- 0:00Speaker 1: Boulet cav Show special guest in here. My guy, man,
- 0:02Speaker 1: it's been a while. We got Rich a kid in
- 0:04Speaker 1: the building. Yes, sir Rich, what's up, buddy, big CEO?
- 0:09Speaker 1: And first of all, it's been great to see kind
- 0:11Speaker 1: of like a well, congratulations on the new record deal.
- 0:16Speaker 1: I feel like you've a man you know how to
- 0:20Speaker 1: get a bag from a label, because I've seen you.
- 0:23Speaker 1: You was originally an in the scope and then I
- 0:26Speaker 1: want to say, you went to Sony Columbia was it
- 0:29Speaker 1: was it Republic Republic. Then there was the rostrum thing,
- 0:36Speaker 1: there was a little empire stoping there and now where
- 0:39Speaker 1: you're at RCA. Okay, yeah, it's not you know, I
- 0:43Speaker 1: can get the bag. It's not really much about the
- 0:44Speaker 1: bag for me anymore. You know what I'm saying. It's
- 0:46Speaker 1: like the support system and good team. I was gonna say,
- 0:49Speaker 1: because like that's all happened in a very small amount
- 0:53Speaker 1: of time, so in four years, right, So what is
- 0:57Speaker 1: it about the fit for you that? Because most artists one,
- 1:02Speaker 1: they get stuck in a situation right where they sign
- 1:06Speaker 1: and they owe a certain amount, You've been able to
- 1:08Speaker 1: kind of get in and out of situations pretty easily.
- 1:10Speaker 1: Since leaving Interscope? What what give me the I guess
- 1:14Speaker 1: the business behind that and the thought process, you know,
- 1:18Speaker 1: just having the best support system, you know, just having
- 1:21Speaker 1: the team that's ready to shoot for you. Right? Do
- 1:26Speaker 1: you feel like that like once? Because you know, obviously
- 1:28Speaker 1: being an Interscope you had a lot of success in Interscope,
- 1:31Speaker 1: New Freezer, Plug Tall, I mean plug Walk. We could
- 1:35Speaker 1: go on and on and on going from that and
- 1:39Speaker 1: going through all these different situations. Was it a support
- 1:42Speaker 1: system thing? When I was signing the Interscope, the person
- 1:48Speaker 1: that signed me the Interscope they ended up leaving after
- 1:50Speaker 1: a while, right, So it was like, you know, I
- 1:55Speaker 1: don't even know this guy. That happens a lot, right.
- 1:58Speaker 1: You'll get signed at a place and then the person
- 1:59Speaker 1: who believe than you leaves, and then there's new people
- 2:01Speaker 1: who come in and they're like, well we didn't we
- 2:03Speaker 1: didn't sign you. Yeah, So basically it was like, you know,
- 2:09Speaker 1: just the best support. I just want whatever the biggest
- 2:12Speaker 1: artist in your label gets. I want that same exact treatment.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Of course. So it's crazy because I think back to
- 2:18Speaker 1: the Interscope days and you had I remember when New
- 2:20Speaker 1: Freezer first came out, there was not a lot of
- 2:23Speaker 1: people are getting Kendrick mar features in the world. Not
- 2:26Speaker 1: a lot of people still not a lot of people.
- 2:29Speaker 1: Not a lot of people then, not a lot of people.
- 2:30Speaker 1: Now very rare to get a Kate Out feature especially.
- 2:34Speaker 1: I feel like he really gave you one of them ones.
