- 0:02Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen. Boys and girls, it's your favorite time
- 0:04Speaker 1: of week. You download the crazy sheets, you get ready
- 0:07Speaker 1: to talk about some college football. We got three games left.
- 0:10Speaker 1: Couldn't be more excited. Y'all probably thought we had deserted you,
- 0:13Speaker 1: but no, man, we just had to have a little
- 0:15Speaker 1: family time around the holiday. And Scoutty, how the are you? Brother?
- 0:18Speaker 2: I'm good, excited, ready to get a little snowmageddon here
- 0:22Speaker 2: in Dallas. Pray for us. We're we may not be
- 0:27Speaker 2: alive on Friday. You get there.
- 0:29Speaker 3: Man.
- 0:29Speaker 2: They're talking about they have no idea how much snow
- 0:31Speaker 2: we're gonna get. They're talking about a little coating of ice,
- 0:34Speaker 2: and it is anywhere from three inches of snow to
- 0:38Speaker 2: eleven inches of snow. I'm like, that's pretty wide range
- 0:41Speaker 2: right there. So I'm expecting four or five inches of snow.
- 0:45Speaker 1: And if you have never been to Dallas and or
- 0:48Speaker 1: in Texas, but mainly Dallas, because everybody else will stay
- 0:52Speaker 1: home if there is snow and ice in Dallas. There's
- 0:55Speaker 1: no place you could be more dangerous to. You could
- 0:58Speaker 1: be in the in Guy the Strip, and it wouldn't
- 1:00Speaker 1: be as dangerous as being in Dallas.
- 1:02Speaker 2: Because all those over all, those overpasses, ice over.
- 1:06Speaker 3: It's just it's a total disaster.
- 1:08Speaker 1: So, like I said, nobody, I'm gonna wait and see
- 1:17Speaker 1: if the tickets bottom out.
- 1:19Speaker 3: And they are already bottoming out, I.
- 1:22Speaker 1: Saw that if they do, if they bottom out, bottom out,
- 1:25Speaker 1: I may make my way up there on Friday. I
- 1:27Speaker 1: haven't decided yet. Yeah, I've got Dragon Ball another game.
- 1:31Speaker 1: She's gonna go crazy.
- 1:32Speaker 2: I've got I've got a buddy who's wanting to go
- 1:35Speaker 2: Friday night. But like you said, if the tickets get cheap,
- 1:39Speaker 2: you know it'll be it'll be interesting. I'm I'm shocked
- 1:43Speaker 2: that Texas fans aren't going more en mass you know,
- 1:48Speaker 2: well so, so it's pretty interesting. But you Ohio State
- 1:52Speaker 2: fans are gonna have a hard time getting here. If
- 1:54Speaker 2: they're not here, they're probably not getting here because tomorrow
- 1:57Speaker 2: is gonna be a hot mess, and and you know,
- 2:00Speaker 2: I think Friday morning is gonna be a hot mess
- 2:02Speaker 2: a little about noon.
- 2:03Speaker 3: So it should be interesting.
- 2:06Speaker 1: If Ohio State fans knew the quality of George that
- 2:09Speaker 1: they could purchase in the Greater Arlington area, they would
- 2:13Speaker 1: figure out how to get down here for sure for the.
- 2:15Speaker 2: Game, though they might. Can you imagine how many george
- 2:18Speaker 2: are running around when they play Florida?
- 2:21Speaker 3: It is they bring it to a whole new level.
- 2:25Speaker 3: It's funny.
- 2:26Speaker 2: Having been up in that part of the country, it's
- 2:29Speaker 2: amazing how many people in Ohio hate Howio State and
- 2:34Speaker 2: really hate their fans.
- 2:35Speaker 3: I mean, it's hilarious.
- 2:37Speaker 1: Yeah, they're not well liked. It's a different breed that
- 2:41Speaker 1: they got there. So but here we are, man four
- 2:44Speaker 1: teams left, Penn State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Texas. We
- 2:50Speaker 1: are guaranteed to get a black coach in the National
- 2:53Speaker 1: championship Game, which I think that's pretty cool. If I'm
- 2:57Speaker 1: talking just of what we've seen so far, I've enjoyed.
- 3:01Speaker 1: The product on the field hasn't been great. I mean
- 3:03Speaker 1: the Arizona State Texas game was incredible. Everybody in the
- 3:07Speaker 1: country got to blind out who Cam's kataboo was if
- 3:10Speaker 1: they didn't know before what a great game he had.
- 3:12Speaker 1: Guy made a lot of money that day. Good for him.
- 3:15Speaker 1: But I've enjoyed this and it's like, hey, it's year one.
- 3:18Speaker 1: We're gonna learn from it. It's gonna make it better.
- 3:20Speaker 1: We're gonna get there. But we get to the final
- 3:22Speaker 1: four in these two games that we got. I'm excited
- 3:25Speaker 1: to see him and frankly, I think these are the
- 3:27Speaker 1: best four teams that have been playing over the last
- 3:29Speaker 1: couple of weeks.
- 3:30Speaker 3: What are your thoughts? Oh, I agree, you know.
- 3:32Speaker 2: I want to say, first, I thought Ashton Genti proved
- 3:37Speaker 2: why should have won the Heisman.
- 3:40Speaker 3: He broke twenty two tackles.
- 3:43Speaker 2: And gained of his one hundred yards I believe it
- 3:48Speaker 2: was eighty one of those were after contact. That's impressive.
- 3:55Speaker 2: I mean, that is impressive. And I thought Penn State
- 4:00Speaker 2: did a great job stuffing them. They were Penn State
- 4:03Speaker 2: was clearly the more talented team. But I thought boys
- 4:06Speaker 2: played really well, made themselves proud, minus just a couple
- 4:10Speaker 2: of couple of big mistakes. I mean, the hands to
- 4:12Speaker 2: the face was such a gigantic call because that cuts
- 4:16Speaker 2: it to three on that touchdown.
- 4:19Speaker 3: But I don't Boise showed they deserve to be there.
- 4:21Speaker 2: I thought Arizona State played really, really well, probably should
- 4:24Speaker 2: have won that ball game. Don't know how the hell
- 4:27Speaker 2: that wasn't targeting. That's been targeting all year, but it's
- 4:30Speaker 2: pretty clear the officials didn't want to decide the game.
- 4:33Speaker 2: But I don't understand that, because when you don't call
- 4:36Speaker 2: something that's clearly happening, you are deciding the game. You're
- 4:42Speaker 2: doing exactly what you're trying to not do. Oh, we
- 4:44Speaker 2: don't want to call to decide the game. Well it
- 4:46Speaker 2: call didn't decide the game. A game you didn't a
- 4:48Speaker 2: call you didn't make, you know. So, I mean I
- 4:51Speaker 2: thought that was I thought that was pretty interesting because
- 4:54Speaker 2: you can't tell me that wasn't targeting. I mean, hell,
- 4:56Speaker 2: it's that is clearly targeted. If that's the middle of September,
- 5:00Speaker 2: that kid's gone, you know, zeroed out. But because there's
- 5:03Speaker 2: a minute left in a playoff game, they swallowed the whistle.
