- 0:00Speaker 1: It feels every time I touch myself, I feel weird
- 0:04Speaker 1: because I'm weird.
- 0:05Speaker 2: But then I come.
- 0:11Speaker 1: That far.
- 0:15Speaker 2: Mexico.
- 0:18Speaker 1: Do we have a safer when we travel? Should we
- 0:24Speaker 1: come up for what? Like I say, like one of
- 0:27Speaker 1: us is like like say say one of us, Like
- 0:30Speaker 1: I say, say where outside getting high because it's a
- 0:33Speaker 1: possibility that could happen in Colorado while we're actually out
- 0:35Speaker 1: of age and I start getting kidnapped. But they're very
- 0:41Speaker 1: like because I'm little, because I'm vulnerable, and I'm the
- 0:44Speaker 1: one that would get kidnapped. But say that happens, But
- 0:50Speaker 1: they're trying to be like trying to be nonchalant about
- 0:53Speaker 1: it and ship. But so we gotta, like, I gotta,
- 0:56Speaker 1: I gotta come up with a word in the middle
- 0:57Speaker 1: of like a conversation we're having it as I'm walking
- 0:59Speaker 1: away with this person.
- 1:00Speaker 2: Okay, So if you're in the middle of a conversation with.
- 1:02Speaker 3: A stranger and you're feeling anxious, just just call me over,
- 1:09Speaker 3: say hey, Aaron, this gentleman really wants to talk to you.
- 1:13Speaker 2: I'm gonna take.
- 1:14Speaker 1: Off bye, sweet, And.
- 1:16Speaker 2: So now I'm stuck talking to this person.
- 1:18Speaker 4: You are free, and then what do you do I'm fucked.
- 1:24Speaker 4: This is how it works. This is how it always.
- 1:28Speaker 4: I guess I get trapped by this every single time.
- 1:33Speaker 1: You don't think you'd be like everything, come on over here,
- 1:38Speaker 1: things better.
- 1:40Speaker 2: Algie just turns to me and gives me.
- 1:43Speaker 5: I like, no, I need to go wash my hair,
- 1:47Speaker 5: breathe over.
- 1:48Speaker 1: There was.
- 1:55Speaker 5: Some oxygen.
- 1:56Speaker 2: I'm gonna go to the store. I'll be back.
- 1:58Speaker 1: I like how I'm worried about like safe words now
- 2:01Speaker 1: and then not like when we were in Vegas.
- 2:04Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, Vegas would have been. But I mean, honestly,
- 2:09Speaker 2: help if you're being kidnapped, help a good one. I
- 2:14Speaker 2: would start there.
- 2:15Speaker 6: Help if you're in I'm being kidd sat.
- 2:21Speaker 2: Yeah, you'd like text it to us so that we
- 2:23Speaker 2: could text you back. Hey, we need you to get
- 2:26Speaker 2: back in here. We need you immediately. Could you come
- 2:28Speaker 2: back to Banana.
- 2:30Speaker 1: Yeah, we need you to come back to Banana.
- 2:32Speaker 5: So pronto?
- 2:34Speaker 1: What fruit is pronto?
- 2:37Speaker 6: You say, if you're being abducted and you need to
- 2:40Speaker 6: text us, you say, I need you to come back pronto?
- 2:42Speaker 1: Oh okay cool?
- 2:47Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 2:49Speaker 5: Or we say, hey, guys, I'm texting you while I'm
- 2:52Speaker 5: being abducted.
- 2:52Speaker 2: This is really weird.
- 2:55Speaker 1: They then keep my phone. They said, can't quiet yet.
- 2:58Speaker 1: They know I narrate everything in.
- 3:01Speaker 5: The trunk, but they left like a bag of chips
- 3:03Speaker 5: with those fools.
- 3:04Speaker 1: Imbody eat all these chips.
- 3:07Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, good?
- 3:09Speaker 1: Why Yes, we are just.
- 3:10Speaker 2: Making sure I was a little concerned. No, don't worry.
- 3:13Speaker 5: The AI is listening in on us.
- 3:15Speaker 1: Oh god is it? Don't. Yeah, so we're clear in
- 3:24Speaker 1: your motherboard. She's a good that's gonna help us.
- 3:30Speaker 6: So occasionally he'll occasionally he'll do like the AI summary thing,
- 3:36Speaker 6: because it does offer a pretty interesting.
- 3:40Speaker 2: It does offer offer like an interesting.
- 3:42Speaker 6: Synopsis of like everything that goes on and whatever, but
- 3:45Speaker 6: like it is always kind of funny. Whenever we like
- 3:47Speaker 6: talk ship about the AI, I'm like, I wonder what
- 3:49Speaker 6: they I have to say about that.
- 3:51Speaker 1: It's all sad.
- 3:53Speaker 2: I hate them and they're big meat. I hope their
- 3:57Speaker 2: show fails.
- 3:58Speaker 1: And I'm not gonna push your algorithm because my buddy's Google.
- 4:04Speaker 2: Yeah, tell them you know what.
- 4:06Speaker 1: No, don't even don't even don't you don't even share
- 4:09Speaker 1: their star? Yeah block b F y t W. Don't
- 4:13Speaker 1: you look it up? No one could happen, could happen?
- 4:19Speaker 2: I suppose what are we doing.
- 4:22Speaker 1: I don't fucking know.
- 4:24Speaker 2: I'm just welcome to b fy T. Yeah, we're here episode.
- 4:30Speaker 2: Yes it is a chill show. But we are two
- 4:35Speaker 2: episodes away from three hondo.
- 4:40Speaker 1: What's gonna happen?
- 4:42Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 4:43Speaker 1: Do we retire after this? Are we done? Keep going?
- 4:47Speaker 1: I mean, do we try to break more records in
- 4:49Speaker 1: the world.
- 4:49Speaker 2: I don't have the inclination to stop.
- 4:53Speaker 1: Yah.
- 4:54Speaker 2: Having said that, there is something for going out on.
- 4:57Speaker 1: Top, you're not on bottom?
- 5:00Speaker 2: Yes, correct, that's exactly how that works. We need to
- 5:05Speaker 2: make the way for new and upcoming shows like Mashed Potatoes.
- 5:08Speaker 1: Oh, that's true, the Mash Potatoes. I heard that ship's
- 5:10Speaker 1: crazy enough the chain listen to one or two episodes? Yeah,
- 5:21Speaker 1: or that I was on all he was on one
- 5:23Speaker 1: or two episodes. He's not a fan.
- 5:33Speaker 5: It's it's not funny like he is in b f Y.
- 5:36Speaker 5: He gets way too political and talks about ship.
- 5:38Speaker 1: That like real, Yeah, what the fun where's the funny? Doggy?
- 5:44Speaker 6: Why is this dude all serious and like talks like
- 5:47Speaker 6: adult stuff.
- 5:50Speaker 1: You should have another alter ego for freaking that show. Yeah,
- 5:54Speaker 1: it's me, it's the alter ego. It's really me this
- 5:58Speaker 1: time and around this entire time. It's but no, no,
- 6:02Speaker 1: we're here a fucking around.
- 6:03Speaker 2: Yeah they are here.
- 6:04Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, we're fucking around days and find out. Oh sure,
- 6:07Speaker 1: we're gonna find out things.
- 6:08Speaker 2: Yeah, we're gonna find out things about each other.
- 6:11Speaker 5: That's adorable.
- 6:12Speaker 2: We're gonna suck around and then we're gonna find out
- 6:14Speaker 2: things about it.
- 6:15Speaker 1: Yeah, let's find out.
- 6:18Speaker 2: If you can't tell by now, it's gonna be a children.
- 6:20Speaker 1: Yeah we are.
- 6:23Speaker 2: We are exhausted already, and we have a momentous occasion
- 6:28Speaker 2: coming up. We are literally recording this the weekend before
- 6:32Speaker 2: we leave, so by the time you actually hear this,
- 6:36Speaker 2: we will have already done it. Yeah, you will have
- 6:39Speaker 2: already done the show and performed it live in Colorado Springs.
- 6:43Speaker 5: It's gonna be fun coming back from that.
- 6:45Speaker 1: Yeah, Oh my god.
- 6:48Speaker 2: Coming back from that, it's gonna be It's gonna be
- 6:50Speaker 2: a calm down, thank god. I always take an extra
- 6:53Speaker 2: day of vacation when I come back. Yep, that is
- 6:56Speaker 2: a habit I will never break because it is so
- 6:58Speaker 2: nice and so useful to have that necessary that day
- 7:01Speaker 2: of readjustment, because every time I try to go immediately
- 7:04Speaker 2: back to work, I am fucked. And I don't just
- 7:07Speaker 2: mean by the pile of work left on my desk, wipe,
- 7:12Speaker 2: monumental pile of bullshit I'll have to deal with when
- 7:14Speaker 2: I get back. But also like just just like readjusting
- 7:22Speaker 2: your body to like being home, like because you, especially
- 7:27Speaker 2: when crossing time zones like you get you get adjusted
- 7:31Speaker 2: to the way things were. So having that extra day
- 7:34Speaker 2: to reset your equilibrium and reset your sleep schedule and
- 7:37Speaker 2: all that stuff is really useful.
- 7:40Speaker 1: It makes a difference.
- 7:41Speaker 2: It really does, really does. So I'm grateful I'm doing that.
- 7:44Speaker 1: Well, yeah, me too, I'm doing the same exact thing.
- 7:46Speaker 1: Like I I'm worried because I'm leaving the kitchen with
- 7:52Speaker 1: somebody i've been training who's been semi reliable. Oh boys
- 7:58Speaker 1: showed up late twice, and I'm like, you can't show
- 8:02Speaker 1: up late if you're taking over for me and then
- 8:06Speaker 1: doesn't have great time management as of yet. But I'm
- 8:09Speaker 1: hopeful because the last day she was doing great, So
- 8:11Speaker 1: I'm really hoping everything will be good.
- 8:13Speaker 2: Okay, So I'm.
- 8:14Speaker 1: Like, all right, and I know the paperwork like whatever,
- 8:16Speaker 1: I can do all the paperwork when I get back.
