- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Benn and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with our radio Hello Almost Famous Urs. Today we have
- 0:09Speaker 1: a short special episode with the Bachelor's in the City
- 0:14Speaker 1: Peter Weber and Dustin Kendrick. Please welcome them to the show.
- 0:18Speaker 1: Hello guys, Hey, how's it going good? How are you good?
- 0:24Speaker 1: You guys are the hosts of Bachelor's in the City,
- 0:29Speaker 1: So listen, gotta ask. It's kind of like the mail
- 0:33Speaker 1: take on Sex in the City. So have you ever
- 0:36Speaker 1: watched the show? Oh? Showed it? That was a huge
- 0:43Speaker 1: inspiration for us. When we were trying to figure out
- 0:45Speaker 1: what are we gonna do with the podcast, we had
- 0:47Speaker 1: the idea and then yeah, I think we originally we
- 0:52Speaker 1: wanted to do our little um o our profile picture
- 0:55Speaker 1: to our cover art as uh, getting black suits right,
- 0:59Speaker 1: just like they do in the Indian with the little
- 1:01Speaker 1: black dresses and like the initial season one poster. Yeah,
- 1:05Speaker 1: but the demand version of it, the man, we kind
- 1:09Speaker 1: of copied that a little bit with with our dogs.
- 1:12Speaker 1: We had the Dustin and I and then Trip and
- 1:14Speaker 1: Sophia and we kind of had the four of us
- 1:16Speaker 1: walking right now. There have we seen Sex in the City?
- 1:21Speaker 1: What have you not seen this Miranda drama going on. Right, Okay,
- 1:25Speaker 1: so you have watched season one through six, the originals
- 1:30Speaker 1: and then the movies and now just like that, just
- 1:34Speaker 1: like that, maybe you well he hasn't caught up. Yeah,
- 1:39Speaker 1: it's okay. So so we moved to the city, right,
- 1:41Speaker 1: I got Dustin moved out with me. We had this
- 1:43Speaker 1: great time. Then we started the podcast and all that,
- 1:45Speaker 1: and then living in the city. I had always heard
- 1:48Speaker 1: of the show Sex in the City always, you know,
- 1:49Speaker 1: a lot of friends have been fans of it, you know,
- 1:51Speaker 1: my my parents have watched it all and but I
- 1:54Speaker 1: never got into it. And then living in the city
- 1:56Speaker 1: that inspired me to really give it like a shot.
- 1:58Speaker 1: And immediately I got hooked because there's so many things
- 2:00Speaker 1: you can immediately recognize and you relate to um once
- 2:03Speaker 1: you get to know the city a little bit. And
- 2:05Speaker 1: so I'm not all the ways. I'm maybe like a
- 2:06Speaker 1: couple episodes into the second season, but I did spoil
- 2:10Speaker 1: and watch the first episode of the new l show, yes,
- 2:14Speaker 1: as as most people would after all the hype that
- 2:17Speaker 1: was surrounding it. Nick Vile actually also started watching Sex
- 2:22Speaker 1: in the City this year, and he was texting me
- 2:24Speaker 1: through it and he was like, I understand my fan
- 2:27Speaker 1: base so much more now watching this show. Yeah, I
- 2:33Speaker 1: feel like, yeah, people in Bats for Nation, they definitely
- 2:35Speaker 1: are big fans of Sex in the City too. I've
- 2:37Speaker 1: noticed that, yes, hopeless. You know, there's like there's that
- 2:40Speaker 1: underlying theme of like wanting to find your person. I
- 2:45Speaker 1: gotta ask who are you guys? What's your character? Like?
- 2:48Speaker 1: Who are you most? Who do you most resonate with? Well,
- 2:54Speaker 1: because you want, I'll let you go first us and
- 2:56Speaker 1: oh man, this is a tough one. Um. I think
- 3:03Speaker 1: sometimes I do act like a Miranda because I'm kind
- 3:06Speaker 1: of like grumpy and have an attitude every now not
- 3:08Speaker 1: an attitude, but you have the one telling me we
- 3:12Speaker 1: were trying to put our faces on one of the
- 3:14Speaker 1: cover arts for an episode we did and You're like, no,
- 3:16Speaker 1: I'm carrying. I'm like, no, I'm carried. Everybody wants to
- 3:18Speaker 1: be carried. Yeah, But after watching Carry More, I'm like,
- 3:22Speaker 1: I'm not really carry I don't know. It's hard to say.
- 3:25Speaker 1: I think I have little pieces of all of them,
- 3:27Speaker 1: you know, I think who's who's the um, not Miranda,
- 3:31Speaker 1: not the not Samantha Charlotte. I think I have a
- 3:35Speaker 1: little bit of Charlotte and a little bit of carrying me?
- 3:37Speaker 1: You do you have Charlotte for real? Okay? And what
- 3:40Speaker 1: is it about Charlotte that you resonate with? I think
- 3:45Speaker 1: just like her, never ending, just hopeless romantic mindset. Um.
