SPEAKER_00: It is not.
0:33
SPEAKER_01: It's a different spelling.
0:35
SPEAKER_03: So it's not Stevie Nex.
0:36
SPEAKER_03: It's not Stevie Nex.
0:37
SPEAKER_03: It's Eric Church.
0:38
SPEAKER_03: I do like this.
0:39
SPEAKER_03: I like Eric Church.
0:40
SPEAKER_03: Oh, well.
0:42
SPEAKER_03: It was a bad throw.
0:43
SPEAKER_03: It was not your fault, Steve.
0:46
SPEAKER_03: I knew it as soon as I did it.
0:47
SPEAKER_03: It was a bad throw.
0:49
SPEAKER_03: I kind of limp, I kind of limp wristed it.
0:51
SPEAKER_03: Gypsy Explorer.
0:54
SPEAKER_00: Explorer series.
0:56
SPEAKER_02: Church spells it in his song?
0:58
SPEAKER_02: Gypsy?
1:01
SPEAKER_02: I don't know why he did that spelling.
1:02
SPEAKER_00: There's a lot of stuff on the back of that, too.
1:04
SPEAKER_00: Like good informational stuff.
1:06
SPEAKER_00: Sorry, Gypsy's in a song?
1:08
SPEAKER_00: Have we talked about this before?
1:09
SPEAKER_00: Eric Church or a new song.
1:11
SPEAKER_00: Did Herm talk about this?
1:12
SPEAKER_00: Because you were talking about the Wanderer.
1:14
SPEAKER_00: No, what it wasn't a Wanderer.
1:16
SPEAKER_00: What did you call it?
1:17
SPEAKER_01: We were talking about we were talking about a uh It was Herm was on.
1:21
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it was Herm.
1:22
SPEAKER_00: But what what did you call it?
1:25
SPEAKER_01: Colder Weather.
1:25
SPEAKER_01: The song colder weather.
1:27
SPEAKER_01: And he does say JC in that song.
1:28
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but it was something you were trying to describe a guy or like a it wasn't a Ramblin' man.
1:33
SPEAKER_00: It was uh Yeah.
1:34
SPEAKER_00: No, it was something.
1:35
SPEAKER_03: I don't think it was it.
1:36
SPEAKER_03: Was it Ramblin' or it was a Rambler?
1:37
SPEAKER_00: You were like, oh it's a Rambler.
1:38
SPEAKER_00: We were like, what the heck is a Rambler?
1:40
SPEAKER_00: Oh, maybe it was a Rambler.
1:41
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
1:41
SPEAKER_03: And you had to explain.
1:42
SPEAKER_03: Aroused about it.
1:43
SPEAKER_03: Roused about that's what it was.
1:44
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
1:44
SPEAKER_03: Aroused about.
1:46
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
1:46
SPEAKER_03: Elvis Presley did a movie in a song called Aroused About.
1:50
SPEAKER_03: But Gypsy, I keep thinking of Stevie Nicks.
1:53
SPEAKER_03: That's why I keep singing that song.
1:54
SPEAKER_03: But this one's spelt different.
1:55
SPEAKER_03: But I kind of like the way this one's spelt better.
1:58
SPEAKER_03: Gypsy with a J.
1:59
SPEAKER_03: Hipsy?
2:00
SPEAKER_03: I kind of want the bottle back to look at the back.
2:02
SPEAKER_03: Driven by discovery.
2:04
SPEAKER_03: Unbound by convention.
2:05
SPEAKER_03: Oh man.
2:06
SPEAKER_03: Did you bite yourself there?
2:07
SPEAKER_03: I did on the cork, which is kind of robust.
2:11
SPEAKER_03: There's a little gypsy in all of us.
2:14
SPEAKER_03: Is that part of the song?
2:16
SPEAKER_03: What it says says it on the cork.
2:17
SPEAKER_03: Oh, on the cork.
2:18
SPEAKER_03: The cork that just bit my thumb.
2:20
SPEAKER_00: Oh, it's written around the side of it.
2:22
SPEAKER_03: You see that?
2:23
SPEAKER_00: I mean, it really kind of gave me a little bit of a might want to grow up a little and stop being a baby.
2:28
SPEAKER_01: A high this is a higher eye.
2:30
SPEAKER_01: It is a higher eye.
2:32
SPEAKER_01: With some specialty aging barrels on the front there.
2:36
SPEAKER_01: What are the barrels on it?
2:38
SPEAKER_00: It is finished with French and App is it Appalachian?
2:43
SPEAKER_00: Appalachian.
2:44
SPEAKER_00: Appalachian?
2:45
SPEAKER_00: Appalachian.
2:46
SPEAKER_03: Appalachian oak staves.
2:47
SPEAKER_03: I love how they went French, which is kind of like sophisticated, and then Appalachian, which is definitely not sophisticated.
2:55
SPEAKER_00: But they even go down to say where the French oak is from.
2:59
SPEAKER_00: Yes.
3:00
SPEAKER_00: The the Trotroncaus forest?
3:04
SPEAKER_00: Tobacco's good.
3:05
SPEAKER_00: What do you uh what do you got?
3:06
SPEAKER_00: Trying to light it up here.
3:07
SPEAKER_03: I feel like that's a wasted space right there.
3:09
SPEAKER_03: I almost just burned myself with the match.
3:11
SPEAKER_01: Uh we're smoking uh the Artisan blend.
3:14
SPEAKER_01: Artisan's.
3:15
SPEAKER_01: Artisan's blend from Ashton.
3:16
SPEAKER_01: Full by an English mixture is carefully crafted by for the experienced pipe smoker.
3:21
SPEAKER_01: Virginia and Turkish tobaccos harmonized with Syrian Latichea and a touch of Purik.
3:26
SPEAKER_01: Syrian Latichia.
3:28
SPEAKER_03: Which they don't make anymore.
3:29
SPEAKER_03: They do not.
3:30
SPEAKER_03: And this tin rich spicy and size got around nine years on it.
3:34
SPEAKER_01: Okay.
3:34
SPEAKER_03: Which is why it's so brown in there.
3:37
SPEAKER_03: Uh brown in a good way.
3:38
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, they don't make Syrian to uh Syrian uh Latichea is extinct.
3:42
SPEAKER_03: It's no more, it is extinct.
3:44
SPEAKER_03: And I just remembered why it's so effing good.
3:47
SPEAKER_03: So they still make that artisan's one, but they don't make it with Syrian anymore.
3:51
SPEAKER_03: I'm pretty sure they still make it.
3:52
SPEAKER_03: Or is it just Connoisseur's choice?
3:53
SPEAKER_03: I can't remember.
3:54
SPEAKER_03: I think they still make this.
3:56
SPEAKER_03: It's very similar to Nightcap, but with better components.
4:00
SPEAKER_03: And with the age, it's it's pretty um what's the word?
4:04
SPEAKER_03: It's very creamy.
4:06
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it's really good.
4:07
SPEAKER_03: I haven't had anything else.
4:10
SPEAKER_03: It's good.
4:11
SPEAKER_03: You're gonna you're gonna like it.
4:12
SPEAKER_03: Herm would love this.
4:13
SPEAKER_03: Oh yeah.
4:14
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
4:15
SPEAKER_03: And Ryan would like it too.
4:16
SPEAKER_03: I mean, it's in English.
4:17
SPEAKER_01: So are you guys Eric Church fans?
4:19
SPEAKER_00: I am.
4:19
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
4:20
SPEAKER_00: I don't really know who Eric.
4:22
SPEAKER_00: I mean, I know the name maybe, but I don't know where a country singer.
4:25
SPEAKER_01: He has a country singer.
4:26
SPEAKER_03: That's his biggest song is Springsteen.
4:28
SPEAKER_01: Spring, probably.
4:30
SPEAKER_01: Eric Church came out in like 2009, 10, right around there, like kind of early 2000s-ish, 2010s.
4:37
SPEAKER_01: Caroline was his first song.
4:39
SPEAKER_01: Carolina.
4:40
SPEAKER_01: What was it?
4:40
SPEAKER_01: What like his first hit or whatever?
4:42
SPEAKER_01: Sweet Caroline.
4:43
SPEAKER_01: You'd know it.
4:44
SPEAKER_01: It's not Sweet Caroline.
4:46
SPEAKER_01: If you heard you would probably know it.
4:48
SPEAKER_01: He does.
4:49
SPEAKER_01: He's having a bit of a viral moment right now.
4:51
SPEAKER_01: He just did a just did a commencement speech for University of North Carolina for their graduation.
4:58
SPEAKER_01: So that that's kind of going around right now for his conventions, commencement speech.
5:02
SPEAKER_01: He's he's doing it with a guitar and kind of comparing the strings on a guitar to life.
5:08
SPEAKER_01: It was a very good speech.
5:09
SPEAKER_01: I highly recommend.
5:10
SPEAKER_01: But yeah, it's it's a it's a really good one.
5:12
SPEAKER_01: And he graduated from the University of North Carolina.
5:14
SPEAKER_01: He's got an interesting uh writing style.
5:17
SPEAKER_01: He does.
5:17
SPEAKER_01: He he does a lot of songwriting, so a lot of his music is his his writing.
5:21
SPEAKER_01: And the brand for this uh is the outsiders spirits.
5:26
SPEAKER_00: Sorry, that's the brand.
5:27
SPEAKER_00: Oh my god.
5:28
SPEAKER_00: I thought Gypsy was the brand.
5:29
SPEAKER_01: Outsider Spirits is the the the distillery or the the the main company is Outsider Spirits.
5:36
SPEAKER_01: Um Eric Church was pretty commercial when he started out and was doing his thing.
5:42
SPEAKER_01: He then came out with an album called The Outsiders.
5:45
SPEAKER_01: And that album he switched up his style quite a bit.
5:49
SPEAKER_01: He went much darker, more rock, more indie rock, kind of kind of weird, kind of off the wall.
5:56
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, he kind of went uh went a little bit different than traditional country is, and uh he did it for his the people that kind of he got his start with when he was playing in in bars and stuff, and he's kept that ever since.
6:10
SPEAKER_01: He always has aviator sunglasses on anytime you ever see him.
6:14
SPEAKER_01: He's usually in darker clothes and stuff, kind of grungy, grungy country.
6:20
SPEAKER_01: Um, I am a huge fan of his writing style.
6:23
SPEAKER_01: I really like Eric Church in terms of like country artists that are known and on the radio, and everyone knows who they are, kind of thing.
6:31
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, he's one of the few of them that I really want to see live that I've never seen.
6:35
SPEAKER_01: Okay, he comes here all the time.
6:37
SPEAKER_01: He does, he comes here a lot, and there are times on his stage where there are 30 people on stage.
6:42
SPEAKER_01: He he has like a big band on stage with him part of the time, like trumpets and horns and everything stuff.
