- 0:33I'm still a little bump in my to do it quicker.
- 0:39Three, two, one. Welcome back to a hamster with a
- 0:43blunt, penknife the Doctor Who Coventry podcast I'm Mark.
- 0:48And I'm joined today by Luke from Lost on Gallifrey podcast.
- 0:52Hello. And Joe from this one car.
- 0:59That's the where the flood and we are watching the talents of
- 1:05winch, I an, which episode we're on to episode three.
- 1:10Yeah, that's it. No, no.
- 1:12It's still going well at least but we've got some question.
- 1:15We've got questions of every last episode are in towards
- 1:18becoming a big finish podcast. Yeah, no big finish this
- 1:21episode. Okay, let's get back on track
- 1:23with some questions. Yes, yes.
- 1:26Well attention hog. Fraser Gregory has a question
- 1:29for us here. What is it?
- 1:31About Louise Jameson that makes her the best actor with ever had
- 1:36in Doctor Who That's more like a statement.
- 1:39Well, I I wouldn't have said that a while back, but watching
- 1:44a lot of these her stories again.
- 1:47Yeah, I think she is one of the best actors from Doctor Who she
- 1:52really does have that. And there's something about
- 1:56winches the way that she portrays Lila, so consistently
- 2:01as the script allows throughout. Yeah, well, I don't know what it
- 2:07is about her, but Definitely is. She definitely has you with
- 2:11Sarah, Jane. Elizabeth sladen is amazing, but
- 2:13it's a different style of acting a different kind.
- 2:17She's always - later. She and personality.
- 2:21Yeah, there's so little character but she's caught up in
- 2:24your personality, interesting character.
- 2:27Maybe that's what it is. You know what Tom Baker said on
- 2:29that documentary about how like a pet because you know Louise
- 2:32Jefferson said he was famously a grumpy asshole with a and she
- 2:36didn't like it at all but he said no, he was Was intimidated
- 2:38by how good she was and how horrible she was.
- 2:41They probably saw a coming along of all, I'm just going to
- 2:44faintest interest because she's a better actor than me.
- 2:47Yeah, I know other stuff as well.
- 2:48She's brilliant. She brings I know, we weren't
- 2:52gonna see a big finish but in some other big finish stuff in
- 2:54bit. Her role in survivors the big
- 2:56finish series. She does some amazing scenes in
- 2:59that, absolutely brilliant. So yes.
- 3:02I think she is, I agree. Yeah, I agree with Mark.
- 3:06Like I don't think it's something I really Just the
- 3:08first time around, but the more you come back to it, she's got
- 3:12such a grasp of the character that it seems Inseparable
- 3:18between Lila and Louise Jameson. That's how good of an actor, she
- 3:22is that you just can't imagine anyone ever playing that part
- 3:26again. Apart from her.
- 3:28And yeah, it's like, she keeps it up on big finish as well.
- 3:32And regardless of story quality, she's one of those Doctor Who
- 3:36actors. Yeah.
- 3:38Regardless of story quality, there's always something worth
- 3:41watching, Italy, those there. She says that she this sounds
- 3:47weird, but she noticed like was had a dog.
- 3:51She said that, she based the characters and I no way.
- 3:53Yeah, those are dog was always like, observing always watching
- 3:57and figuring out situation. So like she was saying, she's
- 4:00never stupid, but she's uneducated.
- 4:03So she always made her smart. But I did you get and that's not
- 4:06an easy mix because Patrick comes across as both very clever
- 4:10and utterly stupid and Thick at the same time, you know?
- 4:14And you can see it in her eyes though.
- 4:16Like constantly, she's learning, and she's soaking it in.
- 4:21And I'm assuming you've probably met her, but she is so nice as
- 4:25well. She's one of the nicest people.
- 4:27I've met she put on a charity Doctor Who of Enright and Bryson
- 4:32where she managed to. Tom Baker was the big draw.
- 4:35But it was one of these small ones where you get to spend a
- 4:36lot of time with people. So you came along.
- 4:39You don't even that expensive. I don't think and that the list
- 4:42of actors when you have brittle Baker, Sarah Sutton.
- 4:46And you just got to spend the whole day with them.
- 4:48It was the most incredible thing.
- 4:50She's lovely. Yeah, I didn't realize it was a
- 4:52thing in Cardiff. It was coffee with Louise
- 4:54Jameson. There's like four of us and we
- 4:56just sat down and just had a cat for an hour.
