- 1:02C as the Voice of Charleston. Jeff Jenkins in for a coop this morning
- 1:06and John is here, John, How you doing. I'm doing great this
- 1:08morning. Good good, it's happy to be here. Happy to be here,
- 1:12all right, good, good job. Yeah, yeah, And we'll
- 1:17kick it off here this morning with financial news and how things are going and
- 1:22what people are talking about since the last time I visited with you, John,
- 1:29I mean, Marcus continues to do pretty good, doesn't it. Yes,
- 1:32it's uh, it's actually the longest stretch without a two percent down day.
- 1:38And I can't remember the timeframe, but it's in a long long time.
- 1:42I mean it's been you know, very very calm and consistent march higher.
- 1:49Really the week before last it was the tech stocks that roared back to
- 1:55life, and last week the tech stocks were flat and the rest of the
- 1:59doll type the stocks powered forwards. So what we're seeing is, certainly the
- 2:05tech is still leading, but but some of the other stocks are starting to
- 2:07participate a little bit, which is a good sun. This is uh this
- 2:14would you say this run was kind of unpredicted? Well, everything in the
- 2:20market is somewhere. Well, I was going to say that, I was
- 2:22going to say, yeah, that's that's that was a very good question.
- 2:23Yeah. The the I mean, certainly there's a saying in the market.
- 2:30It's it's the market climbs a wall of worry. And and really, when
- 2:37you think about this, this upturn we've had in the last year and a
- 2:40half, it's full of worry. People are worried all you know, well
- 2:45the elections coming up, or inflation or this that, or the interest rates.
- 2:50There's Ukraine and all these these things out there to worry about, and
- 2:55the market keeps marching forward. Well why is that. Well, if everybody
- 3:00is euphoric, they've already committed their money, they've already put it in.
- 3:07Who's going to bid it up higher if everybody's already in and bought. And
- 3:12so there's something about having doubts and those doubters being converted to believers as they
- 3:19as they get left behind, that brings the new money in. And so
- 3:23that's that's the saying. That's the market is climbing a wall of worry.
- 3:28And what are I mean again this is prediction or unpredictable. I mean,
- 3:35is there anything that would I mean, would you take like a two percent
- 3:38back like it usually does, or I mean yeah, I mean it's very
- 3:43normal to have a ten percent correction almost annually. At some point during the
- 3:46year you're going to have a downturn. And you know we had a downturn
- 3:51earlier this year that it didn't quite make it to that, but you know,
- 3:54people thought, oh, here we go, and then it turns right
- 3:58around and you know, March is forward again. So it's been a very
- 4:02very calm march. In the midst of all, that's all the worry out
- 4:09there. The nature of your businesses. You deal with people, You help
- 4:12them with financial plans, you help them as they plan their future. You've
- 4:15you know, I'm sure people ask you in this good run, it's in
- 4:20how are things looking for me? I mean, in general, I would
- 4:24think, for one case, are pretty doing pretty well? They're doing pretty
- 4:27well. I mean if you have to be careful about focusing on sectors of
- 4:32the market, thinking that your portfolio should be doing, for instance, like
- 4:36the tech sector. You know, in a portfolio you should be diversified,
- 4:43and those stocks have run much much farther than any others. And so when
- 4:46you look at that and you say, wow, the nasdak's up you know,
- 4:49seventeen percent this year, my portfolio is only up five or six.
- 4:54Well, the Dow is only up three point nine for the year, bonds
- 4:59just now or break even for the year. So if you're in a diversified
- 5:02portfolio in a year like this where you have such a dichotomy of growth and
- 5:09value, you know, just be careful not to chase and set your expectations
- 5:17realistically for the stage of life you're in. You know, if you're up
- 5:20seventeen eighteen twenty percent this year and you're a retiree or close to retirement,
- 5:26that tells me you're probably misallocated. Even though you've done well, you're probably
- 5:30misallocated for the position on stage of life you're in. Because there is a
- 5:34certain amount of the tech talks are doing great, so that kind of the
- 5:38todd lists all boats, right, I mean well to a degree. And
- 5:42you know, people are talking a lot about AI and certainly some of the
- 5:45big companies that have benefited from that are are We all know those names.
