- 0:05Speaker 1: Welcome to Just the Cats with Michael Bennett. Hello, Big
- 0:13Speaker 1: Blue Nations, Welcome to Just the Cats. My name is
- 0:17Speaker 1: Michael Bennett on this Wednesday. So dude to me July
- 0:22Speaker 1: twenty second, you didn't do it?
- 0:24Speaker 2: I did do it?
- 0:26Speaker 1: Are you okay?
- 0:26Speaker 2: Yeah? I did do it. Okay, I didn't hear you.
- 0:30Speaker 1: Okay, my right. Then, Well there you go. I hope
- 0:32Speaker 1: everybody's having a great day surviving those storms from yesterday.
- 0:35Speaker 1: But my goodness, that was quite a day yesterday afternoon.
- 0:40Speaker 1: But you'd like to join us, you can go at
- 0:42Speaker 1: five oh two three four. If you'd like to text
- 0:47Speaker 1: us on the Whiskey Teak text line, you can do
- 0:49Speaker 1: that at five oh two four one four fourteenth fifteen.
- 0:51Speaker 1: Tweat me at Just the Cat Radio. As we got
- 0:54Speaker 1: a big day of you know, talk, conversation, a little
- 0:58Speaker 1: bit of everything. So but uh, I will have to
- 1:01Speaker 1: say justin by the way, how are you doing this morning?
- 1:04Speaker 2: I'm good. I'm a little concerned with your sound quality,
- 1:08Speaker 2: but it's okay.
- 1:09Speaker 1: Oh is that bad?
- 1:11Speaker 2: It's not that bad, it's just it's different.
- 1:14Speaker 1: Yeah, I can't help it. I had to go out
- 1:17Speaker 1: to Churchill down and so I gotta go back out
- 1:22Speaker 1: there in just a little bit. But I'm trying to
- 1:24Speaker 1: do it from a playtop that would work well, but
- 1:26Speaker 1: clearly it's not working well. But anyway, I I I'm
- 1:31Speaker 1: sorry about that just for today. So uh but.
- 1:34Speaker 2: Uh anyway, is that a little better? Way better? Yes? Okay, good, yes,
- 1:41Speaker 2: all right.
- 1:42Speaker 3: See I'm a man of of of technical uh fixtures.
- 1:47Speaker 2: Okay, I can fix tech. This, this I can live with.
- 1:50Speaker 2: I don't know that I could have lived with the
- 1:52Speaker 2: way it was, but this.
- 1:53Speaker 3: Is yeah, this is fine, okay, good, all right, I'm
- 1:56Speaker 3: glad this is much better than so.
- 1:58Speaker 1: Uh.
- 1:59Speaker 3: Anyway, but how was yesterday for you? I mean that
- 2:03Speaker 3: was you and I both love thunderstorms, but I will
- 2:08Speaker 3: say yesterday was a bit of a different level of
- 2:12Speaker 3: a thunderstorm that I wasn't really ready for. And I'm
- 2:17Speaker 3: sitting at my kitchen table trying to get some work done,
- 2:22Speaker 3: and I'm telling you justin I what they didn't say
- 2:26Speaker 3: it was a tornado out by by my house, but
- 2:30Speaker 3: it sure seemed like the way the wind was coming
- 2:33Speaker 3: it made me stop and watch and get a little concerned.
- 2:37Speaker 3: As far as those were some strong storms yesterday.
- 2:40Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, I'll be honest with you. And before
- 2:43Speaker 2: I say this, let me just say thoughts and prayers
- 2:46Speaker 2: out to anybody that may have been expected. But I
- 2:49Speaker 2: was disappointed. Oh you are, I was. I was very,
- 2:53Speaker 2: very disappointed. I had heard about these storms for several
- 2:57Speaker 2: days now, I was excited about them. It came through
- 3:00Speaker 2: my house in probably ten minutes, and then it was gone.
- 3:05Speaker 2: Sun came out, So it was. It went from being
- 3:09Speaker 2: a a this massive storm that I was looking forward
- 3:11Speaker 2: to to just this little baby that did. I don't
- 3:14Speaker 2: even know that the wind even.
- 3:15Speaker 3: Picked up really, oh no, I mean it was a
- 3:19Speaker 3: torrential downpour, an absolute deluge of water coming from the sky.
- 3:24Speaker 3: The wind was crazy. The lights flickered several times. I
- 3:30Speaker 3: had to deal with the internet. You know, anytime the
- 3:33Speaker 3: internet goes out, everything goes out in my house, So
- 3:36Speaker 3: I had to deal with that. It was and then
- 3:39Speaker 3: on top of it all, I was actually really concerned
- 3:43Speaker 3: about that storm. I mean I'm generally never concerned about it.
- 3:48Speaker 3: And to the point where I ran outside. We've got
- 3:50Speaker 3: umbrellas on our deck. I ran outside in the downpour
- 3:55Speaker 3: pushed those umbrellas down so they're laying on the ground
- 3:58Speaker 3: so they don't become to project dials. And that's that's
- 4:02Speaker 3: how scary it was at my house. So I'm disappointed
- 4:05Speaker 3: you were disappointed at yours.
- 4:06Speaker 2: You should have come over to mine. Yeah, that probably
- 4:08Speaker 2: should have. And you know, I was listening to Mike
- 4:11Speaker 2: Rutherford yesterday and his show that poor Guy. Their podcast
- 4:15Speaker 2: from yesterday is gonna be the highest listened podcast, and
- 4:17Speaker 2: that show is really because there had to be twenty
- 4:23Speaker 2: five weather interruptions, like the people no, yeah, they're so.
- 4:28Speaker 2: It felt like every five minutes the show is being interrupted.
- 4:32Speaker 2: So that was that was pretty crazy. And the way
- 4:34Speaker 2: that sounded, it felt like it was gonna be a
- 4:38Speaker 2: good storm and all that, and it just I don't know,
- 4:40Speaker 2: I was just disappointed. Okay, well, I'm disappointed for you.
- 4:45Speaker 2: But yeah, they did.
- 4:47Speaker 3: I didn't watch the news this morning, but they said
- 4:50Speaker 3: they had some tornado south of US south of town
- 4:53Speaker 3: and that area. Is that correct, That's what I've heard, Okay, Okay, well,
- 4:57Speaker 3: hopefully everyone is.
- 4:58Speaker 2: Okay.
- 4:59Speaker 3: I don't know if you saw the video, but a
- 5:01Speaker 3: person had a video camera on their back deck overlooking
- 5:05Speaker 3: their pool and they were showing how everything was ripped
- 5:09Speaker 3: up and pushed out of the way because of the
- 5:13Speaker 3: wind coming through there.
- 5:14Speaker 2: It was just it was crazy to watch.
- 5:15Speaker 3: I do enjoy when the thunder comes through the lightning.
- 5:19Speaker 3: I mean, for some reason, thunder is relaxing to me.
- 5:26Speaker 3: And I don't know why that is, but it's it's
- 5:29Speaker 3: always been really relaxing to me for some reason.
- 5:33Speaker 2: But uh, anyway.
- 5:35Speaker 3: It was it was fun and uh but I wish
- 5:38Speaker 3: we could get those kinds of things on a daily basis.
- 5:41Speaker 2: I just I just do. But anyway, all right, Uh.
- 5:45Speaker 3: So I'm still getting a lot of grief for the
- 5:50Speaker 3: whole I'm not I guess I'm being attached to it.
- 5:53Speaker 2: With the whole Archie good One yesterday it was ridiculous.
- 5:59Speaker 2: Like every five minutes there's somebody adding to it and
- 6:03Speaker 2: saying something. It was ridiculous.
- 6:06Speaker 3: And for the life of me, I don't understand why
- 6:09Speaker 3: I'm being a part of this other than I didn't
- 6:12Speaker 3: say Archie Goodwin had a beef. I said that Aaron
- 6:17Speaker 3: Harrison had the beef. So I didn't. I didn't understand
- 6:21Speaker 3: that at all. Did do you understand how he could
- 6:25Speaker 3: Archie good One could be so upset with me that
- 6:28Speaker 3: he has to block me.
- 6:30Speaker 2: I mean, I just thought it was funny that there
- 6:33Speaker 2: were so many differing opinions on both sides. Like some
- 6:36Speaker 2: people were like, screw you, Archie and others were like, no,
- 6:40Speaker 2: You'll always be one of us. It was. It was
- 6:42Speaker 2: fascinating to follow, for sure completely and switching of the mic. Perfect,
- 6:50Speaker 2: there we go.
- 6:50Speaker 3: How's that that better? How's that for Michael Bennett running
- 6:53Speaker 3: like great? Doing a radio show going between different locations,
- 6:57Speaker 3: And yeah, I've never been more confused in my radio
- 7:00Speaker 3: I know you're not, and that's okay. I'm okay with it.
- 7:03Speaker 3: I'm trying to balance way too many things. But I
- 7:06Speaker 3: got to go back out there in a little bit.
- 7:08Speaker 3: So anyway, it's it's this is fun What what people
- 7:12Speaker 3: don't know? The first ten minutes of this ridiculous show,
- 7:16Speaker 3: I've been driving from Churchill to here, so I've literally
- 7:19Speaker 3: been in my car trying to get.
- 7:21Speaker 2: What do you have to do out there? Again? I forgot?
- 7:24Speaker 3: Okay, So Sovereign Spirit, who is a horse that we
- 7:30Speaker 3: haven't seen a kill stable, is getting his gate card today.
- 7:35Speaker 3: So in other words, in order for a horse to
- 7:39Speaker 3: be approved to go racing in a race, you have
- 7:43Speaker 3: to go through the starting gate and people have to
- 7:46Speaker 3: approve you saying, Okay, he's okay to go through a
- 7:49Speaker 3: starting gate, So that's what I that's what I'm gonna
- 7:51Speaker 3: go do. And he's gonna breeze, So there you go.
- 7:53Speaker 3: Yeah interesting, Is that interesting to you? Okay, I didn't
- 7:57Speaker 3: know that there. It's a big deal.
- 7:59Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean I gets yes, I should have assumed
- 8:00Speaker 2: that that was a thing, but yeah, I never never
- 8:03Speaker 2: really knew that you had to go through like training
- 8:05Speaker 2: for getting in a gate. I didn't either.
- 8:07Speaker 3: Uh, pretty self explanatory. Well that's what you would you
- 8:10Speaker 3: would think. So, but that's that's what we're doing. And
- 8:14Speaker 3: uh so I just I feel like I kind of
- 8:17Speaker 3: need to be there and make sure everything goes okay.
- 8:20Speaker 3: And and uh the cool part is Martin Garcia will
- 8:23Speaker 3: be riding him the one of the famous uh Derby jockeys,
- 8:28Speaker 3: uh and he really likes this horse, and so we'll
- 8:31Speaker 3: see hot goes and hopefully it's not too terribly disappointing.
- 8:35Speaker 3: I've all, I'm always afraid it's gonna be one of
- 8:38Speaker 3: those situations where he sucks and and now it's just
- 8:41Speaker 3: because everything's gonna suck and anyway, but we'll see stink
- 8:45Speaker 3: and thinking it is stinking thinking and a lot of
- 8:48Speaker 3: times I guess what Michael Bennett stinking at stinking thinking.
- 8:51Speaker 2: So anyway, uh now.
- 8:54Speaker 3: Uh, we haven't talked about you know, we talked about
- 8:57Speaker 3: what will Stein has said, which has really got and
- 9:00Speaker 3: a lot of people riled up. I think in a
- 9:02Speaker 3: positive way the fact that this whole is because of
- 9:06Speaker 3: me thing. And I've had several conversations with good friends
- 9:13Speaker 3: and people I don't even know wanting to know what
- 9:16Speaker 3: I thought of that. And honestly, I'll repeat what I
- 9:20Speaker 3: said yesterday. I loved it. I had absolutely no problem
- 9:26Speaker 3: with what do you want him to say? Well, we'll
- 9:28Speaker 3: see how it goes. I really don't know why good
- 9:33Speaker 3: things are happening and recruits are one. Of course it's
- 9:35Speaker 3: because of him. If you think it's because of UK,
- 9:39Speaker 3: the fan base, the stadium, the environment that we create there, no,
- 9:45Speaker 3: that's not at all. We don't have a history of that.
- 9:47Speaker 3: Although I do believe UK is one of the more
- 9:51Speaker 3: underrated environments. When the team is good, number one and
- 9:55Speaker 3: they're playing really well, I think Commonwealth it's not a
- 10:00Speaker 3: in LSU, Alabama, Georgia or anything by any means, but
- 10:04Speaker 3: it can be so as far as what will Stein
- 10:07Speaker 3: said the other day on Monday, which is two days now.
- 10:11Speaker 3: I just I feel like it's fantastic. It's got an
- 10:15Speaker 3: excitement in the fan base again, and he's gotta believe
- 10:18Speaker 3: in himself. If you don't believe in yourself, then you're
- 10:21Speaker 3: always gonna have an aura that people like. Okay, you
- 10:25Speaker 3: can kind of tell they don't believe. Am I wrong
- 10:27Speaker 3: in believe in that?
- 10:28Speaker 1: No?
- 10:29Speaker 2: I think you're spot on with everything you've said so far. Okay, good, well,
- 10:33Speaker 2: I mean I'm right there with you. I felt the
- 10:35Speaker 2: exact same way. It's not my coach, but I love
- 10:39Speaker 2: that he came out and said that. I love the confidence.
- 10:41Speaker 2: I love that that that quote could have gone sideways,
- 10:44Speaker 2: and it can go sideways in two three years whatever.
- 10:48Speaker 2: If this all doesn't work out, maybe it comes back
- 10:50Speaker 2: in his face, but I think for right now, it's
- 10:53Speaker 2: what BBN needed to hear. I love that he came
- 10:56Speaker 2: out and said it. It just it shows his his confidence,
- 10:59Speaker 2: and you want to head coach. That's confidence. Well. See.
- 11:01Speaker 2: I love the other part.
- 11:02Speaker 3: We didn't talk about this yesterday, but the comment that
- 11:04Speaker 3: he said, I do consider myself as psychotic as Big
- 11:09Speaker 3: Blue Nation because I am.
- 11:10Speaker 2: One of them.
- 11:11Speaker 3: I think that's another great statement that we didn't talk about.
- 11:15Speaker 3: And now can you switch back and forth. That's the
- 11:20Speaker 3: question I've always struggled with because he grew up. We
- 11:25Speaker 3: all know his dad, mom went to the UK's dad
- 11:28Speaker 3: played at UK. He grew up a UK fan. He
- 11:30Speaker 3: always he admitted that. Listen, when when I was a
- 11:33Speaker 3: kid in UK would lose, I would cry, I'd get emotional.
- 11:36Speaker 3: We all been through that as a as a sports fan.
- 11:39Speaker 3: If you're a true sports fan of a particular team
- 11:42Speaker 3: like I am of Kentucky, you do get emotional, good times,
- 11:46Speaker 3: bad times. You know me, justin when Kentucky basketball is
- 11:50Speaker 3: playing and they're not playing very well, I pace, I
- 11:52Speaker 3: turned the TV off. I got to go do something else.
- 11:54Speaker 3: When I'm at the State, at the Reperina, or I'm
- 11:57Speaker 3: at the NCAA tournament, I gotta walk away. I gotta
- 12:02Speaker 3: go downstairs somewhere and just get my mind off for
- 12:06Speaker 3: a met We're all like that.
- 12:07Speaker 2: Now. He played at U of L.
- 12:10Speaker 3: Let's use somebody else as an example, And let's just
- 12:14Speaker 3: use someone figured. I can't think of anybody right now
- 12:17Speaker 3: that grew up a certain fan and then went and
- 12:18Speaker 3: played for somebody else and then came back. This is
- 12:21Speaker 3: an unusual situation for sure, for anyone out there.
