- 0:16[SPEAKER_03]: As it builds fans, I'm Lance Nelson, president of built in Buffalo to my left.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_03]: Scott Cassen to my right Benjamin Schupe, welcome into another exciting episode of the triple coverage podcast.
- 0:31[SPEAKER_03]: It's week three of the preseason.
- 0:34[SPEAKER_03]: There was a stinker of a week two that we just got out of, but it really doesn't matter unless Benjamin Schupe says it's matters.
- 0:44[SPEAKER_03]: It's up to you.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_02]: Nothing much, nothing much.
- 0:47[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that game.
- 0:49[SPEAKER_02]: I watched it as long as I could, I made it.
- 0:51[SPEAKER_02]: I believed to about two or three minutes left in the third quarter until I was like, I just can't.
- 0:57[SPEAKER_02]: This is horrible to watch right now.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, it was tough on watch, but you know, you still, it's still good to just see how well these players respond to stuff like this, especially the young guys that, you know, maybe don't like how they performed last week, but see how that in this week they bounce back.
- 1:16[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, definitely a rough one, but as we learned last year, let me walk through the very close at thirty three to six in the preseason.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_02]: It doesn't matter.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_02]: No, it doesn't.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_03]: Do you learn that?
- 1:28[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, do you?
- 1:28[SPEAKER_02]: Do you?
- 1:29[SPEAKER_03]: Do you?

- 1:42[SPEAKER_02]: Do you?
- 1:42[SPEAKER_02]: Do you?
- 1:43[SPEAKER_02]: Do you?
- 1:43[SPEAKER_02]: Do
- 1:44[SPEAKER_02]: people are still going to freak out over a preseason game.
- 1:48[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, I mean, I definitely don't really care too much that they got blown out.
- 1:53[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you wish certain players perform better.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_02]: But it is what it is.
- 1:58[SPEAKER_02]: And move on from here.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_02]: And learn.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_03]: Moving on.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 2:03[SPEAKER_00]: It is what it is.
- 2:04[SPEAKER_00]: And it's not what it's not.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 2:09[SPEAKER_00]: It was a bug in the game.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_00]: It's awesome.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_03]: I used to say, you know what you know.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_03]: And you don't know what you don't know.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_00]: sometimes she goes and sometimes she don't go and man, Sunday, she just didn't go.
- 2:19[SPEAKER_02]: Better happen in a preseason game than a regular season game.
- 2:24[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's why they play them, right?
- 2:28[SPEAKER_02]: Get in the shape.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, they're pros too.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_00]: They get paid to play too.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, obviously, well, it wasn't a ton of fun to watch, but you could tell that they put a lot more effort into the joint practice that week than they did the preseason game.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_00]: So we got some good work in that, which we'll talk about in hard non-stop.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, excited for week three.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_00]: We got roster cut down day on Monday, which is crazy.
- 2:53[SPEAKER_00]: August, twenty fifth, or whatever that day, it seems super early compared to what it usually is.
- 2:58[SPEAKER_00]: So excited to see how it all shakes out.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_00]: And we're going to talk about it.
- 3:01[SPEAKER_00]: We can tell you what we think, and I bet Brandon being willing to watch this and then make his own decisions.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_03]: We talking about that tonight.
- 3:08[SPEAKER_03]: That's this show.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_03]: All right.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_00]: Thanks, though.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_03]: I hope so.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, yes, it is.
- 3:12[SPEAKER_03]: We promised it in the description of what we were going to talk about tonight and we're going to get there.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_03]: So.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, shout out to Monster Energy Drink, the official energy partner of built in Buffalo.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_03]: Please like and share this as you arrive here.
- 3:30[SPEAKER_03]: up over to YouTube getting the comments with all the YouTube folks TJ and my mom are there.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_03]: So if you want to talk to my mom, she is here.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_03]: TJ is here.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_03]: Lance, are you guys concerned as I am at safety if rap gets hurt?
- 3:45[SPEAKER_03]: and we are with Hamlin and Bishop out there as a recipe for his master.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_03]: What's our plan?
- 3:51[SPEAKER_03]: We have great secondary coaching, and I tweeted this today, and please go look on my Twitter page, that I do not give a shit, SHIT, SHIT, one shit, or any shit, about who's in the secondary as long as we have our core together.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_03]: If Taran Johnson's playing with Matt Milano and Trello Bernard, and we have Bosa and Group, and add Oliver up front on the defense.
- 4:17[SPEAKER_03]: I do not care who the two corner backs are.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_03]: I do not care who the two safety's are.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_03]: Why don't I care?
- 4:23[SPEAKER_03]: because the coaches are good enough to make those players successful in this scheme and within this defense.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_03]: And regardless of the players we've had every time this team has failed, it's been on the coaches.
- 4:35[SPEAKER_03]: Nobody's ever said anything about the players not doing enough in my opinion.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_03]: It's always been McDermott hasn't gotten it done.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_03]: Heck, I believe in McDermott and with whatever guys he can throw out there, he'll get out there.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_03]: Now the caveat is to what I just said is that Josh Allen has to be playing quarterback and our offensive line has to be healthy as well.
- 4:54[SPEAKER_03]: Those are the two offensive caveats with that not caring about the corners and the safes, but
- 5:01[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I get people's panic.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_03]: I get that it's not ideal that we don't have like a hide and Jordan player back there.
- 5:07[SPEAKER_03]: I totally understand why you would want that.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_03]: And that's certainty in everything.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_03]: But at the same time, I'm going to believe in our folks who've been the system in this team over, you know, having the names up there.
- 5:22[SPEAKER_02]: I really feel a lot that you said they're like, except I don't really get the panic part.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_02]: I don't understand that part from people.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_02]: I get being concerned, worried, but a lot of people are pressing the panic button already, just like they did with linebackers when Trump and Arnold were stepping in his second year.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_02]: And I know that's the number one thing that people use to talk about the safety room.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_02]: But I do think we also are forgetting that they should play a lot better towards the end of the season.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_02]: And before the bears game, what did you have two practices in?
- 5:57[SPEAKER_02]: Like this is
- 5:58[SPEAKER_02]: And the NFL, it's very hard to all of a sudden, just, and mentally maybe, yeah, he was up to date, but physically and even just the speed of the game going right in, it's hard, unless you are a nine, ten year vet who's been playing in the league and maybe has had to come back from not playing after a certain one time, it's hard to kind of just go right in.
- 6:21[SPEAKER_02]: So, Bishop, I don't really get the major concern about Bishop right now.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_02]: Now, if it's week six, seven, eight, and he's still not looking like he's a guy that should be a starter, then yeah, get concerned.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_02]: So Bishop, I'm not too concerned.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_02]: I am very concerned, and I know what's going to happen is tomorrow, I'm going to make it in the thruster.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_02]: And again, well, we all, I know what the story is, is phenomenal if I'm coming back, and he's a great guy.
- 6:47[SPEAKER_02]: But it's tough to watch him sometimes on football field.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_02]: So I know he's going to make the roster.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_02]: So I do get that concern if Rap gets hurt.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_02]: But as long as Rap doesn't get hurt for the playoffs, I'm fine if he misses a couple of games, which more than likely he will because he's the way he plays.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_02]: I'm fine with Hamlet and play a couple of games.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_02]: But who knows, maybe handcock steps up, maybe handcock is a guy that continues to develop and they say, hey, we're going to throw him out there instead of Hamlet.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_02]: I get being a little bit worried or concerned.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_02]: I just don't, I think it's too early to press the panic button.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_02]: And I've seen a lot of that this week about the safety and not even just safety, those still corners out with them being heard.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_02]: But it's just, let's see how they play first in the regular season.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_02]: And once Bishop gets some practices on there,
- 7:40[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm not too concerned yet, but yeah, it's just something that I think we all just need to take step back and wait till we write our season and see how they play.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not super concerned yet.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_00]: It's not ideal that Bishops didn't look good.
- 7:54[SPEAKER_00]: But like you said, he practiced twice.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_00]: And it's only a second year in the league.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_00]: And he's going to get better.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_00]: And we're actually like he didn't play last season and look fine.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I don't get the panic either.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_00]: It's the same safety room as last year and it was fine.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_00]: Like, it's not Jordan player.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_00]: It's not my God.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_00]: We're probably not going to have any all pros in this group, but they're going to play fine.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_00]: which when you're paying a quarterback as much as the bills are paying a quarterback, you're going to have to have positions where you rely on young guys to step up.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_00]: In this case, that's coal bishop.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_00]: I think he can still do it.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think eight plays or whatever it was that we saw for him on Saturday on Sunday night after not practicing for three weeks is enough to go off of to get everybody into a panic, but people respond to what they've seen most recently.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_00]: And the last play was on the field.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_00]: They got absolutely cooked.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_00]: So people are going to think about that.
- 8:42[SPEAKER_00]: Demar is probably not a starter level player in the NFL, but he is a solid depth guy that you can pencil in Tailorap to miss four or five games the season and a roll with Colbish up in tomorrow.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_00]: And those are the safeties in the AFC championship game and that defense played well enough for the bills to win that game.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm not as concerned about it as a lot of people seem to be.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_00]: So we're just going to have to see how it plays out and they can always make a move in the season for for somebody if they have to.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_00]: You hope they don't because
- 9:10[SPEAKER_00]: Given the caps we kept face we have and we don't really want to go give an up draft picks.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_00]: See, it's not ideal, but I'm I'm not concerned yet.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_00]: We haven't even got the regular season.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_00]: Cole Bishop's still getting in the shape.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll see how they play.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_00]: Hopefully they do okay.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_03]: For sure.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_03]: I'm excited to see how it goes, but I'm not overly concerned.
- 9:30[SPEAKER_03]: All right.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_03]: What did we learn?
- 9:32[SPEAKER_03]: And so shoot, I think, already went on what he learned from last week.
- 9:37[SPEAKER_03]: Did you give your
- 9:40[SPEAKER_03]: what you learned last week.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_03]: Scott Kasin.
- 9:44[SPEAKER_00]: I did not give what I went last week, but I'm happy to be so.
