- 1:06Speaker 2: We're not magicians, we can't.
- 1:08Speaker 3: I mean, we were pretty damn surprised when we saw
- 1:10Speaker 3: that email this morning saying that the screeners will there's
- 1:13Speaker 3: no screw, no more screeners, Like, okay, why no explanation
- 1:17Speaker 3: behind it?
- 1:18Speaker 1: Well, Matt of Reality Gaye was like, I think they
- 1:21Speaker 1: did this last year. UK did this last year that
- 1:24Speaker 1: we didn't get the last two, the wedding one. We
- 1:27Speaker 1: didn't get the wedding ones last year because we know
- 1:30Speaker 1: that we were with the reunions. But he thinks for
- 1:32Speaker 1: UK they don't give the wedding episodes.
- 1:36Speaker 4: I don't remember that.
- 1:38Speaker 2: I don't remember that either, I said, I don't.
- 1:39Speaker 4: Think I just remember the reunion.
- 1:41Speaker 3: Yeah, Matt, I love you, but I think you might
- 1:44Speaker 3: be wrong on this one, buddy.
- 1:46Speaker 1: He might be wrong, but that's okay. So but we're
- 1:50Speaker 1: not here to talk about that, guys. We're here to
- 1:52Speaker 1: talk about I'm back at the beach and the fruit
- 1:54Speaker 1: fliser are still here, So that's what we're here to
- 1:57Speaker 1: talk about.
- 1:58Speaker 3: I told you, I said, you key, these are little
- 2:01Speaker 3: scamps and they're smart.
- 2:03Speaker 4: I'm like Mary Payne.
- 2:05Speaker 3: They have concluded that you guys are one big family,
- 2:08Speaker 3: right right, So you keep talking about these things you're
- 2:12Speaker 3: going to do in the house, So you just gave
- 2:16Speaker 3: them time to prepare, so they were like, let us
- 2:19Speaker 3: show her how committed we really are.
- 2:21Speaker 4: To this family.
- 2:23Speaker 3: Uh huh. They got their gas mask on, like they
- 2:26Speaker 3: didn't fall for your tricks, like you, y'all are gonna
- 2:29Speaker 3: have to do sign language or something like that, because
- 2:31Speaker 3: well they probably fucking know it though.
- 2:33Speaker 4: Yeah, you're right right.
- 2:35Speaker 1: I gotta tell you that they have been here and
- 2:37Speaker 1: bombed this house twice. So they bombed it once and
- 2:41Speaker 1: then later that week the cleaning lady came by and
- 2:44Speaker 1: I kind of forgot, but I asked her a couple
- 2:45Speaker 1: of days later ago, Oh, I forgot to ask, like,
- 2:47Speaker 1: everything good with the fruit fly? She's like, no, they're
- 2:50Speaker 1: still hanging around. Damn it.
- 2:53Speaker 4: They're telling you there's some kind of hybrid.
- 2:55Speaker 1: They bombed a second time, and they are i'd say,
- 3:00Speaker 1: seventy percent better. Okay, they're not just like flying at
- 3:03Speaker 1: my face while I'm trying to record. But I do
- 3:05Speaker 1: have this and their listener wrote me this thing. Okay,
- 3:09Speaker 1: See it sucks them up with the light and then
- 3:12Speaker 1: it puts them down here in the chamber and there's
- 3:14Speaker 1: a sticky pad down there and they can't get out.
- 3:16Speaker 2: So I've got now I've got two of these.
- 3:18Speaker 1: Have you seen any fruit flies in those Yeah, I
- 3:21Speaker 1: opened it up to see there. But the one in
- 3:25Speaker 1: the fruitfly trip in my bathroom, it's like a thing
- 3:27Speaker 1: that sticks into the light like a night light, and
- 3:29Speaker 1: it's got like a sticky thing. When I tell you
- 3:31Speaker 1: there's not there's no there's no space at that end.
- 3:33Speaker 1: There are thousands stuck to it. As in thousands, I'm
- 3:39Speaker 1: not exaggerating. So I was like, okay, so we've literally
- 3:42Speaker 1: killed families and families and villages of fruitflies.
- 3:46Speaker 4: Generations, generations, yet they keep coming back.
- 3:49Speaker 1: So I keep reading, they keep reading. I don't know
- 3:53Speaker 1: what they're doing in my drains, but they are. The
- 3:57Speaker 1: supervisor is now coming by from the pest control supervisor
- 4:01Speaker 1: Jason is coming next Wednesday. He can't come till next Wednesday.
- 4:06Speaker 1: But I was like, okay, I'll take it. They're like,
- 4:07Speaker 1: he's only on the island on Wednesdays. Can you come
- 4:09Speaker 1: next Wednesday? I go, I'll be waiting for him to
- 4:11Speaker 1: see just like my uh, just like my hernia.
- 4:16Speaker 4: No, what did I have?
- 4:17Speaker 2: I had an aneurysm, not a hernia.
- 4:19Speaker 4: I have that too, Okay, just you have a near
- 4:21Speaker 4: death experience, You did not have a hernia.
- 4:25Speaker 1: Just like my aneurism. It's a rare case. It's a
- 4:27Speaker 1: rare case of fruit flies. I had a rare aneurism.
- 4:31Speaker 1: And uh yeah, but they know that I'm here at
- 4:33Speaker 1: this desk now, so they are starting to approach. They're
- 4:37Speaker 1: very excited about my coffee. They're super excited about my
- 4:40Speaker 1: new This is an office meeting for the guys.
- 4:46Speaker 4: The coffee's already made. It's come on, don't come on.
- 4:49Speaker 4: Chlrety got it for it, Like, oh, sure, come on,
- 4:52Speaker 4: come on. They're on there on a meeting starting. This
- 4:54Speaker 4: is a meeting for them.
- 4:55Speaker 1: Keisha, your take on the fruit flies has literally been
- 4:58Speaker 1: the same grace for my mental health on this fruit
- 5:02Speaker 1: fly every time she comes up with something new about
- 5:04Speaker 1: the fruit flies. When she was like, when you get there,
- 5:06Speaker 1: school would have started. So they're gonna won't be some
- 5:09Speaker 1: many there because they have someonever at school, new school year.
- 5:15Speaker 4: I'll tell you what.
- 5:15Speaker 3: If the supervisor cannot get this on the control, you're
- 5:19Speaker 3: gonna have to call Billy the exterminator.
- 5:23Speaker 4: Who's that? Oh, oh, are you kidding me?
- 5:28Speaker 2: No, I don't know what you're talking about.
- 5:29Speaker 3: Who's that Billy the exterminator? Of course you didn't watch
- 5:33Speaker 3: that damn show.
- 5:34Speaker 2: I s what is is that the name of the show.
- 5:38Speaker 4: Yes, and it's about that. They do buds, critters, all
- 5:43Speaker 4: kinds of stuff.
- 5:44Speaker 1: Yeah, he's is it one of those things where like
- 5:46Speaker 1: they pull down a wall and it's like a six
- 5:48Speaker 1: foot bee hive in the wall and that kind of shit.
- 5:51Speaker 3: And then they saved the bees because bees are good
- 5:53Speaker 3: for the environ Okay, well yeah for that, yes.
- 5:56Speaker 4: Yes, they're all about you know, conservation all that.
- 5:59Speaker 3: Now yes, no, no need for rats, so they will kill
- 6:02Speaker 3: the hell out of rats. But Billy Exterminator had seven series,
- 6:06Speaker 3: including the last the last seven seasons, the last season
- 6:12Speaker 3: which was Billy Goes North because they're based on Louisiana.
- 6:16Speaker 3: Oh okay, travel Well, he's a full he's a full
- 6:20Speaker 3: on vampire.
- 6:20Speaker 4: Now like, okay, he's got the things.
- 6:23Speaker 3: No, yes, okay, I'm gonna have to message him.
- 6:28Speaker 1: Okay, is uh what when when the lady called today,
- 6:32Speaker 1: was like hi, like she called me for the pest control.
- 6:34Speaker 1: I didn't call her like she called me. He was like, Hi,
- 6:37Speaker 1: I understand the problem.
- 6:38Speaker 4: She said.
- 6:38Speaker 1: What what we're gonna do is I'm gonna send the
- 6:41Speaker 1: guy over on Wednesday, blah blah blah.
- 6:42Speaker 4: And I said, yeah, I go the fruit flies.
- 6:44Speaker 1: I said, you know, I have bought I've spent hundreds
- 6:47Speaker 1: of dollars on traps and things. And I said, and
- 6:50Speaker 1: I've bought more apple cider vinegar than I ever have
- 6:52Speaker 1: bought in mine, for it's in every room of the house.
- 6:54Speaker 4: I'm just pouring it bowls all over the place. And
- 6:57Speaker 4: she goes, they are very hard to.
- 6:58Speaker 2: Get rid of. Once you get you get them. And
- 7:01Speaker 2: she goes.
- 7:01Speaker 4: But are they better? I go, They're way better. They're
- 7:04Speaker 4: way better.
- 7:05Speaker 1: And I don't mind if I see one here or there,
- 7:07Speaker 1: I said, but you know, I got to wash my face.
- 7:09Speaker 1: They were die bombing when I was washing my face.
- 7:12Speaker 1: I said, at least they're not doing that anymore. They
- 7:14Speaker 1: do see me coming and they respectfully get to the side.
- 7:17Speaker 4: So that's good. I mean, that's good.
- 7:19Speaker 3: But unfortunately, you probably got twenty of them in the
- 7:21Speaker 3: maternity ward right now producing more babies. And they do.
- 7:26Speaker 4: They gotta, they gotta produce fifty at.
- 7:27Speaker 3: A time, and all their last name is gonna be Gilbert,
- 7:32Speaker 3: little Gilbert baby.
- 7:33Speaker 4: It's gonna be like a twenty three and me scandal,
- 7:36Speaker 4: you know. And they Oh my god, they've got to
- 7:41Speaker 4: get out of here.
- 7:42Speaker 1: Well anyway, guys, So I'll be dealing with them till
- 7:44Speaker 1: next Wednesday until the supervisor could come by. But I
- 7:46Speaker 1: do feel that what I have done in the double
- 7:48Speaker 1: bombing hustle. I did throw away my toothbrush though, because
- 7:51Speaker 1: it was sitting on the counter and I got a
- 7:53Speaker 1: little holder and I got I think.
