Transcript
- 0:03Speaker 1: It's a podcast call twenty five wists talking fun ball
- 0:07Speaker 1: and they all went a whist So, yeah, it's too
- 0:10Speaker 1: bad fun What did you expect? It's a podcast call
- 0:14Speaker 1: twenty five whistles twenty wine.
- 0:18Speaker 2: Hello, everybody, Welcome to the show. Eddie Malthus. You know
- 0:23Speaker 2: I can't whistle? Uh, Like, I just that's one I'm like, dude,
- 0:26Speaker 2: I'm a musician. I can play instruments and everything. I
- 0:28Speaker 2: can't whistle. Do you consider yourself a real musician? Not really, no,
- 0:31Speaker 2: but I can. I know a little bit about every instrument,
- 0:34Speaker 2: Like I can probably do a little clarinet.
- 0:37Speaker 3: If I said, don't, I don't think you do clarinet.
- 0:39Speaker 3: Think nah, I think blowing into a horn it's a
- 0:42Speaker 3: whole different skill like trombone.
- 0:44Speaker 2: That's really hard. I think I think you are a musician.
- 0:47Speaker 3: And I think if you live somewhere other than where
- 0:49Speaker 3: you live now, you'd fully say you are a musician.
- 0:51Speaker 3: I think because you're around the great it's hard to
- 0:54Speaker 3: say that because they say that.
- 0:55Speaker 2: That's a good point. Uh.
- 0:56Speaker 3: I got a few things I want to talk about.
- 0:58Speaker 3: We can kind of decide where want to go first.
- 1:00Speaker 3: We could talk about Michael Parsons, what do.
- 1:02Speaker 2: You want to talk about? Well, what would you like
- 1:04Speaker 2: to say? I mean, I would like to say it,
- 1:09Speaker 2: like just guys, relax, like it's it's gonna happen, like
- 1:12Speaker 2: no one. He's not gonna get traded, He's not going anywhere.
- 1:16Speaker 2: This is like how many times do we have to
- 1:18Speaker 2: do this in the off season? Jerry, stop doing this crap?
- 1:21Speaker 2: But but like really the fans need to relax. It's
- 1:24Speaker 2: gonna We're gonna keep Micah like we've been through this
- 1:26Speaker 2: so many times where these negotiations get dirty, people talk stuff,
- 1:30Speaker 2: people delete their Instagram accounts whatever, Like do We've been
- 1:33Speaker 2: doing this for a long long time. Michael sten He's
- 1:36Speaker 2: gonna be a cowboy. They're gonna figure it out. We're
- 1:37Speaker 2: gonna be all right. He did say I no longer
- 1:39Speaker 2: want to be a cowboy. That's it. That's just a tactic.
- 1:41Speaker 2: It's just it's like Jerry said, like this is just
- 1:45Speaker 2: negotiation tactics. Guys, Relax.
- 1:47Speaker 3: I'm gonna read you some of what Michael Parsons wrote.
- 1:51Speaker 2: Yes, I wanted to be here.
- 1:52Speaker 3: I did everything I could to show that I wanted
- 1:54Speaker 3: to be a cowboy and wear the star on my helmet.
- 1:56Speaker 3: I wanted to play in front of the best fans
- 1:58Speaker 3: in sports and make this America's team once again, the
- 2:03Speaker 3: team my mom and pops grow up cheering for. Unfortunately,
- 2:07Speaker 3: I no longer want to be here.
- 2:09Speaker 2: I no longer I.
- 2:09Speaker 3: Want to be held to closed door negotiations without any
- 2:12Speaker 3: agent present. I no longer want shots taken at me
- 2:15Speaker 3: for getting injured while laying it on the line for
- 2:17Speaker 3: the organization and our fans and my teammates. I no
- 2:20Speaker 3: longer want narratives created and spread of the media about me.
- 2:23Speaker 3: I had purposely stayed quiet hopes of getting something done,
- 2:26Speaker 3: but there is confusion out there. Let me set things straight.
- 2:28Speaker 3: And then he goes through it. But he says he
- 2:30Speaker 3: doesn't want to be a cowboy.
- 2:31Speaker 2: I will say, you know, this is a very unique
- 2:34Speaker 2: way of negotiating, and they keep doing this, Like like I said,
- 2:37Speaker 2: they keep doing this every year, and there's no way
- 2:39Speaker 2: a player feels good about even when it's signed, even
- 2:42Speaker 2: when they get all the money, Like the whole stress
- 2:45Speaker 2: of the negotiation ruins their thoughts about really being a
- 2:50Speaker 2: cowboy and like being part of that family quote unquote
- 2:53Speaker 2: you know, so like, yes, is this a tactic. Sure
- 2:56Speaker 2: on both sides, are they getting a little mouthy and dirty? Sure?
- 3:00Speaker 2: Are they gonna? I bet you he still remains a cowboy.
- 3:04Speaker 2: But I don't think this is good for the team.
- 3:05Speaker 2: I bet you remains a cowboy.
- 3:06Speaker 3: I don't think it matters within the team.
- 3:09Speaker 2: It's business. It's not a family. It's business.
- 3:12Speaker 3: And I've been through some really difficult, like feeling hurt
- 3:16Speaker 3: type negotiations. And as soon as you sign it, it's over.
- 3:19Speaker 3: As soon as you sign it, it's over. It's the process.
- 3:22Speaker 3: If you've done it once, you're like, you really hate
- 3:24Speaker 3: the people you're negotiating against and you are trying not
- 3:27Speaker 3: to take things personally, but you're going, my value is
- 3:30Speaker 3: this and they're not giving it to me. So but
- 3:32Speaker 3: as soon as the deal has worked out, ninety eight
- 3:35Speaker 3: percent of that's gone.
- 3:37Speaker 2: Can we do this a little earlier?
- 3:39Speaker 3: But that's a Jerry Jones thing because he's done this
- 3:41Speaker 3: many times over.
- 3:42Speaker 2: I know. But like you're missing, like practice is not
- 3:45Speaker 2: going well. You know, you're not like you want him
- 3:49Speaker 2: engaged right now. This is where your time is preparing
- 3:51Speaker 2: for the season, not time to negotiate. It's like CD
- 3:55Speaker 2: didn't play any of last year's preseason. It took him
- 3:57Speaker 2: five six weeks to get warmed up. Yeah, we had
- 4:00Speaker 2: a heck of a year, didn't he Yeah, eventually he did. No,
- 4:04Speaker 2: I remember, dude, I remember the first three weeks. It's
- 4:06Speaker 2: just like it was bad. Well he was the only receiver,
- 4:09Speaker 2: but I mean it was bad. I think that's only
- 4:11Speaker 2: offensive weapon war of that.
- 4:13Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:14Speaker 3: Uh so, I also don't think Michael Parsons gets traded.
- 4:18Speaker 3: But that's a really going hard statement if you didn't
- 4:23Speaker 3: really consider getting traded, like he said parents in there,
- 4:26Speaker 3: he said, I no longer want.
- 4:27Speaker 2: To be a cowboy.
- 4:28Speaker 3: Yeah, like you can do a Terry McLaurin trade request,
- 4:30Speaker 3: which is a bit different. Terry mclaurin's requested to be traded.
- 4:34Speaker 3: You know what, that feels a little nicer, and that
- 4:36Speaker 3: feels like you're saying what you feel like you need
- 4:39Speaker 3: to say to get the message across and move it
- 4:41Speaker 3: a little faster.
- 4:43Speaker 2: He freaking said, I don't want to be a cowboy anymore.
- 4:45Speaker 2: So you say, as part of like Michaeh Parsons and
- 4:48Speaker 2: whoever's in the in the negotiation, the player that's involved
- 4:51Speaker 2: in the negotiations, what about the rest of the team.
- 4:53Speaker 2: When he says stuff like that, nobody cares. It's all business. Okay,
- 4:56Speaker 2: But but are they mature enough to really nobody cares.
- 4:58Speaker 3: Yes, because everybody's just like out for themselves. They're not
- 5:01Speaker 3: mature enough. They understand because this is they have a
- 5:03Speaker 3: very limited window to get as much money as they
- 5:05Speaker 3: can get because once the window is over, they don't
- 5:07Speaker 3: get money anymore. So everybody understands. Okay, generally speaking, everybody understands,
- 5:13Speaker 3: especially in sports, because again, that window is so small.
- 5:17Speaker 3: If you don't get everything you can get in that
- 5:20Speaker 3: small window that you can get it, you're going to
- 5:22Speaker 3: be missing out. And that's all. It's all business, every bit.
- 5:25Speaker 3: If it's a business, I understand. So I don't think
- 5:27Speaker 3: anybody's in. Like, man, I thought we were a team
- 5:28Speaker 3: when I came to the Cowboys. I thought we was
- 5:30Speaker 3: all gonna have ice creams and hang out on Sundays
- 5:33Speaker 3: after the game.