- 8:18Speaker 1: That doesn't bother me. But I'm just like, Okay, just
- 8:21Speaker 1: make sure everything's cooked to the right temperature and make
- 8:24Speaker 1: sure everybody's fed it. That's all I care about. I'll
- 8:26Speaker 1: deal with whatever the funck happens when I get back.
- 8:29Speaker 1: And I'm like, I took Monday off as well, and
- 8:31Speaker 1: I was just thinking, I tell my boss, like, if
- 8:34Speaker 1: it gets that bad or something will like bad happens.
- 8:35Speaker 1: So I come in Monday morning and I'm like, no,
- 8:38Speaker 1: I probably shouldn't, but now worried maybe I should.
- 8:42Speaker 2: I'm like, no, I don't do it.
- 8:43Speaker 1: Don't do it. So I'm taking Monday off. I'm not.
- 8:45Speaker 1: Just like, I'm not even taking my phone with us,
- 8:48Speaker 1: so nobody can even contact me while we're gone.
- 8:51Speaker 2: That's scary.
- 8:52Speaker 1: Not really. I'm getting a special phone just for this trip,
- 8:54Speaker 1: so a few people will have the number, the people
- 8:57Speaker 1: who were on the trip with obviously we'll have the number,
- 8:59Speaker 1: and then the family here. That's pretty much it. So
- 9:02Speaker 1: work is unable to contact me whatsoever anyway.
- 9:05Speaker 2: Oh fuck, that's really smart.
- 9:07Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 9:08Speaker 1: Well, I got a special phone just for that ship,
- 9:11Speaker 1: and it's on the active of thirty days. That's the
- 9:13Speaker 1: best man. Yeah, yeah, I'll take all the pigeon all
- 9:16Speaker 1: this ship.
- 9:17Speaker 2: I kind of wish I thought of that, so good
- 9:19Speaker 2: as it is. As it is, I'm just gonna have
- 9:21Speaker 2: to ignore every time I work.
- 9:23Speaker 6: Do not disturb on those Just turn off the ring top.
- 9:27Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, vibrate can't reach We're far away. Just check
- 9:31Speaker 1: your phone every half hour. Yeah, it's all.
- 9:32Speaker 5: Don't see anything important about it.
- 9:35Speaker 2: Yep.
- 9:35Speaker 1: I'm not even bringing a smart watch or any of
- 9:37Speaker 1: that ship with me.
- 9:39Speaker 2: Yep.
- 9:40Speaker 1: It's gonna be fucking disconnected. It's gonna be a vacation.
- 9:43Speaker 1: I know we're working, but it's gonna be an actual vacation.
- 9:46Speaker 1: The disconnect is gonna be nice, oh happy.
- 9:48Speaker 6: Yes, yeah, I've already I've already been on vacation, so
- 9:52Speaker 6: this is more like a work vacation.
- 9:55Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 9:57Speaker 1: Yeah, it is.
- 9:58Speaker 5: Between you know, doing the show and all that. I'm
- 10:01Speaker 5: also going to be wrangling this guy.
- 10:03Speaker 1: The entire time. Yeah, he's my handler.
- 10:07Speaker 6: That's what it is, My unofficial duty to also know
- 10:10Speaker 6: where the fuck we are and where we're going at
- 10:11Speaker 6: all times.
- 10:12Speaker 5: Yes, because we will get lost otherwise.
- 10:14Speaker 1: And already pre downloaded the maps for their area, the
- 10:18Speaker 1: whole area of that part.
- 10:19Speaker 6: I'll have physical maps when I get there.
- 10:21Speaker 1: Yeah. So we'll have that as well, but weed maps
- 10:24Speaker 1: that might be on the phone. I already know where
- 10:27Speaker 1: the place that says responsibility.
- 10:29Speaker 6: I have my responsibility just to make sure we get
- 10:31Speaker 6: from there airport B and B B and B show
- 10:35Speaker 6: show back to being back to airport at some point.
- 10:40Speaker 1: That's Doggie's job. That's why he that's why he gets
- 10:42Speaker 1: paid the big books. We need to get you a
- 10:45Speaker 1: handler too, and that will be all set. We need another.
- 10:48Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I don't know anybody who I want to
- 10:51Speaker 2: stick with that job. That poor soul.
- 10:52Speaker 1: I know. That's why I just feel bad.
- 10:54Speaker 2: I just wouldn't do it. I would be I'm gonna
- 10:58Speaker 2: have to continue going without a handler because us that's
- 11:01Speaker 2: a fate worse than honestly Jesus Christ. They would quit
- 11:08Speaker 2: so fast, and by the time I found one that wouldn't,
- 11:12Speaker 2: I would just feel so bad. I'm like, dude, the
- 11:16Speaker 2: mess that is my life is my home. No, I
- 11:21Speaker 2: wouldn't inflict that on anyone.
- 11:23Speaker 1: So you're a service, hire a service.
- 11:28Speaker 2: Yeah, there we go.
- 11:29Speaker 1: He'd be my handle over fucking what was it called?
- 11:32Speaker 2: I accidentally like at one point I was legitimately looking
- 11:36Speaker 2: for like trying to find like a person or a
- 11:40Speaker 2: business or a company or like a fiber thing. It
- 11:43Speaker 2: would just come and clean my house for me. Oh yeah,
- 11:45Speaker 2: just clean at least the kitchen in the bathroom, Like
- 11:48Speaker 2: that's the major areas that needs some work. But I
- 11:52Speaker 2: don't have the I physically can't really do it anymore.
- 11:55Speaker 2: And I'm like, so I'm looking into it, and I
- 12:00Speaker 2: I went to one website. They hounded me with phone
- 12:04Speaker 2: calls for two fucking months. Are phone calls and texts?
- 12:08Speaker 2: They texted?
- 12:10Speaker 1: Uh?
- 12:10Speaker 2: And uh yeah, that was that was a massive mistake.
- 12:14Speaker 2: I was like, holy shit, No, no, creepy stalker company. No,
- 12:18Speaker 2: absolutely not. No circumstances would I allow anyone from your
- 12:23Speaker 2: company into my home. No, that is that is not
- 12:27Speaker 2: how you want to be if you if you want,
- 12:29Speaker 2: if you want to get business for for coming into
- 12:32Speaker 2: people's homes, you cannot be that aggressive. Jesus Christ insane.
- 12:39Speaker 1: Yeah, oh god damn. But yeah, there's got to be something.
- 12:43Speaker 2: I'm still looking. It has become less urgent at the
- 12:48Speaker 2: time it was when I was still quote unquote dating.
- 12:51Speaker 2: Oh yeah, but that's off the table now. So I'm
- 12:53Speaker 2: like kind of don't care. Should probably still get.
- 12:59Speaker 1: It done after Christmas.
- 13:01Speaker 2: After Christmas, maybe maybe when I have some extra money,
- 13:05Speaker 2: if if I ever have extra money again.
- 13:08Speaker 1: Ever almost have any extra money ever again.
- 13:12Speaker 2: Really really hoping shit comes together.
- 13:15Speaker 1: Really it'll happen, man, it'll have it.
- 13:17Speaker 2: I'm like please anyway. So yeah, Generally speaking, on a
- 13:23Speaker 2: chill show, we just sit and talk about whatever, talking
- 13:26Speaker 2: about what we've been up to, what we've been doing lately.
- 13:29Speaker 2: Obviously for us, a lot of it has been preparations
- 13:31Speaker 2: for episode three hundred. I know I've got the entire
- 13:37Speaker 2: show lined up backwards and forwards. I have multiple copies
- 13:42Speaker 2: of it. There are copies here at the at the offices,
- 13:47Speaker 2: so to speak, in the shed anyway, I've got copies
- 13:52Speaker 2: at home. I've got copies on the cloud. I've even
- 13:54Speaker 2: got an online version that we can straight up run
- 13:57Speaker 2: from a browser if we have to. Just so many,
- 14:00Speaker 2: so many possible things that could go wrong covered. It's like,
- 14:05Speaker 2: because I want to be absolutely certain, right, because I
- 14:09Speaker 2: have a genuine fear of all of this stuff happening.
- 14:12Speaker 2: Because it tends to happen when you're not ready for it.
- 14:14Speaker 2: Of course, so if you're ready for it, it's not
- 14:16Speaker 2: gonna happen. It's not gonna be any problem, not gonna
- 14:19Speaker 2: be any problem at all. We're gonna get there, everything's
- 14:21Speaker 2: gonna work fine first time, and we'll be like, what
- 14:24Speaker 2: do we make all these preparations for it? Well, just
- 14:25Speaker 2: in case this didn't happen.
- 14:27Speaker 1: It's true, it is better. Like I'm bringing four different
- 14:29Speaker 1: recording devices, like I'm fucking taking chances with this shit.
- 14:33Speaker 2: I have the entire show lined out in notes in
- 14:37Speaker 2: a notebook that I'm bringing with me, but I also
- 14:40Speaker 2: took pictures of each individual page and put them online
- 14:44Speaker 2: so that I could access them if I need to.
- 14:46Speaker 2: Like the stuff that you wouldn't think to back up,
- 14:49Speaker 2: I have backed up, like everything everything. I have the
- 14:55Speaker 2: live tasks, you know, I actually have Task Master envelopes
- 14:59Speaker 2: made for them. Yeah, but I have backups for those.
- 15:05Speaker 2: I have printed out just just simple sheets of paper
- 15:09Speaker 2: with the task on them. If we for some reason,
- 15:12Speaker 2: my luggage got lost or some shit happened, I still
- 15:15Speaker 2: have the live task for people to read out before
- 15:19Speaker 2: they do them on stage in Colorado, like I have
- 15:23Speaker 2: I have. I have just so many contingents. I don't
- 15:26Speaker 2: think I've ever prepared so many contingencies. And part of
- 15:30Speaker 2: the reason I think is because like, and I'm not
- 15:33Speaker 2: I'm not saying this to toot my own horn, but like,
- 15:36Speaker 2: the timing of everything was perfect. I finished editing well
- 15:40Speaker 2: on time, everybody got their stuff in well on time.
