- 0:01Speaker 1: Here's your host, Alex Garrett.
- 0:06Speaker 2: All right, well, we haven't covered the Nancy Guthrie trial
- 0:08Speaker 2: in a while. By the way, a bit later today
- 0:12Speaker 2: I'll have Grant Francis on and he's former Saint Louis
- 0:15Speaker 2: blues radio guy and WRH hops his own alumnus and
- 0:21Speaker 2: a former Islander radio guy. He joined me on my
- 0:24Speaker 2: pod and we'll produce that interview for tonight.
- 0:30Speaker 1: But I have to give you this update.
- 0:32Speaker 2: Did you hear the insanity that this dumb sheriff, this
- 0:37Speaker 2: absolutely dumb sheriff from the hometown of Nancy Guthrie, p
- 0:49Speaker 2: Mac County is facing backlash today because the Pmac County
- 1:00Speaker 2: griff that's been stupidly handling this entire case, if you
- 1:04Speaker 2: ask me, told the department to share this update. Nancy
- 1:14Speaker 2: has been located. But you know, it's not about Nancy Guthrie.
- 1:21Speaker 2: It's not about Savannah Guthrie's mom. It's about Nancy Radikovich,
- 1:30Speaker 2: an eighty two year old who bears a striking resemblance
- 1:34Speaker 2: to the Today show host's.
- 1:37Speaker 1: Mom.
- 1:42Speaker 2: What is the sheriff of Pima County doing? First, he
- 1:47Speaker 2: closes down the investigation to two people aside from him
- 1:54Speaker 2: and now he has his sheriff, Chris Nano by the way,
- 2:01Speaker 2: has his social media team post something saying Nancy's been located.
- 2:06Speaker 1: But it's not Nancy Guthrie.
- 2:11Speaker 2: This Pima County sheriff somehow needs to resign, needs to resign.
- 2:22Speaker 1: Or be removed. He's handled this case like crap.
- 2:29Speaker 2: Someone wrote, I swear to God this Twitter account is
- 2:31Speaker 2: run by mister Magoo. Another user pointed out that in
- 2:35Speaker 2: previous missing person post Pima County and use the person's
- 2:38Speaker 2: surname in the text, we could say Pema County sheriff
- 2:44Speaker 2: Department knew they were doing by doing this.
- 2:48Speaker 1: But it's not funny.
- 2:51Speaker 2: It's not funny the Guthrie family, to those involved with
- 2:54Speaker 2: trying to find this woman. It's not funny to the
- 2:56Speaker 2: nation who's been still trying to figure out answers for
- 3:00Speaker 2: this disappearance and maybe abduction as they're dealing with a
- 3:13Speaker 2: privatize lab, not the FBI.
- 3:15Speaker 1: Very strange.
- 3:16Speaker 2: What is Chris Nanos trying to hide? What does he
- 3:18Speaker 2: know that he's shut down. He's shut down the investigation to.
- 3:23Speaker 1: Two people and now this bull crap.
- 3:29Speaker 2: I'm fired up about this because it's not right to
- 3:31Speaker 2: the Guthrie family. It's not right to anybody, any family,
- 3:39Speaker 2: even probably the family of Nancy Radakovich. It's not fair
- 3:42Speaker 2: to them either. It's tone deaf, it's stupid, it's par
- 3:52Speaker 2: for the course for this bumbling Pima County Sheriff. And
- 3:58Speaker 2: I wish there was a way to remove him from
- 4:00Speaker 2: office and have him resign for his incompetence in this case,
- 4:07Speaker 2: for his incompetence in this case. But the one story
- 4:11Speaker 2: I am focusing on in addition to this, I had
- 4:13Speaker 2: to just get this out there, get that out there,
- 4:16Speaker 2: is the fact that doormen across New York City are
- 4:20Speaker 2: about to go on strike.
- 4:22Speaker 1: Now we have dorman downstairs where I work, and they
- 4:27Speaker 1: are amazing doormen and women.
- 4:33Speaker 2: But this last happened in nineteen ninety one. Interesting enough,
- 4:41Speaker 2: I was born in ninety one. I came home to
- 4:44Speaker 2: East forty fourth Street in ninety two January ninety two,
- 4:48Speaker 2: where we.
- 4:49Speaker 1: Had a great doorman, Bob.
- 4:50Speaker 2: We got to know all the doormen of East forty
- 4:52Speaker 2: fourth Street.
- 4:55Speaker 1: For the safe that I won't mention the address.
- 4:58Speaker 2: But when I was a kid in the city, a
- 5:00Speaker 2: great doorman and we had to deal with the un
- 5:03Speaker 2: general assembly, and you know they went through a lot.
- 5:06Speaker 1: They go through a lot.