- 5:33Speaker 2: You're not a single person does that? I felt like, so,
- 5:35Speaker 2: you know, maybe some of the defenses, like when you
- 5:37Speaker 2: when it's all sit and down, like, oh, I thought
- 5:38Speaker 2: you didn't want to be a cowboy dog, Like I
- 5:40Speaker 2: don't want to be happy I got your money?
- 5:42Speaker 3: Or happy you got your money, because that's all anybody's
- 5:45Speaker 3: trying to do is get their money.
- 5:46Speaker 2: Especially if you play his position, then you're like more
- 5:49Speaker 2: money from me.
- 5:50Speaker 3: Like that, Like a running back, you got to get
- 5:53Speaker 3: your money because they ain't paying running backs and they
- 5:55Speaker 3: have a very a very small window.
- 5:58Speaker 2: So I don't worried about it. I don't know that
- 6:01Speaker 2: i'd be worried.
- 6:02Speaker 3: I would be slightly concerned because even that that's out there,
- 6:05Speaker 3: even though he wrote that so harshly, I'd be a
- 6:08Speaker 3: little concerned about it.
- 6:09Speaker 2: You know. I will say when some of these parody accounts,
- 6:11Speaker 2: you know, I just scroll and I see like Micah Gone,
- 6:14Speaker 2: I'm like, oh my heart stops for a second, Mike,
- 6:17Speaker 2: what do you think?
- 6:18Speaker 4: I think it just makes me sad about like how
- 6:20Speaker 4: toxic everything is of like it just feels like we'll
- 6:23Speaker 4: never be a real team and we're never gonna have
- 6:25Speaker 4: any success. But everybody just hates each other and they
- 6:27Speaker 4: hate Jerry Jones.
- 6:28Speaker 3: This is happening on every team. I mean, Trey Henderson's
- 6:30Speaker 3: happened in Cincinnati right now.
- 6:31Speaker 4: So it's not just is it just specific because we
- 6:33Speaker 4: see all the cowboystuff, cows like it's just them that's
- 6:36Speaker 4: so toxic.
- 6:37Speaker 3: It's not even that you just see the cowboy stuff
- 6:39Speaker 3: because you're algorithm feeds you cowboys stuff because that is true. Yeah,
- 6:42Speaker 3: but the cowboy stuff is amplified to everybody more so
- 6:45Speaker 3: than any other team.
- 6:47Speaker 5: You think Jerry thrives off of this too, as far
- 6:49Speaker 5: as the attention media and all this.
- 6:51Speaker 3: I don't think he does it for the attention, but
- 6:53Speaker 3: I don't think the attention is a negative.
- 6:56Speaker 4: But then you also see them like not paying the cheerleaders,
- 6:58Speaker 4: and that's always a big story to see if they
- 7:00Speaker 4: don't want to pay anybody.
- 7:01Speaker 3: But those cheerleaders are very famous. No cheerleaders are getting
- 7:04Speaker 3: paid like it's again not to sound like a jerk,
- 7:08Speaker 3: what are the cheerleaders? What are they needed for? They're
- 7:11Speaker 3: not needed. That's a glory position. That's a job that
- 7:14Speaker 3: everybody wants. It doesn't matter the job. If there is
- 7:17Speaker 3: a job that everybody wants, it doesn't pay that well
- 7:20Speaker 3: because everybody wants it. If they had to get the
- 7:24Speaker 3: best of the best, and we demand then yeah, in
- 7:27Speaker 3: that position actually produce revenue, then yes. But being a
- 7:32Speaker 3: Dallas couple of cheerleaders more an honor than it is
- 7:35Speaker 3: actually doing something for the greater good of the community.
- 7:39Speaker 3: And I'm sure they get paid for the show when
- 7:41Speaker 3: they do the shows and stuff, and do I think this.
- 7:43Speaker 2: Should get paid more?
- 7:43Speaker 3: Sure, But you're paid based on how expensive it is
- 7:46Speaker 3: to replace you.
- 7:47Speaker 2: That's generally what it is.
- 7:49Speaker 3: That's why you get paid the amount you get paid,
- 7:50Speaker 3: whatever you get paid, you're paid basically what your employer
- 7:55Speaker 3: thinks it would cost to replace you.
- 7:58Speaker 2: That's it.
- 7:59Speaker 3: And and that's why again, what are Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders
- 8:04Speaker 3: or any cheerleaders? What's really their use in the NFL.
- 8:07Speaker 4: I'll say the other thing that I watched that second
- 8:09Speaker 4: season of it, and they wouldn't even let them utilize
- 8:12Speaker 4: their social media. They told them like they couldn't do
- 8:14Speaker 4: brand deals. It wasn't until like that last season aired
- 8:16Speaker 4: they're like, Okay, you guys can do brand deals now.
- 8:18Speaker 3: And that's just from the pressure of well, and look,
- 8:22Speaker 3: I don't I'm not on pro pay them less, pro
- 8:25Speaker 3: pay them more. I don't know enough about it. But
- 8:27Speaker 3: I'm just talking generally. If about cheerleaders, uh sure I can,
- 8:31Speaker 3: but I'm just talking generally. Okay, if there's a brand
- 8:34Speaker 3: that you're a part of like our company could say,
- 8:38Speaker 3: and they do to a lot of people, Hey you
- 8:39Speaker 3: can't do brand deals.
- 8:41Speaker 2: On social media. The nothing to do with us.
- 8:42Speaker 3: They literally can tell us that in my contract specifically
- 8:46Speaker 3: I have, they can't do that. And that was hard
- 8:48Speaker 3: for me to get. You guys don't have that. Now
- 8:50Speaker 3: they haven't stepped in and cut anybody out, but I
- 8:53Speaker 3: had to fight in a negotiation. Whenever I hated the company,
- 8:55Speaker 3: I was pissed at this. It's like much like Micah. So
- 8:59Speaker 3: the company could stup in and go like, hey, you're
- 9:01Speaker 3: doing brand deals that are actually not good for our image.
- 9:04Speaker 3: So we're not going to let you do that. And
- 9:06Speaker 3: that is such an image, that's such a glory position
- 9:08Speaker 3: to be a Dallas cowboy cheerleader that that's probably why
- 9:11Speaker 3: they didn't want them out doing tummy tea or Johnson
- 9:15Speaker 3: and Johnson dildos. Like I don't know what they're doing,
- 9:17Speaker 3: but it's mostly who knows.
- 9:21Speaker 2: That's in the WNBA games now.
- 9:24Speaker 3: If you make the money that your employer thinks it
- 9:27Speaker 3: would cost to replace you, that's it. And so they think, Okay,
- 9:32Speaker 3: we're not paying much. One goes down, grab another one.
- 9:34Speaker 3: Everybody wants to be this, like why would you pay
- 9:37Speaker 3: him more? It's not every job. That's every job.
- 9:40Speaker 2: It's so crazy how transparent they are with money in sports,
- 9:43Speaker 2: you know, like negotiation, like there's nowhere else, Like if
- 9:46Speaker 2: we don't have a CEO of you know, just a
- 9:49Speaker 2: random company negotiating for his new contract and we're all
- 9:53Speaker 2: watching it, like that would be awesome.
- 9:55Speaker 3: Public a trading companies a lot of times that's put
- 9:57Speaker 3: out and government jobs like head coaches, that's out there. Sports, yeah,
- 10:02Speaker 3: and move and entertainment, it's out there a lot.
- 10:04Speaker 2: Like I'd love to see Jeff Bezos like negotiate his
- 10:06Speaker 2: next Well he doesn't have to, he owns it.
- 10:08Speaker 3: Oh but you see, like the American Idol guys, their
- 10:11Speaker 3: contracts coming out, they're like Luke Bryan's making. So there
- 10:16Speaker 3: are a lot of professions I think, high profile positions.
- 10:18Speaker 3: Most of them that money at most that money is
- 10:20Speaker 3: out there where they're making. But Michael Parsons, I think
- 10:24Speaker 3: he'll be a cowboy yea. But the fact that he
- 10:26Speaker 3: wrote I don't want to be a cowboy anymore. I
- 10:28Speaker 3: think he's open to leaving and it is not just
- 10:32Speaker 3: a tactic. I think it's a tactic but I don't
- 10:35Speaker 3: think it's just a tactic. Yeah, I don't think he's
- 10:37Speaker 3: just going to take way Less, but he's going to
- 10:39Speaker 3: get the most he can from his way Less. I
- 10:41Speaker 3: think if it doesn't match what he wants, he's out,
- 10:43Speaker 3: And that would be concerning.
- 10:44Speaker 2: To me as a Cowboys fan. Do you think they
- 10:45Speaker 2: pay him what he wants?
