- 0:00Welcome to World View Matters, discussing controversial issues, discerning current events,
- 0:10defending biblical Christianity.
- 0:13No topic, off limits.
- 0:16And now, here's your host, David Fierazzo.
- 0:19Friends, I know I've been saying this a lot lately.
- 0:22First of all, thank you for watching, listening, and sharing the podcast.
- 0:25We've got another troublemaker for the Kingdom of God that, uh, special treat for you again
- 0:31today, uh, Paul Blair, former NFL player, now pastor LibertyPastors.com, he's the senior
- 0:38pastor at Fairview Baptist Church, Edmund Oklahoma, I've been there, great church, wonderful
- 0:43people.
- 0:45Liberty Pastors equip and train men of God to go back and equip and build up their congregation
- 0:52so they can go out into the world and try to get some, uh, some sense going on, some
- 0:58righteousness and, and influence of Christ into our culture that really needs it, because
- 1:02it's in chaos.
- 1:03But I want to bring in Paul Blair right now, brother, so good to see you.
- 1:06Thanks for your time today.
- 1:07David, it's always the pleasure to talk with you.
- 1:10It's been too long, but I'm glad I can, uh, glad I can make it all fit today.
- 1:13Thank you for having me on.
- 1:15Yep, you're welcome.
- 1:16Now, this is a new audience here since we talked last on a previous show.
- 1:20So you played with the Chicago Bears, you were, uh, alignment and you were with, was it
- 1:25Walter Payton and some of these guys?
- 1:27And did you go to the Super Bowl?
- 1:29No, that's a sore subject.
- 1:31I went to Super Bowl in, uh, January of 86 and I was drafted in April of 86.
- 1:38I was one of three rookies to make that defending world championship team.
- 1:42Wow.
- 1:43As you can see in the, in the background behind me, of course, you make man was one of my
- 1:47teammates.
- 1:48And, uh, the tragic thing is I was sitting here having to endure green Bay still being
- 1:54alive a couple of weeks ago was back in night, or 1986.
- 2:00We were playing green Bay as my rookie year at soldier field and Mac through an interception.
- 2:07And green Bay had a, had a, a bug for a nose guard named Charles Martin and Charles Martin.
- 2:13And that's the, the serious fact you Google search and you'll find it.
- 2:16Well, it'll blow your mind.
- 2:18Charles Martin came up behind Jimmy man, picked him up, bear hugged him, picked him up in
- 2:23the air and then just drove his shoulder into the astroturf.
- 2:27And that was the end of gym season.
- 2:29And really the end of our chance to have a dynasty.
- 2:33You know, man was out for the rest of the year.
- 2:35We went 14 and two my rookie year that got beaten the first round of the playoffs because
- 2:40we had Doug Flutey as a quarterback of all things for a period of time.
- 2:45But yeah, it was the, it was the most, it was the cheapest of all cheap shots that I've
- 2:49ever seen and had nothing to do with football.
- 2:52Literally just came up behind him, bear hugged him, picked him up and drove him into the
- 2:56air after turf.
- 2:57And it, and it was basically the end of, of who knows how many promos gym would have gone
- 3:02to have hadn't been for that and how many supermoles we had gone to.
- 3:06But you're the one that brought this up, David.
- 3:08I picked this gap.
- 3:09I know I picked that a scab, Paul.
- 3:11I'm sorry.
- 3:12But I remember, I didn't remember that until you just brought that up and I'm going,
- 3:15wow, that did happen.
- 3:17But anyway, and Jim McMahon ended up backing up Brett Farve and Green Bay.
- 3:21Yeah, Jim, he wound up going to San Diego and then finished up there in Green Bay.
- 3:25Yeah, he got, and he still had some game and he, but Jim was a competitor.
- 3:29I mean, he was really brilliant football line.
- 3:31He was just a wild guy off the field, but he was a brilliant football player and had
- 3:35the mentality of alignment.
- 3:37I mean, he was like, uh, he was like Josh Allen for the bills.
- 3:40I mean, he even throws his body around and wasn't afraid of contact.
- 3:43So sadly, uh, sadly that, uh, people wonder, they look at the 85 bears and they say,
- 3:49well, that was one of the greatest teams all time.
