- 1:06Speaker 4: Man?
- 1:06Speaker 1: Tuesday? Why is this worse? That's what I want to know. Yeah,
- 1:11Speaker 1: I don't know what I know. When we started singing,
- 1:13Speaker 1: like half the audience left, Yeah, that happened. Your singing
- 1:19Speaker 1: isn't tune as we are normally. It was great. Yeah yeah,
- 1:23Speaker 1: man left. Yeah, you know it's bad with no way.
- 1:28Speaker 1: He was like singing him out, he was, he was,
- 1:32Speaker 1: we are done, we are done. So this is why
- 1:36Speaker 1: I need room. And then you're going to just go
- 1:38Speaker 1: ahead and lean into it. So you're welcome.
- 1:41Speaker 5: And may you live another twelve months, I mean a
- 1:44Speaker 5: couple of years. We love you, man, Just just another
- 1:48Speaker 5: twelve months, that's all you get, No more, don't get greedy. Hey,
- 1:54Speaker 5: if you knew how long you really had, we take
- 1:57Speaker 5: it for granted every day, but enjoy each moment with
- 2:00Speaker 5: your family.
- 2:01Speaker 1: With playing key Forge, all of this can go away.
- 2:04Speaker 1: Speaking of playing key Forge, we have the drafs cores
- 2:07Speaker 1: of the Drafs cour Draz Corps. Hey, guys, it's a
- 2:12Speaker 1: dras corps of the Draz score. Go to drazz score
- 2:16Speaker 1: dot com. Did you want your drafts score? Go to
- 2:19Speaker 1: draftscore dot com to get your scores. We have the
- 2:21Speaker 1: Ewok Gist of Ewoks Ewok Junior, Hello, key forde Community,
- 2:26Speaker 1: Glad to be here, and the PhD of key Forge
- 2:30Speaker 1: Doctor m Sheep. Hello. So speaking of playing KeyForge, right,
- 2:36Speaker 1: like some things, stuff and things came through. I believe
- 2:40Speaker 1: it was literally the day after we had we had recorded,
- 2:45Speaker 1: and that's fine.
- 2:46Speaker 5: It was the day after. But you know why I
- 2:48Speaker 5: had to wait? What comes out in two weeks?
- 2:50Speaker 1: Boys? Uh my taxes? No, you failed? Next next guest,
- 2:57Speaker 1: we are probably start championship.
- 2:59Speaker 5: Yep store championships. So what has to be updated two
- 3:02Speaker 5: weeks before your actual Yes, your alliance did well, but
- 3:07Speaker 5: it's all of it. It's it's alliance and your rules.
- 3:10Speaker 5: And then yes, the vaults, which.
- 3:12Speaker 1: Didn't they arata the stupid Guistoyd ke Chee like halfway
- 3:19Speaker 1: through store Championships.
- 3:22Speaker 5: It was right after and I don't remember.
- 3:26Speaker 1: The timing was weird. It was right before vaults started.
- 3:30Speaker 1: I remember that. I don't recall. It might it might
- 3:34Speaker 1: have been because Roseville was very early some years, so
- 3:39Speaker 1: it's possible it might have been during store champs. I
- 3:43Speaker 1: don't remember impacting our store champs, but you know, we
- 3:47Speaker 1: might have done ours on the earlier side as opposed
- 3:50Speaker 1: to the later side. So I don't recall. I don't
- 3:54Speaker 1: remember either because that was a long time ago. It
- 3:58Speaker 1: was like two years ago. What's Grim Reminders? Does it
- 4:02Speaker 1: even matter anymore? Yes? Does it?
- 4:06Speaker 5: It's our new local loves geisttoid so.
- 4:11Speaker 1: I would love I love Geistoid too, And then they
- 4:15Speaker 1: released prophetic visions and they were like, what's Grim Reminders?
- 4:19Speaker 1: Hold my beer? It was a counter PV. Is counter
- 4:23Speaker 1: to gr PD is not a PV, is a counter
- 4:27Speaker 1: to KeyForge. All of it's me. This is true. So
- 4:32Speaker 1: but we did get the US Vault tour dates for
- 4:35Speaker 1: twenty twenty six, so make sure you guys go get
- 4:38Speaker 1: your tickets. Now we are going to kick it off
- 4:41Speaker 1: May fifteenth to the seventeenth in port I guess Portland
- 4:44Speaker 1: was a big deal Portland, Oregon and Guardian Games PDX.
- 4:48Speaker 1: Oh is that where it was last year? I didn't
- 4:52Speaker 1: did anybody go to Portland? I did not go live
- 4:56Speaker 1: last year. I had a wedding and could not attend.
- 5:00Speaker 1: So but I believe this is the place that they
- 5:05Speaker 1: were at last year. And from what I remember chatting
- 5:11Speaker 1: with Mammon Mamon d G local both ac and redacted
- 5:17Speaker 1: team member because never heard of him. Yeah, we're incestuous
- 5:20Speaker 1: like that. The but the he said that the game
- 5:25Speaker 1: store was real cool. He liked the game store a lot.
- 5:28Speaker 1: He said that the hotel sucked. I mean, if they have.
- 5:33Speaker 5: A new hotel, Yeah, they have a new hotel that's
- 5:35Speaker 5: a different hotel.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Yeah, so he was pleased with situation. The hotel was sketchy,
- 5:43Speaker 1: to say the least. Have you ever been to the
- 5:45Speaker 1: Double Tree now to Marriott, Yeah, yeah, I know, but
- 5:51Speaker 1: the Double Tree is not exactly well across the street anyways,
- 5:55Speaker 1: we know all about that hotel with no door knobs. Well, yeah,
- 6:00Speaker 1: that's that's sketch town. But that's that's where Pete likes
- 6:03Speaker 1: to stay right that he only likes the sketchiest of hotels. Yeah,
- 6:08Speaker 1: and I heard about.
- 6:09Speaker 5: Him where down the street is the Portland Hotel was
- 6:13Speaker 5: actually sketchier.
- 6:14Speaker 1: I don't know if that's sketchier. Yeah, well, I so
- 6:18Speaker 1: I was. Mammon didn't say sketchy, he said shitty. It
- 6:24Speaker 1: was just like the Yeah. Yeah, so maybe it was
- 6:30Speaker 1: sketchy also, but there is a difference between sketchy and shitty. Yeah,
- 6:37Speaker 1: there's one difference. So so oft to we'll have to
- 6:41Speaker 1: get with mam in to see whether it was shitty
- 6:44Speaker 1: or sketchy, because these are too these are too highly different,
- 6:48Speaker 1: highly different things, right, because you can have a shitty
- 6:50Speaker 1: hotel not be sketchy, and it's sketchy hotel not be shitty.
- 6:55Speaker 1: You know, if there's a sign behind them posted for
- 6:58Speaker 1: hourly rates, maybe just don't go there.
- 7:02Speaker 5: And uh walk about it in the background doing some search.
- 7:05Speaker 5: In March twenty second of twenty twenty four is when
- 7:08Speaker 5: Acto charge was updated.
- 7:10Speaker 1: So you said March twenty You said March second.
- 7:13Speaker 5: Mar Yeah, No, March twenty second, twenty the end of March, yeah, late.
- 7:18Speaker 1: Yeah, so we were yeah, we were about halfway through
- 7:22Speaker 1: halfway through Star Championships. So and then we'll be going
- 7:27Speaker 1: June fifth through the seventh to Saint Louis, Missouri to
- 7:31Speaker 1: Yetti Games. I'm actually excited about this one. So's a
- 7:35Speaker 1: hold on little before we go to We didn't we
- 7:40Speaker 1: didn't finish talking about Portland. Yeah, what's the what is there's?
- 7:44Speaker 5: Like?
- 7:45Speaker 1: Are you doing for people to every strip club in Portland?
- 7:49Speaker 1: Is there really? Well, I'm definitely going then. I know
- 7:51Speaker 1: Portland is the strip club capital of the world. Don't
- 7:56Speaker 1: ask me how I know that.
- 7:57Speaker 3: Wow.
- 7:59Speaker 1: Well, I'm glad. I've already booked my tickets. I already
- 8:01Speaker 1: got my flight, I already I'm already getting the Portland
- 8:08Speaker 1: early blurb bonus, which I'm a little afraid as to
- 8:12Speaker 1: what that might actually be. Yeah, whatever blourb is blurb,
- 8:19Speaker 1: I'm getting. Sorry, you're ready for this. According to Google,
- 8:24Speaker 1: a twenty fifteen prisonomic analysts ranked it as the top
- 8:29Speaker 1: strippiest cities, cementing its reputation for having a large, legally
- 8:35Speaker 1: protected and cultural culturally integrated adult entertainment scene. Well, you know,
- 8:42Speaker 1: when I when I have my adult entertainment scene, I
- 8:45Speaker 1: want to make sure it's uh, you know, culturally appropriate.
- 8:51Speaker 1: I'm actually in this article now, and I really don't
- 8:54Speaker 1: know what I am. Well, okay, since its picture, maybe
- 8:58Speaker 1: some glassy boobs for sheep. There's a picture of his feet.
- 9:02Speaker 1: If you're in the feet cheap feet like feet, Well
- 9:04Speaker 1: he walks into that now. No, actually I dislike feet.
- 9:10Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, you you want to get rid of sheep? Everybody,
- 9:14Speaker 1: just show up a freaking sandals and I'll just leave.
- 9:17Speaker 1: I'll be like, no, you guys are all gross, and
- 9:19Speaker 1: I'm gonna so poor guys. Portland, Oregon has the population
- 9:25Speaker 1: of six hundred and nine thousand, four hundred and fifty
- 9:28Speaker 1: six and has fifty four strip clubs. That is a
- 9:34Speaker 1: that is an eight point eight six zero per capita
- 9:37Speaker 1: per one hundred thousand capita. So they have eight is
- 9:43Speaker 1: eight point eight six strip clubs for every one hundred
- 9:46Speaker 1: thousand people. Things I did not need to know that
- 9:51Speaker 1: I learned to right. I got to look cities with
- 9:56Speaker 1: the most strip clubs. Houston is number sixty, has sixty five,
- 10:00Speaker 1: but I'm guessing a lot more. Yeah, but he was
- 10:03Speaker 1: still to go there, guys. Houston has two million, one
- 10:07Speaker 1: ninety five and fourteen, leaving at only a two point
- 10:12Speaker 1: ninety five one soul. I just Oregon is the strippiest
- 10:18Speaker 1: state with three point eight million people's eighty eighty I'm
- 10:23Speaker 1: sorry Oregon, which Portland is in three Well, we'll call
- 10:29Speaker 1: it three point I know I made I made, I
- 10:32Speaker 1: made a mistake in talking three point nine million people.
