Transcript
- 0:00Good evening. Excuse me, but do you have a
- 0:07room for the night? You see, the road has washed out
- 0:13and my horse had a flat tire. Maybe I I must tell you I am not
- 0:22alone. I am travelling with my
- 0:24beautiful assistant and a hideous, later formed monster.
- 0:31Oh, hideously, the phone is right.
- 0:34Watch it. I'm the beautiful assistant.
- 0:59Welcome to Hobo, a Muppet quiz show brought to you by
- 1:05toppigs.com. Alright, I I can't keep that up.
- 1:14But it's your favorite quiz show that's not like the others here.
- 1:18Muppet fans, Muppet Professionals, and everyone in
- 1:22between competes for fabulous prizes and to see who's this
- 1:26week's toughest Pig. I'm your host, Becca Petunia of
- 1:31toughpigs.com, and this week we're celebrating the only thing
- 1:36I like as much as Muppets? Halloween.
- 1:39That's right, boys and ghouls. Today on Habawa, we're preparing
- 1:45for a magical Halloween adventure of our own as we talk
- 1:48about some tricks and treats from the spooky worlds of that
- 1:53master of horror, Jim Henson. But seriously, Halloween is as
- 2:01much about cute and silly monsters as it is about Michael
- 2:04Myers and company, so The Muppets have always fit right
- 2:07in. Last season I did an episode all
- 2:10about Muppet monsters, or I guess mainly about Frazzle.
- 2:16This season we're focusing on some different, maybe less
- 2:20obvious Halloween angles. This meant I really needed to
- 2:24dig deep on Muppet Wiki. And that's right, as always,
- 2:29today's questions were written by me with help from that
- 2:32amazing resource, Muppet Wiki. And Speaking of, let's agree to
- 2:36play fair today. Please don't look at Muppet Wiki
- 2:39or any other resource during this game.
- 2:43That's one trick I won't allow on Halloween anyway.
- 2:47I'd be a terrible ghost host if I didn't let my themes, I mean,
- 2:54friends, introduce themselves. That's why we're going to play
- 3:00our first game, to tell a face. Contestants buzz in to answer
- 3:07some questions about yourself. Whoever buzzes in first will get
- 3:11introduced first. Ready.
- 3:14Go. All right, our first contestant.
- 3:19Mike, what is your name? My name is Mike Westfall.
- 3:25OK? And you know, we're we're doing
- 3:27this this season because it's a good thing to do and it's about
- 3:30time that I started doing it. Mike, what pronouns should we
- 3:33use for you in this recording? He him is fine.
- 3:36OK, second question. So Mike, you're a first time
- 3:41guest on this podcast and a first time guest on on Tough
- 3:44Pigs podcasts in general. So that means I have to ask you,
- 3:49what's your history with The Muppets?
- 3:52I have heard of The Muppets. No, they've I they've always
- 4:00been in my consciousness. I grew up with Sesame Street
- 4:03wallpaper in my bedroom. My earliest memory is jumping up
- 4:08and down on the couch and singing along to John Denver and
- 4:10The Muppets at Christmas together.
- 4:12So they've just been permeated throughout my life and they've
- 4:15never gone away. And I am grateful for it.
- 4:18And you know, I should, I should say, obviously there's always
- 4:21time for plugs at the end of the show, but you have a podcast of
- 4:26your own and you sometimes talk about Muppets on that podcast,
- 4:30including recently Anthony Strand of toughpigs.com.
- 4:35And I were on to talk about Almost Saves Christmas.
- 4:39So tell us a little bit about your podcast.
- 4:42Sure. It's a seasonal podcast.
- 4:44It's called the Advent Calendar House.
- 4:46I call it a salute to all holiday specials, but mostly the
- 4:49Christmas ones. And I'm very excited to be on a
- 4:53podcast where 100% of the listeners will understand that
- 4:56reference. It's funny, there's two episodes
- 5:00I recorded already where one was themed around a salute to all
- 5:05nations, but mostly America, and the other was about Muppet
- 5:08Vision 3D. So that's that's like 3 this
- 5:12season where we've made that reference.
- 5:14And last question, I'm going to ask you, Mike, what a Muppet or
- 5:19Henson puppet do you think is the scariest?
- 5:25That's a good question. I'm going to say when I stared
- 5:31deeply at I think it's Timmy monster.
- 5:36He kind of disturbed me as a kid when I would see him on The
- 5:39Muppet Show. That's fair.
- 5:41That's that's a good choice. Anyway, Mike, you have earned
- 5:45yourself 20 points. Hey, now our second contestant.
- 5:50Jared, what is your name? My name is Jared Faircloth and
- 5:56Jared again, just because I think it's the right thing to
- 5:58do, what pronouns should we use for you?
- 6:01Hey, Kim. All right.
- 6:03Although you can also call me boss Okay.
- 6:05Yeah, well I was about to say you are you are my boss because
- 6:09Jared Faircloth, everybody knows what you do for tough pigs
- 6:13because you are one of the Co owners of tough pigs.
- 6:17I am. I managed to weasel my way in.
- 6:20Yeah. So Jared, instead of asking you
- 6:23what your history with The Muppets is, because that's
- 6:25obvious, you've got your own Tough Pigs podcast to introduce
- 6:28our guest star. Everybody knows your history
- 6:31with The Muppets. So instead, you know, I don't
- 6:33know, let's do an impromptu performance review.
- 6:36What what should I do better? What should you do better?
- 6:39All right, well, look, last time I was on this very podcast with
- 6:45Ryan Rowe and. I understood you couldn't play
- 6:48favorites because we're both your boss, but you know he's not
- 6:52here. And Mike, you seem like a lovely
- 6:54man. But you know, I I haven't got a,
- 6:57You know, I've. I've never been on your podcast.
- 6:59We've never met. So as far as I'm concerned I
- 7:02don't care if I destroy you. So if Yeah, Becca, you can like,
- 7:07let me win, then you'll be like you're already within the top of
- 7:12the my favorites anyway. But you'll be you'll be slotting
- 7:15right in there above say like Soberman.
- 7:17OK, I'm gonna just copy in some questions about EMU the that the
- 7:24the TV show. Right.
- 7:26That's an Australian TV show. Where is that British?
- 7:29I've never heard of it. OK, well then I guess it must be
- 7:33British then. I guess I've.
- 7:34I've ruined things again. Well, I don't think you you'll
- 7:38have to worry too hard about winning or yeah, no, it's a it's
- 7:43a British puppet show that I just assumed was Australian
- 7:47because there's an emu in it. Yeah, yeah.
- 7:53Well, there's a TV show called EMU.
- 7:55It would have been funny if I picked one that's actually from
- 7:57Australia. And and Jared, which which
- 8:03Muppet or Henson puppet do you think is the scariest?
- 8:07I've got 2 answers. The first is.