- 2:37Speaker 1: That's an iconic record. Talk me through that whole era
- 2:41Speaker 1: getting the Kendrick verse, And was there ever a point
- 2:45Speaker 1: in time where you almost were on TD because there
- 2:47Speaker 1: were some rumblings of that. I feel like I did
- 2:51Speaker 1: sign Scope through T so when you initially went to Interscope,
- 2:56Speaker 1: it was through Top Dog. Yeah, So I don't think
- 2:58Speaker 1: a lot of people know that. Yeah. So when I
- 3:01Speaker 1: when I met Kendricks, like I was recording my album
- 3:04Speaker 1: One Room, Kendrick recording his album One Room in sists
- 3:07Speaker 1: the recording the album in the room, so it was
- 3:09Speaker 1: like a record. Everybody was in the same building, so
- 3:13Speaker 1: it was easy to just have him kind of walk
- 3:14Speaker 1: over and hear some shit. No, at the time, I
- 3:17Speaker 1: didn't even know he was recording there. I just came
- 3:19Speaker 1: and did my ship, closed the door, and then one
- 3:22Speaker 1: day they came in there, like, yo, Kendrick wants to
- 3:24Speaker 1: hear like some of New Records, and then I played
- 3:28Speaker 1: him in New Freezer. He's like, yeah, I need that, yeah,
- 3:31Speaker 1: this one. But then I was I was waiting for
- 3:33Speaker 1: the Verse for like a month because he was on
- 3:36Speaker 1: the road and doing shows and shit. So I was like, damn,
- 3:40Speaker 1: I just need I need to Kinjuck was how'd you
- 3:43Speaker 1: feel when you got it? When you heard it for
- 3:44Speaker 1: the first time, you know, like a big accomplishment, you know,
- 3:49Speaker 1: for real, because before that, I never had like a
- 3:52Speaker 1: hit song, right, that was your first like big single. Yeah,
- 3:56Speaker 1: So I got signed pretty much off of So when
- 3:59Speaker 1: I got sign I was signed to three hundred DNT
- 4:03Speaker 1: and I was signed to QC Records, and then like
- 4:07Speaker 1: so I had to like buy my way out. So
- 4:09Speaker 1: I ain't never had no hits, so it's hard to
- 4:12Speaker 1: get a lot of money from my label when you
- 4:14Speaker 1: had no streams. So I had to I had to
- 4:16Speaker 1: pay QC five hundred thousand, and I had to give
- 4:19Speaker 1: three hundred three hundred thousand, plus I had to get
- 4:21Speaker 1: paid myself. So you can imagine I had a big
- 4:24Speaker 1: deal signing my first deal. So you get to deal
- 4:27Speaker 1: for minuscope and out of that money you had to
- 4:29Speaker 1: pay off QC and three D three hundred and I
- 4:32Speaker 1: had to get paid and you had to still take
- 4:34Speaker 1: some money home for yourself. Yeah, because at the time
- 4:37Speaker 1: I was signing with QC and I asked p to like,
- 4:41Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, do my thing, and he's like,
- 4:44Speaker 1: I need five hundred thousand, And at the time, I
- 4:46Speaker 1: didn't have five thousand dollars, you know, let alone five hundred.
- 4:50Speaker 1: So I went to my phone and I called everybody
- 4:54Speaker 1: from every label, every level that I had on my phone, right,
- 4:58Speaker 1: you know, and thank god, I found one person, Mannie Smith,
- 5:03Speaker 1: and shot the many. He's like, yo, come to the office,
- 5:06Speaker 1: you know, and then it's history. God God did the
- 5:10Speaker 1: rest shout out to they'll let you buy yourself out
- 5:14Speaker 1: at least, and they, you know, they believed it in
- 5:17Speaker 1: me when I first jumped up the gate. You know
- 5:19Speaker 1: what I'm saying. For sure, I mean a lot of
- 5:20Speaker 1: people kind of would equit you to be like the
- 5:22Speaker 1: fourth unofficial Media early on in your career, because you
- 5:25Speaker 1: were on so many of those early records, you know,
- 5:27Speaker 1: like me and Amigo were dropping a lot of tapes
- 5:30Speaker 1: and ship before they signed to QC too. So it's
- 5:32Speaker 1: just like we just hustling and working, trying to get
- 5:36Speaker 1: our music herd you feeling how close were you from
- 5:39Speaker 1: like actually joining the group though never never happened. Talk
- 5:43Speaker 1: about losing someone like Takeoff Man. Takeoff was obviously a
- 5:47Speaker 1: great guy. He was one of the nicest dudes you
- 5:49Speaker 1: ever meet in the music game. I mean you've known
- 5:51Speaker 1: him for a long time. That had to be a
- 5:52Speaker 1: big loss for you. Yeah, you know, it's my brother,
- 5:56Speaker 1: like my best friend, like my twin, you know, everything.