- 10:36Speaker 1: There are eighty five strip clubs, so it's two point
- 10:39Speaker 1: one eight per capita for leamann of strip clubs. So yes,
- 10:43Speaker 1: there is enough strip clubs for everybody in Portland. Nice.
- 10:49Speaker 1: I learned this from the g I'm not gonna lie
- 10:51Speaker 1: any I mean, I was that tracks.
- 10:57Speaker 5: While this is earth shattering news really important, I actually
- 11:02Speaker 5: really want to get back to this early blour bonus
- 11:04Speaker 5: to strip that you're talking.
- 11:08Speaker 1: That's where you go is actually a ticket. Although blurbs
- 11:14Speaker 1: can't reap, they can strip. Yep. I don't want to that. No,
- 11:22Speaker 1: I just haven't enough with a little book and like
- 11:26Speaker 1: those weird high heels, get your AI out. Yeah here
- 11:31Speaker 1: I go, all right, now make me a slutty blurb,
- 11:39Speaker 1: but continue, what about blurbs. I actually think this is
- 11:44Speaker 1: a great addition.
- 11:45Speaker 5: Boys like serialized limited edition the five by seven is
- 11:51Speaker 5: a really interesting choice, but full art keyboards print if
- 11:55Speaker 5: you go ahead and order early, So you mean that
- 11:57Speaker 5: there's an incentive to actually buy my ticket early, and
- 12:01Speaker 5: so that also helps Gigi to know how many people
- 12:03Speaker 5: are gonna roughly be there.
- 12:05Speaker 1: H smart. You know, we asked Josh. We asked Josh
- 12:10Speaker 1: on the other cast, the Necho cast, which apparently we
- 12:13Speaker 1: were way too nice to him. So you were way
- 12:17Speaker 1: too you know, everybody was given us such crap because
- 12:21Speaker 1: we were too nice to Josh.
- 12:23Speaker 5: So I leave for a week and you guys are
- 12:27Speaker 5: like nice to to Joe.
- 12:29Speaker 1: So without e walk penalizing us, it's just hard.
- 12:33Speaker 5: I didn't even hear I didn't even hear that that
- 12:36Speaker 5: many squear jar donations like you guys.
- 12:39Speaker 1: Really we had some issues that week. Guys, we fucking suck.
- 12:45Speaker 1: Thank you for your donation. Now. Yeah, so the uh uh,
- 12:54Speaker 1: you'll work on it. I believe in you. Yeah, we'll
- 12:56Speaker 1: work on it. AnyWho.
- 12:57Speaker 5: The serialized, Yeah, serialize okay, So I don't know for me,
- 13:04Speaker 5: I'm picturing that.
- 13:06Speaker 1: Based on what's here.
- 13:07Speaker 5: Purchased ticket thirty days in advance, you receive this exclusive
- 13:10Speaker 5: collectible attituur. Every stop have its own unique keyboarde artwork,
- 13:15Speaker 5: so you have to go to Now you got to
- 13:17Speaker 5: go to all collect them, all right, boys, just different
- 13:23Speaker 5: at each one.
- 13:24Speaker 1: That's what it says.
- 13:25Speaker 5: That is this exclusive at the tour. Every stop has
- 13:30Speaker 5: its own unique keyboardge art. So I mean that's pretty
- 13:33Speaker 5: plain as day. So if you're not going cheap, you
- 13:36Speaker 5: will not be able to finish your complete collection.
- 13:40Speaker 1: Well I'm not going. I will be taking somebody else's yep.
- 13:47Speaker 5: And outside of that, there's also for the binder of binderness.
- 13:52Speaker 5: Just spend one hundred dollars to get a blob print
- 13:56Speaker 5: that whatever the artwork is, did it okay?
- 13:59Speaker 1: Are you to pick it up like a ship it
- 14:01Speaker 1: to you?
- 14:02Speaker 5: I mean, I'm sure that we have people who are
- 14:05Speaker 5: going to go to each of these events.
- 14:07Speaker 1: If I do not say anything, I'm unable to event.
- 14:09Speaker 1: Can you send me my five x seven print in
- 14:13Speaker 1: the mail?
- 14:16Speaker 5: I don't think that's going to be happening. But again,
- 14:18Speaker 5: this is a great way. I don't I don't know anyway,
- 14:23Speaker 5: full art, keyboards, print, yes and yes. So again playing
- 14:27Speaker 5: off of what they did recently, I think this is
- 14:29Speaker 5: a great choice. Serialized limitedition. People like things that are collectible,
- 14:34Speaker 5: she being one of those, the only question. Do you
- 14:38Speaker 5: guys remember the old like giant magic and Pokemon cards?
- 14:44Speaker 1: Yeah, no, yes, yes I do, but I don't know
- 14:47Speaker 1: things about stuff.
- 14:48Speaker 5: So but like that's what I'm picturing, and I'm like,
- 14:53Speaker 5: there's still something about having big giant chaos orb or
- 14:57Speaker 5: like something that's large, and that's kind.
- 14:59Speaker 1: Of what I'm pitchering. I feel like it also could
- 15:05Speaker 1: have just been.
- 15:07Speaker 5: The size of a card that's serialized that could have
- 15:10Speaker 5: been put in. I know we're still adverse to being
- 15:13Speaker 5: able to put in a car that could replace another.
- 15:15Speaker 1: One can't do it, but I can't do it at
- 15:17Speaker 1: my locals can't do it. I mean I could leave
- 15:22Speaker 1: it and you know the difference, you mean, like you
- 15:24Speaker 1: and I did the other day, But we can't do that.
- 15:27Speaker 1: It would be really cool. I mean I learned in
- 15:30Speaker 1: Portland you better sleave it. I mean, that's what I've
- 15:32Speaker 1: learned from this car podcast so far.
- 15:35Speaker 5: That's you know that as an AI summary, that's probably
- 15:38Speaker 5: about it when in Portland sleave it.
- 15:40Speaker 1: Yeah, that's what we learned, but we don't know that.
- 15:43Speaker 1: We just know there's a lot of strip clubs. We
- 15:44Speaker 1: don't know what else is going on. I mean, well,
- 15:47Speaker 1: technically you can.
- 15:48Speaker 5: Put it all together for one hundred dollars for.
- 15:52Speaker 1: One oh for a hundred dollars. That's pretty cheap.
- 15:55Speaker 5: It's it's a two for one one hundred dollars. But
- 16:01Speaker 5: you gotta s leave it in Portland. That's a summary.
- 16:05Speaker 1: I mean one hundred dollars, that's not too bad. I
- 16:09Speaker 1: mean x rays here right, he would tell you, yeah,
- 16:12Speaker 1: pay one twenty one one wink in the chat.
- 16:17Speaker 5: Okay, ax Ray if you can find the AC live
- 16:20Speaker 5: chat that's on the side.
- 16:23Speaker 1: He doesn't know how to do, doesn't he's still but
- 16:29Speaker 1: he has this converted to Morris code, which he then code.
- 16:36Speaker 1: Let's let's start before we go away from Portland. What
- 16:39Speaker 1: do you guys thinking about it?
- 16:39Speaker 5: Starting in May? So delayed from April? We had seen
- 16:43Speaker 5: April previously. What about going to May as the start?
- 16:48Speaker 1: Yeah? Nay? Are you kidding me? X ray? That's fine? Right?
- 16:55Speaker 1: What do you all want? Have you not been listening
- 16:58Speaker 1: to anything that's going on here? Not indenties, old prices?
- 17:06Speaker 1: What are you? What are we up to now? Thanks? Right?
- 17:08Speaker 1: What's inflation? I mean there is sorry cast I will
- 17:14Speaker 1: not allow us to back. There is such a thing
- 17:17Speaker 1: as hopefully right here you walk. So I've been looking
- 17:20Speaker 1: so speaking of Portland, I've been looking at bars no
- 17:24Speaker 1: Guardian Games to directions. Yeah, so keep going bars, customer pricing.
- 17:34Speaker 1: My goodness, you guys.
- 17:36Speaker 5: Regular d Drazz is actually talking about important things keyboards
- 17:41Speaker 5: and drums.
- 17:43Speaker 1: So both of these go. Well.
- 17:45Speaker 5: And what did you find in Portland by the game
- 17:48Speaker 5: store Guardian Games?
- 17:49Speaker 1: Yeah, this place called the Rum Club, which looks pretty cool.
- 17:52Speaker 1: You know, I'm a big fan of rum, so that
- 17:54Speaker 1: looks good. A few blocks from that there's a place
- 17:58Speaker 1: called Scotch. Why they have Scotch and it's supposed to
- 18:03Speaker 1: be good. Uh. And then a couple of blocks from that,
- 18:07Speaker 1: there's a place called the Hey Love. Why do I
- 18:12Speaker 1: have this? Actually this I don't know. I guess this
- 18:16Speaker 1: looked good. He Love Hey Love. This must have come
- 18:23Speaker 1: up in some article. Actually it looks Okay, we'll have
- 18:26Speaker 1: the pictures here, but maybe I'll take x Ray here
- 18:30Speaker 1: if he if he comes, you know, ex n I
- 18:33Speaker 1: can I can share a moment there? What do you
- 18:35Speaker 1: think if he is, he's always coming right now? Not here, sweirt,
- 18:42Speaker 1: I mean, you know that's all out of the park there.
- 18:48Speaker 1: So a bunch of bunch of stuff close by, and
- 18:51Speaker 1: then I definitely at some point I want to go
- 18:54Speaker 1: to I don't know if I'm pronouncing this right, Hail Pele,
- 18:59Speaker 1: which is a tiki bar. It's not super close, but
- 19:03Speaker 1: it loves in the city. I do love a teaky bar,
- 19:07Speaker 1: and it looks real cool. There is a private room
- 19:11Speaker 1: you can book, oh boy, and I don't know, maybe
- 19:17Speaker 1: I should. You can't book it yet, no further out
- 19:21Speaker 1: than like two weeks in advance, but I'm definitely not
- 19:25Speaker 1: leaving till Monday morning, just based on the flights, So
- 19:28Speaker 1: I don't know. Maybe I'm thinking about maybe trying to
- 19:31Speaker 1: buck it for Sunday night, but according to their booking thing,
- 19:38Speaker 1: they are very particular on not going over the number
- 19:42Speaker 1: of people, so I don't know. We'll say I'm thinking
- 19:45Speaker 1: about it. Maybe if folks are interested, they can reach
- 19:47Speaker 1: out to me, and then I'll have too many people
- 19:49Speaker 1: reaching out to me, and then I won't know what
- 19:50Speaker 1: to do, and then I'll feel bad about offering because
- 19:53Speaker 1: I'll notice certain people. But it'll be fun there you go.