6:48
SPEAKER_01: Let's go.
6:49
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, absolutely.
6:50
SPEAKER_01: I like church.
6:51
SPEAKER_01: Um, so I've always been a big fan of him, and he's always been a little bit uh on the outside.
6:56
SPEAKER_01: He's he has not gone with traditional country in that way.
7:01
SPEAKER_01: Um, and since he writes his own, uh, which is another kind of unique thing about him for and he's not afraid to talk about drug use and things like that in his songs.
7:10
SPEAKER_01: He has a pretty awesome song called Lightning, uh, which is a uh narrative of somebody on death row going to get going to the electric chair.
7:18
SPEAKER_01: It's a pretty awesome song.
7:22
SPEAKER_01: Um, and yeah, he's some drug use and that kind of stuff on there too.
7:25
SPEAKER_01: But yeah, he's he's he's really good and his his music has uh, like I say, he's a good writer in that in that way.
7:32
SPEAKER_01: Um, but this is his brand.
7:34
SPEAKER_01: So he met a guy named uh uh Raj.
7:37
SPEAKER_01: Raj Alva.
7:38
SPEAKER_01: Raj, Raj Al Ghul.
7:40
SPEAKER_01: That's what I already said, who is more of your business guy.
7:44
SPEAKER_01: So the two of them met on a golf course and stuff, they connected over whiskey.
7:47
SPEAKER_01: Go figure have a golf course, right?
7:49
SPEAKER_01: And they got together and decided to to do this thing.
7:52
SPEAKER_01: And they went with a guy named uh Ari Sussman as their kind of blender.
7:56
SPEAKER_01: But Eric has a has a distinct part in this.
7:59
SPEAKER_01: He's he is kind of a you know, he samples it and does he's involved, so it's not just like a celebrity brand where he just kind of sits around and does nothing with it and he just kind of sells a brand.
8:09
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so he does does stuff with it, and they had three releases, uh, three types of of stuff.
8:15
SPEAKER_01: They're all gypsy, but this is the explorer, and there's also the legacy series and the international blends.
8:25
SPEAKER_01: So the three of them, the legacy series is more age, so you're going more your traditional kind of those are really hard to get, they're the really expensive, fancy stuff.
8:35
SPEAKER_01: Explorer is all about the grain, uh, the the um wood, it's all the oaks, the finishes, and drying stuff like that.
8:43
SPEAKER_01: This is the first iteration of this bottle.
8:45
SPEAKER_01: There will be more as time goes on, they'll switch up that finishing.
8:49
SPEAKER_01: Um, and then the uh the other one is uh more around grains and switching up the grains.
8:57
SPEAKER_01: When when did he start releasing this?
9:00
SPEAKER_01: 2023 is when they found it in.
9:02
SPEAKER_01: Oh, so yeah, really recent.
9:04
SPEAKER_01: Yes, really recent.
9:05
SPEAKER_01: And they they source everything, so they didn't have to wait around for it or anything.
9:08
SPEAKER_00: Well, I saw the back, it was Kentucky and Indiana blend, but blended, finished, and bottled in Kentucky or in uh Tennessee.
9:17
SPEAKER_03: You said it is sourced, yes.
9:20
SPEAKER_03: Do we know from where?
9:20
SPEAKER_00: We do not Indiana and I'm guessing MGP and Bardstown.
9:24
SPEAKER_03: Finished in Tennessee.
9:25
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so I'm guessing MGP and probably Bardstown.
9:28
SPEAKER_03: Well, I'm not getting MGP, but but what's interesting is have you guys tried it yet?
9:33
SPEAKER_00: Uh yeah, I have tried it and I need another sip because I'm not sure what happened.
9:38
SPEAKER_00: It's really good, it is, but I don't really know what's different.
9:41
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it's really kind of different, and I'm uh that's why I'm surprised it's sourced because it's so kind of off the wall a little bit.
9:50
SPEAKER_01: And I don't know if it's the finishings.
9:51
SPEAKER_01: I mean, they're the the finishings are unique, but I wouldn't think all that like special.
9:58
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, uh like it's it's it's French oak.
10:01
SPEAKER_01: We that's pretty common.
10:02
SPEAKER_01: It's from a special area or whatever, but it's French oak.
10:05
SPEAKER_01: We know that we've had that, and then there's Appalachian oak, yeah, and that's something that's we've not seen that, but I wouldn't imagine it would be all that special in terms of flavor added.
10:16
SPEAKER_03: It's a weird wood thing, and it's right after the initial like shock of it, it settles in your mouth and just kind of like coats it and then it leaves it like with this really interesting aftertaste, and I I like it.
10:29
SPEAKER_03: Reminds me kind of like a cream soda kind of uh aftertaste.
10:33
SPEAKER_00: So I've never been a fan of French oak.
10:36
SPEAKER_00: It's normally too like cinnamony like sweet for me.
10:42
SPEAKER_00: Um but this has like that that flavor you're talking about is like it's like the root beer kind of uh but then it's creamy on top of it.
10:53
SPEAKER_00: Like so the only way you can describe it is if you you guys have ever gone hiking in any kind of mountains around the woods, and there's some water on you.
11:04
SPEAKER_00: You have that like wet wood, but like that natural big forest wet wood flavor.
11:10
SPEAKER_00: Like the mossiness, not mossy, it's like it's it's like a log that was has been sitting in the water for a while.
11:16
SPEAKER_00: It's not mossy, but it's like a damp, wet kind of wood, you know, like I don't know how to describe that.
11:24
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, probably water logs, like kind of like water logs, like the like smell of that everything going on there.
11:32
SPEAKER_00: It's not real, it's not mossy, but it's less like woodsy kind of thing.
11:36
SPEAKER_00: But it's it's almost like a faint but fresh, like fresh water woody kind of feel.
11:42
SPEAKER_00: It's very different.
11:43
SPEAKER_00: Okay, I like it, yeah.
11:44
SPEAKER_03: But that's what it reminds me of, is that like I get what you're saying.
11:47
SPEAKER_03: See, for me, it's more bark, like bark, like sass like sassafras.
11:51
SPEAKER_03: You read sassafras tea.
11:53
SPEAKER_03: That I think that's why it reminds me of root beer a little bit, but it's creamier.
11:56
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I get like a root beer sort of thing out of it.
11:59
SPEAKER_03: But like that, I don't get that on the initial, it's like after it settles in your mouth, is when I get it.
12:04
SPEAKER_03: And then really on the aftertaste.
12:05
SPEAKER_03: That's where I get it's it's more sassperil, like more sassafras, so it's spicier than root beer.
12:11
SPEAKER_03: If that makes sense.
12:12
SPEAKER_01: I don't know if it's just a conversation between the two things that you guys just said, but the image that I just got in my head uh while drinking this was the Oak Ridge Festival, and it's a festival that happened up in northern Ohio, it is no more anymore.
12:28
SPEAKER_01: But what it was it was one of those uh like uh like a like a craft fair or whatever else, but in the woods.
12:36
SPEAKER_01: So that's interesting.
12:38
SPEAKER_01: So you park in like a field and you go in, there's this track full, and there's lots of people selling stuff in there.
12:45
SPEAKER_01: They do like a a uh uh uh like an 1800s camp on the outside of it.
12:50
SPEAKER_01: Nice, they could do all this like reenactment.
12:53
SPEAKER_01: Reenactment, yeah.
12:54
SPEAKER_01: So they do that, and and so it's this really cool festival that I went to all the time growing up, and it was in Attica, which is a town that there is nothing else other than the Ogridge Festival that happened once a year.
13:05
SPEAKER_00: That seems a little odd.
13:06
SPEAKER_00: The only thing in the town is we go into the woods.
13:10
SPEAKER_00: They they did it twice a year.
13:13
SPEAKER_00: Sounds like the wicker man.
13:14
SPEAKER_00: If it was a cornfield, it'd be like children of the corn.
13:17
SPEAKER_01: Come on, it's it was like the the whole thing was set up like an old 1800s town, and so so when you go back, there was like a village in the town.
13:24
SPEAKER_01: There was like buildings and everything, like an old, old town kind of deal.
13:28
SPEAKER_01: Uh, and I used to go in there, my grandma sold like like crocheted stuff or whatever in there, and she you everyone had to dress up, so she had to put on this old old dress or whatever to do we're talking like like reenactment kind of dressing, yeah, like 1800s dress.
13:42
SPEAKER_01: So she put on these things.
13:44
SPEAKER_01: Um, but in there, there was a like a saloon kind of thing that sold AW root beer, sass per and um cream soda in the bottles for like a buck or whatever.
13:58
SPEAKER_01: And man, that was like the highlight of my life at that time.
14:00
SPEAKER_01: You know, I was like, you know, 13, 14.
14:03
SPEAKER_01: Kind of like beer, it's not beer, it's ice cold, tastes good.
14:06
SPEAKER_01: They they break it open for you and give it to you in the bottle like that.
14:10
SPEAKER_01: So you just feel like you're drinking a beer, yeah.
14:12
SPEAKER_03: Especially the AW style, yeah.
14:14
SPEAKER_03: Things like or ABC or whatever it was called.
14:17
SPEAKER_00: Things like that are non-existent anymore because it it's not it's not commercialized enough.
14:22
SPEAKER_01: It's not the the prairie peddler is around now.
14:26
SPEAKER_01: That's still a thing.
14:27
SPEAKER_01: It's down around like Lancaster area, kind of like southeastern Ohio.
14:30
SPEAKER_01: The prairie pedaler peddler is a thing, and it I've I've gone to it once, and it's very similar to what this Oak Rush Fest was.
14:37
SPEAKER_01: And so uh the Oak Ridge Fest stopped like four or five years.
14:41
SPEAKER_01: Time doesn't exist anymore.
14:42
SPEAKER_01: Is it because of COVID?
14:43
SPEAKER_01: It was like five years prior to the city.
14:45
SPEAKER_01: It wasn't prior to COVID.
14:46
SPEAKER_01: It was before it stopped.
14:48
SPEAKER_01: Uh because the the the field and woods there was owned by somebody, and they sold it, and they sold it.
14:55
SPEAKER_01: Oh, it was screedy sons of bitches, what it was.
14:57
SPEAKER_01: So and then they put it all coming up.
14:59
SPEAKER_01: See, it's always money, it's always money.
15:01
SPEAKER_01: Couldn't come up with an agreement for it.
15:02
SPEAKER_03: Oh man, that's unfortunate.
15:04
SPEAKER_03: And they couldn't go somewhere else.
15:05
SPEAKER_01: They just they just yeah, they just ruined the town.
15:08
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, they closed it up.
15:10
SPEAKER_01: Um, but yeah, there would be these old like bluegrass-y kind of bands that would play in there.
15:14
SPEAKER_01: Uh I love bluegrass, I do too, and there was a band there, and they were they uh they were uh hand on string band is what they hand on, and I freaking loved them.