- 7:55Speaker 2: Yeah, that's gonna have to I gotta have to know that's.
- 7:57Speaker 4: Not that's not.
- 7:58Speaker 1: Yeah, I throw away my husband's No, but I should.
- 8:01Speaker 1: I should let him know to bring a.
- 8:02Speaker 3: New tooth I am going to message him myself, I say,
- 8:05Speaker 3: I think she's plotting on.
- 8:07Speaker 4: You, Dave, because you need a new toothbrush.
- 8:10Speaker 2: That would be such a good dateline.
- 8:11Speaker 1: It would be like they came and bombed the house
- 8:14Speaker 1: for something and they didn't think about their items on
- 8:16Speaker 1: the counter, and that was the way that that was
- 8:19Speaker 1: the way that she got rid of her husband. She
- 8:21Speaker 1: had the house like bombed for fleas, but left all
- 8:24Speaker 1: his shit that he uses, and then you put it
- 8:26Speaker 1: onto his face and was poisoned.
- 8:27Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, Dave, you might want to be a little
- 8:32Speaker 3: concerned because she came up with that way too quick.
- 8:35Speaker 2: Nobody steal it. Nobody steal it. Y'all.
- 8:39Speaker 1: What's the hardest thing about hitting your protein goals? For me,
- 8:42Speaker 1: it's breakfast. I'm always trying to figure out a protein
- 8:45Speaker 1: packed breakfast because there's so many days when I know
- 8:47Speaker 1: I'm not going to be able to grab lunch. So
- 8:49Speaker 1: let me tell you, Tropical Smoothie Cafe helps me hit
- 8:52Speaker 1: that protein goal every morning while staying on Tropic time.
- 8:56Speaker 1: At Tropical Smoothie Cafe, it's super easy, breezy to get
- 8:59Speaker 1: your morning protein. My favorite part is you can order
- 9:01Speaker 1: a head in the app and you can do it

- 9:07Speaker 1: even faster.
- 9:07Speaker 4: You guys, I love the app.
- 9:09Speaker 1: You could go get my husband's favorite, which is the

- 9:17Speaker 1: can do almonds, spinach, kale, chias, ginger, or supplements like Energizer.

- 9:33Speaker 4: You guys.
- 9:33Speaker 1: On the way home from the beach, we stopped at
- 9:35Speaker 1: Tropical Smoothie in North Carolina and I got two of

- 9:58Speaker 1: You're on tropic time now. Oh my god, Well listen.
- 10:03Speaker 1: Speaking to criminals and criminal activity, let's talk about Family
- 10:07Speaker 1: lock Up. Okay, guys. So this is a show. It's
- 10:10Speaker 1: on A and E. So if you happen to miss
- 10:11Speaker 1: it and you're just getting the recap, you could probably go.
- 10:14Speaker 1: I believe A and E has an app. I remember
- 10:16Speaker 1: last year I kind of like watched it on an
- 10:17Speaker 1: A and E app on my TV and so, but
- 10:20Speaker 1: if you want to record it, it's on A and
- 10:22Speaker 1: E ten pm on Thursday nights. It's called Family lock Up.
- 10:26Speaker 1: It's uh, we were not to know. We went to
- 10:28Speaker 1: expect so I'm glad that this first episode we kind
- 10:30Speaker 1: of got it out of the way, so now we
- 10:32Speaker 1: know we'll be able to like roll through this a
- 10:34Speaker 1: little quicker as far as me like doing the notes
- 10:37Speaker 1: and us knowing the theme of the show. But this is
- 10:40Speaker 1: done by the same production company that is sixty Days In,
- 10:43Speaker 1: which in my opinion, has done a lot better than this.
- 10:47Speaker 4: This is the first season, so they're going to see
- 10:49Speaker 4: how it does.
- 10:50Speaker 2: You know, Yeah, we'll see.
- 10:52Speaker 1: So this first couple that we have this is this
- 10:56Speaker 1: is a man named Rick and a kid named Darren.
- 11:00Speaker 1: My computer just kept correcting it to the right spelling
- 11:03Speaker 1: of Darren, and at one point.
- 11:04Speaker 4: I was like, okay, you know what.
- 11:07Speaker 1: Yeah, So the premise of the show, guys were in Springfield, Massachusetts. Okay,
- 11:11Speaker 1: Massachusetts is impossible for me to say, so I'm never
- 11:14Speaker 1: gonna say it again. Really, I can't say Massachusetts Massachusetts.
- 11:18Speaker 2: It's one of those words.
- 11:20Speaker 1: So we share see a guy named Sheriff Coachi, which
- 11:24Speaker 1: I just immediately was like, Sheriff Coucie. Like it it's
- 11:30Speaker 1: quite a name. I gotta call him Coucie. So Sheriff
- 11:33Speaker 1: Coochie says for a lot of inmates. Jail is a
- 11:36Speaker 1: revolving door, and inmates with no family support are more
- 11:39Speaker 1: likely to return to jail. And for these inmates, this
- 11:42Speaker 1: is their last chance. This program that he's doing is
- 11:45Speaker 1: the opportunity to mend the broken bond and prove to
- 11:48Speaker 1: their family members that they're gonna get it right this time.
- 11:51Speaker 1: Darren is not interested in getting it right this time.
- 11:54Speaker 3: No, And I felt like he and Rick need it
- 11:58Speaker 3: more than two days a week.
- 12:02Speaker 4: This is ridiculous.
- 12:04Speaker 1: Surely they film twenty five hours of therapy and we
- 12:08Speaker 1: only get twenty minutes because this is crazy, and we're
- 12:11Speaker 1: gonna get to do this very It.
- 12:13Speaker 3: Was very quick, and I was just like two two days,
- 12:18Speaker 3: and one of the days they're not even together.
- 12:21Speaker 2: This is no, it's a bad plan.
- 12:23Speaker 1: So we get a black screen of death that tells
- 12:26Speaker 1: us this is a program where ordinary citizens will participate
- 12:29Speaker 1: in an unprecedented program, spending forty eight hours in jail
- 12:33Speaker 1: living as inmates to confront a loved one. They'll be
- 12:36Speaker 1: housed with real inmates, not really, they're by themselves. These
- 12:41Speaker 1: inmates need to repair their relationships to stay out of jail.
- 12:43Speaker 1: Family members will decide if they're going to stay in
- 12:46Speaker 1: the inmates' lives or.
- 12:47Speaker 4: Cut ties forever.
- 12:50Speaker 2: So dramatic doesn't need to be.
- 12:52Speaker 4: It doesn't need to be.
- 12:53Speaker 3: It cut Well, it's the first episode, so you got
- 12:56Speaker 3: to get people worked up, get that blood flowing a
- 12:59Speaker 3: little bit, get them mixed about what's going on. They
- 13:01Speaker 3: made it sound a lot more serious to what we
- 13:04Speaker 3: actually see. Yeah, yeah, but I could, I could, I
- 13:07Speaker 3: could appreciate.
- 13:08Speaker 4: A little drama. Yeah, dramatization.
- 13:11Speaker 1: We first meet Rick Sampson. Okay, Rick is sixty three
- 13:15Speaker 1: from New Hampshire. He is Darren's father. He says he's
- 13:20Speaker 1: gonna find out if Darren is ready to join the
- 13:22Speaker 1: family because on drugs, he's not Darren, he's a monster.
- 13:26Speaker 3: Well, I'll say this, Rick's teeth. We're most definitely ready
- 13:31Speaker 3: for prison.
- 13:33Speaker 2: Rick with fit right in.
- 13:35Speaker 4: He well, not on the teeth.
- 13:38Speaker 3: He's gonna walk into prison looking like the leader of
- 13:40Speaker 3: the Aryan Nations.
- 13:43Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 13:45Speaker 4: I was like, uh, I think Rick's gonna fit right
- 13:48Speaker 4: on and like they're gonna accept him.
- 13:50Speaker 2: Like yep, yep, I agree. Oh that's a big one.
- 13:54Speaker 4: Sorry, pregnant returnity war, I.
- 13:58Speaker 2: Gotta put that one right. We're delivery ooh, that was
- 14:00Speaker 2: a big one.
- 14:01Speaker 4: Okay.
- 14:01Speaker 1: So okay, So in twenty seventeen, Darren was charged with manslaughter.
- 14:08Speaker 1: So we're like, whoa, this is different. So his girlfriend
- 14:12Speaker 1: overdosed and died of heroin soil. He was charged with manslaughter.
- 14:16Speaker 1: He was in for two and a half years. Two
- 14:18Speaker 1: and a half years. A girl died two and a
- 14:20Speaker 1: half years.
- 14:21Speaker 4: That sounds about right though, for manslaughter.
- 14:24Speaker 1: With drugs, because it sounds like unless he's injecting her
- 14:29Speaker 1: against her will, drugs, his drugs, she's a participant.
- 14:35Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, it's.
- 14:39Speaker 3: Yeah, Yeah, that's a weird one right there, with drugs.
- 14:44Speaker 4: Yeahah.
- 14:45Speaker 2: So did you ever watch Breaking Bad? Have we talked
- 14:47Speaker 2: about this?
- 14:50Speaker 4: Which one is the one where the guy would cancer
- 14:52Speaker 4: makes the math? Yeah? That's Breaking Bad. I've been on
- 14:55Speaker 4: season one for like a year.
- 14:57Speaker 1: Okay, you got it. Just just just do it, just
- 14:59Speaker 1: do it. It's so there is a situation like this.
- 15:02Speaker 1: I won't tell you spoiler for you, even as the
- 15:04Speaker 1: show is now twenty years old.
- 15:06Speaker 4: But there is a situation like this.
- 15:07Speaker 2: So okay, so now he's back in.
- 15:12Speaker 1: So he was in for two and a half years,
- 15:13Speaker 1: but now he's back in reviolating parole because of drugs.
- 15:18Speaker 1: He's in a fourteen month sentence currently, but he sets
- 15:20Speaker 1: to be released in six months. Okay when okay, Rick
- 15:25Speaker 1: tells us when I first met my wife, Darren was
- 15:27Speaker 1: three and a half, so actually he's my step soon.