- 3:51Speaker 1: I see. I mean I'm not to that extent obviously,
- 3:53Speaker 1: but you know, I definitely can relate a lot to
- 3:56Speaker 1: that male version male form um. Yeah, I don't know
- 4:00Speaker 1: just from you. Guys are like golden, golden retriever. She's
- 4:02Speaker 1: just happy, just always. Uh that's where Yeah, I see it.
- 4:06Speaker 1: I've been told that a couple of times, and I guess, yeah,
- 4:08Speaker 1: maybe watching Charlotte, I can see why people would say
- 4:11Speaker 1: that if I act like that. But yeah, a little
- 4:13Speaker 1: bit of Charlotte and uh okay, what about what about you? Actually,
- 4:15Speaker 1: I'm definitely mostly in my heart as Charlotte, but I
- 4:19Speaker 1: definitely know what you're talking about, Destin. I feel like
- 4:22Speaker 1: in your twenties, everybody wants to be carried, but you're not.
- 4:26Speaker 1: But you're not. And then like you kind of realize
- 4:29Speaker 1: who you are in your thirties, and that's almost always Miranda,
- 4:32Speaker 1: because you're eating the duncan hinds out of the tin
- 4:36Speaker 1: ordering Chinese food and just wanting to watch your tevow
- 4:39Speaker 1: you know, your TVR. She's just the one that you
- 4:42Speaker 1: just don't want to be and then you realize, you
- 4:44Speaker 1: know what, it's okay to be, Like, yeah, I'm getting
- 4:47Speaker 1: more comfortable with It's funny. My girlfriend I asked her this,
- 4:51Speaker 1: I'm like, who are you? And she's like, I'm Samantha.
- 4:53Speaker 1: I'm like, what, wait, what now? You gotta be worried Samantha.
- 5:00Speaker 1: I don't, I don't, I don't see Samantha. I didn't realize.
- 5:03Speaker 1: I kind of got filled in the tea between Carrie
- 5:06Speaker 1: and Samantha off screen on screen with her, and I
- 5:10Speaker 1: don't like it. That's so to me. I was so bummed.
- 5:14Speaker 1: And I haven't even finished the show yet, right, but
- 5:15Speaker 1: I was so bummed to hear that because they their
- 5:17Speaker 1: characters on screen or just they deliver so perfectly and
- 5:20Speaker 1: like they go together so well, And that's such a
- 5:23Speaker 1: shame to hear that that that just couldn't continue. Just
- 5:26Speaker 1: egos and whatnot. I don't know, there's just a lot
- 5:28Speaker 1: of things about it that we really need to ignore
- 5:30Speaker 1: these days. Like I really hope that I can watch
- 5:33Speaker 1: the old episodes and not think about the new episodes.
- 5:37Speaker 1: I hope I am able to go back and watch
- 5:39Speaker 1: old episodes and not be able to associate their drama
- 5:42Speaker 1: in real life. I'm never going to go back in
- 5:44Speaker 1: time and be like, oh and Big Big Dies and Miranda,
- 5:49Speaker 1: I didn't think and all that. I didn't think that
- 5:52Speaker 1: she was gonna end up with Mr Big. I truly didn't.
- 5:55Speaker 1: I thought they were gonna tease you on and off,
- 5:57Speaker 1: on and off throughout all the seasons. But I thought
- 5:59Speaker 1: something at the end would would have happened where they
- 6:01Speaker 1: didn't end up together. Had so much baggage off and
- 6:03Speaker 1: on baggage it's insane. Yeah. Well, I'm really glad that
- 6:07Speaker 1: you guys were inspired by the show to create your podcast.
- 6:10Speaker 1: That's awesome. So, Dustin, you have a girlfriend. How much
- 6:24Speaker 1: do you reveal on your podcast about your relationship with her?
- 6:27Speaker 1: Because I have another podcast called I Don't Get It
- 6:30Speaker 1: where we talk about more and more about relationships, and
- 6:35Speaker 1: you know, that's where we're like complain and celebrate or
- 6:38Speaker 1: significant others. But like, it's it's cool because I'm married
- 6:41Speaker 1: and I have a kid on the way, my sister
- 6:43Speaker 1: is engaged, and then my other friend is single, so
- 6:47Speaker 1: we have like all the different points of view, what
- 6:51Speaker 1: what are But like, it's funny because the one that's dating,
- 6:55Speaker 1: she wants so badly to talk about her dates when
- 6:58Speaker 1: she comes, I guess is actually towards Peter too. She
- 7:02Speaker 1: wants to talk about her dates on the podcast. But
- 7:04Speaker 1: then guys listen to the podcast and they're like, so
- 7:09Speaker 1: I heard that you didn't like it when I did this.