- 5:08And she just talked about, I just go ask her anything and she
- 5:11loved those things. Like, I don't think I could do
- 5:15it to myself. Like I'm Phi goes to Convention
- 5:18but I think I would find that too much but you just sit down,
- 5:21just listen to her. It was secretly.
- 5:23They are so. Bloody, where was it called at?
- 5:25MIT that war place. Oh, Milne.
- 5:29Abby. Mills or something to mining
- 5:32with a neighbor's person. We didn't know they were going
- 5:34to turn off. This is the one at the pub.
- 5:36We were just sitting around hoping she Going to turn up.
- 5:42Yeah, I'd like to. Okay, well, my next question is,
- 5:46so the, when they change your eye color, there's no because
- 5:53they're made of what was for her though, but why do they make
- 5:56away contacts in the first place?
- 5:57I don't know. But then I think I watched I
- 6:03would have watched like robots of death or talons as like one
- 6:06of the first leader stories and then I Aw, like, Summit much
- 6:10later on, like invasions harness like what?
- 6:12She looks completely different, the older eyes.
- 6:14So blue though, aren't they? So different, she doesn't use
- 6:18and they sort of change her concert as well a little bit in
- 6:21the basement time. It's that she has a different
- 6:23sort of face of Evil costume thing.
- 6:24That's a bit of an outdated thing is that she had to have
- 6:27brown eyes. Yeah, it's is obviously I love
- 6:32you have rocks. Can listen to this.
- 6:33Looks don't worry. Is she fanciable Louise Jameson?
- 6:38Oh yeah as a kid. Yeah I think it will pass not.
- 6:41Oh no I mean like as a kid you know go for the teenage years.
- 6:50I don't make a difference. I genuinely doesn't make a
- 6:53difference as long as I thought, eyes are out.
- 6:55Yeah, okay, next question, is on a lighter note, from Joe short,
- 7:00this is, oh yeah, at the brain of Spock, it was coming on
- 7:04Stewart asleep, no more commentary.
- 7:06I mean, I'd like that bold and are lighter note which other Duo
- 7:10apart from Jacob and lightford should have their own spin-off
- 7:13series and why is the only answer Miss Hawthorne and Benton
- 7:19what's up? I stood right there we sort of
- 7:22said but I think every there's so many there's so many options.
- 7:25I know I'm going to like the episodes.
- 7:28I would like some of my favorites and today.
- 7:34What? Like Jeff and the eleventh hour
- 7:36and the moxx of balhoon. What those two together?
- 7:40Yeah. That takes some doing to bring
- 7:44them together was thinking of someone something like a and
- 7:47chou-heung. Well yeah I mean back.
- 7:49I hopefully there will be a return in a own big finish
- 7:53series. It's got me some we'll figure
- 7:55something really obscure. I know.
- 7:56Yeah. Like making make silly and sound
- 8:00silly. You know who else has spot?
- 8:07Because that's how many times she watched things like,
- 8:09especially on podcast and stuff and you go well, big finish,
- 8:12something a spin-off of that. So I think it is, I don't know.
- 8:14Do my thing Thorn is up there, I mean she did do the white which
- 8:18you Devils end. I mean, let's not Talk about
- 8:20that DVD relates coming Mom. Let's no, let's let that stew.
- 8:28Shall we throughout the episode? I'll come back to it.
- 8:29The end. Okay.
- 8:31Yeah. I'm both some good odds as all
- 8:32right. You got 25 minutes to think
- 8:34about it. That's God.
- 8:35I for, I forgot we're watching. Are you ready?
- 8:41Yeah. Okay.
- 8:44Okay, sorry. They're quite quickly.
- 8:47They didn't know sometimes. I'm going quickly right?
- 8:51Mr. Sin is advancing on Lila and yes this will either goes to the
- 8:54window God and fabulous it in. Slow motion.
- 8:58Yeah. Yeah.
- 8:59A little bit David Maloney. Loved a bit of slow motion.
- 9:03We haven't even mentioned David Freese throws.
- 9:06Yeah, he is the best. What's your best friend's face?
- 9:09It Sarah, go down below. Its sorry, Genesis hands down.
- 9:14Absolutely, that was so shocked. What okay, if I go, oh my God
- 9:17you could have done this, you can do mr.
- 9:19Singh, come through Lila. Through Freeze Frame.
- 9:21And that's the end of the episode just halfway through the
- 9:23win. But I'll freeze gracious.