- 15:29Speaker 1: But I instantly fell in love with him. He called
- 15:31Speaker 1: me daddy. We had such joy.
- 15:32Speaker 4: You know.
- 15:33Speaker 1: It's the best decision ever to be a father to Darren.
- 15:36Speaker 1: And then he says, I have a religious background, and
- 15:39Speaker 1: I believe the more good you do for the community,
- 15:42Speaker 1: the more God will bless you. Okay, So we're just
- 15:44Speaker 1: thinking like, oh, he's always been religious and at some
- 15:47Speaker 1: point Darren was like this is not the life for me.
- 15:49Speaker 1: But no, he didn't turn religious till later.
- 15:53Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 15:54Speaker 3: And sometimes I have found that when people I rather
- 15:58Speaker 3: someone say they have on spirituality than religion, because now
- 16:03Speaker 3: you're in a box. And if it's when people find
- 16:07Speaker 3: it later in life, it's just something about it.
- 16:10Speaker 4: They become laser.
- 16:12Speaker 3: Focused the religion, like it's almost holt like like, yeah, we.
- 16:19Speaker 1: Have a girl like that on ninety day UK right
- 16:21Speaker 1: now who became a age forty something.
- 16:23Speaker 3: Yeah, and it's like they become like so obsessed with
- 16:27Speaker 3: it more so than someone who was just raised in
- 16:30Speaker 3: the church. And you know what I mean, they become
- 16:32Speaker 3: laser focused and very.
- 16:35Speaker 4: Judgmental sometimes.
- 16:37Speaker 2: Even though they've done these things themselves, right exactly.
- 16:41Speaker 4: Yeah, So.
- 16:43Speaker 1: Okay, and he you know, so he gets books, he
- 16:45Speaker 1: gets as much shot never to get the you know,
- 16:47Speaker 1: the real experience whatever. And he says, at age thirteen,
- 16:51Speaker 1: I told Darren I wasn't his biological dad, Well, why
- 16:56Speaker 1: be an asshole?
- 16:58Speaker 4: And he did it to be an.
- 16:59Speaker 3: Asshole because Darren upset him about something, wasn't doing whatever
- 17:04Speaker 3: whatever he thought he should be doing. So to hurt
- 17:07Speaker 3: the kid, you yell out, you're not my real son.
- 17:09Speaker 3: Well that was the start of all the bullshit right there.
- 17:13Speaker 2: It was a terrible thing to do.
- 17:15Speaker 3: It was kind of like to sit down, we need
- 17:16Speaker 3: to tell this child, you know, mom and dad, sit down.
- 17:20Speaker 4: No, this was I yelled, you pissed me off, and I, well,
- 17:25Speaker 4: I'm gonna be pretty fucked up about that too.
- 17:28Speaker 1: Terrible And he says, I think that's what catapulted him
- 17:31Speaker 1: into drugs. You know, he started with pot, then pills
- 17:33Speaker 1: that heroin. You know, we've heard this a million times.
- 17:35Speaker 1: And he goes, and I had to disassociate with him,
- 17:39Speaker 1: and which is not.
- 17:41Speaker 2: The correct use of that word.
- 17:42Speaker 1: But he says, when Darren was thirty five, he got
- 17:45Speaker 1: married and his wife died in complications of childbirth, and
- 17:51Speaker 1: you know, he really spiraled. We lost track of him,
- 17:53Speaker 1: and that we saw on the news he was arrested
- 17:55Speaker 1: for manslaughter.
- 17:58Speaker 2: And then we see a picture of Darren because.
- 18:00Speaker 1: We hadn't seen Darrin yet, and like, whoa Amish meth head,
- 18:03Speaker 1: Amish meth head.
- 18:05Speaker 2: But that's what he looks like.
- 18:09Speaker 3: Wow, he ain't got a tooth to his name, he
- 18:12Speaker 3: ain't got a too zero, he ain't got a hair
- 18:14Speaker 3: on his head.
- 18:18Speaker 4: He's got pretty eyes. That's that I can give him.
- 18:20Speaker 2: That he's a mushmouth. It's bad.
- 18:23Speaker 4: So well he is. Well, she ain't got no God.

- 20:08Speaker 1: whoa Amish meth head, Amish meth head.
- 20:11Speaker 4: But that's what he looks like.
- 20:15Speaker 3: Wow, he ain't got a tooth to his name, He
- 20:19Speaker 3: ain't got a to zero, he ain't got a hair
- 20:21Speaker 3: on his head.
- 20:24Speaker 4: He's got pretty eyes. That's that I can give him.
- 20:27Speaker 2: That he's a mush mouth. It's bad, so well he is.
- 20:31Speaker 4: She ain't got no God.
- 20:34Speaker 2: He smoked those heroin, those teeth right out.
- 20:36Speaker 4: Of his head, so yes, he did so.
- 20:39Speaker 1: Then when he when he got out of the manslaughter thing,
- 20:42Speaker 1: he moved it with his parents to get clean.
- 20:45Speaker 2: But he's aid, but we found syringes. We had to
- 20:46Speaker 2: kick him out.
- 20:47Speaker 1: I haven't talked to him in seven months and I
- 20:50Speaker 1: want to know that my son this time will try
- 20:52Speaker 1: to quit drugs and get clean.
- 20:53Speaker 4: Like this is it? Okay.
- 20:55Speaker 2: So we walked into Boson.
- 20:56Speaker 1: We hear everybody's yelling, right, everybodys yelling, which okay, I
- 21:00Speaker 1: kind of love.
- 21:00Speaker 3: What Every time that the what do you call the prison,
- 21:05Speaker 3: the prison guards would have like closed the door clank.
- 21:08Speaker 3: I would have been like, you guys know, this is
- 21:10Speaker 3: not for real, right, you guys, there's a code.
- 21:13Speaker 4: There's a code I can hit right when I need
- 21:15Speaker 4: to come. This is I'm not really a prisoner.
- 21:17Speaker 3: I would constantly be reminding him, I'm not a real prisoner,
- 21:21Speaker 3: Please don't lock my door, Like well.
- 21:24Speaker 2: It's interesting.
- 21:26Speaker 1: When he was doing all the mugshot and stuff, they
- 21:28Speaker 1: had the door closed and they said, I need you
- 21:30Speaker 1: to strip down.
- 21:30Speaker 4: We have to do a visual check.
- 21:31Speaker 2: We you know, for the real prisoners they do spread
- 21:34Speaker 2: at and cough.
- 21:34Speaker 1: I mean, you know, I wonder if they did that
- 21:37Speaker 1: to him. No, because they said, we just need to
- 21:39Speaker 1: do a visual check. So I was like, we'll go
- 21:41Speaker 1: give you that. We're not gonna put our finger up
- 21:43Speaker 1: your buttthole.
- 21:44Speaker 4: Okay.
- 21:44Speaker 3: Can you imagine the scripture that he would have foraid.
- 21:48Speaker 3: He would have been speaking in tongues.
- 21:54Speaker 4: Yep. So okay.
- 21:57Speaker 1: So we met Darren, Darren's forty one, and he said,
- 22:00Speaker 1: you know, my dad was always my dad. He was outdoorsy,
- 22:02Speaker 1: he liked hiking. We had a great time. But the
- 22:05Speaker 1: rifts started with my parents when Rick really got into religion.
- 22:11Speaker 1: He had a pregnant girlfriend when he was seventeen, and
- 22:14Speaker 1: his parents cut him off. Rick didn't tell us that part.
- 22:17Speaker 4: Man.
- 22:17Speaker 3: They also didn't tell us what happened to that kid,
- 22:20Speaker 3: like did she lose the baby? Does she have the baby?
- 22:22Speaker 3: We only know that about the baby from.
- 22:25Speaker 4: The white right.
- 22:26Speaker 2: We don't know about that. We don't know about the seventeen.
- 22:30Speaker 1: And he says, so, so we don't know what happened
- 22:32Speaker 1: to baby number one. And then he met his wife
- 22:35Speaker 1: at thirty. She got pregnant. He took her to the
- 22:38Speaker 1: hospital for a severe headache, they said, dated her for
- 22:41Speaker 1: a c section and she died. Oh god, that's just
- 22:45Speaker 1: that's traumatic.
- 22:46Speaker 4: It is traumatic. Yeah. Yeah.
- 22:48Speaker 2: And after that.
- 22:49Speaker 1: He dove into drugs. So it's like, was he he
- 22:52Speaker 1: was only doing like pot or pills before that, but
- 22:54Speaker 1: after that he was like, well, I've got no reason
- 22:55Speaker 1: to lit.
- 22:57Speaker 2: Straight to heroin.
- 22:58Speaker 3: Yeah, and I'm a sue and we don't know what
- 23:02Speaker 3: happened to that baby either.
- 23:03Speaker 2: We just know, oh we do know it's alive, right,
- 23:06Speaker 2: but we don't know.
- 23:07Speaker 3: We know it's alive, like got adopted with the family member.
- 23:10Speaker 1: We don't know, right, we don't know. So he says, yeah,
- 23:13Speaker 1: like you know, I just use Heroin to escape. And
- 23:16Speaker 1: they said, what does your dad think of all this?
- 23:18Speaker 2: Because I don't know. We don't talk.
- 23:20Speaker 1: So we see all his drawings, and everybody's in prison
- 23:23Speaker 1: like really hyping him up about his drawings.
- 23:24Speaker 4: His drawings are talented, look talented. That's all we have.
- 23:29Speaker 4: Was like, okay, okay.
- 23:32Speaker 2: Person talented and he's prison talented.
- 23:34Speaker 1: And in my mind, I'm like, okay, so he could
- 23:37Speaker 1: get out and maybe you go to art school, you
- 23:39Speaker 1: know what I mean, just like yeah.
- 23:40Speaker 4: Something something. Yeah, he's got to start. He's got to start, right,
- 23:45Speaker 4: He's got a something. Yeah.
- 23:47Speaker 1: So he says he didn't have any guidance growing up
- 23:50Speaker 1: and he just needs a supportive role model. He's very
- 23:53Speaker 1: happy his dad's coming.
- 23:54Speaker 4: Okay.