- 9:49[SPEAKER_00]: Well, you learned something new every day if you're not careful.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_00]: Every day's a school day.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_00]: But what I learned is that Dequan Jones is going to have a bigger role on the dance of the line than I think a lot of us want.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_00]: Dequan had an up and down year last season.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_00]: It was also the awesome year before had an injury.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_00]: He's getting older.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_00]: I think a lot of people were hoping that TJ Sanders could just kind of step in and take over the starting position in Dequan with a more rotational guy.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think we saw that either TJ Sanders or Dion Walker are ready to step into a role like that.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_00]: There are anymore of the rotations.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_00]: So we're going to be relying on a lot of Dequan Jones this season.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_00]: and if he's playing well then that Oliver is going to play well because I've played as well and it's one technique is playing at his fast so I think we learn that the Quang Jones is going to be a lot of people saying maybe he'd be a cut or trade candidates we're going to see a lot more of him than we thought.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I'm seeing a little bit more of a liveisc channel than I thought I would.
- 10:45[SPEAKER_03]: I played deeper into the game.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe ramping him up because he didn't get a lot of time early on.
- 10:52[SPEAKER_03]: Increasing different roles along with special teams units, I think, and we'll get into what that means when we go through our fifty three men roster production.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_03]: What are you guys watching for in week three?
- 11:06[SPEAKER_03]: I'm gonna go first because I'm talking now and you can't stop me is the line of streamage play to improve.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_00]: I could meet you if I want to.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_03]: You could, I'm fair.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_03]: You could stop me, but you won't.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_03]: Cause you got no guts.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_03]: I'm just kidding.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_03]: The line of skirmish play, I definitely want to see it improve, you know, discipline.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_03]: Vanna Mark, jumping fall starts, twice in a row, that sort of thing.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_03]: Really looking to see, and I'm always looking to see line of skirmish play, be great for this team, because it has been quite honestly, and we've been very lucky to have this offensive line.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_03]: And defensive line has been for the most part,
- 11:42[SPEAKER_03]: Top half of the league I'd say they'd been decent at least at.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_03]: And I think that they are able to control the limit, the line of skirmish enough to have success.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_03]: But so far in the preseason, these reserve players and guys that maybe shouldn't really be expected to have success aren't really having a ton of it.
- 12:04[SPEAKER_03]: There are flashes here and there, but I want to see a little bit more of it and have it actually impact the game in a positive manner, such that it results in either points or stopping the other team from scoring points.
- 12:17[SPEAKER_00]: I'm excited to see the younger guys, or the back half of the secondary guys, because I don't think Benford's gonna play.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_00]: We're gonna talk about it in a little bit, but Trey White got banged up today.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_00]: We don't know the severity of that yet.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_00]: Maxwell Harris, and obviously his hurt and not playing.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_00]: They in Jackson hasn't looked great.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_00]: Some arcades in the room we haven't really noticed, which for a corner is a good thing.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_00]: Dorian Strong has asked flash some things in practice, but in the game he kind of struggled on Sunday.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think Hancock is going to play with his shoulder injury and he's probably not an outside corner guy anyway, but I'm excited to see who it'd create a white can't go by week long, which is a long way away and you don't know anything at all, but who kind of steps up and grabs that number two corner roll and says like I got this and I think that could start this Sunday together Saturday could some game game wrap confidence, so excited to see the second there.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I like this younger him self talking great.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_00]: I love democracy's income.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_00]: I just don't know if they see him as an outside corner.
- 13:15[SPEAKER_00]: Like, last season, they went with an Elon over him.
- 13:18[SPEAKER_00]: When they when they did play, it was more in an inside role.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_00]: I just, I don't know if they see him as an outside guy.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_00]: And he's a rookie played outside, but I don't know.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_00]: I think I think he can do it.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_00]: I'm a big democracy's income guy, but I don't know if they see him that way.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm going to be watching for something similar, I guess, discuss not just the secondary, but I'm just the rookies and the younger guys, how they respond to last week, especially some of the guys that's struggled.
- 13:46[SPEAKER_02]: The D line I really would like to see how Walker and Sanders and how they kind of
- 13:52[SPEAKER_02]: step up, Solomon, you know, the younger guys on the deal line.
- 13:56[SPEAKER_02]: Um, just the other respond.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_03]: And in addition to right.
- 14:00[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, yeah, yeah, but he definitely has like, this is one of the bigger.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_03]: adversities he's kind of faced like he hasn't really had any expectations but now kind of having a bigger role in the team right he does have this sort of adversity of having like a stinger and how does he bounce back from it expect him to be okay but let's see you know it's definitely intriguing topic for sure
- 14:23[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, because he played great special teams last year at a good first preseason game this year.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_02]: Um, and yeah, this past week was pretty brutal.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_02]: I almost did make that heck of the goal line, which, you know, some people were saying it was his fault.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_02]: That technically was not on him, a hundred percent when it came to that point.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_00]: At one yard line, if they don't score that point, they score on the next point.
- 14:43[SPEAKER_02]: It's more on, it's actually more on the.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_02]: I was a more on that side and I forgot who was they got blown up on the side whoever it was.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but either way, yeah, just hoping to see them bounce back and, you know, they don't have to have the greatest game ever, but just just, you know, show that you show what we expect of those flashes of, hey, they can make plays here and there and and continue to bounce back when they face adversity like he said, land so.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_02]: That's really what I'm working for when it comes to the week three game.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_02]: I did see a comment about this.
- 15:20[SPEAKER_02]: I'll just go right in to help you guys have anything more on week three for preseason.
- 15:25[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so as we saw the comment, I believe somebody asked if Gabe Davis did sign on your deal.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_02]: He did not sign.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_02]: He already was brought in for a believe this was his second visit.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_02]: He the medical team took a look at him.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_02]: from what was reported.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_02]: So Gabe Davis was, again, looked at, I know the Steelers were also looking at him.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_02]: So it's an interesting question.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_02]: I want people to go back and forward some people really want them back.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_02]: Some people say, keep them as far away from this team as possible.
- 15:55[SPEAKER_02]: So what do you guys think of Gabe Davis potentially returning?
- 15:59[SPEAKER_02]: Are you in favor or not in favor of it?
- 16:00[SPEAKER_02]: What do you think, Lance?
- 16:02[SPEAKER_03]: Man, we got to get Anthony Romeo on the line here and try to see Anthony and I have spirited debates about this in our chat, but I am a very pro Gabe Davis person.
- 16:14[SPEAKER_03]: I would love to have him back in the right role.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_03]: I don't want him back to be wide receiver to.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_03]: I don't think he's a wide receiver to in this NFL, but I think that his role in this team is a four or five.
- 16:27[SPEAKER_03]: Well, in the previous NFL where he broke records in the playoffs, he was all right.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_03]: But in today's NFL where he's not breaking records in the playoffs, then no, I mean, he's a wide receiver four or five.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_03]: If he can do those things that a wide receiver four or five do, which he does very well, the little things, the fundamentals, the greedy things.
- 16:48[SPEAKER_03]: And then yes, I want him on this football team, can the right role, I'd say there's a million times,
- 16:54[SPEAKER_03]: I believe on the show when we've talked about it multiple times when he was first released I guess and things like that is that yes he had a visit he's not signed and I wish they would sign him I would predict that he would come in and fill a role that would be very important and and help this team.
- 17:16[SPEAKER_02]: What do you think?
- 17:17[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 17:18[SPEAKER_00]: I would be fine if they brought back game Davis.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_00]: But like Lance said, he's not coming back to get sixty seventy targets.
- 17:25[SPEAKER_00]: He's not coming back to be why they're silver too.
- 17:28[SPEAKER_00]: The only thing I do wonder about if they are going to bring him back on a live receiver for five capacity would be can he and will he play special teams?
- 17:38[SPEAKER_00]: I know he didn't at the beginning.
- 17:39[SPEAKER_00]: He hasn't a few years.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_00]: I have a particular memory of being that good at them.
- 17:43[SPEAKER_00]: So that would be the thing.
- 17:44[SPEAKER_00]: But also like if Elijah Moore's live receiver for five, he's probably not playing special teams.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_00]: If Shavers is for five, he's absolutely playing special teams.
- 17:51[SPEAKER_00]: So you know, this this regime likes to look at
- 17:54[SPEAKER_00]: No, a complete football player, not just one side of the ball.
- 17:57[SPEAKER_00]: They're like, guys, he could do multiple things.
- 17:59[SPEAKER_00]: So if Gabe comes back as wide receiver for a five, it's all bought in on playing special teams.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_00]: And he knows he's going to dig out guys on run plays.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_00]: He's going to block on screens.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_00]: And he's going to be a good team.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_00]: He was a captain before he left and went to the Jaguar.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_00]: It's like they love him here.
- 18:12[SPEAKER_00]: He won the, what was it called, the iron bill, like the hardest working bill two years in a row.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_00]: Like, you know, he's going to be great in a locker room.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_00]: And we were talking about this in our group chat of like I don't think the bills have four wide receivers better than Gabe Davis.
- 18:26[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if any team in the NFL has four wide receivers better than Gabe Davis.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_00]: So to bring him back on a minimum contract to have him be wide receiver four or five, I'm all for it if he's willing to take on the role of a wide receiver four or five.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_02]: I'm kind of indifferent on it to be honest like I just don't really like if they do bring him back sure why not if they don't Gonna lose zero sleep over it not really gonna care like It'd be cool to kind of have that story of if Gabe comes back and plays well when he's called upon and it ends up being just a guy that kind of
- 19:07[SPEAKER_02]: turns the fans back around to him, instead of being against him, which it seems like majority people don't really want gay back.
- 19:16[SPEAKER_02]: So I mean, today's what it is when it comes to if he does or doesn't sign, I really
- 19:22[SPEAKER_02]: doesn't, doesn't make a huge difference for me.
- 19:24[SPEAKER_02]: So it's kind of the boring answer, but at the end of the day, it's, it is, it's Gabe Davis.
- 19:31[SPEAKER_02]: It's, I don't think it's going to be the reason or we win or lose Super Bowl if he comes in.
- 19:36[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, yeah, and I'll go with Christopher here as well.
- 19:41[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not even sure if he's, if he's necessarily of a need, like, we need a need.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, so like, it's one of the things where it's like, we don't need him, but it wouldn't hurt
- 19:51[SPEAKER_02]: have him come back, I don't think, so it doesn't make huge difference for me.
- 19:56[SPEAKER_02]: And when you're talking about special themes as well, that reminded me, no, I know we're going to talk about hard knocks in a little bit, but they show on the government data emphasized in it has hard knocks of people will make this team specifically for special teams.