- 19:56Speaker 1: Maybe we'll do it.
- 19:59Speaker 5: As someone once said, wait to sell that old beer
- 20:03Speaker 5: doing great man.
- 20:04Speaker 1: Yeah, book the chieftain's hut. Uh. It's like a small
- 20:08Speaker 1: private booth book for parties to eight to twelve, sounds me.
- 20:17Speaker 5: This, unfortunately, Boys, is not in the cards for me,
- 20:21Speaker 5: being school year and.
- 20:24Speaker 1: All the way on the west side of the country.
- 20:28Speaker 1: But I'm jealous of anyone who gets to go, so
- 20:30Speaker 1: have funs. Sheep will say he's not going, but we'll
- 20:33Speaker 1: end up there. I don't wear Cortland. Yeah. Now, I've
- 20:40Speaker 1: already scheduled that like seventeen of my ten PTO days
- 20:45Speaker 1: for this year. So that's that's seventeen of ten.
- 20:50Speaker 5: So my questions, let's let's let's refocus boys on this.
- 20:54Speaker 5: What about starting essentially a couple of weeks later into May,
- 20:58Speaker 5: or potentially a full month later from instead of April
- 21:02Speaker 5: the first weekend in April to the second weekend or
- 21:04Speaker 5: third weekend in May.
- 21:05Speaker 1: Well, with how late they're being announced, that's appropriate.
- 21:09Speaker 5: I agree, So I think that it at leaves gives
- 21:13Speaker 5: a chance for people to attend. So yes, I think
- 21:16Speaker 5: with how late it was, this was a much better
- 21:19Speaker 5: choice than trying to jam something in April. Still very late,
- 21:23Speaker 5: but it's doable at.
- 21:24Speaker 1: Least alrighty, So my excited one June fifth and seventh
- 21:30Speaker 1: at Saint Louis, Missouri had Yetti games for those of
- 21:34Speaker 1: you who are here from the olden times when dinosaurs
- 21:38Speaker 1: still roam the earth and the world didn't shut down
- 21:43Speaker 1: YETI used to run Well, they didn't start out that way,
- 21:47Speaker 1: but YETI did start taking over FFG's vault tours back
- 21:51Speaker 1: of the day. So I'm actually kind of looking forward
- 21:54Speaker 1: to this one. I've kept in kind of in touch
- 21:58Speaker 1: with then. It's not as much but a little bit.
- 22:00Speaker 1: You know, we we chat every now and again, you know,
- 22:04Speaker 1: so that's what's really going on. I said, you gotta shared, dudes,
- 22:09Speaker 1: that's what's really good. A little bit, a little bit,
- 22:12Speaker 1: but him and his wife are good people. So I'm
- 22:16Speaker 1: actually I'm kind of I'm looking forward to that one
- 22:19Speaker 1: to kind of go see old KeyForge people's old KeyForge friends. Yeah,
- 22:29Speaker 1: so some some Yeah, I'm I mean, it's the one
- 22:32Speaker 1: I'm most likely to get to this year. Some interesting
- 22:35Speaker 1: tidbits I I have heard about that one is apparently
- 22:39Speaker 1: Getty just listed all of their old o P Prize
- 22:43Speaker 1: support on eBay just last week. Seems weird. I thought
- 22:51Speaker 1: I've seen stuff from them before. Well, apparently they just
- 22:54Speaker 1: put a bunch more up. According to my just like
- 22:56Speaker 1: stuff from the prize one that. Yeah, I like stuff
- 22:59Speaker 1: from the wall and early prize kits, so I mean,
- 23:03Speaker 1: nothing super crazy, but apparently a bunch of the Vault
- 23:06Speaker 1: Tour mats are up. I've not got to vaults from
- 23:11Speaker 1: them before. Yeah, well apparently a bunch more went up.
- 23:15Speaker 1: And then uh and then then another guy who was
- 23:19Speaker 1: local to the area was wondering why. He said, there's
- 23:21Speaker 1: another store in the area that's like twenty minutes out
- 23:25Speaker 1: of town that's bigger and actually runs key Forge. Yeah,
- 23:29Speaker 1: you know, I pointed out. I was like, well, do
- 23:33Speaker 1: they have a hotel, are they accessible with an airport?
- 23:36Speaker 1: All these things that a Vault tour kind of needs,
- 23:38Speaker 1: And he's like yeah yeah. And I'm like, well, then
- 23:40Speaker 1: you got to get it in front of Josh, because like,
- 23:43Speaker 1: it's it's a very hard thing to google one hundred
- 23:47Speaker 1: players store, right that that isn't that isn't something Google
- 23:52Speaker 1: and their store their keyword to search for. So when
- 23:54Speaker 1: you try to search for store size is it's it
- 23:57Speaker 1: is not obvious, so it's hard to know how big
- 23:59Speaker 1: store are often without some amount of work. So if
- 24:07Speaker 1: you have a store that has all those things that
- 24:10Speaker 1: is can can hold well, I mean we see that
- 24:14Speaker 1: Portland's at sixty four, soum I said eighty. It was like,
- 24:19Speaker 1: if you can hold eighty, your store is willing to
- 24:23Speaker 1: run Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Airport transit is reasonable, which means
- 24:29Speaker 1: it's not a ridiculous tiny regional airport. Right that there
- 24:35Speaker 1: is a hotel in non car driving distance to the
- 24:39Speaker 1: event center is ideal. Right, Well, don't want everybody to
- 24:44Speaker 1: have to rent cars. That's kind of one of their
- 24:46Speaker 1: goals always, and they're willing to tolerate three days of
- 24:48Speaker 1: key forgers taking up all of their space and not
- 24:51Speaker 1: letting them really do a lot of other stuff because
- 24:54Speaker 1: we kind of do take over the store depending on
- 24:56Speaker 1: the size, unless it's huge, like the one in Baltimore
- 25:00Speaker 1: is so big. We're in there and we're maybe not
- 25:03Speaker 1: even the biggest event while we're there's going on all
- 25:07Speaker 1: over the place. Yeah whatever. Yeah, So you know, if
- 25:11Speaker 1: you have all those things, support at ghost galaxy dot
- 25:14Speaker 1: com is where you have to send that, but they
- 25:17Speaker 1: will look at places we don't because we've been through
- 25:22Speaker 1: this process a little bit. We didn't succeed in landing
- 25:24Speaker 1: one by our locale, but our hotel choice was pretty awful.
- 25:30Speaker 1: So I don't know what all the rules that played
- 25:32Speaker 1: into ours not making it, but they will. They will
- 25:36Speaker 1: definitely communicate with stores and see if they're interested. Next
- 25:43Speaker 1: one after that we'll be all time. All right, So
- 25:48Speaker 1: you're going cheap, you're going dras. Are you going to
- 25:55Speaker 1: Saint Louis?
- 25:56Speaker 4: So?
- 25:59Speaker 1: Uh, if you asked me when the article first dropped,
- 26:03Speaker 1: I would I would say very likely, because I would
- 26:10Speaker 1: like to go to Saint Louis. It's with it's a
- 26:13Speaker 1: long drive, but it's theoretically in driving distance. But uh,
- 26:18Speaker 1: you know, I mentioned my wife that, you know, the
- 26:21Speaker 1: vaults were out, and she's like, where are they? And
- 26:23Speaker 1: I said Saint Louis and she's like, you know, I
- 26:25Speaker 1: want to go to Saint Louis. So she was she
- 26:30Speaker 1: was like, we could make it into a road trip,
- 26:33Speaker 1: which she's all about. So that immediately put it in
- 26:38Speaker 1: the I you know, this is like probably happening category. However,
- 26:47Speaker 1: I found out just just today in work that my
- 26:54Speaker 1: trip that I'm supposed to be taking to India in
- 26:58Speaker 1: April has been delayed until June. At this exact time,
- 27:06Speaker 1: now I was like, Hey, can we like not do that?
- 27:09Speaker 1: Can we keep April? I don't. I don't think that
- 27:16Speaker 1: is going to happen. So I think I went from
- 27:21Speaker 1: this is looking real good to not so great, which
- 27:27Speaker 1: is unfortunate because I would really like to go because
- 27:31Speaker 1: it sounds like it sounds like you guys are thinking
- 27:33Speaker 1: about going that, right, we definitely are. Yeah, I already
- 27:40Speaker 1: checked out Yetti.
- 27:42Speaker 5: I mean yeah. So there's a couple of different pieces
- 27:46Speaker 5: fitting in for me. This is replacing Roseville, So some
- 27:49Speaker 5: thoughts there, but it really comes down to the weekend.
- 27:53Speaker 5: That week happens to be the week right before school
- 27:58Speaker 5: let's out for me. So the last two weeks of school,
- 28:03Speaker 5: those days are completely off the book that they cannot
- 28:06Speaker 5: be taken off without special permission, not even from my
- 28:09Speaker 5: own admin. But I have to go all the way
- 28:11Speaker 5: up to hr director. So here's my twenty first spot.
- 28:15Speaker 5: I just have a quick little thing to say for
- 28:22Speaker 5: I don't know what just happens a right, and.
- 28:25Speaker 1: Did you so? Didn't you just have an aneurysm? I
- 28:30Speaker 1: think so. So that's my local. But we're going to
- 28:35Speaker 1: see what I can do.
- 28:37Speaker 5: I've put in well, I started the email to my
- 28:40Speaker 5: HR director. I did talk with my direct boss and
- 28:42Speaker 5: it's completely out of my control. So that is where
- 28:46Speaker 5: we are at with potentially Saint Louis. I think it'd
- 28:50Speaker 5: be a great look.
- 28:50Speaker 1: This is but this is right on the cusp for you,
- 28:53Speaker 1: right right at the end of the school here right,
- 28:55Speaker 1: It's like it's perfectly awkward, right.
- 29:00Speaker 5: I feel that there's agitation that's trying to brew back up,
- 29:04Speaker 5: but good baiting.
- 29:07Speaker 1: I just yeah, maybe I was. I don't know.
- 29:13Speaker 5: Actually, the time that we're looking at for Portland being
- 29:16Speaker 5: the fifteenth through the seventeenth, that is the last weekend
- 29:20Speaker 5: to be able to take off. So anything after that
- 29:23Speaker 5: point I cannot take off without special Yeah, that's just
- 29:27Speaker 5: how they block it off. But that we finish the Wednesday,
- 29:31Speaker 5: it's a half day on that Wednesday the week after,
- 29:34Speaker 5: so there's just a lot difficult.
