- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Hello Almost Famous listeners. We have a very special guest today.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Brayden Bowers is here, the man of the hour. If
- 0:14Speaker 2: you watch The Bachelorette, Ben is not here, so it's
- 0:17Speaker 2: just me and Braden and Braiden. If you were to
- 0:20Speaker 2: follow our podcast, which we do not expect at all,
- 0:22Speaker 2: you would know that you're probably going into one of
- 0:24Speaker 2: your easiest exit interviews this week. Because I have not
- 0:29Speaker 2: given you a lot of flack when lots of other
- 0:31Speaker 2: outlets have. I've just felt like, Okay, yes, you've made
- 0:35Speaker 2: some mistakes, but you've also been really honest along the way.
- 0:40Speaker 2: How are you feeling now that you can kind of
- 0:43Speaker 2: tell the world that you are not the man for charity?
- 0:48Speaker 3: Honestly, there's a part of me to still like that
- 0:51Speaker 3: has that disappointment factor, to be honest, I think, yeah,
- 0:55Speaker 3: I mean I really did have a connection with her,
- 0:57Speaker 3: and I think like, I think the appointment factor was
- 1:01Speaker 3: like I just got in my head too much, and
- 1:03Speaker 3: so it's like there's just that, like, you know, it
- 1:05Speaker 3: was something I want to learn and grow from, like
- 1:07Speaker 3: not get in my head so much in the future.
- 1:09Speaker 1: And pursuing future relationships.
- 1:11Speaker 3: But there's definitely a level of disappointment disappointment in that
- 1:15Speaker 3: in that aspect.
- 1:15Speaker 2: So yeah, all right, we're your answer there in a second,
- 1:19Speaker 2: but I have to ask first to really set the
- 1:22Speaker 2: stage here. Have you watched the show before? Has your
- 1:26Speaker 2: mom watched the show like a close friend? How familiar
- 1:29Speaker 2: were you before going on?
- 1:31Speaker 3: Yeah, No, I've actually I haven't ever sat down and
- 1:34Speaker 3: watched a full episode of the show.
- 1:36Speaker 1: I've seen a couple like clips in passing.
- 1:38Speaker 3: Just because my little sister's a huge fan, and then
- 1:40Speaker 3: my old roommates were a huge fans, but I've never
- 1:43Speaker 3: actually seen the whole thing.
- 1:44Speaker 1: And you can kind of tell at the idea was
- 1:47Speaker 1: all right.
- 1:48Speaker 2: So last week you kind of called out one of
- 1:52Speaker 2: my very close friends and a Bachelor Nation royalty honestly,
- 1:57Speaker 2: Nick viall because he's been giving you some crap on
- 1:59Speaker 2: it podcast and you said, who's Nick. Now, half the
- 2:03Speaker 2: fandom thinks that you're being sarcastic, and that half the
- 2:07Speaker 2: fandom might just think you don't know, which is totally legit.
- 2:11Speaker 2: What's the truth.
- 2:12Speaker 3: Honestly, I wish I could say I knew, and I
- 2:14Speaker 3: wish I could say that I was just being sarcastic,
- 2:16Speaker 3: but I really I didn't even know who Nick was.
- 2:17Speaker 3: I didn't know he was talking smack on me. I
- 2:19Speaker 3: hadn't seen anything. It was, honestly just I didn't know
- 2:22Speaker 3: who it was. So I feel like I wish I
- 2:25Speaker 3: could claim that I was sarcastic and it was like
- 2:27Speaker 3: a clap back, but it wasn't.
- 2:28Speaker 1: I didn't know who he was.
- 2:30Speaker 2: Okay, Well, so then my my other question has to
- 2:34Speaker 2: do with the same I guess it's gonna be the
- 2:36Speaker 2: same answer. I've been saying that this week, you reminded
- 2:39Speaker 2: me so much of one of the Ultimate villains, Chad Johnson,
- 2:43Speaker 2: because they go to the wood. Do you know who
- 2:46Speaker 2: Chad Johnson is?
- 2:49Speaker 3: So someone one of the producers told me stories about
- 2:51Speaker 3: him and how he like hooped his pants mixt like
- 2:54Speaker 3: Chris Harrison.
- 2:55Speaker 2: That there's there's definitely some things that happened that may
- 2:59Speaker 2: have been paradise moment. What I'm referring to is on
- 3:03Speaker 2: JoJo's season, they went to the woods in the middle
- 3:06Speaker 2: of nowhere, and then he like ate an apple really obnoxiously,
- 3:09Speaker 2: kind of the way that you ate the food that
- 3:11Speaker 2: you found out in the Woods, and you were like
- 3:13Speaker 2: making fun of like the guy's butch in the way
- 3:16Speaker 2: that he would make fun of him. And I see
- 3:19Speaker 2: some humor in that. For sure. It's good for the audience.
- 3:22Speaker 2: But you have to go back and watch Chad Johnson's
- 3:24Speaker 2: episode because you were taking some serious direct cues from him.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, I yeah, I don't. I didn't know that.
- 3:32Speaker 2: That's uh did they tell you to eat like the
- 3:35Speaker 2: ratish or whatever?
- 3:36Speaker 3: That was obnoxiously So the thing the thing about the
- 3:39Speaker 3: Ratish that was funny is like I was a.
- 3:43Speaker 1: It was a radish, I think it was. It was.
- 3:44Speaker 3: It was a beat. It was a beat, Okay, it was.
- 3:47Speaker 3: It was pretty sweet, so it was good. But it
- 3:49Speaker 3: was good for anyone asking it was actually tasty, But no,
- 3:52Speaker 3: it was. It was funny because we actually were we
- 3:54Speaker 3: were eating apples up in the room and I had
- 3:56Speaker 3: watched like a show when I was younger tho I
- 3:58Speaker 3: won on one not sure here watched it and it's
- 4:01Speaker 3: like basically there's like a clip about how you can tell, yeah,
- 4:04Speaker 3: how good of a kisser is by.
- 4:05Speaker 1: The way they eat an apple. And I was like,
- 4:07Speaker 1: and I made a joke.
- 4:08Speaker 3: It didn't make the screen time, but I was like, hey,
- 4:10Speaker 3: can you guys tell him a good kisser? And like
- 4:12Speaker 3: I was eating the beat like it was a joke. So,
- 4:14Speaker 3: like everyone, it didn't make the full cut.
- 4:17Speaker 2: Okay, gotcha. A lot of moments are ruined by the cut. Okay,
- 4:22Speaker 2: So this is all very interesting. So then my like
- 4:24Speaker 2: the most general question is probably just like, okay, so
- 4:29Speaker 2: you had to know the premise of the show was
- 4:31Speaker 2: that you're supposed to, quote quote be ready to get
- 4:35Speaker 2: engaged at the end of it, and you didn't seem
- 4:37Speaker 2: to be on board with the premise at all. But
- 4:39Speaker 2: did you know that that was the expectation it was, Yeah.
