- 3:30Speaker 1: In UK back think.
- 5:50Speaker 2: Original Brown Girl, Arthur, Pamela, Jay Hayes, legacin Ligands. I
- 5:55Speaker 2: tell you tonight is significant to me. Pam was my
- 6:01Speaker 2: very first guest here on the WB and then my
- 6:06Speaker 2: very first show and I am excited to be catching
- 6:10Speaker 2: up with her on tonight. But before we dive in,
- 6:16Speaker 2: just want to catch up with you guys. Wow, it's
- 6:20Speaker 2: been four weeks, thirty days almost since we last chatted. Y'all.
- 6:27Speaker 2: We only have seventy six days left in twenty twenty four.
- 6:34Speaker 2: Like this, Where did the time go? Where did the
- 6:39Speaker 2: time go? But we still have time to finish strong
- 6:45Speaker 2: with the remaining of the days that we have. I
- 6:48Speaker 2: know many of us may feel like we have not
- 6:52Speaker 2: accomplished some things that we wanted to achieve, But you
- 6:57Speaker 2: still can do that. Yes, you have seventy six days
- 7:00Speaker 2: to finish strong, and I'm gonna give you three tips
- 7:04Speaker 2: on how you can finish strong, and then I'm gonna
- 7:07Speaker 2: bring my guests up. So first we have to set
- 7:14Speaker 2: some clear goals. Identify pacific achievable goals you want to
- 7:19Speaker 2: accomplish by the end of the year, and focus on
- 7:23Speaker 2: what truly matters to you, not to Sally, not to John,
- 7:29Speaker 2: not to Mark, but what matters to you. Then you
- 7:34Speaker 2: know you gotta prioritize self care. We gotta make it
- 7:40Speaker 2: about you sometimes and making sure that you are okay.
- 7:45Speaker 2: So taking care of your mental in physical health is crucial.
- 7:50Speaker 2: You have to make time for activities that will rejuvenate
- 7:55Speaker 2: and energize you. Lastly, reflect and adapt. Evaluate those things
- 8:05Speaker 2: that have worked in those that didn't work because those mistakes,
- 8:14Speaker 2: those mishaps, those circumstances. Sometime we can learn from those.
- 8:20Speaker 2: We can use those lessons to be stepping stones to
- 8:24Speaker 2: help us reach our next milestone. But don't stress over
- 8:30Speaker 2: unmack goals. Instead, I want you to adapt and adjust
- 8:35Speaker 2: your plan so that you can get back on track.
- 8:38Speaker 2: Because remember, we got a plan, We got goals because
- 8:42Speaker 2: he didn't drop us out of the sky. He already
- 8:45Speaker 2: had a strategic plan for us. According to Jerebar twenty
- 8:50Speaker 2: nine and eletten, he said he declared that he had
- 8:53Speaker 2: a plan to prosper us, not to harm us, but
- 8:57Speaker 2: for us to be in good health, for us to
- 8:58Speaker 2: have hope in a future. I tell you, my guest tonight, wow,
- 9:06Speaker 2: we bet right here on social media. It was during
- 9:10Speaker 2: a time that we were going into the pandemic, and
- 9:15Speaker 2: I was readjusting some of the things that I was
- 9:19Speaker 2: doing as a brand, trying to, you know, revamp the
- 9:24Speaker 2: things that that I was doing to make a difference.
- 9:29Speaker 2: I was used to doing live events, going out and
- 9:33Speaker 2: being in person. When the pandemic hit, we had to
- 9:37Speaker 2: learn to adjust. So it gave me opportunity to take
- 9:43Speaker 2: on podcasts and take on radio and take on a
- 9:46Speaker 2: different route. I was able to create Aspiring Office magazine
- 9:50Speaker 2: during this time, had the opportunity to meet this amazing queen.
- 9:56Speaker 2: She has been my prayer bestie, one of my prayer
- 9:58Speaker 2: besties for the last almost five years. February the first
- 10:03Speaker 2: will be five years. We do five a m prayer.
- 10:08Speaker 2: I believe in that a family that prays together stays together.
- 10:13Speaker 2: And I tell you, I have watched God perform miracles
- 10:17Speaker 2: in her life. She near you's life as well as
- 10:21Speaker 2: in my life. So I'm grateful on tonight to be
- 10:26Speaker 2: able to catch up with Pam, to be able to
- 10:28Speaker 2: share some of the things that she's been doing to
- 10:32Speaker 2: impact Pam is an author, she's a mother, she's a wife,
- 10:37Speaker 2: she's a playwright, she's a director, a social injustice advocate,
- 10:44Speaker 2: you name it, she she does it. So tonight we're
- 10:48Speaker 2: gonna be talking about all those things I want to see.
- 10:52Speaker 2: If my guest is on, it's my guest, this.
- 11:00Speaker 3: Come here, let's do this number here and yet so
- 11:08Speaker 3: we'll wait for.
- 11:08Speaker 4: You what she comes on?
- 11:10Speaker 2: All right, Well, we keep it pushing, We keep it pushing.
- 11:14Speaker 2: So pam does a lot, So we're gonna be diving
- 11:21Speaker 2: into that. She has a amazing movie that is going
- 11:28Speaker 2: to be dropping November the second. Gonna have an opportunity
- 11:31Speaker 2: to talk about that movie. Why she decided to do
- 11:36Speaker 2: this movie, the backstory behind this movie. There's also a
- 11:41Speaker 2: book that this movie spun off of, and it is
- 11:46Speaker 2: actually a based on the true story. I could, I
- 11:50Speaker 2: can dive in a little bit because I know a
- 11:52Speaker 2: little bit of the story. Pamela. Her husband is currently incarcerated,
- 12:00Speaker 2: overly incarcerated. Not gonna say he didn't do his crime,
- 12:03Speaker 2: but he we feel he has done his time.
- 12:09Speaker 1: And she.
- 12:13Speaker 2: Did this, wrote a book and then this movie is
- 12:18Speaker 2: kind of sort of off of that. If if you
- 12:20Speaker 2: guys hear her talk about it, you'll be able to
- 12:24Speaker 2: Her husband is a character in this movie. Different people
- 12:28Speaker 2: from I think It's childhood play a part in this movie.
- 12:32Speaker 2: So I'm excited to be able to share that and
- 12:38Speaker 2: be able to share this journey that Pam has been on.
- 12:42Speaker 2: Pam she suffered from depression as well as Pam is
- 12:47Speaker 2: a two year cancer survivor. She's just celebrated two years
- 12:55Speaker 2: of being a cancer survivor. Trying I am actually trying
- 13:03Speaker 2: to get her. I'm also trying to reach out to
- 13:06Speaker 2: her myself. I'm not sure if she got received a
- 13:12Speaker 2: message that I sent her, but y'all, this is what
- 13:16Speaker 2: we do. This is what we do. I'm so excited
- 13:19Speaker 2: because today I co authored this book and it's called
- 13:25Speaker 2: A Crazy Girl in My Head. I actually received my
- 13:29Speaker 2: copies today and I was so excited about it because
- 13:32Speaker 2: I got actually got an opportunity to share something about
- 13:37Speaker 2: me that a lot of people may not know. And
- 13:43Speaker 2: that thing is I am a perfectionist. I I love
- 13:47Speaker 2: things to be a certain way and I had to
- 13:51Speaker 2: come to graps with that. I truly did, and had
- 13:55Speaker 2: an opportunity to explore that inside of this book with
- 13:58Speaker 2: these amazing queen's. I have to give a shout out
- 14:01Speaker 2: to Stephanie Steaton out of Dallas Texas. She afforded me
- 14:09Speaker 2: this opportunity to be able to share a chapter in
- 14:14Speaker 2: this book. Again, I tell you, I want to share
- 14:19Speaker 2: with you guys on what I shared inside of this book.
- 14:23Speaker 2: If y'all just give me one second, I'm trying to
- 14:26Speaker 2: open it up, trying to trying to juggle, trying to juggle,
- 14:29Speaker 2: trying to juggle open here, y'all. But y'all know how
- 14:32Speaker 2: we do, we do we do. Let me see, I
- 14:35Speaker 2: think I'm chapter number six and I just want to
- 14:40Speaker 2: share just a little bit. I'm not gonna share the
- 14:42Speaker 2: whole chapter, just gonna share just a brief little bit
- 14:47Speaker 2: so y'all can get a little flow of my writing style.
- 14:52Speaker 2: Some of you guys may have heard some of my poetry,
- 14:55Speaker 2: but this gives you an opportunity to get a little
- 14:59Speaker 2: bit my writing style. I am still waiting for my
- 15:05Speaker 2: guests to come on, so I'm going to share just
- 15:08Speaker 2: a little bit of this. And again, it's called breaking
- 15:11Speaker 2: free from perfection, understanding I am not perfect and that
- 15:17Speaker 2: I can grow from my mistakes. In a society, well
- 15:25Speaker 2: we are portrayed as flawless, and achievements are so high
- 15:31Speaker 2: it's easy to get caught up in the pursuit of
- 15:34Speaker 2: standards that scenes beyond reach. The pressure, the pressure to
- 15:39Speaker 2: be flawless in every aspect of our lives can be overwhelming.