- 29:37Speaker 1: We'll see what comes of it.
- 29:38Speaker 5: But if I can, it is going to be me
- 29:41Speaker 5: taking off on Friday, if they'll give that day and
- 29:44Speaker 5: I'll try and book it out after work. I think, sheep,
- 29:47Speaker 5: you and I have to kind of do something similar,
- 29:49Speaker 5: and so we're going to drive and maybe we'll make
- 29:51Speaker 5: it there by midnight.
- 29:52Speaker 1: And that's what it'll be.
- 29:54Speaker 5: But we'll do it for KeyForge, right, so it'll be great.
- 29:58Speaker 1: Do it for the for the forge, for the forge.
- 30:04Speaker 1: Should we keep going? Yeah, I was gonna keep going
- 30:07Speaker 1: July tenth through the twelfth as Baltimore. What do you
- 30:09Speaker 1: think because this did replace basically it's replaced Minneapolis. What
- 30:17Speaker 1: do you guys think about that?
- 30:20Speaker 5: I mean, I had it later on to talk about,
- 30:22Speaker 5: but I'm totally cool. I think that Roosevelt just simply
- 30:26Speaker 5: didn't have the population in order to sustain the vaults.
- 30:31Speaker 5: While it is at it's in the backyard of GIGI
- 30:35Speaker 5: employees can kind of be there. The actual cost is
- 30:39Speaker 5: minimized by connections. The short answer is that the numbers
- 30:43Speaker 5: were extremely low the last two years, and that's a problem.
- 30:46Speaker 5: If you don't have a tendance for a vaults, you
- 30:48Speaker 5: don't have a tenance for a vault, and so you
- 30:50Speaker 5: can't keep pushing it. That's what I see. So I
- 30:56Speaker 5: think that hopefully it'll draw in some more people. I
- 31:01Speaker 5: don't know if Saint Louis will do that, but I
- 31:03Speaker 5: guess we'll find out. But it wasn't happening in Roseville.
- 31:06Speaker 1: I can say that a right where are we going
- 31:12Speaker 1: to next? We are going after that? It'll be July
- 31:14Speaker 1: tenth through the twelfth and Bald.
- 31:17Speaker 5: Nobody, Nobody, nobody else cares about Rose. What else this happened?
- 31:20Speaker 1: You guys? I mean I so, I do think I
- 31:24Speaker 1: think you're right. I was very torn about this because
- 31:29Speaker 1: it is like, in one sense, I was like, well,
- 31:32Speaker 1: it should be super cheap for them to put on.
- 31:35Speaker 1: But at the same time, right, they're you know, they're
- 31:38Speaker 1: making you know, folks work through the weekend for this
- 31:42Speaker 1: event that doesn't have very many folks, So it probably
- 31:46Speaker 1: makes sense to try it in a different location so that,
- 31:52Speaker 1: you know, you could try to make it happen, right,
- 31:53Speaker 1: You could try to make it hit big, and you know,
- 31:58Speaker 1: if if it does work it and they get a
- 32:00Speaker 1: decent amount of folks, that could be a good location
- 32:03Speaker 1: going forward. So even though in some ways it feels weird,
- 32:07Speaker 1: I think, I think I get it.
- 32:10Speaker 5: I think it's important for the keyboard community to be
- 32:12Speaker 5: able to see the GG staff, which can potentially pop
- 32:15Speaker 5: over on Friday or even the weekend and see a
- 32:18Speaker 5: ton of that. But it had more of an option.
- 32:22Speaker 5: You see that more at KFSC. So I just think
- 32:24Speaker 5: the two experiences KFC and a vault. It's way too
- 32:28Speaker 5: much for the amount of people that's pulling in from
- 32:31Speaker 5: the locals and from rom us. Like we used to
- 32:34Speaker 5: have people that were there were a couple of different
- 32:38Speaker 5: sections of individuals who would drive in to that vault,
- 32:42Speaker 5: and that number has decreased. The short answer is our
- 32:45Speaker 5: vaults have decreased in size, and if it's not pulling
- 32:49Speaker 5: the numbers, is not pulling the numbers. I mean, if
- 32:53Speaker 5: we look Chicago, individuals that were playing keyboards really has decreased.
- 32:59Speaker 5: The people that were in in has really decreased. Even
- 33:02Speaker 5: our Milwaukee, you know we pre pandemic, we had ten
- 33:08Speaker 5: that were easily going ahead and meeting. If you look
- 33:11Speaker 5: at some of the different primes that are there, Chicago
- 33:14Speaker 5: just it's it's not there. So if those store fronts,
- 33:21Speaker 5: if there's no local game scene, how are how are
- 33:26Speaker 5: you finding out about the vaults and how can we
- 33:29Speaker 5: you know, how are we drawing any new players in.
- 33:31Speaker 5: It's it's just going to be the same repeat individuals
- 33:34Speaker 5: who have been around for the game. And that's what
- 33:35Speaker 5: we see. There is a couple individuals who are new,
- 33:38Speaker 5: but we have to do something to research, so maybe
- 33:42Speaker 5: that is trying a new location. My concern, DRez is
- 33:46Speaker 5: that going to Saint Louis. I think Saint Louis is awesome.
- 33:49Speaker 5: Yet he has connection from back in f FG days.
- 33:52Speaker 5: But you're gonna have to bring in f You're gonna
- 33:54Speaker 5: have to bring in GG employees. So you got travel,
- 33:56Speaker 5: you have then the hotel stay and I know for
- 33:59Speaker 5: our own trip, that's what it comes down to. His food, hotels, stay,
- 34:02Speaker 5: and the actual cost for whether that's a flight or drive.
- 34:07Speaker 5: So those are additional costs plus then the store whatever
- 34:10Speaker 5: they have worked out. But if they can actually have
- 34:14Speaker 5: a game group, that's awesome. I see stores that have
- 34:18Speaker 5: been successful. We'll talk about glenn Burnie that's coming up Portland.
- 34:23Speaker 5: Glen Burnie has a great key Forge community group that's there.
- 34:29Speaker 5: It scares me, sheep, when you go ahead and talk
- 34:30Speaker 5: about Saint Louis when they're like, well, they don't even
- 34:33Speaker 5: carry key Forge and they don't have a community, like
- 34:38Speaker 5: you have to have your locals who are going to
- 34:39Speaker 5: be showing up or people from the driving area. I
- 34:42Speaker 5: still believe that, and that's that's scary to me. So
- 34:44Speaker 5: we'll see.
- 34:48Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, I guess if if you know some
- 34:54Speaker 1: one person I forget their name, who was chatting on
- 34:56Speaker 1: the discord saying, hey, there are other stores in Saint
- 35:00Speaker 1: us that have players, then you'd hope those those folks
- 35:05Speaker 1: would make it out. You know. Maybe to Sheep's point,
- 35:09Speaker 1: maybe either Gig didn't know about those other stores or
- 35:13Speaker 1: just you know, it didn't work out, you know, or
- 35:17Speaker 1: CTV just knows the Yettie Games guy and who's like, hey,
- 35:21Speaker 1: do you want to do a game convention there? He's like, Okay,
- 35:24Speaker 1: we'll do it. Who knows. I feel like just knowing
- 35:28Speaker 1: a guy this half the reason stuff happened. So who knows?
- 35:34Speaker 5: What about Since we're on this topic, what about Rochester
- 35:37Speaker 5: not being there over in New York.
- 35:40Speaker 1: That was a surprise to me. That is wild to
- 35:43Speaker 1: me because Rochester normally it really is why of the
- 35:47Speaker 1: higher attendances right like glen Burnie.
- 35:51Speaker 5: I mean, Rochester had been attendance, but glen Burnie was
- 35:54Speaker 5: definitely the highest. You just you have a larger population
- 35:57Speaker 5: on the East Coast, and it's it's focused that you
- 36:00Speaker 5: have multiple areas that can essentially drive in. So it's
- 36:04Speaker 5: been well attendant in the past, but there had to
- 36:06Speaker 5: have been a reason why it was just eliminated, whether
- 36:08Speaker 5: that was the store, whether there's GG or a combination
- 36:10Speaker 5: of both. But some of the East Coast players I
- 36:14Speaker 5: know have been frustrated about it, which is a bummer.
- 36:18Speaker 1: Yeah, there's there's definitely a bunch of folks over there
- 36:20Speaker 1: who yeah, seem upset. Yeah you got Jupiter, who's in again,
- 36:28Speaker 1: out again? Stupid is like, ah, there's no event, I'm
- 36:30Speaker 1: selling my stuff. But I don't know. I like, Jupiter
- 36:33Speaker 1: is my buddy, but I feel like he does do
- 36:35Speaker 1: this all the time, So call them about a little
- 36:37Speaker 1: bit every months. But we love them. But yeah, yeah
- 36:43Speaker 1: I did, I did. Jupiter is my buddy, but come on, dude,
- 36:47Speaker 1: how many times?
- 36:48Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 36:53Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I was shocked. I was. I actually kind
- 37:01Speaker 1: of figured that would have been the fifth one, but
- 37:03Speaker 1: maybe there just wasn't time. Yeah, it would be my assumption,
- 37:07Speaker 1: and it just didn't work out with dates, or maybe
- 37:09Speaker 1: that star wasn't receiving the Maybe they weren't receiving what
- 37:14Speaker 1: they thought they should be getting. You know what I mean.
- 37:17Speaker 1: I can't tell you because I don't know. Yeah, I mean,
- 37:22Speaker 1: attendance was lower last year because you know, they didn't
- 37:28Speaker 1: get Canadians last year, right, because you know, non keyboards reasons,
- 37:33Speaker 1: so I don't think anybody is getting Canadians anytime that yeah, yeah,
- 37:40Speaker 1: so that that is, that's impactful. But I thought, I
- 37:47Speaker 1: don't remember what attendance was, but it seemed to still
- 37:50Speaker 1: be decently good and there's definitely a local contingent that
- 37:55Speaker 1: that came out. So oh so we'll say, we'll see
- 38:03Speaker 1: it's unfortunately went down with four. Yeah. Well, I don't
- 38:06Speaker 1: know why we're going down before if only there was
- 38:08Speaker 1: somebody of the chat that can maybe shed some light
- 38:11Speaker 1: on it. I know what they said in here, I
- 38:15Speaker 1: don't know.
- 38:15Speaker 5: So your numbers because we do have a spot to
- 38:18Speaker 5: be able to check this, so again thank you Arkan Arkana.
