- 0:13Speaker 1: Hello you guys, Welcome back to another episode of the
- 0:15Speaker 1: Hawkerel Energy Podcast. I'm your host, Kaylie, and this is
- 0:18Speaker 1: your weekly reminder that it's a new day, a new week,
- 0:21Speaker 1: a new mindset, and another day for you to become
- 0:23Speaker 1: the Hockrel Energy you want to attract. Hello you guys,
- 0:26Speaker 1: Happy Wednesday, Welcome back to another episode. I am very
- 0:31Speaker 1: excited about today's episode because I feel like I haven't
- 0:33Speaker 1: talked about this topic in a very long time. I
- 0:36Speaker 1: have done an episode like this in the past, but
- 0:39Speaker 1: I feel like it's been a long time, and I
- 0:41Speaker 1: feel like there's a lot of things that I've either
- 0:43Speaker 1: recently discovered or things that I'm currently loving that I
- 0:47Speaker 1: wanted to chat with you guys about. Obviously, with going
- 0:50Speaker 1: into Spring, I think that's been like a huge inspiration
- 0:53Speaker 1: for some fashion and just like things that I've been
- 0:57Speaker 1: really deep diving on Pinterest. You guys know that I'm
- 0:59Speaker 1: up with Pinterest and like I literally use that to
- 1:02Speaker 1: plan out my entire life. And I'm currently working on
- 1:06Speaker 1: a Spring vision board. So every season I always try
- 1:09Speaker 1: and like kind of save images and kind of find
- 1:12Speaker 1: ways to inspire myself for a new season. When it
- 1:14Speaker 1: comes to anything and everything home decre you know, clothing pieces,
- 1:19Speaker 1: things that I can either adjust or make into my routine,
- 1:22Speaker 1: like always trying to evolve and find ways to make
- 1:25Speaker 1: myself honestly a better person I feel like, and I
- 1:29Speaker 1: feel like there's always ways to improve, and yeah, that's
- 1:33Speaker 1: just something that I love to do. So I thought
- 1:35Speaker 1: we could do an episode around things I find incredibly chic.
- 1:38Speaker 1: I'm going to break it up into two sections where
- 1:40Speaker 1: it's kind of more a general statement of things that
- 1:43Speaker 1: I find chic and then things that I find chic
- 1:46Speaker 1: specifically for the spring season as well, especially spring fashion.
- 1:49Speaker 1: I feel like that's obviously been a huge conversation that
- 1:52Speaker 1: has been on my TikTok lately, just seeing on my
- 1:55Speaker 1: for you page everyone talk about like spring trends, things
- 1:58Speaker 1: that people are loving, things that I've made a comeback,
- 2:01Speaker 1: and I was like, you know what, I want to
- 2:02Speaker 1: share some things that I'm currently loving that I have
- 2:06Speaker 1: been seeing that I'm just obsessed with that I have
- 2:08Speaker 1: also recently purchased. I've been making a few purchases for
- 2:11Speaker 1: the spring season as well. So here are some general
- 2:14Speaker 1: things that I personally find incredibly chic. And it's kind
- 2:17Speaker 1: of a mix of fashion, it's a mix of home decor.
- 2:21Speaker 1: It's a mix of things that people just do in general, hobbies, routines,
- 2:26Speaker 1: et cetera. Just things that I personally find incredibly chic. Okay,
- 2:30Speaker 1: the first one that I find very chic is girls
- 2:33Speaker 1: collecting things from their mom or their grandma. So anything vintage,
- 2:37Speaker 1: really right, So like vintage jewelry, vintage silverware. So it
- 2:42Speaker 1: could be like just like things from your grandma or
- 2:45Speaker 1: things that your mom have purchased in the past that
- 2:48Speaker 1: are just like very vintage glassware, vintage handbags, like you
- 2:52Speaker 1: name it. Anything that has been purchased a while ago
- 2:55Speaker 1: that they're passing down to you. I think is so
- 2:58Speaker 1: so chic. Specifically jewelry. Jewelry's my favorite thing. Ever when
- 3:03Speaker 1: it's vintage, I feel like whenever I compliment on another
- 3:06Speaker 1: girl and I'm like, oh my god, I love your
- 3:07Speaker 1: watch or oh my god, I love your ring, Like
- 3:10Speaker 1: half the time, it's oh my god, thank you, it's vintage.
- 3:12Speaker 1: I got it from my mom or oh I got
- 3:14Speaker 1: it from my grandma. And I'm like, dang it, I
- 3:15Speaker 1: can't buy it. But I find that so incredibly cool
- 3:19Speaker 1: or chic that like she is able to own that
- 3:21Speaker 1: and have that from a close family member. I recently
- 3:24Speaker 1: actually got a watch from my mom and it's a
- 3:27Speaker 1: Gucci watch that she got for when she got married
- 3:30Speaker 1: with my dad. I guess their wedding gift to each
- 3:32Speaker 1: other was gifting each other watches. So my mom bought
- 3:34Speaker 1: this Gucci watch from the gift store in Bahamas at
- 3:38Speaker 1: the Paradise Co Hotel. I think it's what it's called.
- 3:42Speaker 1: And then my dad got a watch as well, so
- 3:45Speaker 1: she has been letting me borrow it. She didn't exactly
- 3:48Speaker 1: give it to me, but she was like, I'm not
- 3:50Speaker 1: wearing it, you could wear it, which was very nice
- 3:52Speaker 1: of her, and I think eventually she'll just be like,
- 3:54Speaker 1: you can have it. But I'm obsessed with it. I
- 3:56Speaker 1: think it's so so beautiful. It's a very simple gold watch.
- 4:00Speaker 1: But I definitely want to invest in a watch myself eventually.
- 4:04Speaker 1: I think that's another thing that's very chic, is just
- 4:06Speaker 1: owning a very like staple designer watch, like not something
- 4:11Speaker 1: that's very like trendy, something that's very like timeless and classic.
- 4:16Speaker 1: I feel like a statement watch is also something that
- 4:18Speaker 1: I find very incredibly cheap. Vintage anything is really something
- 4:21Speaker 1: that I love. I feel like Etsy is a great
- 4:23Speaker 1: place to find vintage watches or vintage jewelry or eBay
- 4:27Speaker 1: as well as also another great spot to find something
- 4:30Speaker 1: like that. And kind of speaking on the topic of vintage,
- 4:33Speaker 1: I also find girls who can thrift very very chic,
- 4:39Speaker 1: like I feel like that's something I wish I could do.
- 4:41Speaker 1: I wish I could say I'm like a pro thrifter
- 4:43Speaker 1: where I could just go into random stores find really
- 4:47Speaker 1: really cool, just like aesthetic pieces that would like flow
- 4:52Speaker 1: in my house or just would go with my fashion
- 4:55Speaker 1: or my style. And I feel like every time I
- 4:57Speaker 1: go to a vintage store, I find nothing, Like I
- 4:59Speaker 1: try I so hard, and I try to find something
- 5:02Speaker 1: that works for my style, and I can never find
- 5:05Speaker 1: something that works for me. But the girls who can,
- 5:08Speaker 1: or the girls who know the best spots go you
- 5:11Speaker 1: that is incredible. I wish I could be like that.
- 5:13Speaker 1: And maybe it's because I'm not finding the good spots.