- 5:06Speaker 3: So I thought that was I thought that was interesting.
- 5:09Speaker 2: I will tell you I think obviously eleven for Penn
- 5:12Speaker 2: state's a great player. Hope he can play this weekend.
- 5:15Speaker 2: Hope he's healthy. Fifteen's every bit is good too.
- 5:19Speaker 3: Man.
- 5:19Speaker 2: You talk about making plays. That guy is all over
- 5:24Speaker 2: the field.
- 5:25Speaker 3: I mean it was.
- 5:26Speaker 2: I just really was impressed with the with the with
- 5:31Speaker 2: the lower level guys.
- 5:33Speaker 3: I thought they held their own I really did.
- 5:35Speaker 2: I mean, I thought they showed they belonged more than
- 5:38Speaker 2: the Tennessee's and the Indianas and guys like that.
- 5:41Speaker 3: I do think it's fascinating.
- 5:42Speaker 2: None of the bye teams one which, make no mistake,
- 5:46Speaker 2: Georgia wins that football game, hit their quarterbacks healthy at
- 5:51Speaker 2: minus a couple of huge plays. Notre Dame pretty much
- 5:54Speaker 2: didn't do anything. Uh, and then Ohio State just full
- 5:58Speaker 2: gas can again. They are playing exactly like the team
- 6:03Speaker 2: they've been on paper all year.
- 6:05Speaker 3: This is the first two.
- 6:06Speaker 2: Times they've shown up and played like the team they're
- 6:10Speaker 2: capable of playing. In candidly that Chip Kelly's coached like
- 6:15Speaker 2: he's capable of coaching, instead of going conservative and playing
- 6:19Speaker 2: not to lose like he did against Michigan like he
- 6:22Speaker 2: almost did against Nebraska. I mean, go, you've got players, man,
- 6:27Speaker 2: give them the ball, and he's done it the last
- 6:30Speaker 2: two weeks and nobody can stay on the field with them.
- 6:32Speaker 2: And I'll think that changes in Arlington on Friday night.
- 6:37Speaker 1: We'll see they're not in Arlington. Oh yeah, they are.
- 6:40Speaker 1: Excuse me, we'll see. I'm interested. If the Lions have
- 6:44Speaker 1: been wacky, man, it's uh. You've seen the Penn State
- 6:48Speaker 1: Unit Dame line move around a lot, and now I've
- 6:49Speaker 1: settled down to Penn state plus one over unders at
- 6:52Speaker 1: forty five, Ohio State lines all the way up to
- 6:55Speaker 1: five and a half over unders at fifty three. And
- 6:58Speaker 1: so you've got a lot of opinions on this spot.
- 7:01Speaker 1: And so I I'm excited. I'm fascinated. I've loved everything
- 7:05Speaker 1: about the tournament, even the people bitching about how we
- 7:08Speaker 1: need to change it. I love that. It's like we've
- 7:10Speaker 1: done this one time and people are complaining we should
- 7:13Speaker 1: be reseeding the why should they get bys this, that
- 7:15Speaker 1: and the other, and uh it's and then I love
- 7:19Speaker 1: I love the uh the SEC hate uh. But yet
- 7:24Speaker 1: it's like they forgot Texas is still in the tournament.
- 7:27Speaker 1: It's like, oh, yeah, they are part of this. And
- 7:29Speaker 1: I started laughing. I said, well, you know why that
- 7:31Speaker 1: is right, I said, I said, there's only four teams
- 7:34Speaker 1: in the SEC that have won the national championship over
- 7:36Speaker 1: the last twenty years. And I said, and they were
- 7:39Speaker 1: smart enough as a conference to get all the shitty
- 7:41Speaker 1: schools to just chant SEC all the time and tell
- 7:43Speaker 1: them it means most even.
- 7:45Speaker 3: Though they're an don't forget Auburn with CAMBA.
- 7:48Speaker 1: I'm not Auburn, Florida, LSU and Bama that's it. Those
- 7:51Speaker 1: are the only four teams the SEC. Oh Georgia, Georgia, Oh, Georgia,
- 7:54Speaker 1: excuse me. Five. Yeah, I went all the way back
- 7:56Speaker 1: to Florida, so five, but I just was laughing. But anyway,
- 7:59Speaker 1: I yeah, I'm interested. And in the transfer portal, we'll
- 8:02Speaker 1: get into that next week. Maybe smart. But you've got
- 8:05Speaker 1: guys that have been I mean, there's guys on these
- 8:07Speaker 1: rosters that have played that have gone in.
- 8:10Speaker 3: Uh.
- 8:10Speaker 1: You've heard rumors that other players are coming in out
- 8:12Speaker 1: of the portal, and so that thing's fascinating to you.
- 8:15Speaker 1: I did a full deep dive on how the portal works.
- 8:19Speaker 1: It's completely different. The portal of two twenty five is
- 8:22Speaker 1: completely different than the portal of twenty twenty four. Uh.
- 8:26Speaker 1: And it's and and we'll go into that later because
- 8:28Speaker 1: it is it's an economic decision at this point. I mean,
- 8:31Speaker 1: so I I I think the the U n C
- 8:34Speaker 1: GM role and everything that we've talked about a couple
- 8:37Speaker 1: of times that is full on gonna be one of
- 8:39Speaker 1: the most important positions on a football team going forward.
- 8:42Speaker 1: Because with all these salary caps, how the NIL is working,
- 8:45Speaker 1: what it's not doing. Uh, we've still got more lawsuits
- 8:48Speaker 1: to come, I firmly believe. But it's it's it's definitely
- 8:51Speaker 1: changed college football. And I think if you like parody,
- 8:55Speaker 1: I think if you like getting, you know you're there's
- 8:57Speaker 1: not gonna be as big of a gap that there
- 8:59Speaker 1: used to be.
- 9:00Speaker 3: Uh.
- 9:00Speaker 1: Then I think the direction of the game's going is
- 9:02Speaker 1: gonna be maybe a more interesting product on the field.
- 9:05Speaker 1: I don't know what your thoughts are on it, but
- 9:07Speaker 1: I just don't think these teams are going to have
- 9:08Speaker 1: the depth but not to practice as much in it.
- 9:11Speaker 1: It's crazy.
- 9:13Speaker 3: Yeah, I totally agree with you on that.
- 9:14Speaker 2: I look, I think the quality of play is definitely
- 9:18Speaker 2: going to deteriorate. I think you're going to look up
- 9:21Speaker 2: and some of those BAMA teams would beat some of
- 9:23Speaker 2: these national title teams by six seven touchdowns because at
- 9:28Speaker 2: the end of the day, most of these most of
- 9:30Speaker 2: these kids are not going to sit on the bench
- 9:32Speaker 2: and develop.
- 9:33Speaker 3: And how do you discipline the kid. You discipline a.