- 3:51Well, we should have had a dynasty and, and sadly, the, the injury with Mac is the reason
- 3:57we didn't.
- 3:58Yeah.
- 3:59Well, one of the things I want to talk about is football, even though I had you on as,
- 4:04you know, Liberty Pastors, we wanted to mention the events coming up.
- 4:07My pastor went to one a couple of years ago, phenomenal, uh, these training sessions.
- 4:13He's boot camps for pastors to go home and just equip their congregations.
- 4:17But I'm looking at coaches and NFL players that are praising the name of Jesus and glorifying
- 4:22God.
- 4:23And I'm really thankful.
- 4:24I'm looking at this sports spectrum post that's got Ravens, Baltimore Ravens head coach John
- 4:29Harbaugh sharing about servant type leadership that reflects Jesus.
- 4:35And I know he's offending some people.
- 4:37And then you got Jim Harbaugh and I want to just share this headline over at CBN News,
- 4:42Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh reveals many revival, 70 players baptized last season.
- 4:50So Paul Blair, what's going on?
- 4:52I mean, I'm thankful for these guys and, uh, I just would love to hear your take on
- 4:56that.
- 4:57Well, you know, it's exciting to see the name of Jesus proclaimed everywhere and to
- 5:03see some of these phenomenal athletes.
- 5:06And you know, you can tell when a guy is just, you know, saying, hey, thanks to the big guy
- 5:10upstairs versus someone that really talks with knowledge of having a relationship with
- 5:15Jesus.
- 5:16And it's so encouraging because, you know, we live in a, a sports intoxicated world and
- 5:22especially in America.
- 5:23Yeah.
- 5:24So for these young men that are growing up and in our world today and many of them, you
- 5:29know, without a father in the homes, be able to have some real bold, strong, tough guy
- 5:35men that have gentle, sensitive hearts and are surrendered to the Lord as a great evangelistic
- 5:42tool and a great outreach to all of the youngsters growing up in our country.
- 5:47So I'm thrilled.
- 5:48I don't know John Harbaugh personally.
- 5:50I've always liked the guy I like as demeanor.
- 5:52Of course, Jim and I were teammates for two years when he was drafted out of Michigan.
- 5:57But you know, that was eons ago.
- 5:59That was 40 years ago.
- 6:00So I haven't talked to him in ages.
- 6:02But to hear those kind of testimonies, by frankly, this quarterback from the, the, the
- 6:08Texans.
- 6:09Yes.
- 6:10CJ Stroud.
- 6:11Very little about that young man prior to his rookie year, but he has seems to me an incredible
- 6:15kid.
- 6:16And of course, there's great passion and his love for Jesus that just bubbles out when
- 6:21he's on, on cameras is great.
- 6:23Yep.
- 6:24I'm glad you brought that up because even after losing, he won one playoff game.
- 6:29He glorified Jesus Christ, by the way, NBC, you know, censored that out the Jesus part.
- 6:34And then after they lost the next game, CJ Stroud said, I just really want to praise my
- 6:40Lord and save your Jesus Christ.
- 6:43And he, you very rarely hear that in a loss, but that platform he's using his platform
- 6:49to glorify God, Paul.
- 6:52And you know what?
- 6:53The name of Jesus is offensive to the lost world.
- 6:56When you listen to all these sports guys or musicians or whatever, they talk about faith,
- 7:02you know, we're people of faith.
- 7:04What does that mean?
- 7:05I mean, what does people of faith mean?
- 7:07I mean, everybody has faith in something.
- 7:10You know, atheists have faith that there is no God.
- 7:13You know, so we're, we're all people of faith to some degree.
- 7:17And of course, the journalists are happy to have you talk about Allah or any other, you
- 7:22know, higher power or the man upstairs, but as soon as you bring up the name of Jesus,
- 7:27you can just see that they get uncomfortable and they're ready to cut to a different camera.
- 7:32So I love the fact that they're having, having it from so many different directions.
- 7:36You know, you can't just get rid of Strauss.
- 7:38You can't just get rid of Harbaugh.
- 7:40I mean, there's so many of these great coaches and players that are, that are out there sharing
- 7:45their testimony to the world.
- 7:47So it's a phenomenal time for Christians.
- 7:49Yeah.
- 7:50We're just mentioning a few because I mean, the Harbaughs are in the headlines now.