- 38:21Speaker 5: But there were forty five sealed players for Rochester in
- 38:23Speaker 5: twenty twenty five, thirty two ARCon and ten Alliance, so
- 38:28Speaker 5: that is your numbers. But forty five sealed is still
- 38:31Speaker 5: pretty solid in comparison to Roseville, which had again I
- 38:35Speaker 5: loved it it was local, but twenty one for Sealed,
- 38:37Speaker 5: twenty four for Arkon, eleven for Alliance.
- 38:44Speaker 1: And then looking like October second through the fourth will
- 38:48Speaker 1: be Nashville, Tennessee at the Tennessee Game Days partner No no,
- 38:55Speaker 1: I talked, we talk Wow. Okay, never mind July tenth
- 38:57Speaker 1: through the twelfth in Baltimore. I guess I kind of
- 39:01Speaker 1: did skip that one. Yep. It's literally happening at the
- 39:05Speaker 1: same time as it did last year. Thank you to
- 39:09Speaker 1: all those who's saying Happy Birthday to my daughter last year,
- 39:12Speaker 1: which again this will be on her birthday. Thanks for that. Hmmm,
- 39:19Speaker 1: it's gonna be there so uh so that we can
- 39:22Speaker 1: do this this thing again. It's just because now now
- 39:26Speaker 1: it's just uh now it's just uh standard, like this
- 39:30Speaker 1: is just what happens now. The thing's just maybe we
- 39:33Speaker 1: could do it in one take this time. Oh yeah,
- 39:35Speaker 1: because last time Josh forgot to turn on the microphone,
- 39:38Speaker 1: so nobody heard anything. The first time it was Josh forgot,
- 39:42Speaker 1: is your daughter? Well he was the one. He was
- 39:45Speaker 1: manning the uh he was manning the station, so it
- 39:49Speaker 1: was his I'm guessing it's his computer, his setup. And
- 39:53Speaker 1: then like we did it. We did the whole thing,
- 39:55Speaker 1: and then he came back to me, was like, we
- 39:56Speaker 1: got to do it again. The value was not so
- 40:04Speaker 1: and then yeah, October second through the fourth will be Nashville, Tennessee,
- 40:13Speaker 1: or so, are you guys coming to Baltimore? I mean,
- 40:17Speaker 1: I'm definitely going. Are you guys coming probably? Nope, no,
- 40:24Speaker 1: M I can't make any promises. It depends. I'm looking
- 40:28Speaker 1: at trains at the current time. I'll give you a solid.
- 40:34Speaker 1: Maybe I didn't ask. The two I asked off for
- 40:38Speaker 1: was Saint Louis and Nashville. Nashville will be October second. Yeah,
- 40:45Speaker 1: Tennessee Game Days in partnership with the Game Point Cafe. Ewok,
- 40:50Speaker 1: you had found out or pointed out some awesome information
- 40:53Speaker 1: about this, so we might want to point that out
- 40:57Speaker 1: to everybody listening who wants to go to the nash
- 41:00Speaker 1: Field Days.
- 41:01Speaker 5: Yeah, if you are planning and going to Nashville or Franklin, Tennessee,
- 41:05Speaker 5: this is not in a game store. It's going to
- 41:10Speaker 5: be actually with the Tennessee Games Days, So that is
- 41:13Speaker 5: an actual game convention Tennessee Game Days, which.
- 41:19Speaker 1: Is an interesting choice.
- 41:20Speaker 5: We've been going more and more with actual game stores,
- 41:24Speaker 5: so this kind of crosses. But it is in partnership
- 41:27Speaker 5: with a game store, which is Game Point Cafe. So
- 41:30Speaker 5: Gamepoint Cafe is going to be running it. But just
- 41:32Speaker 5: be aware that's not on the actual news page. Sheep,
- 41:36Speaker 5: you found this. It is attached on the vault to
- 41:39Speaker 5: whur if you go scroll all the way down to
- 41:41Speaker 5: Ticketing and Information page. It is then in the ticketing
- 41:45Speaker 5: and Information page when you go ahead and click and
- 41:48Speaker 5: you can actually see the sign up for registration. So
- 41:51Speaker 5: it is one hundred dollars to be able to go
- 41:53Speaker 5: to Tennessee Games Day. Sorry, it's one hundred dollars for
- 41:55Speaker 5: the vault, and then it's it is separate. So if
- 41:58Speaker 5: you don't want to do Tennessee Games at just one
- 42:00Speaker 5: hundred dollars for your vaults standard, which is what everything
- 42:03Speaker 5: else has been. If you want to go ahead and
- 42:05Speaker 5: say hey I love board games too and I want
- 42:07Speaker 5: to play outside of the vault, for an extra ten dollars,
- 42:10Speaker 5: you can go ahead and so one hundred and ten
- 42:12Speaker 5: total you can do the whole vault, and then.
- 42:14Speaker 1: Ten dollars gets you access to the actual game convention,
- 42:17Speaker 1: which is a great deal.
- 42:20Speaker 5: But if you guys remember back in the old FFG
- 42:23Speaker 5: days Adepticon which mister Helmkey or Steve is seriously looking
- 42:28Speaker 5: Wookie to see if you're going to be going this
- 42:30Speaker 5: year or not.
- 42:31Speaker 1: But that I was requested off for Adepticon, which you're
- 42:35Speaker 1: gonna have to let him know. Yeah, I let him know.
- 42:37Speaker 1: Adepticon's on some weird ass days and it starts on
- 42:39Speaker 1: like a Wednesday, like it's so weird, like it goes
- 42:43Speaker 1: it's like five days of miniature gaming. I might go,
- 42:47Speaker 1: I might go to adept Deacon play some stompy robots,
- 42:49Speaker 1: you know, a little grinder. Yeah, but Adeptagon was a location.
- 42:55Speaker 5: It was originally then Keyboards was part of it, and
- 42:57Speaker 5: they moved separate, but you paid for your ticket to
- 43:00Speaker 5: the con and then you had to go ahead and
- 43:02Speaker 5: pay for the vault separate.
- 43:03Speaker 1: So that was old FFG is still a real struggle.
- 43:06Speaker 5: So I do like that Gig worked it out that hey,
- 43:09Speaker 5: you can do it separate with the con, or you
- 43:11Speaker 5: can go ahead and spend ten dollars, which goodness, ten dollars.
- 43:15Speaker 5: I don't even know if you can get a sandwich
- 43:16Speaker 5: four anymore at that cost, So why not just give
- 43:19Speaker 5: it and go ahead?
- 43:20Speaker 1: I mean mine as well, and then you can play
- 43:21Speaker 1: board games too. Dazz Are you are you going to?
- 43:25Speaker 1: You said Tennessee may or may not be in for you. Well,
- 43:31Speaker 1: so I'm pretty sure I'm doing it. So I was
- 43:35Speaker 1: mentioning to these guys right before the cast that weirdly,
- 43:39Speaker 1: I had urry tentatively planned to be in Tennessee during
- 43:45Speaker 1: this time, so I hadn't booked specific things yet. So theory,
- 43:52Speaker 1: I could just rearrange my plans a little bit and
- 43:56Speaker 1: attend this, which, in theory, you and I could say
- 43:59Speaker 1: we're going to play key for scrub Out and then
- 44:03Speaker 1: just go play a bunch of board games. Yeah wow,
- 44:08Speaker 1: or just do both. I don't play some board games,
- 44:12Speaker 1: both do some both. I like the way you think.
- 44:16Speaker 5: No, I'm I know this is not part of a
- 44:19Speaker 5: game store, but is in partnership. I'm perfectly fine with
- 44:22Speaker 5: that deal. I don't know if it bothers anyone else here,
- 44:25Speaker 5: but I think it has the flexibility and will offer
- 44:29Speaker 5: plenty of open space to be able to play, which
- 44:31Speaker 5: should be nice.
- 44:32Speaker 1: Well, I'm looking at this right. Never mind, it's at
- 44:38Speaker 1: a conference center. I was like, is it just at
- 44:40Speaker 1: a thing? And then I found outside a conference center.
- 44:42Speaker 1: I was like, that's just like, I mean, it doesn't
- 44:44Speaker 1: look like I guess I don't know. I guess we're
- 44:48Speaker 1: gonna have to go my my old man, my mom's
- 44:52Speaker 1: ex husband, guy who had a hand in raising me,
- 44:59Speaker 1: lives into kant and then tried to convince me that
- 45:03Speaker 1: an hour driving each way is definitely feasible and it's
- 45:07Speaker 1: not a big deal. But uh, I was like, yeah,
- 45:11Speaker 1: I don't know, you two hours every day driving two
- 45:14Speaker 1: hours every day. He's like, it's not that bad, and
- 45:16Speaker 1: I was like, not that bad.
- 45:20Speaker 5: I will say, out of the locations that we've seen
- 45:23Speaker 5: so far with Portland, Saint Louis, Baltimore, and Nashville, Nashville
- 45:26Speaker 5: is actually one of the easier airports to get into.
- 45:29Speaker 5: Now Franklin's further out, but it's still not that bad.
- 45:33Speaker 5: Portland seems to be a pain to be able to
- 45:36Speaker 5: get into and out of. Saint Louis is not super easy,
- 45:40Speaker 5: so it's an interesting choice with some of the locations.
- 45:43Speaker 5: Baltimore is pretty easy to be able to get into.
- 45:45Speaker 5: I don't have issues there. But if we look at
- 45:50Speaker 5: Rochester and Roseville, was were I mean Rochester didn't have
- 45:55Speaker 5: it was okay, Roseville was I don't know, dres you
- 45:59Speaker 5: had to fly in and there's an airport, but it
- 46:01Speaker 5: was not going to be my first choice.
- 46:04Speaker 1: But I think Nashville's got some good barbecue. It's got
- 46:07Speaker 1: some good location.
- 46:08Speaker 5: October second through the fourth, we're back in school, so
- 46:11Speaker 5: I got to be able to check again. That's with hr.
- 46:15Speaker 5: We're in the start of the school year. I should
- 46:16Speaker 5: be past the point where I can just put in
- 46:18Speaker 5: for it being off. But we'll have to see what's
- 46:20Speaker 5: in the budget for that one. This actually is not
- 46:23Speaker 5: out of the drive distance. So this this surprised me
- 46:28Speaker 5: a little bit.
- 46:29Speaker 1: Is that like nine hours right for us? Yeah? So,
- 46:32Speaker 1: I mean, so we look at Saint Louis.
- 46:34Speaker 5: Saint Louis is six hours six and a half versus
- 46:37Speaker 5: five and a half up to Roseville, but Nashville or
- 46:41Speaker 5: Franklin really puts it at nine hour, which is not
- 46:44Speaker 5: undrivable by any means. So maybe that's a road trip happening.
