- 0:04In this political coliseum, we slay the rising beast with the fateful sword of truth that transcends hypocrisy and censorship.
- 0:16It's time to unlease yourself from the tyrants of media propaganda on the America Out Loud Talk Radio Network.
- 0:26This is unleashed the political news hour.
- 0:32Welcome to Unleashed, the Political News Hour.
- 0:36I'm your host, Gold Star Mother Susan Price, and this is America Out Loud.
- 0:42In the spiritual battle of good versus evil, we find our life's purpose and mission after experiencing tower moments and life's waiting rooms.
- 0:53We are redefined there, like a diamond in the rough to become the people God created us to be for this very moment in time.
- 1:05This July 4th, 2026, America will celebrate her 250th birthday.
- 1:13And President Trump has been working around the clock to ensure that all legal Americans will experience their unlived dreams and experience sovereign significance in every aspect of their life to pass on to future generations.
- 1:35Although many of you may not be involved with politics, be sure that politics is involved with every aspect of your life.
- 1:45Throughout the decades, patriots have taken notice and documented the unfolding of hidden agendas by those rogue forces serving in every aspect and arena of our government.
- 2:04America is the greatest nation on earth.
- 2:07Yet she's been raped and pillaged by the obtuse left who worked with foreign adversaries to give our nation away.
- 2:17This is exactly why America needs ordinary men and women to participate in honor and taking a stand, making a difference in the most extraordinary ways, because they love America and want to give back.
- 2:34Entering into this faded arena of New York politics is Santos Lopez.
- 2:41He is a U.S.
- 2:42Navy veteran, public affairs leader, chief marketing officer, and community advocate.
- 2:50As a patriotic Filipino American who loves the Hudson River Valley in America, Santos is running for the New York Assembly in the 103rd district.
- 3:04He reminds us that as an immigrant from the Philippines, he has worked very hard for every opportunity earned.
- 3:13On a side note, Santos Lopez's grandfather signed the 1935 Philippine Constitution.
- 3:23Welcome, my New York friend, Santos Lopez.
- 3:28Welcome.
- 3:28Thank you, Susan.
- 3:29Thank you for the great introduction.
- 3:31And uh I'm glad to talk to you again because it's been a while since I ran into you.
- 3:35It's been uh a couple of years, and and it's been it was fun the last time we met.
- 3:40Yeah, probably three or four years ago.
- 3:44Yeah.
- 3:44Uh when I was up in Rip Van Winkleville, and I and I have to tell the audience, um, I was a speaker at an event, and I was just so privileged to spend about three days with the most amazing veterans, and where we got to share our story in front of hundreds of people, and also we walked around the historical uh avenues and streets that President George Washington and to be uh walk into the buildings that are some are um restaurants or historical sites, and that reminds me, um Santos with you running for the 103rd district of state assembly, you'll not only be representing the people and the issues, but preserving that history, that wonderful part of history that you're so privileged to live in, and that's a beautiful part of New York.
- 4:48But let's um start out with I want you to tell a little bit about your background, because if I had lived in New York, I'd be voting for you.
- 4:59Oh, I I have been in the Hudson Valley region here for most of my life.
- 5:03I grew I I graduated high school in Brewster, and I started living up here shortly after I got it in out of the U.S.
- 5:10Navy, and my dad lived in Fishkill and I loved the Hudson Valley.
- 5:14Um for over 20 something, 30 something years now.
- 5:18I graduated 86, so I've been here for a long time.
- 5:22Um, I lived in Fishgill, now I live in Sogardies, I lived in Poughkeepsie, all over up and down the Hudson Valley, and there's so much history here.
- 5:30Um, that started America, and that's what why I'm running is it's been going in the wrong direction.
- 5:37Um I don't it doesn't feel like the America that I I wanted to protect and serve when I first joined the military.
- 5:44They forgot a lot of the politics around here, they you know, it's not partisan, it's not Democrats, Republicans.
- 5:52Um, at the end of the day, like when I served in the military, you know, we serve not as Democrats or Blubbers, we serve as Americans.
- 5:59And the one side keeps trying to divide us and and try to divide us in really crazy ways.
- 6:09You know, when we served in the military, we're not Democrats, Republicans, we're Americans at the end of the day, and we do what's common good for America as a whole, and that's why I'm stepping into the political race because it's going in the wrong direction, especially in New York.
- 6:23They're overtaxing you, energy mandates that are driving your bills up that you can't even afford.
- 6:29You know, we have one of the most top resources, natural resources in the country, and they don't want to tap into our natural gas, hydroelectric, um, and try to go to this green new garbage deal, and and everybody's bills are going up, and you can't even afford to live here anymore.
- 6:46Um, my kids, my grandkids, they can't, you know, they're not going to be able to live here anymore.
- 6:50I could barely afford to live here.
- 6:53There's a lot of people that have been around for decades that are now their 80s, 90s that grew up and just can't even afford to live here because they're now on social security and and and can't afford to live in your own area.
- 7:04This is home for me, and it's time to put up for a fight and in the political fight first to stop the craziness.
- 7:12Um, when there's nothing wrong with America first, there's nothing wrong with citizens first, and as a Filipino American, you know, we come from the Philippines, and we looked at it as as America as as a as a as a as a bond that we can never stop.
- 7:31Like if you look at history, the Bataan Death March, Batan, Corregidor, fighting in World War II.
- 7:36Um those bonds will never be, you know, dissolved.
- 7:41We work together as a whole.
- 7:43And if you and there's a difference between legal immigration and illegal immigration, and Filipinos understand that as well.
- 7:50We love the America just like we love the Philippines.
- 7:53And there's nothing wrong with bringing some of your culture here, but also assimilating to the culture of America, you know.
- 8:00Uh, that's what we do.