15:25
SPEAKER_01: I bought all their CDs when they were there and stuff, and I've tried finding them.
15:31
SPEAKER_01: Uh Amy and I were just talking about this, it was crazy.
15:34
SPEAKER_01: Like a few days ago, and I was like, you know what, can you look these guys up and just see are they still going to these?
15:40
SPEAKER_01: Like I like we're kind of getting into bluegrass right now, so I was like, I let's see if they're at anything.
15:46
SPEAKER_01: And like a month ago, they stopped performing.
15:49
SPEAKER_01: Oh that's right, they just closed up and stopped.
15:52
SPEAKER_01: But uh yeah, they were just these, but but this when you guys were talking about this, the the the Sasparilla reminded me of that, but also without fail, the spring version of this, they didn't the spring of the fall, it rained, and the track through the through the woods was all mulched wet, so that wet wood, yeah, and then and then the pine trees and all that with it.
16:17
SPEAKER_01: So I kind of got those like senses hitting me with this bottle, the memory of it, the memory of it, and it just really hit that like sitting there at that festival, going to that every year.
16:28
SPEAKER_01: And if you can get a feeling like that from a bottle, then that's what it's all about.
16:33
SPEAKER_01: That's what it's all about.
16:34
SPEAKER_01: There's a guy in there, he gave away for free every year.
16:36
SPEAKER_01: He carved little Santas uh into into like a stick or whatever, and it just really like like a Christmas ornament kind of deal.
16:43
SPEAKER_01: He cut he gave them away for free, he sold stuff in there.
16:47
SPEAKER_01: But if you came up to him, he'd be sitting there and he'd be carving them, and he would carve it and talk to you and everything, and then he'd give it to you.
16:55
SPEAKER_01: And so I have like six or seven of these Santas from every year, and he did them different every year, they're always the same for everybody that came that year, but some of them were like inlaid in a stick, other ones were carved out, you know, whatever.
17:08
SPEAKER_01: They're all different.
17:09
SPEAKER_01: But I we have like five or six of them at home.
17:12
SPEAKER_03: I can picture it now, little little Gus there listening to bluegrass and drinking.
17:18
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and look it up.
17:21
SPEAKER_01: Great memory that just came back because of this bottle.
17:24
SPEAKER_00: I feel like I could see little gus sitting beside the guy doing same things.
17:28
SPEAKER_01: Right, yeah.
17:28
SPEAKER_00: Watching watching him bar.
17:31
SPEAKER_00: He's got a candy cigarette in hand.
17:32
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's right.
17:34
SPEAKER_03: Well, that's cool.
17:35
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I I like that it brought it evoked that memory for you, Steve.
17:39
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, Eric Church is on my list of people to see for uh for like celebrity uh concerts and stuff.
17:46
SPEAKER_01: He I really want to see him live.
17:48
SPEAKER_01: He's he's up there for me.
17:50
SPEAKER_00: If he doesn't bring this bottle with him, I know I would be very interested.
17:54
SPEAKER_00: It has to be.
17:54
SPEAKER_01: I mean, every time Chris I've seen Chris Stableton two or three different times, and every time I've seen him, Travelers is everywhere.
18:01
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so that's what you gotta expect.
18:02
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, that's exactly what I would expect.
18:05
SPEAKER_03: It's done well, yeah.
18:07
SPEAKER_03: I'm interested uh, you know, try more of their stuff at this point.
18:11
SPEAKER_03: I mean, it's interesting that it's sourced, but it's like done right, you know, and it's unique.
18:17
SPEAKER_01: Based on the the the name, part of that is their nomadic nature, and that they're not gonna have a brick and mortar distillery.
18:26
SPEAKER_01: That's not part of the plan.
18:28
SPEAKER_01: They will source based on whatever it is they're gonna be doing.
18:31
SPEAKER_00: I was gonna say, do they plan on changing things up?
18:34
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so like this explorer series will always be great, uh uh uh uh uh wood-based.
18:41
SPEAKER_01: So there'll be some sort of another finishing that'll happen, and they'll change up those finishings as they release different versions of it.
18:49
SPEAKER_01: But that's the only one that possibly I mean, because everyone it's just age and so yeah, the legacy version uh is is more age, and then there is an I think it's called the international or something like that, that is green.
19:03
SPEAKER_01: So they'll change up the grains on that.
19:05
SPEAKER_01: So they may do like a red, white, and blue or something like that with with that particular thing.
19:10
SPEAKER_01: So they're gonna have three lines that are all based on those three things wood, grain, and age, and they'll change them up as as they change and go.
19:22
SPEAKER_04: Okay.
19:22
SPEAKER_01: And so this is by no means a limited release.
19:25
SPEAKER_01: I mean, this this bottle is in stores here in Ohio.
19:28
SPEAKER_01: Uh, that's where I bought it.
19:29
SPEAKER_01: I had a friend of mine told me about it and told me it was really good.
19:33
SPEAKER_01: So I wanted to try it.
19:35
SPEAKER_01: Um, my cousin Adam.
19:37
SPEAKER_01: And he's local around here also.
19:39
SPEAKER_01: And so he he's the one that pointed it out to me.
19:42
SPEAKER_01: But yeah, it's a really what I'm glad we're the price.
19:47
SPEAKER_01: Price?
19:47
SPEAKER_01: It is, it's I wouldn't it's not cheap, but it's a little bit more, right?
19:51
SPEAKER_01: It's not bad though.
19:53
SPEAKER_01: I want to say it's under 60.
19:55
unknown: Not really.
19:56
SPEAKER_01: Uh, I don't know that for sure though.
19:57
SPEAKER_01: Just let me check the OHLQ here.
19:59
SPEAKER_03: I'd be flabbergasted if that's under 60 bucks.
20:03
SPEAKER_03: Especially with church being kind of the backer behind it.
20:06
SPEAKER_03: I I would be really surprised if that's not an$80 bottle.
20:11
SPEAKER_03: Happy.
20:12
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, oh yeah.
20:13
SPEAKER_03: I mean, and I mean it even looks like it's more expensive than that.
20:17
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I mean, it's even got a six-year age statement on the front.
20:20
SPEAKER_03: $70.
20:21
SPEAKER_03: $70.
20:21
SPEAKER_03: Okay.
20:21
SPEAKER_03: $69.99.
20:22
SPEAKER_03: Still a great deal.
20:23
SPEAKER_03: Still under$80.
20:24
SPEAKER_03: I was expecting close to$90, yeah.
20:27
SPEAKER_03: I expect an$80 plus, yeah, for sure.
20:30
SPEAKER_03: So under 80s actually, that's still very welcome.
20:34
SPEAKER_03: Now, the legacy series, the one that's based on the 80s.
20:37
SPEAKER_03: He's gotta be up there 200.
20:38
SPEAKER_01: Nailed it, 200, 199.99.
20:41
SPEAKER_00: But how old is that one getting up?
20:43
SPEAKER_00: I mean, like 13 years, probably.
20:45
SPEAKER_01: Uh, well, this was batch number two, and there actually is a a declaration also and a tribute.
20:52
SPEAKER_01: There's a few of them here in Ohio.
20:54
SPEAKER_01: Uh, batch two is 60 11-year-old American whiskey.
21:01
SPEAKER_01: 11.
21:01
SPEAKER_03: I was close, dude.
21:02
SPEAKER_01: 36 18-year-old Canadian rye, 18 Canadian.
21:06
SPEAKER_01: And 4% 10-year-old Indian single malt, Indian single malt.
21:10
SPEAKER_03: Indians, uh, the Indian single malt.
21:13
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, we've had Indian single malt.
21:14
SPEAKER_00: Okay.
21:15
SPEAKER_00: So I I might be a little more intrigued by by Eric and this company then, because I'm expecting all that's a good mix.
21:23
SPEAKER_00: I'm expecting all American like sourced from America stuff.
21:27
SPEAKER_00: He's it's I don't think he's landlocked.
21:29
SPEAKER_03: I think that dude's it's all about exploring in general, not just in America.
21:33
SPEAKER_00: Well, that's what I appreciate.
21:34
SPEAKER_00: The fact that he's willing to explore, but also be willing to be involved.
21:39
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, he's he's about like experience and living life from things.
21:42
SPEAKER_00: It's not but this very much drinks.
21:44
SPEAKER_00: We've had other celebrity bottles.
21:45
SPEAKER_00: This very much drinks like I had a hand in it.
21:48
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, more personal.
21:50
SPEAKER_00: I yeah, this has a touch of some kind.
21:52
SPEAKER_00: Like, this isn't just me signing my name to something and saying it's mine.
21:56
SPEAKER_00: This is something like I'm sitting with you while you're blending the barrel to figure out what.
22:00
SPEAKER_00: We want.
22:01
SPEAKER_01: For that legacy series, there is a batch three that has come out already.
22:04
SPEAKER_01: It's called the Declaration for the 250th anniversary.
22:08
SPEAKER_01: So it is Maryland style rye for that one.
22:11
SPEAKER_01: Maryland style.
22:12
SPEAKER_01: Maryland rye.
22:14
SPEAKER_01: Just a Maryland straight rye.
22:15
SPEAKER_01: Like it does not have an age statement on that.
22:18
SPEAKER_01: Just right now, I don't think it's available yet.
22:20
SPEAKER_01: Crab cakes in football.
22:22
SPEAKER_01: That's what Maryland does.
22:24
SPEAKER_03: Crab cakes and football.
22:26
SPEAKER_03: Nobody gets nobody's getting that.
22:27
SPEAKER_03: Somebody listening is getting that quote.
22:29
SPEAKER_03: Crab cakes in football.
22:30
SPEAKER_03: That's what Maryland does.
22:32
SPEAKER_03: Somebody's gonna be like, somebody's gonna be like, yes, yes, but you guys don't get it.
22:36
SPEAKER_03: I don't get it.
22:37
SPEAKER_03: Don't get it.
22:37
SPEAKER_03: I'm not even gonna tell you.
22:38
SPEAKER_01: That's all right.
22:39
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
22:39
SPEAKER_01: No, I'm gonna leave it.
22:40
SPEAKER_01: This is gonna be a be a surprise.
22:42
SPEAKER_01: Somebody's gonna get it.
22:43
SPEAKER_01: Text us or leave us a voicemail, letting us know what that is.
22:45
SPEAKER_01: Somebody's gonna get it.
22:46
SPEAKER_01: The tribute double barrel, which is their kind of budget normal price, 40 bucks.
22:52
SPEAKER_01: Well, that's great.
22:53
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
22:53
SPEAKER_01: And that one is an 86%, uh 86 proof white corn.
22:59
SPEAKER_01: So 80% corn, 10 rye, 10 barley.
23:01
SPEAKER_01: 86, they went with the old 86.
23:04
SPEAKER_00: Again, you know what?
