- 0:05Welcome to The Hypnotist, the show that gives you inside
- 0:09access to cutting edge hypnosis with real clients facing
- 0:12genuine. Issues.
- 0:13Brought to you by The Hypnotherapist, demanded by
- 0:16celebrities, CEOs and even royalty, Adam Cox.
- 0:20These recordings took place live from Adam's clinic in London's
- 0:24world famous Harley Street. So get yourself comfortable and
- 0:31enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:38Hi, it's Adam here. Now, how would you like to have
- 0:42more confidence and more luck when it comes to influencing
- 0:48other people? That's essentially what this
- 0:51hypnosis session is all about. And I was working with a.
- 0:54Client that was. Very high up politically in a
- 0:57global organization and part of their role was to influence.
- 1:03Some of the. Most influential people on the
- 1:06planet, we're talking very senior people, and that required
- 1:09an element of selling, but not in the conventional way of
- 1:12selling, where you're selling a product or a service.
- 1:15It's selling influence and connection and the ability to.
- 1:19Change. How the world thinks and
- 1:21operates and and works. Now because of that, they felt
- 1:25that they wanted to really feel aligned with that type of
- 1:28selling. So relationship based selling,
- 1:31but they also wanted to feel that they were going to be lucky
- 1:35and have good fortune. Now this is.
- 1:37Taking a couple of different principles, 1 is direct
- 1:40suggestion. This idea that they're unlocking
- 1:43the resources that they already have.
- 1:45They already were very much a people person with excellent.
- 1:47Communication skills. But they felt that they had to
- 1:51be someone different to who they were.
- 1:53So it addresses that, but also an element of law of attracting
- 1:57attraction and manifestation that they were attracting more
- 1:59luck and one of my favorite belief systems.
- 2:02About. Luck is the luckier that you
- 2:04believe that you are, the more luckier you become.
- 2:08And it really has all the ingredients of a self fulfilling
- 2:11prophecy. Because when you believe you are
- 2:13lucky, you tend to act in. Accordance that good.
- 2:16Things are going to happen. It subtly changes.
- 2:19Your body language, Your tonality.
- 2:21And there is. This element that good things
- 2:24will happen, so you tend to notice any of those.
- 2:27Opportunities that. Could go either way, and that is
- 2:30a form of hypnosis that you're doing with other people.
- 2:32Because when you assume good things are going to.
- 2:35Happen. People respond like that
- 2:38presupposition is true. It also has this idea of you
- 2:42reap what you sow and some people believe that sales is you
- 2:46pitch someone and you get an answer straight away.
- 2:48But actually it's more like give and take.
- 2:51And if you try and create value for other people, particularly
- 2:54in relationship building sales, then sooner or later.
- 2:57There is that. Ability to enhance the other
- 3:01person, and it's based on the law of reciprocity.
- 3:06So just imagine like someone's always willing to help you out
- 3:09and then one day they ask for a favour.
- 3:11How likely are you to help them if they've been so generous with
- 3:14their time and energy in the past?
- 3:17And if that would apply to you, it would also apply to other
- 3:21people. So it's this law of.
- 3:22Reciprocity. So if you like the idea of being
- 3:24more influential, of building kind of a big network, of moving
- 3:30on in your career and having more luck, I think you'll get
- 3:32some value from this session. It was created for an
- 3:35individual, so if you like the idea of working with me, have a
- 3:38look in the description on my website, adamcox.co.uk, and
- 3:41you'll see how easy it is to work with me there.
- 3:45For now though, find a quiet, comfortable place where you
- 3:47won't be distracted or disturbed.
- 3:49Relax and enjoy. The session.
- 4:10Take a deep breath in and as you breathe in, breathe in that
- 4:18feeling of calm relaxation and every time you exhale, just
- 4:25allow yourself to release and sit.
- 4:30Position your body in a way where you can really feel
- 4:33comfortable. That's it, and with your eyes
- 4:38closed, you can become more aware of the sound of my voice.
- 4:48Breathing in relaxation and exhaling tension.
- 4:57Each breath takes you deeper and deeper.
- 5:04Relaxed. That's it.
- 5:09You find the rhythm of your breathing and just notice that
- 5:14when you slow down the inward breath, you feel more
- 5:22resourceful, and when you elongate the outward breath you
- 5:29can release. Each breath takes you deeper and
- 5:36deeper. Relaxed eyelids feeling, heavier
- 5:39jaw, looser neck and shoulders more and more relaxed.
- 5:44That's it. And the deeper you breathe, the
- 5:52more relaxed you feel. And the more relaxed you feel
- 5:59the deeper you breathe. Each breath can take you deeper
- 6:07to that place, a place of neural plasticity.
- 6:14When new ideas become unconscious thoughts and
- 6:19decisions all by themselves, that's it.
- 6:26Any distractions around you, just allow them to be just like
- 6:31clouds in the sky. That's it, and they can float on
- 6:37by. Don't affect you in any way
- 6:46right now, just connect with the possibility of attracting more
- 6:55of what you desire and releasing anything that impedes it.
- 7:03Pressure dissolves and melts away.
