- 0:10Speaker 1: Welcome to Conspiracy The Show, the world's most trusted conspiracy
- 0:16Speaker 1: dary podcast, with your hosts.
- 0:19Speaker 2: Adam Todd Brown and Olivia Hidar.
- 0:32Speaker 1: Hey, everybody, welcome to Conspiracy the Show. I'm Adam Todd Brown.
- 0:38Speaker 1: Who are you?
- 0:39Speaker 3: I'm Olivia Hidar.
- 0:40Speaker 1: I'm talking quieter than usual because we are infiltrating Bohemian
- 0:44Speaker 1: Grove today.
- 0:45Speaker 3: Oh right, of course, yeah.
- 0:47Speaker 1: Except just by way of an Alex Jones documentary about
- 0:51Speaker 1: Bohemian Grove. Olivia, how's it going?
- 0:54Speaker 3: It's going, okay, it's going okay.
- 0:56Speaker 1: Today's episode was your idea? Explain yourself. It was, and
- 1:01Speaker 1: I'm sorry, but fascinating but no, on.
- 1:05Speaker 3: It is fascinating. There's a lot here.
- 1:07Speaker 1: It's not fascinating for the reasons Alex Jones wants it
- 1:10Speaker 1: to be fascinating. But I found that this exists to
- 1:13Speaker 1: be very fascinating.
- 1:15Speaker 3: Right right, Yeah, well so okay, So honestly, like being honest,
- 1:19Speaker 3: I literally just googled. I didn't know that this existed.
- 1:23Speaker 3: I vaguely knew that Alex Jones had once broken into
- 1:26Speaker 3: bringing me in Grove and it like film stuff, but
- 1:28Speaker 3: I didn't know that this documentary existed. But I wanted
- 1:33Speaker 3: to talk about Boemian Grove, and so I googled Bohemian
- 1:37Speaker 3: Grove documentary and this pot it's not a great story,
- 1:42Speaker 3: but I just thought it was funny that, like I
- 1:44Speaker 3: didn't I kind of was hoping that there would be
- 1:46Speaker 3: like a documentary from like someone who I guess wasn't
- 1:50Speaker 3: Alex Jones. Yeah about it.
- 1:53Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm with you. I find Bohemian Grove to be fascinating. Yeah,
- 1:58Speaker 1: but I find this documentary fascinating for different reasons, right,
- 2:03Speaker 1: Like it starts to get into the history of Bohemian Grove,
- 2:07Speaker 1: and I'm like, I don't want this from Alex Jones,
- 2:09Speaker 1: Like I can know I can find the history of
- 2:11Speaker 1: Bohemian Grove on my own. Yeah, I want to see
- 2:14Speaker 1: all the other stuff.
- 2:16Speaker 3: Like Wikipedia didn't exist when this was made. But it
- 2:20Speaker 3: sounds like maybe the person who wrote the Wikipedia submarine
- 2:24Speaker 3: for Bohemian Grove just transcribed this, because that's just what
- 2:27Speaker 3: it is. It's just a lot of roat facts and
- 2:30Speaker 3: it's a very weird artifact I would say, like just
- 2:33Speaker 3: a very strange saying and like I this might be
- 2:36Speaker 3: fucked up, but I actually it made Bohemian Grove seem
- 2:41Speaker 3: less creepy to me, agreed, which is made I did
- 2:45Speaker 3: not think was gonna be. I did not expect that
- 2:48Speaker 3: to be the outcome.
- 2:49Speaker 1: It made Bohemian Grove seem like a very exclusive music festival.
- 2:54Speaker 3: Yes yeah, or just like a shitty summer camp for
- 2:57Speaker 3: rich people.
- 2:58Speaker 1: And what I like about it one Alex Jones, by
- 3:03Speaker 1: the year two thousand, I think was capable of producing
- 3:08Speaker 1: better quality footage than this. I think maybe Alex Jones,
- 3:14Speaker 1: and I'm not joking, was trying to kind of make
- 3:18Speaker 1: another Blair Witch Project, because this is one year removed
- 3:24Speaker 1: from the Blair Witch Project, and everything about the way
- 3:28Speaker 1: it's executed speaks to the Blair Witch Project, from the
- 3:33Speaker 1: fact that a lot of the footage is just him
- 3:36Speaker 1: sitting in a hotel room talking to his crew and
- 3:40Speaker 1: like it all feels very found footage, horror movie like,
- 3:47Speaker 1: but also with a side dish of American propaganda, where
- 3:54Speaker 1: every once in a while, for reasons that still make
- 3:58Speaker 1: no sense, he'll jump in and.
- 4:00Speaker 2: Go in the International Criminal Court.
- 4:03Speaker 1: And it's like, no one cares about that except the
- 4:06Speaker 1: Bush administration that is about to commit a bunch of
- 4:10Speaker 1: war crimes in the Middle East like this, right.
- 4:13Speaker 3: Well, which doesn't exist yet the Bush administration.
- 4:15Speaker 1: Technically they come up no I know, oh, I know
- 4:19Speaker 1: they got up.
- 4:21Speaker 3: We give into it.
- 4:22Speaker 1: Even the way they come up feel suspicious to me.
- 4:25Speaker 3: Yeah, I will say it's interesting. Well, it's interesting because
- 4:28Speaker 3: I watched the documentary that we see being made that
- 4:33Speaker 3: is basically the reason that this documentary got made, which
- 4:37Speaker 3: was made for the Channel four by the journalist John Ronson,
- 4:41Speaker 3: And it does offer some interesting insights as far as
- 4:45Speaker 3: background details and technical things that Alex leaves out of
- 4:50Speaker 3: his documentary. And I mean, look, it is still two
- 4:54Speaker 3: thousand and two thousand is basically the nineties. Yeah, and
- 4:59Speaker 3: like home video equipment was very expensive and not very good,
- 5:05Speaker 3: and so even like the really good stuff, like they
- 5:09Speaker 3: show that they bought like a mini DV camera, you know,
- 5:12Speaker 3: but like again we're talking about a little squat thing.
- 5:15Speaker 1: Alex was in a Scanner Darkly by this point.
- 5:20Speaker 3: I know, no scanner Darkly is two thousand and six, Okay, yeah,
- 5:26Speaker 3: but I.
- 5:26Speaker 1: Know he had been like like info Wars was a
- 5:30Speaker 1: thing by this point.
- 5:33Speaker 3: More, but it was more of a regional Like he's
- 5:36Speaker 3: much more of a regional figure at this point, Like
- 5:39Speaker 3: people know him nationwide because the Internet is starting to
- 5:42Speaker 3: become a thing, and so you know, that's how these
- 5:45Speaker 3: conspiracy theories kind of cohere nationwide. But like, he's still
- 5:50Speaker 3: very much this is nation he hasn't like like because
- 5:53Speaker 3: we both agree that he is absolutely a at least
- 5:57Speaker 3: inadvertent if not purposeful, government plant, absolutely who is fed
- 6:02Speaker 3: information in order to make it seem ridiculous basically. But
- 6:06Speaker 3: I get the vibe that this is pre selling out,
- 6:09Speaker 3: if that makes sense, Like this is real early Alex
- 6:13Speaker 3: Jones still as in the year two thousand, which is
- 6:16Speaker 3: kind of crazy. I'm just suspicious.
- 6:19Speaker 1: One of the things he tries to tie Bohemian Grove too,
- 6:24Speaker 1: the way he focuses on the International Criminal Court really
- 6:30Speaker 1: ruffles my feathers because.
- 6:32Speaker 3: He definitely Yeah, but that's also part of that globalist
- 6:35Speaker 3: thing from pre nine to eleven.
- 6:37Speaker 1: It is, but it's such a specific thing to worry about,
- 6:42Speaker 1: because who would worry about that more than the American
- 6:47Speaker 1: government going into.
- 6:49Speaker 3: I don't disagree.
- 6:52Speaker 1: And also the access he gets to Bohemian Grove, this
- 6:57Speaker 1: doesn't feel like an infiltration, it feels like an invitation.
- 7:01Speaker 3: Well yes, but also that's the part that the British
- 7:06Speaker 3: doc actually gets into a lot more than the Alex
- 7:09Speaker 3: Jones when, which is weird because so much of the
- 7:12Speaker 3: Alex Jones documentary that we're talking about today is like
- 7:16Speaker 3: the first hour of it is just a road trip.
- 7:19Speaker 1: This Cops is twenty five minutes long.
- 7:21Speaker 3: Oh oh yeah, absolutely, he could have just got to
- 7:24Speaker 3: the point. And you know what, this British documentary that
- 7:27Speaker 3: I'll reference a few more times, it's like forty eight
- 7:29Speaker 3: minutes long. It's a very short it's a very short thing.
- 7:32Speaker 3: But it is interesting, Like we see him meet with
- 7:36Speaker 3: his source because apparently he has and he doesn't he
- 7:38Speaker 3: doesn't mention this at all in his documentary. It's weird
- 7:42Speaker 3: that he's got this weird source who's a lawyer named Rick,
- 7:46Speaker 3: who he knows has infiltrated Bohemian Grove in the past
- 7:51Speaker 3: and is going to like give them tips on how
- 7:53Speaker 3: to like get in, and they have this whole like
- 7:57Speaker 3: covert meaning where they talk about disguises and shit. And
- 8:00Speaker 3: I'm just shocked that Alex just didn't include it in
- 8:02Speaker 3: his version of the documentary because Rick is probably Cia
- 8:08Speaker 3: might be he might be and like that's what I'm saying,
- 8:10Speaker 3: Like it I think that Alex is still at least
- 8:16Speaker 3: at this point, fully believes everything that he is saying
- 8:20Speaker 3: about this. Oh, like that is just the overwhelming vibe
- 8:24Speaker 3: you get and it's just yeah, this lawyer Rick guy,
- 8:27Speaker 3: he like tells them how to dress like the vibe
- 8:30Speaker 3: that you get and we, like you mentioned is that
- 8:32Speaker 3: it's a super exclusive music festival dinner party, like summer
- 8:37Speaker 3: camp all rolled into one. And when you're super rich
- 8:41Speaker 3: and you're wanting to like relax, your security is going
- 8:44Speaker 3: to be very relaxed. And I feel like it probably
- 8:46Speaker 3: isn't if you look like you fit in. As long
- 8:48Speaker 3: as you make it past like a security checkpoint, I
- 8:51Speaker 3: feel like it might be pretty easy to get in.