- 9:36Speaker 2: Kid by putting him on that he can't now and
- 9:39Speaker 2: and and you can't put a kid on the bench
- 9:42Speaker 2: and expect him to learn anything. He's gone, he hits
- 9:45Speaker 2: the portal, he's it's malcontent city. So I you know,
- 9:49Speaker 2: and I think, but I also I look at Notre
- 9:52Speaker 2: Dame and yes, they've obviously got Riley Leonard and a
- 9:55Speaker 2: couple of other guys that are big that they've gotten
- 9:57Speaker 2: out of the portal, but as a whole, the bulk
- 9:59Speaker 2: of that football tea team, as guys they've developed, and
- 10:01Speaker 2: they're four and five years into that program. And Mark
- 10:04Speaker 2: Freeman talked about that, and I think you're seeing that
- 10:10Speaker 2: the teams that can do that are gonna make They're
- 10:13Speaker 2: gonna make a run.
- 10:14Speaker 1: Uh look at the teams we have left. You have
- 10:18Speaker 1: Quinn Viewers who transferred from Ohio State. He ran two
- 10:20Speaker 1: plays at Ohio State. Okay, he's there. That defense is there.
- 10:25Speaker 1: I mean, you've got guys that could have gone pro,
- 10:26Speaker 1: they could have transferred. Arch Manning's the backup. Okay, Stark
- 10:30Speaker 1: has done a good job recruiting a roster keeping it
- 10:33Speaker 1: in tag Ohio State. There's so many juniors and seniors
- 10:37Speaker 1: on that team, that roster, but the whole defensive line
- 10:40Speaker 1: is gonna go pro. And even Penn State Drew Baylers
- 10:44Speaker 1: was You've been hearing aboutim for years, but we're finally
- 10:46Speaker 1: getting to see him come in. So I think personally
- 10:49Speaker 1: and when we'll talk more about this next week or
- 10:51Speaker 1: after the championship, but I really do think that the
- 10:54Speaker 1: coaches that can still build a high school recruiting craft
- 10:57Speaker 1: and a culture within what they want to do are
- 11:00Speaker 1: going to win it. And I think sustain I do
- 11:04Speaker 1: think you can cherry pick the portal and do a
- 11:05Speaker 1: good thing. But it's it's not gonna because anymore. It's
- 11:09Speaker 1: gonna be like, here's your number, here's what it is,
- 11:11Speaker 1: and you know, throwing crazy numbers at these kids. This
- 11:14Speaker 1: isn't gonna work because you're gonna fuck up your locker room.
- 11:17Speaker 1: I mean, you can't go I mean, what's the kids
- 11:19Speaker 1: and that Jeremi Smith, that or Smith that know at
- 11:22Speaker 1: Ohio State, if he gets one point five million next year,
- 11:25Speaker 1: nobody's gonna go like, fuck, man, what's going on? But
- 11:27Speaker 1: you give some left tackle that made four hundred grandest
- 11:31Speaker 1: freshman year and play forty snaps and he wants eight
- 11:34Speaker 1: hundred grand to stay. You start doing that, you're gonna
- 11:37Speaker 1: screw the locker room up. And so we can talk
- 11:39Speaker 1: about this for hours, but it's funny to me that
- 11:41Speaker 1: the four the teams that are here have done a
- 11:44Speaker 1: really good job building programs, building rosters, and I honestly
- 11:48Speaker 1: think that's why they were able to sustain a new
- 11:50Speaker 1: format of college football. Take the bad, you know, take
- 11:53Speaker 1: the losses to Michigan, from Ohio State, Penn State, you
- 11:56Speaker 1: don't not being able to win the big games like
- 11:59Speaker 1: they have been times. But I think that's why these
- 12:01Speaker 1: four teams are here, and I think Georgia would be
- 12:03Speaker 1: here at their quarterback not gotten hurt.
- 12:06Speaker 2: SEC has been terrible, even games they should have easily won,
- 12:10Speaker 2: like guess like k Texas A and them that physically
- 12:14Speaker 2: significantly better with the bed lost that game. Alabama don't
- 12:20Speaker 2: know how the hell they lost that game other than
- 12:22Speaker 2: they couldn't. They gave up what four scores before they
- 12:26Speaker 2: ever decided to get a first down and like actually
- 12:28Speaker 2: take a snap U Yard. I mean it, that was
- 12:32Speaker 2: a joke. I don't know that there's ever been a
- 12:36Speaker 2: really talented quarterback that almost won the Natty that his
- 12:40Speaker 2: head coach left and they hire a coach that is
- 12:43Speaker 2: a worse fit for that quarterback than Jalen Milroe and
- 12:46Speaker 2: Klen de Bower together. I think both of them are
- 12:49Speaker 2: glad the other one's gone, not gonna be dealing with
- 12:52Speaker 2: them anymore. Jalen Milrow needs to get ready to play
- 12:56Speaker 2: running back or wide receiver because he ain't a quarterback.
- 13:00Speaker 2: Other than that, that's my breakdown from the from the
- 13:03Speaker 2: from the from the New Year's Day weekend. Lane Kiffin
- 13:07Speaker 2: still bitching and moaning about not making the playoffs. I'm
- 13:10Speaker 2: sorry you were the only decent SEC team that didn't
- 13:13Speaker 2: get their ass kicked. How do you think you deserve
- 13:17Speaker 2: to be there? It is pretty clear that the SEC
- 13:22Speaker 2: was mad that what they had was a lot of
- 13:25Speaker 2: teams that were good but not great. And I don't
- 13:30Speaker 2: think there's any doubt that the Big Ten was the
- 13:33Speaker 2: better league this year, especially at the top.
- 13:36Speaker 3: I don't think.
- 13:37Speaker 2: I mean, look, you got USC has now beaten l
- 13:40Speaker 2: s U and the thanks of saying m and.
- 13:45Speaker 1: Two different quarterbacks, by the way.
- 13:47Speaker 3: That's exactly right.
- 13:48Speaker 2: So I don't think there's any doubt that we that
- 13:51Speaker 2: that we've identified who the best team, but what the
- 13:54Speaker 2: best league in the country was this year? Hi bout
- 13:56Speaker 2: Bert Belima, my man Bert tying up? He and I mean, look,
- 14:01Speaker 2: I thought I thought Beemer. I think that was kind
- 14:06Speaker 2: of chickenye, I know, the rules that did kind of
- 14:09Speaker 2: throw them off.
- 14:10Speaker 3: Come on, Bert, you don't.
- 14:13Speaker 2: You don't stand on some on the field and stare
- 14:15Speaker 2: at the sideline and look. I think he was honestly
- 14:19Speaker 2: doing it to get his team fired up. I think
- 14:20Speaker 2: he thought they were in trouble and he did it
- 14:23Speaker 2: to get the get the passion stirred up, get a
- 14:26Speaker 2: little bit of get their juices flowing. I ain't that's
- 14:28Speaker 2: really why I did it. I don't think he really
- 14:30Speaker 2: gave a rip of it. I mean, they only gave
- 14:31Speaker 2: up a twenty five yard return. It's not like it's
- 14:34Speaker 2: not like any It wasn't like they ran it back
- 14:37Speaker 2: seventy five yards and put themselves up for the game
- 14:39Speaker 2: winning score. I mean they defended it pretty well, held
- 14:42Speaker 2: their guys jogging to the sideline or the reason that
- 14:44Speaker 2: didn't work?