23:05
SPEAKER_00: For a celebrity endorsed bottle, white corn.
23:08
SPEAKER_00: I wonder where they're getting.
23:09
SPEAKER_00: I'm very impressed right now.
23:11
SPEAKER_00: Like the fact that we're this is a great, like it's a good bottle.
23:14
SPEAKER_00: It's a good bottle, but the fact that we're still you you talk about the other ones, we're going white corn.
23:18
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, okay, that's not normal, but there's also different strands of white corn that we could be using.
23:23
SPEAKER_00: We go to Indian single malt.
23:25
SPEAKER_00: Okay, Canadian rye is normal.
23:28
SPEAKER_03: I mean, I'd like a higher proof, but we if you're gonna go low proof, 86 does hit the nail right on the head, like it's the right proof.
23:35
SPEAKER_03: That's a throwback, yeah, and then white corn?
23:38
SPEAKER_03: That's interesting.
23:39
SPEAKER_03: I wonder where they're getting that one from.
23:40
SPEAKER_03: No idea.
23:41
SPEAKER_03: I would like to get my hands on that.
23:43
SPEAKER_03: A little$40 jobby.
23:44
SPEAKER_03: Why not?
23:45
SPEAKER_03: I mean, I like to get the expensive stuff too.
23:47
SPEAKER_03: We should do more of their stuff.
23:48
SPEAKER_00: I I like I really I would love to enter if we could get anyone to interview.
23:52
SPEAKER_02: I would love to interview and start asking questions like church off, Steve would be freaking out.
23:58
SPEAKER_01: I mean, yeah, I wouldn't be contributing a lot to that episode.
24:03
SPEAKER_00: No, but I I'd be very curious to interview them and ask like why, like, what what's the drive behind this?
24:10
SPEAKER_00: Because this very much feels less of a money grab and more of a passion.
24:14
SPEAKER_00: Yes.
24:15
SPEAKER_03: And I appreciate passion for a sourced celebrity model.
24:18
SPEAKER_01: Right.
24:19
SPEAKER_01: There does feel passionate.
24:20
SPEAKER_01: It is a creative outlet for Eric Church.
24:23
SPEAKER_01: And so, and like that's something that they talk a lot about.
24:25
SPEAKER_01: So I was listening to a podcast with uh Ari's Sessman on there.
24:29
SPEAKER_00: And uh so you're saying we can get Ari?
24:31
SPEAKER_01: Is that okay, okay?
24:34
SPEAKER_01: He is on the circuit, so maybe he was he was on uh whiskey lore, that one that I've sent you a couple times with different episodes.
24:39
SPEAKER_01: Maybe get us with church in him and stuff, yeah, exactly.
24:42
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, see if we can get our shirt.
24:44
SPEAKER_01: Doesn't hurt to ask.
24:45
SPEAKER_01: No, absolutely not.
24:46
SPEAKER_01: So I'll for sure let them know we we did this.
24:51
SPEAKER_01: If we get a concert or something, you know, that'd be cool.
24:55
SPEAKER_00: We will not stalk you.
24:58
SPEAKER_00: But but if you do a concert in Columbus, we have a spot for you to come after us.
25:01
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, exactly.
25:02
SPEAKER_03: What if you what if we gave what if you gave us like free tickets?
25:04
SPEAKER_03: Oh yeah, I'd be I'd be cannot do your podcast, but here are some free tickets.
25:09
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, come to a show.
25:10
SPEAKER_00: What if we did a backstage podcast?
25:12
SPEAKER_03: Ooh.
25:14
SPEAKER_03: What if we took and I don't like taking shots, but what if we took shots with Eric Church?
25:19
SPEAKER_03: Hey oh, that could be a good episode.
25:23
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that'd be awesome.
25:24
SPEAKER_00: Tour bus podcast.
25:25
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I'm seeing something here.
25:26
SPEAKER_00: I've seen it, yeah.
25:27
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's a nice picture.
25:29
SPEAKER_01: We tend to make fun of celebrity endorsed stuff, yeah.
25:32
SPEAKER_01: Usually it isn't great, or you know, maybe it's not bad, but it's not good.
25:37
SPEAKER_01: We've taken our shots at them, yeah.
25:39
SPEAKER_01: Traveler is one that we've had that is like it's this is okay.
25:42
SPEAKER_01: This is good.
25:43
SPEAKER_03: You can't mess up Buffalo Trees.
25:44
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, exactly.
25:45
SPEAKER_03: I mean, that one's uh that one was kind of shooting shooting fish in a bad thing.
25:48
SPEAKER_01: There's a foolproof one that we're gonna try and we're gonna do that.
25:51
SPEAKER_01: That one actually might be good.
25:53
SPEAKER_01: That's new for us.
25:58
SPEAKER_00: That's pretty exciting.
25:59
SPEAKER_00: The fact that we we have had celebrity bottles and the majority of them, Steve's right, we have taken our shots at.
26:05
SPEAKER_00: But the ones that we haven't have been McConaughey, Matthew McConaughey's, yeah, believe it or not.
26:10
SPEAKER_00: And this one.
26:11
SPEAKER_00: These might be the only two that we've Heaven's Door.
26:13
SPEAKER_01: Heaven's door is.
26:14
SPEAKER_00: We didn't really take our shot at that.
26:15
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
26:16
SPEAKER_01: We we liked Heaven Door, but also I don't know how much I don't know how much Bob Dylan's involved.
26:22
SPEAKER_03: I don't think he's involved at all.
26:24
SPEAKER_03: I at least McConaughey's like in the commercials drinking it.
26:27
SPEAKER_03: Whether that's true.
26:28
SPEAKER_03: I actually think I actually feel like he's a genuine guy.
26:31
SPEAKER_03: So I think when you see him like there, I think he actually takes more of a hand in it.
26:34
SPEAKER_00: Oh, we think he does.
26:35
SPEAKER_00: I think he does.
26:36
SPEAKER_00: A thousand percent McCaffrey.
26:38
SPEAKER_00: McCaughey, oh yeah, oh yeah, he does.
26:39
SPEAKER_00: He did quite a bit, like taking over their marketing and stuff for it.
26:42
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I think he's he's got some skin in the game on that one.
26:45
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but then you've got ones that we've done like uh Sweet and S Cove.
26:48
SPEAKER_00: Like we've had Sweet and Coves and we're like, yeah, like okay, especially for the price.
26:52
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, like okay, why this is a great price, a great bottle, great experience.
26:56
SPEAKER_03: It brought Steve memories.
26:57
SPEAKER_03: It did.
26:58
SPEAKER_00: How's it great?
26:59
SPEAKER_03: I love to even be a part of that when people have like uh, you know, the journey that I that I usually go on, you know.
27:05
SPEAKER_01: And that's the thing.
27:06
SPEAKER_01: I I I this this bottle, I've had this bottle for a little while, and so I've I've had it before this, and I I enjoy it, it's a good bottle.
27:15
SPEAKER_01: But now anytime like that happens where you get a memory attached to it, now it's going on a different shelf, it's going on a different spot in the bar.
27:22
SPEAKER_01: Like this now goes at a spot that has like, oh, this bottle has this memory attached to it.
27:28
SPEAKER_00: That's some kind of memory.
27:29
SPEAKER_03: Well, and I feel like we always say like this tobacco pairs really well with this, you know what I mean?
27:34
SPEAKER_03: And I definitely do think there are times where we pair but things better than others, and it maybe not this specific, although this is a really good, like aged English, but I think English in this goes well together.
27:44
SPEAKER_03: English goes well with it, yeah.
27:45
SPEAKER_03: So I don't know if it's specifically this tobacco that's so good, but I think I mean this is just an English blend, you know what I mean?
27:51
SPEAKER_03: But it's a good English blend, it's aged really well.
27:54
SPEAKER_03: But I think it it's going really well with this.
27:56
SPEAKER_03: I feel like we always say that, but uh, maybe uh maybe anytime you're smoking, yeah.
28:00
SPEAKER_01: It's better.
28:01
SPEAKER_01: It turns out tobacco or whiskey.
28:02
SPEAKER_01: Tobacco really well.
28:04
SPEAKER_03: How about that?
28:05
SPEAKER_00: Really well, and uh those White Castle sliders.
28:07
SPEAKER_00: So the other night I was sitting in uh Mary was not home yet.
28:11
SPEAKER_00: I was sitting in the basement.
28:12
SPEAKER_00: Did you get a suitcase?
28:13
SPEAKER_00: I literally was like, you know what?
28:14
SPEAKER_00: For some reason right now, I'm taking back to Chris and I come back from Kentucky.
28:18
SPEAKER_00: We stopped at uh White Castle and got a suitcase of sliders, which is a lot, which is 30 sliders, and I in my mind I was like, it's way less than 30.
28:28
SPEAKER_00: We did we we ate it all, we're good to go.
28:30
SPEAKER_00: We ate all of them.
28:31
SPEAKER_00: We almost hit a deer at that time too.
28:32
SPEAKER_00: You were a deer, yeah.
28:33
SPEAKER_00: Or the deer almost hit us, I guess you could say.
28:35
SPEAKER_00: But I it was the deer's fault.
28:37
SPEAKER_00: It was, it really was.
28:38
SPEAKER_00: Uh, but I was sitting there and I was like, I'd sporee since I've had White Castle.
28:43
SPEAKER_00: Last time we got a suitcase, I have to do the same thing.
28:45
SPEAKER_00: Have you have you had White Castle lately?
28:47
SPEAKER_00: No, I'm not not in a while.
28:49
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I I probably will not have White Castle after this.
28:53
SPEAKER_00: Well, they're not good.
28:54
SPEAKER_00: No, it's it's actually like flavor-wise, it's good.
28:56
SPEAKER_00: You just can't look at what you're eating because their burgers are like great.
29:02
SPEAKER_00: They're like they're like you don't look at them.
29:05
SPEAKER_01: There's a reason the bun is bigger than the patty.
29:08
SPEAKER_01: You don't want to see that's not real meat.
29:11
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah, but the best ones are those ghost pepper ones, the jalapeno one?
29:15
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, man, those are so good.
29:16
SPEAKER_03: The smoked cheddar ones still drop like 15 of those easy myself.
29:20
SPEAKER_03: I think I went through 15.
29:22
SPEAKER_00: Good.
29:22
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and just in one sitting, and it's like, okay, maybe I'm done.
29:25
SPEAKER_00: I gotta save them for later.
29:26
SPEAKER_03: Then if you sit there, you'll eat more.
29:28
SPEAKER_01: Because they are they're like potato chips, they're just a little bit more.
29:30
SPEAKER_03: Like, I am so done, and then you sit there and you're like, I'll have one more.
29:34
SPEAKER_03: You know what I mean?
29:35
SPEAKER_03: Then you have like two or three more, and you're like, God, I am done.