- 7:08Stress is subjective. Stress is simply the contrast
- 7:16between resources and demands. And as you feel more
- 7:23resourceful, stress reduces because you feel that you can
- 7:29handle it. To allow the breath to become
- 7:33more steady and natural, allow the muscles around the eyes to
- 7:39just relax even more, jaw to loosen and shoulders to drop.
- 7:47That's it. And somewhere in your mind,
- 7:52there is a part that works best when it's not trying so hard.
- 8:00Connect with that idea. Remember a memory where you
- 8:05tried very little and you were able to effortlessly accomplish,
- 8:14And when the mind begins to quiet, the deeper, wiser part of
- 8:23you becomes receptive because there is a part within the
- 8:30desires break luck, good fortune.
- 8:39I want you to think of a place, maybe from your childhood or
- 8:45just a place outside in nature, with a path, a specific path
- 8:52you've walked down many times before, only this time, this
- 8:58path, now represents your professional journey.
- 9:06And maybe that path is solid. Feel the stability beneath your
- 9:13feet. And I want you to get a sense
- 9:18that although you recognise the path, you don't know for sure
- 9:23the destination. And that doesn't matter, because
- 9:30even when the destination ahead isn't fully visible yet, the
- 9:38ground beneath you is still steady.
- 9:44And as you walk forward, I want you to connect with an insight
- 9:51or an idea. Every step forward reveals more
- 10:04of the path, and you don't need to see the entire journey, just
- 10:13the next step. And with each next step, you can
- 10:19feel a little more comfortable, a little more capable, a little
- 10:28more certain. There's different types of
- 10:33confidence, but real, solid confidence doesn't come from
- 10:40knowing everything. It comes from trusting in your
- 10:45ability to handle what life throws your way and to respond
- 10:53to what needs to be responded to.
- 11:00And sometimes people hesitate to ask for help, and sometimes it's
- 11:06because there's a belief hidden behind the curtain.
- 11:14If I ask, it means I should already know.
- 11:18If I ask, I might inconvenience someone.
- 11:24But I want you to consider something different.
- 11:29Asking is simply knocking on a door, and every door can be
- 11:37answered in one of two ways, yes or no.
- 11:44The door opens or the door remain closed, and both are
- 11:50completely acceptable because asking is not demanding.
- 11:58Asking is not entitlement. It's simply an invitation, an
- 12:07opportunity, a moment of connection.
- 12:17And many people get their significance from being able to
- 12:21help. They enjoy helping.
- 12:26It makes them feel helpful, Useful.
- 12:30They enjoy sharing knowledge, they enjoy contributing to
- 12:35someone else's success. And therefore, when someone
- 12:42cannot help or just doesn't want to, they know it's simply
- 12:49information. It's nothing more and certainly
- 12:55nothing personal, just information that guides the next
- 13:00step. And you don't even need to know
- 13:04why they can't help or don't want to.
- 13:09You just accept it. And when you consider every ask
- 13:18for help, there's an opportunity to either win or learn to
- 13:26benefit or stay the same. Asking becomes easy, simple,
- 13:35natural, just another form of communication.
- 13:42And just think of 1 memory, just one with someone that you'd lost
- 13:50touch with, reached out and asked for help and maybe you
- 13:59could help. And maybe that revitalized that
- 14:04connection. As you continue walking down the
- 14:11path, I want you to Daydream. Imagine yourself in a
- 14:15professional environment. Maybe it's high level meetings
- 14:22or working at that place that you normally send emails from,
- 14:31or maybe it's meeting someone new.
- 14:37Observe yourself first, but notice how calm and comfortable
- 14:41that version of you looks. How easy it is for you to
- 14:48introduce yourself to someone that you've never met before.
- 14:56I want you to get a sense that you can manifest connections,
- 15:02and connections can become relationships, and relationships
- 15:06could even become friends and then step into that version of
- 15:11you. That is fine, asking,
- 15:15introducing, connecting, because relationship building is
- 15:20something you do naturally. You listen, you observe, you
- 15:30understand people and people can feel that from you.
- 15:38You are not here right now due to luck.
- 15:43You were chosen because you are capable.
- 15:49And what if every conversation becomes an opportunity?
- 15:56An opportunity to understand someone better, an opportunity
- 16:02to strengthen connection. And the more you think of that
- 16:10progression, the truer it becomes.
- 16:17Good friendships before that were trusted relationships, and
- 16:25at one point it was a connection, and before that it
- 16:30was a stranger. And if that's true for all of
- 16:34your friendships, it works the other way round.
- 16:39Strangers become connections. Connections become
- 16:43relationships. Relationships become trusted
- 16:48relationships, and trusted relationships can become
- 16:53friendships, and those friendships create networks of
- 16:58goodwill because people remember how you make them feel
- 17:06Respected, valued, understood. And what if, because of that,
- 17:14people are wanting to help you succeed?