- 8:10Season one, Ma Gog is a genuinely terrifying looking
- 8:17puppet. And then I've also genuinely a
- 8:22little bit terrified of Snuffy. Yeah, I've got a genuine lack of
- 8:25fear of Snuffy I and I've I've expressed that to Marty
- 8:29Robinson. He thinks it's very funny.
- 8:31I've seen Snuffy in the flesh and he is terrifying.
- 8:36And if you go back and listen to twins, I guess there I think
- 8:40with Leslie, Carrara, Rudolph, and I think it's even mentioned
- 8:43in the Marty episode, Marty likes to do a thing where he
- 8:47just gets in the snappy puppet and runs full pelt at somebody
- 8:52and then bees off at the last second.
- 8:54And I think if that happened to me, I don't think I'd recover.
- 8:59I mean, what's even worse is, is the old Snuffy puppet,
- 9:02obviously. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 9:05I reviewed one of the episodes with that big yellow eyed
- 9:08snuffle up. I guess when we were doing
- 9:10Sesame Rewind on the site, it was the episode where Big Bird
- 9:15gets vaccinated from the 1970s. I forget what disease he got
- 9:21vaccinated for. But anyway, and yeah, that
- 9:25puppet is real, real bad. And I bet it would be even worse
- 9:29if if Marty read at you in that puppet.
- 9:32Terrifying. Great.
- 9:33Well, there's nightmares I'll be having tonight.
- 9:35Thank you. You're very welcome.
- 9:36I mean, look, it's Halloween when we're recording it.
- 9:39It is definitely Halloween right now.
- 9:44Yes. Let's go along with that.
- 9:46Yeah. Yeah.
- 9:48Anyway, so Jared, you've also earned yourself 20 points.
- 9:53And you know, I'm giving those to you because you are my boss.
- 9:57Otherwise, I would have given you zero points.
- 9:59Thank you very much. But now let's open things up by
- 10:03talking about the most Halloweeny Muppet of all.
- 10:07That's right. I'm talking about Count Von
- 10:10Count. After all, nothing is more
- 10:13Halloweeny than math and vampires, but also math.
- 10:20Anyway, the count has been around for almost 50 years now,
- 10:24or, I guess if you believe him, 6,523,728 years.
- 10:32As a result, there's a lot to know about him.
- 10:36So we're going to play a game that I'm calling The Song of the
- 10:40Count. In this game, I'll ask you
- 10:44questions about the count. That's it.
- 10:47Each of these questions is worth 2 points.
- 10:50Buzz in when you know the answer, but Please wait until I
- 10:54finish asking the question so our bat friends at home can play
- 10:59along. Ready.
- 11:02All right, here we go. How do you do it?
- 11:09Is I the count? They called me the count because
- 11:12I love to count things. Question one Which Sesame Street
- 11:18writer is credited with creating Count Von Count Jared?
- 11:27I'm going to take a guess and say, was Johnstone a writer?
- 11:32I'm going to say Johnstone. It is not Johnstone, but you.
- 11:37You are my boss, so I'm going to just say that nicely.
- 11:39It's definitely a great guess, but it is not Johnstone.
- 11:46OK. Mike, do you want to try to
- 11:47steal? I couldn't begin to guess.
- 11:52All right, it is norm styles. He was my he was.
- 11:56He was. It was one to two question two
- 12:00in The Count's first appearance in 1972, he had a vampiric power
- 12:06that was rarely used in future episodes.
- 12:09What was it, Jared? That I know he could, like
- 12:16hypnotize people with his hands, couldn't he?
- 12:18Correct He could, and he used them to hypnotize Bert in that
- 12:23that episode. We all know that the Count is a
- 12:26snappy dresser. On which of his eyes does he
- 12:30wear a monocle, Mike? His left eye.
- 12:38It is his left eye. I was complaining about this
- 12:42yesterday on Twitter. Question 4.
- 12:46According to the album The Count Counts.
- 12:49What is the name of the Counts radio station, which broadcasts
- 12:53direct from the Sesame Street Studios high above Hooper's
- 12:57Candy Store? Jared.
- 13:04Is it like count 1-2, three or something like that?
- 13:08It feels like it's going to be something like that.
- 13:10Jared, I'm going to give it to you.
- 13:11It is Radio 123I. I will give it to you that is
- 13:17that is very close. Question 5.
- 13:20The count has had many jobs including as a film director.
- 13:25Which famous Irish actor did he direct in the films Transylvania
- 13:3065000 and Counting in the Rain Mike?
- 13:38Is it Liam Neeson? It is Liam Neeson.
- 13:40Mike, correct. Well done.
- 13:43And I do want to say this quote is on Muppet Wiki, Liam Neeson
- 13:47has said. I feel like I'm not going to do
- 13:50his voice. I feel like I've now worked with
- 13:52the great cinematic masters Spielberg, Lucas, Rubber Ducky
- 13:57and The Count. My artistic life is complete
- 14:00question six. Since 2017, the Count's castle
- 14:05has been given this street number, which makes it the same
- 14:09as Betty Lou's address from the Sesame Street treasury.
- 14:13There's my my great Sesame Street Treasury reference for
- 14:16this episode. What's the Count's house
- 14:20address? That's also Betty Lou's house
- 14:21address, Mike. Is it 456 Sesame Street?
- 14:25It is 456. The only reason I got that was
- 14:30because you gave that Sesame Street Treasury hint, because I
- 14:35made such a big deal about it then.
- 14:37Well, I had the Sesame Street Treasury, so I remember that
- 14:41question 7 The count appeared in one Sesame Street News flash
- 14:45sketch where he counted which two famous fairy tale groups.
- 14:54If you can name 1M, I'm going to say the Seven Dwarfs.
- 14:58The Seven Dwarfs is 1. Care to guess the 2nd?
- 15:02I'm going to guess the Three Little Pigs.
- 15:04That is correct. Drove Kermit crazy.
- 15:09Unsurprisingly. Question 8.
- 15:14Unlike most vampires, the Count can be out in sunlight.
- 15:17In fact, he once relaxed on a tropical island and sang a song
- 15:22about counting coconuts. Which celebrity joined him for
- 15:26this song? Jared.
- 15:33Was like Jimmy Buffett or something.
- 15:35It is not Jimmy Buffett you're thinking of Jimmy Buffett
- 15:38singing Caribbean amphibian with.
- 15:40Herman thinking of Yes with Kermit and Jill the Frog on Elmo
- 15:45Palooza. I'm never not thinking of that.
- 15:48Yeah, no, I mean, listen, I'm going to do a full Elmo Palooza
- 15:51episode one day. Mike, do you have a do you have
- 15:53a guess? I believe it was Harry
- 15:55Belafonte. It was Harry Belafonte, yes,
- 15:59friend of The Muppets. Harry Belafonte, Question 9.