- 15:45Speaker 2: Leading us to believe that any missteps or imperfection is
- 15:50Speaker 2: a failure is one of the best misconceptions. I want
- 15:54Speaker 2: y'all to get that. Let me say it one more time.
- 15:59Speaker 2: Don't get all in the in the pressures of thinking
- 16:03Speaker 2: that you have to be flawless, because understanding that missteps
- 16:10Speaker 2: and imperfection can lead to success. One of the things
- 16:16Speaker 2: I want to share with you guys is we all
- 16:20Speaker 2: are beautifully flawed beings navigating ups and downs. We all
- 16:30Speaker 2: got something that we should be working. We all have
- 16:36Speaker 2: something that it's not perfect, and if you look at everyone,
- 16:43Speaker 2: you can see that. So I just wanted to share
- 16:47Speaker 2: that with you guys. Again, that is part of That's
- 16:51Speaker 2: just one paragraph out of a chapter that I did
- 16:55Speaker 2: inside of The Crazy Girl in My Head, a new
- 17:00Speaker 2: book by Stephanie Stephen. It was a collaboration project. I
- 17:05Speaker 2: tell you I was truly honored to be a part
- 17:07Speaker 2: of that project. Anytime I have an opportunity to share
- 17:15Speaker 2: something that has been a blessing to me, something that
- 17:19Speaker 2: have helped me to go to the next level. I
- 17:22Speaker 2: always want to share it and pay it for because
- 17:26Speaker 2: in this world, we have to understand that we only
- 17:30Speaker 2: get one chance at it. And what are you leaving?
- 17:34Speaker 2: What is your legacy? What are you leaving behind? How
- 17:38Speaker 2: would people remember you? Will they remember you or were
- 17:42Speaker 2: they not? It's all about what you leave in your blueprint.
- 17:47Speaker 2: And so everything that I do, I try to leave
- 17:50Speaker 2: you with a little education. I want you to feel
- 17:54Speaker 2: when you leave my presence that you've been educated, empired
- 17:59Speaker 2: and encourage to stay on this journey that you're on,
- 18:02Speaker 2: no matter what journey it is, and no matter where
- 18:05Speaker 2: you are. And understand this too, because we oftentimes talk
- 18:08Speaker 2: about success and we often measure success it differently, you know,
- 18:15Speaker 2: because what may be successful to me may not be
- 18:17Speaker 2: successful to you. So I say this to this person.
- 18:23Speaker 2: Any little thing that you have accomplished that you didn't
- 18:27Speaker 2: accomplish on yesterday its success. It can be simple as
- 18:32Speaker 2: you getting up and reading a book that you didn't
- 18:37Speaker 2: read yesterday. That is success. How you measure success is
- 18:42Speaker 2: all upon you. So we have to stop allowing society
- 18:48Speaker 2: and those around us to label us and put us
- 18:52Speaker 2: in a box. And define what is what to us.
- 18:57Speaker 2: We gotta be able to set those standards, set those
- 19:01Speaker 2: bars for ourselves. So moving on, I know I have
- 19:10Speaker 2: really not been active a lot, y'all. It's coming up
- 19:16Speaker 2: in six days, I would have my brother has been
- 19:21Speaker 2: gone for thirty days. He's been gone for twenty four days.
- 19:26Speaker 2: And like I have my moments, I truly have my moments.
- 19:32Speaker 2: I'm grateful for this podcast. I'm grateful for the crew podcast,
- 19:38Speaker 2: those that are a part of my network. I'm grateful
- 19:43Speaker 2: for all of the family, those that have truly rallied
- 19:48Speaker 2: around me, those that call me, those that check in
- 19:51Speaker 2: on me. Because this one, y'all, I'm must tell you this,
- 19:54Speaker 2: this one has not been easy for me. I have
- 19:57Speaker 2: my days. Today was one of those days. But I
- 20:01Speaker 2: knew that I had to pull it together because I know,
- 20:06Speaker 2: I know my brother, and I know my brother would
- 20:08Speaker 2: not want me in a place with all these bluecooteers
- 20:12Speaker 2: and it's not running out my nose and just I
- 20:16Speaker 2: had a moment today. But like I tell everybody, it's
- 20:21Speaker 2: okay to have a moment, just don't stay there. You know,
- 20:25Speaker 2: I'm trying to grasp this denial stage. I'm trying to
- 20:28Speaker 2: get through this denial stage.
- 20:30Speaker 5: Y'all.
- 20:31Speaker 2: I went through the shock, like literally, I did not
- 20:36Speaker 2: want to believe. I couldn't believe until I seen my
- 20:40Speaker 2: brother laying there in that casket. And when I saw
- 20:44Speaker 2: how peaceful he was, then that shock kind of went away.
- 20:48Speaker 2: It began to set in. But then now that I'm
- 20:52Speaker 2: back here in Georgia, you know, my brother just had
- 20:56Speaker 2: a birthday on October the eighth, he would have been
- 21:00Speaker 2: fifty two, and just being back here and I just
- 21:07Speaker 2: can't grasp it like I saw him. I know he's
- 21:09Speaker 2: gone all of everything that you know and believe, but y'all,
- 21:16Speaker 2: this one just is different from me something that I have.
- 21:21Speaker 2: I've experienced death because I've lost both of my parents,
- 21:25Speaker 2: I've lost both sets of my grandparents. I lost a
- 21:30Speaker 2: brother prior to this, so I've experienced and then I
- 21:35Speaker 2: had a cousin who was like a brother to me.
- 21:38Speaker 2: So this was this one was it hit different. And
- 21:45Speaker 2: you know I used to tell people, you know, one
- 21:48Speaker 2: day to get better. Well I've learned over these last
- 21:51Speaker 2: thirty something years that it does not get better because
- 21:54Speaker 2: I lost my mom twelve days after my sixteenth birthday,
- 21:57Speaker 2: and I cannot say that it's gotten better. I've learned
- 22:01Speaker 2: to cope, I've learned to deal with it, but there's
- 22:04Speaker 2: still days when I boot pool and cry because I'm
- 22:07Speaker 2: missing my mom and all those that have gone on
- 22:11Speaker 2: before me. Y'all, we have a collar in Q calling
- 22:14Speaker 2: number one. If you would please tell me where you're
- 22:17Speaker 2: calling from and your name.
- 22:20Speaker 5: I'm Jerry Sweety. I'm calling from New Jersey.
- 22:22Speaker 2: Hey, Jerry, how are you? I'm yet person. You know
- 22:27Speaker 2: that that's that's all I know to do, you know, Yeah,
- 22:31Speaker 2: So I'm pressing.
- 22:34Speaker 6: Tell you how sorry I am about your loss recently
- 22:37Speaker 6: and all your losses, and I haven't stopped praying for you.
- 22:42Speaker 5: I'm just super sad for you.
- 22:44Speaker 6: I feel your pain and I just want to say that.
- 22:49Speaker 6: So I'm proud of you tonight because you're on and
- 22:52Speaker 6: you know.
- 22:53Speaker 5: God is there or you already know that. I don't
- 22:55Speaker 5: have to tell you anything. You don't know about God,
- 22:58Speaker 5: but God is there. He hasn't enough and he's saying.
- 23:04Speaker 2: That thank you. You know, that is one of the
- 23:07Speaker 2: things that you know real share me, you know, because
- 23:11Speaker 2: I know the word you know, and I have been
- 23:14Speaker 2: able to, you know, share and comfort others and I've
- 23:17Speaker 2: gotten through, you know, other situations, like I had a
- 23:20Speaker 2: brother in the past four years ago. You know, I
- 23:23Speaker 2: was able to get through it. But this one it
- 23:26Speaker 2: was different, you know, And and I tell people all
- 23:29Speaker 2: grief is gonna be different, So you just have to
- 23:32Speaker 2: just go through it, you know, experience it, you know,
- 23:35Speaker 2: experience the different emotions because that that is who make
- 23:39Speaker 2: us who we are, and that is what would allow
- 23:42Speaker 2: us to be able to share with someone else. So
- 23:45Speaker 2: I have my moments, but I try not to stay
- 23:47Speaker 2: in those moments too long.
- 23:50Speaker 3: You know.
- 23:50Speaker 2: I have friends that are going through the same thing
- 23:54Speaker 2: with me. You know, they have lost Chanette, she lost
- 23:58Speaker 2: her son coming up next month. It's gonna be a year,
- 24:02Speaker 2: you know. I have another friend that lost her sister.
- 24:06Speaker 2: You know, we're all going through this together. Little Unique
- 24:12Speaker 2: she she lost her aunt, she's lost She's lost several
- 24:15Speaker 2: people since I've met her. So we're going through this together.
- 24:19Speaker 6: You know.
- 24:19Speaker 2: We we have moments where we're on the phone and
- 24:21Speaker 2: we're crying together and then we're laughing. We you know,
- 24:25Speaker 2: but we go through it. We experience these different emotions,
- 24:29Speaker 2: so one day we'll be able to look back and
- 24:31Speaker 2: be able to share it with somebody else. That's that's
- 24:33Speaker 2: our hope. We're hoping that we'll be able to heal
- 24:36Speaker 2: through this process and be able to help someone else.
