- 0:00Speaker 1: This podcast is recorded on gadigal Land Always was, always
- 0:03Speaker 1: will be Aboriginal Land. Hey Chicks, I'm out and this
- 0:14Speaker 1: is two Broke Chicks News Arrivals where we give you
- 0:18Speaker 1: the fashion, beauty and lifestyle.
- 0:19Speaker 2: News express shipped to your ear holes.
- 0:22Speaker 1: And today I Hope You've got some milk ready is
- 0:27Speaker 1: a spicy episode.
- 0:29Speaker 3: That's Alvira going in the fridge.
- 0:31Speaker 1: Put on your SBF Chicks because someone you're about to
- 0:35Speaker 1: be burned.
- 0:37Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 0:38Speaker 1: So there's lots of news floating around in the fashion,
- 0:42Speaker 1: beauty and lifestyle world and it was actually really tricky
- 0:46Speaker 1: to pick our top three and to the point that
- 0:50Speaker 1: we were like, oh, some of these are a little
- 0:53Speaker 1: bit little bit neg vibes, but very important conversations to
- 0:57Speaker 1: be having regardless. Yeah, totally so, so I'm going to
- 1:00Speaker 1: kick it off to you straightaway to took us through
- 1:04Speaker 1: the latest beauty drama.
- 1:07Speaker 3: So Elf disappoints with its latest campaign.
- 1:11Speaker 2: In case you didn't see it this week.
- 1:13Speaker 3: Elf Cosmetics is facing quite a bit of backlash after
- 1:17Speaker 3: a controversial campaign that they went live with on the
- 1:20Speaker 3: tenth of August. So if you haven't seen it, the
- 1:23Speaker 3: ad featured comedian in Inverted commers in that Rife as
- 1:28Speaker 3: the face of their latest campaign. He featured alongside RuPaul's
- 1:33Speaker 3: drag Ray star Heidi in Closet, which Rady Heidi in Closet, which,
- 1:39Speaker 3: to be honest, I was upset.
- 1:43Speaker 2: I'm a fan in closet. Yeah, And the.
- 1:48Speaker 3: Pair featured as affordable beauty attorneys in this ad at
- 1:52Speaker 3: a law firm called Elfino and Schmanns.
- 1:55Speaker 1: I believe that ad was supposed to be a parody
- 1:59Speaker 1: of a previous law attorney, yeah, from like the two
- 2:04Speaker 1: thousands or the nineties or something, which makes sense.
- 2:07Speaker 3: Yes, it was very like campy and silly, and they
- 2:10Speaker 3: were playing these like cheesy lawyers and attorneys and yeah,
- 2:13Speaker 3: and I think the name is Elfino and Schmarns is
- 2:17Speaker 3: like a play on this iconic New York law firm, Yeah,
- 2:21Speaker 3: where these two lawyers are fighting overpriced beauty products. So
- 2:26Speaker 3: in the ad, Rife says, I know a thing or
- 2:29Speaker 3: two about red flags and pricey makeup. You deserve better
- 2:33Speaker 3: than that. So naturally, this campaign has received a lot
- 2:38Speaker 3: of backlash.
- 2:39Speaker 2: Yeah, and completely warranted too.
- 2:42Speaker 3: Yeah, totally a tld I. In case you don't know
- 2:46Speaker 3: who Matt Rife is and you missed all of that drama.
- 2:49Speaker 2: Gratulations. Yeah, first time job, gold star.
- 2:52Speaker 1: You have built that algorithm brick by brick baby out
- 2:57Speaker 1: of Tangier.
- 2:58Speaker 2: Yeah, proud of you. Yeah.
- 3:01Speaker 3: But Matt Rife is a comedian who built quite a
- 3:06Speaker 3: large female following during the pandemic, which is important to
- 3:10Speaker 3: know here, but since has been rightfully criticized and canceled.
- 3:15Speaker 3: I would say for his comedy special Natural Selection, which
- 3:19Speaker 3: dropped in twenty twenty three, where he featured a bunch
- 3:23Speaker 3: of domestic violence jokes.
- 3:25Speaker 2: It was actually disgusting.
- 3:27Speaker 3: Yeah, and naturally people were like what the fuck, Like
- 3:30Speaker 3: this shit has never been funny, but especially now, like
- 3:34Speaker 3: we know better and it's a serious issue internationally, Like
- 3:38Speaker 3: we shouldn't be making jokes about this. It's not funny.