- 4:42Speaker 3: I did, and honestly I thought that I thought I
- 4:44Speaker 3: could get there. I definitely had like my reservations coming
- 4:48Speaker 3: into it. I was like, it was kind of like
- 4:50Speaker 3: if it happens, it happens, and as it was like
- 4:53Speaker 3: an all or nothing get married or you know what
- 4:55Speaker 3: I mean, it was like and I think that's more
- 4:56Speaker 3: what kind of shocked me is it was like the
- 4:59Speaker 3: hyper focus.
- 5:00Speaker 1: On the engagement over connection.
- 5:01Speaker 3: Like there was a time when some of the guys
- 5:03Speaker 3: were like, she didn't come here for a connection, she
- 5:05Speaker 3: came here for an engagement and they're they're like, oh,
- 5:08Speaker 3: she couldn't.
- 5:08Speaker 1: He couldn't be as opposite of that, and like, I disagree.
- 5:12Speaker 3: I think she did come there for a connection, because
- 5:13Speaker 3: we can't have an engagement without a connection. And so
- 5:16Speaker 3: I think my biggest point of contention with the guys
- 5:18Speaker 3: was just that, like they were so like talking about
- 5:21Speaker 3: this engagement, saying we need to get to this point
- 5:23Speaker 3: of engagement, and they never even considered worrying about like
- 5:26Speaker 3: actually getting to know her. You know, I made a
- 5:28Speaker 3: comment like they didn't even know her favorite color, Like
- 5:30Speaker 3: like they weren't asking these questions like what her favorite
- 5:32Speaker 3: food was, like you know, what her favorite animal was,
- 5:35Speaker 3: like what she had fears of and stuff like that,
- 5:37Speaker 3: and some of the guys did. I mean, I got
- 5:38Speaker 3: to give a shout out to DWT and like he
- 5:40Speaker 3: really genuinely just like you know, he like watching him back,
- 5:44Speaker 3: he had those conversations with her and he didn't get
- 5:46Speaker 3: caught up in the drama and stuff like that. So
- 5:48Speaker 3: I have to say, like some of the other guys,
- 5:49Speaker 3: I mean they had they weren't.
- 5:52Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, so this is where I kind of agree
- 5:55Speaker 2: with you. And this is also a Chad Johnson moment
- 5:58Speaker 2: where I was like, this guy has been using Chad
- 6:01Speaker 2: as his role model because Chad had this song or
- 6:04Speaker 2: he he watched the other guys sing a song about
- 6:07Speaker 2: Jojo after like three days of knowing her, and he's like,
- 6:10Speaker 2: how weird and creepy is that these guys are making
- 6:13Speaker 2: up songs about a girl that they basically just said
- 6:15Speaker 2: hello to.
- 6:17Speaker 1: Yeah, it was. It was just bizarre. It was like
- 6:19Speaker 1: they came in I think. I mean, I guess I can.
- 6:22Speaker 1: I don't I have to.
- 6:22Speaker 3: I don't want to say I can relate to Chad
- 6:24Speaker 3: Johnson yet, because again, I haven't seen his eyes.
- 6:26Speaker 2: I don't want to directly compare you to Chad either,
- 6:28Speaker 2: because that would be unfair to you. He's a whole
- 6:31Speaker 2: other level. I don't consider you anywhere near.
- 6:34Speaker 3: Okay, well I appreciate that, but I mean I could
- 6:37Speaker 3: see that, like they were coming in there day one
- 6:39Speaker 3: like oh, I'm ready to get married to Charity. I'm like, dude,
- 6:41Speaker 3: you haven't even met her yet, like you know what
- 6:43Speaker 3: I mean. It was just like I didn't even understand
- 6:46Speaker 3: like like how they could be in that place, you
- 6:48Speaker 3: know what I mean. And it's like, you know, I
- 6:50Speaker 3: I've heard like the attrition rate of like relationships after
- 6:54Speaker 3: the Bachelorette, and like for me, it's like, if I
- 6:56Speaker 3: was going to get engaged, I wanted I wanted it
- 6:58Speaker 3: to last, you know what I mean, Like I don't
- 7:00Speaker 3: want to just get.
- 7:00Speaker 1: Engaged for a show or anything like that.
- 7:02Speaker 3: And I feel like the guys were just in the
- 7:03Speaker 3: place where they're wanting to get engaged just to get engaged,
- 7:05Speaker 3: and that's not my heart was at.
- 7:06Speaker 1: So I just couldn't. I couldn't. I don't know, I
- 7:09Speaker 1: couldn't relate to them.
- 7:11Speaker 2: I appreciate you saying things on air, even if the
- 7:15Speaker 2: premise of the show is to hopefully end in marriage.
- 7:18Speaker 2: I do think that like the focus is on that
- 7:21Speaker 2: a little bit too early on, and I think it
- 7:24Speaker 2: can get like it just can get a little strange. However,
- 7:29Speaker 2: you know, you know how it goes, and people love
- 7:32Speaker 2: to focus people. The cast loves to focus on that.
- 7:35Speaker 2: They love to villainize a person who says like, can
- 7:38Speaker 2: we just not talk about engagement right now because like
- 7:41Speaker 2: she's dating, like you said, about twenty other people right now.
- 7:44Speaker 3: Yeah, And I'm I don't want to, you know, like
- 7:47Speaker 3: shade at anyone but at the same time, like if
- 7:50Speaker 3: you looked at the previews, I wasn't the only one
- 7:52Speaker 3: that turned out to be having a little bit of.
- 7:54Speaker 1: Doubts about engagement.
- 7:55Speaker 3: Like, see, these guys came at me, These guys came
- 7:58Speaker 3: at me and wanted to, like, you know, wanted to
- 8:01Speaker 3: just like you know, I don't even know right, Yeah,
- 8:05Speaker 3: they were they had the same reservation guide did they
- 8:07Speaker 3: just they lied and they didn't, you know, step up
- 8:09Speaker 3: to the play and say they did. You know, We're like, oh,
- 8:11Speaker 3: I have no doubts about you, Charity, I have no
- 8:13Speaker 3: doubts that I want you to meet my family.
- 8:14Speaker 1: And then it's like, I don't know if I want,
- 8:18Speaker 1: but I don't know, hypocritical a little bit, maybe I
- 8:21Speaker 1: don't know.
- 8:22Speaker 2: Uh huh, Okay, Well, you did end up getting a
- 8:25Speaker 2: little caught up in the idea that you couldn't do
- 8:27Speaker 2: it relatively early on, became a point of contention with
- 8:30Speaker 2: the guys, and then worrisome to Charity. You sit down
- 8:35Speaker 2: with her and then the conversation kind of goes to
- 8:38Speaker 2: you a self eliminating Did you would you call yourself
- 8:45Speaker 2: a self eliminator or do you think it was more
- 8:47Speaker 2: of a mutual decision. What did we miss if anything
- 8:50Speaker 2: from TV.