- 9:30They just need to bring them back or even when Lila has
- 9:32attacked by the right. It could be like, sort of she
- 9:35could be like, screaming, like driving around, and then you
- 9:37freeze frame. That would be cool, but can't
- 9:39see, right? I like the fact, that's why the
- 9:49she's not stupid enough to take him on.
- 9:53She's like, no, I'm out of it. Yeah.
- 9:58But you know what? They like a bit of that.
- 10:00So I've got a knife in his neck and he robots are deaf.
- 10:03They were stabbing bloody needles in the robots head.
- 10:05So I suppose he's got a knife but she could just sort of pick
- 10:07him up and do what they do at the end of the story and just
- 10:09sort of Spin and Rounders. Ha ha.
- 10:19Oh dear Frost is anymore own because they had see the
- 10:23costume, the dean right wall, but there was an actual Dole
- 10:27made up as well. I just that's just in someone's
- 10:30abandoned Loft somewhere still got that.
- 10:33Can I why you said this was? An X-Files was his most Sinister
- 10:37rolls out. There we go.
- 10:38There's the word though. Troy.
- 10:47Yeah, yeah. Yeah.
- 10:51Okay, just look at it. So media, they look alike and
- 10:54everything. I mean, it's still got the knife
- 10:56in his neck, but God's he just couldn't have been bothered as
- 11:03much as we are. Now about knives and knife crime
- 11:05stuff like that. No, they would they wouldn't
- 11:08touch it nowadays with day. But classic who's got a lot of
- 11:10noise noise play going. I actually do know if it was
- 11:12Barry Letts, he would not have any of this.
- 11:15This Barry Letts would not make this program.
- 11:18He wouldn't Violence, isn't it?
- 11:33I just it a horror in general it's always possession or it's
- 11:37the stuff that gets under your skin is visualized as violent
- 11:40as. Yeah.
- 11:40Let's said he did the beginning of Android Invasion weather unit
- 11:44guy jumps off the, into the Quarry.
- 11:47Yeah, Barry. Let's said in his day, he
- 11:49wouldn't have done that. As producer yet.
- 11:52An auton man. Go right down the bottom of a
- 11:54quarry. Then, get up and come back up
- 11:55again. I'm not so scary.
- 11:58It's really scary because he seems indestructible because he
- 12:00gets up straight away. That's what's scary about, look
- 12:06at life. I want to live in like this
- 12:11house. I want to live in this, you know
- 12:13what, they do living rooms and things like that.
- 12:16So, well, during the also Vivian face house, In Stones the
- 12:20plants? Yeah, they do sort of domestic
- 12:22settings. Yeah, the less said about
- 12:25canine, accompany the better. I mean even the even the
- 12:31cabinet, the cabinet is Lovely, isn't it?
- 12:34I'm this, but I mean, I wouldn't have it in my house but it fits
- 12:38in that house. Jill, the fun.
- 12:40It is lying in this episode. It is this where he goes well
- 12:43that gun might go off in your face.
- 12:44He goes impossible, it was made in Birmingham.
- 12:51See you later. You will live in the doctor of
- 12:54like very separate stories for this, don't they?
- 12:57Yeah, well, just then they go to the theater together.
- 12:59Later dunno, which is lovely. That's that's my favorite bit,
- 13:02episode 4 with all the theaters. So if you like a magic show, you
- 13:05get a magic show in news. Exactly.
- 13:07I love it and just because it's a magic show, but with the
- 13:11showdown, between the doctor and Chang at the same time,
- 13:14brilliant stuff. Well, I love it when she's sick
- 13:17and she goes just to give the responses.
- 13:21It's not compulsory But they're all, there's a lot of scenes
- 13:27with no dialogue in this as well and that takes a good director
- 13:30to keep the interest up like oh look at this.
- 13:35I'm straight. David Maloney's.
- 13:37Last was as well you know he's skipped off the Blake's 7 after
- 13:40this juice it's 04 lat. I think it's worth noting that
- 13:47Blake 7 regularly, Druid 8 to 10 million viewers a week even if
- 13:51it's not to our taste. Oh no.
- 13:53Oh no. You got me stuck to a fans D,
- 13:56really like like seven it's just not love it.
- 13:59So glad. Oh my God.
- 14:02They were mine. I felt them die.