- 8:02Like even the Philippines, they have a Senate, they have a Congress, they have a president.
- 8:05They base your government based on the United States.
- 8:08Yes, they have a constitution, which there's nothing wrong with with that.
- 8:16And you bring the best over here.
- 8:17Look how many, you know.
- 8:19If you look at the Filipino community as a whole, there are many Filipinos that give to the to the American to uh to America, you know, you don't see us overly abundant on Snap or trying to look out handouts.
- 8:33Um, you know, a lot of us are lawyers, doctors, um, professionals, nurses that are coming from the Philippines, a lot of professionals.
- 8:40And I hate to say it, if if if you're very not well off or financially set, most of them stay in the Philippines because it's a great life living on the beach.
- 8:48I you know, uh part of me is like, hey, um, it's not looking too bad over there.
- 8:54You want to come, Susan?
- 8:55Uh yeah, can I come and visit?
- 8:58Let's go.
- 8:59Let's go hang out with the dolphins, you know.
- 9:02Um, that's why I love this area.
- 9:04Like if I think of the Hudson Valley, you know, West Point, Douglas MacArthur graduated from there.
- 9:09Uh, you know, I shall return.
- 9:11That was brought up to us in when we were growing up as kids.
- 9:14Yeah, you know.
- 9:16And now, as a Filipino American, it's like I'm seeing it go wrong the wrong direction.
- 9:20It's time for me to give back to the country.
- 9:22That's that that gave both my countries um a chance.
- 9:26So it's it's just the right thing to do, and that's how I really feel.
- 9:30Sometimes you have a calling.
- 9:31I'm not doing it for the votes, I'm doing it for the right reasons because something's telling me to run, and we have to fix it.
- 9:36And you you were right about earlier.
- 9:38It's about good versus evil.
- 9:40Yeah, definitely.
- 9:42This is the spiritual battle that we've we all, whether you're involved with politics or not, like I said, uh, politics is involved at every level of your lifestyle, regardless if you're at the grocery store, the doctors, you know, the pet store.
- 10:01There's regulatory commissions that are involved there.
- 10:05And that's what I love about President Trump because he's been really hard at it from day one, constant, nonstop, you know, dueling with the dragons over there.
- 10:21And from the beginning, uh, I was on his team when he was running for Governor of New York with Assembly Medicare, Assembly Minnow Jay.
- 10:29Um, and the you know, that was with that team that you know that they were talking to Donald about running for president.
- 10:35So I've seen from from a conversation in the parking lot and seen the abuse that this man is taking.
- 10:42And they're just relentless, and he's just trying to do the right thing.
- 10:46God bless him.
- 10:47He's always come to the rescue, especially after 9-11, and not even that.
- 10:53He's always been involved in the Big Apple, you know.
- 10:57But you know, it's just it's I've watched the Big Apple grow parasites, starting with Romo Brothers and Kathy Hokel, who I have met and sat down with twice over the past well, the first 16 years ago after my son's death, and I had met with her because she was the Congresswoman in the very town that my family that I raised my children in, and I got with her to try to get on C-SPAN.
- 11:31Well, she did get me in with the um generals at the Pentagon for a meeting, but that took six months, and they were trying to tell me, Oh, you could come.
- 11:43And I said, Well, I'm bringing the gold star families with me.
- 11:47Well, you can ask 10 questions.
- 11:50I said, No way, unless you can resurrect my son from the other side of the veil.
- 11:56You're gonna take all of our questions.
- 11:58And we had at least 40.
- 12:00We were there two and a half hours.
- 12:02I said, You will listen to us.
- 12:04We're we're the less than one percent, Santos of the America who gives the 99% of Americans a voice.
- 12:17Less than one percent of Americans serve in our armed forces in uniform.
- 12:23Currently, it's 0.45% are currently serving.
- 12:27Oh, really?
- 12:28That's the current number right now, is 0.45%.
- 12:31And that's not a lot of people at all.
- 12:33No, it's not.
- 12:34Well, President Trump has turned that around too.
- 12:38Get rid of the high heels and the dress wearing men.
- 12:42Let men be men.
- 12:44Okay.
- 12:45Men, you want to do that?
- 12:47Stay out of the military.
- 12:49You're not a woman.
- 12:50You'll never be.
- 12:51You'll never give birth and never breastfeed a child.
- 12:56I am also a pro advocate of women and women's sports.
- 13:01No, man.
- 13:01If you if you noticed on some of my posts, I've I've we we made the Orange County Choppers Riley Gaines Mike when I first read Riley.
- 13:08And um, we made that for her, and we presented to her at the RNC the year before last at the RNC when when uh when Donald picked uh JD as his vice president, we unveiled that motorcycle at the RNC.
- 13:22I remember when we did that.
- 13:24That was actually pretty cool.
- 13:25And I you know, I don't care who you have a relationship, but you know what?
- 13:28With having a having a daughter's in sports in high school and college, women's sports are for women.
- 13:34I don't care who you have a relationship with.
- 13:36If if you're a dude, you know, do you have any or an outie?
- 13:39If you have an Audi, you are not supposed to be in women's sports.
- 13:42You know, that's just that's just it.
- 13:45And you're a girl dad, so you're protecting totally big Papa Papa Bear dad, protecting, yeah.
- 13:53Totally.
- 13:54I love it.
- 13:55So I get out there, you'll be safe because Santos will take care of you, that's for sure.
- 14:02Oh, yeah.
- 14:02And and and then we even, you know, I bump into Riley in different places.
- 14:06We check into each other, like we were at the um uh we we I bumped into her um with with with uh Papa Bear, actually from from Born to Ride with 45.
- 14:17We went to Charlie Kirk's memorial service in Phoenix, and we we were going through the security lines, and all of a sudden there was Riley, and we got to see her.
