Todd Black, the mastermind behind Denzel Washington’s biggest hits, is set to receive the inaugural Career Producer Honor at this year’s Virginia Film Festival — a brand-new award created to spotlight the unsung heroes behind the scenes. Thanks to a generous endowment from producer Julie Lynn, the festival is celebrating producers’ vital role in filmmaking.
