- 1:20Speaker 3: Taylor joins us. LT, good to have you, man. Our
- 1:22Speaker 3: first visit with you, man. Yeah, I'm excited about this.
- 1:25Speaker 3: I've known you guys forever. We've hung out a ton
- 1:27Speaker 3: of times, and it's the first time I've been on
- 1:29Speaker 3: your show.
- 1:29Speaker 2: So, yeah, excited. This is an exciting time.
- 1:33Speaker 3: Do you feel like Lance Taylor of Western Michigan is
- 1:35Speaker 3: your spirit animal? Every time I hear Lance Taylor, I'm like, man,
- 1:38Speaker 3: all I think about is LT. I'm sure all your
- 1:42Speaker 3: audience and everyone else the same way. They don't think
- 1:44Speaker 3: of Lance Taylor as the Western Michigan coach.
- 1:46Speaker 2: They think of LT.
- 1:48Speaker 4: Behind the scenes, literally for the last 20 years, there's
- 1:50Speaker 4: been some confusion. When he played at Alabama, I had
- 1:55Speaker 4: him on the show one time just because I thought
- 1:57Speaker 4: it would be a little bit fun. Then he gets
- 1:59Speaker 4: into the coaching ranks, but I still would– talk to
- 2:02Speaker 4: people that were from Tuscaloosa that would get us confused.
- 2:06Speaker 4: I had, um, the DePaul athletic director sent me a
- 2:10Speaker 4: picture last year when they were getting ready for their
- 2:12Speaker 4: bowl game and him and his entire family were dressed
- 2:15Speaker 4: up in Western Michigan gear.
- 2:16Speaker 2: And he was like, good luck today, coach.
- 2:18Speaker 4: And I'm like, it's, it's not me, but I mean,
- 2:20Speaker 4: I literally, I'll get, you know, a couple of texts
- 2:22Speaker 4: here and there. Um, so, you know, I, I'm one
- 2:26Speaker 4: of these F list celebrities, but as he continues to ascend, uh,
- 2:30Speaker 4: in the coaching ranks, it's going to be more.
- 2:33Speaker 2: And more comical, some of the mix-ups, I think.
- 2:36Speaker 1: Man, is this just a week, the SEC weekend, it's
- 2:41Speaker 1: hard to go back and find a weekend that's like
- 2:44Speaker 1: this impactful, just top to bottom all day long, the
- 2:47Speaker 1: way we're about.
- 2:48Speaker 2: To witness on Saturday. Yeah, I agree.
- 2:51Speaker 4: And I do look at these games and I think
- 2:54Speaker 4: they're all losable. Like when you just look at the favorite,
- 2:57Speaker 4: like everybody's in danger. And I think it's, kind of
- 2:59Speaker 4: the new reality of where we are in college football.
- 3:02Speaker 4: Week in, week out, you don't know what you're going
- 3:04Speaker 4: to get. But there's not one game SEC on SEC
- 3:08Speaker 4: where I'm like, that team is completely safe. Even with
- 3:11Speaker 4: double-digit favorites, and I mean, really, the only two you've
- 3:13Speaker 4: got are Georgia hosting Oklahoma and Alabama hosting South Carolina.
- 3:17Speaker 4: South Carolina has taken Alabama to the wire the last
- 3:20Speaker 4: couple of years. I know they've lost 10 of their
- 3:23Speaker 4: last 12 to power four opponents. That's a dangerous game
- 3:26Speaker 4: for Alabama. I mean, South Carolina, to me, is a
- 3:28Speaker 4: better team than Florida State. We saw Florida State had
- 3:31Speaker 4: Alabama down 15 in the first half, and nobody's given
- 3:35Speaker 4: Oklahoma any credit. I know the offense is broken, but
- 3:38Speaker 4: it's an elite defense. Mobile quarterbacks have given Kirby trouble
- 3:43Speaker 4: in the past, and I think Oklahoma, if things break right,
- 3:47Speaker 4: they could put a massive scare into George on Saturday.
- 3:51Speaker 1: Where do you start when evaluating Tennessee and Texas? Chad's
- 3:55Speaker 1: going to go a layer or two deeper with this,
- 3:57Speaker 1: but Is it Arch Manning or is it Faison Brandon?
- 4:01Speaker 4: It's probably Faison Brandon just because they're 3-0, which is great,
- 4:04Speaker 4: but they haven't played a power four team yet. So,
- 4:07Speaker 4: you know, to me, he hasn't been tested. I mean,
- 4:09Speaker 4: the good news is he'll have Nealon behind him and
- 4:13Speaker 4: that atmosphere is going to be incredible. I was talking
- 4:15Speaker 4: to a ticket broker this morning, had a buddy reach out.
- 4:18Speaker 4: You know, he was looking for four together. Four good
- 4:20Speaker 4: together were $ 995 a piece. Like this ticket is massive.
- 4:25Speaker 4: The buzz is incredible. But I would start with Brandon
- 4:29Speaker 4: just because it's an unknown. Now, the one thing I
- 4:31Speaker 4: do know about Arch is he has been inconsistently average. Like,
- 4:37Speaker 4: based on where he was last year and the way
- 4:39Speaker 4: he grew throughout the season, very surprised the way he's
- 4:42Speaker 4: playing this year. Outside of that fourth quarter against Ohio State,
- 4:45Speaker 4: I don't think you can trust him right now. I
- 4:48Speaker 4: love Tennessee's ability to run the football. I know the
- 4:51Speaker 4: numbers are a little skewed because of competition, but 299
- 4:54Speaker 4: a game on the ground.
- 4:56Speaker 2: Deshaun Bishop leading that.
- 4:58Speaker 4: I think this Jim Knowles defense is going to give
- 5:01Speaker 4: Arch a lot of trouble. I think we're going to
- 5:03Speaker 4: see a rock fight probably playing in the teens, and
- 5:06Speaker 4: whoever turns it over last probably comes out as your
- 5:09Speaker 4: winner on Saturday. But I think it's going to be
- 5:11Speaker 4: a tremendous game, but we will get kind of a
- 5:14Speaker 4: measuring stick on how good Faison Brandon can be.
- 5:16Speaker 3: I want Brooks, if he's listening to this segment, to
- 5:19Speaker 3: note that it was LT and not us that doesn't
- 5:21Speaker 3: consider Georgia Tech a power 14 as LT just said,
- 5:25Speaker 3: Tennessee's yet to face a power 14. That was some
- 5:27Speaker 3: shade at Georgia tech.
- 5:29Speaker 2: I mean, you guys watch that game. You watch, watch
- 5:33Speaker 2: this game. And, uh, boy, um, I.
- 5:36Speaker 3: Also watched Colorado Northwestern and that's what makes me feel
- 5:39Speaker 3: a lot worse about Georgia tech.
- 5:41Speaker 2: Cause Colorado went to Atlanta and won.
- 5:43Speaker 4: Oh, and Northwestern went 41, seven over Colorado. Colorado could
- 5:47Speaker 4: do absolutely nothing.
- 5:48Speaker 2: Yeah. I, uh, I don't know.
- 5:50Speaker 4: It's hard to get a gaze this early in the season,
- 5:53Speaker 4: but I do think this Tennessee defense is going to
- 5:55Speaker 4: be legitimate.
- 5:56Speaker 3: So I want to talk some Alabama with you, and
- 5:59Speaker 3: let's do it in this context of the greater SEC.
- 6:02Speaker 3: Alabama fans did not have to get used to losing
- 6:06Speaker 3: SEC games very much under Nick Saban, right?
- 6:09Speaker 2: That wasn't a thing.
- 6:09Speaker 3: It felt like disaster every time they lost because it
- 6:13Speaker 3: was so few and far between. You hit on something
- 6:15Speaker 3: now with a nine-game conference schedule that with so many
- 6:18Speaker 3: teams paying good money for their rosters, with it being
- 6:21Speaker 3: even that much harder to go on the road and
- 6:23Speaker 3: win at times, every game feels losable if you look
- 6:26Speaker 3: at the schedule in the SEC. You could see a
- 6:29Speaker 3: path to defeat every single time you go out. Has
- 6:32Speaker 3: that changed the mindset of Alabama fans? Has it changed
- 6:36Speaker 3: the mindset of SEC fans where it's more NFL-like, where
- 6:40Speaker 3: You know, you're not ready to jump off a bridge
- 6:42Speaker 3: every time your team loses a game in conference because
- 6:45Speaker 3: you know anybody can get got on any given day.
- 6:49Speaker 2: Yeah, it should be, Chad, but it's not.