- 16:03At different points the Count has had a pet cat and a pet bat
- 16:08with this same silly name. What is it, Mike?
- 16:17It's Fatata, Tina or Tatita. I will give it to you.
- 16:20It's Fata Tita. Fata Tita, Question 10.
- 16:28The count is associated with many countesses, each of whom he
- 16:32is related to in different ways. What is the full name of his
- 16:37main love interest? The.
- 16:39Countess Jared. Is it Cantus von backward.
- 16:50So Jared, I will give you one point.
- 16:58Because he has dated Countess von backward, but less
- 17:02frequently than the other Countess.
- 17:05So I will give you one point. Alright, I'll thank it.
- 17:08They almost never use the name of the Countess who he most
- 17:13often is seen with. I had to look this one up.
- 17:17Mike, do you, do you have a guess?
- 17:20I remember seeing the name Countess Darling Von Darling
- 17:25Mike. I will give you one point
- 17:26because that is the name of the Countess who is his cousin.
- 17:33No, the the main Countess, the one who appears the most
- 17:37frequently with the count and is usually just called the
- 17:39Countess, is named Natasha von Numeral.
- 17:46Definitely have not heard that one.
- 17:48I had not heard that one either. And what famous actress and
- 17:55horror movie star did the count? Also, once take on a date.
- 18:04Jared, that was Julianne Moore did that.
- 18:08Happen, wasn't he? He was in a thing with Julianne
- 18:10Moore. Definitely.
- 18:12Was he? But I know, I know.
- 18:13I know who you're talking about. That wasn't who I was looking
- 18:16for. But you know what?
- 18:17Let me check. You know I will give it to you,
- 18:21because I don't necessarily know if they were supposed to be on a
- 18:24date, but she was in far from 7:00 with the count, a spoof of
- 18:31Far From Heaven, the Julianne Moore movie.
- 18:35I'll give you 2 points. Mike, do you know who I was
- 18:39thinking of in this classic sketch?
- 18:41You might have been thinking of Susan Sarandon.
- 18:44I was thinking of Susan Sarandon, but I will absolutely
- 18:48give Jared two points as well for Julianne Moore Question 11
- 18:54in a sitcom parody. The count is horrified to learn
- 18:59that Countess, Natasha von Numeral and Prairie Dawn are
- 19:03using a made-up number instead of a real one.
- 19:06What made-up number were they using in this sitcom parody?
- 19:13The the the number is sitcom parody.
- 19:19I think of like a sitcom that had a number in the name Three's
- 19:23Company. In my head it was not Three's
- 19:25Company because Three is a real number.
- 19:29It was. It was one of my favorite
- 19:31sketches, the 20 something sketch where the count is
- 19:36horrified every time anybody says 20 something.
- 19:42Based on what? Was it 30 something?
- 19:4330 something What's the show? Yeah, and question 12 Matt
- 19:48Vogel's count debuted in an official Sesame Street YouTube
- 19:52video. What important milestone did the
- 19:56Count commemorate in Song Jared? That was 1 billion views on
- 20:05YouTube. For Sesame Street was 1 billion
- 20:08views on YouTube for Sesame Street and I would have accepted
- 20:11any number. If you got that number wrong, I
- 20:13would have still given it to you.
- 20:16I guess if you said 3 views I would have questioned it, but as
- 20:20we've just discovered, 3 is not a real number.
- 20:22Yeah, okay true. Anyway.
- 20:26Those are so counting. Our bonus question about Susan
- 20:29Sarandon and the question about the Countess, who's his cousin,
- 20:35and the Countess Vaughn backwards.
- 20:37That's 1515. Wonderful questions.
- 20:47Radio 123 and now you will listen to a word from our
- 20:54sponsor. Friends, has your accounting
- 20:57been a little dull lately? Not much fun.
- 21:01Well, maybe it's because you can only count to 10.
- 21:04So let me tell you about the Wonderful #15.
- 21:08It's just five more than 10. It keeps 14 from crashing into
- 21:1316. And it's real easy to count to
- 21:16now. Halloween might be a holiday
- 21:18about ghosts and monsters, but it's also about trick or
- 21:21treating. And that means dressing up.
- 21:25That's why we're going to play a game that I'm calling All
- 21:28Dressed Up. I'm all dressed up and ready to
- 21:33go. In this game, I'll be asking
- 21:37questions related to Muppets and celebrities in costumes.
- 21:41That's right, it's still just a regular trivia game, but now
- 21:46it's about costumes anyway. Can you see through these
- 21:49costumes and see the truth? Each of these questions is worth
- 21:532 points. Please wait to buzz in until
- 21:56you've heard the full question. Here we go.
- 22:00Keep listening for the word imposter today on Sesame Street.
- 22:04Hi, you're an imposter. That's the word of the street.
- 22:09Question one which named Muppet Show character appears dressed
- 22:14as a mummy in the opening number of the Gladys Knight episode of
- 22:19The Muppet Show. Jared, is it fuzzy?
- 22:25It is not Fozzy. Good guess though, there's two
- 22:28whatnots. That's why I specified named
- 22:30Muppet character Mike. Do you have a guess?
- 22:34I'm going to guess Gonzo. It is Gonzo.
- 22:38This was one of my favorite episodes as a child because I
- 22:42had a lot of Season 5 taped directly from TV.
- 22:45My my dad had taped them. And yeah, Gonzo is a mummy.
- 22:49And it's funny because when he turns his head, it's the same
- 22:52joke as as Darth Nader. When he turns his head, it's
- 22:56revealed that he's Gonzo question two in a classic Sesame
- 23:01sketch about Ernie's disguise kit.
- 23:04What two costumes does Ernie wear?
- 23:11Mike I. Remember 1 being a pirate?
- 23:14One is a pirate. Is the other one a wizard?
- 23:18It is not a wizard. Good guess, Jared.
- 23:21Do you know the other one? Michael?
- 23:22Give you one point. Is it Little Red Riding Hood?
- 23:25It is. Little Red Riding Hood The beard
- 23:28threw me off because he still had the.
- 23:29Beard on Yeah, he still has the beard as Little Red Riding Hood.
- 23:33Yes, what a great sketch. And of course there was a book,
- 23:36Ernie's Disguise Kit. That was the same thing.
- 23:40I had that as a kit. Question 3IN Muppets Most Wanted
- 23:44This actor dresses as Fozzy Bear during the Gulags talent show.
- 23:53Jared, that is Danny Trejo. Danny Trejo another great friend
- 23:58of The Muppets. Danny Trejo, Question 4.
- 24:03Similarly in The Muppets 2011. This celebrity dresses as Animal
- 24:09while serving as The Muppets drummer Animal Jared.
- 24:19That would be Dave Grohl. Dave Grohl, another great friend
- 24:22of The Muppets. It's just Friend of The Muppets
- 24:23episode Question 5. This Kuzbanian creature is
- 24:29capable of disguising itself as anything, including Kermit the
- 24:33Frog. I got nothing.
