- Embodied By Jenna: Hey goddess, today I wanted to talk to you about how to create a life that you are fucking obsessed with. As I am thinking back to who I was at the end of 2025 when I went through my traumatic breakup, I could not be a more different person today. And when I think about the quality of my relationships now versus then. The reason that I was having such difficulty was because I wasn't honoring my desire or my truth in multiple different aspects of my life. I was living a life for everybody else. I was constantly thinking about how to please other people. I was constantly folding to the expectations that society had thrust upon me. And I was constantly abandoning my own wants, needs, and desires, which ended up having a negative impact on several aspects of my life, but in particular my relationships. And so today I want to say that I have. The most fulfilling and intimate relationships of my life. And my life is so full that I choose to come here on this podcast every single week and to talk about my life experience to help other people. And through this process, I have gotten so much positive feedback from people that I know and love about how I have. Helped them improve their lives. And it has been so fucking fulfilling. And it would have never happened had I not gone through the experience of self-abandonment and people pleasing winding up in a relationship that was completely misaligned and living a life that I did not really like at the end of 2025. Okay. And so If there's anything that you're questioning in your life right now, I want you to know that you're not alone and that it is very possible to make changes. And so today, what I am going to talk to you about is a story from my own personal life where I was living a life that was completely misaligned. And then I am going to teach you exactly what I did to create the life that I have today, which I am. Fucking obsessed with because babe, you deserve to live a good life. You deserve to honor your desires on a daily basis. And so when we can say fuck no to doing shit that we don't want to do and say fuck yes to doing shit that we really want to do, well, then that's when things get juicy, and that's when all of our relationships improve. And so without further ado, let's get started. so when I moved back from traveling in 2023, I taught yoga abroad for two years in Mexico and Puerto Rico. I was super depressed. All right. My dream of being a traveling yoga teacher basically fell apart. And I was forced to move back home to Buffalo, New York in the middle of winter, which was fucking miserable. And I had amassed some debt as I was traveling abroad. And so my reality pretty much crash landed back at home where I was forced to work 40 hours a week to pay off my debt in the cold and have very little pleasure or enjoyment or fulfillment. And one month after being back, I went and saw the disco biscuits with a good friend of mine at the Capitol Theater in Port Chester. Their music is so unique. There's no other band that sounds like the disco biscuits. And their shows are really fun. They're really high energy. They have a crazy light show. And their fans are known for partying and doing lots of drugs. the term disco biscuit is actually a slang word. For ecstasy pills. All right. So I'm just giving you some context here about the kind of shit that goes down at a disco biscuit show. And from that moment forward, I was hooked. I loved the music. I loved the atmosphere. And yeah, we did some drugs. Okay. Like we were partying and just dancing our asses off in the front row. And then a few months later, I went to a music festival with her, and we saw the disco biscuits again, and it was incredible. We formed a community of friends that we were partying with. The music was on point. And from that moment forward, I was like, yeah, this is what I want to do. I just wanted to escape. The life that I had at home, which was consumed with working to pay off debt and doing a bunch of shit that I genuinely did not want to do. And so seeing the disco biscuits became my escape. I saw 25 disco biscuits shows in the year 2024. Okay. That is how deep I got. I traveled the country. I was going to Texas and Maine and Connecticut and New York and New Jersey and you name it. I was I was there. I was at the disco biscuit shows. I even saw the disco biscuits in a frickin' cave in Tennessee. Okay. And I was spending so much money. To travel and see these shows. And I had signed up for a 500-hour yoga teacher training simultaneously in 2024 because I really wanted to continue being a yoga teacher and continue traveling. Well, I was even like skipping out on some weekends of the yoga teacher training to go see the disco biscuits. So that's how much of an obsession this became. And pretty much I went on into 2025. I took a break from the disco biscuits. I took a break from partying. But then my life was still very mundane. I wasn't happy with the jobs that I was working. I wasn't happy with the relationships I had. And eventually it caused me to get into an entanglement with that partner who I went through the traumatic breakup with at the end of 2025. Everything came to a head when we were seeing the disco biscuits at a festival down in Florida. And