- 26:12there ever was, and I read it from cover to cover to cover,

- 26:19into it tonight. I wanna get right to the teaching, and
- 26:23hopefully just really kind of go back through some things. Now, I
- 26:28talked a little bit on, tonight I wanted to talk about
- 26:32recognizing genuine prophecy and prophets, genuine prophetic
- 26:36ministry, and again, I always kind of open with this. I kind
- 26:39of went a different direction the last time, I guess I'll say
- 26:42it that way, talking about how to minister in the prophetic and
- 26:46do it with taste and grace and class. But then I found these
- 26:50notes that, I don't know, I hadn't preached it all the first
- 26:53time, so I thought, well, I'd go back. And I know Pastor Hank has
- 26:57talked a little bit on false prophets, true prophets, and I
- 27:00mean, I couldn't even begin to match the revelation that he
- 27:03carries in that. book. And if you didn't get a hold of that, I
- 27:05think all of these are out on OVTV. So get out there and check
- 27:09those out. It's just his understanding of the prophetic.
- 27:13He really digs deep in just the anointing of the prophetic and
- 27:18prophets and prophecy. And so get out there and check that
- 27:22out. But I circled back on these notes and I found them. And I
- 27:26was like, "Man, I didn't preach some of this." So I've got to
- 27:28kind of go back and talk about just how to recognize genuine
- 27:33prophecy and prophetic ministry. So I want to go to tonight to 2
- 27:38Peter. Let's just read this Scripture and 2 Peter chapter 2.
- 27:48And let's just start at verse 1. I'm just going to read a couple
- 27:50of these, but this is an important verse. And by the way,
- 27:55I really encourage you to read all of this, this whole chapter,
- 27:59because it really makes a description on how God views
- 28:05those that are involved in error and those that are false. But it
- 28:09says here in verse 1, "But there were false prophets also among
- 28:15the people," talking about in the Old Testament, right? This
- 28:18is in the Old Covenant. "There were false prophets among the
- 28:21people, or among the people, even as there shall be false
- 28:27teachers among you." Now, so it brings out false prophets in the
- 28:33Old Covenant, and we see a lot of that mentioned. We don't see
- 28:36it as much in the New Testament. It is mentioned, but it's not as
- 28:40common as it is in the Old Testament. And interestingly, if
- 28:44you want to just kind of put a little circle or a note around
- 28:47the word prophet there, the Strong's kind of uses a phrase
- 28:51or it uses the word in there, "impostor." Okay, so this is not
- 28:57just talking about people that make genuine, honest mistakes.
- 29:02How many of you know, not one of us is perfect. Not even as I get
- 29:08up here and I preach the Word, teach the Scriptures, not one of
- 29:11us knows the whole counsel of God. Not one of us is revelatory
- 29:16perfect. Not one of us knows everything. And the reason in
- 29:21the Bible Paul talked about that if a prophet prophesies, there
- 29:26should be those that can bring a scrutiny or a judgment to it to
- 29:30ascertain whether or not that prophetic word was legitimate or
- 29:35not. And we'll talk about that here in a little bit as we get
- 29:37into some of this. So, the prophets of the Old Testament
- 29:40were really egregious, I should say it like this, egregious
- 29:45impostors. They were deceivers. They were not people trying to,
- 29:51when you're talking about the old covenant, it was not to, I
- 29:56guess I'll say it this way, to, you know, make an honest
- 29:59mistake. It was egregious, deliberate error. Okay. This is
- 30:05the, the false prophets of the old covenant. And I want you to
- 30:08understand that because I think in this time people are so up in
- 30:13arms over the prophetic, like, is that a false prophet? Is
- 30:16who's a false? I mean, I mean, the mayhem that went through the
- 30:192020 election over the Trump prophecies and all of these
- 30:24things. And I'll talk about this as we get a little bit into it.
- 30:28In my viewpoint, from what I can ascertain from scripture, was
- 30:33really exaggerated. It was so brought out so extremely. First
- 30:37of all, I'll just say this and that. So many people, prophetic.
- 30:41Now, Pastor will tell you his prophetic journey in the 45th
- 30:47president goes way back to 9/11. And so he's been prophesying a
- 30:52journey. He didn't just rise up one day and go, "Man, I like
- 30:55Trump, I'm gonna prophesy about him." He didn't do that. That I
- 30:58know, I know for a fact. And I believe there were people that
- 31:01did do that. So they couldn't hold to what they felt. But you
- 31:05cannot tell me that there are this many prophets. Come on,
- 31:12Christians. Come on, we all have the Holy Spirit. Christians,
- 31:17intercessors. Come on, how many of you are intercessors? You
- 31:20pray, you intercede for America. You can't tell me there are this
- 31:24many of us that all felt what we felt. And when I say we, this is
- 31:28a collective growing, a collective large number of
- 31:33people felt what they felt about the anointing on Donald John
- 31:37Trump and that we're all that crazy and we just missed it. And
- 31:41it was because we just really wanted this guy. No, there were
- 31:45visions, there were dreams, there were things people saw in
- 31:49the spirit that you can't argue with, you can't deny. So that
- 31:53doesn't make this whole group a false group. Okay? That's not
- 31:59the point. The false of the Old Covenant, which you will read,
- 32:02and in the New Testament, are those that have egregious,
- 32:07purposeful intent to deceive. And we'll kind of talk about
- 32:11that character as we go through some of this. But I want to set
- 32:14that up because I feel like people get, and well let me read
- 32:18the rest of this, because I'm, and then I'll say, make my
- 32:21point. It said, "There were false prophets or impostors also
- 32:25among the people, even as there shall be false teachers." Now,
- 32:30this false teacher is people that propagate teachings of
- 32:34error. "Among you who shall privately or secretly or
- 32:39covertly bring damnable heresies or destructive doctrines, even
- 32:47denying the Lord that bought them." Now, here's what I want
- 32:52to say. When it comes to doctrine, when it comes to
- 32:55teaching, when it comes to truth and understanding the truth of
- 32:59the Bible, first of all, we have to get down the fact that not
- 33:02one of us knows it all. Aren't we glad we're growing? Aren't we
- 33:06glad we're all growing? Aren't we glad that we have the room
- 33:10and the ability through the Holy Spirit? I was thinking about, in
- 33:13fact, I read this, maybe we'll go to it. It was Apollos, if you
- 33:17read this in Acts the 18th chapter, Apollos, the Bible
- 33:21says, was a man of the Spirit. He knew the Scriptures mightily.
- 33:26In fact, there they have it up there. It was a certain Jew
- 33:28named Apollos, born in Alexandria, an eloquent man. In
- 33:33other words, he was a good preacher. And he was mighty in
- 33:36the scriptures. So did he know the Word? He was a man that knew
- 33:39the Word. He was mighty in scriptures. He came to Ephesus,
- 33:44verse 25, and it says, "This man was instructed in the way of the
- 33:48Lord and being fervent in the Spirit." So he was intense. He
- 33:53knew the scriptures. So you would say this is a man that is
- 33:57genuinely called of God. He spoke and taught diligently the
- 34:02things of the Lord, but he only understood the baptism of John.
- 34:05So look at verse 26, it says, "And he began to speak boldly,
- 34:11he began to speak boldly in the synagogue, who when Aquila and
- 34:15Priscilla heard him, they took him to them," or they got
- 34:19together with him, and expounded unto him the way of God more
- 34:23perfectly. Keep reading. And it says, "And when he was disposed
- 34:28to pass into Aquila, and the brethren wrote," or they wrote
- 34:31the brethren there when he was going to that region, "exhorting
- 34:36the disciples to receive him." Okay, they did not get on
- 34:40Facebook and say, "Oh my goodness, he preached that. I
- 34:42can't even believe he said that." They didn't do any of
- 34:45that. They didn't get all up in arms because he was preaching
- 34:48something that needed adjustment. They didn't get
- 34:53themselves all in a knot and start having, you know, letter
- 34:55wars. I don't know how they had, what was social media back then?