29:38
SPEAKER_03: And then you end up eating some more, and you're like, geez, these things are these things are like crack cocaine.
29:43
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, they're good.
29:44
SPEAKER_01: First, first fast food restaurant, by the way.
29:47
SPEAKER_01: Never really before McDonald's, before all that started in Columbus.
29:51
SPEAKER_03: Started in Columbus, uh, just just north of well, uh Arcadian High was the first one, basically.
29:58
SPEAKER_03: Where there was a zoo, the original Columbus Zoo, and and a little amusement park was right there in Clintonville, Arcadian High, north of all the way to North Broadway, basically.
30:08
SPEAKER_03: Nobody knows this.
30:09
SPEAKER_03: There's you can look it up.
30:10
SPEAKER_03: There's actually a video on it, and some of the remnants are still there if you drive through the area.
30:15
SPEAKER_03: There was an actual zoo there, lions and bears and stuff.
30:18
SPEAKER_03: And the original uh White Castle was right there, and they said there was a lot of handshake deal, handshake deals uh that you know changed the the way that the city uh like right there in that White Castle, like like big um you know history-making deals that were made in those white in that White Castle.
30:37
SPEAKER_03: It's interesting.
30:37
SPEAKER_00: I I totally thought that you meant sort of like McDonald's had a playground that White Castle had a zoo.
30:45
SPEAKER_01: Just a play area, so you're gonna be able to do that.
30:49
SPEAKER_03: It just happened to be right there.
30:51
SPEAKER_03: They did have a zoo.
30:52
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, that's really wild.
30:53
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and if you there's videos and pictures.
30:55
SPEAKER_00: No, no, no, there's a book you can buy.
30:56
SPEAKER_00: So I used to work at the bogey before it shut down.
30:59
SPEAKER_00: They had like a private area for like dining parties, these things.
31:04
SPEAKER_00: And my first experience of them hosting anything or having like a private party there was some parent that was like, We're throwing a birthday party for a kid.
31:12
SPEAKER_00: This kid was probably like five or six.
31:15
SPEAKER_00: The parents got with the zoo and brought penguins from the zoo into the bogey.
31:24
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, they allowed it, they had it in there.
31:26
SPEAKER_01: Like the penguins are just like an educational guy come out and talk about the penguins.
31:31
unknown: That's interesting.
31:32
SPEAKER_01: Like, I was like, What what are we doing here?
31:34
SPEAKER_03: With all his uh legal problems.
31:38
SPEAKER_03: He did, I guess.
31:39
SPEAKER_03: Some fraud, there was a lot of fraud going on.
31:42
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, maybe that was the penguin ordeal.
31:44
SPEAKER_03: He had the best pizza, they had a bald eagle pizza, they had the bald eagle with uh the jalapenos or pizza.
31:49
SPEAKER_03: It was almost like a chicken bacon ranch with jalapenos.
31:51
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it was good.
31:51
SPEAKER_03: That's awesome.
31:52
SPEAKER_03: It was a really good pizza.
31:53
SPEAKER_00: We used to go there and just get it.
31:54
SPEAKER_00: And it had like the right amount of spice.
31:56
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it was good.
31:57
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, they did it, they did a good job.
31:59
SPEAKER_03: I used to eat there all the time.
32:00
SPEAKER_03: When you were working, yeah.
32:01
SPEAKER_03: When you were working, it's when I was golfing.
32:04
SPEAKER_03: Came off the course.
32:05
SPEAKER_00: Did they poop?
32:07
SPEAKER_04: Probably.
32:09
SPEAKER_00: But it was in the building.
32:10
SPEAKER_00: Like, what do what do you do?
32:11
SPEAKER_00: Well, who cleaned it?
32:12
SPEAKER_00: Not not I.
32:14
SPEAKER_00: I had nothing to do with it.
32:15
SPEAKER_00: Zoo workers came for that.
32:17
SPEAKER_03: Not I.
32:18
SPEAKER_03: I'm surprised they I'm surprised there's not like rules and laws and stuff about taking penguins out of the zoo.
32:24
SPEAKER_00: Well, you can't really bring animals into a restaurant.
32:28
SPEAKER_03: Oh, there's that.
32:29
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
32:32
SPEAKER_03: There might have been some cash changed in hands.
32:36
SPEAKER_03: We've got 15 minutes before anybody misses these penguins.
32:41
SPEAKER_00: They really have a hard time.
32:42
SPEAKER_00: Uh the the yeah, there's a big no-no with animals around food.
32:47
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, think about that.
32:48
SPEAKER_00: Sanitary.
32:49
SPEAKER_03: That's why breweries that's why it shut down.
32:51
SPEAKER_00: Breweries without food can have like pets.
32:53
SPEAKER_00: They can have like dogs and stuff in in the building because there's no food food.
32:57
SPEAKER_00: But the minute you bring in food, it's like if it's a service animal, maybe we can't really deny it, but we also can't really legally allow it.
33:07
SPEAKER_03: Well, legally, did you know you're not even able to ask?
33:09
SPEAKER_03: You can't even ask.
33:10
SPEAKER_03: You're not supposed to ask.
33:11
SPEAKER_03: It's illegal for you to ask if it's a service animal.
33:14
SPEAKER_00: It's also illegal just to have it in the building with food.
33:16
SPEAKER_03: Not if it's a serviced animal.
33:18
SPEAKER_03: You can have those things anywhere.
33:19
SPEAKER_03: Exactly.
33:20
SPEAKER_01: Don't ask, don't tell.
33:22
SPEAKER_01: You can't ask.
33:23
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I I really don't like that.
33:25
SPEAKER_01: It's kind of a big problem for me.
33:27
SPEAKER_01: I'm not a big fan of that either.
33:28
SPEAKER_01: Look, I like animals, but uh Amy really wants to take our dog like into like the store or whatever.
33:33
SPEAKER_01: It's an imposition.
33:34
SPEAKER_01: And I'm just like, no, it's it's we don't need the dog there.
33:37
SPEAKER_03: It is not a service dog.
33:38
SPEAKER_03: Look, I was in a uh Home Depot one time and there was a dog in front of me.
33:42
SPEAKER_03: You can take any dog to a Home Depot.
33:44
SPEAKER_03: Well, but here was the wrong thing.
33:46
SPEAKER_03: Those places are cool with it.
33:47
SPEAKER_03: Dog took, I think he sharded a little bit.
33:49
SPEAKER_03: It wasn't like a full poop.
33:50
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and I'm not sure if the lady knew or not.
33:53
SPEAKER_03: I think she kind of knew, but we're not gonna anyway.
33:56
SPEAKER_03: Somebody ran into it, and I was watching it happen.
33:58
SPEAKER_03: And I I wasn't gonna say anything because I thought it was hilarious.
34:01
SPEAKER_03: But I saw somebody run into it, runs over it, doesn't notice it.
34:04
SPEAKER_03: He's driving through the store.
34:06
SPEAKER_03: There's poop going everywhere.
34:07
SPEAKER_03: Somebody else slips in it with their foot.
34:10
SPEAKER_03: That's when the managers got involved, and people started clean up on aisle three, four, and eight.
34:15
SPEAKER_01: You know, when we were when we that's a problem.
34:17
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, when we first got solely, we would take him to Home Depot in Lowe's because you're allowed to take them into hardware stores and stuff.
34:22
SPEAKER_01: They're you're allowed to take any animal into those places, so it's a good socialization and like training kind of thing.
34:28
SPEAKER_01: So that's why you'll see a lot of dogs in those places with like trainers, because it's a good place to take them to to try that stuff, um, and like practice service animals and things.
34:38
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, um, but menards, you can't, and it's because they have groceries.
34:44
SPEAKER_01: Menard sells groceries, food.
34:46
SPEAKER_01: So because of that, you can't, and we didn't know that.
34:48
SPEAKER_01: So, like, we took menards, is my preferred that is my favorite of the hardware stores.
34:54
SPEAKER_01: It's a little bit more special, too.
34:55
SPEAKER_03: I like it.
34:55
SPEAKER_03: Well, it's also cheaper, it's it's it's cheaper.
34:59
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, you do.
34:59
SPEAKER_03: I will say this I'm not I don't pay attention enough to not walk in dog shit.
35:04
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, okay.
35:05
SPEAKER_03: So, like, that's one for me.
35:06
SPEAKER_03: Like, I if a dog you gotta clean it up.
35:08
SPEAKER_03: A dog shouldn't be in here because I'm just not like I'm just not gonna be able to pay it.
35:12
SPEAKER_03: And if I step in it, that's a problem.
35:14
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and it's not mine.
35:15
SPEAKER_03: No, yeah.
35:15
SPEAKER_03: The other thing is the people the people that bring those dogs into there are also the people that will walk them, and I've seen it.
35:23
SPEAKER_03: They let them shit in people's yards and then do not pick it up.
35:26
SPEAKER_03: You there's no lower human being.
35:29
SPEAKER_03: Like there are people out there that are committing crimes that are not as bad as the people that allow a dog to shit in your yard and not clean it up.
35:38
SPEAKER_03: That is a real problem, and it's a problem with yourself, it's not your dog's problem.
35:42
SPEAKER_03: That is a very selfish, probably not even a human uh soul in you problem.
35:48
SPEAKER_03: Who lets a dog shit in another man's yard and not pick it up?
35:52
SPEAKER_03: And it happens, it happens more often than not, it happens a lot, and that's an actual problem.
35:56
SPEAKER_03: What the hell is wrong with people that they're not picking up their dog's poop?
36:00
SPEAKER_03: Don't even have a dog at that point if you can't pick up its damn poop.
36:03
SPEAKER_03: If it's the grass between the sidewalk and the street, I don't care whatever.
36:07
SPEAKER_03: That that doesn't matter.
36:08
SPEAKER_03: It should be picked up.
36:09
SPEAKER_03: No, it should be picked up.
36:10
SPEAKER_03: I don't care if it's in the woods, pick up that dog shit.
36:13
SPEAKER_00: What I'm saying is I don't care or mind if your dog shits there.
36:17
SPEAKER_00: If you let it walk up close to my front door and you're walking with them, I have a slight problem with that.
36:23
SPEAKER_03: Here's here's my thing if it's an animal, if it's a pet, you're responsible.
36:28
SPEAKER_03: I don't expect a wild animal to to watch where he shits or her her shit her shits.
36:34
SPEAKER_03: I don't care about that.
36:35
SPEAKER_03: But if it's your pet and you allow them to shit outside, you're responsible for that shit.
36:41
SPEAKER_03: That's a problem.
36:42
SPEAKER_03: Every time.
36:42
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, every time.
36:43
SPEAKER_03: And I mean, uh, it's one thing in the woods, I guess, when they're when it's like even then.
36:48
SPEAKER_03: Even then though, like it's not you can't have your cake and eat it too.