- 5:59Speaker 1: So it really fucked me. I really never lost nobody
- 6:03Speaker 1: like that close. So it's just like it fuck me.
- 6:07Speaker 1: It's just like you know, you might just wake up
- 6:09Speaker 1: and stuff crying and see a picture stuck around here
- 6:12Speaker 1: saw and especially him like he was such a just
- 6:16Speaker 1: it felt like a very peaceful, genuine person. Yeah, super
- 6:19Speaker 1: nice guy. Every time I met him he seemed like
- 6:21Speaker 1: you know he was and also like really one of
- 6:24Speaker 1: the most iconic bit influential rappers ever. If we think
- 6:28Speaker 1: about his flow, and just like when I think of
- 6:31Speaker 1: the Migos flow, I think I think a takeofre Yeah,
- 6:35Speaker 1: it's crazy man, like for you, like, was was that
- 6:40Speaker 1: like a wake up call to kind of like you know,
- 6:42Speaker 1: because you never know when you're gonna lose somebody these days,
- 6:45Speaker 1: especially in the music game, you know what I mean,
- 6:48Speaker 1: Like I don't know if it's a wake up call,
- 6:50Speaker 1: but it's like, you know, it's just crazy, bro, Like
- 6:54Speaker 1: it's just fucking me up, you know, like you don't
- 6:58Speaker 1: know how to respond to something you don't like, you
- 7:01Speaker 1: don't know, I don't know. Does it make you move
- 7:03Speaker 1: a little bit differently in terms of how you're moving around?
- 7:06Speaker 1: And you've had situations where you've had some serious ship
- 7:09Speaker 1: that could have went left, we could have lost you,
- 7:10Speaker 1: you know what I mean that we all know about,
- 7:12Speaker 1: you know, but it's when something like that happens, do
- 7:15Speaker 1: you kind of like reassess how you're moving, who's around,
- 7:18Speaker 1: what you're into. Me, Like, I don't be with people,
- 7:21Speaker 1: just be by myself, my mother, I won't even know
- 7:24Speaker 1: where I'm at. I'm not with nobody, right, you know.
- 7:27Speaker 1: It's like it's always it's always dangerous doing anything in
- 7:32Speaker 1: the rapper, being a rapper for sure, whatever, especially you
- 7:37Speaker 1: moving around all that jewelry. Can you take me back?
- 7:41Speaker 1: Do you remember when you first met take Off and Amigos,
- 7:44Speaker 1: Because you guys literally came into the game together, you
- 7:47Speaker 1: will forever be synonymous with each other's careers. Yeah. I
- 7:52Speaker 1: think it was amount of time I had. I did
- 7:56Speaker 1: a song with cash Out from Atlanta, and then I
- 8:01Speaker 1: was on the way to a show, not from I
- 8:04Speaker 1: ain't really had no shows, but I was on the
- 8:07Speaker 1: way to somebody else's show to go watch a performance,
- 8:10Speaker 1: and they were like the whole club ride, I mean
- 8:13Speaker 1: the whole car ride one of my homies pee Wee.
- 8:15Speaker 1: He was playing nothing but the Migos tape and I
- 8:20Speaker 1: was like, Yo, the fuck cool? Who is like the
- 8:22Speaker 1: niggas is walking, it's going crazy. He like the Migos
- 8:28Speaker 1: there from the North Side or whatever, like I'll get
- 8:31Speaker 1: you up with them whatever. I was like cool, whatever.
- 8:33Speaker 1: So the next day I had I had took the
- 8:37Speaker 1: CD from him. So the next day there's like a
- 8:39Speaker 1: the phone number on the end of the CD. It's
- 8:41Speaker 1: like DJ ray G. Who was there? DJ time? I
- 8:44Speaker 1: called him like, yo, rage, I knew a G. I'm like, yo,
- 8:47Speaker 1: you fuck with the Migos. I'm trying to get up
- 8:49Speaker 1: with them niggas. The Niggas is hard. He's like, hell yeah,
- 8:51Speaker 1: we're gonna get in the studio whatever. I was like
- 8:54Speaker 1: back so that same night it was like a it's
- 8:58Speaker 1: like a club in Atlanta that was popping. It's called Mansion.