- 15:46Speaker 2: Were worried about like I had extra time in case
- 15:49Speaker 2: anything went wrong there, but it didn't, So now I'm
- 15:53Speaker 2: using that extra time to cover anything that could go
- 15:56Speaker 2: wrong the future. It's crazy, but I've never done anything
- 16:01Speaker 2: this big before, with the exception of writing probably my books,
- 16:06Speaker 2: which take a roughly at this rate a year and
- 16:09Speaker 2: a half to do. But that's mostly because I keep
- 16:12Speaker 2: getting sidetracked.
- 16:13Speaker 1: Without the things.
- 16:15Speaker 2: Audiobook got in the way of Rika, and now this
- 16:17Speaker 2: is getting in the way of book number three, so
- 16:20Speaker 2: it is taking some time away from that sort of thing.
- 16:23Speaker 2: But otherwise, like the commitment, the amount of things I
- 16:27Speaker 2: had to get lined up is very similar. But this
- 16:30Speaker 2: in a way is even bigger than that because it
- 16:32Speaker 2: involves the first time other people. So yeah, it's that
- 16:37Speaker 2: is where it gets scary, because I don't I don't
- 16:39Speaker 2: know how to manage other people. But so far everybody's
- 16:42Speaker 2: been cool, which there's not been a problem.
- 16:44Speaker 1: So until we all get together in real life.
- 16:47Speaker 2: And we find out we all hate each other. Could
- 16:50Speaker 2: you imagine if we arrived and immediately pissed each other off, like,
- 16:56Speaker 2: oh shit, now we got to do this show with people.
- 16:59Speaker 1: You know what we're going to do. I'm recording everything.
- 17:02Speaker 1: We're gonna make a documentary about this instead, and I
- 17:05Speaker 1: would just use everything from the minute we land recorded
- 17:07Speaker 1: all the way time.
- 17:08Speaker 2: I know that won't happen. Matt and Ouder. If you're listening,
- 17:11Speaker 2: I know that's not gonna happen. In fact, if you're
- 17:13Speaker 2: listening to this, it will have already not happened.
- 17:16Speaker 1: Throws a shoe if I get hit it with a
- 17:19Speaker 1: fucking shoe, I swear to god, some shits listen.
- 17:23Speaker 2: We we were nervous about meeting Caroline, but that turned
- 17:26Speaker 2: out to be amazing. I was nervous about meeting everybody
- 17:29Speaker 2: in New Jersey. Oh that turned out to be incredible.
- 17:32Speaker 1: I don't worry about it.
- 17:33Speaker 2: And I love Matt and Audra. I love Jen. I've
- 17:36Speaker 2: only known her, done a couple of things about I
- 17:38Speaker 2: already love her. She's fantastic. You know everybody that we're about. Dave.
- 17:43Speaker 1: Of course, everybody years safe, so I'm.
- 17:46Speaker 2: Pretty sure everything will be fine.
- 17:48Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm looking forward to just hanging with everybody. Man.
- 17:53Speaker 2: Yeah, it's gonna be a blast, especially the day like Saturday,
- 17:57Speaker 2: the day we've chosen to just hang out and have
- 17:59Speaker 2: like a party at the.
- 17:59Speaker 1: Air Oh my gosh.
- 18:01Speaker 2: Yeah, I've got blood on the clock tower ready. I'm
- 18:04Speaker 2: probably gonna bring Flip seven because that's another great party game. Yeah.
- 18:07Speaker 1: Whatever you canna fit in your bag? Man. And it's
- 18:09Speaker 1: like I said, just check your thing. Make sure it's
- 18:10Speaker 1: not more than fifty pounds.
- 18:12Speaker 2: I mean, well the check bag shouldn't.
- 18:15Speaker 1: Be Yeah, that's say your check bag twic stures not
- 18:17Speaker 1: over fifty. Yeah, you should be good. Yeah, guess And
- 18:20Speaker 1: I'm doing I'm like.
- 18:20Speaker 2: It's literally gonna be like games, notebook, the task box
- 18:24Speaker 2: and oh shit, that's it. It's gonna be It's gonna
- 18:27Speaker 2: be fine. I'm not worried about it.
- 18:30Speaker 1: Oh man, I'm excited because like as soon as soon
- 18:34Speaker 1: as we're done here, like no joke, like we are done,
- 18:36Speaker 1: once the things are done, like recording, I'm literally just
- 18:40Speaker 1: gonna starting hooking ship literally.
- 18:43Speaker 2: Up completely take everything apart so we can pack it up. Ye,
- 18:47Speaker 2: bring an entire studio with him.
- 18:49Speaker 1: Everything I got most of it already in there that
- 18:51Speaker 1: we need the extra cables and stuff to Colorado. He's
- 18:53Speaker 1: gonna bring this bad boy right here. Yamaha, bring the
- 18:56Speaker 1: Yamaha in and then our our sterling mics are Mike's
- 19:00Speaker 1: already in there, ready to go.
- 19:02Speaker 2: I am excited, to very excite. Let's go over what
- 19:06Speaker 2: else I've been up to, because there isn't a lot.
- 19:09Speaker 2: But I told you guys the other I think one
- 19:11Speaker 2: of the other Chill Shops episodes or something like that.
- 19:13Speaker 2: I was playing Resident Evil and Dragon Quest three.
- 19:17Speaker 1: Right, remember the Dragon class.
- 19:18Speaker 2: Yeah, And because I've been so like, because I've got
- 19:22Speaker 2: so much done, like I actually can take some time
- 19:26Speaker 2: to relax, and so I have been spending it playing
- 19:29Speaker 2: Dragon Quest three. That is an absolutely perfect old school RPG.
- 19:36Speaker 2: Perfect This might be too strong a term. I mean, like,
- 19:41Speaker 2: I love this remake. It is so utterly charming and
- 19:49Speaker 2: so like they added a lot to it. I'm pretty
- 19:51Speaker 2: sure they rewrote. I mean, I'm pretty sure, I'm beyond
- 19:56Speaker 2: possitive they rewrote a lot of the stuff to make
- 20:00Speaker 2: get more because there are some of the things that
- 20:02Speaker 2: they do that I'm like, this wasn't any s game
- 20:05Speaker 2: back in the day they possibly maybe they couldn't know,
- 20:10Speaker 2: but it is such a cool RPG, and to think
- 20:14Speaker 2: that this was all it is huge. It is mammoth
- 20:17Speaker 2: to think that all of this, or at least most
- 20:19Speaker 2: of this was on an NES cartridge.
- 20:22Speaker 1: Which is in actuality, it wasn't a whole big thing.
- 20:25Speaker 1: The chip was actually like that.
- 20:26Speaker 2: Yeah, the ship was really but like it's massive. I
- 20:31Speaker 2: mean it must have been an And I know Dragon
- 20:34Speaker 2: Quest four was also on the NES, and I know
- 20:36Speaker 2: that's even bigger. Yeah, yeah, Like so it's just kind
- 20:40Speaker 2: of impressive what they they they learned with the first game,
- 20:44Speaker 2: and they're like, okay, we can We've got some tricks
- 20:46Speaker 2: that will allow us to do more. And that's basically
- 20:49Speaker 2: what they did with every console is like towards the
- 20:51Speaker 2: end of a console, you start seeing some really impressive
- 20:54Speaker 2: games that pushed the hell out of the hardware. And
- 20:57Speaker 2: I think that's one of the things this company was
- 20:58Speaker 2: doing when they made Dragon Quest three, was like, let's
- 21:01Speaker 2: see what we can get away with.
- 21:02Speaker 1: Why not. You're at the end of the system. Why
- 21:04Speaker 1: not because the next one, the next sesson of your
- 21:06Speaker 1: plane on is can be better than this anyway, So it's
- 21:08Speaker 1: like a.
- 21:08Speaker 2: Full party of four. You can decide what what jobs
- 21:12Speaker 2: they have, and you can even change their personalities, though
- 21:14Speaker 2: they come when you create them quote unquote in the tavern,
- 21:18Speaker 2: they come assigned with a personality, but you can always
- 21:20Speaker 2: use items to change their personality, and their personality determines
- 21:25Speaker 2: how they level up. So the Paragon is like the
- 21:29Speaker 2: the warrior class kind of and they they they their
- 21:33Speaker 2: strength and their defense will go up much higher than
- 21:36Speaker 2: their intelligence, wisdom and charisma and what have you. But
- 21:40Speaker 2: like the merchant class, if you want to go for
- 21:42Speaker 2: like you know, a sly slippery devil is one of
- 21:45Speaker 2: the personalities, they're more likely to get intelligence and charisma
- 21:50Speaker 2: and strength. So and aside from the personalities are their
- 21:54Speaker 2: actual jobs. The Warrior, Mage, Priest. There's an uber job
- 22:02Speaker 2: called Sage which gets all the best of both worlds
- 22:06Speaker 2: of white and Black magic. Oh okay, that you can
- 22:10Speaker 2: only get by making a character the worst possible class,
- 22:16Speaker 2: which is called a gad about, and leveling them up
- 22:19Speaker 2: to level twenty, which in a Dragon Warrior game is
- 22:22Speaker 2: a long fucking time.
- 22:23Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 22:25Speaker 2: So I did it just to see because I thought
- 22:27Speaker 2: it would be fun, and then by the time I
- 22:30Speaker 2: had them ready to level up and become a sage.
- 22:32Speaker 2: I had an item that could turn people into stages
- 22:35Speaker 2: all I could have had an actual useful party member.
- 22:40Speaker 2: The gad About only attacks when you tell them to
- 22:43Speaker 2: about half of the time.
- 22:44Speaker 1: Oh my god. Really.
- 22:46Speaker 2: The other half the time they do whatever the fuck
- 22:48Speaker 2: they want, and it's usually something like they stub their
- 22:51Speaker 2: toe and fall down and knock themselves unconscious. They are asleep,
- 22:54Speaker 2: now what a fuck? Or they get dizzy and they
- 22:58Speaker 2: are now paralyzed. They try to invent a spell on
- 23:02Speaker 2: the spot and it doesn't work, nothing happens, they just
- 23:06Speaker 2: sit there. So like half the time, the gat about
- 23:08Speaker 2: is useless. But the Gadabout also has abilities that no
- 23:11Speaker 2: other character has, so if you really want to have
- 23:14Speaker 2: every possible ability in the game, and that's the fun
- 23:17Speaker 2: part is because by that halfway point in the game,
- 23:19Speaker 2: you find the place that allows you to change jobs.