36:51
SPEAKER_03: Well, he's a wild animal.
36:52
SPEAKER_03: No, he's not, he's your pet and he lives in your house.
36:55
SPEAKER_03: That dog would not survive without that's like a huge that's like a uh a you don't let some nine-year-old go out there and just shit in the woods.
37:01
SPEAKER_03: I mean, if he had to, right?
37:02
SPEAKER_03: But then you're still kind of responsible.
37:04
SPEAKER_03: You don't let him wipe and throw the paper away.
37:06
SPEAKER_03: That's littering, right?
37:07
SPEAKER_03: So that's my thing.
37:08
SPEAKER_03: It's very similar.
37:10
SPEAKER_03: Now, if it's a wild animal, it is what it is.
37:13
SPEAKER_03: But you have a dog on a leash and he shits in my yard and you don't pick it up, I'm gonna rub your face in it.
37:18
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I have a problem with that.
37:19
SPEAKER_03: Yep, because again, I don't pay attention and I'm gonna walk in that at some point.
37:24
SPEAKER_03: Yep.
37:24
SPEAKER_01: I'm 100% with you as a dog owner.
37:27
SPEAKER_01: I am 100% with you.
37:28
SPEAKER_01: And when I used to work, I used to work at uh uh as a in like a leasing office apartment complex, and man, I never felt better about giving a fine.
37:36
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it's great than giving out a fine to somebody the epitome of laziness and the people go out of their way to put those bags there.
37:43
SPEAKER_03: I see bags everywhere.
37:44
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, you are that that lazy that you can't pick up your own dog shit, that's a problem.
37:49
SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
37:49
SPEAKER_01: I have I I I there's uh I I sometimes walk somebody else's dog, so we have a route that we go.
37:56
SPEAKER_01: And I one time ran out of bags, and so the dog took a shit in somebody's yard right there, but I knew there was a there was a bag place at the end of our thing, and we were gonna so I just I and like nobody was outside.
38:10
SPEAKER_01: If somebody was outside, I would have told them.
38:12
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, they're like, I'm not gonna be a douchebag.
38:15
SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna get that I because I will because I would have, if I was the homeowner, even if they would have had a ring doorbell, I probably would have waved and pointed and be like, be back, you know, just you know, yeah, because I see you and I'm sorry, but I will be back.
38:31
SPEAKER_03: You're gonna be like the guy from a cruise to the sound of bitches, buff uses.
38:35
SPEAKER_03: Like if I saw somebody doing that and they run off.
38:38
SPEAKER_03: I've told people before, you come back here and pick that shit up.
38:41
SPEAKER_03: Like, yeah, that's not my shit.
38:42
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, like I'll go, I'll find where you live and smear that on your door.
38:46
SPEAKER_03: Dog ownership is a privilege, and so you gotta take care of it.
38:50
SPEAKER_03: That's right.
38:50
SPEAKER_03: If you're treating it like an if it's not a wild animal, you are responsible for that dog.
38:54
SPEAKER_03: Yep.
38:55
SPEAKER_01: When I was in scouts and stuff, I learned that pretty hardcore about like in campgrounds and stuff.
39:00
SPEAKER_01: You're like, you can't cut through somebody else's campground.
39:02
SPEAKER_01: You know what that's called.
39:03
SPEAKER_01: It's just respect courtesy.
39:05
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's just teach it anymore.
39:07
SPEAKER_01: You gotta announce yourself, you gotta ask permission to watch it.
39:09
SPEAKER_03: Leave it better than you left it.
39:11
SPEAKER_03: You know, be respectful, be courteous, be kind.
39:14
SPEAKER_03: It's not hard to be a good human being.
39:16
SPEAKER_03: It's really not.
39:16
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, just like it's laziness.
39:18
SPEAKER_03: What it all comes down to is laziness.
39:20
SPEAKER_03: That's what we are as a society.
39:22
SPEAKER_03: You can't even stoop down to pick up your own dog poop, you can't walk the long way around, you cut through somebody's yard, all these things.
39:28
SPEAKER_03: Not to get on that soapbox, but quite a tangent we want up, but quite a lazy.
39:34
SPEAKER_03: The important thing is we are having a good time drinking.
39:37
SPEAKER_01: You better clean up your damn dog shit.
39:39
SPEAKER_03: Clean up that dog shit.
39:41
SPEAKER_03: Also, this is good whiskey.
39:43
SPEAKER_03: There's no laziness involved, and it's good tobacco.
39:46
SPEAKER_03: And and yeah, uh we're not mad or angry.
39:48
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, we're not mad or angry.
39:49
SPEAKER_01: We're just unless you do that, and then you are the problem.
39:53
SPEAKER_01: You are the problem.
39:54
SPEAKER_01: We will and we will yell at you.
39:57
SPEAKER_03: This all was meant for you.
40:00
SPEAKER_03: If you're listening to this and you disagree with us, look in the mirror.
40:03
SPEAKER_03: You're the problem.
40:03
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, you're the problem.
40:04
SPEAKER_03: You can text us, we will not text back.
40:07
SPEAKER_00: To all dog owners that might walk on any of our yards or let their dog shit in our yards.
40:13
SPEAKER_00: If you leave a bottle like this as an apology, yeah, you can pay me.
40:18
SPEAKER_00: We'll let that slide.
40:19
SPEAKER_01: You can pay me to pick up your dog shit.
40:21
SPEAKER_01: I will do that, but you will have to pay me first.
40:24
SPEAKER_01: You'll have to make me aware of it.
40:26
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, because I'll step in it.
40:28
SPEAKER_00: So, Chris, your whole thing is just make his is an awareness issue.
40:33
SPEAKER_00: I just I don't want to have to do extra things either.
40:35
SPEAKER_00: You and I are aware, we see it, we're fully aware.
40:38
SPEAKER_00: I'm lazy, forget it.
40:39
SPEAKER_03: I'm lazy in ways that don't hurt other people.
40:41
SPEAKER_03: I don't want to have to look at my feet when I walk around outside.
40:45
SPEAKER_03: That's not a me problem.
40:46
SPEAKER_03: That's not a me problem.
40:48
SPEAKER_00: So you never watch where you're stepping.
40:50
SPEAKER_03: I mean, not I mean, there's other things to look at.
40:53
SPEAKER_03: It's not like I do, I don't step in dog poop often, but but I but when I do, I I but when I see I mean who who here has mowed their grass and been like, that's dog shit in my yard, and I'm about to mow over.
41:09
SPEAKER_03: And if you've ever mowed mowed over dog shit, that actually is a problem.
41:12
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it's bad.
41:13
SPEAKER_01: I do it a lot, but it's because it's my backyard and it's my dog.
41:17
SPEAKER_01: So it's like that's on me.
41:18
SPEAKER_01: That's my leg.
41:19
SPEAKER_01: That's the day.
41:20
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and that's fine, it's your backyard, it doesn't affect anybody.
41:24
SPEAKER_01: If it happens in my front yard, it's somebody else's problem.
41:26
SPEAKER_01: Not my dog doesn't affect anybody my front yard.
41:29
SPEAKER_01: Then it's yeah, that's on me.
41:31
SPEAKER_01: Just be it, be a good human be a good person, being human person.
41:35
SPEAKER_01: Pick up your dog poop, don't walk in other people's yards and drink gypsy.
41:41
SPEAKER_00: While we're on the topic of gypsy, we're I don't know if we've really stated we're we're going through a series of celebrity endorsed celebrity-owned bottles.
41:51
SPEAKER_00: For all the listeners out there, we talked about having a possible voicemail option or texting option.
41:57
SPEAKER_00: If there is any celebrity endorsed bottle that you know of, you're like, I you guys should do this.
42:03
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that we haven't had, yeah.
42:04
SPEAKER_00: That we haven't had, please let us know.
42:06
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, because we want to know about the good ones.
42:08
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, like there are like we also want to know about the bad ones, possible bad ones.
42:12
SPEAKER_01: I want to know about them so I can talk about them.
42:14
SPEAKER_03: This channel's not immune to getting shit on.
42:16
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, we will shit on bottles if that's what we need.
42:18
SPEAKER_01: So I mean, like like blacked is the is the Metallica one or whatever.
42:21
SPEAKER_01: We have we done black.
42:22
SPEAKER_01: We have done black too.
42:23
SPEAKER_03: I am a huge Metallica fan, so we should do that just because I like Metallica.
42:28
SPEAKER_03: I've never tried it.
42:29
SPEAKER_03: Blackened, I think it's blackened.
42:31
SPEAKER_01: We haven't done it, gimmicky as hell.
42:33
SPEAKER_01: It's you're playing Metallica music to your barrels, fade to black.
42:37
SPEAKER_01: So, but uh like I'm I'm up to try it.
42:40
SPEAKER_03: Look, I'll try it because I like Metallica.
42:41
SPEAKER_03: I'm a big fan.
42:42
SPEAKER_03: Big fan.
42:44
SPEAKER_01: Okay, yeah, I guess I'll get a bottle of black for that.
42:46
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I think it's blackened as well.
42:49
SPEAKER_01: I think it's blackened.
42:50
SPEAKER_03: There's other things out there.
42:52
SPEAKER_01: There's there's other bottles.
42:53
SPEAKER_01: Oh, sure.
42:54
SPEAKER_01: There's other bottles that we may not know of.
42:56
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
42:56
SPEAKER_01: Slumber endorsement's a big thing in whiskey, and it it it seemed to come and go fairly quickly, though.
43:01
SPEAKER_01: I don't know that there's a lot of new ones that are coming out.
43:04
SPEAKER_00: There's big country.
43:05
SPEAKER_01: I feel it more country.
43:07
SPEAKER_01: Uh what was George Straight is a tequila brand.
43:10
SPEAKER_01: I'm kind of surprised.
43:11
SPEAKER_03: What was the peach pecan one that we had, Chris?
43:13
SPEAKER_03: Oh, that was uh that group.
43:15
SPEAKER_00: Who, yeah, Georgia Florida Line.
43:17
SPEAKER_00: Georgia, Florida Line.
43:19
SPEAKER_00: That's not a full was that a foolproof.
43:21
SPEAKER_00: No, I don't think it was foolproof.
43:23
SPEAKER_03: But yeah, I'm surprised like uh other like Irish whiskey.
43:27
SPEAKER_03: Like you think like Flogging Molly or the Dubliner, like there was that would be kind of cool if they did one.
43:34
SPEAKER_01: Connor McGregor.
43:35
SPEAKER_01: Connelly McGregor did an Irish.
43:37
SPEAKER_01: Um I guess I'm thinking more music in the world.
43:39
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, music.
43:40
SPEAKER_01: But yeah, but he didn't.
43:42
SPEAKER_01: Floggy Molly would be cool, right?
43:43
SPEAKER_03: Or they even sloriano.
43:44
SPEAKER_03: I think so.