- 23:55Speaker 1: Day one, Rick says, I'm not sure what's gonna happen,
- 23:59Speaker 1: but I'm here because I love my son. Rick will
- 24:01Speaker 1: be housed away from his son for the next twenty
- 24:03Speaker 1: four hours so we can experience life as an inmate.
- 24:06Speaker 1: Why you're wasting After the experiment, I'm like.
- 24:10Speaker 3: No, I need to be with my child and he protection.
- 24:13Speaker 3: I don't need to try. This is not my walk.
- 24:17Speaker 3: I don't need to be by myself at all.
- 24:19Speaker 1: They put him in a cell together and let him
- 24:21Speaker 1: stay and let him like work it out in the
- 24:22Speaker 1: cell together.
- 24:23Speaker 2: In addition to the therapy.
- 24:25Speaker 4: I agree.
- 24:26Speaker 1: So everybody's yelling in the prison and the guard is like, okay, look,
- 24:31Speaker 1: you know when I'm when you're walking around, your number
- 24:33Speaker 1: one rule is head on.
- 24:34Speaker 4: A swivel, head on a swivel.
- 24:35Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 24:36Speaker 1: They put him in a single cell and so they go, okay,
- 24:39Speaker 1: now it's open time.
- 24:40Speaker 2: It's wreck time.
- 24:41Speaker 1: So he walks out to the yard and everybody's giving
- 24:44Speaker 1: him the look because he's new right, and everybody's staring
- 24:46Speaker 1: at him. He's walking around. God, Bless, bless God, as men,
- 24:51Speaker 1: you are the army of God. As men, you are
- 24:53Speaker 1: in this prison. You can free yourself. And they're all
- 24:56Speaker 1: like we good, no, back up, Jesus freak. And they're like, now,
- 25:01Speaker 1: we know, to leave him alone.
- 25:03Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, can you imagine doing that? Like, I don't know,
- 25:05Speaker 4: on your first.
- 25:05Speaker 3: Day of high school at school, you would get punched
- 25:10Speaker 3: upside the head for saying some shit like that. Like yeah,
- 25:15Speaker 3: but here's the thing. What do you do on your
- 25:18Speaker 3: first day of prison? How do you what do you say?
- 25:21Speaker 3: Do you just go up and say, hi, my name
- 25:23Speaker 3: is how are you?
- 25:24Speaker 4: I'm in for this? Like what? What?
- 25:27Speaker 3: What is the first step that you do to start
- 25:30Speaker 3: off a conversation in prison?
- 25:31Speaker 4: Not not not what Rick did.
- 25:33Speaker 1: Not not that I think Rick had a good plan
- 25:35Speaker 1: because he's like, I'm gonna go in there like a
- 25:37Speaker 1: full crazy and they're going to be alone. Yeah yeah, hm,
- 25:41Speaker 1: although for him it wasn't crazy, but you know, he
- 25:43Speaker 1: seems crazy to those other people, and these are people
- 25:45Speaker 1: with face tattoos. Okay, now we get doctor Jeff Guardier.
- 25:52Speaker 1: Doctor Jeff is going to meet with Darren to get
- 25:54Speaker 1: a better understanding of how to help him and Rick
- 25:56Speaker 1: resolve their issues. And immediately I was like, we know
- 26:00Speaker 1: doctor Jeff.
- 26:02Speaker 3: We've seen doctor Jeff Jeff of so many things, and
- 26:06Speaker 3: not just on A and E.
- 26:08Speaker 4: I was like, doctor Jeff, come to me. Okay, so
- 26:12Speaker 4: let me. I'm gonna explain to you all about doctor Jeff.
- 26:14Speaker 4: First of all, I do.
- 26:15Speaker 1: I've seen him on Atlanta, So I looked it up.
- 26:18Speaker 1: I was like, is he Drew Sodora's therapists? No, doctor
- 26:23Speaker 1: Drew's Sodora has somebody else. But I think he was
- 26:25Speaker 1: like Niini's therapist.
- 26:27Speaker 4: Yes he was. He was, and he's.
- 26:30Speaker 2: Also been on Potomac.
- 26:32Speaker 4: But I could remember what he was like, I said,
- 26:35Speaker 4: not just on A and E.
- 26:36Speaker 2: Yeah, he moves around.
- 26:40Speaker 4: Let me give you.
- 26:40Speaker 1: Let me give you about doctor Jeff's bio. Okay, So
- 26:43Speaker 1: he went to g W and then after he so
- 26:46Speaker 1: he has it. He has a PhD and a He's
- 26:50Speaker 1: got two PhDs.
- 26:51Speaker 2: Whatever, So he is.
- 26:52Speaker 4: He is actually like highly educated.
- 26:54Speaker 1: He worked as a stuff psychologist for the Federal Bureau
- 26:58Speaker 1: of Prisons. He to chief psychologists in the Federal Bureau
- 27:02Speaker 1: of Prisons, only one of two African American chief psychologists
- 27:06Speaker 1: at the time. During his tenure, he was instrumental in
- 27:09Speaker 1: designing a psychological treatment for HIV infected prisoners, and he
- 27:15Speaker 1: helped negotiate hostage negotiations in the Atlanta prisons. Each unitey
- 27:19Speaker 1: eighty seven. He's a professor and Course directoral of Behavioral
- 27:24Speaker 1: Medicine at Turo College of Osteopathic Medicine in New York City.
- 27:28Speaker 4: Then he gives the all.
- 27:29Speaker 1: He's been on a show called Dad Camp, he was
- 27:32Speaker 1: on Real Housewives of Atlanta, Real House House of Potomac,
- 27:34Speaker 1: Love and Hip Hop Love and Hip Hop Atlanta, Celebrity
- 27:38Speaker 1: Damage Control, and a show called They Got Away with
- 27:40Speaker 1: It on the Real Channel. He has six children and
- 27:44Speaker 1: he's Catholic.
- 27:46Speaker 4: Well that goes together. Yeah, he's in six skates.
- 27:52Speaker 1: He's an ordained interfaith minister and has written a book
- 27:56Speaker 1: called The Causes of Autism?
- 28:00Speaker 4: What what did that? Okay?
- 28:03Speaker 1: And Uh, he's written a bunch of books about African
- 28:05Speaker 1: American men and women in relationships. And when you go
- 28:08Speaker 1: to his website, which is like doctor Jeffguardier dot com
- 28:12Speaker 1: or whatever, it gives you all this information and it's
- 28:15Speaker 1: a picture of him kind of looking like he does
- 28:16Speaker 1: on the show, like in his coat. And then as
- 28:18Speaker 1: you're scrolling down, a picture just zooms across the screen
- 28:21Speaker 1: and it's him in a leather jacket with like stars
- 28:24Speaker 1: and stripes all over it at all leather.
- 28:27Speaker 3: Now, I've not seen that side of him before, but
- 28:30Speaker 3: I will tell you he loves the phrase what the hell?
- 28:35Speaker 4: He says it.
- 28:35Speaker 3: Also, I have seen him on Atlanta, Potomac Love and
- 28:38Speaker 3: hip hop.
- 28:40Speaker 2: Mm hmm.
- 28:40Speaker 4: What else have I seen? Like this was not a
- 28:43Speaker 4: new face room.
- 28:43Speaker 1: I'm like, oh, hey, I don't think this is doctor
- 28:47Speaker 1: Jeff's wheelhouse. I know that he started off this way,
- 28:53Speaker 1: but I don't think doctor Jeff is somebody that these prisoners, men, women, white,
- 28:58Speaker 1: black are going to relate to.
- 29:01Speaker 3: Well, it's especially not after two sessions.
- 29:06Speaker 1: No, and the way he's like dressed and the way
- 29:08Speaker 1: he appears, I don't think these guys are like, oh, yeah,
- 29:11Speaker 1: this is a guy that relates to us and can
- 29:13Speaker 1: has walked our walk?
- 29:15Speaker 2: Do you know what I mean?
- 29:16Speaker 4: Yeah, that's true, that's true. That's true.
- 29:19Speaker 1: So doctor Jeff meets with Darren and Darren tells him
- 29:23Speaker 1: that a friend of mine odeed when he was his girlfriend.
- 29:26Speaker 1: He says, a friend of mine odeed. I got charged.
- 29:28Speaker 1: Drugs have been a part of my life, but they
- 29:31Speaker 1: really became a problem when my wife died in twenty twelve.
- 29:34Speaker 1: I miss her every day. I loved her.
- 29:36Speaker 2: His son is now eleven, but we don't know information.
- 29:40Speaker 4: He says.
- 29:40Speaker 1: He says, my son is not in my life at all.
- 29:42Speaker 1: I didn't haven't seen him since twenty sixteen, so that's it.
- 29:45Speaker 4: So he's probably with the wife's.
- 29:47Speaker 2: Family, must be.
- 29:49Speaker 4: Doctor Jeff has on quite a ring here. Did you
- 29:52Speaker 4: just see that ring?
- 29:53Speaker 3: Look, doctor Jeff has just a touch of sex to him.
- 29:58Speaker 1: He does, and that's why I was very surprised he
- 30:00Speaker 1: had six children.
- 30:03Speaker 3: Ah, Okay, I had a pick up on that.
- 30:06Speaker 4: Now. Yeah, No, he has a touch of sass. So yeah,
- 30:09Speaker 4: not as much zip sass as Zuria's dad goes. I
- 30:13Speaker 4: was just thinking of Aria's dad.
- 30:15Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, you don't have that much sass, but he's
- 30:18Speaker 3: supposed to definitely got a sprinkle of sas in them.
- 30:21Speaker 4: He for sure, he for sure does.
- 30:24Speaker 1: He is a super super educated guy, and I think
- 30:28Speaker 1: very qualified.
- 30:29Speaker 4: But I think you need.
- 30:30Speaker 1: To come in in more like jeans and a zip
- 30:34Speaker 1: up in this situation, you know what I mean.
- 30:36Speaker 2: You don't need to be like.
- 30:37Speaker 4: Flashy flashy for the housewives. Yes, you know, of course.
- 30:42Speaker 4: So Darren, okay, blah blah blah blah blah.
- 30:46Speaker 2: Anyway, the ring.
- 30:47Speaker 1: Okay, So Darren explains, when my dad became super religious,
- 30:51Speaker 1: he started taking care of other people more than us,
- 30:55Speaker 1: and I was very resentful of that. And Jeff says, well,
- 30:58Speaker 1: then how did your parents rack when your wife died?
