- 0:00SPEAKER_01: Yeah, like I'm saying.
- 0:20SPEAKER_02: Hello, and welcome to Slander and Slay on Buzzer.
- 0:24SPEAKER_02: I am Tracy Sandler, joined by the lovely Nikki K.
- 0:27SPEAKER_02: Hello, hello, Nikki.
- 0:30SPEAKER_02: It's a big day.
- 0:33SPEAKER_02: For those of you that listened on Monday, somebody on the podcast was a little concerned the doggers weren't gonna get it done.
- 0:42SPEAKER_02: Someone else on the podcast was like, I don't see what everybody's panicking about.
- 0:47SPEAKER_01: They're gonna be fine.
- 0:48SPEAKER_01: Nikki, which one of us was correct?
- 0:51SPEAKER_01: I will, I will always be the doubter.
- 0:53SPEAKER_01: I am always the one to be like, oh no, oh no, what's going on?
- 0:57SPEAKER_01: You know.
- 0:58SPEAKER_01: So I think that's totally fair.
- 1:00SPEAKER_01: They did it.
- 1:01SPEAKER_01: NLCS found three straight.
- 1:03SPEAKER_01: It's just insane.
- 1:05SPEAKER_01: This team is this team is undeniable.
- 1:08SPEAKER_01: This team is undeniable.
- 1:09SPEAKER_02: And can we take a minute to give some serious props?
- 1:13SPEAKER_02: He gave props to a lot of people in the locker room after the game yesterday.
- 1:17SPEAKER_02: Dave Roberts.
- 1:18SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah, oh, got it.
- 1:19SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:19SPEAKER_02: He's he's unbelievable.
- 1:21SPEAKER_02: He is if you were to ask me, because there was a lot of conversation, if there was an MVP of the division series, which there isn't, who would it be?
- 1:27SPEAKER_02: Would it be this one?
- 1:28SPEAKER_02: Would it be that one?
- 1:29SPEAKER_02: It would be Dave Roberts.
- 1:31SPEAKER_02: It's just tremendous to me how well he knows his players.
- 1:34SPEAKER_02: We saw it last year in the World Series.
- 1:36SPEAKER_02: How every choice he has made in the last several years, and I think he learned a lot from the first few years.
- 1:42SPEAKER_02: Some mistakes were made, and he learned a lot from it.
- 1:45SPEAKER_02: But I think he is just amazing, and I would give him MVP of the division series.
- 1:50SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 1:50SPEAKER_01: I and I want to say like how he knows to get what he can get out of his guys.
- 1:55SPEAKER_01: Um, like he said, he said this before game three.
- 1:59SPEAKER_01: For us to win the world series, and he's talking about Andy Paes.
- 2:02SPEAKER_01: He says, for us to win the World Series this year, we're gonna need him to be an active part of our team.
- 2:07SPEAKER_01: It's well documented how bad Pajes was at the plate in the postseason last year, right?
- 2:13SPEAKER_01: His defensive play obviously redeemed him.
- 2:15SPEAKER_01: But before that, Pajes was 0 for 7 in the NLDS.
- 2:20SPEAKER_01: Since saying that before game three, he went four uh since Dave Roberts said that before game three, Pajes went four for seven with the team's first hit with runners in scoring position this week.
- 2:31SPEAKER_01: So I just winning hit at that.
- 2:33SPEAKER_01: And that's just Dave.
- 2:34SPEAKER_01: That's Dave, you know, pushing the right button.
- 2:37SPEAKER_01: Pajes.
- 2:38SPEAKER_02: He's always pushing the right button.
- 2:40SPEAKER_02: Last year, when he put Mickey Rojas in there for game six, who made obviously the tremendous defensive play, kept him in there, obviously the game time home run, which was unbelievable.
- 2:48SPEAKER_02: It's just it's pretty, it's pretty great.
- 2:51SPEAKER_02: And even when he took Glasnow out of the game yesterday after four and two thirds inning, and and Glasno was not pitching a bad game, he'd given up a couple walks, and I think that was probably what did him in.
- 3:00SPEAKER_02: And had it been a game in June, July, or August, he probably would have stayed in the game, but that wasn't gonna happen yesterday.
- 3:05SPEAKER_02: And then you see him talking to Glasnow and they're laughing.
- 3:08SPEAKER_02: And John Smoltz on the broadcast, he's saying to him, like, you are a nasty pitcher, you are my guy, you get those walks under the control, but I need you for this run, so I'm taking you out now.
- 3:18SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 3:18SPEAKER_02: And I think they've just bought in, they trust him, they've bought in, putting Kike in there in game three, because you know, Kike Hernandez, I I'm not sure I've ever seen a player's different, and it doesn't matter because they don't need him to be heroic in the regular season, but the difference between the regular season and the postseason, amazing.
- 3:37SPEAKER_02: And he just he just knows how to get it done.
- 3:39SPEAKER_02: I think it's really tremendous.
- 3:41SPEAKER_02: And in the earlier years, even though they were going to World Series every year, he got a lot of flack for taking pictures out too soon and and making decisions that people didn't agree with.
- 3:50SPEAKER_02: And I think it's a very easy for all of us to sit back and criticize.
- 3:54SPEAKER_02: And I definitely was guilty of it.
- 3:56SPEAKER_02: But I think whatever criticisms warranted or not, he learned a lot.
- 4:00SPEAKER_02: And now they're going to their third straight NLCS.
- 4:03SPEAKER_02: And when you look at the Yankees who were in the World Series a couple years ago and got eliminated again from the DS, the Blue Jays who were in the World Series last year, who didn't make the playoffs and were kind of a mess all season.
- 4:16SPEAKER_02: I don't care how much the Dodgers are paying people, what they're sustaining is impressive.
- 4:20SPEAKER_01: It's just I think, I think, okay, and it's so fun to be it in the midst of this Dodgers run, right?
- 4:29SPEAKER_01: I I'm all in on it.
- 4:31SPEAKER_01: I do understand where other fan bases are frustrated, not just in the sense of the inevitability, it feels like, but it's the depth of it's the depth of the rotation, I think.
- 4:43SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's incredible.
- 4:44SPEAKER_01: Which feels it's incredible, but it also feels really unfair, right?
- 4:47SPEAKER_01: Like, you know, and I think that's where I understand opposing fan bases.
- 4:51SPEAKER_01: Like, what are you supposed to do?
- 4:54SPEAKER_01: You know, because if it's not Scoobyl, it's Snell.
- 4:56SPEAKER_01: If it's not Snell, it's Yamamoto, and then it's glass now.
- 5:00SPEAKER_01: Like it's just there's not one day that you can exhale at all.