- 8:53Speaker 1: I would say, I don't know. I think.
- 8:57Speaker 3: There's a level of self elimination, a self a level
- 9:00Speaker 3: of her like, you know, realizing that she couldn't reach
- 9:03Speaker 3: me where I was at, like I just like kind
- 9:06Speaker 3: of closed off and just saying, hey, I'm gonna walk
- 9:07Speaker 3: you out.
- 9:08Speaker 1: I realized that I can't keep doing going down this road,
- 9:10Speaker 1: and so it.
- 9:11Speaker 3: Was like I think it was more of a mutual decision,
- 9:13Speaker 3: I would like to say, just because it's like I
- 9:16Speaker 3: realized that, like I kept trying to be okay with
- 9:19Speaker 3: the process.
- 9:20Speaker 1: I mean, my my journey through the Bachelor.
- 9:22Speaker 3: It was like I know people didn't get to see,
- 9:23Speaker 3: but like that night one when I got the like, yeah,
- 9:25Speaker 3: I got the first impression ro I was and that
- 9:27Speaker 3: was great, But it was like there was a level
- 9:28Speaker 3: of that where I it didn't necessarily feel that a
- 9:31Speaker 3: main way I got the like I like I went
- 9:34Speaker 3: from being on cloud and I because we have this
- 9:36Speaker 3: bomb like amazing connection and then all of a sudden,
- 9:39Speaker 3: I thought I was like the biggest dick in the world,
- 9:40Speaker 3: and I thought I had like disrespected her, and I
- 9:42Speaker 3: thought I was getting sent home and all of a sudden, no,
- 9:44Speaker 3: I was actually I actually made her feel good. And
- 9:47Speaker 3: then like the next week and so it's just like
- 9:50Speaker 3: there was like a lot like every week, I kept
- 9:52Speaker 3: getting caught up in this drama and I wasn't sure
- 9:54Speaker 3: if I was doing it. I mean, I was doing
- 9:55Speaker 3: it to myself because I just talked too much. I
- 9:57Speaker 3: guess like I was just like too open with everyone there.
- 10:00Speaker 1: But I don't know.
- 10:01Speaker 3: It's just like I I realized that I because I
- 10:04Speaker 3: kept having all this drama, I couldn't get out of
- 10:06Speaker 3: my head and there was way that I was going
- 10:07Speaker 3: to be able to get to the point to get
- 10:09Speaker 3: the knee at the end of this experience, and that's
- 10:11Speaker 3: what she wanted and I couldn't give it to her.
- 10:12Speaker 3: So I didn't want to waste her time. And I
- 10:14Speaker 3: think she just realized that I came to that conclusion
- 10:16Speaker 3: and there was no reaching, justigating decisions.
- 10:20Speaker 2: Do you feel like getting the first impression Rose put
- 10:22Speaker 2: a target on your back?
- 10:24Speaker 1: Yeah? I think it did.
- 10:25Speaker 3: It was It was bizarre because like one of the
- 10:28Speaker 3: craziest things for.
- 10:29Speaker 1: Me is Aarond.
- 10:30Speaker 3: We were in the limo together and he had come
- 10:34Speaker 3: up to me and he was like, oh, we're San
- 10:36Speaker 3: Diego boys, Like we're we live right up the street.
- 10:38Speaker 3: Like I want to get you, you know, I want
- 10:40Speaker 3: to get you plugged in with my people all hanging
- 10:42Speaker 3: out and I'm like, okay, like cool dude, Like it's
- 10:46Speaker 3: nice to meet you. Man, Like you know, it's like okay.
- 10:48Speaker 3: Also like we're gonna be burrows or whatever. And then
- 10:51Speaker 3: like and then just to see that night one him
- 10:54Speaker 3: saying he was going to war with me.
- 10:55Speaker 1: I had no idea I was going to war.
- 10:57Speaker 2: Like I was.
- 10:58Speaker 3: I was like, I was like, okay, this guy came
- 11:00Speaker 3: up to me, he shook my hand and he was
- 11:01Speaker 3: my friend. And it's like for me, it's like I guess,
- 11:04Speaker 3: like I'm a very what you see is what you
- 11:06Speaker 3: get kind of personal, Like what I say to your
- 11:07Speaker 3: face is what I'm saying behind, you know, behind closed doors.
- 11:10Speaker 3: Like even those like roasts I did of Sean and
- 11:12Speaker 3: stuff like that. I told Sean to his face off
- 11:14Speaker 3: those roosts.
- 11:14Speaker 1: I didn't. I've done the same.
- 11:15Speaker 2: Stuff, the butcher thing.
- 11:17Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, the butchon.
- 11:19Speaker 3: I actually it might have gone a little bit worse
- 11:21Speaker 3: because I was like I brought some toilet paper out.
- 11:22Speaker 1: I like here you go, bro, And it was like
- 11:23Speaker 1: kind of fun. But uh, they.
- 11:26Speaker 2: Might have cut that part as long as he was
- 11:28Speaker 2: down to make fun of himself. Plus, usually a chin
- 11:31Speaker 2: dimple is a nice thing on a man.
- 11:33Speaker 3: No, it is, he's a good like. The thing was
- 11:35Speaker 3: is he's a good looking dude, you know what I mean.
- 11:37Speaker 3: It was like and I said that. I was like, Bro,
- 11:39Speaker 3: you're you're uncomfortably good looking. Bro, Like I wish I
- 11:41Speaker 3: looked like you, you know.
- 11:42Speaker 1: But it was just like again, we were roasting each other,
- 11:45Speaker 1: like you know when you're when you're alone and you're
- 11:47Speaker 1: like joking.
- 11:47Speaker 3: Around and you do like everyone's joking, but it was
- 11:50Speaker 3: just like it was kind of like crazy to only
- 11:52Speaker 3: seeing my jokes being said.
- 11:53Speaker 1: I was like, ah, this is not a good monk.
- 11:54Speaker 1: You know.
- 12:06Speaker 2: Do you think that maybe you were a little bit
- 12:09Speaker 2: more villainized because there wasn't truly somebody who was really
- 12:14Speaker 2: creating chaos?
- 12:17Speaker 3: See, yeah, I think the villain of Theson didn't necessarily.
- 12:20Speaker 3: I actually think the villain of the season did create chaos.
- 12:23Speaker 1: I mean, I'm not.
- 12:24Speaker 3: Gonna say who, I think that somebody to I think
- 12:28Speaker 3: that the true villain of like in my opinion of
- 12:30Speaker 3: who I thought the villain of the season was. I mean,
- 12:32Speaker 3: I think he's shown himself already, and I think he's
- 12:34Speaker 3: been a root of some of the drama.
- 12:36Speaker 1: But I think I think people will be able to
- 12:38Speaker 1: see a little bit more later on.