- 20:10[SPEAKER_02]: So if guys are willing to play special teams, that ups your chance of making an esteem, if you can also play your position,
- 20:17[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, we have Gabe comes in.
- 20:19[SPEAKER_02]: I do expect him to have to place some special teams.
- 20:23[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll see though.
- 20:26[SPEAKER_02]: There were some injuries though.
- 20:27[SPEAKER_02]: This this past week in a preseason game, you know, Troy White as Scott mentioned, did go down.
- 20:32[SPEAKER_02]: There's no official really word on
- 20:36[SPEAKER_02]: what it is yet.
- 20:38[SPEAKER_02]: So that's going to be something to watch out for.
- 20:40[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously, if it's something bad, man, I don't even know.
- 20:44[SPEAKER_02]: It's with tray.
- 20:45[SPEAKER_02]: I feel so bad for them, but I hope it's not anything serious just like if it be else's.
- 20:50[SPEAKER_02]: Other news, Prather, Kate and Prather, the seventh round pick did get put on waivers, but he reverted to the IR there for the bills, because he did clear waivers.
- 20:59[SPEAKER_02]: So he is officially on the Andrew Richard Reserve.
- 21:01[SPEAKER_02]: same as DeKorea Kouch who I believe made some plays and at least the first preseason game of them that was taken was making some nice plays there.
- 21:09[SPEAKER_02]: So he also went to the engine editor of Darren Canavins went to the engine reserve.
- 21:13[SPEAKER_02]: Matthew Lairston is a quote unquote, a ways away.
- 21:17[SPEAKER_02]: So there's a bunch of injuries.
- 21:19[SPEAKER_02]: And I did see the question here from you, bud, it seemed like the bills that the bill's players suffer more injuries than the average NFL team.
- 21:25[SPEAKER_02]: If so, conditioning field conditions, I'm trying to go quick.
- 21:28[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think they do.
- 21:30[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it to us, I think, themes that way just because, again, it's our team, just like the same way when people look at brand and deans drafts.
- 21:38[SPEAKER_02]: They say they're comparing it to perfection.
- 21:40[SPEAKER_02]: They're not comparing it to the rest of the league or Sean McDermott.
- 21:42[SPEAKER_02]: They're comparing it to perfection.
- 21:43[SPEAKER_02]: Not the coaches around the rest of the league.
- 21:45[SPEAKER_02]: So it's one of those things where yeah, when we're looking at it, it's like, oh man, we just can't get over injuries, but every team has a lot of injuries, especially early on.
- 21:55[SPEAKER_02]: And usually actually the team that I hate to say usually has a lot of injuries is the Baltimore Ravens, which is like not early in the air.
- 22:02[SPEAKER_02]: So there are teams or if you look around that just injury reports, there's a lot of injuries that go around around in the league, it's the NFL, it's football.
- 22:09[SPEAKER_02]: So I don't think it has anything specific to do with the bills.
- 22:14[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, what do you guys think of kind of all of that?
- 22:17[SPEAKER_02]: One that question to Trayway getting hurt, Prath are getting moved, Scott, what do you think?
- 22:22[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you really hope to have something serious for Trey, like that would just suck so much.
- 22:27[SPEAKER_00]: He was having such a good camp.
- 22:28[SPEAKER_00]: He's worked back, mall is other injuries.
- 22:31[SPEAKER_00]: He was able to walk off the field and took like a cart up the tunnel, I think they said, so hopefully he just rolled an ankle or tweaked something, because that would really suck for him as a dude, but also, you know, he's would be able to out of CB-Q and three at that point, and then, you know, I was able to put an answer there.
- 22:49[SPEAKER_00]: or even worse cockpit.
- 22:51[SPEAKER_03]: You're a dude, we're all dudes.
- 22:55[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you hope it's not serious.
- 22:57[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, like we've normally gone through each injury in each roster.
- 23:00[SPEAKER_00]: But there was just too many this week to talk about how it's just hitting the high ones.
- 23:05[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, I don't think the bills have more injuries than any other team.
- 23:08[SPEAKER_00]: I just think we pay attention to the day-to-day.
- 23:10[SPEAKER_00]: Like, try your out as much as the rain was like, yeah, your throughout the practice for two weeks is no one really said anything.
- 23:15[SPEAKER_00]: Mleek neighbors didn't practice for two weeks, no one in the media really said anything.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_00]: Like we just pay attention to everything that they do, so it feels like more, but every team has a lot of injuries this time of year.
- 23:26[SPEAKER_00]: Every team has a lot of injuries all season, not just the nature of football, so I don't think it's at a high rate than any other team.
- 23:33[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I think historically we've been sort of lucky as far as injuries go and it's just a matter of like some of the concerning positions that we have like corner back was sort of a weaker position for this team going in and they made the moves they made but then some of those guys now they've added our hurt so meal max getting hurt is a big deal because like oh man we kind of brought in this first round pick to come in and play right away and that's just not going to happen now so it's a little bit of a you know panicky sort of
- 24:03[SPEAKER_03]: you know, viewpoint of just like it's perspective.
- 24:05[SPEAKER_03]: I think that right now we want Curtis Salmon of a healthy and he's not been, especially healthy all pre-season so far.
- 24:14[SPEAKER_03]: So you really do have to think like, yeah, I know some of the guys and some of the positions that are hurt
- 24:20[SPEAKER_03]: right now kind of are just exaggerating, you know, the team is a whole being injured.
- 24:28[SPEAKER_03]: And I think there there's going to be bumps and bruises throughout the entire preseason.
- 24:32[SPEAKER_03]: You see guys like miss a couple of practices here and there.
- 24:35[SPEAKER_03]: So I'll count on them a gover.
- 24:36[SPEAKER_03]: Kind of a gover not even dressed in the in the preseason game at all.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_03]: Just that's what a thing.
- 24:42[SPEAKER_03]: But, you know, he was doing fine at the pizza party.
- 24:44[SPEAKER_03]: So I think he he's good, but
- 24:46[SPEAKER_03]: Absolutely sick to hear about Tray.
- 24:48[SPEAKER_03]: I'm really hope that it's nothing keeping him out of game action week one, but what to wait?
- 24:55[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I don't have anything really to say about Tray right now.
- 24:58[SPEAKER_03]: There's nothing definitive that I've seen that would suggest his injury is one thing or another.
- 25:04[SPEAKER_03]: And I'll say this kind of each week and stuff when we talk about injuries on that
- 25:10[SPEAKER_03]: I'm just not going to claim to be some sort of injury expert.
- 25:13[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not a medical person.
- 25:15[SPEAKER_03]: So, you know, Paul, I'll report or say whatever's online or available to us, but I don't have any sort of projection or any.
- 25:27[SPEAKER_03]: But I can pretend to know anything more than that on tree white or any other injury, really, for that matter.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_03]: mentioned the pizza parties hard knocks was last was this past Tuesday again at nine o'clock if you missed it then you might want to
- 25:44[SPEAKER_03]: not listen to this segment because we're going to talk about hard knocks and we're going to spoil everything for you.
- 25:50[SPEAKER_03]: I'm just going to say, I love the pizza party thing.
- 25:53[SPEAKER_03]: It's great.
- 25:54[SPEAKER_03]: It was cool to see kind of the inside thing, you know, honor setting off the smoke detectors and stuff like that in his house.
- 26:01[SPEAKER_03]: I just thought it was a fun overall episode.
- 26:05[SPEAKER_03]: And any little glimpses we get inside of these
- 26:08[SPEAKER_03]: moments that we wouldn't otherwise some team meetings and other things I just I find it interesting and I'm entertained at least.
- 26:16[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah I mean yeah hard knocks I think is done a great job so far with the bills obviously I think the bills do have a heavy stay and what's being put out there as well.
- 26:27[SPEAKER_02]: But, yeah, I mean, I, I will say the one thing that stood out to me is actually the believe it's Jimmy Carlo, Carlo, and that's where I'm from.
- 26:39[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I think he was on draft of the agent that went to the Dreads last year, but then I believe it was a first play of first game release.
- 26:49[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, Dorsey's yell, but I don't think I'll make the team, but I kind of really hope that they bring him back on the practice squad, just because he's a guy that looks like if you need to step up and play at least special teams, right, for you.
- 27:04[SPEAKER_02]: Guy that motors are always going.
- 27:06[SPEAKER_02]: Also was rock in my favorite number thirty five.
- 27:09[SPEAKER_02]: So there's a plus there just a random one.
- 27:11[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, he's a guy that, you know, there's those stories every year with with hard knocks that you just fall in love with the players and more times than not the player does not make the team.
- 27:20[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, I really do do hope that they at least bring him back on practice squad.
- 27:26[SPEAKER_02]: It would shock me if he makes the E. fifty three.
- 27:28[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I'd be very, very shocked.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_02]: He makes fifty three.
- 27:31[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that was the number one thing that I wanted to talk about when it came to hard knocks was just shout out to him for working and making the most of his opportunities so far.
- 27:44[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he is a good story.
- 27:45[SPEAKER_00]: You know, he was really good at army.
- 27:47[SPEAKER_00]: He always kind of root for the service academy kids and then tough break last season, but yeah, definitely making the most of it.
- 27:53[SPEAKER_00]: I thought it was really cool that we got an inside look at the joint practice, especially because none of the starters really played in the game on Sunday night, but we got to see like, hey, this is the work they put in, this is what they did.
- 28:03[SPEAKER_00]: Like the offense and the defense, they were getting reps, ones on one, which is something that
- 28:09[SPEAKER_00]: better than preseason games to control environments.
- 28:12[SPEAKER_00]: So I thought that was really cool.
- 28:14[SPEAKER_00]: And then just getting to see kind of like the lighter side of some of the guys.
- 28:17[SPEAKER_00]: Like when John Dries and picked off the ball and Josh Allen chasing down and popped out of his hands like that.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_00]: And that was just really funny.
- 28:23[SPEAKER_00]: Just the end of the pizza party was cool too.
- 28:26[SPEAKER_00]: So we did that playing football.
- 28:27[SPEAKER_00]: We'd have free game winners at someone's house and kind of brought me back to those.
- 28:31[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, we did that in high school.
- 28:32[SPEAKER_00]: It's really cool that this team does that at the NFL level.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't think a lot of teams do stuff like that.