- 10:47Speaker 3: I mean, with the salary cap, you can always kick
- 10:50Speaker 3: the money. A few years back, I look at his
- 10:56Speaker 3: history of paying Zeke and Dak. They eventu got there
- 11:02Speaker 3: and there was all I remember Dak, It's like, is
- 11:05Speaker 3: he going to play first game? And like the day
- 11:07Speaker 3: before they got it done, like two years ago. So yeah,
- 11:10Speaker 3: he'll probably get it.
- 11:14Speaker 2: I saw a pretty good trade off, probably get it
- 11:16Speaker 2: from is that Atlanta?
- 11:17Speaker 3: Maybe there's no trade offerer, that's people making out trade offer. Yes,
- 11:23Speaker 3: that's not Those aren't real trade offer.
- 11:25Speaker 2: Do you see the des Bryant thing.
- 11:28Speaker 3: I saw him getting pissed on Twitter because of what
- 11:31Speaker 3: Jerry said. He said he mentioned as yeah, and jay
- 11:35Speaker 3: z uh tell the story.
- 11:37Speaker 2: So Jerry's talking about just negotiating and he said, back
- 11:40Speaker 2: in the day, you know, I had to negotiate with
- 11:42Speaker 2: jay z for Des Bryant. It's like, and I made
- 11:45Speaker 2: a deal with jay Z that like he cannot be late, Like, okay,
- 11:50Speaker 2: if he can promise not to be late at practice
- 11:53Speaker 2: or games or anything, it's on you, jay Z. And
- 11:57Speaker 2: he said, And jay Z didn't answer my calls a
- 11:59Speaker 2: few times, just ignored me. And so I thought that
- 12:03Speaker 2: was a cool story out of nowhere.
- 12:04Speaker 3: Though He's like bringing in people for the sake of
- 12:06Speaker 3: a good story. Yeah, yeah, yeah, okay, So good luck
- 12:09Speaker 3: to Micah.
- 12:11Speaker 2: I do want to talk about this clip.
- 12:12Speaker 3: This is from the Portland Pickles, the minor league team
- 12:15Speaker 3: who's baseball. It's a minor league team in Portland where
- 12:18Speaker 3: they will grab a fan from in the stands and
- 12:22Speaker 3: they get to come. It's very Savannah Banana feeling. But
- 12:25Speaker 3: everybody has to do that now, right, find what people
- 12:27Speaker 3: do awesome and take from them to make your product
- 12:29Speaker 3: more awesome. But they take a random fan from the
- 12:32Speaker 3: stands and they get to having a bat. So the
- 12:35Speaker 3: fan comes down the first bat and walks, Wow, second.
- 12:38Speaker 2: Just didn't swing. That's what I would do. I don't know.
- 12:42Speaker 3: The first to bat wasn't on TikTok, but I went
- 12:44Speaker 3: to look and see if it was real. So from
- 12:46Speaker 3: what I read, the first at bat he walked, he
- 12:50Speaker 3: comes back up second at bat.
- 12:52Speaker 2: This is in the game. It's a minor league, so
- 12:53Speaker 2: it doesn't really matter. So you get picked at the
- 12:55Speaker 2: beginning of the game, and you can play the entire game.
- 12:56Speaker 3: You don't play the entire game, but you get won.
- 12:58Speaker 3: A bat and a walks on. A walks not can say.
- 13:01Speaker 3: And so second a bat, he goes up and this
- 13:03Speaker 3: picture is throwing hard like he's really I mean, he's
- 13:06Speaker 3: throwing sliders, he's throwing fastballs.
- 13:09Speaker 2: This is our lucky.
- 13:10Speaker 6: Fan that gets to take it out back tonight, and Dixie,
- 13:14Speaker 6: we appreciate the heck out if you're so Dixie for
- 13:19Speaker 6: Jamie mcbrouck.
- 13:20Speaker 2: Question Mark hey off pitch fly ball left center fee
- 13:29Speaker 2: four lenders what hard?
- 13:32Speaker 6: God, I'm standing here watching the replay because I still
- 13:39Speaker 6: can't effing believe that happened.
- 13:41Speaker 2: He hit a homer.
- 13:42Speaker 3: Is a two two pitch and he jacked it. Wow,
- 13:45Speaker 3: had to play baseball somewhere. But doesn't look like a
- 13:49Speaker 3: like an athlete, doesn't not look like an athlete, but
- 13:51Speaker 3: you don't see him and go like this is a ringer?
- 13:52Speaker 2: Yeah, would you agree? Mike, Yeah, regular dude.
- 13:54Speaker 3: It looks like a dude, but for sure you can
- 13:56Speaker 3: tell by a swing he's played ball somewhere before.
- 13:58Speaker 2: And it's too two.
- 13:59Speaker 3: And I saw the pitches ding up to it and
- 14:00Speaker 3: the picture was stilling hard. I think he hit a
- 14:02Speaker 3: slider out jacked it.
- 14:05Speaker 2: It was awesome.
- 14:06Speaker 3: So if you haven't seen that Portland Pickles clip, give
- 14:09Speaker 3: it a run there.
- 14:10Speaker 2: That's cool.
- 14:11Speaker 3: I did watch both nights a summer Slam that was
- 14:14Speaker 3: really good. I thought, I know, Mike, you watched it too, Kevin,
- 14:17Speaker 3: did you watch it? I did not, Eddie, No, man, Okay,
- 14:20Speaker 3: you guys are acting like wrestling is as big as
- 14:23Speaker 3: a bigger than.
- 14:24Speaker 2: NBA and baseball right now. The first time they had
- 14:26Speaker 2: done two nights too for in at football stadium. Can
- 14:28Speaker 2: I gamble in wrestling? They did it in that, you know,
- 14:30Speaker 2: then I ain't watching. I thought Night one was better
- 14:35Speaker 2: than night too.
- 14:35Speaker 3: Night one was my favorite, and they usually build it
- 14:37Speaker 3: where Night two is obviously bigger and better. But I thought,
- 14:41Speaker 3: I love that Seampunk won the title. And then yeah,
- 14:45Speaker 3: and then Seth came out. That was super cool. Uh,
- 14:48Speaker 3: and then night two John Cena and Cody Rhodes and
- 14:54Speaker 3: as an adult, Mike, you can answer this too. Do
- 14:56Speaker 3: you feel weird watching the matches that one of them
- 14:58Speaker 3: are gonna get hurt every time?
- 14:59Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 14:59Speaker 4: I didn't that way as a kid, but now even
- 15:01Speaker 4: when Jelly Roll is out there, I'm like, man needs
- 15:02Speaker 4: to get to get hurts.
- 15:03Speaker 2: You got to cancel the tour because you guys are
- 15:05Speaker 2: older now and understand and know what.
- 15:06Speaker 3: It's like to get hurt. And also like they're not superheroes,
- 15:09Speaker 3: like they're real people. I looked at their ages last night.
- 15:12Speaker 2: I was doing the same thing because I'm like, these
- 15:13Speaker 2: guys are gonna hurt themselves. Like I'm worried.
- 15:15Speaker 3: I'm like, oh god, they're gonna hurt themselves. John Cena
- 15:18Speaker 3: forty eighth, Yeah, you.
- 15:20Speaker 2: Can't bounce back from an injury as quick as you
- 15:22Speaker 2: used to. The young Cody Roads forty is Cody the
- 15:25Speaker 2: blonde one, uh huh with the neck tattoo. He's forty. Yeah,
- 15:28Speaker 2: that's why, and he's like the future of the company.
- 15:31Speaker 2: At forty, I can still wrestle. Then, it sounds like.
- 15:33Speaker 4: And for me it's not so much to slams, but
- 15:35Speaker 4: whenever they get like thrown at a ring or like yeah,
- 15:37Speaker 4: they jump from I'm like, man, they're gonna like tear
- 15:39Speaker 4: something too.
- 15:40Speaker 2: You can't like fake that. Yep, that jelly roll dude,
- 15:43Speaker 2: that jump, I mean that was far away. Yeah, but
- 15:46Speaker 2: again I'm sure that hurt.
- 15:47Speaker 3: But they know how to land, and he's doing the
- 15:50Speaker 3: frog and his knees are able to take some of that,
- 15:53Speaker 3: Like Logan Paul, his knees and his arms are able
- 15:56Speaker 3: to take some of that splash off of jelly So
- 15:58Speaker 3: it's not just like oh yeah, like the next.
- 16:01Speaker 2: Stuff and the jumps, the pile drivers.
- 16:04Speaker 3: Yes, I'm always like somebody's about to get hurt and
- 16:06Speaker 3: then watching unreal and seeing like when people do get hurt.