- 23:22Speaker 2: When you do so, their stats get halved roughly, and
- 23:26Speaker 2: they start back at level one, but they are now
- 23:29Speaker 2: the new job, but they keep all of their old
- 23:32Speaker 2: abilities from the old job. Okay, And by the time
- 23:36Speaker 2: you reach level twenty half your stats is around level
- 23:39Speaker 2: five or six. So the more you keep doing this,
- 23:43Speaker 2: like resetting to one and going back up to twenty
- 23:46Speaker 2: or higher. Ye, the higher your stats get, you could
- 23:50Speaker 2: literally grind out an absolute monster team with maxed out
- 23:55Speaker 2: stats if you wanted to. I'm sure, I'm sure there's
- 23:58Speaker 2: a limit. There's a limit to how high you can
- 24:01Speaker 2: get before you start seeing diminishing returns. But I have
- 24:05Speaker 2: changed my characters jobs I think two or three times
- 24:07Speaker 2: with most of them. The Sage, I left the Sage
- 24:10Speaker 2: once they became a Sage. They were the most powerful
- 24:12Speaker 2: character of my party. I'm like, you are just going
- 24:14Speaker 2: to stay that. I'm not going to reset you.
- 24:15Speaker 1: There's no reason I'm not going.
- 24:17Speaker 2: To reset you. You're staying exactly where you are. But
- 24:20Speaker 2: like you know, I had a priest with me for
- 24:22Speaker 2: a long time. I named them all after characters from
- 24:24Speaker 2: my books. Nice Marin, the Priest, the healer of.
- 24:28Speaker 1: Course, nurse.
- 24:34Speaker 2: Sorry, the horse Wrangler actually the monster Wrangler in the game.
- 24:41Speaker 2: I just had a lot of fun with this. It's
- 24:44Speaker 2: it's a very cool game. And the recent re release
- 24:47Speaker 2: of Dragon Quest three it's literally called two D h
- 24:51Speaker 2: D because it's because it's partially three D.
- 24:54Speaker 1: It just doesn't look like it. It looks like.
- 24:58Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's how it's drawn, but it actually
- 25:00Speaker 2: is in three D, which you will see when you
- 25:02Speaker 2: go to the world map or some of the better dungeons,
- 25:06Speaker 2: like and the dungeon design in this game holy shit,
- 25:10Speaker 2: like really good. Like when you get to like the
- 25:13Speaker 2: big quote unquote big Boss, the arch fiend, who you've
- 25:16Speaker 2: been targeting the whole time, his place is awesome because
- 25:19Speaker 2: it's like it's like a labyrinth, but at the same time,
- 25:22Speaker 2: it's this beautifully made up castle and it's all in
- 25:25Speaker 2: like dark purples, and there's like fire like magma channels
- 25:29Speaker 2: running this way and that and blocking you and forcing
- 25:32Speaker 2: you to find another way around.
- 25:33Speaker 1: Yea.
- 25:34Speaker 2: And normally I hate mazes, but when they're done this well,
- 25:39Speaker 2: and I'm having so much fun, and there's.
- 25:40Speaker 1: Also much it looks gorgeous.
- 25:43Speaker 2: There's also hidden items everywhere that you can find if you're.
- 25:45Speaker 1: Clever, so it's how horrible to go explore any.
- 25:49Speaker 2: Of course, you want to explore the whole place because
- 25:52Speaker 2: there's fun stuff to find everywhere, like they stacked this
- 25:55Speaker 2: game with stuff to find. You can get friendly monsters
- 25:59Speaker 2: and make them fight in an arena.
- 26:00Speaker 1: Oh my gosh.
- 26:01Speaker 2: Yes, But it's it's all it's all friendly. They make
- 26:05Speaker 2: sure to say it's all friendly. You know, they're distancing
- 26:07Speaker 2: themselves from Pokemon so bad. It's all friendly fighting there.
- 26:11Speaker 2: Nobody dies, none of the monsters died.
- 26:14Speaker 1: Wagers. It's okay, it's.
- 26:17Speaker 2: Effectively. So yeah, I've been having a fun. It's a
- 26:21Speaker 2: ton of fun with that. And I've been playing Resident
- 26:24Speaker 2: Evil three on a little handheld emulation game system in
- 26:28Speaker 2: my bathroom whenever I'm whenever I know i'm gonna be
- 26:31Speaker 2: in there for a while, I'm gonna spend some time
- 26:35Speaker 2: Evil three, and I just start playing away and I'm like,
- 26:38Speaker 2: life is good taking a ship and shooting zombies. So yeah,
- 26:45Speaker 2: so I am. I am keeping up on my game obligations,
- 26:48Speaker 2: as it were, and I will hopefully be being Dragon
- 26:51Speaker 2: Quest three soon. Like I said, I did beat the
- 26:54Speaker 2: arch Fiend, but it turns out that's not the end
- 26:56Speaker 2: of the game. Oh really, yeah, surprise, surprise, it's not
- 27:00Speaker 2: over yet.
- 27:01Speaker 1: That's fucking cool.
- 27:02Speaker 2: Which I'm told is a trope that Dragon Warrior enjoys doing.
- 27:06Speaker 2: But the first game didn't do that, and neither did
- 27:09Speaker 2: the second. I think, so I think this might have
- 27:11Speaker 2: been the first game where they pulled the rug out
- 27:12Speaker 2: from under you. The guy you've been hunting the entire
- 27:15Speaker 2: game isn't actually the batty Oh really? Yeah, well that's
- 27:18Speaker 2: kind of cool. Yeah he is a baddie, but the
- 27:21Speaker 2: not the not the.
- 27:22Speaker 1: One you were actually hunting for. Yeah, that's fair, that's fair.
- 27:26Speaker 1: I like that spoilert Oh fuck.
- 27:29Speaker 2: Think the game is fucking fifty years old?
- 27:35Speaker 1: Playing this game right? You know better?
- 27:38Speaker 2: All right, that's enough jabber John for me. That's pretty
- 27:41Speaker 2: much everything I've been up to honestly, in the past
- 27:42Speaker 2: couple of weeks so and we've we've hit roughly the
- 27:45Speaker 2: twenty minute marks. So yeah, why don't we take a
- 27:47Speaker 2: short break. When we come back, we're gonna talk some more,
- 27:50Speaker 2: but we're gonna take a quick break, so, uh, we'll
- 27:53Speaker 2: be right back right after.
- 27:54Speaker 8: This is your popcorn? Ready, then pull up a chair.

- 29:33Speaker 1: I was actually clearing out our email because we're like
- 29:36Speaker 1: eighty percent full and one of them I had just
- 29:39Speaker 1: set up for Good Pods and it's just monthly, monthly,
- 29:41Speaker 1: month and month, just going down the list of like
- 29:43Speaker 1: the things you want. It was pretty neat.
- 29:45Speaker 2: So yeah, that's wild.
- 29:47Speaker 1: It's pretty bad ass. So if you like, if you
- 29:48Speaker 1: follow us on good pods, man, give us a like,
- 29:51Speaker 1: throw a comment on there. We check it every now
- 29:52Speaker 1: and then too. But you're keeping us up there every month.
- 29:55Speaker 1: You are amazing.
- 29:56Speaker 2: Our Good Pods listeners are keeping us at the top
- 29:59Speaker 2: of the ranks, and that is awesome.
- 30:01Speaker 1: Yeah, it's crazy. Oh boy, what.
- 30:07Speaker 2: Here we go? Oh you Doggie makes a mess? Session zero.
- 30:13Speaker 2: So this is you painting the minis on Patreon? Holy shit?
- 30:19Speaker 2: Did I see the descriptions begrudgingly dusting off, painting and
- 30:23Speaker 2: detailing his long old minis. You know parentheses. It's been
- 30:28Speaker 2: a while, Like, who wrote that? Was it you? Stevie?
- 30:35Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 30:35Speaker 2: That's funny z. Most of all, he'll ramble to himself
- 30:39Speaker 2: like there's no tomorrow. This is the Patreon explicit video
- 30:43Speaker 2: of you, of you painting your minis and just relaxing
- 30:48Speaker 2: and having a good time. Yeah all right, so we
- 30:51Speaker 2: got a comment on it.
- 30:53Speaker 6: We did. Yeah, carment from Kristen Patreon number of ours,
- 30:58Speaker 6: stating that this was relaxed to watch and listen to.
- 31:01Speaker 5: And then I did a great job.
- 31:04Speaker 2: I didn't get.
- 31:04Speaker 5: Paint all over the studio.
- 31:08Speaker 2: Time, there is still time. Well, thank you, Chris, I'm
- 31:13Speaker 2: glad you enjoyed it. Yeah, after we pestered him and
- 31:16Speaker 2: then had you guys pester him forever and.
- 31:19Speaker 1: Ever, I figure that was the best way to get
- 31:20Speaker 1: it to happen.
- 31:22Speaker 2: It worked, he did, didn't and you enjoyed it, right.
- 31:25Speaker 5: Oh yeah, it was an interesting time for an hour.
- 31:31Speaker 5: But yeah, I'm gonna try to do that as I can.
- 31:34Speaker 1: It'll be on Sundays when I can after we get back.
- 31:38Speaker 6: Yeah, we got this episode three hundred get through first
- 31:42Speaker 6: and then after that.
- 31:43Speaker 5: Uh yeah, yeah.
- 31:44Speaker 6: It will be something more common we could do and
- 31:46Speaker 6: not just painting.
- 31:47Speaker 5: Minies like in the future. We'll be doing other stuff
- 31:49Speaker 5: as well.
- 31:50Speaker 1: It'll be fun. Oh yeah, I'm going to join too,
- 31:52Speaker 1: because I got minies. I haven't painted either. Okay, so yeah,
- 31:55Speaker 1: we're gonna do that one day and we get back
- 31:56Speaker 1: to come out here and do that recorded for Patreon.
- 31:58Speaker 1: It'll be fun.
- 32:00Speaker 2: That'd be very cool.
- 32:01Speaker 5: The discord as always.
