Welcome to Bible Chat, where we have devotional conversations

rooted in scripture and relevant for today.

  May 1st. Wisdom beyond understanding.
• 0:13
Have you ever hated being corrected?
• 0:15
Not because the person was wrong, but because deep down you
• 0:18
knew they were right? That moment can sting.
• 0:21
It can feel embarrassing. It can feel like someone exposed
• 0:25
a part of you that you were trying to hide.
• 0:27
But sometimes the correction we want to avoid is actually the
• 0:31
doorway God uses to make us wiser.
• 0:34
Proverbs chapter 15 verses 10:50 says correction is grievous to
• 0:39
one who forsakes the way and one who hates reproof will die.
• 0:43
She all in Abaddon lie open before the Lord.
• 0:46
How much more the hearts of the children of man and 1st
• 0:50
Corinthians chapter one verse 25 says, for the foolishness of God
• 0:54
is wiser than men and the weakness of God is stronger than
• 0:58
  men. Then first Corinthians chapter
• 1:01
one verse 27 says, But God chose what is foolish in the world to
• 1:05
shame the wise. God chose what is weak in the
• 1:08
world to shame the strong. That means God sees deeper than
• 1:12
your image, your reputation, your grades, your followers,
• 1:15
  your performance, or your confidence.
• 1:18
He sees your heart and because He loves you, He does not leave
• 1:22
you stuck in pride, confusion, or self deception.
• 1:25
His wisdom may not always feel comfortable, but it always leads
• 1:29
to life. The world tells you to prove
• 1:31
yourself, defend yourself, and never look weak.
• 1:34
But God says weakness surrendered to Him can become
• 1:37
strength. A teachable heart is not a weak
• 1:39
heart, it is a wise heart. When you can receive correction
• 1:43
without crumbling, listen without fighting and trust God
• 1:47
even when His way feels upside down.
• 1:49
You are growing in wisdom that the world cannot give.
• 1:53
So today, do not be afraid of being corrected.
• 1:56
Do not be ashamed of feeling small.
• 1:58
God often does His greatest work through humble hearts that are
• 2:01
willing to be shaped. Let's pray.
• 2:05
Heavenly Father, help me not to resist your correction or run
• 2:08
from your wisdom. Give me a humble heart that can
• 2:11
listen, learn, and grow. When I feel weak, remind me that
• 2:15
Your strength is greater than anything I lack.
• 2:18
Teach me to trust Your ways even when they do not make sense to
• 2:21
me. Shape my heart, guide my steps,
• 2:24
and make me wise in your sight. In Jesus name, Amen.
• 2:27
What if the battles hitting your family are not random and your
• 2:31
home can become a place where darkness loses every right to
• 2:33
stay? The Secured Home is a powerful