he ended up doing drugs and having a mental breakdown where he screamed at me for 48 hours. And he ended up driving away from the festival by himself, never to be seen again. And that was like a holy shit moment for me. Literally an all time low because I was so. beside myself as to how things had gotten that bad that quickly. And so that moment Woke me the fuck up, y'all. Like when I was driving home from Florida, I stopped in Asheville, North Carolina, and I ended up going to a yoga class entitled Yoga for 12 Step Recovery. And so this is an AA adjunct that really supported people in exploring their sobriety and relationship to substance. And because of my yoga background, it really resonated with me. And I ended up Committing to going through that program. And so that's what I did. I really started to rebuild my life. I started to question how things had ended up in that all time low. And it turns out that through my own self inquiry, I realized that my entire life was constructed. Through me doing shit that I did not want to fucking do. Okay. I hated my jobs. I thought my day to day life was mundane. I didn't like being in the city of Buffalo. I was not practicing yoga, which was my passion. I did not feel comfortable in my own authentic self expression. I had the fear of being seen. And I was really compromising. In that relationship because I felt like I truly could not have the partner who embodied the qualities that I desired. And so that was like an all-out full on stop. I reevaluated everything in my life. And I started to make choices that honored my desire every single day. I changed career paths. I did a 30-day fashion challenge where I honored my authentic self-expression through getting dressed every single day. I started hosting my kinky food party event that honors sensuality and sexuality and women coming together to honor their bodies. And I started speaking more online and on this podcast. We are now in episode 22 or 23, and I have created a community of people who tune in every single week to hear about my life experience and to gain knowledge on how to improve their own lives. And this has been so incredibly fulfilling for me, y'all. I am telling you. I show up here on this podcast every single week out of my own genuine desire because I love it. And I love the response that I get from you. And so this past month, the disco biscuits came to Buffalo. Okay. And I have made all of these changes. And when the disco biscuits came back, I was questioning if I was even gonna go to the show because I haven't seen them since my traumatic. Breakup, right? And I didn't decide until the week before that I was gonna go to the shows. And as I am there, I'm surrounded by my friends, I'm in community, and I am there viewing the band and it had a totally different effect on me. Like I felt so full and so complete. As I was standing there watching the band, I enjoyed the entertainment and the lights and the sounds, but it wasn't filling a deep void within me that it was filling before. I didn't feel any kind of obsession or longing or desire to hop on tour and to go see the next show that was in Syracuse on Sunday night. I very easily could have, right? But When I looked at who I was in that moment, I realized that I was meeting my own needs in such a healthy way that the disco biscuits no longer filled that need that I had been longing for back in 2024 and 2025, which was to escape a life that I didn't fucking like. You see, here today, I am so fucking obsessed with my own life and what I have created and who I am that I had no desire to the disco biscuits again. It was one of those things where I was at the show and I was like, Yeah, I can just let this be what it is, and I'll see them the next time that they come to Buffalo. And that felt so fucking good because I really did the work to stop doing shit that I did not want to fucking do and to start doing shit that I wanted to do unapologetically. And I am telling you, all of my relationships have been better because of it. I even had a really intimate and fulfilling and connective experience with a partner that was so new for me and so exciting and safe and embodied because I had done the work within myself to get to the place of being able to hold space. And to communicate in a way that honored my desires. I am so fucking proud of myself, especially from where I was at this time last year going through that traumatic breakup. I am different and all of my relationships are different. And so I really wanted to teach you today exactly what the fuck I did to get to this place because it has been. Rapid transformation in my life. And I'm telling you that if there's something that you are not happy with in your life, you absolutely have the power to change it. and you can do it through following these steps. So the first step is to understand what you fucking value. Okay. And so writing down the list of values, direct communication, honesty, cleanliness, it can go on and on, right? You can Google your own values list, write it down, see what's important to you, see what strikes the chord in your body. But then I want you to evaluate your own behavior up against your values because if you are not moving through the world in a way That is in