- 14:45Speaker 3: You know?
- 14:46Speaker 2: So, I you know, I thought that was pretty bush
- 14:50Speaker 2: league of both of them. He has softened on his position.
- 14:54Speaker 2: I think, basically saying probably shouldn't have done that hurt
- 14:57Speaker 2: him on a on a on a radio interview. Based
- 15:00Speaker 2: saying probably shouldn't have done that on the field. I
- 15:02Speaker 2: am fairly confident he got reprimanded. But I say all
- 15:06Speaker 2: that to say, watch out for the fight and a
- 15:09Speaker 2: line nine. Next year, they got a lot of people back,
- 15:14Speaker 2: and that's a pretty good football team. That's a pretty
- 15:16Speaker 2: good and they got Altimayer coming back. They got all
- 15:19Speaker 2: those defensive guys that were that had a chance to
- 15:22Speaker 2: come back or coming back. Bert's setting himself up. And look,
- 15:25Speaker 2: he's been working Twitter, and I don't blame him if
- 15:28Speaker 2: that team isn't a top fifteen team entering the season
- 15:31Speaker 2: next year Newhile the hell are we even having pre
- 15:33Speaker 2: season polls?
- 15:35Speaker 1: They should be good. I've looked at a couple of
- 15:38Speaker 1: rosters already. I'm kind of like, you're gonna be pretty
- 15:41Speaker 1: good next year.
- 15:42Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 15:43Speaker 1: And so, like I said, I'm fascinated. I haven't been
- 15:47Speaker 1: this eager about seeing next year this early, usually at
- 15:51Speaker 1: the end of this year, like I'm fatigued with it.
- 15:53Speaker 1: But now I'm kind of as the game is evolving,
- 15:56Speaker 1: I am enjoying how these coaches are evolving and the
- 15:59Speaker 1: coaches that can adapt. And so that's why I said,
- 16:01Speaker 1: I'm and everybody's doing it differently, and so I'm interested,
- 16:05Speaker 1: you know, And I think there's gonna be better teams
- 16:07Speaker 1: than the SEC next year. I think there's to me
- 16:09Speaker 1: it could be a coin flip on who's gonna win there,
- 16:11Speaker 1: because Auburn finally got a quarterback, but can they do
- 16:14Speaker 1: anything with them? You know, How's Georgia gonna come back
- 16:17Speaker 1: around from this? Is Bama gonna rise back from the ashes?
- 16:20Speaker 1: Or is it the guy that followed the guy can't
- 16:22Speaker 1: get it done? I mean there's a there's a lot
- 16:25Speaker 1: of story. Is Florida turned the corner with sun Belt
- 16:28Speaker 1: Billy and DJ Langways. I mean, there's a there's a
- 16:30Speaker 1: lot of fascinating stuff ahead of us for next year.
- 16:33Speaker 1: But Scott, right now, we need to talk about the
- 16:37Speaker 1: semi finals. Let's talk about it Thursday night. Notre Dame
- 16:41Speaker 1: Penn State. Notre Dame's land of point over under here
- 16:45Speaker 1: is forty five. Where do you think if there is
- 16:48Speaker 1: any value in this game? Or you played under?
- 16:52Speaker 2: I think both these defenses are gonna play the other offense,
- 16:56Speaker 2: I really do.
- 16:57Speaker 3: I think it's gonna be a low scoring ball game. Man.
- 17:01Speaker 2: I have ridden Notre Dame all year long. I said
- 17:06Speaker 2: going into this that people were down. They were overvaluing
- 17:10Speaker 2: that Northern Illinois let down and undervaluing that win at
- 17:15Speaker 2: Texas A and M and and also undervaluing how bad
- 17:20Speaker 2: they kick both Service Academy's asses too, uh, because those
- 17:24Speaker 2: both those teams have turned out are pretty good, pretty
- 17:26Speaker 2: good football teams, and hanging fifty on them was a
- 17:29Speaker 2: pretty good, pretty good accomplishment for Notre Dame. I want
- 17:33Speaker 2: to I'm probably going to betting Notre Dame.
- 17:35Speaker 3: Even though I I.
- 17:37Speaker 2: Don't know if they're going with a running back banged up,
- 17:39Speaker 2: I mean a growing I know he's gonna play, but
- 17:41Speaker 2: I know growing doesn't get healthy right away. They could
- 17:43Speaker 2: do nothing against Georgia. This is a really good Penn
- 17:46Speaker 2: State defense, but I think they're gonna hold them down.
- 17:49Speaker 2: So I think the value is probably in the under.
- 17:52Speaker 2: Even though games have been going over like crazy.
- 17:56Speaker 1: Well they didn't in the beginning. And so I'm gonna
- 17:58Speaker 1: write with you in the under here, I'm to play
- 18:00Speaker 1: both ways. I'm gonna play it first half under and
- 18:02Speaker 1: I'm also gonna play the whole game under. And here's
- 18:05Speaker 1: the thing is, if you look at these two teams
- 18:07Speaker 1: and they are very similar to one another. There they
- 18:10Speaker 1: run similar style defenses, similar style offenses. And so my
- 18:15Speaker 1: thought is Penn State's game plan of this is obviously
- 18:17Speaker 1: gonna try to be can we I mean Notre Dame
- 18:21Speaker 1: wants to run a lot of outside zone, and so
- 18:23Speaker 1: the idea is, can we slow down what they've got
- 18:26Speaker 1: and try to make Riley Leonard throw the ball? They're
- 18:28Speaker 1: gonna leave their corners on an island for most of
- 18:30Speaker 1: the game. The Notre Dame wide receivers cannot get separation.
- 18:34Speaker 1: And on top of that, I don't know how comfortable
- 18:36Speaker 1: Riley Leonard is thrown into those windows. And so you
- 18:39Speaker 1: basically have three running backs that you're having to deal
- 18:41Speaker 1: with from there. But I think I Bill Carter, the
- 18:44Speaker 1: defensive tackle for Penn State, best I can tell he's
- 18:47Speaker 1: gonna play, and he's been posting pictures of the Darth
- 18:51Speaker 1: Vader mask every day. I'm I'm assuming he's coming right.
- 18:56Speaker 1: And then when you get onto the other side with
- 18:58Speaker 1: Penn State, both of those running backs have done a
- 19:01Speaker 1: hell of a job and they've been These guys are
- 19:05Speaker 1: three years in, they've been on the roster a long time,
- 19:07Speaker 1: and so it's gonna be interesting to see because Ayler's
- 19:10Speaker 1: has got a little bit more mentality that he thinks
- 19:12Speaker 1: he can let it rip. And he's got the arm too.
- 19:14Speaker 1: You got Tyler Warren there because with Penn State, they
- 19:17Speaker 1: were beating the shit out of Bois and it's like
- 19:21Speaker 1: they got too cute for themselves. It's like, oh, you know,
- 19:23Speaker 1: we're winning, so let's try to do some other stuff
- 19:26Speaker 1: in the second and then next thing, you know, it's
- 19:27Speaker 1: a ballgame. And I kind of wonder what they're gonna
- 19:30Speaker 1: do here, And so with Kola, Nikki's gonna dial up.
