- 0:39Speaker 1: That is all well on Wednesday, We're glad you're here
- 0:44Speaker 1: with us. As portion of the program brought to you
- 0:47Speaker 1: by Central Texas Sports Medicine. We have breaking news to
- 0:50Speaker 1: start the show. University of Michigan has fired their football coach,
- 1:00Speaker 1: Sharon Moore effective immediately terminated with cause. According to a
- 1:06Speaker 1: university investigation, credible of its found that Moore engaged in
- 1:10Speaker 1: an inappropriate relationship with a staff member, which is a
- 1:16Speaker 1: violation according to the University of Policy and Michigan maintains
- 1:22Speaker 1: zero tolerance for such behavior. So the Wolverines without a
- 1:30Speaker 1: football coach. Who's next. It's honor season and K C.
- 1:36Speaker 1: Concepcion has won a good and he's been named the
- 1:39Speaker 1: twenty twenty five Paul Horning Award winner from the Louisville
- 1:43Speaker 1: Sports Commission, honoring the most versatile player in college football,
- 1:49Speaker 1: First Team All SEC as a return specialist and all
- 1:54Speaker 1: purpose guy and receiver with fifty seven receptions eight hundred
- 1:59Speaker 1: and eighty six yards and led the league with nine touchdowns.
- 2:04Speaker 1: Casius Howell is in Houston tonight where they will hand
- 2:08Speaker 1: out the Lombardi Award to the nation's top lineman slash
- 2:12Speaker 1: linebacker hal a finalist along with two Texas Tech players
- 2:17Speaker 1: David Bailey and Jacob Rodriguez, and Alabama offensive lineman Caden Proctor.
- 2:24Speaker 1: Howell named the Defensive Player of the Year by the SEC,
- 2:29Speaker 1: today first Aggie to receive such an award, and Trey
- 2:34Speaker 1: Zoon joins Proctor as the Blocking Award winner of the Year,
- 2:41Speaker 1: Offensive Player of the Year, Diego Pavia, Special Teams Player
- 2:45Speaker 1: of the Year, Oklahoma kicker Kate Santel Freshman of the
- 2:49Speaker 1: Year Bredlan Staley of Tennessee Newcomber, the year old Miss
- 2:53Speaker 1: quarterback Trinidad Chambliss Scholar Athlete of the Year was me, No,
- 2:59Speaker 1: it wasn't. It was Nick Rinaldi from Vanderbilt, and the
- 3:03Speaker 1: Coach of the Year Clark Lee of Vanderbilt. Kurt Signetti
- 3:08Speaker 1: has been named the winner of the Walter Camp Coach
- 3:13Speaker 1: of the Year for the second year in a row,
- 3:16Speaker 1: becoming the first coach in the fifty nine year history
- 3:20Speaker 1: of that award to repeat. Signetti, of course leading the
- 3:27Speaker 1: Hoosiers to a thirteen mark and number one ranking into
- 3:34Speaker 1: the CFP, but he is probably gonna be without one
- 3:39Speaker 1: of the top d linemen in the country for their
- 3:42Speaker 1: playoff run, Stephen Day, apparently injured after the Big Ten
- 3:49Speaker 1: Championship after suffering a freak incident as he walked around
- 3:57Speaker 1: the stadium giving high fives to fans after the win,
- 4:03Speaker 1: Signetti saying I can confirm Stephen Daily did sustain a
- 4:08Speaker 1: serious injury that will probably make him not available for
- 4:13Speaker 1: the remainder of the season. Second in the nation with
- 4:17Speaker 1: nineteen tackles for loss, that's first in the Big Ten.
- 4:22Speaker 1: He had five and a half sacks, five quarterback hurries
- 4:26Speaker 1: to forced fumbles. That is a big loss for Indiana.
- 4:31Speaker 1: ACC Commissioner Jim Phillips today calling for an immediate expansion
- 4:38Speaker 1: of the twelve team playoff, says he wants the CFP
- 4:42Speaker 1: to examine whether it should scale back the weekly rankings
- 4:48Speaker 1: released during the five weeks leading up to selection. Sunday,
- 4:54Speaker 1: the window to expand for next year's playoff closing fast
- 4:58Speaker 1: ESPN and granted CFP leaders until January twenty third to
- 5:04Speaker 1: finalize that decision. The expectation had been the playoff would
- 5:09Speaker 1: stay at twelve teams because the ten FBF conferences and
- 5:13Speaker 1: Notre Dame would have been unable to reach a consensus
- 5:17Speaker 1: on a sixteen team model. Phillip said, I would prefer
- 5:20Speaker 1: not to wait another year. I only speak for the ACC.
- 5:25Speaker 1: Conference commissioners met in Vegas yesterday. Why do you think
- 5:29Speaker 1: the conference commissioners met in Vegas yesterday? Why couldn't they
- 5:33Speaker 1: have met? Snook no formal agreement. Big twelve commissioner Brett
- 5:40Speaker 1: yor Mark telling CBS Sports he also prefers expansion now
- 5:46Speaker 1: rather than waiting. The SEC focused on a sixteen team format.
- 5:51Speaker 1: The Big ten is focused on a twenty four team
- 5:56Speaker 1: format in which all big ten teams get in and
- 6:00Speaker 1: then everybody else fights for the few remaining spots. Now,
- 6:04Speaker 1: I made that part up. Count Troy Eightman out as
- 6:09Speaker 1: giving nil money to his alma mater, UCLA. He said,
- 6:14Speaker 1: I gave him money to a kid. I won't mention who.
- 6:17Speaker 1: I've done it one time. Never met the young man.
- 6:20Speaker 1: He was there a year, he left after a year.
- 6:24Speaker 1: I wrote a sizable check and he went to another school.
- 6:28Speaker 1: I didn't even get a thank you note. So it's
- 6:31Speaker 1: one of those deals to where I'm done with NIL.
- 6:35Speaker 1: I want to see us CLA be successful, but I'm
- 6:39Speaker 1: done with it. There's going to have to be some changes.
- 6:43Speaker 1: I keep telling you, these millionaires and billionaires aren't writing
- 6:48Speaker 1: blank checks to see kids that they're paying for transfer
- 6:52Speaker 1: either that year or the next year. That's just it's
- 6:57Speaker 1: not going to happen, not sustainable. And Game Day is
- 7:03Speaker 1: headed for College Station a week from Saturday. The ESPN
- 7:08Speaker 1: pregame show will be on campus. They will also be
- 7:15Speaker 1: on campus Friday from Norman, Oklahoma, prior to the Oklahoma
- 7:24Speaker 1: Alabama game. So two big shows in two big days.
- 7:30Speaker 1: Get ready for game day. All right, let's see Scott
- 7:37Speaker 1: Clindennon's going to be here today. Mallory is going to
- 7:40Speaker 1: be here today and tomorrow. I will close out my
- 7:46Speaker 1: week with our Clark Eisenhower Outdoor Edition. We'll have a
- 7:51Speaker 1: high school report. We'll have several other interviews. I'm going
- 7:55Speaker 1: through the archives from twenty twenty five finding interviews that
- 7:59Speaker 1: I liked. We may have a couple of those. Friday,
- 8:04Speaker 1: I'll visit with Kurt Bowles. Young Ryan will be here
- 8:07Speaker 1: in studio. The final lap is up next, brought to
- 8:12Speaker 1: you by and Co Insurance.