Now I invite you to spend time with God in today's three-year
• 3:34
Bible reading plan. Proverbs chapter 15 verses 10 to
• 3:39
11 World English Bible. There is stern discipline for
• 3:43
one who forsakes the way. Whoever hates reproof shall die.
• 3:47
She all and Abaddon are before Yahweh.
• 3:49
How much more than the hearts of the children of men.
• 3:52
First Corinthians chapters one to two world English Bible.
• 3:57
Paul called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of
• 4:00
God and our brother saw scenes to the Assembly of God which is
• 4:04
at Corinth. Those who are sanctified in
• 4:06
Christ Jesus called Saints with all who call on the name of our
• 4:11
Lord Jesus Christ in every place, both theirs and ours.
• 4:15
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus
• 4:18
Christ. I always thank my God concerning
• 4:22
you for the grace of God which was given you in Christ Jesus,
• 4:26
that in everything you were enriched in Him in all speech
• 4:30
and all knowledge, even as the testimony of Christ was
• 4:33
confirmed in you, so that you come behind in no gift, waiting
• 4:37
for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will also
• 4:41
confirm you until the end, blameless in the day of our Lord
• 4:44
Jesus Christ. God is faithful through whom you
• 4:48
were called into the fellowship of His Son Jesus Christ our
• 4:51
Lord. Now I beg you, brothers, through
• 4:54
the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the
• 4:58
same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that
• 5:02
you be perfected together in the same mind and in the same
• 5:05
judgment. For it has been reported to me
• 5:08
concerning you, my brothers, by those who are from Chloe's
• 5:11
household, that there are contentions among you.
• 5:15
Now I mean this, that each one of you says I follow Paul, I
• 5:18
follow Apollo's, I follow Cephas, and I follow Christ.
• 5:22
Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you, or
• 5:26
were you baptized into the name of Paul?
• 5:28
I thank God that I baptized none of you except Crispus and Gaius,
• 5:32
so that no one should say that I had baptized you into my own
• 5:35
name. I also baptized the household of
• 5:39
Stefanas. Besides them, I don't know
• 5:41
whether I baptized any other. For Christ sent me not to
• 5:44
baptize, but to preach the good news, not in wisdom of words, so
• 5:49
that the cross of Christ wouldn't be made void.
• 5:53
For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are
• 5:55
dying, but to us who are being saved.
• 5:57
It is the power of God. For it is written, I will
• 6:01
destroy the wisdom of the wise. I will bring the discernment of
• 6:05
the discerning to nothing. Where is the wise?
• 6:08
Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this
• 6:10
age? Hasn't God made foolish the
• 6:12
wisdom of this world? For seeing that in the wisdom of
• 6:16
God, the world through its wisdom didn't know God.
• 6:19
It was God's good pleasure through the foolishness of the
• 6:22
preaching to save those who believe.
• 6:24
For Jews ask for signs. Greeks seek after wisdom, but we
• 6:28
preach Christ crucified. A stumbling block to Jews and
• 6:31
foolishness to Greeks. But to those who are called both
• 6:34
Jews and Greeks, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of
• 6:39
God. Because the foolishness of God
• 6:41
is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than
• 6:45
men. For you see, your calling,
• 6:47
brothers, that not many are wise according to the flesh, not many
• 6:51
mighty, and not many noble. But God chose the foolish things
• 6:55
of the world that he might put to shame those who are wise.
• 6:59
God chose the weak things of the world that he might put to shame
• 7:03
the things that are strong. God chose the lowly things of
• 7:06
the world and the things that are despised, and the things
• 7:10
that don't exist that he might bring to nothing.
• 7:12
The things that exist that no flesh should boast before God.
• 7:17
Because of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who was made to us,
• 7:20
wisdom from God, and righteousness, and
• 7:22
sanctification and redemption, that as it is written, He who
• 7:26
boasts, let him boast in the Lord.
• 7:29
When I came to you, brothers, I didn't come with excellence of
• 7:32
speech or of wisdom, proclaiming to you the testimony of God, for
• 7:37
I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus
• 7:40
Christ and Him crucified. I was with you in weakness, in
• 7:44
fear, and in much trembling. My speech and my preaching were
• 7:48
not in persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of
• 7:52
the Spirit and of power, that your faith wouldn't stand in the
• 7:55
wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
• 7:59
We speak wisdom, however, among those who are full grown, yet a
• 8:03
wisdom not of this world, nor of the rulers of this world who are
• 8:06
coming to nothing. But we speak God's wisdom in a
• 8:10
mystery, the wisdom that has been hidden, which God for
• 8:14
ordained before the world's for our glory, which none of the
• 8:17
rulers of this world has known. For had they known it, they
• 8:21
wouldn't have crucified the Lord of glory.
• 8:24
But as it is written, things which an eye didn't see, and an
• 8:27
ear didn't hear, which didn't enter into the heart of man,
• 8:29
these God has prepared for those who love Him.
• 8:32
But to us God revealed them through the Spirit.
• 8:37
For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of
• 8:40
God. For who among men knows the
• 8:43
things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in
• 8:45
him? Even so, no one knows the things
• 8:49
of God except God's Spirit. But we received not the spirit
• 8:53
of the world, but the Spirit which is from God, that we might
• 8:56
know the things that were freely given to us by God.
• 9:00
We also speak these things, not in words which man's wisdom
• 9:04
teaches, but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing
• 9:07
  spiritual things with spiritual things.
• 9:10
Now the natural man doesn't receive the things of God's
• 9:13
Spirit, for they are foolishness to him, and he can't know them
• 9:17
  because they are spiritually discerned.
• 9:20
But he who is spiritual discerns all things, and he himself is to
• 9:24
be judged by no one, for who has known the mind of the Lord, that
• 9:27
he should instruct him. But we have Christ's mind.