- 24:40Speaker 6: Oh God, knowing that thing that Jesus imagine that right.
- 24:46Speaker 2: Right, Thank you Jery for calling in. I tell y'all
- 24:50Speaker 2: that lady right there. She she has a lot of acculades,
- 24:55Speaker 2: a lot of titles. She's very amazing lady. She she
- 25:02Speaker 2: she does a lot and very inspirational, very impactful. So
- 25:08Speaker 2: brother Old would definitely have to tell you guys who
- 25:11Speaker 2: she is and all of those accovades, because I don't
- 25:15Speaker 2: want to mess it up. But that was Jeri Petito.
- 25:17Speaker 2: She was on last night amazing. We have calling number
- 25:23Speaker 2: two in que Calling number two, if you could please
- 25:26Speaker 2: state your name and where you're calling from.
- 25:30Speaker 5: This is Mogo. I'm been calling other Philadelphia.
- 25:33Speaker 2: All right, how are you?
- 25:35Speaker 7: I am doing well. I called to commend you on
- 25:38Speaker 7: your professionalism tonight. I know that your guests was supposed
- 25:41Speaker 7: to come on and you didn't.
- 25:44Speaker 5: You miss a feat.
- 25:44Speaker 7: I am in awe And I also to let you
- 25:48Speaker 7: know I praying for you and as well, because you're
- 25:51Speaker 7: going through a really difficult time right now and I
- 25:53Speaker 7: didn't even know that until you mentioned it, so.
- 25:59Speaker 5: You can is very strong.
- 26:03Speaker 2: Yes, No, I'll trust him when I can't see him.
- 26:07Speaker 2: I'll trust him when I can't hear, because I believe
- 26:10Speaker 2: in his word, and his word is true and it
- 26:12Speaker 2: will not return to him. Lord, you know, I understand
- 26:15Speaker 2: that there's something that I'm gonna get out of this,
- 26:18Speaker 2: so I have to go through it, you know. So
- 26:21Speaker 2: I listen to a lot of you guys as show
- 26:25Speaker 2: and just hearing the things that you guys pour out
- 26:29Speaker 2: and the things that you guys share on your shows.
- 26:32Speaker 2: A lot of those things I have had to apply
- 26:35Speaker 2: to my life and apply them. So I'm grateful. I'm
- 26:39Speaker 2: grateful for this platform because if not being in the
- 26:43Speaker 2: midst of such amazing people that pour the way that
- 26:47Speaker 2: you guys, poor, I don't know if I would be
- 26:49Speaker 2: feeled like I am to be able to do the
- 26:52Speaker 2: things that I do and to press like I do.
- 26:55Speaker 2: So I'm just grateful and humble to be in the
- 26:57Speaker 2: midst of amazing people like yourself. If you would please
- 27:02Speaker 2: tell the listeners who you are and how they can
- 27:05Speaker 2: support you.
- 27:08Speaker 5: Yes, my name is Moe Garnment.
- 27:10Speaker 7: I have a show that comes on every fourth Friday,
- 27:15Speaker 7: Breaking the Silence, and we talk about issues with trauma.
- 27:18Speaker 5: And healing from trauma and overcoming.
- 27:20Speaker 7: Trauma and how you can move beyond it so.
- 27:25Speaker 8: We don't get stuck in the story. We will beyond
- 27:28Speaker 8: the story and want to hear your healing journey. So
- 27:31Speaker 8: that's what I do on my show. I don't know
- 27:35Speaker 8: when my next show is. Brother probably is better at
- 27:37Speaker 8: that I'm looking here. I think it's November the eighth.
- 27:44Speaker 7: I might be wrong, correct, Okay, so my next show
- 27:51Speaker 7: November the eighth, either Talk to You or.
- 27:56Speaker 5: Plove Talk. So thank you so much for letting me
- 27:58Speaker 5: get a shout out.
- 27:59Speaker 2: Well, thank you for stopping by and sharing. Again. I
- 28:04Speaker 2: tell you, I don't know where I would be if
- 28:07Speaker 2: it was not for a lot of these hosts on
- 28:12Speaker 2: this network as well as on my network. Because of
- 28:16Speaker 2: the things that they have shared, because of the things
- 28:21Speaker 2: that they've poured out, I have been able to take
- 28:24Speaker 2: those things in and been able to apply some of
- 28:28Speaker 2: those things to my life. I picked up this self
- 28:32Speaker 2: care keek and I've been on it, like we really
- 28:36Speaker 2: people really need to understand how important it is to
- 28:41Speaker 2: make sure that you are mentally okay. As well as
- 28:45Speaker 2: physically okay. And when we talk about our mental you know,
- 28:49Speaker 2: we'll always think that you got to be in the
- 28:52Speaker 2: crazy house because a lot of people just just normally,
- 28:55Speaker 2: when they say mental health, they always equate that to
- 28:59Speaker 2: being in what they call a mental institution or crazy house.
- 29:03Speaker 2: But some of us have trauma, trauma that have been
- 29:08Speaker 2: trickled down and trickled down and trickled down that causes
- 29:12Speaker 2: us to suffer and have these different depression, have these
- 29:15Speaker 2: different episodes. Have I suffer from depression. I suffer from PTSD,
- 29:21Speaker 2: So I have other stuff that sometimes can be triggered
- 29:25Speaker 2: by different things. So I have to make sure that
- 29:30Speaker 2: I take care of myself and make sure that I'm okay,
- 29:34Speaker 2: and I always want other people to do the same.
- 29:37Speaker 2: So y'all, we have calling number three inn Q, and
- 29:41Speaker 2: I want Calling number three to tell me where that
- 29:43Speaker 2: calling from and state their name if they.
- 29:45Speaker 9: Would, Hello, Hi, and I'm calling.
- 29:57Speaker 5: I just wanted to give you, just sing you some love,
- 30:01Speaker 5: big old hugs.
- 30:02Speaker 9: I was doing homework and I said, let me drop
- 30:05Speaker 9: in and speak to the queen and.
- 30:06Speaker 5: Let her know that I that I love her and
- 30:09Speaker 5: that I.
- 30:09Speaker 9: Appreciate her and I'm waiting for you to come back
- 30:14Speaker 9: to California.
- 30:17Speaker 2: Well I'm coming. I don't know when, but I'm coming
- 30:20Speaker 2: because I always say I can, I can. I'm always
- 30:23Speaker 2: in need of a vacation because of all that I do.
- 30:28Speaker 2: But I'm coming. And I thank you. I thank you
- 30:32Speaker 2: for thinking of me because you know, I know that
- 30:37Speaker 2: you're going through too. And one thing I am grateful
- 30:42Speaker 2: for is that when when when you used to call me,
- 30:48Speaker 2: I used to just sit and listen to you, and
- 30:51Speaker 2: now I'm able to get that same thing from you.
- 30:56Speaker 2: I know there's been times when I've called you and
- 30:59Speaker 2: I probably triggered you because I've just broke down and cried.
- 31:02Speaker 2: But you didn't cry. You you you. You stayed on
- 31:05Speaker 2: the phone and you listen and you tried to comfort me.
- 31:10Speaker 2: And I'm grateful for you. I'm grateful for the circle
- 31:15Speaker 2: that we have because He's truly placed individuals in different
- 31:19Speaker 2: stages of grief around me so that I can take
- 31:23Speaker 2: from the different individuals and to use this as a
- 31:27Speaker 2: stepping stone, because I'm reminded of, you know, different conversations
- 31:32Speaker 2: that me and my brother would have and I know
- 31:34Speaker 2: that this is not he, this was not where he
- 31:37Speaker 2: would want me to be. He would not want me cry,
- 31:39Speaker 2: He would not want me in a state of, you know,
- 31:44Speaker 2: feeling sorry for myself and just different things. So I pressed,
- 31:48Speaker 2: and I'm grateful for you guys. So tell the listeners
- 31:53Speaker 2: who is Sanete? Because I know they like, who is she?
- 31:56Speaker 2: Come on and she said all that stuff? Who is she?
- 32:00Speaker 5: Well, you know they probably gonna heard my.
- 32:02Speaker 9: Little shaky voice before. But my name is Janette Johnson and.
- 32:08Speaker 5: I am a mother or a grandmother before.
- 32:11Speaker 9: I am also a host on the Fool podcast. I
- 32:16Speaker 9: come on every first and third Monday of the month.
- 32:20Speaker 9: We talk about injustice, as I.
- 32:26Speaker 5: Always when I come on.
- 32:27Speaker 9: I always mentioned my husband who is currently serving a
- 32:32Speaker 9: life sentence without the possibility of parole over on Denver
- 32:36Speaker 9: on a wrongful conviction. And I just started applicating on
- 32:43Speaker 9: his behalf.
- 32:44Speaker 5: And since then I have talked to.