- 14:05Sorry, she's mellowed Rocky. So this is me, it's David
- 14:10Maloney, the best director that because obviously this you've
- 14:13got, your dog has come Fields. You got your Graham, Harper's
- 14:16definitely up there. Those are like the top three,
- 14:19and then you've got your pennant Roberts, Peter greenaway, decide
- 14:25when way is great, I think Graham Harper.
- 14:29Yeah. Yeah, great mop is definitely a
- 14:33great show and survival and Ghostlight.
- 14:36They have terrific you direct it.
- 14:39Yeah they're good. They're not up there with your
- 14:42first day in space and how poor Bernard.
- 14:50Yeah he loved azumed. Are you kidding cameras?
- 14:53He loved. There's nothing wrong with
- 14:54Frontier of space. Thank you very much.
- 14:59Wow. Who directed that David on
- 15:03exceeded. Those are so flattering space.
- 15:04Yeah, interests and time. We'll stir and timer is terrible
- 15:07direct. But he learnt a lot from there.
- 15:09The Dalek Daleks that's coming out next week.
- 15:13I think it's awful. You stick to our side of it.
- 15:19All right. What an episode where do you
- 15:25want to start? Are we going to do this right
- 15:27now? Okay.
- 15:30Where'd you get the Exile? I love about the split in the
- 15:38most fantastic way. You can't just fix everything.
- 15:41Like you fix your bow tie and then there is straightening his
- 15:44bow ties. Been very good.
- 15:45Fantastic does not work like that, but that is my problem and
- 15:55that was the promotion of it. If you guys my head, Wait, turn
- 15:59up the contrast an awful lot. You can see every doll know, I
- 16:03know that was that was the only bit of like that but then you
- 16:05sort of get it in the Magician's, Apprentice not all.
- 16:08Excuse me, what a crock of shit, the Daleks have a government
- 16:13now, do they? Well I don't see the issue that
- 16:15it's, it's something it's not, okay, it's not the best idea
- 16:20that, but it's something new. It's not just like, like that as
- 16:23a concession. Thank you very much more Daleks.
- 16:27Now, look, the doctor. A lot for a drawn on a
- 16:29tablecloth. We got some lovely footage in a
- 16:33minute. Okay, I'm on a boat going up
- 16:35with Tim's. It's very nice.
- 16:38He goes and then or and then we'll see.
- 16:43I mean Tom Baker's cost you. It's amazing.
- 16:47But I wouldn't have wanted it to go any further than this
- 16:50episode. Yeah.
- 16:51Really like it's a one-off but a lot of layers in it must be
- 16:54quite warm. I've just noticed his gloves,
- 16:56never know, and I feel like life is going for sort of a Time.
- 17:00Lord style collar. There is it is actually it's
- 17:04vars. I saw there.
- 17:07Yeah, we watched The other day of mr.
- 17:08Blobby going to Alan Carr, right?
- 17:11And he goes Lobby. No, don't watch out for miming
- 17:15Vols and it smashes it to Pieces.
- 17:18I'm so sorry. I need to shut up.
- 17:20Let's talk. Okay.
- 17:24Go like for Blobby. So using that song Blobby Blobby
- 17:32get back on track to have lobbied cover long.
- 17:36Is that ever also have been scarier both blogs?
- 17:42Good episode Creature from the pair and that Dad beep.
- 17:46Lobbyists it's like ah it's okay.
- 17:49So this is the sequence with our look at that.
- 17:52Well she's cantar Dax. I want to put me plates up for a
- 17:55few hours Savvy. It's filled on.
- 17:57K ship, but it looks so Victoria.
- 18:00Yeah. That.
- 18:01But my point is, this is a hooker in Doctor Who Yeah.
- 18:05Well maybe once a kisser G, it is fairly explicit.
- 18:09We basically get a pocket, she's just on a nice work and its
- 18:13first thing in the morning. Yeah.
- 18:15But you're not watching kids in the seventies, going by the way,
- 18:17kids. She's just another lie saying
- 18:20that are you who I think is fairly explicit that she's a
- 18:22prostitute and that's the whole point.
- 18:25That's the Jack. The Ripper thing, isn't it?
- 18:27Yeah, he's great. And he's so Sinister here.
- 18:31Yeah, that's why this outfit Chang's outfit, surveys,
- 18:34despicable, ciao. Has other item of doing the
- 18:36exercise of the canceled. It's hard not to though the
- 18:41lines are so quotable. But it's worth saying that if a
- 18:45Chinese person was saying those lines, that would be a
- 18:47similarity in the accent. Like, I've dated a Chinese
- 18:51person and they sounded very, like, Chang in this story.