- 5:06SPEAKER_01: Uh so I do understand why opponents are, you know, frustrated, or opposing fan bases, I should say, but it it is what it is.
- 5:15SPEAKER_01: The Dodgers are the best run franchise organization and professional sports, I would argue.
- 5:21SPEAKER_02: I would argue that as well.
- 5:23SPEAKER_02: And I think at the end of the day, and we'll see what happens after the lockout, etc., they're not doing anything wrong.
- 5:29SPEAKER_02: They just no, they're not cheating.
- 5:31SPEAKER_02: They're not wrong to it.
- 5:34SPEAKER_02: Um, Scoobyl, they got Scooba.
- 5:36SPEAKER_02: I mean, they didn't pay for Scoobyl, at least not yet.
- 5:39SPEAKER_02: Um, they got Scoobyl, you know.
- 5:42SPEAKER_02: I think so.
- 5:42SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 5:43SPEAKER_02: And I think with that, and I get I totally understand that opposing fan bases feel that way.
- 5:48SPEAKER_02: I just feel like they're a well-run organization and they can do it, and other organizations do it too.
- 5:53SPEAKER_02: And then I look at teams like the Mets, who have a huge payroll, and we're awful.
- 5:58SPEAKER_02: And the Yankees very high payrolls the last few years, and the Yankees keep making the same mistakes over and over.
- 6:04SPEAKER_02: It's the fundamentals that do them in year after year after year.
- 6:08SPEAKER_02: So it's like, you know, I I understand, and everybody also hates the winners.
- 6:14SPEAKER_02: People hate the Chiefs.
- 6:16SPEAKER_02: People hate the Chiefs for no reason other than the Chiefs have won multiple Super Bowls.
- 6:20SPEAKER_02: People hate Matt Patrick Mahomes because he was he's so good.
- 6:22SPEAKER_02: People hated Tom Brady for being, I mean, that's just kind of the part of it, and that's sports, and that's part of the discourse and the fun of it, and it is what it is, and it's fun when you're the fan of the team, and it's not as fun when you're not the fan of the team, but it will be no matter what, a NLCS rematch between the Brewers and the Dodgers.
- 6:42SPEAKER_02: I do not think this is the same Brewers team the Dodgers saw last year.
- 6:45SPEAKER_02: This is a much better Brewer's team, in my opinion.
- 6:48SPEAKER_02: Um, this could be it's this is gonna be a tough series.
- 6:51SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 6:52SPEAKER_01: And yeah, yeah, the Brewers are coming in with a with a chip on their shoulder for sure.
- 6:56SPEAKER_01: But what if you're a Dodgers fan, what scares me the most about the Brewers is that they play the small ball that the Dodgers haven't until game four shown they're capable of.
- 7:07SPEAKER_01: And they're playing with a consistency that the Dodgers haven't shown, especially this regular season.
- 7:14SPEAKER_01: I mean, uh, granted, you can say three seasons of it should be consistent enough, right?
- 7:20SPEAKER_01: But uh, yeah, you know, and so yeah, it's it's been this is the second time the two teams are playing in the NLCS, right?
- 7:28SPEAKER_01: Or third time, I mean, because it's 2018.
- 7:29SPEAKER_02: Third time, but second 2018, then last year and this year.
- 7:32SPEAKER_02: Yeah, so third time.
- 7:33SPEAKER_01: Yes, yeah.
- 7:34SPEAKER_01: So I'm I'm intrigued.
- 7:36SPEAKER_01: I mean, how about that Machado um that Machado shot last night?
- 7:40SPEAKER_01: That was oh my gosh.
- 7:42SPEAKER_01: Would have been a whole run in any other ballpark.
- 7:44SPEAKER_02: If I was a Padre fan, I think I would have cried.
- 7:47SPEAKER_02: I mean, I that was like that was like okay, and I am no fan of Manny Machado.
- 7:52SPEAKER_02: I consider him my nemesis.
- 7:54SPEAKER_02: It's hard to have a nemesis that doesn't know he's your nemesis, but he is very much my nemesis.
- 7:59SPEAKER_02: And if we met, he would know very fast.
- 8:02SPEAKER_02: But that being said, all bias aside, I was like, that is uh that's a heartbreaker.
- 8:07SPEAKER_01: That was yeah, I mean, and it what a scene, him blowing the bubble with his gum, he had the swagger down pat.
- 8:14SPEAKER_01: And then it was it was just not.
- 8:17SPEAKER_01: I like I said, uh for the lore, for the energy, the the electricity, I remember from that 2024 NLDS, I was really, really pulling for a Padres Dodgers NLCS, but alas we get a rematch of last year.
- 8:32SPEAKER_02: Alas we do, and and they're the rure, I think it is gonna be somewhat electric.
- 8:36SPEAKER_02: You know what I would love to avoid this year?
- 8:38SPEAKER_02: If you're listening, Pat Murphy, and you may not be listening, but if you are listening, can we not this year?
- 8:45SPEAKER_02: Apparently, my dogs feel the same way that I do about this.
- 8:48SPEAKER_02: Can we know what they are barking at?
- 8:51SPEAKER_02: Um, can we not do the thing where can you hear me?
- 8:56SPEAKER_02: Should I move them in another room, you guys?
- 8:57SPEAKER_02: Can you hear me?
- 8:59SPEAKER_01: They're yapping right now.
- 9:00SPEAKER_02: Okay, they have a lot of really strong feelings about the dogs.
- 9:03SPEAKER_02: They're dodger dogs.
- 9:04SPEAKER_02: Let's be honest.
- 9:04SPEAKER_01: They are dodger dogs.
- 9:06SPEAKER_02: But if we can Pat Murphy not do the thing the entire series about they don't even know the names of our players, our guys are like nobodies, and they're guys.
- 9:14SPEAKER_02: Can we not do that this year?
- 9:15SPEAKER_02: I'd like to.
- 9:16SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah.
- 9:16SPEAKER_01: They're like, oh, poor, poor uh small town brewers.
- 9:20SPEAKER_02: Yeah, let's not.
- 9:21SPEAKER_02: I could live without that this year.
- 9:23SPEAKER_02: Yeah, so that's the request.
- 9:24SPEAKER_01: He may not be listening, but if he now on the CS or sorry, CS on the um on the AL side, you get the rays advancing, and then who do you think is coming out of Cleveland, Chicago?
- 9:38SPEAKER_02: I think it's gonna be Chicago.
- 9:40SPEAKER_02: I I feel like it's gonna be kind of like that Brewers Padre series where the Brewers grow up, show I think the Padres come back, they get their big win, but then I think it's got I think it's very hard in a five-game series.
- 9:52SPEAKER_02: I would love to know the stats of this, and I'm sure we could look it up at some point very easily.