- 3:43Speaker 3: And at the time he released an apology, but the
- 3:47Speaker 3: apology linked out to a website that sold helmets for
- 3:52Speaker 3: people with special needs and was like, here's an apology
- 3:55Speaker 3: for anybody who's been offended by any of my jokes.
- 3:59Speaker 3: So again, and just double down and didn't take ownership
- 4:03Speaker 3: and didn't apologize at all. So obviously disgusting.
- 4:08Speaker 2: Behavior, and yeah, he's an awful person.
- 4:11Speaker 3: Back to current day. Naturally, people are really upset and disappointed.
- 4:16Speaker 2: And I think surprised. Yeah, I think surprised.
- 4:19Speaker 1: I think there was a really amazing TikTok from a
- 4:22Speaker 1: creator that referenced a lot of the work ELF has
- 4:26Speaker 1: done to empower women and support women. So then to
- 4:32Speaker 1: have a campaign like this is so backwards and feels
- 4:35Speaker 1: like a betrayal.
- 4:37Speaker 3: Yeah, absolutely, because the majority of their customer base is
- 4:42Speaker 3: made up of women.
- 4:43Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:43Speaker 2: So I don't know.
- 4:45Speaker 3: I am just like so shocked how these things get
- 4:47Speaker 3: through multiple rounds of people without somebody saying, hey, maybe
- 4:52Speaker 3: let's not have this guy in here who has openly
- 4:55Speaker 3: made jokes about domestic violence in our campaign that's targeted
- 4:59Speaker 3: at our customer base of women. And I think it
- 5:02Speaker 3: was put perfectly by TikTok creator and beauty influencer Jilly Clark,
- 5:07Speaker 3: who we had on the show.
- 5:08Speaker 1: Jilly made an amazing video about this. Yeah, big fan
- 5:12Speaker 1: of Jilly.
- 5:13Speaker 3: One part that I think struck a chord with a
- 5:15Speaker 3: lot of people was Jilly said, I don't think that
- 5:19Speaker 3: as a multi billion dollar business in the beauty industry,
- 5:22Speaker 3: with a customer base that is ninety percent women, we
- 5:25Speaker 3: should have the face of our campaign be a man
- 5:27Speaker 3: who openly jokes about violence against women.
- 5:30Speaker 2: I agree.
- 5:31Speaker 1: There was also an absolutely slay comment that she made
- 5:36Speaker 1: in a follow up video where she said Jilly deliciously
- 5:40Speaker 1: noted that her video calling them out got five million
- 5:42Speaker 1: more views than the Elf Cosmetics campaign.
- 5:45Speaker 3: Hell, I mean and rightfully. So and rightfully and I
- 5:51Speaker 3: think a lot of people are also really disappointed because
- 5:54Speaker 3: the ad is still live. At the time of recording,
- 5:57Speaker 3: it was released I think four or so days ago
- 6:00Speaker 3: now and Elf have yet to remove it, but they
- 6:03Speaker 3: did publish an apology of sorts on their Instagram which read,
- 6:10Speaker 3: you know us, We're always listening and we've heard you.
- 6:13Speaker 3: This campaign aimed to humorously spotlight beauty injustice. We understand
- 6:18Speaker 3: we miss the mark with people we care about in
- 6:20Speaker 3: our ELF community. While Elf and Fino and Schmann's closes today,
- 6:25Speaker 3: will continue to make the case against overpriced beauty love Heart.
- 6:30Speaker 1: I'm really disappointed by that because we have loved Elf
- 6:36Speaker 1: in the past, Like I really enjoyed their products. I
- 6:39Speaker 1: thought they were really affordable price point and really really
- 6:44Speaker 1: good quality.
- 6:45Speaker 2: But the response like this is basically oops, but will
- 6:50Speaker 2: continue on move forward.
- 6:52Speaker 1: I think you can't publish a statement like that and
- 6:55Speaker 1: keep the campaign up.
- 6:57Speaker 2: It's basically ignoring your customers.
- 7:00Speaker 3: And also the apology is pretty apology.
- 7:03Speaker 2: There's no sorry in there.