- 34:58I guess maybe, you know, they wrote each other notes. I can't
- 35:01believe you agreed with that guy. And then passed it, took
- 35:04them to each other's houses. If this was today, come on, if this
- 35:08was today, I mean Facebook would be exploding. I can't believe he
- 35:13preached that. And, but it, this whole section here, when here
- 35:20they had given him some instruction to develop his
- 35:23revelation, they said, now you receive him. Now this is no
- 35:27different than the book of Acts, Acts the 17th chapter. The Bible
- 35:32says the Bereans were more noble than those that were in
- 35:36Thessalonica. That's what the Scripture says, they were better
- 35:39because they received the Word. They didn't criticize it out the
- 35:45gate. And this is what is so important in discerning whether
- 35:49it be the prophetic, whether it be preaching, whether it be a
- 35:52message you heard online, whether it be somebody's book
- 35:56that you read, to understand the genuine is you take the Word and
- 36:01you pull it. It's like Brother Hagin used to say, sometimes
- 36:03you're going to have to pull the meat off and spit some bones.
- 36:07It's going to be like that. But that doesn't make the delivery
- 36:10person a false minister or a false prophet or a false
- 36:16teacher. There's so much more that goes into it. And I say
- 36:20that because I watch people so much get up, up in arms over
- 36:25this person and claim that revelation. They had that
- 36:29vision. They had that dream. They had that prophecy. And
- 36:33people are just like melting over. And I'm like, come on,
- 36:37y'all. Are you like losing your salvation here? Are we that dumb
- 36:43that we're all just like falling off the planet and shooting off
- 36:46in a shoot straight to the gate of hell because somebody said
- 36:50something that we didn't think was right? Okay, so this is
- 36:59important. If we're going to make it in the last days, we
- 37:02have to know how to navigate. Now, I'm going to give you the
- 37:04stuff that will help put your guard up when you need to. But I
- 37:08think some of the things I'll say in Christendom, we get way
- 37:11too - and this is why the world capitalizes on our divisions.
- 37:16Because we're so busy and ready to go and crucify somebody
- 37:20because we didn't like something they said. And the next thing
- 37:23you know, we got to make a post, and we got to write a book, and
- 37:26we got to send it out. In fact, I heard somebody say, you
- 37:29marinate on something before you go preach against it. And the
- 37:34Bereans did that. It said, and they went back after they heard
- 37:37the preaching that they didn't understand and they went back
- 37:41after the preaching and they searched the scriptures daily to
- 37:47see if these things be so. Now say, but Pastor Brenda, I hear
- 37:52people say things that they're not in the Bible. Well, yeah,
- 37:55God, there are things that aren't in the Bible. I'm going
- 37:57to talk about that. There are things that are not in the Bible
- 38:00that God does reveal. Okay. Those of you that are believing
- 38:07God tonight for to get a new job, you know, God's not going
- 38:10to walk up, you know, or God's not going to walk up and show
- 38:14you a scripture. There's not a scripture in the Bible says, go
- 38:16apply a Walmart. Right? I mean, come on now. So there are
- 38:26revelations and things that we see. The Bible says in 1
- 38:30Corinthians 13, we now, whether you be a prophet, a teacher, a
- 38:35revelator, an intercessor, a person with the gift of the word
- 38:38of knowledge, whatever gifting of the Holy Spirit you might
- 38:42carry, all of us see the Bible says, "Through a glass darkly."
- 38:49That's why sometimes prophets will get up, you know, the
- 38:51apostle John, we still don't know what in the world he saw.
- 38:56He thought it was grasshoppers. I've heard the best scholars
- 38:59say, "I'm sure it was helicopters." Well, we don't
- 39:02know that. We don't know that. But what we do know is as people
- 39:06revelate, more than just the word itself, you cannot judge
- 39:12false, except under certain circumstances, which I am gonna
- 39:15cover tonight. I told you this was a long preaching. But you
- 39:19cannot assess the true and the false, most of the time, based
- 39:25on just the initial thing that you hear. Because we go through
- 39:31a whole lot of things. Listen, I mean, I told, I've told this
- 39:35story hundreds of times that I almost missed a powerful word by
- 39:39a prophetic minister that called us out because I didn't like
- 39:42that man's hair. I thought, you know, looking all crazy. It was
- 39:47in his eyes and he was in flip-flops. And as far as I was
- 39:50concerned at that time, you don't wear flip-flops to church.
- 39:52I mean, I've reduced to tennis shoes, but it's okay. But in my
- 39:58mind, shorts and flip-flops was not the way a guest speaker
- 40:01ought to dress. And I thought, I can't. And one of the prophecies
- 40:04he gave was, "You are going to pastor a church, son and
- 40:06daughter. You're going to raise up this." I thought, he is a
- 40:08fool. He has missed it. This was years before Lord of Hosts
- 40:11Church. I thought, "We're never going to pastor a church." Be
- 40:14careful what you say never to. So just because I didn't like
- 40:19him, I was ready to call him out as an error. And we have to be
- 40:24so careful. And now, of course, I know I harp all the time on
- 40:28social media, but social media has enabled so much bad
- 40:33behavior. It has just enabled us. It has enabled us to
- 40:37criticize, speak out, post things, and write things, and
- 40:42all of this that sometimes we don't take the time to first of
- 40:46all get counsel. We're going to talk about that. We don't take
- 40:50the time to get other input. We don't take the time to be like
- 40:53the Bereans and search the scriptures daily. And sometimes
- 40:57we don't just wait and let things marinate. Come on,
- 41:00because you didn't agree with somebody, does that really mean,
- 41:04I mean seriously, you think the whole body of Christ is gonna go
- 41:07to hell over that one person that you have just got to get
- 41:09out your statement? All right, don't shut me down because I'm
- 41:14preaching good tonight. This is prophetic school, we're
- 41:17teaching. This is a good place to take notes. Now, here is
- 41:22where you immediately get up in arms. And I'm gonna talk about
- 41:26the characteristics of the genuine. I wanna really get into
- 41:30that tonight, 'cause I think it is very important that we look
- 41:33at this. Now, realize you're gonna add to this revelation as
- 41:36you get home. If you take time to study, you can go back in,
- 41:39take the things that I've been sharing and build upon it,
- 41:43'cause I have 45 minutes or so to go through all this. But I
- 41:48encourage you, take the time, take the bones of what I'm
- 41:51saying, and then go back and study it out. Now, here is where
- 41:56our alerters on whether it's a prophet, a preacher, a pastor,
- 42:03any of the fivefold gifts and a claimed apostle, the Bible, Paul
- 42:07said that there's some that say they're apostles, they're not.
- 42:11Any person, let's take it the next step, a YouTuber, a
- 42:16blogger, come on, any one of these, here's where we are alert
- 42:23should come in. Number one is when they start to tap on
- 42:27denying the basic tenets. Say, "Pastor, what are the basic
- 42:31tenets?" Well, you could look at all the basic tenets out there,
- 42:34but I'm going to just give you the eight that I put together.
- 42:37Some of these could be separated, but I want to make it
- 42:39easy for you. These are the important things everybody
- 42:42should understand and know. And when you see false that goes
- 42:46against the basic tenets of the foundation of the root of our
- 42:50Christian faith, then, and believe me, they come disguised.