- 18:55Okay. Yeah.
- 18:58Although admittedly, he did ask me to turn this off before the
- 19:01end of episode 1, which I dutifully did.
- 19:07Did you know the story about the sports car?
- 19:10Oh, didn't they put a big tarpaulin over something?
- 19:13I've only and a load of straw. Yeah, it's that low.
- 19:16You can you just can't unsee it but, you know, the car there.
- 19:19Apparently everyone on the street was taking pictures
- 19:21because I thought this car was so ugly.
- 19:23They were waiting for them to come back so I look what the BBC
- 19:26did to your car while you're away.
- 19:32Okay, so I see you just following the protein, I wasn't
- 19:35sure and this is. How does he not see it?
- 19:38This is the real stuff. Oh my God, a spin-off.
- 19:43These two cleaning, ladies, the cleaning ladies and school.
- 20:00I do the cleaning and stuff for him and then he brings him in
- 20:02he's like, oh yeah. Come on ladies, I've got a job
- 20:05for you. I thought of like the most
- 20:08boring spin-off we could have, we could have Padma Sam before
- 20:11and richly grunts. Great intelligence, it's just
- 20:16very slowly about Universal domination.
- 20:21Watch out. And that as we speak you did do
- 20:25a bit of extra didn't hear, Pablo Sandoval for now.
- 20:30Boy, a lot of time, but didn't service with koi say like yeah,
- 20:37I should have taken that job. I've made a mistake who do, you
- 20:42know? Okay, so now leaders taking the
- 20:44place of the prostitute hasn't shown.
- 20:47Yeah, I think goes this one's got muscles like a horse.
- 20:51See this is where the plot will have to change the girls.
- 20:53The first Doctrine Steven Hager Steven could be a red boy away.
- 21:02Could he be? Jeez.
- 21:04Okay, here we go down there. We can sort of imagine it with
- 21:07six and Perry, but it go. Yeah, but it going far too
- 21:12nasty. Yeah.
- 21:14How we have seven, a mill. Perry would be like, gags and
- 21:17put in that basket. It was absolutely freezing thing
- 21:40from their mouths. Hi we have we talked a lot about
- 21:45Louis Jameson. I was gonna say about Tom Baker.
- 21:47Like if this is most charismatic turn know.
- 21:52Oh, what is I think this is one of his best characterized turns
- 21:59like it on the page. Oh yeah, I think okay say I
- 22:02enjoyed satara. Yes, okay yeah, no I'm listening
- 22:17it causes so much fun in that but it's like the perfect
- 22:19balance of adventurer like it channels a bit of traveling and
- 22:24Is that Bohemian that everyone thinks he is and very fun and
- 22:28it's just a bit serious in. This is me which suits the story
- 22:31fine, but I wouldn't. And, and it's fantastic but it's
- 22:33not one of his most charismatic guy.
- 22:35Sounds gay, some of his witty as lies and the cows just offered
- 22:38me the throne. I love that.
- 22:40I think that's just before he gets too over the top and then
- 22:43he goes all season 18. I don't think we ever get see
- 22:46the same age. That's right.
- 22:47Season 8, know it's silly and season 17 and then season 18,
- 22:51he's completely different as you know, any City in season, eight
- 22:53seven. Wow.
- 22:54Yeah. I'm not a fan of all of that.
- 22:56It's a bit over that, you did. Yeah, yeah.
- 22:59I mean, that's the only that's right, isn't it?
- 23:00But I think it gets a bad rep in a series 18 though.
- 23:03People just say, oh, he's, he's like all sad and grumbling.
- 23:07He's got some it, if you watch his effort.
- 23:09Like, if you watch like full circle and State of Decay and
- 23:12stuff, he's not, and he looks a bit Hiller because he was Ill.
- 23:15Well, I think maybe I did I, there's something yeah.
- 23:19Very, he's very different in season 18.
- 23:21He's not. But maybe it's because you're
- 23:22thinking of a behind-the-scenes stuff.
- 23:24He's not going on with a stick. Maybe that's fixed.
- 23:27Yeah, no. He's could just like, it's not
- 23:31funny. And his scarf killed Stimson
- 23:36arrest, the scarf. Then, that's what is a different
- 23:39tone? Know, there's different time.