- 9:01Speaker 1: Of course I went to that club. And then randomly
- 9:04Speaker 1: I've seen ray Gi outside the front of club with
- 9:07Speaker 1: the migos and he's like, Yo, this is the mego
- 9:09Speaker 1: I'm telling you about. You know what I'm saying. We're
- 9:11Speaker 1: gonna link up. And then we connected that night, and
- 9:14Speaker 1: then like two days later I went over to Akuaos
- 9:18Speaker 1: and we just a history locked in pretty much. That's it.
- 9:23Speaker 1: That's crazy, man. Hey, we got to stop the interview
- 9:25Speaker 1: real quick to tell you about our family at my bookie.
- 9:27Speaker 1: That's right, man, Look, March Madness is coming. My favorite
- 9:30Speaker 1: time of the year to gamble is on the tournament.
- 9:32Speaker 1: It's so much fun. You just kind of close your
- 9:34Speaker 1: eyes to and you know, win money. All right, Look,
- 9:38Speaker 1: if you want to try to get down, go to

- 10:11Speaker 1: to do that, So if you lose your money, don't

- 11:27Speaker 1: Las Vegas on Instagram right now, and go shoot them
- 11:29Speaker 1: a follow. Let's get back to the interview. It's been
- 11:32Speaker 1: dope to see the resurgence of Rich forever in terms
- 11:36Speaker 1: of you know, it's good to see Decks doing well. Yeah,
- 11:41Speaker 1: you know, he has some low times that we all
- 11:42Speaker 1: are aware of. And obviously j Crich has been eating
- 11:46Speaker 1: for a long time for sure. Yeah, we've been working
- 11:49Speaker 1: on a ridge trave of five. Well, it's like pretty
- 11:52Speaker 1: much done now, you know, and j Cris just put
- 11:55Speaker 1: on his JO season projects. So it's just like we've
- 11:59Speaker 1: been to it, you know what I'm saying. For you,
- 12:01Speaker 1: like being a CEO, being kind of the leader of
- 12:04Speaker 1: the crew, what what were some of the things that
- 12:07Speaker 1: you kind of had to you know, because I feel
- 12:09Speaker 1: like we saw Decks kind of struggle with his sobriety,
- 12:15Speaker 1: you know, staying in the right right state of mind,
- 12:17Speaker 1: and it seems like he's doing really well now for you,
- 12:20Speaker 1: was that something that was like hard to deal with,
- 12:24Speaker 1: like because you know sometimes when I've had a lot
- 12:26Speaker 1: of people in my life that have dealt with addiction,
- 12:29Speaker 1: you know what I mean, I know that that it's
- 12:30Speaker 1: it's it's a heartbreaking day to go through. Sure, yeah,
- 12:32Speaker 1: it's definitely frustrating, you know, like watching somebody like go
- 12:37Speaker 1: through rehab and then go back to it and then like,
- 12:41Speaker 1: you know, it's just frustrating. But you it's like my brother,
- 12:45Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. It's like I understand it's
- 12:47Speaker 1: my artist, but just like my real family, and I'll
- 12:50Speaker 1: be fucked up if anything happened to him. So it's
- 12:52Speaker 1: like I gotta put that first. That friendship you get
- 12:55Speaker 1: to put the human part first before the artist ship
- 12:57Speaker 1: for bro, like that was the most important part to me. Yeah.
- 13:02Speaker 1: How far along is Rich Forever five? Is it done?
- 13:05Speaker 1: Or is it it's pretty much done? Yeah? We had
- 13:08Speaker 1: like like two weeks in the studio just locked in.
- 13:13Speaker 1: Is it just you three? Because I know you have three? Okay,
- 13:16Speaker 1: you know the fans been just one in the project
- 13:18Speaker 1: for us three. So I'm about to see what label
- 13:24Speaker 1: I'm gonna put it out through. Do you feel like
- 13:27Speaker 1: you get enough credit for being the CEO that you are, man?
- 13:31Speaker 1: Because I do feel like if we kind of rewind
- 13:34Speaker 1: time in twenty eighteen, twenty nineteen, like one of the
- 13:37Speaker 1: first Yeah. Well, I just mean in terms of, like
- 13:39Speaker 1: you know, I do feel like Rich Forever is a movement.