- 14:25And what what inspired me?
- 14:27It was her due date that day, and she was there at you know, Charlie's memorial service, and it was her baby due date.
- 14:37That day.
- 14:37Well, let's later I want to talk about that.
- 14:42So tell our audience about you being a part of Orange County Choppers and then Born to Ride for 45 with our dear friend George Kalella.
- 14:52With George, well, um, in 2019, I was visiting Paul Sr.
- 14:57and Joni, and we were just chatting at Orange County Choppers, and then they I got a text from Joni says, Hey, we want to talk to you.
- 15:04And um, next thing you know, I was a VP of marketing for Orange County.
- 15:10Now I'm helping out now.
- 15:12Uh we have a new episode on TV called Charles and on Discovery Channel, and we just hit the top 10 on Discovery Channel a few weeks into it, and now we just signed on um several more episodes that we're gonna be start filming soon, hopefully.
- 15:29Now we're gonna be looking for organizations and companies that want to have bike builds, and you know, if you want something built, just give us a call and and we could probably, you know, if you have somebody to fund it, we could probably make it happen.
- 15:40But we're looking for good causes and feel good and make America great because if you like persona, yeah, it's great.
- 15:48I I've watched them for years when they were had their television show.
- 15:53I loved watching them, they were so funny.
- 15:57And um, and I remember when they left the state in New York because of wasn't that during COVID?
- 16:04Yeah, it because we couldn't do anything, everything was locked down, and we moved everything to Clearwater.
- 16:09Um, we did a bike um for one of the trade wins bikes, and we had some contacts there, and we made the contacts, and we built the news shop in Clearwater right next to Bert Charlie Davidson, and it's a great spot if you can come down and visit.
- 16:24I was just there last week with Paul Sr.
- 16:26and the crew, and we were having a great time.
- 16:29And that's when I I also met you.
- 16:30That's what it became um when you were up in New York.
- 16:33I met George, born a ride for 45, you know, our our godfather there.
- 16:37Yeah, and um, that's when I met you.
- 16:39And and and I do miss a friend talking about the ultimate sacrifice.
- 16:43Um what do you call that?
- 16:45I I forgot that remember we met um Jack Holder, he was the last Pearl Harbor survivor that he passed away.
- 16:51Right.
- 16:51We we were with some amazing veterans too, just too many to name on this show.
- 16:58Too many to name it was great, but I you know, I just gave Jack as I was just thinking about it because he was the last Pearl Harbor survivor, and you know, because of that World War II greatest generation, you know, he was one of those, you know, badasses that were just awesome, and you could never forget those guys and and help liberate the Philippines, the Pacific and things like that.
- 17:20But you know, the just kidding aside, you I we have a joke around the office.
- 17:24They're like, How did Santos get a job with Orange County Choppers, the Filipino guy?
- 17:28So I said, I said I walked up to Paul Sr.
- 17:30and said, Paul.
- 17:31He's like, What?
- 17:33I go, remember when you're visiting the Philippines in the 60s, he's like, Yeah, I go, Dad, then I got hired.
- 17:44Those guys are awesome.
- 17:46I I know.
- 17:46I'm sorry I couldn't make it to meet you.
- 17:50No, that was it was great.
- 17:51That's why I called you from the beach.
- 17:53I'm like, oh, Susan's here.
- 17:54Uh, too bad we missed each other.
- 17:56But um I'll see you guys soon.
- 17:59But uh but people forget is it is what's what's even cool.
- 18:03What I learned from that is if you look at America as a whole, that biker persona is part of Americana.
- 18:11And two brands that everybody usually thinks about globally is Harley Davidson and the Orange County Choppers, and being able to help shape that brand globally is such an honor to to be able to do that and and and being part of the team.
- 18:28It's it's it's speechless.
- 18:30There's no path to take to this.
- 18:31It's the guy upstairs guiding you in a in a route that you need to take.
- 18:37And you you just follow your path.
- 18:39And when you see your chances, you take it.
- 18:41And you have we were talking about that earlier about little signs.
- 18:44When you see you take it.
- 18:46And you never get it.
- 18:48Opportunities are windows, and if you don't jump in, you're gonna miss it.
- 18:53That window's gonna close.
- 18:54Well, Santa said I want to get into some other questions in just a moment when we return after a message from our sponsor.

- 20:50With me today is my dear friend Santos Lopez, who is currently running for New York State Assembly 103rd district.
- 21:00Rip Van Winkleville, welcome.
- 21:03Welcome.
- 21:04How are you?
- 21:05We were in the Hudson Valley.
- 21:06I wish I wasn't I was Rip Van Gunkel because there's two ways it could happen.
- 21:10If I fall asleep, and then I wake up a hundred years from now, it's gonna be a great country, or it'll be that like that movie, idiocracy.
- 21:20Yeah, there'll be a lot of technology advanced, that's for sure, because that's where President Trump is taking us into all the advanced technologies, and um I believe we're going to see that unfold after our big birthday celebration this July 4th.
- 21:40It's I can't wait.
- 21:41Yeah, I can't wait to see that.
- 21:43I can't wait to do that.
- 21:44Yeah, can you believe that already?
- 21:47Pardon?
- 21:48Can you believe it's gonna be 250 already?
- 21:50I I remember when we were oh, can you hear me?
- 21:53Yes.
- 21:55Okay.
- 21:55I remember when we were kids in 1776 when it was our bicentennial, and I remember I was in grade school watching that, and then even now, and now here I am uh almost pushing 59 this this summer and I'm like, darn, I'm already in my 50s and almost my 60s, and how time flies, you know.
- 22:17I remember when it was 1776 and it went to the 1776, and that was kind of cool.