- 12:26Speaker 2: Do you feel like.
- 12:29Speaker 3: That person can grow up a fan of a school
- 12:32Speaker 3: or a team, and then all of a sudden they're
- 12:35Speaker 3: playing for an opposing team that happens to be a rival,
- 12:40Speaker 3: and then he goes back and becomes a part of
- 12:44Speaker 3: that team he used to love as a kid. You
- 12:47Speaker 3: feel like people can realistically go back and forth. And
- 12:51Speaker 3: because I feel like he can do it, I feel
- 12:55Speaker 3: like anybody can do it going back to the team
- 12:58Speaker 3: you were absolutely in love with as a kid. Now,
- 13:02Speaker 3: can't he go back and become a U of L
- 13:04Speaker 3: fan again? I don't really think so. I don't think
- 13:07Speaker 3: he was probably ever a Louisville fan. You don't think
- 13:09Speaker 3: so either, Okay, That's kind of how I felt. It's like,
- 13:12Speaker 3: was he truly a fan at U of L when
- 13:16Speaker 3: he played there.
- 13:17Speaker 2: I mean, he probably loved his time at Louisville. He
- 13:20Speaker 2: was probably rooting for the boys to go out and
- 13:22Speaker 2: get some wins because he's part of the team. But
- 13:24Speaker 2: I don't imagine he was ever a little like, I
- 13:27Speaker 2: can't I can't imagine a scenario where he graduated from
- 13:30Speaker 2: Louisville and then was just following all Louisville sports. He
- 13:34Speaker 2: may have still followed the football program because of his
- 13:36Speaker 2: ties to it, but I can't imagine he was sitting
- 13:39Speaker 2: on his couch watching Louisville basketball or volleyball games actively
- 13:43Speaker 2: cheering for the game.
- 13:43Speaker 3: And see here's the difference too. The players are all gone.
- 13:48Speaker 3: And the other part is everybody associated with the team
- 13:52Speaker 3: when he played there, they're not there, right. I think
- 13:55Speaker 3: that makes it a little easier for will Stein to say, yeah,
- 14:00Speaker 3: I'm all in Big Blue.
- 14:02Speaker 2: Yeah. I mean, he grew up a Kentucky fan. So
- 14:04Speaker 2: you're while your mindset may have shifted along the way
- 14:09Speaker 2: because of certain scenarios that you've been through, ie playing
- 14:12Speaker 2: at Louisville, you're you're still gonna go back to what
- 14:15Speaker 2: you knew as a kid, and now is being a
- 14:17Speaker 2: Kentucky fan. If you if that's the way you grew up,
- 14:20Speaker 2: that's the way you're always gonna be. Yeah.
- 14:22Speaker 3: See that's kind of how I feel, because here's the
- 14:27Speaker 3: other Okay, I do have an example. My dad, my dad,
- 14:32Speaker 3: and mom grew up in Nashville, Tennessee. My dad grew
- 14:34Speaker 3: up a die hard Tennessee fan, I mean die hard.
- 14:39Speaker 3: He in fact had a tryout on the football side
- 14:44Speaker 3: with General Nayland. You know who General Nayland is, Yeah,
- 14:48Speaker 3: to the stadiums day, exactly.
- 14:50Speaker 2: Yes.
- 14:51Speaker 3: And really my dad always kidded and said, well, they
- 14:54Speaker 3: didn't really want to recruit me. They just invited me
- 14:56Speaker 3: because they really wanted my best friend. And then didn't
- 14:59Speaker 3: want my best friend to ride the bus from Nashville
- 15:01Speaker 3: all the way to Knoxville by himself. And evidently General
- 15:05Speaker 3: Nalen went up to my dad says, Muster Bennett, you're
- 15:08Speaker 3: a good football player, just not good enough at Tennessee.
- 15:11Speaker 3: And that was his tryout and so they got his
- 15:16Speaker 3: best friend and that was the end of that. So
- 15:18Speaker 3: I always thought that was funny. But he became really
- 15:24Speaker 3: good friends with the coach, Johnny Majors. They played golf
- 15:29Speaker 3: quite a bit. And then when Tennessee fired, well it
- 15:34Speaker 3: starts before that. When my brother went to UK, my
- 15:37Speaker 3: mom told him, now, Jerry, you're going to be a
- 15:40Speaker 3: Kentucky fan. Starting to get today because your son goes
- 15:43Speaker 3: to Kentucky. And my dad was smart and said, yes, ma'am.
- 15:47Speaker 3: And then when they fired, Johnny Majors as head coach.
- 15:52Speaker 3: That's when my dad said, yeah, I'm all in Kentucky.
- 15:54Speaker 2: Now.
- 15:55Speaker 3: Do you think, deep down inside my dad was still
- 15:57Speaker 3: a Tennessee fan. Yes, so do I. I do too,
- 16:03Speaker 3: And I always felt bad because I Tennessee is the
- 16:06Speaker 3: team I probably dislike the most more than any other
- 16:09Speaker 3: team out there, and I would say stuff about tenns
- 16:12Speaker 3: and then I would feel the older I got, the
- 16:13Speaker 3: more I'd like, yeah, you gotta stop that, because I
- 16:15Speaker 3: think my dad still likes them. Yeah, and it just guaranteed. Yeah,
- 16:20Speaker 3: it just made me feel bad. So that was a
- 16:22Speaker 3: good example right there. But anyway, I just I've always questioned,
- 16:28Speaker 3: was will Stein really a UOL fan?
- 16:30Speaker 2: So because I think it's gonna be tough for him.
- 16:32Speaker 3: Do you think Rick Pettino roots for U of L
- 16:37Speaker 3: or UK more? He was at U of L more
- 16:40Speaker 3: and long or I should say longer than he was
- 16:43Speaker 3: at UK. Do you think he is a UK fan
- 16:46Speaker 3: more or a U of L fan more?
- 16:47Speaker 2: I mean, obviously now with Mark Pope and the coach,
- 16:50Speaker 2: it's probably UK. But quite frankly, I don't think Rick
- 16:54Speaker 2: Patino gives one iota about either of those schools. See
- 16:57Speaker 2: I disagree with you. I don't. And I could see
- 17:00Speaker 2: him in his New York accent being like, why do
- 17:02Speaker 2: I can't? No?
- 17:04Speaker 3: I And that's a pretty good one right there. It's
- 17:06Speaker 3: almost like a John F. Kennedy, though it's more of
- 17:08Speaker 3: a Boston accent. Okay, I mean, I'm sorry you and
- 17:11Speaker 3: I can't do act. I know you did, and you
- 17:13Speaker 3: did a great you can't just not in New York one, okay.
- 17:17Speaker 2: Uh. I think here's what I believe.
- 17:20Speaker 3: I think this is a great question for everybody if
- 17:22Speaker 3: you want to text in and tell me what you think.
- 17:25Speaker 3: Five w to four one four fourteen fifty on the
- 17:27Speaker 3: whiskey teed text line, do you think will Stein was
- 17:30Speaker 3: ever a U of L fan? And do you think
- 17:33Speaker 3: Rick Bettino roots for U of L and or UK
- 17:38Speaker 3: more or he doesn't care. I think that's a good
- 17:41Speaker 3: question to put on Twitter, I really do, and put
- 17:44Speaker 3: a survey out there and what do you think?
- 17:46Speaker 2: But I don't know.
- 17:47Speaker 3: I just I've always wondered that because I can tell you.
- 17:50Speaker 3: I think another one is Rich Brooks. You know Rich
- 17:53Speaker 3: Brooks famously coached at Oregon and UK. I didn't think
- 17:58Speaker 3: he roots. It's probably somewhat even but he lives in Oregon. Now,
- 18:04Speaker 3: I tend to think he roots for Oregon more than
- 18:06Speaker 3: he roots for But if it was a head to head,
- 18:08Speaker 3: I think he'd root for Oregon.
- 18:10Speaker 2: Who do he grow up a fan of? Though? I
- 18:12Speaker 2: have no idea, because that's who he's a fan of. Really,
- 18:15Speaker 2: same thing with Rick Bettino, but he looted Reck Bettino.
- 18:18Speaker 2: Grow up a fan of, That's who he's a fan of. Now,
- 18:21Speaker 2: not all about growing up? Yeah, But I mean these
- 18:25Speaker 2: were just stepping stones too in his career, right, I
- 18:29Speaker 2: mean anybody we're talking about, it's just a stepping stone spot.
- 18:32Speaker 2: Do you give your all for that school? Absolutely? But
- 18:35Speaker 2: do you watch them as a fan after you're done
- 18:38Speaker 2: from there? I truly don't think. I think John Somerl
- 18:42Speaker 2: is another good one. Is John Someral somewhat still a
- 18:45Speaker 2: UK fan? If he was then yeah, well he played
- 18:48Speaker 2: in the UK. Then that doesn't just because you played somewhere,
- 18:52Speaker 2: it doesn't make you a fan of that school, I think. So.
- 18:55Speaker 2: I well, then that's tearing down everything you said about
- 18:58Speaker 2: will Stein. Will Stein's so he's a louisvill fan. No,
- 19:02Speaker 2: I just think you in every situation, you just do
- 19:05Speaker 2: what you gotta do what's best for you, and I
- 19:08Speaker 2: just I don't think that's exclusive to being a fan
- 19:11Speaker 2: of that school.
- 19:12Speaker 3: Okay, all right, I just uh, I thought it was
- 19:14Speaker 3: a fun question. But uh, anyway, we gotta take a break.
- 19:18Speaker 3: I'm not gonna go John one long. I promise five
- 19:21Speaker 3: O two four that's gonna become a thing you know,
- 19:23Speaker 3: that's gonna stick in my head forever, just to let
- 19:26Speaker 3: you and I'm gonna throw it over there to you
- 19:28Speaker 3: and so and like John did. But anyway, still makes
- 19:31Speaker 3: me laugh some of the stories you told. I'm just
- 19:33Speaker 3: glad John came and filled in for me. He's just
- 19:36Speaker 3: he's not on the radio all the time, so he
- 19:38Speaker 3: needs a little more coaching. I'll help him out, or
- 19:40Speaker 3: you help him out with that. You're the professional. Five
- 19:43Speaker 3: O two four one four fourteen fifty. You wanted to
- 19:45Speaker 3: a feed in on this, I would appreciate it because
- 19:47Speaker 3: I don't have many topics today. I U and I
- 19:50Speaker 3: need listener help. So if you want to do that
- 19:52Speaker 3: and help me out, I would greatly appreciate it. But
- 19:55Speaker 3: five O two four one four fourteen fifty on the
- 19:58Speaker 3: Whiskey feed text line, stay right there more just the
- 20:00Speaker 3: cat's coming.
- 20:01Speaker 1: Right out there, everybody, No.
- 20:08Speaker 2: Mo Savada three. But you want to go to jail bird,
- 20:12Speaker 2: I ever did see you, I shall would be the
- 20:14Speaker 2: lighted when you pumping me, come on to.
- 20:16Speaker 1: Do the jail line.
- 20:18Speaker 2: Rivaling men, you right on my brain.
- 20:22Speaker 1: You must love as a man saying you broke my
- 20:27Speaker 1: three your registered glittering balls A fine.
- 20:39Speaker 2: Good guitten ball. Wow, we're going. Were gone alternative yesterday
- 20:45Speaker 2: to old old, old old school today. I can't tell
- 20:50Speaker 2: you what my brain's doing. Is that really? Why? Oh?
- 20:53Speaker 3: I know why. I know why your brain is doing
- 20:56Speaker 3: what it's doing today.
- 20:58Speaker 2: You got mad.
- 21:00Speaker 3: You just told me you got mad on your show
- 21:03Speaker 3: because what people were saying about Indiana.
- 21:05Speaker 2: And you know what, I let it bother me, you did,
- 21:09Speaker 2: I let it bother me. But that's not why my
- 21:11Speaker 2: brain is the way it is. I'm just have a
- 21:13Speaker 2: walk up today. Whah I am, I'm ready to go.
- 21:17Speaker 2: I'm excited. This is a big day. It's it's it's
- 21:21Speaker 2: it's gonna be a big day in so many ways.
- 21:22Speaker 2: So you need to make it a big day for
- 21:24Speaker 2: you too. Oh it's gonna be a big day, Oh
- 21:25Speaker 2: it is. It's gonna be a good day. Okay, all right, then,
- 21:28Speaker 2: well I'm waiting for you to answer your zoom. So uh, anyway,
- 21:32Speaker 2: five O two three eight four fourteen fifty you want
- 21:34Speaker 2: to call in five O two four to one four
- 21:36Speaker 2: fourteen fifty. You want to text in on the Whiskey
- 21:37Speaker 2: Thief text line? We don't use to whatever this thing
- 21:41Speaker 2: Google meet? Okay, did you send me one? Well?
- 21:43Speaker 3: I just joined with the last pass code you sent me.
- 21:46Speaker 2: Well I closed that one out? Oh you did? You
- 21:48Speaker 2: were done?
- 21:49Speaker 3: Okay? All right, okay, good Uh so let's get through
- 21:54Speaker 3: a couple of these texts. Uh, your brother's texting and
- 21:57Speaker 3: zach lightning hit a tree in my grandparents yard? Did
- 22:01Speaker 3: that hit in your grandparents chard yesterday?
- 22:03Speaker 4: Uh?
- 22:04Speaker 2: Those are not my grandpa? Oh? Okay?
- 22:06Speaker 3: Uh, knocked out their pump in their fish pond, fried
- 22:11Speaker 3: their router for internet, and busted their water main.
- 22:16Speaker 2: Crazy stuff. How do you like that?
- 22:19Speaker 3: Hit a tree, knocked out their pumping their fish pond
- 22:24Speaker 3: fried there. I thought it was gonna say fried their fish,
- 22:26Speaker 3: But anyway that would have been that would have been awesome.
- 22:30Speaker 3: Fried the router for internet, and busted their water Maine.
- 22:33Speaker 3: Good gosh, where do they live by the way as well. Georgetown, Georgetown. Okay,
- 22:40Speaker 3: hey Michael, this is Daryl good from Paducah. You were
- 22:43Speaker 3: talking yesterday how you would like to have J. D.
- 22:45Speaker 3: Shelburne songs one day and some other local group another day.
- 22:51Speaker 3: How about just one day only some Daryl Goods music. Haha,
- 22:55Speaker 3: have a great day, guys. I see I started something.
- 22:58Speaker 3: Now I'm worried I won't be able to stop. I
- 23:01Speaker 3: gotta squeeze Darryl in still it's coming. Oh so, so
- 23:04Speaker 3: the one text that said you're not gonna do it
- 23:07Speaker 3: was right?
- 23:08Speaker 2: You didn't do it? Well, I just I don't have
- 23:11Speaker 2: a great memory. I got the memory of a goldfish.
- 23:14Speaker 2: We all know that. I just I just constantly forget.
- 23:16Speaker 2: I'll get don't worry all right, then yeah, we'll get
- 23:20Speaker 2: Darryl no offense. We'll get one song in and that'll
- 23:22Speaker 2: be it. But I can't start playing. Hey, Michael, I
- 23:25Speaker 2: gotta say next thing, you know, I'm gonna have a
- 23:28Speaker 2: guy named Shannon send me one of his songs with
- 23:30Speaker 2: a band called Alice Blue Gown. And I'm not doing that. Okay.
- 23:34Speaker 2: The amount of emails that we get at the other
- 23:37Speaker 2: station I work at, Yes, from Independent artists like, hey,
- 23:40Speaker 2: can you play? It is exhausting how many emails we
- 23:45Speaker 2: get about well.