- 5:50But really, when you look at a technology like that, what is going
- 5:55to end up happening I think is just like with the Internet, it makes
- 6:00all companies or a lot of companies more efficient as they learn to use those
- 6:03tools in their business. So when they talk about, hey, this is
- 6:08good for earnings, yes, it's good for the companies right now that are
- 6:11making the hardware to make this happen. But ultimately this technology can make businesses
- 6:16more efficient and that drives earnings as a whole forward. It drives efficiency forward,
- 6:23which ultimately continues to drive the market forward. And that's really the story.
- 6:28I mean you could see that even in the Internet when it came about.
- 6:33I mean, yes, everybody knew the story. But now look at
- 6:38companies. Companies all use the Internet in their business and computer and you know,
- 6:46even an industrial company is utilizing those technologies to make themselves more profitable.
- 6:50And that's just a story of progress that keeps the market driving forward over time.
- 6:56John Bedesk weathers Worth Avenue Financial three O four three four five fifty eight
- 7:00fifty eight three or four three four five fifty eight fifty If you don't mind,
- 7:02I did want to talk about AI a little bit. Sure, give
- 7:04me what is it? Because I think a lot of people hear AI AI.
- 7:10What is it? What's happening with it? And how you know?
- 7:15And should people? And you kind of mentioned there a little bit, but
- 7:16just kind of, if you don't mind, go down that road a little
- 7:19bit. And now it's impacting things. Yeah, I like to look at
- 7:24it, like say, more as a broad story of just the progress of
- 7:30you know, of technological progress essentially that keeps driving the market forward. You
- 7:35know, you had that with the Internet, you had that with the industrial
- 7:41age as it came about, and and it it changes the way we do
- 7:46things and and generally it will change the way we do things and make them
- 7:50more efficient, make it cheaper to do things, make it easier to do
- 7:57things, which ultimately drives the profitability of companies forward. You know, I
- 8:03don't know, no one really knows how that all plays out. And I'm
- 8:07sure there'll be bumps along the way as this technology rolls out and people learn
- 8:11how to use it properly. But it is, it's it's pretty amazing.
- 8:16I mean, my my youngest is getting ready to go off to college and
- 8:20we say, hey, well we bought him a laptop for him to go
- 8:24off, and they just this laptop they got he got was a it's something
- 8:31called Copilot Plus. It's a Microsoft deal and it's it's got integrated AI.
- 8:41So it's almost like you can have a conversation with your computer and you can
- 8:46ask it things like let's say you were looking at something last week on your
- 8:48computer and you can't remember where it was or how to find it. You
- 8:54can just ask your computer, Hey, computer, I was looking last week
- 8:58at this, you describe, it finds it for you. It remembers that
- 9:01and finds that for you. So it's almost like an assistant that's that's working
- 9:07for you. It's kind of thing and it's and it's I don't know if
- 9:11it's Zoom or the micro maybe Microsoft teams. I'm no expert at that at
- 9:15this type of ang but you know, if you're in a meeting on video
- 9:22with people and let's say you want to read something, the computer, the
- 9:26AI will artificially generate you looking in and speaking into the camera, even though
- 9:33you might be turned reading something that's a little freaky. Yeah, it is
- 9:41so so and there Again, that's the thing with new technology. I mean,
- 9:45you know, it can be used for for lots of good things,
- 9:48but there's going to be a learning curve there where it's going to be the
- 9:52wild West for a while until people figure out what kind of rules we need
- 9:56around it. Well, yes, and and uh and so right now that
- 10:01is is that the momentum of the tech stocks. Yeah, that's that's really
- 10:07you know, what has powered a lot of that forward. And of course,
- 10:11ultimately, and this is a story that will play out over a decade
- 10:15or more. You know. Ultimately, the story though, will be what
- 10:18companies utilize this to make their businesses more efficient and more profitable. Right now,
- 10:24it's the you know, the people making the chips and making the initial
- 10:31software, but ultimately all of that will be used everywhere across the economy.
