- 1:00Speaker 4: fun Boom.
- 1:02Speaker 1: It was fun a.
- 1:02Speaker 4: Long time, but a fun time.
- 1:04Speaker 1: It was a fun time. It was a hot, sweaty time.
- 1:07Speaker 1: And we can just leave it there and everybody can
- 1:10Speaker 1: just leave it to their imaginations. Talk about it so
- 1:14Speaker 1: bad kidding, I don't.
- 1:18Speaker 4: We got to see our friend slam Duncan do a show.
- 1:22Speaker 4: It was super fun. Her and me up borders.
- 1:27Speaker 1: They're great. It was fun.
- 1:29Speaker 4: Yeah, super fun. I forget you hadn't seen them, right
- 1:32Speaker 4: Lyddy had seen them, but you correct.
- 1:33Speaker 1: Yeah, she had been there two years ago and she's
- 1:37Speaker 1: pretty much talked about it weekly since then. I love
- 1:40Speaker 1: it was exciting.
- 1:43Speaker 4: I heard you were catching strays when it was like,
- 1:45Speaker 4: who are your favorite singers? And you were not named
- 1:49Speaker 4: by your daughter?
- 1:50Speaker 1: No, which is fine, it's.
- 1:52Speaker 4: Probably thank you. But it's so funny. I said, what
- 1:57Speaker 4: if she would have said someone else in hum free though?
- 1:59Speaker 4: That would have really been That would have hurt.
- 2:02Speaker 1: That would have hurt for sure. That would not have
- 2:05Speaker 1: been great for me.
- 2:07Speaker 4: It was really like Chance's voice and you're like, I mean, okay,
- 2:10Speaker 4: but come on and get it, but come on, But
- 2:15Speaker 4: also can you just lie to me please?
- 2:19Speaker 1: Yep? Very fun. That was fun, And then today was
- 2:23Speaker 1: kind of fun. I brought the kiddos to the Minnesota
- 2:27Speaker 1: Lynx game. They had a fun one today.
- 2:30Speaker 4: I forgot. Yes, yeah it was me.
- 2:34Speaker 1: They did win, but it was slow going. Man, it
- 2:37Speaker 1: took them a while to get into it.
- 2:40Speaker 4: I wonder if that messed with them at all.
- 2:42Speaker 1: Maybe you know, but man, it was us and like
- 2:45Speaker 1: eight thousand kids, it was insane. You can tell they
- 2:49Speaker 1: were like different camps and stuff that we're going. But dude,
- 2:53Speaker 1: it was so loud in there and whatever the opposing
- 2:57Speaker 1: team was shooting free throws, just this high pitch scream
- 3:02Speaker 1: just all these kids just like screaming. It was a lot,
- 3:06Speaker 1: but man, the kids loved it. It was really really fun.
- 3:10Speaker 1: We had a good time.
- 3:11Speaker 4: I just went to the Lynx game on Monday, as
- 3:13Speaker 4: you know. I went and saw the game with our
- 3:16Speaker 4: friend Carrie, and it was so fun. They kind of
- 3:19Speaker 4: battled back and forth, but they came back and won
- 3:21Speaker 4: that game.
- 3:23Speaker 1: Yeah, that one was closer even.
- 3:24Speaker 4: Yeah. Yeah, it came down to the last couple of
- 3:26Speaker 4: minutes for sure. Yeah. We had a couple of people
- 3:29Speaker 4: score thirty each. And it was fun. That's such a
- 3:32Speaker 4: great atmosphere over there. It's great.
- 3:34Speaker 1: It's fun watching a team that wins regularly for Minnesota. Yes,
- 3:40Speaker 1: the one thing that was scary is that Olivia Miles
- 3:42Speaker 1: did go down and she did not come back in oh,
- 3:46Speaker 1: so she was a little limpy pooh. But and it's
- 3:50Speaker 1: just a spring Yeah, but we'll see fingers.
- 3:54Speaker 4: Crossed indeed, indeed.
- 3:56Speaker 1: Yeah, but it was a fun way to hang out today.
- 4:00Speaker 4: Fun, lovely. Yeah, a nice Time's.
- 4:02Speaker 1: Nice have you been watching any fun movies lately?
- 4:05Speaker 4: I have. I saw on Netflix a new release.
- 4:09Speaker 1: Oh my god, when.
- 4:10Speaker 4: Was it actually released? Does this matter? No, but I'm
- 4:12Speaker 4: gonna look June nineteenth. Uh so pretty new, pretty new,
- 4:17Speaker 4: and all agree. I saw voicemails for Isabelle.
- 4:23Speaker 1: I kept seeing Zoe Deutsch doing this the press tour
- 4:28Speaker 1: for this.
- 4:29Speaker 4: I love her. I have such a crush on her.
- 4:31Speaker 4: I just think she I get it. She seems like
- 4:33Speaker 4: the nicest person. She's beauty pie, you know what I mean.
- 4:38Speaker 4: And she's a really great actor, like I really like funny,
- 4:41Speaker 4: so funny. Yeah, she just seems really great and this
- 4:45Speaker 4: movie reflects that. I really liked this movie a lot.
- 4:49Speaker 4: I recommend folks watch it if you like a rom com. Now,
- 4:52Speaker 4: I will say, uh, trigger warning for folks that are
- 4:56Speaker 4: dealing with like grief of death and stuff, because there's
- 4:59Speaker 4: a lot of that's a big plot point.
- 5:02Speaker 1: I've heard there's been people that are like this is
- 5:04Speaker 1: me before I watched voices from it, and then they
- 5:08Speaker 1: do it after and all their makeup is, you know,
- 5:11Speaker 1: running down their face.
- 5:12Speaker 4: It's really touching. Yeah, and really like legitimately sad in
- 5:16Speaker 4: some points, but it is also so funny. It's lovely,
- 5:20Speaker 4: like heart ranching stuff. I really had a great time
- 5:23Speaker 4: with it. It was written and directed by Leah McKendrick,
- 5:27Speaker 4: who I don't really know from anything else that I
- 5:30Speaker 4: can tell right off the bat. But if she's gonna
- 5:34Speaker 4: tell it, wasn't it a book originally? That's a good question.
- 5:38Speaker 1: I don't know the answer to that, and so I
- 5:39Speaker 1: thought that when she was doing the press to her
- 5:42Speaker 1: that it was.
- 5:42Speaker 4: A well that's probably true. Yeah, I don't know. I
- 5:46Speaker 4: don't know that. I really like this movie a lot though.
- 5:49Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 5:50Speaker 4: Yeah, like I said, got some really funny parts. Nick
- 5:54Speaker 4: Robinson is the league guy, and I had seen him
- 5:56Speaker 4: in a few things, but I didn't I wasn't super
- 5:58Speaker 4: familiar with him either. He was in uh King, that
- 6:02Speaker 4: Kings of Summer movie, which I actually quite liked. Did
- 6:05Speaker 4: you ever watch that one?
- 6:06Speaker 1: No?
- 6:07Speaker 4: Jurassic World he was in, and then he was in
- 6:10Speaker 4: one more. Was he like the older brother in that? Oh? Yeah,
- 6:15Speaker 4: snackshack he was the older brother.
- 6:18Speaker 1: Yes.
- 6:20Speaker 4: He was really great in this though, the first time
- 6:21Speaker 4: I'd ever seen him like as a lead, and I
- 6:23Speaker 4: really liked it a lot too. So cool uh Big
- 6:27Speaker 4: based on a book. By the way, Oh it is not, Okay,
- 6:30Speaker 4: I just looked it up. It totally could have been.
- 6:33Speaker 4: But yeah, she because the I never said so. It's
- 6:37Speaker 4: it's about her, Zoey Deutsch's character leaving voice messages for
- 6:41Speaker 4: her decease sister, and the guy like gets a new
- 6:45Speaker 4: phone and so he's getting them and listening to them.
- 6:47Speaker 4: That's like sort of that's the like meat cute ish,
- 6:52Speaker 4: but yeah, it's really it's a It's a wonderful film.
- 6:55Speaker 4: I really liked it a lot, big fan, So check
- 6:57Speaker 4: it out if you're into that kind of romance.
- 7:00Speaker 1: I'm so glad comedy and tears. Nice, I'm so glad
- 7:04Speaker 1: you had a new one to talk about because mine
- 7:07Speaker 1: is not new and we've even done an episode on it.
- 7:11Speaker 1: But it's a perfect summer movie. I think that would
- 7:14Speaker 1: be a good a good top five at some point,
- 7:16Speaker 1: just like top five summer movie. But this one would
- 7:22Speaker 1: have to be top five, if not number one.
- 7:26Speaker 4: Look, I should get this.
- 7:27Speaker 1: We brought it up because there's a very memorable Fourth
- 7:32Speaker 1: of July scene.
- 7:33Speaker 4: Oh so you watched the Sandlot. Nice, we watched this
- 7:35Speaker 4: because we just talked about that recently.
- 7:38Speaker 1: Hell yeah, brother, Hell yeah. So Charlie had his like
- 7:43Speaker 1: end of the year party with his baseball team. Uh,
- 7:47Speaker 1: and they were gonna go and watch watch the Sandlot
- 7:52Speaker 1: all together. They had like a projector at the coach's house.
- 7:55Speaker 1: They're going to watch it outside. But dude, it's so
- 7:58Speaker 1: bright up here until ten thirty. Kids, when they were
- 8:02Speaker 1: at seven o'clock, it was like, we can't see it.
- 8:06Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 8:07Speaker 1: Yeah, but he had kind of had a jones in
- 8:09Speaker 1: to watch the Sandlot, and I was like, dude, you
- 8:11Speaker 1: don't say no more.
- 8:12Speaker 4: We do not need to convince any one of this.
- 8:14Speaker 4: As far as I'm concerned.
- 8:16Speaker 1: It's one of my favorite movies of all time. We
- 8:18Speaker 1: did an entire episode on it with Nate Stone, so
- 8:20Speaker 1: if you want to hear my thoughts, love it. But man,
- 8:23Speaker 1: it's so it's so funny and Lydia whenever it comes up,
- 8:27Speaker 1: she always brings up the and the oiling and oiling.
- 8:32Speaker 1: She knows what she's doing.
- 8:34Speaker 3: I can't take it anymore.
- 8:37Speaker 1: Oh man, she thinks that's very fat. But the oiling oiling.
- 8:44Speaker 4: I love that.
- 8:46Speaker 1: It makes me laugh.
- 8:47Speaker 4: Oh that's such a good movie to watch with the
- 8:49Speaker 4: kids too. So likes it.
- 8:51Speaker 1: Yeah, perfect movie. Yea if you don't like the sandlot
- 8:54Speaker 1: your cray.
- 8:55Speaker 4: Yeah, that's dumb, and you should reevaluate something.
- 8:57Speaker 1: Reevaluate some things.
- 8:59Speaker 4: Taste the subject, have all the but you're stupid and
- 9:01Speaker 4: you should feel bad.
- 9:02Speaker 1: You know that's where that's yes, exactly, but that's on
- 9:07Speaker 1: Disney Plus. I believe watch that. But speaking of the
- 9:12Speaker 1: streaming services, what have you been streaming?
- 9:14Speaker 4: Yeah? So this one I had saw on Prime and
- 9:18Speaker 4: now it looks like it's only you can rent it,
- 9:20Speaker 4: which is weird. I did not know it anyway. This
- 9:23Speaker 4: is from twenty ten, a movie I've never seen that
- 9:25Speaker 4: has a pretty stat cast. It's called Going the Distance.