- 32:48Speaker 9: The men from all over and all of you would
- 32:54Speaker 9: think that each one of them know each other, but
- 32:58Speaker 9: they do. They have the same story and the justice
- 33:02Speaker 9: system is unfair to our black men and our brown brothers,
- 33:09Speaker 9: and it's just unbelievable.
- 33:14Speaker 2: Wow. Well, I definitely thank you for all that you do.
- 33:18Speaker 2: I thank you for allowing your voice to speak. Just
- 33:22Speaker 2: like Chinchilla here on our network, she goes really really
- 33:26Speaker 2: hard for social injustice, and I appreciate that because until
- 33:32Speaker 2: I started hearing her show, I didn't realize that there
- 33:35Speaker 2: were so many wrongful convictions, and hearing her show, I
- 33:42Speaker 2: was also able to get involved. So, like I said,
- 33:44Speaker 2: I am so grateful. I'm grateful for the work that
- 33:47Speaker 2: you do and I appreciate you calling and supporting me
- 33:50Speaker 2: on tonight. You have a great evening. We have calling
- 33:54Speaker 2: number four in Q Calling number four, if you would
- 33:58Speaker 2: please state your name and where you're calling from. Police.
- 34:02Speaker 5: Hello, miss Angela A Holly calling from just outside of
- 34:06Speaker 5: Atlantic City, New Jersey in Galloway. How are you?
- 34:09Speaker 2: I'm okay, how are you?
- 34:12Speaker 5: I'm good.
- 34:13Speaker 10: I'm hanging in there. You know it's funny. I'm mo
- 34:16Speaker 10: mentioned your professionalism. I knows it's not so easy to
- 34:21Speaker 10: fill in when you have somebody prepared to be on
- 34:24Speaker 10: and you are absolutely killing it. I want to wrap
- 34:28Speaker 10: my arms around you with a big hug. In what
- 34:31Speaker 10: you're going through, I can go intos and all my
- 34:34Speaker 10: thoughts and prayers are with you, and also for your guest.
- 34:39Speaker 10: Tomorrow is two years of my cancer recovery also, so
- 34:44Speaker 10: that's pretty wild. I was hoping to get to say
- 34:46Speaker 10: hello to her, so you can pass that along and I.
- 34:49Speaker 5: Wish her the best as well.
- 34:51Speaker 2: Wow. Well, congratulations to you, and I thank you for
- 34:55Speaker 2: calling and supporting because I know that you do a
- 34:59Speaker 2: lot too, and I know that you've not been in
- 35:01Speaker 2: the best of hell, but you're always support and you
- 35:04Speaker 2: always dropping nuggets and stuff like I was sharing with MO.
- 35:08Speaker 2: I just have to give y'all y'all flowers. I thank
- 35:11Speaker 2: y'all because the things that you guys have shared across
- 35:14Speaker 2: this network, it is helping me get through what I'm
- 35:18Speaker 2: going through. You know, I look back at my life
- 35:22Speaker 2: and I say, five six years ago, I probably wouldn't
- 35:25Speaker 2: have been able to do this. I probably would have
- 35:27Speaker 2: been a nervous rate. I probably would have been tears.
- 35:30Speaker 2: I probably would have been all over the place. I
- 35:32Speaker 2: definitely wouldn't have been in this place. So I'm grateful
- 35:35Speaker 2: for you guys. I want you to share with the
- 35:37Speaker 2: listeners before you leave, exactly who you are, how they
- 35:42Speaker 2: can tune in and hear you and support the things
- 35:46Speaker 2: that you're doing.
- 35:48Speaker 10: Sure, I just want to say that you're very strong.
- 35:51Speaker 10: I'm proud of you and you are definitely walking in purpose.
- 35:55Speaker 10: So my show is The Casual Chat and it will
- 35:58Speaker 10: be on next week the twenty first. We are on
- 36:01Speaker 10: the smart Ass Network Always in case you want Spectacular,
- 36:05Speaker 10: and that will be at eight pm and then Wenesday,
- 36:08Speaker 10: the twenty thirty, nine thirty pm. I mean, we are
- 36:11Speaker 10: going to be talking with some really empowering women Senior
- 36:16Speaker 10: America pageant winners, one national, one state winner, one each night,
- 36:22Speaker 10: and I'm so excited to hear their philosophy and how
- 36:26Speaker 10: they inspire other women. And so I'm so excited about
- 36:31Speaker 10: the show. Thank you so much for letting me care
- 36:33Speaker 10: that Angela, and my thoughts are always with you.
- 36:36Speaker 2: But thank you, and Wow, I'm definitely gonna have to
- 36:39Speaker 2: try to get on the on the eight o'clock hour
- 36:43Speaker 2: and check out some of those shows. I tell you,
- 36:45Speaker 2: sometimes I can't get on because of the other obligations,
- 36:49Speaker 2: but I definitely will try to go back and hear
- 36:51Speaker 2: the replace. I tell you, I am super proud of
- 36:55Speaker 2: all of our hosts that have stepped out and started
- 37:01Speaker 2: their own networks and are doing their own thing. I
- 37:04Speaker 2: tell you, it is always amazing when you can learn
- 37:10Speaker 2: from someone and they trust and believe in you enough
- 37:15Speaker 2: to be willing to help you on that journey. And
- 37:18Speaker 2: that's what I have found right here on the w
- 37:21Speaker 2: B n N. I'm grateful for that interview that I
- 37:25Speaker 2: had and Brother oh and and the the crew thought
- 37:30Speaker 2: they saw something in me. I think that it was
- 37:34Speaker 2: them boys the looking glass. They saw something in me
- 37:39Speaker 2: and wanted to be a part of this network. I'm grateful,
- 37:44Speaker 2: Brother oh I. I can't tell him enough how grateful.
- 37:49Speaker 2: You know, we oftentimes wonder why we are put in
- 37:54Speaker 2: situations that we're put in being able to do. Is
- 37:59Speaker 2: that what I'm doing now have been an outlet for
- 38:03Speaker 2: me to be able to share and to release sometimes
- 38:06Speaker 2: things that I may would have normally kept bottled up
- 38:10Speaker 2: inside or kept to myself. But having these outlets and
- 38:15Speaker 2: these different platforms give me an opportunity to share those things,
- 38:20Speaker 2: those things that God has done for me. You know,
- 38:24Speaker 2: I oftentimes I mentioned that I am a domestic violence survivor.
- 38:30Speaker 2: This is domestic violence Awareness Month. You're looking at someone
- 38:34Speaker 2: that was shot point blank range with a sold out
- 38:37Speaker 2: shotgun almost ten years ago. A lot of the things
- 38:41Speaker 2: that you know, even my doctor said that if I
- 38:44Speaker 2: walk it may be years. I defied the eyes with
- 38:47Speaker 2: that because I walked out. I walked out the hospital
- 38:50Speaker 2: three days later after having a six hour surgery after
- 38:54Speaker 2: being shot. So I know the God that I serve,
- 38:57Speaker 2: and I know that it's not by coincident that I'm here,
- 39:01Speaker 2: that there's something that I'm supposed to be doing. And
- 39:04Speaker 2: then that's the what I keep trying to tell people.
- 39:06Speaker 2: We didn't get dropped out of the sky. You know,
- 39:09Speaker 2: he strategically placed us here. That was a reason that
- 39:13Speaker 2: he dropped us here, and and and placed us strategically
- 39:17Speaker 2: to be a part of this universe. We all have
- 39:20Speaker 2: something that we're supposed to be doing to impact. Your
- 39:25Speaker 2: hand may be what is needed to help carry out
- 39:29Speaker 2: the next whatever you know. But just like your body part,
- 39:33Speaker 2: every part on your body makes up your body, we
- 39:37Speaker 2: all are a part of the body that makes up
- 39:41Speaker 2: this universe, that makes this universe go around, and we
- 39:45Speaker 2: all have a part that we're supposed to be playing. Y'all.
- 39:49Speaker 2: We have calling number five and Q Calling number five.
- 39:53Speaker 2: If you would please state your name and where you're
- 39:55Speaker 2: calling from. Please pe listen.
- 40:00Speaker 11: This systemacity, the truth, the training Deputy Commissioner. I'm calling
- 40:08Speaker 11: in to support you, Angela, and I just want to
- 40:12Speaker 11: say you're a wonderful person and that you're a godly person.
- 40:19Speaker 11: And that's one thing that I saw about you when
- 40:22Speaker 11: I began to speak on the podcast, and you have
- 40:27Speaker 11: always cared yourself as family to this podcast, and I
- 40:34Speaker 11: just wanted to say, there's a psalm that talks about
- 40:40Speaker 11: He knew us before we were placed in the room,
- 40:45Speaker 11: and I feel that you're right. There are people that
- 40:48Speaker 11: are placed here on this earth, and we're placed here.
- 40:53Speaker 5: To endure and to overcome and to show.
- 40:57Speaker 11: Other people that they can overcome by their faith and
- 41:01Speaker 11: their belief and the strength that the Almighty gives them.
- 41:06Speaker 11: So I just wanted to call and support and.
- 41:09Speaker 3: Show you my love and.
- 41:13Speaker 1: I just.