- 9:56SPEAKER_02: I would love to know in a five-game series how often the team that wins the first game wins the series because it's such a crucial game in the five-game series because you have you win that first game, you now have four chances to win two games, and the other team has four chances to win three games.
- 10:12SPEAKER_02: And I just think it becomes very difficult.
- 10:14SPEAKER_02: Listen, I'm sure the Guardians went on plenty of runs throughout the season where they won three in a row with no problem whatsoever.
- 10:21SPEAKER_02: It's just different in the postseason and the stakes are so much higher.
- 10:25SPEAKER_02: So I kind of feel like that's what's gonna happen.
- 10:27SPEAKER_02: I'm also just kind of pulling for the um the White South because I think they're so fun, as we talked about the other day.
- 10:36SPEAKER_02: They are such a fun team.
- 10:37SPEAKER_02: The interviews are fun and they're just a cool story.
- 10:40SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 10:40SPEAKER_02: So I know and they're fan base.
- 10:42SPEAKER_01: I yeah, I saw some kid talking.
- 10:44SPEAKER_01: He's like, I've been there through all the 100 lost seasons.
- 10:48SPEAKER_01: Like, I've been there for that.
- 10:49SPEAKER_01: I can't wait for I I I would love that.
- 10:52SPEAKER_01: I don't know how those how the Rays White Sox would stack up against each other, though, necessarily.
- 10:57SPEAKER_01: Is that pretty lopsided?
- 10:59SPEAKER_02: I think it's a lopsided.
- 11:00SPEAKER_02: I do think that the rays are a four, the rays, not the rays.
- 11:04SPEAKER_02: I took the Rays and the Braves and turned them into one team.
- 11:07SPEAKER_02: The Rays, I think, are a force.
- 11:09SPEAKER_02: They're a very, very good baseball team.
- 11:11SPEAKER_02: So I think that would be a very tough series, but it would be cool for the White Sox to get that opportunity.
- 11:18SPEAKER_02: And who knows?
- 11:19SPEAKER_02: It just this will be the CS is where like it the DS things are real, but the CS, like now you're in a seven-game series, and like this is this is yeah, a lot.
- 11:30SPEAKER_02: It's and it's funny, my parents last year were watching game seven with someone who was not a baseball fan, was not a sports fan, did not understand the sport at all, and said to my mom, is this the first time these teams have played each other?
- 11:43SPEAKER_02: And my mom said, It's the seventh time they played each other in eight days.
- 11:46SPEAKER_02: And when you think about that, that's that's crazy.
- 11:48SPEAKER_02: Like you're playing the same team.
- 11:50SPEAKER_02: So it's like actually kind of bananas.
- 11:52SPEAKER_02: So I think in a seven-game series, I feel the better, more talented team tends to win.
- 11:59SPEAKER_02: It's not like football, where in a playoff game, it's whoever plays best for those three and a half hours, you know, to set.
- 12:05SPEAKER_02: But but that being said, that's why they play all the games, and we shall see.
- 12:08SPEAKER_02: Yeah, but seriously, that's why they play.
- 12:10SPEAKER_02: Um yeah, and so today's Thursday, so they're playing game four today between the Guardians and the White Sox, I believe.
- 12:16SPEAKER_02: And if there's a game five there, it would be on Saturday.
- 12:20SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 12:21SPEAKER_02: So um, so there we go.
- 12:24SPEAKER_02: So we're down to we've got three out of the four, three of the final four.
- 12:28SPEAKER_02: And we'll know more by our next episode.
- 12:32SPEAKER_02: So it was very, very exciting.
- 12:34SPEAKER_02: Uh also Yoshinobu Yamamoto.
- 12:36SPEAKER_02: I mean, he's just he's something else, huh?
- 12:39SPEAKER_02: Yeah, he's he's he's special.
- 12:41SPEAKER_01: Um, it's good to see Diaz getting his closing, his closing momentum coming in.
- 12:46SPEAKER_01: Um super happy for Andy Paez.
- 12:50SPEAKER_01: And then I want I want to wax poetic about Max Muncie.
- 12:55SPEAKER_02: Please, he does not get talked about enough.
- 12:57SPEAKER_01: Not only does he not get talked about enough, but like we always say, like Hall of Famer Freddie Freeman, Hall of Famer Mookie Betts, put Max Muncie in the damn Hall of Fame conversation right now because that man, 19 career postseason home runs, and it's he's just like old faithful.
- 13:15SPEAKER_01: Like every he is always on time with it.
- 13:20SPEAKER_01: Might not be the go-ahead home run, it might not be the defining home run, but he's he's contributing, and he when no one else is, he's at the plate and he's delivering.
- 13:31SPEAKER_01: And I just um I one of the like class act characters of that organization, he was the first Dodger I ever interviewed.
- 13:41SPEAKER_01: He was the first one.
- 13:42SPEAKER_01: Yeah, he was the first postseason interview I ever did in one of the crazy clubhouses, you know, and just like the celebration, and you're like, what do I do?
- 13:50SPEAKER_01: And um, I just I and it is fun when I do talk to Dodger fans.
- 13:54SPEAKER_01: I think they're like the first to be like, Muncie's one of my favorites, you know, like Muncie and Mickey Rowe, like because of the way they show up, time and time and time again.
- 14:05SPEAKER_02: And I always think of well, there were two things for last season is one when Muncie was out for a while and they struggled mightily, and he came back and like immediately they got it together.
- 14:16SPEAKER_02: And someone I on Twitter, and I don't know who he was, or it was some like fan, but I saw a tweet that said Muncie must run that clubhouse like the army.
- 14:27SPEAKER_02: Like he's been gone, and now he is back, and it is like we are good.
- 14:29SPEAKER_02: But also, like in the games of the World Series, he hit that home run to put them within one.
- 14:34SPEAKER_02: He doesn't that that home run, the Mickey Rowe home run doesn't do anything.
- 14:39SPEAKER_02: So um he deserves a lot of credit.
- 14:42SPEAKER_02: Four games, three home runs.
- 14:44SPEAKER_02: He gave them an insurance run that they needed.
- 14:46SPEAKER_02: I mean, I think everyone, probably including Edwin Diaz, felt a lot better being up three runs as opposed to two runs.
- 14:52SPEAKER_02: And you're right, he is tremendous.
- 14:54SPEAKER_02: He should be in the Hall of Fame conversation.
- 14:56SPEAKER_02: Um, there's so many people on this team that I think need a statue outside of Dodger Stadium.
- 15:00SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 15:01SPEAKER_02: He is one of them.
- 15:02SPEAKER_02: Make a whole statue of this this group.