- 8:54Speaker 1: So let's get into the documentary.
- 8:56Speaker 3: Yes, sorry, yeah, we're we're we're talking all around it.
- 8:59Speaker 1: All of this happens around July fifteenth, two thousand, That
- 9:04Speaker 1: is when the gathering at Bohemian Grove of the Bohemian
- 9:10Speaker 1: Club happens, the one in particular that Alex Jones infiltrates.
- 9:17Speaker 1: He goes into a bunch of history about Bohemian Grove
- 9:21Speaker 1: and he talks about how it was founded by like
- 9:24Speaker 1: intellectuals who wanted an escape from like Judeo Christian norms
- 9:32Speaker 1: in things, man, And something about him just saying that
- 9:37Speaker 1: made it seem a little less like, don't get me wrong,
- 9:41Speaker 1: I'm sure it's sketchy.
- 9:42Speaker 3: Yeah, but again it feels.
- 9:45Speaker 1: Like Coachella sketchy. Like it feels like this is just
- 9:50Speaker 1: a place the very richest people go to, you know,
- 9:55Speaker 1: do some debauchery, like this is the purge basically, yes.
- 10:00Speaker 3: I think that's absolutely and like the thing is, the
- 10:03Speaker 3: thing that is scary about Bohemian Grove is that it's
- 10:06Speaker 3: all of these powerful people from all sides of the
- 10:09Speaker 3: political spectrum and economic strata coming together and hanging out
- 10:14Speaker 3: and like being all friendly and making deals with each
- 10:18Speaker 3: other and going into back rooms of back rooms and
- 10:21Speaker 3: shit like that, and not that they are also like
- 10:25Speaker 3: sacrificing people to Moloch or whatever or committing some piger
- 10:30Speaker 3: I don't give a shit. That's the thing. Like Alex
- 10:32Speaker 3: Jones believes in God, like he's a Christian and he
- 10:37Speaker 3: believes the devil and shit, and so he is just
- 10:40Speaker 3: terrified of that as well.
- 10:44Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean he believes in I don't know, I
- 10:49Speaker 1: don't know that Alex Jones genuinely believes anything.
- 10:55Speaker 3: Like well, no, I think Alex.
- 10:56Speaker 1: Jones is one hundred percent government. I don't think there
- 11:01Speaker 1: is a genuine fiber in his being. Like, I honestly
- 11:08Speaker 1: would not be surprised if he is Bill Hicks. Like
- 11:13Speaker 1: the circumstances surrounding the death of Bill Hicks and the
- 11:18Speaker 1: rise of Alex Jones are very fucking weird. Like I
- 11:23Speaker 1: feel like Alex Jones has a fucking job to do,
- 11:26Speaker 1: and sure I think he's doing it in this documentary.
- 11:30Speaker 1: Like I don't think for a second that Alex Jones
- 11:33Speaker 1: mistrusts the government. Alex Jones is the government. He is
- 11:37Speaker 1: one hundred percent the government, and he wouldn't be in
- 11:41Speaker 1: the position to show us the footage he shows us
- 11:45Speaker 1: in this documentary if he was not at least somewhat
- 11:48Speaker 1: connected to the government. This is like, think about what
- 11:52Speaker 1: he's attending. This is a gathering of all of the
- 11:57Speaker 1: biggest world leaders, right, And he shows up days in
- 12:02Speaker 1: advance and is interviewing locals and.
- 12:05Speaker 2: Is like, I'm a fucking enful try to eating babies
- 12:09Speaker 2: in there.
- 12:10Speaker 1: And it's like, where is the scene of the Feds
- 12:13Speaker 1: kicking in his hotel room and black bagging this motherfucker
- 12:17Speaker 1: that just happened to an ABC News producer under the
- 12:21Speaker 1: Biden administration.
- 12:23Speaker 3: Yeah, like Alex Jones, but that the news producer was
- 12:27Speaker 3: looking into real stuff.
- 12:29Speaker 1: Right, exactly exactly. Alex Jones isn't looking into real stuff here.
- 12:33Speaker 1: Alex Jones is trying to let people know globalists and
- 12:38Speaker 1: their international criminal courts that will eventually want to take
- 12:42Speaker 1: down the Bush administration for war crimes are.
- 12:45Speaker 2: A real problem.
- 12:46Speaker 1: And it's like no one's fucking worried about the international
- 12:49Speaker 1: criminal court. It's like this is so this feels like
- 12:53Speaker 1: the government saw the Blair witch project and was like,
- 12:58Speaker 1: let's do that to at least partially sell what we're
- 13:01Speaker 1: about to do in the Middle East. And I know
- 13:03Speaker 1: Bush wasn't elected yet, but wasn't he wasn't he This
- 13:08Speaker 1: is a conspiracy podcast.
- 13:09Speaker 3: We are just right in those fucking pre nine to
- 13:13Speaker 3: eleven vibes talking about this.
- 13:15Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly. This is just this is all the government
- 13:21Speaker 1: way too much.
- 13:22Speaker 3: Still, Yeah, we we've gotten into this before a little bit.
- 13:27Speaker 3: But like, I don't think that he I think that
- 13:30Speaker 3: he believes in like as much as he is like
- 13:33Speaker 3: clearly a bad person, and like doesn't like believe in
- 13:38Speaker 3: the way that like you or I or the people
- 13:41Speaker 3: at home like believe in things. But like, I think
- 13:45Speaker 3: he thinks some of this shit's real, and I think
- 13:48Speaker 3: he might be more unwitting at least at especially at
- 13:52Speaker 3: this point that we're talking about in two thousand.
- 13:55Speaker 1: Now, I don't know, I will accept that he thinks
- 13:58Speaker 1: some of this stuff as real. Yeah, but I one
- 14:01Speaker 1: hundred in my heart of hearts think it's because someone
- 14:05Speaker 1: from the government came to him and was like, Hey,
- 14:08Speaker 1: all this stuff, Yeah, you're saying it's all it's all real,
- 14:12Speaker 1: So how about you come work with us to stop it.
- 14:16Speaker 3: Yeah, well, look, I think that's probably at least true,
- 14:19Speaker 3: if not about this specific thing, that about a lot
- 14:22Speaker 3: of stuff that he has talked about. But also I
- 14:25Speaker 3: think a lot of those people also believe in that shit.
- 14:28Speaker 3: Like I think this kind of goes a little bit further,
- 14:31Speaker 3: and like it's not in this but it's in the
- 14:34Speaker 3: British documentary. You see him before the documentary takes place
- 14:40Speaker 3: immediately before and he's like a local celebrity in Austin,
- 14:44Speaker 3: an underground type celebrity guy who people just know, and
- 14:48Speaker 3: he goes to a church and like gives a speech
- 14:52Speaker 3: about globalism and shit and the documentary cruise in the
- 14:55Speaker 3: back and you see soldiers in like uniform like clapping
- 14:59Speaker 3: about out we're going to take the shit back from
- 15:03Speaker 3: them and like, you know, we're not gonna let that,
- 15:05Speaker 3: let them destroy what we love and that sort of thing.
- 15:07Speaker 3: And like, I bet that those like you know, there's
- 15:10Speaker 3: a there's a route for information to get to him
- 15:13Speaker 3: right there, like because he has very devoted fans who
- 15:17Speaker 3: will bring him whatever and he's gonna believe it because
- 15:21Speaker 3: they're from the military. I don't know, he's a fucking
- 15:23Speaker 3: crazy figure, but I there's just so many off, out
- 15:27Speaker 3: of character moments scattered throughout all this where I just
- 15:31Speaker 3: feel like he believes this shit. At least this shit,
- 15:34Speaker 3: I feel like he believed it.
- 15:35Speaker 1: Yeah, he does engage in some classic Alex Jones misdirection.
- 15:43Speaker 1: Is it misinformation? I don't know. He brings up David Gergan,
- 15:48Speaker 1: who was a member of the Clinton administration, and he
- 15:51Speaker 1: talks about how David Gergan joined the Clinton administration and
- 15:56Speaker 1: decided to quit all of these groups he was a
- 15:58Speaker 1: part of. And he shows you this newspaper article and
- 16:03Speaker 1: he like underlines a line that makes it seem like
- 16:06Speaker 1: David Gergan was saying, I'm not going to run around naked,
- 16:10Speaker 1: And if you look into it, David Gergan quit the
- 16:13Speaker 1: Bohemian Club because it was a group that discriminated based
- 16:18Speaker 1: on sex, right, and it was a bad look for
- 16:21Speaker 1: someone in the Clinton administration to be a member of
- 16:25Speaker 1: a group that didn't allow women. Sure, and Alex Jones
- 16:29Speaker 1: is painting it like, oh, well, this guy was so
- 16:32Speaker 1: fucking weirded out by all the things he saw inside
- 16:35Speaker 1: Bohemian Grove. Like David Gergan at first was like, I'm
- 16:38Speaker 1: not gonna quit, Like why would I quit the Bohemian Club?
- 16:42Speaker 1: Are you crazy? Men? Pressure mounted and people were like,
- 16:46Speaker 1: you gotta quit. The same thing happened to Vince Foster
- 16:49Speaker 1: before he joined the Clinton body count.
- 16:52Speaker 3: Of course, of course, he was.
- 16:54Speaker 1: A member of some country club that didn't allow women,
- 16:58Speaker 1: and at first he was like, no, but it's rad
- 17:00Speaker 1: and I like being there, so I'm just gonna stay there.