- 16:09Speaker 3: But Ceth Rollin's faked a leg injury for months. He
- 16:12Speaker 3: got hurt and then when hosted Rich Eisens show, Rich
- 16:16Speaker 3: thought he was hurt.
- 16:16Speaker 2: He was still on crutches.
- 16:18Speaker 3: He was doing social media be just with his kid
- 16:20Speaker 3: on crutches, like kept it the whole time, and he
- 16:22Speaker 3: came out money in the bank and everybody like, oh,
- 16:24Speaker 3: he's still hurt, and he drops the crutches and goes
- 16:25Speaker 3: down a beach like kept it so real in his
- 16:29Speaker 3: personal life too, It's amazing. Yeah, well that's good. It
- 16:32Speaker 3: was two nights in a football stadium.
- 16:33Speaker 2: Is that pay per view? No, Peacock, there's really no
- 16:37Speaker 2: pay per view.
- 16:38Speaker 4: Anymore now they've been on Peacock and then Netflix is
- 16:42Speaker 4: on Draw on Netflix Peacock.
- 16:44Speaker 2: Yeah. So UFC's and Boxing are the only pay per
- 16:47Speaker 2: views now.
- 16:48Speaker 3: And it's not about wrestling not making money and start
- 16:51Speaker 3: making big, big, big money by signing these deals with
- 16:54Speaker 3: Peacock with Netflix.
- 16:55Speaker 4: Oh yeah, I remember as a kid, I could never
- 16:57Speaker 4: watch him because like pay per view, I'm not paying pairs.
- 16:59Speaker 2: Are a paid eighty bucks for that?
- 17:00Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 17:01Speaker 2: Yeah, it was. It was super cool.
- 17:03Speaker 3: I don't like it when they do in a football
- 17:04Speaker 3: stadium though, I feel like some of it's lost in
- 17:07Speaker 3: soulent audio, like meaning when it's enclosed, the pops are
- 17:10Speaker 3: louder because there's a roof.
- 17:13Speaker 4: It does take you out of it a little bit
- 17:14Speaker 4: when you just see people like walking around in the background,
- 17:17Speaker 4: you like going to the rest you and you're like,
- 17:18Speaker 4: oh man, they're not even paid attention.
- 17:20Speaker 2: Where were these Met Life? Oh New York Giants Jets? Yeah.
- 17:23Speaker 4: I also don't know how good of a live experience
- 17:25Speaker 4: that it is because I went to SummerSlam here when
- 17:27Speaker 4: it was in Nashville, and it's such a big stadium,
- 17:29Speaker 4: it's hard to feel like the energy of it.
- 17:31Speaker 2: And it's even like watching you're like is he flipping them?
- 17:34Speaker 2: Like who is so far away?
- 17:37Speaker 3: And they do have screens that but even the screens
- 17:39Speaker 3: don't feel like Dallas.
- 17:40Speaker 2: Cowboy or they have like the stage lights.
- 17:42Speaker 4: Some people are like completely blinded because they have a
- 17:44Speaker 4: big bright light in their face because they're lighting it
- 17:46Speaker 4: for TV.
- 17:47Speaker 3: It reminds me that MLB did their Speedway Classic and
- 17:50Speaker 3: Bostol the Reds.
- 17:52Speaker 2: It was too big.
- 17:53Speaker 3: It was too big for a baseball game, and it
- 17:55Speaker 3: was a disaster anyway they structure they infrastructured like sur
- 17:59Speaker 3: food bathrooms, was terrible. They called it firefast baseball, the.
- 18:02Speaker 2: Buttle hot dogs, hot dogs cheese. Yeah, it was a disaster.
- 18:07Speaker 3: And also it was cool to see looking at it
- 18:12Speaker 3: when if you weren't there, because it was massive.
- 18:14Speaker 2: It was cool to see the drone shot, you know
- 18:17Speaker 2: where you kind of see half of the speedway being used.
- 18:19Speaker 2: They could have fit two Major League ballparks in that stadium.
- 18:22Speaker 2: You know what looks fun And I've never been to this,
- 18:24Speaker 2: but when they play hockey outside. That looks cool because
- 18:27Speaker 2: that seemed like the way I see though. It's like
- 18:29Speaker 2: when they in Nebraska played volleyball in the football stadium.
- 18:31Speaker 2: Oh right, yeah, it's I think the environment would be
- 18:34Speaker 2: fun because it's such a one off or once a
- 18:37Speaker 2: year type thing. Or if it's snowing outside, yeah that's cool.
- 18:40Speaker 2: All right, break, we'll come back. We played around three
- 18:49Speaker 2: of our golf tournament.
- 18:50Speaker 3: It was hot as crap too, and so the videos
- 18:52Speaker 3: upfield and watch it just go over to Bobby Bone Sports.
- 18:56Speaker 3: And it was me, Eddie our Fring, Gator, and Kane
- 18:58Speaker 3: Brown and so we were kind of rushed because Gator
- 19:03Speaker 3: was late. He was like, I'm gonna be late, so
- 19:05Speaker 3: I had to move our time back a few minutes.
- 19:06Speaker 3: Caine went to the wrong club. Oh that's terrible, Like
- 19:10Speaker 3: twenty minutes away, same part of same town, but went
- 19:13Speaker 3: to the wrong club, and so he we're waiting on him,
- 19:16Speaker 3: and so they're like, you guys got to go. So
- 19:18Speaker 3: we're like rushing up to the tea. So we started
- 19:22Speaker 3: and and golf you never want to have to like
- 19:23Speaker 3: be hastily started yep. But I parted the first hole
- 19:26Speaker 3: and I was like Okay, that felt terrible, but I
- 19:27Speaker 3: partly got a part of there.
- 19:28Speaker 2: What's crazier though, is they didn't tell man, and it's
- 19:31Speaker 2: such a mental game. Golf is so mental. And they
- 19:34Speaker 2: changed up the order. We started in ten on whole ten. Yeah,
- 19:36Speaker 2: we started on whole ten, where like mentally me is
- 19:39Speaker 2: like I was so prepared on the driving range to
- 19:41Speaker 2: start on one and how I was going to attack
- 19:42Speaker 2: one that it just threw me off. So we start
- 19:45Speaker 2: playing as hot as crap. We're sweating.
- 19:47Speaker 3: That's part for the course, pun intended here because it's
- 19:50Speaker 3: hot every afternoon.
- 19:51Speaker 2: It's miserable. You're a month straight here, yes, like hot
- 19:54Speaker 2: and wet.
- 19:55Speaker 3: And so we're playing and our hands are sweaty, our
- 19:57Speaker 3: knees a week and.
- 20:01Speaker 2: Now oh I'm in love.
- 20:06Speaker 3: And we start playing and we're bouncing back and forth.
- 20:08Speaker 3: He's up, I'm up going to eighteen. I think I
- 20:11Speaker 3: was up four. I tripled eighteen, had a terrible hole,
- 20:15Speaker 3: terrible hole. I ended up winning about one stroke. So
- 20:18Speaker 3: after three rounds, I'm up four strokes.
- 20:20Speaker 2: As we go into the final round, that's gonna be tough, man.
- 20:23Speaker 2: The whole thing was tough. I mean, you have to
- 20:25Speaker 2: beat me one single round, I know. So now assuming
- 20:28Speaker 2: that for me to win this thing, I have to
- 20:30Speaker 2: be by five five strokes, it just seems impossible.
- 20:33Speaker 5: Now let me ask you this, Bobby, because you just
- 20:35Speaker 5: said you triple bogie the last one and the score
- 20:38Speaker 5: is close, I assume, so like his ed Can you
- 20:40Speaker 5: see in Eddie's face?
- 20:41Speaker 7: Is he like, oh, this is my shot? But then
- 20:44Speaker 7: it kind of gets to him.
- 20:45Speaker 2: A little bit.
- 20:45Speaker 3: Well, because we have a triple max, that's the worst
- 20:49Speaker 3: you can get. He knew he couldn't actually catch up,
- 20:54Speaker 3: but I think he was really counting on triming those
- 20:56Speaker 3: strokes back. So I was up two or three the
- 21:00Speaker 3: last three or four holes, so I think going at eighteen,
- 21:04Speaker 3: he had given up winning for the day. He just
- 21:05Speaker 3: wanted to trim as many strokes off as possible. That
- 21:07Speaker 3: we also had the first time ever we had a
- 21:10Speaker 3: and you can tell us what you would do. We
- 21:12Speaker 3: had a controversial Okay, it's something called the poison ivy rule.
- 21:16Speaker 2: Okay, there was a ball. Hey, well hold on, hold, Kevin,
- 21:18Speaker 2: have you ever heard of the poison ivy rule? I
- 21:20Speaker 2: have not.
- 21:20Speaker 7: I've heard of poison ivy, but not the poison ivy rules.
- 21:23Speaker 2: There was a ball in poison ivy in.
