A Kenmore Air seaplane made a dramatic emergency water landing near Sucia Island after hitting severe thunderstorms, but all ten passengers survived thanks to quick action by nearby boaters. The pilot radioed ahead to warn of dangerous conditions and chose to ditch in a safe bay while waiting out the storm. Though the plane crashed into rocks and caught fire, no lives were lost — two suffered serious injuries, eight minor ones.