- 10:37You know, I know, I know Goop uses it to brainstorm ideas for
- 10:45for commercials and and and things like that. You know that that makes him
- 10:50more efficient when he does that. Someone has showed me here's an example.
- 10:52So we now you know there's an there's an AI thing out there, don't
- 10:58even know what you call it, but you can put in a news story
- 11:01that we've written and we'll give it to it and we'll write it better right
- 11:05and send it back to us. Absolutely, And that's what happens too.
- 11:11You you write a certain way that sounds like you. You know, you
- 11:16know when you read something you wrote, yes, yes, you know the
- 11:18types of language you use and words you pick your computer or the AI you
- 11:26know you can write and it learns those things so that when it spits it
- 11:30back out, it sounds like something that you would have come up with yourself.
- 11:35It's pretty wild. Here's the thing, and John's with us, and
- 11:39you can call about this or any other financial matter three or four three four
- 11:43five fifty eight fifty eight is that I heard this on one of our shows,
- 11:46Kim Commando, that runs on the weekend, right, and she was
- 11:48talking about some guy called in was talking about how you know, they ex
- 11:54actually's church they use. They have a website and some people and have found
- 12:01their church by just googling, and she was talking about and his his question
- 12:05was because she said she had reported that Internet use is down. Google using
- 12:11Google as a search engine is down a lot. This is because of AI
- 12:15and some other things. And so she was pointing that she thinks that some
- 12:20of that might continue to go down. I don't know big steps, but
- 12:24it you know, there's she says, there's other things starting to pick up
- 12:26momentum, right, and I think Google there again. I'm not into the
- 12:33nuts and bolts of all this, but but I believe they that when you
- 12:37search now there are a I generated a synopsis of what you're trying to find.
- 12:43Before you go down and click on the links now, right, so
- 12:46you know they're obviously trying to keep up and get get in with the with
- 12:50the you know, the new technology. Okay, so what would be because
- 12:54someone's going to ask you, maybe they are have, Hey, how can
- 12:58I get into this AI? Think, you know, to be honest with
- 13:01you, just participating in the market. You know that that is the kind
- 13:05of the arc of human progress that gets made. And like I say,
- 13:11the real winners of the AI, we don't know who they're going to be
- 13:16yet. You know, somebody can find a way to use this in their
- 13:20business and and you know, double their profits for instance, And we don't
- 13:26know who that's going to be. But if you're diversified and if you're just
- 13:31participating in the market, you will benefit from this. It's it's just like
- 13:37anything else in the progress that's been made over time. You know, we
- 13:41talk about I've talked before about my great grandmother born in the eighteen nineties,
- 13:46and when she was born there was no cars. There were no cars,
- 13:52there were no airplanes, they didn't have electric in the house. They rode
- 13:54horses, very primitive, and she lived into the nineteen eighties and look at
- 14:00all the progress that was made. That doesn't mean there weren't bad things that
- 14:03happened. You know, there was World War one and two, in the
- 14:05Great Depression and you name it. But look at the progress that happened.
- 14:11So for you to be successful as an investor over that time period, you
- 14:15know, it wasn't picking the hot stock, it was just participating in that
- 14:20progress. And if you would have done that, you know, you almost
- 14:26can't help them make money because that's what companies are doing. They're trying to
- 14:30serve people and be more efficient, more profitable every day. Well, and
- 14:33then someone invested in Eli Whitney and the cotton gin That's right, I mean
- 14:37someone did, right, So yeah, they participated and you know, I
- 14:39don't know. You know these phones, we both have them setting on the
- 14:46desk in front of us. I mean, that is a three trillion dollar
- 14:50company that twenty years ago was was you know, and you say, well,
- 14:56these are these big tech titans, you know, they make all this
- 14:58this the they're the ones that make the money. No. I mean,
- 15:01you know, you can pick any of these people that you see in the
- 15:07news all the time, and you know Microsoft is a good example there.