- 5:15Speaker 1: I don't know what it is. I do feel like
- 5:16Speaker 1: I have a good eye when it comes to creativity,
- 5:20Speaker 1: but maybe that's something that I could work on when
- 5:22Speaker 1: it comes to finding things that are like vintage and older.
- 5:26Speaker 1: But I do find it very chic when girls know
- 5:28Speaker 1: how to thrift and thrift right. I also love like
- 5:32Speaker 1: going on like the real real or like you know,
- 5:35Speaker 1: vintage designer places that are selling used vintage designer pieces. Again,
- 5:41Speaker 1: that's something that I've dabbled in a little bit, but
- 5:43Speaker 1: I wouldn't say I'm a pro at it. I really
- 5:45Speaker 1: have a hard time finding things that kind of catch
- 5:48Speaker 1: my interest. But the girls who can I really envy.
- 5:51Speaker 1: I'm like, you are so cool, Like I want to
- 5:54Speaker 1: be like that. Another thing I find incredibly chic is
- 5:56Speaker 1: girls who decorate their home with hints of their personalities.
- 6:00Speaker 1: So whether it's bringing in a lot of color or
- 6:02Speaker 1: you know, maybe you're a girl that loves like a
- 6:05Speaker 1: western theme, like you love, you know, being on a
- 6:08Speaker 1: farm or whatever, and you really like bring that into
- 6:11Speaker 1: your home, into the style of your decor. Like I
- 6:14Speaker 1: love that. I think that's so so cool. I also
- 6:17Speaker 1: love again kind of going back to the vintage aspect
- 6:20Speaker 1: of mixing old and new. That's something I'm really trying
- 6:23Speaker 1: to do in my new house. Again, something I struggle with,
- 6:26Speaker 1: but I really think that into your designers are going
- 6:28Speaker 1: to help me kind of understand what is worth spending
- 6:32Speaker 1: when it comes to getting older pieces and what's worth
- 6:36Speaker 1: buying new, but mixing old and new furniture pieces and
- 6:39Speaker 1: a home I think is so beautiful. I think it
- 6:42Speaker 1: looks very very cheek and also just again adding a
- 6:46Speaker 1: lot of color in a house like I love when
- 6:48Speaker 1: I see girls at like such pops of color into
- 6:51Speaker 1: their home decor, whether it's a pop of color in
- 6:54Speaker 1: their rug or pillows or stripe blankets, like finding ways
- 6:57Speaker 1: to really tie in color is so so cool. I
- 7:00Speaker 1: really want to try and make this new home for
- 7:03Speaker 1: us a bit different than what this house is, so
- 7:06Speaker 1: a lot more dark and moody, which is very much
- 7:09Speaker 1: out of my comfort zone and different because I feel
- 7:11Speaker 1: like I've always been very bright and airy, which has
- 7:15Speaker 1: been great, But I think I'm ready for a change
- 7:17Speaker 1: and wanting something different. So I definitely want to try
- 7:21Speaker 1: to add a lot of color in this house. And
- 7:23Speaker 1: I think it will still be neutral ish, just because
- 7:26Speaker 1: I am a neutral person when it comes to colors,
- 7:28Speaker 1: but instead of going white, I want to do more
- 7:30Speaker 1: dark browns and topes, and again, if I can find
- 7:33Speaker 1: ways to add in like hints of red or green, like,
- 7:36Speaker 1: I'm so open to doing that. You know, I think
- 7:39Speaker 1: about like our future kid's nursery, Like I think that's
- 7:42Speaker 1: going to be so fun to decorate, because I think
- 7:44Speaker 1: that's going to be a really you know, eye opening
- 7:47Speaker 1: experience for me to like really dabble into more color
- 7:51Speaker 1: and things that are more fun. And yeah, I really
- 7:54Speaker 1: love when like girls limewash their rooms into like these
- 7:57Speaker 1: really fun colors. I've seen a few, like outer bathrooms
- 8:01Speaker 1: that are like a beautiful pink color, like a salmon
- 8:04Speaker 1: pink color, or like a deep burgundy color. Like I
- 8:08Speaker 1: think those are so cool and again something that like
- 8:11Speaker 1: I would love to find the courage to do so.
- 8:14Speaker 1: But I just love when people add lots of color
- 8:17Speaker 1: into their house. I just find it very very chic.
- 8:20Speaker 1: When it comes to fashion, I really love anything with
- 8:23Speaker 1: a funnel neck. So a funnel neck is basically a turtleneck,
- 8:26Speaker 1: but it's kind of baggyar it's not as tight around
- 8:29Speaker 1: the neck. But most jackets are a funnel neck. I've
- 8:32Speaker 1: seen a lot of tops come out recently that have
- 8:34Speaker 1: a baggy funnel neck, which is so gorgeous. I find
- 8:38Speaker 1: anything with a funnel neck just very cheap. Whenever I
- 8:40Speaker 1: put on my funnel neck, jacket, I feel immediately put together.
- 8:43Speaker 1: I put on a pair of hoops, I put my
- 8:44Speaker 1: hair on in a slick ponytail. Like It's just something
- 8:46Speaker 1: that I find looks very effortlessly cool, if that makes sense.
- 8:49Speaker 1: Like just throwing on that type of jacket or shirt
- 8:53Speaker 1: just makes me feel very much put together. So I
- 8:55Speaker 1: feel like that's probably one of my favorite fashion pieces
- 8:58Speaker 1: right now. Is anything with a funnel neck. Another fashion
- 9:02Speaker 1: statement that I've been loving recently. That's been a huge
- 9:05Speaker 1: thing right now. I feel like everyone's been talking about it.
- 9:07Speaker 1: Is anything with fringe. Like I remember when I worked
- 9:11Speaker 1: at Michael Cores years ago, I want to say, probably
- 9:16Speaker 1: twenty sixteen or twenty seventeen. I was a sales associate
- 9:20Speaker 1: at Michael Core's and I remember fringe being so popular
- 9:26Speaker 1: and everything was fringe, like fringe handbags, fringe jackets, fringe boots.