- 6:51Speaker 4: I mean, look, we're talking about Alabama fans, and Alabama
- 6:54Speaker 4: fans got entirely spoiled when they were watching Nick Saban
- 6:57Speaker 4: and those Alabama teams win championships. And the thing was,
- 7:02Speaker 4: teams were submitting by halftime. I mean, it was 21-0
- 7:05Speaker 4: in the first quarter. It's 35-7.5 and those games are over,
- 7:09Speaker 4: and that's just not the new reality. I think people
- 7:12Speaker 4: need to wrap their head around this is more professional football.
- 7:16Speaker 4: I mean, that's what it is. There's going to be
- 7:17Speaker 4: a ton of one-possession games. But even last weekend, Alabama
- 7:22Speaker 4: scores 50. People are still critical of the play call-in.
- 7:26Speaker 4: People are like, I just don't know about this Ryan Grubb.
- 7:28Speaker 4: I'm not sure if Alabama can run the football right now.
- 7:32Speaker 2: Just winning, going back.
- 7:34Speaker 4: To play for an SEC championship last year, winning a
- 7:37Speaker 4: playoff game, it wasn't enough. Alabama fans, they got run
- 7:41Speaker 4: out by Indiana. They were pissed off about it, and
- 7:43Speaker 4: they want more improvement this year.
- 7:46Speaker 2: It's just, I don't know. It's a different world.
- 7:49Speaker 4: What Indiana did last year was one of the more
- 7:52Speaker 4: incredible things we've ever seen in the history of college football.
- 7:55Speaker 4: Going 16-0, dominating the majority of their opponents, winning eight
- 7:58Speaker 4: of those 16 games by 34-plus. And I can't believe
- 8:03Speaker 4: I'm saying Indiana was the team to do it, but
- 8:04Speaker 4: we're never going to see that again. I will be
- 8:06Speaker 4: shocked if we have an undefeated team at the end
- 8:09Speaker 4: of the regular season.
- 8:10Speaker 2: I don't know how you guys feel about that.
- 8:12Speaker 4: I mean, you've got teams like Miami that have, you know,
- 8:14Speaker 4: really one difficult game. Georgia, based on what SEC schedules
- 8:19Speaker 4: look like, They get a little bit of a break
- 8:22Speaker 4: in that world, but.
- 8:24Speaker 2: I just don't think we're going to have any undefeateds
- 8:25Speaker 2: at all. Well, and you brought up Ryan Grubb, and
- 8:28Speaker 2: he stepped in it this week.
- 8:30Speaker 3: I thought the worst thing that he said in that
- 8:32Speaker 3: was he referred to Alabama fans as your fans to
- 8:36Speaker 3: the players. Your fans were booing you guys and gave
- 8:39Speaker 3: up on you, and I'm thinking, man, this is a
- 8:41Speaker 3: guy who's really disconnected from the job that he currently
- 8:43Speaker 3: pays the bills at Alabama. I know he came out
- 8:46Speaker 3: and apologized today, I'm not for apologies unless you mean it.
- 8:49Speaker 3: I think people apologize far too often when they should
- 8:52Speaker 3: just move on and not.
- 8:53Speaker 2: Really address it. But what did you make of what.
- 8:56Speaker 3: Ryan Grubb said? And what's the response been like with
- 8:58Speaker 3: you guys on your show with people responding to that?
- 9:02Speaker 4: Yeah, that was the immediate jump was your fans. Wait,
- 9:05Speaker 4: aren't these the guys that are paying your salary? You know,
- 9:08Speaker 4: I mean, aren't these the fan, the fan base that
- 9:10Speaker 4: you know, is trying to get behind Ryan Grubb.
- 9:13Speaker 2: Ryan Grubb is one of these guys. He doesn't mince words.
- 9:16Speaker 4: He is, he's not going to win any personality contest.
- 9:21Speaker 4: I think Alabama fans were upset about it, but a
- 9:24Speaker 4: lot of people do believe in apologies. I'm like you,
- 9:26Speaker 4: I don't know how sincere all these apologies are. I
- 9:30Speaker 4: don't know if AI wrote that apology for it. Wouldn't
- 9:32Speaker 4: surprise me if, if, if it did. With all that said,
- 9:37Speaker 4: I mean, it's, you know, we're, we're, just going to
- 9:41Speaker 4: gauge or we're going to judge Ryan Grubb on, you know,
- 9:44Speaker 4: how many points they score and how many games they win. And,
- 9:48Speaker 4: you know, if they go out and they lose to
- 9:49Speaker 4: South Carolina and the offense struggles and they can't run
- 9:52Speaker 4: the football, then that's when people are going to get
- 9:55Speaker 4: really pissed off. I did think it was a poor
- 9:57Speaker 4: choice of words. And it was almost, it was premeditated.
- 10:01Speaker 4: He went out there, it was calculated. He wanted to
- 10:04Speaker 4: get it across that he wasn't happy with the fans
- 10:08Speaker 4: booing the players.
- 10:10Speaker 2: It was just, the timing was bad.
- 10:12Speaker 4: I mean, Alabama fans had sat through, you know, multiple delays,
- 10:16Speaker 4: two and a half total hours in delays. um yeah
- 10:20Speaker 4: I it was a bad look terrible look who will
- 10:22Speaker 4: be better LT at handling the rebound Ole Miss coming
- 10:25Speaker 4: off the win or LSU off the loss in their
- 10:28Speaker 4: opponents yeah fair question um I I think it's going
- 10:33Speaker 4: to be LSU I think A & M is really
- 10:35Speaker 4: struggling right now Marcel Reed since they got to the
- 10:38Speaker 4: postseason or I even go back to the Texas game
- 10:40Speaker 4: at the end of the regular season last year he
- 10:42Speaker 4: has really really struggled um.
- 10:46Speaker 2: I think LSU is going to be fine.
- 10:48Speaker 4: That is one of those games I saw probability, the
- 10:50Speaker 4: loser of A & M and LSU dropping to 0-2
- 10:53Speaker 4: in conference goes to 10% while making the college football playoff.
- 10:58Speaker 4: Ole Miss, to me, coming off that emotional high, the
- 11:03Speaker 4: level that Trinidad played at, I know they don't lose
- 11:05Speaker 4: ranked games right now.
- 11:06Speaker 2: I don't know if you guys saw this stat. This
- 11:09Speaker 2: is pretty amazing.
- 11:09Speaker 4: With a win, Pete Golding would have more ranked wins
- 11:15Speaker 4: in his eight games as a head coach than 48
- 11:18Speaker 4: of the FBS schools over the last five years.
- 11:21Speaker 2: Wow.
- 11:21Speaker 4: I mean, it would already be ranked number win six
- 11:24Speaker 4: for him. I just think that environment, that freaking Florida heat,
- 11:30Speaker 4: and the way Florida's playing offensively right now, I mean,
- 11:33Speaker 4: they're clicking on all cylinders. Jaden Baugh's been great. Philo
- 11:36Speaker 4: in this Buster Faulkner offense has been really good. I
- 11:40Speaker 4: think it's going to be tougher for Ole Miss to
- 11:41Speaker 4: get up. And I think if LSU doesn't, there's a
- 11:44Speaker 4: big problem.
- 11:46Speaker 2: Maybe I'm sleeping on Florida.
- 11:48Speaker 1: But I think about the quarterback situation, and I'm totally
- 11:51Speaker 1: fine with Ole Miss going on the road. I think
- 11:53Speaker 1: they handle things very well. They didn't play into the
- 11:55Speaker 1: whole hype thing that Kiffin was trying to get them
- 11:57Speaker 1: to bite on. And I felt that was sort of
- 12:00Speaker 1: the university down. I thought they did a very good
- 12:03Speaker 1: job of staying focused. I think– coaching staff wise, they've
- 12:07Speaker 1: got a pretty good gauge on that roster. And I
- 12:09Speaker 1: think they respond very.
- 12:10Speaker 2: Well to them.
- 12:11Speaker 4: Hutton, Vegas is telling us something though. Like I would
- 12:14Speaker 4: have listed this at Florida one and a half. This
- 12:17Speaker 4: thing is all the way up to three and a half.
- 12:18Speaker 4: I mean, it's, it's a big number, but to your point,
- 12:21Speaker 4: I mean, Ole Miss is the only team right now
- 12:23Speaker 4: with two ranked wins and nothing seems too big.
- 12:26Speaker 2: I've just, I don't know. I just think it's a
- 12:28Speaker 2: perfect mix for Florida this weekend.