- 19:33Speaker 1: I won't be surprised if we don't see some other
- 19:34Speaker 1: stuff from Tyler Warren. But Notre Dame I think will
- 19:38Speaker 1: be very conservative. Notre Dame could not move the ball
- 19:41Speaker 1: on Georgia. You go look at that box score. They
- 19:43Speaker 1: had a touchdown that was fifteen yards from the stripsack,
- 19:46Speaker 1: and then they had that one that was the special teams,
- 19:50Speaker 1: and other than that, they really struggled to move the
- 19:52Speaker 1: ball on Georgia. And so I kind of think you're
- 19:54Speaker 1: gonna get it here. That's where I'm gonna go under
- 19:56Speaker 1: first half, under full game, and I think that's how
- 19:59Speaker 1: I'm gonna play this.
- 20:00Speaker 3: Yeah, I agree with you. I think. Look, I love
- 20:03Speaker 3: the job Marcus Freeman's doing. Those guys.
- 20:06Speaker 2: Oh he is such a I mean, he looks like
- 20:10Speaker 2: man I would run through damn wall for that guy.
- 20:12Speaker 2: I mean, he looks like he'd be so much fun
- 20:14Speaker 2: to play I saw a video of him. You know,
- 20:19Speaker 2: he spoke to the team after and they were talking
- 20:22Speaker 2: to the team after Kelly resigned, and then he I
- 20:26Speaker 2: didn't realize this. He then he walked back out of
- 20:28Speaker 2: the locker room and they're like, and you know, and
- 20:32Speaker 2: we've already found your next your next head coach. And
- 20:35Speaker 2: he opens up the door and the team goes bananas
- 20:38Speaker 2: when he comes in. I mean they're all jumping around
- 20:41Speaker 2: and going crazy and yelling.
- 20:43Speaker 3: It is.
- 20:44Speaker 2: He just looks like he'd be a ton of fun
- 20:46Speaker 2: to play for, and it just seems like such a
- 20:49Speaker 2: good dude. You were talking about an African American coach
- 20:53Speaker 2: being in the in the championship. That obviously is a
- 20:56Speaker 2: is a cool deal. But I thought his response when
- 20:59Speaker 2: someone asked him to at it's just like that's a
- 21:01Speaker 2: non issue. It's it should be about you know, what
- 21:04Speaker 2: kind of job or are we doing? What kind of
- 21:05Speaker 2: team have we got? There's nothing I don't like about
- 21:09Speaker 2: Marks Freeman. I guess that's the gist of what I'll say.
- 21:13Speaker 2: So yes, I will be cheering for them. I think
- 21:15Speaker 2: Penn State is the is probably the more talented football team,
- 21:20Speaker 2: But I don't know that. I don't know that Franklin
- 21:23Speaker 2: is gonna out coach him either, even though Freeman's young
- 21:26Speaker 2: and got less experience, so so uh, it's gonna be fascinating.
- 21:31Speaker 2: You are no longer if he makes this, Natty gonna
- 21:34Speaker 2: be able to say, James Franklin can't win the big one.
- 21:37Speaker 3: I mean, you go win three playoff games in hell,
- 21:40Speaker 3: had you wont a big one?
- 21:41Speaker 1: I mean.
- 21:46Speaker 2: So and and and if somebody's got a chance to
- 21:49Speaker 2: beat him, because it's the same thing, oh Ohio State's
- 21:52Speaker 2: gonna run in the same thing with Penn State that
- 21:55Speaker 2: Oregon ran into with. Ohio State's really hard to beat
- 21:57Speaker 2: a good team twice. And and it because I have
- 22:02Speaker 2: been in these shoes, it is you you do have
- 22:07Speaker 2: a little bit of well, we're just gonna go kick
- 22:09Speaker 2: their ass again, you know, And it isn't that way.
- 22:13Speaker 3: The other team's got got GrITT in their teeth.
- 22:15Speaker 2: They're pissed, you know, and they're gonna give it all
- 22:18Speaker 2: their God, they're gonna play better. And a lot of teams,
- 22:21Speaker 2: a lot of times that team that won the first
- 22:22Speaker 2: one doesn't play as well, so I ain't gonna be
- 22:25Speaker 2: I think it's gonna be fascinating on this whole end.
- 22:27Speaker 2: But I will bet indech just because I have taken
- 22:30Speaker 2: them at seventeen to one for the Natty and I'm
- 22:34Speaker 2: hoping I get lucky. I said they were the dark horse.
- 22:36Speaker 2: They still are the dark horse. I don't think Riley
- 22:39Speaker 2: Leonard will play as poorly as he did, but that
- 22:42Speaker 2: offensive line is good, and I do think they've got
- 22:45Speaker 2: a chance to negate a little bit of that of
- 22:49Speaker 2: that Penn State defense if that's possible, because it's that's
- 22:51Speaker 2: a really really good defense and a really good defensive line.
- 22:56Speaker 1: Yeah, I agree, So I'm going under both ways. I
- 22:58Speaker 1: will be love me like Marcus Freeman a lot. I've
- 23:01Speaker 1: never been a Big Game James fan, but I think
- 23:03Speaker 1: Penn State's the team here and so I won't put
- 23:06Speaker 1: the money I have to put the money into it.
- 23:08Speaker 1: If I could have gotten a hard three earlier in
- 23:10Speaker 1: the week, been paying attention because it hit a few times,
- 23:12Speaker 1: I would have played Penn State plus three because I
- 23:14Speaker 1: can see it coming down. This to me is gonna
- 23:17Speaker 1: be a twenty one twenty seventeen to twenty type game
- 23:20Speaker 1: is what my opinion is, and so I think it's
- 23:23Speaker 1: to be a great game. I'm looking forward to watching it.
- 23:25Speaker 1: I am excited, excited to be watching this weekend. I'm
- 23:28Speaker 1: gonna be solid tonight. CIRCA estimated they think the handle
- 23:32Speaker 1: this weekend with the two college games in the NFL
- 23:36Speaker 1: playoffs starting, will be as big as a Super Bowl
- 23:39Speaker 1: as how much WOY will have flown through there, just
- 23:41Speaker 1: because there's so much big games going on. So I'm excited.
- 23:44Speaker 1: Like I said, let's get this one going. Next one
- 23:47Speaker 1: Scottie Arlington, Texas. You would assume it's gonna be a
- 23:49Speaker 1: home field for the Longhords. We'll see what happens when
- 23:52Speaker 1: they get there. Texas and Ohio State. These are both
- 23:56Speaker 1: two teams coming into season that you and I said
- 23:59Speaker 1: probably had the two best, two of the three best
- 24:01Speaker 1: rosters in the country. Ohio State you heard about their
- 24:04Speaker 1: twenty million dollar roster and what they were gonna do,
- 24:07Speaker 1: and pretty much all season long we kind of just wondered,
- 24:09Speaker 1: what the hell is going on? And then we got
- 24:11Speaker 1: to the Michigan game and we're like, WHOA, what's going on?
