- 0:00Hello. Welcome to the No God Coach
- 0:02Huddle for June 3rd, 2025. Your
- 0:04two-minute play of the day for applying
- 0:06God's word in your life. So, let's
- 0:08huddle up and hear today's play from
- 0:10Luke 18, which says, "Jesus looked at
- 0:12him and said, "How hard it is for the
- 0:15rich to enter the kingdom of God."
- 0:17Indeed, it's easier for a camel to go
- 0:19through the eye of a needle than for
- 0:20someone who is rich to enter the kingdom
- 0:23of God. Jesus looked at the rich man who
- 0:26was speaking with him about entering
- 0:28heaven and told him, "It's easier for a
- 0:30camel to go through the eye of a sewing
- 0:33needle than for a rich man to enter
- 0:35heaven." This was a good man as he
- 0:38obeyed the law for many years. But he
- 0:40was not going to heaven, which was the
- 0:42goal of his obedience. What choice did
- 0:45the rich man have? He'd come to Jesus to
- 0:48hear from him what was necessary for
- 0:50entering heaven. The answer the rich man
- 0:53received was not what he wanted to hear
- 0:55and so he rejected Jesus. What is the
- 0:59return eternal result of such a choice?
- 1:02It's hell, not heaven. We all do this.
- 1:05We want our own religion and we want God
- 1:07to conform to it. But he doesn't and he
- 1:10won't. And when he judges us, he will
- 1:13condemn all those who refuse to conform
- 1:15to his commands. The rich man wanted to
- 1:18believe that his understanding of what
- 1:21pleased God was more accurate than God
- 1:23himself telling him what pleased God.
- 1:26The Bible is God telling us what pleases
- 1:29him. Yet we ignore it. We reject it
- 1:32comforting ourselves with the notion
- 1:35that we are good people doing the right
- 1:37things that God will reward us. The
- 1:40epitome of our arrogance is our
- 1:41insistence on our own way to heaven
- 1:44which conflicts with a clear way
- 1:46revealed by God in Jesus. The only way
- 1:49to heaven according to scripture. This
- 1:51is our dilemma. Believe ourselves or
- 1:54believe the Bible. Believe the majority
- 1:56or believe the few who believe the
- 1:58Bible. We are gambling with our eternal
- 2:01souls. God's ways leads to everlasting
- 2:04life in love, joy, peace with all those
- 2:08who have also loved him and obeyed his
- 2:11commands. Our ways lead to eternal
- 2:14suffering, torment, and pain and
- 2:16suffering forever. God is love and he's
- 2:19revealed by his love with his
- 2:21instructions on how to live forever with
- 2:24him in the scriptures. Then making that
- 2:26possible through the life, death, and
- 2:28resurrection of the Lord Jesus. Are we
- 2:31the rich man believing we know best what
- 2:34pleases God while we ignore his command
- 2:36to love him with all of our heart, soul,
- 2:38mind, and strength, proven by our
- 2:40complete allegiance to him above
- 2:42everything and every person on earth? Or
- 2:45have we abandoned the things of this
- 2:46world to live forever in the next world,
- 2:49proven by our total commitment to
- 2:51working toward God's kingdom coming to
- 2:53earth as it is in heaven.