- 12:31Speaker 3: So I know that I saw the clip of you
- 12:34Speaker 3: talking about at LT about, your thoughts about Mississippi State
- 12:37Speaker 3: in Starkville against Alabama coming up. I'm a big believer
- 12:40Speaker 3: in Kamario Taylor. I said the first time I saw him,
- 12:43Speaker 3: I thought they could be this year's Oklahoma. They could
- 12:46Speaker 3: be that off-the-radar SEC team that comes in and crashes
- 12:49Speaker 3: the college football playoff because they got an absolute stud
- 12:52Speaker 3: at quarterback. That Missouri game is the one this week
- 12:56Speaker 3: with Mississippi State that we.
- 12:58Speaker 2: Haven't spent a lot of time on.
- 12:59Speaker 3: No one's really talking a lot about, but That's not
- 13:02Speaker 3: just a game for the middle of the conference right now.
- 13:04Speaker 3: I mean, both those teams are thinking we can challenge
- 13:07Speaker 3: for that top echelon in the league this year based
- 13:11Speaker 3: on what they've shown so far. What do you think
- 13:13Speaker 3: about that matchup? What do you think about Kamario Taylor
- 13:16Speaker 3: so far at State?
- 13:17Speaker 2: I think he's been fantastic.
- 13:19Speaker 4: Talking to Mississippi State fans, they're kind of already looking, OK,
- 13:22Speaker 4: we're going to beat Missouri, top 25 team. And then
- 13:25Speaker 4: we're going to have this undefeated matchup with Alabama next weekend, which,
- 13:29Speaker 4: by the way, another 11 o'clock game. I know you've
- 13:31Speaker 4: got to have some of these in the 11 o'clock window.
- 13:34Speaker 4: I absolutely hate big games at 11 o'clock. With all
- 13:37Speaker 4: that said, imagine on the other side, Missouri, with Austin Simmons,
- 13:41Speaker 4: who's averaging 10 yards a toss right now, 10 touchdowns,
- 13:45Speaker 4: no picks through.
- 13:46Speaker 2: His first three games. If they were to go in
- 13:48Speaker 2: there and beat Mississippi State.
- 13:50Speaker 4: You could have, and if Florida holds up, you could
- 13:52Speaker 4: have undefeated Florida and Missouri next week in a game
- 13:55Speaker 4: that nobody's talking about. With all that said, Jeff Lebby,
- 13:59Speaker 4: 2-15 against SEC opponents.
- 14:01Speaker 2: This feels so different.
- 14:03Speaker 4: I do think Zach Arnett's defense is going to have
- 14:05Speaker 4: to turn around, pressure the quarterback a little bit more,
- 14:07Speaker 4: but I mean, they're second nationally, 545 yards per game.
- 14:10Speaker 2: They're 3-0 against the number.
- 14:13Speaker 4: This is kind of a bigger number when you're talking
- 14:14Speaker 4: about Mississippi State and how bad they've been the last
- 14:18Speaker 4: couple of years, minus six and a half in this spot.
- 14:21Speaker 4: But Camario, I said this weeks ago, it's almost Cam
- 14:25Speaker 4: Newton-like as far as this guy can just put a
- 14:28Speaker 4: team on his back and carry him.
- 14:30Speaker 2: And if you guys go back to 2010, Cam.
- 14:31Speaker 4: Newton really didn't bust out until I think it was
- 14:35Speaker 4: the Kentucky or South Carolina game, but it was really
- 14:38Speaker 4: into October. You just saw him getting better and better
- 14:40Speaker 4: and better. I could see that with Kamario Taylor. I mean,
- 14:44Speaker 4: you know, it's one thing he can run it, but
- 14:46Speaker 4: the way he throws it and going back down 16-0
- 14:50Speaker 4: last week in Columbia and leading them back and just
- 14:53Speaker 4: making everything look flawless.
- 14:55Speaker 2: And I think everybody around him believes right now.
- 14:57Speaker 4: He might be the most, him and Trinidad, and it's
- 14:59Speaker 4: crazy that we go to the Magnolia State, the two
- 15:02Speaker 4: best quarterbacks in college football might be in Mississippi.
- 15:06Speaker 2: Well, and I think we've just scratched the surface with
- 15:09Speaker 2: the run game with him too. He's got 178 yards
- 15:10Speaker 2: right now. He's averaging almost seven yards a carry. I'm
- 15:13Speaker 2: with you.
- 15:13Speaker 3: I think he's got a next level to get to also.
- 15:17Speaker 2: Hey, Knoxville is going to be next level.
- 15:19Speaker 3: I'm going to be there. President Trump is there. Johnny
- 15:22Speaker 3: Knoxville is the celebrity guest picker on college game day.
- 15:25Speaker 3: Did you attend the Alabama-Georgia game where Donald Trump attended
- 15:29Speaker 3: the game?
- 15:31Speaker 2: So that was no. I was at a Trump game, though.
- 15:33Speaker 2: So 2017.
- 15:35Speaker 4: We were in Atlanta doing our show before Alabama, Saban
- 15:39Speaker 4: and Kirby and.
- 15:40Speaker 2: That national championship matchup. I'll never forget. It was like
- 15:43Speaker 2: in the 30s.
- 15:44Speaker 4: It was kind of a really cold rain. And I
- 15:48Speaker 4: was back at the hotel and I was like, I'm
- 15:49Speaker 4: not dealing with this. When I found out Trump was
- 15:51Speaker 4: going to be there, I was like, traffic in and
- 15:53Speaker 4: out is going to be a.
- 15:53Speaker 2: Pain in the ass. I don't want to deal with it.
- 15:55Speaker 4: So. Dunaway and Brown both went. I stayed back, watched
- 15:59Speaker 4: it in the hotel room. But in 2019, Joe Brady
- 16:04Speaker 4: versus Tua, that game in Tuscaloosa, LSU, Alabama, Trump was
- 16:09Speaker 4: at that one. And it's just another layer to the madness.
- 16:12Speaker 4: And I think it's kind of cool to be like,
- 16:15Speaker 4: I'm in the same vicinity as a sitting president, but
- 16:17Speaker 4: at the same time, logistically, it is a pain in
- 16:20Speaker 4: the ass.
- 16:21Speaker 2: So have fun with that.
- 16:22Speaker 3: I'm not looking forward to logistically now that they're opening
- 16:25Speaker 3: the gates three hours before kickoff. But that's interesting to
- 16:28Speaker 3: get your perspective on it because I don't know much
- 16:32Speaker 3: about what to predict. I saw an Army-Navy game once
- 16:35Speaker 3: where Barack Obama and Joe Biden were both in the
- 16:37Speaker 3: house through the coin toss. And I got stuck in
- 16:40Speaker 3: a stairwell for about 45 minutes because they were doing
- 16:42Speaker 3: an interview with Brad Nessler on CBS at the time.
- 16:45Speaker 2: And no one can move when the president's not in position.
- 16:48Speaker 1: You guys see what Sark said about the logistics of things?
- 16:53Speaker 1: where he said anytime the president is on the move,
- 16:55Speaker 1: they cut off all communication.
- 16:58Speaker 2: So their headsets are going to go off.
- 17:00Speaker 1: They will not have the ability to talk or chat
- 17:02Speaker 1: with the quarterbacks at all.
- 17:04Speaker 2: We saw that. What was the game? Oh, it was
- 17:10Speaker 2: Florida State and SMU. Yeah, that's right.
- 17:14Speaker 3: They started old school. You won't know.
- 17:18Speaker 1: Just go blank.
- 17:21Speaker 4: I will tell you, clearing security, and it's a little
- 17:23Speaker 4: different for media, but back to 2019, I remember it
- 17:27Speaker 4: was extra tight. I might have had a couple of
- 17:31Speaker 4: gummies on me, and they pulled those out, and they're like,
- 17:33Speaker 4: what the hell is this?
- 17:34Speaker 2: I'm like, those are my vitamins. My vitamins that I've
- 17:37Speaker 2: got to have, and that was 2019. Prescription vitamins.
- 17:41Speaker 4: They gave me my vitamins back, But we also had
- 17:44Speaker 4: these girls with us and they had the Tito's and
- 17:46Speaker 4: they had the metal tops. And they were like, you
- 17:49Speaker 4: can't take those in. And so, you know, everybody's pounding
- 17:52Speaker 4: them right there. It was bottlenecked trying to get in.
- 17:55Speaker 4: So security will be next level.
- 17:58Speaker 2: Hey, LT, I got one more for you. Have you
- 18:00Speaker 2: watched The Gentleman on Netflix? Oh, yes. Yeah, absolutely.
- 18:03Speaker 3: Okay, good.
- 18:03Speaker 2: All right. How great is that show? Yeah, I'm a
- 18:06Speaker 2: Guy Ritchie fan.
- 18:08Speaker 4: You know, he's done some things that haven't been great,
- 18:10Speaker 4: but going back to Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels and.
- 18:13Speaker 2: Snatch and then the original Gentleman.