- 24:39Like, do you remember one of those Kuzban sketches?
- 24:44The one that pops into the mind was was from The Muppets
- 24:47Valentine show. I do not know any other
- 24:49Kuzbanian species by name. It is, of course, the Kuzbanian
- 24:53fu. Of course.
- 24:55Yeah, geez, how could you not know?
- 24:57It was the Kuzbanian Question Six while directing his film The
- 25:04Summer of Snuffy. This director was forced to play
- 25:08the role of Mr. Snuffleupagus. Jared, I just the summer didn't
- 25:17have in my head Bob. It is not Bob.
- 25:20But I'd like to say Bob dressed as Snuffy.
- 25:24Yeah. No, I mean, listen, there were
- 25:26so many. I know.
- 25:27Was it Shane who did a piece on all of Bob's costumes?
- 25:30Yeah. I think it was, yeah.
- 25:32There's so many good ones. What a legend.
- 25:36Mike, do you have a guest who directed The Summer of Snuffy
- 25:40and was forced to play Snuffy? OK, well it was of course the
- 25:48real world director of the film The Summer of Sam, Spike Lee.
- 25:53That's who it was, OK. He wanted Snuffy to do to read
- 25:59his lines in different emotions, and Snuffy was unable, so Spike
- 26:03Lee decided. He would play Snuffy in in the
- 26:07movie Jared. More or less scary than regular
- 26:10Snuffy. Not quite as scary.
- 26:16Scary in a different way, I. Think, yeah.
- 26:17I mean, certainly smaller Spike. I've never seen the show.
- 26:21I've seen Snuffy in real life. I've never seen Spike Lee in
- 26:24real life. Question seven in the special A
- 26:27Magical Halloween Adventure. Telly monster dresses up as this
- 26:33triangular object Mike. Piece of cheese.
- 26:41A piece of cheese. He is specifically super cheese.
- 26:46That special is very weird. There is a great early Tough
- 26:50pigs article where Danny Horn reviewed it from 2004 and Danny
- 26:55reveals that he does not understand Telly Monster.
- 27:02He is incredibly annoyed by the fact that Telly Monsters loves
- 27:06things that are triangles. Question eight.
- 27:09In the same episode of the Muppet Babies reboot that
- 27:12introduced baby Sweetums, Statler and Waldorf appear as
- 27:17monsters to teach Rizzo a lesson about sharing.
- 27:21What type of monsters are they? I should clarify, it's not
- 27:26technically the same episode in the sense that they're 211
- 27:30minute episodes, but these were the 211 minute episodes that
- 27:33were recruited together. I just don't want, you know, I
- 27:37don't know. I'm sure there's some Muppet
- 27:39Babies 2018 superfan who's going to get mad at me if I don't
- 27:42specify that Jared, I'm just going to take a stab in the dark
- 27:53and I'm going to say can I can I ask one question and you can say
- 28:00whatever you like. Is it?
- 28:01Are they the same or are they 2? They are both the same kind of
- 28:04monster. Are they werewolves?
- 28:07They are not werewolves. Good guess, Mike.
- 28:10You want to just guess. Guess a monster.
- 28:12That's that was going to be my guess.
- 28:16Are they vampires? No, I'm sorry, they are mummies.
- 28:21They imagine that, like, Rizzo is looking for like, treasure in
- 28:26a pyramid or something. Yeah, I I saw this episode, just
- 28:30I don't remember it. Anyway, even without wearing an
- 28:34additional costume, this Muppet Show monster has represented
- 28:38both Quasimodo and Frankenstein's monster Mike.
- 28:46I'm gonna guess Swedom's. It is not Swedom's good guess.
- 28:50Jared, do you want to try to steal?
- 28:52Yeah, but I've forgotten his name.
- 28:53You. Must know it If you forgot his
- 28:57name, yeah, it's is it? Is it Van Neuter's mate it?
- 29:04Is Van Neuter's mate is of course, named.
- 29:08I'm just gonna give it to you anyway, in the spirit of the
- 29:11spirit of the season. But I've forgotten the name.
- 29:16It's, it's. Oh, hang on.
- 29:17Sorry. I've just got the eggy noggy
- 29:19skit stuck in my head and I'm trying to remember mulch, mulch.
- 29:22It is Mulch. Mulch is his name, yeah.
- 29:25He does appear season five of The Muppet Show as Quasimodo,
- 29:29and then in Muppets Go Hollywood or Muppets go to the movies.
- 29:33One of them, he's Frankenstein. And then after that, he's Fan
- 29:37Neuter's fan, Neuter's assistant.
- 29:40Okay. So now we're going to take a
- 29:42slight detour to talk a little bit about the video game Muppet
- 29:45Monster Adventure. In that game, there are
- 29:49monsterized versions of some of the main Muppets.
- 29:54In these two-part questions, I'm going to name a Muppet, buzz in,
- 29:58and tell me which of the universal monsters they are in
- 30:02that game. You will also get two extra
- 30:06points if you know their monster name from the game.
- 30:10OK, our first one of these, Kermit, Mike.
- 30:19He's Frankenstein's monster, and I believe that he's just called
- 30:22the Kerr monster, correct? On both counts, OK.
- 30:26Next question, Miss Piggy, Mike again by A.
- 30:33Hair by a millisecond. She's the bride of Frankenstein,
- 30:38and I believe her name is She's the Ghoul friend.
- 30:41She is the ghoul friend. Mike, you are.
- 30:44You are doing great at this PlayStation One themed, also a
- 30:50great game by the way. Yeah, no, it's fun.
- 30:52I I played it recently and by recently I mean like six years
- 30:56ago, seven years ago, that's. Recently for PlayStation.
- 30:59I was about to say, considering this game came out and like,
- 31:01yeah. Okay.
- 31:03Next question. Gonzo Jared is a vampire, a
- 31:12Dracula. Yeah, and but you know what?
- 31:16I couldn't tell you the name. So Mark, if you want to steal,
- 31:18go. For it.
- 31:19This is the best pun in the entire game.
- 31:22Nose prater and his. His nose I should have just
- 31:27spent once. You said vampire.
- 31:29It came up. It was just like, oh, that's it.
- 31:31No, it's it's the best joke of the game.
- 31:32None of the other ones, they tried even half as hard.
- 31:35Like, you know, I bet Kirk came up with these and, you know,
- 31:40yeah. Anyway, next question, Fozzy
- 31:42Bear. Jared that is.
- 31:48He is a werewolf and he is the Waka Waka Webbar.
- 31:52Yep, again. Doesn't feel like maybe tried as
- 31:56hard as Nos ferrat to. And then last and definitely
- 32:01least Clifford Jared. He is the swamp monster, yeah.
- 32:13And it's called. Yeah, Yeah.
- 32:14And it's a muck monster, I believe.
