- 0:00You ever feel like you're having a really good day. Maybe right now you're
- 0:02driving to work thinking, hey, today isn't so bad. That's kind of
- 0:05how I've been today, really great. It's a great place to be.
- 0:08But yesterday I was in that exact place, Amanda. Work was good,
- 0:12after work, I was productive, healing good. And then suddenly everything unraveled.
- 0:17Ugh, never good, they say. When it rains, it poor
- 0:20us. And it started pouring as I was leaving my home to go help
- 0:23my brother Bobby selling his house. So he needed to help move in some
- 0:26couches. Okay, Now, obviously nobody's jumping with joy to move couches,
- 0:31especially when they're not yours, but you know, happy to help, and
- 0:35he had just helped me move like two months ago, so I'm obligated paying
- 0:38it forward. Yep. So I get in my niece on Ultima, which
- 0:41I talk often about. You know, I enjoy my twenty elevenies on Ultima
- 0:46pretty high miles. But boy, she still runs good, except yesterday doesn't
- 0:50still doesn't start. Now. I think it's probably just a battery issue.
- 0:54But long story short, I mean, I wouldn't never think that the Ultimate
- 0:58is ready to be on its last life. Well, not a chance you
- 1:00look at anything. Well, that old plow horse, that thing's going to
- 1:03run till twenty thirty five. Yeah, so I have to go get my
- 1:07wife's vehicle and jump in, which you know, not a real handy guy,
- 1:11so that's always just an operation. Okay. So then I'm like,
- 1:15all right, well, since I'm taking care of the old Ultima, why
- 1:18don't I stop and fill up my tires because I've had the tire low pressure
- 1:22light on for three weeks. So I stop at a gas station, I
- 1:26get out of my car, I go into the gas station, grab some
- 1:27water, come back out. Door is locked. Stop, go round to
- 1:32the other side. Passenger door is locked. Well, the car is running,
- 1:34car is running, and the keys are locked inside of it. How
- 1:38the heck does that even happen? No? Had you already put air in
- 1:42the tires yet? No? I hadn't got there yet. And now that's
- 1:46very much in the back burner. That probably won't happen again for another three
- 1:49weeks. So now what do you do? You know? Of course,
- 1:53oh, I'll get my wife to bring the spare keys over. Yeah.
- 1:55Do you think I have spare keys, Amanda? I would think absolutely now
- 2:00you've gotten through it. I used to do it, trust me, before
- 2:02the Ultima, you know, back before like fobs and push starts. I
- 2:07locked my keys in. I had Kurt's lock and key on speed dial,
- 2:10and it was a you know, conveniently always on the weekend when it's the
- 2:14most expensive YEP, for sure. So it's been some time since I've had
- 2:16to deal with this. So I called my brother, thinking, I don't
- 2:20know, do you have anything to you know, jam down my window?
- 2:23So my brother shows up with a coat hanger. Oh nice and old school.
- 2:27And at this point though it's not you don't really care if you're going
- 2:30to damage the Ultimate? Is that what we're doing? That? That's the
- 2:31beauty of the Ultimate? You know, Oh you backed into a post,
- 2:35Oh you tore up the cel on your vehicle's door. It doesn't matter.
- 2:38It's a twenty eleven Ultimate. Did you think about just pushing it over to
- 2:42a lot and saying how much can I get for it? That could have
- 2:45been a better option, but uh well, so we ended up jamming this
- 2:49coat hanger in there. And it was a fun little game for a little
- 2:51bit there. You know, you kind of felt like you were playing that
- 2:53old a claw machine game for sure. Eventually we knew it wasn't gonna work.
- 2:57It just wasn't gonna happen. So I called the West Fargo Police.
- 3:00Is a last limb effort because I you know, I used to hear that
- 3:01some police stations would do. Yeah, we used to be able to do
- 3:04that in what Dina Deer Creek bike. But we're dealing with the Fargo Moorhead
- 3:07area now and other stuff going on. Change her, yes, and trust
- 3:10me, the last thing I want to do is take up a police officer's
- 3:14time. That was the first thing because you didn't call it lock and key
- 3:16service. Well you called the police. That costs money? Are you crazyike?
- 3:23So believe it or not, Amanda. While Fargo does not Wes Fargo
- 3:27still miraculously does come in unlock your vehicle for you. Oh that is so
- 3:32nice. So Officer Hannah, lovely woman who showed up and was just so
- 3:38kind and so just understanding, and I was very apologetic, but she was
- 3:42able to do that little inflatable thing and so we got my keys out.
- 3:45So now it's on to get the couches out of the basement. What time
- 3:49are we at? It's like we're getting on seven o'clock. Okay, it's
- 3:53everything already. So now we're getting the couches out, and you know,
- 3:55not any easy get out, Like me and my brother are just wrap old
- 4:00try it. You know, one of the things where you're in a basement
- 4:01and it's like now you're trying to play Tetris to get there. If this,
- 4:05if this couch didn't get down here somehow, I would be very sure
- 4:09that it would be impossible to get out, and I filled the house around
- 4:12it. They had to have I mean, it had to come in through
- 4:13a window or a chimney or something, because there's just no way this couch
- 4:15could possibly fit through this staircase. We're all, it's you know, a
- 4:19classic friend Pamatama. You don't know what I'm talking about, No, I
- 4:24do, Okay. So eventually, after tearing pretty much through the sheet rock
- 4:29with the couch, we were able to get it out and we get out
- 4:31to the vehicle and I'm you know, loaning the couch out. Now the
- 4:33police are at the house. I'm like, what, okay, what is
- 4:36what? Apparently there's a neighbor with an issue going on, and so it's
- 4:40just like stop, just like what Okay, I think it happened. Came
- 4:44back like hey bikeyos ten bucks or something. But that was the awkward thing.