- 12:40Speaker 2: I wonder who that could be if that is Aaron
- 12:44Speaker 2: b do you how do you how do you see
- 12:49Speaker 2: your maybe stinted paradise, because I'm gonna heavily presume that
- 12:52Speaker 2: you're going to paradise with him, to be if he
- 12:55Speaker 2: were to go to Paradise as well and not make
- 12:57Speaker 2: it to the end of this thing with Charity.
- 12:59Speaker 3: I'm I mean, I'm not really the type of person
- 13:02Speaker 3: holding any gradges, you know what I mean, Like, I like,
- 13:05Speaker 3: I don't have any bad blood. I was ready to
- 13:07Speaker 3: fight him when I was leaving, and like everyone's like, oh,
- 13:10Speaker 3: violence isn't the option, Violence isn't the answer.
- 13:12Speaker 1: IM like, no, sometimes I feel like it is. You know.
- 13:14Speaker 3: I was really like I tried to walk away from
- 13:16Speaker 3: that situation, and like he had followed me to the
- 13:18Speaker 3: car and he had like like literally like my back
- 13:21Speaker 3: was against the wall kind of situation.
- 13:22Speaker 1: I'm like, okay, dude, Like this is enough.
- 13:24Speaker 3: Like this is where I'm gonna fight, and so like
- 13:26Speaker 3: I I definitely at that point, I was definitely. But
- 13:29Speaker 3: I have no bad blood, I have no no bad
- 13:31Speaker 3: wishes for him. I wish him the best of everything.
- 13:33Speaker 3: But I just we just didn't see eye to eye.
- 13:36Speaker 3: I just felt like he was kind of being you
- 13:38Speaker 3: know again, I just didn't.
- 13:39Speaker 1: Agree with the way he went about a lot of things.
- 13:42Speaker 2: But first it started out with what's his name? Who
- 13:45Speaker 2: like really had a vendetta for you early on? Oh, Adrian, Adrian? Yeah,
- 13:51Speaker 2: So how did it move over to Aaron?
- 13:54Speaker 3: I think it was just I don't know. I think
- 13:58Speaker 3: it was funny because like he who said it. But
- 14:00Speaker 3: someone came up to me and they're like, they're like,
- 14:02Speaker 3: Adrian took a shot and he missed, and I'm like, okay, bro,
- 14:05Speaker 3: and I'm like and then I guess he just realized
- 14:08Speaker 3: that he wasn't gonna, like, I don't know, take me down,
- 14:10Speaker 3: I guess or anything. And so someone else wanted to
- 14:12Speaker 3: take another shot, and then all of a sudden, all
- 14:15Speaker 3: ten guys were taking shots at me, and I'm like, dang,
- 14:17Speaker 3: here we go like I'm a fighting one on ten.
- 14:20Speaker 2: So you end up interrupting John during his one on
- 14:23Speaker 2: one time with Charity to basically say I'm sorry to
- 14:28Speaker 2: Charity about just how everything went down. You weren't asking
- 14:30Speaker 2: to come back or were you secretly trying to ask
- 14:33Speaker 2: to come back? And we didn't really gather that.
- 14:36Speaker 1: No, I wasn't really asking to come back.
- 14:38Speaker 3: And like also, like, I mean, I know, I know
- 14:41Speaker 3: he's saying I was interrupting him, but I don't know
- 14:44Speaker 3: if you guys saw, but I was. I was standing
- 14:46Speaker 3: there for like a cool five to ten minutes watching
- 14:49Speaker 3: their whole conversation, like it was very uncomfortable. Like I mean,
- 14:52Speaker 3: I watched him talk about like the family, their interests,
- 14:55Speaker 3: all that stuff, and then all of a sudden saw
- 14:57Speaker 3: him making out in front of.
- 14:57Speaker 1: Me, And I'm like, dude, like I didn't I didn't
- 15:01Speaker 1: interrupt your conversation.
- 15:02Speaker 3: I let you finish. I let you finish to the
- 15:03Speaker 3: point where you guys were wiping the makeup on your
- 15:05Speaker 3: face and you're about to go back to the guys
- 15:07Speaker 3: Like that was terrible, Like you know how like I
- 15:10Speaker 3: talked about it a little bit, it's crappy to watch
- 15:12Speaker 3: the person you like kiss someone else, Like you know
- 15:14Speaker 3: what I mean? And I understood that I was leaving.
- 15:15Speaker 3: At that point, I had nothing to really stay like.
- 15:17Speaker 3: I just wanted to apologize, and I didn't want to
- 15:19Speaker 3: interrupt a connection she seemed to be formal with John.
- 15:22Speaker 3: So I literally sat there and just like I took
- 15:24Speaker 3: it on the chin. I felt, I just watch it.
- 15:26Speaker 3: I was like, this sucks so bad. So I don't
- 15:28Speaker 3: feel like I interrupted him again. It may look like
- 15:30Speaker 3: I did. He may feel I did, and I'm sorry
- 15:32Speaker 3: that he feels I interrupted, but I tried to make
- 15:33Speaker 3: him could well.
- 15:35Speaker 2: I'm also sure it wasn't your choice as to when
- 15:37Speaker 2: you were to come and give your apologize, So no
- 15:43Speaker 2: comments on that, but that it's true you did if
- 15:46Speaker 2: you did stand back for so long. We did see
- 15:48Speaker 2: a little snippet of you waiting there in the wings,
- 15:51Speaker 2: and Ben and I aret, well, we both agreed, but
- 15:54Speaker 2: like argued for your sake that like they were just
- 15:56Speaker 2: in the middle of making out, and the making out portion,
- 15:59Speaker 2: especially on the show, always wraps up the conversation. They
- 16:02Speaker 2: weren't going to be saying anything more.
- 16:04Speaker 3: Yeah, but I mean again, everyone, I think it was
- 16:07Speaker 3: just like I think everyone saw me as the villain,
- 16:12Speaker 3: so everyone's gonna hoping on that trend and just like
- 16:14Speaker 3: again trying to you know, validate themselves a little bit
- 16:16Speaker 3: more by you know, saying, oh, yeah, he's such a
- 16:18Speaker 3: bad guy.
- 16:19Speaker 1: So I don't know, they got to do what they
- 16:21Speaker 1: got to do.
- 16:21Speaker 2: I guess, out of all the comments that you've seen
- 16:25Speaker 2: from social media the media about you being on the show,
- 16:30Speaker 2: what has hurt you or shocked you the most?
- 16:35Speaker 1: Nothing's really like, nothing really hurt me too much.
- 16:39Speaker 3: The worst comment that I got so far on social
- 16:40Speaker 3: media had to be someone that said that they had
- 16:43Speaker 3: cancer in twenty seventeen and seeing me on TV was worse.