- 8:14Speaker 3: Inco Insurance is now a part of Hub International, bringing
- 8:18Speaker 3: you more choices, better value, and even greater expertise. While

- 8:33Speaker 3: service you expect now with the strength of Hub International
- 8:36Speaker 3: behind us, more resources, more solutions, Still your team and
- 8:40Speaker 3: co Insurance a Hub International company, So you're ready for tomorrow.
- 8:46Speaker 2: The NASCAR End Season Challenge. Dude drivers even care about this.
- 8:50Speaker 2: Here's Tyler Reddick.
- 8:51Speaker 4: Myself and other drivers talk about it a lot. It's
- 8:53Speaker 4: all about it. It's all about execution. These days, it
- 8:55Speaker 4: feels like for the most part, everyone's so close on
- 8:58Speaker 4: speed that you know, make the right strategy call or
- 9:01Speaker 4: or you know, having good restarts, avoiding the chaotic big
- 9:05Speaker 4: losses on track position, all those things really really matter,
- 9:09Speaker 4: and I feel like the n Season tournament's really shown that,
- 9:12Speaker 4: you know, the drivers that step up to the plate
- 9:13Speaker 4: and get it done and have that ability or or
- 9:16Speaker 4: find their way through it. I think in my case,
- 9:19Speaker 4: I was fortunate throughout it Atlanta. Kyle unfortunately kind of
- 9:23Speaker 4: got caught up in it. So I was okay there
- 9:25Speaker 4: and then I really thought it. Me and Host are
- 9:26Speaker 4: gonna be around each other a lot in Chicago, and
- 9:29Speaker 4: he collected about half the field when he had his issues.
- 9:33Speaker 4: So yeah, so NOMA was certainly a real test, you
- 9:38Speaker 4: know priests. Certainly I think was was better than us
- 9:41Speaker 4: last week. But you know, again, it came down to
- 9:44Speaker 4: the end of the race. We we came and got tires.
- 9:46Speaker 4: He also did as well, but he just got collected
- 9:48Speaker 4: in the in the chaos. Were able to shoot the
- 9:50Speaker 4: gap and get through it. So yeah, the pressure of
- 9:53Speaker 4: being behind the guy that you got to beat throughout
- 9:55Speaker 4: the day, throughout the race is something that can get
- 9:57Speaker 4: to you, So you got to just understand it away,
- 10:00Speaker 4: use it to motivate yourself to hopefully get back to
- 10:02Speaker 4: them and battle.
- 10:03Speaker 5: With them later on.
- 10:03Speaker 4: So, like I said earlier, I feel like me and
- 10:06Speaker 4: Ti most likely will be around each other a lot
- 10:09Speaker 4: tomorrow and.
- 10:10Speaker 2: Probably today too.
- 10:10Speaker 6: In practice, I don't know.
- 10:11Speaker 1: This is the final app.

- 11:42Speaker 1: But on this Wednesday edition of the program, so I'm
- 11:47Speaker 1: going back in my files and last January February, they
- 11:56Speaker 1: celebrated the fiftieth anniversary of Saturday Night Live and all
- 12:04Speaker 1: of the greats that were still alive were there. It
- 12:08Speaker 1: was a for the most part. A really good show,
- 12:13Speaker 1: and I got to visit with Susan Morrison afterward. She
- 12:19Speaker 1: chronicled all of it. I think she even went to
- 12:22Speaker 1: the after party. So we're gonna hear that, and then
- 12:28Speaker 1: we're going to hear a song that she referenced. It
- 12:31Speaker 1: was my favorite part of the show. That's Adam Sandler
- 12:35Speaker 1: singing the song that he wrote about the fiftieth anniversary
- 12:39Speaker 1: of Saturday Night Live. Here is my interview with Susan Morrison. Susan,
- 12:45Speaker 1: how are you.
- 12:47Speaker 12: I'm fine, I'm a little bleary. I just got in
- 12:50Speaker 12: from the SNL after party.
- 12:51Speaker 1: Oh my gosh. How was the after party? Was it
- 12:55Speaker 1: better than the show or not?
- 12:59Speaker 13: It was?
- 12:59Speaker 14: It was?
- 13:00Speaker 12: I would say it was about the same. It was
- 13:03Speaker 12: of a spectacular scale.
- 13:06Speaker 1: It was great. What was your highlight? What was your
- 13:09Speaker 1: highlight last night of the show.
- 13:12Speaker 12: Well, i'd say too. I love the Deputy Downer sketch. Yes,
- 13:15Speaker 12: fun to see the nero in it. And I loved
- 13:18Speaker 12: Adam Sandler's songs.
- 13:19Speaker 15: Yes.
- 13:20Speaker 12: And I also I got to have.
- 13:21Speaker 1: A third one.
- 13:21Speaker 12: I loved seeing Meryl Streep make her debut on the show.
- 13:24Speaker 12: How about that as an alien abductee?
- 13:28Speaker 1: She was great. So when the show was over, I'm
- 13:34Speaker 1: looking and Chevy Chase was certainly mentioned. He got a
- 13:39Speaker 1: brief on camera with the people on stage afterward. Any
- 13:44Speaker 1: surprises that he wasn't didn't have a lot to do
- 13:48Speaker 1: it at the show last night.
- 13:51Speaker 12: You know, I could be wrong, but I have a hunch,
- 13:55Speaker 12: and I didn't fact check this, but I have a
- 13:57Speaker 12: hunch that there was maybe a sketch that was cut
- 14:00Speaker 12: because I know they had Jane Curtain and Chevy in
- 14:03Speaker 12: the billing, yes, but then they weren't in the show.
- 14:06Speaker 12: And I noticed that when Marty Short was signing off
- 14:09Speaker 12: at the end, he thanked a handful of people who
- 14:12Speaker 12: weren't in sketches, including Jay Farrow. So, you know, one
- 14:16Speaker 12: of the things that was unusual about last night's show
- 14:19Speaker 12: is that it was three hours for one but they
- 14:21Speaker 12: did no dress rehearsal. Right, dress rehearsal is usually when
- 14:25Speaker 12: these things get whittled down into fitting, and I think,
- 14:29Speaker 12: you know, it just rolled on, and I bet you
- 14:32Speaker 12: they had to cut a couple things, or at least
- 14:35Speaker 12: one thing, just so that the nightly news could go on,
- 14:38Speaker 12: you know. So that's my theory, but I'll.
- 14:40Speaker 1: Let you know if I I talked to Chevy.
- 14:44Speaker 12: I talked to Chevy afterwards, and he was in very
- 14:46Speaker 12: good spirits, was really happy about the whole thing.
- 14:48Speaker 1: You know, it was interesting because I did read something.