- 42:54They're more common than you think. So here they are. Just
- 42:58note them, mark them, study them. In fact, this is your
- 43:02homework. I guess in prophetic school we can give homework,
- 43:04right? Pastor Keith, can we give homework in prophetic school?
- 43:08This is your homework, is to go and study, 'cause I can't give
- 43:11you all the scriptures that support it, but then you can go
- 43:14look them up. Number one, here's the basic tenets. There is one
- 43:17God, manifest in three persons. So now that's a big one that's
- 43:23come up again, because people are all saying, oh, well,
- 43:26there's many gods. And that was something you didn't hear a lot.
- 43:30Now you're starting to hear that resurface again a lot more. That
- 43:35goes against my basic tenets. There's one God in three, the
- 43:40Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. And one scripture for
- 43:43that is 1 John 5:7. There's three. These three are one, the
- 43:47Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit. Scripture's plastered
- 43:50with it. That is a non-negotiable, non-changeable.
- 43:54Yep, people are changing it now. Here's another one. So be
- 43:57listening for these things. Number two, Jesus is the only
- 44:02and first begotten Son of God, born of a virgin. And he came in
- 44:06the flesh in human form. 1 John 4:1-2, "Beloved, don't
- 44:12believe every spirit, but test them whether they're of God,
- 44:16because many false prophets are gone in the world. Hereby you
- 44:20will know the Spirit of God, that every spirit that confesses
- 44:23that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God." Now, let
- 44:26me just clarify that. Just, there are a lot of false that
- 44:30will say, "Oh no, Jesus is the only way," or "Jesus is,"
- 44:34they'll say, "Jesus has come in the flesh." But the ones that
- 44:37are held to the fact that Jesus came in the flesh as a human
- 44:42being, He came in the flesh in human form, and hold to that,
- 44:47it's hard to remain false when you hold to that principle. Now,
- 44:52Mark, note that. It's very important. The third one, the
- 44:56death. Oh, and interesting, let me say another thing on that
- 45:00second one, that Jesus is being the Son of God. There's a load
- 45:03of religions out there that secularism, humanism is
- 45:06promoting right now that will say, well, Jesus wasn't the Son
- 45:09of God, He was just a prophet. Okay, He was a good man. And
- 45:16there are Christian groups that are just making Him out not to
- 45:19be so much the Son of God, but some philanthropist somewhere.
- 45:23So we've got to be, of all the things we need to look for right
- 45:27now, come on, the basic tenets, these are the non-negotiables.
- 45:32So Jesus is the only and first begotten, the reason it also
- 45:36says in the New Testament, the first begotten, 'cause there
- 45:38were many sons and daughters to come, that's you and I. Number
- 45:41three, the death and physical bodily resurrection of Jesus
- 45:46Christ, right? Romans 10:9, if you confess that Jesus is
- 45:49Lord and that believe in your heart that God has raised him
- 45:51from the dead, you shall be saved. Number four, salvation is
- 45:55through Jesus Christ alone. We're seeing that come up again.
- 45:59Jesus said, "I'm the door. I'm the way, I'm the truth." John
- 46:0314:6 "I'm the life. No man comes to the father but by me." And
- 46:07I'm telling you, the culture right now wants to press us on
- 46:09that topic. Okay they want to press us on that. "What do you
- 46:15mean? I mean, what a bigot you are for saying that there's
- 46:18only, that Jesus is the only way. How dare you say that?"
- 46:21Come on, this is, we're seeing this come up again and again.
- 46:24They're hitting our children with it in the schools. So, know
- 46:28your basic tenets. Again, you guys are going to look up other
- 46:31scriptures to all these. This is your homework assignment.
- 46:34You don't have to turn it in. You can
- 46:36give yourself an A or an F. It's whatever you
- 46:38want to do. Prophetic school, you get to grade
- 46:41yourself. How's that? The fifth one is the Bible is the
- 46:46inerrant and inspired Word of God. 2 Timothy 3:16, all
- 46:50scripture is given by inspiration of God and is
- 46:52profitable for doctrine, instruction, reproof, correction
- 47:00and instruction in righteousness. I said that
- 47:02backwards. Instruction, correction and instruction in
- 47:05righteousness. So people that deny the word. I would be wary
- 47:12of being in any church where the pastor was barely opening the
- 47:15Bible. Okay. I would. And a lot of them are doing it. They're
- 47:20preaching movie themes and I'm not here to down on pastors, but
- 47:23you can drive by churches and they'll be like the latest movie
- 47:26that's out, they'll make sermons that match it. And I'm like,
- 47:31again, I'm not here to say maybe that's all bad. Maybe there was
- 47:35something in it, but I'm just going to say, I don't know. If I
- 47:37want to see a movie, I'm going to go to the movie, but I want
- 47:40to hear preaching that I can chew on. I want to hear
- 47:44preaching that'll challenge me. I want to hear the word. I want
- 47:48to grow in the scriptures. Come on. I want some Bible attached
- 47:52to what I'm hearing. And so if a preacher can, and there's no
- 47:57preacher that can give you enough scripture to satisfy your
- 48:00life on a Sunday or a Wednesday, but I want to hear the word
- 48:03coming out of my pastor's mouth. That's a fact. Come on, folks.
- 48:08So there's a lot of that that's just kind of gone out the window
- 48:11in the American church, that pastors are, you know, maybe
- 48:14touching on a scripture. Now, just again, let's not get crazy
- 48:17here because there are times you might hear someone get up and
- 48:20the way the anointing is flowing, they're not going to
- 48:22open to 15 verses. I've seen that. That's okay. But normally,
- 48:27but that's how, how are they normally? That's what we want to
- 48:30have. The Bible is the inerrant inspired word of God. And of
- 48:34course people are trying to chop that apart, take it out. Some
- 48:37translations leave parts off. I mean, it's, it's so all right.
- 48:41Number six, we're born sinners. Salvation is by grace and not
- 48:45works. Ephesians 2:8-9 says for by grace are you saved
- 48:48through faith, not that of yourselves. It's the gift of
- 48:50God, not of works as any man should boast. So everyone is
- 48:54born in sin. We can't work our way to heaven. We couldn't do
- 48:57enough good things, right, to work our way. There's whole
- 49:01religions that teach that. You're going to rise the ladder,
- 49:05and somehow you might make it to God and all of that. So that is
- 49:10very important. You must know that. In fact, I would study the
- 49:13grace teaching, because there's imbalances that have gone on
- 49:17with that. But you know, you can do whatever and still be saved
- 49:21by grace. Number seven, the second coming of Jesus Christ on
- 49:26earth to reign. Acts 1:11, know this scripture. It says, "For
- 49:29you men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing to heaven? The same
- 49:32Jesus that was taken up shall come the same way he left."
- 49:36Second coming of Jesus. And by the way, and that's a good
- 49:39reason to go and read 2 Peter 2-3. It all talks about people
- 49:45that deny the second coming. So you need to know about that.
- 49:48Number eight, heaven. And here's a big one, folks. Heaven and
- 49:51hell are real. And all of us will spend eternity in one or
- 49:57the other. All right. I won't spend time giving you scriptures
- 50:00on that, but those are the basics of the tenets. You can
- 50:03break them out a little bit farther if you want to. Some
- 50:05people make ten. But those are the non-negotiables. And I
- 50:09listen, when I listen, when I'm hearing preaching, and
- 50:12especially preaching and teaching, when I'm hearing these
- 50:15things, I look for things that deny those. And if a pastor gets
- 50:19up and I try to separate, I try to be careful, you know, are
- 50:25they saying that out of just a lack of knowledge, or is there
- 50:29an underlying intent to break the basic tenets of the faith?