- 15:09Again, that's a three trillion dollar company and say, oh, this guy
- 15:15he made one hundred and fifty billion dollars. Yes, but that's two point
- 15:18eighty five trillion that was made for other people. I mean, that's that's
- 15:24pretty pretty pretty big. So obviously participation is the key. Yes, And
- 15:31you can do that, and you control the outcome more than you think,
- 15:35you know. If you control the things that are in your realm, that's
- 15:41what's really important. All these things are going to go on out there all
- 15:43the time. It's just the noise and the march of creative destruction that happens
- 15:52in the economy. But you control a lot of things. You control the
- 15:56career you're in and and the education you have, and the income that you
- 16:02ultimately earn by serving people You control when that money does come into you.
- 16:07Are you spending less than you make? Are you budgeting properly? Are you
- 16:11allocating money to investment in savings consistently? All of those things you can control,
- 16:18and if you can control those over a long period of time ten years,
- 16:22twenty years, thirty years, it's hard not to be successful if you're
- 16:27participating in that process. It's just almost impossible, right three oh four three

- 19:14You know, we have Dave Ramsey on here in the evenings. Sure
- 19:18when the Reds aren't on in the summer, and someone called in and I
- 19:22know these these these you know, and sometimes you just kind of shake your
- 19:27head at these stories, but these happen. There was a couple who make
- 19:32four hundred thousand dollars a year, right and they basically lift paycheck to paycheck
- 19:38and it happens, and it's just amazing that happens. But they, you
- 19:44know, they just there were just several things in there that they were you
- 19:48know, you know, had gone upside down on sure, you know,
- 19:52and that happens more frequently than you than you think that it, Yeah,
- 19:56would or should. Yeah, but it's sometimes it's just a few little decisions.
- 20:02You know, I had not one that extreme, but one recently,
- 20:04you know, called in and you know, well and well over a six
- 20:08figure income and it's like, well, gosh, I just can't seem to
- 20:14make up any ground. And you start looking and you know, I just
- 20:18don't know where to cut. But there are three car payments, a boat
- 20:21payment, an ATV payment, you know, those are all not indispensable items.
- 20:30Those are optional items, many of them. And so really it's it's
- 20:34it's about you have to be willing to make those decisions and live within your
- 20:40means, no matter what the income is. It's it's it's not what you
- 20:42make, it's what you do with what you make, and whatever income level
- 20:48you're at, the rules apply. You know, you have to live within
- 20:52your means and you have to create savings and investment consistently, or you will
- 20:56forever be in that trap, kind of running on that amster wheel. If
- 21:00you don't have capital set aside working for you, you're always going to have
- 21:04to do the work. Credit Card credit card debt is not designed to get
- 21:10out of No, it's certainly not. I mean, if you pay the
- 21:14minimum oh I'm paying, you'll never It'll just continue, depending on the company,
- 21:18fifteen to thirty years to pay those off. I mean, it's an
- 21:22unbelievable especially with interest rates as high as that they are right now, credit
- 21:30card debt has become a major major issue. And if you look even in
- 21:34our economy, you know, the consumer is starting to feel the pinch a
- 21:41little bit. Credit Card delinquencies have been on the rise really pretty rapidly over
- 21:47the last several months because I say, interest rates have have have gone up,
- 21:52which drives the borrowing cost up on those those rates tend to be variable,
- 21:56so you're fully exposed to those rising rates. And over the last couple
- 22:03of years, with high inflation, particularly consumers on the lower end of the
- 22:10economic ladder are feeling the pinch. And you know, inflation doesn't cut equally
- 22:18across the economy. If you have assets, if you have stocks, if
- 22:23you have real estate, you already bought your home years ago, those type
- 22:27of things and locked your rate in at three percent. You know, certainly
- 22:32you feel that when you go to the store and you shop, and milk
- 22:37and bread and those things are higher, but many of the major costs are
- 22:41you fix them because you lock them in, and you have assets that are
- 22:47also growing and being affected by inflation, so you keep up with it.