- 15:04SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 15:05SPEAKER_02: Yeah, maybe just that the team photo on the field.
- 15:07SPEAKER_02: See if you could make that into a statue.
- 15:09SPEAKER_01: Actually, I'm kind of down for less statues.
- 15:11SPEAKER_01: The Lakers, the like the Lakers courtyard or whatever, LA Live is there's too many statues now.
- 15:17SPEAKER_01: It's kind of creepy.
- 15:18SPEAKER_01: You know what I'm saying?
- 15:19SPEAKER_01: How many statues are there?
- 15:21SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 15:21SPEAKER_01: There you we've got we've got Shaq, Kobe, Chickern.
- 15:27SPEAKER_01: Um there's a Jerry West one.
- 15:30SPEAKER_01: Is there a Pat Riley one?
- 15:31SPEAKER_01: There's Lisa Leslie.
- 15:32SPEAKER_01: Like, how many stack oh, I also just asked um my trustee production assistant, aka computer, to figure out how many game one, how many let's see if it even came up with um let's see.
- 15:48SPEAKER_01: My PA chat.
- 15:50SPEAKER_01: Oh, let's see.
- 15:51SPEAKER_01: Sorry, we're jumping all over.
- 15:52SPEAKER_01: About 73% in best of five postseason series, the team that wins game one has gone on to win the series 116 out of 160 times.
- 16:02SPEAKER_01: That's those are pretty good odds.
- 16:04SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 16:04SPEAKER_01: Especially with the 221 format.
- 16:06SPEAKER_01: Um, okay, now I'm going to now I wanted to see how many statues.
- 16:10SPEAKER_02: Now are you gonna have how many statues are outside crypto.com.
- 16:12SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 16:13SPEAKER_01: How many?
- 16:15SPEAKER_02: There's a lot, Tracy.
- 16:17SPEAKER_02: I mean, maybe we need to have like a real conversation of how many statues is too many statues.
- 16:22SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I that's what I think I'm getting at.
- 16:24SPEAKER_02: 14.
- 16:25SPEAKER_02: Okay, that is a lot of statues.
- 16:27SPEAKER_01: Yeah, okay.
- 16:28SPEAKER_01: Oh, I forgot some very Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Shaquille O'Neal, Jerry West, Elgin Baylor, Chickern, Pat Riley, Kobe Bryant.
- 16:36SPEAKER_01: He also has another Kobe Bryant statue.
- 16:38SPEAKER_01: Then there's Wayne Gretzky, Luke Robotai, Dustin Brown, Bob Miller from the Kings.
- 16:43SPEAKER_01: We haven't even talked about Lisa Leslie's.
- 16:46SPEAKER_01: That's oh, and then Oscar De La Hoya has one.
- 16:48SPEAKER_01: And Phil Jackson's getting one too.
- 16:50SPEAKER_01: We got too many statues.
- 16:52SPEAKER_02: That's a lot of statues.
- 16:54SPEAKER_02: That is a lot, a lot of statues.
- 16:56SPEAKER_02: I now that you say that, because I was thinking like they definitely need a statue of that Andy Pa's catch from the World Series.
- 17:04SPEAKER_01: I think how about no sta, how about no statues?
- 17:07unknown: I don't know.
- 17:07SPEAKER_01: How about we just keep Jackie, Jackie Robinson being Jackie?
- 17:11SPEAKER_02: That's fine.
- 17:12SPEAKER_02: We can do it.
- 17:12SPEAKER_02: We do have a bobblehead of that catch.
- 17:13SPEAKER_02: And by we, I mean I definitely have that bobblehead.
- 17:16SPEAKER_02: Um, and I don't know, you may also have that bobblehead, but we definitely have that bobblehead.
- 17:19SPEAKER_02: By the way Andy Paw has made a catch last night where I thought he was gonna have to take Teoscar Hernandez out and he didn't do it, but I was like, oh, Teoscar's going down, and you know he's coming for you.
- 17:28SPEAKER_02: He's going to catch that ball, and if you're in his way, too bad.
- 17:30SPEAKER_02: Yeah, too bad.
- 17:32SPEAKER_01: Um, Thursday night football.
- 17:35SPEAKER_01: Thursday night football.
- 17:37SPEAKER_01: Let us talk.
- 17:38SPEAKER_01: It's the Bucks and the Cowboys, I believe.
- 17:40SPEAKER_01: I also thought today was Friday like 18 times.
- 17:43SPEAKER_01: This has been a very long week, and maybe it's the baseball.
- 17:47SPEAKER_01: I think it probably is the baseball.
- 17:48SPEAKER_02: I also think when baseball playoffs happen, there's no time or space.
- 17:53SPEAKER_02: Because the like even like next week, for instance, the NLCS will be Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Sunday, Monday.
- 18:00SPEAKER_02: Like that doesn't even like it kind of doesn't compute in days.
- 18:04SPEAKER_02: No, it's there's no time or space.
- 18:06SPEAKER_01: And then like with even with these away games, we didn't travel to Atlanta, but I was like, all right, my day stops at three o'clock.
- 18:12SPEAKER_01: Because that right, you know, 100%.
- 18:15SPEAKER_02: In fact, on Tuesday for game three, so I had a hair appointment that they couldn't change.
- 18:23SPEAKER_02: Your hair looks great, by the way.
- 18:24SPEAKER_02: Thank you very much.
- 18:25SPEAKER_02: I went like a vanilla latte blonde for fall.
- 18:28SPEAKER_02: So it's check our socials, check the check the buzzer live feed so you guys can.
- 18:32SPEAKER_01: I love vanilla lattes, and I love your hair.
- 18:35SPEAKER_01: So it's thank you.
- 18:36SPEAKER_02: Thank you.
- 18:37SPEAKER_02: It's a really it's a good combo.
- 18:38SPEAKER_02: But my appointment was at two, and I was like sitting there, and I basically said to them, I was like, if you have burning questions for me, you have an hour to ask them.
- 18:48SPEAKER_02: Because at three o'clock, my AirPods are going in on the computer, and like unless you need me to like to wash my hair or like move, like there's really not a lot to be discussed going forward.
- 18:56SPEAKER_02: And they tell them by the way, the whole salon also was like very into it because I was very into it and they thought it was like very funny and cute.
- 19:04SPEAKER_02: And I was like getting so excited.
- 19:06SPEAKER_02: And um, but I was sitting there, and yes, your day ends at three.
- 19:10SPEAKER_02: And for Wednesday for game four, I was like, oh my gosh, it's already three o'clock.
- 19:13SPEAKER_02: I got you know, day over for Tuesday.
- 19:15SPEAKER_02: I was like, when is it gonna be three o'clock?