- 9:31Speaker 1: I remember I bought my first Michael Cors purchase, which
- 9:34Speaker 1: was a pair of fringe boots. They were like two
- 9:36Speaker 1: hundred and fifty dollars. Again, I was like eighteen. Finding
- 9:40Speaker 1: a way to have for two hundred and fifty dollars
- 9:41Speaker 1: boots is ridiculous, but I wanted them so badly, and
- 9:45Speaker 1: I you know, I saved all my money I bought it,
- 9:48Speaker 1: and I just remember they were my favorite boots ever,
- 9:51Speaker 1: Like I literally wore them all the time. I think
- 9:54Speaker 1: I honestly still have them at my parents' place. I
- 9:56Speaker 1: wonder if I could find them, but I wore them
- 9:58Speaker 1: to school, like they were just like my signature boot,
- 10:02Speaker 1: Like it was just something that I constantly wore. And
- 10:06Speaker 1: I love that fringe is back because I think I'm
- 10:08Speaker 1: becoming obsessed with it again now that it's making a
- 10:10Speaker 1: huge comeback, like seeing everybody wear fringe jackets, fringe dresses,
- 10:15Speaker 1: you know, fringe tops, Like I just think it's so
- 10:19Speaker 1: so cool and I just find it very very kind
- 10:22Speaker 1: of like Western in a way as well, but in
- 10:25Speaker 1: a really chic way. Okay, this is kind of a hobby,
- 10:29Speaker 1: I would say, but I love the girls who know
- 10:32Speaker 1: how to make sourdough bread. And to be honest, I've
- 10:34Speaker 1: actually been kind of thinking about doing this and something
- 10:37Speaker 1: that I've been wanting to start. I think for me,
- 10:39Speaker 1: the only issue is figuring out the starter. I have
- 10:43Speaker 1: a few girlfriends who actually do it, and they were like,
- 10:45Speaker 1: I will straight up just give you my starter and
- 10:48Speaker 1: you can just like start off with that and then
- 10:50Speaker 1: eventually get to the part where I can create my
- 10:52Speaker 1: own starter and not have to stress about it because
- 10:55Speaker 1: I feel like the starter apparently is the most difficult
- 10:58Speaker 1: part of the sour dough. I don't know, It's just
- 11:00Speaker 1: something I find very cool, and I'm obsessed with eating
- 11:02Speaker 1: sour dough bread. Like I buy a loaf every single
- 11:04Speaker 1: week at the grocery store, and I'm like, why am
- 11:07Speaker 1: I not making this at home? Like I could easily
- 11:09Speaker 1: make this if I actually put the time and effort
- 11:11Speaker 1: in doing so. So that is something that I'm hoping
- 11:14Speaker 1: to do and maybe I'll film the journey trying to
- 11:17Speaker 1: figure out how to do it. I'm not a big
- 11:19Speaker 1: baker obviously, but like it's things that I like aspire
- 11:22Speaker 1: to do, and I feel like you have to do
- 11:24Speaker 1: things out of your comfort zone and try new things,
- 11:26Speaker 1: and it makes things exciting when you do it, and
- 11:29Speaker 1: then you know if you do actually achieve it, it
- 11:31Speaker 1: feels so good to achieve a goal like that. So
- 11:34Speaker 1: you guys heard it here first. I do find it
- 11:36Speaker 1: very very cool when I see girls know how to
- 11:39Speaker 1: make it, and especially like when you're at a party
- 11:41Speaker 1: and like a girl brings like fresh sour dough and
- 11:43Speaker 1: she's like, oh, yeah, I made this. I'm like, that's
- 11:45Speaker 1: freakin sick. Like I want to be that girl, Like
- 11:48Speaker 1: I want to be able to do that. Also, just
- 11:50Speaker 1: taking a brief pause right now because we just got
- 11:52Speaker 1: hit with an ice storm and Zach actually didn't go
- 11:56Speaker 1: to work today because yeah, apparently this ice storm is
- 11:59Speaker 1: going to be huge. And I just looked out my
- 12:01Speaker 1: window while recording this episode and literally the windows were
- 12:04Speaker 1: fine not even ten minutes ago, and now the windows
- 12:07Speaker 1: are complete ice. This is wild. Anyways, back to this episode.
- 12:13Speaker 1: The next thing I find incredibly chic is anything monogram
- 12:17Speaker 1: so anything with like a personalized touch. So whether it's
- 12:20Speaker 1: your initials on a tote bag or a towel, toiletry bags.
- 12:26Speaker 1: I freaking love when your name is on a toiletry
- 12:29Speaker 1: bag or your initials. I think that's so so chic.
- 12:32Speaker 1: There's a brand called I want to say a Dobe
- 12:36Speaker 1: and they do like beautiful crocodile leather toiletry bags and
- 12:40Speaker 1: you can put whatever you want. You could literally make
- 12:42Speaker 1: it super personalized, and I think it's just so cool,
- 12:46Speaker 1: so love that you could also do like a jewelry
- 12:49Speaker 1: travel pouch situation. So when you're traveling you need to
- 12:51Speaker 1: travel with your jewelry, you could have like a monogram
- 12:54Speaker 1: travel pouch or a laptop case. Having that monogramed, I
- 12:58Speaker 1: think is very cool. So anything with my initials on it,
- 13:01Speaker 1: I feel like it's something that I'll have for a
- 13:02Speaker 1: very long time and not something that really goes out
- 13:06Speaker 1: of style. I just feel like it's something that I'm
- 13:07Speaker 1: going to want to keep forever. And yeah, I just
- 13:11Speaker 1: like love investing in those kind of things. Another thing
- 13:14Speaker 1: I find very chic is girls who love to lounge
- 13:18Speaker 1: in robes. I literally wear a robe morning and night.
- 13:21Speaker 1: I will wear my robe for like two hours in
- 13:23Speaker 1: the morning if I have the luxury to do so.
- 13:24Speaker 1: I mean, every day is different for me. But you know,
- 13:26Speaker 1: sometimes I'll take a shower, I'll put on my robe,
- 13:28Speaker 1: I'll make my coffee, I'll come up here, I'll answer
- 13:30Speaker 1: some emails, you know, do stuff for the podcast, whatever,
- 13:33Speaker 1: and then I'll get changed for the day and call
- 13:35Speaker 1: it a day. But I just find being in a
- 13:37Speaker 1: robe is so comfortable. I feel very put together, and
- 13:42Speaker 1: I don't know, it's just something that I feel like
- 13:43Speaker 1: is never going to go away. Also a good pair
- 13:46Speaker 1: of slippers. I did get a good pair from. I
- 13:50Speaker 1: think it's the brand Jenny Kine, and they're so comfortable.
- 13:54Speaker 1: Wear them all the time with my robe. Again, just
- 13:56Speaker 1: like staples that I love to wear in my home
- 13:59Speaker 1: that make me feel put together, especially because I feel
- 14:01Speaker 1: like you could get really lazy and just kind of
- 14:03Speaker 1: throw on whatever and you kind of feel almost gross
- 14:06Speaker 1: in a way, if that makes sense. But I feel
- 14:07Speaker 1: like when I'm in a robe and I'm wearing my slippers,
- 14:10Speaker 1: I just feel girly and I feel like it's just
- 14:13Speaker 1: like a comfortable way of feeling put together and not
- 14:16Speaker 1: looking messy, if that makes sense. So literally, robes are
- 14:21Speaker 1: life changing, and I feel like it's one of my
- 14:22Speaker 1: favorite things reading educational or self help books. If I
- 14:27Speaker 1: see a girl like at the park reading a book
- 14:29Speaker 1: and it's in regards to something educational, whether it's like
- 14:33Speaker 1: something she's working on herself, or something that she's working towards,
- 14:37Speaker 1: like could be related to something to work, it could
- 14:39Speaker 1: be a personal thing, whatever the case may be, I
- 14:41Speaker 1: think that's incredible And I think that just like shows
- 14:44Speaker 1: a lot of strength to be able to like read
- 14:49Speaker 1: something like that in a public setting and not feel
- 14:51Speaker 1: like ashamed of it. Like I think it shows that
- 14:53Speaker 1: she has so much power and she's like really trying
- 14:55Speaker 1: to work on herself, and I don't know, I just
- 14:58Speaker 1: think that's super cool. Same thing with listening to podcasts,
- 15:01Speaker 1: like any educational podcast. I think you're trying to work
- 15:03Speaker 1: on yourself. I think that shows a lot and something
- 15:06Speaker 1: that a lot of people won't own up to. And
- 15:08Speaker 1: I think owning up to it and like speaking about
- 15:11Speaker 1: how you're working towards something for yourself I think is
- 15:15Speaker 1: very very chic and something to be really proud of. Also,
- 15:18Speaker 1: just like reading in public situations, Like I love when
- 15:21Speaker 1: I see a girl reading at a coffee shop. Again,
- 15:24Speaker 1: usually I kind of picture the girl with like the
- 15:26Speaker 1: wired headphones, with a really cool outfit on. She's got
- 15:30Speaker 1: her book, she's got her glasses on, she's in the
- 15:32Speaker 1: corner sipping a coffee with a croissant. Like that vibe
- 15:35Speaker 1: to me, I'm like, Oh, you're cool, Like you have
- 15:37Speaker 1: your shit together, you look incredibly chic. Like I feel
- 15:40Speaker 1: like that type of ambiance and setting is so cool.