- 46:50Speaker 5: But what do you guys think about It's like the
- 46:53Speaker 5: close proximity between Saint Louis and Nashville, Like they're not
- 46:57Speaker 5: that far apart, and both of them fall more in
- 47:01Speaker 5: the Midwest, I mean Nashville you get a little bit
- 47:03Speaker 5: of the southeast.
- 47:04Speaker 1: But it was it was an.
- 47:06Speaker 5: Odd choice with both of those there open it up there,
- 47:11Speaker 5: it is not far.
- 47:12Speaker 1: So I did it.
- 47:12Speaker 5: I did a little map request to be able to
- 47:15Speaker 5: see from one to another.
- 47:20Speaker 4: Saint Louis to Nashville, Tennessee, by car four and a
- 47:27Speaker 4: half hours.
- 47:31Speaker 1: Between them between them. Yeah, and that's what surprised me.
- 47:36Speaker 5: So seeing that one we didn't have either location earlier,
- 47:40Speaker 5: and now all of a sudden, both of them are
- 47:41Speaker 5: there in kind of close proximity.
- 47:43Speaker 1: I just I found that was weird and odd. But
- 47:48Speaker 1: it is what it is. It's well, it's it's you
- 47:51Speaker 1: know again, people might be upset about Rochester. You don't
- 47:55Speaker 1: know if that store was like, yeah, I want to
- 47:57Speaker 1: dedicate an entire weekend of mine to hosting this tournament.
- 48:01Speaker 1: That's maybe they may or may not be seeing a
- 48:04Speaker 1: return on We don't know, you know, if they're not
- 48:07Speaker 1: seeing a good enough return where they're like, hey, if
- 48:08Speaker 1: we were just open, we'd make more money, that might
- 48:11Speaker 1: have been a deciding factor for Rochester, right and again, Yeah.
- 48:16Speaker 5: And again, it could be the store, It could be
- 48:18Speaker 5: Gg's need. But I think if you're looking at the location,
- 48:21Speaker 5: if we will talk, we decrease from five to four vaults, Okay,
- 48:26Speaker 5: but the location then I think becomes more critical. And
- 48:29Speaker 5: you have one on the West coast, that's where're going
- 48:31Speaker 5: to start, and it's the far northwest, which is really
- 48:35Speaker 5: important to know. You have one on the east coast,
- 48:38Speaker 5: and then you essentially have two that are fairly close together,
- 48:42Speaker 5: which are kind of more central midwes.
- 48:46Speaker 1: It's not really lest but central.
- 48:49Speaker 5: I think in my opinion, the people who got absolutely
- 48:52Speaker 5: hosed is our California friends, like Southwest California, Arizona, all
- 48:56Speaker 5: of that area. That is a tough spot that you're
- 49:00Speaker 5: either flying all the way to the east coast or
- 49:02Speaker 5: in the middle, which doesn't necessarily have airport. It's natural, okay,
- 49:06Speaker 5: and Portland is far far far north there. I just
- 49:09Speaker 5: that's where I really felt bad. And yes, Vegas had
- 49:12Speaker 5: its own issues, but it provided an airport where people
- 49:15Speaker 5: could fly into fairly easily with the reasonable ticket, and
- 49:19Speaker 5: you've lost that. So all those people in Cali, which
- 49:24Speaker 5: we do have a number who actually play regularly from California,
- 49:28Speaker 5: that's who, in my opinion, got really screwed.
- 49:31Speaker 1: But I'll pay that. What was kind of the other
- 49:34Speaker 1: part too, just for all the people getting upset, that
- 49:38Speaker 1: was probably the most expensive vault which one Vegas. Now
- 49:45Speaker 1: it was not. How was that not? Because they were
- 49:49Speaker 1: doing it in a hotel like conference. Yeah, a hotel
- 49:52Speaker 1: that was oh you mean most expensive for them?
- 49:55Speaker 6: Yes, okay, yes it was high cost for Ghost Yeah,
- 50:00Speaker 6: high cost for not for all you plubs, No, for
- 50:04Speaker 6: Ghost Galaxy.
- 50:05Speaker 1: That probably cost them the most. I can hear that
- 50:10Speaker 1: if there was some if there's a comparable game store,
- 50:15Speaker 1: you know, and maybe again we just talked reach if
- 50:19Speaker 1: you have one, you got to reach out to the
- 50:21Speaker 1: man with the plan, because uh Google, I'm you know,
- 50:24Speaker 1: I'm gonna do it right now. Large game store in
- 50:32Speaker 1: radio here, Well, let's just see what it is, large
- 50:37Speaker 1: game store soft. Let's let's see what a while while
- 50:41Speaker 1: while he's there.
- 50:42Speaker 5: So running through the dates, you're looking at middle of May,
- 50:46Speaker 5: thank you for not hitting Mother's Day. That was at
- 50:48Speaker 5: least smart. You always me with June, but for the
- 50:51Speaker 5: most part, that was.
- 50:52Speaker 1: At least smart. There you go, there you go.
- 50:55Speaker 5: So, But but to be honest, I'll be honest, the
- 50:59Speaker 5: rest of June is all completely booked for me. So
- 51:01Speaker 5: if there's only one weekend that's gonna happen, that's it,
- 51:04Speaker 5: and it's because it was way too late, like these dates.
- 51:08Speaker 1: Coming to me.
- 51:09Speaker 5: At this point, I will say that I am thankful
- 51:14Speaker 5: for anyone who's being able to go. We cannot wait
- 51:17Speaker 5: until the middle of February in order to have this,
- 51:21Speaker 5: so it has to be just please put it out
- 51:24Speaker 5: when we go to World's next year.
- 51:28Speaker 1: And we ain't gonna have it. You ain't gonna have
- 51:30Speaker 1: it by World's next year. It's not gonna happen.
- 51:34Speaker 5: Stop asking, But that's your due date, man, Just just
- 51:37Speaker 5: get it done. But then, look, you're in July Baltimore,
- 51:42Speaker 5: and then you go from the middle of July that
- 51:45Speaker 5: there's nothing in August or September. But if you look, okay,
- 51:51Speaker 5: gen Con is there. So gen Con is the end
- 51:53Speaker 5: of July. It's July thirtieth through August second, so maybe
- 51:58Speaker 5: you count gen Con as your August and then there's
- 52:01Speaker 5: nothing in September. It just it was an odd like
- 52:05Speaker 5: open area for essentially the vault season, and then you're
- 52:09Speaker 5: coming back in October. I actually I'm not like with
- 52:15Speaker 5: Worlds coming up in November having a vault that's pretty late.
- 52:21Speaker 5: I mean, it's early October. It matches worth what the
- 52:25Speaker 5: Vegas timeframe was, and so it's kind of that last
- 52:30Speaker 5: chance vault, which I do like. But for me, the
- 52:33Speaker 5: dates seemed odd that all of a sudden we left
- 52:36Speaker 5: from the middle of July and you're just essentially off
- 52:39Speaker 5: again for August and September. You can go to we
- 52:46Speaker 5: can consider gen Con there at July thirtieth to August second,
- 52:49Speaker 5: but you're really off for two months, which is which
- 52:52Speaker 5: is interesting. I don't know if anyone else saw it,
- 52:54Speaker 5: but they jumped out at me.
- 52:56Speaker 1: So I did do a quick I did ask Google
- 52:59Speaker 1: to find me some large game stores the southwest of
- 53:02Speaker 1: the United States. Did you use AI for that? Well?
- 53:06Speaker 1: I did get it. I did get an AI overview, yes,
- 53:09Speaker 1: because that's how Google works. Now, boy, don't that way.
- 53:14Speaker 1: It's a version of large and a large we need
- 53:17Speaker 1: are very different. It gave me first on was two
- 53:20Speaker 1: signed games and gadgets. That is more. All of their
- 53:23Speaker 1: locations seem to be in malls and they do not
- 53:26Speaker 1: have play space at all. They are large, but not
- 53:29Speaker 1: a large play space. I got Imperial Outpost Games in Glendale, Arizona.
- 53:38Speaker 1: I don't know, what do you need to explain what
- 53:42Speaker 1: southeast is southwest? I should say That's what I meant
- 53:47Speaker 1: to say, But oh you were looking sorry southwest southwest? Yeah, no, no,
- 53:52Speaker 1: it wasn't really the problem. It's I looked at this
- 53:54Speaker 1: Imperial Outpost games. It's not large, like it's it's a
- 53:59Speaker 1: decent side, but you're not cramming eighty people in there.
- 54:03Speaker 1: The one I do know about that probably could host
- 54:06Speaker 1: us as gamers guild, but you'd have to get them
- 54:09Speaker 1: to want to do it. I don't know if he's
- 54:13Speaker 1: one that would do it. Maybe maybe not, you know.
- 54:17Speaker 1: So that's just a few that I've looked up thus far.
- 54:20Speaker 1: A lot of these are in Arizona, But Arizona's pretty
- 54:26Speaker 1: easy to get in and get out of, I think.
- 54:30Speaker 1: But yeah, it's it's it's not it's not it's not
- 54:37Speaker 1: good from just because I kind of gave up after
- 54:40Speaker 1: the last couple. I looked at him like, these places
- 54:42Speaker 1: are not big, so maybe I need to define large
- 54:46Speaker 1: a little bit better. But yeah, it's it's a place space.
- 54:51Speaker 5: Do you guys remember when we went ahead and you
- 54:53Speaker 5: had your home base and then we got the chance
- 54:55Speaker 5: to see which kind of had more backers in the
- 54:58Speaker 5: amount of size.
- 55:01Speaker 1: That really has to be where we're targeting. First.
- 55:04Speaker 5: You have a large player base, you want to be
- 55:07Speaker 5: able to put it there. Can any of these stores
- 55:09Speaker 5: house it. I know that, Gsmar, Yeah, sure, here you are.
- 55:13Speaker 1: You can find that list that's still here. Yeah, so
- 55:16Speaker 1: what was the biggest like again, castles right now, the
- 55:19Speaker 1: castles aren't the biggest fortress? Was that a big one? Again?
- 55:24Speaker 5: I know the GG employees are a smart group. I know,
- 55:27Speaker 5: I'm sure they've already gone through this, But again, if
- 55:30Speaker 5: you're in any of these areas, please reach out to them,
- 55:33Speaker 5: because I.
- 55:35Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 55:36Speaker 5: I think still probably one of the more frustrating components
- 55:40Speaker 5: off of here had to do with the idea of
- 55:45Speaker 5: condensing down to four. It is a sign of our times.