- 17:03Speaker 1: And eventually people are like, no, you have to quit,
- 17:05Speaker 1: and he did. But Alex Jones is painting this like, oh,
- 17:09Speaker 1: this guy was so sketched out by what he saw
- 17:11Speaker 1: inside there, he had to quit. Nope. Not what happened
- 17:14Speaker 1: at all, and if you're in Alex Jones truther, you
- 17:20Speaker 1: ought to ask yourself why he's being that dishonest about
- 17:25Speaker 1: that detail, because it's really the only like outsider criticism
- 17:32Speaker 1: that is involved in that, Like there's not he interviews
- 17:35Speaker 1: some locals, but there's no like other government people who've
- 17:38Speaker 1: been there who are like, man, I'm not gonna fucking
- 17:41Speaker 1: believe this. Yeah, and it's like why, like why is
- 17:45Speaker 1: he lying about it? Like, if you trust Alex Jones,
- 17:48Speaker 1: you should ask yourself why he's lying about that seemingly
- 17:51Speaker 1: minor detail.
- 17:52Speaker 3: Absolutely, don't trust Alex Jones.
- 17:55Speaker 1: Yeah. Also don't trust Alex Jones.
- 17:58Speaker 3: It's Jesus.
- 17:59Speaker 1: Yeah, it's right up there with trust in the government.
- 18:01Speaker 1: I can't stress that enough.
- 18:03Speaker 3: I did think for most of this that he the
- 18:05Speaker 3: woman who was filming him was his now ex wife,
- 18:09Speaker 3: but apparently know it's a girlfriend from earlier, but thought
- 18:13Speaker 3: that was interesting. She was a girlfriend though, yeah, girlfriend
- 18:16Speaker 3: at the time.
- 18:16Speaker 1: Yeah, Yeah, I didn't know if she was just like
- 18:19Speaker 1: working for info Wars. No, I mean yes, but well
- 18:23Speaker 1: yeah obviously, but yeah, yeah, I didn't know they were dating.
- 18:26Speaker 3: Yeah, there's some interesting interviews with her. She a lot
- 18:30Speaker 3: of talk in the behind the scenes about guns, like
- 18:33Speaker 3: they keep saying, Man, I wish we could have guns here.
- 18:38Speaker 1: I mistrust so much about this. I hate yeah, I
- 18:42Speaker 1: hate the way the camera shakes like the blair Witch projects, Like, well,
- 18:47Speaker 1: this is what I.
- 18:47Speaker 3: Was talking about, like the behind like the camera is
- 18:51Speaker 3: and he mentions it briefly in this, but you don't
- 18:54Speaker 3: really get a look at it. The camera is this
- 18:57Speaker 3: little shitty thing that goes in like a fake pager.
- 19:00Speaker 1: What Alex Jones made this as a horror movie, and
- 19:03Speaker 1: the government saw it and was like no, no, no,
- 19:06Speaker 1: we can use yes, we can use it.
- 19:08Speaker 3: Maybe, yeah, that might be it, like yeah, and then
- 19:11Speaker 3: they made this does have a very similar climax to
- 19:15Speaker 3: the Last exorsis, Yeah, the Last Exorcism very similar, ending
- 19:20Speaker 3: with a lot of fire and people dancing around. It
- 19:23Speaker 3: had a lot of found footage vibes. He might have
- 19:26Speaker 3: been going for Blair Witch, but it also did seem
- 19:29Speaker 3: like they were using like really shitty cameras and almost
- 19:32Speaker 3: comedically trying to keep their shit hidden.
- 19:37Speaker 1: It's just really weird. We talked about it a little
- 19:41Speaker 1: bit already, but there's a whole part of the documentary
- 19:44Speaker 1: that's just like road trip footage. Yes, and it's the
- 19:47Speaker 1: kind of thing like I would watch this from Nirvana
- 19:52Speaker 1: in the nineties, like I would watch I would watch
- 19:55Speaker 1: a road documentary about Stone Temple pilots. Right, I don't
- 20:00Speaker 1: give a shit about Alex Jones getting to Bohemian Grove,
- 20:05Speaker 1: but he seems to think I really, really, really give
- 20:08Speaker 1: a shit. And this is the part where it also
- 20:12Speaker 1: really felt blair Witch Project eat to me, right.
- 20:16Speaker 3: Yeah, because there's the whole prolog. Although the prologue in
- 20:18Speaker 3: blair Witch is like fifteen minutes, it's very short.
- 20:21Speaker 1: But also there were scenes in blair Witch Project that
- 20:24Speaker 1: are so similar to this where it's like, oh, sure,
- 20:27Speaker 1: oh you know this is just like off the cuff
- 20:30Speaker 1: banter and we're just talking in a motel room and
- 20:34Speaker 1: like can you believe you you found this footage and
- 20:37Speaker 1: then it's gonna build up to this amazing thing. And
- 20:40Speaker 1: it's like with blair Witch it worked, and with this
- 20:43Speaker 1: it doesn't, like.
- 20:44Speaker 3: Well, sure it's a good movie, when also it's fake.
- 20:49Speaker 1: It's fake. Yeah. But also if you remember how blair
- 20:51Speaker 1: Witch was sold, I do.
- 20:53Speaker 3: Yeah, it was.
- 20:54Speaker 1: Sold as if it wasn't fake, like they right, there was.
- 20:57Speaker 3: Like a minute where people were like, oh, is it real?
- 21:00Speaker 1: And that's a thing that carried on with found footage movies.
- 21:03Speaker 1: My favorite Apollo, Yeah, is it Apollo nineteen or Apollo eighteen?
- 21:08Speaker 3: It's Apollo eighteen, and show some damn respect for the
- 21:11Speaker 3: fallen astronauts of Apollo eighteen who.
- 21:15Speaker 1: Died by way of rock spiders Moon Rock Spiders.
- 21:19Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, moon rocks, which are spiders. We all know
- 21:22Speaker 3: this historical record.
- 21:24Speaker 1: If you look into the promotion behind that movie, they
- 21:28Speaker 1: were still are they.
- 21:30Speaker 3: Did they do an RG for that? Well that they were.
- 21:33Speaker 1: There were people who were like, no, this is found
- 21:35Speaker 1: footage baby, and it's like there are actors on IMDb,
- 21:40Speaker 1: like we know.
- 21:41Speaker 3: The CGI in it. It's the rocks Moonrock Spiders.
- 21:45Speaker 1: No, but that was absolutely stage of Moon Rock Spiders.
- 21:48Speaker 3: That movie came out in like twenty thirteen. They think
- 21:51Speaker 3: people are still buying the found footage thing. I didn't
- 21:54Speaker 3: know about that. It was a little.
- 21:56Speaker 1: Earlier than that. It was. It was earlier than that
- 21:58Speaker 1: I saw it. It was South Dakota. Yeah, I lived
- 22:01Speaker 1: in South Dakota when I saw it, so and I
- 22:03Speaker 1: moved to LA in twenty eleven.
- 22:05Speaker 3: So huh, I thought I thought that was like a
- 22:08Speaker 3: twenty tens classic. Uh, twenty oh eleven, twenty eleven.
- 22:13Speaker 1: Yeah, there you go. There you go right near two
- 22:16Speaker 1: years off tail end of my time in South Dakota.
- 22:18Speaker 3: But like Cloverfield had come out already, we've had the
- 22:23Speaker 3: big we found footage by now. Yeah, but this is
- 22:28Speaker 3: this was two thousand.
- 22:29Speaker 1: This is just a year removed from the Blair Witch project. Sure,
- 22:33Speaker 1: and I've but also much of like the camera work,
- 22:37Speaker 1: like it's so reminiscent of that movie.
- 22:41Speaker 3: I had to have been on their minds. Like there's
- 22:44Speaker 3: no way that it was. And I'm sure that it
- 22:46Speaker 3: was an influence. But also like even if they did
- 22:49Speaker 3: kind of use that to sell, Like I don't know
- 22:51Speaker 3: how well this sold. I don't know how widely widely
- 22:55Speaker 3: spread this was. Like I just kind of stumbled upon it,
- 22:57Speaker 3: and like I tried to log it on letterbox, and
- 23:00Speaker 3: it's not on letter box, so and like everything is
- 23:07Speaker 3: on letter but there are some TV shows on letterbox.
- 23:10Speaker 1: You can be the pilgrims of Dark Sea. Gass, did
- 23:15Speaker 1: you say dark Secrets?
- 23:17Speaker 3: I was wondering I did. I looked at I looked
- 23:19Speaker 3: and I found and I looked what I did was
- 23:21Speaker 3: I looked up Scanner Darkly because I couldn't find it
- 23:24Speaker 3: by searching for Dark Secrets. So I looked up a
- 23:26Speaker 3: Scanner Darkly and found Alex Jones in the cast. And
- 23:30Speaker 3: I went to his like page and like tried to
- 23:33Speaker 3: find it in his credits, and it wasn't there. He
- 23:36Speaker 3: doesn't have many credits.
- 23:37Speaker 1: Go figure, Yeah, I know. And so this documentary is
- 23:41Speaker 1: all building up to showing us something called the Cremation
- 23:45Speaker 1: of Care ceremony. Alex Jones keeps bringing it up, and like,
- 23:50Speaker 1: at least that part I appreciate. That is something I
- 23:54Speaker 1: would expect I'd never see.
- 23:56Speaker 3: And the festival itself, like the the.
- 23:59Speaker 1: Like it's essentially easily the opening night ceremony of the
- 24:05Speaker 1: Illuminatis Fuck Olympics.
- 24:07Speaker 3: Yeah, it's very Eyes Wide Shut, which also was a
- 24:10Speaker 3: recent film.
- 24:13Speaker 1: It's the thing people always talk about when it comes
- 24:16Speaker 1: to Bohemian Grove.
- 24:17Speaker 2: Is all they worship, this giant owl.