- 15:43Speaker 1: So a girl that can just like bring her book anywhere,
- 15:46Speaker 1: read anywhere she wants I think that's amazing. I'm a
- 15:49Speaker 1: vacation reader, Like I wouldn't exactly say I'm a casual reader.
- 15:52Speaker 1: I would love to be better at that, and it's
- 15:54Speaker 1: that's something that I definitely think I could improve on.
- 15:56Speaker 1: Is really just trying to find ways to whip out
- 15:59Speaker 1: my book in certain settings in my home, whether it's
- 16:02Speaker 1: before bed or in the morning. I have been reading
- 16:05Speaker 1: my fertility book on my treadmill in the mornings, which
- 16:09Speaker 1: has been great, but I had to kind of step
- 16:11Speaker 1: away from reading on my treadmill a little bit, Like
- 16:13Speaker 1: I'm only able to read for like twenty minutes right
- 16:15Speaker 1: now while I'm on there because of my back injury.
- 16:19Speaker 1: My physio said that she doesn't want my neck down,
- 16:23Speaker 1: which obviously is an issue when you're reading you need
- 16:25Speaker 1: to look down. It's kind of hard to like hold
- 16:27Speaker 1: it up eye level with my back injury. It's just
- 16:30Speaker 1: like part of my neck as well, if that makes sense.
- 16:32Speaker 1: So I need to keep my eyes up. So I've
- 16:34Speaker 1: been watching like YouTube videos or podcasts videos on my
- 16:39Speaker 1: TV just to kind of keep my head upright for
- 16:41Speaker 1: a bit until this injury kind of figures itself out.
- 16:44Speaker 1: But I have seen people use like kindle stands where
- 16:47Speaker 1: it's like either attached toer night stand or like a
- 16:51Speaker 1: tripod that you can literally stand up so you can
- 16:53Speaker 1: see it at eye level. So I don't know if
- 16:55Speaker 1: I'll go through that extreme for that, but I do
- 16:58Speaker 1: love reading and walking on the treadmill. I do find
- 16:59Speaker 1: that very therapeutic. It's something that I've done a really
- 17:02Speaker 1: good job at this year for trying to like casually read,
- 17:06Speaker 1: but never brought my book in a public setting because
- 17:09Speaker 1: I feel like when I'm in a public setting, I'm
- 17:10Speaker 1: usually with my friends, and like I want to enjoy
- 17:13Speaker 1: social time. And maybe that's because I spend so much
- 17:15Speaker 1: time alone here at the house because I work for myself.
- 17:18Speaker 1: That like when I go to a coffee shop, I
- 17:20Speaker 1: want my social fix, you know what I mean, Like
- 17:22Speaker 1: I don't want my solo time. Where's a girl that
- 17:25Speaker 1: might work in a social setting that goes to a
- 17:27Speaker 1: coffee shop by herself and she wants to read, Like
- 17:30Speaker 1: I appreciate that, Like you want your solo time, you
- 17:32Speaker 1: want your quiet time. Totally makes sense. So I think
- 17:35Speaker 1: it just kind of depends on your situation. But I
- 17:38Speaker 1: do think reading in coffee shops or public settings very
- 17:41Speaker 1: very chic, a nice hair brush, or like a haircare routine,
- 17:44Speaker 1: you know what. You can just tell when a girl
- 17:46Speaker 1: has taken care of her hair. Like I will compliment
- 17:49Speaker 1: someone straight off the bat if I notice that their
- 17:52Speaker 1: hair is shiny as hell or like just like the
- 17:54Speaker 1: perfect haircut on the girl. I will literally straight up
- 17:57Speaker 1: tell them like, you have the nicest hair I've ever seen.
- 17:59Speaker 1: Like I love implementing girls. I think that's so important
- 18:02Speaker 1: to do. And I remember one time I complimented this
- 18:06Speaker 1: girl like we weren't even friends. We were just like
- 18:09Speaker 1: you know, at the corner of like a sidewalk and
- 18:13Speaker 1: street lights, and this girl had gorgeous, shiny hair. And
- 18:17Speaker 1: I remember like I literally was like, oh sorry, I
- 18:19Speaker 1: just want to let you know, like what's your haircare routine?
- 18:22Speaker 1: I'm like, your hair is insane, like literally one of
- 18:24Speaker 1: the nicest hairs I've ever seen. And she was like
- 18:26Speaker 1: so shocked, and she was so appreciative and she was
- 18:28Speaker 1: just like, oh, like kind of like randomly saying random
- 18:30Speaker 1: hair products and anyways, I was like that is incredible.
- 18:34Speaker 1: Like I don't know, I just love when a girl
- 18:35Speaker 1: takes care of her hair or just takes care of themselves.
- 18:38Speaker 1: In general, I think we can all agree that taking
- 18:40Speaker 1: care of yourself is so y girls who have skincare routines,
- 18:43Speaker 1: hair care routines, has a good workout routine, Like of
- 18:46Speaker 1: course we all aspire to do that, but actually making
- 18:49Speaker 1: the effort of like taking care of yourself, I think
- 18:51Speaker 1: is so important and really shows when you do take
- 18:55Speaker 1: care of yourself and how good you feel, and almost
- 18:57Speaker 1: like that glow that you have really just kind of
- 19:00Speaker 1: like shines through and you can see it. And I
- 19:04Speaker 1: think that's kind of like why you get compliments out
- 19:06Speaker 1: of it, because you know you feel good that you're
- 19:09Speaker 1: actually making the effort in yourself and now people are
- 19:11Speaker 1: starting to notice that, and it makes you feel good
- 19:13Speaker 1: investing in yourself in that type of way. Layering jewelry
- 19:17Speaker 1: I have been in my jewelry era. This was something
- 19:19Speaker 1: that I really wanted to focus on last year, and
- 19:22Speaker 1: I splurged on a lot of good jewelry pieces that
- 19:24Speaker 1: I'm very happy that I did. And I wear my
- 19:27Speaker 1: jewelry NonStop, like same bracelets, same necklaces, same rings, Like
- 19:31Speaker 1: I constantly wear them all the time. And I think
- 19:34Speaker 1: this is something that takes a long time to build
- 19:36Speaker 1: It's a collection that takes years upon years to either
- 19:40Speaker 1: invest in or built on. It's not something that you
- 19:42Speaker 1: can kind of just build on overnight. I bought Amazon
- 19:46Speaker 1: rings for years, okay, and there's still nothing wrong with
- 19:48Speaker 1: my Amazon rings. The quality is incredible with some of
- 19:51Speaker 1: these Amazon brands. But the point is is that I
- 19:53Speaker 1: wanted to make my way up to purchasing designer rings
- 19:57Speaker 1: for myself because, you know, ever since I got engage,
- 20:00Speaker 1: I was kind of like, you know, I just like
- 20:02Speaker 1: want nice jewelry that kind of reflects the diamond in
- 20:06Speaker 1: a nice way. I don't know if that makes sense,
- 20:08Speaker 1: but I just like I wanted to have a nice
- 20:10Speaker 1: stack on my hands and my bracelets because I'm like,
- 20:13Speaker 1: now that I have a really nice piece of jewelry
- 20:16Speaker 1: on my finger aka my engagement ring, I just felt
- 20:18Speaker 1: like I wanted everything else to kind of flow, and
- 20:21Speaker 1: so I invested in some jewelry pieces for myself, and
- 20:24Speaker 1: I'm so happy I did so, because I do think
- 20:26Speaker 1: it's things that are very timeless, things that are never
- 20:28Speaker 1: going to go to style. It's things that I've been
- 20:30Speaker 1: looking at for years upon years that I keep telling myself, oh,
- 20:34Speaker 1: I'll eventually buy this for myself, or it's too expensive.