- 21:26Speaker 3: Like in a bush or and oh it was in
- 21:28Speaker 3: tall rough, tall rough like it wasn't it was on
- 21:31Speaker 3: top of it.
- 21:31Speaker 2: Would have been impossible to get that. I didn't tell
- 21:33Speaker 2: you whose ball it was.
- 21:34Speaker 3: It wasn't impossible because it was on top of it,
- 21:36Speaker 3: literally on top of it. And I was going to
- 21:38Speaker 3: hit it out of it. And Brandon's like, let me
- 21:40Speaker 3: look at the pictures and he's like, that's poison ivy
- 21:42Speaker 3: all around it. So I said, okay, I'll just drop
- 21:44Speaker 3: backward from the poison ivy. And it's like, it's fine whatever.
- 21:47Speaker 2: So I moved. I went backward, sticks it on the ground.
- 21:50Speaker 7: You would have had to step in it or just
- 21:52Speaker 7: hit the bums in it.
- 21:53Speaker 2: Oh, it was all It was a had that golf though, dude,
- 21:56Speaker 2: it's a golf played as it lies. Is that we
- 21:58Speaker 2: were saying, and that's pretty much what I'm saying. I mean,
- 22:01Speaker 2: the rule was was if it's you're gonna damage your club,
- 22:06Speaker 2: you're on a rock.
- 22:06Speaker 3: But you can damage your body by being in poison ivy.
- 22:09Speaker 2: The club is what we said, not the body.
- 22:11Speaker 3: You're also Eddie's like wants gimme's now too. So he
- 22:13Speaker 3: started to He's like gimmy, gimmey like on putts.
- 22:16Speaker 7: Yeah, oh I thought that wasn't a thing.
- 22:17Speaker 2: Well it's a thing.
- 22:18Speaker 3: But he's been a little more wanting generosity on his
- 22:21Speaker 3: and hetty, this is how I go any rule.
- 22:23Speaker 2: Would I give it to him if he's in poison?
- 22:25Speaker 3: Of course, like he's gonna run his life for like
- 22:27Speaker 3: six days and he's gonna have to put calamine lotion on, Like,
- 22:30Speaker 3: move it backward, you don't get a better lie. And
- 22:33Speaker 3: also the ball wasn't in the rough. It was laying
- 22:35Speaker 3: on top of a bunch of like grass.
- 22:37Speaker 2: It was like it was like Oakmont man like grass
- 22:40Speaker 2: as high as your knees. But he moved it. He
- 22:44Speaker 2: moved it out of the moved it backward from from
- 22:47Speaker 2: from the poison. Ivy, nice little plush bermuda.
- 22:49Speaker 3: It actually was closer to the water and not in
- 22:53Speaker 3: the fair way.
- 22:54Speaker 5: Let me this, okay, if there was no if there's like,
- 22:57Speaker 5: wasn't a bet and a whole thing going on, you
- 22:59Speaker 5: guys are just playing for fun.
- 23:00Speaker 7: Oh, would you have been like, yeah, you can move it?
- 23:02Speaker 2: Of course?
- 23:02Speaker 1: One?
- 23:03Speaker 2: Okay, I would say almost everything that we argue about
- 23:06Speaker 2: that's considered a controversy.
- 23:08Speaker 3: I don't argue about anything what he argues about I
- 23:10Speaker 3: argue because I don't cheat.
- 23:12Speaker 2: No, but that that's not cheating.
- 23:14Speaker 3: That's me going, hey, I was actually going to hit
- 23:16Speaker 3: the ball, and Brandon's like, whoa, that is poison.
- 23:19Speaker 2: I Brandon the photographer, he looked at it with.
- 23:23Speaker 3: His phone and identified it by using an app. Yeah,
- 23:26Speaker 3: and he goes, that's poison ivy.
- 23:28Speaker 2: Because I was. That's another thing.
- 23:29Speaker 3: I was walking up to hit it off of it
- 23:31Speaker 3: and Brandon's like, that's poisoning. I'm like, all the hitting
- 23:33Speaker 3: out of poison ivy, that's stupid. I wasn't like begging
- 23:36Speaker 3: to move my ball from initially I was going to
- 23:39Speaker 3: hit it. I'm like, hitting it in poison ivy.
- 23:41Speaker 2: I mean, if you wouldn't hit it where it was,
- 23:44Speaker 2: he would have had to just punch out to get
- 23:46Speaker 2: it back on the fairway. Oh yeah, dude, it was.
- 23:49Speaker 2: There was no way you're going to get that out.
- 23:50Speaker 2: There was weed. It was on top of the yeah,
- 23:52Speaker 2: but in front of it there were weeds. And so
- 23:54Speaker 2: the fact that he pushed it out or he dropped
- 23:57Speaker 2: it on some nice little bermuda grass he sticks it on.
- 23:59Speaker 7: The Brandon didn't have him to take like a video
- 24:02Speaker 7: or a picture or anything.
- 24:02Speaker 2: Right, I know, Brandon, did I mean? And then it's
- 24:06Speaker 2: like Brandon, like, just be quiet. I was going to
- 24:08Speaker 2: hit the ball from the poison ivy.
- 24:09Speaker 3: I already started to walk up to it, and it's
- 24:11Speaker 3: like that's poison ivy because I said, is that poison ivy?
- 24:14Speaker 2: And it's like no, and I I said, I've never
- 24:17Speaker 2: seen poison ivy. I don't know.
- 24:19Speaker 3: And I was like, okay, I hit it out of
- 24:20Speaker 3: it and ride them walking out brand It's like, well, well,
- 24:22Speaker 3: it's poison ivy. And then I said, do you care?
- 24:24Speaker 3: Can I take a backward drop? Then I'll go backward
- 24:26Speaker 3: from it? And it's like yeah, sure, whatever.
- 24:28Speaker 7: So the time you didn't care and then you thought
- 24:30Speaker 7: about it a little bit more or no, No.
- 24:32Speaker 2: I wasn't happy about him, but it's like whatever, like
- 24:34Speaker 2: whatever you want.
- 24:34Speaker 5: And you're in shorts obviously, so it's not like yeah,
- 24:37Speaker 5: I mean, if you're actually in it, it is God's
- 24:41Speaker 5: not worth it, dude, that's not worth it at all.
- 24:42Speaker 2: Man. For five hundred dollars or I was. It was
- 24:46Speaker 2: house and cook and a Superman costume. I think it's
- 24:48Speaker 2: worth it, but it wasn't for five hundred dollars. It
- 24:50Speaker 2: was one hole. Who knows what that could have done?
- 24:53Speaker 7: That the whole final hole. You guys are tied. Yeah,
- 24:57Speaker 7: even then, that's tough, man, Mike.
- 24:58Speaker 2: What do you think as By and Ivy is no joke.
- 25:01Speaker 2: It's not worth it. Yeah, Like.
- 25:04Speaker 3: But that he gets mad, he finds something to be
- 25:06Speaker 3: irritated about when he loses every round.
- 25:08Speaker 5: Well, I was gonna say, I mean that sucks, Eddie,
- 25:10Speaker 5: but it sounds like there's been plenty of opportunities.
- 25:12Speaker 2: They're plenty because terrible, There have been plenty of opportunities.
- 25:16Speaker 2: I just I'm missing putts left and right. There was
- 25:18Speaker 2: just one putt that was like two feet or whatever.
- 25:21Speaker 2: And I, you know, to piggyback to you, being like,
- 25:24Speaker 2: oh give me, I said, hey, is this good? He says,
- 25:27Speaker 2: it's up to you. What am I supposed to do
- 25:29Speaker 2: with up to you?
- 25:30Speaker 3: If someone says up to you, I take it every time.
- 25:33Speaker 2: Okay, cool, pick it up. It's up to you. Do
- 25:35Speaker 2: you know what I want? Though? I was like seventy
- 25:37Speaker 2: feet behind him. I wasn't even up on the green.
- 25:39Speaker 7: Oh you didn't even really know.
- 25:39Speaker 3: I was like, I was in the cart and he
- 25:44Speaker 3: was on the green and he goes this, I said,
- 25:46Speaker 3: it's up to you because I literally couldn't see what
- 25:48Speaker 3: it was, so you just trust his judgment.
- 25:49Speaker 2: Yes, And he putted it and missed it. Oh no, yes,
- 25:53Speaker 2: and I missed. But I was at least fifty yards back. Hey,
- 25:57Speaker 2: I'm with you, Eddie where I'm like, all right, yeah,
- 25:59Speaker 2: I'll show you and it's up to me.
- 26:00Speaker 7: I'll freaking do this.
- 26:02Speaker 3: But min, it's up to you. With some so far back,
- 26:03Speaker 3: that's why I said that. I'm like, dude, it's so hot.