- 28:41[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, good stuff.
- 28:44[SPEAKER_03]: I concur with most of your sentiments.
- 28:48[SPEAKER_03]: If you haven't done so yet, please like and share this episode.

- 29:55[SPEAKER_03]: get done here and then also seven one slicks for this sick haircut that I got that Scott admired so much when we first popped on here so really appreciate the compliments from Scott and Dennis O'Ret seven one slicks does a pretty
- 30:11[SPEAKER_03]: Good job.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_03]: We're going to try to get something going with him and see where that goes.
- 30:15[SPEAKER_03]: So more to come from that, but someone's slicks is over on Broadway in the landcaster area.
- 30:21[SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, it's such a good job.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_00]: He made you look good.
- 30:25[SPEAKER_00]: That's no easy task.
- 30:26[SPEAKER_03]: So it's got to do it.
- 30:27[SPEAKER_03]: See, legit.
- 30:30[SPEAKER_03]: I have like real defined eyebrows and everything.
- 30:33[SPEAKER_03]: It's pretty cool.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_03]: So anyways.
- 30:38[SPEAKER_03]: Um, let's get in.
- 30:39[SPEAKER_03]: We're going to do the, um, fifty three man roster projections now.
- 30:43[SPEAKER_03]: So let's get into that and Scott, you want to kick us off with your quarterbacks, making this team.
- 30:50[SPEAKER_00]: Mike White and Mitch Krabis next.
- 30:55[SPEAKER_00]: I got Josh Allen and then Mitch Tribisky.
- 30:58[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think he's done anything to lose the job.
- 31:00[SPEAKER_00]: Mike White certainly hasn't done anything to take the job.
- 31:02[SPEAKER_00]: I think he trusts Mitch more than Mike White.
- 31:05[SPEAKER_00]: And I think like Mitch fits the play style better of this offense.
- 31:09[SPEAKER_00]: He's gone for a bit.
- 31:10[SPEAKER_00]: Anything happened to Josh Allen.
- 31:11[SPEAKER_00]: I think Mitch is a bit more mobile.
- 31:13[SPEAKER_00]: It's kind of what they're trying to do.
- 31:14[SPEAKER_00]: So Josh and Mitch.
- 31:16[SPEAKER_03]: Mitch fits well.
- 31:17[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 31:18[SPEAKER_03]: Josh and Mitch, I concur.
- 31:20[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm saying the same thing.
- 31:21[SPEAKER_02]: I think Mike Wade will be back on the practice squad because of how I think Sunday kind of lost any chance of any other team picking him up because he did not play the best.
- 31:31[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, I think it's Mitch and Josh as well.
- 31:36[SPEAKER_03]: We have for our bees.
- 31:38[SPEAKER_02]: Our bees.
- 31:39[SPEAKER_02]: As over our bees, I will RB slash fullback because I'm just counting to on Reggie Gilliam in there.
- 31:46[SPEAKER_02]: Gilliam, I'm thinking it's going to be there.
- 31:49[SPEAKER_02]: Ty Johnson, Ray Davis, James Cook, as great as there would be for Frank Orange Jr to make this team.
- 31:54[SPEAKER_02]: I just don't see it happening.
- 31:57[SPEAKER_02]: I don't see obviously they brought back Ty Johnson on a contract, so not gonna cut him, James Cook just got an extension not going anywhere.
- 32:05[SPEAKER_02]: And Ray Davis, as much as some people would probably, I saw at least some people being in favor of getting right away Davis and keeping Frank Orange Jr.
- 32:14[SPEAKER_02]: I think great Davis is better football player and I think the bills know that so I think the bills will keep great Davis.
- 32:22[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I'm going James Cook, great Davis, Ty Johnson, Reggie Helium is for running back slash fullbacks.
- 32:31[SPEAKER_00]: Did it, but I do think Frank Gore, they're trying to bring him back on the practice squad.
- 32:36[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe he goes somewhere else, try to get another shot.
- 32:38[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe it's a shot on a fifty three somewhere, which would be awesome for him.
- 32:41[SPEAKER_00]: I think they want him back.
- 32:43[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if he'll make it back.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's just tough for receivers to if you're running back right now with this room to make it roster.
- 32:52[SPEAKER_02]: But as I just kind of slipped up next obviously is receiver.
- 32:56[SPEAKER_02]: receiver this thing on the big one five or six what are they doing here who's going to get cut who's going to be kept scat who are your five or six receivers making the fifty three so I have close here young Coleman Joshua Palmer Curtis Samuel Lazar Moore and that's
- 33:21[SPEAKER_00]: I only have to keep in mind.
- 33:22[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think Terrell Shavers makes this roster and I don't think it's anything to do with him or him not playing well or him.
- 33:32[SPEAKER_00]: Not doing everything he could have done to make the roster.
- 33:35[SPEAKER_00]: I just don't think that this team likes to keep five receivers.
- 33:41[SPEAKER_00]: They've only, excuse me, six or six receivers.
- 33:44[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they've only done it a few times over the years.
- 33:48[SPEAKER_00]: They've been five in the last couple of years.
- 33:50[SPEAKER_00]: And even if they were to keep shivers, I don't really know how much run he would really get.
- 33:54[SPEAKER_00]: So there's a tweet from Hanson over at cover one.
- 33:57[SPEAKER_00]: So as far as like bills, number six receivers and what they've done.
- 34:00[SPEAKER_00]: In twenty-twenty is Andre Roberts, he's more of a returner, four catches, thirty-four yards, twenty-twenty-one, twenty-twenty-one, it was Jake Cumero, two catches for twenty-eight yards, and he was more of a special team to guy.
- 34:10[SPEAKER_00]: Twenty-twenty-two, Jake Cumero again, four catches, sixty-four yards, twenty-twenty-three they didn't have one, last year they didn't have one, and they did Virgil for a little bit, and he didn't play any offense on all special teams.
- 34:21[SPEAKER_00]: While I think Terrell Shavers is good enough to be a receiver in this league, I just don't think the team is going to keep six receivers when they've shown to us that they're not going to use them very much.
- 34:31[SPEAKER_00]: I think that the roster spot will go to somebody else like a Brandon Converington or an extra defensive player where they need to help more.
- 34:38[SPEAKER_00]: So I think they keep five receivers and to really big bummer for Shavers because he's a guy who deserves to be in the league.
- 34:44[SPEAKER_00]: I just think it's unfortunate that they don't have a spot for him.
- 34:48[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's really hard to come up with this.
- 34:51[SPEAKER_03]: We were kind of scrambling or changing our thing, our predictions sooner because I think Scott had maybe six, right?
- 35:00[SPEAKER_03]: Originally, and then I still kept my six, but with the tray white uncertainty, we just don't know so that may affect how people get kept or not kept.
- 35:10[SPEAKER_03]: And also throughout this, you know, there's going to be some guys that I'm
- 35:16[SPEAKER_03]: leaving off because I just don't know that though, I think they'll either start on an IR or just not, you know, because of the injury, not be counted as part of the fifty three, but have a chance to return.
- 35:26[SPEAKER_03]: So we'll see how that plays out.
- 35:29[SPEAKER_03]: But I'm going Cleo Schier, Keon Coleman, Josh Palmer, Curtis Samuel, Elijah Moore, and the Biscuit Chanel.
- 35:35[SPEAKER_03]: getting the special teams role there.
- 35:37[SPEAKER_03]: As I mentioned earlier, I think they're doing some things where they were playing him in the game, getting him some reps there, but also getting him some special teams reps additionally.
- 35:48[SPEAKER_03]: So I'm not a Brendan Convierant and fan.
- 35:51[SPEAKER_03]: I wish to do all the best in the world.
- 35:53[SPEAKER_03]: I just think that we could have someone better on the team to do more things than simply return and that's it.
- 36:02[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm actually
- 36:04[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to change the place I said before the show just a little bit.
- 36:09[SPEAKER_02]: And kind of might be a little bit surprising here, but I'm going to go with six, but I'm actually going to go Shakir, Coleman, Palmer, Curtis Samuel,
- 36:20[SPEAKER_02]: and shivers, I think Elijah Moore will be the one surprise cut the bills half this year.
- 36:25[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously did not look good against the bears.
- 36:28[SPEAKER_02]: Really struggled with, like, he had two drops, misread a screen where he just took the wrong lane.
- 36:36[SPEAKER_02]: And it just seemed like you haven't really heard too much about him besides, I believe, one or two days maybe the entire camp practices.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_02]: So I think, you know, Chanel,
- 36:49[SPEAKER_02]: could make this team as a returner, especially if they get a contract, it's going to be one of the two, I think, stay on this team.
- 36:55[SPEAKER_02]: And she all has looks good, and then I think Shavers just makes this team.
- 37:00[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, to me, what has Elijah Moore done to make this team that Shavers hasn't, I think Shavers has done more to make this team than Elijah Moore has.
- 37:10[SPEAKER_02]: Elijah Moore, yeah, he has the pedigree of being from pick, not playing with other good quarterbacks.
- 37:17[SPEAKER_02]: a second round pack was it is early white is like thirty four something was it yeah exactly thirty four yeah thirty four thirty five yeah you know he has the resume maybe to be over favors like I just think it's they're gonna have to make some tough cuts and I that's gonna be my one surprise caught there and also because I will get obviously caught into a little bit later I
- 37:42[SPEAKER_02]: think that Trinota will be the returner there.
- 37:44[SPEAKER_02]: So I do think they keep six.
- 37:46[SPEAKER_02]: I think Trinota's that special team's only guy.
- 37:48[SPEAKER_02]: Shivers will be Ryder Sieber five if they need them to play and he can also play special teams as well.
- 37:54[SPEAKER_02]: So those are my five or six there for Ryder Sieber.
- 37:57[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know who said it.
- 37:59[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe it was Scott.
- 38:00[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe it wasn't
- 38:02[SPEAKER_03]: But they're mentioning that like KJ Hamler can play the Elijah Moore role better than Elijah Moore right now.
- 38:09[SPEAKER_03]: It seems, and maybe that was somebody else in our VIP chat, I'm not sure.
- 38:12[SPEAKER_03]: But that's a big comment, not necessarily whether it's true or not, but if someone believes that, then there may be something to what you're saying about Elijah Moore.
