  These are seven of the stories that we're

  that help tell tell some of the very

  diverse stories,

  the very different stories and contrasting stories in

  health care today.

  First,
• 1:14
  University Hospitals, which is Cleveland based and one
• 1:17
  of the great research institutions and health systems
• 1:20
  in the country,
• 1:21
  turns from loss to profit this last quarter,
• 1:24
  in last year, and that's terrific news for
• 1:26
  university hospitals.
• 1:28
  Second, in contrast,
• 1:30
  Oracle just announced, and this isn't focused necessarily
• 1:32
  on Oracle health care, but that Oracle will
• 1:34
  be cutting thousands of jobs,
• 1:36
  and that seems to be a regular ongoing
• 1:38
  thing at Oracle as they try and get
• 1:40
  more profitable and back in the game and
• 1:42
  spend lots of money on artificial intelligence build
• 1:45
  out. I think their stock's down 25 or
• 1:47
  30% this year and and really having a
• 1:49
  challenging time.
• 1:51
  Third, a great article in Becker's Healthcare about
• 1:54
  the return
• 1:55
  on investment of technology
• 1:57
  according to finance leaders. And, again, the wide
• 2:00
  range results here in terms of the returns
• 2:03
  on investment.

  Fourth, we have an article this week featuring
• 2:08
  58 health system chief digital officers. Just to
• 2:10
  know, again, this is an area in a
• 2:12
  role, the chief digital officer that's become more
• 2:15
  and more important to health systems every place.

  So you see that we highlight 58 of
• 2:19
  them. That's at Becker's HealthCare. Of course, there's

  a ton more as well.

  Fifth, we have a story on 26 profitable

  health systems in 2025.

  That's on an exhaustive list. That's part of

  the running list. But, again, the the the

  basic concept is midsize and larger health systems

  doing doing okay.

  Very small systems, remote rural systems really struggling.

  That's the overall
• 2:42
  tendency here that we're watching.

  Some big name systems were profitable last year
• 2:47
  and had a good year.
• 2:48
  Sixth, there's another article on 14 large health
• 2:52
  systems that are getting larger. Again, that tracks
• 2:54
  a lot of the mergers and acquisitions in
• 2:56
  health care. Again, a critical part of the
• 2:58
  ecosystem,
• 2:59
  and health systems trying to get big enough,
• 3:02
  that they could afford to take risks, that
• 3:04
  they could handle their mission well, that they
• 3:07
  can compete with the payers, that they can
• 3:09
  make themselves in a spot where it's harder
• 3:10
  for payers and patients to go around them.
• 3:12
  So that's part of the story there. Finally,
• 3:15
  seventh,
• 3:15
  the Grady Health System, a a great, great
• 3:18
  not for profit system,
• 3:19
  un unveiling a new $1,000,000,000
• 3:21
  campus,
• 3:23
  and and consistently trying to straight stay true
• 3:26
  to their mission. So a story on that,
• 3:28
  a new billion dollar campus for Grady Health
• 3:30
  System, a fantastic example of a health system
• 3:32
  that's both,
• 3:33
  safety net and great and just fantastic.