- 9:30Speaker 4: He's going forward?
- 9:31Speaker 1: Did you ever see this movie?
- 9:32Speaker 4: Wrap?
- 9:32Speaker 1: This is I'm looking it up now.
- 9:34Speaker 4: Drew Barrymore, Justin Long, Ron Livingston, Charlie Day, Jason Sudeikis,
- 9:40Speaker 4: Christina Applegate, Jim Gaffkins in it.
- 9:44Speaker 1: I did see it is not like it all No, no, no,
- 9:50Speaker 1: I I gave it an eight out of ten. But
- 9:53Speaker 1: it's just it's just not ringing a bell.
- 9:56Speaker 4: I didn't remember it. Sorry, I miss what you said.
- 9:58Speaker 1: But you got Jason Sadeka's and Charlie Day. We got
- 10:01Speaker 1: Horrible Bosses Reunion.
- 10:03Speaker 4: It's crazy a prequel. Wait when was Horrible Bosses ahead?
- 10:07Speaker 1: We just did the episode, I know, but one No,
- 10:11Speaker 1: it was the fifteenth I believe, So twenty eleven, okay.
- 10:15Speaker 4: So it was just the year before this was interesting.
- 10:19Speaker 4: Twenty ten was this one. It's a movie based on
- 10:23Speaker 4: Justin Long and Drew Barrymore are star cross lovers who
- 10:28Speaker 4: end up having to move away from each other for
- 10:30Speaker 4: they're like, they're like mid twenties ish early thirties folks,
- 10:36Speaker 4: so as their careers in life get going, they like
- 10:39Speaker 4: split up and they're trying to make like the distance
- 10:41Speaker 4: long distance thing happen right and the crazy stuff happens
- 10:46Speaker 4: from in there. But it is righted are and it's
- 10:49Speaker 4: pretty funny. And I haven't seen Drew Barrymore do a
- 10:52Speaker 4: lot of like stuff work because you know, she's kind
- 10:55Speaker 4: of cussing in it. She's talking about sex a lot
- 10:57Speaker 4: in it, like you know, things like that. So it
- 10:59Speaker 4: was it was a fun movie. I really liked it.
- 11:01Speaker 4: I thought was pretty pretty great. And you know, as
- 11:04Speaker 4: we well know, Charlie Day and Jason Sidikas are just
- 11:07Speaker 4: so damn funny together.
- 11:08Speaker 1: What a great recipe, Yes, Frimlarity Justin Long is amazing.
- 11:13Speaker 1: I mean, I've always loved him man, me too. He's
- 11:17Speaker 1: got a great career. I'm surprised it's not more honestly, Yeah,
- 11:21Speaker 1: but agreed.
- 11:23Speaker 4: He just seems really lovable. He can kind of be
- 11:25Speaker 4: the zany person or the like kind of straight guy
- 11:28Speaker 4: to you know, like normal dude. I realize he was
- 11:31Speaker 4: really good in this, and I am surprised I missed
- 11:34Speaker 4: this in twenty ten. I really liked it a ton. Yeah,
- 11:36Speaker 4: it was fun.
- 11:38Speaker 1: I think I saw it in the theater and that's
- 11:40Speaker 1: the only time I saw it, and I completely forgot
- 11:42Speaker 1: about it.
- 11:43Speaker 4: Understandable, you know, it's just been a bunch of other stuff,
- 11:45Speaker 4: But yeah, go check it out going the distance. What
- 11:49Speaker 4: have you been streaming?
- 11:50Speaker 1: Well, I had brought up, pardon me, that I had
- 11:54Speaker 1: started Widow's Bay on Apple TV plus.
- 11:56Speaker 4: Oh, yes, that's right.
- 11:58Speaker 1: And I got around to finishing it. So when I
- 12:01Speaker 1: had mentioned it before, I had said it was a
- 12:04Speaker 1: fun mix between comedy and horror, and Matthew Reese is
- 12:09Speaker 1: great and Stephen Root is incredible. He plays it super serious,
- 12:13Speaker 1: which makes it funnier that but I will say that
- 12:18Speaker 1: as the show goes on, it gets less funny and
- 12:21Speaker 1: is kind of straight up horror. Really, I still liked it,
- 12:25Speaker 1: but felt like the tone kind of shifted in the
- 12:28Speaker 1: last like three episodes. So yeah, I was kind of
- 12:34Speaker 1: missing some of that funny stuff you know before.
- 12:38Speaker 4: Not that it was bad, it just wasn't the same
- 12:40Speaker 4: or whatever.
- 12:41Speaker 1: Right, But dude, there is one episode that I swear
- 12:44Speaker 1: it's just like it's basically Halloween, the movie Halloween. Really
- 12:50Speaker 1: it's crazy because like it's like this this town is
- 12:53Speaker 1: like haunted. I don't want to get like give too
- 12:56Speaker 1: much away, but there's a lot of different things that
- 13:00Speaker 1: happened haunting wise interesting, which is fun, is fun. But dude,
- 13:05Speaker 1: Matthew Reese, he is killing it. He's up for Best
- 13:08Speaker 1: Actor in this one and in for The Beast in Me.
- 13:13Speaker 1: He's like the first one to double up in best
- 13:16Speaker 1: actor category. Wow a long time, sounds like, so he's
- 13:20Speaker 1: doing well for himself, but yeah, he is. He's so good.
- 13:25Speaker 1: But and there were a lot of people that I
- 13:27Speaker 1: didn't know. The woman the main woman in it, and
- 13:31Speaker 1: she is fantastic. I was meaning to look her up
- 13:36Speaker 1: real quick. She's really funny. Her name is Kate O'Flynn.
- 13:42Speaker 1: But yeah, if that sounds like something you're interested in
- 13:44Speaker 1: checking out on Apple TV. Plus it was eight episodes.
- 13:48Speaker 1: I think let's do it like forty five ish minutes.
- 13:51Speaker 4: It feels like a fall thing to me. But maybe
- 13:53Speaker 4: I'll watch it the summer.
- 13:54Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, I can't see that.
- 13:56Speaker 4: Who can tell you? Honestly?
- 13:58Speaker 5: Who am I? You know?
- 14:01Speaker 4: Very cool, buddy? What should we do if you plug
- 14:02Speaker 4: our runs?
- 14:03Speaker 1: Let's plug it up?

- 15:12Speaker 4: know what's coming up next, but we're here today to

- 15:57Speaker 5: I'm pretty good. It's been out the gig jumping ad.
- 16:02Speaker 4: Yeah, having a great time in season.
- 16:05Speaker 1: Man, you guys you've been doing a bunch of festivals, right.
- 16:07Speaker 6: Yeah, summertime all the Midwest like doubles its stages because
- 16:13Speaker 6: we can go outside now.
- 16:14Speaker 4: Yeah, I love that. Love that very cool man, nice
- 16:18Speaker 4: and cool for you. So that's good. We haven't talked
- 16:22Speaker 4: about the weather. I'm sorry, getting.
- 16:27Speaker 1: Max. We realized that every single intro we do, we
- 16:30Speaker 1: discuss the weather, and it's for you know, people hear
- 16:32Speaker 1: it three weeks later, so they're just cool. Get to
- 16:36Speaker 1: hear about the weather from three weeks ago. Interesting.
- 16:39Speaker 4: You know, this is the stage of life. I'm in
- 16:41Speaker 4: you know, really rolled in tonight.
- 16:44Speaker 5: So I more like if.
- 16:45Speaker 6: Anyone starts talking to me about the weather, I like
- 16:48Speaker 6: just zone out, like I don't. I just like unless
- 16:52Speaker 6: it's like correct, like directly affect me, like you need
- 16:54Speaker 6: an umbrella right now it's raining and you're about to
- 16:56Speaker 6: go out there, Like I just don't care at all
- 17:00Speaker 6: at all.
- 17:03Speaker 4: It's probably telling me.
- 17:04Speaker 6: About there's like travel route or like you know, we
- 17:07Speaker 6: were forty five and that's pretty like oh, there.
- 17:13Speaker 4: I'm going to tell you how I got to everything.
- 17:17Speaker 1: Yeah, giving some day dreaming stuff about something. I love
- 17:24Speaker 1: that so much.
- 17:25Speaker 4: That's really great.
- 17:26Speaker 1: I don't care.
- 17:27Speaker 5: I'm allergic to cht care.
- 17:30Speaker 1: Yeah that's cool, man, get it, I get it. Well,
- 17:34Speaker 1: let's stop chit chat and then should we talk about this.
- 17:38Speaker 4: It's trying to be your friend. Doing that immediately don't work.
- 17:44Speaker 4: We were saying earlier, this is the thirty year anniversary, right, yes,
- 17:49Speaker 4: thirty thirty years racing thirty anniversary.
- 17:52Speaker 5: Yeah, King, that's awesome.
- 17:54Speaker 4: Nineteen ninety six. Uh, and I think we should got
- 17:57Speaker 4: right into it. Rob, you want to hit us with
- 17:59Speaker 4: that roofs?
- 17:59Speaker 1: And I would love to. Bowling prodigy Roy Munson loses
- 18:05Speaker 1: his hand and a con gone wrong, orchestrated by his
- 18:09Speaker 1: arrogant rival Ernie McCracken. Years later, washed up Roy discovers
- 18:13Speaker 1: a secret bowling prodigy among the Amish Ishmael and manages
- 18:18Speaker 1: his path to a high stakes tournament.
- 18:23Speaker 4: Oh that was it. That's great, nice nice. I thought
- 18:26Speaker 4: there was another sentence. No thought. That's all right, great reads.
- 18:32Speaker 4: Let's go to Rock and Tobados and hear what they
- 18:34Speaker 4: have to say. Critics have us coming in at a
- 18:35Speaker 4: pretty rock solid fifty one percent, so just barely pass
- 18:40Speaker 4: in pass fail dumb. That's the thing. I guess audience
- 18:44Speaker 4: members though, I think they wanted it hire, but they
- 18:47Speaker 4: want to stick to this number. They have it at
- 18:49Speaker 4: sixty nine right, good one appropriate, appropriate, But I think
- 18:57Speaker 4: we should get it right into it and hear what
- 18:58Speaker 4: we think. It's time for our hot spicy. Uh, that's
- 19:05Speaker 4: a hot take.
- 19:07Speaker 1: That's a hot take. Oh, I burned myself. We got
- 19:10Speaker 1: to come up with these beforehand.
- 19:11Speaker 4: Never think about it till this second.
- 19:13Speaker 1: There's not a hot thing in this movie. I don't think.
- 19:16Speaker 4: I mean what, he's kind of hot. They're hot bowlers. Actually,
- 19:23Speaker 4: by comparison of the other bowlers, they are the two
- 19:25Speaker 4: best looking bowlers by quite a lot.
- 19:28Speaker 1: That's a good call.
- 19:28Speaker 4: That's a good call, quite a lot.
- 19:30Speaker 1: I mean, I'm intimidated by all of these athletes.
- 19:36Speaker 4: I love I love it anyway, hot take, I'll go first.
- 19:42Speaker 4: I have always thought this movie is really very silly
- 19:45Speaker 4: and very fun. Yes, using bowling as like the sport
- 19:51Speaker 4: in a sports movie is just a great idea. I
- 19:53Speaker 4: love it so much. I think everybody in it is
- 19:57Speaker 4: super fun. Like I don't I don't have a ton
- 20:00Speaker 4: of memories of this movie, although I know I definitely
- 20:03Speaker 4: watched it quite a few times.