- 38:22[SPEAKER_03]: being that value there I do like the pedigree I think that like this is the time to make mistakes so if he does screw up a little bit here they're not going to
- 38:33[SPEAKER_03]: just hold that against him because they'd know what he can do and what he's capable of versus like you know making a mistake like dropping a pass and things like that and don't know what they've seen from him in practices and things as he made that play like when I went to training camp back in July, twenty-fourth now he was making those plays and he was they were force feeding him the ball throughout the session I was at and it seemed like he was getting a lot more Iran and doing very well so
- 39:02[SPEAKER_03]: It abs and flows and I couldn't understand what you're saying about the Elijah Moore thing.
- 39:06[SPEAKER_03]: I think if they're going to get rid of somebody it would be maybe trading Curtis Samuel but then on the other hand it's like Joe Brady literally said that he wants as many Curtis Samials on this team as he can get so Elijah Moore would sort of fit that mold too and not that they're the exact same guy but they definitely have some of the same tendencies and traits and abilities.
- 39:30[SPEAKER_00]: More also hasn't really gotten help from the quarterback like in the preseason.
- 39:34[SPEAKER_00]: There was the play in the first week where he's run a naked down the field for a touchdown and it just takes the check-down or there was that he ran a crack on dude.
- 39:44[SPEAKER_00]: You were there.
- 39:44[SPEAKER_00]: I wasn't your words.
- 39:46[SPEAKER_00]: And then you ran a nice corn around on Sunday night and Mike White under threw him by like ten yards.
- 39:51[SPEAKER_00]: So like he's getting open.
- 39:52[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think we can blame him for who is throwing.
- 39:56[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not going to say throwing him the ball.
- 39:58[SPEAKER_00]: It's throwing the ball to his general vicinity because it's not to him.
- 40:03[SPEAKER_02]: to the lands as point of, you know, they were kind of fortunate and ball.
- 40:06[SPEAKER_02]: Sometimes they do give that they want these guys to get looks and if you take advantage, you take advantage and unfortunately sometimes as Scott said, sometimes it's not their fault entirely that they, whether it's Mr or whatever.
- 40:20[SPEAKER_02]: Look, that's there.
- 40:22[SPEAKER_02]: I do think that's a take by me.
- 40:25[SPEAKER_02]: It is a bolder take by me to say that I'll Azure more or we'll get cut.
- 40:29[SPEAKER_02]: I just think for sure, Shavers, I think it's making this roster.
- 40:33[SPEAKER_02]: I do think, yeah, I think teams would trade for Samuel.
- 40:37[SPEAKER_02]: It's not like the bad of a contract.
- 40:39[SPEAKER_02]: And obviously, nobody's interested.
- 40:40[SPEAKER_02]: It's really not that bad of a contract at all, especially for a player that has been able to perform in the NFL.
- 40:46[SPEAKER_02]: I just like when Lance said, I think Joe Brady loves him.
- 40:49[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think they're going to be moving on from him.
- 40:52[SPEAKER_02]: So if they do have a surprise receiver cut out of those five Samuel Palmer Coleman's cure, I think more would be the one odd man out there just because I think they really love Samuel.
- 41:03[SPEAKER_02]: I think obviously Palmer Coleman's cure a lot.
- 41:05[SPEAKER_02]: So it could happen definitely for sure that that more makes the team I wouldn't be shocked at all if he makes this team.
- 41:14[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, I'm going to go with those six that kind of a bolder take there that, you know, there's always one or two surprises every year when the final cut day and I think that's a possibility.
- 41:23[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll see.
- 41:26[SPEAKER_02]: Some other weapons that one offense is the tight opposition and the tight opposition because I don't think it's another one that, you know, it's kind of
- 41:34[SPEAKER_02]: expected here.
- 41:36[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going with the two date decays.
- 41:38[SPEAKER_02]: Dalton can K Dawson knocks Jacks and Hawes.
- 41:42[SPEAKER_02]: You don't spend a pick on and I tied in like that and not keep him and I'm probably blanking on his name right out.
- 41:49[SPEAKER_02]: Zack Davidson has struggled so far a couple of travel preseason.
- 41:55[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, real bad.
- 41:57[SPEAKER_02]: So I just don't think he's done enough to outperform Jacks and Hawes and like I said, I don't think he just gave rid of Jacks and Hawes.
- 42:04[SPEAKER_02]: What do you think?
- 42:05[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, it's got.
- 42:06[SPEAKER_00]: Didn't know.
- 42:08[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 42:08[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 42:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 42:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 42:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 42:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 42:09[SPEAKER_00]: Same guy.
- 42:10[SPEAKER_00]: I think all three of us have the same guys though.
- 42:11[SPEAKER_03]: Three tight ends.
- 42:12[SPEAKER_03]: Let's do it.
- 42:13[SPEAKER_03]: Offensive line.
- 42:14[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to go with the starters.
- 42:15[SPEAKER_03]: Dion Dawkins, David Edwards, Connor McGevere and Osiris Torrance, Spencer Brown.
- 42:21[SPEAKER_03]: and then Alec Anderson, Ryan van the Mark, Tyler and Grable and Kendra Green.
- 42:27[SPEAKER_03]: Here's one of those situations where I don't know that van praying Rangers back enough to be on the fifthy three.
- 42:32[SPEAKER_03]: He may either be on IR or, yeah, I'm not sure what the alternative is for van praying Ranger at this point.
- 42:41[SPEAKER_03]: If he's close enough to return, maybe he can get him on there, but I haven't seen enough to suggest that he would be.
- 42:50[SPEAKER_03]: going to be kept and I'm going to pick him to make the team over any yola fo show as a linebacker later on we'll talk about that side if if ramping Ranger has to be kept on the team because they're not going to put them on IR and they want to play
- 43:07[SPEAKER_03]: the roster number in a scheme that I'm going to take him as the tenth alignment, but as it stands now I'm going to suggest that they put him on IR designated to return and he doesn't count as part of the sixty three exercise.
- 43:24[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I got five starters.
- 43:27[SPEAKER_00]: I put Van Perng Ranger on there just because we don't really know what's going on with him.
- 43:33[SPEAKER_00]: So, and I think he makes the team.
- 43:35[SPEAKER_00]: So I put him on there if he starts on IR, then it opens his bottle, obviously.
- 43:38[SPEAKER_00]: And then Alc Anderson, Van Damark.
- 43:41[SPEAKER_00]: And then I'm torn between Crabble and Lunch for that last spa.
- 43:44[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think they keep ten o'clock.
- 43:46[SPEAKER_00]: They'd be either kept nine or ten in the past.
- 43:48[SPEAKER_00]: They kept nine last year.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe they keep ten and they both make it because I know they really like Crabble, but I think they like Lunch versatility a little bit better because I know you play it all right, Taffle and College, but he's been playing a lot of guard and even left guard, preseason.
- 44:03[SPEAKER_00]: He was awesome in week one, struggled a little bit last week.
- 44:07[SPEAKER_03]: You see, like a guy that can go to a practice squad though, is for lunch.
- 44:13[SPEAKER_03]: Or do you think you'd be sure that someone would probably grab?
- 44:17[SPEAKER_00]: I think they both probably could be honest with you.
- 44:19[SPEAKER_00]: Like they're both late round picks.
- 44:20[SPEAKER_00]: They both like, I don't think they have a ton of action out there.
- 44:26[SPEAKER_00]: I would probably say as of right this second one makes the team just because he's this year's draft pick.
- 44:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and I think it's between those two for the last spot and it goes maybe they keep telling they both make it.
- 44:39[SPEAKER_00]: And then yeah, if S. B. P. G. Starts on I are then I also have kind of green because I really think we have any other centers.
- 44:48[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm going with the five starters.
- 44:52[SPEAKER_02]: Dion Edwards would over in the styros and.
- 44:59[SPEAKER_02]: Spencer Brown.
- 44:59[SPEAKER_02]: So those are my five Alec Anderson's going to be the other one.
- 45:02[SPEAKER_02]: I think they keep both Grable and Lunt.
- 45:05[SPEAKER_02]: So I think that.
- 45:06[SPEAKER_02]: And then for me, the last spot, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if,
- 45:26[SPEAKER_02]: where he panelly wise just didn't really play too well in general.
- 45:30[SPEAKER_02]: You already have a guy that want to play right tackle, gravell can play left tackle, want can also move inside.
- 45:36[SPEAKER_02]: So, as much as they love Vandermark, he's a great locker room guy and very loved by the old line that could be another tough cut that they make.
- 45:45[SPEAKER_02]: So, I think Kendra Green or Vampire and Granger whichever one.
- 45:50[SPEAKER_02]: Um, and I do think man marks another kind of surprising cut because you know, you can keep kind of grable and want to guys that they think they do like and end up still keeping Alec Anderson.
- 46:02[SPEAKER_02]: You have your center then there.
- 46:03[SPEAKER_02]: So that's going to be my other surprise one at the end of the day.
- 46:06[SPEAKER_02]: It's another one or again won't be shocked if you know, just another look good locker room guy keeps keeps everybody happy keep him there.
- 46:14[SPEAKER_02]: But I think if they're looking at the future as well as what you've seen so far, I think that want as look pretty good, great old age love.
- 46:23[SPEAKER_02]: Those two guys might be able to get a spot over them.
- 46:26[SPEAKER_02]: But it's going to be between two out of those three will make this team.
- 46:29[SPEAKER_02]: And it's going to be tough on who they decide.
- 46:32[SPEAKER_02]: But we'll see.
- 46:32[SPEAKER_02]: So those are going to be my nine there for the offensive line.
- 46:36[SPEAKER_03]: I was just going to keep the same heat and then we'll clap.
- 46:39[SPEAKER_03]: I think was on there last and he's not here anymore.
- 46:43[SPEAKER_03]: It's where I've kind of put green, but I do like the idea of lunch.
- 46:46[SPEAKER_03]: I think that Ryan tell that actually suggested that they could probably trade Ryan van the mark.
- 46:54[SPEAKER_03]: this preseason and that would open up the spot for lunch to be there.
- 47:00[SPEAKER_03]: And I like that idea a lot.
- 47:01[SPEAKER_03]: So if they are able to swing a trade for a late-round pick for Ryan Vandermark, I do like lunch to be in there.
- 47:08[SPEAKER_03]: But as of now, I do have Vandermark, the veteran presence being there and making the team then Tyler and Grable, I think they would like more than lunch given his stature with the team.