- 23:45Speaker 3: Are you aware of this? I talked to JD. Shelburnon
- 23:50Speaker 3: let me think Monday. He called me, and he's playing
- 23:54Speaker 3: in the concert this weekend at the Oldham County Fair
- 23:56Speaker 3: up in Lagrange, Kentucky. I'm thinking about our I don't
- 24:00Speaker 3: think it's Lagrange, but wherever the Oldham County Fair is,
- 24:03Speaker 3: I think I'm going to be going to that. By
- 24:07Speaker 3: the way he told me this, do you realize he's independent?
- 24:12Speaker 3: He is not a part of a record label.
- 24:15Speaker 2: You did it.
- 24:18Speaker 3: When he told me that story, I'm like, JD, I
- 24:23Speaker 3: have a new found respect for you. He goes, that's
- 24:26Speaker 3: the way I've always been when I got to Nashville.
- 24:28Speaker 3: He goes, I just I've never had a record label
- 24:30Speaker 3: pick me up here he is. He's had all those
- 24:34Speaker 3: music videos, he's had all this music go and is
- 24:38Speaker 3: ranked up there in country music. He's been to the
- 24:41Speaker 3: Grand Old Opry and play there. I mean, all of
- 24:45Speaker 3: that he has done on his own. How amazing is that?
- 24:51Speaker 3: I'm not kidding. I have a new level of respect
- 24:54Speaker 3: for what JD. Shelburne has done for himself.
- 24:57Speaker 2: Wonder if he's had any opportunities with Wade or not.
- 25:01Speaker 2: He said no.
- 25:02Speaker 3: Really's surprising, and that's what I think. It's like, he's
- 25:06Speaker 3: got how many albums? Seven albums, eight albums, and and
- 25:10Speaker 3: yet doesn't have a major label.
- 25:13Speaker 2: And I'm like, why.
- 25:14Speaker 3: Why He's he's clearly extremely talented, and he's booked all
- 25:19Speaker 3: these things. Now he is a manager, but he's booked
- 25:21Speaker 3: all these gigs. Uh, and doing really well. I just
- 25:24Speaker 3: it is like fantastic, Uh, John here, awesome, Michael. You
- 25:28Speaker 3: are giving it for the show, to make it to work.
- 25:32Speaker 2: Uh.
- 25:32Speaker 3: You and Justin work well together and make a great team.
- 25:35Speaker 3: Will Stein. Will Stein definitely got me cheering for the
- 25:39Speaker 3: right reasons. I agree with you, Michael. I have said
- 25:41Speaker 3: it more than once, but Kentucky football will win six.
- 25:45Speaker 2: Games or more this season if they only if they
- 25:50Speaker 2: win six games, John, it's only because college football is down.
- 25:54Speaker 2: It's gonna be a down year. Well done, Justin. I
- 26:03Speaker 2: know exactly what you're doing right there, because Uh, I
- 26:07Speaker 2: will say, John's that wrong.
- 26:08Speaker 3: Indiana only won a national title because football's down. I
- 26:13Speaker 3: don't want to upset you, but man, you came in
- 26:16Speaker 3: here and said it's been a tough morning already. I mean,
- 26:20Speaker 3: people were giving me a hard time for IU football.
- 26:22Speaker 2: Not a lot gets under my skin when I do this,
- 26:25Speaker 2: but I did for some reason.
- 26:27Speaker 3: Yeah, that's I want more of under the skin Justin, Kaylin, Okay,
- 26:31Speaker 3: I just I enjoy it. You walk over here and
- 26:34Speaker 3: you are absolutely disgusted, and I'm like, I gotta.
- 26:38Speaker 2: Have more of this. And evidently the culprit was our
- 26:42Speaker 2: good friend John here. Yeah, John and Lexington Texter, who
- 26:45Speaker 2: are normally enemies. On the text line, Oh really, they
- 26:48Speaker 2: both teamed up on me. They really? Yeah.
- 26:51Speaker 3: I just I love people that dislike each other grouping
- 26:55Speaker 3: together to go against Justin. I mean, that's that's that's
- 26:58Speaker 3: just awesome. But let's see here. One person said, oh goodness,
- 27:06Speaker 3: hold on, let me get to make sure I get.
- 27:07Speaker 2: The right one.
- 27:08Speaker 3: I've been a UK fan from Louisville since stay one.
- 27:11Speaker 3: I would have won one hundred percent gone to Louisville
- 27:14Speaker 3: if they offered me, and UK didn't, especially with Charlie
- 27:17Speaker 3: Strong or Patrino when he was rolling as the headman.
- 27:20Speaker 3: There's nothing wrong with that Will did, or nothing wrong
- 27:24Speaker 3: with what Will did?
- 27:25Speaker 2: What was he?
- 27:26Speaker 3: What was he supposed to do go play at campus
- 27:28Speaker 3: will as something. I listen, I'm not disagreeing with you.
- 27:31Speaker 3: I'm not criticizing will Stein for going to u of
- 27:35Speaker 3: L at all. Joker I believe it was Joker Phillips.
- 27:39Speaker 3: Was it Joker Phillips as a coach and he just
- 27:41Speaker 3: didn't offer will Stein And so therefore will Stein's like, well,
- 27:45Speaker 3: I got an offer over here at u of L.
- 27:46Speaker 3: I listen, I would have done the same thing. I'll
- 27:49Speaker 3: tell you right now. I'll give you another example. And
- 27:51Speaker 3: that's a great comment right there. Texter will Smith, who
- 27:56Speaker 3: plays right now for the the Los Angeles Dodgers, grew
- 28:00Speaker 3: up and his dad is the same way.
- 28:04Speaker 2: Die die die hard.
- 28:06Speaker 3: UK fans, and that's what they are still see. But
- 28:11Speaker 3: will was offered a scholarship to go play at u
- 28:17Speaker 3: of L. UK didn't even consider him, which blows my mind.
- 28:22Speaker 3: Whoever the coach, I don't remember who the baseball coach
- 28:26Speaker 3: was at that time. I mean, that's a travesty. He
- 28:28Speaker 3: could have been at UK, been one of the greatest
- 28:30Speaker 3: players to ever be at UK, but they didn't do it.
- 28:33Speaker 3: So he goes to u of L, becomes a great player,
- 28:37Speaker 3: and look where he's now he's on injured reserve right now.
- 28:39Speaker 3: He still has that. I think it's a neck injury,
- 28:42Speaker 3: isn't it. I'm not sure. With Will Smith, yeah, he's
- 28:45Speaker 3: been out since June, which has been a real bummer.
- 28:47Speaker 3: But anyway, so I'm right there with you. Text here,
- 28:50Speaker 3: don't skip my first text, Michael is too funny. I'm sorry,
- 28:58Speaker 3: I'm your first text.
- 28:59Speaker 2: I think our right there. Credit Okay.
- 29:01Speaker 3: Will Stein isn't a Louisville fan even though he played there.
- 29:05Speaker 3: But John Summerle is a UK fan because he played there.
- 29:09Speaker 3: There isn't any bigger, big Blue hypocrite than Michael Bennett.
- 29:12Speaker 2: I love it. How a my hypocrite? I mean you
- 29:18Speaker 2: just that whole situation. You were just talking in circles.
- 29:22Speaker 2: I let's talking circles a whatnot? Oh my goodness. Well,
- 29:26Speaker 2: when you have hectic mornings like I have had today,
- 29:29Speaker 2: that's a bit of the problem. So anyway, one person said,
- 29:33Speaker 2: let me see, make sure I get this now. Forty
- 29:35Speaker 2: eight handily Scoots be counter punching, and that is so true.
- 29:43Speaker 2: The Pride of Faraday, Louisiana. Jerry Lee Lewis saw him
- 29:48Speaker 2: in Cardinals Stadium at the State Fair in nineteen sixty nine, The.
- 29:52Speaker 3: Killer Holy wow. A long time ago. I was three
- 29:57Speaker 3: years old. I was, yeah, yeah, I mean that's crazy.
- 30:02Speaker 3: Ezard Charles was great counter puncher. I don't know who
- 30:06Speaker 3: Zerd Charles not familiar. Okay, all right, din well please
- 30:10Speaker 3: boll means keep those texts coming in five, two, four, one, four,
- 30:14Speaker 3: fourteen fifty. So a couple of things that Greg sank.
- 30:18Speaker 3: The commission of the Southeastern Conference set on Monday. Haven't
- 30:21Speaker 3: talked about it yet, and I felt like, well, in
- 30:24Speaker 3: a lot of come on, it's got to be a
- 30:26Speaker 3: good reason. Everything that will Stein said took precedence. I mean,
- 30:31Speaker 3: I want to talk about UK and will Stein, but
- 30:33Speaker 3: let's let's now that it's been a day longer. I
- 30:36Speaker 3: feel like we've talked about will and when he said enough,
- 30:38Speaker 3: if you want to continue to talk about I'm happy
- 30:40Speaker 3: to because he's got me pumped for football. It can't
- 30:44Speaker 3: come soon enough. Do I think we're gonna have six wings?
- 30:48Speaker 3: I'm not there yet, but I think it'll be exciting,
- 30:51Speaker 3: it'll be fun to watch, and we'll see how that handles.
- 30:56Speaker 2: But by the way, real quick. Ezard Charles was a
- 30:58Speaker 2: boxer known as the Cincinnati Cobra.
- 31:04Speaker 3: Wow, what a weird nickname, a Cincinnati Cobra for a boxer. Okay,
- 31:11Speaker 3: I mean it is interesting how many well known boxers
- 31:15Speaker 3: we've had from Louisville, Kentucky in the surrounding area. That
- 31:18Speaker 3: is one sport I would never want to play, no,
- 31:21Speaker 3: would you. No, I've literally and I hope it never happens.
- 31:26Speaker 3: I hope I'm not jinxing it. But I'm not a
- 31:28Speaker 3: believer of jinx. I've literally never been in a physical
- 31:31Speaker 3: fight before my life, really, even as a kid. Yeah,
- 31:35Speaker 3: I just I wasn't a fighter.
- 31:36Speaker 2: I was a lover.
- 31:37Speaker 3: I used, I just used my words. I mean, you
- 31:41Speaker 3: come at me, I'm going to come right back at you.
- 31:43Speaker 3: But no, I just I've never been in a fight before.
- 31:46Speaker 3: Does that kind of surprise you?
- 31:48Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean I would have assumed like everybody had
- 31:50Speaker 2: gotten in a fight at some point. No, Like, I've
- 31:53Speaker 2: only been in one and it was in fourth grade,
- 31:55Speaker 2: So I don't I don't even know that it counts.
- 31:57Speaker 3: But yeah, no, I see I think it does count
- 32:01Speaker 3: because not even in elementary school, I wasn't in a fight.
- 32:04Speaker 2: No, not at all.
- 32:06Speaker 3: Greg Sankey said Monday, he made the statement in his
- 32:10Speaker 3: opening remarks that the SEC might be on its way
- 32:14Speaker 3: to self governance. I heard that and I thought, oh boy,
- 32:22Speaker 3: because I wasn't necessarily thinking of Kentucky can get away
- 32:26Speaker 3: with stuff. I'm thinking about certain coaches out there that
- 32:30Speaker 3: are definitely going to push the envelope and probably hoping
- 32:37Speaker 3: that they.
- 32:37Speaker 2: Can go beyond the envelope.
- 32:40Speaker 3: And there are definitely within the SEC, there are definitely three,
- 32:45Speaker 3: maybe four coaches out there that I think will definitely
- 32:48Speaker 3: take advantage of this. When you heard that justin what
- 32:51Speaker 3: were your first thoughts go?
- 32:55Speaker 2: I mean, if you want to leave the NCAA and
- 32:58Speaker 2: have your own governing body, then just too Yeah, I'm
- 33:00Speaker 2: so sick and tired of hearing about it. Just do it,
- 33:03Speaker 2: Just make it happen. So what talking do it? Once?
- 33:06Speaker 2: One pro conference? Does it?
- 33:08Speaker 3: Do you think that is the end of the nc
- 33:10Speaker 3: double A or is there any way the n CUBA
- 33:12Speaker 3: can survive?
- 33:15Speaker 2: I mean, I think it could. Really I don't know.
- 33:19Speaker 2: I haven't spent enough time thinking about this type of thing.
- 33:23Speaker 2: I think it's over. I would I could see a
- 33:26Speaker 2: scenario where you've got two governing bodies both running at
- 33:31Speaker 2: the same simultaneously. The Big ten of the SEC. No.
- 33:35Speaker 2: I mean you you'd have your that's what I think.
- 33:37Speaker 2: You'd have your n C double A with the year
- 33:40Speaker 2: PAC twelve and whatever whatever conferences and then SEC if
- 33:44Speaker 2: and if Big ten wants to join them, they can start.
- 33:47Speaker 3: A n C or whatever. Well here's what I look at.
- 33:50Speaker 3: I look at respect. Nobody respects the NC double anymore.
- 33:55Speaker 3: If anything, they're fighting against them. And that's why THEA
- 34:00Speaker 3: is trying to go to the US government to get assistance.
- 34:04Speaker 3: It's like, listen, we've got these rules, we're trying to
- 34:07Speaker 3: emphasize them and enforce them. Nobody's listening. We need the government.
- 34:11Speaker 3: You gotta go to the stinking court. You got Nate
- 34:15Speaker 3: Oats down at Alabama fighting it, you got Duke constantly
- 34:19Speaker 3: fighting it, you got Texas Tech fighting it. I mean,
- 34:22Speaker 3: you got all these different schools. Nobody respects the UNC
- 34:25Speaker 3: double anymore, So why is it in existence.
- 34:28Speaker 2: I'm just glad I lived through through the time of
- 34:31Speaker 2: when college athletics was the absolute best. I agree it sucks.
- 34:35Speaker 2: I mean everything that's happening now I cannot stand it.
- 34:39Speaker 2: I feel awful for the violated in sixty years who
- 34:43Speaker 2: were trying to watch college athletics because it's gonna be
- 34:46Speaker 2: a shell of what we grew up with, and that sucks.
- 34:48Speaker 2: It does. We're just destroying everything. So how do you
- 34:52Speaker 2: fix it? Though you don't. You already opened the box,
- 34:55Speaker 2: You open multiple boxes. You can't shut the lids now.
- 34:59Speaker 3: So since Dora's box is opened, now, you don't think
- 35:03Speaker 3: you could ever go back and close it again. Now
- 35:05Speaker 3: you don't think it's repairable. So then you're answering my question,
- 35:09Speaker 3: and you are now on my side saying, if you
- 35:11Speaker 3: can't go back and fix it, then there's no reason
- 35:14Speaker 3: for the existence of the NCAA.
- 35:16Speaker 2: I mean, there may be some things that you could
- 35:19Speaker 2: go back and fix and correct, but no, I think
- 35:22Speaker 2: the majority of the stuff that's going on now in
- 35:25Speaker 2: college athletics is it's here to stay. Unfortunately.
- 35:28Speaker 3: Okay, Well, I just feel like, when and if they
- 35:32Speaker 3: do all right, what percentage of chance do you think
- 35:35Speaker 3: the SEC breaks away from the SEC from the NCUBA.
- 35:40Speaker 2: But then what timeframe Let's say two years? Oh? Really
- 35:47Speaker 2: that low? Okay? Now, if you bump that up to
- 35:50Speaker 2: ten years, I'd probably be sitting around eight to ten. See,
- 35:55Speaker 2: I disagree.
- 35:56Speaker 3: I think that the fact that Greg Sanky brought it
- 35:58Speaker 3: up excuse me at their biggest media day football that
- 36:04Speaker 3: they're online to really excuse me, get away from it
- 36:10Speaker 3: sooner than later. But that's my point, Michael is Greg
- 36:13Speaker 3: Sankey will be gone inten Ye how many years have
- 36:15Speaker 3: we been hearing about this?