- 4:46When she was leaving, I'm like, do you tip a police officer?
- 4:48Like She's like anything else. I'm like, you could have bought our
- 4:51dinner. You could have done anything. I said, hey, thank you
- 4:55very much for what you do. Okay, so you still have a low
- 4:58pressure tire, you have a read this garbage and the chances of this happening
- 5:02nick at the day are really good. I mean, because you haven't done
- 5:05anything to change this. Okay, Well, now you're being mean. No,
- 5:09No, I'm saying I'm nervous about your life. We have done nothing
- 5:12but to change it. No, what you expect. What I'm saying is
- 5:14you should probably make a phone call and get a new battery. It's very
- 5:17cold. I'm not going to do that like a Manda in the morning Big
- 5:21eight point seven that was just ready hot today. Now Amanda Stills the Sea.
- 5:30Let's see. Well, the Queen of Christmas is going out on tour,
- 5:36but she is also working on a brand new album. Right carry back
- 5:41in the studio, she says music is on the horizon. She's been in
- 5:44the studio for the past three or four weeks writing new songs. She said,
- 5:46yesterday I was in the studio with a choir working on a new song.
- 5:51It is so exciting she did release an album because I'm my gosh,
- 5:55we haven't had one for her in real life. She hasn't had a song
- 5:58since two thousand and two. I thought twenty eighteen she released an entire album
- 6:01called Caution. Don't even know any of the songs that were on there,
- 6:04and few do. It's just the thing with these nostalgic artists. They had
- 6:09their time. They gave us a lot of songs that we have a ton
- 6:11of memories around, and it's just it's just there's very few that can release
- 6:14new music and have people care. Taylor Swift truly one of the only right
- 6:18now. Right but she's only thirty three, you know that she started so
- 6:23young, though, Yeah, very few bands, like for example, my
- 6:26favorite band, Blank Win eighty two. They are the exception. They just
- 6:29released an album thirty years into the career and it went number one. Amanda
- 6:32don't even know any of the songs though, Yeah, but you're you're stupid
- 6:36at it. So that's so out of my realm. Well, I can't
- 6:40wait for the new album, all right, timba Land, I don't know
- 6:44what he was thinking. He did say, by the way, he was
- 6:46just trying to get people's attention because he is backtracking. He collaborated with Justin
- 6:50Timberlake on crimea River. He sat down for an interview after Britney's book was
- 6:55released and quote when asked about it, he said, I wanted to call
- 7:00and say JT you gotta put a muzzle on that, referring to Britney spears.
- 7:06It went viral. People were disgusted, as they should be. After
- 7:11the backlash, she did respond with an apology. I felt like it was
- 7:15one of those Justin Timberlake dialed him up from Mexico and said, hey,
- 7:18can you do me a favor and shut this down because this is ridiculous.
- 7:23We're not saying anything that's kind of our approach here, but I mean,
- 7:26that's stupid. There's a stupid thing to say. And it's one of those
- 7:28things where you know, does he really think he should muzzle her? Like
- 7:30put an actual muzzle on her, and of course not just a figure of
- 7:33speech, but it's aggressive, it's you know, it's not cool. It's
- 7:38not, especially given the fact that you know, some may say she had
- 7:40a muzzle on her for thirteen years in her cares. Yeah, exactly.
- 7:44So there's just there's a lot there. But I will tell you, Timbaland,
- 7:46I would like to put a muzzle on you. What does that make
- 7:49you any better? I medad you know what I mean? It's just ridiculous.
- 7:53Anybody ever tell you two wrongs don't make a right one percent? Pike?
- 7:57Yes, hey, you know, I think growing up people probably told
- 7:59me to put muzzle on it. Like, you're not going to get paid
- 8:01to have a mouth on you. I'm not gonna look at you now.
- 8:05Yeah. I'm not gonna sit here and say we should cancel Timberland, because
- 8:07if you took everything I've ever said, you know, and put it like
- 8:09on a transcript and showed the world, I'd be arrested, you know what
- 8:13I'm saying. So I'm not going to ask like I haven't said things that
- 8:15are ick. Of course it's ick. It's the fact that he did it
- 8:18on purpose to be relevant and make he didn't try it's because that's how he
- 8:26talks in his private time, and so he accidentally said it. I private
- 8:28about this. That's what I'm saying. It accidentally slipped. Everybody has the
- 8:33way they speak in private and then the way they would speak publicly. He
- 8:35wasn't doing it. Timberland at this point is not trying to get clout.
- 8:39He said. He admitted that he was just trying to say it to get
- 8:41people's attention. That's just a stupid apology. He's not sorry. We can
- 8:46agree to disagree. Bike the words of Kevin McAllister to Buzz, You're not
- 8:52sorry, You're just sorry you got caught. So true, so true.
- 8:56Gig Hadeed and Bradley Cooper remember when he appolo and this is Home Alone too.
- 9:01By the way, Buzz looks at Kevin after his fake apology and he
- 9:03goes, beat that your little trout sniffer. By the way, super bummed
- 9:09out because my kids are all amped up to watch Home Alone and it was
- 9:13on Disney Plus all last season and it's not there right now, Oh come
- 9:16on, it is no, there's no way. We've been doing the search.