- 47:20[SPEAKER_03]: And I think they
- 47:21[SPEAKER_03]: probably would believe that fun to could make the practice squad and be just fine there and be elevated if needed and and that's where I'm at on that but before we go to defense do you think right random arcs mine and I'll give the credit to like I said to Ryan tell but for the idea
- 47:38[SPEAKER_03]: But do you think there's an offensive player that gets traded?
- 47:41[SPEAKER_03]: And if so whom?
- 47:43[SPEAKER_03]: Who's the most likely in your mind?
- 47:45[SPEAKER_03]: You have to trade one of these guys, then I'm going to say, who are you going to trade from this offensive?
- 47:50[SPEAKER_03]: Offends if we're not offensive line, but offensive move.
- 47:54[SPEAKER_00]: I kind of feel like they won't trade Vandamerate just because he's the only one of the backup offensive line then in this group who has starting experience.
- 48:05[SPEAKER_00]: Especially at the tackle position.
- 48:07[SPEAKER_00]: Like he played really well when he started last year.
- 48:09[SPEAKER_00]: He's the kind of guy I know he didn't play great against the bear.
- 48:13[SPEAKER_00]: He had a couple bad fall starts, but like he has regular season NFL tape from last year that's good.
- 48:19[SPEAKER_00]: And I think with guys like that who are vets like that means more than just like what they do in a meaningless preseason game.
- 48:25[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't think they trade him.
- 48:28[SPEAKER_00]: I think he makes the team just because especially the Spencer Brown and his back, you might need him.
- 48:34[SPEAKER_00]: So I think Van and Van were seeing if they are going to trade somebody we met really I think it probably be Curtis Samuel as much as they say they like him
- 48:42[SPEAKER_00]: But he would just kind of be the odd man out.
- 48:44[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think anybody else really is tradable based on their contract and when they brought them in.
- 48:50[SPEAKER_00]: So if anybody gets traded, I would say Curtis and nobody.
- 48:52[SPEAKER_00]: I think Band-in-Mark is here, because they like him.
- 48:55[SPEAKER_00]: He can play either tackle.
- 48:56[SPEAKER_00]: He's more comfortable on the right.
- 48:58[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe that is something new with them looking shaky on the left.
- 49:00[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, he has, like, tape where he looks good.
- 49:07[SPEAKER_02]: Sorry, he just got sidetracked by something.
- 49:11[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, I think if there isn't offensive trade, I think Van der Merck's the option there.
- 49:18[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think anybody does get traded though.
- 49:20[SPEAKER_02]: I really don't.
- 49:21[SPEAKER_02]: I just think offensively that little keep it as is and then just make cuts that they need.
- 49:27[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, I do think that yeah, I think that out of everybody, Van der Merck would be the most.
- 49:33[SPEAKER_02]: I just think they'll really like her to Samuel and they won't want to get rid of him.
- 49:39[SPEAKER_02]: And yeah, so that's the
- 49:41[SPEAKER_02]: That's my take on that.
- 49:43[SPEAKER_02]: And where's the forest gone?
- 49:47[SPEAKER_00]: It's all I have to say about that.
- 49:49[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that's what some defense Scott Cassen.
- 49:53[SPEAKER_00]: So it's start with the edge position in what probably would be a lot tougher of a move.
- 50:01[SPEAKER_00]: But Michael Hoig to being suspended as well as Larry Obejoby at the defensive tackle position kind of gives them
- 50:09[SPEAKER_00]: six weeks to figure it out.
- 50:11[SPEAKER_00]: I've both done group AJ who maybe is a guy who could get traded.
- 50:16[SPEAKER_00]: It's every single mock trade that anybody in fills mafia makes always has AJ up a mess and I'm like if you
- 50:22[SPEAKER_00]: If you didn't know better, you'd think he was like the Battle of the NFL ball with every team.
- 50:27[SPEAKER_00]: Get him.
- 50:27[SPEAKER_00]: He's mocked trades.
- 50:30[SPEAKER_00]: But I don't think they're going to trade him.
- 50:32[SPEAKER_00]: I think he makes it and then Javan Solomon and Landon Jackson will go to be suspended.
- 50:38[SPEAKER_00]: They never submit your thing.
- 50:39[SPEAKER_00]: Decisions to make it.
- 50:41[SPEAKER_00]: It wasn't suspended because I don't know what you do there.
- 50:44[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I have those five off the rib.
- 50:48[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I have same exact five there, just because, you know, Hoyt is getting suspended, which I do know it is pronounced white for anybody wondering it's very weird spelling, but yeah, I do think.
- 51:03[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, you said, but I do know, past shows you've been saying, hope to something.
- 51:09[SPEAKER_02]: But I don't know, you just said now.
- 51:10[SPEAKER_02]: I just am saying that for everybody in general.
- 51:13[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so, we'll be suspended.
- 51:15[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and I think both are group, Adrian, Javan, and Ajax, and I'll keep making it.
- 51:21[SPEAKER_02]: The one guy I was worried about now making it in Salomon, I really hope they keep him still and keep moving forward with his progression.
- 51:29[SPEAKER_02]: And then I do have him making
- 51:34[SPEAKER_03]: will be here until week six or seven.
- 51:37[SPEAKER_03]: And Michael White comes back.
- 51:39[SPEAKER_03]: And if they haven't moved AJ by then, they won't.
- 51:42[SPEAKER_03]: And Solomon's sort of the odd man out from me in that equation.
- 51:46[SPEAKER_03]: Michael White's going to be fantastic.
- 51:48[SPEAKER_03]: I'm super, I guess that could have been something I said we learned last week, but we already learned it.
- 51:53[SPEAKER_03]: We've seen it all precious.
- 51:55[SPEAKER_03]: They just could be really good.
- 51:57[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm sort of
- 51:59[SPEAKER_03]: almost happy in a way that some of these teams are going to get to see him for the first six weeks.
- 52:05[SPEAKER_03]: And then, you know, we talked about the Baltimore Vio where we may see them in the postseason.
- 52:09[SPEAKER_03]: Hey, we could see a scenario where Buffalo gets the one seed and we don't have to see Kansas City or Baltimore that likely means we'll see maybe the bangles or someone in the AFC Championship or the Broncos.
- 52:21[SPEAKER_03]: So see how that pans out, but it would be ideal.
- 52:25[SPEAKER_03]: But if we
- 52:26[SPEAKER_03]: Play the odds here, we're probably going to see Baltimore in the postseason and playing them without Michael Hoyt in the first week and then having a completely different team basically in the playoffs with him, I think, would be pretty awesome.
- 52:39[SPEAKER_03]: So, excited for that.
- 52:41[SPEAKER_03]: Got both servers show FMSO, Solomon, and Jackson for those guys.
- 52:45[SPEAKER_03]: for the details got Oliver Dequan Jones, TJ Sanders, Dion Walker, and Wayne Carter.
- 52:52[SPEAKER_03]: Again, with Ogon Joby suspension, makes it super easy to go with those guys and then they'll figure out whether or not they even keep Ogon Joby.
- 53:02[SPEAKER_03]: Like, there's a chance Ogon Joby just gets cut and yeah, I'm not sure.
- 53:06[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe they like him enough to keep him.
- 53:08[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not sure what the dead money is.
- 53:09[SPEAKER_03]: So I've that maybe an ignorant comment based upon finances, but on the surface, I just feel like he's
- 53:16[SPEAKER_03]: a guy that, you know, they haven't seen a lot of, I haven't really seen anything from him in the preseason that says, yeah, I can't wait to get him.
- 53:22[SPEAKER_03]: And we've seen a hoi really shine in the preseason.
- 53:25[SPEAKER_03]: So, you know, I'm not sure if Ogon Joby has really done anything.
- 53:30[SPEAKER_03]: I will go back this week and try to see if we've seen anything on tape from this guy because, you know, what there hasn't been a lot for me to look forward to in Ogon Joby's presence coming after this suspension.
- 53:45[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he's five million guaranteed three million three point four million dead caps.
- 53:50[SPEAKER_00]: I'd be surprised if they caught him.
- 53:52[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, probably not going to cut them.
- 53:54[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 53:56[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I got the same details though.
- 53:59[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'd do I know to people in slow and doing Carter's name out there.
- 54:03[SPEAKER_02]: I just I don't want to pick up on him and then I'll suddenly build some morale.
- 54:08[SPEAKER_02]: Whether it's trade, cut, whatever, and perform well.
- 54:14[SPEAKER_02]: So I do think he makes the team, especially with on with Jobi obviously getting suspended, and then we'll see what moves they make.
- 54:21[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, who knows?
- 54:22[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe Dequan Jones is a guy that he's not playing well and then
- 54:26[SPEAKER_02]: Open joke, Joe becomes back, and he's the guy that's the odd man out there.
- 54:29[SPEAKER_02]: So it's going to be tough when these two do come back with Hoyt and Open Joe be to see what they do make decision-wise.
- 54:37[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously, I'm not so maybe he gets traded, what we'll see.
- 54:41[SPEAKER_02]: But I think for now, don't rock with those ten defensive linemen there and then go from there.
- 54:50[SPEAKER_00]: I'm the same five, so move it along.
- 54:54[SPEAKER_02]: Wine Decker, we got next, obviously.
- 54:55[SPEAKER_02]: So, Wine Decker is another interesting group because there's just a couple of guys who are maybe used a lot of people have them all.
- 55:01[SPEAKER_02]: They're getting cut.
- 55:02[SPEAKER_02]: They're not.
- 55:03[SPEAKER_02]: I think we can all agree, ma'am, I don't know, trouble in our door and Williams all making it.
- 55:08[SPEAKER_02]: And I also have Buffalo Joe making it.
- 55:11[SPEAKER_02]: I just think I know he had one bad game and people are reacting of all the stories been nice.
- 55:17[SPEAKER_02]: One bad game does not ruin the story because he played well in the first recent game.
- 55:20[SPEAKER_02]: He played well.
- 55:21[SPEAKER_02]: Special teams this past season and he had a good good season last his rookie year as well.
- 55:26[SPEAKER_02]: So I think he makes the team.
- 55:28[SPEAKER_02]: You don't have a middle line backer.
- 55:29[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, Shrap Thompson, I guess could play in there.
- 55:33[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, a linebacker, but I think they'd rather have Buffalo Joe there.