- 50:34So it's so important. And I would just say this, I think
- 50:37it's really important for the body of Christ to be up in arms,
- 50:40but not up in arms. Can I say that? Because if we're too up in
- 50:45arms, we become critics. You know, and sadly, there are many,
- 50:49and now with the internet, there are so many people that can sit
- 50:53at home like armchair pastors, and just criticize everything,
- 50:59and pick apart everything, and yet they couldn't do half the
- 51:02things that that pastor is doing. So it's really important.
- 51:06I don't mean to sound negative, but it's just necessary, because
- 51:09the world is looking right now at how we're treating each
- 51:11other. And we need to be united. We need to be on one front. We
- 51:17need to have one mind. Come on, the scripture says one accord.
- 51:21We need to be united together. And I have found out, listen,
- 51:25I've served God for 40 years. There's very few people I've had
- 51:28to just walk away from because they were so egregiously
- 51:30erroneous. They started denying fact, pastor and I years ago got
- 51:34connected to one minister that somebody had recommended. And in
- 51:37the early, early years, we even had them in the church. And then
- 51:40they started knocking on the door of hell is hell. Hell is
- 51:45just a place where maybe you don't get to talk to God every
- 51:49day. I'm like, check. So I listen for those things, okay?
- 51:56And of course, they went right out down the road into
- 51:58universalism teaching there is no literal hell. So it's
- 52:02important, be alert in the last days. Be alert as you listen,
- 52:06but don't ride around in the van or the wheels of criticism all
- 52:11the time because you can get in one ditch or the other. So this
- 52:14is very important and I'm just setting this up and taking my
- 52:17time in it because I have watched in recent times where
- 52:21there is so much bickering and fighting. I mean, somebody can't
- 52:25say anything on the internet without somebody coming in with
- 52:29a criticism. I mean, it's amazing. And the reason that, in
- 52:33fact, in this church, the reason we will kill those comments,
- 52:36well, you don't want anybody to disagree, no. This is a church
- 52:38service. You come in here, I mean, to me, getting online and
- 52:43criticizing the preaching or the singing or the prophesying or
- 52:46somebody's hair and saying those kinds of things, that would get
- 52:50you banned. Plain and simple. Because we ought to know how to
- 52:55behave in the house of God. To me, it's no different when
- 52:58somebody gets on and criticizes online, any different than
- 53:03somebody stood up in the church while Pastor Anka's preaching
- 53:05and heckled him in the middle of the service. There's people
- 53:08online that are desperate. They need to hear. They're trying to
- 53:11get a word from God. They're trying to connect to the
- 53:13anointing. Some of them can't get in a church. And the last
- 53:17thing they need to see is somebody getting on the internet
- 53:20and being an armchair quarterback critic, preaching
- 53:24and teaching and trying to be a preacher. I know it all on the
- 53:27internet. All right. Glad I got that off my chest. No, it's just
- 53:35wrong. It's wrong. It's wrong. Okay. We don't have to pretend
- 53:38we all know it all. It's really important. All right. Let's talk
- 53:42about ways to spot the genuine. I talked a little bit about the
- 53:45false and the basic tenants. I felt like that was important to
- 53:50give that to you. So, let me just say it this way. The first
- 53:55and I think the foremost important thing on any preacher,
- 53:59minister, prophesier, it's important in the church, let's
- 54:04just say. Not just people that are in the pulpits or have a
- 54:08YouTube channel, but I'm talking about as you know one another.
- 54:12That the most important thing is knowing people's character. Now,
- 54:18this does not get said. I know ministers that have been flogged
- 54:23online, and yet they have better character than the people that
- 54:27flogged them. More Christ-like behavior. Come on, things that
- 54:33nobody thinks about. More forgiveness, more
- 54:36love, more kind words. You know, and of course
- 54:39our love is going to be one of the things that's going
- 54:41to get us in big trouble. If we don't have it, right? So the
- 54:45character of the person, now let me just make note of a couple of
- 54:49things. This is too heavy tonight. Am I helping everybody?
- 54:52I want our church to be sharp. I want us to be people that know
- 54:55how to do it right. So here's what we know from the Bible,
- 54:58that false prophets are not just measured alone by the accuracy
- 55:03of their prophecies. Now we'll get to talking about accuracy in
- 55:06a minute, but that's not the only reason, but there's a way
- 55:09to judge them. Even though that's a role, that's important,
- 55:13their genuineness is measured by their character. Now, here's the
- 55:19thing, we can't always know everybody's character, come on,
- 55:22you don't know everybody's darkest secrets, you don't know
- 55:24everything about everybody. You probably could look around this
- 55:27room and don't even know what flavor toothpaste most people
- 55:30like. You probably, people that you think you know well, you
- 55:35probably, there's lots of things about them you don't know that
- 55:37well. But there are certain character traits that do start
- 55:42to come out as you build acquaintances. So as we listen
- 55:46to preaching, as we listen to somebody with a YouTube,
- 55:51somebody with a Facebook page, because goodness, I mean,
- 55:54information is just coming at us at a record rate. I mean, it's
- 55:58like a fire hose of stuff, just, you know, and sometimes you
- 56:02don't have time to pause and think about it. And I'm learning
- 56:06more and more. I pause and think about it. I'm not going to just
- 56:09like something until I let it marinate. Okay. Steaks are
- 56:14always better if you marinate them first. Isn't that right,
- 56:19Pastor Shane? Or ribs or whatever else. Sometimes there
- 56:23is value to the marinating. Just because they're your friend on
- 56:27Facebook doesn't mean you have to like their post. They'll get
- 56:31over it. If they don't, then there's unfriending them. You
- 56:35can unfriend them then. But we need to be able to look at the
- 56:39character of things and sometimes let it marinate a bit,
- 56:43not just jump to conclusions. And this is so, so very
- 56:47important. Now Pastor Brenda, how then can you know the
- 56:50character of people, right? How can you know the character of
- 56:53people like on the internet? Because internet ministry is a
- 56:56real thing now. And there's a lot of people to listen to and a
- 56:59lot of good people. Let's not, there's so many good people to
- 57:02listen to and you should follow their pages and let that feed
- 57:05your spirit. I mean, my goodness, how much better it is
- 57:08to listen to some preaching pages and some of these stupid
- 57:11things with these media outlets that do nothing but fire out
- 57:15propaganda. So it's a good thing. It's a good thing that we
- 57:20have all that coming to us and at us and the availability to
- 57:24minister to people via the internet. It's all good. But
- 57:27here is how you look at character, because you're never
- 57:30going to know that person personally, probably through the
- 57:33camera lens, right? Okay. You know, Pastor and I would love to
- 57:36meet everybody that's online, but it's impossible. We can
- 57:40barely meet the people right in here. Like 20 minutes, okay,
- 57:43church is over. Hi guys. And we run out and come back and do the
- 57:4611:30. It's very difficult. It's very difficult for some of you
- 57:51to meet people that are sit, that always sit on this side on
- 57:54a Sunday. From the ones that are set on the north side. Okay. And
- 58:01people believe me, most of the time they're pretty set on their
- 58:04chairs. I can look out every Sunday and I always know Bernice
- 58:07is right nearby. So, it's a fact, right? So, here's the
- 58:13thing. How do you get to know people's character? Because
- 58:16there's a consistency that's developed. And this is very
- 58:19important. As you listen to different preachers, as you
- 58:21listen to people, look for the consistency and reliability of
- 58:27their character. Character issues, if they're in there,
- 58:31will eventually come out. Jesus said, "Out of the abundance of a
- 58:35person's heart, their mouth is eventually gonna talk," or
- 58:37they're gonna do things. You're gonna start to see things,
- 58:40right, that are gonna come out in a person's character. Yeah,
- 58:43you may not get to know them personally, but if you listen to
- 58:45them enough, you're gonna understand their message, okay?