- 9:20I can't find it. I'll get back to you on this, I
- 9:22know it, because if we can't find it, we're gonna have to whip
- 9:24out the DVDs because we have it for both of them on DVD. Nice,
- 9:28I don't have a DVD player. I'm gonna have to figure it out,
- 9:31all right. Gigi had Ead and Bradley Cooper. According to their close
- 9:35friends, their relationship is on steroids. They're getting very serious, very quick.
- 9:39They're together every day. He finds her not only attractive but intellectually interesting.
- 9:45This is a quote from one of the friends. Bradley is getting older.
- 9:48At some point he might say, I like getting up and seeing her
- 9:52face and having a cup of coffee with her, or have somebody to take
- 9:56care of him in his old age. I don't know. He's got to
- 9:58feel like he's winning the break though, because every breakup there's a winner.
- 10:01You know, he's dating a young Gigi Hadid probably looking at his ex wife
- 10:05Arena thinking beat that little trouts taking Amna in the morning dig seven New here's
- 10:15what you need to know. Well, a lot of people were talking about
- 10:18having Carson Wentz be a part of the Vikings. They've been, you know,
- 10:22wanting him to land on an NFL team all season, and yesterday,
- 10:26out of nowhere, the Rams signed him after there was an injury with Matthew
- 10:30Stafford. I guess it's their bye week, so it's going to give went
- 10:33some time to get acclimated. But you gotta think he probably was going probably
- 10:39not gonna get picked up this year, right, I don't imagine that field
- 10:41a coaster. Yeah, I feel like somebody, this is all you need
- 10:45is a team to be in desperate need of a quarterback, and you're kind
- 10:48of the first one available. So good for him. I mean, he's
- 10:50not gonna probably be the starter. Obviously, when Stafford comes back, he's
- 10:54the guy. Probably not gonna win the super Bowl, but at the very
- 10:56least gonna make a good bit of money. Standing on the sideline just the
- 11:00dream. And honestly, isn't that you're making money. You're not getting a
- 11:03concussion, you're not getting tackled, you still have the passion. You're there
- 11:07with the guys. You're doing it all and I loved it, loved it
- 11:11all through my high school career and I wasn't even getting paid. Just what
- 11:13standing standing on the sideline's You're not getting energy? You just you're just a
- 11:18morale guy. You get you know, you could hang out in the locker
- 11:20room, but you know that's why your face. Did you so you mentioned
- 11:26morale? Guy, Now we all inquiring minds want to know, Pike,
- 11:31when you were in the locker room, what was I doing? What kind
- 11:33of morale were you bringing? Were you snapping towels or were you, yeah,
- 11:39the guy from the TV the movie snapping towels, or were you like,
- 11:43all right, guys, it's Friday night under the lights. Here we
- 11:46go. I did try to give a couple of serious speeches. Never worked
- 11:50out. Oh yeah, people make fun of me all the time. Ta
- 11:52Well, Literally, we were in okay, if we really want to go
- 11:54down high school football memory, Sure we're in a hally for the section hand
- 12:00beach it or whatever. Big game. So dilorth going and fell and versus
- 12:03Holly. There's a big rivalry. You know, this is Vikings Packers.
- 12:05Basically, sure they're the better team. Of course at the time. Now
- 12:09it's halftime and we're getting beat. And now I'm a sophomore, so I
- 12:13mean I was never gonna play anyway, but especially as a sophomore, you
- 12:15just like you just be quiet and stand there. Well, it's halftime and
- 12:18we're down by two touchdowns, and I felt like everybody was just defeated.
- 12:22There was no way we're going to come back, and so in my head,
- 12:26I'm like, we're not out of this yet. So I gathered everybody
- 12:30around, all these big seniors and everybody ahead of me, and I said,
- 12:33guys, if we score once, it's a one score game. And
- 12:39they had There was five seconds of pure silence, everybody's eyeballs just in disbelief
- 12:46that this sophomore who doesn't play had just said that. And they erupted in
- 12:50laughter. Okay, And I was like, all right, mission accomplished.
- 12:54Now we're loose. Now we're loose. But no, I felt like nobody
- 12:56was putting in that perspective. Got it. So they lose. They came
- 13:00back out after the half, so got smoked. Okay. Yeah, I
- 13:03was just hoping there'd be more of a morale boost. All right. Andy
- 13:07Cohen and uh Anderson Cooper, those two have been doing the CNN New Year's
- 13:13Eve Bash for probably like four years. I would say it is. Well.
- 13:16Two years ago things went awry. They were drinking a little too much
- 13:20and that's when the network said, you know what, we're gonna slower roll
- 13:22and they kind of had to sneak a couple of cocktails. I think,
- 13:26in order to get a little bit of a buzz. But they weren't just
- 13:28openly drinking on the TV. I think you're describing an alcoholic No, you
- 13:33know. Unfortunately they did have to sneak a little alcohol just to get a
- 13:35little buzz so they felt normal. Well, the only reason I'm saying this
- 13:39is because he was very vocal about it. He's like, I don't understand
- 13:41why you guys won't let us. He said, hopefully I will not be
- 13:45sneaking it because he wanted to celebrate New Year's like most of America, having
- 13:50some champagne, enjoying but still hosting. Right, Yeah, you can't have
- 13:54your cake and eat it too, you know, as they say, But
- 13:56you're doing a job. The point of this story, Pike, I don't
- 14:01know. He really wants to be drinking. He really wants to have a
- 14:03good time. And he had the best quote in America yesterday. He said,
- 14:09give the daddies some juice. I did this whole story for you just
- 14:13so you could say, give some daddy, get there, and the daddy's
- 14:16here being the juice being the alcohol. Yes, you're not loving this I
- 14:22did. I mean, I set this up for you to get a good
- 14:24chuckle. I listen, Amanda, I do understand their desire to drink alcohol
- 14:30while working. Maybe when you become a daddy, you'll understand a little bit
- 14:33more about one in the Jews become a daddy. I've been a daddy since
- 14:37eight I'm sexy, and I know it picked an arbitrary you're there, but
- 14:46anyway, I have to have kids to be a daddy. It's just,
- 14:54oh god, I apologize. I know it. We were talking what about
- 15:00it? Yesterday? We were wondering who's gonna be the sexiest man alive?