- 17:19And not because you demand it, but because they enjoy being
- 17:24part of your journey? When most people think of
- 17:31selling, they think of car salespeople or pushy insurance
- 17:37salespeople. But that idea of selling isn't
- 17:42true. All communication that involves
- 17:49influence is selling. A politician influencing through
- 17:59a speech or a television appearance is selling a policy
- 18:03or an idea. A trial lawyer is selling
- 18:09arguments to a jury. Selling is not pressure, and
- 18:16selling is not convincing someone to do something they
- 18:19don't want. Selling is simply helping
- 18:23someone see value, to help someone in some way.
- 18:31And when you believe in something, sharing it becomes
- 18:36natural. It becomes a conversation, an
- 18:41exploration. You simply present opportunities
- 18:50and it's the other person who decides if it's right for them.
- 18:57Then you might be selling the idea of a meeting, the idea of
- 19:06some membership or connection, and quite often whatever you're
- 19:14selling has something before it. You're selling first.
- 19:21Before you sell the agreement, you sell the conversation that
- 19:25leads to the agreement. And before you sell the
- 19:30conversation, you're selling your credentials, relevancy.
- 19:38You feel comfortable influencing.
- 19:49And sometimes when people think of selling as influencing, it
- 19:55feels more palatable, more comfortable, and there is
- 20:00freedom. There is freedom in intending to
- 20:05influence but respecting the other person's desire.
- 20:14Or decision to be influenced or not.
- 20:18No pressure, just clarity. You offer and they choose.
- 20:29And one of the secret weapons and influence is being genuine.
- 20:39And because you communicate with sincerity and authenticity, your
- 20:45confidence becomes persuasive without force or coercion.
- 20:51It's not needed. Continue on that path, the path
- 21:00from your memory solid beneath your feet.
- 21:04And as you continue forward, I want you to imagine seeing the
- 21:11very scenarios on that path that would represent good fortune.
- 21:19Just imagine opportunities begin to appear.
- 21:23Conversations, introductions, unexpected insights, helpful
- 21:31people appearing at exactly the right moment.
- 21:38This is what some people call luck.
- 21:43But often luck is simply the awareness to see where
- 21:49opportunity and capability collide.
- 21:54And the more relaxed and confident you feel, the more you
- 21:58notice opportunities around you, the more when you become to
- 22:05possibility, and when you are open to possibility, serendipity
- 22:14begins to work for you. I want you to imagine that
- 22:19serendipity is a personal assistant looking for good
- 22:26fortune to bring your way. And you might meet someone
- 22:31unexpectedly who becomes important later.
- 22:36He might have a conversation that leads somewhere valuable,
- 22:41and you might notice a connection others would miss.
- 22:46Because when your mind is calm and confident, your awareness
- 22:51expands. And when awareness expands,
- 22:58fortune often follows. I want you to imagine that if
- 23:05you were walking down that path, sprinkling flower seeds wherever
- 23:11you walked either side of the path, you would see nothing
- 23:16immediately. But if you were to return to
- 23:20that path, you would see all of the blooming flowers, but only
- 23:28because you scattered the seeds before.
- 23:34And I want you to think of the many skills you already possess.
- 23:39Your ability to connect with people, your curiosity, your
- 23:43willingness to learn. Feel gratitude for, your ability
- 23:50to build trust. Because all of these are
- 23:53powerful qualities, and the more you use them, the stronger they
- 24:00become. Confidence grows through
- 24:05experience and every conversation, every interaction,
- 24:13every connection strengthens your belief in yourself and that
- 24:24voice. That may be said before, I'm out
- 24:28of my depth. I don't know how to do this is
- 24:31now being replaced with a voice that says I can handle this.
- 24:37I know how to connect with people, I can build
- 24:40relationships, I can utilize my connections.
- 24:46Opportunities appear when I'm open to them and as that self
- 24:53belief and confidence expands, there's a feeling that good luck
- 24:58is heading your way. I want you to imagine yourself
- 25:03further down the path and that might represent three or six
- 25:09months into your future, and just notice how different things
- 25:15would feel then. When your network has grown,
- 25:20when people have already seen you shine, they've seen your
- 25:23skills. When micromanagement isn't
- 25:26necessary because they know that you have the ability to do what
- 25:34you need to do. Imagine conversations feeling
- 25:39easier. Asking for help galvanizes,
- 25:45amplifies relationships, doesn't dilute them.
- 25:52You want to help others, and very soon more and more people
- 25:57want to help you, and in doing so, the network has become
- 26:02stronger. Feel all of that goodwill.
- 26:10Feel that there is not a need to force anything.
- 26:14You're just benefiting from the flowers that were planted months
- 26:20before. That's it.
- 26:24So just connect with that idea. Open up receptivity to luck,
- 26:35good fortune, feel your confidence rising, and give
- 26:41yourself permission to ask without expectation.
- 26:46It's liberating, and now it's time to leave that path.
- 26:54Float back to the present with a new feeling of positivity,
- 27:00optimism, and a deep sense that something wonderful is going to
- 27:05happen very, very soon. Take a deep breath in through
- 27:10your nose and out through your nose.
- 27:15Wiggle your fingers and wiggle your toes.
- 27:18Connect and calibrate into the here and the now as I now count
- 27:23from 1:00 to 10:00 to awaken you starting to count 123 waking up
- 27:33456 more alert 78. Open your.