- 22:23Yeah, and um what I'm a New Yorker too, formally, even though I live in Florida, and you could take the the girl out of New York, but you can't take the New York out of the girl, and I may be from Buffalo, not New York City, but every part of New York, the people are just different.
- 22:41Most of them are leaders and they're hungry for the opportunities.
- 22:46They see, but we remember a world of yesteryear where you could leave your front door open, you know, you could go and speak to somebody in office about a problem and get things changed and things done.
- 23:01But I have seen the ruins and the wreckage of New York since oh, let's say from the Bush senior days all the way down to Obama, and thank God Trump came along, but then we had a setback for a few years where um, you know, with this the resident Biden and COVID, and now we're getting back on track and things are expediting.
- 23:29But what say you um during uh the Cuomo years when you guys were going through you know the COVID tears tail trail of tears because I have friends that couldn't even go into the nursing homes to visit their parents and grandparents, just tragedy after tragedy.
- 23:53It was it was beyond that, and and it wasn't just the COVID years there, it's even beforehand when Cuomo put the SAFE Act in because the second amendment is also near and dear to me.
- 24:05You know, the second amendment was put in there, you know, as a system of checks and balances against tyranny, and it's not just hunting and fishing, and if you you could see that today with with Iran happening, um, you know, they're supposed the government's supposed to be of the people by the people, right?
- 24:22And not I did, you know, I elected an official to represent me as an official, not as I didn't elect the ruler to rule over me, and that's what a lot of people forgot how to how to do.
- 24:34You know, during COVID, you can't do this, can't do that.
- 24:36Oh, you you can't have uh you can't go here unless you have a vaccine.
- 24:41But the same people that says you have to have a vaccine are saying, oh, it it's not right to have ID during voting.
- 24:48So, you know, one or the other, if you can't have an ID to vote, why do you need you know vaccine passports?
- 24:56Or why do you if it was it's horrible?
- 24:58And colkle was worse than Cuomo.
- 25:01I hate to say it.
- 25:01I'd rather have Como back than yeah, she's horrible.
- 25:08She is horrible.
- 25:10And they forgot who they work for, and that's why I'm running.
- 25:13I'm like, okay, let's put some common sense back in there.
- 25:15Like I'm just gonna touch base, the person I'm running against is a DSA candidate and and and a socialist.
- 25:23And you know, she literally says she hates capitalism.
- 25:26And I'm like, I'm the opposite.
- 25:28Capitalism is what makes America America.
- 25:31You know, small business is the backbone of capitalism from your deli guy to the pizza guy to your local restaurants to that artist.
- 25:39That's capitalism.
- 25:41So why would you be against that?
- 25:43You know, they're like tax the tax the rich Mandami wants to they just lie like Mindami just got elected and goes, Oh, I'm not gonna raise any taxes, and the first thing he does is tries to raise your property taxes 10%.
- 25:57I'm like, how does that even work?
- 25:59So we let's go back to common sense.
- 26:02Yeah, they're forgetting about that, and they forgot who you work for.
- 26:05We need to eradicate uh that and and he didn't even swear in on a Bible.
- 26:12So no, no, you know, it says God we trust in there, and I you know that's why I'm running is is I'm trusting I had a call to run.
- 26:27Up you're broken up a little bit.
- 26:31Um can you hear me now?
- 26:33Yeah, you were broken up a little bit.
- 26:35So Santos, what are the jobs of um assembly?
- 26:43You there?
- 26:44Look at all the bills that come in.
- 26:47Yes, can you hear me?
- 26:48I'm here.
- 26:48I haven't here okay.
- 26:53So tell our yes, what are the jobs of uh an assembly?
- 27:01State assembly.
- 27:02So what happens is bills come in, bills come in, you know.
- 27:06It's just like the just like in the federal government, you have Congress, you have then you have the president, right?
- 27:13And in the in the New York State, it's just the same way, also similar.
- 27:17You have your assembly members, you have your Senate, then you have the governor, right?
- 27:21So it goes through the Senate, and then it I mean it goes to the assembly members, then it goes to the Senate, and then it goes to the governors, just similar to that at the state level.
- 27:29So it's basically like a congressman, but at a legislative level at the state.
- 27:34So that's assembly members do.
- 27:36So we'll put in some bills, we'll we'll approve bills that come through the desk.
- 27:40Some of them are crazy, and some of them make sense.
- 27:43Um, and they'll say, hey, does this person want to do um increase your taxes?
- 27:50I'll always vote no on increasing taxes, or something about buses in New York City, or veterans' rights, or put in a bill for veteran dental bill, which I actually helped co-craft several already to help veterans get dental, which was kind of cool.
- 28:08That's perfect and um and and veterans' rights.
- 28:11So I'm a very advocate for that.
- 28:13And one of the and we will we'll put in the bills, approve it, then we'll run it to the Senate, and then Senate will send it to the governor if it gets approved, then it turns into a uh a law.
- 28:23So that's what the Senate that's what assembly job is to help make common sense laws, and believe it or not, but sometimes you do not get any common sense laws in there.
- 28:34And I I'm fighting for another reason too for freedom of speech.
- 28:38There's actually when they have debate.
- 28:43Um, when they have debate time on bills, um, there's actually there's actually um times where they're not equal from Democrats or Republicans.
- 28:52The Democrats have more time and they cut the Republican side in half.
- 28:56So there's there's very partisan, it's a very partisan.
- 29:00How do they get away with that?
- 29:02How did they get away with that?
- 29:04They they voted in, and that's where there you have a minority and majority.
- 29:08I don't know how they get away with it.
- 29:09They've been voting it for years.
- 29:11So I might the way I'm gonna fight it is let the people know because I get half the people don't even know that that they can, you know, the the Republicans get half a debate time, you know.