- 15:03Well, last night Jimmy Kimmel it took him an hour and a half to
- 15:05get to the deal. I mean, it was ridiculous. He's going around
- 15:09the audience, everyone getting a chance to ask a question like twenty question style
- 15:13yes, like is it this person? Is it that person? And then
- 15:16finally at the very end, his hint was, well, it's a doctor.
- 15:18And then this happened. I am Keith, are you doctor McDreamy,
- 15:22yes, thank the doctor is in the house. Patrick Kempsey is the sexiest
- 15:30medal. It's already I think embarrassing for the guys who are a part of
- 15:33it because you just know you're gonna get razzed by other guys and just in
- 15:37general, I don't think it would be too bad. I don't know.
- 15:41I think I would. I would take a little razzing to be named sexiest
- 15:43man Alive. Well, I am excited for New Heights podcast because Travis and
- 15:48Jason Kelcey they always raz each other, and Jason Kelcey was selected as one
- 15:54of the finalists. Really he will be other Kelsey uh huh, along with
- 15:58Jamie Fox, Usher, Pedro pass Skll, Lenny Gravis and I'll never get
- 16:02this Lenny Kravitz rabbits. Yeah, oh sorry, I remember a time when
- 16:06he fell out of his pants. Lenny Kravitz, do you remember this viral
- 16:10video He's wearing leather pants on stage and well he fell out of them.
- 16:14And Timothy Shella may Well he's dating Kylie Jenner, which is I don't quite
- 16:18catch I don't get it. There's literally a billionaire beautiful I mean, so
- 16:22he must be doing something. But yeah, he's not your traditional Amanda likes
- 16:25a really you know, rough and tumble kind of guy. No was my
- 16:29pick. Man. See, that's how you would draw a man if if
- 16:33you said bike, draw the perfect man, you'd I would draw Samar Moore,
- 16:37Wipe and Amanda in the Morning on SIG seven. You know our goal
- 16:41here on this show, piking Amanda in the Morning. It's never to instill
- 16:45fear. That's the last thing we want, right, I mean, and
- 16:48there's programs out there, Amanda that that is what they set out to do.
- 16:51They think if they can scare you, you're more likely to keep listening,
- 16:53right. It's called fear mongering. However, we do not subscribe to
- 16:57that, which is why I was a little concerned earlier when we I'm sure
- 17:00terrified everybody. Amanda made the claim that Home Alone is no longer on Disney
- 17:06Plus. Yeah. No, I mean my kids have been just hitting refreshed
- 17:10every day for the past few weeks because it's Home Alone season. It is,
- 17:14and why I was personally scared, because that's a must for me Home
- 17:18Alone two specifically. But we have a call here. Good morning, Brandy,
- 17:22Hey Amanda, we were just listening and I just wanted to let you
- 17:23know Home Alone is back on Disney Plus as of yesterday. My daughter started
- 17:27watching it. Oh my God, thank you Jesus. Because I kept googling.
- 17:33I'm like, where am I going to be able to watch this?
- 17:34But they must have just taken off hocus Pocus on the Halloween stuff and put
- 17:37that back. Yeah, she was the same way, and she phoned it
- 17:40and we've been watching it yesterday, so okay, Well I might wait a
- 17:42couple of weeks so I don't get sick of it before Thanksgiving get sick.
- 17:47Home Alone don't even say that, No you can't, Brandy. Did you
- 17:49happen to see that Home Alone two was on there? Because it is the
- 17:52superior of the two pildes? There are they all on there? Yeah?
- 17:56They're all on there, even Home Alone five? Probably? Yeah, we
- 18:00ended up. So last year was when it really started Home Alone one,
- 18:03two, and then they found Home Alone three and that is just garbage.
- 18:08But my son liked that one better. Oh it was pain at all.
- 18:11You as a parent need just step in there, and I know it has
- 18:17no business in this household. Yeah, thanks, Brandy, appreciate that.
- 18:21I mean, you know what else is there for? Because this Saturday we
- 18:23were discussing, you know, putting up some decorations. A lot of people
- 18:26probably doing that this weekend. Yeah, we're putting up all Christmas, much
- 18:30to my husband's dismay. Well, he's not a big Christmas guy. He
- 18:33is wants to way till after Thanksgiving, but we go to Iowa for Thanksgiving
- 18:37and I like to have it up Otherwise they don't really get to enjoy it.
- 18:40Yeah, because it goes quick. Hobday season is fast. It's never
- 18:44too early. But we were wanting, we want to watch a Christmas movie
- 18:47on Saturday night. It's like, do you come out guns of blazing right
- 18:49to home alone two or do you kind of build up to that. That's
- 18:53just a that's just a you always have it on kind of in the background.
- 18:56That's what ends up happening at our house. So knowing that this is
- 19:00on tonight, we'll be making dinner and that'll be on in the background.