- 20:04Speaker 1: Yeah, the things that.
- 20:06Speaker 4: Live on in this movie for me are the lines,
- 20:08Speaker 4: for sure, and we'll you know, obviously we'll get to
- 20:11Speaker 4: that quotes and everything and show me the money. But
- 20:14Speaker 4: that is for sure the thing I think about the most.
- 20:17Speaker 4: And maybe combovers, which is why we're doing our d
- 20:20Speaker 4: the way we are. But yeah, it's it's pretty great. Yeah,
- 20:26Speaker 4: I think that's kind of all I have to say
- 20:27Speaker 4: about The Fairley brothers have made some of my favorite movies.
- 20:30Speaker 4: But I'm sure, Lob, you're going to talk about that.
- 20:33Speaker 4: And it's funny to see that they went from these
- 20:35Speaker 4: movies into like doing like some actual real films, you
- 20:40Speaker 4: know what I mean, Yeah, like more serious material, which
- 20:43Speaker 4: is pretty great. But yeah, anyhow, Number one hot take,
- 20:48Speaker 4: because I actually have two hot takes. I love one
- 20:50Speaker 4: hot take. They came up with six seven, I guess
- 20:53Speaker 4: because they were at one point He's like, well, let's
- 20:56Speaker 4: just we'll have six or seven drinks.
- 21:00Speaker 1: I didn't notice that.
- 21:02Speaker 4: Okay, they didn't do the hands, but no, I saw
- 21:06Speaker 4: it in my brain. And then my second hot take
- 21:10Speaker 4: is a pretty brutal retribution for finding out you're getting
- 21:14Speaker 4: hustled when you were going to hustle the people and
- 21:17Speaker 4: it came bowling to have a guy's entire hand chewed off. Yeah,
- 21:21Speaker 4: that is pretty rough, ou chee. I don't know that
- 21:25Speaker 4: it's a measured response, you know. I think I said
- 21:27Speaker 4: that for the last movie too. But I feel that
- 21:29Speaker 4: way of a spot. I get that it seems a
- 21:32Speaker 4: little far.
- 21:33Speaker 1: Not very priest like.
- 21:35Speaker 4: No, no, but yeah, that's all I have. Great movie, bro,
- 21:40Speaker 4: great movie.
- 21:41Speaker 1: Love it. Yeah. So I thought this movie was hilarious
- 21:46Speaker 1: when it came out. I had so much fun on
- 21:49Speaker 1: this rewatch. It's been a very very long time since
- 21:52Speaker 1: I've seen it. Directed by the Fairly Brothers, Like you said,
- 21:56Speaker 1: this is our fifth film we've done from them, because
- 22:02Speaker 1: well from both of them, so like Bobby and Peter
- 22:05Speaker 1: kind of went off and did their own things. One
- 22:07Speaker 1: of them did Hall Pass, another one of them did
- 22:10Speaker 1: Green Book, but then we also did There's Something about
- 22:13Speaker 1: Mary and Dumb and Dummer and now Kingpin.
- 22:16Speaker 4: Damn nice.
- 22:19Speaker 1: And it's not my favorite from the Fairly Brothers because
- 22:22Speaker 1: Dumb and Dumber is one of my favorite movies of
- 22:24Speaker 1: all time, But there's some super memorable scenes and quotes
- 22:29Speaker 1: that I still use regularly that definitely make it worth
- 22:32Speaker 1: talking about. The main actors in this I thought were
- 22:35Speaker 1: cast really well. Whoever was in charge of those comovers
- 22:39Speaker 1: did an amazing job added so much of the movie.
- 22:42Speaker 1: And I don't know what it is about a road
- 22:43Speaker 1: trip comedy, but they tend to be some of my favorites. Planes, trains,
- 22:47Speaker 1: and automobiles, Tommy Boy, Dumb and Dummer. Like I said,
- 22:50Speaker 1: it just seems to be a great recipe for hilarity.
- 22:55Speaker 4: It does. Yeah, And is that just because you're like,
- 22:58Speaker 4: we've all done a road trip or something and we're
- 23:00Speaker 4: just like you just everything falls into place. You're like,
- 23:03Speaker 4: they're gonna see some weird stuff they're gonna do.
- 23:05Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 23:06Speaker 1: Yeah, I think it just is constantly putting them in
- 23:08Speaker 1: new situations where they can just go and be goofy
- 23:10Speaker 1: in a spot, and then they can get back on
- 23:12Speaker 1: the road go be goofy in another spot. But yeah,
- 23:15Speaker 1: I think this is a pretty underrated comedy. Still makes
- 23:18Speaker 1: me laugh a bunch. My hot take Ernie McCracken might
- 23:24Speaker 1: be one of the best comedy villains of all time.
- 23:27Speaker 1: It has very little screen time.
- 23:29Speaker 4: Yeah, he's such a jerk too.
- 23:32Speaker 1: He's the worst, but he's so funny.
- 23:37Speaker 4: Yeah, that is a great take. I like that a lot. Yeah,
- 23:41Speaker 4: like it t all right, Max, what you got?
- 23:44Speaker 5: It is like one of my favorite movies. If I
- 23:47Speaker 5: had to like pick like top ten movies about the time,
- 23:50Speaker 5: probably this one. I've seen it undreds of times.
- 23:53Speaker 6: I love that I watched with all the coun I
- 23:56Speaker 6: watched the movie so many times, like all through, like
- 24:01Speaker 6: is really on heavy rotation in college and then I'll
- 24:03Speaker 6: always be watching ever on.
- 24:05Speaker 5: I'm watching it and everyone's put it on. I found
- 24:09Speaker 5: it free on YouTube. That was awesome. I was like,
- 24:11Speaker 5: I can watch it.
- 24:13Speaker 6: Yeah, it's so good. And my hot take is that
- 24:17Speaker 6: pound per pound. I think this has the best montages
- 24:19Speaker 6: of any movie. The montage game in this movie is
- 24:24Speaker 6: like Chef's Kiss.
- 24:25Speaker 5: And when we're talking about favorite teens, one of mine
- 24:27Speaker 5: is one of the montages, and I think it's like.
- 24:30Speaker 6: Cinematically perfect, like from like the sinking of the sound
- 24:34Speaker 6: and it's just great. Like that's one thing I remember
- 24:37Speaker 6: most of all in this movie are the montages because.
- 24:39Speaker 5: They're so good, because they like slamm jokes in there
- 24:42Speaker 5: and it's just great.
- 24:43Speaker 6: I love this movie so much, quote it a million
- 24:47Speaker 6: times from Sunday, So the quote section is going to
- 24:49Speaker 6: be tough to get through it all, but those.
- 24:53Speaker 5: Are this is like the ones where are use in
- 24:55Speaker 5: my daily life all the time.
- 24:56Speaker 6: And it's kind of like a litmus test, like if
- 24:58Speaker 6: I say this and you know what I'm talking about, well,
- 25:01Speaker 6: probably friends, we can hang.
- 25:02Speaker 1: On, We're gonna be Yeah.
- 25:04Speaker 5: I also think this is the movie that taught me
- 25:06Speaker 5: the things I know.
- 25:09Speaker 4: I can't I can't remember, I can't remember.
- 25:12Speaker 5: Knowing it without this movie so credited.
- 25:16Speaker 4: I thought that was especially crass.
- 25:21Speaker 1: Those teeth, those brown teeth.
- 25:25Speaker 6: And that lady is funny because like they always make
- 25:27Speaker 6: her look so crappy in her movies.
- 25:30Speaker 5: She's kind of like just a cute little old, old
- 25:33Speaker 5: older woman, but like nowhere near like when you see
- 25:36Speaker 5: her in real life, you're like, wow, you.
- 25:41Speaker 6: So yeah, because she's like that super tan lady Mary,
- 25:45Speaker 6: and they just make her so bad and everything.
- 25:48Speaker 5: They do such a great job. She's so scary and
- 25:50Speaker 5: creepy and every movie it's great.
- 25:53Speaker 4: Good for her for being willing to just be like, yeah,
- 25:55Speaker 4: just make me look gross.
- 25:56Speaker 6: Whoever does their like war droving and care I don't know,
- 26:00Speaker 6: it's the same squad every time, but they do such
- 26:02Speaker 6: a good job to like elevate the comedy with like
- 26:05Speaker 6: their outfits and stuff. And you can tell that like
- 26:07Speaker 6: once they get in there getting their outfit, those actors
- 26:10Speaker 6: come out, they're just like, oh, okay, this.
- 26:12Speaker 5: Is awesome, Like here we go. Okay, he just gave
- 26:14Speaker 5: me all these tools to play with.
- 26:16Speaker 1: But yeah, I love that.
- 26:18Speaker 5: Yeah, it's a.
- 26:19Speaker 1: Great take, hot take, bro Ron. Well then let's let's
- 26:24Speaker 1: move on. Let's pick our favorite acting performance, and let's
- 26:27Speaker 1: choose the dude.
- 26:30Speaker 4: The dude.
- 26:31Speaker 7: I'm the dude, so that's what you call me, you
- 26:34Speaker 7: know that, or his dudeness or duder or you know
- 26:40Speaker 7: el dude a reno if you're not into the whole
- 26:42Speaker 7: brevity thing.
- 26:43Speaker 4: Next week got for your favorite acting performance.
- 26:45Speaker 5: It's just so hard for me. I think, like the
- 26:47Speaker 5: three main male actors are so good. I have to
- 26:52Speaker 5: give it to Bill Murray.
- 26:54Speaker 6: Oh nice, I have to, just because, like you can tell,
- 26:58Speaker 6: they let him just makes step up and if you
- 27:00Speaker 6: watch like the commentary and stuff, a lot of the
- 27:03Speaker 6: best lines are just him riffing and he just just
- 27:09Speaker 6: nailed it, like so perfectly, Like they're like, you are
- 27:12Speaker 6: just the self serving, maniacal socio. Okayth go and he
- 27:17Speaker 6: just goes all it's so perfect.
- 27:20Speaker 4: It's like great.
- 27:22Speaker 5: But man, it was really hard because what he's great
- 27:24Speaker 5: this and uh, he's he's super great.
- 27:30Speaker 6: They do great in their respective roles, but man, I
- 27:32Speaker 6: think like as far as chewing up scenery and getting
- 27:35Speaker 6: the most out of their part. Bill Murray by far.
- 27:39Speaker 1: Bo love that. I thought it was going to be hotter.
- 27:42Speaker 1: Take I. I also took Bill Murray.
- 27:44Speaker 7: Uh.
- 27:45Speaker 1: And dude, he is not in this movie very long. No,
- 27:48Speaker 1: Like his screen time is pretty sure.
- 27:50Speaker 5: He's the main thing. You remember, he.
- 27:53Speaker 1: Crushes every second that he's in the movie. And I
- 27:57Speaker 1: mean it's the first thing I think about, just that
- 27:59Speaker 1: goof hair, his goofy moves that he does when he's
- 28:02Speaker 1: bowling those commercials are that commercial is one of the
- 28:07Speaker 1: funniest things I've ever seen in my life. Yeah, he's
- 28:12Speaker 1: they let him cook and he was just he was
- 28:15Speaker 1: all over it. Loved it.
- 28:19Speaker 5: Well.
- 28:20Speaker 4: I thought I was gonna go outside, but it turns
- 28:22Speaker 4: out it's a clean sweet wow. I just he's like,
- 28:28Speaker 4: you just can't. He cannot be denied.