- 7:12Speaker 1: So where where's the worry? Do you guys worry about
- 7:15Speaker 1: what you reveal and do not reveal on the podcast? Uh?
- 7:19Speaker 1: With cats, I mean there's been times I've talked too
- 7:22Speaker 1: much or said something Peter. She got mad at me
- 7:24Speaker 1: and Peter one time, But uh, what's about Because talking
- 7:30Speaker 1: about when I first moved here, I was dating all
- 7:32Speaker 1: these different women, she was like, Hey, before you guys
- 7:36Speaker 1: got together, it was um, but yeah, I don't know.
- 7:40Speaker 1: I'm pretty open and transparent. Um, I've asked her if
- 7:43Speaker 1: I could talk about certain things. Um, you guys you
- 7:46Speaker 1: brought her on the pods. Yeah, she's been on the podcast. Yeah.
- 7:50Speaker 1: I just I think, especially for us to be in
- 7:52Speaker 1: this light, there is a bound of privacy that should
- 7:55Speaker 1: just be between me and her, every every listener every
- 7:58Speaker 1: fan of vagination doesn't necessarily have shouldn't have access to
- 8:03Speaker 1: my life and my conversations that are things that we
- 8:06Speaker 1: go through and whatnot. But I think overall, I I'm
- 8:09Speaker 1: open door, right are you okay? You don't think I
- 8:12Speaker 1: am has what it has to do with me? You'll
- 8:15Speaker 1: you'll just throw it all out there and hey, let's
- 8:17Speaker 1: get an episode go, let's get an episode going. We
- 8:22Speaker 1: have we have we have a funny joke. It's like, yeah,
- 8:24Speaker 1: when I had some whatever, some stuff come up and
- 8:26Speaker 1: uh and I'm like, DestinE, you gotta carry you weight. Man.
- 8:28Speaker 1: It's just been it's just a me doing this. We've
- 8:30Speaker 1: gotta talk about all this drama. You gotta carry weight
- 8:32Speaker 1: a little bit. No one cares about my drama. Look,
- 8:34Speaker 1: you guys are not just co host but your roommates.
- 8:38Speaker 1: So what are the girl the girl rules when it
- 8:41Speaker 1: comes to the house, like it's Dustin able to have
- 8:44Speaker 1: his his girlfriend sleep over every day? Or is that
- 8:48Speaker 1: is that annoying pet heard to move in? He's like,
- 8:52Speaker 1: hey you can hey have her moving in? Man, Listen, listen, listen.
- 8:57Speaker 1: I feel like I am someone I am. I know
- 9:00Speaker 1: that I guess you could I guess maybe not all
- 9:02Speaker 1: roommates are like this. I'm someone like I'm always like
- 9:04Speaker 1: the more people, the better, the more people, the bigger party,
- 9:07Speaker 1: let's have a good time. I'm not like that. Um.
- 9:10Speaker 1: And so yeah, I think I probably pushed you guys
- 9:14Speaker 1: to moving with each other more than you guys have
- 9:15Speaker 1: probably had the conversation yourself. So sorry, sorry about that. Um,
- 9:20Speaker 1: But yeah, I don't know. I just like having people over,
- 9:21Speaker 1: like like the energy. I'm not I'm not here a lot, right,
- 9:24Speaker 1: so I'm gone like half the month. So when I
- 9:26Speaker 1: am home, you know, I'm usually alone on the way
- 9:29Speaker 1: over right with my hotel unless I'm going now with
- 9:32Speaker 1: the crew. So it's you know, I like to get
- 9:33Speaker 1: my social time in when I'm home. Pete wants to
- 9:36Speaker 1: have a full house moment. He wants to have a
- 9:38Speaker 1: year where there's like eight people in the the same
- 9:42Speaker 1: household and everyone. That's what he wants. I'm not like that.
- 9:46Speaker 1: How do you How do you negotiate that? That is
- 9:49Speaker 1: not an easy type of person to live with if
- 9:52Speaker 1: you're somebody like yourself, destined who likes to have their
- 9:55Speaker 1: private space. Yeah, there's been plenty times I just tell
- 10:01Speaker 1: Pete no, as we're as as we're about to add
- 10:07Speaker 1: a roommate to the mids. Okay we are? Or is
- 10:10Speaker 1: that the girlfriend? No, no, no, you're adding a new roommate.
- 10:14Speaker 1: You just mentioned before we started recording that you're moving
- 10:17Speaker 1: out of that apartment into a new one. Who's the
- 10:19Speaker 1: new roommate? Possibly you may know him. Let me guess,
- 10:23Speaker 1: Let her guess, Let her guess. Let's give you a
- 10:26Speaker 1: all right Chicago connection. Extremely fit, extremely fit, this great
- 10:35Speaker 1: guy all around. Some people may call him like a
- 10:38Speaker 1: Teddy Bear bachelor alum um. Oh, it would wouldn't be
- 10:44Speaker 1: Riley not Riley football football background, football background, NFL background.