- 22:51You know. That's one of the powerful things about the stock market and why
- 22:56you need to have exposure to the market even as a retiree. The market
- 23:00keeps up with inflation over time because the market is the companies that you own
- 23:07in that market are producing the goods and services that we consume, and so
- 23:11it stands to reason that over time they tend to keep up with rising prices
- 23:15because they're making the things that are rising in prices, and the stock market
- 23:22is the place to historically, you know, it keeps up with inflation,
- 23:29and so the asset owners, you know, you know, you look at
- 23:32the economic statistics and you say, well, it looks like the economy is
- 23:36doing well, but there are really extremes on both ends of the of the
- 23:41of the spectrum. There are a lot of people that have felt the brunt
- 23:45of the pinch of inflation in the last few years that don't feel too good
- 23:49at all about the economy. And then if you have assets, if you've
- 23:56you know, built your portfolio and you know, bought your real estate and
- 23:59things like that over the years, I won't say you've missed it, but
- 24:04but you've kind of participated and benefited from that inflation. John. And what
- 24:11you do and what you do it forth having and financial is you sit down
- 24:14with people, where are they? Where do they want to be? And
- 24:18for different people that's different things, and you can help them get there.
- 24:23Absolutely, yeah, Structure, structure a plan that works for whatever their situation
- 24:29is. And also taking a new account your individual attitude towards money. You
- 24:36know, people think about money differently, have different risk tolerances. And it's
- 24:41important because you know, it's not just math. There's a lot of psychology
- 24:47to what what I do that goes into a financial plan. You know,
- 24:52I can mathematically maybe come up with something that statistically this is going to work
- 24:56the best, but if you're not comfortable with it, you'll never stick to
- 25:02it long term. To get the results. So sometimes it's understanding that and
- 25:07building the play around you know what what that comfort level is, because part
- 25:11of why you do financial planning is not just the money, but also being
- 25:15able to sleep at night, and that is a big part of what I
- 25:19do. Kind of the sounding board and the and the buffer between the individual
- 25:29investor and emotional decision making, because sometimes you'll get questions of someone who say,
- 25:36you know what, I would like to own a second home in South
- 25:40Carolina, or someone who says, you know what, I want to stay
- 25:42here. I want to be able to give to others, you know,
- 25:45or give to my church, you know, those type of things and those
- 25:48so those are you know, just different things and not one. It's not
- 25:52one size fits all. But there are some principles I'm assuming right that that
- 25:56carry through. Yeah, I mean, you know, the base the basic
- 26:00principle is you have to live within your means, whatever that is, and
- 26:04and if you do that, most everything else is going to work out.
- 26:08So really it comes down to budgeting, even as a retire ee. I
- 26:14mean, you may have saved a million dollars or two million dollars for retirement,
- 26:18but you still have to live within your means or that goes away.
- 26:22You know, that's how you let you say, you see high income people
- 26:26that are you know, just as trapped as a as a minimum wage worker
- 26:33somewhere. You know, they make more money, but there's still they have
- 26:37to continue working. They have to continue making that money or it all falls
- 26:41apart very quickly if you don't build assets, you know, pull back that
- 26:48capital and put it in productive assets that are working for you. How long
- 26:52does it take, Like if someone initially calls you to kind of work through
- 26:57things, there's an initial there's initial discussions, and then you can yes.
- 27:02Generally most of the time anymore, we have a ten minute phone call where
- 27:07we just kind of get to know the situation and see what what we're looking
- 27:11at, make sure that we kind of understand each other before we sit down
- 27:17and meet. And then when you come in, it's really a they're going
- 27:23to get to know us type session where we talk about your life, what's
- 27:29important to you, talk a little bit about investments you've done in the past,
- 27:33what's worked, what hasn't worked, what you're comfortable with, what you're
- 27:37not comfortable with, and and then after that, if they want to move
- 27:42forward, if we're in agreement that hey, this makes sense to work,
- 27:47We'll schedule the follow up appointment to actually, you know, move forward and
- 27:52get the plan together. So it's a it's a it's a process. It's
- 27:56it's one of those things that you know, we move at the pace that
- 27:59you're comfortable with. You know, I'm not an arm twister or a high
- 28:03pressure person. It's it's truly a long term relationship that we're trying to build.