- 20:37Speaker 1: I always came up with the reason and I was like,
- 20:38Speaker 1: you know what, I'm going to save as much money
- 20:40Speaker 1: as I can and just do it. And yeah, it's
- 20:43Speaker 1: just something that I very much recommend doing over time,
- 20:46Speaker 1: just like make it a goal for yourself because I
- 20:48Speaker 1: think you're gonna wear these jewelry pieces for a very
- 20:50Speaker 1: long time. And also just like layering jewelry pieces I
- 20:54Speaker 1: think is very nice, like layering your rings, layering your bracelets.
- 20:57Speaker 1: I also love when I see a girl with like
- 21:00Speaker 1: more than one ear pierce, so like when she has
- 21:02Speaker 1: like three ears stacked up with different earrings. I think
- 21:05Speaker 1: that's really cool. And I find again just kind of
- 21:08Speaker 1: shows a bit of a stylish way of like layering
- 21:11Speaker 1: your jewelry in a different way, if that makes sense.
- 21:13Speaker 1: So I love layering jewelry. Another thing I love was
- 21:17Speaker 1: when I see a girl who can diy. I mean
- 21:19Speaker 1: a girl who you know has a drill, who knows
- 21:22Speaker 1: how to hammer things, who knows how to cut things,
- 21:25Speaker 1: and you know she'll be doing you know, house projects
- 21:28Speaker 1: all by yourself without her husband's help. And I'm like, girl,
- 21:30Speaker 1: good for you, Like how did you do that right, Like,
- 21:33Speaker 1: I would love to be like that. I think that's
- 21:35Speaker 1: super cool something that I would like to build the
- 21:38Speaker 1: courage of doing so. I recently just built my first
- 21:42Speaker 1: like furniture piece. Usually I'll just wait for Zac to
- 21:44Speaker 1: get home and I'll be like, okay, yeah, like you
- 21:46Speaker 1: do it like my husband's in construction, and I just
- 21:48Speaker 1: feel like, naturally, I'm like, you're the handy guy in
- 21:50Speaker 1: the relationship. You just do it. Anyways, i decide to
- 21:53Speaker 1: build my standing desk and I'm like, you know what,
- 21:54Speaker 1: this might require a drill. It might not, we're about
- 21:57Speaker 1: to find out, but I feel like I can do
- 21:58Speaker 1: it myself. I was not waiting for him anyways. Do
- 22:01Speaker 1: it realize that I needed a drill. I FaceTime my
- 22:04Speaker 1: husband to get a like tutorial on how to use
- 22:06Speaker 1: his drill because it's not my drill. I didn't want
- 22:08Speaker 1: to break it. He gives me like a two minute
- 22:10Speaker 1: tutorial and I'm like, okay, amazing. Did it. It was
- 22:13Speaker 1: super easy. It was not difficult. Did I have anxiety
- 22:15Speaker 1: doing it? Absolutely, But I've kind of conquered something that
- 22:18Speaker 1: I wanted to do for myself, and the desk is perfect.
- 22:22Speaker 1: I didn't break it. I thought maybe I would, but
- 22:25Speaker 1: it just goes to show that you can really do
- 22:27Speaker 1: anything if you set your mind to it. But I
- 22:29Speaker 1: love seeing the girls that can diy. That is something
- 22:32Speaker 1: I aspire to do. Another thing I love is when
- 22:34Speaker 1: I see a girl who always like walks around with
- 22:36Speaker 1: an agenda or a planner. I always have an agenda
- 22:39Speaker 1: and planner with me, but I don't ever again walk
- 22:42Speaker 1: around with it or have it on me. But if
- 22:44Speaker 1: you're the kind of girl that works a corporate job
- 22:45Speaker 1: and like likes to bring her planner or anything like that
- 22:48Speaker 1: out and about, I love that. I think that's incredible.
- 22:51Speaker 1: I think the only time I may have actually brought
- 22:53Speaker 1: my planner out maybe is when I've worked from a
- 22:54Speaker 1: coffee shop, like early in the morning with my sister,
- 22:57Speaker 1: But I don't know. I do find it's very chic
- 22:59Speaker 1: when I see a girl kind of like having an
- 23:01Speaker 1: assortment of things that just kind of like look very
- 23:05Speaker 1: put together and cool. I also love when a girl
- 23:08Speaker 1: can pull off the no makeup makeup look, when you
- 23:10Speaker 1: can just tell she has like a very natural glow,
- 23:13Speaker 1: but you can tell that she didn't like put that
- 23:15Speaker 1: much effort into it, if that makes sense. Like she
- 23:18Speaker 1: looks effortlessly beautiful. I just find the no makeup makeup
- 23:22Speaker 1: look so chic, like no mascara and no foundation strictly
- 23:26Speaker 1: just like minimal blush, minimal bronzer, lipliner. Maybe she's curled
- 23:32Speaker 1: her eyelashes with an eyelash curler, brushed her eyebrows, and
- 23:36Speaker 1: that's it. I think, just looks so clean girl and
- 23:40Speaker 1: something that I aspire to rock myself. I mean, I
- 23:43Speaker 1: do a no makeup makeup look all the time, but
- 23:45Speaker 1: would I say that I rock it every single time?
- 23:47Speaker 1: Probably not. Maybe when I have a tan, I feel
- 23:50Speaker 1: a bit better about myself. But now I do find
- 23:53Speaker 1: the no makeup makeup look so nice. I feel like
- 23:56Speaker 1: less makeup is way better than more, and to be honest,
- 24:00Speaker 1: so funny that I like don't like wearing a lot
- 24:03Speaker 1: of makeup on me personally, Like I feel like when
- 24:05Speaker 1: I overdo it or when I pay for a makeup
- 24:07Speaker 1: artist to do my makeup, I actually don't ever really
- 24:10Speaker 1: love it. Like I look back at photos from not
- 24:13Speaker 1: my wedding day, but my rehearsal dinner, and I feel
- 24:16Speaker 1: like that was like the first time where I'm like,
- 24:17Speaker 1: oh yeah, let's just kind of like go a little
- 24:20Speaker 1: like crazy, let's just do a little bit more than usual.