- 29:22So that's not even right.
- 29:24It should be fair for one, it should be fair for all of them.
- 29:27Let's go back to common sense fairness in general.
- 29:29That's right.
- 29:31So in order to fix a problem, like we do anywhere, you first have to understand that the problem exists, and then once the problem exists, then you make solutions.
- 29:40So when I run for office, and I get if I get into office and when I get into office, and and God willing, that's how I'm gonna approach it.
- 29:48One is it constitutional, right?
- 29:52Two, what's the solution to fix that problem?
- 29:55And and we'll we'll get together and come up with common sense solutions.
- 30:00To fix problems, but a lot of 90% of this stuff can be done with communication.
- 30:06And we have to be able to talk to each other, Democrats and Republicans together, just like we do in the military.
- 30:11Yeah, exactly.
- 30:13Well, so how did you?
- 30:16I'm trying to figure this out.
- 30:19What exactly what was the turning point for you to say, you know what?
- 30:23I'm gonna throw my hat into the ring and run because I want to make that difference.
- 30:30What was the mining moment?
- 30:33Um, over the last god decade or so, I've been hanging out with assembly and DPH route in Buffalo, New York, and I got to know a lot of the assembly members.
- 30:42I became friends with them.
- 30:43Um, I'd go up there every week and just hang out with the guys, and I'd start learning the ropes on what they're talking about with the problems of New York.
- 30:52Um at one point, I just said to myself, I looked at my own neighborhood and the person I'm running against, like no, this is wrong.
- 31:00And I said, It was actually during Charlie Kirk's memorial service, and I was just thinking about how we all have to get out of our comfort zone and run.
- 31:08And I said, you know what, I'm gonna do it.
- 31:10And I started making a decision and said, I'm gonna run this year, threw my hat into the ring, and now all of a sudden I'm now I just got I I'm actually on the ballot.
- 31:21We just got enough signatures.
- 31:23I am now the uh Republican and conservative candidate for 1030 assembly district.
- 31:28Yeah, so we'll do that in November now.
- 31:30I'm gonna work on um coming up with solutions on my platform.
- 31:35And for me, it's not I'm not running for votes, I'm running to fix it.
- 31:38So I guess that's the difference.
- 31:40If if I if I was running for votes, then I'm running for the wrong reasons.
- 31:44So, you know, I I it's kind of like Superman.
- 31:48I'm not even kind of like kidding, but because it's it's truth justice in American way, you know.
- 31:52I call me old-fashioned, but that's why I'm running, is because in order to fix a problem, you know.
- 31:59Um, if you want it done right, you gotta do it yourself.
- 32:02So I that's why I'm throwing in my well, I love it, and I love the fact that Buffalo, New York is my hometown.
- 32:09So you've been hanging out with Pai homies.
- 32:11Oh, you're kidding.
- 32:12I love Buffalo area.
- 32:14Buffalo's like that's a foodie and a sports town.
- 32:17That's oh, yeah.
- 32:18I I we uh uh assembly DPH and I, we uh Dave and I, we actually it's funny, is we actually go to Canada a lot for Chinese food.
- 32:27Yeah, Niagara Falls, like five minutes from my sister's house.
- 32:31Yeah, we'll go to the we'll go to the over to Peace Bridge and we'll go to Ming Tai or you know, and go have Chinese food on the Canada side.
- 32:39Uh but for some reason it's got really good Chinese food in Canada.
- 32:43Well, we used to go to Niagara Falls and Canada all the time.
- 32:47I mean, we'd go to the beaches there and everything growing up.
- 32:51Yeah, it's great.
- 32:52And and you could just travel back and forth, and and and I love that area.
- 32:57The except in the winter when you get like nine feet of snow.
- 33:00I know why I live in Florida, my friend.
- 33:04There's that you know, Buffalo, the snow does not like people in their older years.
- 33:12Let's just say that.
- 33:14Yeah, it it's it's it's called that shovel.
- 33:18No, it's called the snow plow.
- 33:20Snow plow, yeah.
- 33:21You don't want to oh my god.
- 33:23I was like, how do you even get nine feet of snow in a day?
- 33:25That lake effect snow sometimes.
- 33:27Oh my god, six feet, three feet at a time.
- 33:30I was like, no, I'll I'll follow I'll follow you and go to hang out in the south.
- 33:35Yeah, I'd rather live here, but back in the days when I worked in health care and I worked every other weekend, and I had to be to work at six in the morning.
- 33:45It was like a hospital, and uh I had to get up at four in the morning just to shovel the end of the driveway, which was six feet of snow from the plow just to be able to pull out of the driveway.
- 34:01So yeah, it it's it's too tough.
- 34:04I don't I don't care for it, you know.
- 34:07And and a lot of listeners probably don't realize that New York, they have a lot of a lot of people that don't come from New York think New York is like a big city, it's not, you know, you got a little New York City in the bottom, then you have the rest of New York State, you know, from the from the Hudson Valley Catscill regions to the Adirondacks all the way to Canada, and you have central New York is the whole different region, then Western New York's a whole nother region.
- 34:30Yeah, so Buffalo's Western New York and New York.
- 34:33It's the snowbelt capital, and the home of the Buffalo Bills.
- 34:39Yep, all of the Buffalo Bills.
- 34:42They're the most vicious, but they're they're the number one sports fans from what I hear.
- 34:47Don't get in the way of a tailgate party for the Buffalo.
- 34:50Oh, yeah.
- 34:51Or don't get in the way of the Buffalo guys, the the uh the Buffalo Bills mafia shoveling snow.
- 35:00No, it has its own personality, it even has its own language, like there's certain words I'll pick up from my my brothers and my sisters live their family run businesses, and people will say, Does your family live in Florida?