- 18:16Speaker 4: Movie in season one, I thought season two was even better.
- 18:20Speaker 4: You know, I've been talking about Theo James, you know,
- 18:23Speaker 4: back to, you know, on Downton Abbey and White Lotus and,
- 18:27Speaker 4: such an underrated guy that probably needs more work.
- 18:30Speaker 2: He's awesome. I want him to be the next James Bond.
- 18:32Speaker 3: I don't think he's in the running anymore, but I
- 18:35Speaker 3: think he'd be an amazing James Bond. But yeah, I
- 18:37Speaker 3: refer to Guy Ritchie now as sort of the British
- 18:40Speaker 3: Taylor Sheridan, where he can just run his own show
- 18:43Speaker 3: and write it and direct some of it. And he's
- 18:46Speaker 3: got that sort of, that type of autonomy that Taylor
- 18:48Speaker 3: Sheridan does, but it's the British version of it.
- 18:50Speaker 2: I love that show. Highly recommend.
- 18:52Speaker 3: Hutton LT is a big, big fan of, of cinema and,
- 18:55Speaker 3: And television.
- 18:56Speaker 4: Ray Winstone is so good in that role as well.
- 19:00Speaker 4: And I'm like, I could do prison if I did
- 19:02Speaker 4: it like this. You know, the guy's got designer shades
- 19:05Speaker 4: on and nice robes and he's cooking steaks and he's
- 19:08Speaker 4: in the sun or the hot tub.
- 19:10Speaker 2: But you're right.
- 19:10Speaker 4: I mean, I thought about that the other day, Chad,
- 19:13Speaker 4: when I was watching Mobland, the first episode for, is
- 19:17Speaker 4: this season two or three?
- 19:18Speaker 2: Season two. Yeah.
- 19:20Speaker 4: But I was like, I mean, basically he is the
- 19:23Speaker 4: British version of Sheridan. That's And I think his stuff,
- 19:27Speaker 4: like Sheridan seems to go down a little bit at times.
- 19:30Speaker 2: Like Guy Ritchie might be getting a little bit better.
- 19:33Speaker 3: Wow.
- 19:34Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm with you. It's like you.
- 19:35Speaker 1: I mean, aging like a fine wine. Yeah, LT. Hey,
- 19:41Speaker 1: hit us with, you have a Lance Locke, Lance's Locke.
- 19:43Speaker 1: Do you have a couple of those for us? Yeah,
- 19:45Speaker 1: I do like Florida a lot this weekend. If I'm
- 19:47Speaker 1: just jumping around, I think Oklahoma's going to play Georgia Wednesdays.
- 19:50Speaker 4: Definitely within the 14. I'm on an island with that one.
- 19:53Speaker 4: Nobody believes.
- 19:55Speaker 2: I think USC, I think there's so much pressure on
- 19:57Speaker 2: Lincoln Riley. Yeah. And I just don't know how good
- 20:00Speaker 2: Oregon is.
- 20:00Speaker 4: And I'm not saying USC's very good. Now, a lot
- 20:02Speaker 4: of this is, you know, going to depend if Trent
- 20:05Speaker 4: Mosley plays or not, your best playmaker. But right now
- 20:08Speaker 4: I like SC plus the points. Did you take the
- 20:12Speaker 4: points with Vandy? I kind of like Vanderbilt. I like
- 20:15Speaker 4: what I saw out of Jared Curtis. I thought it
- 20:17Speaker 4: was a bad decision there late. I had NC State
- 20:21Speaker 4: plus three and a half. That literally, and I'm not exaggerating,
- 20:25Speaker 4: I can count on one hand like the terrible, terrible beats.
- 20:29Speaker 4: That is the worst that I have ever seen that
- 20:31Speaker 4: I've been a part of. But with all that said,
- 20:33Speaker 4: I thought Curtis, what he did with his legs, the
- 20:36Speaker 4: moment didn't look too big. And I think he's going
- 20:39Speaker 4: to give Auburn a lot of problems. And you look
- 20:40Speaker 4: at the other side, Auburn's given up 13 sacks in
- 20:43Speaker 4: three games. Vanderbilt, 12 sacks, fourth in the FBS. They're
- 20:47Speaker 4: going to be able to pressure Byron Brown. That's going
- 20:49Speaker 4: to be an interesting game. Currently, I don't think the
- 20:51Speaker 4: squad's nearly as good as they were last year, but
- 20:53Speaker 4: they find ways to get it done.
- 20:55Speaker 2: If you want a quarterback who will hang on to
- 20:56Speaker 2: the football, it's him. It's Brown.
- 20:58Speaker 3: 14-3 in their last 17 games for Vandy, too, which
- 21:02Speaker 3: is nuts.
- 21:02Speaker 2: They keep finding ways. Hey, thank you. Appreciate you. Yeah,
- 21:07Speaker 2: you guys have a great weekend. Enjoy the games. Talk soon. Yeah, man.

- 22:31Speaker 1: have an anticipated segment. It's Chad Withrow's top 10 games
- 22:34Speaker 1: of the college football weekend.
- 22:36Speaker 2: And we have a doozy of a college football weekend.
- 22:38Speaker 3: Also, you just heard LT on the show with us
- 22:41Speaker 3: previewing some of these games.
- 22:43Speaker 2: Let's get into it.
- 22:43Speaker 3: Let's rank them one through 10, starting with game number 10.
- 22:48Speaker 2: The SEC. Go ahead and get the chance out. SEC. SEC.
- 22:51Speaker 3: Because there's going to be a theme with these games
- 22:53Speaker 3: this week, and it's SEC heavy. Game number 10, Vanderbilt
- 22:56Speaker 3: at Auburn. Auburn, a nine and a half point favorite.
- 22:59Speaker 3: 3-15 Central time on SEC Network. I think there's too
- 23:03Speaker 3: many points involved in this game. I really like Vandy
- 23:06Speaker 3: to play this thing close or win outright against Auburn.
- 23:10Speaker 3: Auburn's reeling a little bit after giving up a lot
- 23:12Speaker 3: of rushing yards, rushing TDs to Jaden Baugh. They did
- 23:16Speaker 3: not get the job done at home against Florida. How
- 23:19Speaker 3: do they respond? If I had to pick a winner
- 23:21Speaker 3: in this game, I think Auburn maybe wins a close game,
- 23:24Speaker 3: but I like Vandy to be right there the entire time.
- 23:26Speaker 3: I don't think this is a double-digit type game for
- 23:28Speaker 3: the doors. Jared Curtis looked a lot better in that
- 23:31Speaker 3: second half. That's going to continue, I think, as he
- 23:33Speaker 3: continues to grow and play more. Maybe it's a tough
- 23:36Speaker 3: start for him again on the road, but he's going
- 23:39Speaker 3: to figure it out. He showed that arm talent that
- 23:41Speaker 3: we've seen throughout against NC State. I really like this game.
- 23:45Speaker 3: Are you with me that there's too many points involved
- 23:47Speaker 3: here for Auburn?
- 23:48Speaker 1: I grabbed it initially at 9.5. I thought just sometimes
- 23:53Speaker 1: you get a weird win. And the freakish win that
- 23:56Speaker 1: we saw and the way Vanderbilt won that game against
- 23:58Speaker 1: NC State, sometimes that just propels you confidence-wise. And this
- 24:02Speaker 1: is a Vanderbilt team that has not been playing well,
- 24:04Speaker 1: but they enter 3-0. And it's an Auburn team that's
- 24:07Speaker 1: coming off the loss to Florida. I tend to think
- 24:10Speaker 1: that Curtis is going to have a moment where he's
- 24:12Speaker 1: not going to throw the pick. He's going to throw
- 24:14Speaker 1: the 50-yard bomb touchdown. Vanderbilt has cashed in on the
- 24:17Speaker 1: under four of the last five games that they've played.
- 24:20Speaker 1: And I wonder if this now kind of flips that
- 24:25Speaker 1: with Curtis now being able to push the field and
- 24:27Speaker 1: take the top off the defense. They're going to unleash
- 24:29Speaker 1: him at some point. I don't know if it's this game.
- 24:31Speaker 1: But as this season draws on, I mean, they're going
- 24:34Speaker 1: to take advantage of his arm. There's no doubt about it.
- 24:37Speaker 3: And he's going to take advantage of that opportunity as
- 24:39Speaker 3: well as the season goes on. Game number nine, let's
- 24:42Speaker 3: stay in the SEC. Oklahoma at number two, Georgia. LT
- 24:45Speaker 3: likes the Sooners to cover the 14. I'm not so sure.
- 24:48Speaker 3: I think Oklahoma is going to have a hard time scoring.
