- 2:46And Happy ride day and giveaway bike day.
- 2:50But first but first, we have the door prize.
- 2:54So what we have here is a trauma kit that Rider Justice provided
- 3:00for us. So it's a pink ticket, the one
- 3:03that you got when you registered.
- 3:13That's the one. 5 seconds, 5 seconds, 708347.
- 3:25Seriously, Let me see. Let me see, 347.
- 3:33That's so funny. So you want to ride behind him?
- 3:39He's got the trauma kit. All right, so for the moment,
- 3:48we've all been waiting for it. Jimmy, you want to come up here?
- 3:55This is my new friend Jimmy. Jimmy is a Navy SEAL, yes, and
- 4:04Jimmy is going to be getting this new bike, not new, but new
- 4:07to him. It's a Yamaha V *.
- 4:12It's a sweet bike. It's a clean bike.
- 4:13It runs really great, and I hope that it gets you in the wind and
- 4:17I hope it's a source of peace for you.
- 4:21So let me take the keys out and give them to you.
- 4:36So I think I heard three times when I came in the bar was when
- 4:39therapy heard it over and over. This is something I would have
- 4:42ever done for myself. I got out after 20 years and 12
- 4:46deployments in 2022 and kind of. And.
- 4:51Had a little issue with transition so this is going to
- 4:54provide that freedom. I missed I I used to have a bike
- 4:5714 years ago. I got shot in the back and had
- 4:59to readdress some things. Kept my head down and kept
- 5:02going. 10 more deployments kind of put me in a weird mental
- 5:07spot. So super excited for this one
- 5:09therapy you're all telling me about and get back on the horse.
- 5:11So appreciate you guys very much.
- 5:13Super humble to be here all. Right.
- 5:51Yeah. Alright, so we were gonna have
- 6:02him fire it up, but I left it up here with the key on, so I'm a
- 6:05Dick. All right, so we're getting
- 6:30ready to do the and the silent auctions.
- 6:34So I know the auction is a little bit of the pain in the
- 6:37ass guys. I realized we were trying
- 6:38something new this year and maybe it's not working out so
- 6:41well, but we're going to be doing that.
- 6:44The auction closes at 4:00, so you just got to scan the item,
- 6:48the QR code, it'll come up, log in and you can bid on there.
- 6:53If we find an item that doesn't have any bids on it currently,
- 6:55we're just going to auction it off live.
- 6:58So from here, if we will go back inside and where is where's
- 7:01Jimmy? Where's the other Jimmy?
- 7:04No, the other Jimmy. You ready to auction off the
- 7:06sword? All right.
- 7:21You know what, I just wanted to tell everybody that is a part of
- 7:23the middle grade too. Thank you for welcoming into
- 7:27that family. I was in a dark part about 3
- 7:33years ago and my bike, my bike has been in the garage for three
- 7:36years collecting dust and yeah I I had given up on life on May
- 7:4622nd, 20/20/2022. May 22nd, 2022 I I try to take
- 7:55my life by taking a bunch of pills and I woke up finding out
- 7:59that what I was committing suicide over it was a
- 8:03misunderstanding and I did nothing wrong.
- 8:06But I didn't know that. And I just want to share that
- 8:09because sometimes, sometimes we take our life because we think
- 8:13that that moment nothing's going to get better.
- 8:16And usually the next day everything plays out.
- 8:19It might take some time, but everything plays out.
- 8:22I I don't know. Does anybody know me up here
- 8:25without OK, so you know me. All right, God wasn't done with
- 8:32me. And from that point, this this
- 8:36is what we've done. We have created a Channel 4
- 8:39Channels, Audio Talk Gamer and now we teach.
- 8:47We can teach them how to animate doing cartoons.
- 8:50We're in the process of having our first cartoon January 1st.
- 8:54It's three ducks teaching each other how to navigate the VA
- 8:59services. But believe it or not, my wife
- 9:02right there, she has created coloring books for the kids.