- 7:05Speaker 3: Yeah, so true, there's no actual sorry, and they don't
- 7:09Speaker 3: address what people were upset about, Like they don't mention
- 7:12Speaker 3: him by name, they don't mention why it was inappropriate
- 7:15Speaker 3: and why it was the wrong decision and what they're
- 7:17Speaker 3: going to do to rectify it in the future. And
- 7:20Speaker 3: I think even the fact that they've said, oh, Schmanns
- 7:23Speaker 3: and Elfino or whatever the fuck it's called is closed
- 7:26Speaker 3: from today, Like don't make a joke, don't yeah, true,
- 7:29Speaker 3: don't make a joke. Trying to be like this isn't funny. Yeah,
- 7:32Speaker 3: like it's actually not funny. So also including like trying
- 7:36Speaker 3: to be like he he like tongue in cheek is
- 7:39Speaker 3: also not appropriate, given like why people are upset by
- 7:43Speaker 3: this campaign. So obviously a lot of people didn't see
- 7:47Speaker 3: this as an adequate apology.
- 7:49Speaker 1: And I also think if you go to the comment
- 7:51Speaker 1: it's not like this reception is every tenth or twentieth
- 7:57Speaker 1: or fiftieth comment. It is every single comment, yeah, from
- 8:01Speaker 1: women and men saying we don't want this person as
- 8:07Speaker 1: the face of a campaign aimed towards us. And that's
- 8:11Speaker 1: the other thing that you and I were speaking about
- 8:13Speaker 1: earlier this week is what is up with these advertisements
- 8:18Speaker 1: that are aimed at women, that are ostracizing women.
- 8:22Speaker 2: Look at Sydney Sweeney's ad, We're all like, wait, was
- 8:25Speaker 2: that for us?
- 8:26Speaker 3: That was just yeah, that was ostracizing everyone with two
- 8:30Speaker 3: brains all s rub together. I'm wondering, is rage bait
- 8:36Speaker 3: advertising the.
- 8:38Speaker 1: Die?
- 8:39Speaker 3: I think because it's so fresh and we've had quite
- 8:41Speaker 3: a few recent examples, it's hard to know what the
- 8:44Speaker 3: long term impacts of these sorts of ads and the
- 8:48Speaker 3: controversy new deadlines, what kind of impact that will have
- 8:51Speaker 3: on the brand, and whether it's positive or whether it's negative.
- 8:55Speaker 3: So I'm almost like, yes, like these brands are being canceled,
- 9:00Speaker 3: but does it actually impact them on a business level,
- 9:05Speaker 3: and are they doing this on purpose to get more
- 9:07Speaker 3: eyeballs on them.
- 9:08Speaker 1: Well, it's interesting because our producer also noted that since
- 9:12Speaker 1: acquiring Road Beauty, Hailey Baber's brand, ELF's sales had increased
- 9:18Speaker 1: by nine percent. But I'm going to be really really
- 9:20Speaker 1: interested to see how those sales go off the back
- 9:24Speaker 1: of this campaign and whether or not they'll drop, will
- 9:27Speaker 1: they continue to grow, or will they stay at the
- 9:30Speaker 1: same pace.
- 9:31Speaker 3: So yeah, fuck that guy and disappointing.
- 9:34Speaker 2: All right, moving on to something a little bit more fun.
- 9:37Speaker 1: Hey, ponchos are the next big fashion flair in a
- 9:44Speaker 1: twist of fates, the newest fashion trend about to be
- 9:47Speaker 1: everywhere is, in fact ponchos, shawls and capes, the incredibles
- 9:53Speaker 1: coming back.
- 9:55Speaker 2: Gapes and the mode is rolling over in a great.
- 10:00Speaker 1: Like what did I say?
- 10:02Speaker 2: Ok, what did I say? Chess roll them montage? That
- 10:06Speaker 2: is an iconic scene.
- 10:07Speaker 1: But ed Na, I'm sorry, I've just got a report
- 10:10Speaker 1: on the news. So, according to Style Analytics, searches for
- 10:14Speaker 1: ponchos on Pinterest are up seven hundred and thirty three
- 10:18Speaker 1: percent in the USA and one hundred and forty two
- 10:21Speaker 1: percent in the UK when compared to August last year.
- 10:25Speaker 1: So it kind of feels like this natural evolution from
- 10:30Speaker 1: the chunky scarf trend. I feel like that's expanding and
- 10:36Speaker 1: we're just taking up the real estate.
- 10:39Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, totally.
- 10:41Speaker 3: So.