- 16:47Speaker 2: What in the f Yeah, that is just the strangest
- 16:53Speaker 2: thing ever. Okay, well, I'm glad that you are handling
- 16:56Speaker 2: it like a cham and it sounds like you're in
- 16:59Speaker 2: the spirits possibly being able to go to Bachelor in Paradise,
- 17:03Speaker 2: which has already filmed wild the cast has been back
- 17:07Speaker 2: for quite some time now. If you do go to Paradise,
- 17:11Speaker 2: which I know you cannot confirm or deny at this point,
- 17:13Speaker 2: are there any girls in the community that you know
- 17:16Speaker 2: that you'd be interested in.
- 17:18Speaker 3: Honestly, I would have to go back and watch the
- 17:21Speaker 3: Zach season because I have not, Like I mean, I
- 17:25Speaker 3: don't really know too many of the girls at all,
- 17:26Speaker 3: but I know a lot of them get pulled from
- 17:27Speaker 3: the Zach season, and so if I go to Paradise,
- 17:30Speaker 3: I definitely have to watch and see possibly who I
- 17:34Speaker 3: could talk because I hadn't really watched all the ZAC
- 17:36Speaker 3: seasons entirely. I watched the hometowns to see who Charity
- 17:39Speaker 3: was and we get to know more about her, and
- 17:41Speaker 3: then I watched her one on one date with that
- 17:44Speaker 3: version with the piggyback rind and stuff. But I only
- 17:46Speaker 3: watched her episodes before I came in the show, So
- 17:50Speaker 3: I don't I don't really, I don't really know it'so
- 17:51Speaker 3: much about the other girls. But I'm gonna go and
- 17:53Speaker 3: do my homeworkt and hopefully and hopefully watch a couple
- 17:59Speaker 3: more episodes of Pairs and try to understand what the
- 18:01Speaker 3: concept is, because you know, we know I already one
- 18:05Speaker 3: show not understanding what was going on.
- 18:07Speaker 1: I don't want to do that in another.
- 18:09Speaker 2: Paradise is a lot less serious about the engagement at
- 18:11Speaker 2: the end, especially as seasons go on and they see
- 18:14Speaker 2: that there's a high success rate, myself included, when they
- 18:20Speaker 2: let people have their time post show to get engaged
- 18:25Speaker 2: and more of a quote normal person timeline. What will
- 18:29Speaker 2: you change behaviorally if you go to Paradise or will
- 18:34Speaker 2: you stay true to the braidon that we saw on
- 18:36Speaker 2: Charity season.
- 18:39Speaker 3: I don't know I would. I'd like to try to
- 18:42Speaker 3: change some things maybe if I do go on.
- 18:45Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 18:46Speaker 3: I I don't know. I don't really think I'm going
- 18:49Speaker 3: to change too much. I'm gonna try to be nicer.
- 18:52Speaker 3: I'm going to be trying to be more considerate and
- 18:54Speaker 3: not roast too often. But it's like it's hard because
- 18:58Speaker 3: it's like joking around with people's fuck you know. Maybe
- 19:00Speaker 3: they might just not throw all my jokes in it.
- 19:02Speaker 3: That'd be kind of nice, But I think i'd be
- 19:05Speaker 3: I think i'd worry more about, like, you know, interacting
- 19:08Speaker 3: with others. Maybe I don't know. I guess I don't know.
- 19:12Speaker 3: I don't I'd have to have to hit the hit
- 19:15Speaker 3: the playbook or drawing board on that one.
- 19:17Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 19:19Speaker 2: Right well, I hope that you and Aaron b if
- 19:21Speaker 2: you both do go, have different tastes in women, because
- 19:25Speaker 2: a love triangle between you guys would hurt and as
- 19:29Speaker 2: you said could end in a fight, a physical fight. Anyway,
- 19:33Speaker 2: let's move on to I should love that, I should
- 19:36Speaker 2: know we've we've seen it can get real hot in
- 19:41Speaker 2: paradise in many ways. You mentioned at the top of
- 19:45Speaker 2: our show that you still sort of have like these
- 19:49Speaker 2: lingering feelings and doubts as far as as far as
- 19:52Speaker 2: you're leaving charity as early as you did. So give
- 19:56Speaker 2: me elaborate on this, Like do you think about her often?
- 19:59Speaker 2: Do you really wonder what if and if she were
- 20:03Speaker 2: to not end up like let's just say, I don't
- 20:06Speaker 2: know for any I don't know for certain that she
- 20:09Speaker 2: ends up with anybody, but if she does, let's just
- 20:12Speaker 2: say down the road they don't make it. Is that
- 20:14Speaker 2: like somebody you're gonna think, like, oh, I should reach
- 20:16Speaker 2: out to them.
- 20:18Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean so one thing that like one of
- 20:20Speaker 3: the reasons why I also came back and apologized. I
- 20:23Speaker 3: don't think it made the cut of the show, but
- 20:26Speaker 3: like one thing that happened was when I was leaving
- 20:28Speaker 3: and I gave her a hug before I got in
- 20:30Speaker 3: a limo or the suburban the first time, and I
- 20:33Speaker 3: was just like, hey, like you I know that I
- 20:35Speaker 3: couldn't handle it here, but I wish you the best
- 20:37Speaker 3: of this, but if it doesn't work out, I'm not
- 20:39Speaker 3: you know, maybe connect again and see if something could
- 20:41Speaker 3: happened on the outside. And I really didn't mean that,
- 20:43Speaker 3: like me and her had at least for me. I
- 20:46Speaker 3: mean again, I felt like we had chemistry. I had
- 20:49Speaker 3: so much fun every time I was hanging out with here.
- 20:51Speaker 3: I think she was a good woman. I really enjoyed
- 20:55Speaker 3: my time that I got to spend with her. It was
- 20:56Speaker 3: just again like I got so caught up. And that's
- 20:59Speaker 3: the part, the part that I'm disappointed in is I
- 21:01Speaker 3: got so caught up and it's like I got caught
- 21:04Speaker 3: up in the drama with the other guys, and it's
- 21:06Speaker 3: like instead of just like ignoring them or like not
- 21:08Speaker 3: interacting with them, which what I should have done, you know,
- 21:11Speaker 3: is just kind of focused on was talking to her
- 21:12Speaker 3: and not like really engaging with them, I let them
- 21:16Speaker 3: get in my head or not, Yeah, I let them
- 21:18Speaker 3: get in my head. And it kind of like is
- 21:19Speaker 3: what ended up leading to me what I feel like
- 21:21Speaker 3: ended up leading to me just like leaving the experience
- 21:23Speaker 3: because it's like I liked her, I just was like
- 21:26Speaker 3: I just I couldn't get over, like I guess, like
- 21:29Speaker 3: seeing some of the guys that she was picking to,
- 21:31Speaker 3: it just frustured me because I'm like, how.
- 21:32Speaker 1: Can you pick this guy?