- 24:14Speaker 1: But here they are, you know, and they've galvanized around
- 24:19Speaker 1: the team. But I lost my ass in the Tennessee game,
- 24:23Speaker 1: and then in the Oregon game, I didn't bet it.
- 24:25Speaker 1: I kind of just sit back and watched it, and
- 24:28Speaker 1: I told you this now. I have now watched both
- 24:30Speaker 1: of those games on all twenty two three times, and
- 24:34Speaker 1: I am convinced Ohio State after the Michigan game, changed
- 24:38Speaker 1: their entire offense. If you go look at it, they
- 24:41Speaker 1: are not running inside zone read like Chip Kelly, and
- 24:44Speaker 1: he's normally That's what he's made a living off of
- 24:45Speaker 1: his entire career, is running that inside zone read. And
- 24:49Speaker 1: if you're in a blocking scheme for lineman, you're there's
- 24:51Speaker 1: reads that go into this, all kinds of stuff. They're
- 24:54Speaker 1: running counter. I even went and looked it up on PFF.
- 24:56Speaker 1: They're running counter sixty seven percent of the time in
- 24:59Speaker 1: these last two games, which is they were only doing
- 25:02Speaker 1: it fifteen percent of the time for the rest of
- 25:04Speaker 1: the season. They have changed it the offensive of how
- 25:06Speaker 1: the blocking schemes work, and that in turn has led
- 25:09Speaker 1: to massively explosive plays and that's been a huge difference
- 25:14Speaker 1: in these last two games because you didn't see a
- 25:15Speaker 1: lot of explosion from Ohio State most of the season,
- 25:18Speaker 1: especially not in the running game, and they had been
- 25:21Speaker 1: able to do that against Oregon. They've been able to
- 25:22Speaker 1: get against Tennessee. They were both I thought pretty good defenses.
- 25:26Speaker 1: Oregon kind of got exposed. But I like what I'm
- 25:29Speaker 1: seeing from Ohio State here, and that defense man is
- 25:31Speaker 1: so damn good. So I'm leaning, Oh, I know where
- 25:35Speaker 1: I'm gonna go. But what are your thoughts when you're
- 25:36Speaker 1: looking at this game.
- 25:38Speaker 2: I am betting Ohio State until the breaks come off,
- 25:41Speaker 2: because I think Texas is too inconsistent. I mean, they
- 25:45Speaker 2: should have buried at that line was eighteen and a half,
- 25:51Speaker 2: and Texas thought they were going to cover that. And
- 25:56Speaker 2: so I'm sitting on the ski at the ski live
- 26:00Speaker 2: beers sitting at the ski lodge, and there it is
- 26:03Speaker 2: twenty It is twenty four to six, and are about
- 26:07Speaker 2: to be twenty four to six. They have the ball,
- 26:09Speaker 2: I should say, and I'm thinking they're gonna score. I'm
- 26:13Speaker 2: gonna get hosed and lose by half point. And then
- 26:17Speaker 2: they wet the bed and should have lost the game.
- 26:21Speaker 2: They have not played a complete football game all year.
- 26:24Speaker 2: What in the hell makes me think they're gonna do
- 26:26Speaker 2: it against the best damn team in the country.
- 26:29Speaker 3: I don't think that's coming.
- 26:31Speaker 2: I think I think Ohio State may mop the damn
- 26:35Speaker 2: floor with them.
- 26:37Speaker 1: Now I will. There's some great matchups in this game.
- 26:40Speaker 1: Both of the tackles for Texas, assuming they're healthy, matched
- 26:44Speaker 1: up with those two defensive ends for uh Ohio State.
- 26:48Speaker 1: Those are all four of those guys are gonna play
- 26:50Speaker 1: on Sunday, so you're gonna see some great play out
- 26:53Speaker 1: of Sawyer JTT. Both tackles for Texas are fantastic. They've
- 26:57Speaker 1: had to kick one of the guards out to on
- 27:00Speaker 1: the right side a little bit because of the injuries,
- 27:02Speaker 1: but I think he's going to be back in this
- 27:04Speaker 1: spot here. But since since Ohio State changed their defense
- 27:08Speaker 1: after that Oregon game and the way they shifted and
- 27:12Speaker 1: they're playing that one highest safety back there, nobody's been
- 27:16Speaker 1: able to explode on them. Nobody, and they're so fast
- 27:19Speaker 1: and so physical. I don't think Texas can get it done.
- 27:22Speaker 1: I think I think Ohio State's gonna be if they
- 27:25Speaker 1: I think they could name their score in this personally,
- 27:27Speaker 1: I really do. I think they're going to run them
- 27:29Speaker 1: out of the building.
- 27:30Speaker 2: I think yours is he makes some really bad. He
- 27:35Speaker 2: misses some easy throws. Let me say that. I mean
- 27:39Speaker 2: when he hit I mean when he hit that defensive
- 27:42Speaker 2: back for Arizona State in the back and the wide
- 27:46Speaker 2: receiver's two yards behind him.
- 27:48Speaker 3: Hell, it was such a shitty throw.
- 27:49Speaker 2: He couldn't even go moss the dB because he couldn't
- 27:52Speaker 2: get stopped and get around.
- 27:54Speaker 3: I mean, it was awful.
- 27:57Speaker 2: I mean, I just do not think that Texas is
- 28:01Speaker 2: going to put four quarters together and Ohio State is
- 28:05Speaker 2: now running on eight quarters where they have been all gas,
- 28:09Speaker 2: no breaks. My only concern is can they continue to
- 28:15Speaker 2: play as well as.
- 28:16Speaker 3: They've played these last two weeks.
- 28:19Speaker 2: And I can't not battle on that because they're finally
- 28:21Speaker 2: playing like the talent they have. They're finally being coached
- 28:27Speaker 2: to the level of their talent, is my opinion, and
- 28:31Speaker 2: I think candidly I ain't because kids have had a
- 28:34Speaker 2: lot to do with it. I think they got pissed
- 28:37Speaker 2: off after Michigan, and I think there's probably some hard
- 28:42Speaker 2: conversations I would love to know of the kids. We're
- 28:46Speaker 2: kind of like, turn us loose, quit holding us back,
- 28:49Speaker 2: and whether they actually had to say that, certainly I'll
- 28:54Speaker 2: never know, but that certainly has a feel. I know,
- 28:57Speaker 2: the coaches clearly got it where the they got it
- 29:00Speaker 2: on their own or the kids were like, come on,
- 29:03Speaker 2: it is clear they have taken their foot off off
- 29:07Speaker 2: the break and put it firmly onto the gas pedal.
- 29:11Speaker 2: And I just think, of I have State's a better
- 29:12Speaker 2: football team. I mean, they beat the absolute dogshit out
- 29:16Speaker 2: of Oregon, and Oregon's been the best team in the
- 29:18Speaker 2: country all year.
- 29:20Speaker 3: They couldn't do anything.
- 29:21Speaker 2: They couldn't stop them, they couldn't get them playoff, they
- 29:24Speaker 2: couldn't do anything.
- 29:25Speaker 3: They were I mean, they were just getting crushed.
- 29:28Speaker 2: And I was watching it with a buddy who's an
- 29:30Speaker 2: Ohio State fan, and even he is like, holy smokes,
- 29:33Speaker 2: where's this man?