- 24:51Speaker 3: I think Georgia's offense, and it's shown early in the season,
- 24:54Speaker 3: more explosive than we're even accustomed to with this Georgia offense.
- 24:58Speaker 3: They've got a lot of veteran guys. And they've mixed
- 25:00Speaker 3: in some new parts that are really, really game-breaking. Gunnar Stockton,
- 25:04Speaker 3: veteran guy at home. I like the Bulldogs to cover
- 25:07Speaker 3: the 14. This game's at 3.30 Eastern time on ESPN.
- 25:11Speaker 3: Oklahoma got any shot in this one, Hutton?
- 25:13Speaker 2: I don't think so.
- 25:14Speaker 1: I mean, based on what I've seen, you mentioned do
- 25:18Speaker 1: they have a shot. I'm shocked, not do they have
- 25:21Speaker 1: a shot, that they've been this just kind of inconsistent,
- 25:25Speaker 1: you know, with the quarterback situation, offensive coordinator coming with them.
- 25:29Speaker 1: I think, Chad, this is one of those deals where
- 25:32Speaker 1: Georgia's kind of churning in the fourth quarter and puts
- 25:35Speaker 1: it away by more.
- 25:36Speaker 2: They end up covering this game.
- 25:37Speaker 1: I also like the defensive front for Georgia, just the
- 25:41Speaker 1: way they smother on early downs. It puts Oklahoma in
- 25:44Speaker 1: some third and long situations. That's not ideal for the
- 25:47Speaker 1: way this offense has been churning.
- 25:50Speaker 3: I think this game and our number one game actually
- 25:52Speaker 3: in a crazy way kind of has a chance to
- 25:54Speaker 3: be an old school SEC game that's not very high
- 25:56Speaker 3: scoring that we'll get to also. But I really think
- 25:59Speaker 3: this one has a chance to be. And that's what
- 26:00Speaker 3: Oklahoma needs is a grind it out 13-7, 17-13 type
- 26:05Speaker 3: game in the fourth quarter they have a chance to win.
- 26:08Speaker 3: Game number eight, South Carolina at number eight, Alabama. The
- 26:11Speaker 3: Crimson Tide a 12.5 point favorite. 7 p.m.
- 26:14Speaker 2: Eastern time on ESPN.
- 26:17Speaker 3: Alabama's trying to get to 4-0 before five straight games
- 26:20Speaker 3: against teams currently ranked. Keelan Russell has looked terrific. Three
- 26:24Speaker 3: touchdowns passing, one rushing against FSU. They put up 50
- 26:28Speaker 3: points against the Seminoles. That offense got going in that game,
- 26:32Speaker 3: even though there were some struggles at times. And South Carolina,
- 26:36Speaker 3: you know, we played Shane Beamer's clip at the podium
- 26:38Speaker 3: earlier this week. Hey, they moved on from that home
- 26:41Speaker 3: loss to Mississippi State. What are they going to look
- 26:43Speaker 3: like in this bounce back game? I'll be watching this
- 26:47Speaker 3: game and seeing how really both respond. But Alabama needs
- 26:50Speaker 3: this with the schedule they have coming up to go
- 26:52Speaker 3: ahead and get to 4-0. They can't afford to drop this.
- 26:54Speaker 2: Game at home.
- 26:55Speaker 1: Yeah, totally agree. Look, they've battled South Carolina in the
- 26:59Speaker 1: recent years. Their defense, Alabama's defense, very good in the
- 27:03Speaker 1: red zone.
- 27:04Speaker 2: Over half of the.
- 27:05Speaker 1: Possessions that reach the red zone for their opponent end
- 27:06Speaker 1: up kicking a field goal. That's a loss for South Carolina.
- 27:09Speaker 1: They've got to cash in if they reach the red zone.
- 27:12Speaker 2: Game number seven, we're going to step out of the SEC.
- 27:14Speaker 3: We're going to step out of conference matchups and go
- 27:17Speaker 3: to a Pac-12 versus Mac game.
- 27:20Speaker 2: You heard it right.
- 27:22Speaker 3: Boise State, a seven-point favorite at Western Michigan, 3.30 Eastern
- 27:26Speaker 3: time on ESPN2. A lot of people thought this should
- 27:28Speaker 3: be college game day. Hey, go to Kalamazoo, give Western
- 27:31Speaker 3: Michigan the spotlight after they had the game robbed from them.
- 27:34Speaker 3: Let's face it, that would have been charity based on
- 27:36Speaker 3: what the number one game.
- 27:37Speaker 2: Of the week is.
- 27:38Speaker 4: But.
- 27:39Speaker 3: I agree that this has major college football playoff ramifications.
- 27:43Speaker 2: The loser of this game is likely out.
- 27:45Speaker 3: To be that group of six team that has the
- 27:48Speaker 3: highest ranking that gets the auto bid into the college
- 27:50Speaker 3: football playoff, the winner is very much alive. Boise State
- 27:54Speaker 3: a touchdown favorite. This is the battle of the only
- 27:57Speaker 3: two Broncos mascots, nicknames, in FBS. Western Michigan Broncos versus
- 28:03Speaker 3: Boise State Broncos. Dylan Riley currently third in FBS in
- 28:07Speaker 3: rushing for Boise State. And Western Michigan and Lance Taylor,
- 28:11Speaker 3: this is an old school smash mouth football team. They're
- 28:13Speaker 3: going to run it with their quarterback. They're going to
- 28:15Speaker 3: run it with a couple of running backs. They're going
- 28:17Speaker 3: to play solid defense. They want to keep this game
- 28:19Speaker 3: low scoring. And you think about Boise with the blue
- 28:21Speaker 3: turf and the flash and everything. They got a good
- 28:23Speaker 3: quarterback in Maddox Madsen. That's a team built on running
- 28:26Speaker 3: the football also.
- 28:28Speaker 1: Hey, you mentioned Boise's run success. Western Michigan has success
- 28:32Speaker 1: when playing at home defensively. They've been holding opponents to
- 28:35Speaker 1: less than four yards per carry. I don't know what
- 28:37Speaker 1: it is about playing at home versus on the road. Normally,
- 28:39Speaker 1: defense travels. This one stays at home. And that's the matchup.
- 28:43Speaker 1: Can they stop Boise's rushing attack?
- 28:45Speaker 3: My favorite game day sign was when P.J. Fleck was
- 28:49Speaker 3: at Western Michigan. They had a late-season game and, like,
- 28:51Speaker 3: freezing cold weather and the snow. And they had college
- 28:54Speaker 3: game day there, and they had the sign that said,
- 28:56Speaker 3: Tim Allen sold cocaine here once. And it was a
- 28:59Speaker 3: picture of Tim Allen's mugshot. Tim Allen got arrested for
- 29:02Speaker 3: either buying or selling cocaine in Kalamazoo, Michigan. But it
- 29:05Speaker 3: was just a picture of Tim Allen in the 70s
- 29:07Speaker 3: with a mustache getting arrested. Incredible stuff. Game number six.
- 29:14Speaker 3: Number 17, Iowa at number 18, Michigan. The Wolverines a
- 29:17Speaker 3: five and a half point favorite. 3.30 Eastern time on CBS. Defense, defense, defense.
- 29:23Speaker 3: Who can make more plays at quarterback? Bryce Underwood or
- 29:26Speaker 3: Lipscomb Academy in Nashville's alum, Hank Brown. We call it
- 29:30Speaker 3: a state championship game for Lipscomb Academy. He committed to Liberty.
- 29:34Speaker 3: He changed the commitment when Hugh Freeze got the Auburn job.
- 29:37Speaker 3: He went to Auburn, didn't win out there. Now he's
- 29:40Speaker 3: at Iowa. He's having a really good year. Iowa has
- 29:43Speaker 3: not played anyone. I mean, we know what they're based on.
- 29:46Speaker 3: They're based on good tight end play and defense and
- 29:49Speaker 3: great punting. I think this is a game that's going
- 29:51Speaker 3: to feature all three of those things. I see a
- 29:53Speaker 3: low scoring game hunting and crazy enough, Michigan who looked dead.
- 29:58Speaker 3: when they should have lost to Western Michigan. They bounced
- 30:00Speaker 3: back with a win over Oklahoma. They had an impressive
- 30:02Speaker 3: blowout win last week. Here they are, I think, a
- 30:05Speaker 3: team that's going to win this game close and be 4-0.
- 30:09Speaker 3: And I didn't think we were going to see that
- 30:10Speaker 3: after that game against Western Michigan. The line's only like 2.5,
- 30:13Speaker 3: 3.5 maybe? 5.5.
- 30:14Speaker 2: Michigan's fair by 5.5.