- 36:16Speaker 2: It feels like this is the fifth or sixth year now,
- 36:20Speaker 2: Like that's why my mindset has just stopped talking and
- 36:23Speaker 2: do it. That's why my number is so low because
- 36:26Speaker 2: I don't think they'll actually take action.
- 36:28Speaker 3: So then why bring it up? Why do you think
- 36:30Speaker 3: Greg Sankee takes the time to specifically bring this up?
- 36:34Speaker 2: Maybe some sort of leverage situation. I don't know it is.
- 36:37Speaker 2: What are they trying to leverage that? I don't know.
- 36:39Speaker 3: That's the part. And I'm right there with you, I think,
- 36:43Speaker 3: what are you trying to leverage? Why are you saying this?
- 36:46Speaker 3: So we got to take another break when we come back.
- 36:48Speaker 3: Greg Sankee also mentioned something else about the rule changes
- 36:51Speaker 3: that the SEC is making. Uh, one of them. I
- 36:56Speaker 3: guess I kind of like the other one. It's like whow.
- 36:59Speaker 3: So we'll talk about those two rule changes and plus
- 37:02Speaker 3: you know little Uh, we need to have Matt Austin
- 37:04Speaker 3: come back. Yeah, it's almost time to have Matt Austin,
- 37:07Speaker 3: so we'll start scheduling him the next month. But uh, anyway,
- 37:11Speaker 3: follow two four one four fourteen fifty you want to
- 37:13Speaker 3: text him on a whiskey thief text line?
- 37:14Speaker 2: I would appreciate it. We'll see him in all right.
- 37:57Speaker 2: This is definitely some wild music you're playing today. God
- 38:02Speaker 2: oh is that?
- 38:03Speaker 1: Oh?
- 38:03Speaker 2: Okay?
- 38:04Speaker 3: Well, you're getting excited about this and I'm glad it's
- 38:07Speaker 3: kind of waking you up. So if you like that, listen,
- 38:09Speaker 3: I'm all for it. So John here again five O
- 38:12Speaker 3: two four one four fourteen fifty four text in on
- 38:15Speaker 3: the whiskey theve thanks wide want I want both John,
- 38:21Speaker 3: where's it John from Lexison?
- 38:23Speaker 2: I want him.
- 38:23Speaker 3: Corresponding on this too. Uh, John here again? Maybe you
- 38:27Speaker 3: would be right justin. However, if Kentucky football beats Alabama
- 38:32Speaker 3: thirty eight to three, then you would be correct. Now,
- 38:36Speaker 3: if they win twenty one to twenty eight, then you
- 38:39Speaker 3: are getting a true matchup of what we have seen
- 38:42Speaker 3: in years past with dynasty years of Alabama. The proof
- 38:46Speaker 3: is in the scores. It was not that IU was
- 38:50Speaker 3: just that darn good that was there was a little
- 38:53Speaker 3: of Alabama and others not living up to some of
- 38:56Speaker 3: their past dynasty runs. Justin you have to understand what
- 38:59Speaker 3: I am saying.
- 39:00Speaker 2: I understand what you're saying, John, doesn't mean I agree
- 39:02Speaker 2: with it. I still think you're wrong. Really okay, all right, Dan.
- 39:07Speaker 2: One person said they're trying to leverage the Protect College
- 39:11Speaker 2: Sports Act? Do you all pay attention anything you try
- 39:16Speaker 2: to talk about? No quick answer, there is no.
- 39:22Speaker 3: I realize they are, but it's still I still think
- 39:27Speaker 3: it's a viable threat. Though you are correct, sir, and
- 39:31Speaker 3: I appreciate that. What is it or ma'am or ma'am? Yeah,
- 39:37Speaker 3: it could be a ma'am, but it could be Karen.
- 39:40Speaker 3: So it is all about the Protect College Sports Act.
- 39:45Speaker 3: Some people are happy about some people are not.
- 39:47Speaker 2: I mean, but we'll see.
- 39:50Speaker 3: I just tend to feel like we're closer than ever
- 39:54Speaker 3: about leaving the NCAA behind the SEC, and I feel
- 39:58Speaker 3: like the being tend in the same way. Well, if
- 40:00Speaker 3: one goes, then the wall starts crumbling down. I just
- 40:04Speaker 3: feel like it, if one of these conferences go, it's over.
- 40:08Speaker 2: I don't think one would go without the other, though
- 40:11Speaker 2: I could be wrong with that.
- 40:12Speaker 3: I don't know it seems like the SEC has been
- 40:15Speaker 3: Greg Sankie's been pretty stubborn about what the commission of
- 40:18Speaker 3: the Big Ten is trying to do, and I think
- 40:21Speaker 3: the Big Ten commissioner has been kind of baffled by that.
- 40:23Speaker 3: He figured that the Greg Sanki would fall right in
- 40:26Speaker 3: line with him, you know.
- 40:29Speaker 2: I mean, I think they will eventually. I don't. I
- 40:32Speaker 2: don't know. I'm so tired of talking about it.
- 40:35Speaker 3: Greg Sanki mentioned football rule change for the upcoming season.
- 40:39Speaker 3: They're gonna include targeting in the second half will not
- 40:43Speaker 3: force players to sit out of the first half of
- 40:45Speaker 3: the next game.
- 40:47Speaker 2: Love that why? I just I thought that was kind
- 40:51Speaker 2: of a cruel punishment. Really, I mean, but did you
- 40:55Speaker 2: do something in one game and you got to sit
- 40:57Speaker 2: out of half of the next game. That doesn't it
- 40:59Speaker 2: doesn't really make it.
- 41:01Speaker 3: Yeah, but doesn't that allow for players at the end
- 41:04Speaker 3: of game to start targeting other players and make it
- 41:08Speaker 3: even more brutal?
- 41:10Speaker 2: I guess, But what's the point in doing it At
- 41:12Speaker 2: the end of the game. You're not going to see
- 41:13Speaker 2: that team again. Yeah, but you're not gonna have to
- 41:17Speaker 2: sit out the next game. So if the game is closed,
- 41:21Speaker 2: you might as well start targeting and try and take
- 41:24Speaker 2: that player out that's not There has to be a penalty.
- 41:28Speaker 2: I mean, that can't happen just to Okay, due to
- 41:31Speaker 2: the spirit.
- 41:31Speaker 3: Of the sport, offensive pass interference is reduced from fifteen
- 41:34Speaker 3: yards to ten yards. Really, yeah, to me, ten yards
- 41:39Speaker 3: is nothing.
- 41:42Speaker 2: To me.
- 41:43Speaker 3: I like the NFL version where it's spot of the foul.
- 41:47Speaker 3: I hate Oh do you really?
- 41:48Speaker 2: I hate that?
- 41:50Speaker 3: But that's what the penalty should be. Though, Why do
- 41:53Speaker 3: you hate it so much?
- 41:55Speaker 2: It's just it's such a cheap way to get a
- 41:57Speaker 2: huge chunk of yardage. I mean, in the NFL specific
- 42:00Speaker 2: then don't interfere. You'll just have four games. Guys go
- 42:03Speaker 2: right up the scene and at some point if they
- 42:06Speaker 2: get caught or if they get held or whatever they
- 42:09Speaker 2: get I don't know. It's just a cheap way to
- 42:11Speaker 2: pick up fifty sixty yards. Well why go from fifteen
- 42:14Speaker 2: to ten yards though? Because that's ten yards is nothing.
- 42:17Speaker 2: I think you're going to see a lot more past
- 42:19Speaker 2: interference now because who cares if you give up ten
- 42:22Speaker 2: yards ten yards? If they're first intent on their own
- 42:25Speaker 2: ten yard line and the game's getting ready to run out,
- 42:28Speaker 2: you might as well just past interference. I mean it
- 42:31Speaker 2: probably ups the scoring. You think taking it down those
- 42:34Speaker 2: five yards, okay makes it more exciting. I didn't. I
- 42:37Speaker 2: didn't like the changes. I don't know.
- 42:39Speaker 3: I guess I'm kind of for the targeting and sitting out,
- 42:45Speaker 3: but I don't know if I'm for this fifteen yard
- 42:47Speaker 3: pass interference going down now to ten yards. I thought
- 42:50Speaker 3: that was kind of odd. But uh, anyway, we'll we'll
- 42:54Speaker 3: just we'll see how that stands out.
- 42:56Speaker 2: But I don't know.
- 42:59Speaker 3: Maybe maybe I'm just an idiot, but so let's I
- 43:03Speaker 3: get it. One person said, For all u IU championship doubters,
- 43:08Speaker 3: I'll just ask, how about that Miami offensive line? They
- 43:12Speaker 3: facing the game for all the marbles? Were they having
- 43:16Speaker 3: a down year? I think that's a great question right there.
- 43:20Speaker 2: Yeah, they were horrible. We should have beat him by
- 43:24Speaker 2: more than six. That defensive line.
- 43:26Speaker 3: Was One person said, friendly reminder that Chip Kelly is
- 43:30Speaker 3: still coaching college football now as the offensive coordinator at Northwestern.
- 43:35Speaker 3: I didn't realize this, really, I did not know that.
- 43:39Speaker 3: If you haven't already googled Northwestern's new stadium and Chip
- 43:42Speaker 3: kelly construction outfit, both are glorious to look at. Okay,
- 43:47Speaker 3: now I gotta look at it. He's wearing the really
- 43:51Speaker 3: oh yeah, oh no, please, And here it comes. It's
- 43:55Speaker 3: all right, you simply google it and it comes up
- 43:58Speaker 3: to media. Oh my gosh, this is a horrible look.
- 44:03Speaker 3: Is he now speaking with a Chicago accent?
- 44:06Speaker 2: Probably?
- 44:08Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean this might be the goofiest thing I've
- 44:11Speaker 3: ever seen. Why did you eat, Texter? Why did you
- 44:13Speaker 3: tell me to look that up? This is glorious, This
- 44:17Speaker 3: is idiotic. Did you see, speaking of alpha, his head
- 44:21Speaker 3: is gigantic, by the way.
- 44:23Speaker 2: Yeah, speaking of outfits, did you see the running back
- 44:28Speaker 2: Cedric Alexander yesterday of Media Days from Vanderbilt? No, I
- 44:31Speaker 2: miss that very very interesting outfit he's wearing. He's wearing.
- 44:38Speaker 2: I'll try to describe it the best I can. What's
- 44:41Speaker 2: his name? His name is Cedric Alexander, Cedric with an ass. Yeah,
- 44:46Speaker 2: just just look it up. Okay. Yeah, he's got this
- 44:48Speaker 2: big chain on over like a collared shirt and a
- 44:52Speaker 2: bow tie. It's a it's a wild look.
- 44:56Speaker 3: Really okay, all right, I'm ready to be all about it,
- 45:01Speaker 3: so I like, looks. Yeah, it's not coming up yet,
- 45:06Speaker 3: so I'll find it during the break and figure it out,
- 45:08Speaker 3: But I mean I do I listen. I like style
- 45:11Speaker 3: and when people come out there and want to have
- 45:14Speaker 3: a particular style. So he has a bow tie on
- 45:18Speaker 3: what else.
- 45:20Speaker 2: It's like a collared shirt with a bow tie and
- 45:22Speaker 2: of just a big old chain and that's it. Yeah.
- 45:26Speaker 3: I don't get the big chain outside the shirt. I've
- 45:29Speaker 3: never understood that. But I mean, if that's your look,
- 45:32Speaker 3: hey man, that's your look.
- 45:34Speaker 2: I don't.
- 45:35Speaker 3: It's kind of like, who's the baseball announcer on field
- 45:39Speaker 3: that always wears the bow tie that people are really
- 45:42Speaker 3: getting kind of tired of? That is Ken Rosenthal because
- 45:47Speaker 3: his true colors came out when they were dumping water
- 45:50Speaker 3: on him and then he almost tripped over a cameraman
- 45:52Speaker 3: and he chewed out the cameraman and it's like cameraman
- 45:54Speaker 3: was just sitting there, dude, he did nothing wrong. So
- 45:58Speaker 3: I yeah, that's that. I like bow ties. I think
- 46:01Speaker 3: it fits on some people.
- 46:03Speaker 2: Some people. It doesn't. Every Derby I like wearing at
- 46:06Speaker 2: least one day a bow tie. I think they're fun.
- 46:09Speaker 2: I'm not a bow tie guy. Really.
- 46:11Speaker 3: I think it's because I know how to tie a
- 46:12Speaker 3: bow tie that I like. Yeah, I like real boat
- 46:17Speaker 3: don't give me the fake bowtie. I like the real
- 46:19Speaker 3: boat tie.
- 46:19Speaker 2: Give me fake all day. Really, that's all you want
- 46:22Speaker 2: is fake But it looks fake though. That's what I
- 46:25Speaker 2: don't like you, not if you spruce it up correctly.
- 46:28Speaker 2: Really okay? All right? Then?
- 46:30Speaker 3: Uh, when we come back for hour number two, I
- 46:33Speaker 3: want to talk about Big Blue Wall. I mean, it's
- 46:36Speaker 3: getting a lot of attention out there. And then there's
- 46:40Speaker 3: one big outlet that came out and said it's ranked up.
- 46:44Speaker 3: They're pretty high, So I want to talk about that
- 46:46Speaker 3: as well. Uh and uh man, are we ready for
- 46:51Speaker 3: a loaf Amelia tonight? And then who's on the hot
- 46:54Speaker 3: seat in the SEC? I think we're getting close to
- 46:57Speaker 3: seeing who that is, so we'll find out that. So
- 47:00Speaker 3: stay right there. Our number two of Just the Cats
- 47:03Speaker 3: is coming right up.
- 47:36Speaker 1: Welcome to Just the Cats with Michael Bennett.
- 47:41Speaker 3: All right now, we're number two on this Wednesday. Big
- 47:45Speaker 3: news that came out last night or actually just a
- 47:50Speaker 3: little bit ago, Archie good One is expected to play
- 47:55Speaker 3: tonight for.
- 47:55Speaker 2: La Pamelia Hold the How do you like that? And
- 47:59Speaker 2: you know what?
- 48:01Speaker 3: Michael Bennett's taking credit for it. I just want you
- 48:04Speaker 3: to know I charged him up. He is playing tonight.
- 48:08Speaker 3: I'm predicting La Familia to win and beat the bill
- 48:12Speaker 3: and take Montrezl back to his spezzle. What a crazy
- 48:17Speaker 3: twist this is this Not only that Willie College I
- 48:20Speaker 3: was expected to play tonight too with you know his ankle?
- 48:23Speaker 2: I did, I did know that one. But Archie, like
- 48:26Speaker 2: this man literally got bullied into playing tonight. I listen
- 48:30Speaker 2: that what happened.
- 48:31Speaker 3: What if he gets motivated so much that he wants
- 48:34Speaker 3: to show everybody this is why I'm here. I'm here
- 48:37Speaker 3: to save the day, and it's because of me that
- 48:40Speaker 3: La Familia is going on.
- 48:44Speaker 2: This is nuts.
- 48:45Speaker 3: I love this, this is I love the story. To me,
- 48:48Speaker 3: it's gotten to a point. There's so much drama in
- 48:50Speaker 3: this team. It's almost much washed TV for even people
- 48:53Speaker 3: outside of this, these two teams, don't you think so?
- 48:57Speaker 2: I've taken credit. I think I.
- 49:00Speaker 3: Wouldn't be surprised if he's at the front door right now,
- 49:02Speaker 3: trying to knock the door down and wants to see
- 49:04Speaker 3: Michael Bennett tell him there's no beef. I didn't say, Archie,
- 49:08Speaker 3: there is any beef with you and Aaron. I said,
- 49:10Speaker 3: with Aaron and you, this is I love this. I
- 49:15Speaker 3: don't even know what to say. I'm flabbergasted that you
- 49:17Speaker 3: just said that. Yep, Archie Goodwe is in Lexington and
- 49:22Speaker 3: is expected to play in Game three.