- 32:03Speaker 2: Oh yeah, Well, if you're listening to this and you're
- 32:06Speaker 2: not a part of a Patreon, think about joining.
- 32:09Speaker 1: Uh.
- 32:09Speaker 2: It's patreon dot com slash b fy t W. You
- 32:12Speaker 2: can follow for free and still got a lot of
- 32:14Speaker 2: cool stuff. But if you want to join the ranks
- 32:17Speaker 2: of such amazing people, uh and help support the show,
- 32:20Speaker 2: it's just five bucks a month. We only have the
- 32:22Speaker 2: one tier.
- 32:23Speaker 1: Uh.
- 32:23Speaker 2: And then you'll see things like I'll be painting as
- 32:25Speaker 2: minis can watch me killing people and hit Man three.
- 32:29Speaker 1: Oh my god, I love those. I get to watch
- 32:32Speaker 1: him kill somebody in a weird way.
- 32:34Speaker 2: Yeah. I think that's one of the reasons why I
- 32:35Speaker 2: try to get into the Patreon, because I'm like, I
- 32:37Speaker 2: should do another one of those. You know, I still
- 32:39Speaker 2: have the I still have the source videos, the ones
- 32:41Speaker 2: I recorded, but I don't know which ones I've done
- 32:43Speaker 2: which ones I haven't. So I'm like, yeah, you know,
- 32:47Speaker 2: so I want to. I wanted to check and see.
- 32:48Speaker 2: But in any event, Uh, that's been our mail bag.
- 32:51Speaker 2: Let's get back to the show. Hey man, welcome back,
- 33:07Speaker 2: Yeah back, Episode ninety eight. She'll show before the big show.
- 33:13Speaker 1: She'll show before the big show. We're not talking about
- 33:15Speaker 1: the wrestler.
- 33:16Speaker 2: No, although if we were, he'd be welcome to chill
- 33:18Speaker 2: with us.
- 33:19Speaker 1: Davy, so fucking we would not be only do it
- 33:21Speaker 1: in here.
- 33:22Speaker 2: We have to get a different you have to get
- 33:25Speaker 2: a different chair.
- 33:26Speaker 1: Like we would need different We needed to go to
- 33:27Speaker 1: his house. Big show. Invite us to your house and we'll.
- 33:30Speaker 2: Do this big show. Can we come to your house?
- 33:34Speaker 2: We just want to play and hang out.
- 33:38Speaker 1: Oh fucking sick that he.
- 33:40Speaker 2: Does seem like a cool dude. He does seem like
- 33:43Speaker 2: a really nice guy just in all the behind the
- 33:46Speaker 2: scenes stuff I've seen, and he does have a sense
- 33:49Speaker 2: of humor about himself, which is fantastic.
- 33:51Speaker 1: That's great.
- 33:51Speaker 2: Hell yeah, that's one of the reasons why I loved
- 33:53Speaker 2: his movie. Is his only movie, sadly, but there were
- 33:58Speaker 2: some really funny bits in it that I enjoyed.
- 34:02Speaker 1: Oh his head and there wasn't that funny.
- 34:07Speaker 2: He's like, one of the jokes is shipping himself on
- 34:09Speaker 2: a bus, Like, did you really think that was so funny?
- 34:12Speaker 1: Yeah, screaming, I'm sorry.
- 34:16Speaker 2: I'm so sorry.
- 34:19Speaker 1: If that's why I will never travel by fucking bus,
- 34:23Speaker 1: not public Like, like, give me, what's those things called
- 34:28Speaker 1: a tour bus. Fuck y'all, try by tour bus, get
- 34:31Speaker 1: us a driver. It's the three of us in that
- 34:32Speaker 1: whole bitch fucking like two queen beds and a kitchen
- 34:35Speaker 1: and a fridge and ship.
- 34:36Speaker 5: Yeah, what do you think a tour bus is?
- 34:40Speaker 2: Like?
- 34:40Speaker 1: Not one where it's public, like you have to deal
- 34:41Speaker 1: with other people and there's a shittering okay, like a
- 34:45Speaker 1: real like a like you're a band.
- 34:48Speaker 2: Yeah, that's your bus.
- 34:50Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, private tour bus with the driver. Then we'll
- 34:56Speaker 1: do it. But we got we gotta not pay them.
- 35:00Speaker 2: Yeah, that'll go over on. Yeah, that always goes.
- 35:03Speaker 1: Oh no, I mean they got to volunteer to do it.
- 35:07Speaker 2: Yeah, always easy to get.
- 35:08Speaker 1: Well, give him a shout out on this show. We'll
- 35:10Speaker 1: do an episode all about and.
- 35:16Speaker 2: Patrion exclusive Jesus Christ.
- 35:18Speaker 1: We'll do the whole episode about.
- 35:19Speaker 2: Whatever disposure you steve out there, you can under unbelievable. No,
- 35:33Speaker 2: I shouldn't say that.
- 35:34Speaker 1: Micro transactions to the show to completely believable.
- 35:38Speaker 2: It's completely believable. Steee does this ship all the time.
- 35:41Speaker 2: I do.
- 35:43Speaker 1: You whatever means possible? Do you take an ad of
- 35:46Speaker 1: advantage of anything possible?
- 35:48Speaker 2: What have you been up too lately hanging out.
- 35:50Speaker 6: With this well known miser I guess, but fucking uh
- 35:56Speaker 6: plan Cyberpunk mostly going back to it. There was rumors
- 36:01Speaker 6: that there might be another update coming up soon, like
- 36:03Speaker 6: with the next couple of weeks.
- 36:04Speaker 2: Yeah. I'm told they're already working on Cyberpunk two. Yeah,
- 36:10Speaker 2: currently got one hundred people working on it. They plan
- 36:12Speaker 2: to have like five hundred people working on it.
- 36:14Speaker 1: The wow nice The roster of.
- 36:18Speaker 2: The hubbub says it's going to take place in Chicago,
- 36:24Speaker 2: but uh, apocalyptic future version of Chicago like this week accurate? Accurate? Yeah, No,
- 36:37Speaker 2: that's all. I've heard. No word on if anyone's going
- 36:40Speaker 2: to be like a massive like centerpiece of it, like
- 36:45Speaker 2: Keanu Reeves.
- 36:46Speaker 6: Right, do they like tell you how many people like?
- 36:49Speaker 6: It's still single player experience. I imagine probably, like.
- 36:54Speaker 2: I assume, so, I don't think there are any more
- 36:56Speaker 2: details about what they plan to include in the yet.
- 36:59Speaker 2: That was just tiny tidbits about where it's going to
- 37:01Speaker 2: take place.
- 37:02Speaker 6: And that makes sense why they didn't do it with
- 37:05Speaker 6: the first at the rough start it had.
- 37:10Speaker 1: If they could do it for the second.
- 37:11Speaker 5: One, that'd be sick.
- 37:13Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 37:13Speaker 2: CD project like two players CD Project Red is one
- 37:16Speaker 2: of those one of those few companies that I would
- 37:18Speaker 2: uproot my entire life to go work for. Like if
- 37:22Speaker 2: somebody said, hey, we want you to come work at
- 37:24Speaker 2: CD per cdp R Boston, which I know is they're
- 37:28Speaker 2: they're the ones who are in charge of the Cyberpunk two.
- 37:32Speaker 2: They're leading, they're leading the project. I would be like, guys,
- 37:37Speaker 2: I'm moving away, but we're still going to do this show. Remotely.
- 37:40Speaker 1: We'd find a way we'll do.
- 37:42Speaker 2: It won't be permanent, but yeah, but if but if
- 37:46Speaker 2: I can get you guys in, I'll try to get you. Guys.
- 37:48Speaker 1: We need to get you to apply for CD project
- 37:51Speaker 1: like this week, hopefully be like you just finished episode
- 37:54Speaker 1: three hundred, the crowds cheering on your phone. You look,
- 37:58Speaker 1: get into the email you've been accepting.
- 38:01Speaker 2: We'd like to offer you one hundred and twenty thousand.
- 38:03Speaker 1: Dollars a year, and we'll give you a place to stay.
- 38:06Speaker 1: Company housing, company yeah, company housing, and car you live
- 38:11Speaker 1: on campus.
- 38:12Speaker 2: Fuck it, guys, sorry, I gotta go.
- 38:14Speaker 1: That's fair. What's coming to visit you? I don't get
- 38:17Speaker 1: fucking do it. Fucking David House sick of this heartbeat.
- 38:22Speaker 1: Oh my god, so fast.
- 38:25Speaker 6: But yeah, other than that, that's pretty much been it.
- 38:28Speaker 6: It's just because it's my off season, so not doing
- 38:30Speaker 6: anything like crazy, and then with the with the episode
- 38:34Speaker 6: three hundred coming up, that's pretty much been the only
- 38:37Speaker 6: other thing I've been putting any effort into.
- 38:42Speaker 2: Yeah, although technically you're done, you are one of the
- 38:46Speaker 2: contestings I need to worry about anymore.
- 38:47Speaker 1: So.
- 38:48Speaker 2: For those who don't know, Augie is one of five
- 38:50Speaker 2: contestants playing the game of task Master uh and he
- 38:55Speaker 2: he's finished with everything, all of his needs, he all
- 38:57Speaker 2: his tasks, everything he was instructed to do, He's done, And.
- 39:00Speaker 1: So that's nice.
- 39:01Speaker 2: I'm like, I don't know what else you're doing aside
- 39:02Speaker 2: from helping this.
- 39:03Speaker 6: Fool, literally nothing else, because again, as I've stated in
- 39:07Speaker 6: previous episodes leading up to this one, it is incredibly
- 39:11Speaker 6: difficult to not have anyone to talk to about the ship.
- 39:14Speaker 5: That I experienced.
- 39:16Speaker 6: Yeah, so sadly sit back and do nothing.
- 39:20Speaker 2: Sadly. The way test Mister works, Augie is not allowed
- 39:22Speaker 2: to talk to anybody about the test that he's been through,
- 39:25Speaker 2: and Stevie has requested to remain in the dark as
- 39:28Speaker 2: well as much as the original the original brief was
- 39:31Speaker 2: that he couldn't talk to any of the other contestants
- 39:33Speaker 2: about it, but Stevie is also requested not to be involved,
- 39:36Speaker 2: so keeping radio silence, the only person you can talk
- 39:41Speaker 2: to about it is me. I'm the only person, and
- 39:44Speaker 2: we don't hang out one to one all that one.