- 5:09Speaker 2: But you would think the building owners would want to
- 5:11Speaker 2: pay the doorman after after what happened in July of
- 5:16Speaker 2: twenty five with that shooting on Park Avenue where the
- 5:21Speaker 2: guys walked in the building and shot up the place.
- 5:27Speaker 2: Dormant on the first line of defense for any building,
- 5:33Speaker 2: residential corporate, they need to.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Be commensated fairly. And now.
- 5:49Speaker 2: On April twentieth, the contract covering thirty four thousand residential
- 5:54Speaker 2: building workers expires. That's the doorman, the porters, intendants, the
- 6:00Speaker 2: handy people, resident managers. The union three thirty two BJSAIU
- 6:11Speaker 2: and the Realty Advisory Board on labor Relations have been
- 6:15Speaker 2: locked in negotiations that have been less than promising. The
- 6:20Speaker 2: union is demanding wage increases to keep pace with inflation,
- 6:24Speaker 2: stronger pension benefits, and the preservation of full employer paid
- 6:28Speaker 2: health care, a hard line from which they say they
- 6:32Speaker 2: will not back away. A strike vote passed on Wednesday
- 6:48Speaker 2: and thirty four thousand residential building workers going on strike
- 7:01Speaker 2: across the city. Building Owners ADVI I was re born
- 7:06Speaker 2: on real labor relations.
- 7:08Speaker 1: Support the doorman, support the hard work they do.
- 7:12Speaker 2: And everything they give to our city's buildings and protecting
- 7:17Speaker 2: all of us.
- 7:19Speaker 1: No, I gotta also say, my dad.
- 7:25Speaker 2: And my mom, we're always busy, and sometimes the bus
- 7:30Speaker 2: would have to leave me with.
- 7:33Speaker 1: My dad to pick me up with the doorman.
- 7:35Speaker 2: And we miss him today, Jesus, We miss hazus so
- 7:39Speaker 2: damn much.
- 7:43Speaker 1: How he died is something I don't even want to
- 7:45Speaker 1: talk about right now. But but he was always.
- 8:04Speaker 2: Protective of my family and I and protective of me.
- 8:08Speaker 2: And I could always sit there and wait at ease.
- 8:10Speaker 1: Four fourth Street in the Beaux Arts buildings.
- 8:14Speaker 2: For my dad to come back from work. And yeah,
- 8:21Speaker 2: so I have a deep appreciation for the dorman of
- 8:24Speaker 2: the city. I love our guys downstairs where I work.
- 8:27Speaker 1: They're awesome people. They're great to talk to.
- 8:35Speaker 2: So here in New York, months after that horrific shooting
- 8:41Speaker 2: in Park Avenue, do not let these dormen go on strike.
- 8:50Speaker 2: Find a deal, pay them what they deserve. Look, I know, mom,
- 8:56Speaker 2: Donnie stood with the workers, and he'll always do that.
- 9:00Speaker 1: But he's not wrong in this regard. The dormant of
- 9:09Speaker 1: our city keep us going.
- 9:12Speaker 2: They are always there, always attentive, always helpful, and always
- 9:17Speaker 2: keeping us secure in the building we work at.
- 9:21Speaker 1: I can't even go upstairs with that presenting an idea.
- 9:23Speaker 1: That's how strict they are here.
- 9:27Speaker 2: So to the thirty four thousand that our play on
- 9:29Speaker 2: going on strike, I hope you get the deal you
- 9:32Speaker 2: want sooner than later before April twentieth.
- 9:35Speaker 1: I really do.
- 9:38Speaker 2: And that's Monday, by the way, I really do, because
- 9:43Speaker 2: we cannot have.
- 9:46Speaker 1: A dormant in less city. And they say that's also saying, hey, the.
- 9:51Speaker 2: Mentally health can just roam around and go to places
- 9:54Speaker 2: and disturb the peace.
- 9:56Speaker 1: Now imagine there's no.
- 9:57Speaker 2: Dormant boy, well, those homeless things, they can go right
- 10:03Speaker 2: on in and cause mayhem and whatever.
- 10:07Speaker 1: And we shouldn't want that either. We shouldn't want that either.
- 10:13Speaker 1: But that could be the chaos if the doorman go
- 10:16Speaker 1: on strike. This is not just.
- 10:18Speaker 2: A living wage thing. This is a security issue because
- 10:24Speaker 2: the doormen are our first defense.
- 10:27Speaker 1: So let's their defend their.
- 10:28Speaker 3: Right to have a good life and work hard and
- 10:33Speaker 3: be rewarded for their hard work keeping our city safe
- 10:37Speaker 3: and our city going.
- 10:41Speaker 1: That's my message at one leg of alex Media