- 49:25Speaker 2: So there you go. Has Aaron said anything on Twitter
- 49:28Speaker 2: about this? I have no idea. You gotta look at it.
- 49:31Speaker 2: I knew you'd have to, and that's okay, go look
- 49:34Speaker 2: it up. But all right, so with that happening, now, listen,
- 49:39Speaker 2: I'm excited about this game. I am.
- 49:41Speaker 3: I think it'll be a sold out and b b
- 49:45Speaker 3: in will be there in full force at Historical Memorial
- 49:48Speaker 3: Coliseum and they will be cheering hard for Archie Goodwin,
- 49:53Speaker 3: and I think it'll be a lot of fun. I
- 49:54Speaker 3: hope that he comes to his senses and says, you
- 49:57Speaker 3: know what, maybe I was a little hard on Michael Bennet.
- 49:59Speaker 3: Maybe Ellen lock him so I do anyway?
- 50:02Speaker 2: All right? Yeah? Uh so anything with Aaron Harrison saying there, no,
- 50:06Speaker 2: but he did. I missed this last night. He definitely
- 50:10Speaker 2: mentioned it after Archie had responded to him, basically just
- 50:14Speaker 2: saying he was talking about multiple people. But Archie's getting
- 50:18Speaker 2: the most heat because he was the leading scorer last
- 50:20Speaker 2: year and the team this year. Was pretty much built
- 50:23Speaker 2: around him. Okay, that's what Eric was saying.
- 50:26Speaker 3: Yeah, what what a crazy because he said it's definitely
- 50:30Speaker 3: no beef at all, just the hoops talk.
- 50:33Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 50:34Speaker 3: Yeah, Like I said before, I wasn't talking about just
- 50:38Speaker 3: one player. There were multiple. Yeah, but you really kind
- 50:43Speaker 3: of called out. Come on now you kind of called out.
- 50:47Speaker 2: This is one of the This is one of the
- 50:48Speaker 2: wildest I ever heard.
- 50:51Speaker 3: I'm loving this. I am all for it, and I
- 50:54Speaker 3: am taking one thousand credit for it.
- 50:57Speaker 2: I just am.
- 50:58Speaker 3: I I think the whole beefing got everybody fired up,
- 51:01Speaker 3: that it got Archie.
- 51:03Speaker 2: So fired up.
- 51:03Speaker 3: It's like, I'm going to show them whoever that beIN
- 51:06Speaker 3: it is, I'm going to show him right away.
- 51:08Speaker 2: Anyway.
- 51:09Speaker 3: I hope every goal he makes there you go ben
- 51:11Speaker 3: it and it just tells me every time. I just
- 51:15Speaker 3: I'm looking forward to this. I'm just telling you right
- 51:17Speaker 3: now it will be fun.
- 51:19Speaker 2: Now. Does that change how you feel about this game tonight?
- 51:24Speaker 2: You get it?
- 51:24Speaker 3: Absolutely yeah, And I think this team will be fired up,
- 51:30Speaker 3: will be fired up that they got beat so bad
- 51:34Speaker 3: Monday night. They'll be fired up that we've had this riff.
- 51:38Speaker 3: What well, I mean, honestly, what do you call it?
- 51:41Speaker 3: How else do you describe what happened Monday with Aaron
- 51:45Speaker 3: Harrison calling out Okay, so you weren't calling out Archie Goodwin,
- 51:50Speaker 3: you were calling out all the players that just kind
- 51:53Speaker 3: of quittet the end. I get it, it's got to
- 51:55Speaker 3: be frustrating. But what do you call that? Is that
- 51:58Speaker 3: not a beef? Is it so bad to be have
- 52:00Speaker 3: it called the beef? Is that really a negative? It's
- 52:04Speaker 3: it's beef, That's what I think. I mean, I I
- 52:08Speaker 3: just don't see that as a negative.
- 52:11Speaker 2: I really don't.
- 52:12Speaker 3: And for me to get played for I'm taking credit
- 52:14Speaker 3: if they win tonight, I'm taken thousand percent credit right there.
- 52:18Speaker 3: So I haven't seen the point spread. It's got to
- 52:22Speaker 3: be a point in a half again, I think. And
- 52:25Speaker 3: so I mean this news changes that spread, right, I
- 52:29Speaker 3: have to think so, because he was one of the
- 52:30Speaker 3: better players in TVT last year. So it's it's gonna
- 52:34Speaker 3: be a lot of fun and is definitely a game
- 52:38Speaker 3: changer for this entire team. So it's gonna be it's
- 52:42Speaker 3: gonna be must watch TV. Let's talk about who within
- 52:46Speaker 3: the SEC footballs are on the hot seat. And you
- 52:51Speaker 3: know you've got sixteen teams. There are a few out
- 52:53Speaker 3: there they're not even close to being on the hot seat.
- 52:56Speaker 3: And you know, probably h seven of them there's no
- 53:02Speaker 3: way there on the hot seat. And I'm gonna say
- 53:04Speaker 3: it's it's mostly the new coaches, Lane Kiffin and LSU,
- 53:07Speaker 3: Mike Elcho at Texas A and M John Summer oft
- 53:10Speaker 3: Florida signed Ryan Silverfield at Arkansas, Kirby Smart, even though
- 53:15Speaker 3: he's been at Georgia East, there's no way he's on
- 53:18Speaker 3: the hot seat right now. Clark Lee at Vanderbilt, I
- 53:21Speaker 3: think there's no way he's on the hot seat. It's
- 53:22Speaker 3: not even warm, it's not even anything. And of course
- 53:24Speaker 3: will Stein at UK. Now let's start with the ones
- 53:31Speaker 3: that are getting a little on the lukewarm seat.
- 53:36Speaker 2: How is that? Okay?
- 53:40Speaker 3: I probably put Alex Golish in there as far as
- 53:44Speaker 3: not on the hot seat. Why he just got there exactly,
- 53:46Speaker 3: That's what I'm saying. Not on not lukeworm or anything.
- 53:49Speaker 3: He's on the cold seat.
- 53:52Speaker 2: I'm gonna say that.
- 53:54Speaker 3: Pete Golding at Old Miss, there is some pressure on him.
- 54:00Speaker 3: He just got there too. I know we just got there.
- 54:03Speaker 3: But this is the crazy part. He's been very vocal,
- 54:08Speaker 3: and I think that if he doesn't have that team
- 54:14Speaker 3: moving forward like Lane Kiffen did, I think his seat
- 54:19Speaker 3: is a little lukewarm. I disagree, you disagree, and I'm
- 54:25Speaker 3: good with now.
- 54:25Speaker 2: A couple of years from now, maybe i'd agree with that.
- 54:27Speaker 3: No, I think luke warm. I think lukewarm. And then
- 54:32Speaker 3: if he doesn't go well, it's starting to get warm
- 54:35Speaker 3: in the offseason this year, I bet ole miss gives
- 54:38Speaker 3: him two years. If it doesn't go well, he's out
- 54:41Speaker 3: after year two. Uh, Eli drink Witz, I think there's
- 54:46Speaker 3: a little luke warmness. People are starting to get a
- 54:48Speaker 3: little tired of his whole stick because he's a dork
- 54:52Speaker 3: and calling out.
- 54:54Speaker 2: The Big ten like he did. And uh yeah, I
- 54:57Speaker 2: just I feel like, Eli, are you on board with me?
- 55:00Speaker 2: With Eli drink Witz kind of but kind of not
- 55:06Speaker 2: because Missouri doesn't really have expectations.
- 55:09Speaker 3: Oh, I think they have more expectation than you give
- 55:11Speaker 3: him credit for. Uh So we'll see if that happens
- 55:16Speaker 3: or not. I think Caitlin de Boor at Alabama is.
- 55:20Speaker 2: A little bit on the lukewarm ad came out and
- 55:23Speaker 2: said he's not going anywhere.
- 55:25Speaker 3: Yeah, but he says that and that's the right thing
- 55:28Speaker 3: to say.
- 55:29Speaker 2: Well, it's the reasoning as to why is is what
- 55:33Speaker 2: I put more stock into the fact that you just
- 55:35Speaker 2: you've got to have what's the word I'm looking for, continuity?
- 55:39Speaker 2: No continuity? Continuity? Yeah, I mean it's you. You can't
- 55:43Speaker 2: just have a revolving door of coaches coming in and
- 55:46Speaker 2: out every three four years.
- 55:47Speaker 3: Oh okay, So you think he's kind of taking the
- 55:50Speaker 3: mindset of how much Barnhart was giving him more time.
- 55:54Speaker 3: I still think that with the fan base and boosters
- 55:57Speaker 3: can take over and say no, we've had if if
- 56:00Speaker 3: you want my money, guess what. And that's how you
- 56:03Speaker 3: Even though the AD is saying this, it's like, hey man,
- 56:06Speaker 3: my hands are tied. We're losing money here. I gotta
- 56:09Speaker 3: do something, and unfortunately it's going to mean your job's gone.
- 56:12Speaker 3: So I hear what you're saying. Yes, the AD did
- 56:15Speaker 3: come out and say that. I'm fully supportive. I appreciate
- 56:19Speaker 3: that that's what ads are supposed to do. That is
- 56:22Speaker 3: a part of their job description. You hired him, you
- 56:25Speaker 3: support him. But I just feel like the fan base
- 56:29Speaker 3: is like, this doesn't feel like Nick Saban type teams.
- 56:33Speaker 3: I'm not getting the same vibe that Nick Saban had
- 56:37Speaker 3: down at klen at Alabama with Kaylan de bor Am.
- 56:40Speaker 3: I wrong to say that, I don't think so. No,
- 56:42Speaker 3: it's completely different down there. I think the dynasty is gone,
- 56:46Speaker 3: and a lot of that has to do with Nil too.
- 56:49Speaker 3: It's not just Kailen de Boor, but I think a
- 56:52Speaker 3: lot of that portion. I'd say sixty forty sixty forty
- 56:56Speaker 3: sixty being Kaalen de Boor, forty percent being of of
- 57:00Speaker 3: the Nil. I think that Texas Steve Arkazen are Starkesian.
- 57:05Speaker 3: I think his seat is a little warm. No, yeah,
- 57:08Speaker 3: I do stop.
- 57:10Speaker 2: Really, his seat's not not even a little bit warm.
- 57:16Speaker 3: Well, you're gonna think I'm crazy on this one. Josh
- 57:18Speaker 3: Hipel at Tennessee. That one I can get behind a
- 57:22Speaker 3: little more. A lot of you know who, A lot
- 57:23Speaker 3: of people want to you watch this. If Josh Hypel
- 57:28Speaker 3: does not do well at Tennessee and loses his job,
- 57:33Speaker 3: I'm gonna predict this right now. You market down, Okay,
- 57:37Speaker 3: today is July twenty second, twenty twenty six. You know
- 57:41Speaker 3: who the first phone call is going to be.
- 57:43Speaker 2: There's that? Are you ready for this? Been ready?
- 57:47Speaker 3: Jeff brom I'm just telling you right now, Jeff Brown
- 57:51Speaker 3: wouldn't leave, not for tending. I would not never say that,
- 57:56Speaker 3: not for Tennessee. Yes, so you would. No, I don't
- 57:58Speaker 3: think I am telling you right now. If it doesn't
- 58:01Speaker 3: work out, Tennessee's going after Jeff Brohm and you listen,
- 58:05Speaker 3: I bet you if you asked Mike Rutherford, I bet
- 58:09Speaker 3: you he might agree with me, not with Tennessee. Okay,
- 58:13Speaker 3: why do you say now with Tennessee.
- 58:14Speaker 2: Every because it's I mean, I know you've got like
- 58:17Speaker 2: insider trading going on, but the public perception is that
- 58:22Speaker 2: Jeff will not leave for anywhere other than Notre Dame.
- 58:26Speaker 2: Oh really, and so until I hear otherwise, I'm gonna
- 58:30Speaker 2: that's what I'm wrong. I don't know.
- 58:31Speaker 3: I don't know if they want to go north. I
- 58:33Speaker 3: think they tend to want to go south. I think
- 58:36Speaker 3: Britt Vinable and Oklahoma is under some pressure. Sure, I
- 58:40Speaker 3: think it is not just a lukewarm seat. I think
- 58:43Speaker 3: it's a warm seat there. I'm not gonna say hot,
- 58:46Speaker 3: but I am definitely going to say Britt Vinable he's
- 58:49Speaker 3: got to get it going on at Oklahoma. I mean,
- 58:51Speaker 3: he had an okay season last year in the season
- 58:53Speaker 3: before he was it was just an absolute blunder.
- 58:56Speaker 2: It's bordering on hot.
- 58:58Speaker 3: Really yeah, Okay, yeah, I'm saying warm. You're definitely saying hot.
- 59:02Speaker 2: All right.
- 59:03Speaker 3: These two I think are definitely under the hot seat.
- 59:05Speaker 3: Jeff Libby at Mississippi State, I think that's a struggle there.
- 59:09Speaker 3: I feel bad for him because he he replaced Mike Leach.
- 59:12Speaker 3: Beloved Mike Bleach and everybody out even outside of Mississippi State,
- 59:17Speaker 3: everybody loved Mike Leach and for him to replace him,
- 59:22Speaker 3: that's been a tough situation. I think Coach Levy, I'm sorry,
- 59:27Speaker 3: you're You're definitely under the hot seat. And I think
- 59:29Speaker 3: the hottest seat within the SEC is South Carolina Shane Beamer,
- 59:33Speaker 3: which makes you happy. Yeah, But but what I want
- 59:39Speaker 3: first is I want Kentucky to beat them. I think
- 59:42Speaker 3: if Kentucky beats South Carolina this year, I think it's
- 59:45Speaker 3: over at Shane Beamer's tenure. Ten What am I trying
- 59:49Speaker 3: to say? Tenure at South Carolina?
- 59:53Speaker 2: I really do.
- 59:54Speaker 3: And there's been a number of times that UK has
- 59:56Speaker 3: been responsible for having coaches fired. It's happened Tennessee, has
- 1:00:00Speaker 3: happened at Florida. It's happened at South Carolina in the past.
- 1:00:04Speaker 3: And the crazy part is Shane Beemer could have been
- 1:00:09Speaker 3: making all kinds of money at Virginia Tech. You know,
- 1:00:12Speaker 3: Virginia Tech came after him a couple of years ago
- 1:00:15Speaker 3: and he turned it down. I wonder if he's starting
- 1:00:18Speaker 3: to regret why didn't I go to Virginia Tech.
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: It's in the ACC easier to win bad football, easier
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: to win, Yeah, but is it that's job security right there?
- 1:00:32Speaker 2: If it's easier to win, how can I phrase this
- 1:00:36Speaker 2: phrase it the way you're supposed to. I feel like
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: South Carolina is more rewarding when you win. Being in
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: the SEC and winning, that's more rewarding than being in
- 1:00:46Speaker 2: the ACC and winning well.
- 1:00:47Speaker 3: So, in other words, you think he wants the tough job,
- 1:00:51Speaker 3: which it is. It's tougher to coach. The tough job's
- 1:00:53Speaker 3: more rewarded. Yes, absolutely, if you succeed. But what happens
- 1:00:58Speaker 3: if you don't succeed, then.
- 1:00:59Speaker 2: You get bought out and you're a millionaire for the
- 1:01:02Speaker 2: rest of your life.