- 9:07And during those coloring books, it also shows you how to
- 9:10navigate getting your DD214, getting your benefits, getting
- 9:13your CRSC, you know, getting your clothing allowance.
- 9:16If you have an AFO or a prosthetic, which a lot of
- 9:19people don't know about that, I beg you, if you know a veteran
- 9:25out there that needs help, that needs to get navigation because
- 9:28of veterans, we're not lazy. We just don't know how to do the
- 9:31damn shit. Send them to us.
- 9:36We we have tracers, tracers podcast.
- 9:39We have a bunch of VS OS that they can't help you.
- 9:43They can direct you and the path that you need to go, but I can't
- 9:49I can't express how much thank you, Kim.
- 9:58I gave up on my life a long time ago and he kind of brought me
- 10:02out and I just want to say thank you.
- 10:05And I have no idea how we got it up, but he got it up and that's
- 10:11that's the bike today. And I'm I'm kind of a special
- 10:14case because the trike, you know, it wasn't brand new.
- 10:17It was just broken in the garage and I think I'm the first one
- 10:23and then grabs you fixed it. And I can't express how much
- 10:27that means to me. You know, a lot of people don't
- 10:29understand unless they're in that situation that wind therapy
- 10:33is a therapy and it really helps ignite the shit out of your butt
- 10:37to get you off the couch. So everybody that was here
- 10:41that's contributed, you guys contributed to this.
- 10:44You guys contributed to this. Thank you.
- 10:48Thank you for not giving up on us because we gave up on
- 10:51ourselves the moment when we got out of the military.
- 10:57Thank you. Now the the not Kim, the
- 11:17nominator. When when he gets done, have him
- 11:20come over here so that we can have an interview with him.
- 11:31OK, so as we wait for the nomination, I'll keep on playing
- 11:35the music when Kim tells me and we'll we'll get this interview
- 11:39started. I guess I can try to play the
- 11:48music just a little bit. Just not too loud, huh?
- 12:00OK, that's true. That's true.
- 12:09In fact, I'll tell you what I'll do.
- 12:15Yeah. The station where our the
- 15:55station where our veterans voices are heard MBR.
- 15:59Talk. Hey, thanks.
- 16:02For tuning in, welcome back are those of the speakers and do not
- 16:07necessarily reflect the views or positions of any entities they
- 16:11represent. Find.
- 16:12Us on the web at MB radio dot UE.
- 16:17At Project ML Gratitude, our mission is simple, to give
- 16:21motorcycles to veterans who need the kind of peace and freedom
- 16:24that only a ride can give. Hey, Cass, this works too,
- 16:27right? OK.
- 16:29All right. Well, if not, guess not.
- 16:32We'll do a lot of a lot of Captain Emmy.
- 16:35Jimmy. Yes, Sir.
- 16:37Congratulations. Thank you.
- 16:38It's an honor. It's an honor to be here.
- 16:40Super humbling. I just want to make sure that
- 16:42this is the the volume and then everything is good.
- 16:50So what's the very first thing that you're going to do now that
- 16:52you have this bike? Are we going on a poker run?
- 16:55What are we? What are we doing?
- 16:57Start slowly, know my limitations #1 and do it safe.
- 17:01But stare at it, look at it, get it all propped up.
- 17:05I think going to a little cruise through Cheyenne Mountain State
- 17:09Park area just to try it out and then just excited to see what
- 17:12comes after that. Well, you know, I'm extremely
- 17:15happy for you. I really am.
- 17:17You know, one thing here at military broadcast radio that we
- 17:22really want to do is, you know, give veterans that voice.
- 17:25You know, I'm sure, because we've talked before, I'm sure
- 17:30we've we've both had some hard times.
- 17:32We've both been in the Blackwell, you know, give give
- 17:37me some encouragement. Everybody that's watching a a
- 17:40veteran that you know, might, might learn, you know, because I
- 17:44mean, I I talked about my experience, you know, and
- 17:47sometimes we're so narrow minded.