- 24:23Speaker 1: And I look back and I'm like, it looked great
- 24:25Speaker 1: in photos. Okay, don't get me wrong. It looks great
- 24:27Speaker 1: in photos and you couldn't really tell. But when I
- 24:29Speaker 1: look at videos, I'm like, why did I do that
- 24:31Speaker 1: much makeup? Like it just like doesn't suit my face personally,
- 24:34Speaker 1: Like I feel like there's some girls that can really
- 24:36Speaker 1: rock a lot of makeup, but I feel like I
- 24:39Speaker 1: look better with less makeup in my opinion, which I
- 24:42Speaker 1: don't think is a bad thing. And I liked my
- 24:45Speaker 1: makeup on my wedding day, don't get me wrong about that.
- 24:47Speaker 1: Like that ended up working out fine and it looked
- 24:49Speaker 1: great in the videos. But I don't know why I
- 24:50Speaker 1: went so crazy indifferent from my rehearsal dinner. But anyways,
- 24:54Speaker 1: I just like thinking about like my birthday, for example,
- 24:57Speaker 1: Like I'm turning thirty in a few weeks, and I'm like,
- 25:01Speaker 1: I don't think I want to hire a makeup artist
- 25:03Speaker 1: because for me, I'm like, I just never always love
- 25:07Speaker 1: what the makeup artist does, and it's nothing against her,
- 25:09Speaker 1: it's more so like I just don't like it on
- 25:11Speaker 1: my face. I think I just I'm used to more
- 25:13Speaker 1: of a natural glam and I don't know. I think
- 25:17Speaker 1: that is okay to feel that way, and I think
- 25:19Speaker 1: it's okay to think that looks better. But yeah, I
- 25:22Speaker 1: don't know. I just prefer the no makeup makeup look
- 25:25Speaker 1: in my opinion. Another thing I find very chic is
- 25:28Speaker 1: hand tattoos. I've always kind of gone back and forth
- 25:31Speaker 1: of doing this for myself. I don't know. I feel like, like, small,
- 25:35Speaker 1: dainty tattoos are so freaking cool to me that every
- 25:39Speaker 1: time I think about having something really permanent on my body,
- 25:42Speaker 1: it kind of gives me anxiety around that, Like I'm like,
- 25:44Speaker 1: would I want O Kay on my hand for the
- 25:48Speaker 1: rest of my life? I don't know. I thought about
- 25:51Speaker 1: doing a hand tattoo with Zach on our wedding band fingers,
- 25:55Speaker 1: whether it be like our anniversary date or our initial
- 26:00Speaker 1: or the last name that we're both going to share
- 26:03Speaker 1: very soon. I don't know, Like I'm just kind of
- 26:05Speaker 1: like I would love to do something, but like, at
- 26:09Speaker 1: the same time, I'm like, now, I also hear that
- 26:11Speaker 1: hand tattoos do wear faster, so it's something that you're
- 26:14Speaker 1: either gonna have to touch up, or it will kind
- 26:15Speaker 1: of like go away because it's an area where you're
- 26:17Speaker 1: constantly watching your hands, and you know, it's just an
- 26:20Speaker 1: area that I hear doesn't really last. But like I'm like,
- 26:23Speaker 1: I'm kind of okay with that because like I might
- 26:26Speaker 1: change my mind, you know, when I'm seventy years old
- 26:28Speaker 1: and I have grandma hands and then I got these
- 26:30Speaker 1: tattoos on my hands, Like that's what I think about.
- 26:33Speaker 1: I think about me years from now and be like,
- 26:35Speaker 1: why did you put tattoos on your hands? But like
- 26:37Speaker 1: you only live once, so anyways, I find hand tattoos
- 26:40Speaker 1: very cool. But at the same time, I'm like always
- 26:42Speaker 1: back and forth if I want to do it or not.
- 26:45Speaker 1: But I do find dainty tattoos that are very like small,
- 26:48Speaker 1: like with the cursive writing kind of like very faded,
- 26:51Speaker 1: just like really really chic. And then the last one,
- 26:53Speaker 1: when it comes to like this general topic of things
- 26:55Speaker 1: that I find chic is girls who know their colors,
- 26:59Speaker 1: meaning that they've done a color analysis. You can just
- 27:01Speaker 1: tell that they know the right colors for their skin
- 27:04Speaker 1: type or just themselves in general. I did a color
- 27:08Speaker 1: analysis a long time ago, I want to say, like
- 27:11Speaker 1: three years ago. Two and a half years ago, and
- 27:14Speaker 1: I think the main colors were yellow, blue, brown, and black,
- 27:19Speaker 1: Like those were like my colors. I've always tried to
- 27:21Speaker 1: like stick around those colors. But I also feel like
- 27:24Speaker 1: blue and yellow, I feel like it's very seasonal. It's
- 27:26Speaker 1: not really something that you could really like wear all
- 27:28Speaker 1: the time. But I mean black and brown obviously that's
- 27:32Speaker 1: a staple which we love. I can't remember if white
- 27:35Speaker 1: looks good on me or not. I mean I still
- 27:36Speaker 1: wear white. I only wear white usually during the summer
- 27:39Speaker 1: when I have a tan, because I feel like that
- 27:40Speaker 1: obviously looks incredible. But right now, oh my goodness, white
- 27:44Speaker 1: is not my color because I feel like my skin
- 27:47Speaker 1: is just like not looking good with it right now.
- 27:51Speaker 1: But girls that just like know their colors, I think
- 27:54Speaker 1: is very cool, and I think that like shows a
- 27:56Speaker 1: lot in their style as well. You can just tell
- 27:58Speaker 1: that that, like they know how to dry themselves and
- 28:00Speaker 1: they know their colors and how to make themselves just
- 28:03Speaker 1: like look good. So I feel like that's a really
- 28:06Speaker 1: cool in chic thing. So if anyone's never done a
- 28:09Speaker 1: color analysis, I highly recommend you do it. I forget
- 28:11Speaker 1: what season I was, like, I know, like when you
- 28:13Speaker 1: go to a color analysis, they usually say like, oh,
- 28:15Speaker 1: you're more of like an autumn or whatever the case
- 28:17Speaker 1: may be. I can't remember what my season was, but anyways,
- 28:21Speaker 1: highly recommend going to see a color analysis if you want,
- 28:25Speaker 1: you know, some assistance also in your purchasing patterns, because
- 28:28Speaker 1: that obviously can make a huge difference when you're looking
- 28:30Speaker 1: for specific colors when you're you know, upgrading your wardrobe. Okay,
- 28:33Speaker 1: now let's go into things that I find chic for
- 28:35Speaker 1: the spring. I have about fifteen things here that are
- 28:38Speaker 1: more like spring specific, but again still kind of general,
- 28:42Speaker 1: but in the spring specifically, I find yellow or baby
- 28:46Speaker 1: pink nails. I was debating on doing this for my
- 28:48Speaker 1: most recent nail appointment, and then I just chickened out.