- 55:38[SPEAKER_02]: So I have Buffalo Joe, Adiel, Fosio, and I also have Shrap Thompson actually.
- 55:43[SPEAKER_02]: So I do have all
- 55:45[SPEAKER_02]: six was at six of them six of them making it.
- 55:48[SPEAKER_02]: I think they're going to want some depth there at linebacker.
- 55:51[SPEAKER_02]: If they do cut somebody, I'm going to say that's going to be going to be Shack Thompson.
- 55:55[SPEAKER_03]: Shout out to Nixon motto to on X there.
- 55:59[SPEAKER_02]: I use that.
- 56:00[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, because that's really good.
- 56:03[SPEAKER_03]: Really good stuff by Nick.
- 56:04[SPEAKER_03]: I met him at Potathon.
- 56:06[SPEAKER_03]: I've had I did for Ranting Ron and getting his son a liver.
- 56:09[SPEAKER_03]: So Nick was a cool
- 56:12[SPEAKER_03]: person to meet and really good informative tweet that he put out with the positions by year.
- 56:19[SPEAKER_03]: And only one year have they only kept five linebackers, which is a twenty twenty three.
- 56:23[SPEAKER_03]: I agree with Ben.
- 56:24[SPEAKER_03]: They're going to keep six.
- 56:26[SPEAKER_03]: I have those exact six in Milano Bernard and Jason Williams, Yola Fochio and Thompson.
- 56:34[SPEAKER_03]: with a caveat that if they do keep ten lineman for some reason, because of vanPray and Granger's situation, and if they really want a lunch on the team or vanMarker, whomever that Yola Fosho would be my
- 56:52[SPEAKER_03]: odd man out there but he hasn't really had a great preseason thus far and would would be looking for a little bit more from him in his second year coming up just not seeing it so that's where I would be at linebacker.
- 57:11[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I only have him keep him five linebackers
- 57:15[SPEAKER_00]: Tomson gets caught and Eddie makes the team.
- 57:18[SPEAKER_00]: Shack is one of my last three cuts.
- 57:21[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's right on the bubble, but I think it becomes down to Eddie and Shack.
- 57:26[SPEAKER_00]: They keep their draft pick.
- 57:27[SPEAKER_00]: They keep the guy.
- 57:28[SPEAKER_00]: They have three more years of team control on a cheap deal versus the one year veteran rental.
- 57:34[SPEAKER_00]: I think the only game he played last year was the season finale.
- 57:38[SPEAKER_00]: So we haven't really seen much on tape for him.
- 57:40[SPEAKER_00]: He hasn't looked awesome in the preseason but again like who has honestly.
- 57:46[SPEAKER_00]: So I think I think we're going to keep five just because there's Michael Hoyt has we talked about that.
- 57:52[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah right.
- 57:55[SPEAKER_00]: Josh Allen's played great and not no one completes.
- 57:58[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think they keep five and I think if it comes down to an eddy and shack, all things being equal, take the guy you drafted, have three years in control of any sort of Alaska.
- 58:07[SPEAKER_00]: Tough guys are from Alaska.
- 58:10[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I'm actually talking on that into Alaska.
- 58:13[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm actually tough on it.
- 58:15[SPEAKER_02]: It's another one where it's like the bottom of that depth of where who's going to be where.
- 58:19[SPEAKER_02]: Who is going to be on this team?
- 58:20[SPEAKER_02]: Another tough one is corner though, especially now with Max being, you know, kind of taking a little bit to come back and try white now.
- 58:27[SPEAKER_02]: We don't know, obviously the extent of it.
- 58:30[SPEAKER_02]: So these ones I think are going to be against subject to change.
- 58:35[SPEAKER_02]: So what do you got Scott for your cornerbacks here?
- 58:41[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, this is a top one for me.
- 58:43[SPEAKER_00]: I went back and forth on this for a while with how many they're going to keep.
- 58:47[SPEAKER_00]: I originally had Chambers making it, Dame getting caught, but with the tray white getting, getting her today.
- 58:53[SPEAKER_00]: We don't know how serious it is, so I'm going into this assuming he's healthy.
- 58:57[SPEAKER_00]: But at least early in the year before Max is back, I've maxed starting on IR, because they said he's a ways away, and there's no use in rushing him back, and especially with tray white being cornered back too, but I hate to say it, but like,
- 59:10[SPEAKER_00]: You could get hurt in any second.
- 59:12[SPEAKER_00]: But he's probably not going to be able to play the whole game.
- 59:15[SPEAKER_00]: He hasn't done that almost two full seasons now.
- 59:19[SPEAKER_00]: So I think they're going to need more bodies that corner early in the year because they're going to have to rotate more or God forbid, you know, something happened.
- 59:26[SPEAKER_00]: So Benford obviously, Tre, Taren, those are the three starters there.
- 59:32[SPEAKER_00]: I've got Dorian strong making it because he's looked okay in the preseason.
- 59:36[SPEAKER_00]: through hand-talking with the corners I don't really know where he really like winds up specifically there or safety either way I got him there and then this one was hard for me because I love gym arcusing room but I think they go dane I think dane is the last corner because he plays outside and gym arcusing room they don't really use it outside so I don't know there's no dome and buffalo they're all playing outside well not some weeks they play a dome sometimes
- 1:00:03[SPEAKER_00]: Um, but I got on the outside of the field.
- 1:00:05[SPEAKER_00]: I'm guarding the outside.
- 1:00:07[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know how to there's no other word to say it.
- 1:00:09[SPEAKER_03]: I'll injury corner as what I would say.
- 1:00:11[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but that's what I'm just joking.
- 1:00:12[SPEAKER_00]: I'll use a well, I'll use a ten dollar word and a two-bit word where it's just fine.
- 1:00:18[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, I think Dane is more of a boundary corner than the Marcus is.
- 1:00:22[SPEAKER_00]: So I think Dane makes the squad and those are the six they roll with when Max comes back.
- 1:00:27[SPEAKER_00]: Dane's probably out.
- 1:00:29[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, those are my six.
- 1:00:31[SPEAKER_03]: Right on, I got Benford, Tray White, John Johnson, Dorian Strong, Jordan Hancock, Ruby Hancock, Tramarka Singer.
- 1:00:39[SPEAKER_03]: So I have no Dean Jackson on this team.
- 1:00:42[SPEAKER_03]: Don't want them on the team.
- 1:00:44[SPEAKER_03]: Didn't want them when they signed them.
- 1:00:46[SPEAKER_03]: Don't want them now.
- 1:00:48[SPEAKER_03]: Don't think I ever want them, but wish them the best.
- 1:00:52[SPEAKER_03]: Sure, he's a great man.
- 1:00:54[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I got the same as Lance there.
- 1:00:56[SPEAKER_02]: Um, I just think.
- 1:00:58[SPEAKER_02]: Ingram.
- 1:01:00[SPEAKER_02]: Having been on the team last year, obviously, I had that one big game against the dolphins.
- 1:01:04[SPEAKER_02]: Um, I think the one on the week.
- 1:01:07[SPEAKER_02]: What?
- 1:01:08[SPEAKER_02]: Well, you're the week by the week.
- 1:01:10[SPEAKER_02]: Two was two picks, one for six and um, shot two a down there.
- 1:01:14[SPEAKER_02]: So I think, yeah, I think, Ingram will make it over Dane.
- 1:01:17[SPEAKER_02]: I do think Max does start on I are obviously afraid.
- 1:01:21[SPEAKER_02]: He gets his trades injuries worse.
- 1:01:23[SPEAKER_02]: So we think it is.
- 1:01:25[SPEAKER_02]: Man, they'll have to do something.
- 1:01:28[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you'll probably see some guys brought in on and some visits or something, but yeah, I got those six, making it with strong handcock, Johnson, White, Benford, and then Chamarko singer me in the last one, just because I think they'll like him better, especially because Dane's kind of getting older as well.
- 1:01:48[SPEAKER_02]: I know, Ingrams are like a young young, but he's still younger than Dane Jackson.
- 1:01:52[SPEAKER_02]: uh, taller might even be faster at this point.
- 1:01:56[SPEAKER_02]: Um, so yeah, I'm going to say they keep in them.
- 1:01:59[SPEAKER_02]: Um, safety.
- 1:02:00[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:02:01[SPEAKER_03]: If Deon Dawkins is listening to you right now, he will let you know that guys are improving with age.
- 1:02:07[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 1:02:07[SPEAKER_03]: So don't just, it has pressure.
- 1:02:09[SPEAKER_03]: He was very, uh, concerned about people thinking that folks will fall off as they get older, but this team is improving with age, according to one deon Dawkins, who, hey, I'll take the guys'
- 1:02:22[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I mean, chat convince us about yourself or what?
- 1:02:29[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, there you go.
- 1:02:32[SPEAKER_02]: Sorry, but we'll move on to save to your safe safety.
- 1:02:35[SPEAKER_02]: We'll get a little off there, everybody.
- 1:02:37[SPEAKER_02]: So we got safety there.
- 1:02:39[SPEAKER_02]: Safety is another one where I think most of it wouldn't kind of all be on the same page.
- 1:02:42[SPEAKER_02]: Your Taylor rap, Colby shipped more Hamlin Camlos.
- 1:02:45[SPEAKER_02]: As I mentioned earlier, I really wish that Hamlin was not going to make it.
- 1:02:50[SPEAKER_02]: Again, nothing against him.
- 1:02:52[SPEAKER_02]: He's great guy.
- 1:02:53[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously amazing story.
- 1:02:55[SPEAKER_02]: I just don't like many people I know.
- 1:02:57[SPEAKER_02]: Don't think that he is a caliber football player to be on this football team.
- 1:03:02[SPEAKER_02]: Um, and I would like to even see.
- 1:03:03[SPEAKER_02]: I don't even know he hasn't really made any noise, but still would like to see Duric Forests make it over him if it's possible, but I think that it will be those for there.
- 1:03:10[SPEAKER_02]: Um, making this roster.
- 1:03:12[SPEAKER_02]: What do you think Lance?
- 1:03:15[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I've got wrap this up, ham one and Lewis.
- 1:03:19[SPEAKER_03]: I think we talked about last week how much I was sort of impressed by Cam Lewis so far.