- 21:33Speaker 3: Like like this guy is like I don't you know
- 21:36Speaker 3: what I mean, like you have I think Aaron said
- 21:38Speaker 3: it about me and I I mean I felt the.
- 21:39Speaker 1: Same about her. This guy should not me here, you
- 21:42Speaker 1: know what I mean.
- 21:42Speaker 3: And when you see someone here there that you don't
- 21:44Speaker 3: feel like should be there, it's just like so frustured,
- 21:46Speaker 3: like how do you like that guy be At the
- 21:48Speaker 3: same time, you know what I.
- 21:49Speaker 2: Mean, everybody who's done the show, we've all felt that
- 21:51Speaker 2: way at one point or another. Do you regret kissing
- 21:56Speaker 2: and telling so much? Especially up front that first night?
- 21:59Speaker 3: So that first night, I mean, I don't I can't
- 22:01Speaker 3: give away too much, but like, uh, everyone saw me
- 22:04Speaker 3: kiss her, Like the thing was like, so I know that,
- 22:06Speaker 3: I know that.
- 22:07Speaker 1: It looks like I was going around town to everyone,
- 22:09Speaker 1: Yeah I kissed.
- 22:09Speaker 3: Her and stuff, and I did, like I was really
- 22:11Speaker 3: excited about kissing her, but a lot of people were like,
- 22:13Speaker 3: I saw your kiss.
- 22:14Speaker 1: I was it, And I was.
- 22:15Speaker 3: Like, oh, it was really good, you know, like for me,
- 22:17Speaker 3: like if like I knew they saw me kiss her,
- 22:21Speaker 3: like she knew they saw me kiss her, and it
- 22:24Speaker 3: was like again like they were people came up to
- 22:27Speaker 3: me and were asking me like, oh I saw your
- 22:28Speaker 3: kiss I wasn't or like you know, and even in
- 22:30Speaker 3: one of the clips you hear Caleb say, He's like,
- 22:32Speaker 3: oh I heard you got a snooch, and I'm like, yeah, awesome.
- 22:34Speaker 3: You know, it's like I don't know, like if like
- 22:37Speaker 3: if people asking, I guess maybe that's maybe I won't
- 22:39Speaker 3: do that in the future if people ask me if
- 22:41Speaker 3: I kissed someone, I'll just say no, I didn't kiss
- 22:43Speaker 3: but like I don't know, And then I feel like
- 22:45Speaker 3: that could have been spun around another way too, like oh,
- 22:47Speaker 3: he's denying that he kissed you, but everyone saw him
- 22:49Speaker 3: kiss you.
- 22:50Speaker 1: Is he ashamed and saying he kissed you? You know what
- 22:51Speaker 1: I mean?
- 22:52Speaker 3: Like I don't know, like it was a lose lose
- 22:55Speaker 3: like people are gonna like people are gonna be upset
- 22:57Speaker 3: anyways because they saw me kiss her, and it was
- 22:59Speaker 3: like they were upset that I guess, right.
- 23:00Speaker 1: I guess, I don't know.
- 23:02Speaker 2: I don't know I see that. So I think that
- 23:17Speaker 2: if you find the love of your life on this show,
- 23:21Speaker 2: which I did, and I felt it at first sight.
- 23:25Speaker 2: Now I love it first I don't think that all marriages,
- 23:28Speaker 2: like long term marriages, have to be like a love
- 23:31Speaker 2: at first sight situation. I believe that like love can
- 23:34Speaker 2: definitely grow. That's how it was for my husband. But
- 23:39Speaker 2: I do think that, like in my case, seeing him,
- 23:44Speaker 2: even as hard as it would be if he were
- 23:46Speaker 2: the lead and I had to watch other people date
- 23:49Speaker 2: him and go through that whole process, I would sacrifice
- 23:54Speaker 2: that and like go through all that pain in order
- 23:57Speaker 2: to be with him at the end. So that makes
- 24:00Speaker 2: me feel like you just ultimately didn't think that charity
- 24:04Speaker 2: was your person.
- 24:06Speaker 1: And I think that's I think that's a fair I
- 24:08Speaker 1: think that's a fair perspective.
- 24:09Speaker 3: I mean, I I could see how, you know, people
- 24:12Speaker 3: could say, like you know, love like love enders all,
- 24:14Speaker 3: you know what I mean.
- 24:15Speaker 1: It's like, I know that's a that's a that is all.
- 24:17Speaker 1: I think that's a verse.
- 24:18Speaker 3: But in the Bible, I'm not sure, but I think
- 24:20Speaker 3: love NDErs is like, uh, is definitely something and I
- 24:23Speaker 3: don't know it was just I I guess.
- 24:25Speaker 2: Maybe yeah, that's okay.
- 24:27Speaker 1: Obviously, maybe like I could handle seeing it. I don't know,
- 24:30Speaker 1: It's just like if.
- 24:31Speaker 2: It was a different girl, like maybe you could have
- 24:32Speaker 2: handled it longer.
- 24:34Speaker 1: Honestly, I think it was.
- 24:35Speaker 3: It was also just really close to home with some
- 24:37Speaker 3: previous stuff that I had experienced in a past relationship,
- 24:40Speaker 3: as far as like having someone that I love, you know,
- 24:44Speaker 3: like knowing that she was with other people, you know
- 24:46Speaker 3: what I'm saying.
- 24:48Speaker 1: And I thought, like.
- 24:48Speaker 3: Coming into like I'd gone to counseling and I'd gone
- 24:50Speaker 3: and talked to someone and like, you know, really tried
- 24:52Speaker 3: to handle a lot of like you know, the trauma
- 24:54Speaker 3: of like you know, having someone to cheat on you
- 24:55Speaker 3: and things like that, and I thought I had dealt
- 24:58Speaker 3: with it. But when I got in this situation and
- 24:59Speaker 3: I'm seeing someone say that they have this connection with
- 25:02Speaker 3: me and kissing other people at the same time, I
- 25:04Speaker 3: know it's not the same. Because you know, again that
- 25:06Speaker 3: we signed up for the show. We all came in
- 25:07Speaker 3: with the understanding that that's what was going to happen.
- 25:09Speaker 3: But when I saw it, I reacted in a different
- 25:11Speaker 3: way than what I thought I was going to react
- 25:13Speaker 3: to it, you know what I mean?
- 25:14Speaker 1: Does that make sense?
- 25:15Speaker 3: Like I I truly thought that I had dealt with
- 25:17Speaker 3: all that stuff that I had already dealt with it, you.
- 25:19Speaker 1: Know what I mean.
- 25:20Speaker 3: Yeah, and and like but I realized that I hadn't
- 25:25Speaker 3: dealt with it, and I wasn't okay with it, and
- 25:27Speaker 3: I couldn't get myself to be okay with it, Like
- 25:29Speaker 3: it just it.
- 25:30Speaker 1: Kept making me.