- 32:16It is the Muck monster, which is not even a pun.
- 32:19I don't get that one. I don't know what they were,
- 32:21what they were trying for, because swamp is mucky, I guess
- 32:24then. Well, no, I mean, I know that.
- 32:26But I mean, like, yeah, there's no pun to it.
- 32:29There's no Nosferatu, is it? Yeah.
- 32:34Well, now I know what I'm dressing up As for Halloween.
- 32:38The Muck Monster. No, it's it's not the muck
- 32:42monster. I already I already promised
- 32:44Scott from Muppet Wiki that I'm going to dress as Meteora.
- 32:48Yes, So here's something scary This episode we are not playing
- 32:55Beat the time. Instead, we're doing something
- 32:58else. We're going to play a new
- 33:01version of an old favorite game. Order up.
- 33:05Yes Sir. Rush.
- 33:07Order on the stuff. A special day, Charlie.
- 33:09Sorry Grover. Order up isn't a game about
- 33:12being a waiter. Instead, it's a game about
- 33:15placing things in chronological order.
- 33:19I'm going to give you 2 scary moments in Muppet history.
- 33:24Your job is to buzz in and tell me which came first.
- 33:29So if I said Uncle Deadly appears on The Muppet Show?
- 33:33Or the count appears on Sesame Street.
- 33:37You'd buzz in and say the count appears on Sesame Street.
- 33:42That's it. That's the game.
- 33:43Each of these questions is worth 2 points.
- 33:47And of course you can't steal if your opponent gets it wrong,
- 33:51because there's only two possible options, right?
- 33:55You get it? Got it?
- 33:58Okay. Let's see which came first.
- 34:00Question one. The Alice Cooper episode of The
- 34:04Muppet Show or the Vincent Price episode of The Muppet Show.
- 34:10Jared, that would be Vincent Price.
- 34:12It is Vincent Price, Vincent Price 1976, Alice Cooper 1978.
- 34:18I don't expect you to know that. I just wrote these down.
- 34:22Question 2. Grover or Harry Monster?
- 34:28Jared Rover. It is Grover technically because
- 34:34he appeared in 1967 as Gleep, whereas Hairy Monster did not
- 34:40appear until the first episode of season 2 of Sesame Street
- 34:44Question 3, Swedoms or Thog Mike.
- 34:50Swedoms. I'm sorry, it is not Swedoms.
- 34:55Great Santa Claus Switch with Thog is 1970.
- 34:58The Frog Prince with Swedoms is 1971.
- 35:02Got the I got the release date confused with a Cinderella,
- 35:04that's what. That that'll do it.
- 35:06That's that's splurge. That's splurge.
- 35:09Yeah. Question 4.
- 35:13The soldier and death episode of the Storyteller or the Fraggle
- 35:18Rock episode? Scared.
- 35:19Silly. Jared by a second Bridal Rock.
- 35:27It is the Fraggle Rock episode 1985 for Fraggle Rock 1989 for
- 35:33Soldier and Death that was part of the Jim Henson Hour Question
- 35:375. Ernie and Bert explore a pyramid
- 35:40and find a talking statue or the song Monster in the Mirror Mike.
- 35:51Ernie and Bird explore that pyramid.
- 35:52It is. That was 1982.
- 35:54Monster in the Mirror. Not until 1989, which feels late
- 36:00to me. I thought it was later than
- 36:02that, actually. Yeah, I would've actually gone
- 36:04later. I thought that was Post Gym.
- 36:06No, I mean it was right on the cusp.
- 36:09I think the celebrity version may have been recorded post
- 36:12junk. That's quite it with The
- 36:14Simpsons at the end. That's Yep, that'll do it.
- 36:16That'll do it. But technically it existed
- 36:18before The Simpsons at the end. Yeah, yeah.
- 36:22It's just one of those things where again, like.
- 36:24And and Jared, you're of a similar age to me, if I recall,
- 36:27but like because I was bored in 91.
- 36:30That just feels like it's always been Grover's song and it's kind
- 36:35of funny to think that he was around for like 20 some odd
- 36:38years with without that. Like, it's just weird question 6
- 36:47Elmo says Boo or Muppet Monster Adventure for the Sony
- 36:52PlayStation. Mike.
- 36:58Elmo says Boo. It is Elmo says Boo 1997 for
- 37:02Elmo Says Boo. Muppet Monster Adventure wasn't
- 37:05until 2000. Question 7 The song I Want a
- 37:09Monster to be My Friend is removed from Sesame Street due
- 37:14to controversy or Elmo first appears on Sesame Street.
- 37:24Jared Elmo appears on Sesame Street.
- 37:27It is Elmo appears on Sesame Street.
- 37:31Elmo's first appearance is in the song We Are All Monsters,
- 37:34which of course is re dubbed for Elmo says Boo and other
- 37:38purposes. That was 1980.
- 37:42I want a monster stuck around from like season 2 of Sesame
- 37:46Street through 1984 before. Parents complained and then it
- 37:54was only gone for a little bit before it came back with
- 37:57different lyrics for Elmo Palooza.
- 37:59I have to say that Elmo Palooza version of I Want a Monster to
- 38:02Be My Friend is very creepy. I don't think I've seen it.
- 38:07Yeah. Yeah, I mean all I love Elmo
- 38:10Palooza in that En Vogue is basically like hitting on Cookie
- 38:17Monster and Frazzle and like. It's weird.
- 38:21It's just weird. Oh, I guess we're getting Elmo
- 38:24Palooza is getting canceled. Yeah, no, I'm canceling Elmo
- 38:27Palooza. Question 8, The Cube or the
- 38:32Monster at the end of this book, Jared.
- 38:39The Cube, it is the Cube. The cube is 1969, same year as
- 38:43the the first year of Sesame Street.
- 38:46Monster at the end of this book though 1971, Pretty early in
- 38:50Sesame's Sesame's run, Question 9, Matt Vogel begins performing
- 38:55Uncle Deadly or Matt Vogel begins performing the count.
- 39:04Mike. Matt Vogel begins performing the
- 39:08Count. I'm sorry, it is actually Uncle
- 39:11Deadly. He doesn't start performing the
- 39:14count until that video we talked about earlier, which was 2013.
- 39:19So Uncle Deadly, of course he was playing in The Muppets 2011
- 39:24and question 10, the Sesame Street special A Magical
- 39:28Halloween Adventure or the Bear in the Big Blue House episode
- 39:32Halloween Bear. Jared, do you have a guess?
- 39:39I'm going to go bear in the Big Blue house, but I don't like it.
- 39:42You should love Bear in the Big Blue House.
- 39:44It's a great show. I don't like the answer.
- 39:46No, it. Listen, Jared, you are right.
- 39:49Trusting your gut paid off. The Halloween bear was 1999.