- 28:30Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 28:31Speaker 4: He's so good. I just love it so much.
- 28:34Speaker 1: Every perfect, so perfect.
- 28:37Speaker 4: He's got that that like and they even make a
- 28:40Speaker 4: comment about it. He's like when he sticks his hand
- 28:42Speaker 4: out when he's bowling, it's so funny, like it's so.
- 28:45Speaker 5: High and out there.
- 28:47Speaker 4: Uh, it's just the best. Everything he says is hysterical,
- 28:52Speaker 4: Like I don't know, he's just he's great. And now
- 28:54Speaker 4: I'm with you, guys, he's great.
- 28:56Speaker 1: But we got to talk about some of the leads too.
- 28:58Speaker 5: Though.
- 28:58Speaker 1: Aside for.
- 29:01Speaker 4: What he is amazing, I think what he might be
- 29:04Speaker 4: like our all time best. I can be the second
- 29:08Speaker 4: funniest person in something and it's gonna be a great
- 29:11Speaker 4: time because he's so funny but also doesn't like need
- 29:15Speaker 4: to be the forefront all the time, which I think
- 29:17Speaker 4: is pretty impressive. I just thought he was super good
- 29:20Speaker 4: in this a mixture of like being jaded but also
- 29:24Speaker 4: you know, just like he's like a switch.
- 29:27Speaker 6: Between like comedic and straight man, like perfectly, like yeah,
- 29:31Speaker 6: he straddled.
- 29:32Speaker 5: Them both and sometimes both at the same time.
- 29:34Speaker 6: Like he'll deliver basically like it's a comedic line, but
- 29:37Speaker 6: he's doing it so straight, like he's really good.
- 29:39Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, agreed, Yeah, I think it's I think it's
- 29:42Speaker 4: just wonderful. I don't know, I loved him so much.
- 29:45Speaker 1: Yeah, pretty unlikable character and you're still kind of rooting
- 29:49Speaker 1: for him that you know, you're doing a pretty good jobs.
- 29:53Speaker 4: Maybe why they had to help him get his hand
- 29:55Speaker 4: chopped off because they were like, well, we got to
- 29:57Speaker 4: give him something where people are like, yeah, but that's sucked.
- 30:01Speaker 1: Man, and they just they play up that hand so
- 30:03Speaker 1: much and it's always so funny so many times, but
- 30:08Speaker 1: he's like listing off the reasons.
- 30:12Speaker 5: Like the noise they added, and then they all come back.
- 30:19Speaker 1: It's so good, that's funny. Uh cool. Well, then let's uh,
- 30:26Speaker 1: let's go and do the Tucci Award. Let's do our
- 30:29Speaker 1: supporting characters. Let's make the Tucci Award.
- 30:34Speaker 4: There it is we got for this one?
- 30:36Speaker 5: Mare?
- 30:37Speaker 6: Uh well, I guess let me ask you the parameters
- 30:40Speaker 6: of this award, like, because I mean when.
- 30:41Speaker 5: He's the lead, so he could can he get the
- 30:44Speaker 5: teacher's bill?
- 30:48Speaker 1: Yeah, we're pretty fast.
- 30:50Speaker 4: Oh, there it is, we're both fast.
- 30:55Speaker 6: Well, then I go, if you can get it, then
- 30:59Speaker 6: I think it has to be because I think he
- 31:01Speaker 6: sort of supports the whole you know, gets us through
- 31:04Speaker 6: the rest of the movie. I would I would say
- 31:06Speaker 6: Randy Quaid, but not really.
- 31:08Speaker 5: I kind of think. I think he does a good
- 31:10Speaker 5: job and is dopey, but I think the lines in
- 31:13Speaker 5: the sitarios got.
- 31:14Speaker 6: Him through that and any some other actors could probably
- 31:17Speaker 6: have played that role just as well. But I don't
- 31:19Speaker 6: think anyone could have done Woody's part as well.
- 31:23Speaker 1: Yeah, I like that.
- 31:24Speaker 4: I like that take.
- 31:25Speaker 1: I heard that A little trivia was that apparently Chris
- 31:29Speaker 1: Farley was up for the Randy Quaid part, and he
- 31:32Speaker 1: would have been He would have been great and too much.
- 31:35Speaker 5: He might have been too big for.
- 31:37Speaker 1: Yeah, that's true too.
- 31:39Speaker 4: Maybe I don't know, would have done a cartwheel at.
- 31:43Speaker 1: Oh dude that that strip club scene would have been amazing.
- 31:49Speaker 1: That would have been so good.
- 31:51Speaker 4: That's a good call.
- 31:53Speaker 1: Well, I actually went and picked Randy Quaid. I really
- 31:55Speaker 1: liked what he was doing in this and man, some
- 31:58Speaker 1: of the some of the things he did in this
- 32:02Speaker 1: him sitting in that urinal.
- 32:04Speaker 4: That that's one of the main things I picture in
- 32:06Speaker 4: my head from one of the like scene pictures when
- 32:08Speaker 4: I think of this.
- 32:09Speaker 8: Movie, him with the newspapers him to drink and he
- 32:16Speaker 8: like shakes it off and then pulls up that big
- 32:18Speaker 8: like that like his face and that whole physical.
- 32:24Speaker 1: Or like when when he's being really quiet in the
- 32:28Speaker 1: back and it was like, you know, he's not too
- 32:30Speaker 1: freaked out, and then you look back and he's just
- 32:31Speaker 1: like that is freaked out. Its scared to death. He
- 32:38Speaker 1: did some fun things. I enjoyed him in this Love that.
- 32:42Speaker 4: That's a great pick. Uh. I'll take Lynn Shay here,
- 32:46Speaker 4: the landlady that we talked about already.
- 32:48Speaker 1: She's so memorable.
- 32:50Speaker 4: She's incredible. She's been really good in a bunch of movies.
- 32:54Speaker 4: Just asks the grossest, weirdest characters and it's like a
- 33:00Speaker 4: normal Yeah. God, she has one of my favorite lines
- 33:06Speaker 4: from the movie that I know. I just loved her.
- 33:11Speaker 4: I thought she was so funny. She's not in it
- 33:13Speaker 4: very much either, but man, she's so good it cracks
- 33:18Speaker 4: me up.
- 33:19Speaker 1: That's really good.
- 33:20Speaker 4: Richard Tyson is in this movie for a hot minute
- 33:23Speaker 4: from Kindergarten Cop.
- 33:24Speaker 1: The ba Yeah, oh yeah, I loved that. Dude.
- 33:30Speaker 4: I was like, who is this guy? No, this guy?
- 33:32Speaker 4: It took me forever to figure out who he was.
- 33:34Speaker 1: I kind of wish he was Sea Bass now in
- 33:37Speaker 1: Dumb and Dumber because it's pretty much the same. Yeah, yeah,
- 33:44Speaker 1: that's pretty great.
- 33:45Speaker 4: Uh, Rob's favorite Chris Elliott was in it for hot minute.
- 33:51Speaker 4: I do too. Rob doesn't care for him.
- 33:56Speaker 1: He there's just a few see and things where I don't.
- 34:02Speaker 1: I really liked him in Ships Creek Scary Movie two
- 34:06Speaker 1: is really funny with the little hand.
- 34:11Speaker 4: Yes, what about the.
- 34:14Speaker 1: Cabin Boy. I don't know that I actually saw all
- 34:17Speaker 1: of Cabin Boy. It's so ridiculous. But there's been like
- 34:24Speaker 1: the stuff he didn't Groundhog Day I didn't love. There's
- 34:27Speaker 1: some other things. Let him do.
- 34:29Speaker 5: Anything in that? Yeah, the normal guy. Yeah, did you
- 34:33Speaker 5: ever see Get a Life at TV show? No, I
- 34:37Speaker 5: don't think you can officially judge Chris.
- 34:40Speaker 1: You have like it, So now I'm just gonna have
- 34:44Speaker 1: to go and watch every Chrys Eliot it. Well. Uh yeah,
- 34:51Speaker 1: I really enjoyed Ship's Creek and what he did in that,
- 34:54Speaker 1: So yeah, you like you like.
- 35:02Speaker 4: One.
- 35:03Speaker 1: Vanessa Angel was somebody that I liked. I thought she
- 35:05Speaker 1: was pretty great. Is miss Claudia. I feel like I
- 35:10Speaker 1: didn't really see her in much she was in that.
- 35:13Speaker 1: I think was there a weird science show. Yes, I
- 35:16Speaker 1: think that is how I knew her.
- 35:21Speaker 9: And then this and I thought, you know she played
- 35:24Speaker 9: it well, yeah, they have her.
- 35:32Speaker 1: Dressed up and a lot of very yeah, sexy outfits.
- 35:39Speaker 5: And.
- 35:42Speaker 1: Yes, but I love the one where you know she's
- 35:47Speaker 1: you know, wearing something very low cut and like none
- 35:50Speaker 1: of the guys are interested, and then they bring the sheep.
- 35:56Speaker 1: Farmers enjoyed that whole bit.
- 36:00Speaker 5: Mm hm.
- 36:00Speaker 1: That was a pretty funny montage. But she was pretty good.
- 36:03Speaker 1: I liked her.
- 36:05Speaker 4: Yeah, I liked her too, I'm with you.
- 36:08Speaker 1: And we also had John Popper from Blues Traveler show up.
- 36:12Speaker 4: He was great.
- 36:13Speaker 1: Yeah, that was interesting and then you got to see
- 36:16Speaker 1: him as an amishman at the end, big Beard.
- 36:21Speaker 4: Just fun.
- 36:21Speaker 1: Yeah, that was about all I wrote down. Do you
- 36:23Speaker 1: guys have anybody else?
- 36:26Speaker 4: No? Particularly?
- 36:27Speaker 1: All right, well, then let's go to our favorite scene
- 36:30Speaker 1: and let's choose.
- 36:31Speaker 4: The dingus the dingos.
- 36:34Speaker 1: So dingas is quite simple, really, dingus dingus.
- 36:38Speaker 4: I can talk about my dingas all night long. Alright, Max,
- 36:42Speaker 4: what's your favorite scene for me?
- 36:43Speaker 5: It's the opening the hook end of the alarm clock,
- 36:46Speaker 5: right one.
- 36:46Speaker 6: It's a beautiful morning starts and then just showing his
- 36:50Speaker 6: horrible life, like cut ripping his jacket, like that whole
- 36:53Speaker 6: scene to me is I love it. I think it's
- 36:56Speaker 6: like perfect, Like the timing and the editing on that
- 36:59Speaker 6: is so perfeck to show how horrible his life has gotten.
- 37:03Speaker 5: And I just love that.
- 37:04Speaker 6: And it's like for me, it's like, Okay, we sort
- 37:06Speaker 6: of have this movie starting, and there's some funny stuff
- 37:08Speaker 6: from the beginning, but.
- 37:09Speaker 5: From like there, it's like, okay, now, it's just now
- 37:13Speaker 5: we're in the super deep funny parts, like let's go.
- 37:16Speaker 5: I don't love that.
- 37:17Speaker 6: And when I see that, and that's when I get
- 37:19Speaker 6: like excited, like Okay, the movie started, So for me,
- 37:23Speaker 6: that's the same.
- 37:24Speaker 1: I love it. I think the one that I feel
- 37:29Speaker 1: like I probably quote the most is a montage of
- 37:34Speaker 1: Roy working on the farm, pretending to be amish. He
- 37:38Speaker 1: milks the ball, he cuts off horse hooves. I love.