- 25:31Speaker 3: It brought up a lot of old feelings and a
- 25:33Speaker 3: lot of old emotions of feeling like, you know, unimportant
- 25:36Speaker 3: and insignificant stuff like that. And so I think that's
- 25:39Speaker 3: a lot of why you see me react the way
- 25:40Speaker 3: I do. And it's not an excuse. Like again, like
- 25:43Speaker 3: I knew it, Like I knew she was gonna kissing
- 25:45Speaker 3: other people. I should have came in and like been
- 25:47Speaker 3: flying with it. But again, like you can think you're
- 25:50Speaker 3: going to react in like one way when you're in
- 25:52Speaker 3: the situation and you're experiencing it and you're acting a
- 25:54Speaker 3: whole difference.
- 25:55Speaker 1: So I don't know, I don't.
- 25:57Speaker 3: Want to necessarily say that it wasn't that I didn't
- 26:00Speaker 3: have feelings for charity, because I did. But you know,
- 26:02Speaker 3: maybe maybe I will meet that one person some day
- 26:04Speaker 3: that could do something like that.
- 26:06Speaker 1: I mean, i'd be okay with that I don't know.
- 26:08Speaker 1: You know, It's like, I don't know.
- 26:10Speaker 2: I totally understand being on the show. I definitely reacted
- 26:14Speaker 2: in situations a lot crazier than I would think I
- 26:18Speaker 2: would before getting into it, right, all right. So I'm
- 26:23Speaker 2: thinking though that those experiences that you did have going,
- 26:26Speaker 2: you know, previous, did they possibly play a role of
- 26:30Speaker 2: the way you responded when she had the on stage
- 26:34Speaker 2: kiss competition with Joey, Because after that you pulled her
- 26:37Speaker 2: aside and said, like, I didn't like the way that
- 26:39Speaker 2: you went with that. If you had been the bachelor
- 26:42Speaker 2: in that moment and you were given that staged moment,
- 26:46Speaker 2: real produced moment a game show, how would you responded.
- 26:51Speaker 1: It wasn't that she kissed Joey for five minutes. I like,
- 26:54Speaker 1: that wasn't where my issue was.
- 26:55Speaker 2: Yeah, I know, like it was doing it like on
- 26:57Speaker 2: stage in front of all the guys.
- 26:58Speaker 1: Yeah, it was the guys having a front and center.
- 27:00Speaker 3: And I mean, I I mean, I know we can
- 27:03Speaker 3: all say how we would react or what we would
- 27:06Speaker 3: do in that situation. I would like to think that
- 27:07Speaker 3: if I was in that situation, I would have filled
- 27:09Speaker 3: the producers to like, you know, have the guys go
- 27:11Speaker 3: first and leave and like let it be a private
- 27:13Speaker 3: moment between me and the person. But I mean again,
- 27:17Speaker 3: like I like, I do want to address one thing
- 27:20Speaker 3: on that. Like a lot of people said that I
- 27:21Speaker 3: called her class list. I never said she classes. I
- 27:26Speaker 3: said that I felt like the I felt like the
- 27:27Speaker 3: situation was like the event itself was kind of disrespectful to.
- 27:31Speaker 1: Those guys that were there, you know what I mean.
- 27:33Speaker 3: Like, I don't think that her kissing someone for five
- 27:36Speaker 3: minutes is classes at all, Like that's what you like
- 27:38Speaker 3: when you're meeting someone, you're getting to know people.
- 27:40Speaker 1: That's not what I had the issue with.
- 27:42Speaker 3: It was, like I guess, like I was just like
- 27:44Speaker 3: did she know that those guys were front and center?
- 27:46Speaker 3: And like one thing that didn't make the cut or
- 27:48Speaker 3: didn't really show like in it is like when we
- 27:50Speaker 3: had our conversation too, It's like she didn't know that
- 27:53Speaker 3: the guys were going to be forced to stand in front.
- 27:55Speaker 1: She didn't know that, Like it ended up being something
- 27:57Speaker 1: that happened.
- 27:58Speaker 3: You know what I mean, and she had to deal
- 28:01Speaker 3: with like whatever happened accurate, But she didn't intentionally say,
- 28:04Speaker 3: like know that the guys are.
- 28:05Speaker 1: Going to sit in front center and want to put
- 28:06Speaker 1: them through that.
- 28:07Speaker 3: And so when we talked about that and she told
- 28:08Speaker 3: me that, like that's why I apologize, I was like,
- 28:10Speaker 3: you know, I'm sorry because I quite the fact that
- 28:11Speaker 3: I even thought that, you know, the fact fact that
- 28:13Speaker 3: I even thought that, it feels like you know that
- 28:15Speaker 3: you would you know that it wouldn't be I don't know,
- 28:17Speaker 3: Like I was just apologizing because I was wrong for
- 28:19Speaker 3: questioning her character in that moment, you know, but like again,
- 28:22Speaker 3: it did bring up those past things in the past relationships,
- 28:24Speaker 3: Like I had someone that you know that had done
- 28:27Speaker 3: something like that to me, and I felt like they
- 28:30Speaker 3: didn't even care that they did you know what I mean,
- 28:32Speaker 3: did what they did to me? You know what I'm saying,
- 28:33Speaker 3: Like if that again, it's different, but it's like similar,
- 28:36Speaker 3: there's there's similarity between them. Again.
- 28:38Speaker 2: No, I've really appreciated getting like a lot of contexts
- 28:41Speaker 2: from you. I think that people are going to leave
- 28:44Speaker 2: this interview being hopeful that you'll be on paradise. Let's
- 28:50Speaker 2: let's wrap this up with a few fun questions. Where
- 28:54Speaker 2: do you get your earrings from? Do you collect them?
- 28:57Speaker 3: I do collect them. I'm not wearing any right now.
- 28:59Speaker 3: I know I work in psych and so if I'm
- 29:02Speaker 3: wearing my dangly, I have a patient like tear a mouth,
- 29:04Speaker 3: you know what I mean. But I I typically go
- 29:07Speaker 3: to farmers markets, some of the ones you guys saw
- 29:10Speaker 3: me where I actually bought in Scamania.
- 29:12Speaker 1: There's like a there's a.
- 29:13Speaker 3: Little gift shop and it was like a handcafted one
- 29:17Speaker 3: by someone that lives out there, and so I bought
- 29:19Speaker 3: a couple of parents out there from there and then
- 29:22Speaker 3: back to home at farmers markets and stuff like that.
- 29:23Speaker 3: But I have like over thirty ears, so you guys
- 29:25Speaker 3: will see more if I ever come on any.
- 29:28Speaker 2: For me, and Paradise would be a place to wear
- 29:30Speaker 2: tropical earrings. I always bring the typical look and jewelry there.
- 29:35Speaker 3: Let's just say I have a jewelry board that if
- 29:37Speaker 3: I went somewhere I would work.