- 55:50Speaker 5: I get that, but we're focusing on our twenty twenty
- 55:53Speaker 5: six US Vault Tour on four powerhouse events are commitment
- 55:57Speaker 5: to the Vault Tour has never been stronger. You say that,
- 56:00Speaker 5: but like, in order to put that clause, you've already
- 56:03Speaker 5: acknowledged that it's not stronger like that to me as
- 56:08Speaker 5: teachers speak of how we try and correct or like, hey,
- 56:12Speaker 5: you know your kids, your kid's doing well here, Uh,
- 56:19Speaker 5: your kid is an a hole and is disrupting my
- 56:23Speaker 5: whole class and always off task. But I will go
- 56:26Speaker 5: ahead and I'll tell you the positive here I'm gonna
- 56:28Speaker 5: be a positive sandwich, and that's what I'm seeing.
- 56:30Speaker 1: Our goal a positive sandwich.
- 56:34Speaker 5: Our goal has always been better events, not just more
- 56:37Speaker 5: of them. We're not having more of them. We're actually
- 56:40Speaker 5: keeping the status quo at five. We're decreasing. So four
- 56:43Speaker 5: is less than five. My second graders, even the four
- 56:47Speaker 5: kres know that. But by concentrating our stops, we're bringing
- 56:50Speaker 5: more players together under one roof. How and why is
- 56:55Speaker 5: that possible? Building bigger crowds, stronger competition, and amplified key
- 57:00Speaker 5: for experience at every location.
- 57:02Speaker 1: I just yeah, I used your your idea of finding somewhere.
- 57:10Speaker 1: Oh no, this is not where I thought it was.
- 57:14Speaker 1: I used your idea to find a place. This is
- 57:16Speaker 1: in California. Game Oh wait, no, hold on games and
- 57:23Speaker 1: the store.
- 57:24Speaker 5: Yeah, the stores all have to be in agreement, and
- 57:27Speaker 5: there's quite a bit of criteria. Again, as we were
- 57:29Speaker 5: trying to get the store, that may be something that
- 57:32Speaker 5: has to be loosened up so we can be successful.
- 57:36Speaker 5: Because I'd much rather have it at a location where
- 57:40Speaker 5: there's a player base and people are more stoked to
- 57:43Speaker 5: be able to play, and the community is there to
- 57:45Speaker 5: back it. I think that that just puts on a
- 57:47Speaker 5: much better event. But that's me.
- 57:51Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 57:52Speaker 5: This this idea for is real sad. It just kind
- 57:57Speaker 5: of shows that decline, especially with what I'm seeing in
- 58:01Speaker 5: the location and the spacing out. It shows that or
- 58:05Speaker 5: it shows some inaptitude, which is another issue that frankly
- 58:09Speaker 5: bothers me.
- 58:09Speaker 1: But I want to.
- 58:11Speaker 5: Believe the positive, because I believe the positive in all
- 58:13Speaker 5: people that they're doing their bust. And you know, there's
- 58:15Speaker 5: a lot of restrictions, whether that's from GIG or from
- 58:19Speaker 5: the game stores themselves, so I can't think of it
- 58:22Speaker 5: as an episude. But it's just a matter of Okay,
- 58:24Speaker 5: what do the stores want.
- 58:26Speaker 1: What does GG need? What is accessible to be able
- 58:28Speaker 1: to be run? A few side notes here because I
- 58:34Speaker 1: closed out my page and had to reopen an international
- 58:36Speaker 1: Vault tours. July third or through the fifth will be
- 58:39Speaker 1: in France. August fourteenth through the sixteenth will be in Vietnam.
- 58:46Speaker 1: We don't have dates for the following though, but we
- 58:49Speaker 1: know they will be run. And yeah, go ahead. You
- 58:52Speaker 1: talk about Ricou's big whatever he is offering, Yeah, go ahead.
- 58:58Speaker 1: So I mentioned to my wife that about, hey, you know,
- 59:06Speaker 1: great Keybords guy, I know, and Vietnam is like, hey,
- 59:10Speaker 1: everybody come or everybody, but you know, folks come to
- 59:13Speaker 1: come to Vietnam, come to my vaultare like, I'll show
- 59:16Speaker 1: you around Vietnam. And then my wife turns around and
- 59:20Speaker 1: tells my kids, Hey, we're going to Vietnam. So to Vietnam, guys. Nice,
- 59:29Speaker 1: I think I'm going to Vietnam and Vietam trip uh
- 59:34Speaker 1: is involved with endless bowls of fuh. I don't know
- 59:38Speaker 1: if we do this, I mean, why wouldn't it be.
- 59:42Speaker 1: I don't know, like I just need somebody to I
- 59:46Speaker 1: need a bell that just every time I ring it,
- 59:49Speaker 1: somebody brings me a bowl of puck. Yeah, that could
- 59:55Speaker 1: be good.
- 59:56Speaker 5: Actually, did you actually see what Riku's all put being in?
- 1:00:00Speaker 5: And for the Priceman, I actually asked my wife, how
- 1:00:02Speaker 5: much do you think this is going to be?
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: So run through?
- 1:00:05Speaker 5: So he's got the Vault tour for the three days,
- 1:00:07Speaker 5: but he's putting in another trip, so you're basically there's
- 1:00:12Speaker 5: another four days, so an extended week. I mean it's
- 1:00:15Speaker 5: seven days. You have a week total, but you have
- 1:00:17Speaker 5: four days in one location and then three for the
- 1:00:19Speaker 5: Vault tour. There's a flight to that other location, and
- 1:00:22Speaker 5: then there's a big giant house that's being purchased and
- 1:00:26Speaker 5: people are able to stay.
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: At pretty amazing.
- 1:00:31Speaker 5: Pretty pretty amazing. Now, now how much? And I asked
- 1:00:35Speaker 5: how much do you think this is? And I also
- 1:00:37Speaker 5: ask good friends too, and amount was much higher than
- 1:00:44Speaker 5: what was there? Sweet sweet sweet deal.
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: DRez, what is this deal?
- 1:00:49Speaker 5: Because honestly, anyone who's connected with this international local you
- 1:00:52Speaker 5: un thinking about it.
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean he is estimating and to be clear,
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: this is for the internal activities, not you getting to Vietnam, right,
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: that will be super expensive, yes, but internal activities. He's
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: estimating five hundred and fifty dollars per person, So that
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: seems pretty good for domestic flight, accommodation, transportation, food, and
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: vault toward ticket, that's like pretty awesome. So I'm I'm
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: like pretty pretty serious. I think I'm pretty serious about
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: going basically because this is this is quite quite the offer. Right,
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: anytime you go somewhere that is quite different from from
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: where you are and what you're used to, having a
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: local guide is like such a big deal.
- 1:01:54Speaker 5: When it cost food, for accommodations, for safety, yeah, do it.
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: Don't talk to my wife see if she wants to
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: go to Vietnam. Yeah, it's like, I'm pretty excited. I
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: am a little bummed.
- 1:02:10Speaker 5: I mean, technically, my daughter's birthday is the day before,
- 1:02:13Speaker 5: in August thirteenth, but I didn't even talk to to
- 1:02:17Speaker 5: Vietnam for a birthday. No, we're not taking a will
- 1:02:22Speaker 5: be fourteen year old to Vietnam.
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: No, wow, No, but why not? I'm taking my kids
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: to Vietnam. You go to Disney every year, your your
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: kids are older, Vietnam, Disney, these things. I mean, my kid,
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: my one kid is fourteen right now, she'll be fifteen,
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: but she'll be fifteen. What do you think happens at
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: Vietnam that you can't take your kids to Vietnam?
- 1:02:46Speaker 5: There's only so much budget money, man, that is getting
- 1:02:50Speaker 5: very expensive.
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: Ok yeah, so it's not you're acting like I can't
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: take my child's Vietnam. How dare if you fly?
- 1:03:00Speaker 5: I know, it's it's a twenty four to twenty six
- 1:03:02Speaker 5: hour flight, Okay, so that's just flight time. And for
- 1:03:06Speaker 5: us from Chicago, it was looking at twelve hundred dollars
- 1:03:09Speaker 5: per ticket.
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: Oh, per ticket, just for that for economy.
- 1:03:13Speaker 5: Yeah, that's for economy, which is not a comfortable seat
- 1:03:16Speaker 5: for that twenty four to twenty six.
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: Right, but you get a pack of nuts. I'm just
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: kidding back at nuts. I mean, all those international flights
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: are there. Don't worry about not allergies. You make it
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: some nuts. Yeah, all right, I think that does it.
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: I think we hit everything from July third.
- 1:03:36Speaker 5: Yeah, July third through fifth is in France, so those
- 1:03:39Speaker 5: dates have been amounts and again, yeah, Vietnam and France awesome.
- 1:03:44Speaker 5: Brazil and China also housing We don't have dates yet,
- 1:03:48Speaker 5: but Brazil actually spoke.
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: Up and I'm trying to think of who that was.
- 1:03:53Speaker 5: In our discord, but there's a really good group and
- 1:03:58Speaker 5: super excited to be able to play a vault down
- 1:04:01Speaker 5: in Brazil. I actually still remember when individuals came up
- 1:04:05Speaker 5: that was that had been two years ago or three
- 1:04:07Speaker 5: years ago for the first World Championship, and it was
- 1:04:12Speaker 5: just great to see people from around the world. But
- 1:04:14Speaker 5: I still remember different individuals from Brazil. So great, all right,
- 1:04:20Speaker 5: start talking now.
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: I think I think that does it for vault tours
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: and dates. For those of you wondering, yes, I have
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: made the channels already there in the discord, So if
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: you are attending one of these, you have your own
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: channel down there. If you are having an event another
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: lens and you want a channel Netherlens, let us know
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: so I can give you a channel, I mean, and
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: it did.
- 1:04:52Speaker 5: It did say there ghost galaxies open and securing additional
- 1:04:55Speaker 5: partners in other countries for international vault tours. So it's
- 1:04:59Speaker 5: clear that done with the US, but international go for it.
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: So take advantage while you can. Man. Yes, Netherlands, I
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: heard a rumor, and I heard a rumor, I mean
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: I read it in a discord somewhere that perhaps, right, yeah,
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: perhaps there would be a Germney val tour.
- 1:05:18Speaker 5: Well, Germany's run them in the past and so it
- 1:05:21Speaker 5: was kind of odd to not see them here. But
- 1:05:24Speaker 5: this is weird when we start to see these international
- 1:05:27Speaker 5: vaults and then you also have.
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: But according to j R. You should be able to
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: have all of this done ready by KFC. So yeah,
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: I mean, if you're if you if you're if you're not,
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: if you're repeating.
- 1:05:44Speaker 5: So Portland's a repeat, but Glenn Bernie is a repeat.