- 28:51Speaker 1: I don't know why. I was like, eh, maybe not.
- 28:52Speaker 1: I've done yellow nails a few times, but I love
- 28:56Speaker 1: when I see like other girls do it. I think
- 28:57Speaker 1: it's so so cool. I all, I so love square
- 29:01Speaker 1: French nails, which you guys have heard me talk about
- 29:03Speaker 1: this multiple times, but recently I've seen a trend where
- 29:07Speaker 1: it's soft pink French nails, meaning instead of a white tip,
- 29:11Speaker 1: you do a pink tip. But it's almost like so
- 29:14Speaker 1: natural where it just like looks like a natural French,
- 29:17Speaker 1: if that makes sense. I've been debating on trying this
- 29:19Speaker 1: out for my birthday, but I'm also like, I might
- 29:23Speaker 1: be basic, just do a white French, because I always
- 29:26Speaker 1: I don't like to do risky things before an event.
- 29:28Speaker 1: I always like go basic, be simple, don't do something
- 29:31Speaker 1: out of the box. But I really love the soft
- 29:34Speaker 1: pink French trend. I think it's really really nice again,
- 29:37Speaker 1: something that could be really nice for spring. I also
- 29:40Speaker 1: love anything with a trench coat, Like trench coat on
- 29:43Speaker 1: any outfit in the spring, I find looks so chic,
- 29:46Speaker 1: Like imagine like a trench coat with white short sleeve
- 29:50Speaker 1: and a pair of denim jeans Like that, to me
- 29:52Speaker 1: is like the perfect spring outfit. I could wear that
- 29:53Speaker 1: every single day and be happy. You know, It's just
- 29:56Speaker 1: like a staple outfit I feel like in the spring season,
- 29:59Speaker 1: so trench coat and jeans combo. That's kind of like
- 30:02Speaker 1: my perfect spring outfit. Or even like a windbreaker jacket,
- 30:06Speaker 1: like I love the splashy sports jackets around this time
- 30:11Speaker 1: of the year. Kind of like a raincoat situation or
- 30:14Speaker 1: a good pair of rain boots obviously, is like really
- 30:16Speaker 1: really nice. I love when I see girls with like
- 30:18Speaker 1: the Chanel rain boots. I would never ever spend Like
- 30:22Speaker 1: I don't even know how much they are. I'm going
- 30:23Speaker 1: to say twenty five hundred dollars probably. I would never
- 30:25Speaker 1: spend that kind of money on rainboots. But I love
- 30:27Speaker 1: my Hunter boots that I got for the fall season,
- 30:30Speaker 1: and I've been wearing them actually a ton. I love
- 30:33Speaker 1: the green color too. I find the green is just
- 30:35Speaker 1: like such a nice way to make it pop a
- 30:37Speaker 1: little bit. So I love wearing those with like, you know,
- 30:40Speaker 1: denim jeans or my Lululemon leggings, and I'll just like
- 30:44Speaker 1: wear that with like a black long sleeve or tank
- 30:47Speaker 1: top with my trench coat. I think that's a really
- 30:49Speaker 1: nice outfit to wear it during the spring season, and
- 30:51Speaker 1: I feel like the green is neutral enough where it
- 30:54Speaker 1: kind of goes with most of my outfits. Another thing
- 30:56Speaker 1: is also just having like a basic outfit white top
- 30:59Speaker 1: with jeans or black top with jeans, very simple, very basic,
- 31:03Speaker 1: but I just love that combo. Recently, I have been
- 31:06Speaker 1: really into quarter sleeve tops, so it's not a long sleeve,
- 31:10Speaker 1: it's not a short sleeve. It kind of goes to
- 31:12Speaker 1: the elbows, and I think everyone's been kind of talking
- 31:15Speaker 1: about the Carolyn is it Carolyn Bissett? Is that what
- 31:18Speaker 1: it is? The whole Love Story TV show about John F. Kennedy.
- 31:23Speaker 1: I haven't watched it yet. That's something that I really
- 31:25Speaker 1: want to watch, was Zach. We're just trying to finish
- 31:27Speaker 1: off Pretty Little Liars, so once we finished that, we're
- 31:30Speaker 1: gonna start it. But everyone's been talking about her style
- 31:33Speaker 1: and I feel like that's like something that people are
- 31:35Speaker 1: really basing their spring fashion off of. Just again, very basic,
- 31:39Speaker 1: very simple, and the quarter long sleeves are like really
- 31:43Speaker 1: really in right now. I've seen a lot of people
- 31:45Speaker 1: and a lot of brands talk about this trend, and
- 31:49Speaker 1: I'm loving it. I think it's so cute and I
- 31:51Speaker 1: think it's a great way to kind of add to
- 31:53Speaker 1: your closet. So I don't have any quarter sleevetops, but
- 31:57Speaker 1: I'm all for it. I love getting a basic top
- 31:59Speaker 1: because I feel like I can go with any jacket,
- 32:01Speaker 1: any outfit, and it's easy just to kind of throw
- 32:03Speaker 1: on throughout the day. I also love any kind of
- 32:06Speaker 1: fun color for pajamas, especially during the spring season. Anything
- 32:10Speaker 1: like pink, blue, green. I really love stripes around this
- 32:14Speaker 1: time of the year, so stripe pjs are super cute anyways.
- 32:18Speaker 1: I mean, stripe pjs could really be worn all season long,
- 32:21Speaker 1: but I just love trying to match the colors to
- 32:24Speaker 1: the season. So obviously, with it being spring, a lot
- 32:27Speaker 1: of like baby yellow, baby pink, baby blue. Like I
- 32:30Speaker 1: just love those fun pastel colors, and I think it's
- 32:34Speaker 1: something that's really nice to kind of throw into your
- 32:37Speaker 1: day to day attire, and that's a great way of
- 32:39Speaker 1: doing so through your pajamas. Not to mention also matching
- 32:43Speaker 1: pajamas obviously feels really chic and very put together as well,
- 32:46Speaker 1: so something that I also strive to do. I used
- 32:48Speaker 1: to wear, like, you know, random gym shirts and gym
- 32:52Speaker 1: shorts to Ben, and I always felt like gross and weird.
- 32:55Speaker 1: And then I realize, like, oh yeah, like a matching
- 32:57Speaker 1: PJ said does actually make you feel better and you
- 32:59Speaker 1: do actually feel more put together when you wear it.
- 33:01Speaker 1: So I've invested in pj's moving forward and it's been
- 33:06Speaker 1: life changing. I also love silk pants, like a pair
- 33:10Speaker 1: of black silk pants or a pair of white silk pants,
- 33:12Speaker 1: especially during around this time of the year, like spring
- 33:15Speaker 1: and summer. I just love anything loose and baggy fitting,
- 33:19Speaker 1: specially pants like a low rise silk pant. You'll be
- 33:23Speaker 1: seeing me wearing that literally all summer long. I'm not
- 33:25Speaker 1: even over exaggerating. A white basic T shirt with a
- 33:28Speaker 1: pair of black silk pants and a pair of flip flops.