- 29:39Speaker 2: Okay, cool? All right? So you are a traveling psychiatric nurse,
- 29:46Speaker 2: do you? How do you? Okay? I don't understand the
- 29:48Speaker 2: traveling nurse. Why choose to be traveling nurse over a
- 29:51Speaker 2: nurse that has more of a base.
- 29:54Speaker 1: So one. I've been also wanting to go back to school.
- 29:56Speaker 3: I want to eventually go get my MP and so
- 29:59Speaker 3: I've been liking the fact that, like I'm able to
- 30:01Speaker 3: bounce around from the contract to contract and kind of
- 30:04Speaker 3: have my schedule change rather than be stuck in like
- 30:06Speaker 3: one specific schedule.
- 30:08Speaker 1: It pay is a lot better. You get paid for
- 30:11Speaker 1: traveling nurse.
- 30:12Speaker 3: Yeah, so you get paid travel nurse paying is really
- 30:16Speaker 3: like really nice. And then also like I like to
- 30:18Speaker 3: kind of like mix up what I'm doing from time
- 30:20Speaker 3: to time, Like I don't want to be like sometimes
- 30:23Speaker 3: I mean I do like psych but a lot of times,
- 30:24Speaker 3: like you can get burnt down stuff Like I've done
- 30:27Speaker 3: hospice before, and I did hospice for a while and.
- 30:30Speaker 2: It's got to be the most emotionally draining.
- 30:32Speaker 3: Yeah, it was one of the toughest jobs I had,
- 30:34Speaker 3: and it honestly gave me like one of the greatest
- 30:36Speaker 3: appreciations for life. And like, honestly it's the reason why
- 30:40Speaker 3: I kind of like I am a bit of the
- 30:42Speaker 3: way I am because it's like I'm so like every
- 30:44Speaker 3: experience I'm enjoying to the max because I know that
- 30:46Speaker 3: a lot of people don't get to enjoy all these experiences.
- 30:48Speaker 3: But yeah, so I don't know, I like to I
- 30:50Speaker 3: like to balance around, so I don't get burnt out,
- 30:51Speaker 3: I guess, And so I think that a lot of
- 30:54Speaker 3: nurses like because the jobs are so difficult, it's I
- 30:56Speaker 3: can get burnt out.
- 30:58Speaker 2: So yeah, So then do you how often are you
- 31:02Speaker 2: in a different city. Isn't it like as little as
- 31:05Speaker 2: three months? So it could be like a really good
- 31:07Speaker 2: job for a single person, right, yeah.
- 31:10Speaker 3: So, I mean I was in Santa Barbara previously, and
- 31:12Speaker 3: I was there. I mean, they can all you can
- 31:14Speaker 3: get extensions on different contracts, but I was there for
- 31:17Speaker 3: about a year. I'm now coming up on about a
- 31:20Speaker 3: year mark in San Diego. I don't know if I'm
- 31:22Speaker 3: gon bunce around somewhere else. I was thinking about potentially
- 31:24Speaker 3: getting my license I extended to another state, another state.
- 31:29Speaker 3: I just love the beach too much. I love serving
- 31:30Speaker 3: so much, and I'm I've had quite a bit of
- 31:32Speaker 3: friends that I've played out here in San Diego that
- 31:34Speaker 3: I love time, so it be hard, So maybe I
- 31:37Speaker 3: might look at a more permanent.
- 31:38Speaker 1: Job than short future.
- 31:40Speaker 2: Well, how did you get into nursing? What interest you
- 31:42Speaker 2: about it?
- 31:43Speaker 3: Originally the goal I wanted to go to med school.
- 31:46Speaker 3: That was originally the goal. So I joined the Army.
- 31:48Speaker 3: Out of high school, they had an MS like six pie,
- 31:51Speaker 3: which is a nurse or licensed practical nursing specialist. And
- 31:56Speaker 3: I went in did all that, got my nursing license,
- 31:59Speaker 3: and then and after a few years, I ended up
- 32:02Speaker 3: coming back. I went to I transferred by reserves after that,
- 32:05Speaker 3: and then I was just going to school and then
- 32:07Speaker 3: I graduated last year from UC Santa Barbara, and I
- 32:11Speaker 3: got my bachelor. Plan was to go to med school.
- 32:14Speaker 3: But now I'm kind of rethinking that and thinking that
- 32:16Speaker 3: you know, MP is more than what's MP stand for
- 32:19Speaker 3: a nurse practitioner.
- 32:21Speaker 2: Oh okay, okay, great, all right, Well BT Brydon, You're
- 32:25Speaker 2: super interesting and I would love to know more about
- 32:28Speaker 2: just one more thing about your career. Has anybody in
- 32:33Speaker 2: like the hospital you work at, the out of a
- 32:35Speaker 2: hospital or in office I work at, has anybody recognized
- 32:40Speaker 2: you when you go to a patient since the show.
- 32:44Speaker 3: No, none of my patients really recognized me. I think
- 32:46Speaker 3: I'm very different when I'm working.
- 32:48Speaker 1: Than i am when I'm out in the out.
- 32:50Speaker 3: Like I mean, I still have fun and I still
- 32:52Speaker 3: have fun with my patients and stuff like that. But
- 32:54Speaker 3: as far as like, as far as the wildness that
- 32:57Speaker 3: I feel like I have in like my work life, I.
- 33:01Speaker 1: Don't have that necessarily no work.
- 33:02Speaker 3: I like to be professional, you know, make sure that's
- 33:04Speaker 3: importantly there. Mak you feel like they're being taken care of,
- 33:07Speaker 3: so I don't think they really recognize me. Also, I'm
- 33:09Speaker 3: in like in to meto motor right now. Been growing
- 33:11Speaker 3: the face flow hair out, you know, letting the hair dangle.
- 33:14Speaker 3: So no earrings in, you know.
- 33:17Speaker 2: Yeah, if you did have like feather earrings on, it
- 33:19Speaker 2: would be a giveaway. You probably get recognized more.
- 33:21Speaker 3: The only time I've ever been recognized is when people
- 33:23Speaker 3: like seeing me from behind, They're like, wait, is that Braden,
- 33:25Speaker 3: I'm like coming my earings up because they see the
- 33:27Speaker 3: dangles from behind?
- 33:29Speaker 2: All right, well, Brandon, Ben and I always say that
- 33:32Speaker 2: it's hard not to like someone when you get to
- 33:35Speaker 2: know them, and I feel like that has definitely occurred
- 33:37Speaker 2: here with a lot of Bachelor Nations fans out there listening.
- 33:42Speaker 2: So thank you so much for sharing your story, opening
- 33:46Speaker 2: your heart, especially there at the end. And maybe we'll
- 33:49Speaker 2: see you more very soon on our TVs and you'll
- 33:53Speaker 2: come back if there's more to chat about there.
- 33:55Speaker 1: It sounds good. Thank you so much for having me.
- 33:57Speaker 2: Thanks Brendan and bye