- 37:47Speaker 1: I love it later on too, when you see Buttercup
- 37:50Speaker 1: is just a little shorter than he lets go of
- 37:56Speaker 1: the side of the house when he hears the I
- 38:02Speaker 1: enjoyed all that very much.
- 38:04Speaker 4: I love that too. I had that one. I also
- 38:08Speaker 4: love when he he sees the lady when he doesn't
- 38:12Speaker 4: get milk because all the free beets are gone. And
- 38:15Speaker 4: then he sees the lady with the baby and he
- 38:17Speaker 4: dripples coffee, my god, which is bad enough coffee on
- 38:24Speaker 4: the baby. But then we find out he stole the
- 38:27Speaker 4: bottle and puts the milk in his coffee.
- 38:30Speaker 3: Uh.
- 38:30Speaker 6: And the really funny part on that one too, is
- 38:32Speaker 6: like his zippers open when he comes walking up to
- 38:34Speaker 6: the baby.
- 38:35Speaker 5: I don't know, you know, Oh, okay, the.
- 38:43Speaker 1: Coffee.
- 38:46Speaker 5: There's a lot of coffee birds.
- 38:48Speaker 4: Yeah, that is true. That is true. And then it
- 38:51Speaker 4: goes right into the saving the land lady and then.
- 38:55Speaker 5: Oh god, baby, and he's like, now that's hot coffee.
- 39:03Speaker 4: And then into them having sex so he can work
- 39:06Speaker 4: off the rent.
- 39:07Speaker 1: Working off the rent is up there. Yeah, I would
- 39:10Speaker 1: take that hole that way up to it.
- 39:12Speaker 4: Yeah, it's so great.
- 39:14Speaker 1: That could definitely be it. I love that she's so gross.
- 39:18Speaker 4: In that bed. God, that's so funny, so funny. But
- 39:26Speaker 4: do you have any other runner ups?
- 39:27Speaker 1: Max?
- 39:29Speaker 5: Oh Man, I mean there is like a lot of them.
- 39:33Speaker 5: I love seeing like.
- 39:36Speaker 6: Big urns, like all the stuff he does after he wins,
- 39:40Speaker 6: like he takes his hand and throws the audience and
- 39:43Speaker 6: then it's just like a part of like.
- 39:45Speaker 5: What are you gonna do that?
- 39:46Speaker 4: The lot I can do, I can do whatever.
- 39:53Speaker 6: That one or the one where it's like the first
- 39:55Speaker 6: time they show big ern like after like when they
- 39:58Speaker 6: get to Reno or whatever, and it's just like that interview.
- 40:01Speaker 5: It's like him walking with the.
- 40:02Speaker 6: Lady and just saying all those things in the interview
- 40:05Speaker 6: and then he likes wading for the first time and
- 40:07Speaker 6: he's just like unapologetically.
- 40:10Speaker 5: Just like.
- 40:13Speaker 4: It's just the worst. Yeah, it's really funny.
- 40:17Speaker 1: I love that.
- 40:18Speaker 4: I also just love the whole like the sports scene
- 40:20Speaker 4: of the Last Bowling you know game.
- 40:24Speaker 1: Yeah, it's great.
- 40:25Speaker 5: It's pretty great again Montage game.
- 40:29Speaker 4: It's so good. Him pooping in the urinal, like we
- 40:32Speaker 4: said earlier, is wonderful.
- 40:35Speaker 1: It really is.
- 40:36Speaker 4: It's so funny. I maybe you think about it every
- 40:40Speaker 4: time I use the arnal like it cracks me up.
- 40:42Speaker 4: It's in my head.
- 40:43Speaker 5: How could anyone not pee in the actual urinals? God?
- 40:50Speaker 5: That story?
- 40:52Speaker 1: Which one about me?
- 40:54Speaker 5: Okay, I'm telling this again. Okay, when, yes, when Guckery
- 41:00Speaker 5: first opened, I went there just to see the architecture
- 41:04Speaker 5: and stuff with my wife and we're meeting my parents
- 41:06Speaker 5: for dinner at the restaurant in the basement of the gullery.
- 41:09Speaker 6: And so we're there and there's really no one else
- 41:12Speaker 6: out there because they're all in place, and we're just
- 41:14Speaker 6: at one of those bars, you know. And I went
- 41:16Speaker 6: to the bathroom and it's like ooh, like new fancy,
- 41:18Speaker 6: like angled angular like decorations and stuff, and so I'm
- 41:23Speaker 6: pean in the trough or whatever. And then one of
- 41:25Speaker 6: the waiters walks in and I look over my shoulder
- 41:28Speaker 6: and he looks at me weird.
- 41:28Speaker 5: And then I look down and realized it's very clear
- 41:31Speaker 5: that I'm peen in the sink.
- 41:36Speaker 1: Clearly happened every single night. Dude, you were not the
- 41:40Speaker 1: only person.
- 41:40Speaker 6: I don't know, but it was like clearly a mirror
- 41:43Speaker 6: on my trunk and I'm Pean in the sink. And
- 41:45Speaker 6: I finished up when I run out like Anna, and
- 41:48Speaker 6: I'm like, we have to go, and she's like why.
- 41:50Speaker 5: Like just finish your drink.
- 41:51Speaker 4: We have to go.
- 41:51Speaker 5: And she's like why, I'm like, we have to go.
- 41:53Speaker 5: And as we're sitting there, like other waiters are coming
- 41:55Speaker 5: out just to clearly just look at me and then
- 41:57Speaker 5: go back, and I'm like, okay, we have to go.
- 42:00Speaker 6: So like as we leave, what's going on? I tell her, Oh,
- 42:03Speaker 6: like do we even go to dinner? Do we have
- 42:05Speaker 6: to go somewhere else or whatever? And then like a
- 42:08Speaker 6: long time later, like I remember because Robert there and
- 42:11Speaker 6: he's like you, I was like.
- 42:17Speaker 1: It happened a lot. It was usually much older, older gentleman.
- 42:23Speaker 1: But I actually was just there. I saw they have
- 42:25Speaker 1: a musical there right now called Come from Away, and
- 42:28Speaker 1: I was there, and I definitely I was like I
- 42:30Speaker 1: get it. I get it.
- 42:34Speaker 5: You know, once you see to think that why would
- 42:36Speaker 5: there be a beer right on Galia?
- 42:46Speaker 4: There is something, something is indicator. There's no more feeling
- 42:54Speaker 4: though than when you're like instantly you know you why didn't.
- 43:02Speaker 1: Coming out just to look at you and then go back?
- 43:04Speaker 4: That's that's good, funny.
- 43:07Speaker 5: So I can totally feel what Randy Claid making that.
- 43:10Speaker 4: Yes, Oh that's fun.
- 43:14Speaker 1: Oh it's so good.
- 43:17Speaker 4: I've never heard that.
- 43:18Speaker 5: Love.
- 43:19Speaker 1: I love it so much.
- 43:20Speaker 6: It's like a story in Anthony from like my family,
- 43:23Speaker 6: my parents and stuff, because I actually told them and
- 43:25Speaker 6: dinner and they were just like.
- 43:26Speaker 1: Dying, dying, Yeah, yeah, we have to go, we have
- 43:31Speaker 1: to go now, to go right now?
- 43:33Speaker 5: Like it was an interesting test to see her like
- 43:36Speaker 5: will She's like, without any explanation, will you just we're now,
- 43:40Speaker 5: we're running.
- 43:41Speaker 4: I want you to be on my side here.
- 43:44Speaker 5: You have to go pack your bags with the country now.
- 43:48Speaker 5: I will tell you later.
- 43:49Speaker 4: But we have to find a new life.
- 43:53Speaker 1: It's good.
- 43:56Speaker 4: That's wonderful.
- 43:57Speaker 1: Are there any other scenes you guys want to bring
- 43:59Speaker 1: up up?
- 44:01Speaker 4: We mentioned all the three that I brought up.
- 44:05Speaker 5: Yeah, I think I think I'm good.
- 44:07Speaker 4: I think I'm good.
- 44:08Speaker 1: I'd be super cool picking the Yeah, working off the
- 44:13Speaker 1: rent before that is so ridiculous.
- 44:16Speaker 5: That's a great thing.
- 44:18Speaker 4: Love that we can do the dual dingus. We can
- 44:20Speaker 4: do all the montage.
- 44:22Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, track it out? Rules here, no rules.
- 44:27Speaker 4: Well, let's get into some of these great quotes. It's
- 44:29Speaker 4: time to show me the mom Nash show me all right, Max,
- 44:40Speaker 4: say several.
- 44:40Speaker 1: I'm excited to hear something, and I.
- 44:43Speaker 6: Want to say the one that that the lady says
- 44:47Speaker 6: in the bed. So I'm just going to leave that
- 44:49Speaker 6: one because I want to hear him which.
- 44:52Speaker 4: One after the.
- 44:55Speaker 1: Yes, Yes, okay, I would love to hear that.
- 44:59Speaker 4: We'll go first. He's got a deep reservoirs.
- 45:03Speaker 1: Why don't you start off with that.
- 45:04Speaker 4: What is it about good sex that makes me have
- 45:07Speaker 4: to crap? I guess it's all that pumping, pumping dump.
- 45:11Speaker 4: You really jarred something, loose tiger.
- 45:13Speaker 1: Oh my god, my little roy toy to stop it.
- 45:23Speaker 1: It wasn't that bad.
- 45:26Speaker 4: He's just puking the whole time.
- 45:31Speaker 5: I say that line.
- 45:35Speaker 1: Good sense.
- 45:35Speaker 4: It makes me.
- 45:39Speaker 1: It is not hot loose the tiger yuckross.
- 45:52Speaker 4: Also when he says I'm unable to have children nasty
- 45:55Speaker 4: cheese grating accident as a child. Uh, you want to
- 46:03Speaker 4: say something.
- 46:04Speaker 1: Rob Oh, I hope you don't mind. I got up
- 46:06Speaker 1: a little early, so I took the liberty of milking
- 46:08Speaker 1: your cow for you. Yeah, it took a little while
- 46:10Speaker 1: to get her warmed up. She sure is a stubborn one.
- 46:13Speaker 1: Then pow all at once. We don't have a cow.
- 46:18Speaker 1: We have a bull o bus.
- 46:23Speaker 5: That so much fun, so much better.
- 46:30Speaker 1: I love all the months and bit, so i'd sooner
- 46:33Speaker 1: get monthsened out here in the middle of nowhere, you know,
- 46:37Speaker 1: munsend to have the whole world in the palm of
- 46:39Speaker 1: your hand and then blow it. It's a figure of speech.
- 46:42Speaker 1: It's a figure speech, and then you hear it somebody.
- 46:46Speaker 1: I think she says it later. I hope he doesn't
- 46:49Speaker 1: get munsened out here in the middle of no And
- 46:54Speaker 1: it's just set up so well because in the very
- 46:56Speaker 1: beginning he's like, your name is going to stand for winning,
- 47:00Speaker 1: or you're gonna be like Munson will be DiMaggio to
- 47:04Speaker 1: baseball and United to football. Then they're using it as Yeah.
- 47:10Speaker 1: I love that so much. Hey, everybody, there's cloud coming,
- 47:15Speaker 1: Run for your lives.
- 47:19Speaker 4: I forgot about that one that made.