- 13:41Speaker 1: I feel like you guys got fucking plaques. You guys
- 13:43Speaker 1: got numbers on the board, you know what I mean?
- 13:45Speaker 1: And I feel like sometimes maybe people don't necessarily give
- 13:49Speaker 1: you that credit. M Yeah, man, you know that's how
- 13:54Speaker 1: it be. A lot of motherfuckers don't get credit for
- 13:56Speaker 1: a lot of shit. True, you know, so I'd be like,
- 14:01Speaker 1: work harder, Nobody cares work harder, you know what I'm saying?
- 14:04Speaker 1: That's why I'm signing more artists. I'm dropping most ship.
- 14:07Speaker 1: We got five Deck Guy his project coming out. I
- 14:10Speaker 1: got my album coming out. You know what I'm saying,
- 14:13Speaker 1: So gotta go harder. Man. Do you feel like you've
- 14:17Speaker 1: also grown a lot in the last few years, because
- 14:19Speaker 1: I feel like he was matured a lot. I feel
- 14:20Speaker 1: like I see you moving a little differently, you know
- 14:22Speaker 1: what I mean. I feel like it kind of in
- 14:25Speaker 1: terms of just everybody kind of grows. If you stand
- 14:27Speaker 1: the same, you're fucking up, you know what I mean.
- 14:29Speaker 1: Learn a lot, You learn a lot. You know, you
- 14:33Speaker 1: hit with life for sure, because I see like obviously
- 14:37Speaker 1: you and you and Young Boy had a great project together,
- 14:41Speaker 1: did you. I'm sure you saw the interview he just
- 14:43Speaker 1: did where he kind of showed a lot of remorse
- 14:45Speaker 1: for some of the energy he put out into the world.
- 14:48Speaker 1: Great interview. Great interview. I was gonna say, like, do
- 14:51Speaker 1: you see that side of him being someone who's like,
- 14:53Speaker 1: you know, that close with him, because we don't know
- 14:55Speaker 1: Young Boy like he's kind of a recluse, you know,
- 14:57Speaker 1: even before he got locked up. I feel like, like,
- 15:00Speaker 1: you know, I feel like I feel like, yeah, people
- 15:03Speaker 1: don't people don't see a lot of size him. But
- 15:06Speaker 1: you know that now he's done to open up more
- 15:08Speaker 1: for people. So so that's dope, you know. And he's
- 15:11Speaker 1: Mormon now he joined the church. I think he's joining
- 15:17Speaker 1: the Latter day Saints Church. Yes, he lives in Utah. Look,
- 15:21Speaker 1: you can't live in Utah too long and I end
- 15:22Speaker 1: up being a Mormon, respectfully. That gets you out there.
- 15:25Speaker 1: I don't know much about. It's a solid religion. It's yeah,
- 15:30Speaker 1: it is what it is. So what about your solo album?
- 15:32Speaker 1: Obviously got a single out, but what is the album
- 15:37Speaker 1: that's coming up? You have been working on it for
- 15:40Speaker 1: like two years, so I ain't put out her sold album.
- 15:44Speaker 1: My last album was me and Little Wayne Projects, so
- 15:46Speaker 1: Jesus I forgot about that. Yeah, so I ain't put
- 15:50Speaker 1: out no album since then. So damn I'm loaded. I'm
- 15:56Speaker 1: pretty much loaded right now. Explain to me the Little
- 15:59Speaker 1: Wayne project because that is not uh. I mean, you
- 16:03Speaker 1: obviously got your group ship with with with the guys,
- 16:05Speaker 1: but then you got a Young Boy album and then
- 16:07Speaker 1: a Little Wayne album. Like how does the Wayne thing happen? Like?
- 16:12Speaker 1: Is it just you guys get in and you guys
- 16:14Speaker 1: just are like Yo, this is crazy. Our chemistry is
- 16:17Speaker 1: so good. We should do something full or how does
- 16:18Speaker 1: it work? I think I just you know, build a
- 16:23Speaker 1: relationship with Tunes a little while and saying we're good friends.
- 16:26Speaker 1: We chop it. I talked to him like every week.