- 41:15Speaker 11: Appreciate you a great deal for who you are and
- 41:18Speaker 11: what you bring to the contents.
- 41:20Speaker 4: You're a wonderful person.
- 41:22Speaker 2: Well, thank you. I thank you, And I truly believe
- 41:28Speaker 2: just what you said that some of us are placed
- 41:31Speaker 2: here to go through and endure because He already know
- 41:36Speaker 2: what we can endure. You know, it's not about putting
- 41:39Speaker 2: more on us than we can bear, because He already
- 41:41Speaker 2: know what we can bear. So I think that sometimes
- 41:46Speaker 2: we have to go through that we can help the
- 41:49Speaker 2: next person, because if we don't go through, how can
- 41:51Speaker 2: we tell somebody else how to go through? I used
- 41:54Speaker 2: to think, you know, I used to hear people all
- 41:57Speaker 2: the time say how good God was, how good he is,
- 42:01Speaker 2: how good he is, how good. I didn't know personally,
- 42:05Speaker 2: I never experienced. I didn't know. And when I finally
- 42:09Speaker 2: said that I didn't know, I truly didn't know. That's
- 42:13Speaker 2: when life began to life and things begin to happen
- 42:17Speaker 2: and I begin to experience. So we all are gonna
- 42:20Speaker 2: go through. It's just when we're gonna go through. And
- 42:24Speaker 2: Sister Bessie, if you're still there, how can people support
- 42:28Speaker 2: you and your When is your next show?
- 42:33Speaker 11: My next show is the second week in November. It
- 42:37Speaker 11: may be on a Tuesday, and my show is called
- 42:41Speaker 11: The Front Porch and I look forward to having listeners
- 42:47Speaker 11: listening to me. And I just want to thank you
- 42:49Speaker 11: again for the beautiful person that you are, and you
- 42:54Speaker 11: know I love you, and we have to stay strong
- 42:58Speaker 11: before the Almighty. It gives that strength and I just
- 43:02Speaker 11: want to thank you.
- 43:03Speaker 2: Okay, well, thank you, thank you for all that you do.
- 43:06Speaker 2: Thank you for your strength. Thank you for standing, thank
- 43:10Speaker 2: you for pressing. Thank you for being an example of
- 43:13Speaker 2: resilience that will in the will that will now quit.
- 43:16Speaker 2: You know, I'm grateful to hear your voice. I'm grateful
- 43:21Speaker 2: to have you back right here where you belong. So
- 43:26Speaker 2: thank you, Thank you for all that you have done
- 43:29Speaker 2: because because of the path that you have led for
- 43:33Speaker 2: some of us. Because I'm new to this, I've only
- 43:38Speaker 2: been on the network. I think I'm coming up on
- 43:41Speaker 2: Finnaby five years. Wow, time really has flew by, well,
- 43:46Speaker 2: coming up on five years. It just seemed like yesterday
- 43:51Speaker 2: I started. But for those that paved the way, that
- 43:55Speaker 2: gave us a blueprint, that laid the path for us,
- 44:00Speaker 2: that set the standards high, that we would have something
- 44:03Speaker 2: to achieve, something to reach for. Because I tell you,
- 44:08Speaker 2: I'm in between two amazing lifetime achievers. They carry so
- 44:15Speaker 2: many accolades that I have no choice but to show
- 44:19Speaker 2: up because if I don't show up, they definitely gonna
- 44:22Speaker 2: show up around me. And I just can't have people
- 44:25Speaker 2: showing up around me and just leaving me out there.
- 44:29Speaker 2: I oftentimes mentioned that word life. Are you are you
- 44:34Speaker 2: living life? Or is life happening around you? And how
- 44:37Speaker 2: do you know you living life? You loving on your
- 44:40Speaker 2: brothers and sisters like you love yourself. You are intentional
- 44:46Speaker 2: about those things that He's placed in your spirit. Not
- 44:51Speaker 2: only that you are willing to inspire somebody other than yourself.
- 44:56Speaker 2: And you are not afraid to share the fear of
- 44:59Speaker 2: God that you have because you know that it's not
- 45:03Speaker 2: by your strength, and it's not by your power, but
- 45:07Speaker 2: the one that worketh on the inside of you. And
- 45:10Speaker 2: He's given us that so that we could educate, empower
- 45:15Speaker 2: and encourage those around us. So if you're not doing that,
- 45:20Speaker 2: you should examine and say, really, am I live in life?
- 45:25Speaker 2: When was the last time I loved on someone other
- 45:29Speaker 2: than a family member, other than a friend, that stranger,
- 45:33Speaker 2: that person that you don't know, that person that you
- 45:36Speaker 2: just happened to cross. When was the last time you
- 45:39Speaker 2: loved on someone? When was the last time you inspired
- 45:43Speaker 2: someone that you didn't know, a complete stranger? And when
- 45:51Speaker 2: was the last time you shared the goodness of God
- 45:58Speaker 2: to show that you have that fear down in you?
- 46:03Speaker 2: See y'all, one thing about me is when He raised
- 46:08Speaker 2: me up off my bed of affliction. May seven, twenty fourteen,
- 46:15Speaker 2: I said that I would share his goodness. I knew
- 46:18Speaker 2: I wouldn't stand in a poor pig. I knew I
- 46:20Speaker 2: didn't want to preach. I knew I didn't want to
- 46:22Speaker 2: do none of that. I knew that was not how
- 46:24Speaker 2: I would be sharing his goodness. But God allowed me
- 46:29Speaker 2: the opportunity to write, y'all wrote, I've written not just
- 46:35Speaker 2: by myself, but I've provided an opportunity for other people
- 46:39Speaker 2: to share their stories through anthologies. But I've written and produced, published,
- 46:45Speaker 2: co published over one hundred journals, planners, and books. Y'all.
- 46:52Speaker 2: Dropped the new book today, an affirmation book. Y'all, when
- 46:57Speaker 2: he dropped that word power in my spirit, you got
- 47:02Speaker 2: to understand that you are positioned to be an overcomer.
- 47:08Speaker 2: Why because you are a willing vessel. You want to
- 47:12Speaker 2: be used to educate, empower and encourage the next person
- 47:16Speaker 2: through your resilience. See, the enemy don't try to take
- 47:20Speaker 2: you out plenty of times. But it's that will, in
- 47:24Speaker 2: the will that would not let you quit. I could
- 47:27Speaker 2: have quit when when when the enemy told me to
- 47:30Speaker 2: try to commit suicide, I could have quit. I could
- 47:33Speaker 2: have gave up then, But it was that will. It
- 47:36Speaker 2: was that that that spirit on the inside of me
- 47:39Speaker 2: that said, no, you can't give up, you can't quit,
- 47:42Speaker 2: you can't throw in the towel, because I have a
- 47:45Speaker 2: plan for you. That breast that he breathed into us
- 47:50Speaker 2: in Genesis two and seven, y'all, that's the breast of
- 47:53Speaker 2: life that we don't need alarm clock, but we don't
- 47:57Speaker 2: need CPR to wake us up. That breath of life
- 48:01Speaker 2: that he breathed into us everything that we needed, it's
- 48:05Speaker 2: already been depositive in us. I see a lot of
- 48:09Speaker 2: us we get caught up in what everybody is doing
- 48:12Speaker 2: around us that we forget about what we've been called to,
- 48:17Speaker 2: what we're purpose for, that thing that He's made us
- 48:21Speaker 2: passionate about, and we forget and we start looking at Sally,
- 48:28Speaker 2: we saw looking at Johnny, we saw looking at Freddie Boy,
- 48:31Speaker 2: and we saw looking at everybody else. We get distracted
- 48:36Speaker 2: about worldly things instead of staying concerned about the spirit things.
- 48:44Speaker 2: Because see a lot of us we can't even begin
- 48:48Speaker 2: to imagine a lot of the spiritual stuff, because we're
- 48:53Speaker 2: so deep in the flesh that we can't even tap
- 48:56Speaker 2: into the spirit knowing that we are spiritual, knowing that
- 49:02Speaker 2: this is not our home, that we're just passing through.
- 49:10Speaker 2: I know, I know I have truly, truly, truly been
- 49:14Speaker 2: all over the place tonight. But y'all, when God give
- 49:19Speaker 2: you an opportunity, see, you have to take every opportunity
- 49:24Speaker 2: that He allow you as an opportunity to learn, an
- 49:28Speaker 2: opportunity to educate, an opportunity to show love, and opportunity
- 49:33Speaker 2: to be that leader that He placed inside of you. Yeah,
- 49:40Speaker 2: I'm grateful because even in the midst of going through,
- 49:47Speaker 2: God keep showing me who he is. He keeps putting
- 49:50Speaker 2: people in my mist he keep dropping little nuggets in
- 49:54Speaker 2: my spirit. Yeah, I've had questions, and I've actually I've
- 50:02Speaker 2: made those questions known because if I don't ask these questions,
- 50:07Speaker 2: I don't make them known, then I'll still have questions.