- 10:53Speaker 1: Oh my god, it's gonna be so obvious when you
- 10:57Speaker 1: say it. I'm gonna be so annoyed at myself. All right,
- 11:00Speaker 1: final on this to give it away with Becca Becca season,
- 11:05Speaker 1: I think it was Becca's football player. Who did he plays?
- 11:10Speaker 1: He's played for a lot of teams. He's played for
- 11:12Speaker 1: the Lions, the Jags, Patriots. He's got a cousin em
- 11:15Speaker 1: batchlorination as well. Oh he's not oh he oh Clay Clay, Yes, Okay, Graham,
- 11:24Speaker 1: I'm so glad I got that. That That would have been
- 11:25Speaker 1: so annoying. So Clay Harbor is going to be your
- 11:28Speaker 1: new roommate, Clay is moving moving to New York? Yeah,
- 11:33Speaker 1: is he going to be a new podcast coast? I
- 11:35Speaker 1: thought about that. I don't know. I guess we'll actrinate
- 11:39Speaker 1: him into Bachelor's in the city now, I guess officially
- 11:42Speaker 1: a bachelor in the city. He's more of a bachelor
- 11:44Speaker 1: than I am. I guess. So he's not taking my
- 11:46Speaker 1: spot nowhere. You're gonna have to do some more photo
- 11:49Speaker 1: shoots for the cover. I got to add him in
- 11:51Speaker 1: like a photoshop. How do you foresee him mixing into
- 11:55Speaker 1: the roommate chemistry. I'm excited because I'm getta get into
- 11:59Speaker 1: the best shape of my life living with Clay Harbor.
- 12:02Speaker 1: I have zero doubt about that. So that's a huge plus.
- 12:07Speaker 1: Let's let's do some fun questions like who's the cook?
- 12:09Speaker 1: Is somebody in charge of dinner every night? Or are
- 12:12Speaker 1: you you go and pick up your own dinner type people?
- 12:15Speaker 1: I think it's every man for himself. I think though,
- 12:18Speaker 1: like here, me and Peter had dinner night plenty of
- 12:20Speaker 1: times where we would like family style, everyone kind of
- 12:23Speaker 1: trip up chip in and uh we just um cook
- 12:28Speaker 1: it up and boose it up good time. So I'll
- 12:30Speaker 1: be honest with du Dustin' dusn't carries most of the
- 12:33Speaker 1: weight in that department. I'm not. I'm not gifted in
- 12:35Speaker 1: the whole cooking field. The one thing I can do
- 12:37Speaker 1: is steak. Can do a mean steak, and I do
- 12:39Speaker 1: you know, chip in with that once in a while. Um.
- 12:42Speaker 1: But honestly, in New York too, I would say we
- 12:46Speaker 1: we really like eat out. It's almost cheaper to eat out,
- 12:49Speaker 1: it is, andlike the whole prep work, and we probably
- 12:52Speaker 1: eat out like eight at least the time. Right. New
- 12:55Speaker 1: York is so expensive, I don't even I don't even
- 12:58Speaker 1: know which way to go to say. It's insane. It is.
- 13:01Speaker 1: It's truly insane. In the uber prices, the taxi prices.
- 13:06Speaker 1: I was there from my baby shower a couple of
- 13:07Speaker 1: weeks ago, Like, are you guys kidding me? It's like
- 13:11Speaker 1: forty five dollars to go twenty blocks these days. Always
- 13:14Speaker 1: take a taxi if you can in the city. Have
- 13:17Speaker 1: you learned the subway? I find it to be extremely confusing.
- 13:20Speaker 1: Subways easy once you get going. It is confusing at first.
- 13:23Speaker 1: It is once you get going, though, we uh, we
- 13:27Speaker 1: did our little like educational I would say, experience of
- 13:31Speaker 1: learning the whole subway system. That was like still pandemic, right,
- 13:35Speaker 1: so there was nobody on the subways. It was just
- 13:37Speaker 1: Dustin and I. And then now it's crazy, you see,
- 13:40Speaker 1: it's it's pretty much filled up again. Back to back
- 13:42Speaker 1: to normal, I mean normal levels for what I've seen.
- 13:44Speaker 1: But yeah, it takes a little bit. So you're gonna
- 13:47Speaker 1: be three Chicago guys living in New York compare and
- 13:51Speaker 1: contrast the cities. Are you guys going to be Chicago
- 13:54Speaker 1: at heart always? And you're just like loving your little
- 13:57Speaker 1: sex in the city life for a couple of years
- 13:59Speaker 1: right now, well to Chicago, but um yeah, uh, oh
- 14:04Speaker 1: my god. Sorry, you lived in Chicago for freaking like
- 14:08Speaker 1: nine months, Peter, and I'm associating it with Chicago now.