- 24:20Speaker 1: And I appreciate the documentary for at least doing that,
- 24:24Speaker 1: for letting me see video of that entire thing.
- 24:30Speaker 3: It is inherently important. I am glad that he did this,
- 24:35Speaker 3: Like it's the only positive thing that Alex Jones has
- 24:38Speaker 3: ever done.
- 24:39Speaker 1: Probably it might be yeah, like that, this is probably
- 24:46Speaker 1: his greatest accomplishment.
- 24:49Speaker 3: Being what other competition is that there's so little anti
- 24:53Speaker 3: semitism in this. I mean it's there, there's just not
- 24:56Speaker 3: as much as you would do.
- 24:57Speaker 1: But it really got to dig for it. You gotta
- 24:59Speaker 1: be a anti semitism fanboy to spot it all. You know.
- 25:04Speaker 3: It's packed way more into the BBC the Channel four
- 25:08Speaker 3: documentary because it's like a shorter day. Sure, so it's
- 25:11Speaker 3: all it's concentrated. But no that that footage is good.
- 25:14Speaker 3: And I enjoyed the random man on the street stuff.
- 25:18Speaker 3: I thought that was pretty funny. There was some good
- 25:22Speaker 3: he got some good like NorCal hippie types, which was
- 25:26Speaker 3: pretty fun. They would do a dispensary.
- 25:29Speaker 1: Yeah, there's he does a bunch of men on the
- 25:31Speaker 1: street stuff, and he's in classic Bill Hicks form. He's
- 25:35Speaker 1: cracking I mean Alex Jones form. He's cracking jokes. But
- 25:40Speaker 1: also I don't know what he's expecting. This is where
- 25:44Speaker 1: all of the world's elites go to gather once a
- 25:48Speaker 1: year to let out all of their most carnal desires. Yeah,
- 25:53Speaker 1: and he's just asking random town folk about what happens there.
- 25:58Speaker 1: That's like going to the Aple center and asking a
- 26:01Speaker 1: concession worker who the Lakers are starting tonight. They don't
- 26:07Speaker 1: know that. Why would they know? They have? It doesn't
- 26:10Speaker 1: matter that they're in the same building, might be in
- 26:13Speaker 1: different worlds.
- 26:15Speaker 3: Yeah, a couple of times he talks to people who
- 26:17Speaker 3: used to work there, and he's he acts surprised that
- 26:21Speaker 3: they don't want to talk about it, Like I wouldn't
- 26:24Speaker 3: fucking talk about it. Are you kidding me? If I
- 26:26Speaker 3: fucking worked at the crazy super rich sex resort like
- 26:32Speaker 3: in the middle of the goddamn woods where I see
- 26:35Speaker 3: like old men walking around naked a whole time. Like,
- 26:38Speaker 3: I'm not gonna fucking talk about that shit. I know
- 26:40Speaker 3: they'll fucking murder me. I'm nobody.
- 26:43Speaker 1: Not just that, but people talk about how big of
- 26:46Speaker 1: an employer Bohemia is. Yes, so that guy probably just
- 26:50Speaker 1: wants to keep his options of maybe working there during
- 26:54Speaker 1: their next bacchanalia or whatever. The fuck.
- 26:57Speaker 3: I'm sure you gotta keep your mouth shut. Yeah, I mean, like,
- 26:59Speaker 3: I don't like it. I don't like this gathering, but
- 27:02Speaker 3: I know how the world works, and so I understand
- 27:06Speaker 3: that it's going to be kind of exclusive and secretive,
- 27:09Speaker 3: and he.
- 27:10Speaker 1: Keeps talking about the cremation of care, and he makes
- 27:13Speaker 1: it seem like this really dark and almost satanic thing.
- 27:20Speaker 1: And I won't deny that if you dig into the
- 27:24Speaker 1: roots of it, it's not like the best, but like
- 27:27Speaker 1: if you dig into the roots of Halloween, it's like
- 27:30Speaker 1: kind of satanic. My problem is he keeps pointing at
- 27:33Speaker 1: all this symbology and he's like, well, there's.
- 27:36Speaker 2: A dead body on the program.
- 27:39Speaker 1: He's like, I've been to oz Fest, Like there's some things.
- 27:44Speaker 2: Yeah, there's a program.
- 27:46Speaker 3: How many fucking satanic rituals you know of? Remember the
- 27:50Speaker 3: ending of Rosemary's Baby where they got her a playbill.
- 27:55Speaker 1: Yeah, there's a program for this event.
- 27:58Speaker 3: Like, yeah, there's like people there.
- 28:00Speaker 1: It really seems like this worshiping of the owl thing
- 28:04Speaker 1: that everyone makes such a big deal out of is
- 28:08Speaker 1: just this kind of dorky thing where every year some
- 28:12Speaker 1: poor loser is in charge of putting on the burning
- 28:16Speaker 1: of the Owl ceremony and everyone just fucks sex workers
- 28:21Speaker 1: for two weeks and goes yes, and then goes back
- 28:24Speaker 1: thinking about how to ruin the world. Like it seems
- 28:28Speaker 1: like Opening Night. Shit, it seems like music festival.
- 28:32Speaker 3: Shit, absolutely, it's it is so dorky. Once we actually
- 28:37Speaker 3: get to the get to the thing itself, it's so dorky.
- 28:40Speaker 1: There's a scene in the documentary when the owl finally
- 28:44Speaker 1: bursts into flames. You can hear someone go, well, that's
- 28:46Speaker 1: pretty Yeah, it's like a owl fucking how all this?
- 28:51Speaker 1: If there's a guy in the back like, oh my god,
- 28:53Speaker 1: I'm gonna do that at Fourth of July next year,
- 28:55Speaker 1: that's crazy.
- 28:56Speaker 3: Well, she's watching it in a proud across the lake
- 29:02Speaker 3: with a bunch of people. It's a Mormon's robes. Yeah,
- 29:08Speaker 3: who are just you know, like the guy that they
- 29:10Speaker 3: see who tries to tell him how to get in,
- 29:12Speaker 3: like lawyer Rick is like, yeah, dress preppy and no
- 29:16Speaker 3: one will really notice you. The mood is not young.
- 29:19Speaker 3: It's not like it's not a young it's like, yeah,
- 29:23Speaker 3: probably not liked.
- 29:26Speaker 1: And this is clearly an event where people who make
- 29:31Speaker 1: the highest level decisions in the world are supposed to
- 29:36Speaker 1: come to like let loose. I don't doubt that it
- 29:40Speaker 1: takes a pretty visually stunning ritual to get that into
- 29:44Speaker 1: their heads. Yeah, but otherwise they're gonna be on their
- 29:48Speaker 1: fucking BlackBerry it's two thousand, Like, of course they're gonna
- 29:52Speaker 1: still be making deals and shit, but you gotta burn
- 29:56Speaker 1: an owl to get these motherfuckers out of their shell
- 30:00Speaker 1: so they can decide what governments to topple in the
- 30:03Speaker 1: next twelve months.
- 30:04Speaker 3: Yeah, And like Alex and his like buddy Mike, who
- 30:07Speaker 3: are the two guys who actually go into the growth.
- 30:11Speaker 3: They keep calling everything satanic, and they like keep saying
- 30:15Speaker 3: that everything is a reference to like the Devil and
- 30:19Speaker 3: some shit. But we're talking about a place where all
- 30:23Speaker 3: of the biggest Christo fascists through how American history have
- 30:28Speaker 3: come to hang out. It is very clearly a Christian play,
- 30:33Speaker 3: but like it's old timey, and like Alex Jones and
- 30:36Speaker 3: like his buddy are like evangelists, so they don't recognize
- 30:39Speaker 3: the old timey Protestant Christianity.
- 30:42Speaker 1: And he keeps talking about all the satanic stuff. And
- 30:46Speaker 1: then at one point he shows a skull that's on
- 30:49Speaker 1: a sign over like an entrance into the forest, and he's.
- 30:52Speaker 2: Like, this is the only skull we found.
- 30:55Speaker 3: He's like, all right, well, skeat, like, well this place,
- 30:58Speaker 3: I think he saw others, but he didn't get video.
- 31:01Speaker 1: Oh sure, Oh yeah, that's a that's a thing. We
- 31:04Speaker 1: get a lot where he's like, here's here's video of
- 31:07Speaker 1: where people take sun tans. But also, yeah, there was
- 31:10Speaker 1: a bank of television screens of wires going into the book.
- 31:13Speaker 3: He in the in the in the British thing, he
- 31:17Speaker 3: mentions two old guys walking around naked who are like, hey,
- 31:21Speaker 3: why don't we pee here? And then they just pee
- 31:24Speaker 3: right where they're standing. Like that's the kind of braved
- 31:27Speaker 3: activities that he can think of that he saw that
- 31:30Speaker 3: didn't he didn't capture. But I'm like, yeah, that's gross.
- 31:34Speaker 1: Someone ship on the side of the building where I'm
- 31:37Speaker 1: recording this podcast right now.
- 31:39Speaker 3: Yep, I've watched I watched a person take a ship
- 31:43Speaker 3: on the sidewalk in front of me.
- 31:45Speaker 1: Yeah. Once, it's crazy to think about how both of
- 31:48Speaker 1: those people were in the Illuminati.
- 31:51Speaker 3: Nuts, absolutely nuts. Yeah, I'm just like, I guess that's
- 31:56Speaker 3: I mean, that's gross. But again, it's creepier than it
- 31:59Speaker 3: might be. Henry Kissinger's it's weird.
- 32:03Speaker 1: That part's weird. That's part yeah you mentioned already. He
- 32:08Speaker 1: breaks this documentary into sections. One of them is called
- 32:11Speaker 1: the Red Coats, and I still have no idea what
- 32:13Speaker 1: that section was actually about. But then that is the Brits.
- 32:16Speaker 3: That's when he's meeting the British people. That's why they're
- 32:19Speaker 3: the red coats because.