- 35:18Why don't they live in Florida?
- 35:19And I I tell them, you gotta understand these New Yorkers, it could be below zero.
- 35:25They got the bedroom window open, letting that freezing cold air come in the bedroom while they're sleeping.
- 35:32It's they're oh, I'll tell you, they're just those.
- 35:37That's the best part, is like with an open window, it's cold outside, and you're underneath a warm quilt.
- 35:41Yeah, and a warm comfy blanket.
- 35:44Yeah, that's that's that's great if you haven't done that before, you know.
- 35:47And if you're from Buffalo, you have to have sales hot dogs.
- 35:51Of course, and you have to keep a blanket or two in your vehicle in case uh your car doesn't want to start, and uh you don't want to get stranded anywhere, but blizzards come out of nowhere.
- 36:04You can walk out of Wagman's grocery store, there's a blizzard going on, so and then you get like a mile into the belt, it'll just snow, then all of a sudden it just stop.
- 36:15Like, what?
- 36:16What happened?
- 36:16Yeah, that link effect snow.
- 36:18It's it's crazy out there.
- 36:20It's a strange the the state of New York is uh it's a beautiful, it's a beautiful state.
- 36:27There's a lot of great farms, farmland, apples products that come from there.
- 36:34Um, and and it's just a beautiful place, but it's so different, and people think it's all like New York City.
- 36:41It's not the people are genuine, they're hard working people, people of every class, but every class, and especially the farmers.
- 36:51Oh, I you know, I I'm very pro-farm.
- 36:55Uh friend of mine, they have a um they have a farm in Delaware County, they do cat cattle and dairy there, and they've been there for 210 years, and and every regulation there, they just they can't keep up.
- 37:08They're doing everything to keep them from farming, right?
- 37:11It's it's horrible, you know, and and they're trying to push the mom and pop farms and family small family farms off the grid.
- 37:18Anything they do is try to get these big conglomerates, and at the same time, you know, they're they're they're cutting off these small farms, and that's that's just wrong.
- 37:28That's the backbone of America.
- 37:30Well, I want to get more into that, Santos, when we return after this message from our sponsor.
- 37:36I cannot tell a lie.
- 37:37My sinuses are blocked, George.
- 37:39You crossed the Delaware.
- 37:41You can cross congestion here.
- 37:44Try clear freedom smells like victory.
- 37:50Come celebrate 250 years of American independence with the America out loud, 25010 independence day celebration in Nashville on July 2nd through 4th.
- 38:03Go to America 250 Nashville.com.
- 38:07Use code XLEAR for 20% off admission.
- 38:11Clear.
- 38:12Breathe in the independence.
- 38:16And welcome back.
- 38:17I'm Gold Star Mother Susan Price, and this is America Out Loud.
- 38:22And with me today, my guest, Santos Lopez.
- 38:25Yes, Santos, let's pick up on the farms again.
- 38:28I wanted to mention there's an area in Buffalo there that has the Amish, an Ambah, Amish congregation, and their farms, and they take such beautiful pride.
- 38:41And um, well, that's why they don't take part in government affairs, they have their own society.
- 38:47You know, there's not they have their own family values, they do a lot of different things, and again, New York is a bunch of different cultures from the Amish.
- 38:54It's not just the T people in you know the city and the that that you see all the time.
- 39:00It's these farmers like the Amish or these old farms like my friend's farm that's in Delaware County in central New York, there, kind of in the uh the mountains there, and they've been there for 210 years as a family seventh generation family farm, and they're just over-regulating these guys, or they'll over eminent domain like in New York City with the watershed trying to regulate and put too many laws on these guys where they can't do their job anymore, and or they can barely make ends meet with all these regulations, and and we just have to let these guys farm because if we don't farm, that's that's America's backbone is farmers.
- 39:37You gotta, you know, you have to feed people.
- 39:40You know, it's it's just that's it.
- 39:43You gotta feed people.
- 39:45Well, I wanted to ask you, how did the sanctuary cities get away with this?
- 39:49Because they want to come down on farmers, which is the backbone and represent us, but yet there's groups of foreign adversaries live.
- 40:00Within sanctuary cities and they get away with everything.
- 40:04That's where I'm I'm wrong with I'm I'm totally against sanctuary cities.
- 40:08You know, there's nothing they always push that there's an immigrant is are the backbone of this.
- 40:13You're right.
- 40:13Immigrants are the backbone of America as well.
- 40:16But there's a difference between legal and illegal immigration.
- 40:20Right that we were talking about earlier.
- 40:23You know, as the Filipino myself, you know, there's we you know, you come in legally, and I'm gonna use this analogy.
- 40:30And um, let's say immigration and immigrants are like a big bowl of MMs, right?
- 40:36You got like peanut MMs, you got regular MMs, you got peanut butter MMs now, you got a whole mixture of MMs, and you're America now.
- 40:47That bowl of MMs, you take a thousand poison MMs, you mix it in that bowl, and if you eat one of those MMs, it's gonna kill you.
- 40:56So, are you gonna take a handful of MMs and swallow it?
- 41:00Or are you gonna check each MM before you put it in your mouth?
- 41:04You're gonna check each MM.
- 41:05So there's nothing wrong with immigration, just go through the door, and they're like, oh, it's for how about these migrant workers from the farms?
- 41:14Okay, at least go through the door or make it in the process where it's easier for them to understand the immigration laws and file easier, at least it's coming through the door.
- 41:23That's all we want you to do, is come through the door and keep the bad guys out.
- 41:27That's what, and then who knows what came through the border under Biden in the past few years uh for national security.
- 41:35I don't I don't know.
- 41:36We we just have to be able to work with each other.
- 41:38You want to keep the bad guys out, but you there is nothing wrong with legal immigration and creating borders without borders, countries don't exist, and uh we have to control those and keep the bad guys out.