- 39:45Speaker 1: And you can't even talk too much about things because
- 39:48Speaker 1: people live in your house.
- 39:49Speaker 2: Wh will hear it?
- 39:50Speaker 1: And you were already there.
- 39:52Speaker 2: So yeah, I was, I was there. So what's the
- 39:54Speaker 2: point in talking to so saying ship that we've already
- 40:00Speaker 2: we've already been through that, that I've already made you do.
- 40:05Speaker 5: No kidding the things I've seen people, So yeah, that's
- 40:13Speaker 5: very cool.
- 40:15Speaker 2: Well that's pretty much it.
- 40:17Speaker 5: Like I don't do much of anything ever, so.
- 40:23Speaker 2: I never do.
- 40:24Speaker 5: I literally just exist.
- 40:26Speaker 6: I like the highlights of my week, as sad as
- 40:30Speaker 6: it might be, might be this podcast for the most cases,
- 40:35Speaker 6: But like other than that, there's like nothing else. Like
- 40:37Speaker 6: I don't go places, I don't do things, I don't
- 40:39Speaker 6: have side projects. I have to literally be bullied into
- 40:43Speaker 6: doing any hobbies. It's not wrong to be bullied boring
- 40:54Speaker 6: personal things.
- 40:55Speaker 5: Considering that's fair.
- 40:59Speaker 2: That's all right. Well then I guess I'll ask Steve.
- 41:02Speaker 1: Yeah, lately, man, nothing aside from the three hundred stuff
- 41:09Speaker 1: like getting everything ready, trying to find luggage that was
- 41:12Speaker 1: first of all possible to carry the studio stuff in,
- 41:15Speaker 1: strong enough to not damage anything in there, and small
- 41:18Speaker 1: enough to fit within the stupid recommendations. So that's been fun. Yeah.
- 41:23Speaker 1: But finally found it in Lockport, which was nice, nice
- 41:26Speaker 1: quick little shop there. And then uh oh, I baked
- 41:30Speaker 1: a bunch of cookies and I took them to Peace
- 41:34Speaker 1: Love and Bud, one of our sponsors. I took another
- 41:37Speaker 1: to weed Stock, another one of our soon to be partners.
- 41:40Speaker 1: And then sometime my dentists because my teeth are fucked
- 41:43Speaker 1: up and if I give them cookies and don't get
- 41:44Speaker 1: so mad at me to do that.
- 41:47Speaker 2: Ship that's funny and true.
- 41:52Speaker 1: Yeah it is, uh but no, we just had Thanksgiving,
- 41:54Speaker 1: which was great. That was amazing. I got to uh,
- 41:58Speaker 1: I make homemade cearly fries, fry them off on top
- 42:02Speaker 1: of my stovetop of it and everything like two potatoes,
- 42:05Speaker 1: clean them out, fucking spiral them through, got a pan
- 42:08Speaker 1: full of oil. Throw those bitches in there, fry them
- 42:10Speaker 1: for like two minutes, side, throw them in a bucket
- 42:13Speaker 1: salt pepperum shook them. That was fun. So I'm learning
- 42:16Speaker 1: how to do different types of things now.
- 42:18Speaker 2: God damn, now I'm hungry.
- 42:20Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 42:20Speaker 2: Sorry.
- 42:21Speaker 1: I made peanut butter chocolate balls, which I have a
- 42:25Speaker 1: couple upstairs for you if you remind me before we
- 42:27Speaker 1: leave you Yay. And then I learned. I got two recipes.
- 42:33Speaker 1: I'm learning how to make homemade muffins from scratch, like
- 42:35Speaker 1: flour and shit and bread. Yeah, because I want to
- 42:38Speaker 1: learn how to make my own bread as well, so
- 42:39Speaker 1: that way I can just do all this shit. I
- 42:41Speaker 1: don't worry about buying this stuff anymore. It's been kind
- 42:43Speaker 1: of nice. And I do have a jam recipe that
- 42:47Speaker 1: I want to try for the spring.
- 42:49Speaker 2: Really, what kind of jam?
- 42:50Speaker 1: Raspberry? Because we have a raspberry bush. I can get
- 42:53Speaker 1: enough raspberries from it, and we have strawberries now, so
- 42:55Speaker 1: I'm gonna do raspberry and strawberry jam. Yeah. N learn
- 43:00Speaker 1: a bunch of random shit like that, yeah, because it's
- 43:02Speaker 1: cool because I can jar it. The stuff will last us.
- 43:04Speaker 2: Could you do like a mixed berry jam?
- 43:06Speaker 1: Is that poss Yeah? They called that? Was it? A
- 43:09Speaker 1: blunken barriers?
- 43:10Speaker 2: Ra tas barriers.
- 43:12Speaker 1: It was so weird. It was like a medley.
- 43:14Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 43:14Speaker 1: So it was like four different berries inside this pie.
- 43:17Speaker 1: It was so fucking good. Holy shit, it's so good.
- 43:19Speaker 2: Holy shit.
- 43:20Speaker 1: So a lot of cooking, having a lot of fun,
- 43:22Speaker 1: frying things on a on a solve again.
- 43:24Speaker 2: Oh, there's a question. Yeah, we just passed Thanksgiving.
- 43:28Speaker 1: That's what I was saying.
- 43:28Speaker 2: Mans, why don't we talk about food Thanksgiving? Yeah, I'm
- 43:31Speaker 2: sitting here like we've been up to fucking nothing, and
- 43:34Speaker 2: I'm like, no, I actually did have Thanksgiving?
- 43:37Speaker 1: Would you do?
- 43:39Speaker 6: We?
- 43:40Speaker 2: For the first time ever, we didn't have Thanksgiving in
- 43:43Speaker 2: one of our homes. Instead went to a restaurant. Really,
- 43:47Speaker 2: where'd you guys go? We went to Alex's Place in Batavia.
- 43:53Speaker 2: It's a fantastic restaurant. It is is quite possibly my
- 43:57Speaker 2: favorite restaurant in the area. Really, it is so good.
- 44:00Speaker 1: Yeah, Okay, they first of all, they're the picture.
- 44:03Speaker 2: They're like a steak and barbecue place.
- 44:05Speaker 1: Oh shit, son.
- 44:06Speaker 2: To start with, the very first time we went there,
- 44:09Speaker 2: for I think Mom's birthday or Paul's birthday. We went
- 44:14Speaker 2: and their special was cherry bomb ribs and I ordered
- 44:22Speaker 2: them and they were so fucking good that Every single
- 44:26Speaker 2: time I've been asking, hey, cherry bomb ribs un special
- 44:30Speaker 2: or available, and it has been no. What I'm like,
- 44:32Speaker 2: damn it, damn it. But the fact is their ribs
- 44:36Speaker 2: were amazing. Yeah, absolutely astounding.
- 44:38Speaker 1: So you're talking this is a place to be a
- 44:40Speaker 1: fighting to go visit.
- 44:41Speaker 2: I mean it wouldn't rt. It's a forty five minute drive. Fuck,
- 44:44Speaker 2: who cares.
- 44:44Speaker 1: We drove four hours at one day to go to
- 44:46Speaker 1: a restaurant. It's damn good, down dude fucking food.
- 44:52Speaker 2: Yes, it's reasonably priced. It's not going to break the bank.
- 44:58Speaker 1: Uh.
- 44:58Speaker 2: And in this case they were doing it was their
- 45:02Speaker 2: first Thanksgiving being opened. Was apparently the owner didn't want
- 45:06Speaker 2: to do it. The owner was like, Nah, people don't
- 45:09Speaker 2: want to work, don't people People want to spend the
- 45:11Speaker 2: time with their family. I don't see the point in opening.
- 45:14Speaker 2: But there was enough customer you know request, you know,
- 45:18Speaker 2: we we would love to come if you'd be open that.
- 45:20Speaker 2: She finally put it to the employee, She's like, all right,
- 45:23Speaker 2: how many of you would volunteer to work on Thanksgiving?
- 45:26Speaker 2: And if I get enough people, we can do it.
- 45:29Speaker 1: That's fair. I like that and a.
- 45:30Speaker 2: Lot of the employees, to her surprise, said yeah, we'll
- 45:33Speaker 2: come in and work.
- 45:33Speaker 1: On They were getting those days too.
- 45:36Speaker 2: Oh yeah, we we did not. We did not hold back.
- 45:41Speaker 2: A lot of people didn't and uh and we had
- 45:43Speaker 2: such a good meal like their their primary you know
- 45:46Speaker 2: offering was roasted turkey with mashed potatoes and gravy you know,
- 45:52Speaker 2: corn and uh and cranberry sauce. Yes, And I was
- 45:56Speaker 2: fucking all over this all over. It was so good.
- 46:01Speaker 2: You could choose light or dark meat. I chose a
- 46:03Speaker 2: mix because I like both.
- 46:05Speaker 1: Give me a leg and a breast, baby, I like both.
- 46:08Speaker 2: I'll take either.
- 46:08Speaker 1: I like them right in the middle, give me the
- 46:11Speaker 1: left side, prefer the left.
- 46:15Speaker 2: And it was very, very good and uh and my
- 46:18Speaker 2: family had a great time. And then we went back
- 46:19Speaker 2: to my mom's house for some pies. That's cool man,
- 46:22Speaker 2: which I didn't have, unfortunately because my stomach was that
- 46:26Speaker 2: but oh well, I had him when I got home.
- 46:29Speaker 1: As long as you had them, yep, that's cool.
- 46:31Speaker 2: Apple and strawberry rubart. I haven't had a long time.
- 46:35Speaker 1: That sounds good.
- 46:36Speaker 2: Yeah, strawberry rubar pie is good. But I've always found
- 46:39Speaker 2: it odd that that's the only way we ever eat
- 46:42Speaker 2: rubarbs and pie is in pie with strawberries?
- 46:46Speaker 1: Oh about? Yeah?
- 46:51Speaker 2: Literally don't have them any other way, right, Like what what?