- 1:01:02Speaker 3: You are I thought it was funny. Ed Orizron was
- 1:01:05Speaker 3: interviewed within the last couple of hours and now you
- 1:01:09Speaker 3: can do his impression you're down pad on that cajun one.
- 1:01:12Speaker 3: But did you see where the athletic director. He was
- 1:01:15Speaker 3: talking about the athletic director coming to him and talking
- 1:01:17Speaker 3: about listen, you know it's not been a good season
- 1:01:19Speaker 3: and you've got seventeen million on your buyout and.
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: He's like, where's the door. I'm out of here. Just
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: give me my money. And he was. He was like, man,
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: he was gone. I was happy about it. I'd be
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: the same way.
- 1:01:32Speaker 3: He said, he's still really good friends. He was always
- 1:01:34Speaker 3: good friends with the actor athletic director LSU and he's
- 1:01:37Speaker 3: still really good friends with the athletic director. I thought
- 1:01:40Speaker 3: that was hilarious. It's like, no disappointment, Man, just give
- 1:01:44Speaker 3: me my money. I'm out of here. He's such a treasure.
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: I tell you what.
- 1:01:49Speaker 3: He's not as popular, I don't think as Mike Leech,
- 1:01:53Speaker 3: but I think he's pretty seeking close. Yeah, as far
- 1:01:57Speaker 3: as popularity, and the fact that he's an assistant coach
- 1:02:00Speaker 3: at LSU is just brilliant. I think Lane Kiffin did
- 1:02:04Speaker 3: a great job right there because people love them. You
- 1:02:08Speaker 3: gotta believe. When it comes to the recruiting room. One
- 1:02:11Speaker 3: of the coaches that the players, the recruits are probably
- 1:02:14Speaker 3: looking forward to meeting. The most is Ordron. So you
- 1:02:18Speaker 3: bring somebody like that back on your team. I think
- 1:02:21Speaker 3: it's a brilliant move, and kudos to Lane Kiffin for
- 1:02:25Speaker 3: doing that. I agree, But I don't want to give
- 1:02:29Speaker 3: kudos to Lane Kiffen.
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: Why do you dislike him so much? Did somebody's face
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: something about his face? Hey, you just got a punchable face? Okay?
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: Oh okay, is that what it is? Okay? So Will,
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: you're going all Will Ferrell, who's the guy there's you
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: can work on it? Give me you're.
- 1:02:52Speaker 3: Interrupting my own line, my own Yeah, exactly? Is he
- 1:02:55Speaker 3: saying power? I love that part. What's his first name?
- 1:03:02Speaker 3: Rob Wriggles. I think it's just no Wriggle. Okay, Rob Wriggle.
- 1:03:07Speaker 3: He's hilarious every time I see it. You They used
- 1:03:11Speaker 3: to have a segment with him on wasn't It CBS
- 1:03:14Speaker 3: uh for the NFL, and I thought it was brilliant.
- 1:03:18Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I don't think they do it anymore. All right,
- 1:03:21Speaker 3: let's talk about ESPN right now. So you know, like
- 1:03:25Speaker 3: we talked about, was it yesterday or day before? I
- 1:03:27Speaker 3: broke the news about uh ravage but losing his job
- 1:03:30Speaker 3: at the ESPN Was it yesterday? Okay, Carl Ravage. Now
- 1:03:35Speaker 3: a lot of people are blaming one person. Yeah, but
- 1:03:42Speaker 3: just ridiculous, is it?
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: Really? They're blaming two people? Really? All right?
- 1:03:47Speaker 3: Well, one I definitely know helped me out. Pat mcfee's
- 1:03:51Speaker 3: getting the number one blame. Who's the other person?
- 1:03:53Speaker 2: Our guy, Steve Steve Steve Smith. Oh yeah, okay, they're
- 1:04:01Speaker 2: getting blamed for all of this, but it's ridiculous. Why
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: is it ridiculous? I mean, it is now to the
- 1:04:07Speaker 2: point where Pat McAfee is getting paid sixty five million
- 1:04:13Speaker 2: dollars annually. I don't know what Steve's mis getting, but
- 1:04:16Speaker 2: it's it's upwards of that. Pat McAfee is the highest
- 1:04:19Speaker 2: paid guy ever at ESPN. When and how do you
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: not blame those two when they're getting paid that much.
- 1:04:28Speaker 2: It's not their fault, it's not their faults, yes, but
- 1:04:31Speaker 2: it is their fault. Why are we That's the one
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: thing I don't understand. Why are they getting the crap
- 1:04:37Speaker 2: when ESPN is the one making these decisions. ESPN should
- 1:04:41Speaker 2: be getting the crap. Are you gonna seriously tell me
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: that if you're Pat McAfee. And you're making let's say,
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: thirty two million dollars a year, and ESPN comes to
- 1:04:51Speaker 2: you and says, hey, we're gonna give you a raise.
- 1:04:53Speaker 2: How's sixty five million a year? Sound you turn it down?
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: You're gonna turn it down. No, you're gonna be like, well,
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: by ESPN, let's let's do it this way. Those two
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: are the reason for the layoffs, though I'm not blaming them,
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: but because of the hold on, hold on, because of
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: the high price that ESPN and ABC are paying them.
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: That is the reason that all these people are getting
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: laid off. I mean, that's just ESPN being bad at
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: running a business.
- 1:05:28Speaker 3: Even jj Watt chimed in on this. So you go
- 1:05:32Speaker 3: slow slow news day over there on ESPN air waves.
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: Huh.
- 1:05:35Speaker 3: I mean, besides the fact that you're getting paid one
- 1:05:39Speaker 3: hundred million dollars, did they keep anybody or is everybody
- 1:05:43Speaker 3: fired to pay you? I'm trying to figure that out.
- 1:05:46Speaker 3: That's jj Watt saying that. And you know they do
- 1:05:50Speaker 3: have a feud amongst each other. Yeah, but just because
- 1:05:53Speaker 3: because jj Watt said that kickers and punters are not
- 1:05:57Speaker 3: football players, I'd love that comment, by the way, Yeah.
- 1:06:01Speaker 2: But this is ESPN mismanaging funds. I don't know what
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: else to say. I am not giving any blame to
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: Pat McAfee or Steven A. Smith. Is it all right?
- 1:06:12Speaker 2: Are they the reason for it? Maybe? Yes, they are
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: the reason that that is. That's an ESPN problem. Yeah,
- 1:06:18Speaker 2: and those I agree, those two guys shouldn't be getting
- 1:06:21Speaker 2: any heat for that. Like, imagine going to work today
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: if you're Pat McAfee, just the the eerie feeling of
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: everybody against you because they think that you're the reason
- 1:06:33Speaker 2: that their peers got fired. If you're Pat McAfee, you
- 1:06:36Speaker 2: don't want to feel that. You don't want to go
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: into an awkward workplace, and because you still have a
- 1:06:42Speaker 2: job and a lot of your buddies don't. Yeah, for
- 1:06:45Speaker 2: an issue that's not your problem.
- 1:06:47Speaker 3: Exactly, but you can sugarcoat it any way you want.
- 1:06:50Speaker 3: I'm not putting any blame on those two people. But
- 1:06:52Speaker 3: the fact is the reason a lot of people though
- 1:06:55Speaker 3: over there at ESPN the NFL network have lost their
- 1:06:58Speaker 3: job is because of the fact that ABC and NBC
- 1:07:01Speaker 3: are ESPN have paid that much money for those two people.
- 1:07:05Speaker 3: That to me, you can't convince me any other way.
- 1:07:09Speaker 3: It may not be their fault, but that is the reason.
- 1:07:14Speaker 3: I mean, ESPN ABC should have figured out better. It's like,
- 1:07:18Speaker 3: oh wait a minute, guys, I can't pay you that
- 1:07:20Speaker 3: much because if I do, I'm going to have to
- 1:07:22Speaker 3: lay off a lot of people. Now, if they were
- 1:07:24Speaker 3: aware of that and I said, no, this is my deal.
- 1:07:27Speaker 3: If you want me to say here, that's not my issue.
- 1:07:29Speaker 3: You figure out how to keep those people, then it
- 1:07:32Speaker 3: is their fault. We just don't know how this was negotiated.
- 1:07:37Speaker 3: But blame has to go somewhere. And the fact that
- 1:07:41Speaker 3: they're paying I think they're overpaying them by a lot
- 1:07:45Speaker 3: of money. They overpay everybody, Yes, they do. Couldn't agree
- 1:07:49Speaker 3: more so I.
- 1:07:50Speaker 2: Can afford to do when you're the number one sports
- 1:07:53Speaker 2: network there is.
- 1:07:54Speaker 3: Yeah, well that's selfish. Then even Tim Tebow agreed to
- 1:07:58Speaker 3: a new multi year extent. Did you see that. No,
- 1:08:01Speaker 3: they didn't release when he's getting paid, but they certainly
- 1:08:05Speaker 3: said he just got a new extension on his contract.
- 1:08:10Speaker 3: So you could probably add Tim Tebow to that. And
- 1:08:13Speaker 3: he's not getting paid as much as Pat McAfee. But man,
- 1:08:17Speaker 3: something's going on over there, and I just think it's
- 1:08:20Speaker 3: got to slow down because I've seen too many people
- 1:08:23Speaker 3: criticizing definitely Pat McAfee and they're criticizing you're right, Steve Smith,
- 1:08:31Speaker 3: and I.
- 1:08:31Speaker 2: Just don't get it.
- 1:08:32Speaker 3: Why did they go all into those two people when
- 1:08:35Speaker 3: so many people it's like, I don't even watch them.
- 1:08:39Speaker 2: Well, here's the deal. The numbers for ESPN are so
- 1:08:44Speaker 2: they're way down. When's the last time you watched it
- 1:08:46Speaker 2: in ESPN program zero? All right, I'm the same. I
- 1:08:51Speaker 2: couldn't tell you.
- 1:08:51Speaker 3: I couldn't tell you other than SEC football and or
- 1:08:55Speaker 3: SEC basketball.
- 1:08:56Speaker 2: That is. That's pretty much it. Yeah, I mean you
- 1:08:59Speaker 2: we want watch the sports, but we're not tuning in
- 1:09:01Speaker 2: for these shows. Hack Indiana Indiana football had a commitment
- 1:09:07Speaker 2: on Friday on the Pat McAfee show. I didn't even
- 1:09:09Speaker 2: watch it. So it's like nobody's locking into the ESPN
- 1:09:13Speaker 2: programming any and and they they're gonna have to try
- 1:09:16Speaker 2: to figure that out. There. They are still the worldwide leader,
- 1:09:19Speaker 2: but I do think that GAP's closing with with streaming
- 1:09:22Speaker 2: and you're you're seeing more more and more sports on
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: different platforms like Netflix, like Amazon. So the the aura
- 1:09:30Speaker 2: of ESPN it's kind of coming down by in Yeah.
- 1:09:34Speaker 3: Without a doubt, and I can tell you as far
- 1:09:37Speaker 3: as that programming, I don't watch any of those shows.
- 1:09:40Speaker 3: I think they're goofy. They're just a bunch of bluehearts.
- 1:09:43Speaker 3: I mean, I am too, but I just it's goofy.
- 1:09:45Speaker 3: I I watch like for instance, I didn't turn on
- 1:09:49Speaker 3: the SEC network to watch Will Well.
- 1:09:51Speaker 2: Yeah I did.
- 1:09:51Speaker 3: I did turn on the SEC network forget that. Wow,
- 1:09:54Speaker 3: you support ESPN, Yeah I did. I watched will Stein.
- 1:09:58Speaker 3: It's your fault they got let go. Okay, yeah, it
- 1:10:00Speaker 3: is my f he did fire Cam Newton.
- 1:10:02Speaker 2: That sucks.
- 1:10:03Speaker 3: Yeah, I like Cam Newton. I'm sorry to see that
- 1:10:05Speaker 3: he had done a really good job and that goofy
- 1:10:08Speaker 3: had he wears. I'm pay with it. That ridiculous in
- 1:10:11Speaker 3: the sunglasses. I've always liked Cam Newton. I don't know why.
- 1:10:15Speaker 3: I think he's a freak of an athlete that just
- 1:10:17Speaker 3: didn't turn out in the NFL. But man, in college
- 1:10:20Speaker 3: he was one of the best. But anyway, all right,
- 1:10:22Speaker 3: we gotta take a break, h and I gotta cut
- 1:10:24Speaker 3: loose in just a little bit. What we'll do one
- 1:10:26Speaker 3: more segment than justin Thank you very much for taking
- 1:10:29Speaker 3: over me. But I want to talk about the okay,
- 1:10:33Speaker 3: I guess you did so anyway, all right, we gotta
- 1:10:35Speaker 3: take a break. Stay right there. This is Jessica.
- 1:10:38Speaker 4: Indeed, I don't know what's a dude to me? Splitch splash.
- 1:11:01Speaker 2: I was taking the bath long about a Saturday nine
- 1:11:06Speaker 2: who rubbed up, just selection in the tub taking Everything
- 1:11:11Speaker 2: was all right.
- 1:11:12Speaker 4: When I stepped out the tub and put my feet
- 1:11:15Speaker 4: on the floor, I wrapped the toddle around man, I
- 1:11:18Speaker 4: opened the door and.
- 1:11:19Speaker 2: Then a split splash. I jumped back in the bath.
- 1:11:22Speaker 2: Well I was out and know there was a party
- 1:11:24Speaker 2: going on it.
- 1:11:25Speaker 3: Can you imagine writing a song about the bathtub? And seriously,
- 1:11:30Speaker 3: I think I'll write a song about taking a bath
- 1:11:33Speaker 3: and it became so popular that it's played what fifty
- 1:11:36Speaker 3: years later? Sixty years later? That's yeah, seventy years. I
- 1:11:40Speaker 3: mean when was that fifty I'd say it's in the fifties.
- 1:11:43Speaker 3: So seventy almost eighty years later, that song is still played.
- 1:11:47Speaker 3: Who's that Fats Domino?
- 1:11:48Speaker 2: Is that right? That was Bobby Dare.
- 1:11:50Speaker 3: Oh okay, I would have never known that, but anyway,
- 1:11:53Speaker 3: we'll congratulations to him for doing that. Let's talk about
- 1:11:55Speaker 3: the Big Blue Wall. If you're not familiar, with the
- 1:11:58Speaker 3: Big Blue Wall, that the nine oh fifty eight. Okay,
- 1:12:02Speaker 3: all right, then there is a couple of outlets that
- 1:12:08Speaker 3: are giving high praise that UK's big Blue Wall is back,
- 1:12:14Speaker 3: one of them being CBS Sports. They ranked UK's offensive
- 1:12:18Speaker 3: line at number three in the country.
- 1:12:19Speaker 2: Wow.
- 1:12:21Speaker 3: Now does that give you a different outlook on UK?
- 1:12:28Speaker 3: If UK's offensive line is one of the top ones
- 1:12:33Speaker 3: in the nation, one of the top three, does that
- 1:12:36Speaker 3: give you a little bit different of an outlook on
- 1:12:38Speaker 3: UK football in general?
- 1:12:40Speaker 2: Now? I mean to me, it does. I'm glad it
- 1:12:42Speaker 2: not really you, but it doesn't really for me because
- 1:12:44Speaker 2: the schedule still is what the schedule is. Yeahpp, But
- 1:12:46Speaker 2: if the schedule is that way, okay, I'm sorry, and
- 1:12:49Speaker 2: I hate to keep harping on the schedule, but it is.
- 1:12:52Speaker 2: I mean, it's I was telling somebody yesterday, it's probably
- 1:12:55Speaker 2: the hardest football schedule I've ever seen. Yeah, across the
- 1:12:59Speaker 2: landscape of college I mean, it's it's brutal. So that
- 1:13:03Speaker 2: is encouraging to hear. I love that, But I still
- 1:13:06Speaker 2: think you're up against a huge task each and every week.