- 16:29Speaker 1: Damn there you feel me. So it's like, you know,
- 16:32Speaker 1: we just that's just like big bro to me, you
- 16:34Speaker 1: know what I'm saying. So one day he just hit
- 16:35Speaker 1: me like, let's put the project together there, right? I
- 16:38Speaker 1: was like, fuck you, Well, yeah, I can't wait. Yeah,
- 16:41Speaker 1: of course, whatever you want to do, let's do it.
- 16:43Speaker 1: So you know, I might send him a record, he
- 16:45Speaker 1: send it back in like thirty minutes. So it's pretty
- 16:50Speaker 1: much like when we were recording to the project. I
- 16:52Speaker 1: might do a song and be like, oh yeah, Wayne,
- 16:53Speaker 1: be hard on this, send it over. He'll send it
- 16:56Speaker 1: back to me, and then he'll send me one and
- 16:58Speaker 1: then like back and forth type shit. I was gonna say, like,
- 17:01Speaker 1: what's the difference between doing an album with him and
- 17:04Speaker 1: doing an album with Young Boy? Is there a difference
- 17:06Speaker 1: their creative processes or shit? Like doing the album with
- 17:14Speaker 1: Young Boy, I'd be over at his house for like
- 17:18Speaker 1: two weeks, would just be chilling, you know what I'm saying,
- 17:20Speaker 1: So you guys would be actually like fully locked in,
- 17:23Speaker 1: locked in and not leave right saying so to an album, Wayne,
- 17:27Speaker 1: I might come to the studio a couple of days
- 17:29Speaker 1: or you know what I'm saying, shoot him some stuff
- 17:31Speaker 1: to the email, get it back, especially doing doing an
- 17:34Speaker 1: album with Young Boy. He was on house arrest. He
- 17:35Speaker 1: had just got out of jail, and I went to
- 17:38Speaker 1: his crib when we just not at the album. Was
- 17:40Speaker 1: this when he was in Was this one in Utah? No? No,
- 17:43Speaker 1: he was in bars. Okay, Okay, Yeah, Yeah, that's crazy
- 17:48Speaker 1: that I didn't even I forgot all about the Wayne album.
- 17:51Speaker 1: It's a big deal, man. Not a lot of people
- 17:52Speaker 1: have little Wayne albums. I don't know besides Birdman father
- 17:57Speaker 1: like Son, what is another little Wayne to collab album.
- 17:59Speaker 1: I don't think there is one, Like there's the Young
- 18:02Speaker 1: Money album. I think it's like just you and Birdman
- 18:06Speaker 1: have one of those. No, I think I think it's
- 18:07Speaker 1: only Joel Sintenna. But that wasn't that never came out officially,
- 18:11Speaker 1: that leaked. I can't feel my face. Great fucking great ship. Yeah,
- 18:15Speaker 1: shout out to dipset, Who's Who's on this album for
- 18:18Speaker 1: you working on it for two years, I'm sure you
- 18:20Speaker 1: got some hitters in. Yeah. I got a lot of
- 18:25Speaker 1: a lot of people on the album. Little t J
- 18:29Speaker 1: Album TJ. I got a song on him coming out
- 18:32Speaker 1: Friday Rema a rambles amazing ramble Gramma. Oh, I don't
- 18:38Speaker 1: know remember I think you said ramble from here in
- 18:40Speaker 1: l a Rema. Okay, I'm not hip, Ario Star, not hip.
- 18:46Speaker 1: What you want, man? I feel like you are very
- 18:48Speaker 1: ahead of the curve always for sure? Who else looking?
- 18:57Speaker 1: I really got a look at my list. That's a
- 18:59Speaker 1: really be recorded only. So when's the album come out? U?
- 19:04Speaker 1: This summer? So soon? Little TJ? Summertime? What's the name
- 19:14Speaker 1: of the album? Travis Barker on the album, playing drums,
- 19:21Speaker 1: I'm assuming five yoh, J Crich, Jesus, Meek, Miles, J Balvin,
- 19:27Speaker 1: Pop Smoke, Polo g the Pop Smoke Verse, Friday, g
- 19:34Speaker 1: Herro Friday Jesus sounds like a DJ Khaled album. Jesus.
- 19:42Speaker 1: That's and I got a couple of girls on the
- 19:45Speaker 1: album too, But you know I can't give up everything.