- 33:30Speaker 1: That is like my dream spring summer outfit. Simple, easy,
- 33:35Speaker 1: and just something that I always try to wear because
- 33:37Speaker 1: it's comfortable and it's still very put together. So I
- 33:40Speaker 1: always love to be comfortable but look put together. That's
- 33:43Speaker 1: something I love. I also love it when I see
- 33:45Speaker 1: a girl wear like a basic outfit and then like
- 33:47Speaker 1: have a bag that's a really nice pop of color,
- 33:50Speaker 1: whether it's like a yellow bag or a green bag.
- 33:53Speaker 1: Like imagine wearing like a white, you know, long sleeve
- 33:56Speaker 1: top with a pair of Levi jeans, and then a
- 33:59Speaker 1: pop of color for a handbag, whether it's a green toe,
- 34:02Speaker 1: a yellow toe, like something that just stands out. I
- 34:05Speaker 1: think that's really fun and a great way to kind
- 34:07Speaker 1: of show a new season and just kind of again
- 34:10Speaker 1: having fun with showing a pop of color in your outfit.
- 34:14Speaker 1: Another thing I love for fashion is loafers this is
- 34:17Speaker 1: never something I could probably pull off, to be honest,
- 34:19Speaker 1: but I love when I see other girls wear loafers.
- 34:22Speaker 1: I'm like, you're freaking cool and you look incredible. I
- 34:25Speaker 1: wear loafers, and I immediately I am like, why do
- 34:28Speaker 1: I look like I just aged myself by twenty years? Like, no,
- 34:32Speaker 1: it's just not for me. I try so hard. I'm
- 34:34Speaker 1: not even kidding, Like I will go to the mall
- 34:36Speaker 1: and I will try and pay loafers, and I'm like,
- 34:38Speaker 1: this is just a not for me. It's just it's
- 34:40Speaker 1: not for me. I can't do it. I don't know.
- 34:43Speaker 1: I just I'm hoping one day there'll be a type
- 34:45Speaker 1: of loafer that just like suits me and I'll feel
- 34:47Speaker 1: confident and wearing it. I'm all about wearing what makes
- 34:50Speaker 1: you feel confident. I will never force a trendy thing
- 34:53Speaker 1: or a very fashionable thing on myself. If I don't
- 34:55Speaker 1: think it looks good on myself, I'm not going to
- 34:57Speaker 1: buy it. I don't care how trendy it is or
- 35:00Speaker 1: how fashionable it is. It's just not for me. And
- 35:02Speaker 1: I think that's okay to accept that that on every
- 35:04Speaker 1: fashion trend is going to look good on you or
- 35:06Speaker 1: suit you. Anyways, I think that's something that everybody can
- 35:10Speaker 1: kind of just like understand that we're not always gonna
- 35:13Speaker 1: fall for every fashion trend and that's okay, But if
- 35:16Speaker 1: you can pull off loafers, I love that for you. Obviously, Spring,
- 35:19Speaker 1: I feel like it's all about florals. So I love
- 35:22Speaker 1: when people have like floral dishware or like floral towels
- 35:26Speaker 1: or napkins. I think it's so so cute for the
- 35:29Speaker 1: spring season. I would love to own a floral dish
- 35:32Speaker 1: set like that to me would be like my dream.
- 35:34Speaker 1: I haven't found the right one, to be honest. Zach
- 35:38Speaker 1: and I were actually out for dinner this weekend. We
- 35:39Speaker 1: celebrated our thirteen years, which is wild, and we went
- 35:43Speaker 1: to this restaurant and they had the most beautiful floral
- 35:47Speaker 1: dish sets. Like I'm talking like a beautiful bowl with
- 35:51Speaker 1: this like pink floral detail around the edge of the
- 35:55Speaker 1: bowl rim and then the bowl inside was white. But
- 35:58Speaker 1: it just was like such a soft detail and so
- 36:02Speaker 1: again effortlessly done that I'm like, I need something like
- 36:05Speaker 1: this in my house. Like just thinking about like hosting,
- 36:07Speaker 1: and you know, I think about myself and my kids
- 36:10Speaker 1: and Zach like ten years from now hosting Easter at
- 36:14Speaker 1: my house and like having like beautiful floral dish sets
- 36:17Speaker 1: like on my dining table for my family, Like that
- 36:20Speaker 1: is so cool. Like I love when girls collect dishware
- 36:23Speaker 1: and then use it for like hosting purposes for like
- 36:26Speaker 1: specific occasions, And I feel like floral is just very
- 36:29Speaker 1: spring and like perfect for celebrating Easter. I also love
- 36:32Speaker 1: anything with lace, like lace right now, I think is
- 36:35Speaker 1: also a really popular style for some girls. Like seeing
- 36:39Speaker 1: like a slip dress with lace, or you know, a
- 36:43Speaker 1: lace silk top. Lace detailing really anywhere, I think just
- 36:47Speaker 1: looks very very chic, and I think it's just a
- 36:49Speaker 1: really nice way to tie in to really anything when
- 36:52Speaker 1: it comes like home to core pieces or fashion. I
- 36:55Speaker 1: just think any detail with lace is super super nice.
- 36:59Speaker 1: And then lastly, especially during the spring, is linen bedding,
- 37:03Speaker 1: Like anything with linen I think is very chic. I
- 37:06Speaker 1: think like white betting specifically during this time of the
- 37:09Speaker 1: year is really like refreshing and it feels really really
- 37:13Speaker 1: good in a home. I think it's just like a
- 37:15Speaker 1: nice thing to have. Also, tulips in a home I
- 37:19Speaker 1: think is also very spring. I just love when I
- 37:21Speaker 1: see girls like at the grocery store buying tulips, you know,
- 37:24Speaker 1: adding it in their home, and again, it just adds
- 37:27Speaker 1: some color, It adds some spring flare to the house.
- 37:29Speaker 1: Like girls who buy fresh flowers all the time. I
- 37:32Speaker 1: think is very cool and something I aspire to do,
- 37:35Speaker 1: even though it is kind of expensive. But every time
- 37:37Speaker 1: I do have fresh flowers in my house, I just
- 37:39Speaker 1: feel really good about it, and it makes my home
- 37:41Speaker 1: feel really new and good and fresh. Obviously, But yeah, linen, bedding,
- 37:47Speaker 1: tulips in a home, obviously, all the things I kind
- 37:49Speaker 1: of talked about, those are some things that I find
- 37:52Speaker 1: really cheap for the spring season. I literally was just
- 37:55Speaker 1: coughing up a storm because I was talking so much
- 37:57Speaker 1: and I did not take a break. But anyways, I
- 38:00Speaker 1: have to edit that out so you guys have hear
- 38:01Speaker 1: me dying from my cough. But I hope you guys
- 38:04Speaker 1: enjoyed this episode. I kind of did it a little
- 38:06Speaker 1: bit different this time, talking more about just kind of
- 38:09Speaker 1: like things I'm into right now that I find are
- 38:12Speaker 1: very chic in general, or just things that I find
- 38:14Speaker 1: chic for the spring season. But if you guys are new,
- 38:18Speaker 1: definitely make sure to follow my Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.
- 38:21Speaker 1: I'm very active on there throughout the week. But I
- 38:24Speaker 1: love you guys. Also much thank you guys for listening
- 38:26Speaker 1: to another episode and I will see you guys in
- 38:28Speaker 1: next week's episode. Bie guys,