- 32:21Speaker 1: Oh, that's all, that's all, that's all.
- 32:23Speaker 3: Okay, that's it.
- 32:24Speaker 1: Wow. Uh. And then that goes into a section called
- 32:29Speaker 1: the locals and again yeah, this is this is his
- 32:33Speaker 1: man on the street stuff. It's so silly because again,
- 32:39Speaker 1: these people live where Bohemian Grove is. I used to
- 32:42Speaker 1: live very for for about six months. I lived within
- 32:47Speaker 1: pissing distance of the UN, and I cannot tell you
- 32:51Speaker 1: thing the first about what goes on inside the UN
- 32:55Speaker 1: other than what makes it out to the rest of
- 32:58Speaker 1: the world. I have no insider knowledge about the UN
- 33:02Speaker 1: despite my close proximity. Neither do these people. Like he
- 33:06Speaker 1: finds one guy with dreadlocks who's like, I heard it's
- 33:09Speaker 1: rich white dudes with prostitutes, and I'm like, yep, that's
- 33:13Speaker 1: probably it.
- 33:13Speaker 3: Yes, most people are like, I guess I've heard of that.
- 33:16Speaker 3: I don't know, I mean, and then he has to
- 33:18Speaker 3: like probably be like, wouldn't you be mad if you
- 33:20Speaker 3: found out that this was happening? And like he like
- 33:23Speaker 3: talks to this guy who looks like, oh, you know
- 33:26Speaker 3: you probably you were you were probably too old there
- 33:28Speaker 3: for watch a Goofy movie, but probably yeah, Goofy's kid
- 33:33Speaker 3: has has like a friend named Bobby Zimeruski, and and
- 33:38Speaker 3: he looks just like I'm gonna actually, I'm gonna say
- 33:41Speaker 3: a picture. He looks just like one of the guys
- 33:44Speaker 3: that he that he interviews in this piece. It's funny.
- 33:47Speaker 3: I just couldn't stop thinking about it.
- 33:49Speaker 1: Oh yeah, oh oh yeah that guy for guy remember him.
- 33:54Speaker 3: Yes, voiced by Polly Short, because yeah.
- 33:56Speaker 1: He's got those glasses. I like the guy who looks
- 34:00Speaker 1: it's like Jimmy Chamberlain from Smashing Pumpkins, who he's the
- 34:03Speaker 1: last guy he interviews, who's like.
- 34:05Speaker 3: The last guy.
- 34:06Speaker 1: It's satanic. They're building that, like it's like watching someone
- 34:12Speaker 1: confess to a crime they didn't commit. Like Alex Jones
- 34:17Speaker 1: is just feeding him the details and this guy's feeding
- 34:20Speaker 1: him back, and it's like.
- 34:22Speaker 3: Watching someone get radicalized, like in real time, like because
- 34:29Speaker 3: he is clearly already kind of just a stodgy Christian guy.
- 34:33Speaker 3: And then Alex Jones just keeps pushing and be like,
- 34:36Speaker 3: well what about this? Don't you think this sucks what
- 34:38Speaker 3: about this isn't this fucked up?
- 34:40Speaker 1: Like?
- 34:40Speaker 3: What about this? Isn't that satanic? And then the guy's finally,
- 34:43Speaker 3: I mean like, yeah, that's fucking gross. Fuck that place.
- 34:47Speaker 1: You could use one adjective to describe the satanic activity,
- 34:51Speaker 1: what would it be? Guys like, uh, satanic? I think, Wow,
- 34:55Speaker 1: what amazing? Yeah, it's yeah, it's insane.
- 34:58Speaker 3: He's very just eventure this documentary, I will say, oh,
- 35:02Speaker 3: except not his Jesse's chiller slightly, especially the.
- 35:05Speaker 1: Part at the end where he's like, we're going to
- 35:07Speaker 1: confront George Bush. I'm like, I bet you're not. I
- 35:11Speaker 1: bet you're not.
- 35:11Speaker 3: No, bet no, probably not.
- 35:13Speaker 1: So finally we get to D Day, and that is
- 35:18Speaker 1: Alex Jones's term for the day he finally infiltrates Bohemian Grove,
- 35:25Speaker 1: just like D Day, same historical significance, and so of
- 35:31Speaker 1: course it opens with the scene of him shaving, because
- 35:35Speaker 1: this is the Blair Witch Project Part two right.
- 35:38Speaker 3: Well, and just like the real D Day. Immediately beforehand,
- 35:43Speaker 3: a bunch of British people tell the American well, why
- 35:46Speaker 3: don't you go on ahead and we'll like film you.
- 35:52Speaker 1: I also, this was the part where I had that
- 35:56Speaker 1: thought like Okay, if this was really Alex jo Owes
- 36:00Speaker 1: infiltrating Bohemian Grove. This is the part in the movie
- 36:05Speaker 1: where the Feds kicked the hotel door in, right, because
- 36:08Speaker 1: they're not just gonna let that. That's what I loved
- 36:12Speaker 1: about the Storm Area fifty one thing where people were like, right,
- 36:16Speaker 1: they can't shoot all of us? The fuck they can't. Yeah,
- 36:19Speaker 1: of course they can shoot you all, and they will.
- 36:23Speaker 3: This is the American military we're talking about. Yeah, they
- 36:26Speaker 3: could start shooting today and never stop. Ever, it just
- 36:31Speaker 3: wouldn't end.
- 36:32Speaker 1: And the fact that Alex Jones got to do all
- 36:35Speaker 1: this build up and then manages to infiltrate Bohemian Grove,
- 36:39Speaker 1: it feels like either the government wanted him there or
- 36:43Speaker 1: Bohemian Grove isn't as big of a deal as people
- 36:46Speaker 1: make it out to be.
- 36:47Speaker 3: And I think it's the latter. I do too more
- 36:50Speaker 3: than anything, and like but also much like Jesse Ventura,
- 36:55Speaker 3: how like his idea of infiltrating is he literally basically
- 36:59Speaker 3: just walked in the front entrance. Conversely, the best part
- 37:02Speaker 3: of the British documentary is where there's like a several
- 37:05Speaker 3: minutes of them doing preppy role play where they like
- 37:08Speaker 3: pretend to have like preppy conversations.
- 37:11Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't trust it. Yeah, the fact that they
- 37:15Speaker 1: get in just by showing up at the gate and
- 37:18Speaker 1: being like we're members.
- 37:20Speaker 3: Right, Well, I think they was snuff past the gate.
- 37:23Speaker 3: I think they snuck past the gate like the guards.
- 37:26Speaker 3: But like, I do fully believe that if you were
- 37:30Speaker 3: inside that place, if you look like you fit in,
- 37:34Speaker 3: like if you were dressed like an asshole and like
- 37:38Speaker 3: just you know, we're old or whatever and white or whatever,
- 37:41Speaker 3: I bet you could pass yourself off and be like, yeah,
- 37:45Speaker 3: I'm with the you know. He talks about how he
- 37:47Speaker 3: says that he was with the bushes from the Hillbilly
- 37:51Speaker 3: Camp because apparently that's the name of the camp where
- 37:53Speaker 3: the bushes stay. Oh there, and so he's like, well,
- 37:57Speaker 3: you know, we've got the Texas accents, so we'll just
- 37:59Speaker 3: say we're bush and you know what, if they look
- 38:02Speaker 3: the part, I bet that would not I bet that
- 38:04Speaker 3: would be fine most of the time.
- 38:06Speaker 1: Yeah. All the footage of him sneaking in is incredibly dull.
- 38:12Speaker 3: Yes, Like this is this is the.
- 38:14Speaker 1: Point where it really feels Blair witchy because it's just
- 38:18Speaker 1: shaky camera footage of people walking through the woods.
- 38:21Speaker 3: Yeah, it's very lucky. They're lucky that they've got to
- 38:24Speaker 3: payoff at the end, because yeah, I feel like there
- 38:27Speaker 3: are a lot of these kind of someone you know,
- 38:32Speaker 3: went out to find crazy footage of something, you know,
- 38:35Speaker 3: like all those shows about Bigfoot and shit, where there's
- 38:38Speaker 3: no payoff. There can't be because Bigfoot isn't real, and
- 38:42Speaker 3: so you know, at least this thing is real. That's
- 38:45Speaker 3: the that's what it's got going for it.
- 38:47Speaker 1: Yeah, there's a part where he talks about being approached
- 38:52Speaker 1: by a sheriff's deputy. Yes, and conveniently it's right after
- 38:56Speaker 1: they turn their cameras off, and it's like, well, these
- 38:59Speaker 1: are hidden cameras turn him back on. Yeah, and he
- 39:03Speaker 1: talks about how they saw a bank of television screens
- 39:07Speaker 1: with wires that disappeared into the forest, but they didn't
- 39:11Speaker 1: video any of that.
- 39:12Speaker 3: No, although I will say, like I was very I
- 39:15Speaker 3: didn't understand why he was shocked that there might be
- 39:19Speaker 3: security cameras in this resort for the rich and famous.
- 39:24Speaker 3: Like maybe it kind of makes sense.
- 39:27Speaker 1: It's the same thing as when Jesse Ventura was driving
- 39:30Speaker 1: around where the builder Berg group meets. He's like why
- 39:34Speaker 1: am I being followed? And it's like you're at the
- 39:37Speaker 1: Builderberg Group, right, Yeah, Like there are bank executives in
- 39:42Speaker 1: the United States, so you can't follow home from work
- 39:46Speaker 1: without getting followed yourself.
- 39:48Speaker 3: You know, most people don't like being followed, and rich
- 39:51Speaker 3: people can do something about it.
- 39:52Speaker 1: Yeah. People hate it.
- 39:54Speaker 3: That's they'll avoid it. Yeah.
- 39:57Speaker 1: Yeah, it's it's crazy if you didn't.
- 40:01Speaker 3: Neither of us are saying that nothing about this is sketchy.