- 1:03:26[SPEAKER_03]: I just thought that he could have been one that's like, okay, he's kind of lingered around and
- 1:03:32[SPEAKER_03]: Now it's kind of like run its course.
- 1:03:34[SPEAKER_03]: I thought we're going to have like a little bit more depth to where they could move on and it's like, nope, they kind of need him.
- 1:03:41[SPEAKER_03]: He's pretty important and does very well in spelling the safety or the nickel corner spot when needed.
- 1:03:50[SPEAKER_03]: So given that Tron Johnson already basically gave himself a concussion in the preseason, I just don't have faith that he's going to get through the season playing every game.
- 1:04:00[SPEAKER_03]: So we're going to need a guy like Cam Lewis.
- 1:04:02[SPEAKER_03]: as Jordan Hancock continues to develop, and it looks like Jordan's getting a little bit more time in the safety room.
- 1:04:10[SPEAKER_03]: You could kind of switch Lewis into the corners and Hancock in the CPs at this point, potentially, but either way, one's gonna play one or the other, or they both can play both, sort of speak.
- 1:04:20[SPEAKER_03]: So, I really, I think that Kim Lewis is a nice surprise here, and for me, you know, I'm not a surprise to anybody, necessarily.
- 1:04:31[SPEAKER_03]: a good person to have on this in this safety room or in this defensive background will call it because a lot of these defensive acts can kind of do a couple different things and we'll see where they where they need to use and more than anything.
- 1:04:45[SPEAKER_03]: It's sort of a need at this point versus where they want them to be.
- 1:04:48[SPEAKER_03]: Yep.
- 1:04:50[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:04:50[SPEAKER_00]: I have the same four safety is going in the camp.
- 1:04:54[SPEAKER_00]: I would have said that it's very forest was almost a guaranteed to make this team buddy.
- 1:04:58[SPEAKER_00]: I wasn't really shown much.
- 1:05:01[SPEAKER_00]: He was playing in like the fourth quarter of the game on Sunday night, which kind of Chelsea where he is on the depth chart.
- 1:05:08[SPEAKER_00]: And I think it's like these four guys ahead of him.
- 1:05:11[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think they keep five safety.
- 1:05:13[SPEAKER_00]: So fortunately he's the odd man out.
- 1:05:15[SPEAKER_00]: But again, one of my, one of my last cuts.
- 1:05:17[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, John makes a great point.
- 1:05:18[SPEAKER_00]: Cam Luis is awesome on special teams.
- 1:05:21[SPEAKER_00]: he can probably even play outside corner if he needed them to like he this one of those guys like I said earlier in the off season he's not gonna you know be in all pro he's not gonna be approval or but he's gonna be in the right spot he knows the defense from almost every position which I don't think people realize how hard that is and he's gonna be in the right spot I mean I like
- 1:05:39[SPEAKER_00]: Even wasn't it him that Justin Jefferson went up with one hand and got over in that crazy game like he didn't make the play, but he was in the right spot.
- 1:05:47[SPEAKER_00]: And that's all you can really ask for for that.
- 1:05:49[SPEAKER_00]: It can't move us.
- 1:05:50[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, I got the same four safety as you guys, which brings us to our specialists.
- 1:05:59[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I saw, you know, Santa Samuel and Justin Simmons grow up.
- 1:06:08[SPEAKER_02]: Santa Samuel, I just want to say, I'd be fine with Santa Samuel.
- 1:06:12[SPEAKER_02]: Justin Simmons though, I think we need to understand Justin Simmons is not Justin Simmons anymore.
- 1:06:17[SPEAKER_02]: If you got mad at Jordan Porter, his last season, Buffalo for slowing down, you will be very upset at Justin Simmons being on this football team because he is older, slower, not the same player.
- 1:06:30[SPEAKER_02]: There's a reason he does not have a contract yet.
- 1:06:32[SPEAKER_02]: Part of it could be because he wants more money than teams are willing to offer, but there's a reason why teams are not willing to go up to where he is.
- 1:06:41[SPEAKER_02]: Sun to Samo, I'll be fine with that idea.
- 1:06:44[SPEAKER_02]: If they want to draw a thought at him, but Justin Simmons, to me is just another aging safety, and I'm good on aging safety that are continuing to get slow.
- 1:06:53[SPEAKER_02]: So I just wanted to touch on that, but yeah, Sun Samo, for all means, we'll see what he wants.
- 1:07:02[SPEAKER_00]: I'll take a softest animal scene here, see you available.
- 1:07:06[SPEAKER_02]: I might be available, but I don't know if you'd actually love him on the football field at his age, I don't know how old he is specifically, but yeah.
- 1:07:15[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:07:15[SPEAKER_00]: Specialists.
- 1:07:16[SPEAKER_00]: We got Tyler Bass, who is back to kicking its seams.
- 1:07:19[SPEAKER_00]: They let Kayden Davis go, which tells his Tyler Bass should be, should be good to go here in the near future, or at least by southern Saturday because they don't have any other kickers, which is a good sign with his weird pelvic soreness or whatever it was.
- 1:07:33[SPEAKER_00]: Reed Ferguson obviously at long snapper.
- 1:07:36[SPEAKER_00]: Brad Robbins, who's been a guy who has played well in the preseason, people were worried about him, but so far he's looked good.
- 1:07:42[SPEAKER_00]: And hopefully the preseason is the most he pumps all year.
- 1:07:45[SPEAKER_00]: And I've Brendan Toddler making it as a returner.
- 1:07:49[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think anybody has taken that job from him.
- 1:07:51[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't think a guy like Chanel where he can play receiver would.
- 1:07:57[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think that his ability to be wide receiver six, and I told you earlier how much they use those guys.
- 1:08:04[SPEAKER_00]: would kick Cottonton off of the team.
- 1:08:06[SPEAKER_00]: He's a really good partner, Turner.
- 1:08:08[SPEAKER_00]: He's a good kick, returner, and returning puns is not easy.
- 1:08:11[SPEAKER_00]: And then I don't really have anybody else, even with Chanel, that's really a partner by trade.
- 1:08:16[SPEAKER_00]: So I got Cottonton making it, like a cockroach, just won't go away.
- 1:08:20[SPEAKER_00]: They tried to put him at nickel corner this past weekend.
- 1:08:23[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't go well either.
- 1:08:25[SPEAKER_00]: He's not an NFL ever cornerback, but he is an NFL-level returner.
- 1:08:30[SPEAKER_00]: And I have to make him a team again.
- 1:08:32[SPEAKER_02]: And I do, you know, you're forgetting we do have another kicker on this team.
- 1:08:36[SPEAKER_02]: Just in case he's not ready to go.
- 1:08:38[SPEAKER_02]: So, ready to chill.
- 1:08:39[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I have Bass, Reed Ferguson, Brad Robin.
- 1:08:43[SPEAKER_02]: I was, I was back at fourth on Cotton and Tensional, as my last kind of spot there.
- 1:08:49[SPEAKER_02]: I think like I said, one of those two will make it.
- 1:08:53[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe because of if trades injuries worse and they say, hey, we just need another corner back on the roster.
- 1:08:59[SPEAKER_02]: Cotton didn't can also give a give him an edge there.
- 1:09:02[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, it will be between those two should all and cotton tin.
- 1:09:06[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think you can go wrong when it comes for a turner wise.
- 1:09:09[SPEAKER_02]: For a rather than, I think both of them have the capability to be great returners.
- 1:09:13[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously, cotton tin, we know can be a great returner.
- 1:09:15[SPEAKER_02]: It's an old by numbers at least.
- 1:09:18[SPEAKER_02]: Cake return lies as shown.
- 1:09:19[SPEAKER_02]: You can be great.
- 1:09:20[SPEAKER_02]: So I don't think you can go wrong either way.
- 1:09:22[SPEAKER_02]: I did go with shit all this time.
- 1:09:25[SPEAKER_02]: Wouldn't be shocked if it's cotton tin though.
- 1:09:28[SPEAKER_03]: Would be really shocked if it was caudrington really don't like them on the team because he can only do return.
- 1:09:36[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm going to matter this year though, Donald has been.
- 1:09:41[SPEAKER_03]: Trying or at least getting reps at different coverage units just as well as return units and that's something I just if caudrington was on the coverage units.
- 1:09:51[SPEAKER_03]: I think that that would be an easy conversation to say, let him play, but he doesn't play the coverage units.
- 1:09:57[SPEAKER_03]: He only plays the return units.
- 1:09:59[SPEAKER_03]: So I'm going bass, Ferguson, and Robbins to complete my fifty-three out.
- 1:10:04[SPEAKER_03]: I didn't have Audrington making it.
- 1:10:06[SPEAKER_02]: I only think that that Audrington wouldn't play coverage units is if they keep shivers or they keep, you know, obviously, Kim Lewis, Jim Argus,
- 1:10:18[SPEAKER_02]: They'll have plenty of guys to be able to go out there and play coverage unit, where you won't need cotton to an arsenal to be out there, whether or whoever it is.
- 1:10:28[SPEAKER_02]: So if they end up getting not keeping a camel with, who's marketing or whoever else favors, then yeah, cotton to definitely would have, would not have to leg up there.
- 1:10:40[SPEAKER_02]: So I just want to put that there.
- 1:10:41[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, either way, I don't think it won't be a huge difference, whichever, which we try to the two that they keep.
- 1:10:50[SPEAKER_03]: for sure.
- 1:10:51[SPEAKER_03]: All right.
- 1:10:52[SPEAKER_03]: Well, that does it for our episode here.
- 1:10:54[SPEAKER_03]: The fifty three man roster prediction in the books will try to get this somehow into a graphical format to post it on social media for the all's criticism and critiquing and interaction.
- 1:11:11[SPEAKER_03]: So
- 1:11:14[SPEAKER_03]: Until next week we'll have a fifty three man roster next week when we join you again and we'll be getting ready for
- 1:11:26[SPEAKER_03]: The regular season, the Ravens.
- 1:11:29[SPEAKER_03]: We'll have it off week and then we'll get the Baltimore Ravens.
- 1:11:33[SPEAKER_03]: So I have two weeks to sort of preview that but we'll next week we'll break down what's on the fifty three and where we're at with different folks on the injury front and we'll see what other news trades or other happenings are going on at that time.
- 1:11:50[SPEAKER_03]: We look forward to it until then be safe and go bills.
- 1:11:56[SPEAKER_01]: Go Bills.