- 47:20Speaker 1: Me like it was good. I love when uh, Bill
- 47:27Speaker 1: Murray and Wood you are in the diner or the restaurant, uh,
- 47:32Speaker 1: and the waitresses like tangery and tab which is a
- 47:36Speaker 1: ridiculous Yeah, drink, keep them coming, sweets, I got a
- 47:41Speaker 1: long drive. Do me a favor, will you? Would you
- 47:44Speaker 1: mind washing off that perfume before you come back to
- 47:46Speaker 1: our table?
- 47:47Speaker 4: So good.
- 47:50Speaker 5: The worst the line he does right after that, when
- 47:54Speaker 5: he looks to the ladies like.
- 47:57Speaker 6: No, not you, you you actually takes on that he
- 48:01Speaker 6: was not even supposed to interact with those extras, so
- 48:03Speaker 6: they didn't expect him to talk to He's just so mean.
- 48:08Speaker 1: It's so mean, dude. I love that. Yeah, why don't
- 48:12Speaker 1: you keep saying something, Oh yeah.
- 48:14Speaker 6: So the one I always quote all the time is
- 48:16Speaker 6: where they're just sitting at the bardy urns and they
- 48:17Speaker 6: do next week We're going a psychic can out.
- 48:20Speaker 5: Now that all the time, people, I'm not even talking
- 48:26Speaker 5: to you. I love that Randy Queen one, which is
- 48:31Speaker 5: like it must be hard to spank your monkey. He's like,
- 48:33Speaker 5: you gotta bunk. Like I just was like na that one,
- 48:39Speaker 5: like the Small World, and he got unbelievable kits right
- 48:45Speaker 5: his speech, his whole speech he does like in the
- 48:48Speaker 5: very first bowling match when he's like bolling and it's like,
- 48:51Speaker 5: you know, comes down to this role Roy Muson a
- 48:54Speaker 5: man top of bowling, even cracking who strikes. He's the
- 48:58Speaker 5: seventy nine, he's champion. He's got one foot in the
- 49:01Speaker 5: pan and wanted the pressure cooker. Believe me, it's fuller
- 49:04Speaker 5: right now, right about now, glad. It feels like an
- 49:06Speaker 5: over stuffed back in peaner bag. And but it's kind
- 49:09Speaker 5: of like I'm about to explode browurst you mine, I
- 49:14Speaker 5: wasn't talking when you were? Was I talking at loud?
- 49:18Speaker 4: He?
- 49:23Speaker 6: And then I love that during the montage of like
- 49:26Speaker 6: the final one where they cut to like that interview
- 49:29Speaker 6: and he's like, so, where have you been the last
- 49:31Speaker 6: fifteen years or whatever? He's like, well, I see, yeah,
- 49:36Speaker 6: drinking by to drink in. I see, well are you
- 49:39Speaker 6: still drinking?
- 49:40Speaker 5: And he's like, oh no, put that, why are you buying?
- 49:48Speaker 5: I always quote the one now, uh, like I don't
- 49:51Speaker 5: peak when I drink. I peak when I don't.
- 49:53Speaker 1: I love that one.
- 49:55Speaker 6: I like to do when he's like, okay, can you
- 49:57Speaker 6: get sick from drinking your pists? It's like, I think, so,
- 50:03Speaker 6: it doesn't nothing to do with the movie. It's so funny,
- 50:07Speaker 6: some of the weird little ones, you go. I was like,
- 50:09Speaker 6: this was like eighty R but he's like.
- 50:11Speaker 5: Jefferson's on ice. Look at that. I love Sherman. You know,
- 50:15Speaker 5: they just like throw this. And then this one I
- 50:18Speaker 5: always do at restaurants whenever they have numbers. I was like,
- 50:21Speaker 5: you know, they're sixty four are supposed to be the
- 50:23Speaker 5: best in the city. Yeah, that forty one too bad.
- 50:27Speaker 6: I don't know why they like And then like all
- 50:32Speaker 6: this stuff, like when he's like first getting that first interview,
- 50:36Speaker 6: when he's like, uh, he's like, oh, that's not even
- 50:38Speaker 6: a case. That one was a stone face, like, let's
- 50:40Speaker 6: not even talk about it. I pulled out really.
- 50:48Speaker 5: Like at the very end, and it's like, uh, like
- 50:51Speaker 5: after Winds was already first's like, yeah, there's pressure. I
- 50:53Speaker 5: want to get me back out of the hook. You know.
- 50:58Speaker 4: What's the other one?
- 50:59Speaker 6: She asked him right up, which when it postes the
- 51:00Speaker 6: biggest threat to in the term, and he's like me,
- 51:02Speaker 6: if I get drunk and fall down and hurt myself,
- 51:04Speaker 6: I might lose.
- 51:04Speaker 5: Like it's so funny, so good, and I love that
- 51:08Speaker 5: he's rewarded, and.
- 51:11Speaker 6: They give him a little come up and it's like
- 51:12Speaker 6: they hint that that guy is going to go beat
- 51:14Speaker 6: him up, but like she never pays a price.
- 51:18Speaker 4: I kind of like that dude, And that line said
- 51:21Speaker 4: earlier after he wins, when he's like, I finally have
- 51:24Speaker 4: enough money to do whatever I want and I won't
- 51:26Speaker 4: get in any trouble. I can do anything now and
- 51:29Speaker 4: get a lawyer finally bigger and it's above the law.
- 51:33Speaker 6: And it's like a shot from above and his hair
- 51:37Speaker 6: is fully like off and it's just like he's like
- 51:40Speaker 6: bomb spot.
- 51:40Speaker 4: It's so good.
- 51:44Speaker 5: Oh.
- 51:44Speaker 6: When she does that like this on him, he's like, oh, girl,
- 51:46Speaker 6: you still got your good stuff when they say like
- 51:50Speaker 6: a samo, I don't know.
- 51:53Speaker 5: I think those are all my favorites.
- 51:56Speaker 1: Sometimes when I wake up in the morning, mister McCracken's
- 51:59Speaker 1: already their.
- 52:03Speaker 6: Commercial once, the one there's where he's like sitting there,
- 52:07Speaker 6: He's like, I was never in a car before, I
- 52:08Speaker 6: never stayed in a fancy hotel before, never saw a man.
- 52:11Speaker 5: Because before.
- 52:16Speaker 1: When they do the shaving cream bit, so good and
- 52:20Speaker 1: then the hard cut to him kind of on his
- 52:25Speaker 1: so good, it's really great.
- 52:26Speaker 5: He was just the one that you're on a gravy
- 52:28Speaker 5: train with biscuit wheels of the basket wheels where she
- 52:34Speaker 5: checks him in the jounket and he goes, Mommy, you
- 52:36Speaker 5: must have a wide foot. You got both of them.
- 52:43Speaker 4: How about the one where he's like, half the dresses
- 52:46Speaker 4: you've got you need you needs to wear?
- 52:49Speaker 1: He said that one earlier.
- 52:52Speaker 4: Sorry, oh my god.
- 52:53Speaker 5: It's so funny where he goes out just be quiet, like,
- 52:57Speaker 5: oh good to my sack? Are you games? What did
- 53:01Speaker 5: I just say? I think I trk my sick like that.
- 53:09Speaker 4: I also loved the bit when he gets they get
- 53:11Speaker 4: there to register for the tournament and she's like, oh,
- 53:14Speaker 4: we got a problem your let's see, let's see dudes
- 53:20Speaker 4: for sixteen years plus penalties plus interest, it comes to
- 53:25Speaker 4: thirty eight dollars.
- 53:27Speaker 5: And then I also like how that low them out
- 53:29Speaker 5: and they can't afford that.
- 53:30Speaker 1: I still can't. I guess we're out.
- 53:33Speaker 5: And that's one of my favorite like through bits is
- 53:36Speaker 5: every time he's trying to show someone his ring, they
- 53:38Speaker 5: just want to hand.
- 53:39Speaker 6: And then it pays off when he's trying to show
- 53:42Speaker 6: him his hand and they see that all they see
- 53:44Speaker 6: is the ring affect.
- 53:46Speaker 1: It's so good, it's brilliant. I love this lap dance
- 53:52Speaker 1: is so fun I feel like I should be paying you.
- 53:57Speaker 4: That's great. What about early when Roy's trying to sell
- 54:03Speaker 4: out the Bowling alle and he's like, what about a
- 54:05Speaker 4: gross of glow in the dark conments from the novelty
- 54:07Speaker 4: machine in the bathroom? I mean, those are funny even
- 54:09Speaker 4: if you're alone.
- 54:11Speaker 5: You know what I'm talking about, right, you know.
- 54:12Speaker 4: What I'm talking about, right? And you call this a
- 54:15Speaker 4: bowling alley?
- 54:16Speaker 1: So funny. I like when Ishmael was like, I didn't
- 54:21Speaker 1: be the one. I didn't want to be the one
- 54:23Speaker 1: to tell him. But with those narrow hips that girl
- 54:26Speaker 1: couldn't have more than six or seven children.
- 54:29Speaker 5: Another there it is.
- 54:31Speaker 4: Six or seven another I like the one that by
- 54:35Speaker 4: right by.
- 54:39Speaker 1: The end of the movie, I'll I like she checked out.
- 54:48Speaker 1: She left with two guys, two guys like us. No,
- 54:51Speaker 1: they were good looking.
- 54:53Speaker 4: They look so sad after she says that, yeah, they just.
- 54:57Speaker 6: Had that recurring joke where they're like toudy the potato bar,
- 55:01Speaker 6: like the number of tapping of the potato bars and
- 55:03Speaker 6: that's funny.
- 55:04Speaker 1: I don't remember that.
- 55:06Speaker 5: So they like they're like they're eating is like you
- 55:08Speaker 5: can go to the potato bar and then they're up
- 55:10Speaker 5: there and like there's like a reference to how many
- 55:13Speaker 5: toppies around the potato bar, and then like the krack
- 55:15Speaker 5: and does the thing. He's like, man, how many years
- 55:18Speaker 5: has it been? Probably one for.
- 55:19Speaker 6: Every top and on the bar, and then like the
- 55:23Speaker 6: John Topper guy at the end of his speech is like,
- 55:26Speaker 6: I don't forget our potato.
- 55:27Speaker 4: Bar was like.
- 55:31Speaker 5: Hammered on the potato bar. Like this movie was so
- 55:37Speaker 5: big on.
- 55:38Speaker 6: Me, influence on me that I went to like Taho
- 55:41Speaker 6: once for vacation with my parents, and I made him
- 55:44Speaker 6: take me to Reno so I could go to the
- 55:45Speaker 6: bowling stadium.
- 55:46Speaker 5: Where they shout this, dude, it's crazy.
- 55:50Speaker 6: I highly recommend if you're ever in Rino. It's wild
- 55:53Speaker 6: to see, like it's like two hundred lanes in one row.
- 55:57Speaker 6: It's crazy, like you couldn't we couldn't play there or anything,
- 56:00Speaker 6: and it wants anything going on. You can go in
- 56:02Speaker 6: there and look at it.
- 56:03Speaker 5: It's crazy, like it's truly a big stadium just for boys.
- 56:07Speaker 1: That's cool, wid.
- 56:11Speaker 5: Yeah, but the only reason they were there, my parents
- 56:13Speaker 5: are like probably just like what's why. Okay, come on,
- 56:17Speaker 5: you gotta go.