- 7:54Jim college, the national championship with Michigan.
- 7:57Now he's going to be coaching San Diego, John Harbaugh is going to the NFC championship
- 8:02game with the Ravens, but there are players and coaches across the country.
- 8:06And discipleship can happen.
- 8:09We think of sports as just entertainment, but we forget these are young men of God.
- 8:14And some of them are very influential with their platforms.
- 8:18Paul, I want to go back to the Philadelphia Eagles.
- 8:21The year they won the Super Bowl.
- 8:22I studied that year.
- 8:24I was watching their chaplain make disciples.
- 8:27I remember they had a game down in Jacksonville, Florida.
- 8:30And in the hotel pool, they were baptizing players and converting young men.
- 8:36And Nick Foles, who won the Super Bowl, went on to be a pastor.
- 8:40There's Zach Erts and all these other guys, Tray Burton didn't end up with Chicago.
- 8:45These were Christian men that were after that year, they were sent out, but it takes
- 8:50a chaplain and it takes some leaders.
- 8:52Go ahead and share your thoughts on that.
- 8:54Well, I tell you what, it's such an encouragement to see this revival that seems to be taking
- 9:00place because back in the day when I was playing, everybody would get up and just before
- 9:08a kickoff, everybody was on their knees.
- 9:11God help me, help me to win today, help us to win today, help me to play great today.
- 9:16And then, immediately after the game was over, it's like, okay, God, you can take the
- 9:19week off.
- 9:20I'll see you again next Sunday for kickoff.
- 9:23So there's that type of so-called faith and then there's what we're seeing with these
- 9:28young men.
- 9:29And I tell you what, to see the testimony of like Foles with what happened in Philadelphia.
- 9:35And of course, there's a number, there was a number of strong believers on that team.
- 9:39But seeing just the influence that one, one man who's bold and unapologetic and the
- 9:45real deal, the amount of influence that one man can have in his work environment, whether
- 9:51it be down at the office building or in the locker room is amazing.
- 9:55And it also should just go to show us that it's all about the Holy Spirit.
- 10:00We just need to be faithful in standing up for Jesus and everything that we do and it's
- 10:05up to the Lord to light fires or not.
- 10:08So it's just amazing to see the work that's being done and who God is using to advance
- 10:16the work of the kingdom right now.
- 10:17Amen, brother.
- 10:18And we're going to talk about Liberty Pastors in a minute and just some of the things I
- 10:22found on a page called Next Steps for Pastors.
- 10:25I like some of these things.
- 10:27We'll talk about some of the principles.
- 10:28But before we do that, we're going to transition by just reading the verse that John Harbock
- 10:33quoted after the game last week when they won going to the championship game.
- 10:38He said, first Chronicles 29, 11, greatness, power, glory, victory and honor belong to
- 10:44you because everything in heaven and earth belongs to you.
- 10:48The kingdom belongs to you, Lord.
- 10:51You are the head and ruler over everything.
- 10:54And so Paul, that it sounds like that's a man who knows his position and knows who is
- 11:00an authority, right?
- 11:02Well, it's pretty impressive that you've got an American Christian that's actually looked
- 11:06at the new to the Old Testament somewhere, you know, most, most American churches just
- 11:12think it's a placeholder, you can get to the Gospels, but it's it's it was encouraging
- 11:17to see that and that it was a verse and a second or Chronicles that then Harbock latched
- 11:22on to you.
- 11:23So that's, that's a good sign as well.
- 11:25That's funny that you say that pretty good transition though because that's what you do
- 11:30at Liberty Pastors.
- 11:31It's the whole Bible from Genesis to Revelation.
- 11:34The whole Council of God and you say the first point is to pastors, you must be committed
- 11:39to preaching the whole gospel, not just the parts that people want to hear and some people
- 11:45just are more comfortable with the New Testament and that's for a whole other story.
- 11:50They avoid Bible prophecy, they avoid revelation.
- 11:54But Paul, you've got an event coming up in Georgia.
- 11:57I would love for you friends watching and listening to get this to your pastor and tell him
- 12:03this is an opportunity to go and be fully equipped with an arsenal to bring back to your
- 12:09home church.
- 12:10Paul, share about what's happening at St. Simmons Island, Georgia, February 26th through
- 12:14the 29th.