- 14:12Speaker 1: He doesn't get the credit. He doesn't get the credit yet.
- 14:14Speaker 1: We can't give him the Chicago credit. Actually, I lived
- 14:17Speaker 1: there when I was little, when I was younger, so
- 14:18Speaker 1: it's a couple of years. Okay, we can say that then, Okay,
- 14:22Speaker 1: So how how do you feel about New York? I
- 14:25Speaker 1: think it's so yeah, I think it's kind of like
- 14:27Speaker 1: like you said, it is almost like sex in the city,
- 14:30Speaker 1: Like we all have our own experience as we come back, UM,
- 14:34Speaker 1: talk about dates, talk about experiences and all kinds of
- 14:38Speaker 1: different stuff. It's um, it's interesting, it's fun. I feel
- 14:41Speaker 1: like we right now, I live in some of the
- 14:42Speaker 1: best years, like truly, some of the best years of
- 14:44Speaker 1: our lives. And I'm excited because I feel like I've
- 14:47Speaker 1: said that multiple times in my life and I continue
- 14:50Speaker 1: to keep saying it. So I'm hoping that trend continues.
- 14:52Speaker 1: But truly, right now, it's just from my perspective. You know,
- 14:57Speaker 1: I came out to New York thinking I want to
- 14:59Speaker 1: do New York for like year or two. Um, you know,
- 15:02Speaker 1: get the feel, and then you know, I move here.
- 15:04Speaker 1: I'm like, all right, I'm gonna do New York for
- 15:05Speaker 1: like a year or two or maybe I never leave.
- 15:07Speaker 1: I don't know. Um, I'm definitely kind of um like
- 15:11Speaker 1: a Jack Dawson type attitude, Titanic like, wherever it takes me,
- 15:15Speaker 1: I'm going. You know that my child is named after Jack?
- 15:19Speaker 1: Is that it is? That's the inspiration? Show? Yes, all
- 15:27Speaker 1: I need are a few blank sheets of paper. That's
- 15:30Speaker 1: the kind of guy you are. No way there you
- 15:33Speaker 1: go exactly. Um, I gotta have some of his monologues
- 15:36Speaker 1: and memorize, but don't even get me started. Um yeah,
- 15:42Speaker 1: so yeah, So I'm just kind of that in that
- 15:44Speaker 1: that phase of my life right now and living and
- 15:46Speaker 1: join it and living. Obviously it does and we'll see,
- 15:48Speaker 1: you know what tomorrow, the next month, the next year
- 15:51Speaker 1: brings who knows. Um, but I'm loving New York and
- 15:54Speaker 1: you know, if I'm here for a long term, i'd
- 15:56Speaker 1: love that. To Dustin, we had Peter on just like
- 16:08Speaker 1: about a month or so ago, and we're talking about
- 16:11Speaker 1: like his favorite kinds of dates in the city. Do
- 16:14Speaker 1: you have one that maybe he wouldn't have been so
- 16:16Speaker 1: open to sharing himself. And there's like he was really
- 16:20Speaker 1: nervous before he went out, or he brought a girl
- 16:22Speaker 1: home and you met her, anything like that. Oh boy,
- 16:26Speaker 1: oh boy, what Peter. No, No, he's like shaking right now.
- 16:30Speaker 1: He's like Dustin. It'll get people to listen to your
- 16:35Speaker 1: podcast if you give us gossip. I will say, you know,
- 16:42Speaker 1: Peter has gone on dates here in New York. Um,
- 16:45Speaker 1: he's a romantic guy. I'm not gonna put his business
- 16:48Speaker 1: on the front street. I will tell you a funny story.
- 16:50Speaker 1: He might get a little embarrassed about. I have no
- 16:54Speaker 1: idea where you're going with this. Well, maybe I shouldn't,
- 16:57Speaker 1: Maybe I shouldn't. Well, I don't know. Peter is such
- 16:59Speaker 1: a sweet guy, like I've never seen someone so sweet
- 17:04Speaker 1: in my life. I remember we went out one time
- 17:08Speaker 1: and no, I can't say a little bit. Give me,
- 17:14Speaker 1: give me like a hint of where it's going. I'll
- 17:16Speaker 1: prove yes, or now I'm giving it a I'm gonna
- 17:18Speaker 1: give it a very my this is like never mind,
- 17:23Speaker 1: never mind, never There have been books written about Peter.
- 17:33Speaker 1: I think a lot of out there, no we get
- 17:36Speaker 1: I don't like exactly. I don't need anything else to
- 17:38Speaker 1: put out there. I'm a very private person. I'll say
- 17:40Speaker 1: I'll say this. I'll say this, Pete such a sweet guy.
- 17:43Speaker 1: Like we went out one time. We were all drunk um.
- 17:46Speaker 1: This guy is so innocent and lovely. I two girls
- 17:49Speaker 1: were really trying to have a like one in him,
- 17:51Speaker 1: like two girls one in him at the same time.