- 58:49Most people understand Pastor Hank's core message, okay?
- 58:53People know that. It's prophetic, right? He'll preach
- 58:56prophecy, okay? Listen, that's just gonna be the way he's gonna
- 59:00roll. It's like Kenneth E. Hagen used to say, "No matter what
- 59:03subject I try to preach, it always comes back to faith and
- 59:07healing 'cause I just can't help it. That's who I am. It's what
- 59:12comes out of me." That's why we do have many different voices.
- 59:14It's why we have different types of prophets. It's why we have
- 59:17different kinds of teachers and pastors so we can get a full
- 59:21measure of what we understand. But look for their character,
- 59:26okay? Look for their integrity. After you listen to somebody
- 59:30long enough, you can start to see their intention and their
- 59:34heart. And this is so necessary, okay? This is important. I mean,
- 59:39that's always our prayer here at Lord of Hosts. So we want people
- 59:42to see the character of the Kunnemans, that we do things as
- 59:46uprightly as we know how to do, that we will get our heart right
- 59:50if we have to. We will manage money correctly. In fact, that's
- 59:54one of the signs of the false prophets, they mishandle money.
- 59:57You know how many Christians probably do mishandle money and
- 1:00:00just nobody knows, okay? We worked very hard to handle the
- 1:00:05money of this house with impeccable integrity, with
- 1:00:10auditing, outside firms, we worked very hard. It's important
- 1:00:17that you get to know the character of the person that you
- 1:00:19listen to. It's impeccable. 'Cause if there's a bend inside
- 1:00:25of them that's deceptive, it's gonna start to arise and you'll
- 1:00:27know it. And listen, you have the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit
- 1:00:31in you is gonna teach you. That's what the Bible says in 1
- 1:00:34John. It says, "The Spirit within us will teach us all
- 1:00:38things." So you'll listen to 'em long enough. In fact, I can tell
- 1:00:42you a good story about this. There was this person that we
- 1:00:46knew years ago. And they invited me to come to this women's
- 1:00:52conference just to attend it. I wasn't preaching there. And it
- 1:00:55was a pretty big group of people. And I went up there all
- 1:00:59by myself. I drove and went to this. I told pastor, you know,
- 1:01:02now he'd never even let me do that now. And I'm like, why? You
- 1:01:04think I'm going to get lost or drive in the wrong street? I
- 1:01:07don't know. He tells scary stories about it. But I got
- 1:01:09there. And I went to this meeting. And the preacher at the
- 1:01:16time, not the person that invited me, but it was another
- 1:01:18person that was preaching that night, preached something that
- 1:01:23it really did great against the Word. How many of you ever been
- 1:01:26in a room like that? Now, listen, there is full liberty.
- 1:01:31If you hear something preached, you don't have to stand and
- 1:01:33shout an amen to it if you're not sure about it. Doesn't mean
- 1:01:37it's necessarily wrong, okay? Sometimes you just gotta go home
- 1:01:40and study, okay? I've had that many times. I've heard that a
- 1:01:43lot. Sometimes like, "Man, I never heard that before." I
- 1:01:46mean, really, do we really think we come to church and we've
- 1:01:48heard everything there is? No. So I heard what this person said
- 1:01:54and I'm like, "Man, that's, I'm not sure about that." And of
- 1:01:58course the whole place is standing up and just screaming.
- 1:02:00I mean, they're shouting. I was kind of in the back and I,
- 1:02:04because I was a little bit late, but I got in there in the back
- 1:02:07and I'm sitting in there and the whole place is just shouting and
- 1:02:10they're screaming, this person is saying this and I'm thinking,
- 1:02:11Lord, I don't know about that. I just don't know about that, I'm
- 1:02:16not sure. And it just kind of goes against something that I
- 1:02:21think that I knew. And so I felt a little uncomfortable to just
- 1:02:27get in agreement with it. But then the more I began to listen
- 1:02:31to that person, I'd watch their character, I watched their
- 1:02:34associations, 'cause that's another thing, you know, you
- 1:02:37don't need somebody, we'll talk about accountability, Pastor hit
- 1:02:40on this so well a few weeks back, but you don't need
- 1:02:43somebody that is a lone ranger maverick, that it's their way or
- 1:02:48no way. And so I watched this person and watched who they
- 1:02:52communicated with and then it began to just let me know, okay,
- 1:02:55well maybe that was just a development spot for them. We
- 1:02:58have to be very good at this in this hour. And realize folks,
- 1:03:02when people get out there on the internet, most people don't know
- 1:03:05half of what goes on behind the scenes. It's very important. So
- 1:03:09character is, it must abound in folks. Anybody can be
- 1:03:14well-spoken. Okay, there are, in fact, the Bible says, that
- 1:03:18scripture we just read, that some of the false are the most,
- 1:03:21they're best spoken. There could be some of the most, I mean,
- 1:03:25amazingly spoken. Think about all of the prophetic people that
- 1:03:30you've heard, and you've heard of them over the years, who sat
- 1:03:33there and phonied prophecies, looked people up on the internet
- 1:03:38and found their name and then pretended they had a word from
- 1:03:40God. Okay, their character, character becomes important. And
- 1:03:46believe me, if you watch somebody long enough, this is
- 1:03:48why I kind of say, don't just listen to everybody. Get some
- 1:03:54people that you're connected to and you listen to them. I had
- 1:03:57one lady say, and I don't mean to quote Brother Hagin a lot
- 1:04:00because he certainly isn't the only minister we've always
- 1:04:03listened to, but I kind of cut my teeth listening and reading
- 1:04:06his books, but I heard a person one time, I said, "You know, who
- 1:04:09do you really listen to?" And she named him. This is a woman
- 1:04:13pastor. She named him. And I thought to myself, "Well, I
- 1:04:17mean, that seemed a little close that that's the only name that
- 1:04:19you can name." That's what I thought to myself, but then I
- 1:04:21thought it's kind of good that we kind of just we hone in with
- 1:04:25a few key voices that we have built trust and we know their
- 1:04:27character. This is so important. So character is just as
- 1:04:32important as accuracy, right? Okay. Secondly, the
- 1:04:36accountability, and so I'll just say this, it takes time to
- 1:04:40ascertain that. Did I make that point clear? All right. So the
- 1:04:43number two, the accountability of the messenger, and I think I
- 1:04:46already just hit on that a little bit. Christianity, and
- 1:04:50this is important because we're all gathered in this room
- 1:04:52tonight, Christianity carries with it a sense of community,
- 1:04:57okay, where we need each other. We build off of each other.
- 1:05:01That's why the Bible says iron sharpens iron. We need one
- 1:05:05another. Where none of us can survive as these loners
- 1:05:09somewhere. Okay, you can't do it. I mean, you go through
- 1:05:12something, I watch how the body of Christ rallies behind people.
- 1:05:17And so the church, you think about the early church when they
- 1:05:20were persecuted in Acts, the fourth chapter, remember that
- 1:05:23they were persecuted. And the scripture says they went back to
- 1:05:27their, their company, they went back to their people, they got
- 1:05:30back with their group. This is why the local church is still
- 1:05:34one of the safest places you can be in the end times. Because
- 1:05:38it's not just about coming up and hearing Pastor Hank preach
- 1:05:40on a Sunday. And hearing some music. It's also about rubbing
- 1:05:43shoulders with each other. There are many layers of
- 1:05:47accountability. We think of accountability as this like
- 1:05:50negative word, like there's some ruler that we're accountable to.