- 26:06Speaker 3: I don't want to get all the carbs in the shade.
- 26:08Speaker 3: I was like, dude, it's up to you because I
- 26:10Speaker 3: know I trust him. Yeah, And then he misses the punt.
- 26:12Speaker 3: I don't even know if he gave it to himself
- 26:14Speaker 3: after he hit it, so I said, did you give
- 26:17Speaker 3: that to yourself?
- 26:18Speaker 2: And he goes no. I'm like, oh, okay, but then
- 26:21Speaker 2: he blames me for that credit, like if I take
- 26:23Speaker 2: that one and then I don't give him one, lady.
- 26:25Speaker 2: He's like, oh really, and I give this to me
- 26:26Speaker 2: even after that is not the point. I did nothing.
- 26:29Speaker 3: I actually was very generous with that, like it's up
- 26:31Speaker 3: to you. I can't even see it, and then somehow
- 26:32Speaker 3: that comes back on me like I did something wrong, right,
- 26:35Speaker 3: So do you see how this is going?
- 26:37Speaker 2: Yeah? Yeah, If we were on Golf Channel, dude, we'd
- 26:39Speaker 2: be viral right now, everybody. Oh god, did you see
- 26:42Speaker 2: that drop of poison ivy? There'd be a hashtag right now.
- 26:44Speaker 2: Well there on a course on the golf channel, there wouldn't. No,
- 26:48Speaker 2: you're telling me there's no poison ivy at Beth Page.
- 26:50Speaker 3: I'm pretty much telling you that I think they take
- 26:53Speaker 3: that out. So we're three and we have one more
- 26:55Speaker 3: round to go, and I'm up four strokes.
- 26:59Speaker 2: I'm gonna need a spectacular round, like three birdies. I
- 27:03Speaker 2: don't think.
- 27:05Speaker 3: I think had you shot at eighty five, which you've
- 27:07Speaker 3: shot many times before, even this last round, we'd be tireder,
- 27:11Speaker 3: you'd be in the lead.
- 27:13Speaker 2: But you played poor. I played poor. Yeah, it sounds
- 27:15Speaker 2: like you had a day to take advantage. And that's
- 27:17Speaker 2: what I told them.
- 27:18Speaker 3: I was like, Man, if you'd have just played not
- 27:20Speaker 3: even as good as you normally do, like even a
- 27:22Speaker 3: little worse than you normally do, you'd have gained.
- 27:23Speaker 2: It was so it was so hot.
- 27:25Speaker 3: It was one of those where your glove gets so
- 27:27Speaker 3: wet they have to take it off, like dried off
- 27:29Speaker 3: when you go to the neck just from sweat.
- 27:31Speaker 2: Oh, it was drenched.
- 27:32Speaker 7: Like you try to bring two shirts, three shirts. Well
- 27:36Speaker 7: all that, I've done that.
- 27:37Speaker 3: But we had towels like just it was really wet.
- 27:40Speaker 3: We're like weting, I'm putting it on our heads.
- 27:42Speaker 2: It was that kind of day.
- 27:43Speaker 3: I was reading a story about celebrities who've had poor
- 27:47Speaker 3: money management and lost it all, and I think of
- 27:50Speaker 3: athletes too. I was there was a tweet that happened
- 27:52Speaker 3: yesterday and a guy was like, hey, I just played
- 27:54Speaker 3: in the NFL.
- 27:54Speaker 2: It was anonymous.
- 27:55Speaker 3: He said a lot of these guys would have these
- 27:56Speaker 3: contracts like five six hundred thousand dollars a year, so
- 27:59Speaker 3: not minimum. But also they're not making them millions of dollars.
- 28:02Speaker 3: They would already spend their money before they even get it,
- 28:04Speaker 3: and they basically have no money during the year because
- 28:06Speaker 3: they get that money, they spend it. Then when they
- 28:08Speaker 3: retire they have nothing, or not even retire when they
- 28:11Speaker 3: just don't make a team anymore, like they're broke. Yet
- 28:13Speaker 3: they made three million dollars over six or seven years,
- 28:17Speaker 3: but they have nothing because they spend it at such
- 28:19Speaker 3: a pace and they always imagine it's always going to
- 28:20Speaker 3: come and it doesn't. I think that's pretty common thing.
- 28:23Speaker 3: That's while they also have these classes and these seminars
- 28:27Speaker 3: with the athletes before their rookie year to go, this
- 28:30Speaker 3: money ain't gonna last, like you have a window. But
- 28:33Speaker 3: the same thing could be said about celebrities.
- 28:35Speaker 2: And so here we go.
- 28:36Speaker 3: I want to go ten to one. Ten celebrities who
- 28:39Speaker 3: had poor money management and lost it all. Some did
- 28:42Speaker 3: get it back.
- 28:43Speaker 2: So these are all Celebrits, not just athletes.
- 28:45Speaker 3: Yeah. Number ten Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt. They were
- 28:51Speaker 3: on the Hills on MTV at the height of their fame.
- 28:53Speaker 3: They brought in over two million dollars a year according
- 28:57Speaker 3: to People magazine. Of course, however, the couple spent a
- 29:00Speaker 3: million bucks on clothing for Heidi, another one million on
- 29:04Speaker 3: a crystal collection for Spencer, expensive dinners with three thousand dollars.
- 29:08Speaker 2: So it goes on.
- 29:10Speaker 3: But they talk about spending all their money, but this
- 29:13Speaker 3: is one They probably grew up around money and I'm
- 29:15Speaker 3: not sure if they had money but two, you just
- 29:18Speaker 3: think it's always going to come when it's coming at
- 29:20Speaker 3: a rapid rate like it was when you're young, especially,
- 29:24Speaker 3: so they probably thought we'll always be famous and be
- 29:26Speaker 3: making this money so we can spend this money. And
- 29:29Speaker 3: also having a lot of enablers around. Yeah, does that
- 29:32Speaker 3: as well? Yeah, especially if you're young.
- 29:33Speaker 2: Did they bounce back a bit?
- 29:35Speaker 3: So during the fires they lost their house, this pretty
- 29:38Speaker 3: big house, but I think they ended up getting some
- 29:40Speaker 3: more fame and notoriety and some deals because they were
- 29:44Speaker 3: some of the ones speaking out. He's still fighting with
- 29:46Speaker 3: like the California lawmakers, Spencer is. So I don't know
- 29:49Speaker 3: if they ever bounce back like making millions a year,
- 29:52Speaker 3: But I don't think they're like poor, right Mike, Wasn't
- 29:56Speaker 3: that the big narrative. Yeah, He's like, I'm not a
- 29:57Speaker 3: multimillionaire anymore.
- 29:58Speaker 4: We're trying to make money on TikTok, So he was like,
- 30:00Speaker 4: watch my video, so I can make money from this,
- 30:02Speaker 4: And then how do you use montag Her Like career
- 30:04Speaker 4: and music kind of came back again because people started
- 30:06Speaker 4: going back and listening to her music as a supporter.
- 30:08Speaker 3: Yeah, So I don't think they're on the hook for
- 30:11Speaker 3: paying bills.
- 30:11Speaker 2: But I don't think they're good.
- 30:12Speaker 3: I don't think they're multimillionaires again. Number nine Johnny Depp.
- 30:16Speaker 3: He was earning about six hundred and fifty million bucks
- 30:19Speaker 3: through his career up to this point. Just before the lawsuit, Well,
- 30:23Speaker 3: he had faced several financial challenges. His downfall won his
- 30:26Speaker 3: spendthrift habits two million dollars monthly. He was spending brow
- 30:31Speaker 3: thirty thousand dollars on a wine alone, even three million
- 30:34Speaker 3: dollars to blast Hunter S. Thompson's ashes from a cannon.
- 30:38Speaker 2: Dude, what but thirty thirty grand.
- 30:43Speaker 3: A month on wine though you're looking at You're looking
- 30:45Speaker 3: at you know, almost four hundred thousand bucks a year
- 30:48Speaker 3: on wine.
- 30:49Speaker 2: And it sounds stupid, right, Like, oh man, how much
- 30:52Speaker 2: did he drink? But you can get a bottle of
- 30:54Speaker 2: wine for like yeah, you know, yeah, he going to Kroger.
- 30:57Speaker 2: He going to Kroger. Get he ain't getting our bottle? No,
- 31:00Speaker 2: he's not.
- 31:01Speaker 3: Nicholas Cage accumulated one hundred and fifty million dollar fortune.
- 31:04Speaker 3: He is notorious for his eccentric and highly ill liquid investments,
- 31:09Speaker 3: which means it takes forever to sell them. Like liquid
- 31:13Speaker 3: means you have the cash like buying a house. Not liquid,
- 31:17Speaker 3: but it can be liquid ish pretty quick.
- 31:19Speaker 2: As soon as you sell it.