- 39:54Magical Halloween adventure, which I think I spoiled earlier
- 39:59was 2004 because I said that that's when the tough pigs
- 40:02article was from messed that up. But yeah, I mean, hey.
- 40:08You are right, Halloween Bear is older.
- 40:11All right, let me just total the score.
- 40:14This is actually a very close game, which is exciting.
- 40:17I I like close games. I'm just doing a hell of a lot
- 40:20better than I did in the last one.
- 40:22Yeah, well, I think I had, I think I got like 2 answers.
- 40:25I put you on a final episode where I pull out like the most
- 40:29nonsense trivia possible. That was the one where I was
- 40:31asking questions about like Gulliver's Travels and yeah,
- 40:36like where it was like, no, no one's going to do like you need
- 40:41to be Ryan to do even OK at that.
- 40:44And I was against Ryan, yes, you were.
- 40:47And this one, this one I feel like is more more your speed.
- 40:50I'm asking about specials you've seen and like.
- 40:53I'm as shocked as you are. I'm thinking welcome to the
- 40:56podcast feed. Your first opponent is the
- 40:58coowner of the website. Yeah, you'd be surprised.
- 41:02That little I've seen. Certainly.
- 41:06Certainly, yeah. No, I mean, like Jared, Jared,
- 41:09you, you are knowledgeable, but you, you are not like a shame or
- 41:14a Ryan where like I know that you're going to, you're going to
- 41:17pull out the most random random facts.
- 41:20Yeah. Anyway, so our score right now,
- 41:23Mike, you have 52 points and Jared, you have 58 points.
- 41:28So it is close. Anyone's game.
- 41:31Yeah. And it's time for our final
- 41:34trivia game. Kind of.
- 41:37As we mentioned earlier, in 1997 there was a Made for VHS Sesame
- 41:42special called Elmo Says Boo. It's terrible.
- 41:47I love it. Anthony Strand from Tough Pigs
- 41:51loves it. Did I mention that it was
- 41:53terrible? Anyway, in this special, Elmo
- 41:57goes to the Count's castle to tell him some funny, scary
- 42:02jokes. The special has some old sesame
- 42:05clips, and I guess it kind of has a plot that's about telling
- 42:09jokes. But it's mostly Elmo.
- 42:11And also weirdly Rosita and Telly and Baby Bear and Kingston
- 42:15Livingston the 3rd and Joey and Davy Monkey telling basically
- 42:21the worst jokes any anyone has ever heard.
- 42:25Here's an example of one of those jokes.
- 42:31Yes, knock knock. Who's there?
- 42:37Bat. Bat who?
- 42:40Batter. Open the time.
- 42:42Mr. Count Emma has some funny jokes to tell you.
- 42:51This is, this is, This is why we are going to play a game that I
- 42:58am calling Time to Spookalize in this game.
- 43:06I will tell you an actual joke from the 1997 special Elmo says
- 43:12Boo. Your job is to buzz in and give
- 43:17me the punchline. I'll give you some wiggle room
- 43:20if you don't get the wording exactly, but you've got to get
- 43:23close. We we take our funny, scary joke
- 43:25seriously here. Each of these is going to be
- 43:28worth 2 points. And again, these are all real
- 43:33jokes from the special. I will say if we get to a knock
- 43:37knock joke, I will do all of the setup myself up until what would
- 43:42be the punchline? You guys understand how knock
- 43:44knock jokes work. You are not 3 1/2 years old like
- 43:48Elmo. All right, here are some jokes.
- 43:51Question one, what's a ghost's favorite dessert?
- 44:00Mike, you buzzed in. Is it Ice Scream?
- 44:04You might think You might think that the answer is Ice Scream,
- 44:08but I'm sorry, that is not funny and scary enough.
- 44:12Jared, do you want to guess what A Ghost's favorite dessert is?
- 44:16I've got nothing. I think it's one of those anti
- 44:20jokes. You know, the jokes that just
- 44:22don't have a funny answer. Jello, Listen, that's funnier
- 44:28than any of the jokes. It almost says Boo no.
- 44:32The correct answer is, of course, Boo Berry pie.
- 44:36Of. Course, of course.
- 44:39OK, next question. Where does a bat go to get
- 44:43clean, Jared? Do the Bat Room.
- 44:51You know, normally I'd say that's close enough, but I'm
- 44:54taking these jokes pretty seriously.
- 44:56Yeah, that's bad. close, but no cigar, Mike.
- 45:00The Battub? Yeah.
- 45:02The Battub. Absolutely.
- 45:04Yeah. Well done, K Question three,
- 45:07What's a Ghost's favorite game, Jared?
- 45:15Like hide and seek because they're.
- 45:18Visible or whatever. close, close.
- 45:22God damn it, Mike, do you want to steal?
- 45:26Is it hide and shriek? It is I'm.
- 45:29Just so sad. Question 5.
- 45:34Knock knock. Who's there?
- 45:37Boo. Boohoo.
- 45:44Jared, do you need a tissue? Because you're crying or
- 45:48something. I will give that one to you.
- 45:51I will give that one to you. It's it's phrased as please
- 45:53don't cry. It's only a joke.
- 45:55But that is certainly close enough that I will give it to
- 45:59you. What's the scariest ride at the
- 46:02amusement park? Mike the Roller Ghoster.
- 46:10The roller ghoster is correct. Question 7.
- 46:16And I do want to say I should have written down who tells each
- 46:19of these jokes, but this one I know for a fact is from Joey and
- 46:23Davey Monkey because it is what did the ghost give the monkeys
- 46:28to eat, Jared? Bananas.
- 46:35It is bananas. Awful.
- 46:40I've definitely talked about them on this podcast before, and
- 46:44I think possibly on Mike's podcast.
- 46:46But Joey and Davey Monkey were characters on Sesame Street when
- 46:50I was a child who only existed to say bananas in a funny voice.
- 46:56They they did not have any other gimmick or really any other
- 47:01thing other than just, they said bananas in a funny voice.
- 47:06Funny voice. I'm assuming I can guess the
- 47:08voice that Joey had. Yeah, I think you probably could
- 47:11guess the voice that Joey, Joey Monkey had.
- 47:14Yeah, and I will say Davey Monkey sounded like David Rudman
- 47:21doing an impression of Joey Mazzarina.
- 47:30Question 8. What's the scariest thing you
- 47:34can have for lunch, Jared? Jello, listen, listen.
- 47:46As someone as someone who has been who has been hospitalized
- 47:50for extended periods of time, it is terrifying when all you can
- 47:54eat for lunch is jello. But no, it is not.
- 47:58It's not jello. Mike, do you want to steal?
- 48:01Is it a sandwich? It is a sandwich.
- 48:05Question nine. What bat knows it's ABC's Mike?
- 48:15An alphabet? It is an alphabet.
- 48:20Can't stop laughing. Question 10 What does the count
- 48:26say at the beginning of a baseball game, Mike?