- 50:09Speaker 2: I still have doubts, I still have wondering minds because
- 50:14Speaker 2: I don't profess to know everything. So sometimes I have
- 50:18Speaker 2: to I have to tap into one of my spiritual
- 50:21Speaker 2: my spiritual mothers, my spiritual father, my spiritual sister, you know,
- 50:26Speaker 2: because I don't profess to know everything. Yeah, I've never
- 50:30Speaker 2: I can't remember being here. I'm sure I've probably passed
- 50:35Speaker 2: through before, just like a lot of people. We probably
- 50:38Speaker 2: don't pass through and through and through, but I none
- 50:43Speaker 2: of it comes to my reclation. So everything that I'm experiencing,
- 50:49Speaker 2: everything that I'm going through, is a new experience for me.
- 50:55Speaker 2: So we have to take these experiences and we have
- 50:58Speaker 2: to go through them and learn from take take what
- 51:01Speaker 2: we can take from it, and use them as stepping
- 51:03Speaker 2: stones to go to the next level. Because you have
- 51:07Speaker 2: to understand that you not will always be where you are,
- 51:13Speaker 2: because not in a million years that I think I
- 51:15Speaker 2: will ever be on the podcast, let alone have my
- 51:18Speaker 2: own podcast network. Who would have thought I would be
- 51:22Speaker 2: the CEO, the visionary of a magazine, or even have
- 51:29Speaker 2: all of the books under my belt. Never thought you're
- 51:34Speaker 2: talking about a country girl from level Land, South Carolina,
- 51:39Speaker 2: and in Averyville count of outskirts of Anderson. I was
- 51:43Speaker 2: born in Anderson County, lived there most of my life,
- 51:48Speaker 2: but when I was young, I lived in the country.
- 51:52Speaker 2: I lived in in the in in in the in
- 51:55Speaker 2: the outskirts. So I've had to learn grow and develop.
- 52:05Speaker 2: And if would I changed my life, would I go back?
- 52:09Speaker 2: What would I change? I wouldn't change any of it.
- 52:17Speaker 2: I wouldn't change any of it. I have often wondered
- 52:22Speaker 2: what would life be like if I would have had
- 52:25Speaker 2: my mom. But then I couldn't imagine, you know, I
- 52:32Speaker 2: couldn't imagine because if this would have happened, then this
- 52:34Speaker 2: would have happened, this would have happened, this would have happened,
- 52:36Speaker 2: then maybe none of where I am right now would
- 52:40Speaker 2: be So I realized that everything happens for a reason.
- 52:48Speaker 2: Yeah we hurt, Yeah we go through but we get
- 52:53Speaker 2: through it. And every day it is about how we cope,
- 52:59Speaker 2: how we manage you. When you wake up in the morning,
- 53:04Speaker 2: you set president for yourself. You can set the stage
- 53:08Speaker 2: for how your day is gonna go. You can you
- 53:13Speaker 2: can get up and you can prepare yourself for how
- 53:16Speaker 2: your day is gonna go. But you gotta start early.
- 53:21Speaker 2: You can't jump up at eight o'clock and and and
- 53:25Speaker 2: think that you're gonna have your mindset, have your everything
- 53:29Speaker 2: together by nine o'clock, by the time for you to
- 53:32Speaker 2: go to work. Y'all, every morning, for the last seventy
- 53:39Speaker 2: six days, I've been getting up about anywhere between three
- 53:45Speaker 2: thirty and four fifteen to prepare for five am prayer.
- 53:55Speaker 2: So I get up and let's and I'm gonna be honest,
- 53:59Speaker 2: sometime I do oversleep. I have overslept a couple of times,
- 54:04Speaker 2: but most of the time I'm up and I'm preparing.
- 54:07Speaker 2: I'm getting myself mentally and emotionally ready for the day.
- 54:13Speaker 2: I know some of us don't want to get up
- 54:15Speaker 2: and exercise, don't want to get up and do anything
- 54:18Speaker 2: because we're tired. But I've come to realize that if
- 54:22Speaker 2: you're tired and you go ahead and push yourself, then
- 54:25Speaker 2: that when you was tired, you didn't you get energy,
- 54:28Speaker 2: like energy come from nowhere, like where the energy come from.
- 54:35Speaker 2: But you got to push yourself. You have to step
- 54:39Speaker 2: outside the box. You have to do some things that
- 54:41Speaker 2: maybe you don't normally do. I know another thing that
- 54:46Speaker 2: I have been doing, and I'm really really gonna focus
- 54:49Speaker 2: more on this going into twenty twenty five, and that
- 54:52Speaker 2: is I have tried dibbling and dabbling and vegan and
- 55:01Speaker 2: eating vegetables, and I tell you, I have truly enjoyed it.
- 55:06Speaker 2: So I'm still kind of you know, what if I
- 55:12Speaker 2: miss this or what if I missed that? Then I've
- 55:13Speaker 2: been looking at a lot of stuff and then I'm
- 55:15Speaker 2: not gonna miss it. You know, sometimes I found myself
- 55:21Speaker 2: not even eating, like literally fasted one mele of day
- 55:25Speaker 2: sometimes and I don't feel no different. I don't feel
- 55:33Speaker 2: the lack of nothing, no nothing like. And I'm like,
- 55:36Speaker 2: I really need to practice this. I really could do
- 55:38Speaker 2: this one mile of day and get on my juices
- 55:42Speaker 2: like I enjoyed juice. And it's a lot of work,
- 55:44Speaker 2: but you guys gotta be dedicated and committed to it.
- 55:48Speaker 2: And if you're dedicated and committed to it, if you
- 55:50Speaker 2: won't change it to come. I'm looking at I looked
- 55:54Speaker 2: at my sister, I looked at I've looked at a
- 55:56Speaker 2: lot of people around me that we tried different things,
- 56:01Speaker 2: and some of the things that worked, we're sticking with them.
- 56:05Speaker 2: Like I I gave up the sodas and I don't
- 56:11Speaker 2: miss it. I don't miss it at all. I've been
- 56:17Speaker 2: gave up. I can't tell y'all when the last time
- 56:21Speaker 2: I had some pork my mother was. My mother was
- 56:27Speaker 2: still living the last time I had pork. I have
- 56:29Speaker 2: not had any port since my mom passed. I've started
- 56:36Speaker 2: to get away from the red meat, you know. And
- 56:39Speaker 2: all these are changes that we made that to better
- 56:43Speaker 2: ourselves and to help give us energy and to re
- 56:48Speaker 2: energize ourselves because the beginning, remember I gave you three
- 56:52Speaker 2: steps that we can that we can incorporate and move
- 57:01Speaker 2: into these last these last seventy six days of twenty
- 57:07Speaker 2: twenty four. Again, how can we finish the strong one?
- 57:15Speaker 2: We got to set some goals, remember that set some goals.
- 57:19Speaker 2: Identify pacific, achievable goals that you want to accomplish by
- 57:23Speaker 2: the end of the year. What is one thing that
- 57:26Speaker 2: you want to do by the end of the year
- 57:29Speaker 2: that you have not done yet, that you thought that
- 57:34Speaker 2: maybe you would have done, but you've not done yet.
- 57:37Speaker 2: Focus on that thing and try to complete it before
- 57:42Speaker 2: the end of twenty twenty four. Prioritize self care. I've
- 57:52Speaker 2: been harping on this for a minute, y'all. Taking care
- 57:56Speaker 2: of your mental and physical health is crucial that that
- 58:02Speaker 2: that should be above a lot of the stuff that
- 58:05Speaker 2: we pray. Prioritize because if you're not mentally and physically okay,
- 58:12Speaker 2: you ain't gonna be no good for nobody else. So
- 58:15Speaker 2: you have to make time. You have to plan time
- 58:19Speaker 2: to rejuvenate and energize yourself. So planning time to go
- 58:24Speaker 2: to that SPA, planning time to go out to lunch,
- 58:29Speaker 2: planning time for different things that will help you rejuvenate. Okay,
- 58:37Speaker 2: so y'all we have another caller. We have calling number
- 58:40Speaker 2: six and Q calling number six. If you would please
- 58:43Speaker 2: state your name and where you're calling from. Please and
- 58:50Speaker 2: I'm fine. How are you?
- 58:53Speaker 5: I'm good? Like you can tell that it's very good
- 59:00Speaker 5: and energy that you really want to be inspired because
- 59:02Speaker 5: the people and you know you can do it. I
- 59:06Speaker 5: just wanted to let you know that there was a time.
- 59:10Speaker 5: There was a time I stopped drinking fort for a
- 59:12Speaker 5: long time, and as soon as I stopped, I blew up.