- 40:04Speaker 3: It's just that it's not confusing in the way that
- 40:07Speaker 3: it seems like Alex Joes is shocked by things.
- 40:10Speaker 1: My thing about Bohemian Grove is it's obviously sketchy. I
- 40:16Speaker 1: don't love the roots of it. I don't love the
- 40:18Speaker 1: origins of it. But it's also when it comes to
- 40:22Speaker 1: the world's most powerful people, their fucking fire festival is
- 40:26Speaker 1: the least of our concerns.
- 40:28Speaker 3: Yeah, there's Davos and Builderberg Group and all of these
- 40:33Speaker 3: things that are the same kind of stuff.
- 40:35Speaker 1: And the bigger problem even than all of that is
- 40:39Speaker 1: the decisions that come out of those meetings, right, and
- 40:42Speaker 1: how they're implemented on the world stage. I don't care
- 40:45Speaker 1: how much fucking they're doing at bohemian grove.
- 40:49Speaker 3: Like, I don't mean about Henry Kissinger fucking I'm sorry.
- 40:52Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean if there's like sex trafficking happening, which
- 40:55Speaker 1: I'm sure there is probably, I would like that to
- 40:59Speaker 1: not be a thing.
- 41:01Speaker 3: Yes, Also, I don't really think if there is, I
- 41:04Speaker 3: doubt any of the rich and powerful people know or
- 41:07Speaker 3: have anything to do with it directly, you know what
- 41:10Speaker 3: I mean? Like, right, they're not They're there to burn
- 41:13Speaker 3: their cares and not think about the things that they do.
- 41:16Speaker 1: They are there to burn an effigy of dull care,
- 41:19Speaker 1: which is what they are care exactly.
- 41:22Speaker 3: It's it's so weird. It's very weird, but it's also
- 41:25Speaker 3: super dorky and super Christian. Like That's what I kept
- 41:30Speaker 3: coming to is like this just feels like church, but
- 41:34Speaker 3: also like a summer camp. It's like when you do,
- 41:36Speaker 3: like a summer camp, play about your camps founding, but
- 41:42Speaker 3: instead it's this.
- 41:44Speaker 1: Back to not trusting Alex Jones. Sure, I'm supposed to
- 41:48Speaker 1: believe that he couldn't walk through the woods with his
- 41:54Speaker 1: video equipment out without being questioned. But at the most
- 41:58Speaker 1: important moment of the night, when lit to relate everyone
- 42:03Speaker 1: who's there is all gathered in one place. He gets
- 42:07Speaker 1: like a half hour of uninterrupted footage. No one says anything,
- 42:12Speaker 1: it's shitty footage, but no, no one. There's cameras in
- 42:19Speaker 1: these woods, right, and none of them saw him because
- 42:23Speaker 1: he's like zooming in and out.
- 42:25Speaker 3: He's like, well, okay, I can actually explain some to this,
- 42:28Speaker 3: and again we might have to do a part two
- 42:30Speaker 3: of this. BBC channel fourth keep saying BBC because I'm
- 42:34Speaker 3: American and I just keep thinking of British TV as BBC.
- 42:38Speaker 3: But they go into that a lot. He fucking cut
- 42:41Speaker 3: a hole in a bag and had the camera in
- 42:44Speaker 3: the bag, and like he talks about like carrying like
- 42:48Speaker 3: this under his arm. Uh. And then again there's that
- 42:53Speaker 3: patri camp and all of the zooms and stuff are posts,
- 42:55Speaker 3: they're added. I'm not again, I'm not saying he has
- 42:59Speaker 3: no not making excuses for Alex joke, but I am
- 43:02Speaker 3: saying I think he actually did this, and like or
- 43:08Speaker 3: at least.
- 43:08Speaker 1: No, I don't doubt that he filmed it, like obviously
- 43:11Speaker 1: filmed it.
- 43:12Speaker 3: No, I mean, and like he did sneak in even
- 43:15Speaker 3: if he maybe had some help that he didn't know about,
- 43:18Speaker 3: or was it really thinking about but like nothing tripped
- 43:22Speaker 3: my this didn't happen Radar, No, I am.
- 43:26Speaker 1: I just don't think. I don't believe he wasn't invited.
- 43:31Speaker 3: Sure, I don't think he sneak in.
- 43:33Speaker 1: I think he made a movie making it seem like
- 43:37Speaker 1: he snuck in.
- 43:38Speaker 3: But there is evidence of another side of that also,
- 43:42Speaker 3: like we have other material that we can we can
- 43:45Speaker 3: get to, but like I don't know. This is now,
- 43:48Speaker 3: this is like a mystery. But like, yeah he he
- 43:53Speaker 3: if he, I don't I'm not saying he wasn't invited
- 43:56Speaker 3: or like that they didn't know that he was gonna
- 43:58Speaker 3: be there or whatever, But I don't necessarily think that.
- 44:02Speaker 3: I think he thinks he's just even jurying it. I
- 44:05Speaker 3: think he really thinks that he just got in. And
- 44:08Speaker 3: it's like fine, yeah he might, that's it. I just
- 44:12Speaker 3: as far as how he got in, I don't know.
- 44:14Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know.
- 44:16Speaker 3: Yeah, I bet this Rick guy was like a if
- 44:18Speaker 3: this Rick guy that they that was their source was
- 44:21Speaker 3: a plant or whatever like that, that would be just
- 44:24Speaker 3: as much of an explanation.
- 44:26Speaker 1: The footage of the ceremony itself is cool. I mean,
- 44:30Speaker 1: I guess is cool even the right word. No, It
- 44:33Speaker 1: feels like the kind of thing where like imagine you're
- 44:37Speaker 1: dating someone who's really rich and they're like, hm, hmmm,
- 44:41Speaker 1: will you come to this thing with me tonight, Like
- 44:44Speaker 1: it's a thing my family goes to every year.
- 44:47Speaker 3: Yes, we can have lots of fun.
- 44:48Speaker 1: It's just that on night one, they're gonna do this
- 44:52Speaker 1: dorky thing where they set a fucking owl on fire
- 44:58Speaker 1: that we fucking we play, we play ping pong, we drink.
- 45:03Speaker 3: It's a party wherever we want.
- 45:05Speaker 1: But there's this whole fucking ritual and it's gonna be dorky,
- 45:09Speaker 1: but we you just please them.
- 45:10Speaker 3: Well, at least at this point it was guys only.
- 45:13Speaker 1: Oh yeah, that's true. I think my thing stands. That's
- 45:16Speaker 1: still someone.
- 45:17Speaker 3: No, sure, no, I mean like yeah, the footage is.
- 45:22Speaker 3: It's cool that it exists. Like I'm glad that we have, Like,
- 45:27Speaker 3: like we've said before, I'm glad we have this as
- 45:29Speaker 3: like a historical document. It is so dorky though, like
- 45:33Speaker 3: the actual ceremony they do a fucking fireworks show to
- 45:38Speaker 3: in the Hall of the Mountain King, you know, like
- 45:46Speaker 3: that is dorky ship and like the fucking.
- 45:52Speaker 1: It's an elaborate fireworks display, right, is all it is?
- 45:56Speaker 1: That's it.
- 45:57Speaker 3: Yeah, it's the type of event where, for who knows
- 46:00Speaker 3: how long they did this, they would end the show
- 46:04Speaker 3: with like a jet like a ragtime song like it
- 46:08Speaker 3: was called the fuck What was the song? It was
- 46:10Speaker 3: called hot Time in the Old Town Tonight. That's the
- 46:15Speaker 3: name of the song, and like it's like literally just
- 46:18Speaker 3: a song that goes like that's how it would end.
- 46:28Speaker 2: And hello my baby, and how.
- 46:33Speaker 3: Exactly. It's so like I just can't be frightened by
- 46:38Speaker 3: it at all, Like if he was, if they were
- 46:42Speaker 3: actually sacrificing a human being, that would be obviously.
- 46:49Speaker 1: There's a part where Alex Jones does like enhanced video
- 46:54Speaker 1: at the end, and again during all of that he
- 46:58Speaker 1: goes listen to the scream that comes from the sacrifice
- 47:02Speaker 1: and it's like, okay. There's also a recording that goes.
- 47:06Speaker 2: Oh, you're trying to burn me again.
- 47:08Speaker 1: And it's like that that's that's tapes. Tapes is what
- 47:13Speaker 1: you're hearing. Walter Cronkite used to be the voice of this.
- 47:16Speaker 1: I've found that when researching this, and how much cooler
- 47:21Speaker 1: would it be if it was still him?
- 47:23Speaker 3: That would have been great? And I did kind of
- 47:26Speaker 3: John Ma right. I wish we could have seen like
- 47:30Speaker 3: at least one like really famous guy, you know, like
- 47:35Speaker 3: just like in the background, huh.
- 47:38Speaker 2: The owl with lock.
- 47:43Speaker 1: Owl backwards is whah, that's my Harry, Harry, thank you.
- 47:47Speaker 3: No, it was good. It was good. Yeah.
- 47:49Speaker 1: Bohemian Grove is a thing I've not looked into that much.
- 47:54Speaker 1: I've always assumed was pretty weird and shady, and then
- 47:59Speaker 1: against all odd seeing this documentary made me like less
- 48:03Speaker 1: concerned about it.
- 48:04Speaker 3: Yeah, I at least don't think that. I mean, it's
- 48:07Speaker 3: just again, like it's just so dorky. I just can't
- 48:10Speaker 3: be threatened by it. Like I obviously it's bad that
- 48:14Speaker 3: all of these people are so buddy buddy and like
- 48:17Speaker 3: are you know, basically getting together and choosing the course
- 48:21Speaker 3: of some world offense in like this weird place where
- 48:25Speaker 3: old men just pee on the ground. But like the
- 48:28Speaker 3: ceremony itself is not frightening at all.