- 10:41Speaker 1: The fashion up and comer was also called out in
- 10:43Speaker 1: a recent article from Who What Where? Who also stated
- 10:46Speaker 1: that the poncho is far from you. They've been worn
- 10:50Speaker 1: for centuries by indigenous communities in the Andes and continue
- 10:54Speaker 1: to influence fashion globally, which I think is also incredibly
- 10:56Speaker 1: important to know. Yeah, you may also recall that the
- 10:59Speaker 1: punch there was an iconic trend from the two thousands
- 11:02Speaker 1: with icons like Killery Duff, Ashley Tisdale, Jennifer Lopez.
- 11:07Speaker 2: All Rock and look.
- 11:08Speaker 1: But I think that kind of also shows how it's
- 11:10Speaker 1: not too surprising to see this as a resurgence, as
- 11:13Speaker 1: the two thousands just keeps vomiting up fashion trends on.
- 11:16Speaker 3: Us, like low rise jeans, which is great, Yeah, totally.
- 11:20Speaker 3: And I also think as well, like ponchos as a
- 11:24Speaker 3: fashion item, and as you know, like a more modern
- 11:28Speaker 3: fashion item also has roots in like seventies bohemian fashion,
- 11:34Speaker 3: which again we saw in the early aughts and we're
- 11:37Speaker 3: seeing this season as well.
- 11:40Speaker 2: So I do think that it.
- 11:40Speaker 3: Makes sense for it to come back, given that you know,
- 11:43Speaker 3: it was relevant then and relevant in the seventies and
- 11:46Speaker 3: we're seeing it back.
- 11:47Speaker 1: But we're seeing it now stocked and referenced. As you know, capes, ponchos, shawls,
- 11:54Speaker 1: it's now they're in target, Mango Zara, They're definitely popping up.
- 11:58Speaker 2: It was interesting.
- 11:59Speaker 1: Style Analytics did note that the product amount was very
- 12:03Speaker 1: far behind the amount of like want for these items.
- 12:08Speaker 1: Yeah the demand, Yeah, the demand is larger than the supply.
- 12:12Speaker 1: That's exactly what I was trying to say. Good jobs
- 12:14Speaker 1: our God's staff for you. So yeah, I'm excited to
- 12:19Speaker 1: see how this continues to develop. And I'm all for
- 12:24Speaker 1: an oversized, comfy, cozy, little blanky that I can wear.
- 12:30Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:32Speaker 1: This headline is inspired by the fact that my boyfriend
- 12:35Speaker 1: made me watch all the three prequels of Star Wars.
- 12:40Speaker 2: The Cozi liv strikes back.
- 12:43Speaker 1: Netflix has raised its prices again, and Mecha removes its
- 12:48Speaker 1: birthday reward beauty Loop. The National Mental Health Commission has
- 12:53Speaker 1: found the number of people experiencing financial stress has almost
- 12:56Speaker 1: doubled since twenty twenty. It rose from seventeen point one
- 13:00Speaker 1: percent in November twenty twenty to thirty four point six
- 13:04Speaker 1: percent by January twenty twenty four.
- 13:07Speaker 2: The brand's care they said, fuck you in you're stress.
- 13:12Speaker 1: I've raised my prices twice an year. I'm gonna get
- 13:15Speaker 1: you pretty middle of that literally, but it's like you
- 13:18Speaker 1: can get to you in your little bank account too,
- 13:21Speaker 1: Fuck you.
- 13:22Speaker 2: And your savings.
- 13:23Speaker 1: About a third of Australians are financially stressed, with women
- 13:25Speaker 1: consistently reporting more anxiety about money, according to the latest
- 13:29Speaker 1: snapshot into the mental health system. And it's followed by
- 13:33Speaker 1: a period where prices have risen by more than twenty
- 13:36Speaker 1: percent in five years, and it continues with Netflix raising
- 13:40Speaker 1: its prices by twenty six percent since May twenty twenty four.
- 13:45Speaker 3: That's so hectic.
- 13:47Speaker 2: I know.
- 13:48Speaker 1: If you feel like a Netflix price raise is coming
- 13:52Speaker 1: more often than you think it is, you're not wrong.
- 13:56Speaker 1: So they've increased Australian pricing twice in just over a year.
- 14:02Speaker 1: Am I too far gone in the world that I
- 14:05Speaker 1: believe a price increase should be coming maybe every five years? Yeah?
- 14:10Speaker 3: I don't think that we should be getting multiple in
- 14:12Speaker 3: a year, and not by twenty six percent.
- 14:16Speaker 2: I agree.