- 1:13:10Speaker 3: Really, Okay, all right then, because to me, if you
- 1:13:14Speaker 3: want a good football team, isn't the line the first thing?
- 1:13:18Speaker 3: You start with the offensive line? I guess you tell
- 1:13:23Speaker 3: me if you want a halfway decent quarterback there, don't
- 1:13:28Speaker 3: you want to know? Hey man, do I have a
- 1:13:29Speaker 3: good offensive line?
- 1:13:31Speaker 2: I mean, it definitely makes everybody in the backfield's job easier, quarterback,
- 1:13:35Speaker 2: running back, everybody. I mean it. Look look at we
- 1:13:39Speaker 2: talked about yesterday, but let me look at the season
- 1:13:41Speaker 2: with Brock Vandergriff and that alive line was awful. Yeah,
- 1:13:44Speaker 2: Brock probably should have looked a lot better had he
- 1:13:47Speaker 2: had a decent offensive line. And then you look at
- 1:13:49Speaker 2: the Will Levis season. His first season, offensive line was
- 1:13:52Speaker 2: awesome and he put up great numbers. So it does
- 1:13:56Speaker 2: go a long way to making the game of football
- 1:13:59Speaker 2: just that much easy.
- 1:14:00Speaker 3: That that equates to the quarterback getting protection, having enough
- 1:14:04Speaker 3: time to pass. Then that allows for the wide receivers
- 1:14:08Speaker 3: to get downfield to at least get open catch a pass.
- 1:14:11Speaker 3: That it gives holes in the line for the running
- 1:14:14Speaker 3: backs to run. I mean, it gives all kinds of options.
- 1:14:18Speaker 3: It all is related. Now, granted, you do have to
- 1:14:21Speaker 3: have a halfway decent defense too, but on the offensive side,
- 1:14:24Speaker 3: it all starts with the line, and if uk has
- 1:14:28Speaker 3: the number three offensive line in the country, that makes
- 1:14:32Speaker 3: me feel a little different. Maybe we do have a chance.
- 1:14:35Speaker 3: I'm not gonna say sit here and say that. Yeah,
- 1:14:38Speaker 3: I'm buying fully in. As I've said the last three days.
- 1:14:43Speaker 3: I'm buying in on will Stein. Yeah, and you should be.
- 1:14:46Speaker 3: And I'm buying in on some of these players, like,
- 1:14:48Speaker 3: for instance, they're talking about Willie Rodriguez, the uh tight
- 1:14:52Speaker 3: end and the possibility to playing in the NFL, and
- 1:14:55Speaker 3: on Sundays coming to it for him after his days
- 1:14:58Speaker 3: at UK over and it's like, Okay, finally are we
- 1:15:01Speaker 3: going to pass to a tight end? Is this when
- 1:15:04Speaker 3: it's gonna Is this the year of the tight end?
- 1:15:07Speaker 3: I feel like tight end will be used this year.
- 1:15:09Speaker 3: I do too, and that opens up so many other
- 1:15:12Speaker 3: opportunities when you do that.
- 1:15:13Speaker 2: Go ahead. I was reading a quote yesterday Raush had
- 1:15:16Speaker 2: written an article about I guess he had talked to
- 1:15:19Speaker 2: some of the players down there in media days and
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: was basically just asking, who are we not talking enough about?
- 1:15:25Speaker 2: And I can't think of the kid's name, but there's
- 1:15:27Speaker 2: a freshman tight end who they're very high on him.
- 1:15:31Speaker 2: So outside of you got your top two guys at
- 1:15:34Speaker 2: tight end, but I think that freshman will get used
- 1:15:36Speaker 2: as well, So I do. I think tight end will
- 1:15:37Speaker 2: be a pretty heavily used position this year. I hope so.
- 1:15:42Speaker 3: But when I see these stats coming up, and it's
- 1:15:45Speaker 3: not just CBS Sports at saying this, there are other
- 1:15:47Speaker 3: ones out there. I mean there have been i'd say
- 1:15:50Speaker 3: probably three or four other outlets, national outlets that are
- 1:15:54Speaker 3: saying UK has one of the top offensive lines, and
- 1:15:57Speaker 3: I'm just thinking this is awesome and uh so the
- 1:16:01Speaker 3: possibilities that opens up.
- 1:16:03Speaker 2: I'm sorry, it was not a it was not a freshman.
- 1:16:05Speaker 2: It was a sophomore. But Michel Skinner is they're all
- 1:16:10Speaker 2: pretty high on him as well, really from that tight
- 1:16:12Speaker 2: end Yeah, okay, good. Minschi singled him out specific Oh
- 1:16:16Speaker 2: Minschi did says everyone has their own unique attributes their abilities,
- 1:16:20Speaker 2: but he's very, very explosive.
- 1:16:23Speaker 3: Huh okay, Well, if your quarterback is uh saying that,
- 1:16:28Speaker 3: then feels like a good thing.
- 1:16:30Speaker 2: Definitely.
- 1:16:31Speaker 3: So it's like, okay, all right, we're gonna have to
- 1:16:34Speaker 3: see what happens.
- 1:16:35Speaker 2: Now. Uh, let's talk a little bit about baseball.
- 1:16:38Speaker 3: If you didn't Baba, that's a good song by the way.
- 1:16:42Speaker 4: Uh.
- 1:16:43Speaker 3: Former UK baseball shortstop Tyler Bell finalized his deal with
- 1:16:48Speaker 3: the Colorado Rockies on Monday.
- 1:16:50Speaker 2: Nice.
- 1:16:50Speaker 3: He will reportedly make six million dollars.
- 1:16:55Speaker 2: Must be nice.
- 1:16:57Speaker 3: Yeah, But isn't it crazy though? It's there is such
- 1:17:00Speaker 3: a difference between sports. If this was NFL, if this
- 1:17:07Speaker 3: was NBA, they would be talking about a lot more money. Yeah,
- 1:17:12Speaker 3: and yet with baseball at six eight granted sixteen dollars.
- 1:17:16Speaker 3: You're right, it's a lot of money, especially when you're
- 1:17:19Speaker 3: twenty one, twenty two years old. And congratulations to Tyler Bell?
- 1:17:23Speaker 3: Or did you get drafted Colorado Rocky?
- 1:17:25Speaker 2: Know what? Like? What round? Oh? A first roundud? Oh? Yeah?
- 1:17:29Speaker 3: I think he was eighteen or something like that. One
- 1:17:32Speaker 3: of the highest, second highest UK Baseball player to be drafted.
- 1:17:37Speaker 2: Here's the highest. I don't remember. Oh come on, man,
- 1:17:40Speaker 2: come on, I am not doing any research on the
- 1:17:42Speaker 2: stuff we talk about. Here we go. Yeah, thank you
- 1:17:44Speaker 2: very much. Mister Texas.
- 1:17:46Speaker 3: Are you the one texting in some weird line right
- 1:17:49Speaker 3: there and calling me out?
- 1:17:50Speaker 2: Is that what it is? Oscar Combs gives me Mikey,
- 1:17:53Speaker 2: you really you know this stuff? You're right? Bell was
- 1:17:56Speaker 2: a tenth overall pick. Okay, tenth overall. Also, I do
- 1:17:59Speaker 2: have a spread for the TVT game as well to
- 1:18:02Speaker 2: do you sow whata's shocking? I don't know that the
- 1:18:06Speaker 2: sports books know what's going on yet, but Louisville is
- 1:18:10Speaker 2: a two and a half point favor.
- 1:18:11Speaker 3: Oh really, I would say it's because of the beatdown
- 1:18:15Speaker 3: Monday night.
- 1:18:15Speaker 2: Yeah, and they probably just hadn't gotten news of Archie
- 1:18:18Speaker 2: good one yet.
- 1:18:19Speaker 3: Yeah, because I think that's the other thing exactly, that's
- 1:18:22Speaker 3: a great point. It has to be because they did
- 1:18:25Speaker 3: not know. Now it'll be adjusted, don't you think it'll
- 1:18:28Speaker 3: be completely Do you think that the uh it'll change
- 1:18:32Speaker 3: to where UK is favored by a tip off?
- 1:18:36Speaker 2: That wouldn't surprise me. I mean with this rabbit as
- 1:18:39Speaker 2: BBN is and yeah, that that wouldn't shock me at all.
- 1:18:42Speaker 2: I mean, I'll be honest with you. I've already put
- 1:18:44Speaker 2: in my wager for the Cats. Oh you have? Yeah?
- 1:18:48Speaker 2: Oh that's not good two and a half. I can't
- 1:18:50Speaker 2: really pass that up when at home. Okay, So sorry
- 1:18:54Speaker 2: ahead of time if I I spurred it all? All right?
- 1:18:57Speaker 3: Well, now now I have a different outlak on this
- 1:19:00Speaker 3: basketball all of a sudden. Yeah, more juicy yet does.
- 1:19:04Speaker 3: I mean, everyone out there listening puts your money on
- 1:19:07Speaker 3: U of L because that's you know, Justin has already
- 1:19:10Speaker 3: picked the UK, so that means UK is going to lose.
- 1:19:13Speaker 3: I mean, for what it's worth, I did pick Louisville
- 1:19:16Speaker 3: on my show, but you did, but that was before
- 1:19:19Speaker 3: you knew all the information though, yes, and that that
- 1:19:21Speaker 3: definitely changes my mindset. Yeah, okay, well crap this. I'm
- 1:19:26Speaker 3: really disappointed now because I don't want to come in
- 1:19:29Speaker 3: tomorrow knowing the fact that uh, La Amelia, I'm already
- 1:19:34Speaker 3: screwing up the name La Familia is going to lose.
- 1:19:37Speaker 2: So okay, well, shoot, well hopefully they won't.
- 1:19:41Speaker 3: I still get to keep doing this, though, if they're
- 1:19:43Speaker 3: going to continue to do this, if they do lose
- 1:19:45Speaker 3: tonight tonight, and they're going to continue this tournament, they
- 1:19:49Speaker 3: got to change the name. Okay, I've said it three
- 1:19:51Speaker 3: days in a row. Let's let's move on from laf Amelia.
- 1:19:55Speaker 3: Let's come up with something more original, something more up
- 1:19:58Speaker 3: to date, and who knows, Sometimes when you have you know,
- 1:20:01Speaker 3: just like these teams that change their uniforms, like for instance,
- 1:20:05Speaker 3: when the Cincinnati Bengals did a whole redo of their
- 1:20:09Speaker 3: unis and added the stripes on the helmets. That's when
- 1:20:12Speaker 3: they went to the Super Bowl for the first time.
- 1:20:15Speaker 2: They're white jerseys of that is so cool.
- 1:20:18Speaker 3: I love them, Yeah, I do. I love what the
- 1:20:22Speaker 3: Bengals have done.
- 1:20:22Speaker 2: The Jets are. They're debuting a white uniform this year.
- 1:20:27Speaker 2: White top, white pants, white helmet. Interesting.
- 1:20:31Speaker 3: I'm surprised there hasn't been an NFL team that will
- 1:20:34Speaker 3: come out with a chrome helmet.
- 1:20:36Speaker 2: Yeah, me too. Actually, you see it a lot in college.
- 1:20:38Speaker 3: I think UK has the best, and I know I'm biased,
- 1:20:42Speaker 3: but hands down, I think they have the best look
- 1:20:46Speaker 3: in uniform. When they go all royal with the chrome helmets,
- 1:20:50Speaker 3: that is so cool that that, to me is an
- 1:20:53Speaker 3: electric night. I hope when UK plays Alabama that's what
- 1:20:57Speaker 3: they go with. Do you think the coaches look at
- 1:20:59Speaker 3: the stats and say, okay, show me the winning stats
- 1:21:02Speaker 3: for every uniform combination. No, you don't think so. I
- 1:21:06Speaker 3: would I put the numbers down because I think sometimes
- 1:21:10Speaker 3: mentally you feel different, Like I feel different when I'm
- 1:21:14Speaker 3: in a coat and top. I feel more confident when
- 1:21:17Speaker 3: I'm in a do you really No, I feel like
- 1:21:21Speaker 3: I'm ready for business.
- 1:21:22Speaker 2: I'm ready for success when I'm in it.
- 1:21:24Speaker 3: And that's just me, and I'm not saying that for you,
- 1:21:27Speaker 3: but mentally for me, that helps me. And I think
- 1:21:30Speaker 3: I would believe that wearing a certain uniform style would
- 1:21:35Speaker 3: be the same way for a particular team.
- 1:21:37Speaker 2: And you don't agree with that. I'm sure there's maybe
- 1:21:40Speaker 2: one coach on the staff that is doing that sort
- 1:21:43Speaker 2: of thing, but I bet they don't go back and
- 1:21:45Speaker 2: reference it. Yeah, okay, maybe they do. I don't know.
- 1:21:49Speaker 2: There's there's weird people out there. I'm a geek for numbers,
- 1:21:51Speaker 2: so that that sounds like something I would do.
- 1:21:54Speaker 3: Yeah, but who knows. Okay, all right, then, well, uh
- 1:21:58Speaker 3: I gotta take off. Justin is gonna take over for
- 1:22:02Speaker 3: me for the last segment, but uh, I'll be back
- 1:22:04Speaker 3: tomorrow and we'll talk about there is a complete mess
- 1:22:07Speaker 3: in this freaking desk. I don't know what's going on
- 1:22:10Speaker 3: in here, but my eight peanuts is what they did?
- 1:22:13Speaker 2: Oh my gosh. Oh yeah, oh you know what. I
- 1:22:15Speaker 2: bet it was lunchtime yesterday.
- 1:22:17Speaker 3: Oh it must be nice to get lunch. How about
- 1:22:19Speaker 3: breakfast time someday? How about somebody bring in some breakfast.
- 1:22:22Speaker 2: That'd be cool.
- 1:22:23Speaker 3: The radio station we got donuts one time. I don't
- 1:22:26Speaker 3: know if Jamie did a phenomenal job, and I appreciate that.
- 1:22:29Speaker 3: All right, Uh, we'll talk about the TVT tomorrow. But
- 1:22:32Speaker 3: Justin's gonna take over the last segment for me. But
- 1:22:34Speaker 3: so so stay right there, don't go away. Send your
- 1:22:36Speaker 3: text in exactly five oh two four one four fourteen fifty.
- 1:22:40Speaker 3: Everybody have a great day. One more segment of just
- 1:22:42Speaker 3: Cat's coming right up.
- 1:22:43Speaker 4: A lot of pop La pigasuit God and Miss Molly
- 1:22:48Speaker 4: was even there too, with a stress splash. I forgot
- 1:22:51Speaker 4: about the bell I went and putting my dancing shoes
- 1:22:54Speaker 4: on day.
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: And.
- 1:23:01Speaker 4: That she was just walking down the street singing.
- 1:23:06Speaker 2: Spot.
- 1:23:09Speaker 4: Stopping things and.
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: Shoveling of singing.
- 1:23:16Speaker 4: You look good, she looked five, You look good, you
- 1:23:21Speaker 4: look fine, and I love all right.
- 1:23:25Speaker 2: Final segment here on your Wednesday, Just the Cats here
- 1:23:29Speaker 2: Big X Sports Radio. You want to be a part
- 1:23:31Speaker 2: of the conversation, text me at five O two four
- 1:23:35Speaker 2: one four fourteen fifty. That's the Whiskey Thief text line,
- 1:23:38Speaker 2: or you can give me a call at five O
- 1:23:40Speaker 2: two three eight four fourteen fifty. I'll do my best
- 1:23:43Speaker 2: to try to answer that. If anyone does call here
- 1:23:46Speaker 2: in this final segment, but Michael gone for the day,
- 1:23:49Speaker 2: has to go down to Churchill Horses going through gate training.