- 23:40That's not. There is a different time, but I
- 23:42don't think like, it gets his reputation of being really
- 23:44doubt. What I think in logopolis is,
- 23:46but that's fair, isn't it? I think the logopolis is like,
- 23:51put on the entire series always But yeah, you probably right I
- 23:55think after Tara is the point when he turns he is beautifully
- 23:59characterized here though and he's given so much to do and
- 24:03lots of witty lines. But he's eating out presently.
- 24:06Yeah I think my favorite Tom Baker's series 12 Tom Baker
- 24:09though. I just love season 12 so much.
- 24:14He's kind of dark. I think he's quite serious in
- 24:16that season years but he's so alien, isn't it?
- 24:20And you get that freshness. I think I do really Li like
- 24:24Doctor's first Seasons because they're so fresh.
- 24:27You run. They haven't quite figured out
- 24:29yet. I think get all the first
- 24:31season, I have no one race except me.
- 24:33I love him. I think it benefits the
- 24:35character because the character doesn't really know what they're
- 24:38doing that much or like anyone like the the trout and version
- 24:42of the character, let's just go around the universe.
- 24:45So when the after everything that you try everything and then
- 24:48yeah I wonder what. So after this they had to season
- 24:52break. I think they had six weeks off.
- 24:54I He did and Tom Baker, did celebrity squares or something.
- 24:57And apparently he was quoted as saying I'm going to do one more
- 25:00series of Doctor Who, well, he friend wait pretty much every
- 25:04season now. Maybe I think this is where,
- 25:07after this, you got? Yeah, it's somewhere in season
- 25:0915, I just something. Just go.
- 25:11Something is different. He's very consistent, right up
- 25:14until this point. Yeah, that's right around that
- 25:16time. Maybe it's growing with it, I
- 25:18don't know, there's something all up with.
- 25:19Well, I think, yeah, it's Gotta Be the producer, isn't it?
- 25:22Yeah, that's gonna be a big affair.
- 25:24May I respectfully disagree because I feel that season 16 is
- 25:29probably his most confident year I think he is utterly underrated
- 25:34in the 17 and he still is playing the show as and he's
- 25:37apart from a few moments. I Mark a point at every doctor
- 25:41that has a few moments. Well, I think that's that's what
- 25:45people get wrong about, 3017. It's that, they think he's just
- 25:47a big comical was taking that very seriously when I play in
- 25:51The Comedy are a few moments that?
- 25:55And I think, I mean, I still quite like that.
- 25:58I don't the only one I don't like is the nightmare of Eden
- 26:00bit when he's yeah, that it that is.
- 26:03But then at that point that's when it's all going.
- 26:05It's completely followed up with a bit where he says go away to
- 26:08Tris and he's, I know. Yeah, that's amazing scene.
- 26:12I'm sorry. Back to the prophecy.
- 26:15You take your hands off of me. I'm a lady.
- 26:20What you doing here? I'm sorry, I'm gonna do with the
- 26:23accents. I am genuinely impressed by how
- 26:28much you can quote, not just a talents just of any Doctor Who
- 26:31so it is unbelie-- like watching the show, right?
- 26:34I know meet me to do but like I won't be able to quite like you
- 26:38do. I can do so much.
- 26:39There's certain stories that I know well but not.
- 26:41Yeah. And like, you know, has the
- 26:44story. Could I tell you what?
- 26:46What court that's going to impress, you ready.
- 26:50Someone whose legendary Legend of Maine has battled Which stole
- 26:54the crown heads of Europe. Yeah.
- 26:58Super. Which and buffalo mr.
- 27:00Leeson chakra I would never do. I think some people just come
- 27:11for the quotes. You do not the insightful
- 27:13commentary died and I was Mark like the ones of a really like
- 27:17or watch thousands of times. I would know the small quotes
- 27:20and stuff but not every food he does is just too shy as of do
- 27:26it. I'll sometimes there's just not
- 27:28every story. You can quote Battlefield back
- 27:30to from. Yeah, watch that a lot.
- 27:32Oh, okay. So here's Lila, being attacked
- 27:34by the rat and this is the one time Louise Jameson said, she
- 27:37let herself scream as Lila because she's being chewed by a
- 27:41giant rat. I think that's fair.
- 27:43I think that's fair. So nice cream ones as well.
- 27:51When did I scream? She screamed when Kane put his
- 27:54hands to her face in Dragonfire. She goes like and really
- 27:58screams. Yeah, it's not one.
- 28:01That's what's very many times. I'm a God Perry.