- 19:03Yeah, yes, old time. What's better watching the movie or quoting the
- 19:07movie because I see it? No, watching that movie with me is probably
- 19:10pretty annoying, for sure. My kids love Marvin Harry though. They just
- 19:14the rascals in them. They just crack out the characters. One of my
- 19:17favorite parenting moments is it was on in the background so much that my husband
- 19:22and I and this was when our kids were really little and clearly didn't know
- 19:25that we were trying to teach them a different language. It was on and
- 19:29finally we sit down for dinner, look up, and my husband and I
- 19:33realize that the Disney Plus had turned over to Spanish or Japanese or something at
- 19:37one point and didn't realize until Yeah, took a second one. So do
- 19:42your kids know Spanish? We all know what's your favorite Marv quote? See
- 19:47I'm bad at this, Harry? Are you wearing after shave? I'm not.
- 19:53I was really excited for you to watch this with my kids. I
- 19:56don't think I can do it. I don't know. The The other thing
- 20:00my kids start doing is they run around the house screaming like home alone.
- 20:03That's they think that is the funniest thing in the world. Have they started
- 20:06setting the traps yet, because I feel like every kid after watching Homelone tried
- 20:08their own little booby traps. No, Briggs is still caught up on He
- 20:12has a little truck that he drives around. It's a little formula that he
- 20:17can screwed across the floor and he always puts it like an old school telephone
- 20:21and stuff, and it acting like he's Dennis the menace, like that's his
- 20:22go to we haven't tried the booby trap. Well wait till you come home
- 20:26and the door knob is one hundred and eighty degrees, Like get a mana
- 20:33in the morning on Big Nutty eight point seven foot soon's a scene. You
- 20:37know. Flirting it really is an art, is an it. Some people
- 20:40are so so bad at it, and when you see it and you know
- 20:42it's happening, it's just so painful. Yeah, and some people don't even
- 20:45realize they're doing it. They just have a flirty personality, sure, you
- 20:49know. And some people are just so good looking that they don't need to
- 20:52be good at it. It's just easy for them. Well, if you're
- 20:55one of the people who needs to be good at flirting, I want to
- 20:56help you out because there's a new TikTok trend out there that's gonna help you
- 21:00be the expert flirter. All right, you're gonna make men not want you
- 21:03need you with the triangle. Okay, Well, I know it's not gonna
- 21:10help you obviously want but needs you. This can work on yours too.
- 21:14I don't care if you're married or if you're single looking to cuff for the
- 21:17holiday season. So I honestly love flirting with my husband because no matter what,
- 21:22it leads to either us laughing or just takes your back like, it's
- 21:27just those moments. Yes, for sure. Every once in a while you
- 21:30got to pinch a rear end in the kitchen. If you don't, I
- 21:33mean, are you even having fun? It's a good question. So here's
- 21:37the triangle method. This is the ultimate flirting technique. So according to the
- 21:41TikTok you begin the triangle method by looking directly into both of your potential partner's
- 21:48eyes for a maximum of three seconds, so you lock in. You have
- 21:52to lock into both eyes. I know it's tough, Okay, So you're
- 21:55looking at them and you can try this on me, Amanda. Be careful
- 21:57though we don't want to we don't want to go anyhow without moving your head.
- 22:02You then briefly look down at their lips before darting your eyes back up
- 22:07again. So you've gone. So you're you're really showing them like I've made
- 22:11direct eye contact with you. I'm looking at those lips because mama wants those
- 22:15lips. And then back up, so right up, yeah, right back
- 22:18up now, if that's me you're doing the triangle thing on, I'm gonna
- 22:22think, Okay, what do I have on my face? I was just
- 22:22gonna say and make sure you like what's stuck in your beard kind of thing?
- 22:26If you're doing that to me, I'm also gonna go, oh,
- 22:30yeah, is coffee stains? Or if you look too far down to me
- 22:33and be like what you're looking at? Bro? Yeah? Right? Yeah.
- 22:37It's the worst when somebody, when you're talking to somebody and their eyes
- 22:40are like looking up like at your hair or something. It's like, what
- 22:42why are you looking at? What that? Or somebody is just uncomfortably and
- 22:47as honest this is. It's not even guys when women check you out,
- 22:52when women consistently with there's somebody in our office that does this, Yeah,
- 22:55just uncomfortable. He dresses you with their eyes but all the time, and
- 22:57you're like, what are like, do you do you like my outfit?
- 23:00Do you not? It's like what are we doing here? But it's like
- 23:03their uncomfortable signal? It's weird anyway, weird. Okay, So now remember
- 23:07we're in phase two of the triangle. Man that you've had three seconds of
- 23:11eye contact directly into both of their eyes you look down at their lips for
- 23:14just a brief moment, and your eyes dart back up again. Now at
- 23:18that point, you look directly into your CRUSH's right eye before moving your gaze
- 23:22across to now lock contact with their left eye. So this is where the
- 23:27triangles did. I just want to damn kiss? Okay, well, okay,
- 23:33I guess it's not necessary with you this why it just seems so just
- 23:36going for the switch. I got you. Now that's point one of the
- 23:40triangle. Now you dart down to the lips and now you're back up.
- 23:42Now you're over to the right eye. Ye, dizzy right across the way.
- 23:47Next. If you're not going to put the work into this relationship,
- 23:48Amanda, how is it going to ever work? I'm trying now. The
- 23:52eye movements resemble that of a triangle, hence the name of the flirting method.
- 23:56Now, obviously it didn't work on me, Amanda, because you didn't
- 24:00really put your heart into it. But if you're listening right now, homework
- 24:03when we go home, I don't understand is there a reason for the triangle
- 24:06method? It shows your partner that you're interested. It's like a subliminal thing.