43:45
SPEAKER_03: The Dubliners, you know what I mean?
43:46
SPEAKER_03: Like uh some of those other bands that you don't the old one, old ones, you know.
43:50
SPEAKER_03: The old ones.
43:51
SPEAKER_00: There's a lot more tequila endorsed than there are tequila and vodka endorsed.
43:56
SPEAKER_00: Not a whole lot of gin or whiskey.
43:58
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, a lot of tequila.
43:59
SPEAKER_00: A lot of tequila.
44:00
SPEAKER_00: Good amount of vodka.
44:01
SPEAKER_00: I don't know of any gin.
44:03
SPEAKER_00: Oh.
44:04
SPEAKER_00: Aviation gin.
44:05
SPEAKER_00: Well, I think he sold.
44:06
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he sold.
44:07
SPEAKER_01: But he likes sorry, like it, yeah.
44:09
SPEAKER_01: I guess that would be yeah.
44:10
SPEAKER_03: Well, no uh no uh uh cognac or brandy or armignac or anything like that.
44:17
SPEAKER_00: There's rum even, but I don't know about any cognac.
44:21
SPEAKER_03: I don't think anybody's ever done a brandy though.
44:23
SPEAKER_03: That'd be kind of cool.
44:24
SPEAKER_03: If I was a celebrity, I would do a cognac, obviously.
44:28
SPEAKER_00: I always see Remy Martin.
44:29
SPEAKER_00: I think of uh live in La Vita Loca?
44:32
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, no, something wrong.
44:34
SPEAKER_00: Ricky Martin.
44:37
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so I think of Ricky Martin every time I see Remy Martin.
44:39
SPEAKER_00: I've never ever correlated the two.
44:42
SPEAKER_03: Funny how your brain works.
44:43
SPEAKER_03: Everybody's brain works differently, though, with certain things.
44:45
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, every time I see them, I'm like, oh, it's Ricky Martin's.
44:47
SPEAKER_00: No, that's not the same thing.
44:49
SPEAKER_00: Well, Ricky Martin.
44:49
SPEAKER_00: He'd probably be more into the rum?
44:52
SPEAKER_00: Rum.
44:53
SPEAKER_00: Rum.
44:53
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
44:54
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
44:55
SPEAKER_00: And there's been some rum ones, but there's not a ton of other stuff.
44:59
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
45:00
SPEAKER_00: Which is interesting.
45:01
SPEAKER_00: Very interesting.
45:02
SPEAKER_00: But yeah, if you if you as a listener know of a celebrity endorsed or celebrity-owned, please let us know because we are interested.
45:10
SPEAKER_01: Especially if you know any of them that were there involved.
45:12
SPEAKER_00: Yes.
45:12
SPEAKER_01: Like those those are the ones I'm really interested in.
45:14
SPEAKER_01: I want to know that.
45:16
SPEAKER_03: It's like a little bit more heavily involved.
45:17
SPEAKER_03: He's he's involved in it.
45:18
SPEAKER_03: Well, I have to look at more.
45:19
SPEAKER_03: I'm sure there's more out there.
45:20
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, oh sure.
45:21
SPEAKER_01: There's lots more.
45:22
SPEAKER_01: But I feel like a lot of them are like no name, single release, just white labeling, throw your name on it, kind of things.
45:32
SPEAKER_01: So like that, those are the ones I'm not super interested in trying those.
45:36
SPEAKER_01: I want to know about them so I can shit on them.
45:38
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but we'll try it.
45:39
SPEAKER_01: We'll try it.
45:40
SPEAKER_01: But everything's worth trying to watch.
45:47
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I don't think he's super involved in it.
45:49
SPEAKER_01: He's sort of the name in a few songs, and it's always like involved in stuff.
45:53
SPEAKER_01: But I don't think like he's involved in the manufacturing process or the the choosing or anything like that.
45:59
SPEAKER_01: It's just kind of his brand kind of thing.
46:02
SPEAKER_01: It's a money grab.
46:03
SPEAKER_01: I think it's I think it's fairly good tequila.
46:04
SPEAKER_01: Like I've heard it's I've heard it's good as far as tequila goes, but I mean it's like cabo wabbo.
46:09
SPEAKER_03: That was good tequila.
46:10
SPEAKER_03: It is good tequila, but that was Jimmy Buffett.
46:13
SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
46:14
SPEAKER_03: Jimmy Buffett Clooney's.
46:15
SPEAKER_03: I don't know what Clooney's had a wall.
46:16
SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
46:17
SPEAKER_01: He had a tequila.
46:18
SPEAKER_01: He does have a tequila.
46:19
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, cabo wabbo, I'm pretty sure it was Jimmy Buffett.
46:22
SPEAKER_03: Well, Google it.
46:23
SPEAKER_03: Google Cambo Wabbo.
46:24
SPEAKER_03: That's actually pretty good.
46:25
SPEAKER_03: They're Rapusado, not bad.
46:27
SPEAKER_03: I mean, it's all good, but it's decently priced.
46:31
SPEAKER_03: I thought for sure that was Jimmy Buffett.
46:34
SPEAKER_03: Casamigos.
46:37
SPEAKER_00: Cloonies.
46:38
SPEAKER_00: Cloonies, yeah.
46:39
SPEAKER_03: Well, did you Google Cambo Wabbo?
46:41
SPEAKER_03: No, I've Google that one now, and I gotta know.
46:43
SPEAKER_03: Was that was that Bib Buffett's?
46:45
SPEAKER_03: Buffett's is uh well he's dead now, but uh well I think he owned at least one tequila, if not more other things.
46:53
SPEAKER_03: Sammy Hagar.
46:55
SPEAKER_03: Who does what?
46:55
SPEAKER_00: Cabo Wabbo, Sammy Hagar.
46:57
SPEAKER_03: Sammy Hagar?
46:58
SPEAKER_00: Okay, yeah.
46:59
SPEAKER_00: Founded by Sammy Hagar.
47:04
SPEAKER_03: Close, but no cigar.
47:06
SPEAKER_03: I can't even think of a Sammy Hagar song right now.
47:09
SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
47:10
SPEAKER_00: I have no idea.
47:12
SPEAKER_03: Well, I didn't think that was Jimmy Buffett.
47:14
SPEAKER_03: Anyway, Cabo Wabbo is good though.
47:16
SPEAKER_01: Margaritaville is Jimmy Wabit.
47:18
SPEAKER_03: That makes sense.
47:19
SPEAKER_03: Now you say it, yeah.
47:20
SPEAKER_03: I used to drink a lot of rolling rock.
47:23
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, nobody ever talks about rolling rock.
47:25
SPEAKER_03: The beer.
47:26
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
47:26
SPEAKER_03: I used to drink that quite a bit.
47:27
SPEAKER_03: I had a rolling rock shirt.
47:28
SPEAKER_03: I drank so much of it, they gave me a shirt.
47:30
SPEAKER_03: It's a free shirt.
47:32
SPEAKER_03: Isn't that funny?
47:34
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
47:34
SPEAKER_00: They're like, dang, this Chris Hubac is drinking a lot of our streets.
47:38
SPEAKER_03: He drinks a lot of rolling rock.
47:39
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, uh, rolling rock at Heineken, they're kind of a similar type of type of beer.
47:44
SPEAKER_03: I can see that.
47:44
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, they're very similar.
47:46
SPEAKER_03: Nobody ever talks about drinking rolling rock.
47:48
SPEAKER_03: No, it's just I liked it.
47:50
SPEAKER_03: It's a very local beer.
47:52
SPEAKER_00: I don't think it's very like it's Budweiser.
47:55
SPEAKER_00: But I think it's very like popularized.
47:56
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's not very popular.
47:57
SPEAKER_00: It's not as popular.
47:58
SPEAKER_00: It's more of a local thing.
48:00
SPEAKER_00: Like if you're local, you'll drink Rolling Rock.
48:03
SPEAKER_03: But it's nice to have a brand that people don't really, you know, you don't see that often.
48:07
SPEAKER_01: It's good to have a less known brand.
48:09
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
48:09
SPEAKER_01: So I'm a my beer choice is Core's original banquet beer.
48:13
SPEAKER_01: It's a banquet.
48:13
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
48:14
SPEAKER_01: Banquet beer.
48:14
SPEAKER_01: In the bottom with the bottle, yeah.
48:16
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
48:16
SPEAKER_01: Stuff's good.
48:17
SPEAKER_01: It's a little thick.
48:17
SPEAKER_01: It's a little thick.
48:18
SPEAKER_01: See, I but that's the that's my problem with don't like the flavor of light beers.
48:23
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
48:23
SPEAKER_01: So if I want a beer, I want a Budweiser.
48:26
SPEAKER_01: I want a Kor original.
48:27
SPEAKER_03: I like a Bud Heavy.
48:28
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, Bud Heavy.
48:29
SPEAKER_01: I want a Yingling original.
48:30
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, like I want to do.
48:31
SPEAKER_00: I used to go through cases of Yingling.
48:33
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you and I went through a lot of Yinglings.
48:35
SPEAKER_01: And black and tans.
48:36
SPEAKER_01: I don't want ying, I don't want Bud Light.
48:38
SPEAKER_03: I don't want Miller Light.
48:39
SPEAKER_03: I never want the light beer, but uh the problem is I like to drink beer.
48:43
SPEAKER_03: So like I'll drink 12 beers and they're like butt it's like 12 butt heavies.
48:47
SPEAKER_03: You know, you're like, I'm gonna burst out of these pants.
48:51
SPEAKER_03: Like my stomach is huge.
48:52
SPEAKER_03: I'm so swollen up.
48:53
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
48:54
SPEAKER_03: Because I also will eat while I drink, you know what I mean.
48:57
SPEAKER_03: You ever done the cycle at a baseball game?
48:59
SPEAKER_03: Oh, yeah.
49:00
SPEAKER_03: We call it the cycle.
49:01
SPEAKER_00: You've talked about this.
49:02
SPEAKER_00: I would I would be interested if if you and I could do beers, I'd be interested.
49:06
SPEAKER_03: I'll do it one of these days.
49:07
SPEAKER_03: I'll do it just for that.
49:07
SPEAKER_03: I'll come out of retirement to do it for that.
49:09
SPEAKER_03: But you have one dog and a beer every inning.
49:13
unknown: Okay.
49:14
SPEAKER_03: And I don't mean like up and down one.
49:16
SPEAKER_03: I mean like one up, one down, one up, one down.
49:19
SPEAKER_03: So you're technically not having nine, you're having 18.
49:22
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
49:22
SPEAKER_03: 18 beers, 18 dogs.
49:24
SPEAKER_03: If you can make go on a dime with dog night now, if you go on like overtime, that's that's your call.
49:31
SPEAKER_03: You know what I mean?
49:32
SPEAKER_03: But because that's I'm not asking anybody to do that, but it sounds doable.