- 12:15Well, David, you mentioned it and really what makes Liberty Pastors so different.
- 12:22We've had groups for the last 50 years trying to awaken the pulpit, recognizing what kind
- 12:29of an influence the body of Christ could have on our culture.
- 12:34And you don't have to look far in the Bible to see what happens when there's an on fire
- 12:39church.
- 12:40You look and look at Acts and see the influence that that church and Ephesus had on their
- 12:45community.
- 12:46And then you consider that Ephesus was the headquarters of worship of the great Dionysus.
- 12:52I mean, it was a tourist attraction and pagan small over the world coming there to worship
- 12:57this pagan God and participate some of the demian sexual behavior that went along with
- 13:01it.
- 13:02Yet you have this body of Christ, these Christians that had such an impact on their culture
- 13:08and their community that it wasn't long until the silversmith's guild was complaining
- 13:13to the city council, saying we need to get rid of these Christians because they're
- 13:17hurting business.
- 13:18People are coming to the temple of Diana anymore.
- 13:20People aren't buying the little silver shrines.
- 13:23And we think that our faith shouldn't affect the culture, belonging, genuine faith can
- 13:28do nothing but affect the culture.
- 13:30The illustration a moment ago of the locker room in Philadelphia when you bring in one or
- 13:35two on fire Christians and what their genuine testimony, how it affects the others in
- 13:41the locker room.
- 13:43You'll see the problem we have with pastors in American David is most pastors have been
- 13:48taught in seminary that if they ever talk about something political or talk about the
- 13:53realm of civil government that they're sinning, though, you know, he got these guys that are
- 13:58well intentioned that they've never thought that through, but they think, oh, if I talk
- 14:02about economics, should I talk about a biblical civil government that I'm sinning?
- 14:08Well, it's actually the exact opposite of that.
- 14:12And the Bible doesn't begin in end in John 3, God's Word begins in Genesis 1 and ends in
- 14:17Revelation 22 and it's one author in one combined message.
- 14:23So we teach pastors to think biblically about areas of life where they've been taught
- 14:28not to think at all, much less to think biblically.
- 14:32And we open up with a question we ask pastors what area of your life or what part of your
- 14:36life is Jesus, not the Lord over?
- 14:40And we tell them make that list.
- 14:42And whatever that list is, those are the only subjects that you aren't allowed to speak
- 14:46about in church, but we know that Jesus isn't just the Lord of Sunday morning.
- 14:51We know he's supposed to be the Lord of all, though everything we do, as Paul said, we
- 14:56should do to glorify God.
- 14:58Don't the how we handle money should be different than how a lost person handles money.
- 15:04How are homes looking function?
- 15:06Our relationships that we have with our spouses, how we raise our children, our business ethics
- 15:14as business owners, our integrity and honesty as employees, everything we do should be done
- 15:22to the glory of God.
- 15:24So that's what we introduce pastors to thinking about.
- 15:28It's very simple.
- 15:29Again, we ask that question, what areas of life is Jesus, not Lord over?
- 15:33Because the only things you can't talk about in church immediately, they understand,
- 15:37they get it, they recognize that we've been doped.
- 15:40And then at that point, we begin to pour into them what does the Bible actually have to
- 15:45say about the role of self-government when you compare it to self-government and church
- 15:53government and family government.
- 15:55So we teach them what the civil governing authority is supposed to do, and more importantly,
- 16:00the civil governing authority is not supposed to do.
- 16:03Then we teach them to start thinking biblically in the area of economics.
- 16:06Quite frankly, one of the great sins of our generation is leaving bestitude, our children,
- 16:14our grandchildren and our great grandchildren.
- 16:16You know, the idea of having $34 trillion of debt, of spending someone else's money and
- 16:22just handing it, putting it this burden on her kids, is as ungodly as anything that we're
- 16:28doing, but you don't hear pastors talk about it because they've been taught not to talk
- 16:33about it.
- 16:34So we free these pastors up to recognize that we're not supposed to make church members,
- 16:40we're not supposed to make converts, we're supposed to make disciples, we're supposed to
- 16:45make followers of Jesus.
- 16:47Well, where do we follow Jesus?
- 16:49Just all the way to church on Sunday morning?
- 16:51No, we should be following Jesus in everything that we do.