- 46:54Speaker 2: What's wrong with them? We just don't. Why are there
- 46:57Speaker 2: not rhubarb snacks?
- 46:58Speaker 1: There's not that many of them. That's why they're inanger.
- 47:00Speaker 1: He endangered rhubarb of western New York.
- 47:04Speaker 2: I guess it's possible.
- 47:05Speaker 1: I mean, we endangered so many other fucking things. Why, Yeah,
- 47:09Speaker 1: but ours is ours is chill. We all pretty much
- 47:11Speaker 1: did something like I did the potato things for like
- 47:14Speaker 1: a snack before the snacks for early, and then I
- 47:17Speaker 1: did the chocolate cover peanut butter balls, the peanut butter cookies.
- 47:22Speaker 1: We did something else. I can't remember what the fuck
- 47:23Speaker 1: else we did, but we went downstairs with the family
- 47:26Speaker 1: and stuff. It was cool. Uh Aug's mom came over
- 47:30Speaker 1: the day before and did the cook did the turkey,
- 47:32Speaker 1: which is great, and then uh freaking Pixie did a
- 47:34Speaker 1: bunch of other sides and desserts, and then we had
- 47:38Speaker 1: a pumpkin pie, which is great and almost I was
- 47:40Speaker 1: all gone by today. Yeah, but yeah, like my plan,
- 47:43Speaker 1: no joke. As soon as we're done with this and
- 47:45Speaker 1: I start getting the editing going, is I'm running upstairs
- 47:47Speaker 1: and eating up the sweet potatoes and eating the rest
- 47:50Speaker 1: of those bitches. So I'm gonna eat those bitches as
- 47:54Speaker 1: I'm editing the episode. Yeah that was Thanksgiving, Like that
- 47:58Speaker 1: was chill yesterday. It was Friday. We didn't do much.
- 48:02Speaker 1: I've been gaming. I've been playing fucking Fallout Vegas. Yeah
- 48:07Speaker 1: so much. And Fallout Vegas has a lot of bugs
- 48:11Speaker 1: and a lot of crashing issues, which I have come
- 48:13Speaker 1: to accept, like all hardly, and usually when a game
- 48:17Speaker 1: does that to me, I get fucking angry and pissed.
- 48:19Speaker 1: I just stopped playing it. Like I was playing that
- 48:22Speaker 1: one area where the ghouls where it can get launched
- 48:24Speaker 1: into the spaceships or whatever. I'm in there and all
- 48:27Speaker 1: you told me, He's like, yeah, this place has a
- 48:29Speaker 1: tendency to crash a lot. Every time I walked to
- 48:32Speaker 1: a door, not even through it, sometimes like two it
- 48:34Speaker 1: would crash. So it's like every like less than five minutes,
- 48:37Speaker 1: it was crashing. But I was so dedicated. I was
- 48:39Speaker 1: paying attention to this quest so much, and I was
- 48:41Speaker 1: found this fucking story. I couldn't stop, so it crashed.
- 48:44Speaker 1: I was sharing it like with him, and it would crash,
- 48:47Speaker 1: load it back up, share, crash, load it back up,
- 48:50Speaker 1: not sharing anymore. Every thirty seconds, I was hard saving,
- 48:54Speaker 1: not even like the f fucking five shit, like no
- 48:57Speaker 1: hit escape and say choose it go in. I did
- 49:00Speaker 1: it until I completed that class, and like after that,
- 49:02Speaker 1: for over two hours, I was fucking like, fuck it,
- 49:05Speaker 1: I don't care. I'm actually enjoying this game. This month,
- 49:08Speaker 1: I'm letting it crash and loading it back up. Not
- 49:11Speaker 1: that it takes long to load up or anything, but
- 49:12Speaker 1: I'm just like, Wow, that's dedication. Man.
- 49:15Speaker 2: The biz, it's known as safe coming.
- 49:18Speaker 1: Yeah, but it was. It was. If the game is crashing, no,
- 49:22Speaker 1: that's the game that's needed. I'm not doing it change
- 49:26Speaker 1: like choices.
- 49:26Speaker 6: You died and because you were already chose the wrong
- 49:30Speaker 6: choice or whatever a choice.
- 49:32Speaker 1: That's one thing.
- 49:33Speaker 5: But when the game itself is like nope, I'm gonna
- 49:35Speaker 5: stop working.
- 49:36Speaker 1: Yeah, it's just like out Windows. God, I can't wait
- 49:39Speaker 1: till Steam's West comes out on a better consistency. Food
- 49:47Speaker 1: Thanksgiving Fallout Packing three hundred.
- 49:52Speaker 2: That's enough for now. I think it's been another good
- 49:54Speaker 2: chunk of time. Yeah, I mean it's take another quick break.
- 49:57Speaker 2: Hold on your thoughts. Yeah, back to it.
- 49:59Speaker 1: That sounds good. Yeah, let's break it up, all right.
- 50:01Speaker 2: So we're gonna take another quick break. When we come back,
- 50:03Speaker 2: we're gonna finish up our talk and hang out with you,
- 50:07Speaker 2: but we'll do that right after this.
- 50:17Speaker 1: Hey, if you're in the Western New York area and
- 50:20Speaker 1: you are a fan of the Green, head on over
- 50:22Speaker 1: to Peace, Love and Bud at three twenty self Transit

- 50:49Speaker 2: big show.
- 50:49Speaker 1: The big show, not the wrestler him and light l Yeah.
- 50:58Speaker 2: Okay, I guess some people could have skipped ahead of
- 50:59Speaker 2: the forty minute mark.
- 51:00Speaker 1: You never know. It's like I want to see how
- 51:02Speaker 1: this ends, Okay, I guess, yeah, you never know. Welcome
- 51:10Speaker 1: yeah back. What else? BFY has new merch that will
- 51:18Speaker 1: be debuted in Colorado Colorado Springs for a new stuff

- 51:28Speaker 1: which will be nice. But when we get back, yeah,
- 51:30Speaker 1: I'm gonna try to throw some stuff on the website
- 51:31Speaker 1: and if people would like to purchase it, we'll get
- 51:33Speaker 1: hold of our supplier and see if we can ship
- 51:35Speaker 1: it directly from them. So that's been fun, like getting
- 51:38Speaker 1: that ready designing ship, been getting into schedule one and
- 51:43Speaker 1: wanting to play that for sure. I know we just
- 51:45Speaker 1: mentioned that on our break, but I want to play
- 51:47Speaker 1: so bad with you. It's so much fun, like making
- 51:50Speaker 1: drugs and selling drugs and having you pick up garbage,
- 51:54Speaker 1: and like running away from cops together in a video game,
- 51:57Speaker 1: in a video game, video game, not real life. He's right, maybe, yeah,
- 52:04Speaker 1: we should do that tonight.
- 52:05Speaker 5: We can't.
- 52:06Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm the sole reason why we haven't gotten sued yet,
- 52:11Speaker 6: thank god we haven't.
- 52:12Speaker 1: All we pay him the big bucks. Yeah mean the bucks.
- 52:20Speaker 2: As much as six years. We've been paid exactly twice.
- 52:24Speaker 2: I think if I recall something like that anyway.
- 52:28Speaker 1: This joke takes all the expenses.
- 52:30Speaker 2: Because honestly, we we we literally do, take all the
- 52:35Speaker 2: money in their Patreon gives us, and all the money
- 52:37Speaker 2: from our from our advertising, we put it right back
- 52:40Speaker 2: into the right back in. Yeah, it's crazy, just trying
- 52:43Speaker 2: to make it better and more awesome and have better
- 52:47Speaker 2: sound and better equipment and all that good stuff and
- 52:50Speaker 2: it's really helped. I mean, honestly, I think had this
- 52:53Speaker 2: video set up like this is crazy, it's amazing.
- 52:55Speaker 1: It's nice like all of it. Because of that, I'm
- 52:58Speaker 1: gonna end with my final thing. I want to talk
- 53:01Speaker 1: about it because it's fucking peace love and but I
- 53:03Speaker 1: love this fucking dispensary in Lockport, New York.
- 53:05Speaker 2: Not just because we're sponsored.
- 53:07Speaker 1: No, not even just because of that, like they were
- 53:09Speaker 1: before we were sponsored, Like I was bringing them cookies
- 53:12Speaker 1: and ship they were giving us.
- 53:14Speaker 2: You sought them out. Yeah, I want you guys to
- 53:18Speaker 2: sponsor us.
- 53:18Speaker 1: Yeah, and it worked and how that works. But yeah,
- 53:22Speaker 1: we're gonna be hitting it up again before Colorado. Obviously,
- 53:24Speaker 1: we gotta get re up real fast for this week.
- 53:28Speaker 1: And I just want to shout them out because I
- 53:29Speaker 1: love going in there. They always give us the best
- 53:32Speaker 1: stuff and it's always at a good price. They are
- 53:35Speaker 1: so friendly and knowledgeable, and it's nice because we're gonna
- 53:39Speaker 1: go to one of the states that started the recreation thing.
- 53:41Speaker 1: Like we're gonna go to Colorado and you're gonna see that.
- 53:44Speaker 1: It's funny, like seeing like this is where it started.
- 53:47Speaker 1: And then like look where we're at on this side
- 53:48Speaker 1: of the states. You know, it's cool.
- 53:50Speaker 2: Colorado has been in operation for some time.
- 53:53Speaker 1: Em in Washington. I think we're the first two.
- 53:55Speaker 2: Their their businesses are going to be you know, well along. Yeah,
- 54:00Speaker 2: you know, so it's cool to see where It'll be
- 54:02Speaker 2: interesting to see how far along they are, like, and
- 54:05Speaker 2: what improvements to the to the system as it were.
- 54:08Speaker 1: Yeah, and how long it took them versus like, Okay,
- 54:10Speaker 1: New York went from medical the recreational real fast, like
- 54:14Speaker 1: in retrospect to theirs. So it's really neat. But yeah,
- 54:18Speaker 1: I'm gonna go hit up Peace of Love and Bud
- 54:20Speaker 1: give some love, talk about more the herbs, and then uh,
- 54:23Speaker 1: that's about it for this week. Yeah, then I'm then
- 54:25Speaker 1: I'm spent for the week. I'm done. I'm packing all
- 54:29Speaker 1: the stuff today tomorrow and done. Man's how I come
- 54:40Speaker 1: Every time I used to be his, his roommate.