- 17:54Speaker 1: And this man is just like, no, I'm sorry, that's
- 17:56Speaker 1: not me. He's very I don't I've never seen someone
- 17:59Speaker 1: like Pete. He's just a sweet character. You know, I
- 18:02Speaker 1: don't know if I don't know, but that was my story. Look,
- 18:08Speaker 1: but I mean most guys would be like, let's go.
- 18:12Speaker 1: You know, I don't know pizza. He's a sweet guy.
- 18:14Speaker 1: I was. I think it was a little naive that night,
- 18:16Speaker 1: Benny naive. I went with sweet and that's not me,
- 18:24Speaker 1: that's not him. He's a good guy. Um, he's a
- 18:28Speaker 1: romantic Honestly, sometimes he gets on my nerves with it.
- 18:30Speaker 1: He's like, dude, like this day was so romantic. The light,
- 18:35Speaker 1: the chemistry bro Like I don't know, Like, honestly, you
- 18:38Speaker 1: called me the chemistry doctor Dustin could be could be
- 18:41Speaker 1: a relationship guru, expert, um advice giver. Because the amount
- 18:45Speaker 1: of conversations that we've had. I wish the people it
- 18:49Speaker 1: could be a fly on the wall and just like,
- 18:51Speaker 1: oh my god that people are listening, but they would
- 18:53Speaker 1: probably be so shocked. It probably would be. It's actually
- 18:56Speaker 1: really funny. I make fun of people all the time,
- 18:59Speaker 1: you know, blesses are He's a he's a champ. He
- 19:01Speaker 1: knows I I always make fun of him, but it's
- 19:03Speaker 1: all out of love. We were talking about something today. Um,
- 19:06Speaker 1: I don't know, but I love Pete he's got a
- 19:08Speaker 1: great heart, kind heart. Um, he's looking for a lot
- 19:11Speaker 1: of his life. An uh yeah, well, what's the most
- 19:14Speaker 1: romantic thing that you guys have witnessed each other do
- 19:17Speaker 1: for a girl? Now I'm thinking that Peter has got
- 19:22Speaker 1: you know, um, you know, flights at his fingertips, like
- 19:25Speaker 1: he could actually fly a girl to Paris for dinner
- 19:29Speaker 1: for the night and really be like Mr Big this
- 19:34Speaker 1: is true, This is true. Um Um. I will say, uh,
- 19:39Speaker 1: I gave Dustin the best roommate Christmas present of unlimited flights,
- 19:45Speaker 1: so that's haven't given a girl that yet, but I
- 19:48Speaker 1: gave I gave my roommate, my best friend that. Um,
- 19:51Speaker 1: so that's probably the most romantic thing I've done for you.
- 19:53Speaker 1: That was romantic. I would say, well, I think some
- 19:57Speaker 1: plastic is for me. It's very romantic. I know Pete
- 20:00Speaker 1: loves walks, walks on the park, I know a love
- 20:03Speaker 1: Central Park and whatnot. Um, I think I think that's
- 20:07Speaker 1: honestly one of the best dates. Like me and my
- 20:09Speaker 1: girlfriend Cat, we love walking. We love walking and just
- 20:12Speaker 1: like in New York, so great love late late night walks,
- 20:15Speaker 1: which yeah we loved it the last night. Yeah, we
- 20:18Speaker 1: just love like a good walk. Sometimes, you know, we
- 20:21Speaker 1: don't know where we're going, we don't make plans. If
- 20:23Speaker 1: we see an interesting bar restaurant, we just jump in.
- 20:26Speaker 1: And that's one of the beauty is about New York.
- 20:28Speaker 1: You can literally walk down the street, see a vibe,
- 20:31Speaker 1: see the atmosphere of something and it's beautiful, and just
- 20:34Speaker 1: jump right into it. So do you think New York
- 20:37Speaker 1: is a more romantic city than l A In Chicago?
- 20:41Speaker 1: I think so the l A for sure. Um, I
- 20:46Speaker 1: love Chicago, I love Chicago. I do miss Chicago. Um,
- 20:51Speaker 1: New York is hard and dating though it's it's really
- 20:55Speaker 1: you have so many people here, so many people. But
- 20:58Speaker 1: don't you guys have the upper hand, because aren't. There's
- 21:00Speaker 1: so many more single girls and guys. That's what they say.
- 21:05Speaker 1: I know. I noticed it when we're in the streets.
- 21:08Speaker 1: You see women everywhere. Honestly you do. It's insane. Yeah,
- 21:12Speaker 1: this is I mean, yeah, for sure that there's like
- 21:14Speaker 1: the mecca of just I think, single life and being
- 21:16Speaker 1: able to have a good chance of meeting someone. But
- 21:19Speaker 1: definitely I would say New York's more romantic than l A. Um.