- 30:16Speaker 1: I think this is a game Iowa can win outright,
- 30:19Speaker 1: quite frankly. Based on Michigan's offense, this is going to
- 30:22Speaker 1: be field position. You mentioned the punting. Field position and punting.
- 30:26Speaker 1: And which quarterback is going to make some plays on
- 30:29Speaker 1: the defense that's going to stop the run?
- 30:31Speaker 2: If this.
- 30:34Speaker 3: Game is decided by punting, if this game is decided
- 30:36Speaker 3: by punting, ride the Hawkeyes in this game. Ride Iowa
- 30:40Speaker 3: in the upset, no doubt about it. Game number five,
- 30:43Speaker 3: as we roll along, going back to the Big Ten.
- 30:45Speaker 3: Number 20, Oregon, a three-point favorite on the road at
- 30:48Speaker 3: number 12, USC. 7.30 Eastern time on NBC. Oregon, they
- 30:52Speaker 3: got right with an 84-0 win over Portland State. But
- 30:56Speaker 3: can Jaden Maiava do what Drew Mestemaker and Maddox Madsen
- 31:00Speaker 3: did against this Oregon defense? Oregon has been susceptible defensively.
- 31:05Speaker 3: Not a great start for Dan Lanning, who is a
- 31:07Speaker 3: defensive guy in that Oregon defense. Can USC keep that
- 31:11Speaker 3: trend going in this game? I feel like this is
- 31:13Speaker 3: a toughness game. For both of them, USC needs to,
- 31:17Speaker 3: I mean, I guess bounce back from a seven-point win
- 31:20Speaker 3: at Rutgers where they let Rutgers move the ball at ease.
- 31:23Speaker 2: Their defense, yeah.
- 31:23Speaker 3: Against them, and Rutgers hasn't done anything against them, including UMass,
- 31:27Speaker 3: as I like.
- 31:27Speaker 2: To refer to them. They look like IAS against UMass
- 31:31Speaker 2: in that game.
- 31:32Speaker 3: Can USC prove that they're going to be here in
- 31:37Speaker 3: the national championship picture or the college football playoff picture?
- 31:40Speaker 3: In the Big Ten, they've got to do it in
- 31:41Speaker 3: this game. This is prove-it time for Lincoln Riley. But
- 31:44Speaker 3: I feel like this is a game where Dan Lanning
- 31:46Speaker 3: and the Ducks get off the mat.
- 31:47Speaker 1: Yeah, the Coliseum is going to be packed with green, too.
- 31:50Speaker 1: Oregon is going to travel very well to this game.
- 31:52Speaker 1: I would also add, this is my hard rock lock
- 31:55Speaker 1: of the week. Take the over, 62.5. With the points
- 31:58Speaker 1: that both defenses give up, I think this is going
- 32:00Speaker 1: to be an exciting game that will be played out west.
- 32:03Speaker 1: I don't know how many people will be watching this
- 32:05Speaker 1: because everyone's going to be tuned into the SEC.
- 32:08Speaker 2: No doubt about it.
- 32:09Speaker 3: Speaking of the SEC, we got four, three, two, one.
- 32:12Speaker 3: All top four games are going to the SEC. So
- 32:15Speaker 3: let's roll with it right now. Will the over hit
- 32:18Speaker 3: when number 19 Missouri travels to Stark Vegas to take
- 32:20Speaker 3: on the 24th ranked Bulldogs? State a six and a
- 32:23Speaker 3: half point favorite. 745 Eastern Time on SEC Network. Here's
- 32:28Speaker 3: an interesting stat for you. I don't buy into a
- 32:30Speaker 3: lot of the ESPN, FPI, Football Power Index rankings and
- 32:34Speaker 3: percentages and when to go for it and who's got it.
- 32:36Speaker 2: But this is very interesting to me.
- 32:38Speaker 3: Before the season, ESPN, FPI had Missouri as a 67.3%
- 32:42Speaker 3: favorite to win this game.
- 32:43Speaker 2: 67.3% chance to beat Mississippi State.
- 32:45Speaker 3: As of right now, ESPN-FBI has Mississippi State as a 67.3%
- 32:56Speaker 3: chance winner of this game. That shows that's not a
- 32:59Speaker 3: knock on Missouri, who's looked good so far this year.
- 33:01Speaker 3: That shows how good Mississippi State has looked with Kamario Taylor, quarterback.
- 33:06Speaker 3: Speaking of Kamario Taylor, already this year, 832 passing yards,
- 33:09Speaker 3: 11 touchdowns to one INT. He's rushed for 178 in
- 33:14Speaker 3: a touchdown, 6.6 yards per carry.
- 33:17Speaker 2: Chad, I don't remember who they have coming up next,
- 33:19Speaker 2: Mississippi State. They got Alabama. Okay. They host Alabama after this.
- 33:23Speaker 1: This is kind of the litmus test for me on
- 33:26Speaker 1: what team we're watching here.
- 33:28Speaker 2: They go on the road.
- 33:29Speaker 1: They get a nice win against South Carolina. Back home now,
- 33:32Speaker 1: hosting a ranked team in Missouri, but Alabama's coming up.
- 33:36Speaker 1: And everyone's talking about you. You're kind of the hype.
- 33:41Speaker 1: The state of Mississippi is feeling great in terms of football.
- 33:46Speaker 1: Do they come out and just take care of business?
- 33:48Speaker 1: Do they win another tight, close game? Are we watching
- 33:52Speaker 1: great quarterback play? There's a lot of questions I have
- 33:54Speaker 1: that will be answered just based on this matchup because
- 33:57Speaker 1: Missouri controls the clock, man. They hold time of possession
- 34:00Speaker 1: in their favor every time they're out there. I think
- 34:03Speaker 1: this is another great matchup. Again, we asked LT about this.
- 34:07Speaker 1: Is this the best SEC weekend we've seen since when?
- 34:10Speaker 1: Like just top to bottom matchup wise, this is one
- 34:13Speaker 1: that I can't wait to watch.
- 34:14Speaker 3: And it gets even better. We just spent some time
- 34:17Speaker 3: in Magnolia State. In Mississippi, we saw Oxford on tilt.
- 34:22Speaker 3: Shout out to Kelly Stewart and Ariel Epstein and Joe O'Neary.
- 34:25Speaker 3: Ole Miss at Florida, number four versus number 21. The Gators,
- 34:31Speaker 3: a three-and-a-half-point favorite, 3.30 Eastern time on ABC.
- 34:35Speaker 2: This will be the game that follows our number one
- 34:37Speaker 2: game of the week.
- 34:38Speaker 3: How does Trinidad-Chambers follow up a 363-yard, three-touchdown performance? that
- 34:43Speaker 3: we saw in that highly emotional game against LSU.
- 34:47Speaker 2: It wasn't just the week or the day or the weekend.
- 34:50Speaker 3: It was a long time coming for that game to
- 34:52Speaker 3: happen for Ole Miss, and they delivered on the national stage.
- 34:56Speaker 2: How do they follow that up? Jaden Ball, by the way.
- 34:59Speaker 3: For Florida, he's rushed for at least 130 yards in
- 35:03Speaker 3: every game. He rushed for 162 in three touchdowns on
- 35:07Speaker 3: the road at Auburn last week. He is a force
- 35:09Speaker 3: of for that Florida offense under Buster Faulkner, who came
- 35:12Speaker 3: over from Georgia Tech to run that offense for John Sumrall.
- 35:16Speaker 2: Hutton, I love this game. I keep going back and
- 35:19Speaker 2: forth on who's going to win.
- 35:21Speaker 3: I truly cannot figure it out in this one, and
- 35:24Speaker 3: that's what makes for a top-notch SEC game.
- 35:26Speaker 1: How about Ole Miss just controlling all the drama of
- 35:29Speaker 1: the SEC to begin?
- 35:31Speaker 2: Did I read this right? They're averaging eight yards per
- 35:33Speaker 2: play offensively? That sounds right.
- 35:36Speaker 4: Whoa.
- 35:37Speaker 1: I mean, you weren't chunk yardage. You weren't explosive play calling.
- 35:42Speaker 2: The Rebels got it, man. Strike up the band.
- 35:46Speaker 3: How often are we going to strike up the band
- 35:48Speaker 3: for A & M? I think that's a question on
- 35:50Speaker 3: the mind of all the Aggie fans because Marcel Reed
- 35:52Speaker 3: has struggled for quite a bit.
- 35:54Speaker 2: Yeah, he has.
- 35:55Speaker 3: Number 23, Texas A & M at number 10, LSU. LSU,
- 35:59Speaker 3: an 8.5-point favorite, 7.30 Eastern time on ABC. Terry Bussey,
- 36:02Speaker 3: great wide receiver for A & M, out for the season.