- 54:42Speaker 10: Man, I'd hear that turtle, you a little turtle, the
- 54:49Speaker 10: turtle having shoe turtle.
- 54:57Speaker 1: Speaking of coming, we did, which was kind of amazing.
- 55:07Speaker 1: We have both sides of this story.
- 55:09Speaker 2: That's fantastic. Okay, speaking of fun ship to do like
- 55:16Speaker 2: having sense with the shoe a turtle coming on a turtle.
- 55:20Speaker 1: Turtle, that animal cruelty. We've already learned that.
- 55:25Speaker 2: If we are to ask for it, that's consent.
- 55:28Speaker 1: Sign this consent. It's just like.
- 55:33Speaker 2: I love you.
- 55:38Speaker 1: Splinters, Like God, damn.
- 55:44Speaker 2: Okay, where the funk was I?
- 55:47Speaker 1: You had one more thing to bring?
- 55:49Speaker 2: There is one more thing I'm so excited about. I can't.
- 55:52Speaker 1: I can't get hold it anywhere.
- 55:55Speaker 2: Surprise, No, it's it's not a surprise already you're out. No,
- 55:59Speaker 2: not me, sweet out?
- 56:03Speaker 1: What a.
- 56:06Speaker 2: Fuck am I in?
- 56:07Speaker 8: What time?
- 56:08Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 56:08Speaker 2: No shit? Anyway, So you may remember, or at least
- 56:13Speaker 2: listeners may remember. Some time ago, I was working on
- 56:17Speaker 2: a project to uh make Windows ninety five and ninety
- 56:21Speaker 2: eight games instantly playable at a moment's notice. I could
- 56:25Speaker 2: just launch, launch a game and get right into playing
- 56:28Speaker 2: it without any bullshit that having to fight with anything.
- 56:31Speaker 2: Is just all set up, ready to go. The reason
- 56:33Speaker 2: I did that project is because of projects that came
- 56:36Speaker 2: before it. There is a gentleman, but he goes by
- 56:38Speaker 2: the name of retro Exo, although he's is more often
- 56:42Speaker 2: just known by XO now. And he was the creator
- 56:46Speaker 2: and and and I guess curator of a project called
- 56:50Speaker 2: Exo DOS And what this was was a massive collection
- 56:55Speaker 2: of DOSS games that were set to work exactly like
- 56:58Speaker 2: I had said. You pick one, you see maybe screenshots
- 57:01Speaker 2: of it, the description, year was released, all this extra
- 57:05Speaker 2: metadata if you want, and then you just you just
- 57:08Speaker 2: click it, you launch, you start right into the game
- 57:10Speaker 2: and start playing. And he did this amassing a massive
- 57:15Speaker 2: collection of games like something like ridiculous, like five or
- 57:18Speaker 2: six thousand, oh shit, from like nineteen eighty six or
- 57:23Speaker 2: eighty seven, all the way up until nineteen ninety eight,
- 57:26Speaker 2: you know, when the last, the very last Doss game
- 57:29Speaker 2: was released.
- 57:30Speaker 1: Wow.
- 57:31Speaker 2: And it's a about as complete a package as you
- 57:35Speaker 2: can imagine. You know, he did it pretty much in
- 57:38Speaker 2: the name of game preservation. I'm not saying he's autistic,
- 57:42Speaker 2: but he might want to have himself diagnosed. But he
- 57:48Speaker 2: and if he has more power to him because he
- 57:51Speaker 2: just put together an impressive and incredible package, like so
- 57:56Speaker 2: many games I'd never even heard of before, and a
- 57:59Speaker 2: lot that sparked memory, you know, core memory in myself.
- 58:02Speaker 2: I remember that game, you know, and you could just
- 58:05Speaker 2: whip Mutt and play it whenever you want. It's one
- 58:08Speaker 2: of it's one of my favorite things, and he swiftly
- 58:10Speaker 2: followed it up with XO Win three X. So these
- 58:15Speaker 2: were games that were for Windows three point one. Nice,
- 58:19Speaker 2: there is another great collection started to get into the
- 58:22Speaker 2: Windows ninety five ninety eight territory, but about a year
- 58:25Speaker 2: ago he released a video stating nine X is not
- 58:31Speaker 2: going to become a thing. Like the major obstacle is
- 58:35Speaker 2: disk space, because we would need an entire Windows setup
- 58:40Speaker 2: for every single game, and Windows, even Windows ninety five
- 58:44Speaker 2: is bloated as fuck. It's gonna be a minimum of
- 58:46Speaker 2: like two hundred and fifty three hundred megabytes for each game.
- 58:50Speaker 2: And so even just even just like the first year
- 58:53Speaker 2: Windows ninety five ninety eight games like nineteen ninety four
- 58:58Speaker 2: or nineteen ninety five when ninety five came out, would
- 59:02Speaker 2: be like something like two terabytes of space, and so
- 59:05Speaker 2: the entire project would be somewhere in the area of
- 59:07Speaker 2: twenty four like a ridiculous amount of space that nobody's
- 59:11Speaker 2: gonna have. And he's like, so that's why we're not
- 59:14Speaker 2: there's no focus on it. We're working on other things.
- 59:16Speaker 2: And he didn't do some other things. He did exo
- 59:18Speaker 2: scum just simply scum engine games, and that sort of thing,
- 59:24Speaker 2: and there's also a He also did a really great
- 59:27Speaker 2: like learning software package. I can't remember what it's called,
- 59:30Speaker 2: but it's basically under the same XO and it does
- 59:34Speaker 2: a huge collection of edutainment titles available. And he came
- 59:39Speaker 2: out with this very appropriately right as COVID.
- 59:43Speaker 1: Oh no shit.
- 59:44Speaker 2: So he was like, and a lot of teachers reached
- 59:46Speaker 2: out and was like, this was incredibly useful, thank you,
- 59:49Speaker 2: that's cool. You know. So he's been busy doing other things,
- 59:53Speaker 2: but apparently somebody one of his community on discord reached
- 59:58Speaker 2: out to him and said, Hey, I think I know
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: how we can solve that space problem. What if I
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: wrote a script that had a specific Windows setup and
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: it would change the setup based on what the game needed,
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: but it would only ever be one Windows set up,
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: And so when you launch the game, the script will
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: configure that set up the way it needs to be
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: set up. The game runs in it, the game plays,
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: when the player's done, they exit out, the script returns
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: the original setup back to the basic level, and then
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: you don't have to duplicate it a million.
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: Times open system every time.
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: So he recently released win XO three sorry, Win XO
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: Win nine X. It is just the first three years.
- 1:00:49Speaker 2: It is nineteen ninety four, nineteen ninety five, and nineteen
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: ninety six. Okay, but that is still it's it's it's
- 1:00:56Speaker 2: also incomplete. There are games missing, we know this to
- 1:00:59Speaker 2: be true. But it's still roughly seven hundred games, so
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: it's even it's actually smaller than the collection I worked on,
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: which reached nine hundred. Somehow, somehow I set.
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: Up nine hundred games.
- 1:01:13Speaker 2: Well, my version was also like multiple terabytes, like it
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: was probably three or four you know, even more if
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: you actually installed every single game and just you know,
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: you know, as it were, they were compressed so that
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: you only uncompressed them when you play, that kind of thing.
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: But his version is gonna be much more thorough like
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: mine has basically no metadata. Like if I could add
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: a video, I did, But for the most part, it's
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: just like here's a screenshot. You know, if you want
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: in the game, go ahead and grab it. Whatever screenshots
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: were available from, like the services you could download them from.
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: But his, because I know the quality and Caliber's work,
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: I know his is going to be so much more complete,
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: and like I said, there are so much many years coming.
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: Like Windows nine X was a thing well into the
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: two thousands, so I think he said there's probably games
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: as late as two thousand and eight. Oh wow, possibly
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: even later.
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: But it wouldn't make sense to people hold on computers
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: longer back there.
- 1:02:16Speaker 2: But basically his definition is any Win thirty two games,
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: so any thirty two bit Windows game, because that was
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: Windows nine, ninety five, ninety eight and so on. So
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: he's got like quote unquote expansion packs ready, like future
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: years are going to be released individually but automatically merge
- 1:02:37Speaker 2: with the existing project. Oh yeah, and of course this
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: is version one, so there will be later versions doss
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: boxes up to version six I think at this point. Yeah,
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: so there are probably going to be revisions that add
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: more stuff that is found to be missing. There's already
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: a thread for missing games in his discord. I've been there,
- 1:02:57Speaker 2: and I've I've tried to find missing myself, because I'm like,
- 1:03:00Speaker 2: I have my own collection, I can compare this to this,
- 1:03:02Speaker 2: But of course I didn't have any metadata, so I
- 1:03:04Speaker 2: didn't have the year everything in my collection came out.
- 1:03:07Speaker 2: So I'm like, I don't know if because he's only
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: interested in the years that he's got out, and so
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: sorry because he doesn't want anybody like submitting games that
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: came out in nineteen ninety eight years, right, But he
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: says they're gonna come out relatively soon, like they're already
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: like kind of lined up and ready to go, but
- 1:03:25Speaker 2: they're just putting finishing touches on stuff. So I'm like,
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: I am so fucking excited. Like I I downloaded it.
- 1:03:31Speaker 2: I took a look through like the games, and I'm like,
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: I'm just gonna when I get back from episode three
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: hundred and I have some time to relax, like Monday,
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: I'm probably just gonna spend that whole day just blessing
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: out on some windows ninety five ninety eight.
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: Goodness with it.
- 1:03:48Speaker 2: I'm gonna I'm gonna have a great time. I'm gonna
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: have an absolutely great time. I know I am. I'm excited,
- 1:03:53Speaker 2: but that's that's something I'm looking forward to. Well, I
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: think we've we've talked quite a bit ye about everything
- 1:04:03Speaker 2: going on in our lives. I think that's a good
- 1:04:05Speaker 2: stopping point. Hell yeah, all right, Well thanks for listening.