- 56:21Speaker 4: I loved the one announcer when he was like, you know,
- 56:24Speaker 4: Roy Munson has two chances left to win this tournament,
- 56:26Speaker 4: slim and none, and I think Slim may have just
- 56:29Speaker 4: left the root left down.
- 56:31Speaker 1: That's good.
- 56:32Speaker 4: It's just a sportscaster thing. I loved it.
- 56:35Speaker 1: That's cool. They got Chris Berman to get in there too.
- 56:38Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 56:38Speaker 1: I love that guy.
- 56:40Speaker 6: I like that line where he's like he's like I
- 56:41Speaker 6: got one vice and then he like drinks that drink
- 56:44Speaker 6: and slapt that lady's like all right, two, very good.
- 56:49Speaker 1: And he's still wearing the priest collar.
- 56:52Speaker 4: What is that.
- 56:55Speaker 5: When he makes them outside you need his food. That
- 56:57Speaker 5: one's pretty funny.
- 56:58Speaker 4: You go outside, like, yeah, he's either pudding or something. Right,
- 57:04Speaker 4: it's gross.
- 57:05Speaker 5: There has to be just like Miles about taking Bill
- 57:09Speaker 5: Murray just ripping on. Oh yeah, but I want to
- 57:11Speaker 5: see Yeah, dude, twentieth anniversary, Come on, do it. Release
- 57:17Speaker 5: the cracking.
- 57:18Speaker 1: Day, release my crack.
- 57:25Speaker 4: That's really great.
- 57:27Speaker 1: Well, you guys said all mine.
- 57:29Speaker 4: Yeah, I think I'm good.
- 57:30Speaker 1: All right, got more Max, No, I think we said
- 57:34Speaker 1: it's good. I love it. It's good. All right, let's
- 57:37Speaker 1: go to mugs.
- 57:38Speaker 5: Boohoo.
- 57:38Speaker 1: Moments Wow, the crying game.
- 57:43Speaker 4: Thought maybe one interesting. I thought maybe.
- 57:49Speaker 1: At the end when they're at the table and he's like,
- 57:51Speaker 1: and he told us how you got him to quit
- 57:53Speaker 1: all that, and we're mighty proud of you.
- 57:57Speaker 4: Yeah, that did get me. I felt bad, but it
- 58:00Speaker 4: got me.
- 58:00Speaker 1: Yeah, I get it. I mean it was pretty tender,
- 58:03Speaker 1: even even though.
- 58:04Speaker 4: He was like and he told us how how Claudia
- 58:07Speaker 4: was such a horror it looks like, or how you
- 58:10Speaker 4: got Claudia to stop being such a horror whatever?
- 58:13Speaker 5: Right, right, I have no content of power trigger.
- 58:16Speaker 4: I was like, there's nothing, doesn't doesn't take a lot.
- 58:21Speaker 1: Got me. I thought it was either going to be
- 58:23Speaker 1: that or they're like hug, but it's about thirty seconds
- 58:28Speaker 1: after that line.
- 58:29Speaker 5: Much.
- 58:29Speaker 4: Yeah. Sure that was the only one though, So it
- 58:32Speaker 4: was just just that one.
- 58:35Speaker 1: I'm the winner.
- 58:36Speaker 4: Ah, great job, ro great job, Thank you movie t Rivia.
- 58:41Speaker 4: Now let's see uh. Peter Fairley called the film's box
- 58:44Speaker 4: office failure the biggest disappointment of the Fairly brother's career,
- 58:49Speaker 4: attributing the failure to its release during the ninety six Olympics. Yeah,
- 58:53Speaker 4: Fairly said it was a crushing blow to their ego. However,
- 58:57Speaker 4: he said that six to eight months later, when the
- 59:00Speaker 4: film was released on home video, became a big hit. Yeah.
- 59:03Speaker 1: I saw that. They estimate that it cost twenty seven
- 59:07Speaker 1: million dollars and it only grossed twenty five.
- 59:10Speaker 4: Wow, that's crazy.
- 59:11Speaker 1: That ain't good. Yeah. Yeah, theater, I mean video, they
- 59:16Speaker 1: had so much crushed.
- 59:22Speaker 4: As is that we kind of mentioned this, But as
- 59:24Speaker 4: is the case in most of his films, Bill Murray
- 59:26Speaker 4: ad lived virtually every line he spoke, including the commercial.
- 59:31Speaker 4: He would I guess he like reads over the script,
- 59:33Speaker 4: gets the general idea and then he discards it. But yeah,
- 59:37Speaker 4: the Fairly brother said on the DVD commentary, they're glad
- 59:40Speaker 4: he did because what he had was funnier.
- 59:42Speaker 5: So that's like running away. And when they're about to
- 59:45Speaker 5: beat him off and he does that weird lit like
- 59:47Speaker 5: circle in that hot day.
- 59:50Speaker 1: Yes, so great.
- 59:54Speaker 4: Uh the oh you said this one, Max, that when
- 59:57Speaker 4: he says hi to the gals, when Bill Murray says
- 1:00:00Speaker 4: side of the gals at the other table, the not
- 1:00:03Speaker 4: you was improvised, and he apparently felt so bad about
- 1:00:06Speaker 4: it that as soon as they called cut, he like apologized,
- 1:00:10Speaker 4: I'm so sorry. It was so funny.
- 1:00:12Speaker 6: But yeah, if you watch it again, knowing that, you
- 1:00:14Speaker 6: could see one of the ladies like at the table
- 1:00:17Speaker 6: just start like almost losing her stuff. She's like, you're
- 1:00:21Speaker 6: talking to it.
- 1:00:22Speaker 4: Oh no, oh no, thought that was pretty great. According
- 1:00:28Speaker 4: to the Fairly Brothers, they didn't initially take Lynn Chase
- 1:00:31Speaker 4: seriously after having already cast her as a small role
- 1:00:35Speaker 4: in Dumb and Dumber, at the suggestion of New Line
- 1:00:37Speaker 4: Cinema and Robert Jay, who also happens to be Lynn's brother.
- 1:00:43Speaker 4: I guess I don't know who Robert.
- 1:00:44Speaker 5: She is.
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: A New Line Cinema studio.
- 1:00:48Speaker 4: Oh no, and Robert H Yeah, I don't know, they say,
- 1:00:50Speaker 4: And so I don't know, producer, maybe, yeah, maybe, I
- 1:00:53Speaker 4: don't know. Sorry, I didn't read that earlier. Apparently, However,
- 1:00:57Speaker 4: when Lynn came in to read for the movie, the
- 1:01:00Speaker 4: Fairly Brothers mistook her for a homeless person looking for
- 1:01:02Speaker 4: an ashtray. They politely tried to getting her out until
- 1:01:06Speaker 4: they realized it was Lynn.
- 1:01:08Speaker 5: In character for the reading.
- 1:01:09Speaker 4: They were blown away and didn't see anyone else with
- 1:01:12Speaker 4: a role. Say subsequently appeared in more of their films thereafter,
- 1:01:16Speaker 4: so I thought that was pretty funk.
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, she went for it.
- 1:01:22Speaker 4: I guess the bowling alley to which Woody and Bill
- 1:01:27Speaker 4: walk up several flights of stairs and which Roy asked Ernie,
- 1:01:31Speaker 4: people bowl here is apparently a real bowling alley called
- 1:01:34Speaker 4: Beaver Valley Bowl, and the alley is located on the
- 1:01:39Speaker 4: third floor of a building in Rochester, Pennsylvania, but it's
- 1:01:43Speaker 4: now closed. Because I thought that when they were going
- 1:01:45Speaker 4: up to I was like, that's weird to have a
- 1:01:47Speaker 4: bowling alley up flights of stairs. Interesting, but I guess
- 1:01:50Speaker 4: it was the thing. The back rows of fans at
- 1:01:54Speaker 4: Reno's bowling Stadium are made out of cardboard in this movie,
- 1:01:57Speaker 4: so that's fun. Well, I can look for that.
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: I guess that's a check.
- 1:02:00Speaker 4: Yeah, I didn't notice it. She was in there. In
- 1:02:05Speaker 4: the scene in the Bowling Alley restaurant just before Ishmael
- 1:02:08Speaker 4: is about to get beaten up. The three are eating
- 1:02:10Speaker 4: burgers and fries. However, Roy is eating a salad, which
- 1:02:13Speaker 4: I had noticed, and I was like, that's weird. But
- 1:02:15Speaker 4: it's because Woody's a vegan, so he just didn't want
- 1:02:19Speaker 4: to even pretend to need a burger.
- 1:02:20Speaker 5: I guess, so, let's sixty four. It looks pretty good.
- 1:02:23Speaker 4: Yeah. Throughout the movie Woodies, Roy and Vanessa Angels Claudia
- 1:02:30Speaker 4: refer to Randy Quaid as the kid, but Quaid is
- 1:02:33Speaker 4: actually older than Angel and Harrelson by sixteen and eleven years, respectively.
- 1:02:38Speaker 4: I don't know he was that old, yep, And I.
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: Thought, yeah, I thought he looked pretty good too in
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: this I usually kind of just thought of him as
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: kind of overweight, but he was like real trim. He
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: had a few scenes where he had to be shirtless.
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: I was like, Randy Quaid that dancing scene. I was like, yeah, you.
- 1:02:56Speaker 4: Buddy, he looked good good. I liked it, real good.
- 1:03:00Speaker 4: A little light on the makeup for me, but you know,
- 1:03:01Speaker 4: we'll get there. Let's see. Before the championship event with
- 1:03:07Speaker 4: Bill Murray as Ernie McCracken, director Brothers warned extras for
- 1:03:12Speaker 4: the crowd that the scene that the script called for
- 1:03:14Speaker 4: was McCracken a bowl the three strikes in a row, right,
- 1:03:17Speaker 4: and it might take hours, they said, for him to
- 1:03:19Speaker 4: accomplish such a feat, and for the crowd to temper
- 1:03:22Speaker 4: their reactions and anticipation of a long day of shooting.
- 1:03:24Speaker 4: So they were just basically like, let's all just know
- 1:03:27Speaker 4: going in, this might take a super long time. Murray
- 1:03:30Speaker 4: proceeded to bowl three strikes in a row, at which
- 1:03:32Speaker 4: point the crowd went wild. Woody, on the other hand,
- 1:03:35Speaker 4: was apparently a terrible bowler, and according to the Fairly
- 1:03:37Speaker 4: Brothers maybe got one or two strikes throughout filming. But
- 1:03:41Speaker 4: that's pretty crazy. Bill Murray just dinner three strikes in
- 1:03:45Speaker 4: a row and just nailed it.
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: Of course he did.
- 1:03:47Speaker 4: I don't know if it was the very first scene,
- 1:03:49Speaker 4: you know, take, but it was early it sounds like,
- 1:03:51Speaker 4: so that's amazing, that's crazy, incredible, and it's funny that
- 1:03:58Speaker 4: Woody had sort of the opposite of white men Can't
- 1:04:01Speaker 4: jump on this movie when he wasn't a very good bowler.
- 1:04:04Speaker 4: They had to figure it out. The band playing at
- 1:04:07Speaker 4: the bar while Randy Quad's Ishmael dances with the other
- 1:04:10Speaker 4: man's girlfriend is the same band from There's Something About
- 1:04:13Speaker 4: Mary that plays between scenes.
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: Yep, I recognize that guy.
- 1:04:17Speaker 5: Yea Jonathan. He's in a couple of their movies.
- 1:04:21Speaker 4: Oh okay, nice, love it.
- 1:04:23Speaker 5: He's a really nice guy.