- 48:32Speaker 1: Oh. I used to work for an insurance company that
- 48:36Speaker 1: was owned by the Catholic Church, and when I started
- 48:40Speaker 1: working there on the first day, they were like, oh, also,
- 48:43Speaker 1: we kick off every meeting with a prayer, and sometimes
- 48:46Speaker 1: you will be asked to lead that prayer, and in
- 48:49Speaker 1: that moment, I said, no, I won't. I'm at work.
- 48:54Speaker 1: I'm not gonna pray in meetings. This ceremony feels like
- 48:59Speaker 1: that person who gets tasked with praying to open the meeting.
- 49:04Speaker 1: They're like that, I just want to fucking come to
- 49:07Speaker 1: Bohemian Grove and you know, have sex with well kidnapped women.
- 49:14Speaker 1: But now I've been tasked with putting on the opening ceremony.
- 49:18Speaker 1: It's my year and I hate this.
- 49:21Speaker 3: You know, the camp itself is just north of San Francisco,
- 49:26Speaker 3: and Harry Shearer has talked about this that he was invited,
- 49:31Speaker 3: like someone invited him to go to Bohemian Grove once
- 49:35Speaker 3: and he was so fascinated by his experience that he
- 49:39Speaker 3: actually made a movie that I've been pitching that we
- 49:41Speaker 3: should cover, called Teddy Bear's Picnic.
- 49:45Speaker 1: I'm all for it.
- 49:45Speaker 3: And he has said like he says, like he went
- 49:49Speaker 3: with someone who performed for the San Francisco Opera and
- 49:54Speaker 3: so like those like people from that circle are getting
- 49:57Speaker 3: invited to this thing too, is like a treat, you
- 50:00Speaker 3: know what I mean. And so I imagine that's the
- 50:03Speaker 3: type of person who they're picking to like also do
- 50:06Speaker 3: this ceremony. It's got real theater kid energy.
- 50:10Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, the ceremony for this one didn't. It had
- 50:15Speaker 1: like a director credit.
- 50:16Speaker 3: Yes on the on the on the program, on the
- 50:19Speaker 3: program the bond director ry below the burning dead body.
- 50:23Speaker 4: So like, how again, if they're handing out programs, yeah,
- 50:28Speaker 4: how fucking I bet we can go on eBay and
- 50:31Speaker 4: buy a Bohemian Grove program A.
- 50:34Speaker 3: Program I bet, I bet it is like four phone
- 50:39Speaker 3: calls max for one of us to get into Bohemian
- 50:43Speaker 3: Grove to see the opening.
- 50:44Speaker 1: Yeah, it's probably like Club thirty three at Disney, where
- 50:47Speaker 1: it's like, yeah, like if you give us ten grand,
- 50:50Speaker 1: you can come in obviously.
- 50:51Speaker 3: Exactly if you know somebody, if you know who knows
- 50:54Speaker 3: somebody or whatever, like as long as you fit in.
- 50:58Speaker 3: Like I think that's the That was the biggest takeaway
- 51:01Speaker 3: I had from all of this is that like everybody
- 51:04Speaker 3: there's basically the same guy. And I'll just repeated over
- 51:08Speaker 3: and over again. But like when you're able to see
- 51:11Speaker 3: more of the area around where they were filming the ceremony,
- 51:15Speaker 3: they're just in a crowd of people like watching fireworks.
- 51:18Speaker 3: Like it just was like a normal crowd. It didn't
- 51:23Speaker 3: feel like that, Like you feel like the really famous
- 51:27Speaker 3: people are probably have their own separate viewing area for
- 51:31Speaker 3: you know, I bet there's still a like a class
- 51:35Speaker 3: strata within the hyper.
- 51:39Speaker 1: There's a VI resort, sure, right, there has.
- 51:43Speaker 3: To be otherwise hyb so rich.
- 51:47Speaker 1: And there's I looked it up on eBay. There is
- 51:50Speaker 1: so much Bohemian Grove merch. Yeah, are t shirts, there
- 51:54Speaker 1: are security badges nineteen eighty Bohemian Grove staff ID thirty dollars.
- 52:01Speaker 3: Yes, that's the thing is, it's not really a secret.
- 52:05Speaker 3: That's what's so weird about the whole Bohemian Grove thing.
- 52:08Speaker 3: And I will never not find it fascinating no matter
- 52:11Speaker 3: what it actually is. But like it really is just
- 52:14Speaker 3: it just seems like no one really makes a big
- 52:17Speaker 3: deal out of it. They're just like, yeah, we like
- 52:20Speaker 3: put on performances and we hang out and it's just
- 52:22Speaker 3: about chilling.
- 52:23Speaker 1: I'm gonna buy this Bohemian Club Grove Sesqua Centennial banner.
- 52:29Speaker 1: It says Bohemian Grove eighteen seventy two to twenty twenty two,
- 52:34Speaker 1: one hundred and fifty years, and on the bottom it
- 52:37Speaker 1: says weaving Spiders come not here. And it is twenty
- 52:43Speaker 1: two dollars and there are three available. Do we both
- 52:47Speaker 1: want one of these for our respective homes? Because I
- 52:52Speaker 1: will buy that before we even end this podcast without
- 52:57Speaker 1: you even answering me. Hell yeah, I'm not gonna not
- 53:02Speaker 1: have a Bohemian grove. And then it could be a
- 53:05Speaker 1: natsy thing. But it doesn't seem.
- 53:07Speaker 3: That's great, that's crazy. I bet it's real. It's happened
- 53:10Speaker 3: already this year. It happened. But they also have other ones.
- 53:13Speaker 3: That's what's really fun. Like the summer one is the
- 53:15Speaker 3: one that gets all the attention, but apparently they do
- 53:18Speaker 3: it in the spring two or at least they do
- 53:20Speaker 3: something similar. It's a business. It's like a place where
- 53:24Speaker 3: people work and they have to pay people.
- 53:27Speaker 1: Yeah, it's not I yeah, I really didn't expect that
- 53:31Speaker 1: outcome right from this documentary, But Alex Jones made me
- 53:37Speaker 1: feel a whole lot better about Bohemian Grove.
- 53:41Speaker 3: He made a case maybe that was what his overseers wanted, right,
- 53:46Speaker 3: they wanted us to be like, No, this is actually cool.
- 53:49Speaker 3: I actually, to be clear, I don't think it's cool.
- 53:53Speaker 3: I want to be very clear.
- 53:54Speaker 1: I mean you've made it pretty clear that you think
- 53:57Speaker 1: what happens at Bohemian Groves Cool.
- 54:01Speaker 3: Well, I know, but I want to clear this up.
- 54:03Speaker 3: I really think it's very dorky, Like I think everybody
- 54:06Speaker 3: goes there is a huge loser.
- 54:09Speaker 1: Yeah, it's not that we don't sign off on their
- 54:12Speaker 1: ideas and things.
- 54:13Speaker 3: It's just no I love Moloch such nerds. I just
- 54:16Speaker 3: think it's very funny he talks about Molloch. I bet
- 54:19Speaker 3: if you said the word Carthage to fucking Alex Jones,
- 54:23Speaker 3: he wouldn't know what you were saying.
- 54:26Speaker 1: Yeah, he didn't know.
- 54:28Speaker 3: What fuck know anything about Carthage or Cubid sacrificer.
- 54:32Speaker 4: Shit.
- 54:33Speaker 1: Oh, it's not letting me order these banners. I'm gonna
- 54:36Speaker 1: get it figured out. I'm gonna get it figured out.
- 54:39Speaker 1: It's the fucking government. Work in the government.
- 54:42Speaker 3: Man. They know, they know we're talking about it.
- 54:45Speaker 1: Yeah, they know we're talking about this, but they did
- 54:48Speaker 1: not know Alex Jones was parading around for three days
- 54:52Speaker 1: in Bohemian Grove Town waiting to infiltrade.
- 54:55Speaker 3: Yeah. I mean they definitely knew he was there. He
- 54:58Speaker 3: made a lot of noise. He thought Bobby's and Ruskie
- 55:02Speaker 3: fucking went into the seven to eleven and talked to
- 55:04Speaker 3: that guy with dreads like that guy ruled.
- 55:07Speaker 1: He had the Declaration of Independence on his T shirt.
- 55:10Speaker 3: He was funny.
- 55:11Speaker 1: So I think that's our episode, right, I think so, yeah, this, well,
- 55:16Speaker 1: I guess we skipped over the part where Alex Jones
- 55:19Speaker 1: it seems like it's over, and then there's a lot.
- 55:22Speaker 3: Oh shit, yeah, we have to talk about this.
- 55:24Speaker 1: There's a Lord of the Rings moment where it seems
- 55:27Speaker 1: like the documentary's over and then just restarts and he goes.
- 55:32Speaker 2: Well, we're going to confront George Bush.
- 55:34Speaker 1: Yeah, And what he means is he's gonna stand the
- 55:38Speaker 1: legally allowed distance from where George Bush is and shouts
- 55:42Speaker 1: across the street.
- 55:43Speaker 3: But he does like he's like yeah, Like a few
- 55:46Speaker 3: weeks after they were there, or like a week after
- 55:48Speaker 3: they were there, George Bush announced his running mate was
- 55:51Speaker 3: Dick Cheney at Bohemian Growth, which is crazy. That is weird,
- 55:56Speaker 3: and it all really weird.
- 55:58Speaker 1: It buys in to my whole theory behind this documentary,
- 56:03Speaker 1: which is that this was the American government want to
- 56:07Speaker 1: instill some mistrust in the International Criminal Court because we
- 56:12Speaker 1: knew we were about to fucking wreck the Middle East.
- 56:15Speaker 1: But also you got to throw that tag on at
- 56:17Speaker 1: the end, but where Alex Jones is like.
- 56:20Speaker 2: But no, I don't like George Bush. No, that's not
- 56:22Speaker 2: what this was about.