- 24:10It's like Okay, basically you're like ja'far with the snake I've staff and
- 24:14you're just hypnotizing of this. They have no option but to do what you
- 24:18say in the morning on big nutty eight points. If you've had toddlers,
- 24:25you know it's a weird phase. You know, they're just becoming people,
- 24:29actual humans, They're starting to have personalities. But they do weird things,
- 24:32wouldn't you admit, Oh for sure. Yeah, they're very experimental and don't
- 24:37really have any sort of boundaries or filter. No. No. In fact,
- 24:40somebody put together the list of the weird things toddlers do that are totally
- 24:42normal for toddlers. All right, And you know, I feel like I've
- 24:45been referred to as a toddler a lot in my behaviors. My wife accuses
- 24:48me of it from time to time. All right, my parents always did.
- 24:52But so I'm gonna basically say a thing that a toddler does, and
- 24:55all say if I do it too, And you tell me if your kids,
- 24:56which are toddlers, got four and three and four gay for a perfect
- 25:00all right? So first one, watching or reading or listening to the same
- 25:03thing over and over and over and over and over. Yeah. Uh,
- 25:11huh. So for your kids, it's probably what Blippy you know? Actually,
- 25:14Rachel, No, they are still into sing and Home Alone, so
- 25:18it's not terrible, but it's just like over and over. Thankfully we were
- 25:22out of the Peppa stage quick Riggsy never really got into anything. He is
- 25:26starting to get into minions a little bit, which I'm not a huge fan
- 25:30of. Yeah, now, I mean the exact same in that it's not
- 25:32you know, miss Rachel Blippy and Pepa, it's Seinfeld Anchorman and Home Alone
- 25:37two got it? Okay, so relatable with my kids. This reminds me
- 25:41of do you remember Lamb Chop? This is the song that never and Yeah,
- 25:45that's how sometimes life feels. God, that's like a memory unlocked.
- 25:48I know, I haven't thought of that Lamb Chop? I know. How
- 25:51about this so much nudity and touching themselves, That's what a weird thing toddlers
- 25:56do that are totally normal since kind of over that phase she likes to have
- 26:02clothes. Briggs is really excited about not wearing pants. Oh yeah, and
- 26:07again I can relate to that very much. So in a way I'm a
- 26:10toddler myself. Yes, so yes, banging their heads on things. Oh's
- 26:15love to do that kid's favorite pastime. It's just hitting your head on the
- 26:18coffee table. It's so dramatic, like they get upset and you're like,
- 26:22hey, we don't need you to be concussed here. Yeah, and there's
- 26:25always that like silence after they hit it, and you know for fact,
- 26:27like okay, that had to have heard they're gonna cry, But there's like
- 26:30that second where they're kind of just sort of like feeling the pain and then
- 26:36there it comes. You know, there's no big, open mouth, silent
- 26:38scream and then the tears. And as a parent you're like, oh,
- 26:41good job, you're so brave. That didn't even hurt. You're let me
- 26:45see those muscles. And then it's like, ah, we just got a
- 26:49text here that somebody would like to flex that they ran into blippy in the
- 26:55Vegas airport last month. Did they really? Oh wow? Also things toddlers
- 26:59doing anything and everything up their nose totally get that. Yeah, no we
- 27:03haven't. We are trying to get them to get their fingers out of it
- 27:06though, because that's discussing. Well that's the main one. Yeah, But
- 27:07otherwise they don't stick anything up it yet. I think what else you might
- 27:11stick up there. I guess like French fries that or just like skin like
- 27:15anything that you school. Yeah, gross, Nope, we haven't crossed that
- 27:18bridge. Things toddlers do only wanting one parent period. Oh yeah, the
- 27:23opposite one. So if I pick up the kids from daycares, where's dad
- 27:26this morning? Why is it? Why can't mom drop us off? I
- 27:30mean it's non stop. Yeah, well, at least it's a good mix.
- 27:33It's not just the one the whole time. Yeah, that's true.
- 27:36It'd be pretty demoralizing. It would hurt, It really would. And the
- 27:38number one thing that is weird that toddlers do totally relate to this guzzling bathwater.
- 27:45That's all I do. The only reason I have to sit in there
- 27:48someday is like, don't drink it. No, And then I even tell
- 27:51them it's like even though they haven't, I'm like, you know that,
- 27:55because they still take baths together. It's like, hey, Briggs, you
- 27:57might have went to the bathroom in there and you're drinking it, like this
- 28:00is disgusting, that soapy water. No, and just in general, like
- 28:03water everywhere bathtam bathtime is chaotus. At what point do you stop having them
- 28:08take baths together? Nick just asked me that question. He goes, do
- 28:11you think we're getting to that point? I'm like, I don't think so.
- 28:14I mean three and four fine, at least they're close in age.
- 28:17I had a really traumatizing moment. Oh boy, when I was growing up,
- 28:19you know when your friends would come over in high school or whatever and
- 28:22they'd start digging through family photos or whatever. My friends got a hold of
- 28:25this family photo of you know, me, my older brother, and my
- 28:27younger sister. We're in the bathtub, my sisters maybe you know, like
- 28:32three. Yeah, I'm like eight. My brother has hair on his chest.
- 28:37Were you guys in swimsuits? I don't think so. I don't know
- 28:41who was in charge of bath time that night, but they should have that
- 28:45reprimanded, like at Amnuda in the morning, from one up on big High.