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: Nice.
- 1:04:26Speaker 4: Oh, that's cool. That was all the trivia I had.
- 1:04:29Speaker 4: Did you guys have others?
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: I had a couple of things about people up for roles,
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: one really weird one where the Fairly Brothers met with
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: Michael Richards. You know, the guy played Kramer and Seinfel. Okay,
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: they talked to him privately to discuss a role in
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: the movie. However, the conversation didn't go very well. There's
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: a disagreement, and at one point Richards excused himself to
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: use the private bathroom in their office. After a half hour,
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: the brothers broke down the door to see if he
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: was O okay, and that's when they discovered that he
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: had climbed out the window and left. Whoa weird he's
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: a weirdo.
- 1:05:09Speaker 4: Apparently, I'm super hopped up on something or just dressed weird.
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: I don't know. Michael Keaton was originally considered for Roy Munson,
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: and I can totally see that absolutely probably been pretty great.
- 1:05:26Speaker 4: Yeah, that would have been fun.
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: Interesting And apparently Nicholas Cage turned down the role of
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: Roy as well, Okay, which is interesting. That would have
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: been a different movie.
- 1:05:37Speaker 4: Yeah, And the internet is saying that Jim Carrey was.
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: The first choice of the fair Fairly Brothers to play
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: Ernie McCracken. I don't know how you get better.
- 1:05:50Speaker 5: Than anyone else.
- 1:05:53Speaker 4: Well, he also came up with so many lines it
- 1:05:55Speaker 4: would just be it would be completely different, right, Yeah,
- 1:05:58Speaker 4: you know, yep, yeah that is that's interesting, But that
- 1:06:00Speaker 4: was all I had. Nice Max, Do we have any
- 1:06:04Speaker 4: trivia that we missed?
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: No, not that I know. Okay, all right, well, then
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: will there be a sequel? Judgment day, Sure, I saw that.
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: Apparently there have been talks. There's been talks for a
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: long time about a sequel, but the script was having
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: a bunch of issues. And this was back in like
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: twenty twenty when they were really talking about it, and
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: it's kind of stalled out at this point. But they
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: definitely have talked about it.
- 1:06:33Speaker 6: I either wanted to be a McCracken prequel or it's
- 1:06:37Speaker 6: showing him afterwards, like his ride is like now that
- 1:06:41Speaker 6: he's like really old, Like, yeah, dude, I wanted to
- 1:06:44Speaker 6: follow that character.
- 1:06:45Speaker 4: I mean Kingpin released the McCracken. It's pretty great, Like
- 1:06:49Speaker 4: as a title said earlier, bare, but yeah, I don't
- 1:06:56Speaker 4: know if any quids still doing stuff.
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: He see him be pretty unstable, Yeah.
- 1:07:04Speaker 4: Right, Yeah, he basically is the dude from Independence Day.
- 1:07:08Speaker 4: Now beyond that, dude, look up the video.
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: Yeah, I haven't really I just knew he was kind
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: of a weirdo at this point. But I think this
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: was like peak Randy Quaid because he had this and
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: Independence Day this year.
- 1:07:25Speaker 4: That's got to be pretty close.
- 1:07:27Speaker 5: And then yeah, that sort of end of the nineties
- 1:07:30Speaker 5: on peak yep.
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: Interesting But it'd be fun if they did. That'd be cool.
- 1:07:35Speaker 4: I would love to watch it.
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: Would you guys like to play a game?
- 1:07:39Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: I did a quotes game for you guys, where I'm
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: going to give you a quote from a film. Once
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: you know the film, you're going to ring in with
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: your name, and I'm gonna want three pieces of information
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: from you for three points, the name of the film,
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: the character who said the quote, and the actor who
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: played the character. If you get any of those wrong,
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: the other person can ring in and steal. There's no
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: negative points for wrong answers. All these films have something
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: in common, probably has something to do with the movie
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: we just talked about.
- 1:08:15Speaker 5: You have to do them in that order.
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: No, it doesn't matter any order. But yeah, you can
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: ring in at any time if you know the theme
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: for a point you guys, ready, yes, all right, here's
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: the first one. Obviously you're not a golfer, Max, Max,
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: Uh what is that?
- 1:08:42Speaker 5: It's the big les.
- 1:08:45Speaker 4: So you're saying the character and the actor, now.
- 1:08:48Speaker 5: Okay, big lebaski. The actor is Jeff Bridges.
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: Boom, and.
- 1:08:56Speaker 5: What is it?
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: And then his character's name, oh little, Yeah, that works.
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: I would have taken the dude or dude a reno,
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: but yeah, all three Boom?
- 1:09:15Speaker 4: What's his first name? Didn't we learn that once? It's
- 1:09:17Speaker 4: Jeffrey Lebous Jeffrey Okay, okay, Oh, three points for Max.
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: Nice, three points, nicely done. Oh and I have him
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: right there just staring at us. All right, Yeah, here
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: comes the second one.
- 1:09:36Speaker 4: If the object of the game were to get the
- 1:09:38Speaker 4: ball is close.
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: To the pins man and got it. That's incredible, crushing me.
- 1:09:50Speaker 4: You did it so early. The theme is uh yes.
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: All of these films have a scene where they're bowling
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: or at a bowling alley. I was able to use
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: some bowling references in these first quotes, but later on
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: it won't.
- 1:10:10Speaker 4: Juste you know what I mean.
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: And this one's dumb, but here you go. Number three.
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: We're gonna score tonight. We're gonna score tonight. We're gonna rock,
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: we're gonna roll, We're gonna bop, we're gonna bowl. We're
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: gonna score, score, score, score score tonight. And this is
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: being sung five four three two.
- 1:10:41Speaker 5: Whyn't that be grease or something?
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: Got it? You got it? It's grease too.
- 1:10:50Speaker 5: I don't know anything beyond that.
- 1:10:52Speaker 4: Yeah, that's amazing.
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: It's this one pretty much. You can only get the
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: the one point because it's the entire cast soccer channing.
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: That's the first one, that's in the second. Okay, let's
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: this was a mistake. Nicely done. Max is kicking and
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: he's kicking your butt. You got to get on the
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: board here. Let's go to number four. Okay, everyone team
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: vote here by show of hands, just put it up
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: when you make a decision. Who here agrees with Brook
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: and thinks I should leave the bowling team, and then
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: everyone puts their hands up. He looks at one guy
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: in particular and he says, band of brothers. You should
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: rent it sometime.
- 1:11:47Speaker 4: Yes, just because they go bowling. I think at some
- 1:11:52Speaker 4: point she's out of my league.
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: It's not that.
- 1:11:59Speaker 5: Brook. No, and you know.
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: It was just a bowling scene. Max, you have any idea, No,
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: no clue. This was a movie called The Breakup with
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: Vince Vaughan. Vince Vaughn is doing the whole thing. Jennifer
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: Anison doesn't want him on the bowling team. He looks sad.
- 1:12:18Speaker 4: So that once.
- 1:12:19Speaker 10: There's a bunch of movies in that genre where it's
- 1:12:22Speaker 10: like the Vince Vaughn type, like when him and Owen
- 1:12:25Speaker 10: Wilson and they did like different combos of those people,
- 1:12:28Speaker 10: like Romantic movie that I just skipped over because I'm.
- 1:12:31Speaker 5: Like, this is the same as.
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: Yeah, this one was not as like fun as some
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: of the other ones. It got kind of like, yeah
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: that is what I remember. A bomber. Yeah, yeah, I
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: feel you. All right, let's go number five when in
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: public a royal personage must refrain from chewing gum bugs.
- 1:12:55Speaker 4: Oh but it's the other guy. Well it's King Ralph.
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: Yeah, it is King Ralph. Nice.
- 1:13:00Speaker 4: But I don't remember the butler's name or name, okay?
- 1:13:06Speaker 5: Or is it?
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: Is it?
- 1:13:08Speaker 4: But he's John Goodman saying it?
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: He's not saying it. However, I didn't go through the
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: whole thing and John Goodman, I was going.
- 1:13:18Speaker 4: To say, is okay. Well, then I'll get to the
- 1:13:20Speaker 4: second guy, John Goodman and King.
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: I will give you one and a half for that
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: because you're not getting the other person.
- 1:13:31Speaker 4: Who says fair, So I get one half total.
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: You get one and a half. Well, actually no, because
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: you can get I.
- 1:13:42Speaker 4: Usually double up. I think right, you can get yeah.
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: Two and a half points because he's or no, yes,
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: you can get two points. Yeah his character name, but
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: you're not getting the other character name. So I'm only
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: going to give you another half. Does that make sense?
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: You're getting one point and then two half points?
- 1:14:01Speaker 4: Yes, two points, which is two points.
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: I'm in Max. Do you know who his.
- 1:14:08Speaker 4: Buddy is? In the I can't pick the guy's it's
- 1:14:12Speaker 4: not it's not but he was in it.
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: He's the bad guy.
- 1:14:16Speaker 4: Yeah, he's the other guy.
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: He's the bad guy. It's Peter O'Toole tool and his
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: character name was Duncan Phipps. I got the movie, but
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: you got that really quick, dude. Nicely done. Where are
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: we after five?
- 1:14:32Speaker 4: Max is eight? I have two? So scary?
- 1:14:36Speaker 5: Did you give me my point for guessing the same?
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: I did? Nice?
- 1:14:41Speaker 4: I think, I think I did. I remember moving it
- 1:14:44Speaker 4: from seven to eight, so that was the only one
- 1:14:46Speaker 4: point you got, I think right.
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: Yeah, And from here on, it's not any bowling related
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: quotes that suggest quotes from the movie.
- 1:14:56Speaker 4: Oh, I see the quote isn't bowling related. It is
- 1:14:58Speaker 4: still in a bowling out there has a bowling ali
- 1:15:01Speaker 4: in it.
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: Correct, So here we go. Number six. It's pretty much
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: my favorite animal. It's like a lion and a tiger
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: mixed Max.
- 1:15:12Speaker 6: Napoleon dynamite boom said by Napoleon dynamite boom.
- 1:15:18Speaker 5: John got it?
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: Yeah, nicely done. More read for its skills and magic magic.

- 1:15:39Speaker 1: Number seven. Drainage, drainage, Eli, you boy, drained dry. I'm
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: so sorry here, Max.
- 1:15:49Speaker 5: There will be blood boom. Oh yeah, I think it's

- 1:16:02Speaker 5: John something? Mh, Daniel Lewis got it?
- 1:16:12Speaker 4: It is?
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: It is not John Something? Yeah, yeah, but you got
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: two points. Do you know what Daniel da Lewis's character's
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: name is and there will be blood?
- 1:16:24Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 1:16:26Speaker 4: God, I do know it, but I can't think of it.
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: Daniel plain View.
- 1:16:33Speaker 5: One of the most visious Bully.
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: Yeah, ud, pretty cut Bully.
- 1:16:39Speaker 4: That's also a movie I only saw once because it
- 1:16:41Speaker 4: bummed me out. It's great, but it's not fun to watch.
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: Yeah, we'll see how you guys do. That was two points,
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: Not that.
- 1:16:51Speaker 4: That matters Max's winning, But yes, this one will have
- 1:16:55Speaker 4: two different characters and we'll see how you do. Number eight.
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: Listen, Son, you're going to be able to do a
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: lot of things the other guys aren't. Oh yeah, like
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: chase cars and bite the mailman.
- 1:17:09Speaker 5: Oh is that?