- 28:11You know, we want to be the sounding board if something happens in
- 28:12your life, Hey wonder if I should do this or this financially. You
- 28:18know, hopefully our clients are comfortable enough to reach out in those times.
- 28:26You know, you don't have to have a set appointment, because life happens,
- 28:30and we want to be there for you when that happens. You.
- 28:34I think you've said in the past, obviously you have folks of different ages
- 28:40are cross the spectrum, but people really start kind of thinking when they hit
- 28:42their fifties, right, Yeah, I think that's that's generally the case.
- 28:47Yes, you know, because it's still far enough away that that you know,
- 28:52you've got time to make some changes and and really impact your outcome.
- 28:59But it's also that you realize that, hey, most of most of the
- 29:03careers in the rear view here in the road ahead is much shorter than it
- 29:07once was. So there's a lot of anxiety even for people that have done
- 29:11the right things over the years. You know that it's not it's not what
- 29:15am I going to do? But it's like is this enough? You know,
- 29:18those type of questions, how is this? I know how to save
- 29:23money and invest money, Well, how do I turn that into a paycheck
- 29:26when I retire? How do I make sure you know that that it's going
- 29:30to last? How do I make sure that I'm making smart decisions with how
- 29:36to allocate the money? Those are those are the types of questions even a
- 29:40successful saver and investor, because the math changes as you retire. Not only
- 29:45that, it's it's the psychology around it is so so strong. I mean,
- 29:52if you have a history of thirty years of doing the right thing and
- 29:56saving and investing, it's an aotional thing to say, Okay, I'm not
- 30:00doing this anymore. I'm changing everything and the way I've done things for thirty
- 30:07years and now and now there's a minus in my account every month, you
- 30:11know, and understanding that process and trying to be comfortable with that because that's
- 30:18a you know, it's a big change, and it's truly more psychology than
- 30:22math, and it's important, as you mentioned earlier in the show, to
- 30:25keep investing. You do keep investing. Yeah, you know, you still
- 30:30participate in the market even as a retiree. You know, you can moderate.
- 30:34It makes sense to moderate how you're exposed to the market. But you
- 30:38have to have growth assets or inflation will erode your lifestyle if you're not growing
- 30:45with it. Speaking of inflation, as we wind down here with John Bidetta,
- 30:48Fourth Avenue Financial and the interest rates, and you know they've they've kind
- 30:56of been hesitant, right you fed to to cut these back. I mean,
- 31:00is that going to come or there's been well. I think most folks,
- 31:06myself included, think that the next cut, the next move is a
- 31:10cut. When that the timing of that, who knows. I think it's
- 31:15relatively soon we'll see something like that. I think the market, if you
- 31:19look at the way the futures are trading, it's around a sixty percent expectation
- 31:25that the market has that September will be the first rate cut we'll see.
- 31:30There was a little cover in the last inflation numbers, they finally came in
- 31:37a little cooler than expected. They had been running hot and that's what pushed
- 31:41these cuts a little farther out. But the FED still, if you look
- 31:47at their meeting notes, they still are expecting several rate cuts over you know,
- 31:53some one or two this year and then several next year. So we'll
- 31:57see how that plays out. Yeah, something exactly, something something worth watching,
- 32:04uh three or four three four five fifty eight fifty eight three oh four
- 32:07three four five fifty eight fifty eight Jambredette with us at Fourth Avenue Financial.