- 14:17Speaker 1: So the minimum cost for an AD free plan is
- 14:21Speaker 1: now twenty dollars and ninety nine cents. The standard plan
- 14:25Speaker 1: went from sixteen ninety nine to eighteen ninety nine in
- 14:28Speaker 1: May twenty twenty four and now to twenty ninety nine
- 14:32Speaker 1: in September twenty twenty five.
- 14:34Speaker 2: Crazy.
- 14:35Speaker 1: Please, The minimum cost for a plan with ads is
- 14:41Speaker 1: now nine ninety nine, which was previously seven ninety nine.
- 14:46Speaker 1: It also costs an additional six ninety nine six dollars
- 14:50Speaker 1: and ninety nine cents to add someone else to your plan,
- 14:53Speaker 1: so forget about splitting the cost with someone with.
- 14:56Speaker 2: Your single people.
- 14:57Speaker 1: Fuck you, that's what they said, Like, that's the only
- 15:02Speaker 1: reason I got a boyfriend.
- 15:05Speaker 2: I can't afford Netflix.
- 15:07Speaker 1: Yeah. Honestly, while this is really disappointing, I don't want
- 15:11Speaker 1: to be coming in being like.
- 15:12Speaker 2: Doom and gloom to the jis being.
- 15:15Speaker 1: Like, guess what, It's still getting more expensive.
- 15:19Speaker 2: There's no end in sight.
- 15:21Speaker 1: It is a really really good kick up the bum
- 15:25Speaker 1: to look at your subscriptions and to ask yourself the question,
- 15:30Speaker 1: is this subscription worthy.
- 15:31Speaker 2: Amount of money I'm paying for it? Maybe it is.
- 15:34Speaker 1: Maybe you watch Netflix every single day and that price
- 15:37Speaker 1: point is worth it to you. But when we were
- 15:40Speaker 1: discussing it previous to recording this, Sau literally verbally out
- 15:45Speaker 1: loud said.
- 15:46Speaker 2: What do I even watch on Netflix? And I was like,
- 15:50Speaker 2: where'd you get to in that?
- 15:52Speaker 1: Someone on Reddit said this is a lot to pay
- 15:54Speaker 1: just to watch Happy You'll more too.
- 15:57Speaker 3: Honestly, well, I feel like, yeah, what I have been
- 16:02Speaker 3: watching is like reruns of Brooklyn nine nine. Is that
- 16:05Speaker 3: really necessary? And then I was trying to think of
- 16:08Speaker 3: like the Netflix original that I was most excited to watch,
- 16:11Speaker 3: and it would be Stranger Things, But that doesn't come
- 16:13Speaker 3: out until the end of the year. I could just
- 16:15Speaker 3: cancel it until then.
- 16:16Speaker 1: Another little PSA in case you haven't used it yet,
- 16:21Speaker 1: Mecca is officially getting rid of its Birthday E gift
- 16:25Speaker 1: card Beauty Loop reward.
- 16:27Speaker 3: Yeah, a year after its launch, the Mecca Beauty Loop
- 16:31Speaker 3: Birthday E gift Card reward is coming to an end.
- 16:34Speaker 2: I'm sad. I'm very sad about this. Yeah.
- 16:37Speaker 3: It was only in October twenty twenty four that Mecca
- 16:40Speaker 3: announced that the Beauty Loop Birthday gift would be an
- 16:44Speaker 3: E gift card, and I think everybody was, like.
- 16:47Speaker 2: Carlo Luis, it was everyone was so excited.
- 16:50Speaker 1: Yeah, but I didn't realize that this was just for
- 16:54Speaker 1: one year.
- 16:56Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 16:56Speaker 1: I think this was a very very smart pr move
- 17:00Speaker 1: in a very noisy reception where a lot of people
- 17:03Speaker 1: were discussing the value of Mecca's reward program, and I
- 17:08Speaker 1: think this was a response to that, and I thought
- 17:10Speaker 1: it was a great response. However, maybe we just missed
- 17:14Speaker 1: the mark that it was for one year.
- 17:17Speaker 2: I don't know if that was communicated.
- 17:19Speaker 3: Yeah, or if it was you know, just always in
- 17:22Speaker 3: the fine print, yet we didn't see.
- 17:24Speaker 1: Speaking of fine prints, I'm really speaking.
- 17:30Speaker 2: Of fine print.
- 17:31Speaker 1: The birthday gift cards for the Mecca Rewards Beauty Loop
- 17:34Speaker 1: are only valid for thirty days. Now, whilst I understand
- 17:38Speaker 1: it's a birthday reward and for that to have a
- 17:41Speaker 1: thirty day surrounding timeframe makes sense.