- 29:35Speaker 3: You know?
- 29:35Speaker 2: I mean, it's just it's just fun to watch. And I,
- 29:39Speaker 2: you know, I can't look. I can't wait to watch
- 29:44Speaker 2: the game. I think Kelly is an amazingly arrogant nouche.
- 29:49Speaker 2: I mean, but the guy is a good football coach,
- 29:52Speaker 2: and I think he was overthinking it. I think they
- 29:55Speaker 2: knew they were so talented. They were trying to not choke,
- 29:58Speaker 2: and now they're just letting letting it all hang out.
- 30:01Speaker 3: I really do feel that way.
- 30:03Speaker 2: I think they're gonna cover five and a half easy.
- 30:06Speaker 2: And the only reason that I wouldn't bet the over
- 30:10Speaker 2: on this is because I don't know that Texas is
- 30:12Speaker 2: gonna be able to score enough to get it over.
- 30:16Speaker 2: I mean, I'll be honest with you, Mark, if this
- 30:19Speaker 2: game's thirty one to seven, thirty four to.
- 30:21Speaker 3: Ten, it would surprise me none.
- 30:24Speaker 1: I've got thirty five to fourteen is where I think
- 30:27Speaker 1: this thing lands, and you're still under the total. But
- 30:31Speaker 1: I think Ohio State's clearly in control the whole game.
- 30:33Speaker 1: I mean the other game I'm kind of cheering for,
- 30:35Speaker 1: like the old LSU Alabama Daddy, what was the score
- 30:38Speaker 1: in that one? Six to nine? Wasn't that the score?
- 30:40Speaker 3: That?
- 30:40Speaker 2: Oh that that was the regular season game? And then
- 30:44Speaker 2: and then Florida, I mean then Bama kind of got
- 30:46Speaker 2: after him in the championship game. Uh, six and nine
- 30:49Speaker 2: was the was the game in Tuscaloosa that's.
- 30:53Speaker 1: Right there at the old Mississippi State It was a
- 30:57Speaker 1: Mississippi State Auburn game.
- 30:58Speaker 2: Yeah, Baby, Look, people won't remember this, but this is
- 31:04Speaker 2: the best part of that game. Sylvester Krume about mid
- 31:06Speaker 2: fourth quarter, realizes I'm not gonna go for them. My
- 31:09Speaker 2: best chance to win this game is to get another safety,
- 31:12Speaker 2: and he kept punting and penning Auburn inside to ten,
- 31:16Speaker 2: you know, and he finally got him down at the
- 31:18Speaker 2: at the two, and they almost got a safety and
- 31:22Speaker 2: would have won that game four to three. That was
- 31:24Speaker 2: the ugliest football game ever. And I watched it at
- 31:28Speaker 2: your house. Yeah, in the middle of that way, basically
- 31:32Speaker 2: recovering from a from a hurricane.
- 31:34Speaker 1: That would have been a score of gami, you know,
- 31:36Speaker 1: had they have those games, and the score has never
- 31:38Speaker 1: been before four to three.
- 31:41Speaker 3: I like it.
- 31:42Speaker 1: So looking at National Championship, I just taking a peek, Uh,
- 31:47Speaker 1: You've got Ohio States floating around minus won ten to
- 31:50Speaker 1: one thirty, Texas plus four fifty, Penn State plus four
- 31:55Speaker 1: seventy five, Notre Dame plus four twenty five. So I
- 31:59Speaker 1: don't know that there's any value in land Ohio State
- 32:01Speaker 1: minus one thirty because that's probably gonna be pretty close
- 32:05Speaker 1: to what your money line is going to be if
- 32:07Speaker 1: you wanted to play that game. So I don't know
- 32:08Speaker 1: why you take that risk, but there may be some
- 32:12Speaker 1: value it. I'll throw this out there to you, depending
- 32:15Speaker 1: on who you think it's gonna get there. Is betting
- 32:18Speaker 1: on the National Championship MVP. You can get Will Howard
- 32:22Speaker 1: at two to one. You can get Jeremiah Smith, it's
- 32:25Speaker 1: four and a half to six to one, depending on
- 32:27Speaker 1: what book.
- 32:27Speaker 2: Jeremiah Smith's to play, it's either Ham or trade Vound Henderson.
- 32:31Speaker 1: Well, and you get Trayvon Henderson at twenty five to one.
- 32:34Speaker 1: So I'm kind of thinking, if you've got some pizza money,
- 32:38Speaker 1: you think Ohio State's gonna win the Natty, your best
- 32:42Speaker 1: bet would be to take maybe you take two units
- 32:46Speaker 1: and split it up between Howard, Jeremiah Smith, Trayvon and
- 32:52Speaker 1: Trayvon Henderson and drop it in there and hoping that
- 32:57Speaker 1: Henderson has a game similar to the game he had
- 33:00Speaker 1: against against Oregon and put some more touchdowns in and
- 33:03Speaker 1: you may cast you a twenty five to one ticket there.
- 33:07Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean that is uh, that's certainly the way. Look,
- 33:09Speaker 2: I'm I'm gonna hold on tight and hope my fighting
- 33:12Speaker 2: irish that I get lucky. But uh, I think that
- 33:18Speaker 2: comes to a halt this weekend, unfortunately. But I'm still
- 33:21Speaker 2: gonna bet them. But I don't think there's any doubt
- 33:25Speaker 2: that you're betting on a betting on an Ohio State
- 33:28Speaker 2: player figuring out who you think it's gonna be. Smith
- 33:30Speaker 2: would be mine for for the money, it's certainly, you know,
- 33:35Speaker 2: for a four to one pay day, that's a pretty good,
- 33:37Speaker 2: pretty good chance.
- 33:39Speaker 1: If you think, if you think that here Dame is
- 33:41Speaker 1: gonna get beat, do you take a Tyler Warren at
- 33:44Speaker 1: sixteen to one to win the MVP? That would that'd
- 33:48Speaker 1: be so awesome. Yeah, I'm saying Cam scattagu who won
- 33:53Speaker 1: the MVP of that game and they lost, it's the
- 33:55Speaker 1: first time that that's happened in forever.
- 33:57Speaker 2: Well, he deserves it. At that kid, all that kid
- 34:01Speaker 2: played So I thought he played great. I thought Genty
- 34:03Speaker 2: played good. I thought Genty played great because at the
- 34:06Speaker 2: end of the day, Genty's really all that team had.
- 34:08Speaker 2: I think we all knew that, especially when they started
- 34:11Speaker 2: playing a high end team and everybody's like, oh, he's
- 34:13Speaker 2: getting stuffed. I was again, Ski watched part of the
- 34:18Speaker 2: game in the bar and he goes, look, oh god.
- 34:20Speaker 3: So now he's playing the real team.
- 34:21Speaker 2: I'm like, the you watching this guy's breaking like eight
- 34:25Speaker 2: tackles every game.
- 34:26Speaker 3: He had nine guys hit.