- 1:05:54And that's the farthest thing of what it should be. Really
- 1:05:57accountability is I come to church. I make my, I build
- 1:06:02relationships so that people, when I'm going through
- 1:06:05something, there's other people in the world that know my
- 1:06:08situation. And they can pray for me. They can help me. They also
- 1:06:14might get in my face and go, "Stop." But aren't you glad for
- 1:06:20that? Because that's the stuff that keeps us from going to
- 1:06:23hell, people. Amen. Sometimes you just need somebody to get
- 1:06:29and go, you know, settle down. Okay? And it's not just, we make
- 1:06:34accountability about some authoritative overseer, when
- 1:06:38really accountability is multi-layered. Okay? You become
- 1:06:41accountable just by sitting in the seat next to people every
- 1:06:44week. Think about that. We all need it, every one of us,
- 1:06:51because it brings checks and balances to our life. You know
- 1:06:53Pastor Hank, what I love about him, he's far more relational
- 1:06:56than I am. And he has how many people, you know we have a
- 1:07:01number of board members at the church, and people that he is in
- 1:07:05relationship with, one of those is Pastor Gene Bailey, they're
- 1:07:08very close. And if you're listening tonight guys, I said
- 1:07:11that. In fact, you'll hear Pastor Gene say, "My very best
- 1:07:16friend is Pastor Hank Kunneman." And they're very close. They
- 1:07:20talk most every day. There are a few seasons in there after
- 1:07:23opening the heavens and they were on the road, we're all like
- 1:07:26nobody getting on the phone. But you know, but they talk a lot.
- 1:07:30And Pastor Hank loves those accountability discussions. He
- 1:07:35will ask people, "How did you like what I said? Is there
- 1:07:39anything I need to change?" Now people don't see him do that.
- 1:07:42They see his bold way and believe me, he is a steamroller
- 1:07:48for what he knows to be right. But I've also watched a man who
- 1:07:52will let people speak into him and he will change. And I'm
- 1:07:56like, honey, you are very good at that. I need to grow. I need
- 1:07:59to grow. We all need that. Iron sharpens our accountability. And
- 1:08:05so look for people that you listen to who have that. Now,
- 1:08:08whether it be the checks and balances of the church as an
- 1:08:12institution, that's important, right? The church ought to
- 1:08:15have... Some churches, I'm not being critical, they're just run
- 1:08:19like sorry ships. It's terrible, okay? There's not
- 1:08:23accountability. It was like Pastor Hanks said when he first
- 1:08:26started in the prophetic, somebody invited him to this
- 1:08:28little church and he went in there. I'm at the back and there
- 1:08:33might've been 20 or 30 people in this little prophetic meeting
- 1:08:36and they decide to do the offering. And the preacher gets
- 1:08:40up and said, there's 20 people that are gonna give $100. He's
- 1:08:45looking around, he's like, there are 20 people in here. And so,
- 1:08:51you know, under compulsion, all of those people are pressured
- 1:08:55until they're, I'll give the next, they don't wanna be the
- 1:08:58guy that says no, and I'll be the next, and then it got down
- 1:09:02to 19, and he's like, there's one more person that's gonna
- 1:09:09give $100, and he was like, well, I didn't even have $4, so
- 1:09:13he goes, I'm outta here. He went out the back door, he said, I
- 1:09:17didn't know what to do, but I didn't have $100, I couldn't
- 1:09:19commit to $100, I couldn't even pledge $100, I wasn't gonna be
- 1:09:23able to give $100 in any time now or in the future that I knew
- 1:09:27of. So he said, I just had to slip out. Now, come on, that's
- 1:09:32sorry run, okay? Those are the kind of churches nobody ought to
- 1:09:36go to, okay? And so accountability is very, very
- 1:09:39important. So I think I exhausted that enough. So
- 1:09:42genuine prophets, teachers, preachers, prophetic people will
- 1:09:48make themselves accountable to somebody else besides
- 1:09:51themselves. And I will say this, let me just say this last part I
- 1:09:55told you this was going to be a long-winded message. But it's
- 1:09:59good because I really want to break all this down for you.
- 1:10:02This is prophetic school. That's why we do this Come on, this is
- 1:10:04living room talk. This is chalk talk This is where we just get
- 1:10:07down in the weeds and we go through some of these things
- 1:10:10because these are things that people think It's just nobody
- 1:10:13wants to bring it up in the pulpit. So we're gonna bring it
- 1:10:15up in the ball, but let's just do it But accountability is a
- 1:10:21community, it's multi-layered, it's multi-faceted. I forgot
- 1:10:24what I was gonna say about that. Is, oh, we should want to be
- 1:10:29around preachers and people that reflect that sense of wanting to
- 1:10:34be accountable. And that is so important. I say that because in
- 1:10:37the prophetic, people don't like the word accountability
- 1:10:41especially, 'cause they feel they've heard from God. And
- 1:10:45nobody wants to be questioned when they feel they've heard
- 1:10:47from God. So we have to, if we're gonna be prophetic people,
- 1:10:52come on, prophesiers out there, those of you online, if you're a
- 1:10:55person that prophesies or you're prone to prophecy, 'cause some
- 1:10:58people are just prone to prophesy. Okay, I'm not as prone
- 1:11:01to prophesy as my husband is prone to prophesy. I mean, he'll
- 1:11:04just walk up to people and prophesy. I'm like, how do you
- 1:11:07do that? How do you do that? He doesn't always make it sound
- 1:11:10like a prophecy, but it's a prophecy. And he'll prophesy to
- 1:11:13them. It just comes out. Some of you are like that. I know I'm
- 1:11:17seeing some of your faces. I know there's some of you that
- 1:11:19are prone like that to prophesying. And so what we have
- 1:11:23to know is that we even, the ones that are prone to prophesy,
- 1:11:27I have to even want to be more accountable. You've got to let
- 1:11:30people scrutinize your prophetic. Genuine prophets will
- 1:11:35not mind being scrutinized by people that have earned the
- 1:11:39right, this is important, earned the right to scrutinize them. We
- 1:11:45don't scrutinize everybody. Pastor Hank doesn't go out and
- 1:11:48just scrutinize somebody and call them on the phone, they're
- 1:11:51minister, I've never met you, but I didn't like what you said
- 1:11:54on YouTube. We don't do that. They've earned the right. Nathan
- 1:11:57the prophet earned the right in David's life to say you're the
- 1:12:01man. He earned it. He wasn't a stranger to David, he knew him.
- 1:12:07Okay, there was a relationship there. Okay, number three,
- 1:12:10enough about accountability. Did I say, I think I did the best I
- 1:12:14could on that one. Number three, the message and prophetic words
- 1:12:18should be able to be submitted or judged or scrutinized. Let me
- 1:12:22read this scripture to you. 1 Corinthians 14:29-32.
- 1:12:26Let the prophet speak two or three, so many things we could
- 1:12:29preach on this, but and let the other one judge or let other
- 1:12:32prophets judge it. Okay, it's not to be critical. It says, and
- 1:12:36if anything be revealed that one or anything be revealed to
- 1:12:40another that sits by, let the first hold his peace. Now what
- 1:12:42he's saying is, it's not to be chaos of interrupting each
- 1:12:46other. What it's talking about is be willing, be willing to be
- 1:12:51submissive to other people in the room. It's really important.
- 1:12:56242, this is even more important in a small group, because you'll
- 1:13:01ruin the night. If you're the person that your jaw's always
- 1:13:05got to be flapping the whole night. You'll ruin it, you'll
- 1:13:08ruin it. You'll ruin it for the leader, you'll ruin it for the
- 1:13:11people, right? You should always be submitted to the person in
- 1:13:15charge of the group that night. Come on, they planned the
- 1:13:19message, they got the authority, they bought the cookies, they
- 1:13:23did all the, they cleaned their house. I mean, think about that.