alignment with your values. Well, then you don't actually value that thing. Ooh, harsh, right? So when I was on biscuits tour and I told you that I was skipping weekends of my yoga teacher training to go see the disco biscuits. Well, this was a total conflict with what I thought I valued. Okay. Because I had created this story in my mind that I truly valued being a yoga teacher, right? But what I was doing was that I was canceling on the classes that I had paid for to go see the disco biscuits. And so while I thought I had valued teaching yoga, I wasn't actually moving through the world in a way that displayed my values. I valued seeing the disco biscuits more than I valued being a yoga teacher. Ouch, that hurts, right? And so first off, you need to write down on paper what you actually value. And then second off, you need to look at what you are doing in your day-to-day life to determine: am I moving through the world in a way that is in integrity with my values? And so, for example, if you value cleanliness, let's say, right? Is your room a mess? Or do you keep it really clean? If you value communication, are you able to have an open conversation with the people that you love? Or are you maybe telling half truths or keeping some things to yourself because you're afraid of how these people might respond to what you have to say? Right? So now that you've done your values assessment and you see what you're actually doing versus who you think you are, you can start to move through the world in a way that embodies those values. So for me, After my all-time low, I committed to going to yoga for 12-step recovery every Monday. And then I started teaching yoga at the beginning of 2026. And I have taught yoga almost every single Friday this year. I think I have maybe been out of town for two classes. And so you see, I have aligned my actions. with my value by showing up consistently to lead my students through the practice of yoga every single Friday. Step three. you really need to honor your desire. So I want you to think about what you truly want. And I want you to get a little bit delusional here, okay? Like dream big. I don't want the constraints or the expectations of society or other people to cloud the judgment of what you truly want because. I really think that our society functions and operates off of making us do things that we do not want to do. Seriously. You know, who really wants to work a nine to five? I don't know if people would actually do that if they felt like they had a choice. And so I want you to think about what turns you the fuck on. What gets you so Fucking excited and horny and wet when you are thinking about your ultimate dream life. for me, I love fashion. Okay. So I love putting together an outfit. I love going shopping. And I decided to do that 30-day fashion challenge as a practice to honor my desire because what had happened. Was that I had a full closet filled with beautiful clothes that I wasn't wearing on a daily basis because I was working this job that was a stay at home job. And so I felt like, well, what's the fucking point? Who's gonna see me? Well, it's for me. It's literally not for anyone else but me. Putting on my outfit every day makes me feel so good. It fills me with pleasure and joy. And that created an overflow of creative energy in my life that poured into other hobbies and passions and really gave me the fortitude to come out online and to create this podcast. And so this is your permission slip here to do a little bit less of shit that you do not want to fucking do, and to do a little bit more of what you want to do. Through honoring your desire. It's not selfish. You don't have to feel guilty about it. You only have one life, and you might as well make it feel fucking good. Because I am telling you through following these tips, I have created a life that I am fucking obsessed with. I determined my values. I did an assessment of my behavior to see if my behavior aligned with those values. And then I started moving through the world in a way that honored my values and honored my authentic desire. When you can do something small every single day that truly Honors your freedom of choice and your freedom of self expression, that is when your entire fucking life will change. I am telling you, because now that I am out here online speaking my truth, dressing in my cute little outfits, sharing philosophy of yoga and embodiment, I have found my people, y'all. And I am able to communicate with intimate partners about what I want and what makes me feel good instead of settling for something that's just half ass or so so. And I'm telling you, y'all, life gets so fucking juicy when you lean into the hot, steamy goodness of honoring your desire on a daily basis. Because for me, y'all, I'm just getting started. Okay. It's only been one year of me making choices on a day-to-day basis to honor what the fuck I want to do. And I am telling you, it is only going to get better. And so this is your permission slip, okay? Stop doing shit you don't want to fucking do. Start doing shit you really wanna do. And then all of a sudden, you are going to have a life that you are fucking obsessed with. Thank you for tuning in to another episode of the Priestess Temple Podcast.