- 31:20Speaker 3: But when he bought like a dinosaur, yeah, we've heard
- 31:22Speaker 3: of that, yeah years ago.
- 31:25Speaker 2: He's a big collector, right, is that what you're saying?
- 31:29Speaker 3: He spent all this money on a dinosaur skull and
- 31:31Speaker 3: had to return to the Mongolian government. I don't think
- 31:33Speaker 3: they gave him money back for it.
- 31:34Speaker 2: Oh, that's just a straight loss.
- 31:36Speaker 3: He owned fifteen houses around the world, including two European castles.
- 31:39Speaker 3: Imagine the up keep on those.
- 31:42Speaker 2: Yeah, man, all the people working around there.
- 31:44Speaker 3: And then it seems like he wasn't paying his taxes.
- 31:47Speaker 3: He owed the Irs six point three million dollars and
- 31:49Speaker 3: face foreclosures on multiple properties.
- 31:52Speaker 2: But he's good, right, I would think he's okay. With movies,
- 31:56Speaker 2: he's probably good.
- 31:56Speaker 3: I would think he's okay. Kim Oh yeah, she was
- 32:02Speaker 3: like hot back in the day.
- 32:03Speaker 2: Right.
- 32:03Speaker 3: It was like one of those hot actresses, like, oh,
- 32:06Speaker 3: k basically I like to get with that, like that
- 32:08Speaker 3: type of person.
- 32:09Speaker 2: Yeah, I feel like she was in she was in Batman,
- 32:11Speaker 2: the Michael Keaton Batman. Oh yeah, she was the love interest.
- 32:14Speaker 2: She bought a whole town for twenty million bucks. I
- 32:16Speaker 2: think she was also eight mile.
- 32:18Speaker 3: She reportedly planned to revitalize the town and build a
- 32:20Speaker 3: movie studio there. However, the actor backed out of a
- 32:23Speaker 3: film she'd agreed to starr in the studio suitor she
- 32:25Speaker 3: was ordered to pay a million bucks. She filed for bankruptcy,
- 32:28Speaker 3: reached the settlement. Apparently she lost much money. Fifty He
- 32:34Speaker 3: was one of the biggest rappers of two thousands, but
- 32:35Speaker 3: lost a multimillion dollar lawsuit. He filed for bankruptcy in
- 32:38Speaker 3: twenty fifteen with thirty six million dollars in debts and
- 32:42Speaker 3: assets of less than twenty millions. So it looks like
- 32:43Speaker 3: he was about sixteen million in the hole.
- 32:45Speaker 7: Oh what about vitamin water?
- 32:47Speaker 3: Didn't we I think this is after right, Mike as
- 32:50Speaker 3: after Yeah, so I think he's wanted to bounce back.
- 32:53Speaker 2: Oh, but he was way, way in the hole. Can
- 32:55Speaker 2: you imagine if you owed millions that would hurt so bad?
- 32:59Speaker 3: Yeah, thirty six million and had a total of twenty million,
- 33:03Speaker 3: So even if he sold everything he had, he would
- 33:05Speaker 3: still be on the hook for sixteen million. He even start,
- 33:07Speaker 3: you just get the road, You just get out and
- 33:09Speaker 3: declared bankruptc.
- 33:10Speaker 2: Yeah, I declared bankruptcy, and then you just start hitting
- 33:12Speaker 2: the road. Man, play everything I thought you meant like run, no, no,
- 33:15Speaker 2: no no, I meant like play show leave the country
- 33:19Speaker 2: like Willie. You know when Willy owed all that money,
- 33:21Speaker 2: he just released a record will He's Next.
- 33:23Speaker 3: Despite being one of the most successful country artists all time,
- 33:25Speaker 3: Willie Nelson found himself in deep trouble with the IRS.
- 33:28Speaker 3: In nineteen ninety, his property, including a golf course and
- 33:31Speaker 3: recording studio, was seized across six states. He did an album,
- 33:36Speaker 3: the IRS tapes Who Will Buy My Memories to pay
- 33:39Speaker 3: off his sixteen million dollar debt.
- 33:43Speaker 2: Cool.
- 33:43Speaker 3: It didn't cover the full mount. It made a dent
- 33:45Speaker 3: and he ended up paying it off later. He owed
- 33:47Speaker 3: sixteen million dollars to the RS.
- 33:49Speaker 2: What was cool about that, Kevin, is that fans would
- 33:52Speaker 2: go to these auctions that they were auctioning off his
- 33:54Speaker 2: stuff that they took from the recording studio, his guitar,
- 33:56Speaker 2: like that we all know that in it. Like fans
- 33:59Speaker 2: would be like, I'll buy it for whatever, and then
- 34:02Speaker 2: they give back to Williams back just so you can
- 34:03Speaker 2: get it back. Dude.
- 34:05Speaker 3: Chris Tucker from Friday from.
- 34:09Speaker 2: You View The Words Coming Out of My Mouth Rush Hour.
- 34:13Speaker 3: Yeah, he earned twenty five million bucks for the third
- 34:15Speaker 3: movie alone, but in twenty twenty one he was sued
- 34:18Speaker 3: by the IRS for nine point six million dollars in
- 34:20Speaker 3: unpaid tax liabilities Guys. He reached the settlement and agreed
- 34:25Speaker 3: to pay three point six million dollars. It wasn't his
- 34:27Speaker 3: first running with the IRS. According to The Hollywood Reporter,
- 34:29Speaker 3: he settled a fourteen million dollar bill with the IRS
- 34:31Speaker 3: in twenty fourteen.
- 34:34Speaker 2: Like, you probably don't know the answer to this, but
- 34:35Speaker 2: is this a bad accountant or like we know what
- 34:39Speaker 2: we're doing. Maybe we just won't get caught.
- 34:42Speaker 3: It could be no accountant, or it could be we
- 34:45Speaker 3: have a strategy in place. Because what happens whenever you're
- 34:49Speaker 3: doing a movie or you're doing most creative work, Like
- 34:51Speaker 3: this job, I get paid a salary, but any other
- 34:54Speaker 3: jobs that I have, for the most part, I get
- 34:55Speaker 3: paid per me doing it. So they don't take taxes out,
- 35:00Speaker 3: so they give you the whole check and they expect
- 35:01Speaker 3: you to pay out at the end of the year.
- 35:04Speaker 3: And so these actors, they don't get paid from a
- 35:06Speaker 3: company going We've already taken the taxes out. They get there,
- 35:09Speaker 3: Hey we'll pay you five million bucks for this film.
- 35:11Speaker 3: You get the full five million, Okay, just going to
- 35:14Speaker 3: start spending the five million. And so if you have
- 35:16Speaker 3: an accountant and they're like, we should go ahead and
- 35:17Speaker 3: put one point two out, two point one out, then
- 35:21Speaker 3: that's a smart accountant that knows what they're doing. But
- 35:23Speaker 3: someone go, hey, we'll get to that. Well, punt a
- 35:26Speaker 3: couple times west for a delay, ask for a tat
- 35:29Speaker 3: what do they call it, oh, extension extension, And you're
- 35:33Speaker 3: so extended and you owe all this money and maybe
- 35:36Speaker 3: you've spent beyond your extension. But mostly that's what happens
- 35:39Speaker 3: in Hollywood. When these creatives owe all the taxes, it's
- 35:41Speaker 3: because they don't have a job to take dot the taxes,
- 35:43Speaker 3: and so it comes back around they've already spent the
- 35:45Speaker 3: money they should have saved.
- 35:46Speaker 7: But if he he had what nine million, but they
- 35:49Speaker 7: settled for three, so he kind of won, right.
- 35:51Speaker 3: Yeah, but he had another fourteen million dollars ball as well.
- 35:54Speaker 3: The guy just apparently didn't pay taxes at all. I'm like,
- 35:57Speaker 3: sure a pound taxes at the store. Bought some gum
- 35:58Speaker 3: refuse to pay taxes.
- 36:01Speaker 2: T Pain.
- 36:03Speaker 3: T Pain recalled being mega rich and losing it all
- 36:06Speaker 3: and then becoming wealthy again. The singer once had forty
- 36:09Speaker 3: million dollars in the bank, but bad real estate investments
- 36:12Speaker 3: and poor spending decisions like buying a Bugatti and returning
- 36:15Speaker 3: it five months later for four hundred thousand dollars less
- 36:17Speaker 3: than he paid. Yeah, left him broke.
- 36:20Speaker 2: That's what they say. As soon as you drive out
- 36:21Speaker 2: of the lot.
- 36:23Speaker 3: Yeah, it depreciates, and I guess it appreciates like crazy,
- 36:26Speaker 3: probably at the same percentage rate. But if you're buying
- 36:30Speaker 3: a million dollar car, oh dude, I assume that is
- 36:32Speaker 3: like a three million dollar CARTI well, the one that
- 36:35Speaker 3: he bought.