- 14:52Speaker 1: You know. They were the Chris Rock birthday party, and
- 14:55Speaker 1: he had all his pictures taken. There was even a
- 14:59Speaker 1: picture with a smiling Chevy with his arm draped around
- 15:03Speaker 1: Bill Murray.
- 15:04Speaker 12: Oh yeah, I know, you know, time heals always sure.
- 15:08Speaker 12: I mean, all these people they're like, it's like the Godfather.
- 15:12Speaker 12: I mean, it's it's a family. You know, Lauren is
- 15:14Speaker 12: God the generations of these people. They have little spats,
- 15:18Speaker 12: they fall in and out of love, but in the end,
- 15:21Speaker 12: they're all in the family.
- 15:23Speaker 1: You know, not too many people go fifty years at anything,
- 15:30Speaker 1: and especially in this business. What does it say about
- 15:34Speaker 1: Lauren Michaels And I realize he wasn't there all fifty,
- 15:38Speaker 1: but certainly the majority, and he is the Godfather. What
- 15:41Speaker 1: does it say about his staying power with this program
- 15:45Speaker 1: and with the network over all these years.
- 15:49Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 15:50Speaker 12: Conan O'Brien likes to say that, you know, if there
- 15:53Speaker 12: was a show business game of Thrones, Lauren would be
- 15:56Speaker 12: the last one standing. He he he said to me
- 16:00Speaker 12: numerous times in all the interviews that I had with him. This,
- 16:04Speaker 12: I think is the secret of his longevity. He says,
- 16:06Speaker 12: when the music changes, you have to change.
- 16:09Speaker 13: You know.
- 16:09Speaker 1: He's always been a student.
- 16:11Speaker 12: Of the kind of hinges between eras, and I think
- 16:14Speaker 12: he learned this in the ten years he spent in
- 16:17Speaker 12: LA before SNL, working on a whole series of Kruddy
- 16:20Speaker 12: Variety shows, Perry Como's Christmas Beautiful, Philis Diller Show, and
- 16:25Speaker 12: there you had a lot of these weird cultural collisions
- 16:28Speaker 12: where you'd have, you know, Ernest borgnine, you know, with
- 16:32Speaker 12: the Jefferson airplay or something. And I think he noticed
- 16:36Speaker 12: how awkward those things were, and he made it his
- 16:39Speaker 12: business to not let those kinds of things happen on
- 16:42Speaker 12: his show. And he always hired enough young people who
- 16:45Speaker 12: could tell him what was cool and hip. If he
- 16:47Speaker 12: got too old to figure out himself. I mean, I
- 16:49Speaker 12: don't know if he himself is listening to Bad Bunny
- 16:51Speaker 12: at home.
- 16:52Speaker 1: Yes, yes, you know. I thought it was interesting that
- 16:56Speaker 1: he told the writers he didn't want darkness, he wanted light.
- 17:02Speaker 1: That that is, even in today's world, that's very unusual,
- 17:07Speaker 1: is it not.
- 17:09Speaker 12: No, I think you're right. Uh, but he has a
- 17:11Speaker 12: theory about comedy. You know, he says to his people,
- 17:14Speaker 12: do it in sunshine, you know, the goal of a
- 17:18Speaker 12: hard laugh, which is what he wants in a sketch.
- 17:21Speaker 12: He'll say, you know, well you've got a hard laugh.
- 17:24Speaker 12: It's this involuntary spasm. He said, it makes you feel free,
- 17:28Speaker 12: it makes you feel like you did when you were
- 17:30Speaker 12: nine years old. And I think you know he doesn't.
- 17:34Speaker 12: I mean, yes, they do plenty of political comedy on
- 17:36Speaker 12: the show, but he really he's not trying to push
- 17:39Speaker 12: a political agenda. He's going when the laughs are, you know,
- 17:42Speaker 12: if it's you know, yes, he probably voted for Bill Clinton,
- 17:46Speaker 12: but sure he'd make fun of Bill Clinton.
- 17:47Speaker 16: You know.
- 17:47Speaker 12: It's he doesn't like to think of the show as
- 17:50Speaker 12: doing partisan material. He just wants it to be entertainment.
- 17:54Speaker 1: Why do you think the late night shows right now,
- 17:58Speaker 1: Susan don't and here to that because not nearly as
- 18:03Speaker 1: many people are watching as used to.
- 18:07Speaker 12: Well, I think that just has to do with technology
- 18:09Speaker 12: and the fact that people are used to screaming. You know,
- 18:12Speaker 12: SNL was the ultimate of what used to be called
- 18:15Speaker 12: appointment television. You know, you would you would gather with
- 18:19Speaker 12: your friends in the basement with your bong or dorm
- 18:22Speaker 12: room or whatever, and when it was on, and if
- 18:25Speaker 12: you missed it, you missed it.
- 18:27Speaker 11: But now, you know.
- 18:28Speaker 12: Amy Poehler famously said that, you know, SNL was the
- 18:31Speaker 12: show that her parents used to have sex to in
- 18:33Speaker 12: the seventies, and now it's the show she watches on
- 18:36Speaker 12: her computer in the middle of the day. Yeah, yeah,
- 18:40Speaker 12: you know, it's just that people don't have to stay
- 18:42Speaker 12: home and watch it at eleventh thiry. They can watch it,
- 18:45Speaker 12: you know, a couple sketches on the subway on their phones.
- 18:47Speaker 1: It's but you know, the show is modular.
- 18:50Speaker 12: It's a lot of bite sized things, so really it
- 18:53Speaker 12: kind of lends itself to that.
- 18:55Speaker 1: What you're thinking about the future of this program.
- 19:00Speaker 12: I think NBC wants to keep it going. It's a
- 19:03Speaker 12: huge cash cow and rating success for them. I don't
- 19:07Speaker 12: see Lauren stepping away from it. I think he's going
- 19:09Speaker 12: to have carried out of there on a stretcher. You know,
- 19:12Speaker 12: it's his life's work. His fingerprints are on every bit
- 19:15Speaker 12: of it.
- 19:18Speaker 13: You know.
- 19:18Speaker 12: You hear a lot about, you know, rumors of Tina
- 19:20Speaker 12: Fey or Seth Myers taking over. I think a likelier
- 19:23Speaker 12: or smarter scenario would be for Luren to cut back
- 19:27Speaker 12: his studio time. I could see it working if you
- 19:30Speaker 12: were to come in whenesdays, the day they do read through,
- 19:34Speaker 12: and also to come in Saturday evening when they do
- 19:36Speaker 12: dress rehearsal, and after which he kind of slices and
- 19:39Speaker 12: dices the show and changes it around and cuts things
- 19:43Speaker 12: and changes things.
- 19:44Speaker 1: But I think that the other five.
- 19:45Speaker 12: Days of the week could be managed by his very
- 19:48Speaker 12: able squad of deputies. So anyways, that would be my
- 19:51Speaker 12: advice of NBC wants my.
- 19:54Speaker 1: How would you describe his personality, Susan, Well.
- 19:59Speaker 12: He's he's very dry and very restrained, kind of like
- 20:04Speaker 12: Jack Benny in the book. I say he speaks in
- 20:07Speaker 12: the tones of a man announcing a golf tournament. You know,
- 20:12Speaker 12: I don't think Lauren Michael says ever used an exclamation point.