- 19:47Speaker 1: Gee Herbal Meek Pop Smoke. How old is the Pop
- 19:51Speaker 1: Smoke record? Was it when he was a library. So
- 19:54Speaker 1: you guys did linked up and me pop smoking Polo
- 19:57Speaker 1: G was in the studio all theorist. What was that on?
- 20:01Speaker 1: He was a light man, he was a man. Is
- 20:05Speaker 1: it harder to get something like that cleared when like,
- 20:07Speaker 1: obviously you got to clear it through the estate or
- 20:09Speaker 1: through his label because obviously he's not here anymore, you know,
- 20:12Speaker 1: And I'm sure you're not the only one who's got
- 20:13Speaker 1: old pop smoke songs before he passed. You know, it
- 20:16Speaker 1: was a process probably, Yeah. Yeah, how's the record though?
- 20:19Speaker 1: Is it crazy? You you pop smoke Polo G? Oh shit?
- 20:25Speaker 1: Oh yeah, this song is gonna be craaz. Is it
- 20:27Speaker 1: just you and Meek Mill on the Meek record? Is it?
- 20:30Speaker 1: You know that dude Friday's voice is insane? Friday with
- 20:34Speaker 1: him to his voice. I saw him record that God
- 20:37Speaker 1: did Ship on his computer. Did you see that video?
- 20:40Speaker 1: That ship was crazy? His voice is like that ship
- 20:43Speaker 1: is wild? Damn. So you got he did a record
- 20:46Speaker 1: with us on the Rich Forever product too. She had
- 20:48Speaker 1: a couple of Friday joining something to Damn. You got
- 20:51Speaker 1: some features. Shout out to g Herbo too. I can't

- 24:03Speaker 1: well what's coming first? Your album or Rich Forever five?
- 24:08Speaker 1: Hopefully there's five times drop that is that? Yeah, that'd
- 24:13Speaker 1: be soon. Yeah. So I don't know where from, like
- 24:16Speaker 1: like Homewise, Yeah, yeah, you know, figuring it out. You know,
- 24:21Speaker 1: it's a new independent major, it's a new podcast. Still
- 24:28Speaker 1: sitting with it right now. I mean, Jach, is that Empire? Yeah?
- 24:31Speaker 1: Maybe do the Empire thing? Yeah yeah, funck with Empire
- 24:34Speaker 1: heavy Yeah. I gotta let me ask you this, Rich, because,
- 24:38Speaker 1: as somebody who has seen every kind of side of
- 24:42Speaker 1: the music industry, there's just like a conversation out there
- 24:47Speaker 1: nowadays that being independent is better than being on a major.
- 24:54Speaker 1: I wouldn't say that. I wouldn't say I say you've
- 24:56Speaker 1: seen it all, it's being better. I would say independent,
- 25:00Speaker 1: It depends on what you care about, really, you feel
- 25:02Speaker 1: I'm saying like, if you care about just getting the money,
- 25:06Speaker 1: or you care about just having the dreams, because you know,
- 25:10Speaker 1: you got to think about it. You gotta have a
- 25:13Speaker 1: machine to run this shit, right, and being independent in school,
- 25:18Speaker 1: it just takes a lot of work, a lot more work, right,
- 25:22Speaker 1: a lot more of your own money. Yeah. So if
- 25:24Speaker 1: maybe not in a position financially to do certain things,
- 25:28Speaker 1: you could use the label's money. Yeah. But it's not
- 25:32Speaker 1: only money, it's relationships too, you know what I'm saying.
- 25:34Speaker 1: These LA labels have been building relationships for twenty thirty years.