- 17:50We don't realize just just let it play out kind of thing.
- 17:56Can you give us some words of encouragement because I don't
- 17:58want to keep you here forever. For sure, I mean I work in the
- 18:02non for profit realm as well. Adventure sports and guiding
- 18:05veterans and one thing I've learned about my own past is,
- 18:09you know, I I was so good at compartmentalizing all my trauma
- 18:12and putting that on a shelf and then never looking at it until
- 18:16something happens that shelf collapses on you, then all your
- 18:19problems are laid bare. The one thing I do know for
- 18:22sure, your brain is just like a muscle, just like a.
- 18:24Deadlift. You got to train it.
- 18:26And so a lot of the times the veterans were stuck in this rut
- 18:29in the road, clearly a muddy rut when you're growing up, your
- 18:33truck wheel get stuck in there and it can't get out.
- 18:36These neural pathways are literally going right to a
- 18:38negative thought, right to a negative action.
- 18:41And I stand here today. I promise you that we can
- 18:44retrain those neural pathways with stuff like all that we're
- 18:49talking about other things we can do.
- 18:51I like it or not, I I have a gratitude journaling guy.
- 18:55I got to in the morning, I wake up, I write down all the things
- 18:59I'm thankful for. I've heard that, you know,
- 19:02creating like a Levy book, a journal thing can really help
- 19:05things. I haven't tried that yet, but
- 19:08I'm, I'm I'm supposed to start that.
- 19:09We, we actually had a, a sermon on our on our channel a couple
- 19:14of days ago and our assignment was creating a joy book.
- 19:18Yeah, so. Yeah, it's great.
- 19:20Yeah, I even, I journal and then I also, that's how I pray.
- 19:24I pray via writing and I pour my heart out.
- 19:28So yeah, that's very helpful. But we got to retrain those
- 19:30newer pathways. That's and I it works.
- 19:33It really works. And you're, you're, you're a
- 19:36Marine. I was a Navy.
- 19:37I did okay. 20 years in the Navy.
- 19:39Okay. And the SEAL teams and I had
- 19:43about 12 deployments in there, so.
- 19:46Well, thank you and thank you for being here and.
- 19:50Super humbling. 11 More question after the crowd, Yeah.
- 19:54Have you figured out how you're going to pay it forward yet?
- 19:57Absolutely. I mean, I think just those
- 19:59little wins and when I work with the veterans and talk about this
- 20:02stuff, I think I'm ignited to do that even more.
- 20:06I got a free motorcycle. Are you kidding me?
- 20:09Right. So anything it just, it just
- 20:12encouraged me to be more motivated.
- 20:14For sure. All right.
- 20:15I appreciate you, Jimmy. Thank you very much and once
- 20:18again congratulations. All right everybody, we are, we
- 20:27are hoping that worked. We are hoping that worked.
- 20:30If not, then we like I said, we are hoping that worked.
- 20:37And if not, I'm sure somebody would have messaged us and let
- 20:42us know if you couldn't hear or what.
- 20:44So with that being said, we're going to go ahead and we're
- 20:50going to get ready to take it down.
- 20:52But I tell you what, if you haven't tuned in TuneIn in about
- 20:56an hour, you'll be watching Red and it's it's just hiring out
- 21:05here. It's Red and Eva.
- 21:08Red and Eva, I believe Red and Eva are both doing their show.
- 21:12So this is H signing up. I want to give a real shout out
- 21:18quick to Cassie, my wife. She came out here.
- 21:22She don't like sweat, but she came out here.
- 21:24So she's definitely helping us and she donated generator and
- 21:33she's like, no, all right. So with that being said, thank
- 21:38you everybody for tuning in. Jimmy is the winner of the 3rd
- 21:42annual ML Gratitude Motorcycle. He is Navy and he is also in the
- 21:49nonprofit sector. So continuing to pay it forward.
- 21:53Once again, thanks for joining us.