- 16:55So what does the Bible have to say?
- 16:57What is the Lord's commandments in us in raising our children and being a good husband
- 17:02or being a good wife or being an honest business person or how we handle money or the realm
- 17:08of civil government, all of this, the Bible deals with, but most pastors have been taught
- 17:12to either ignore it or read over it until they can get to John 3, 16.
- 17:17Well, John 3, 16 obviously is cornerstone without, without bending your knee and trusting
- 17:23Christ, you're never born again.
- 17:26Your new life doesn't begin, but that is just beginning.
- 17:30Once you're a follower of Christ, then it's important to follow Christ.
- 17:34Yes.
- 17:35So that's where the discipleship comes in and why our camps are so different than everything
- 17:39else and why there's own born.
- 17:40Yes.
- 17:41Impacted my life.
- 17:42I've told you my testimony before.
- 17:43Maybe I'll share a little bit.
- 17:44When we come back from our break, we're with Paul Blair, LibertyPasters.com will be
- 17:48right back on World View Matters.
- 17:51Today's show is brought to you by Harbinger's Daily, world news, biblically understood.
- 17:56Stay informed at harbingerstaley.com.
- 18:08Friends, if you're listening to the podcast via audio, please help us out by leaving a
- 18:12five star review.
- 18:13I guess that helps us rise in the show rankings and search engines or something like that.
- 18:18Also, we're looking for more sponsors.
- 18:19If you'd like to sponsor the show, we are open to having you come on board.
- 18:24So go to worldviewmatters.tv and send us an email.
- 18:28So Paul Blair, I went to a LibertyPasters conference.
- 18:31Actually two of them, one in Texas, one in Edmund, your hometown.
- 18:35I was just so impressed, so touched.
- 18:37But the first one I went to and I believe 2020, it really was a catalyst in my life.
- 18:45I was feeling kind of like a lone ranger where I was and I think I was in a
- 18:48associate pastor at a church at the time and just feeling like, man, where are the people
- 18:53that want to live out this faith and make a difference in our culture and touch on these
- 18:59controversial issues?
- 19:00And then I go there and man, I was filled up.
- 19:03And yeah, you're right.
- 19:04It's the fire hose.
- 19:05But I want to ask you one thing real quick.
- 19:07It's only $99 for a pastor to go for three days or four days at a very nice resort and
- 19:16get the meals all taken care of.
- 19:18Please tell us how that works because when you go to the website, there are some pastors
- 19:21that will look at it and not believe it.
- 19:24Well, you can find everything on our website, LibertyPasters.com, LibertyPasters.org.
- 19:28And of course, as you've said, our next one is going to be at, I guess, I see the St.
- 19:33Simmons or St. Simons, but at the Seapolms Resort there, we've been told it's beautiful.
- 19:39Of course, we've got affiliates that we work with in Georgia.
- 19:43And we literally are going to basically be renting out this entire resort.
- 19:46And it's for a number of reasons, you know, one reason it's for pastors to come and have
- 19:51a little second honeymoon, give them a few days of R and R with their wives.
- 19:58And we want them to develop relationships with other pastors in their state or community
- 20:04or strengthen those relationships.
- 20:06And just as you said, David, when you realize that you aren't the only one that's out there,
- 20:11it's quite encouraging when you find that there are hundreds of pastors in your own state,
- 20:16much less thousands across the country that recognize that something's wrong, that something
- 20:21needs to be addressed and fixed, well, it's quite encouraging.
- 20:24And then we pour in to them and teach them.
- 20:26But this is pot made possible by, for example, Patriot mobile is one of our mealtime sponsors.
- 20:33Charlie Kirk and turning point faith also works with us.
- 20:38We've got mychurchfinder.com, you want to find a church as a biblical world, you can go
- 20:44there.
- 20:45They all work in sponsor meals, but most importantly, you know, the best friends I've
- 20:49had in life, a guy by the name of Art Alley.
- 20:52I met Art about 15 plus years ago at an event in Texas when we became immediate friends,
- 20:59but Art's the founder and president of a mutual fund group called the Timothy Planner, the
- 21:04Timothy or Timothy Partners.
- 21:07And what they do is they allow Christians to invest in the market without investing in
- 21:13companies that are anti-Christian.