- 59:16Speaker 5: It was the craziest thing. You think you lose weight,
- 59:19Speaker 5: but I actually gaining weight. And I remember commercial around
- 59:22Speaker 5: that time that's at the same thing, and the same
- 59:24Speaker 5: thing happened to me. I don't know why, but I
- 59:28Speaker 5: know that I don't know. I don't use sugar in
- 59:31Speaker 5: anything I have to do sugar, I don't know. Over
- 59:34Speaker 5: ten years, maybe fifteen years and anything at all, there
- 59:38Speaker 5: was a point where I didn't but tell them my
- 59:40Speaker 5: food at all, but I kind of started doing it again,
- 59:43Speaker 5: and then I don't I don't like to fry any foods,
- 59:47Speaker 5: but if I have to use oil, I use like
- 59:52Speaker 5: coconut oil or avocado oil, and avocado has the highest
- 59:55Speaker 5: oldn place. I just wanted to share that. But also
- 59:58Speaker 5: on top of that, something else you were talking about
- 1:00:01Speaker 5: getting up earlier, Like I have like really really sad anxiety,
- 1:00:06Speaker 5: and it's just like how can I put it? Like
- 1:00:11Speaker 5: getting up a little bit earlier, it does help. It
- 1:00:13Speaker 5: really does help a lot, Like they have more time
- 1:00:16Speaker 5: to do things. But for me personally, for some reason,
- 1:00:19Speaker 5: I still feel like I need more time even if
- 1:00:21Speaker 5: I get up thick four hours early, and I guess
- 1:00:23Speaker 5: because it's from being maintained and having to sit down
- 1:00:26Speaker 5: and things like that. So like I like, I like
- 1:00:30Speaker 5: the things just saying as far as getting up and
- 1:00:32Speaker 5: starting with parents, start exercise, like like those are those
- 1:00:35Speaker 5: are really good points. You know. I'm struggling with with
- 1:00:39Speaker 5: stuff like that too, because I never know how I'm
- 1:00:41Speaker 5: gonna feel every day with out in my eyes, Like
- 1:00:44Speaker 5: I don't know how much my paying level is to
- 1:00:46Speaker 5: even get up or do whatever it is, So it's
- 1:00:49Speaker 5: kind of difficult for me. But I do like what
- 1:00:52Speaker 5: you're saying is like a little inspiring to me, you know,
- 1:00:55Speaker 5: to even just try one thing that I do I
- 1:00:57Speaker 5: try to do, which I gotta get back on doing.
- 1:01:00Speaker 5: Like I have a planner and I have like an
- 1:01:03Speaker 5: acronym that I'll use because I'll do things you know,
- 1:01:07Speaker 5: for the day each day, and that kind of keeps
- 1:01:09Speaker 5: me like more stabilized, like prayer, reading something every day,
- 1:01:15Speaker 5: learning something new every day. Like I literally go on
- 1:01:18Speaker 5: the phone and just type of random stuff and see
- 1:01:20Speaker 5: what comes up and read it. You know, there's just
- 1:01:24Speaker 5: so many different things I do. But I like, I
- 1:01:25Speaker 5: love this I're talking about and You're always you. Every
- 1:01:29Speaker 5: time I hear you talk, I can feel the genuine
- 1:01:32Speaker 5: you know, like this of your voice said, how you
- 1:01:34Speaker 5: really want to cut somebody? So we need more people
- 1:01:37Speaker 5: right that you know that?
- 1:01:39Speaker 4: Wow?
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: Well, I tell you I'm in a place where I
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: mean w BN and this is what they grow, This
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: is who they grown, this is this is this is
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: what they taught me. I'm just being me. And to
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: go back to something that you said, just know that
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: you know your challenges and if you write down and
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: chart different so different days you may not be feeling good.
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: You write down those different things and and and and
- 1:02:16Speaker 2: begin to I'm sure you are affirmation. Lady speak Some
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: speak speak that word over yourself. Speak some affirmations into yourself,
- 1:02:25Speaker 2: you know, and when even when when you don't feel
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: like it, because it'd be days. You know, a lot
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: of people look at me and they think that I'm okay,
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: But I have pains. I have complications from when I
- 1:02:37Speaker 2: was shot. I suffer from sciatica. I suffer from different things.
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: But for for people to see me, they think that,
- 1:02:47Speaker 2: you know, nothing goes on with me. But there's days
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: when I can harddly move. I got a heating pad
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: over here right now because I had I was having
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: pains in my left shoulder. Didn't know what those pains
- 1:03:00Speaker 2: were coming from. But oftentimes I have different pains from
- 1:03:05Speaker 2: different different things something because I can't sit too long,
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: I can't lay too long, I can't stand too long. Baby,
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: I know your struggle, so I know, but I tell
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: you so well with that. Yeah, but it'd be some
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: days when I I say, well, you know what, I'm
- 1:03:25Speaker 2: gonna go walking. I can't go walk in every day,
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: but it's on those days that you can, you know
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: what I'm saying. The days that you can.
- 1:03:37Speaker 5: Funny because today I wanted some really good food today
- 1:03:40Speaker 5: and we have a restaurant. It's not like right here
- 1:03:42Speaker 5: and out. That's the distance that I normally would never walk.
- 1:03:45Speaker 5: So I was telling myself, like let's walk, and it
- 1:03:48Speaker 5: was just a special mess of us just walking together,
- 1:03:51Speaker 5: like you know, they just got me through everything. Like
- 1:03:53Speaker 5: I'm like, you know, I'm in pen my just walking
- 1:03:56Speaker 5: with you, you know, being in you know, I like
- 1:03:59Speaker 5: these moments view you know, just walking, you know, talking
- 1:04:02Speaker 5: and laughing and just like you know, just something some
- 1:04:05Speaker 5: simpler people probably waiting't care like we have some like
- 1:04:09Speaker 5: juice that I forget where the care comes from, but
- 1:04:11Speaker 5: like we're sharing the juice. Like to me, those little
- 1:04:14Speaker 5: things are special. So it kind of takes took my
- 1:04:16Speaker 5: mind off of it. And I know it's that, you know,
- 1:04:18Speaker 5: like I call him my pain that it's been like
- 1:04:20Speaker 5: what I'm in teen it literally can just I'm not
- 1:04:22Speaker 5: even joking touching and my pain was away, I'm not
- 1:04:26Speaker 5: even joking. And his mother said he had that gifts
- 1:04:28Speaker 5: that he carried, so like, you know, I feel comfortable,
- 1:04:31Speaker 5: but not I know not everybody has that, but people
- 1:04:34Speaker 5: who are listening. I know, we had twenty nine money listeners.
- 1:04:37Speaker 5: I'm telling you. The one thing that helped me so much.
- 1:04:39Speaker 5: I've had next team since two thousand and two, really badly.
- 1:04:45Speaker 5: I had to wear a neck brace and everything when
- 1:04:48Speaker 5: you know, from being an acted and everything. And there's
- 1:04:51Speaker 5: a thing called there's a company Urbanology and it's PPD
- 1:04:55Speaker 5: pain cream. It helps so much. So I hope that
- 1:04:58Speaker 5: maybe you can try to get of it to try
- 1:05:00Speaker 5: it really works. I also have a pen. It's a
- 1:05:04Speaker 5: portable pen and it's a tend unit. You don't need
- 1:05:07Speaker 5: to put the electrods on your body. I think it's
- 1:05:10Speaker 5: by hence Vina or something like that. You turn it
- 1:05:13Speaker 5: on now you can keep it at the lowest setting.
- 1:05:15Speaker 5: Bowel you that's your pain. You put it. I mean
- 1:05:17Speaker 5: it can help. It really can help stimulate the nerves
- 1:05:20Speaker 5: and everything like that. So I don't I'm not going
- 1:05:22Speaker 5: to say a hundred that will help you, but I
- 1:05:25Speaker 5: know that there's definitely it's helped me and also black
- 1:05:28Speaker 5: people oil by means. So I just wanted to share
- 1:05:31Speaker 5: the things that you know I have and that mesium
- 1:05:34Speaker 5: oil as well as spray actually helped. So I don't know,
- 1:05:37Speaker 5: if you know, if you want to know these things,
- 1:05:40Speaker 5: you can you know, contact me, you know.
- 1:05:42Speaker 2: Like, wow, my number well, you know, I'm.
- 1:05:45Speaker 5: Looking for anybody else if you want.
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: I'm always for natural. I'm always for natural. Yeah, remedies
- 1:05:53Speaker 2: I use. There's some ginger ore. Ginger are is good
- 1:05:57Speaker 2: for pain as well. Okay, I man, wow, I'm gonna
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: tell you I had a toothache once and my sister
- 1:06:07Speaker 2: said she took the ginger oil. She put some in
- 1:06:12Speaker 2: my hand, and she said, rub it wherever it's hurting.
- 1:06:14Speaker 2: And I just rubbed it all over my jaw. And
- 1:06:17Speaker 2: I'm telling you, probably about twenty minutes later, I was
- 1:06:20Speaker 2: in no pain. I was in no pain, kid, you
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: not you know what.