- 31:01Speaker 1: And he goes, they weren't involved, And then Jeff says, then.
- 31:05Speaker 4: Why the hell? Why the hell would you want him here?
- 31:11Speaker 4: He loves saying what the hell?
- 31:14Speaker 3: And he says in it like I have seen it
- 31:17Speaker 3: on each episode that I've seen this man on since,
- 31:20Speaker 3: same expression, same head, movement, that is this thing right there?
- 31:25Speaker 4: He should write a book that says what the hell
- 31:29Speaker 4: he should it.
- 31:30Speaker 1: It's like it's like, doctor Phil, how's that working out
- 31:32Speaker 1: for you? That's his cat? What the hell is this cat?
- 31:35Speaker 4: Yes?
- 31:35Speaker 2: Okay?
- 31:36Speaker 4: And I hate this so much for Darren because he's
- 31:39Speaker 4: so right.
- 31:40Speaker 3: It is this this later in life, religious people they
- 31:45Speaker 3: see the world as being more important than the people in.
- 31:48Speaker 4: Their household, which goes completely against what.
- 31:52Speaker 3: Christianity is about. Right, you start at home, that's your core,
- 31:57Speaker 3: that's your foundation.
- 31:58Speaker 4: But you ignore them.
- 32:00Speaker 3: Oh he's cracked out, No big deal. But this crack
- 32:02Speaker 3: head over here in a straight corner needs to be
- 32:04Speaker 3: more right. It just doesn't make sense to me at all.
- 32:09Speaker 4: That's that was.
- 32:10Speaker 1: Pretty interesting that we you know that that that Rick
- 32:12Speaker 1: didn't tell us this, right, of course not No, So
- 32:16Speaker 1: Darren says. Another thing is like, when I get out,
- 32:20Speaker 1: I really want to get out of this area where
- 32:22Speaker 1: I've had problems. I want to go and be with
- 32:24Speaker 1: them in New Hampshire. And Jeff says, but what are
- 32:26Speaker 1: your very specific plans for staying off of heroin? And
- 32:30Speaker 1: he goes, well, right now, I wants to box on
- 32:31Speaker 1: and you know, I'm okay with being on it. It's
- 32:33Speaker 1: great actually, and sometimes you know, I abuse it and
- 32:35Speaker 1: I'm just being honest and I'm okay.
- 32:37Speaker 3: He doesn't know how to be clean. No, always, he
- 32:41Speaker 3: needs a crutch all the time. It's something to fall
- 32:43Speaker 3: back on because he's not okay up here.
- 32:47Speaker 2: No, it's so many years of abuse.
- 32:49Speaker 1: It's not his you know, you have to psychologically fix
- 32:52Speaker 1: yourself before, like, yes, your body has.
- 32:54Speaker 4: To be clean before your mind can be clean, you know. Yeah,
- 32:57Speaker 4: And his body has not never been clean, never been clean.
- 33:00Speaker 3: And then he's got to figure out a way that
- 33:03Speaker 3: how to deal with the death of his wife. I mean,
- 33:05Speaker 3: just can you imagine you're planning this baby, your wife
- 33:09Speaker 3: has she probably had pre clampsy. If I'm thinking, right,
- 33:13Speaker 3: she goes to the hospital and you come home with
- 33:15Speaker 3: the baby.
- 33:15Speaker 4: But not with your wife. And then the next thing happens,
- 33:18Speaker 4: you have a girlfriend ode and die right in front
- 33:20Speaker 4: of you. So that's two deaths right there.
- 33:23Speaker 2: Yeah, he does see that.
- 33:24Speaker 1: Concerned about the girlfriend though, honestly, and you know as
- 33:29Speaker 1: a friend of mine she died whatever, but he's probably like,
- 33:32Speaker 1: that's suppressing that as well, you know.
- 33:34Speaker 4: Of course. Yeah, So doctor Jeff says, look.
- 33:37Speaker 1: That pain that you're holding is eating you up, and
- 33:39Speaker 1: it's okay to let it out, brother, And because he
- 33:42Speaker 1: kind of starts to tear up, and he says, not
- 33:44Speaker 1: in here, and Jeff says, yeah, you can't medicate it away.
- 33:49Speaker 4: You have to work through it. You have to go
- 33:51Speaker 4: through it to get to the other side, right. So
- 33:53Speaker 4: he ain't ready for that.
- 33:55Speaker 1: So the unit manager, Oh, I'm just trying to look.
- 33:58Speaker 1: I feel like one of my sorry, I feel like
- 34:01Speaker 1: one of my settings just went wonky. But it didn't,
- 34:04Speaker 1: you know what I mean. I got like a little
- 34:05Speaker 1: alert different.
- 34:06Speaker 2: Okay, thank you.
- 34:07Speaker 1: So the unit manager comes and gets Rick and goes
- 34:11Speaker 1: so you never visited him in prison, like you're never
- 34:14Speaker 1: on this list, and he goes mm hmm, and I
- 34:16Speaker 1: couldn't have come to visit him.
- 34:18Speaker 2: And the guy goes, Okay, well, i'll tell you.
- 34:19Speaker 1: Since he's been here, he's been caught with drugs a
- 34:21Speaker 1: couple of times, like a K two, a synthetic pot,
- 34:24Speaker 1: and also.
- 34:25Speaker 2: He had a dirty P test in February, he said.
- 34:29Speaker 4: You know.
- 34:29Speaker 1: The guy says, look, he's a long way for being
- 34:32Speaker 1: self sufficient and being a little bit sober in here
- 34:35Speaker 1: is bad because when they get out, they go right
- 34:38Speaker 1: back to it and they never dose.
- 34:40Speaker 3: And we've seen that happen on so many, so many times,
- 34:44Speaker 3: so many shows. I mean I used to watch Intervention
- 34:46Speaker 3: and stuff like that as well.
- 34:47Speaker 4: Like it's a little bit off script, but I don't
- 34:51Speaker 4: know if you've ever watched the show Intervention.
- 34:54Speaker 2: He used to come on any Too Close to Home.
- 34:58Speaker 4: And I fell in love with two krukhad others like
- 35:00Speaker 4: you did. How were there they dead? One of them
- 35:03Speaker 4: is dead.
- 35:04Speaker 3: Yeah, one of them was in a wheelchair. Uh, he
- 35:06Speaker 3: had gotten into an ATV accident.
- 35:08Speaker 4: But I totally fell in love, like girl like total
- 35:12Speaker 4: crushing on those two brothers. And yeah, one of them
- 35:15Speaker 4: did die too.
- 35:18Speaker 1: When my husband was in rehabit I went to visit him.
- 35:21Speaker 1: There was a guy there that was like a former
- 35:22Speaker 1: Calvin Clin model.
- 35:24Speaker 4: Oh wow.
- 35:25Speaker 1: And when I tell you, I could his name was Michael.
- 35:27Speaker 1: I couldn't look at him in the eye. He was
- 35:29Speaker 1: so attractive, like I would be like look, I would
- 35:30Speaker 1: like look. And I remember saying, Todave, you didn't tell
- 35:33Speaker 1: me you looked like that. And Davidson was kind of
- 35:36Speaker 1: not important.
- 35:37Speaker 3: Like, uh, I'm here for different reasons to be looking
- 35:42Speaker 3: at the Calvin kleinb model.
- 35:43Speaker 1: Meanwhile, this guy, Michael was a heroin addict and his
- 35:47Speaker 1: brother was a heroin addict. And later, like right when
- 35:51Speaker 1: Dave got out of rehab, like within the month, Michael's
- 35:54Speaker 1: brother died and we and.
- 35:56Speaker 2: We went to the funeral. Oh but yeah, like I
- 35:59Speaker 2: was like, we did.
- 36:01Speaker 4: Oh terrible.
- 36:02Speaker 1: Anyway, I think Dave thinks that Michael has since died,
- 36:06Speaker 1: but we don't know because it's like no, but I've
- 36:08Speaker 1: read articles that the mom has been interviewed in articles
- 36:11Speaker 1: because she was like, uh, you know, they were all
- 36:13Speaker 1: like they were like in a very fancy family, like
- 36:15Speaker 1: in Potomac or somewhere, and very like super fancy. And
- 36:19Speaker 1: the mom has been interviewed a lot about like having
- 36:22Speaker 1: these two sons on heroin. It doesn't matter you're associoconomic status.
- 36:25Speaker 1: It could come for anybody.
- 36:26Speaker 4: And of course yeah it was. It was really the
- 36:29Speaker 4: whole thing was interesting, but really sad because so hot.
- 36:32Speaker 4: So I don't know, I wasted all that hot hotness.
- 36:36Speaker 1: That calm cloan model is okay, So he knew it too.
- 36:40Speaker 1: You could tell when he looked at me. He was like, yeah,
- 36:44Speaker 1: so hot, had that like dark black hair, but like
- 36:46Speaker 1: those blue blue eyes. You know, I can't with the
- 36:49Speaker 1: eyelashes start talking shit, sigh like that. Yeah, my one
- 36:53Speaker 1: little tiny Ovarie I have left. Yeah, okay, so all right,
- 36:58Speaker 1: back to these people. So Rick is like, you know,
- 37:00Speaker 1: it hurts to hear the truth as a father. You
- 37:02Speaker 1: know that he's still using whatever, but it's never too late,
- 37:05Speaker 1: and I hope he can rehabilitate.
- 37:06Speaker 2: That's why I'm here.
- 37:08Speaker 1: Rick didn't sleep well, very loud, too much light. Bet
- 37:10Speaker 1: is not designed for comfort, blah blah blah.
- 37:12Speaker 4: Okay, yes, a sign for prison.
- 37:14Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 37:15Speaker 1: So Darren and Rick are gonna meet with doctor Jeff
- 37:19Speaker 1: to confront their issues, and Darren says, on the outside,
- 37:22Speaker 1: he doesn't have any friends.
- 37:23Speaker 2: Anymore.
- 37:23Speaker 1: He really only has his family and he's not sure
- 37:25Speaker 1: what it'll take to fix this relationship. And Rick says,
- 37:29Speaker 1: what he needs. I need to hear that Darren is
- 37:31Speaker 1: going to be relentless in trying to get sober.