- 48:35I remember this one. Batter up.
- 48:37It is batter up. See, Jared, baseball is a game
- 48:41that we have here in the United States.
- 48:45Yeah, and the bat batter is the person who hits the ball.
- 48:50They don't use the animal of that though.
- 48:54I thought that's how COVID started.
- 48:58These are the jokes, folks. Question 11 Which bat works for
- 49:03the circus? Mike by a second.
- 49:08Again, Mike's on a roll with these bad See.
- 49:11See. Here's the difference.
- 49:12Mike is a dad, so Mike understands.
- 49:15Dad jokes? Yeah, that's it at a deeper,
- 49:17deeper level than Jared does. Is it an Acrobat?
- 49:22It is an Acrobat question 12. What's the first thing ghosts do
- 49:28when they ride in a car? Jared, you know, I can't even
- 49:36think of anything. I just don't put on their
- 49:37seatbelt, OK? And I'm like, I can't even think
- 49:41of, I can't even think of to a joke making into a joke.
- 49:44OK, all right. You're both looking at me like
- 49:45go, go, go. All right, put on the put on the
- 49:50seatbelt. No, no, I give up Mike.
- 49:57Funnier. Funnier than the actual joke,
- 50:01Mike. They put on their sheet belt,
- 50:05they do put on their sheet. Belt never would have gotten
- 50:09that question 8. What does a ghost put in his ice
- 50:14cream? Soda, you might say.
- 50:19Wait a minute, Becca, It feels like there's already a pun in
- 50:22this. And shouldn't the answer be ice
- 50:25cream? No, Mike.
- 50:32Is it whipped? Scream, it is whipped scream,
- 50:35which again feels like a cheap cop out like.
- 50:40My aunt was going to be Boots Be a Here's the thing, I think
- 50:46Jared Jared's are all funnier. And then our our 13th scary
- 50:55joke. What is a Baby Ghost's favorite
- 50:59game, Jared? Is it peekaboo?
- 51:07It is peekaboo. And with all those jokes, you
- 51:13must have worked up quite an appetite.
- 51:15So go into the kitchen for some screech cobbler.
- 51:20That's the last joke in the special.
- 51:22That's how it ends. So we still have two quick games
- 51:29to go. First up is of course the
- 51:34anything in the World Prize game, because you two are now
- 51:38able to ask me anything in the world, or at least anything in
- 51:43the world of Spooky Muppet Stuff and Muppet Monsters.
- 51:48Each of you will get to ask me a question about The Muppets.
- 51:51If you stump me, you will earn 15 points.
- 51:56So let me just do a do a quick point total to see where we're
- 52:00at while you think this over. Hey, it is still a very close
- 52:04game, although Mike did pull ahead in that that joke round.
- 52:11Jared, you have 64 points. Mike, you have 70 points.
- 52:15So again, still very close. But yeah, no, no, Jared.
- 52:21Jared kept over thinking those jokes.
- 52:24Anyway, Jared, do you want to ask me your your stump the host
- 52:28question first? I do.
- 52:31In the Vincent Price episode of The Muppet Show, the monster
- 52:34Thudge McGurk shows up in Statler and Waldorf's balcony.
- 52:38According to them, Thudge is a scary actor in the same vein as
- 52:42Vincent Price. What was Thudge Mcgurk's last
- 52:46film? I don't remember.
- 52:52I remember Thudge McGurk. I don't remember the.
- 52:59It was The Phantom of the soap opera.
- 53:03That's right. That's that's a joke.
- 53:07And Jared, you get 15 points bringing you up to 79.
- 53:13Mike. There was a Sesame Street
- 53:18storybook from 1986 called Scared of the Dark where Bert
- 53:22and Ernie go to a scary movie. Can you name the scary movie
- 53:26they go to? I can.
- 53:32I know that it's not. I mean, clearly it's like a very
- 53:35stupid title. It's not like an actual scary
- 53:38movie. It's something like Attack of
- 53:42the Broccoli. Iffy.
- 53:44I know you're listening. I'm sorry.
- 53:46I don't remember this. This Burt and Ernie story.
- 53:49I'm. I'm sorry.
- 53:50Iffy. What is it, Mike?
- 53:54It's called Ghosties. You know, that feels like it
- 53:58could be a horror movie from the the 80s.
- 54:02Yeah, you know it it there might be a movie called Ghosties.
- 54:06Not that far from Ghoulies, you know, I do have to say today my
- 54:12Amazon stick recommended that I watch Ouija Shark, a movie about
- 54:17a ghost shark who is summoned via piece of driftwood that has
- 54:23a Ouija board on it. And folks, I'm sure I will have
- 54:27watched Ouija Shark by the time this episode reaches your ears.
- 54:32I want to go watch Ouija Shark now.
- 54:36Anyway, Mike, You also get 15 points for that, meaning that it
- 54:40is still a very close game, still with a difference of six
- 54:43points, Jared at 79 points and Mike with 85 points.
- 54:50And that brings us to our final round.
- 54:53It's time for our final high stakes competition.
- 54:57Say the word. In this round you can wager any
- 55:01amount of points. The winner gets the points.
- 55:05The loser loses that, unlike on Final Jeopardy, you will hear
- 55:10the question before you wager again.
- 55:13Jared, you have 79 points. Mike, you have 85 points.
- 55:20All right, now here's your scary question.
- 55:23One of the earliest Count Von Count songs was the Transylvania
- 55:29Polka. In this spooky number, the Count
- 55:32begins with a mostly spoken introduction, explaining that
- 55:36his song is the favorite of all sorts of monsters, even Doctor
- 55:41Frankenstein. He finishes the introduction by
- 55:44telling an actual famous singer to eat his heart out.
- 55:50One famous singer, also of Central European descent, does
- 55:56the count taunt before singing the Transylvania poker Ah.
- 56:02This was on Silly Songs and I've heard it a billion times.
- 56:05Yeah, well, this is the thing. And this is something that, like
- 56:09I was listening to. It's on the Elmo Says Boo
- 56:11record, I believe, or record, I say, as if they released that on
- 56:15vinyl on the Elmo Says Boo CD. And I I was listening to it and
- 56:19I'm like, what did he just say? Ah, I'm.
- 56:27Don't know. I'm gonna be so upset when I
- 56:29hear this. The counts from Romania, right?
- 56:32Which is part of Central Europe. And this singer, while not born
- 56:36in Central Europe, comes from Central European descent.
- 56:40Ah, now, Jared, you've definitely heard this song.
- 56:47Mike, you've heard this song, right?
- 56:49I've heard this song OK. I was going to say this is this
- 56:52is one of the ones that was like on the 70s records and stuff.
- 56:55I don't even know if I have this person's name right, but here we
- 56:58go. So I will say both of you made
- 57:03very conservative bets. Almost like this is something
- 57:07that weirdly isn't even on Muppet wiki.