- 20:15Speaker 12: It's very controlling and controlled and low key, and it's
- 20:20Speaker 12: that kind of you know, you lean in to try
- 20:23Speaker 12: to listen to him, hear him. It's a bit of
- 20:26Speaker 12: a power move, but it works. Everybody you know wants
- 20:29Speaker 12: to listen to him and wants him to listen to them.
- 20:32Speaker 1: It obviously played well, and everybody obviously knew who the
- 20:36Speaker 1: boss was. Correct, Absolutely, yeah. I mean there was never
- 20:40Speaker 1: any doubt who was running THIGS, was there?
- 20:43Speaker 12: No, No, not at all. And I think he has
- 20:45Speaker 12: a very complex but intuitive management strategy. Jutt Apatel once
- 20:53Speaker 12: said that, you know, when he was a twenty four
- 20:55Speaker 12: year old being the showrunner of the Ben Stiller Show,
- 20:58Speaker 12: which ran in the nineties Fox, he was in his
- 21:02Speaker 12: office stressing out, reading manuals on how to manage people.
- 21:07Speaker 12: You know, I don't think Lauren ever did anything like that,
- 21:10Speaker 12: but he has. You know, as Chris Rock told me,
- 21:12Speaker 12: this guy's been thousands of people's boss. He understands human nature.
- 21:17Speaker 12: He's a good study, you know, student of character. He
- 21:20Speaker 12: knows how to get what he needs to get out
- 21:23Speaker 12: of people.
- 21:24Speaker 1: The book is called Lauren, the Man who invented sn L.
- 21:27Speaker 1: The author is Susan Morrison. Susan, I really appreciate your time.
- 21:31Speaker 1: Thank you so much, thank you.
- 21:36Speaker 15: Hey, here we go.
- 21:38Speaker 17: Everyone in this room has something in common. All of
- 21:44Speaker 17: our lives were changed by the show. Everyone in this
- 21:50Speaker 17: room as something else in common. None of us were
- 21:55Speaker 17: allowed to use the little bathroom in Lauren's office.
- 22:00Speaker 18: Fifty years fifty years. Saturday Night Live has been on
- 22:08Speaker 18: for fifty years. Fifty years of your sketch killing and
- 22:14Speaker 18: read through and.
- 22:16Speaker 17: Finding out they didn't pick it because the host didn't
- 22:19Speaker 17: want to take off his shirt. Fifty years of Tuesday
- 22:25Speaker 17: Late night Pizza.
- 22:28Speaker 9: Thirty five years of Pepto Bismo from Nurse Teresa. Yeah,
- 22:36Speaker 9: fifty years of the cast looking straight at the que
- 22:40Speaker 9: cards and thirty years of drunk Wally holding the que
- 22:45Speaker 9: cards upside down.
- 22:48Speaker 1: Any why?
- 22:51Speaker 9: Fifty years of writers seeing Spielberg at Lorrens monitors not
- 22:57Speaker 9: laughing at one of their sketches that he obvious he hated.
- 23:02Speaker 9: Fifty years of those same writers the getting wasted at
- 23:05Speaker 9: the after party and loudly telling everybody that Jaws was overrated.
- 23:13Speaker 9: Fifty years of Frank calling some New York magazine critic.
- 23:19Speaker 9: Fifty years of finding out your favorite musician's anti semitic.
- 23:24Speaker 9: Fifty years of asking an intern to pick up your
- 23:27Speaker 9: laundry at two thirty am, not realizing that the intern
- 23:32Speaker 9: was Martin Scorsese's kid, or Nora Front's kid, or Randy
- 23:37Speaker 9: Newman's kid, or whoever Lauren had dinner with on Wednesday
- 23:41Speaker 9: Night's kid.
- 23:43Speaker 18: Fifty years of cast members saying I'm not getting on enough.
- 23:48Speaker 19: Fair spirits have broken into hearts are full of malice.
- 23:54Speaker 19: Fifty years of them storming off to tell Urn how
- 23:57Speaker 19: they really feel that getting out and saying, hey, Lauren,
- 24:02Speaker 19: I knitted this scar for Alis.
- 24:06Speaker 20: Fifty years of waking up Sunday afternoon to press, fifty.
- 24:12Speaker 9: Years of Downy not riding the cold open until five
- 24:14Speaker 9: minutes before.
- 24:15Speaker 15: Dress and Colin.
- 24:17Speaker 20: Fifty years of wondering who's going to take over the
- 24:20Speaker 20: show when Lorne retires, but everyone knows that the answer is,
- 24:26Speaker 20: of course Speedy.
- 24:29Speaker 18: That Amy's.
- 24:32Speaker 20: Fifty years of young comedians getting higher for the shoe.
- 24:38Speaker 1: From stand Up Ground, Lague, Second City and.
- 24:40Speaker 15: All the Reds.
- 24:43Speaker 1: Fifty years of cast members.
- 24:45Speaker 9: Saying, I think our cast is the greatest.
- 24:47Speaker 20: Of all time, but we all know that the first cast.
- 24:52Speaker 15: Was the best.
- 24:54Speaker 1: And because of them.
- 24:58Speaker 20: We got four years years of the Eddie Murphy, eight
- 25:02Speaker 20: years of will Fourteen, five years of chan Hooks and Guilda,
- 25:07Speaker 20: six of Victoria, eleven of jan three years of Melody HUDs.
- 25:13Speaker 20: So Michael mcke crushed it to one of Billy Crystal,
- 25:18Speaker 20: six of Dennis Miller, eight of harm.
- 25:21Speaker 14: In the Blue, seven years of Attracting Way, five year
- 25:26Speaker 14: Votary and Quill, four of Kazariskian Cleague on eleven of
- 25:33Speaker 14: a Harvest, fourteen years of Davis and Handy Schiller.
- 25:38Speaker 20: Is Spinal Like, twenty five.
- 25:41Speaker 14: Eighteen of Monckie Deamont and Damie Wilson, plus among and
- 25:45Speaker 14: dis going Bobby.
- 25:46Speaker 20: Man, thirty years of Down Here, forty five years.
- 25:52Speaker 9: Of Lord, six years of Our Boy Farley, five of
- 25:59Speaker 9: Our Buddy, fifty years of one of Us skinting the same.
- 26:07Speaker 1: Live from New York, It's.
- 26:09Speaker 20: Saturday Night, fifty years of standing on home based.
- 26:14Speaker 10: Waiting Night, and.
- 26:20Speaker 20: Fifty years of the best Times of Our Live.
- 26:35Speaker 1: The legendary Adam Sandler with a trip down memory Lane
- 26:40Speaker 1: on the fiftieth anniversary of Saturday Night Live. I don't
- 26:44Speaker 1: care if you didn't like it. I loved it, and
- 26:47Speaker 1: I saw Sandler. Letterman does the show on Netflix call
- 26:53Speaker 1: my next guest needs no introduction, and he just did
- 26:56Speaker 1: one with Adam Sandler. And I've learned a lot about
- 27:01Speaker 1: Adam Sandler. I didn't know about his musicians ship, and
- 27:06Speaker 1: you know, sometimes he does certain things like that on purpose.