- 28:04Be named by a rat. Oh gosh, she be running down
- 28:09those the any be echoing like all these all these Of the
- 28:21Michael spice. Even if he's not the best
- 28:23character, he's giving a great fall because yeah, obvious as
- 28:26well. He did you do the voice obvious
- 28:29own? I say it.
- 28:30Yeah, it he's or not has more life than I exactly.
- 28:36Great. But like I completely believe in
- 28:39the character. Yeah, the reveal of the makeup
- 28:44is same choice. That Robert home pulls off in
- 28:46case managers, on issue, he wasted the last episode and then
- 28:48the mask gets torn off and you see this hideous disfigurement
- 28:52underneath. I think the only thing I don't
- 28:55believe is there is this massive Butcher of Brisbane but I think
- 28:59that's because in this story is a weekend like suffering Person.
- 29:07But like, I don't look at anything Kyle.
- 29:09He wiped out like Brisbane Brisbane Brisbane do wrong
- 29:20because what is it should have told me.
- 29:23That's what he wanted. I could have shown in Brisbane.
- 29:26Do you think we're going to get a reference to a Nessa and power
- 29:29of the doctor? Oh yes.
- 29:32Yeah that law input boxes and local police.
- 29:35Yes. Have you seen, you know what a
- 29:37little over oh, is this to me? Is a really iconic.
- 29:43Cliff anger. Well, it is quite dark on my
- 29:46screen so I can't really see the right into much detail.
- 29:50I think it's just so when it just really sticks out, you've
- 29:54got Lila run around the corner, a giant rat and the doctor with
- 29:58a gun, a big fat elephant gun. It's just pointing it at that
- 30:02way. And you think Christ's part 3
- 30:04this 3 more to come Well, I'd like to make up for the lack of
- 30:08questions in episode 2. I'm now going to throw a few
- 30:11more at you in episode free if that's okay.
- 30:13But before we do that gentlemen, if you would care to Enlighten
- 30:17us with your pairings spin-off please, I was in the first half
- 30:22of this comment, it's been wearing in the back of a ride
- 30:25that I'm just really stressed about it, the whole podcast and
- 30:31your answer is I my answer is the mate.
- 30:35Blind children. Just block it just just
- 30:39blackmailing companions to take them on trips to the universe.
- 30:42Are you talking about? Angie and I I am so gonna get
- 30:46out and we can bring back. The Warwick Davis is porridge.
- 30:50He can have his little weird things they can blackmail.
- 30:56Just do it for the bump into to take them out.
- 30:58You're gonna better that answer but off you go I can't think of
- 31:01it. I can't think what about the
- 31:02Wi-Fi family? I think I would really give Jim
- 31:20all the balls for that. Like yeah, be sure to watch Matt
- 31:24that random are from even The Darlings, turn up.
- 31:27It was in woman who fell to Earth?
- 31:35Okay, fellas, I got another question for you.
- 31:37I got marks up give a bit of spin off.
- 31:39I don't know. I can't think enough him
- 31:41anyone's these bright adult. I was quite like more stories of
- 31:47Bill and Capaldi at the University like as a serious
- 31:53because that's set in feels like there was so much to mind that
- 31:56we didn't get. Yeah, it's and we just happen to
- 31:58see in their eyes like just yes. Yeah.
- 32:00Just occasion the evil advisor but like Discovery that's just
- 32:04have a bad like threatening to kill everybody all the Jean.
- 32:08Any answers, not at the moment. I'll keep thinking how
- 32:13disappointing? Okay, well Joe Shaw also asks,
- 32:16if this had been in the jna Tiara would he have stunt
- 32:20casted? The Two Ronnies as Jago and
- 32:22light of her life I could see it.
- 32:26Yeah, I think it would be well over lit.
- 32:30It would be the production values would not be amazing.
- 32:34Go see. I think the issue with it, it
- 32:40would be a lot more vulgar like Robert home that this whole
- 32:44production team know how to tread that line so that it
- 32:48stopped her. Whereas as we've been saying
- 32:50you'll get Perry in a bikini to doctors, wouldn't it?
- 32:54Yeah. Some other location somewhere
- 32:57and do it all on location. Bright light.
- 33:00Yes. Stunt casting like yeah, Jacob
- 33:02and Lightfoot would be and with these Saying how they're like
- 33:07good it is that leaders got agency in the doctors, got same
- 33:10pot. He just have like turlough
- 33:11walking around the sewers looking bored.