- 36:37Speaker 2: I don't even know what that is.
- 36:40Speaker 3: It's not a Lamborghini. It's not a Lamborghini. I read
- 36:43Speaker 3: and I were fighting about if it was a Lamborghini
- 36:44Speaker 3: or not. It's not a Lamborghini. Both of us were wrong.
- 36:49Speaker 3: We were just we just didn't know, and we were like,
- 36:52Speaker 3: is it a Lamborghini, And so.
- 36:55Speaker 4: We didn't know, so we were both wrong. A base
- 36:58Speaker 4: model of a Bugatti is three million dollar dollars. They
- 37:01Speaker 4: have a five point eight million dollar car a nine
- 37:03Speaker 4: million dollar car and a ten million dollar car, which.
- 37:05Speaker 3: Is why it's easy to go back for four hundred
- 37:07Speaker 3: thousand dollars less at a car starting at run three
- 37:10Speaker 3: million bucks.
- 37:11Speaker 2: MC hammer. That's a very famous story. Yeah, heard of
- 37:14Speaker 2: that one entourage, right, have like a.
- 37:17Speaker 3: Huge entoura travel with a bunch of folks, paid for everybody,
- 37:20Speaker 3: paid for everybody to do stuff. But yeah, Forbes estimated
- 37:24Speaker 3: his nineteen ninety income at thirty three million dollars in
- 37:27Speaker 3: nineteen ninety that's like sixty million now. But he enjoyed
- 37:31Speaker 3: an extravagant lifestyle and built a custom mansion on twelve
- 37:34Speaker 3: point five acres with two swimming pools and nine car garage.
- 37:36Speaker 3: Four dishwashers. They put that in there.
- 37:38Speaker 2: Four guys like, you can do that. You can do
- 37:42Speaker 2: that for five grand. If I really wanted, I could
- 37:44Speaker 2: buy four dishes. Yeah, and that's like the high class dishwasher.
- 37:47Speaker 2: It was a Bugatti dishwasher, yeah, and.
- 37:50Speaker 3: A rehearsal hall. He filed for bankruptcy in nineteen ninety
- 37:53Speaker 3: six with debts totaling at least thirteen million dollars. And
- 37:58Speaker 3: then number one, where you move on, So where's he at?
- 38:02Speaker 2: So he then relaunched his career. But he's like a pastor.
- 38:05Speaker 2: He was a pastor for a while. I don't know
- 38:07Speaker 2: where he is now. I can ask my assistant. Oh,
- 38:10Speaker 2: ask her as see if she knows. She knows exactly
- 38:14Speaker 2: where he is. He's at Target, He's at.
- 38:19Speaker 7: The dollar store.
- 38:22Speaker 2: I have a question. I got poor connection because the
- 38:25Speaker 2: internet sucks. Come on, we have an important question. Let
- 38:28Speaker 2: me try it.
- 38:29Speaker 3: I have a question about the rapper mc hammer. We
- 38:32Speaker 3: were talking about how much money he made and then
- 38:34Speaker 3: he filed for bankruptcy, and we were curious what he's
- 38:37Speaker 3: doing now and if he's rich again.
- 38:46Speaker 8: Mc Hammer definitely had quite the journey after his massive
- 38:50Speaker 8: success in the nineties and then filing for bankruptcy in
- 38:52Speaker 8: nineteen ninety six, he reinvented himself as a tech entrepreneur.
- 38:57Speaker 8: He's been involved in the tech world, investing in coomempanies
- 39:00Speaker 8: like Twitter and a few others. These days, his net
- 39:03Speaker 8: worth is estimated to be around two million dollars, So
- 39:06Speaker 8: he's definitely bounced back pretty good.
- 39:08Speaker 2: Holid.
- 39:09Speaker 3: Yeah, especially from where he was not bad Hammer in
- 39:12Speaker 3: the whole. Yeah, Hammer didn't hurt him. Number One, anybody sports.
- 39:17Speaker 7: Mike Tyson yep oh Mike Tyson.
- 39:20Speaker 3: Mike Tyson is a prime example of a celebrity who
- 39:23Speaker 3: lost it all. Despite earning an estimated four hundred million
- 39:26Speaker 3: dollars during his boxing career, he filed for bankruptcy in
- 39:30Speaker 3: two thousand and three. His lavish spending, which included exotic
- 39:33Speaker 3: animals like tigers, expensive cars, and extravagant mansions, coupled with
- 39:38Speaker 3: legal battles and financial mismanagement, led to his downfall. Some
- 39:43Speaker 3: of the things he's known for buying a two million
- 39:46Speaker 3: dollar bathtub made of solid gold.
- 39:48Speaker 2: That's awesome, the mcdishwashers and gold four of them.
- 39:55Speaker 3: He owned multiple mansions, including one with tiger cages and
- 39:59Speaker 3: a nightclub inside. He kept exotic pets like a white
- 40:02Speaker 3: Bengal tiger, which not only did he pay a lot four,
- 40:05Speaker 3: cost tens of thousands per month to maintain. You gotta
- 40:08Speaker 3: feed at steak, bought dozens of luxury cars, many of
- 40:13Speaker 3: which he gave away his gifts, and spent heavily on jewelry,
- 40:16Speaker 3: closing entourages, reportedly traveling with as many as fifty people.
- 40:20Speaker 3: That's crazy because I traveled like three knuckleheads, and I'm.
- 40:22Speaker 2: Like a lot yeah, I'm in the whole. I tha.
- 40:24Speaker 3: I'm like, I'm gonna be like it's the ham I'm
- 40:25Speaker 3: gonna go broke.
- 40:26Speaker 2: That's what with you three and Cramy two of you
- 40:28Speaker 2: in a room. That's one. Yes, Yeah, that's wild. There
- 40:32Speaker 2: was a you know Jim Gray, the sponsor.
- 40:36Speaker 5: Yeah, he had a book called Some of My Goats
- 40:37Speaker 5: and he has a bunch of stories about all these
- 40:39Speaker 5: different goats.
- 40:39Speaker 7: In one chapter is Tyson.
- 40:41Speaker 5: And he said before one of his fights either with
- 40:42Speaker 5: him in Vegas and he had a lambeau or something
- 40:44Speaker 5: like that, just bought it that day and then crashed
- 40:47Speaker 5: into something and then just gave it to the valet guy.
- 40:50Speaker 5: And he's like, I don't want this anymore, you take
- 40:51Speaker 5: it and just gave it to him.
- 40:53Speaker 2: That's like a five dollars bill to some people.
- 40:55Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 40:55Speaker 3: Probably at the time of what he had, it's like
- 40:59Speaker 3: it's like you get a five dollar bill in your pocket,
- 41:01Speaker 3: You're like, here, man, you can you have this?
- 41:02Speaker 2: Sure?
- 41:03Speaker 3: But then once it all goes away, you wish I
- 41:05Speaker 3: had that five dollar bill back.
- 41:06Speaker 2: Yeah, and then oh that's tough anyway. I that that's
- 41:09Speaker 2: pretty interesting. Okay, Eddie, what's the game all right, So
- 41:17Speaker 2: this is the real name game. So these are all athletes.
- 41:21Speaker 2: I'm going to give you the real name of this person,
- 41:24Speaker 2: and you tell me what athlete it is. Okay, Kevin
- 41:26Speaker 2: and I are playing? Yes, you against Kevin? And how
- 41:29Speaker 2: many do you have? I have seven with like three
- 41:32Speaker 2: backups that are way easier. All right, how do you
- 41:37Speaker 2: want to do it? I'll ask I'll ask them. Just
- 41:41Speaker 2: I'll tell you the name, the full name. No, I
- 41:43Speaker 2: understand the name of the name. How do you want
- 41:44Speaker 2: to do the game? Yeah? So you got How about
- 41:47Speaker 2: you guys? Buzzing with your name? Okay, they're good, Yeah,
- 41:50Speaker 2: all right, buzz buzz, Okay, you're ready, yep, Vincent Edward Jackson, buzz,
- 41:59Speaker 2: No your name, buzz with your name? Kevin Kevin, all right,
- 42:04Speaker 2: go ahead, Kevin, Vincent Jackson the receiver. That'd be too easy.
- 42:08Speaker 2: I'm gonna go. He said you're out, Kevin. I'm gonna go.
- 42:13Speaker 2: Uh buzz, Bobby, go ahead, buy Wrecky Jackson. No, you
- 42:17Speaker 2: both are wrong, Okay, go ahead. That's Bo Jackson. Uh
- 42:23Speaker 2: Bo Jackson is Vincent Edward. At least I didn't get
- 42:25Speaker 2: Vincent Jackson. That's the literal you said it was like,