- 41:52Well, we do, and it's uh fact that there are sleeper cells within the United States, and I'm sure that the military and President Trump has a handle on it, however, this started years ago back during the Bush administration.
- 42:11Back then we thought the Bush family was it.
- 42:15We thought they were pro-Americana, but not and look what happened under the Bush administration, 9-11.
- 42:25Are you kidding?
- 42:26I think it even happened before that because remember the Iran hostage crisis back in the 70s when we were kids and they took over the hostages in Iran.
- 42:36Yeah, and then that was one of the reasons why we didn't go in then was they were afraid of sleeper cells in the United States back then, and then you know, what happened afterwards was 1983.
- 42:47You had the Iran um backed Hezbollah, and then they blew up our marines in Beirut, and then you had the USS coal, and then how many people that you had from Iran uh that were backed by Iran with the uh Iraq and Afghanistan war that were supplied by IEDs and kill a lot of our troops.
- 43:09So this has been long coming.
- 43:11Exactly, but I want to mention that it was some of our three-letter agencies, and one begins with the C that was propagating these wars along with MI6 and others, these proxy wars, and Trump had to go in and eradicate these people, and let's not forget that Iran was Persia, and 80% of it is Christian, uh and and most people don't know that.
- 43:39Yes, that's the fastest growing Christian religion people is Iran, formerly Persia, and I think they'll get their name back.
- 43:49I really do I you know I'm watching these videos with uh the Iranians with the the old Iranian flag dancing to the YMCA.
- 43:58I actually get a kick out of that and watching how happy those people are.
- 44:02If I look at some of these people protesting, how do you protest people happy that their country is getting back?
- 44:08Uh you know, how do you protest and support people that killed 40,000 of their citizens just because they stood up to your regime?
- 44:15That's just you know, America's a force for good.
- 44:18There's a difference between right and wrong, good and bad.
- 44:21And it our soldiers and our military, we're still a force for good, and we don't mind putting the ultimate sacrifice if it's something for good.
- 44:30And I I have a great feeling deep down in my heart that what we're doing now is the right thing to do.
- 44:35Well, I know it is, and I know that President Trump works diligently around the clock.
- 44:41The man never sleeps, he loves our country, he was born for this moment in time, and thank God for him, because you know, and I met the resident Obama at um the uh awards for the um medal of honor, and when my son was killed, I had to be there, and I met him and Michelle and others.
- 45:04I met all the Congress.
- 45:06I even worked with a couple Congress people that made things happen, the right people, but it's just sad that corruption has hit not only Congress but certain military, which Trump and Hed Seth are cleaning out.
- 45:22Um, and thank God and and and Kennedy is in there uh cleaning out the food industry and and the food and drug administration, you know.
- 45:33We've as Americans, we've been castrated and bastardized because we've been living under the um the bad 40 some ruling of these deference laws, which Trump has taken down to, and these agencies, and I love it.
- 45:52I love to see them work.
- 45:53I read his executive orders, and I have since day one.
- 45:57I've written about them, I follow up on them, and I teach my grandchildren.
- 46:03This is how things used to be, and this is how they're transforming, and what are you gonna do to make a difference too in this fight of good versus evil?
- 46:15It's in the that's why I'm running.
- 46:17That's right.
- 46:23Yeah, what do you what are you gonna do?
- 46:25You know, you gotta you gotta follow up and follow your heart.
- 46:30Can you still hear me?
- 46:31Yes, I'm here.
- 46:32Oh, okay.
- 46:33What my thought is you think about it, is what's kind of funny.
- 46:38Yeah, you know how the world things history always repeats itself.
- 46:42Right.
- 46:43They always say that.
- 46:44If you look at the states that became straight states first, like New York, they're the ones that are becoming the most corrupt first.
- 46:50I know.
- 46:52Yes, but your universities, the universities, and it's the first ones in history, yeah.
- 46:59It history repeats itself, and then I hope this pendulum swings back in the other direction.
- 47:04And hope I I have a feeling that this is what's coming, is we have to swing back the pendulum to the other direction and go back to normalcy.
- 47:10But Santos, I want to mention this while we're talking about universities because West Point, uh, President Washington, George Washington set up his post at West Point, and it was Benedict Arnold that wanted to hand that over to the red coats, and uh we'd be not speaking and living the way we are today, had that gone by.
- 47:36And I and just like General George Washington, um, Trump is a version of that modern day history, history repeating itself in a different form.
- 47:50Yeah, and and he actually, you know, I what I like President Trump is is he actually cares.
- 47:56I truly he truly I believe he cares.
- 48:00And he's not a politician, and a lot of the ones that are complaining about President Trump is the guys that have been in office forever.
- 48:08Look at Schumer, 40-something years.
- 48:10Yeah, holy crap.
- 48:13He's part of the milk and honey problem.
- 48:16He's you know, getting his fingers and hands greased.
- 48:21Yeah, it's and who knows?
- 48:23And and you know what you do, follow the money, you know, and and that's how you find corruption, follow the money.
- 48:29You know, look at look, for example, uh Nick Shirley finding that corruption in the Somali, you know, daycares, millions of dollars that went to Somalia, right?
- 48:41You know, follow the money at the end of the day is it being spent wisely?
- 48:44I don't mind being taxed as long as you spend it wisely.
- 48:47You know, but about the dough.
- 48:49What about all the doughs uh that they found where what AI is finding the um is finding a lot of the corruption that's out there in doge, you know, and and first they try to put a stop to it because you're getting too close to their stuff.
- 49:09I say find it.
- 49:10And you know, one of our jobs, even working in the military is find fraud, waste and abuse, and uh most of the fraud waste and abuse you'll find in government spending, right?