- 25:39Speaker 1: It's not like anybody can just get a wrap caviar
- 25:42Speaker 1: for sure, dead ass, dead ass for real. Yeah, And
- 25:46Speaker 1: if you're independent, it's probably gonna be a lot harder
- 25:49Speaker 1: to get a carrier. Then it's a bigger uphill battle
- 25:51Speaker 1: to do everything for sure. Yeah, for sure. And then
- 25:54Speaker 1: I saw like there's like, because Okay, I'm assuming every
- 25:57Speaker 1: one of these deals you've had since you left the
- 26:00Speaker 1: innerscope you get an advance, right. I think that there
- 26:04Speaker 1: is a narrative out there that isn't all the way
- 26:08Speaker 1: accurate that if you get an advance, it has to
- 26:11Speaker 1: be recouped before you could leave. That's not the case, right,
- 26:15Speaker 1: everybody's deal is different. Okay, now my deal is not
- 26:18Speaker 1: structured the same as these artists these days. You feel
- 26:21Speaker 1: because a lot of times I think you can. I mean,
- 26:23Speaker 1: I like you said, if you have the right structuring,
- 26:25Speaker 1: you should be able to get the label giving you
- 26:28Speaker 1: that advance is a gamble on their side. It's not
- 26:31Speaker 1: like you have this like shit hanging over your personal credit.
- 26:34Speaker 1: I've been seeing all these like misleading videos about people
- 26:36Speaker 1: saying like an advance is the worst loan you can
- 26:38Speaker 1: ever take out. Well, it's not really alone because it's
- 26:41Speaker 1: not on your personal credit. Like if you pay it
- 26:44Speaker 1: back cool, if your music recoups, cool, But it's also
- 26:48Speaker 1: rit I've never been like this type of artist. There
- 26:52Speaker 1: wasn't able to recoop, you feel what I'm saying. So
- 26:56Speaker 1: I never really had You're recouped everywhere. I never really
- 27:00Speaker 1: had the tough problem where if you're making hits, then
- 27:05Speaker 1: you publish it. You really well, I was gonna say,
- 27:07Speaker 1: when you see someone like QC and UH and those
- 27:10Speaker 1: guys sell for three hundred million dollars, that was fire
- 27:14Speaker 1: huge considering you were there when it first was started up, Like, uh,
- 27:18Speaker 1: that's amazing, bro. What do you think is going on
- 27:22Speaker 1: where everyone seems to be selling right now? QC sold,
- 27:26Speaker 1: everyone's selling their publishing. Well so I seeing everyone in there,
- 27:30Speaker 1: I mean sold. Oh yeah, selling and publishing. That's like
- 27:36Speaker 1: a common thing. Like niggas do this all the time
- 27:40Speaker 1: when they first get their first hit and they might
- 27:42Speaker 1: sign the publishing. But it just like people are selling
- 27:44Speaker 1: their satellg catalog. Yeah, they selling their catalog. Justice Pe sold.
- 27:49Speaker 1: I think I think he had a million. You know
- 27:51Speaker 1: that's smart for some people, Like after you've been in
- 27:54Speaker 1: the game for a long time, like you've ate off
- 27:55Speaker 1: of it for all these years already, You've been in
- 27:58Speaker 1: the game for a long enough time. It's it might
- 28:01Speaker 1: be smart to sell a catalog. But you just coming
- 28:03Speaker 1: in and you thank you for the damn tell the catalog.
- 28:06Speaker 1: Some folks ain't gonna give you nothing. Would you sell
- 28:09Speaker 1: your catalog? I'm chilling right now, you're chilling. I'm chilling
- 28:13Speaker 1: right now. I got a whole of my mother drop. Yeah,
- 28:15Speaker 1: I'm saying my structure with my label and stuff like that.
- 28:19Speaker 1: I'm just good. You know what, I'm saying, it's like
- 28:21Speaker 1: I'm not in the bullshit. So that's what's up man.
- 28:24Speaker 1: A new album hopefully soon, Rich forever five much sooner. Yeah,
- 28:28Speaker 1: shout out to Jake crich Any any what's going on
- 28:30Speaker 1: with the with the Deck's House House. He's doing good man,
- 28:33Speaker 1: He's on tour right now and he got a new
- 28:36Speaker 1: single coming out too. So yeah, we're fucking with three
- 28:40Speaker 1: hundred of course. Shout out to three hundred man, Shout
- 28:42Speaker 1: out to my guy, Happy birthday. And I got Shadow
- 28:44Speaker 1: over there. Just shut the shadow, Shadow of the legend man.
- 28:46Speaker 1: Well Rich the kid. I appreciate you pulling up. Brother,
- 28:48Speaker 1: you already know a new album on the way. Smokes
- 28:51Speaker 1: some of this ship, yes, sir,
