  [SPEAKER_00]: It was Trevor Sikama and his co-host, not the same show as the NFL draft stock exchange that we reviewed their three round mock draft last week, but it is still PFF and there are definitely some similarities here.

  [SPEAKER_00]: league calendar, newly year starts, and then for agency right after that, and then, you know, late April, you'll get into the actual draft.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So this stuff will come a little bit faster than it normally does, because I'm checking out what Mary's doing.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The jackwares want a little bit farther this year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So you start talking about free agency and the draft and all that stuff a little bit later, which is exciting.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Looking at the Jaguars first pick, they currently have round two pick 56 is their first pick.

  [SPEAKER_00]: If the Jaguars want to move up, they absolutely will be able to.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They have so much draft capital.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Not only in 2026, but beyond that they can be aggressive.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They could be aggressive to potentially pursue a trade for a veteran that could be a big impact.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They could potentially be aggressive to pursue a trade for a prospect in the NFL draft that could make a big impact.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The PFF, mock draft here did not have them doing that.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They were picked safety and manual, make Neil Warren out of Toledo, who they had the Jaguars picking.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I like Emmanuel McNeill Warren's game a lot.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Let's start with that.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Safety Emmanuel McNair Warren, I have Toledo.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think there's versatility to play a variety of different roles within the defense.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think there's legitimate ball skills and aggressiveness.

  [SPEAKER_00]: There's length.

  [SPEAKER_00]: A lot of things you can get excited about with Emmanuel McNair Warren.

  [SPEAKER_00]: However, I don't understand why every single mock I look at.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Safety is like the first pick for the Jaguars.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Is there a path for a safety potentially down the road being a starter for the January?

  [SPEAKER_00]: Is it a clear clear path?

  [SPEAKER_00]: That's more debatable.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Obviously this year you're going to have Eric Murray on the roster.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's going to be a factor and as much as some folks want to poo poo that idea and part of the problem with national

  [SPEAKER_00]: people doing team centric mock drafts is they're just not that plugged in, Eric Murray had a good year for the Jaguars.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He was a leader on and off the field.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think that they still will have plans for him to be a, if not a starter, definitely a heavy rotational player at safety on their defense.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And then you have Antonio Johnson who was PFF's highest rated

  [SPEAKER_00]: Um, and he's a versatile player as well.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And then you have Kayla Branson, who the Jaguars drafted in the third round, the Jaguars traded back up from from the fourth round to get back into the third round to make sure that they could secure Kayla Branson and why I'm island.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They want to both of those guys that got both of those guys, both of them dealt with injury a little bit this year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Kayla Branson missed the entire year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So, that's three players right there at the safety position, plus Rayon Lane, who acquitted himself very well.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, he's going to be on the roster for sure.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So, then you're talking about five safeties.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it's not unheard of to have five safeties on our roster, certainly, I think that that could happen.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But the path to Emmanuel McMillan, getting playing time, is either him getting playing time over Caleb Branson,

  [SPEAKER_00]: or Antonio Johnson or Eric Murray, which all those things are possible, and then like twenty twenty seven, you could look at it and say, Kayla Branson on a manual McNeil Warren as your two starting safeties, but that's twenty twenty seven.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think that he probably should get off, you know, should probably be taken off the board earlier than this.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But safety to me, I just don't understand why everybody seems to think that that's the Jaguar's biggest need.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It's just people forgetting that Eric Murray is going to be a factor in Caleb Ransot is going to be a factor.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, clearly, you can't be forgetting about Antonio Johnson and what he did this year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And maybe the Jaguar's do value safety the way these folks think, and to me, it's like the Jaguar's looking at this, it's

  [SPEAKER_00]: Is Emmanuel McNeill Warren or is ex-safety?

  [SPEAKER_00]: The player at this point in the draft that can make the biggest impact for us over the next three to five years.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe Emmanuel McNeill Warren could be that or you saw a Thanaman from Oregon has been mocked to the Jaguars.

  [SPEAKER_00]: at safety as that because I believe in Caleb Ransal I believe in Antonio Johnson I think Eric Murray is going to be a good a good role player for them again in 2020 2026 so that's just my line of thinking maybe I'm completely wrong I think that there's other areas

  [SPEAKER_00]: I like the animal a lot too, from Oregon.