- 27:09Speaker 1: But you can't question some of the songs that he's
- 27:15Speaker 1: written over the years are classics, but pretty cool. I
- 27:19Speaker 1: mean pretty cool and in that business. The other unusual
- 27:23Speaker 1: thing that stood out to me is that he's had
- 27:27Speaker 1: the same wife for all these years, so that was
- 27:29Speaker 1: pretty amazing to me as well. Okay, that's just a
- 27:34Speaker 1: little trip. We'll try to do a little bit more,
- 27:38Speaker 1: maybe even tomorrow, a couple of times next week. Our
- 27:41Speaker 1: time is running out in twenty twenty five. My last
- 27:44Speaker 1: show is a week from tomorrow for twenty twenty five,
- 27:49Speaker 1: and which means we don't have a lot left, which
- 27:52Speaker 1: means I'm trying to, you know, play some things that
- 27:58Speaker 1: I've enjoyed over this year for sure. Okay, we're going
- 28:02Speaker 1: to take a break. Scotland Dinnon is here. We're going
- 28:05Speaker 1: to change up things and actually talk some sports once
- 28:08Speaker 1: or you know, for one or two minutes. Mallory is
- 28:11Speaker 1: here with some entertainment. In the second hour, we begin
- 28:15Speaker 1: our look back at dead celebrities in twenty twenty five
- 28:19Speaker 1: and who died in twenty twenty five. You'll be surprised.
- 28:24Speaker 1: I'm always surprised when I go through the list. I
- 28:26Speaker 1: go I didn't realize that, But that's what we do. Okay,
- 28:31Speaker 1: min Christmas soon you don't have a gift. You won't
- 28:37Speaker 1: until like two days before Christmas, no matter how what
- 28:40Speaker 1: I tell you or what I say. But one of
- 28:43Speaker 1: them is very simple, and one of them is very
- 28:47Speaker 1: much appreciated. One of them will not be taken back
- 28:52Speaker 1: in exchange. It is a gift or to get from
- 28:55Speaker 1: Galleria Spa Salon or Galleria Day Spa at Rock Prey
- 29:00Speaker 1: or at Century Square. You'll go in, put it a little,
- 29:05Speaker 1: nice little bag with ribbons all over it. It'll be
- 29:10Speaker 1: the prettiest thing under the tree. So think you went
- 29:13Speaker 1: to great great links. Oh that's such a thoughtful gift.
- 29:17Speaker 1: I didn't know you were going to do something like that.
- 29:20Speaker 1: And again you don't have to give me credit. I
- 29:23Speaker 1: don't mind. We've been doing this for almost as long

- 32:00Speaker 15: Thank you.
- 32:01Speaker 1: I'm telling you you're welcome. This college football season has
- 32:06Speaker 1: been crazy, and apparently we're not done with crazy yet.
- 32:09Speaker 15: Well I don't know, because the last pick on your
- 32:13Speaker 15: picks is Michigan in Texas.
- 32:17Speaker 1: Well, I may have to go back and change that
- 32:18Speaker 1: pick what I would.
- 32:19Speaker 15: Have picked previously. But since I just filled out your contest.
- 32:26Speaker 1: Could we have some music for that contest police?
- 32:29Speaker 15: Because this is kind of appropriate right now. The story applies.
- 32:33Speaker 1: The story does apply because you don't know who's coaching,
- 32:36Speaker 1: who's playing, if the team's playing, Michigan is not opting
- 32:43Speaker 1: out of the Citrus Bowl. They've named an interim coach.
- 32:46Speaker 1: But like I said, I may have to go back
- 32:48Speaker 1: and rethink things. There's ten games, only ten some of
- 32:53Speaker 1: you have said, Chip, please do your normal fifteen. No,
- 32:57Speaker 1: I'm doing ten this year.
- 33:00Speaker 15: I don't want to count that much.
- 33:01Speaker 1: I do not want to count that high. And I
- 33:03Speaker 1: didn't want to take the time to try to figure
- 33:05Speaker 1: out all of those weird names and weird teams.
- 33:08Speaker 15: Because we don't have a Bahamas Bowl anymore.
- 33:10Speaker 1: We're not I know, there's no Bahamas.
- 33:11Speaker 15: Know what it is now?
- 33:12Speaker 1: Yeah, it's at the Blue Star. And for correct there's
- 33:17Speaker 1: ten games, four CFP games, Miami in A and M
- 33:21Speaker 1: that's a tiebreaker. Alabama, Oklahoma, Tulene, O Mess, James Madison
- 33:27Speaker 1: in Oregon, Pennsake, Clemson, Georgia Tech BYU. That's the Pop
- 33:32Speaker 1: Cards Bowl, l s A. Houston is the Texas Bowl.
- 33:36Speaker 1: USC TCU is the Alamo Bowl. I happen to think
- 33:40Speaker 1: that was gonna be pretty entertaining. It usually is, actually
- 33:43Speaker 1: the Alamo Bowl always Iowa Vanderbilt in the rely Quest Bowl.
- 33:48Speaker 1: There's no certain theme about that. I just saw that
- 33:51Speaker 1: Vanderbilt was playing. I stuck them on there. And Texas
- 33:56Speaker 1: Michigan and the Citrus Bowl. And remember you cannot spell
- 34:00Speaker 1: Citrus without ut Our Bowl edition Friday's Fearless Football forecast
- 34:06Speaker 1: contest is brought to you always by Chad Jones Law
- 34:12Speaker 1: and swear them, imploring you have until Friday week, a
- 34:17Speaker 1: week from Friday at five pm to make your.
- 34:21Speaker 15: Bowl spell Citrus spell for me.
- 34:24Speaker 1: Uh c I t r U S citrus.
- 34:30Speaker 15: Okay, because it seems like there's a little little uh.
- 34:34Speaker 15: I mean there's some there's some tu in there. If
- 34:37Speaker 15: you do it kind of in the way that it.
- 34:39Speaker 1: Happens, you know, I can't go. It's all right.
- 34:43Speaker 15: Notre Dame is is public giving number one. The Longhorns
- 34:47Speaker 15: are off of everybody's list for the fourth.
- 34:49Speaker 1: What is Notre Dame doing?
- 34:52Speaker 15: I've been waiting, Chip. I almost stopped and came up
- 34:56Speaker 15: here Monday in a four o'clock coward to talk with
- 35:00Speaker 15: you about this, and then the Big twelve commissioner said
- 35:05Speaker 15: everything I was gonna say.
- 35:08Speaker 1: Yeah, he kind of let him up.
- 35:09Speaker 15: You cannot run your nose down at at the ACC.
- 35:15Speaker 15: When they saved football for you in twenty twenty true
- 35:20Speaker 15: story making you a temporary one year member of the
- 35:25Speaker 15: conference and letting you play. They played perdue No, they
- 35:31Speaker 15: played one non ACC game. They played nine ACC games.