- 49:22You know, I don't mind paying taxes, just spend it wisely.
- 49:25I'm totally for spending it for defense, and but they're they're they're now using it as a political ploy, like like for example, let's use this TSA thing to get back at ICE.
- 49:36So why would you punish TSA workers families not paying them because you don't have you don't like what ICE is doing?
- 49:45It's just wrong.
- 49:46You don't shut it down to to be vindictive.
- 49:49You know, these are American voters and American people and American families that need to eat as well, right?
- 49:55So that's that's not fair.
- 49:56That's just that's just morally.
- 50:00Morally incorrect.
- 50:02You know, it is it's I I can't say what I want to say on air.
- 50:06I I got you.
- 50:07Who are some of the professional people you collaborate in conjunction with how we're going to transform some of these issues in New York and make it better again, heal and transform and keep the socialist out of there.
- 50:26Oh, I like like I said before, I one of my biggest my biggest advocates is assembly DPH on your neck of the woods.
- 50:32I also speak with um Hawley, um, a lot of the GOP guys.
- 50:39I'll speak with um Assemblyman Manganello.
- 50:43I I speak with like all of my friends with a lot of them.
- 50:46And we'll just chat about America as a whole, or what does it need?
- 50:51And we just change exchange ideas.
- 50:53And some of the ideas I've talked with those guys about, they put into bills, and I'm like, you know what?
- 50:59One one of their staffers goes, Santos.
- 51:02I'm like, what?
- 51:03I go, like, why don't you just run for office?
- 51:05You're doing a job anyway.
- 51:06I'm like, all right, great idea.
- 51:10But you know what I love, Santos, is you're approaching it at the grassroot level.
- 51:15And that's how the old-fashioned America used to be.
- 51:19People get together, neighbors talking, sitting on the front porch, getting together at a community event.
- 51:27But you're that's what you're doing.
- 51:29You're talking to people that assimilate from all different areas, and they put their ideas together and how they can better a situation.
- 51:40I'm actually sitting in the parking lot of the vet to vet center, uh, Hudson Valley Veteran uh Center for Veteran Integration, and they're having their Tuesday veteran luncheon.
- 51:49So I stepped out.
- 51:50I was just in there with about uh about a hundred veterans having pizza and lunch, just talking about the community, you know.
- 51:58And and that's how you get to know what's what's the what the issues are.
- 52:02And then one of the questions is not just identify what the problems are.
- 52:04I said, okay, how would you want to fix it?
- 52:07So we'll exchange ideas, and that's how we all have to start communicating.
- 52:12And that's what I was saying before.
- 52:14I'll I'll we have to work with Democrats and Republicans together.
- 52:18You know, and that room is full of Democrats and Republicans.
- 52:21They just have different views, and and how we just how do you find a solution?
- 52:25So that's how I'm gonna approach this this job, you know, when I get elected.
- 52:30And I know you're gonna get elected, and I know you're gonna do well.
- 52:34And and like you and I, we have both served, we're veterans, and we keep serving.
- 52:40You don't just get out and take the uniform off, even though you're a mother or your father, you serve in many ways and through different groups of people, networking, and um how we're coming to a close of our show.
- 52:57What inspirational insights and where can people find you?
- 53:02Leave us some thoughts.
- 53:03What what say you?
- 53:05Inspirationally, I I think we also have to be able to communicate together.
- 53:09And like I said earlier, we're not all just Democrats, Republicans, or whatever party you are.
- 53:14We're all Americans at the end of the day, and we got to do what's good for America.
- 53:17And then you can actually visit um my website.
- 53:21It's in under construction, it's Lopez One Mission, one community, because that stems from our area in the military, one mission, one fight.
- 53:30So I'm doing, you know, Lopez, one mission, one community.
- 53:34End of the day, we're all one community.
- 53:37Yeah, I love that.
- 53:38That's what we're thinking.
- 53:40And uh, so and and are you allowed to say who you're running against.
- 53:47Yeah, her name is uh I can't even her Sharhana, and it starts with an S.
- 53:51It's like if you could Google it, it's an 103rd assembly district, and she's a uh Democrat Socialist of America.
- 53:57And I'm like, okay, that doesn't even fit in the same sentence.
- 54:00She's pro-Green New Deal, pro illegal immigration.
- 54:05Everything that the left stands for that's anti-American, she's for it.
- 54:10Um so I'm just gonna go put back into common sense.
- 54:13And I said, one of the reasons like I took an oath to support and defend the Constitution of America in the United States of America and why I'm running is I'm just taking my oath to a different level.
- 54:24I resigned from my you know DOD department of war job because of the hatch hack I had to.
- 54:30I'm just taking my oath to support the Constitution of the United States to a different level.
- 54:34And this time I'm running to put my my uh myself into the fight.
- 54:40And that's what I'm doing.
- 54:42And and I love that.
- 54:44And do you go up to Mar-Lago often through the year?
- 54:50Oh no, not often because it's really expensive.
- 54:53Just kidding.
- 54:54Now, a couple of times I'll go with George and the guys, and we'll we'll go there.
- 54:58And then we'll, you know, we've gone to Trump internal, we've gone to Marlago with with George and Papa Bear, the bore and the ride guys.
- 55:07Um, a lot of times I've been staying up here because you know, I was in a car accident, so it's been hard for me to walk.
- 55:12So I'm just starting to walk again, which is pretty cool.
- 55:15You know, God bless you.
- 55:16I remember that horrific accident that you had.
- 55:20And lastly, let you give a shout out to the guys at Orange Chopper.
- 55:26Yeah, Paul, Joni, Jim, and the crew.
- 55:29Hey, I'm glad uh the team is back on TV, and uh let's let's let's keep building bikes and inspire America.