49:37
SPEAKER_03: You get into like the seventh inning stretch, and you're like, Jesus, you know, like, oh man, I don't think I can if you even make it that far.
49:44
SPEAKER_03: If you even because it goes quicker than you think.
49:46
SPEAKER_03: Oh, yeah.
49:47
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
49:47
SPEAKER_03: If you have a good pitcher or something, you could be rolling.
49:49
SPEAKER_03: But you got to remember, like, it's only a couple hours that again, you know what I mean?
49:53
SPEAKER_01: You're it was easier a couple years ago when games were three hours long, and so they added the pitch clock and stuff.
50:00
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and they and they question those.
50:01
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and they question the call.
50:03
SPEAKER_01: You're back down to about two hours now for a game versus the three or you know, three and a half that it was hitting there for a while.
50:10
SPEAKER_01: But adding the pitch clock and stuff, now you're you're back down to about two hours.
50:15
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, we used to do it.
50:16
SPEAKER_03: We used to do it quite a bit.
50:17
SPEAKER_03: Now I've never actually made it to full.
50:19
SPEAKER_00: Are we doing heavy or we're doing light beers?
50:22
SPEAKER_00: But you have to have a beer and a doll.
50:24
SPEAKER_00: I do bush like bush latte.
50:26
SPEAKER_03: Because after a while, that that the bun and everything like it will catch up with.
50:30
SPEAKER_03: Oh, the carbonation.
50:31
SPEAKER_03: It will catch up with the carbonate, like you'll be surprised it'll catch up with and actually you what's funny is you could drink 24 beers and not have a buzz.
50:37
SPEAKER_03: But when you do it at a ball game, you start feeling it for whatever reason.
50:42
SPEAKER_03: I'm not sure what it is.
50:43
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I don't know what it is, but I feel like I'd start dunking my hot dog in the beer just to try to get it down.
50:48
SPEAKER_03: The trick, the trick is the trick, I've done this enough to know.
50:52
SPEAKER_03: The trick is you have to order you were like four at a time.
50:55
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
50:55
SPEAKER_03: Because you don't want to keep getting up and getting down, getting up and getting down.
50:58
SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
50:59
SPEAKER_01: Hell, anything would be over before you're out of line.
51:01
SPEAKER_00: Wait, if I order four at a time, can I get all four beers down or do I have to save it?
51:06
SPEAKER_00: You could, but I mean it's better to trust me.
51:08
SPEAKER_03: I've tried that two.
51:10
SPEAKER_03: You're better to space, you're better to space it out.
51:13
SPEAKER_03: The other thing is usually if you get four beer, you start out with four and four.
51:18
SPEAKER_03: And if you're gonna doing that, you have to go with you have to go with the bottles or the cans or whatever because you don't want to walk with the empty because I've done this.
51:24
SPEAKER_03: But the trick is while you're eating, while you with you have four basically chance, like before you you flag somebody down and you get a few more beers from the guy that's walking around, hot dogs, beers.
51:35
SPEAKER_03: You get a couple more dogs and a couple more.
51:36
SPEAKER_03: No, we are not getting up and down.
51:38
SPEAKER_03: You are gonna have to get up and down a couple times because A, you have to pee.
51:41
SPEAKER_00: Right.
51:42
SPEAKER_03: And B, you'll have to get more at some point.
51:44
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, but it it's you can also do this at home, but it's more fun there, obviously.
51:48
SPEAKER_03: And dime a dog night would be the way to go because you could get all could probably get all 18 uh dogs for what's that two bucks.
51:54
SPEAKER_03: Two bucks, buck eighty, yeah.
51:56
SPEAKER_03: And then you just have to worry about the beer.
51:58
SPEAKER_03: So when's the next diamond dog night?
52:00
SPEAKER_03: Every Tuesday at Clippers.
52:01
SPEAKER_03: Now, here's my thing.
52:03
SPEAKER_03: Here's the rules, though.
52:04
SPEAKER_03: So what are the rules?
52:05
SPEAKER_03: Some people get a little bit laxed.
52:07
SPEAKER_03: Well, well, I'll make it up.
52:08
SPEAKER_03: There is no making it up.
52:10
SPEAKER_03: If you can't get the dog and the beer down before the inning's over, unless you want to chug it.
52:15
SPEAKER_03: If you can't get it down, you're done.
52:17
SPEAKER_03: You're out.
52:17
SPEAKER_03: You can keep going if you want, but you're out.
52:19
SPEAKER_03: You're not because there's there's times where they're like, Oh, I have a little bit left.
52:22
SPEAKER_03: I'll finish that and start this other one in this.
52:25
SPEAKER_03: No, nope.
52:26
SPEAKER_03: If you didn't get it down, you can now you can chug it if you want, but if it's not down, it's not down.
52:31
SPEAKER_00: I may be crazy.
52:33
SPEAKER_00: I feel like it's been a long time since I've been to a baseball game, but I feel like it's the innings are long enough that you could.
52:39
SPEAKER_03: You think it depends on uh like I said, if you got a good pitcher, sometimes you get a three up and three down, yeah.
52:45
SPEAKER_03: Like really quick.
52:45
SPEAKER_03: You're gonna double play.
52:47
SPEAKER_03: If we're going to a quick double play, I mean, all of a sudden you're like, shit, we have one more out, and I got a whole dog and a whole beer, and I'm feeling it.
52:55
SPEAKER_03: You know what I mean?
52:56
SPEAKER_00: Like, I'm I'm not, I'm not, I'm thinking like slow baseball terms, not like the random, yeah.
53:02
SPEAKER_03: Sometimes it's three a double play, and I mean you you can be back out in a minute turnaround, you know what I mean?
53:07
SPEAKER_01: It is a clippers game, like if you're going that route, like those endings go fast.
53:12
SPEAKER_01: Oh, clippers clippers go way quicker than major league, yeah.
53:14
SPEAKER_01: And so because it's because they're not as good.
53:16
SPEAKER_01: So it's just like it's just the well and it's not a bad thing.
53:19
SPEAKER_01: You're not major league.
53:19
SPEAKER_03: Look, as as a long, as a lifelong baseball fanatic, really, I I can tell you that uh I've seen my fair share of major league, minor league, uh, you know, all the way triple A, double A, obviously.
53:31
SPEAKER_03: Sometimes you get a way better game from a minor league team than you do from a major league.
53:36
SPEAKER_01: I love a Clippers game, man.
53:37
SPEAKER_01: I like Clippers.
53:38
SPEAKER_01: I went there, I was there like three, four weeks ago.
53:41
SPEAKER_01: I saw a game, and it was like my tickets were 20 bucks, and I was like row eight right beside first base.
53:48
SPEAKER_01: Dude, you can get on it.
53:50
SPEAKER_03: And if you've ever been to a major league baseball game, you're like, this is I'm too damn far away.
53:54
SPEAKER_03: Like, I might as well be at home watching a game.
53:56
SPEAKER_03: But a Clippers game, yeah, you can get right up on it.
53:59
SPEAKER_03: The sights sound smell.
54:01
SPEAKER_03: I mean, it's great.
54:02
SPEAKER_01: And like, and I'm a I'm a Guardians fan.
54:04
SPEAKER_01: I like it, I like uh major league stuff.
54:06
SPEAKER_01: So, like a lot of those players at for Clippers here are all in the game.
54:10
SPEAKER_03: They go up and down, up and down, up and down.
54:12
SPEAKER_03: So, like, you know, so you'll see them.
54:13
SPEAKER_03: I'll tell you what I don't like about it, and and again, and you call me a grumpy, but I I really can't stand it.
54:19
SPEAKER_03: You get some with the majors, not as much.
54:21
SPEAKER_03: I don't like the gimmicky crap in between the innings, and I get that they're trying to bring kids in and they want to have a good time and families and stuff.
54:28
SPEAKER_03: Look, I am serious when it comes to baseball.
54:30
SPEAKER_03: I don't need to see you, some dude, chase the freaking mascot around and some announcer being way too loud on that thing.
54:36
SPEAKER_03: Like, I want I'm here for baseball, can have a little bit, but they overdo it with those minor league teams.
54:42
SPEAKER_03: So I'm assuming you're not a fan of banana ball.
54:44
SPEAKER_03: No, I don't, dude, I don't play around with baseball.
54:46
SPEAKER_01: I'm serious when it comes to baseball, I take it seriously.
54:49
SPEAKER_01: There's different rules.
54:50
SPEAKER_01: I'm going to a banana ball sh game here in a few uh I think sometime in July, maybe.
54:56
SPEAKER_01: I forget when it is.
54:57
SPEAKER_01: But if you know if you know that going and going, you might enjoy it.
55:01
SPEAKER_01: And like I've watched a few games on TV, which is awful.
55:05

SPEAKER_01: It's not sportsmen.
55:09
SPEAKER_01: It's it's it's weird to see people doing backflips to catch a ball in like a serious sports game.
55:15
SPEAKER_01: Globe trauma for baseball.
55:16
SPEAKER_01: That's all it really is, yeah.
55:18
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but there's different rules for it.
55:19
SPEAKER_01: Like they've they've created new games.
55:21
SPEAKER_01: It's it's Disney on ice.
55:22
SPEAKER_01: That's what it is.

SPEAKER_01: It's kind of interesting.
55:25
SPEAKER_01: I just don't like it.
55:27
SPEAKER_01: It's Disney on ice.
55:28
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but uh, I'm excited to see it live because I think it will be kind of fun.
55:32
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, uh, but I know going in it's not a baseball game.
55:34
SPEAKER_03: You know, going as long as you know going in and you're okay with it.
55:36
SPEAKER_03: I would not go to one because I don't want to mix something that I actually take seriously with some.
55:42
SPEAKER_01: It's weird to watch an umpire dance.
55:44
SPEAKER_03: It's an odd thing.
55:45
SPEAKER_03: It's odd.
55:45
SPEAKER_03: But but you get what I mean?
55:46

SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
55:58
SPEAKER_00: Is uh is Disney on ice the uh the globetrotters for hockey?

56:06
SPEAKER_03: I just think it's a it's it's funny.
56:08
SPEAKER_03: It was like it's like space balls too.
56:10
SPEAKER_03: They always talk about C Hitler on ice.
56:14
SPEAKER_03: That always kills me that part.
56:17
SPEAKER_03: Apparently they're making another space balls or whatever, but it's that but you remember that at the end, like space balls too, and they're like C, whatever I can't remember on oh yeah, choose in space.

SPEAKER_03: Every single one.
57:14
SPEAKER_01: I don't think Mel Brooks has a has a bottle at all.
57:16
SPEAKER_01: No, that would be great.
57:17
SPEAKER_01: That would be cool.

SPEAKER_01: That would be great.
57:18
SPEAKER_01: I don't know what I don't know what it would be.