- 35:35Speaker 15: They went nine and one, ten and one. Overall, they
- 35:41Speaker 15: got in to the tournament, I know everybody says, and
- 35:45Speaker 15: Notre Dame probably should have been in the way they
- 35:47Speaker 15: got beat by Clemson when they actually had Trevor Lawrence
- 35:51Speaker 15: playing quarterback as opposed to DJ. How do you say,
- 35:57Speaker 15: Ula Lay? Yes, everybody thought was going to be a
- 36:01Speaker 15: player and wasn't right. The first nil guy ever with
- 36:07Speaker 15: Dr Pepper. But the real reason Ryan Hm didn't get
- 36:12Speaker 15: in the playoffs had years because the Big the Big
- 36:14Speaker 15: Ten changed their rules and said Ohio State could be
- 36:16Speaker 15: their representative even though they had only played five games.
- 36:21Speaker 15: But that all being said, the ACC saved football for you.
- 36:28Speaker 15: You got paid millions of dollars that season because the
- 36:33Speaker 15: ACC said, yes, we're gonna treat you like a member,
- 36:38Speaker 15: come in here. And then all of a sudden, six
- 36:43Speaker 15: years later, the ACEC has never done anything for a
- 36:45Speaker 15: Notre Dame.
- 36:46Speaker 1: Not only have they never done anything for Notre Dame,
- 36:50Speaker 1: they've been campaigning against Notre Dame.
- 36:53Speaker 15: Yes, has Notre Dame given them any of their bull
- 36:56Speaker 15: money ever? No, have they given them any of their
- 36:59Speaker 15: TV money ever?
- 37:00Speaker 20: No?
- 37:01Speaker 15: Do their other sports survive because the ACC gives them
- 37:05Speaker 15: a schedule that people will actually go watch their Yes, huh,
- 37:10Speaker 15: is Notre Dame basketball any good anymore?
- 37:13Speaker 7: No?
- 37:14Speaker 15: Okay, is Notre Dame baseball any good?
- 37:17Speaker 1: I don't know they're not.
- 37:19Speaker 15: Okay, Okay, go through all their sports. Women's basketball is good.
- 37:23Speaker 15: It is. They've won a national title. They beat A
- 37:27Speaker 15: and M twice to go to the final four with
- 37:30Speaker 15: Gary Blair. I can act like that's not a good program,
- 37:33Speaker 15: but Notre Dame is is helped significantly by the acason.
- 37:39Speaker 1: By the way, did you check out all the TV
- 37:41Speaker 1: ratings for teams? Notre Dame is way down the list. Yes,
- 37:46Speaker 1: they are way down the list.
- 37:48Speaker 15: So do you think the Big twelve, excuse me, the
- 37:55Speaker 15: Big ten wants to let Notre Dame cherry pick five
- 37:58Speaker 15: losses in making a schedule for them to add five
- 38:04Speaker 15: losses to.
- 38:05Speaker 1: Would you let Notre Dame into your conference?
- 38:07Speaker 23: No?
- 38:08Speaker 15: I understand football, okay, but they're not gonna come as
- 38:11Speaker 15: be a full member. They're gonna want to.
- 38:13Speaker 1: Have their say. Here's here's what I think part of
- 38:16Speaker 1: it is. This guy probably understands the ACC is not
- 38:22Speaker 1: going to be a conference within three to five years.
- 38:25Speaker 15: It may not, but Notre Dame's not holding it up.
- 38:29Speaker 1: No, No, no, no, if Notre Dame, Notre Dame is
- 38:32Speaker 1: not propping up the ACC.
- 38:33Speaker 15: If Miami didn't get in this year, it might have
- 38:37Speaker 15: been one year before the ACC was gone. Yeah, Notre
- 38:41Speaker 15: Dame is not doing anything to help the ACC. And
- 38:44Speaker 15: unless Notre Dame becomes a full member with another conference,
- 38:49Speaker 15: namely the Big Ten or the SEC, you're not getting
- 38:53Speaker 15: a sweetheart deal that the ACC is making for you. You
- 38:56Speaker 15: can go play Big East for all your other sports,
- 38:59Speaker 15: then nobody you'll go watch.
- 39:03Speaker 1: Maybe you could play Yukon twice during the football season
- 39:06Speaker 1: like a home and home.
- 39:07Speaker 15: Yeah, hey, you could join the PAC twelve.
- 39:10Speaker 1: You could join the Pac twelve. Maybe you could do
- 39:13Speaker 1: a home and home with Oregon State and Washington and
- 39:15Speaker 1: Washington State.
- 39:16Speaker 15: People would just love what it got.
- 39:18Speaker 1: Six wins for the Irish lined up right now.
- 39:20Speaker 15: The Irish always have six wins.
- 39:23Speaker 1: True.
- 39:24Speaker 15: All right, we're gonna don't know if they can beat Yukon.
- 39:26Speaker 1: We're gonna take a break, we'll come back. Texans Reports

- 40:15Speaker 24: dealing with its fair share of injured players following Sunday's
- 40:17Speaker 24: win over the Kansas City Chiefs. Later today, the Texans

- 44:17Speaker 1: a Houston astro fan, I'll be a little bit concerned.
- 44:19Speaker 1: Right now they're selling off pieces of their minor league.
- 44:23Speaker 15: No, they sold their home minor league.
- 44:25Speaker 1: I don't think they sold the whole minor league. They
- 44:27Speaker 1: did triple A double, A single, A I guess they did.
- 44:33Speaker 15: They don't have by they.
- 44:35Speaker 1: Don't have that b right right, Rookie league.
- 44:38Speaker 15: Yeah, all that doesn't exist anymore.
- 44:40Speaker 1: Diamond Baseball Holdings an organization that owns and operates minor
- 44:44Speaker 1: league baseball clubs affiliated with Major League Baseball. What what's
- 44:48Speaker 1: behind this I don't. I don't. I haven't studied this.
- 44:50Speaker 15: I have no idea. I mean, praying out of money?
- 44:53Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 44:53Speaker 15: Is he no?
- 44:55Speaker 1: Or is he Audamboddy wants to spend on baseball.
- 44:58Speaker 15: Maybe he's just out of patience the money on minor
- 45:00Speaker 15: league baseball?
- 45:02Speaker 1: You think, you know? I mean, I think they have
- 45:05Speaker 1: a couple of I don't know anything about Fayetteville, but
- 45:09Speaker 1: but they're they're double at Triple A pretty yeah, the
- 45:12Speaker 1: pretty good organizations.
- 45:13Speaker 15: In great places to watch the game.
- 45:15Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying. Yeah, So what do you think
- 45:18Speaker 1: they're doing?
- 45:19Speaker 15: I just think that what is that now? They own
- 45:21Speaker 15: sixty eight or forty eight other minor.
- 45:23Speaker 1: League she owns and operates select I don't think it
- 45:27Speaker 1: says how many.
- 45:28Speaker 15: I thought I saw sixty eight or forty one. Okay,
- 45:30Speaker 15: So you know, obviously doing the promotions and all that
- 45:35Speaker 15: kind of stuff, that that is minor league baseball. You've
- 45:39Speaker 15: got a group here that's good at it, and you
- 45:42Speaker 15: have good attendance for.