- 19:17SPEAKER_02: This is the true day ends well on the East Coast games, and that's gonna happen for us.
- 19:24SPEAKER_02: Well, I guess Sunday, Monday, and then here Wednesday, Wednesday, Friday, and then you know, the AL games.
- 19:29SPEAKER_02: It's gonna be a fun couple weeks.
- 19:31SPEAKER_02: It's this, I so I think, and I know I don't know if we talked about this a little bit the other day.
- 19:35SPEAKER_02: I think we did, but I don't know if we came to a conclusion.
- 19:37SPEAKER_02: I am saying October is the best sports month, but there are arguments that March, April are the best.
- 19:43SPEAKER_02: What are your thoughts?
- 19:44SPEAKER_01: I think here we revel in October.
- 19:47SPEAKER_01: I am I am like I get very stressed in October, but it's also like a joyful, it's a anxiety-ridden joy, if that makes any sense.
- 19:58SPEAKER_01: Because it's not just our fandom attached to it, it's livelihoods and schedules attached.
- 20:06SPEAKER_02: You know, and it's there is, I'm like, anyone trying to make plans with me in October, I'm like, I yeah, the month, I'm always like uh for the month of October, I'm like, I'm gonna have to get back to you with each series and with how with how they're doing it when they play.
- 20:22SPEAKER_02: Because other than that, like they they take over October, which I'm fine with.
- 20:26SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it is they can have my October year after year if it's gonna work out that way.
- 20:31SPEAKER_02: No problem.
- 20:31SPEAKER_02: Yeah, all right.
- 20:32SPEAKER_02: So Thursday night football, Bucs and Cowboys.
- 20:35SPEAKER_02: I believe it is the it's the Bucs at the Cowboys.
- 20:39SPEAKER_02: Okay, so there are a few teams that I think we need to discuss as complete hot messes.
- 20:44SPEAKER_02: Yeah, the Bucs would be one of them, the Texans, the Chargers, I would say the Jets, but I think the other three may be in worse shape than the Jets, mainly because everyone expects the Jets to be bad.
- 20:57SPEAKER_02: These three teams were supposed to be content with what's going on, what is going on with them.
- 21:02SPEAKER_02: So we have the Bucs, the Cowboys tonight.
- 21:04SPEAKER_02: I am not believing in the Cowboys long term.
- 21:07SPEAKER_01: In fact, I've never believed everyone says the Cowboys are back and they're never back.
- 21:11SPEAKER_01: It's the same with USC football.
- 21:13SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's the same with it's the same with the Chargers going to you know make a postseason push.
- 21:18SPEAKER_01: Like it's those three are perennial, like no.
- 21:23SPEAKER_02: They are like perennial no.
- 21:25SPEAKER_02: Um, and I thought that my guy Jim Harbaugh was gonna change that.
- 21:29SPEAKER_02: But you know what I would love to happen?
- 21:31SPEAKER_02: I know we discussed this, but yeah, he probably can't, but it's like him to just come back to Michigan, but whatever.
- 21:35SPEAKER_02: That's a conversation for a different day.
- 21:36SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 21:37SPEAKER_02: Um, so I don't believe the Cowboys long term.
- 21:40SPEAKER_02: I do, I almost don't believe in them tonight either, because the Bucs have to win a game eventually.
- 21:46SPEAKER_02: And what better place for them to win it than in Dallas, where everybody is all of a sudden like, see, the Cowboys are back, and then we're gonna lose the Bucks on Thursday night football.
- 21:55SPEAKER_02: So I'm I'm going right here and saying it.
- 21:57SPEAKER_02: There's I'm going Bucks.
- 21:58SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 21:59SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and bigger.
- 22:00SPEAKER_02: Still dealing with that nasty thumb deal.
- 22:02SPEAKER_02: Oh, I forgot about Baker.
- 22:03SPEAKER_02: Okay, never mind.
- 22:04SPEAKER_02: I'm going back, I'm going Cowboys.
- 22:05SPEAKER_01: Because I was going to say Baker loves putting on a show in Texas.
- 22:10SPEAKER_01: Like that is his that is his playground.
- 22:14SPEAKER_01: But he has that nasty thumb sprain.
- 22:18SPEAKER_02: I forgot.
- 22:19SPEAKER_02: So Baker's out.
- 22:20SPEAKER_02: You're right.
- 22:20SPEAKER_02: All right.
- 22:21SPEAKER_02: I'm back on the Cowboys.
- 22:22SPEAKER_02: I'm also I'm going to go through, I'm going to go through not the undefeated, the the defeated's, I guess.
- 22:27SPEAKER_02: Yeah, let's go through the O4s.
- 22:30SPEAKER_02: The O fours and see what they're how they're going to do this weekend.
- 22:33SPEAKER_02: Uh, when we look at the Chargers playing the Broncos, there, I don't think they're going to first of all, news today, Sean Payton's taking back play calling duties from Davis Webb.
- 22:43SPEAKER_02: So that took about we called that.
- 22:45SPEAKER_02: Didn't we call that week one?
- 22:46SPEAKER_02: We did.
- 22:47SPEAKER_02: I think we did call that week one.
- 22:49SPEAKER_02: I mean, talk about a team that has expectations.
- 22:51SPEAKER_02: This is just not a situation where he can be like, I'm gonna give him a couple months and see how it goes.
- 22:55SPEAKER_02: So yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 22:56SPEAKER_02: That's so that's out.
- 22:57SPEAKER_02: So, and then the Chargers are gonna be without Joe Alt.
- 23:00SPEAKER_02: And I just I think the Chargers are gonna be 0-5, and it breaks me to say that because going against Jim Harbaugh kind of goes against everything I believe in in my life.
- 23:12SPEAKER_02: Right, right, right, right.
- 23:13SPEAKER_02: But this isn't Michigan Harbaugh, it doesn't matter, he's still Harbaugh.
- 23:17SPEAKER_01: Okay, I was trying to give you a reprieve.
- 23:20SPEAKER_02: I I appreciate you, and I the thing is, I would take your reprieve, except many a person would be like, Oh, she don't care.
- 23:27SPEAKER_02: She loves him no matter where he is.
- 23:29SPEAKER_02: So that's where we are.
- 23:31SPEAKER_02: So that's so I'm going Broncos.
- 23:33SPEAKER_02: What are your thoughts on that game?
- 23:34SPEAKER_02: That game.
- 23:35SPEAKER_01: Uh Broncos Chargers.
- 23:37SPEAKER_01: Mm-hmm.
- 23:38SPEAKER_01: Yeah, Broncos.
- 23:39SPEAKER_01: Yeah, okay.
- 23:41SPEAKER_01: So then we all so there's like nothing.