- 1:13:28People come into a home group and they didn't even do
- 1:13:31anything, they just came in to keep talking. Yet that person
- 1:13:34came, they cleaned the house, got a sitter for the kids, came
- 1:13:37and made a meal and invited people over, and then somebody
- 1:13:40just takes over. Okay, this is what this scripture is talking
- 1:13:43about. It's talking about have a submitted way. Allow others to
- 1:13:48counter you if need be. Husbands and wives, counter each other.
- 1:13:52It's good, it's healthy. You know, just don't fight. Okay,
- 1:13:57you can counter one another. Pastor and I do it all the time.
- 1:13:59What do you think about this? And we're honest. Eh, I'm gonna
- 1:14:03stretch that. I heard Marilyn Hickey say one time, somebody
- 1:14:06asked her, they said, Marilyn, I've got this word I've been
- 1:14:09really working on, and how does it sound to you? And she'd go,
- 1:14:13hmm, well, it might be a little windy yet. You know, the Bible
- 1:14:16talks about windy doctrine. I think you need to rein the wind
- 1:14:19back in just a little bit. We all need it. Come on, every one
- 1:14:23of us needs it. Okay, we need to be as submitted as we are
- 1:14:26critical. We need to be as teachable as we are big mouths,
- 1:14:30all of us, every single one of us. If we do, I'm telling you,
- 1:14:34we would grow. Amen. All right, next one, next one, Rick. All
- 1:14:39right, we could go on and on about that. Let's see, number
- 1:14:41two, number three. Oh, scrutiny is different than criticism,
- 1:14:45okay? Can I just say it like that? Learn to scrutinize
- 1:14:48yourself, right? Remember, if you point the finger, how many
- 1:14:51are pointing back? All good. It's very necessary. That's why,
- 1:14:55I don't know, I did see a meme one time on Facebook and it said
- 1:14:58this. it says when you type out your whole comment and the Holy
- 1:15:02Spirit goes delete. Just remember that sometimes the Holy
- 1:15:07Spirit will say do not post that. Do not write that in the
- 1:15:10comments. Stop. I've had to grow in that myself. All right. I'm
- 1:15:16just submitting that to you. Number four, prophetic words
- 1:15:20should be uplifting, for the most part encouraging. 1
- 1:15:23Corinthians 14:3 says, "But the one who prophesies
- 1:15:27strengthens the others "and encourages them and comforts
- 1:15:30them." That's the new living. So when you're prophesying, really
- 1:15:33the majority of the prophetic is not to find out the skinny on
- 1:15:37people, it's not to get in their business, and I had a dream and
- 1:15:43this happened, and then there's negative in there. It's really,
- 1:15:46that is not the front run of the prophetic. The front run of the
- 1:15:51prophetic is to strengthen somebody, not make them feel
- 1:15:56like, you know, they're worse than, you know, I mean, worse
- 1:16:01than everything. That's not the point. It's to strengthen and
- 1:16:05uplift people. People, if you're prophesying to one another, you
- 1:16:08should prophesy in such a way that it's there to make that
- 1:16:11person run with the wind at their back. Amen. Strengthen
- 1:16:16each other. And then it says, and encourages one another.
- 1:16:21Okay. You should, you should be able to walk away with
- 1:16:23encouragement. Very few prophetic words that I have
- 1:16:27watched Pastor Hank deliver over the years. I believe me, we've
- 1:16:31traveled in stadiums, in conferences, preaching. I mean,
- 1:16:35the Mid-America Center was not our
- 1:16:38first arena. We went all over Latin America
- 1:16:41for a decade. Preaching and preaching. And I only
- 1:16:44recall in probably 30 years, one time he gave a word
- 1:16:49of warning publicly to somebody. And that person was about to
- 1:16:53split that church. And it was, and the pastor was like, Oh my
- 1:16:57God, thank you. I couldn't go to that person. I tried, I did
- 1:17:00everything. They've caused me so many problems. And I believe
- 1:17:03that was a last ditch to save their life. But He has always
- 1:17:08uplifted people. Listen, there's times that you can see things
- 1:17:12about people, but you don't go call it out. You come on, you
- 1:17:15can code it. The Lord says, you know, it's time to turn your
- 1:17:18back on some stuff. You're not just say, you know, you fouled
- 1:17:23this and you did that and call. You don't have to. It should
- 1:17:27encourage. Okay? And most of the time you hear pastor and I will
- 1:17:32do it like that. Come on. What sounds general to the audience
- 1:17:35sometimes is very specific to the recipient. They know what
- 1:17:40you're saying and to comfort them. Come on, the prophetic
- 1:17:43ought to give people hope. That's what I love about the way
- 1:17:46pastor, come on, he prophesied risky things up in here. He'll
- 1:17:53prophesy risky. He'll take risks to give people hope and to give
- 1:17:58them comfort so that they walk away going, "Come on, God,
- 1:18:01you're not done with this nation. You're not done with
- 1:18:04America. Come on, the body of Christ. We still have a harvest.
- 1:18:08There's a harvest that's coming. A harvest of souls. There's
- 1:18:12still something good happening." That's what I love that he does
- 1:18:18that on Flashpoint. He's like, "Always brings the hope." I love
- 1:18:22you for it, honey. It's awesome. So, prophetic should uplift.
- 1:18:26Look for that. All right. What are we on? All right. Very
- 1:18:29quick. Three minutes. I can do it in three minutes. Here's
- 1:18:33another one that's so important. And there's so many things that
- 1:18:36I could say about uplifting and encouraging. Oh, my goodness.
- 1:18:40There's scriptures on that. We could talk about the disciples
- 1:18:42that ministered to Paul that he shouldn't go to Jerusalem. But
- 1:18:46anyway, you can read it. They did that, by the way, in a
- 1:18:50group. It wasn't one person going, "Don't go to Jerusalem."
- 1:18:53Okay? Only Agabus, a seasoned prophet, did that, by the way.
- 1:18:57Number five, a messenger, all messengers, whether you are a
- 1:19:02242 person, we call them a lay person, a person in the church,
- 1:19:07a greeter, a prophet, a minister, an apostle, any
- 1:19:11person, every single Christian ought to have a well polite
- 1:19:16manner about them. I don't know what it is about prophetic
- 1:19:21people that think they've got to be some, they're, you know, it's
- 1:19:25crazy. It's crazy. I mean, it's, it's a turnoff to be honest. And
- 1:19:29I talked about that last week, getting right in people's face
- 1:19:32and cornering them and they can smell your breath and you didn't
- 1:19:35have, you didn't brush your teeth on the way and it's
- 1:19:38terrifying. And I mean, I'll be honest, it just gives the
- 1:19:41prophetic a bad name. It gives church a bad name. Think about
- 1:19:46that, you know, and there's people that have no discipline
- 1:19:49whatsoever. They will go up to a brand new visitor that's never
- 1:19:53been to the church before. And the greeters have worked hard.
- 1:19:56They're out there trying to meet people, get to know them, love
- 1:19:59on them, let them know where the bathroom is. I mean, some people
- 1:20:02just wanna know where the bathroom is. They don't wanna be
- 1:20:05cornered and told all their secrets. Yeah. So well-mannered,
- 1:20:13I mean, speaking in an orderly manner. I mean, just polite. Can
- 1:20:16we all just, can we just do that? Can we just, and you guys
- 1:20:20are all so good, but I'm preaching to more than just
- 1:20:22everybody in here. Can we just all be polite? Can we all be
- 1:20:27polite? Can we be polite in the church? Can we be polite on the
- 1:20:30internet? Can we be, you know what people say about, I know
- 1:20:33I'm talking a lot about Pastor Hank tonight because I can,
- 1:20:35'cause he's not here. And so then you can tell him all the
- 1:20:40things I said if he didn't see it tonight. But you know what
- 1:20:43they'll say, Pastor Hank, wherever, where you go on the
- 1:20:46road, you just don't carry yourself like you're anybody
- 1:20:48important. You're out there like making jokes with the guy that's
- 1:20:53cleaning the tables. You're hanging out with the cooks.