- 56:23Speaker 3: Well he's like, that was again before the Tea Party,
- 56:28Speaker 3: Like these kinds of right wing libertarians weren't fans of
- 56:32Speaker 3: the Republicans. That's a whole again. This is like, this
- 56:36Speaker 3: is maybe the most pre nine to eleven conspiracy theory
- 56:41Speaker 3: documentary that has ever been made, because it was released
- 56:46Speaker 3: in like October of two thousand, like less than a
- 56:49Speaker 3: year before nine to eleven. So like, I can't imagine
- 56:53Speaker 3: another conspiracy theory documentary being this much just that pre
- 57:00Speaker 3: nine to eleven shit, which is so hard to remember.
- 57:03Speaker 3: Things have changed, The landscape has changed so drastically since then.
- 57:08Speaker 1: Yeah, it's an interesting document Yes, this documentary, it is.
- 57:15Speaker 1: It's worth watching. I yeah, like we we clearly have
- 57:20Speaker 1: strong feelings about it.
- 57:22Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 57:22Speaker 1: My main takeaway is still that I expected to come
- 57:26Speaker 1: away from it far more suspicious of Bohemian grove. Yeah,
- 57:30Speaker 1: and now I'm just like, yeah, whatever, it's the Fire Festival. Yes,
- 57:35Speaker 1: it's the Fire Festival. If the Fire Festival worked.
- 57:38Speaker 3: Yeah, if it was well run, yeah, yeah, it's what
- 57:40Speaker 3: Firefest wanted to be.
- 57:42Speaker 1: Yeah, there were a lot of shots, Like I went
- 57:44Speaker 1: to the Virgin Music Festival once, and there's a lot
- 57:48Speaker 1: of shots where I was like, Oh, that's what the
- 57:50Speaker 1: Virgin Music Festival looked like. It's just cut into the
- 57:53Speaker 1: side of the forest and there's like beer stands.
- 57:56Speaker 3: Right yeah, like and you know, like even that skull
- 57:59Speaker 3: sign that they that they pointed out. I'm like, we're
- 58:02Speaker 3: talking about a place that doesn't play with like Latin
- 58:05Speaker 3: and shit in it. Like these are dors, Like they
- 58:10Speaker 3: like that fucking Renaissance, you know, you put a fucking
- 58:12Speaker 3: skull in the painting in order to evoke death or whatever.
- 58:16Speaker 3: Like it's all that toity toity twitty skull and bones
- 58:21Speaker 3: shit like Ivy League whatever.
- 58:23Speaker 1: Yeah, it's it's they're LARPers, Yes, they're just like they're
- 58:28Speaker 1: LARPing as druids.
- 58:30Speaker 3: Yeah, or like pay or like like you know, bohemians,
- 58:34Speaker 3: like you know, they're like they're LARPing as people who
- 58:37Speaker 3: you know have I don't know, I don't know. It's
- 58:40Speaker 3: just weird. It's a weird thing. Would you go if
- 58:44Speaker 3: you if they invited me? No, probably not no, because
- 58:48Speaker 3: I would that would feel like a trap. Uh yeah,
- 58:50Speaker 3: if like, if I knew someone who you know, like
- 58:54Speaker 3: like the Harry Shear thing where it's like he's friends
- 58:56Speaker 3: with someone in the fucking San Francisco Opera who is like, Hey,
- 59:00Speaker 3: you want to come to see this crazy thing that
- 59:03Speaker 3: I might do. Yeah, but if I got an invitation,
- 59:06Speaker 3: then they're like, hey, you want to come check out
- 59:09Speaker 3: our bohemian grove. Come on free, imitate here why, we'll
- 59:13Speaker 3: pay for your plane. Just come on out, don't back. Yeah.
- 59:17Speaker 1: I think if I was like not me, If I
- 59:20Speaker 1: was like rich and sure, I just like started a
- 59:23Speaker 1: fucking business and now I had untold sums of money
- 59:27Speaker 1: and they invited me, then I'd go, I mean, sure
- 59:30Speaker 1: if this episode drops and then they invite me the
- 59:33Speaker 1: next day, right, I don't know.
- 59:35Speaker 3: I don't think so, I don't I definitely, Yeah. I
- 59:37Speaker 3: guess if I were a totally different person, if I
- 59:41Speaker 3: were rich, I can only imagine what an awful person
- 59:43Speaker 3: I would be.
- 59:44Speaker 1: I'd ask if I could attend via zoom socially distanced?
- 59:49Speaker 3: Do you think that was what they did in twenty
- 59:51Speaker 3: twenty Live? We need a sequel documentary, that's what we need. Yeah,
- 59:57Speaker 3: I want to find out about that.
- 59:59Speaker 1: Everyone's watching Malloch get burned. But there's just a bank
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: of TV screens with people's I have an NBA work
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: during COVID, I get it.
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: Yeah, that's great exactly.
- 1:00:11Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, they've got a little cardboard like cutouts of
- 1:00:13Speaker 3: people with like with like an iPad on.
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: The pumping in crowd noise.
- 1:00:22Speaker 3: People going oh at the firewars the banner.
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: I think there was a twenty twenty banner on EBAD.
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: We're gonna get some fucking Bohemian Grove banners. Yeah, but
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: that's coming to your home.
- 1:00:36Speaker 3: There's definitely more to say about this. Uh, we'll have
- 1:00:40Speaker 3: to keep going.
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: Well, we should do a legitimate Bohemian Grove episode about
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: like the founding of it and things of the like.
- 1:00:49Speaker 3: Yeah, but it's weird. I mean, like, but it's also weird.
- 1:00:52Speaker 3: It's weird in a rich person way. It's not weird
- 1:00:55Speaker 3: in like a satanic cult way.
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, Like have you ever been to a
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: rich person's party The food is weird?
- 1:01:03Speaker 3: Like it's yes, they don't they're not people.
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: They're not us, they're things are.
- 1:01:10Speaker 3: Like they have a totally different understanding of reality when
- 1:01:14Speaker 3: you're that wealthy like, it's just a totally different understanding.
- 1:01:18Speaker 3: I can't comprehend it.
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: Yeah, the comparison I kept coming up with in the
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: notes for Bohemian Grove, it's like Burning Man, Like, is
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: anything that happens at Burning Man any less weird than
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: what happens at Bohemian Grove. It's just that Bohemian Grove
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: is for the ultra rich and Burning Man is for
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: like the medium rich.
- 1:01:42Speaker 3: It's yeah, it's burning Man for wasps, like old rich
- 1:01:47Speaker 3: conservatives is Like, that's what it is, and it's it's
- 1:01:52Speaker 3: just as dorky and weird and as you would expect
- 1:01:56Speaker 3: from that description.
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: Yeah, the CEO of a major isn't gonna be comfortable
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: at Burning Man.
- 1:02:02Speaker 3: No, No, because that's.
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: All the lower one percent he needs to be with
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: the upper one percent.
- 1:02:10Speaker 3: You might interact with a poor person at Burning Man accidentally.
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: Well, they work there, same as Bohemian Pace.
- 1:02:17Speaker 3: This is what I'm saying, Like, but everybody works it. No,
- 1:02:21Speaker 3: that's not that's probably not true. I'm sure there are
- 1:02:23Speaker 3: poor people who work it behind me, grip.
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: I do like the part at the end where Alex
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: Jones calls George Bush a luciferian twitt.
- 1:02:33Speaker 3: Yeah, it's like twitt, Yeah, I enjoy. He's like walking
- 1:02:36Speaker 3: around Texas with like someone in a robe, a black
- 1:02:41Speaker 3: robe with a rebber George Bush mask on, and he's
- 1:02:44Speaker 3: got a bullhorn and he's like staying and he's like,
- 1:02:46Speaker 3: this is how George Bush dresses at bohemian robes.
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: Like that is gonna be the thing that people are like,
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: what there's a robe?
- 1:03:00Speaker 3: Yeah, Like he's like, but it's not like this, it's
- 1:03:03Speaker 3: more like a clan robe.
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: And it's like, man, does he You think they're making
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: George Bush participate in the burning of the owl. No,
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: he's the one standing on the other side of the water.
- 1:03:14Speaker 2: That's pretty yeah.
- 1:03:17Speaker 3: Maybe, But also he was in like skulling Bones and shit,
- 1:03:21Speaker 3: and I think for these people, like participating in the
- 1:03:25Speaker 3: ritual is part of the thing.
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: Even then, I guarantee in Sculling Bones he was the
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: guy in the back of the room going that's pretty yeah.
- 1:03:32Speaker 3: I mean, I'm sure George Bush was mostly in skull
- 1:03:35Speaker 3: and Bones to get hammered. That's basically my understanding of
- 1:03:40Speaker 3: George Bush as a young man.
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: So I think that's our episode, right, you did it?
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: I think so we got it all covered. We'll link
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: to this documentary for everyone who wants to watch it.
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: I know that's all of you, Uh, Olivia. Do we
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: have anything to plug before we get out of here?
- 1:03:56Speaker 3: Going back our lost podcast Truck and Rynal like halfway
- 1:04:02Speaker 3: through season one, so that's fun.
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: Other than that, I check that out on wherever you
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: get your bonus episodes of Conspiracy the show, and it
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: will be out for free soon so you can listen
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: to it that way too. I would like to plug
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: Adam Todd Brown dot substack dot com. I don't know
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: how many people listening to this podcast know, but I
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: started out as a writer for a website called Cracked
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: dot com and I was kind of like thrust into
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: doing podcasts for a living. And I have finally found
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: time to start writing again, so you can read my
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: writings at Adam Toddbrown dot substack dot com. I got
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: an article up about whether America is descending into fascism,
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: and here's the thing, No, we're not, No matter what
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: anyone tells you. We've been fascist this whole time, so exactly,
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: so ick all that out. I would appreciate it, and
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: I think that's it. Let's get out of here. Olivia
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: say goodbye bye, goodbye, everybody.
- 1:05:07Speaker 3: We love you, people of a found.
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: It just has to be stru