- 28:51Sleep be sleeping good. You know. I actually have been a huge
- 28:53fan of the time change the last couple of days, mainly because the way
- 28:57our family is, if it's light outside, we want to be outside,
- 29:02and we don't sleep very good because we're outdoorsy people are tough. It has
- 29:06been really nice the last couple of days to kind of forcefully just shut her
- 29:10down by like seven thirty, all of us lights out by eight. Well,
- 29:12there's a couple of sleep trends if you've been struggling with sleeping, A
- 29:15couple of new trends that you know, I really like to stay on top
- 29:18of. You know me, never been a good sleeper. But a couple
- 29:22of things, for example, sleep divorce. Have you heard of the term
- 29:25sleeping about start coffee that it sounds like you're not sleep divorce, but a
- 29:29lot of couples are. Actually an increasing number of couples say they are sleep
- 29:33divorced, meaning since they have different sleep preferences, Ah, they don't sleep
- 29:37together anymore. Yeah, I would like to sleep divorce my children. That
- 29:41would be awesome. That would start really nice. You got a family of
- 29:45four in the same bed and puppy don't forget I mean, so some days,
- 29:51bike this is what ends up happening is I'm on one side, my
- 29:55husband's on the other, two kids in the middle, and now the little
- 29:57puppy dog is like wrapped. She likes to sleep up on top of like
- 30:02the headboard by our heads, and then she'll like trample down my face to
- 30:06go down by my feet and around. Why. I get it's hard to
- 30:10get the kids out of there, but the dog, I know, what
- 30:11do you do get it out of there? I know we could totally kennel
- 30:15train her and put her down. My mom too, she always complains about
- 30:17the cats sleeping on her face. I'm like, well, close the door,
- 30:21you know, put softies. That's what we are. But no,
- 30:23the kids are getting a little bit better. Sure, there's a new other
- 30:26trend that you should be aware of called Scandinavian sleeping. So if you're not
- 30:30ready to fully sleep, divorce your spouse, there's something called Scandinavian. Sounds
- 30:34exotic, Well yeah, Scandinavian one of the more exotic places. It's basically
- 30:41where you both have a different blanket because a lot of people, you know,
- 30:44like, you know, I got one foot sticking out, I got
- 30:47the comforter, you know, the sheet is kicked under you know where My
- 30:49wife might like everything because she's a cold sleep she cold, you know,
- 30:53And that's why I am. Nick says that I'm kind of a hog,
- 30:56like I take all the covers. My wife says the same thing. But
- 31:00it's got nothing to do with sleeping. Drives me crazy though, because I
- 31:03go under all of the blankets and he is only under one. And when
- 31:08you're trying to snuggle, it's like, God, you're not even here,
- 31:11Like you're looped up into a different bed. Well you might as well be
- 31:15sleep divorced. It sounds like you how late into the night are you trying
- 31:18to snuggle? Not very I mean, come on, we're all like five
- 31:22minutes. Because let's be honest. The best part about a good cuddle is
- 31:26like the initial embrace. Yeah, Like that's the sensation you get where it's
- 31:30like nice and warm. It's like, oh, this is cute. But
- 31:32then once you're just sitting there now motionless, what you carry your face once
- 31:34you hit the sweaty Like my arm is going dumb. I'm uncomfortable. I
- 31:40move over. You know what's keeping people up at night? As soon as
- 31:44I and I have to The puppy wakes me up in the middle of the
- 31:47night sometimes to go outside and go pottypike. I if I grab my phone
- 31:52and check or do anything, the chances of me going back to sleep right
- 31:56away super super slim. Like I or if I wake up to go to
- 31:59the room when I grab my phone, I have to leave it there otherwise
- 32:02I struggle. It's crazy because then I get into like this loop, like
- 32:06you said, you start googling stuff or I'm looking at what I have the
- 32:08next day and I can't shut it down. Everybody knows that's like one of
- 32:12the worst sleep habits. You know. That's why I don't even ask people
- 32:15like how how can I sleep better? Because I know what they're gonna say,
- 32:17Well, if you have your phone in the room, I'd be like,
- 32:19well, yeah, I'm on it the whole time. What else am
- 32:22I supposed to do it I can't sleep. But America's worst sleep habits include
- 32:25sallowing asleep with the television on. I feel like, to me, that's
- 32:29such a happy medium between being on your phone and not using anything. Yeah,
- 32:34I was always anti TV in the bedroom. We do have one in
- 32:37ours, and I enjoy it because I like, I like being in the
- 32:39bedroom, you know what I mean, Like, I love the bedroom snuggled
- 32:43up. You know. In the worst part though, when you have the
- 32:46TV on, because if you set like the sleep timer, you say,
- 32:50I've never done that, really, No, we just let the TV ride
- 32:52until it shuts itself off. And I'm pretty good about like waking up and
- 32:54then just shutting it out. Oh there's nothing more traumatizing though, when you
- 32:58set it for an hour and then you're awake. When the TV shuts up,
- 33:00it's like, oh my god, what am I doing? I'm still
- 33:02up? I'm hopeless. Eating too much before bed another sleep habit. That's
- 33:07no good. I've gotten really good at that. Not not eating before Yeah,
- 33:12they say like a couple few hours at least between eating, but you
- 33:15know, I'm not that well. I love me a little popcorn at night,
- 33:19do you. Oh yeah, I'll then gets stuck in your teeth.
- 33:22That drives me crazy. That's why they've invented floss and I know, toothbrushes.