- 17:44Speaker 2: I understand that.
- 17:45Speaker 1: However, in Australia, E gift cards and vouchers are for
- 17:50Speaker 1: a minimum of three years, yeah, and are legally supposed
- 17:54Speaker 1: to be for a minimum of three years. So I
- 17:55Speaker 1: actually don't quite understand how.
- 17:58Speaker 3: Yeah, it must be some sort of like loophole that
- 18:02Speaker 3: because it's a birthday reward, yes, and that makes that.
- 18:06Speaker 1: Kind of so if you're an idiot like me and
- 18:08Speaker 1: didn't know that, and then four days after that, that
- 18:12Speaker 1: thirty days you went to go and use it, and
- 18:15Speaker 1: you were heartbroken because I could have had seventy dollars
- 18:18Speaker 1: to spend and I didn't.
- 18:19Speaker 3: You get your E gift card the day before your birthday,
- 18:22Speaker 3: and then you only have thirty days to use it,
- 18:24Speaker 3: so it's not thirty within thirty days from before you one.
- 18:27Speaker 2: Is out of stock. Yeah, I mean yeah, And I
- 18:30Speaker 2: get it like it's it's a reward. You're like, they're
- 18:33Speaker 2: giving you a reward back. They're allowed to decide how
- 18:36Speaker 2: they want to do that and manage that.
- 18:38Speaker 1: But I'm really sad to see it go, and I
- 18:40Speaker 1: really really hope that they renew it because it obviously
- 18:44Speaker 1: had such strong reception. But basically, if your birthday is
- 18:50Speaker 1: in August or September, you guys are the last of
- 18:52Speaker 1: the Mecca Birthday beauty loops.
- 18:54Speaker 3: Yep. It wraps up on the thirtieth of September, so
- 18:57Speaker 3: I will have to keep our eyes peeled for what.
- 18:59Speaker 2: Yeah, she's the reward will be if you don't want
- 19:01Speaker 2: to use it, hit a girl.
- 19:03Speaker 3: Up, Yes, send it our way.
- 19:04Speaker 2: I'll give you my Netflix password. It's basically the same price.
- 19:09Speaker 1: I did, however, have a little hack that I wanted
- 19:13Speaker 1: to wrap up this episode with kind of going back
- 19:16Speaker 1: to our subscriptions cozilibs.
- 19:18Speaker 2: The Cozi Lift strikes back.
- 19:20Speaker 1: I saw this one TikTok a while ago, and then
- 19:22Speaker 1: you know, when you're like sitting at your laptop and
- 19:24Speaker 1: you're like, oh, I remember that. Oh oh, so here's
- 19:28Speaker 1: a hack to unsubscribe from all of the pesky newsletters
- 19:33Speaker 1: in your Gmail. So you open your Gmail and on
- 19:38Speaker 1: the left, right down the bottom where you've got like inbox,
- 19:41Speaker 1: spam trash, you go more options and there's a little
- 19:45Speaker 1: button that says managed subscriptions. It will then list out
- 19:50Speaker 1: all of the newsletters, edms and brands that you're subscribed
- 19:55Speaker 1: to with a button next to it saying unsubscribe no,
- 19:59Speaker 1: And you just go down and click it and unsubscribe
- 20:02Speaker 1: from all of those super annoying edms that you didn't
- 20:06Speaker 1: even sign up for. You just bought something from them
- 20:08Speaker 1: two years ago, and you've never been able to unsubscribe.
- 20:11Speaker 1: And it literally took me fifteen minutes to unsubscribe from
- 20:15Speaker 1: all of them. Wow.
- 20:17Speaker 2: I know.
- 20:17Speaker 1: Obviously, if you love the brand and you want to
- 20:19Speaker 1: stay subscribed, go for gold, but I don't.
- 20:23Speaker 3: I think most of us could do with a couple
- 20:26Speaker 3: less subscriptions necessary.
- 20:28Speaker 1: That is a wrap for news arrivals this week.
- 20:31Speaker 2: Thank you so much. We would love to hear your thoughts, feelings,
- 20:33Speaker 2: and emotions.
- 20:34Speaker 1: And feel free to send us any news stories that
- 20:36Speaker 1: you want us to cover in these episodes because when there.
- 20:38Speaker 2: Was a Little Girls, it was a Little Girls.