- 33:15Although you never six doctor just sort of shout in it like
- 33:18that and not really listening to anyone against the police and
- 33:23stuff and just not being. I do Wonder though if J and T as
- 33:26a producer from a minority group, be more tuned in to the
- 33:29races over and say this is not acceptable.
- 33:32What? Interesting?
- 33:33I Fair Point first. Was this, the first story that
- 33:38J&T workers unit production? Yeah, it wasn't involved in your
- 33:43creative. No, not the crazy stuff, but he
- 33:45did work on this. Oh, he couldn't tell us what?
- 33:48Yeah, I also don't want to make it clear that it's not J and T
- 33:51would suddenly do all this stuff.
- 33:54So, that's how that works. I just mean that whole like
- 33:57production, see ya. It was under 80s.
- 34:01Well, the doctor would know exactly Magnus Grill was, and
- 34:05they will have fought in the 51st century and, and that would
- 34:09sort of take a bit away from it as well.
- 34:11I think unique she mentioned before the, it could have been
- 34:14the master, it wasn't nearly that would make this story worse
- 34:18because so much of it is original, or feels original.
- 34:21Anyway, that you say, original is cherry-picked, moving out.
- 34:25Well, I know, I know, but I mean, I'm Doctor, I think having
- 34:28the master in it, it might be a good Master story, but I don't
- 34:31think it's stand out so much. Yeah and well and also in the
- 34:3780s. I've completely forgotten what I
- 34:40was going to say carry on. I'm so sorry.
- 34:42I was gonna say something about the 80s.
- 34:44Yeah. Yeah.
- 34:45In the 80s. We don't really do that.
- 34:47In terms of historical stuff. What you got?
- 34:48Like Mark of the Rani Black Orchid.
- 34:51Black Orchid, the visitation they're okay but I can't really
- 34:55see them doing a very convincing.
- 34:57Victorian things we did here, we can do in the Charleston, the
- 35:02victorians I just wouldn't there be Think about it.
- 35:04Would look like Mark of the Rani and I, that doesn't look great
- 35:07to me. I can't explain it.
- 35:09There's something about that. And here's a special guest star
- 35:12for this episode Sarah hellings direct link in the 80s.
- 35:20It would be the mustard as well. Be the Anthony ainley master and
- 35:24that's a sort of cheap and sit. Yeah, the idea is tasty.
- 35:27They probably would have botched it but the idea is tasty.
- 35:30Yeah, would you like another quick question before we go?
- 35:32Yeah this is from David read. We at him of all Russ says no no
- 35:36no. You said it wrong.
- 35:37See ya, it go at me for this. It's he was all Sorrows
- 35:42surprise. Okay, that's crazy and I was
- 35:46always having to go Mark for pronouncing things wrong.
- 35:49That's a mandragora again. Oh my God say, just walk six.
- 35:54The were so the question is, which is could I ask a question
- 36:00you you made a beam a mine would be.
- 36:03What is the I slide in this story and is it let the talons
- 36:07of Wang Chong Yang, shred your leave.
- 36:13Could It Be? I'm looking at you quote Master.
- 36:22Hey, I would say anything that goes says, all of those lies
- 36:34ahead, but I think that Lila like thought thinner scene just
- 36:38in itself is great over the jegos lines.
- 36:41He's got so Any good. He's turn a phrase.
- 36:44The way is written, is the alliteration.
- 36:46Yeah, that's right, word. Yeah, all of that, I wish the
- 36:50really player on whether we don't legislate this on other
- 36:56mediums. I love it when he says I'm a
- 37:01Nipper where my dad is up but that's just because I'll tell
- 37:06you which one. Do you like cancellation in
- 37:09coming but it's like Chang kill for Chinaman doing this chick
- 37:16flick. It's written.
- 37:21I think that's just its humor but it's also threatened at the
- 37:27same time. We could probably think of
- 37:29Hyundai's a great lines from this, go away, okay?
- 37:32And the very last question as we out, this is from Wicked size,
- 37:37queen at sighs, Wicked asks so if not onions.
- 37:41What would you serve that with these the goal?
- 37:46It's what your service is very memorable, a dead body.
- 37:50Yeah. Probably, what did Brody?
- 37:52It's a dead body? Is she talking about?
- 37:54Oh, that with a lot of work. Sometimes I wouldn't serve that
- 37:59to my rap. Take off me.
- 38:03Where write the script Luke, I can't beat that.