- 45:44Speaker 1: The astroll, you don't you don't have to pay a
- 45:46Speaker 1: lot extra people, that's for sure, because this organization going
- 45:50Speaker 1: to pay the people, right, They're going to.
- 45:51Speaker 15: Pay the people.
- 45:51Speaker 1: They're going to hire them.
- 45:52Speaker 15: Yeah, forty eight others. Yeah, okay, so I just you
- 45:57Speaker 15: know all you got to do forty eight.
- 45:58Speaker 1: Total teams, right, okay, yeah so there. I mean it
- 46:03Speaker 1: could be as much as half a Major League Baseball
- 46:05Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 46:05Speaker 15: Yeah, so I think that, Well, no, forty eight, I
- 46:09Speaker 15: mean everybody.
- 46:10Speaker 1: Only you only have three, now that's what I'm saying.
- 46:12Speaker 15: Yeah, so half of mate, they owned them, half of
- 46:15Speaker 15: the Major League Baseball. They must be good at it, Okay,
- 46:18Speaker 15: because I don't. I don't see minor league teams failing.
- 46:22Speaker 20: Now.
- 46:22Speaker 1: You don't really hear of that, dude.
- 46:24Speaker 15: When I went to in Charleston, West Virginia this last
- 46:27Speaker 15: summer that used to be a minor league and is
- 46:30Speaker 15: now independent ball, Yeah, they were drawing people. Yeah, getting
- 46:35Speaker 15: to watch baseball in the summer in the minors and
- 46:38Speaker 15: independent ball is I's still a family fun event.
- 46:42Speaker 1: That's Americana, man. Yeah, you got to do it.
- 46:45Speaker 15: Yes, So the dirty Birds I got me at Charleston,
- 46:47Speaker 15: West Virginia. Dirty bird hat.
- 46:50Speaker 1: You can't beat that. Well, I got it, I got it,
- 46:54Speaker 1: I got it.
- 46:55Speaker 15: I thought it was only Christmas, Willie, today it is.
- 46:59Speaker 15: Oh that was your phone. I didn't even realize.
- 47:01Speaker 1: Yeah, that was my phone.
- 47:05Speaker 15: I call it every now and then, so you'll look
- 47:07Speaker 15: at the text I sent you.
- 47:08Speaker 1: Yeah, I know. Uh, okay, So I just wanted to
- 47:12Speaker 1: get your thoughts on that.
- 47:14Speaker 15: By the way.
- 47:16Speaker 12: Uh.
- 47:16Speaker 15: For Friday's Feelers football forecast, I want to say that
- 47:20Speaker 15: I was disappointed in my sixth place finish, but I
- 47:23Speaker 15: want to tip my hat.
- 47:25Speaker 1: Did you finish sixth overall?
- 47:26Speaker 15: No? I finished sixth in this room, No, I finished sixth.
- 47:32Speaker 15: Betime Pop's Martin, who is the winner of the forgot
- 47:37Speaker 15: to do It one week contest Okay, because he continued
- 47:41Speaker 15: to do it after he forgot to do it right,
- 47:43Speaker 15: which you have to do to be eligible. Yes, okay,
- 47:46Speaker 15: if you just forgot the last one, you're not eligible
- 47:49Speaker 15: for the yes uh and the zero amount of prizes
- 47:53Speaker 15: that are given for it. But Pop's Martin won the
- 47:58Speaker 15: I forgot to submit this a week content Okay. He
- 48:00Speaker 15: got ninety eight right.
- 48:01Speaker 1: Okay, that's more than me. Ninety eight right, that's more
- 48:05Speaker 1: than me. So he I played every weekend.
- 48:08Speaker 15: Okay. Now, he wouldn't have won unless he threw a
- 48:12Speaker 15: perfect ten on that week yep, but he very well
- 48:15Speaker 15: could have been a top five guy, because ninety eight
- 48:18Speaker 15: and only missing one week is pretty good, extremely high number.
- 48:22Speaker 15: That's a pretty good number.
- 48:23Speaker 1: That's pretty good.
- 48:24Speaker 15: So I finished tied for six in the I forgot
- 48:27Speaker 15: to do it one week.
- 48:28Speaker 1: Well congratulations, Well thank you.
- 48:30Speaker 15: But you did beat me by doing all the weeks.
- 48:32Speaker 1: Oh good, you got that going forward?
- 48:34Speaker 15: You were you were awful two ahead of me.
- 48:37Speaker 1: It was awful when I missed a week, Yeah it was.
- 48:40Speaker 15: I pulled a four last week.
- 48:41Speaker 1: Just a bad year.
- 48:42Speaker 15: I pulled a four.
- 48:43Speaker 1: Four. I think I got seven last week enough to
- 48:47Speaker 1: beat you.
- 48:47Speaker 15: That's why you moved in front of me.
- 48:49Speaker 1: Yeah, there you go. Uh, Okay, it's awards ceremony. Just
- 48:55Speaker 1: want to throw that out, Yes, Casey concepts you on
- 48:58Speaker 1: with a really nice award today, that Paul Warning Award.
- 49:01Speaker 1: Unfortunately you have to be pretty old to know who
- 49:04Speaker 1: Paul Horning was. But but I love I love the
- 49:08Speaker 1: idea of the award, right, the all around player, the
- 49:11Speaker 1: all purpose player.
- 49:12Speaker 15: Yeah, and you had to have it be on a
- 49:14Speaker 15: team with a losing record to win that Notre Dame was.
- 49:17Speaker 1: Well, that only gets you the Heisman Trophy. That won't
- 49:21Speaker 1: get you the Horning.
- 49:22Speaker 15: I won't get you then just get hoarding awards for
- 49:25Speaker 15: the years they were good the previous two years. Yeah,
- 49:29Speaker 15: not the year they had the losing record.
- 49:30Speaker 1: When the Lombardes tonight. Okay, cash is how Caden Proctor
- 49:38Speaker 1: of Alabama, David Bailey, Jacob Rodriguez. If somebody, yes, I voted,
- 49:43Speaker 1: but I will not.
- 49:45Speaker 15: Oh absolutely, just tech could split their vote a little bit.
- 49:49Speaker 1: You know, I don't buy that. I mean maybe I
- 49:52Speaker 1: don't know, but sure he has a chance, so he
- 49:54Speaker 1: should have a chance.
- 49:55Speaker 15: It's obvious the offensive lineman from Alabama will win it.
- 49:58Speaker 1: I don't know, we'll see.
- 49:59Speaker 15: I just you know, I remember they were throwing Remember
- 50:02Speaker 15: going down throwing the ball games down the stretch.
- 50:05Speaker 1: Well they didn't. I really should have because nobody else
- 50:09Speaker 1: could catch it. I remember going down there when dat
- 50:14Speaker 1: was was given that award. That was that was pretty cool.
- 50:17Speaker 15: But what number was he?