- 57:11Someone needs to get on that, and that someone should be me.
- 57:14But I refuse to learn how to edit Muppet Wiki.
- 57:18That's got to change. Both of you made a very
- 57:22conservative bet also. Well, let's see if any either.
- 57:26If you are right, Jared, you bet one single point.
- 57:32Yeah. And I'm pretty sure I should
- 57:34have bet all of them, because I'm pretty sure this answer is
- 57:36correct. Yeah.
- 57:36Who'd you bet? Keith Urban.
- 57:39Yeah. Keith Urban.
- 57:40Yeah. Hometown boy.
- 57:42Hometown boy. Done.
- 57:43Good for you, Jared. Yeah, yeah.
- 57:46It is not Keith Urban. What?
- 57:49Who is of course from Australia. Not, not.
- 57:54I don't know. Is he of Central European
- 57:55descent now? Who knows?
- 57:58Urban feels like a Romanian name.
- 58:00Yes, sure, exactly. It is not Keith Urban.
- 58:03So however, you only lose one point, Mike.
- 58:08You bet Five points, Mike. Who did you?
- 58:12Who did you? Who did you guess?
- 58:14I guessed Frankie Yankovic and I don't even know if he sang
- 58:18anything or just played the accordion.
- 58:20I don't know enough about Frankie Yankovic or if he's from
- 58:26where where he's from, but that is also not correct.
- 58:29You also lose your points. Lose five points.
- 58:34The correct answer? Eat your heart out, Bobby
- 58:39Vinton. Bobby Winton eat your hot dog.
- 58:43He was, of course, popularly known as the Polish Prince.
- 58:50Weirdly enough, Bobby Vinton still alive.
- 58:54Really. Yeah, and goes by the name Keith
- 58:56Urban. Yeah, And and he goes by the
- 59:01name Keith Urban now. Exactly.
- 59:03Looks fantastic now. So again, what a close game.
- 59:11A difference of literally two points.
- 59:14Coming down to that. Transylvania Polka, 78 points.
- 59:19Jared, 80 points. Mike.
- 59:21So Mike wins by two. That is I think the closest
- 59:27we've ever had a game on this on this show.
- 59:31So I do want to thank you. Thank you both.
- 59:33So our winner and today's toughest pig is Mike Westfall.
- 59:40Mike, congratulations. You win either your choice of
- 59:45some screech cobbler or this tiny, tiny portrait I made of
- 59:53it's shiny. I'm sorry.
- 59:55It's in a sleeve. This tiny, tiny, tiny tiny
- 59:58portrait I made of count on count.
- 1:00:00I love it. I will take the portrait because
- 1:00:02I am allergic to screeches. Aren't we all?
- 1:00:07Yeah, And. And listen, listen, I do have to
- 1:00:10say selfishly, and I know Jared is my boss, but I'm glad I don't
- 1:00:14need to navigate the international post system to get
- 1:00:17this to Jared. Well done?
- 1:00:20Yes, that. That's the spikiest thing of
- 1:00:21all. I I already need to send a
- 1:00:24wedding invitation to a friend of mine in Canada, and I have
- 1:00:28been putting that off, and that's hard enough.
- 1:00:31That's far enough. Exactly.
- 1:00:32That's hard enough. But yeah, I guess that too.
- 1:00:36And that brings us to the end of another one.
- 1:00:38So guests, where can people find you if you wish to be found?
- 1:00:42Let's start with Jared. Jared, where can we find you if
- 1:00:45you wish to be found? Well, you can find me on
- 1:00:47toughpigs.com and you can find me on Twitter, which is

- 1:01:00sure. Yeah.
- 1:01:02And I should, I should say, you know, to introduce our guest
- 1:01:06star. There's some great episodes of
- 1:01:08that that are still available, and you should definitely check
- 1:01:12it out. And by you, I don't mean Jared.
- 1:01:14Jared. You know what, Jared, You should
- 1:01:16check it out. I don't know if you've listened.
- 1:01:18I'm not a fan of the American host in it.
- 1:01:21Oh yeah, No. What's his name?
- 1:01:23What's his name? Jello, Jello.
- 1:01:27Yeah. Davey and Joey.
- 1:01:30Monkey, I believe. I believe is their name.
- 1:01:34And Mike, where can we find you? If you wish to be found sure,
- 1:01:39you can find me personally via link tree.com/mike Westfall.

- 1:01:54TV holiday specials called The Advent Calendar House.
- 1:01:56It is located conveniently at adventcalendar dot house.
- 1:02:02And like we said, you know, Anthony Strand and I were on an
- 1:02:05episode talking about Elmo Saves Christmas, and then Anthony came
- 1:02:08back to talk about The Flintstones Christmas Carol,
- 1:02:11which I have to say sounds like it was much better than I always
- 1:02:15imagined it being whenever he mentioned it during full season
- 1:02:20of Moving right Along. And you've done other Muppet
- 1:02:23specials on there as well. And I'm definitely going to keep
- 1:02:27nagging you until I'm on for another Muppet special.
- 1:02:32I'd love to have. I'd love to have both of you.
- 1:02:34Yeah, no, it's it's great. It's it's it's a good show.
- 1:02:38It's fun. And of course, you can find me
- 1:02:41at toughpigs.com, the only website that isn't caving in on

- 1:02:51every episode. We survive 23 years, 22 years.

- 1:03:31which include a Havawa tshirt and a shirt I designed inspired
- 1:03:35by Monster at the end of this book and some pride stuff still
- 1:03:39and bunch of cool things. Muppets take Muppets take
- 1:03:43Manhattan themed shirts. I got another one that should be
- 1:03:46up soon, probably is up by the time this episode is posted.
- 1:03:50We'll get there, so check them out on our Tough Pigs T public
- 1:03:54page. And if you want to find me
- 1:03:57directly not on Tough Pigs, I'm on Twitter at Uncle Petunio.
- 1:04:02Again, that's Uncle like the kind of fraggle that would be a
- 1:04:05brave explorer. And then petunio is like the
- 1:04:08flower but with an O instead of an A.
- 1:04:11And I'm on all of the non Twitter social media platforms
- 1:04:15at tall girl Petunia. That is that time I spelled the
- 1:04:20flower correctly. Sure.
- 1:04:23I mean look, find me who knows what social media site is going
- 1:04:26to be good. By the time this is out, we
- 1:04:28could all be on ZORF, the social media site where we ZORF each
- 1:04:33other anyway. Well, I'd like to thank some
- 1:04:38other people for helping out. Of course, our guests.
- 1:04:41Thank you both. This was lovely.
- 1:04:44And Jared, again, thank you for for getting up early for us on

- 1:05:41My brother has ghosts in his attic.
- 1:05:45Sounds scary? Yeah, he's on the 10 most
- 1:05:48Haunted list.