- 1:20:57You're like out in the back just saying howdy do to the person
- 1:21:01that's like doing the hair and the makeup. And you're in the
- 1:21:04back corner saying, I mean, he'll go to all these big events
- 1:21:07and he's, I mean, yeah, he'll get in and talk with some of the
- 1:21:09ministers and different things and share and get in
- 1:21:11conversations, but he's out there reaching everybody. You
- 1:21:14know, I mean, I watched him at Mid
- 1:21:16-America Center, all the people that worked for the Mid-America
- 1:21:18Center, here he was walking out, "How you doing?" I know, we kept
- 1:21:22you up late. How are you? You doing all right? You doing good?
- 1:21:25Patting them on the back, meeting their name, getting to
- 1:21:27know them. And I know many of you do that, but that is how the
- 1:21:31body of Christ ought to be. And if we're prophetic, we need to
- 1:21:35even be more that way. We don't have to be weird to prophesy.
- 1:21:39Okay? Some people are more demonstrative than others, but
- 1:21:43that doesn't mean that we have to try to prove something. We
- 1:21:46should be the most well-behaved, well-mannered people on the face
- 1:21:50of the planet in the body of Christ. It ought to be the best
- 1:21:54place for people to come on any given time we gather. Come on,
- 1:21:58somebody. All right, last one. I'm closing with this. Now we'll
- 1:22:02talk about accuracy, because I know you were waiting for me to
- 1:22:04say it and you thought I might forget. So here's the thing. Are
- 1:22:09you getting anything out of this? Am I helping you? Oh,
- 1:22:11good. Cause I want everybody around the world that's watching
- 1:22:14to hear some of this. Cause I think we ought to grow. I tell
- 1:22:17you, I'm just going to say it like this. It discourages my
- 1:22:20heart a little bit when I watched the world, who's got an
- 1:22:25evil, evil message. Okay. Evil. Okay. And, and, and they are
- 1:22:31united on their message. Yeah, they get in killing each other.
- 1:22:35We know all those scriptures, but they're, they're united on,
- 1:22:38on evil. Okay. I've watched them be one force to promote
- 1:22:43abortion. And yet Christians can't even get in alignment.
- 1:22:47I've watched them be one force to promote transgender ideology.
- 1:22:51And you got Christians that will sit on the sideline and go,
- 1:22:54well, we shouldn't say anything. You know, we can't, we got to
- 1:22:57get an agreement. So accuracy, accuracy. Let me close with
- 1:23:01this. You can stand. I can say this last one so short, you
- 1:23:05won't mind standing. Accuracy, this is Jeremiah 28:9.
- 1:23:11It says, "The prophet that prophesies peace," in other
- 1:23:14words, he has a good word. It's an encouraging word. "When the
- 1:23:18word of the prophet shall come to pass, then shall the prophet
- 1:23:23be known or acknowledged. It'll be known of that prophet that
- 1:23:28the Lord has sent him." In other words, there was an accuracy.
- 1:23:31His words came to pass. Does that mean that any prophetic
- 1:23:36person can't ever miss God? Absolutely not. I mean, anybody
- 1:23:41can miss God, okay? Anybody can do that. We can all miss God.
- 1:23:46The key is, is the general, same way with character, their words
- 1:23:53in general should come to pass. That's the key. I mean, after a
- 1:23:57while, you listen to somebody and everything, 80% of what
- 1:24:00they're saying, it just ain't happening. Unsubscribed from
- 1:24:05their channel. There should be a general accuracy to the
- 1:24:10prophetic. There should be a general, and it's the same.
- 1:24:12There should be a general accuracy. When I get up here and
- 1:24:15teach the Bible, there should be a general accuracy in what I
- 1:24:18have to say. Okay, does it mean that I'll always say everything
- 1:24:22the right way? No, 'cause I'm growing just like all of us. And
- 1:24:26it's the same way in the prophetic. And I will say it
- 1:24:28like this, because one false prophecy doesn't make a person
- 1:24:32false. Otherwise we ought to throw prophecy completely out.
- 1:24:36And it's amazing, people will point to somebody else and say,
- 1:24:40"Oh, that person missed it. Oh, that person shouldn't have
- 1:24:43shared that vision. And that vision was kind of crazy. I
- 1:24:46didn't agree with it. Yet, they would afford themselves the same
- 1:24:49right to grow in their revelations and their visions.
- 1:24:53Amen. Am I helping you? So I think it's very important. The
- 1:24:57general consensus is a person should always be accurate. I
- 1:25:01love pastor because he works very hard to be accurate and
- 1:25:04take risks. And I would tell you, I have watched his words
- 1:25:08come to pass, people. I'm telling you. And he's not the
- 1:25:11only one. There's so many out there that you can trust 'cause
- 1:25:14man, they're happening. But accuracy can't be the only judge
- 1:25:18because there's a lot of false prophet. Listen, Balaam was an
- 1:25:23accurate false prophet. Okay, so that cannot be the only judge.
- 1:25:29That's why God taught him. He said, I'm closing my Bible now.
- 1:25:33He told him, he said, the way you judge them, you better know,
- 1:25:38mix character with their accuracy, 'cause you need both.
- 1:25:41There's a lot of good preachers that can preach up a storm, but
- 1:25:43they have no character to speak of. They live dirty lives in
- 1:25:48secret, and yet they could preach up a word. I mean, they
- 1:25:52can be just. So accuracy is not enough. It has to be mixed with
- 1:25:56the other areas. And if you get that, and they are accurate, you
- 1:26:00probably got a good vessel. It's probably genuine. And that's
- 1:26:03what we're looking for. But don't get up in arms. Don't be,
- 1:26:07just be discerning. There's a difference. I'll say this, last
- 1:26:10statement. There's a difference between being discerning and
- 1:26:15suspicious. And what I would do is I would avoid all the mayhem
- 1:26:21out there of all the people that want to take shots at other
- 1:26:23people and just hang back. Listen, the best thing I could
- 1:26:28do is know for myself if something's wrong or right. I
- 1:26:31don't need to prove that I think it's wrong or right to 18, 20,
- 1:26:3430, 3000 other people, okay? I've watched articles get
- 1:26:38written in recent times by the secular newspapers at the
- 1:26:42fighting of the body of Christ. Nothing is more grievous, but we
- 1:26:46can be accurate and genuine and still stay in the right spirit.
- 1:26:51And that's what I want because God is using prophets now. God
- 1:26:54is using it. We need the prophetic. God saves nations
- 1:26:58through the prophetic voice and we need it. Lift your hands to
- 1:27:01heaven. Say this, say, Lord, I'm gonna be one of the accurate
- 1:27:05ones. I'm gonna have the right character, the right attitude.
- 1:27:11Help me to discern things right, Lord. In this prophetic season,
- 1:27:16I want to be one of the vessels that you can use for this time
- 1:27:22in history. Amen. Did you get something out of that? All
- 1:27:26right. Go home. Do your homework. Look up all those
- 1:27:29scriptures, and we will see you on Sunday. I love you guys.
- 1:27:33We'll talk soon. Bye bye, internet.
- 1:27:35(upbeat music)