- 36:05Speaker 2: Tough news.
- 36:06Speaker 3: For the Aggies, who are already struggling to get things
- 36:08Speaker 3: going offensively. Sam Leavitt, he's flashed at times. He's shown
- 36:12Speaker 3: that playmaking ability. He's made some big throws. He's made
- 36:15Speaker 3: some big plays. He's also got three touchdowns to five
- 36:18Speaker 3: INTs through three games so far. Marcel Reed's offense, by
- 36:24Speaker 3: the way, and that A & M offense, held us
- 36:25Speaker 3: seven points in the first three quarters against Kentucky.
- 36:28Speaker 2: Who's going to get it.
- 36:29Speaker 3: Going in this game? I really like LSU at home.
- 36:33Speaker 3: LSU at home at night, Lane Kiffin bouncing back. Kiffin's
- 36:37Speaker 3: making all these excuses all week. We rolled through some
- 36:40Speaker 3: of them earlier today on the show that he's been
- 36:42Speaker 3: making about that loss to Ole Miss. I think LSU
- 36:45Speaker 3: responds the right way. I think A & M is
- 36:47Speaker 3: going to be in a hole they probably can't get.
- 36:49Speaker 2: Out of after this week.
- 36:50Speaker 1: I think LSU's just that talented. The loss doesn't mean
- 36:54Speaker 1: they can't win the national title. I believe that. Believe it.
- 36:58Speaker 1: Believe it, no doubt.
- 36:59Speaker 2: Look, A & M' s talented.
- 37:01Speaker 1: But you've got packed talent on the LSU sideline. And
- 37:05Speaker 1: I think the home atmosphere, the eight and a half's weird.
- 37:07Speaker 1: I think that's just due in large part to the
- 37:09Speaker 1: rebound aspect of this game. No different than Ole Miss
- 37:12Speaker 1: on the road. But playing at home, favored.
- 37:15Speaker 2: By eight and a half.
- 37:16Speaker 1: I mean, if they weren't coming off the emotion of
- 37:18Speaker 1: last week, I mean, this is what, 10 or 11?
- 37:22Speaker 2: I mean that.
- 37:23Speaker 1: I could totally see that being the final score.
- 37:27Speaker 2: Separates the score into double digits here. Game number one.
- 37:31Speaker 3: No mistake, we'll be there with Sporting State over the weekend.
- 37:34Speaker 3: Number one, Texas, a four-point favorite, and this line is
- 37:38Speaker 3: changing a lot. At number 14, Tennessee, 12 noon Eastern
- 37:43Speaker 3: time on ABC. President Trump will be there. Matthew McConaughey
- 37:48Speaker 3: will likely be there. Johnny Knoxville will be there. Peyton
- 37:50Speaker 3: Manning will be there.
- 37:51Speaker 2: Many a dignitary will be attending this game in Knoxville.
- 37:55Speaker 3: Sporting State will be there. Sporting State will be there. Hutton,
- 37:58Speaker 3: I wish this game was at night. It's my one
- 38:00Speaker 3: regret about it. It's going to be a weird feeling
- 38:03Speaker 3: of people trying to get frothed up to go into
- 38:05Speaker 3: that game at 8, 9 in the morning because of
- 38:07Speaker 3: all the security measures also getting into that stadium early.
- 38:10Speaker 3: The weather looks perfect over the weekend in Knoxville. Not
- 38:13Speaker 3: going to be too hot. Definitely not going to be
- 38:15Speaker 3: too cold in the sunshine during the middle of that game.
- 38:18Speaker 3: It's going to be a perfect scene as Tennessee Orange
- 38:22Speaker 3: faces off against Burnt Orange.
- 38:24Speaker 2: And I got questions about Arch Manning.
- 38:26Speaker 3: You know, you look at the stats side by side.
- 38:29Speaker 3: They're basically the same as John Mateer. And we keep
- 38:32Speaker 3: knocking Oklahoma's offense. But Arch Manning has not come alive yet.
- 38:36Speaker 3: This is a great opportunity for him to do so.
- 38:38Speaker 2: Tennessee's defense is much improved.
- 38:40Speaker 3: Tennessee hadn't seen anything like Texas' defense that they're going
- 38:43Speaker 3: to see in this game so far. Can they run
- 38:45Speaker 3: it against Texas, who said their goal is to hold
- 38:48Speaker 3: Tennessee under 100 yards rushing? Tennessee's averaging almost 300 yards
- 38:51Speaker 3: a game. rushing the football so far. But this is Texas.
- 38:54Speaker 3: This isn't Kennesaw State. This isn't Furman. This isn't Georgia
- 38:57Speaker 3: Tech even. So how does Tennessee respond? How does the
- 39:01Speaker 3: 18-year-old true freshman quarterback play in this game? I think
- 39:04Speaker 3: the way Brandon and Arch Manning run the football, both
- 39:09Speaker 3: of them are capable of doing.
- 39:10Speaker 2: It, is going to have a big say in this game.
- 39:12Speaker 3: I think the way those big-time receivers play, Wingo and
- 39:15Speaker 3: Cam Coleman for Texas, Mike Matthews, Braylon Staley for Tennessee,
- 39:20Speaker 3: It's a fascinating matchup.
- 39:21Speaker 2: Tennessee's going to have a huge home field advantage. But again,
- 39:26Speaker 2: I like Tennessee at the games at night. I don't...
- 39:30Speaker 2: feel exactly the same way about this game being played
- 39:33Speaker 2: at noon.
- 39:33Speaker 1: Man, see, the whole comeback with Ohio State says a
- 39:37Speaker 1: lot about Arch Manning. Just his demeanor on the sideline.
- 39:42Speaker 1: He can handle things very well. How will Brandon handle things?
- 39:47Speaker 1: You know, if it's a little lopsided early, if they
- 39:50Speaker 1: get down double, if they're down 10 in the first quarter,
- 39:52Speaker 1: how does the Tennessee offense respond? And Chad, I know
- 39:56Speaker 1: you're confident in the overall talent level of Tennessee football
- 39:59Speaker 1: right now. So the X factors, the special teams, the defense,
- 40:06Speaker 1: are they going to be locked in to where everybody
- 40:09Speaker 1: helps the quarterback who's growing week to week, kind of
- 40:14Speaker 1: handle the highs and lows of what is going to
- 40:16Speaker 1: be a very emotional game There's a lot of hype
- 40:19Speaker 1: going into this, and rightfully so.
- 40:22Speaker 2: We know one quarterback can handle it. Arch can handle it.
- 40:25Speaker 1: Now can we see Tennessee's quarterback do it in a
- 40:28Speaker 1: spot where we just haven't seen him do it yet?
- 40:31Speaker 3: It feels like Tennessee needs, and the young quarterback needs,
- 40:34Speaker 3: a couple of short fields, whether that be a big
- 40:36Speaker 3: special teams play or a turnover or two that sets
- 40:39Speaker 3: Tennessee up in prime position to score a touchdown. That's
- 40:42Speaker 3: a tough spot to be in when you go into
- 40:43Speaker 3: a game feeling like one of the other teams needs
- 40:45Speaker 3: to turn it over. or we got to force some
- 40:47Speaker 3: turnovers to make this thing happen. But that's the underdog
- 40:49Speaker 3: in most games when you're talking about it. And Tennessee
- 40:52Speaker 3: is certainly capable of forcing some turnovers to.
- 40:55Speaker 2: This Texas team.
- 40:55Speaker 3: Look, I'm fascinated to see how ready Tennessee is for
- 40:58Speaker 3: a game like this. I think the Vols are only
- 41:00Speaker 3: going to get better. I think Faison Brandon's only going
- 41:03Speaker 3: to get better. But you play the games that are
- 41:05Speaker 3: in front of you. And this game's being played in
- 41:07Speaker 3: late September, and it's the SEC opener. It's a huge
- 41:11Speaker 3: one for both teams. So Hud and I can't wait
- 41:13Speaker 3: to get there. First matchup ever, right?
- 41:15Speaker 2: First matchup?
- 41:16Speaker 3: Those are the top 10 college, well, first ever regular
- 41:19Speaker 3: season matchup. They played in a bowl game three times.
- 41:22Speaker 3: Last time was in like the late 60s, though. Let's
- 41:24Speaker 3: quickly roll through top 10 college football games of the weekend,
- 41:28Speaker 3: starting with number 10, Vanderbilt at Auburn. Auburn, a nine
- 41:32Speaker 3: and a half point favorite. Game number nine, Oklahoma at Georgia.