- 37:34Speaker 4: Well, let's as get the fact. As soon as Rick
- 37:37Speaker 4: saw dare and he started crying. Yeah. He Rick cries
- 37:41Speaker 4: a lot during this episode.
- 37:43Speaker 1: Well, it's emotional. He's like, I'm trying to help this kid.
- 37:46Speaker 1: And also it is probably all this shit's my fault.
- 37:49Speaker 3: Yeah. I think being in prison has made him realize
- 37:54Speaker 3: that I contribute it to a lot of this. I
- 37:57Speaker 3: most definitely have not helped the situation at all. I
- 38:00Speaker 3: may be a religious piece of shit.
- 38:02Speaker 4: I think it's all coming to him now because it's
- 38:05Speaker 4: kind of true. He's been he's been a dick.
- 38:08Speaker 1: Yeah, all this is true. So they Yeah, Well, like
- 38:13Speaker 1: he said, he starts crying. Doctor Jeff saunters in the
- 38:16Speaker 1: swaggers in and he says, what are the main issues here?
- 38:21Speaker 1: And Darren says religion, And he says, my dad cared
- 38:25Speaker 1: about other people at the church and didn't care about us,
- 38:28Speaker 1: and and Rick goes, yeah, I probably neglected the family.
- 38:31Speaker 3: Yeah, I didn't think he was going to agree. I
- 38:35Speaker 3: thought that's not true.
- 38:37Speaker 2: That praised Jesus.
- 38:38Speaker 1: You know, yes, good for you, Rick, and he says,
- 38:42Speaker 1: we've had a lot of conflict over the years. And
- 38:45Speaker 1: Jeff says, at one point, your son came to live
- 38:47Speaker 1: with you. What happened and Rick says, well, your mother
- 38:49Speaker 1: didn't ask me, and you just showed up. And then
- 38:52Speaker 1: when you did come, I thought you were in a
- 38:54Speaker 1: better place. And I knew I thought you were in
- 38:58Speaker 1: a better place and knew what you needed to do
- 39:00Speaker 1: to get help. And Darren says, well, when I went there,
- 39:03Speaker 1: I was off drugs, and dad says, but he slowly
- 39:05Speaker 1: started going out to drink and it slowly started creeping in.
- 39:08Speaker 1: And then this girlfriend would come up and they had
- 39:11Speaker 1: a tent outside.
- 39:14Speaker 3: No explanation about why they were in a tent, none
- 39:17Speaker 3: at all, because if you're maybe where they're from, that's normal.
- 39:21Speaker 1: Maybe it was like, if the girlfriend comes, you're not
- 39:23Speaker 1: allowed to stay in the house with the girlfriends, so
- 39:26Speaker 1: you have to be in a tent in the yard.
- 39:28Speaker 1: And Rick says, I didn't tell anybody. I didn't know
- 39:30Speaker 1: what to do. I just disconnected more, you know, from
- 39:33Speaker 1: my son so Jeff says, okay, Darren, what's your plan
- 39:36Speaker 1: for rehab.
- 39:37Speaker 2: You're going to do a twelve step program.
- 39:38Speaker 1: He goes, No, I'm not going to do any kind
- 39:40Speaker 1: of program because when I go there, I only meet
- 39:42Speaker 1: people who want to use drugs.
- 39:43Speaker 2: Well, you got to be looking for that.
- 39:45Speaker 4: You good, you got look for that.
- 39:47Speaker 3: They're not passing out business cards saying hey, if you
- 39:50Speaker 3: need heroin, call me here after twelve pm or whatever
- 39:54Speaker 3: like that.
- 39:54Speaker 4: No, you got to ask. Yeah, and yes, there are
- 39:56Speaker 4: some people that are there and that's exactly what they do.
- 40:00Speaker 4: They're only there. Yeah, you're fulfilling like a court thing
- 40:03Speaker 4: and you have to do it. Yeah.
- 40:05Speaker 1: And Jeff says, okay, So what about the sabox zone
- 40:07Speaker 1: And he says, wellok there might be times where I
- 40:10Speaker 1: want to get high, so I'm just going to abuse
- 40:12Speaker 1: the sabbox zone a little instead of trying to get
- 40:15Speaker 1: something else. And Dad's like, what, I don't understand this,
- 40:19Speaker 1: and Dad goes, Darren goes, I'm not going to pretend
- 40:21Speaker 1: like I'm not going to get high every once in
- 40:23Speaker 1: a while, because I am. I'm gonna get pissed off.
- 40:25Speaker 1: I've got problems, so I'll probably have to get high,
- 40:27Speaker 1: and Dad's like, I didn't come here. What no, Yeah,
- 40:32Speaker 1: So Darren says, you know, this is why I didn't
- 40:35Speaker 1: want to come to your house in the first place.
- 40:37Speaker 1: And now I find out you didn't even want me there.
- 40:40Speaker 1: And Dad goes, we can't help you there. We are
- 40:43Speaker 1: not trained in this, you know. And Darien says, you
- 40:46Speaker 1: have to support me, you have to love me, and
- 40:48Speaker 1: Dad's like, this is triggering to me, like I can't
- 40:50Speaker 1: take it.
- 40:51Speaker 4: Okay.
- 40:53Speaker 1: Jeff goes, you're being pushed and that's good, Like you
- 40:55Speaker 1: need to be triggered, like you know, We've got to
- 40:57Speaker 1: work through this. So Darren says, you have to be
- 40:59Speaker 1: there for me, just being honest, and Jeff says to Darren,
- 41:02Speaker 1: do you have any regrets, like for your horrible behavior
- 41:06Speaker 1: with your family? And he goes, yeah, but there's nothing
- 41:08Speaker 1: I can do about it now.
- 41:10Speaker 3: He's so it's almost like his maturity has been stunted
- 41:15Speaker 3: as well, yes, because he's very immature, as some of
- 41:20Speaker 3: his you know, the things that he says, like that
- 41:23Speaker 3: what you just mentioned, I thought it was totally immature.
- 41:25Speaker 3: That is something like a fifteen year old boy would
- 41:28Speaker 3: say nothing that I can do about it.
- 41:31Speaker 1: So Jeff says, all right, well, here's the homework assignment.
- 41:33Speaker 1: When you feel the need to get high, I want
- 41:34Speaker 1: you to think about coping mechanisms and bring these coping
- 41:37Speaker 1: mechanisms back tomorrow.
- 41:39Speaker 4: Let's discuss it.
- 41:41Speaker 1: And Jeff says, and have you been clean since you've
- 41:43Speaker 1: been here? And he goes no, And Dad's like, oh
- 41:46Speaker 1: my god, me being here with him as a miracle,
- 41:48Speaker 1: and Jeff goes, it's a miracle, but it's part of
- 41:51Speaker 1: your healing.
- 41:51Speaker 4: All right, it's a miracle. He's still alive. It's a miracle.
- 41:54Speaker 4: He's still alive.
- 41:55Speaker 1: Really yeah, So he says, your homework assignment, be present
- 41:59Speaker 1: for your son work. Bye bye, okay, black screen of death.
- 42:03Speaker 1: Rick is being transferred to Darren's unit to keep working
- 42:05Speaker 1: on their issues.
- 42:08Speaker 4: So, so what's his name?
- 42:11Speaker 1: Darren walks out into the yard. He goes, you guys
- 42:14Speaker 1: are so exciting. It looks my dad.
- 42:16Speaker 4: Everybody, here's my dad.
- 42:17Speaker 3: And it's like he brought his dad for donuts and
- 42:20Speaker 3: dass day at elementary school.
- 42:22Speaker 4: Yes, this is my dad.
- 42:24Speaker 2: Meet the parents. Yeah, here's my dad.
- 42:27Speaker 4: He's a religious zealot. Here's your dad.
- 42:28Speaker 2: He's a firefighter.
- 42:29Speaker 1: So yes, Dad meets some of his buddies, all just
- 42:32Speaker 1: normal first day of school, and Darren says, yeah, you know,
- 42:37Speaker 1: this is a bad cell block that I'm in because
- 42:39Speaker 1: it's a lot of gang bangers here and we keep
- 42:41Speaker 1: seeing ching and their faces peeking out and stuff. Darren
- 42:45Speaker 1: talks to him about going to the hole, and the
- 42:49Speaker 1: hole is right below where he and the fishing.
- 42:52Speaker 4: With the sheets, and says, we've seen that before.
- 42:56Speaker 1: Yeah, there's there's a whole show about it, but I
- 42:58Speaker 1: never watched it, so I don't understand.
- 43:00Speaker 4: So I sent it on a couple of a couple.
- 43:03Speaker 4: I may need to stop watching so many.
- 43:07Speaker 3: And drugs because I feel I think at this point
- 43:11Speaker 3: I can go to prison and rule the whole Goddamn you.
- 43:14Speaker 4: I think you would be just fine. I think it
- 43:16Speaker 4: would be okay, yeah saw in prison, Yeah you would,
- 43:21Speaker 4: Yeah you would. Girls.
- 43:24Speaker 1: So the next day, Rick says, I'm hoping Darren comes
- 43:28Speaker 1: up with a better plan that I'm gonna abuse myle box. Okay, yeah,
- 43:32Speaker 1: we're all hoping that Rick he goes I want to
- 43:34Speaker 1: like come at him with a place for my heart.
- 43:37Speaker 1: I want to find a way to help him recover.
- 43:39Speaker 1: So they talk and He says, I want you to know, Darren,
- 43:44Speaker 1: how much the family loves you, and they're gonna have
- 43:47Speaker 1: so many questions about how you were.
- 43:48Speaker 2: And I'm going, well, I don't have any teeth. Anybody
- 43:50Speaker 2: can draw.
- 43:51Speaker 3: Hopefully he didn't have teeth the last time they saw him,
- 43:54Speaker 3: and this won't be such a shocker.
- 43:56Speaker 4: Right, that's true.
- 43:57Speaker 1: And then he goes, you can tell everybody I'm fine,
- 44:01Speaker 1: but I don't want to like make any more plans
- 44:04Speaker 1: with them because like, you know whatever, and then he's
- 44:06Speaker 1: then Rick is like, I've got all these pictures of
- 44:09Speaker 1: you when you were a little boy on the swing
- 44:11Speaker 1: set and all that, and Darren's like, okay, Like, bro,
- 44:13Speaker 1: I'm a heroin addict.