- 50:19Speaker 1: What number winner on the jersey? I don't remember, I
- 50:25Speaker 1: know I should. You're looking at me like I'm kidding.
- 50:27Speaker 1: I'm not kidding.
- 50:28Speaker 15: Worst number nine?
- 50:28Speaker 1: Yes he does.
- 50:30Speaker 15: What does cashus Hill wear? What is cash as Holware?
- 50:34Speaker 1: Same number, same number?
- 50:36Speaker 15: A shot.
- 50:37Speaker 1: He wasn't named the Defensive Player of the Year in
- 50:39Speaker 1: the SEC. That's first for an A and M player.
- 50:42Speaker 15: That usually leads the postseason awards.
- 50:44Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean he's got others, right.
- 50:46Speaker 26: Uh.
- 50:47Speaker 1: The awards show next week in UH Orlando. When they give,
- 50:51Speaker 1: they give Friday before. No, I think it's this coming
- 50:55Speaker 1: like this coming Monday or Tuesday night. The Heisman is
- 50:58Speaker 1: this week. It's like the Heisman is Saturday night. Yeah,
- 51:03Speaker 1: but I think all these other away.
- 51:05Speaker 15: By the way, Yeah, I know you don't say what
- 51:08Speaker 15: your vote is.
- 51:09Speaker 1: Yeah, I can't until Saturday night.
- 51:12Speaker 15: Fine bomb said on Monday.
- 51:14Speaker 1: Yeah, somebody told me that. And it's like, I guess
- 51:17Speaker 1: he's big enough that he doesn't, you know, get hiss.
- 51:20Speaker 1: What I would like to see is the Heisman trust
- 51:25Speaker 1: take away his vote. Yeah yeah, because they've been pretty
- 51:29Speaker 1: adamant about that the last three or four years. Remember,
- 51:31Speaker 1: we all know who is going to win because everybody
- 51:34Speaker 1: was doing a poll with the voters, right, yes, and
- 51:37Speaker 1: so there was no drama. There was no drama whatsoever.
- 51:41Speaker 10: Right.
- 51:41Speaker 1: And they said, and I can't say, is that blame him?
- 51:44Speaker 1: They're paying for the time, and you know, let's have
- 51:47Speaker 1: it put a little bit you know in there saying wow,
- 51:50Speaker 1: we don't know who's gonna win and which is perfect
- 51:53Speaker 1: this year because it's been pretty wide open right most.
- 51:57Speaker 15: Of the year, saying I think if the deadline had
- 51:59Speaker 15: been Friday, you might have a different winner than the
- 52:02Speaker 15: deadline before.
- 52:04Speaker 1: You may be right. I will say it did not
- 52:07Speaker 1: alter my vote, but but you may be right. So
- 52:11Speaker 1: it'll be interesting. I'll reveal all that after the fact.
- 52:15Speaker 1: And the Walter Camp Award, which I also voted on.
- 52:21Speaker 1: Kurt Signetti became the first coach in the fifty nine
- 52:24Speaker 1: year history of the award to repeat as a back
- 52:27Speaker 1: to back winner. And who he was he awarded over,
- 52:31Speaker 1: he was awarded over. I should know this Lee, No, yes,
- 52:39Speaker 1: Clark Lee and Ryan Day.
- 52:41Speaker 15: Okay, Ryan Day should not have been correct.
- 52:44Speaker 1: I'm not arguing that, but they don't. They don't tell me.
- 52:48Speaker 15: You'll just give you the ones to vote.
- 52:50Speaker 1: They just give me the ones to vote on. Well,
- 52:51Speaker 1: they have.
- 52:52Speaker 15: I think that Signetti deserves it.
- 52:55Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, whatever whatever award you want to give
- 52:58Speaker 1: this guyears ago, Harbaugh did not.
- 53:02Speaker 15: No, he did not win it two years ago when
- 53:03Speaker 15: he was I do not.
- 53:05Speaker 1: I don't believe so. I could be wrong about that,
- 53:08Speaker 1: but I don't think so. He had too much baggage,
- 53:11Speaker 1: and too many people don't like him even without the baggage,
- 53:14Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. I mean, I just they
- 53:15Speaker 1: don't like his personality, they don't like him. But Signetti,
- 53:20Speaker 1: whatever honors you want to give this guy. I'm is
- 53:23Speaker 1: there much.
- 53:24Speaker 15: Difference between Hurley at Yukon and Harbor and Harball? Yeah?
- 53:30Speaker 15: How so, I'm just saying, as the kind of coaches
- 53:33Speaker 15: they are, I mean, Hurley's winning, so he gets you know,
- 53:36Speaker 15: and he's very prickly.
- 53:38Speaker 1: And you know, I would argue, I would argue that
- 53:42Speaker 1: that that Hurley is not nearly as prickly off camera
- 53:47Speaker 1: most of the time as Harball was, and Hurley is
- 53:51Speaker 1: much more prickly end game than Harball was. Right personality wise,
- 53:57Speaker 1: I'm like, if I'm an official and I see I'm
- 54:00Speaker 1: doing Yukon, I'm going, man, i am never walking by
- 54:03Speaker 1: that bitch. I'm gonna be on the opposite side the
- 54:06Speaker 1: whole game, fighting to get I'm not in the eye.
- 54:11Speaker 1: I'm not talking to him, I'm not getting close to him.
- 54:14Speaker 15: Oh, because their brothers have a different Again, last night,
- 54:18Speaker 15: their brothers have a different personnel. They did both of them.
- 54:21Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I.
- 54:22Speaker 15: Mean, that's why when when the Ravens got jobbed on
- 54:26Speaker 15: that touchdown that you know he he says that the
- 54:32Speaker 15: catch rule is clear as mud. I'm all the rules committee.
- 54:36Speaker 15: I don't know what it is anymore. That was a
- 54:38Speaker 15: touchdown and you took it away from it. That carries
- 54:41Speaker 15: a lot more stroke because you're the You're not the
- 54:43Speaker 15: brother that everybody hates. You're the one that they respect.
- 54:47Speaker 15: I don't know if anybody respects Danny Hurley, but I
- 54:50Speaker 15: know they that he's got a different personality than his
- 54:53Speaker 15: brother does. Yeah, but I now when they were playing,
- 54:57Speaker 15: I imagine Dan was I like, you know, the other
- 55:01Speaker 15: way around. Yeah.
- 55:02Speaker 1: Yeah, Well, like I said, I I can't imagine you
- 55:07Speaker 1: don't respect the job that that guy does as a
- 55:10Speaker 1: Do you not respect what Harbor's done?
- 55:12Speaker 17: Oh?
- 55:13Speaker 1: Absolutely, I do. I think Harbaugh's a phenomenal coach. I mean,
- 55:17Speaker 1: he's what more do you want? At every level? He
- 55:21Speaker 1: just won, yesident the only thing he had done. But
- 55:25Speaker 1: give him time. He ain't finished yet. All Right, we're
- 55:27Speaker 1: going to take a break. We will come back, we'll
- 55:30Speaker 1: close out this hour and then we'll move along. Mallory

- 56:31Speaker 1: check it out. You might look online ahead of time