- 41:36Speaker 3: Eight is South Carolina at number eight, Alabama. Number seven,
- 41:40Speaker 3: it's Pac-12 versus Mac, Boise State. in Kalamazoo to take
- 41:43Speaker 3: on Western Michigan. Number six, Iowa at Michigan. Five, Oregon
- 41:47Speaker 3: at USC. Number four, it's all SEC from here on out.
- 41:51Speaker 3: Number 19, Missouri at number 24, Mississippi State. Game number
- 41:54Speaker 3: three is number four, Ole Miss at number 21, Florida.
- 41:57Speaker 3: Number two, A & M and LSU, both teams trying
- 42:00Speaker 3: to bounce back. And game number one, the battle for
- 42:02Speaker 3: the real UT, Texas at Tennessee.
- 42:07Speaker 1: Imagine if game day didn't go to Tennessee, Texas, and
- 42:10Speaker 1: the president did. and they're at Western Michigan, and boy.
- 42:14Speaker 3: And they bring Ted Cruz back on instead of the
- 42:17Speaker 3: president just to smear people's face in it. Senator Cruz,
- 42:20Speaker 3: come back on and talk about the Protect College Sports Act.
- 42:22Speaker 3: We'll get you a flight to Kalamazoo, Michigan, so you
- 42:25Speaker 3: can take part in this broadcast.
- 42:27Speaker 2: That would be great.
- 42:28Speaker 1: This is going to be a fantastic weekend for college
- 42:31Speaker 1: football and for us and for those who are going
- 42:34Speaker 1: to roll with us because we've got the props that
- 42:38Speaker 1: we're playing going into the weekend. It's our Prop It

- 43:03Speaker 3: Wagon wheel, 8.15 Eastern time tonight in Knoxville. Come say hello.
- 43:08Speaker 3: Come hang out with us. It's going to be an
- 43:10Speaker 3: amazing scene. Levi Clark, a star catcher for the Tennessee Vols,
- 43:15Speaker 3: is going to join us also.

- 43:17Speaker 3: Come say hello and get the gigantic college football weekend
- 43:21Speaker 3: started the right way. And hey, if you're not in Knoxville,
- 43:24Speaker 3: we'll be live on YouTube. We'll be live wherever we
- 43:26Speaker 3: go live.

- 44:16Speaker 1: on Sundays, you choose your reward. So rewards and bonuses
- 44:20Speaker 1: all weekend through Hard Rock Bet. It is time for
- 44:23Speaker 1: Profit Like It's Hot. Chad, you may think I'm crazy.
- 44:29Speaker 1: But I'm taking the Titans with some props this weekend,
- 44:32Speaker 1: if you'd like to follow me.
- 44:34Speaker 2: I'm following. I'm jotting down notes right now, Hutton. Let's go.
- 44:37Speaker 2: I want to hear them.
- 44:39Speaker 1: Alec Eilmaner, over 14.5 yards receiving.
- 44:43Speaker 2: That's right.
- 44:44Speaker 1: His over-under is 14.5 yards receiving. He's the best receiver
- 44:48Speaker 1: on the roster right now for the Tennessee Titans. Despite
- 44:51Speaker 1: only playing like 50% of the snaps, he is the
- 44:53Speaker 1: team's leading receiver. And I would, if I'm Brian Dable,
- 44:58Speaker 1: I'm going to continue to feed him the football. All
- 45:00Speaker 1: he does is catch the football. Target him more, 14
- 45:03Speaker 1: and a half. I mean, to me, that's one of
- 45:05Speaker 1: his catches. I'm taking the over 14 and a half
- 45:09Speaker 1: for Isle Manor against the Giants. Speaking of the Giants, Chad,
- 45:13Speaker 1: former players for the Giants all over this Titans roster.
- 45:16Speaker 1: One of them is Wondell Robinson. I'm taking over three
- 45:20Speaker 1: and a half receptions in this game. I think he's
- 45:21Speaker 1: going to play well. He's going to be fired up
- 45:23Speaker 1: to play against his former team. This time last year,
- 45:26Speaker 1: through two games, he had 14 catches for 197 yards.
- 45:31Speaker 1: Right now, through two games, he has six catches for
- 45:35Speaker 1: 47 yards.
- 45:36Speaker 2: That has to change. There's a reason why Brian Dable
- 45:38Speaker 2: brought him in.
- 45:40Speaker 1: That has to change, and it needs to change immediately
- 45:43Speaker 1: with him being a safety valve for Cam Ward. And finally,
- 45:46Speaker 1: former Titan Malik Willis. I'm taking over 177.5 yards passing
- 45:51Speaker 1: for the Dolphins in the game against the Chiefs.
- 45:54Speaker 2: Why?
- 45:55Speaker 1: Because the Chiefs score in the red zone. 11 of
- 45:58Speaker 1: their 14 trips have resulted in touchdowns in the red zone.
- 46:03Speaker 1: And the Dolphins have been outscored 62-26. Miami's going to
- 46:06Speaker 1: be throwing the football a lot. And I think Malik
- 46:09Speaker 1: Willis can get over 177 yards passing.
- 46:11Speaker 2: Those are my three props for the weekend. Profit like
- 46:13Speaker 2: it's hot.
- 46:14Speaker 1: I love it, Hun.
- 46:15Speaker 3: So Ellicott Manor, Wandel Robinson, and Malik Willis. For Hutton's profit,
- 46:19Speaker 3: like I thought, I'm going to make it really simple.
- 46:21Speaker 3: Let's go to a little Friday night football action in
- 46:24Speaker 3: the Big Ten. I'm not exactly sure what's going to
- 46:27Speaker 3: happen in Indiana and Northwestern other than they're going to score.
- 46:31Speaker 2: Some points in that game. I don't think it's going
- 46:33Speaker 2: to be that close.
- 46:35Speaker 3: I was going back and forth on whether or not
- 46:37Speaker 3: they could cover the 21.5, they being Northwestern. But I
- 46:41Speaker 3: think that both teams combined will go over 49.5 points tonight.
- 46:46Speaker 2: With that game.
- 46:46Speaker 3: I believe our guy Timmy B is on the call
- 46:48Speaker 3: for that one. Timmy B is going to have a
- 46:50Speaker 3: lot of great touchdown calls in that game. Give me
- 46:53Speaker 3: the over in Northwestern at Indiana at 49 and a
- 46:56Speaker 3: half with Hard Rock Bet.
- 46:58Speaker 2: I like it. Love it. Believe it. Let's prop it
- 47:01Speaker 2: like it's hot. You can roll with us.
- 47:04Speaker 1: Join up and join us on the Hard Rock Bet app,
- 47:07Speaker 1: the Sportsbook app, Hardrock.bet.com. We'll be rolling all weekend and
- 47:12Speaker 1: posting our picks. We'll give you the results on Monday.
- 47:15Speaker 2: We own it. We own it. Chad, we were one
- 47:18Speaker 2: injury away.
- 47:19Speaker 1: Saquon Barkley, an injury away from cashing in last weekend.
- 47:23Speaker 1: Do the Vols get the victory, Chad? I'm saying they're
- 47:25Speaker 1: going to cover this. I'm taking the points. I have
- 47:29Speaker 1: all week. I'm expecting a very, very good game tomorrow.
- 47:34Speaker 3: I'm expecting a good competitive game, a hostile environment. If
- 47:37Speaker 3: this game were at night, I would take the Vols.
- 47:39Speaker 3: I think Texas wins in a very close game in
- 47:42Speaker 3: this one. But I think we're going to find out
- 47:45Speaker 3: a lot about both Arch Manning and Faison Brandon in
- 47:48Speaker 3: this game. We're going to find out a lot about
- 47:50Speaker 3: that Jim Knowles defense for Tennessee also. I like Texas,
- 47:54Speaker 3: a team that we know a little bit more about
- 47:56Speaker 3: at this stage in the game, to win a close
- 47:59Speaker 3: one over Tennessee.
- 48:01Speaker 1: It's going to be fantastic. Hey, enjoy Knoxville, man. Tonight's
- 48:03Speaker 1: going to be electric. It's going to be nuts. And
- 48:08Speaker 1: tell the ladies I said hello, if you don't.
- 48:10Speaker 2: Mind, Kelly and Ariel.
- 48:11Speaker 3: It's a homecoming for me, and I'll have to show
- 48:13Speaker 3: Kelly and Ariel around my home throughout the weekend at Knoxville.
- 48:16Speaker 2: I can't wait to get back. God's country. God's country.
- 48:19Speaker 1: Hey, enjoy the football weekend to all of our great
- 48:23Speaker 1: season ticket holders to Hutton and Withrow.
- 48:25Speaker 2: We're presented by Hard Rock Bet. We'll catch you Monday.