- 32:13I was at a I was actually at a open house business a couple of
- 32:20weeks ago now up in Jackson County, where they're going to make titanium,
- 32:23you know, and they're going to use this is the Warm Buffet Company,
- 32:27right, They're going to use solar from a Warm Buffet company to write right
- 32:31across Route two where they're making a solar plant and they're going to use it
- 32:37to make this titanium. And you know, you know it's all these are
- 32:42subsidiaries of the Warm Buffet you know. Uh, yeah, we have Brooks,
- 32:45I Havethaway you know, to do this and I just think that's really
- 32:49interesting because more and more you're going to see that, I think, I
- 32:52mean, you're starting to see it, right, renewable energy being used in
- 32:55production. Yeah, many of the uh I believe it's the Walmart. You
- 33:01know, they're powering themselves because they have, you know, an acre or
- 33:07two of under roof. There's a lot of flat space up there that they
- 33:09can utilize in certain areas to generate electricity. And the price of solar has
- 33:15come down a lot, so mathematically, you know, people like that renewable
- 33:22energy. When will this take over? And you know when it takes over
- 33:25is when it makes economic sense to take over. You know, you can
- 33:30wish something to happen and you can say this is the way it should be,
- 33:34but until it makes economic sense, it's going to be hard to push
- 33:37through that change. And with solar in particular, we're finally getting to the
- 33:42point where the cost versus the output is very, very competitive. Just look
- 33:49around your neighborhood. You can start to see that a little bit more too,
- 33:52right, just in residential right, and certainly here in West Virginia.
- 33:57You know, we're not the best profile for it, but you're even starting
- 34:00to see it creep in here. You know, you go out to this
- 34:04southwest and there's a lot of solar out there, and also in West Virginia
- 34:09a big thing is and we'll see how this eventually impacts natural gas. You
- 34:14got the Mountain Valley pipeline now moving, and so there's always been the kind
- 34:17of this glood of natural gas, and I'd be interesting to see how that
- 34:21impacts gas and stocks and those type of things. Yeah. Yeah, you
- 34:24know. The thing about it is, well, none to get too much
- 34:30in politics, but there were this last election, it's like, oh,
- 34:34you can't invest in energy stocks now, and actually they performed relatively well.
- 34:40You can't always use the news and say this is what's going to happen.
- 34:45You know, ultimately stocks are going to trade where the profitability is and most
- 34:51of the things you worry about as an individual turn out to be noise that
- 34:57that passes. You've got to focus long term. Is this company serving people
- 35:01productively? And if so, you know, focus on that and not all
- 35:07of this noise. I mean we're coming up and now on this election pretty
- 35:10quick. There's a lot of noise out there, Yeah, from both sides
- 35:15arguing with each other about the best way to do things. You know,
- 35:20companies are there to be profitable in the service of others, and they're going
- 35:27to continue to try to do that no matter who wins that election. And
- 35:31I think that's what you really need to focus on, you know, focus
- 35:35on, is my company innovating, Is it solving problems for people? Isn't
- 35:39making life easier for people? And if so, you know, block everything
- 35:45off. You do your job, live on less than you make, and
- 35:49put money aside productively and let the market do its job and it will have
- 35:54a plan be steady. Yep, Yeah, that's it all right. So
- 35:59best way to contact you at four fourth having financially they want to have that
- 36:02conversation with you, Yeah, you certainly could call and get on our schedule
- 36:07three oh four seven four six seven nine seven seven. We also have a
- 36:13link on our website where you can book your own call. Just schedule at
- 36:17ten minute consultation at your convenience. We have a tremendous uptake and in folks
- 36:24going online and scheduling meetings with us that way. It's really you know,
- 36:30there again technology as it plays out, who's the winner from that? It's
- 36:35the companies that figure out how to utilize it right, exactly, all right,
- 36:38Johnny's good. See you appreciate it all right, and take care,
- 36:43Yeah exactly, And uh so again we'll watch the market this week, see
- 36:47if the see if the run, I don't know, if it's a run
- 36:50whatever we call it, I mean, and see if that's see if it's
- 36:52a positive week. We're getting close to July fourth, you know, got
- 36:54a holiday coming up, different things. Yeah, yeah, and the volume
- 36:58tends to go down in the summer to a lot of a lot of people
- 37:00go on vacation and uh you know, all in New York ends up in
- 37:04Florida, so so so there's there's less training in the summer. Gently,
- 37:09yeah exactly, all right, all right, John, good seeing you all