- 1:05:48Speaker 5: Why not are you not doing it next year?
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: They probably they probably don't know dates yet. Now I
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: am in agreeance with Jr. All of your dates should
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: be lined up a year in advance, that you should
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: know where you're headed the next year before I think.
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: I'm just gonna say it again. He Foorge. Even for
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: the people running these events doesn't make the Tier one
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: date selection list. It's the Tier two or the Tier three.
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: So there are other things that have to happen first
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: before they can figure out if they can do it.
- 1:06:25Speaker 5: Be seen having local players that are there. Oh, that's
- 1:06:29Speaker 5: a whole nother dead horse. Sorry, I'll just go ahead
- 1:06:32Speaker 5: and back away here now.
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: To put Phil what do you even try to kick there?
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: Put Phil back in the closet where he belongs. All right,
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: it is time to go.
- 1:06:43Speaker 5: Enough people already today, but we need to be able
- 1:06:46Speaker 5: to say this like you have some great choices, but no,
- 1:06:48Speaker 5: you should be able to put things together. If that's
- 1:06:51Speaker 5: your job, that then be able to make sure that
- 1:06:54Speaker 5: we have events that they are there organized or the
- 1:06:57Speaker 5: community shows up. We have a good group of individual
- 1:07:01Speaker 5: it's not telling ya.
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: It's not just the person who's supposed to be scheduling him.
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: Is the places he has to schedule them with.
- 1:07:08Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, I understand that. It's very much and there's all.
- 1:07:12Speaker 5: There is a lot of balancing, But I know that
- 1:07:19Speaker 5: it's just it's it's the task of the job. It's
- 1:07:22Speaker 5: got to get done right. But you're you're pushing pushing
- 1:07:26Speaker 5: in in February. This is mid February.
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: No, I agree with both of you on this one,
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: weirdly enough, because you both bring up good points. Yes,
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: it's extraordinarily late because it's been done in a more
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: timely fashion, one hundred percent absolutely. But on the same note,
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: Sheep's one hundred percent correct because it's he can only
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: do so much right because if he's got like these
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: are my these are my places I want to go,
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: or these are the dates that I want to have,
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: and you are not You are not a Magic Pokemon
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: to you, if you are not that top, if you're
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: tier thirty seven, right, that game store is kind of like,
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: let me get back to my let me get let
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: me look at my schedule real quick. I got to
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: figure out when the Magic pre releases. I got to
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: figure out when the Pokemon pre release, the yu gi
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: Oh pre release, the Armada pre release, the Star Wars
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: pre I got to figure out all these other things
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: to make sure that not what you're asking me isn't
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: in conflict with games that are actually probably driving my
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: bottom line. So there there are let me pose arguments.
- 1:08:33Speaker 5: Yeah, let me be very very clear. This is not,
- 1:08:35Speaker 5: in my opinion, a Josh issue. Josh is restricted by
- 1:08:39Speaker 5: GIGI and by CTP. He's also restricted by the game stores,
- 1:08:43Speaker 5: So I don't this is not something placing there. I
- 1:08:46Speaker 5: just think that you need to have a tenacious spirit
- 1:08:49Speaker 5: to go out and say I am a small game.
- 1:08:51Speaker 5: This is important. We're going to have five events. These
- 1:08:54Speaker 5: are the locations that I am strategically picking around. Here's
- 1:08:58Speaker 5: our player basis that we know they're playing in stores.
- 1:09:01Speaker 5: I'm contacting them, and I'm contacting them early, and I'm
- 1:09:04Speaker 5: making sure that here's what I can offer and why Okay,
- 1:09:08Speaker 5: keep in contact. It's not something that I can message
- 1:09:11Speaker 5: and then let it sit for a month. I'm assuming
- 1:09:15Speaker 5: I am assuming that he is.
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm assuming he is too. But then again, it's well,
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: let me get back to you, man. You know, I
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: gotta I gotta let me see.
- 1:09:23Speaker 5: Which is why I'm saying that you have to stay
- 1:09:25Speaker 5: on top of Like the world is so busy, you
- 1:09:27Speaker 5: have to stay on top of people no matter what
- 1:09:30Speaker 5: job we're in and the answer is that we got
- 1:09:33Speaker 5: We got to make sure that it's there.
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: I've also been in sales, and the other thing I
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: will tell you is nobody reads their emails. Oh we
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: we we So what I'm making a phone call? Yeah,
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: so now I'm making a phone call, probably to the
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: gatekeeper who's like, let me see if they're in. Oh,
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: they just went to lunch. It's five o'clock in the afternoon,
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: I mean dinner. Yeah, It's just it's the same. It's
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: it's the same rigamoro. Right, it's the same, it's the
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: same cycle. Right. It is really tough to get in
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: front to get things like this done unless you're really
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: in front of a person or the person is really
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: interested in working with you. And most of these stores,
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: I can't imagine key Forge is their top priority. So
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: it just kind of becomes that thing on this back burner.
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: And we all know what happens when we put a
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: pile of work to the side. It just gets forgotten about,
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: and then by you know it, Josh comes back a
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: week or two later. Hey, how we doing on that thing?
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I totally forgot. Let me get back to
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: you next week. And then all of a sudden, it's
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: a week or two later. It's just it's the same
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: cycle of perpetual bullshit that happens with everything, because I mean,
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: key Forge isn't a priority for a lot of people
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: right and for a lot of game stores right now.
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: Just is what it is. So it's it's you are
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: both correct in your own ways. You're both pretty How
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: does that sound? Yeah? Yeah, draftscore you could be pretty too,
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: you know, thank you? You know, I do think that.
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: Uh my, the phone is like the worst app on
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: my mobile device. I really hate it. Yeah, yeah, I
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: mean I see a number I don't know, I an't
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: answering it. That'sh it's going to voice smail. Yeah, I know.
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: It's great about the iPhone. It will block calls. I
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: don't even get half the calls from the numbers. I
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: don't know anymore because it literally the iPhone has a
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: little ticker now in the settings where you can turn
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: on an answering service will be like, well, it'll literally
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: put on an AI agent and say what do you want?
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: Why are you calling me? It doesn't for me that
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: for years, it's great, yeah, but like it doesn't for me,
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: so now, so now I have a gatekeeper that definitely
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: won't get me my messages because.
- 1:11:56Speaker 5: Why which is why you maintain the reallyationships that you
- 1:12:00Speaker 5: have at places like Portland and Baltimore, which again Josh
- 1:12:03Speaker 5: and g G has done a good job with. You
- 1:12:06Speaker 5: then have a few that are in the backup that
- 1:12:08Speaker 5: when you're going to your social networking events, when you're
- 1:12:11Speaker 5: at events where you can see other store owners or
- 1:12:14Speaker 5: other places where.
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: You go ahead of going to what did they go
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: ahead and show a cam to They go to c
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: dd A, CDs Game Day, and they go to the
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: other big one and the and these are start events
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: where you are getting in front of store decision makers. Yes, yes,
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: that's basically the only people who go to those. That's
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: that's just all I want. Is that a store owners
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: only kind of thing? Or well store employees? Yeah right,
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: so it's it is, it is. It is a delicate balancing,
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: uh event that just I don't think we're ever going
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: to find true, true happiness. And well, again this is
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: why they are at Ascent.
- 1:13:11Speaker 5: It is for their publishing because they're they're trying to
- 1:13:15Speaker 5: be able to spread out with game publishing, which is
- 1:13:18Speaker 5: a great opportunity. Again that's something that they can market
- 1:13:20Speaker 5: and showcase. What do we have that's extra that we
- 1:13:24Speaker 5: can go ahead and help incentivize you. One of those incundivisors,
- 1:13:27Speaker 5: in my opinion, is, hey, we have a local community
- 1:13:30Speaker 5: that's playing this game all the time. Awesome, So I
- 1:13:33Speaker 5: see people I know it's love. Great, then we'll bring
- 1:13:36Speaker 5: it in. We'll bring it in a larger event.
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: You keep meaning to something you I will. Really I
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: got to think they really just need a good looking
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: blonde because people get back to good looking blondes just
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: saying I got a wig. You could become a blonde
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: if you want. If Gigi's willing to pay for the costume,
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: I will be the booth babe. Panics at Panics Vegas
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: was just it's just a hotel, Like it wasn't a
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: game store, so like it's just vaabably well yeah, but
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: that's where the Vault Tour was just at a hotel,
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: Like it was probably the most expensive, which means they
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: had to pay hotel rates for everything, not yeah super
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: cheap game story rates. Are you ready to go into
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: master rule book updates? Should? Should we do that next time?
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: Since we've ever going out like we could argue you
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: we should spend time arguing about all these changes. Yeah,
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: and this old man's gonna go to bed. I am
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: perfectly fine with talking about the Master rule Book updates
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: next week. Make sure you get your Vault Vault Tour
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: bat whatever the ticket early so you can get your
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: five by seven blurb serialized blurb that's going to be
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: different art work. So I know who is the blur?
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: Who do we have signed our cards? I want a
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: psych I's right, I'll sign your card clearly. Yeah great?
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: Who made the blurb art? I don't even know the
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: actual artist. I don't know all keyboards ideas or Wooky's ideas, right,
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: So nope, just the bad ones. Oh well, you know,
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: I'll addamly take I'll only take credit for all the
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: bad ones because the bad ones adam v hite. But
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: the picture is really bad. Alrighty, well, eventually we do
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: DM cards. There is one in there that I think
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: is my bad idea because it came up in a
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: conversation with Luke. But it's it's fun. It's not good,
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: but it is a fun card. Man. It's this is
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: the same guy who made Fuzzy Gruin. Oh but make
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: sure go listen to our past episode on where you
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: can play key Forge not at Vault Tours. A lot
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: of good stuff in there. I gotta send my shout
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: out this week to mister Sheep for bringing up minor
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: because I think, I think that's the most fun I've
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: had just playing random key Forge in a long time.
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: So it can't keep up with Barry. It's killing me. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: you gotta keep you gotta meet Barry. But I don't
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: know when the next season is going to be. I
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: guess they're still in their quarterfinals, semifinals. I don't remember
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: what what finals they're in, but one of the top
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: four games still has to play that scheduled for tomorrow
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: the finals play, and then once the finals play, Minor
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: side League is over right, and then the race is done,
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: and then new numbers will be assigned for the next
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: minors leagues and they will have a core league and
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: then side side league again. But I gotta say, if
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: you're looking for random fun KeyForge me, I've learned a
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: lot about how key Forge decks are made. You can't
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: have creatures and creature control and not at fifty four
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: to sixty sass, so sometimes you're the hammer sometimes you're
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: the nail and uh, nothing meta is relevant because you