- 1:06:26Speaker 5: I just recently was in so much pain because my
- 1:06:29Speaker 5: ear was hurting me really bad. I talked about the
- 1:06:31Speaker 5: condition I have with the hearing. Well, my ear was
- 1:06:33Speaker 5: hurting me so bad that I literally, I'm not even
- 1:06:36Speaker 5: joking that it went down into my mouth, so I
- 1:06:39Speaker 5: feel it in my teeth. So I was trying to
- 1:06:41Speaker 5: find the nerve. I was using crow oil. I used
- 1:06:44Speaker 5: it so much in my mouth that I burnt my
- 1:06:47Speaker 5: kind of my face. You can't really tell her. I
- 1:06:49Speaker 5: feel it like cl oil is also the bert for
- 1:06:52Speaker 5: two pigs as well, but like I used to it
- 1:06:56Speaker 5: and it hurts so sad that I was talking to
- 1:06:58Speaker 5: a friend. I was like, oh my god, this isn't
- 1:06:59Speaker 5: hurt so bad. I'd rather have my laith book. And
- 1:07:01Speaker 5: I mean that I still I'm not in pain right
- 1:07:03Speaker 5: now with my mouth but in my ear, but I
- 1:07:05Speaker 5: really meant that that's how bad my pin was because
- 1:07:07Speaker 5: it's too I think too sick is the worst pain ever,
- 1:07:11Speaker 5: Like ear and tooth is like the worst pain there.
- 1:07:13Speaker 5: I think it's even worse than my fiber minus there,
- 1:07:15Speaker 5: like it's just the worst. Like I was like, oh man,
- 1:07:20Speaker 5: and I can't paint pain medicine because of this. I'm
- 1:07:23Speaker 5: not really into it, but I really wanted to because
- 1:07:26Speaker 5: it hurt that bad. But if I did, I could die,
- 1:07:29Speaker 5: like there's something that happens. But if so, I can't
- 1:07:31Speaker 5: do it. So it's like I had to suffer and
- 1:07:33Speaker 5: you and the pope. It wasn't working, but I didn't
- 1:07:36Speaker 5: have any I can. I'm gonna look into ginger. Well
- 1:07:38Speaker 5: that's really but I know that I had like natural gender.
- 1:07:42Speaker 5: I don't know why anything to cut up in my mouth,
- 1:07:44Speaker 5: I shuldy did that, but also putting like like the clothes,
- 1:07:47Speaker 5: I continued them from Walmart and this season, I'll they
- 1:07:49Speaker 5: like a little small bag. You put them in your
- 1:07:51Speaker 5: mouth and just let it sit on you, like your
- 1:07:54Speaker 5: gum line, like if you're a hereache and if it's
- 1:07:57Speaker 5: going down in your mouth or whatever, like to the nerve.
- 1:08:00Speaker 5: I'm telling you where it works. You know it may
- 1:08:02Speaker 5: not work right away, but the quote will really works.
- 1:08:05Speaker 5: So thank you for the ginger oil because I'm gonna
- 1:08:07Speaker 5: look into that. I'm I'm like I like learning like
- 1:08:10Speaker 5: new things. I don't know anything about the oil, but
- 1:08:11Speaker 5: I know. But just so thank you so much to
- 1:08:13Speaker 5: anybody listening if you want those things I mentioned because
- 1:08:16Speaker 5: a chance to trade of people Instagram and my show
- 1:08:21Speaker 5: will be this Friday, The Power of Poto. I'll be
- 1:08:23Speaker 5: talking about pain and pleasure. So thank you so much.
- 1:08:27Speaker 11: Angel.
- 1:08:27Speaker 5: I don't know if you have any questions from anything
- 1:08:29Speaker 5: else to say, but I just want to just say,
- 1:08:32Speaker 5: you know, I appreciate you and caring about you, know
- 1:08:35Speaker 5: like everybody, I really do. So like I appreciate you
- 1:08:38Speaker 5: being a person just that of love and just it's
- 1:08:43Speaker 5: being genuine with you, like I like I've never met you,
- 1:08:45Speaker 5: but I know that you are get person. I feel it.

- 1:10:47Speaker 4: I'm saying. I actually might have to do the whole.
- 1:10:49Speaker 4: Uh do the whole? Uh Andreas fall from the tour.
- 1:10:54Speaker 2: That's but I wanted.

- 1:11:03Speaker 4: You know what I'm saying, you know elegantly, you know, Uh,
- 1:11:07Speaker 4: I come from I come from a situation where I
- 1:11:11Speaker 4: had to turn some things around. You know what I mean.
- 1:11:13Speaker 4: Clep One was out head, Uh you know, uh kind
- 1:11:18Speaker 4: of I kind of I think I was abusing myself.
- 1:11:21Speaker 4: You know what I mean, you know I was being
- 1:11:23Speaker 4: a let's see a professional wine taster. Uh, let me
- 1:11:28Speaker 4: see a kind of soil whiskey drinker. Uh and uh
- 1:11:33Speaker 4: you know and and I and I drank uh micro
- 1:11:37Speaker 4: biz and craft beers for sports, you know what I
- 1:11:40Speaker 4: mean for tasting. And you know during those times, I
- 1:11:44Speaker 4: had that guy have it.
- 1:11:46Speaker 5: You know what I'm saying.
- 1:11:47Speaker 4: You know, smoke this smoke, that smoke, brisket, butter up
- 1:11:50Speaker 4: this sauce, but it out that sauce, you know what
- 1:11:53Speaker 4: I mean. But now these days, you know, I had
- 1:11:56Speaker 4: to switch it around, keep it nice and drimp, you
- 1:11:59Speaker 4: know all that.
- 1:12:00Speaker 5: Uh.
- 1:12:00Speaker 4: What I do is I recommend for people to you know,
- 1:12:03Speaker 4: want to keep it getting prem you know what I mean. Uh,
- 1:12:06Speaker 4: you know, stay off for the pastas. You know what
- 1:12:08Speaker 4: I'm saying, Lay off the pastas, lay off the potatoes,
- 1:12:12Speaker 4: you know what I mean. And you know if you
- 1:12:13Speaker 4: get help and lay off the rice. You know what
- 1:12:15Speaker 4: I'm saying. You know, we like that rice, you know
- 1:12:19Speaker 4: we do. We we cut those things out. Get a
- 1:12:21Speaker 4: little bit more fruits, a little bit more vegetables. Don't
- 1:12:23Speaker 4: be scared of a little bit protein reverally, Really the
- 1:12:26Speaker 4: protein is is uh is a means of provision for
- 1:12:31Speaker 4: those on the earth. You know what I'm saying. It's
- 1:12:33Speaker 4: all about how you do it. You know what I'm saying.
- 1:12:35Speaker 4: So't be scared of the proteins. But you know I
- 1:12:39Speaker 4: had I had some good stuff to one heir, you
- 1:12:41Speaker 4: know what I'm saying. And I just wanted to give
- 1:12:43Speaker 4: a Neto stat and swoop down food. Ain't gliding to
- 1:12:46Speaker 4: get a you know, g a shout out.
- 1:12:48Speaker 8: Uh.
- 1:12:49Speaker 4: You know what I'm saying. You know, hopefully I will
- 1:12:51Speaker 4: get that pan of string beinstead. You know, just talking
- 1:12:54Speaker 4: that vegan stuff.
- 1:12:58Speaker 2: Well, I did say I was a vegan. I just
- 1:13:01Speaker 2: said that I have practiced and that I think I
- 1:13:05Speaker 2: can do it because I've done it for six six
- 1:13:09Speaker 2: to I think eight months was the longest.
- 1:13:12Speaker 4: So I'm just saying, you think I just make a
- 1:13:16Speaker 4: couple of pieces of fried fishing there and can get
- 1:13:19Speaker 4: those string games or something. It's a flood, one might
- 1:13:23Speaker 4: need a little playing something.
- 1:13:25Speaker 2: There's some fried fish. I might can do some fish.
- 1:13:28Speaker 2: I might can do some fish, depending on what kind
- 1:13:30Speaker 2: of fish it is.
- 1:13:34Speaker 4: All right, maybe I'll get a triple X dad, you
- 1:13:36Speaker 4: know what I mean. Do some fishing while I'm over
- 1:13:38Speaker 4: there after finish, ain't griden, you know what I mean.
- 1:13:41Speaker 4: That's how we're gonna keep it on gain and.
- 1:13:43Speaker 2: Out there all right then, but.
- 1:13:46Speaker 4: All right, but yeah, I just wanted to stab in
- 1:13:48Speaker 4: with that, you know what I'm saying. You know, I
- 1:13:49Speaker 4: didn't want to make too much noise, you know, I
- 1:13:52Speaker 4: just wanted to come, you know, swooping with that and
- 1:13:55Speaker 4: uh and get you a shout out and keep on
- 1:13:58Speaker 4: doing what you're doing. You know what I'm saying. We
- 1:13:59Speaker 4: need were women like you, stern and uh to to
- 1:14:03Speaker 4: fall to the floor like like yourself. You know what
- 1:14:06Speaker 4: I'm saying, you know, with you know, because we all
- 1:14:09Speaker 4: get this done yet, and you know, multitasking the way
- 1:14:13Speaker 4: will well women multitask, you know what I'm saying. They
- 1:14:15Speaker 4: can kind of exhort their energies to things that benefit
- 1:14:19Speaker 4: themselves and the people. You know what I'm saying. So
- 1:14:23Speaker 4: I just one to stab in with that. I'm clever
- 1:14:25Speaker 4: one one half of the Booze Brothers, represented from the
- 1:14:30Speaker 4: Broad Street Bully Shots, Philadelphia, where we need sot pretuice