- 1:23:53Speaker 2: I don't remember what he called it, but basically learning
- 1:23:55Speaker 2: how to get into a starting gate. So then in
- 1:23:59Speaker 2: the future it can be clear to start racing, which
- 1:24:01Speaker 2: is really exciting. That means we can start to gamble
- 1:24:04Speaker 2: on Michael's horses. I know he doesn't want us to,
- 1:24:06Speaker 2: but yeah, looking forward to that. Looking forward to that.
- 1:24:09Speaker 2: But welcome back in. We are gonna head over to
- 1:24:11Speaker 2: the Whiskey Thief text line. Michael was nice enough to
- 1:24:14Speaker 2: save those for me, so I'll read those here and
- 1:24:16Speaker 2: then I've got a wild story in regards to Spain
- 1:24:20Speaker 2: winning the World Cup. It's not soccer related, but it
- 1:24:24Speaker 2: has to do with their prize that they got when
- 1:24:26Speaker 2: they got back to Spain. Had no idea this was
- 1:24:29Speaker 2: the thing. So we'll discuss that here coming up as well.
- 1:24:31Speaker 2: But for now here on the text line, we get
- 1:24:34Speaker 2: a text from Illinois Texter says, was kind of hoping
- 1:24:37Speaker 2: you would give me praise for talking about sports for once.
- 1:24:40Speaker 2: While I am a decent sports guy, it's hard for
- 1:24:42Speaker 2: me to get into uk U of L or IU.
- 1:24:45Speaker 2: I'm trying my best, though I have gotten into U
- 1:24:47Speaker 2: OFL baseball quite a bit, although this was a down
- 1:24:50Speaker 2: year for them. Yeah, not probably not the best year
- 1:24:54Speaker 2: to get to get into Louisville baseball. They were it
- 1:24:58Speaker 2: was tough. That was tough to watch j I didn't realize.
- 1:25:02Speaker 2: I went back Illinois Texter and looked at at previous text.
- 1:25:07Speaker 2: You're right, you really do not bring up sports all
- 1:25:10Speaker 2: that often on the text line, but we appreciate you
- 1:25:13Speaker 2: being a part of the show either way, and thanks
- 1:25:16Speaker 2: for texting us this morning. Another TEXTA says, let me see,
- 1:25:21Speaker 2: I make sure I got the right one. Here says
- 1:25:24Speaker 2: Jeff already turned down Tennessee while at Purdue. See, I
- 1:25:29Speaker 2: didn't realize that. I had no idea that Jeff was
- 1:25:32Speaker 2: even offered the Tennessee job. But I'm with you, And again,
- 1:25:37Speaker 2: I know Michael's got a little inside trader thing going on,
- 1:25:39Speaker 2: but I don't. I just don't see Jeff leaving for Tennessee.
- 1:25:44Speaker 2: I really don't. And the next text backs that up
- 1:25:47Speaker 2: says Jeff will only leave for Notre Dame or the NFL.
- 1:25:50Speaker 2: And that's exactly how I feel. That's exactly how I
- 1:25:54Speaker 2: feel he's come out and said publicly how he feels
- 1:25:58Speaker 2: about Notre Dame. But then you get the news yesterday
- 1:26:01Speaker 2: from Marcus Freeman, the current head coach at Notre Dame,
- 1:26:05Speaker 2: and he basically comes out and he says, I'm all in.
- 1:26:08Speaker 2: I can't cannot imagine myself coaching anywhere else. So if
- 1:26:13Speaker 2: that's the case, Jeff Brom's never going to get an
- 1:26:15Speaker 2: opportunity at Notre Dame because Marcus Freeman was he mid thirties,
- 1:26:20Speaker 2: maybe early forties, the young guy, Marcus Freeman's gonna be
- 1:26:24Speaker 2: there for a really, really long time if what he
- 1:26:27Speaker 2: said yesterday is true. And of course, on top of that,
- 1:26:30Speaker 2: you've got to win games that if you don't win games,
- 1:26:34Speaker 2: that could maybe maybe you get kicked out or you
- 1:26:37Speaker 2: get fired, and even though you do want to coach
- 1:26:39Speaker 2: there for the rest of your life. But my point is,
- 1:26:41Speaker 2: I don't think Brom will ever get an opportunity at
- 1:26:44Speaker 2: Notre Dame, and I don't think at this juncture he
- 1:26:48Speaker 2: would go to the NFL. I feel like Jeff Brom's
- 1:26:51Speaker 2: pretty damn happy here at Louisville, but I could be wrong.
- 1:26:56Speaker 2: I don't have any inside information to back that up next,
- 1:27:01Speaker 2: Texter says, also agree on Steve Sarkisian is indeed on
- 1:27:04Speaker 2: the hot seat. They fired a national championship coach. Being
- 1:27:08Speaker 2: good isn't their standard. Texas fans are getting tired of him. Okay,
- 1:27:13Speaker 2: I can get behind that. Like I said, I personally
- 1:27:17Speaker 2: don't think Sarkisian's on the hot seat. But then you
- 1:27:20Speaker 2: start thinking about everything that's tied to this upcoming season.
- 1:27:24Speaker 2: They've got a lot of hype coming into this year,
- 1:27:27Speaker 2: the whole arch manning thing. Apparently he's taking a large
- 1:27:31Speaker 2: step forward. A lot of people are hopeful for Texas
- 1:27:34Speaker 2: football this year. And you're right, that's not the type
- 1:27:38Speaker 2: of place where we got into the playoffs. No, if
- 1:27:43Speaker 2: you get into the playoffs, you've got to do something.
- 1:27:47Speaker 2: You've got to make a nice little run if you're Texas.
- 1:27:49Speaker 2: So I'm gonna back up my take. I'm gonna side
- 1:27:54Speaker 2: with you here, Texter, get on your side a little
- 1:27:57Speaker 2: bit that maybe Sarkisian is indeed on the hot seat.
- 1:28:02Speaker 2: I'll say, luke warm seat for now, but has potential
- 1:28:05Speaker 2: to get really hot, really quick. Texas says me. Here
- 1:28:14Speaker 2: we go, yo, Fellas. First off, why are y'all always
- 1:28:18Speaker 2: hating on the game Cocks they keep whipping UK. Also, also,
- 1:28:22Speaker 2: if it's so easy to win games in the ACC,
- 1:28:25Speaker 2: why does Cardinals keep putting up forty plus points in
- 1:28:28Speaker 2: routing Kentucky. You bring up some good points there. I
- 1:28:32Speaker 2: wish Michael was here to to defend himself a little
- 1:28:35Speaker 2: bit and have an answer for this. Michael just doesn't
- 1:28:38Speaker 2: like the game Cox, doesn't like South Carolina, doesn't like
- 1:28:42Speaker 2: Shane Beemer. There's a lot of things that are a
- 1:28:46Speaker 2: lot of what's the way I'm trying to say this,
- 1:28:49Speaker 2: there's a few things that Michael just doesn't much care for,
- 1:28:51Speaker 2: and South Carolina and Shane Beemer is right up there
- 1:28:54Speaker 2: at the top of that list. So that's why you
- 1:28:57Speaker 2: get the hate on South Carolina has too the ACC
- 1:29:02Speaker 2: easy to win games. I mean, Kentucky the last two
- 1:29:06Speaker 2: years just has not been good. In that Louisville game,
- 1:29:09Speaker 2: there's no way to sugarcoat that at all. It's been
- 1:29:11Speaker 2: pretty atrocious. Texas says, why do all the Kentucky fans
- 1:29:17Speaker 2: keep whining about the schedule? I wish Louisville was playing
- 1:29:20Speaker 2: against that many ranked teams. Your fans need to grow
- 1:29:23Speaker 2: a pair and lace up the cleats good grief. See
- 1:29:26Speaker 2: that's the thing text or there's two different mindsets with this.
- 1:29:29Speaker 2: You've got the people that they're okay with a lighter
- 1:29:33Speaker 2: schedule because it means you're winning more games, and then
- 1:29:36Speaker 2: there's people like you that they would find it fun
- 1:29:39Speaker 2: to play a daunting schedule like Kentucky is going to
- 1:29:42Speaker 2: have to this year. I don't know that whining about
- 1:29:47Speaker 2: it is the right word. I mean, I think Kentucky
- 1:29:50Speaker 2: fans and the coaching and players all that it is
- 1:29:55Speaker 2: what it is. They know that there's nothing they can
- 1:29:57Speaker 2: do to change the schedule. You've got on your schedule,
- 1:30:01Speaker 2: and what you've got in front of you is what
- 1:30:03Speaker 2: you got in front of you and on the schedule,
- 1:30:05Speaker 2: so there's nothing you can do about it. Just got
- 1:30:07Speaker 2: to go out and play the games. But I think
- 1:30:09Speaker 2: if you were to look at their schedule, if you
- 1:30:11Speaker 2: haven't already, it is brutal. I'll be the first to
- 1:30:15Speaker 2: tell you, like I said to Michael earlier, maybe one
- 1:30:17Speaker 2: of the hardest schedules I've ever seen in college football.
- 1:30:20Speaker 2: Pretty nuts. John text In says John here Hey justin.
- 1:30:26Speaker 2: Michael said that one day SEC and the Big Ten
- 1:30:28Speaker 2: would leave the NC DOUBLEA. What do you really think
- 1:30:31Speaker 2: about that? If it did happen, what would it look like?
- 1:30:34Speaker 2: In your opinion? How soon would it happen if it
- 1:30:36Speaker 2: was going to We'll got to go talk to you later, John,
- 1:30:39Speaker 2: I don't think it's going to happen soon at all. Now.
- 1:30:43Speaker 2: You do keep getting all this talk from the SEC,
- 1:30:47Speaker 2: and but that's all it is to me. It's all
- 1:30:49Speaker 2: just talk. There's not gonna be any action in regards
- 1:30:53Speaker 2: to the SEC leaving NC double A. Does it happen eventually,
- 1:30:57Speaker 2: I would It's hard to predict the future, but I
- 1:31:01Speaker 2: wouldn't be surprised. I do think if if one leaves,
- 1:31:05Speaker 2: they both leave. I think that the Big ten and
- 1:31:07Speaker 2: the SEC would be would be in lockstep if a
- 1:31:13Speaker 2: move were to happen. But I don't think. I don't know,
- 1:31:16Speaker 2: maybe ten fifteen years. Like I said earlier, if you
- 1:31:21Speaker 2: if you give me a timeline of ten years, i'd
- 1:31:23Speaker 2: put it at like eight to ten percent that one
- 1:31:26Speaker 2: of those is leaving the NC DOUBLEA by that point.
- 1:31:30Speaker 2: It's hard to figure out a lot of the stuff
- 1:31:32Speaker 2: with the NC double A and with the way the
- 1:31:34Speaker 2: college athletics is now, it's just it's hard to figure out.
- 1:31:38Speaker 2: I hate it. I freaking hate it. Uh. Patrick Murphy
- 1:31:42Speaker 2: text in says, good to hear about Michael and his horse.
- 1:31:44Speaker 2: Hopefully one day they get to be in the Derby.
- 1:31:47Speaker 2: I know that he would love nothing more. I know
- 1:31:51Speaker 2: that he would absolutely love to have a Derby horse.
- 1:31:55Speaker 2: Now I don't know that it's specifically got to be
- 1:31:58Speaker 2: the Derby. I mean, if he had a horse in
- 1:32:01Speaker 2: the Preakness, I don't think he would complain about that,
- 1:32:04Speaker 2: or a horse in the Belmont. He's not going to
- 1:32:06Speaker 2: be complaining about that. But yeah, something about growing up
- 1:32:09Speaker 2: here in Louisville and then now getting an opportunity to
- 1:32:12Speaker 2: be in the horse game having a Derby horse could
- 1:32:16Speaker 2: be That could be really awesome. Dexter says, thank you
- 1:32:20Speaker 2: Scoots for holding it down on your own this last segment.
- 1:32:23Speaker 2: So glad you were back on the station. Yep, I
- 1:32:26Speaker 2: appreciate the kind words there. It's been been nice being back.
- 1:32:29Speaker 2: What is this week three? I want to say, hard
- 1:32:32Speaker 2: to believe that it's already the third week of being back,
- 1:32:35Speaker 2: but yeah, it's been fun. I love being here each
- 1:32:37Speaker 2: and every morning, and a large part of that is
- 1:32:39Speaker 2: because you all on the text line. You all do
- 1:32:42Speaker 2: a tremendous job. You keep interacting with all the shows
- 1:32:46Speaker 2: here on Big X. It's just been a lot of
- 1:32:48Speaker 2: fun being back, and I'm glad I'm back as well.
- 1:32:52Speaker 2: All Right, before ever we get out of here, I
- 1:32:54Speaker 2: do want to talk about what this Spain team was
- 1:32:58Speaker 2: gifted when they arrived back in their country. So back
- 1:33:03Speaker 2: in twenty ten when they won their first ever World Cup,
- 1:33:08Speaker 2: they get back to Spain and Jesu's novice, who was
- 1:33:12Speaker 2: part of that first Spain team to win the World Cup,
- 1:33:15Speaker 2: he was presented with tomatoes corresponding to his body weight.
- 1:33:23Speaker 2: You heard that right, When he got back to Spain,
- 1:33:27Speaker 2: he was gifted his body weight in tomatoes. Now he
- 1:33:32Speaker 2: had the same thing with two guys from this year's team.
- 1:33:36Speaker 2: You have see if they can get their names here,
- 1:33:40Speaker 2: Babby and Ruiz and Govi. Both of those two when
- 1:33:44Speaker 2: they got back to Spain were gifted their weight in tomatoes.
- 1:33:48Speaker 2: So Ruiz he checks in at one hundred and eighty
- 1:33:50Speaker 2: five pounds, it's a lot of tomatoes to be given somebody.
- 1:33:54Speaker 2: And then gove he's one hundred and fifty, So Govey
- 1:33:57Speaker 2: gets one hundred and fifty pounds of tomatoes while Ruiz
- 1:34:00Speaker 2: gets one hundred and eighty five pounds of tomatoes. That
- 1:34:03Speaker 2: is nuts. I can't think of anything that I would
- 1:34:06Speaker 2: want less for a prize for winning the World Cup
- 1:34:09Speaker 2: than than tomatoes. And I'm sure there's a deeper story
- 1:34:14Speaker 2: behind this and why this is and then the tradition
- 1:34:16Speaker 2: became what it is, But I have no idea. I
- 1:34:20Speaker 2: have no idea. I just I saw that headline this
- 1:34:22Speaker 2: morning and I was like, really, out of everything, you
- 1:34:25Speaker 2: could have given me tomatoes. Eh, I'm good on that.
- 1:34:30Speaker 2: I'm good on that. All right, that's gonna wrap it
- 1:34:33Speaker 2: up for today, Just the Cats. We'll be back with
- 1:34:36Speaker 2: you tomorrow from eight to ten. We'll recap the TBT.
- 1:34:40Speaker 2: Have fun watching it tonight six o'clock on Fox. Whoever
- 1:34:44Speaker 2: you're rooting for, just try to enjoy it. But I
- 1:34:46Speaker 2: am with the news of Archie good one. I'm going
- 1:34:49Speaker 2: with La Familia tonight to get it done. So either way,
- 1:34:52Speaker 2: we'll break it all down tomorrow on Just the Cats.
- 1:34:54Speaker 2: Appreciate you being along for the ride this morning. Have
- 1:34:57Speaker 2: a great Wednesday.
- 1:35:01Speaker 4: Yes I did, and so I thought all the things
- 1:35:04Speaker 4: I've been dreaming. Now we're to care after every single day,
- 1:35:09Speaker 4: single