- 44:14Speaker 2: I don't care.
- 44:15Speaker 3: He also he well, he was also surprised. He was like,
- 44:17Speaker 3: I didn't think you had those anymore. I think he
- 44:20Speaker 3: felt like his family totally abandoned him and wanted to
- 44:23Speaker 3: like erase him off the family tree.
- 44:25Speaker 2: Yeah, that was sad.
- 44:26Speaker 4: That's sad time.
- 44:28Speaker 1: Day three thought this was forty eight hours. Okay, I
- 44:31Speaker 1: did too, Matthew math doctor Jeff. He says, Rick, were
- 44:37Speaker 1: you available to your son when his wife passed away?
- 44:41Speaker 1: And Darren starts crying, and Rick says, in retrospect, I
- 44:44Speaker 1: should have been there, but at the time, I was
- 44:47Speaker 1: obsessed with memorizing the Bible and just trying to do
- 44:49Speaker 1: good for other people, and I made other people a priority.
- 44:53Speaker 4: I'm just glad that he's being honest about it. It's
- 44:56Speaker 4: fucking horrible, horror.
- 44:58Speaker 3: How could you not be there for your child? His
- 45:02Speaker 3: wife died in child and his wife died. I mean,
- 45:05Speaker 3: I know how I felt when my daughter had a
- 45:08Speaker 3: very bad breakup. Hey, we were like, you know, like
- 45:11Speaker 3: you're okay, you know, not just for our day, for
- 45:15Speaker 3: like months, being a support system for that, yes, man,
- 45:19Speaker 3: a whole wife, and you read the Bible instead.
- 45:23Speaker 2: I'm like obsessed with memorizing the Bible. Wow, and.
- 45:29Speaker 1: Rick goes, I have a lot of self hatred and
- 45:32Speaker 1: the religion made me feel forgiven. And I was addicted
- 45:36Speaker 1: to that religion and feeling forgiven, and he says. Rick
- 45:40Speaker 1: says his dad was very verbally and physically abusive and
- 45:44Speaker 1: made him feel like he was worth nothing, so the
- 45:47Speaker 1: religion gave him.
- 45:49Speaker 4: The self worth right.
- 45:51Speaker 1: Yes, Jeff says, you because of your trauma, you became
- 45:54Speaker 1: addicted to religion and Darren became addicted to heroin to
- 45:59Speaker 1: deal with his trauma. So both of you were not
- 46:02Speaker 1: so dissimilar, right, So let's wrap it up by coming
- 46:06Speaker 1: up with the plan. I'm like, how are we wrapping
- 46:08Speaker 1: this up? You have had two conversations, and.
- 46:11Speaker 3: Then you have Darren, who's you know, admits that he
- 46:14Speaker 3: has like no self worth, like he basically hates him self.
- 46:18Speaker 3: And I'll tell you this that you know, I used
- 46:21Speaker 3: to teach a class, a court mandated class for teens
- 46:25Speaker 3: who have been caught using drugs and like repeat offenders.
- 46:28Speaker 3: So they had to take my core my courses to
- 46:31Speaker 3: go back to the judge to you know, get off
- 46:34Speaker 3: probation or whatever they were on. And so many of
- 46:37Speaker 3: them the route was self hate, self hate. And some
- 46:41Speaker 3: of these kids were like fucking rich, like anything they
- 46:45Speaker 3: wanted they can get them.
- 46:47Speaker 4: Having money for drugs was like nothing.
- 46:49Speaker 3: Yeah, but for different reasons, they were filled with so
- 46:52Speaker 3: much self hate and that just was the root of it.
- 46:55Speaker 3: And I think that's just I think self hate started
- 46:58Speaker 3: with Darren when his dad scream you're.
- 46:59Speaker 2: Not my room son.
- 47:01Speaker 4: Uh yeah, yeah yeah, he was like, okay, well why
- 47:04Speaker 4: didn't my real dad want me? And where is that guy. Yeah,
- 47:07Speaker 4: my real dad didn't want me. Now you're saying that
- 47:10Speaker 4: you don't want me.
- 47:11Speaker 2: Just yeah, god yeah.
- 47:15Speaker 1: So he says, Darren, what's your plan? And he goes,
- 47:18Speaker 1: I'm gonna get away from this area and I'm gonna
- 47:20Speaker 1: stay on my meds. And Jeff goes, but are you
- 47:23Speaker 1: still planning to it? Are you still planning to abuse
- 47:25Speaker 1: your meds? And he goes, I don't want to do it,
- 47:29Speaker 1: but it's probably gonna happen.
- 47:33Speaker 4: And it's not good here. It is not good at least?
- 47:36Speaker 4: Lie shit is it?
- 47:37Speaker 2: But you don't know?
- 47:38Speaker 3: He's being honest if you did honest, see, I mean,
- 47:41Speaker 3: if nothing else, his ass is honest, too honest.
- 47:45Speaker 4: But I mean, how else are you gonna get the
- 47:47Speaker 4: help you need? You can't. It's like going to therapy
- 47:49Speaker 4: and you lie.
- 47:50Speaker 1: Right, that's a great point, yeah, yeah, yeah, And so
- 47:53Speaker 1: Jeff goes, are you gonna you still? I think you
- 47:55Speaker 1: shouldn't just turn away from a twelve step program because
- 47:58Speaker 1: you had some bad experiences you She still look into that,
- 48:02Speaker 1: and he goes, do you think you'll be able to
- 48:04Speaker 1: stop using before you get out? And he goes, no,
- 48:07Speaker 1: I don't think I could stop using in here and
- 48:08Speaker 1: not right away. I mean, I could try, but I
- 48:11Speaker 1: don't think it's gonna work. And Rick's like, I can't
- 48:13Speaker 1: deal with this kid, like he doesn't even.
- 48:14Speaker 2: Want to help himself.
- 48:17Speaker 4: And Darren goes, Dad addiction doesn't go away, like this
- 48:20Speaker 4: is fucking ridiculous. You're not hearing.
- 48:22Speaker 1: The problem is Darren has never been in like an
- 48:26Speaker 1: impatient ninety days right up to one year program where
- 48:29Speaker 1: he is disconnected from He has no way to get
- 48:34Speaker 1: drugs because if people get drugs there, they get caught
- 48:37Speaker 1: and they get kicked out.
- 48:38Speaker 3: You know, right, he probably hasn't. I'm thinking he's not
- 48:41Speaker 3: had like a job, job. He probably can't afford it.
- 48:44Speaker 3: I doubt he's got insurance for something like that.
- 48:46Speaker 1: But you could go to like a state run program,
- 48:48Speaker 1: and it's the bottom of the barrel that you could
- 48:50Speaker 1: do it, especially if you're a peat a vender like this,
- 48:52Speaker 1: you know, okay, okay, and so anyway, Jeff says, can
- 48:58Speaker 1: you be there for him when he's released and starts
- 49:01Speaker 1: his journey towards wellness And Rick goes, I'm gonna have
- 49:05Speaker 1: to see the action, like I have to see you
- 49:06Speaker 1: work on being clean or it's not gonna work out.
- 49:09Speaker 1: I need you to be the loving man and son
- 49:12Speaker 1: I want you to be, and not the drug.
- 49:14Speaker 4: Addict, not the father.
- 49:16Speaker 1: He didn't mention being a father, and Darren's because he's
- 49:21Speaker 1: got one sad one to seven children. We don't know
- 49:23Speaker 1: about it, right, And Darren says, well, I need to
- 49:26Speaker 1: see you as my fucking father, and literally at that, Jeff,
- 49:32Speaker 1: in the words of Sean Robinson of ninety Day Fiance, says, well,
- 49:35Speaker 1: we're not gonna solve it today, guys, good luck.
- 49:38Speaker 3: They only paid me. They only paid me till four
- 49:41Speaker 3: o'clock at four to one. I'm not making money. And
- 49:44Speaker 3: if it don't make money, it don't make sense.
- 49:46Speaker 4: So God bless. That was crazy, and that's gonna be
- 49:52Speaker 4: how each episode is. I'm sure he's gonna be the
- 49:55Speaker 4: therapist for the whole season, but it's like we get
- 49:57Speaker 4: ten minutes of doctor Jeff and then he's like bye bye, Yeah,
- 50:03Speaker 4: So I have some assassin to do. I have assassin
- 50:06Speaker 4: to do on the real house stuff. I tell him,
- 50:08Speaker 4: like I was all light. I think that's way more
- 50:11Speaker 4: his speed.
- 50:12Speaker 1: So Rick says, Darren can be deceiving and he could
- 50:16Speaker 1: just go back to the life of drugs and I
- 50:18Speaker 1: expect and he expects results from me, but I expect
- 50:21Speaker 1: results from him, and I'm gonna have to hold him
- 50:24Speaker 1: to it. It's not going to be either at this point.
- 50:26Speaker 1: It's a matter of life and death.
- 50:27Speaker 4: Okay, right.
- 50:29Speaker 2: Six months later, now I do like this aspect of
- 50:32Speaker 2: the show. Okay, Okay, my.
- 50:34Speaker 4: Heart dropped me too. Yeah.
- 50:37Speaker 1: Six months later, Darren is getting ready to go. He's
- 50:39Speaker 1: having having his last peanut butter milkshak.
- 50:42Speaker 4: He shaved his ou. Oh that sounded good, milkshake, yum
- 50:47Speaker 4: me not in prison. Well, here's the thing.
- 50:51Speaker 2: We don't know how they made that.
- 50:54Speaker 4: Yeah, but still a peanut butter milk shank, delicioso.
- 51:00Speaker 1: And so he shaved his head, and his one buddy
- 51:04Speaker 1: out in the yard area goes, man, do good. A
- 51:08Speaker 1: lot of people get out and don't make it. People
- 51:10Speaker 1: are dying out there, bro, it's no joke. So this
- 51:12Speaker 1: sounds like maybe like a like a a prison friend,
- 51:16Speaker 1: an accountability partner. It's like, don't go out there and
- 51:19Speaker 1: do heroin. Yeah, cause he's he's like, I know this
- 51:22Speaker 1: is my eighth time here. Yes, So he's like me,
- 51:25Speaker 1: He's like, I just got a face tattoo. I'm here
- 51:27Speaker 1: for a long time.