- 34:28Speaker 2: Him on that one run where he gave the first
- 34:30Speaker 2: time he got ten yards on the run, had nine
- 34:33Speaker 2: guys hit him. Now guys in the first contact was
- 34:36Speaker 2: at the line of scrimmage. I'm like, I don't know
- 34:39Speaker 2: what game you're watching, but it ain't say one I'm watching.
- 34:41Speaker 2: This guy's impressive. I think Genty did more for his
- 34:44Speaker 2: draft stock in that game than he has all year,
- 34:49Speaker 2: probably because of how good that defense was. So I
- 34:53Speaker 2: thought Skataboo and Genty were great, so much fun to watch.
- 34:58Speaker 2: Gonna miss Camp's kataboo. God, I hope the Steelers draft
- 35:01Speaker 2: his ass. Oh, it's just it would be fabulous.
- 35:09Speaker 3: Harris.
- 35:10Speaker 2: Well, they're getting rid of they're getting rid of Naji,
- 35:12Speaker 2: so they didn't they didn't pick up the fifty year
- 35:15Speaker 2: optional Harris, So that's gonna be that'll be interesting.
- 35:18Speaker 3: Man.
- 35:18Speaker 2: You tell about a guy who's Taylor made for the
- 35:21Speaker 2: Black and Gold. It is cam'skataboo, baby.
- 35:26Speaker 1: I mean when they kept cutting over to his dad,
- 35:29Speaker 1: he's over there, it is.
- 35:30Speaker 3: How about he's going I mean, he's going hardcore.
- 35:38Speaker 1: Everybody was cheering for him. I mean the only people
- 35:40Speaker 1: cheering for Texas in the country that were watching that game,
- 35:44Speaker 1: like we're true Texas fans, because anybody else was like,
- 35:46Speaker 1: if you were just casually watching the game, you were
- 35:49Speaker 1: getting on board with it. If you didn't know who
- 35:51Speaker 1: Jake Plumber was. He's going nuts. Scataboo is throwing up.
- 35:56Speaker 1: I mean literally I threw up on the first and
- 35:58Speaker 1: my wife got mad at me. This fool those up
- 36:00Speaker 1: on the first and he wins the MVP. I mean
- 36:03Speaker 1: it's like he's throwing passes, he's catching fly routes and
- 36:07Speaker 1: getting tell the tall and he was like, what can
- 36:10Speaker 1: this guy not do? He was like a superhero down there.
- 36:14Speaker 2: It was amazing. He thought he played great. Kenny Dillingham
- 36:16Speaker 2: kudos to him too. I want to I thought he
- 36:20Speaker 2: handled just the entire deal pretty pretty classy. But that
- 36:23Speaker 2: guy's living his dream. It is always fun to watch
- 36:28Speaker 2: somebody live out their dream. I mean, that guy grew
- 36:32Speaker 2: up cheering for Arizona State, going to ball games since
- 36:36Speaker 2: he was a kid, and just watching him have them
- 36:40Speaker 2: in the playoff and candidly what feels like getting them
- 36:44Speaker 2: set up to be a good football team, because that
- 36:46Speaker 2: has always been a program that has felt like it's underachieved,
- 36:50Speaker 2: and it doesn't feel like it's about to stay that
- 36:52Speaker 2: way with everything that's going on. And I would think
- 36:55Speaker 2: he's certainly gonna be able to get some running backs
- 36:57Speaker 2: after what Scattaboy's.
- 36:59Speaker 3: Been able to do.
- 37:00Speaker 2: So just really, the playoff here, one hundred percent right,
- 37:04Speaker 2: has been has been outstanding, been fun. Even though some
- 37:07Speaker 2: of the games have not been great because they've been
- 37:10Speaker 2: really one sided, it has there have been some great
- 37:14Speaker 2: moments in it too. And part of the reason Ohio
- 37:17Speaker 2: State's games hasn't been closed is because they have been flawless.
- 37:21Speaker 2: I mean they have looked really really good. Tennessee is
- 37:25Speaker 2: not nearly as bad as they made them look, and
- 37:27Speaker 2: neither's Oregon, and they made both those teams look pedestrian.
- 37:33Speaker 1: On the other side, I know we talked about college
- 37:35Speaker 1: football all season long, but with the NFL playoffs on
- 37:38Speaker 1: Saturday and Sunday, have you peaked at any of these
- 37:41Speaker 1: lines yet?
- 37:42Speaker 3: Oh?
- 37:42Speaker 2: Yeah, I've looked at I've looked at several. That's speaking
- 37:45Speaker 2: of the Steelers. Holy smokes, that line's huge for a
- 37:48Speaker 2: rivalry game.
- 37:49Speaker 1: Well you dropped it finally went under ten today. It's
- 37:52Speaker 1: not a nine and a half.
- 37:53Speaker 2: So yeah, well it's I mean it's because those games.
- 37:55Speaker 2: I mean, look, look the Steelers. Hell, they've only beaten them.
- 37:59Speaker 2: Lamar's only beat I'm like twice, and one of them
- 38:01Speaker 2: was two or three weeks ago. So I mean, I
- 38:04Speaker 2: you know, it's a you know that if the Steelers
- 38:08Speaker 2: were just remotely decent, But that looks like that looks
- 38:11Speaker 2: like a team that has slid off the skids, and
- 38:13Speaker 2: there's clearly some locker room issues. So if I'm a
- 38:17Speaker 2: if I'm a sporting man, I think your money is
- 38:19Speaker 2: on the Ravens. I think they're gonna I think they
- 38:22Speaker 2: may pound my Steelers this weekend.
- 38:25Speaker 1: I have several investments on Ravens to win the whole things,
- 38:29Speaker 1: because I think they're the best team in this deal.
- 38:30Speaker 1: But Derrick Henry, WHOA that guy. I was reading this
- 38:35Speaker 1: article today. At his age, he's averaging one point seven
- 38:39Speaker 1: yards per carry, more than EMITTT Smith was when emmittt
- 38:42Speaker 1: was thirty. And that dude hits the corner and it's
- 38:45Speaker 1: like he is shot out of a gun, and I'm
- 38:48Speaker 1: he's an animal, I mean, and he looks like he's
- 38:50Speaker 1: having so much fun playing for them. Thank you for
- 38:53Speaker 1: leaving Tennessee because I had a terrible franchise, apparently, but
- 38:58Speaker 1: I've been I've enjoyed it all. So yeah, I'm looking
- 39:00Speaker 1: forward to the whole weekend. College football is gonna be great.
- 39:03Speaker 1: Hit us up if you want to talk about it
- 39:04Speaker 1: on Twitter, give us some reviews, some ratings. We'll be
- 39:07Speaker 1: back next week to talk championship. We'll try to look
- 39:10Speaker 1: at some derivative lines, Scott do I may even try
- 39:12Speaker 1: to drive into some player props. When you've only got
- 39:14Speaker 1: one game, you've got to dig into these types of things.
- 39:17Speaker 1: But with all that being said, everybody, enjoy the game.
- 39:19Speaker 1: If you're in the Midwest, enjoy you some cold weather
- 39:23Speaker 1: and some snow. If you're in Dallas, be safe and
- 39:26Speaker 1: we'll talk to you next week.