- 21:22Speaker 1: The only thing I missed about l A or I mean,
- 21:24Speaker 1: I mean it's a lot. I miss a lot of
- 21:26Speaker 1: stuff about l A obviously, you know, primarily just my
- 21:29Speaker 1: family being out there, but um, i'd really miss like
- 21:33Speaker 1: the mountain scene and like just like especially the mountains
- 21:36Speaker 1: like on the on the ocean, like on the coast
- 21:38Speaker 1: on pH um, you just don't get anything like that
- 21:41Speaker 1: here on the East Coast. And that's like the biggest thing.
- 21:43Speaker 1: I'm like, it's been like a year, I haven't really
- 21:46Speaker 1: experienced like that vibe, that kind of um just setting
- 21:50Speaker 1: in a while. But yeah, romantic side definitely goes to
- 21:54Speaker 1: um to New York. Gotcha? All Right? Well, guys, I
- 21:58Speaker 1: really am grateful for you joining us. Ben and I
- 22:02Speaker 1: are going to join you guys on on The Bachelor's
- 22:07Speaker 1: in the City podcast. I'm very excited. He getting ready
- 22:10Speaker 1: to talk sex in the City. We are we gonna
- 22:16Speaker 1: go into that because then we're gonna have to bring
- 22:18Speaker 1: east In, our producer on because he has he can
- 22:21Speaker 1: articulate his feelings about the show even more than I can.
- 22:25Speaker 1: Before I let you guys go, though, just quickly, are
- 22:28Speaker 1: you watching this season um of of The Bachelor? Oh? Yeah,
- 22:34Speaker 1: absolutely definitely watching. Okay, so who do you see making
- 22:39Speaker 1: top three and Dustin, who do you see Peter being
- 22:44Speaker 1: able to take? Who do you see Peter taking a
- 22:47Speaker 1: date with? Oh, I'm just trying to get some good headlines.
- 22:54Speaker 1: Who should Peter date from this season if she doesn't
- 22:56Speaker 1: end up with Clayton? Okay, Um, this was tough because
- 23:02Speaker 1: we we went back and forth, we talked on our
- 23:04Speaker 1: podcast because they really try to trick you up in
- 23:07Speaker 1: the top three like they honestly after they did all
- 23:11Speaker 1: those all those franking by edits where you think you
- 23:13Speaker 1: see the top of three and now we see, Okay,
- 23:15Speaker 1: it's not this. Yeah, absolutely not. I totally forgot the
- 23:19Speaker 1: names already. I know it's been a week now since
- 23:21Speaker 1: we've seen there's a hiatus. There's a girl. I think
- 23:24Speaker 1: that's going to be the bat story. I think everyone
- 23:26Speaker 1: she kind of looks like Hannah Brown. Everyone's been saying
- 23:30Speaker 1: so because she looks like Hannah Brown, do we see
- 23:32Speaker 1: her being with already her her heart? Peter, you were
- 23:38Speaker 1: on our podcast literally twelve hours before the excerpts came
- 23:43Speaker 1: out about you in Hannah's book. Um, you're yeah, you're right,
- 23:49Speaker 1: actually yeah about that, we were like, wow, that was
- 23:52Speaker 1: unfortunate that we didn't tape the next day to get
- 23:54Speaker 1: his grown reaction Dustin without saying too much, because I
- 23:58Speaker 1: won't put you too much on the spot. Guys, were
- 24:01Speaker 1: you around for his reaction to these quotes being released? Oh? Yeah,
- 24:06Speaker 1: I I was. I was the one that one that
- 24:08Speaker 1: told me about it. Yeah. I'm like, um, buddy, you
- 24:14Speaker 1: want to sit down for this one. Yeah, I was
- 24:15Speaker 1: the one who told him about it. Um, I was
- 24:18Speaker 1: shocked that came out. I was like, holy, I honestly
- 24:21Speaker 1: I was shocked too. And now that I've had more
- 24:23Speaker 1: time to kind of like, I mean, not now it's
- 24:25Speaker 1: like old news, like it really cares now, But um,
- 24:28Speaker 1: I was. I was shocked that she did that. I
- 24:31Speaker 1: treat like, I mean no disrespect and like I you know,
- 24:33Speaker 1: she's the sweetest, um, but I was shocked that she
- 24:36Speaker 1: did that, mainly like for her boy her boyfriend too
- 24:38Speaker 1: that you know she's serious with and like brainstuff Like
- 24:41Speaker 1: I just wouldn't have done that if I was dating
- 24:43Speaker 1: someone seriously, and I don't know, I felt like it
- 24:45Speaker 1: was a little bit trail of privacy. Um, it's not
- 24:49Speaker 1: not some not something that I would do to someone, um,
- 24:52Speaker 1: especially not bringing up to their attention before, so I
- 24:55Speaker 1: thought I could have been handled a little bit better.
