Teen Charged in Modoc Boy’s Drowning | Charleston News
Tragedy struck at Strom Thurmond Lake in Modoc, South Carolina, when a 13-year-old boy was found dead after a brutal knife attack at a dock. A 17-year-old, Landen Austin Moore, has been charged with murder and is in custody, accused of drowning the teen underwater with malice aforethought. The case, involving a 16-year-old bystander also taken into juvenile custody, has been handed over to SLED due to local conflict-of-interest concerns.