- 33:25Accessing screens in bed, of course, it's horrible. Another horrible sleep
- 33:30habit, going to bed at inconsistent times. Do you ever hear that where
- 33:32you're supposed to the best thing for your sleep is to go to bed exactly
- 33:36at the same time every night and wake up at the same time. And
- 33:38that includes weekends, which is like, yeah, and we're we're pretty good
- 33:44about that for the most part. Who's weak my bike and I you know,
- 33:50we text each other good night pie, good night Amanda. You should
- 33:54get on a little bedtime routine. I mean it sounds like you need to
- 33:58be on my I marutine. The kids will put you to sleep. I'm
- 34:01not sleeping with a dog, three kids, a husband, a horse.
- 34:06Jesus take in a Manna in the morning. Sign seven. We always like
- 34:13to try to get people out of the friend zone when they reach out to
- 34:15us in a little bit of a predicament relationship wise, we do what we
- 34:19can. And this gentleman, he's found himself in a very awkward spot.
- 34:22We try. His name is Travis. Good morning, Travis. What's going
- 34:24on? Well, what's going on with you? Well, we're just hanging
- 34:30out doing a radio show. But we appreciate you taking a second man.
- 34:32This is an interesting little situation. You've got yourself in here, so really
- 34:37cool of you to put your trust in us. Tell us a little bit
- 34:38about what's going on with Becca. Well, so Becca, okay? So
- 34:44I traveled back home for a deer hunting season last weekend. Oh nice,
- 34:51Yeah, it's you know, family tradition, so forth, it's great.
- 34:55But I ran into an ex girlfriend from college. I mean, long story
- 35:00sor she's the one that got away. I mean that that really, and
- 35:02so I saw her, gassed her out for a drink. It was really
- 35:07casual. It was super awesome. But honestly, I've just I've never stopped
- 35:13thinking about her. I really regret how things ended. Okay, so how
- 35:15I'm just gonna ask how did they end? Did you break up with her
- 35:20or did she break up with you? No, I broke up with her
- 35:22for another girl. I was a total idiot like it. Oh gosh,
- 35:27yeah, big of you to admit, Trawit's my gosh, how much time
- 35:30has gone by? I mean, how long is that? Right? Yeah?
- 35:32And we were out of college, we're you know, we're early in
- 35:36our careers in life, and you know, so time has passed, We've
- 35:38grown up. She was awesome. We just got along easily, like we
- 35:43had just talked yesterday. Anyway, I'm at a different point in my life
- 35:46and I just I wonder if she'll give me a second chance. Time does
- 35:50heal all wounds, And this is no different. So I feel like it's
- 35:53possible. And I love that you're trying to do like sort of a grand
- 35:57gesture, you know, win her back in a big way, which by
- 36:00doing it on this radio show, right, So thank you for that,
- 36:01Travis. Here's what we're gonna do. Man. We'll call Becca and we're
- 36:06going to try to get the info from her seed the best we can,
- 36:07anyway, how much he's willing to give up. And then we're gonna bring
- 36:10you back in and hopefully we'll be sending you to on your marry little way
- 36:15too, you know, Mary Little Way. How do you think they're gonna
- 36:17get married? Yeah? The goal, of course, the goal today is
- 36:20a proposal. No. Oh, I'm anxious. I hope this goes the
- 36:24way we're all feeling it could. Here we go, Hello, Hi,
- 36:34Is this Becca by chance? Oh? Yeah? Beca super weird I know,
- 36:38but this is Pike and Amanda In the morning on Big ninety eight point
- 36:42seven, we do a radio show, Hey girl, Hey hi Hi.
- 36:46So the reason for the call is because we do a little thing on the
- 36:50show called the friend Zone where somebody finds himself in a unique situation a lot
- 36:54of times in the friend zone and we try to get them out of it.
- 36:58So, Becca, you have somebody out there right now who's got a
- 37:01crush on you? Okay, okay, are you single? Are you?
- 37:08There's really a radio station. Last I checked it's a big ninety eight point
- 37:15seven promise that we're not messing with you, that this is legit. Trust
- 37:21me. If we were going to make up a job, that wouldn't be
- 37:22a becca. Yes, okay, so then yeah, okay. Do you
- 37:30have any idea who it might be? Or are you just so thrown off
- 37:32right now? I'm so sure I have no idea who you could be talking
- 37:36about. Okay, Well, recently, anyway, there was a little something
- 37:40called deer hunting, and a lot of people who have moved on from their
- 37:44hometowns may have come back to hunt on family land and may bar and run
- 37:51into an old friend. Does that start to ring a bell for you at
- 37:53all? I mean, I guess that sort of. I'm sorry, I'm
- 38:00so confused. Did you happen to run into somebody over the weekend? Maybe
- 38:04somebody from your past? Oh? Oh, with it? I mean,
- 38:08yeah, it's the guy I ran into every weekend. Yeah, what was
- 38:14his name? His name was Travis. What is your relation to with Travis?
- 38:21How do you know the fella? I really he's my ex boyfriend.
- 38:24That's a little weird, a little Yeah, it was my college like my
- 38:30college sweetheart. We broke up he ended up like wanting to be with somebody
- 38:35else. But you know I did run into him this past weekend. In
- 38:37your voice right now, I can just tell that you're super anxious and uncomfortable.
- 38:42But we are going to tell you that it is Travis who reached out
- 38:45to us. He also feels bad that he broke up with you back in
- 38:51the past, and he even said, and I quote, you're the one
- 38:54that got away, and after running into you, he wants to, uh,
- 39:00well see if you guys can try to make things work now that you
- 39:02guys are a little bit older. Oh my god, that's a lot to
- 39:07take it back, I'm sure, but here, let's make it easy.
- 39:09Wes is. Instead of us telling you about it, why don't we just