- 24:56Speaker 1: But hey, I think it's sold a lot of books,
- 24:59Speaker 1: so don't think she really probably regrets it, but it
- 25:03Speaker 1: is what it is. Okay. So back to Susie, so
- 25:08Speaker 1: we get okay, So so possibly he can we can
- 25:12Speaker 1: see these two together, I Peter, was Susie, Peter, what
- 25:16Speaker 1: do you think about that? She's very cute. I think
- 25:18Speaker 1: Susie has um she looks like a sweetheart. Um, I
- 25:21Speaker 1: definitely I think right now, if he does end up
- 25:24Speaker 1: with someone, it's probably Susie, I would think. So. Um,
- 25:30Speaker 1: I have a theory. I think he either. I would
- 25:32Speaker 1: say he probably ends up with her. He ends up
- 25:33Speaker 1: in that one. Um. And And the reason I say
- 25:36Speaker 1: that is I think I saw an interview where he
- 25:38Speaker 1: was talking about did you find your love? Or was
- 25:41Speaker 1: being asked that right? And you know, you get coach
- 25:43Speaker 1: right for prepress of how to respond. You can't. You know,
- 25:47Speaker 1: they don't want you giving things away. And remember they
- 25:49Speaker 1: never really wanted me to say, you know, if what
- 25:51Speaker 1: I found like, never acknowledge it. And the fact that
- 25:53Speaker 1: they let him acknowledge them like, it's a little different.
- 25:56Speaker 1: So I have a feeling. It could be like a
- 25:58Speaker 1: self love type thing, like, you know, found himself a
- 26:00Speaker 1: little bit more and um learn a lot throughout the process.
- 26:03Speaker 1: Or he ends up with Susie. That's my my two options. See,
- 26:06Speaker 1: I think he's really into Teddy. I don't know that
- 26:11Speaker 1: Susie is that into Clayton. That's why I'm not sure
- 26:14Speaker 1: that they end up together. Teddy is the virgin, right yeah, okay,
- 26:20Speaker 1: very cute girl. Um how old is Clayton again? That's thirty. Yeah,
- 26:27Speaker 1: I don't see that. I don't think I see that happening.
- 26:29Speaker 1: I don't know, I will see. I agree with you
- 26:31Speaker 1: a little bit. I see. Um I've said to destined
- 26:36Speaker 1: to on our pot on our recaps, I feel like
- 26:38Speaker 1: almost when Susie's on, it's like Susie's the bachelorat and
- 26:41Speaker 1: Clayton's a contest and it's the only only woman that
- 26:43Speaker 1: I feel that way with when I watched the show.
- 26:46Speaker 1: So thank you for what it is. I think, Pete,
- 26:50Speaker 1: I can see you with the pilot too. She's cute.
- 26:54Speaker 1: She's cute. There is a pilot. Yeah, you guys really
- 26:57Speaker 1: trying to set me up here. We're sorry if he
- 27:01Speaker 1: go to this girl, if hey, Pete, let me go
- 27:03Speaker 1: ditch this. Alright, Well, guys, thank you, hum me um,
- 27:08Speaker 1: I will see you soon. And just a little correction,
- 27:11Speaker 1: Clayton is twenty eight. Maybe he could be with Teddy.
- 27:17Speaker 1: We'll see, we'll find out. But what do you think?
- 27:20Speaker 1: Do you think? What do I think? Well? What if? Okay,
- 27:24Speaker 1: so we know that he sleeps with all the girls
- 27:25Speaker 1: in the fantasy suite, and I think that one of
- 27:27Speaker 1: them is going to be Teddy, which means he takes
- 27:30Speaker 1: a V card in the fantasy suite, which is like
- 27:32Speaker 1: the first time that will ever happen. And I don't
- 27:36Speaker 1: know how that's gonna go over with her, which is
- 27:41Speaker 1: why I even acknowledged. Yeah, she acknowledged it. She'd be acknowledged.
- 27:45Speaker 1: She'd be okay losing Yeah, that's right. Yeah, But would
- 27:49Speaker 1: she be okay with him also sleeping with two other
- 27:53Speaker 1: women in that You think you've seen the most like production,
- 27:57Speaker 1: that it's finest, and then they just pull this exactly
- 28:01Speaker 1: this girl, she's going to regret losing her If that
- 28:04Speaker 1: is the case, you're losing your virginia on on television
- 28:07Speaker 1: like that. I just oh, but the producers are going
- 28:10Speaker 1: to have a field day. Yeah, they really are that.
- 28:13Speaker 1: I feel bad. Oh man, it comes on tonight, right, well,
- 28:17Speaker 1: this is well yeah, but I'm very excited for a
- 28:19Speaker 1: fantasy sweet week. Let's just get there. We'll see what happens. Alright, guys,
- 28:25Speaker 1: thanks so much for hanging around for so long. I
- 28:27Speaker 1: appreciate it. We'll talk to you bye. All right, We'll