- 51:28Speaker 4: Yeah, So.
- 51:30Speaker 1: He tells the buddy, He tells that guy he's he says,
- 51:34Speaker 1: I'm ready. I'm ready to stay sober. He tells us
- 51:36Speaker 1: he started meditation, he started yoga. He's going to try
- 51:40Speaker 1: to find a place to do yoga on the outside.
- 51:42Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure in New Hampshire you couldn't uh swing
- 51:45Speaker 1: a dead cat and had a yoga studio.
- 51:47Speaker 3: It's all, yeah, just don't go into yoga and human design.
- 51:51Speaker 3: Just please, no, human design, don't do.
- 51:54Speaker 4: Because sometimes those some of it, sometimes those go hand
- 51:58Speaker 4: in hand.
- 51:59Speaker 2: I don't thing.
- 52:00Speaker 1: Darren is at a position to human design anybody. He
- 52:02Speaker 1: can't even human design himself, okay, but he.
- 52:06Speaker 4: Could draw all the pictures, the human design pictures.
- 52:10Speaker 2: That's true.
- 52:11Speaker 4: Good at that.
- 52:11Speaker 1: And he says he's gonna be meditating on his own,
- 52:14Speaker 1: and he's thinking about volunteering at a recovery center. He
- 52:17Speaker 1: feels great, and he's hoping he and his dad can
- 52:19Speaker 1: work on their issues and he helps. His dad will
- 52:21Speaker 1: be there for him when he needs him. He doesn't
- 52:24Speaker 1: never want to come back to prison, and he needs
- 52:27Speaker 1: that family support.
- 52:28Speaker 4: So he walks out.
- 52:29Speaker 1: His dad is there he's in a blessed shirt of
- 52:32Speaker 1: course because on brand and Dad says, I have to
- 52:36Speaker 1: support him and be emotionally connected and be patient with him.
- 52:40Speaker 1: I have to not abandon him until he starts stealing
- 52:42Speaker 1: shit in my house, and then.
- 52:44Speaker 4: We're gonna have to change the problems. Yeah, he says, I.
- 52:47Speaker 1: Have to help him, get him on the right path.
- 52:48Speaker 1: If he falters, I have to keep encouraging him. And
- 52:52Speaker 1: the whole family is there to greet him.
- 52:54Speaker 4: It's good to see you.
- 52:54Speaker 2: Well, what happened to your teeth?
- 52:56Speaker 3: So? Can you guess how many times I teared up
- 52:59Speaker 3: and had to have a napkin to wipe away my
- 53:02Speaker 3: tears throughing this whole episode six bingo okayna zero, including
- 53:10Speaker 3: this scene, this scene right here tire.
- 53:13Speaker 2: One week later, I was like, oh shit, Oh.
- 53:18Speaker 4: He's fucking odd or something like that. It's scary, scary.
- 53:23Speaker 1: One week later, Darren has been busy with family time,
- 53:26Speaker 1: he got his job back. Let's just just know we're
- 53:29Speaker 1: doing what The transition has been easy. He feels blessed.
- 53:34Speaker 1: Dad is very proud of him. It's great having his
- 53:36Speaker 1: son back together. They say this experience was the seed.
- 53:40Speaker 1: They have a little sprout going. All right, I'm gonna
- 53:43Speaker 1: need to see six months after this.
- 53:45Speaker 4: Yeah, we don't need one week.
- 53:47Speaker 3: I mean a week is okay, it's something, but we
- 53:54Speaker 3: need like six months out.
- 53:56Speaker 2: We need six months out. We did six months out.
- 53:58Speaker 1: And since we've never seen this show, we don't know
- 54:01Speaker 1: if at the end of the entire series they'll give
- 54:03Speaker 1: us updates on everybody.
- 54:05Speaker 4: I hope so. I hope so too.
- 54:07Speaker 2: And if not, I'm gonna have.
- 54:08Speaker 4: To call doctor Jeff. I'm have to call doctor Jeff
- 54:11Speaker 4: and file.
- 54:12Speaker 3: A formal complaint and give him a double snap. Okay,
- 54:15Speaker 3: you just get ready for some sss because he's not
- 54:17Speaker 3: gonna you charge him up like that. Okay, and you
- 54:20Speaker 3: might as well get ready because he gonna call you
- 54:22Speaker 3: a bitch.
- 54:23Speaker 4: So I'm just saying, what the hell, don't call me hell? Yes, exactly.
- 54:32Speaker 1: So guys, we are covering this. This will come out
- 54:34Speaker 1: every Friday on the Free Feed. It comes out on
- 54:36Speaker 1: Thursday A and E ten pm Eastern, and so watch it.
- 54:38Speaker 4: Let us know what you think.
- 54:40Speaker 1: Keisha and I do love to talk about prison and inmates.
- 54:43Speaker 1: We're not sure how this became our thing, but it is.
- 54:46Speaker 4: Yeah. I was telling dand that we were doing a
- 54:48Speaker 4: new show. He's like, what's the new show?
- 54:50Speaker 3: So he goes, so, y'all might as well just have
- 54:53Speaker 3: a whole section of Pink Shade that is devoted to
- 54:56Speaker 3: nothing but prison shows.
- 54:58Speaker 4: I'm like, did we really do that many prison shows?
- 55:00Speaker 2: But you know, we also do Love is Blind, and
- 55:02Speaker 2: that starts out as a prison.
- 55:03Speaker 4: Show because they're all locked up. Yeah, they can't contact
- 55:08Speaker 4: their family and friends. Yeah, I don't know. Maybe we've
- 55:13Speaker 4: got something going on up here that was fascinating.
- 55:18Speaker 2: It's fascinating. It's fascinating.
- 55:20Speaker 1: Did you ever have you ever watched a whole season
- 55:23Speaker 1: of Sixty Days In because it is it is really
- 55:26Speaker 1: interesting because the people from the outside going and pretend
- 55:28Speaker 1: to be prisoners, and it's it's a lot about not
- 55:31Speaker 1: getting caught that you're that you're pretending to be a prisoner.
- 55:34Speaker 1: It's a lot about like I think they got me
- 55:36Speaker 1: because I was like, Yeah, what do these people think
- 55:38Speaker 1: these cameras are in this prison for.
- 55:39Speaker 3: They got to know somebody else, Yeah, they got to
- 55:42Speaker 3: be doing like they figured someone's do some kind of
- 55:45Speaker 3: prison documentary.
- 55:46Speaker 4: Yeah, something telling them that after like ten seasons, wouldn't
- 55:50Speaker 4: they figure it out?
- 55:51Speaker 2: Like, hey, wait a minute, well.
- 55:53Speaker 3: Mary kay no, because they don't watch that show. And
- 55:57Speaker 3: then it's not like the ones that get released who
- 55:59Speaker 3: wash it show? Right, the ones who are still in
- 56:01Speaker 3: prison is hey, just so you know, if camera them
- 56:05Speaker 3: in there, they're doing this show.
- 56:07Speaker 4: Beat the fuck out of that person, Okay, like.
- 56:10Speaker 1: Now, or don't be the fuck out of that person
- 56:12Speaker 1: because it'll be on camera. Get dummy, true.
- 56:17Speaker 4: You, guys.
- 56:18Speaker 1: Keisha and I are also covering Lovers Blind on the
- 56:20Speaker 1: Prime Feed and like I said, those episodes won't come
- 56:24Speaker 1: out as quick as they were because they're not giving
- 56:26Speaker 1: us screeners anymore.
- 56:27Speaker 4: So oh well, ripped to that.
- 56:29Speaker 1: That was fun while it lasted, and recovering Match for
- 56:32Speaker 1: Abroad and of course I'll love After lock Up is
- 56:36Speaker 1: on Mondays, also covering ninety day HGA with Kimberly, Hunt
- 56:40Speaker 1: for Love with Amy, ninety day UK. Did I say
- 56:44Speaker 1: that lot's going on, guys, Lots going on, So just
- 56:48Speaker 1: sure you're checking the free feed, which is this one,
- 56:50Speaker 1: and also the paid feed. Everything it's runs the Gamut,
- 56:55Speaker 1: I do, Bravo, I do everything. So if your New
- 56:58Speaker 1: Year for this show, God bless yes, I'll be very
- 57:01Speaker 1: interesting to see if we get the doctor Jeff next week,
- 57:03Speaker 1: or if it's going to be a new therapist every.
- 57:04Speaker 3: Week, well, I'm like it has to be each week
- 57:10Speaker 3: with each person like different charges.
- 57:12Speaker 4: Like I don't think they're all gonna be drug.
- 57:13Speaker 1: Related because we do have some women on here, and
- 57:15Speaker 1: we know it's ten episodes in this family, so it's
- 57:17Speaker 1: going to be a different person each week, right Lord,
- 57:19Speaker 1: Please at episode ten, let's get to recap what happens
- 57:22Speaker 1: to all these people.
- 57:22Speaker 4: But they won't. I'm trying to think, usually like, uh,
- 57:27Speaker 4: what is the inmates roommate? Do we get like a
- 57:31Speaker 4: recap at the end season, But that's.
- 57:34Speaker 1: Not a different person each episode, so we might just true,
- 57:38Speaker 1: we might get the one week later and they're like,
- 57:40Speaker 1: forget it, we got to move on.
- 57:41Speaker 2: To the next week.
- 57:41Speaker 4: But I hope not. I hope not. I guess we'll see.
- 57:44Speaker 1: I don't have to check the reddit and not always,
- 57:46Speaker 1: of course, not always gets tearing. Everybody, please make sure
- 57:50Speaker 1: you're following Kisha. She has a great podcast called The
- 57:53Speaker 1: Libra Lounge with Keisha. She puts out one.
- 57:55Speaker 4: To two episodes a week. Yes wee feet, yes, and
- 57:58Speaker 4: please also be followed me.
- 58:00Speaker 1: I follow both of us on social media at the
- 58:02Speaker 1: Leader for Landage Akisha and also Peking Shaped the Pot.
- 58:04Speaker 1: And we'll see you back here next week to talk
- 58:07Speaker 1: about Family lock Up Episode two.
- 58:09Speaker 4: By bye,
