After 25 years, Weiser’s police-run after-school program is shutting down — once serving up to 30 kids daily, it now averages just five. Declining numbers, driven by expanded offerings at the local Boys & Girls Club, led to the decision. The department says officers will now focus on other community needs, and families are encouraged to transition to the Club.