  [SPEAKER_00]: At 81, the Jaguars first, third round pick of which they have three.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They go image Johnson here from Nebraska, and if you've been paying attention, the running back out of Nebraska is a player who I identified.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think he's a player that could really definitely, potentially fit with the Jaguars.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He needs to improve his run blocking consistency, I'm not run blocking.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Pass pro consistency.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Other than that, there's a lot of similarities to Travis E.T.N's game.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He might not have like the same level of explosiveness, but he is an explosive player.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think he's coming into the league with better patience and vision, just kind of feel for the running back position for his own rushing concepts, then Travis ETN did.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I think he's proven to be a really good receiver as well.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And just elusive, creative, big fan of his game.

  [SPEAKER_00]: This would be a pick I'd be on board with.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I still think you could make the same argument at running back this early that you could at safety.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You have two guys, minimum, I mean, if Travis Hesian comes back, you don't need to run him back at all.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But if Travis Hesian hits for agency and the Jaguar's lot of walk, you have Bacial Tutan and Liquan Allen that you drafted last year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Do you need to take another running back this high?

  [SPEAKER_00]: How much of an impact does that make over other spots?

  [SPEAKER_00]: You could potentially address.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Those are the questions I'm asking myself.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And ultimately, you should be taking players in the Jaguar as well.

  [SPEAKER_00]: This regime absolutely will take players that they just believe in.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I've no doubt about that in my mind.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They're not just going to reach for need at a certain position.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They're going to take players they believe in.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I believe in both of the guys they've taken so far here.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And one thing that we don't know as analysts, or fans,

  [SPEAKER_00]: We don't really know like the character as well as we possibly could for some of these guys like last year at this time, I was a huge fan of Damian Martinez.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He slides in the draft and then he's just apparently got a bad attitude towards coaching.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So those are the types of things I didn't know about that.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I liked the player a lot on tape, but

  [SPEAKER_00]: So those are things to keep in mind, but manual making a war in Emmett Johnson definitely upgrade the overall talent on the Jaguars roster.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know that those are the two spots I'd be looking at to potentially try to push this roster forward because I believe in the players that they have at those positions pretty well.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think I would be more excited about Emmett Johnson than McNeil Warren just off the rip just because of what they could impact they could make early.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I really don't want to draft McNeil Warren and put a buffer in between Caleb Ransson and sing the field.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I want to see Caleb Ransal on the field at 88.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Jaguar's go Danny, Dennis Sutton or Denye, Dennis Sutton at a Penn State.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's big, 6365, Big Frame, powerful, great Ed Shetter.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You could kind of sit here and say he's in the mold of the guys, the Jaguar's have a little bit, although I think both Trayvon Walker and Josh Allen are much better athletes.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, otherworldly athletes really.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Dennis Sutton is not that, and that's why he's available at this point in the draft, but he's a big physical edged center.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think he has a good length.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Think he's going to be a really good run defender.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think that he can,

  [SPEAKER_00]: He can win as a pass rusher.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think he's ever going to be this consistent pass rushing force.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He doesn't have the high upside athleticism.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think he has the twitch and the bend.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I don't think he can create enough speed to power to be up like a dominant speed to power rusher.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So just a little bit limited as a pass rusher prospect but a really good run defender.

  [SPEAKER_00]: To me, it doesn't, I don't think he's a bad prospect at this point in the draft.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think the Jaguar could use Edge help.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I would be looking for more of a change-up.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I'd be looking more for someone who can add speed and quickness and the ability to dart into the backfield a little bit more.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Versus kind of like a lesser version of the players you already have, which is what I think you're getting in Danny doing a sudden.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Final pick for the Jaguars here in this three round mock draft, they went will Lee, the third out of Texas A&M.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Cornerback, little over six feet, little under 200 pounds.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's primarily a man-covered corner, unless Anthony Camponele leaves and the Jaguars completely changed their coverage philosophy.

  [SPEAKER_00]: This is not a pick that makes sense.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think he has a great feel for his own coverage, and I don't think that this makes any sense.

  [SPEAKER_00]: That's just kind of, that's the joys of, you know, analyzing these national mock drafts.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think that these people that do mock drafts for every single team, generally speaking, have a good enough pulse for what they're trying to accomplish.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Now, maybe the Jack Wars decide, hey, we need to change up type of type of corner.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Uh, we think if we have willily and Travis Hunter, we can run a lot of man coverage.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't really see that being the plan.

  [SPEAKER_00]: That would surprise me.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, that's where we're at here.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Dennis Sutton at 88, lesser version of what you already have, I would like to change up and will they stay with this current plan on defense just doesn't make much sense.