- 23:45SPEAKER_01: It's like if the Chargers had beat the Bills, there's something so frustrating for me that with a team that is like so clearly not in their season, you know, like they're it's not their year.
- 23:59SPEAKER_01: And yet they give you a brief like glimmer of hope by beating someone out of their, you know, early on.
- 24:05SPEAKER_01: So I think the chargers have at least given us the uh grace of calling calling our shot on them early and doubting them early, especially, you know, now you got no Joe Hall, too.
- 24:15SPEAKER_01: That's just we know how Justin did with a depleted offensive line last year.
- 24:21SPEAKER_02: And now the Broncos have, I don't know that, and this will make a difference.
- 24:25SPEAKER_02: The Broncos are without their two top corners in Pat Sertan and Riley Moss.
- 24:30SPEAKER_02: So this I think this makes it a more interesting game than maybe it would have been otherwise.
- 24:37SPEAKER_02: Uh, I'm still gonna go with the Broncos until the Chargers prove me wrong, but I think the lack of those two corners, it will make a difference because now they have a rookie who's gonna be a starting corner.
- 24:49SPEAKER_02: And we saw what happened when Riley Moss and Pat Sertan went out last week against the 49ers.
- 24:54SPEAKER_02: So yeah, we'll we'll see.
- 24:56SPEAKER_02: But I'm still gonna I'm still gonna call the Broncos.
- 24:58SPEAKER_02: Okay, we have the Texans are playing the Titans.
- 25:02SPEAKER_02: Well, good for the Texans, they didn't get their first win.
- 25:05SPEAKER_01: Maybe talk about like one of the biggest disappointments of this early season so far.
- 25:11SPEAKER_01: I think didn't people have Houston in their like Super Bowl projections?
- 25:14SPEAKER_02: Yes, they really they did.
- 25:16SPEAKER_02: And the thing is the defense that everyone felt so strongly when has in has been not great at all.
- 25:23SPEAKER_02: And in fact, you could you could make an argument that CJ Stroud had his best game since his rookie year on Sunday, and it didn't matter because the defense couldn't get it done.
- 25:32SPEAKER_02: So in the battle of the former 49ers defensive coordinators, I'm going to give the win to D'Amico Ryans this week.
- 25:39SPEAKER_02: Um and I can't give it to the Titans.
- 25:42SPEAKER_02: I'm sorry.
- 25:42SPEAKER_01: Okay, so so we're we're getting the Texans climbing out of 04 purgatory here.
- 25:47SPEAKER_02: We are.
- 25:47SPEAKER_02: We're getting the Titans, Titans climbing out of 04 Purgatory.
- 25:50SPEAKER_02: All right, I think we did all of our defeated.
- 25:53SPEAKER_02: Great.
- 25:53SPEAKER_02: I like calling them the defeated's.
- 25:55SPEAKER_02: That's that's kind of a fun thing.
- 25:56SPEAKER_02: Okay, so there's a big there's two games this weekend I also want to talk about before we go.
- 26:01SPEAKER_02: And they're to me the toughest ones to call.
- 26:05SPEAKER_02: And we are doing this show before I film my rapid fire pick.
- 26:10SPEAKER_02: So a little bit here.
- 26:10SPEAKER_02: I'm just gonna be honest.
- 26:11SPEAKER_02: I'm workshopping.
- 26:12SPEAKER_02: I am workshopping here.
- 26:14SPEAKER_01: This is listen, I'm your canvas.
- 26:15SPEAKER_01: There, throw some spaghetti at the canvas, please.
- 26:18SPEAKER_02: Let's throw some spaghetti at the canvas, and I'll start with I'll start with the afternoon game on Sunday, and that would be the 49ers and the Seahawks.
- 26:26SPEAKER_02: I this I'm having tough time.
- 26:30SPEAKER_02: It's gonna be such a good game.
- 26:32SPEAKER_02: And uh fired up, but I don't know, I don't know which way to go on this one.
- 26:39SPEAKER_01: You know what?
- 26:40SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna need your screen set up because if the Dodgers get an afternoon slate on Sunday, they're at five.
- 26:47SPEAKER_01: They're at five.
- 26:48SPEAKER_01: Oh, I thought the times already announced yet.
- 26:50SPEAKER_02: They weren't no, they're at five.
- 26:51SPEAKER_02: There's it's eight eastern, five Pacific on Sunday.
- 26:54SPEAKER_01: Okay, okay, great.
- 26:55SPEAKER_02: The ALDS won't start until Monday.
- 26:58SPEAKER_01: Okay, got it, got it.
- 26:59SPEAKER_01: Well, look at that.
- 27:00SPEAKER_01: Um, oh look at that.
- 27:01SPEAKER_01: So you're you'll go from Niners into Dodgers then.
- 27:05SPEAKER_01: Well, I'm actually going to the Chargers Broncos game.
- 27:08SPEAKER_02: Oh, so it'll be I'll have in person on my phone, driving home.
- 27:15SPEAKER_02: And for anybody watching, you got to see the um the hand expressions in person on my phone and then driving home.
- 27:22SPEAKER_02: I will be home.
- 27:23SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna probably leave Chargers Broncos early.
- 27:25SPEAKER_02: I don't want to miss first pitch of the Dodgers.
- 27:27SPEAKER_02: So I'll be home.
- 27:28SPEAKER_01: Wait, I thought it was okay.
- 27:30SPEAKER_01: Are you sure though, Trace?
- 27:32SPEAKER_01: Because now I'm seeing seven o'clock on Sunday.
- 27:34SPEAKER_01: Oh, wait, that's oh, that's central time.
- 27:37SPEAKER_01: Central time.
- 27:38SPEAKER_02: Okay, okay.
- 27:40SPEAKER_02: It's still even if it's seven, it's still be five here.
- 27:43SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 27:43SPEAKER_02: I'm I saw it last night on Fox.
- 27:46SPEAKER_02: They said it unless they miss, unless unless they missed it.
- 27:49SPEAKER_02: Okay, yeah, because everything says TBD.
- 27:52SPEAKER_02: And so the Fox last night they said game one, eight, Eastern Five Pacific.
- 27:57SPEAKER_02: Okay, okay.
- 27:58SPEAKER_02: But but they in case they were off on that.
- 28:02SPEAKER_02: I mean the Chargers Broncos game is at 105.
- 28:05SPEAKER_02: So, like basically you'll be fine.
- 28:08SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I should be fine, but I'm I it said that last night on Fox, unless again they missed it.
- 28:14SPEAKER_01: Yeah, just no, it's so funny because I've been refreshing Google all morning long and it didn't say times, but maybe I just missed that on the I mean but I'm gonna put game one and LCS time.
- 28:26SPEAKER_02: No, sometimes I do this and it tells me the time from like game one of 2023.
- 28:31SPEAKER_02: But which is super helpful.
- 28:33SPEAKER_02: Uh game one, Braves Dodgers.
- 28:36SPEAKER_02: No, Braves TBD.
- 28:37SPEAKER_02: I'm sorry, Brewers Dodgers.
- 28:39SPEAKER_02: Sorry, Brewers Dodgers.
- 28:40SPEAKER_02: Okay, so we'll start.
- 28:41SPEAKER_02: It said game one, you're right.
- 28:42SPEAKER_02: Game one will start Sunday at seven, but seven, yes, central time, because this is a brewers website.
- 28:49SPEAKER_01: This is good podcasting, but no, yes, no, it's just so funny because I kept seeing TBD and on MLB it still says TBD, but last night.
- 28:58SPEAKER_01: We have the inside scoop.
- 29:00SPEAKER_02: I mean, anybody, I think we can say we have the inside scoop.
- 29:03SPEAKER_02: I'm totally down with that, but my inside scoop was just watching FS1.
- 29:07SPEAKER_01: Oh no, and it's so funny because this website, quote, references the FS1 post-game broadcast as well.
- 29:13SPEAKER_02: Okay, so there you go.
- 29:14SPEAKER_02: So FS1 has the inside scoop, but let's say we have the inside scoop.
- 29:18SPEAKER_01: Yeah, love it.
- 29:19SPEAKER_01: Love that okay.
- 29:21SPEAKER_01: Well, thank you for informing me.
- 29:22SPEAKER_01: I had just been looking and it said TBD TB.
- 29:24SPEAKER_02: Yeah, so yeah, so they're and it's and I think it made which makes sense because like I said, the ALCS starts Monday, so they're the only so they'll be up against that Sunday night football game between the Bucks and the Cowboys, but I'm gonna be paying close attention to the Dodgers and the Brewers on that one.
- 29:39SPEAKER_01: Love it.
- 29:39SPEAKER_01: I know, and then Monday, I'm at Monday night football for the Rams, and that will be at the Rams.
- 29:43SPEAKER_01: You I mean the Dodgers, you can bet will probably have the later game, right?
- 29:46SPEAKER_01: Because if it's they're Chicago, yeah, you're right.
- 29:49SPEAKER_02: It probably will have the later game.
- 29:50SPEAKER_02: And then I'm glad you brought that up.
- 29:52SPEAKER_02: Well, I want to get to that minute.
- 29:53SPEAKER_02: We're Seahawks, Niners, though.
- 29:54SPEAKER_02: I still don't know.
- 29:56SPEAKER_02: Don't be sorry, I do apologize.
- 29:58SPEAKER_02: We have a lot to discuss.
- 30:00SPEAKER_02: We basically, this podcast is October.
- 30:02SPEAKER_02: Our yeah, like our mindset is fully just October because there's so many different directions to go right now.
- 30:09SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna give this to the Niners.
- 30:12SPEAKER_02: I think the Niners are gonna win.
- 30:14SPEAKER_02: I do too.
- 30:14SPEAKER_02: I think the Niners are gonna win, and that would put them at 5-0.
- 30:18SPEAKER_02: The last time the Niners went five and oh, they then proceeded to lose three games in a row, and I don't know if that's gonna happen here, but I do think, which was a couple years ago, but I do, or their Super Bowl year.
- 30:28SPEAKER_02: Uh, I do think that the Niners are gonna win this one.
- 30:33SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that's my guess.
- 30:35SPEAKER_02: I think the Niners are gonna win this one.
- 30:36SPEAKER_02: So, okay, so that is that is that one.
- 30:38SPEAKER_02: I still think, by the way, just as a side note, Brock Purdy, still the MVP as far as I'm concerned.
- 30:42SPEAKER_02: He's he's been so great.
- 30:44SPEAKER_02: He's been absolutely tremendous.
- 30:47SPEAKER_02: And the only thing standing in the Niners' way from the looks of it early on is themselves.
- 30:52SPEAKER_02: Every week they're suffering an injury, which is problematic.
- 30:56SPEAKER_02: Um, they actually put somebody on the practice squad IR the other day, and I saw somebody tweet, they're making that up.
- 31:02SPEAKER_02: There's not a practice squad IR.
- 31:04SPEAKER_02: Oh, yes, there is because they've had a PD blunt before.
- 31:06SPEAKER_02: Um and in in full Niners, this is actually kind of amazing.
- 31:10SPEAKER_02: They bring Dante Pettis back, sign him to the practice squad because all of their wide receiver injuries, he hurts, he gets hurt in practice, and now he's on practice squad IR.
- 31:20SPEAKER_02: It is the most 49ers thing that honestly could possibly happen.
- 31:25SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh.
- 31:26SPEAKER_02: Yeah, they're out with used, they're out used check this week.
- 31:29SPEAKER_02: Um, but I still I I keep going back and forth.
- 31:34SPEAKER_02: I I I agree I think I'm gonna pick the Niners, but this is a tough one.
- 31:40SPEAKER_02: No, I know it'll be a fun one.
- 31:42SPEAKER_02: It'll be a great one.
- 31:45SPEAKER_02: I mean, if if the Niners win it, they put themselves in a really good position.
- 31:50SPEAKER_02: I know it's early, we're only at week five, but if they win it, then three division wins, and that's pretty amazing.
- 31:59SPEAKER_02: So we'll see.
- 32:00SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 32:02SPEAKER_02: Okay, so our next game that I think is gonna be you you mentioned it already.
- 32:06SPEAKER_02: The Bills at the Rams, Monday night football.
- 32:09SPEAKER_02: Um, this is another tough one.
- 32:12SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 32:12SPEAKER_02: Are the mighty Bills gonna lose two in a row?
- 32:15SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 32:16SPEAKER_01: I feel like they're gonna have a bounce back on Monday.
- 32:19SPEAKER_02: You think they're gonna be back?
- 32:19SPEAKER_02: I mean, they very well might.
- 32:21SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but also, but also I feel like the Rams did show who they can be in that fourth quarter against the Eagles, so they could have kind of unlocked something, but and Puka's looking good.
- 32:32SPEAKER_01: And Puka's looking good.
- 32:33SPEAKER_01: By the way, yeah, he helped my fancy team.
- 32:36SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah, I know.
- 32:37SPEAKER_01: I had him on the bench.
- 32:39SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah, we talked about this.
- 32:40SPEAKER_02: I'm sorry.
- 32:41SPEAKER_01: Yeah, no, it's okay.
- 32:42SPEAKER_01: It's okay.
- 32:43SPEAKER_02: It's okay.
- 32:44SPEAKER_02: Um, we're getting into bye weeks with Fancy of Alas, and I was like, oh wait, I already have somebody who's got a bye week this week that's Vanessa.
- 32:49SPEAKER_02: You remind me, I gotta check my roster once we'll see the Panthers and the Chiefs that are on their bye this week.
- 32:56SPEAKER_01: Oh no, Murray's my guy.
- 33:00SPEAKER_02: Oh yeah.
- 33:01SPEAKER_01: Walker, I mean, Walker, sorry Kenneth Walker.
- 33:03SPEAKER_02: I was like, Murray.
- 33:04SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I've done this before, Kenneth Murray.
- 33:06SPEAKER_01: I don't know where that it's it's another sports name that's been in my lexicon at some point.
- 33:10SPEAKER_02: So yeah, you want to check your lineup, get your get your lineup checked.
- 33:14SPEAKER_02: Okay, so Bill's Rams.
- 33:17SPEAKER_02: I think it's interesting, and this has it has nothing to do with the Rams.
- 33:22SPEAKER_02: I think the Rams already maybe don't have the most rabid of fan bases, and much of their fan base is going to be watching the Dodgers.
- 33:30SPEAKER_02: I don't know that it will keep them from going to the Rams game because the Dodgers aren't here.
- 33:34SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 33:34SPEAKER_02: But but that probably isn't gonna have any, I mean that will have any effect on the game.
- 33:38SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 33:38SPEAKER_02: I actually think the Rams are gonna win.
- 33:40SPEAKER_02: I'm just gonna say I think and maybe it's because I think that's the Bills are gonna lose two in a row, and now there's gonna be this discourse of like, did we overreact on the Bills too early?
- 33:50SPEAKER_02: Are they really as unfallible as they seem?
- 33:52SPEAKER_02: Because and here's the other reason, actually, do you think the Rams are gonna win?
- 33:54SPEAKER_02: The Bills defense is not good.
- 33:55SPEAKER_02: That that defense is just not a good defense, yeah.
- 33:58SPEAKER_01: And I think yeah, Stafford's gonna want to be sharp.
- 34:01SPEAKER_01: He's he's had a kind of a sloppy, sloppy first four games.
- 34:04SPEAKER_01: So yeah, I'll I'll go Rams with you as well.
- 34:07SPEAKER_01: I was gonna say Bills to be contrarian, but I I've you've talked me into Rams.
- 34:12SPEAKER_02: I'm so happy that I was here help.
- 34:14SPEAKER_02: You're welcome, Sean McVay.
- 34:15SPEAKER_02: Woo! You guys you guys win.
- 34:17SPEAKER_02: You can thank me talking Nikki into it.
- 34:19SPEAKER_02: Uh well, it should be a very fun.
- 34:21SPEAKER_02: I think those are kind of the best games of the weekend.
- 34:23SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna take a quick perusal at the end of the day.
- 34:26SPEAKER_01: We do have a good Pac-12, uh, former Pac-12 matchup, UCLA Oregon, um, on Saturday.
- 34:33SPEAKER_01: That's a that's gonna be uh my sister went to Oregon.
- 34:35SPEAKER_01: I went to UCLA.
- 34:37SPEAKER_01: We're gonna be watching that together.
- 34:38SPEAKER_01: So, I mean, obviously, you know, Chesney is familiar with Oregon from bringing James Madison to the the college football playoff last year, but I mean it's gonna be kind of a real gut test of if the Bruins are actually for real or if they've just been playing cupcake opponents.
- 34:54SPEAKER_02: This is gonna be it, this is gonna be a real gut test.
- 34:57SPEAKER_02: Oh, I'm really excited to watch or to watch this game and see what happens.
- 35:00SPEAKER_02: Where will you guys watch?
- 35:02SPEAKER_01: Oh, I've got a friend who went to school with me and he's got a great cabana set up at his place.
- 35:07SPEAKER_01: So I think we'll go there, kind of chill, you know, because it's a noon kickoff.
- 35:10SPEAKER_01: It's finally gonna cool down this weekend, too.
- 35:12SPEAKER_01: Yay!
- 35:13SPEAKER_02: Yes, yay.
- 35:14SPEAKER_02: I think tomorrow we'll start the cool down with it being like 86 degrees, which is already off to a great start, and then we will gonna get like fallish weather 70s next week, which compared to what we've had is downright crisp.
- 35:25SPEAKER_02: Yep.
- 35:27SPEAKER_02: So I'm very excited about that.
- 35:29SPEAKER_02: We have so much sports ahead of us.
- 35:31SPEAKER_02: I hope you guys have enjoyed this podcast.
- 35:32SPEAKER_02: I do feel like our minds, we're October.
- 35:35SPEAKER_02: We're ping ponging.
- 35:36SPEAKER_02: Football and baseball, ping ponging all over the place.
- 35:38SPEAKER_02: Uh, but that is October, and that is definitely us in this month.
- 35:42SPEAKER_02: Uh, we will be talking next week.
- 35:44SPEAKER_02: Do you have any K-pop for me, or is October K-pop enough for everybody?
- 35:48SPEAKER_01: Uh, my brain is a baseball right now.
- 35:51SPEAKER_02: So I'm imagining by the way, you're writing like an actual baseball, and I love it.
- 35:56SPEAKER_01: Oh, that'd be good if we get some like braids.
- 35:59SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah, that would be cool.
- 36:02SPEAKER_01: Maybe I should write like that.
- 36:03SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 36:04SPEAKER_01: I think you should write that.
- 36:05SPEAKER_01: So a long story short, no, I but I I mean just watch all the clubhouse interviews after celebrations.
- 36:10SPEAKER_01: They're they're hilarious.
- 36:11SPEAKER_02: Yeah, let's hope the White Sox win because those are just and yes, I mean the Dodgers Clubhouse interview.
- 36:16SPEAKER_02: I didn't watch the Brewers last night.
- 36:17SPEAKER_02: I was like, I gotta go to bed.
- 36:18SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 36:19SPEAKER_02: Um, but the and I didn't watch the Rays because it was like in the middle of the game, which I was watching, but the Dodgers was absolutely just hilarious and unhinged.
- 36:30SPEAKER_02: Um but that's what they should be.
- 36:33SPEAKER_02: And then on to the next.
- 36:34SPEAKER_02: So everybody enjoy the baseball, enjoy the football.
- 36:38SPEAKER_02: Uh, make sure to subscribe, rate, review, slander and slay on buzzer.
- 36:42SPEAKER_02: I am Tracy Sandler, and I'm Nikki Gay.
- 36:45SPEAKER_02: And we will talk to you next week.
- 36:47SPEAKER_02: Bye y'all.