- 21:16You know, so you can invest, for example, like yourself, so service rather than using Verizon
- 21:22or AT&T, which promotes abortion and promotes the LGBT agenda, you can work with Patriot
- 21:28mobile and Glenn and all the great staff there.
- 21:31And you can have great service and be supporting a Christian company that advocates kingdom
- 21:37principles.
- 21:38So Art Alley and Timothy Planner are the reasons that you can enjoy basically a $1,500
- 21:43trip for $99, but in return, we ask you to give us 20 hours of your time and you've got
- 21:49evenings to yourself.
- 21:50You've got plenty of time to enjoy the facilities, but 20 hours of continuing education, and
- 21:57I promise you, David, as you know, we've not had anybody.
- 22:00I've not had one single person that came up after the fact and said, I wish I hadn't been
- 22:04here.
- 22:05It's amazing the testimonies that we've had.
- 22:09Let me share one of our pastors down in Nueces County, they're in Texas.
- 22:15They had a Soros appointed district attorney, and we had a group of pastors in Nueces County
- 22:21that started working together.
- 22:23Now, can you imagine a group of churches, even from different denominations that come
- 22:29together as part of the body of Christ, and they started actively engaging their community
- 22:35and working with one of our partners, CDF, or Citizens Defending Freedom, they wound
- 22:40up challenging this Soros back district attorney and having him resigned from office because
- 22:47of their effort.
- 22:48So that's a win for the good guys, but here's where it gets even better.
- 22:53It's not just about politics, it's about the glory of God in every facet of life.
- 22:57One of the lieutenants for one of the crime families down there, of course, these Mexican
- 23:04drug lords that are going back and forth across the border, got gloriously born again
- 23:08in the middle of all this.
- 23:11Next thing you know about half of his gang gets born again, and then some of the other
- 23:17member gangs and these drug cartels that six months ago were purely on the side of Soros
- 23:23and Satan, which by the way, I've never seen Soros and Satan in the same room at the same
- 23:28time.
- 23:29Maybe one in the same person, anyway, never mind, but see all these members of a drug cartel
- 23:36come face to face with Jesus and accept Christ as their savior, that is a permanent change.
- 23:42And it's just that kind of thing that we're looking for with Liberty Pastors.
- 23:48Obviously politics is downstream of culture, so we want to we want to affect the whole
- 23:53culture.
- 23:54We're seeing people save.
- 23:55And then what comes out of that is biblical thinking in every area of life, which results
- 24:02in the blessings of Liberty that we have enjoyed here in our country.
- 24:06Yes.
- 24:07Amen.
- 24:08You are trying to get pastors to go back and help their congregations influence culture
- 24:12rather than what we've seen in the past decades, the culture influencing the church.
- 24:17Paula, I just want to mention some of the people that are speaking there.
- 24:20This next one, we've got Dr. Rick Scarborough, which I've talked to Alex Newman, one of our
- 24:25colleagues here at Freedom Project, a Dr. Lee Merritt, Dan Fisher, Brigitte Gabriel,
- 24:31Matt Stavre, Stefan Brodon, Dran Reese.
- 24:33She was just on with us a month ago.
- 24:35Rick Green, Dr. Cal Bisoner, my goodness, you've got some heavy hitters.
- 24:40And so pastors are really going to be equipped even more than they've ever been.
- 24:46But I want to go through just a couple more points because in what I pulled off your
- 24:49website because we only have a few minutes left, I love this number five, truth and liberty
- 24:54must be more important to you, pastor, than comfort and approval.
- 25:00That's huge.
- 25:01Let's just end with that one because a lot of pastors, we'd love to have the approval
- 25:06of everybody.
- 25:07If you're living for Christ, it's not going to happen.
- 25:09And if you're preaching the whole council, go ahead, Paul.
- 25:13Understand what we're facing now is not new.
- 25:16You go back and look at Jeremiah.
- 25:18And their Jeremiah was called to a very miserable ministry and he was standing up trying
- 25:22to point his people to the truth and point his people back to God.
- 25:27Well, in the same room and generally outnumbered you had, of course, the Bible just calls them
- 25:31false prophets.
- 25:33But you know, what were you think these guys were wearing signs that said, I'm a false
- 25:36prophet.
- 25:37Don't listen to me.
- 25:38They're out here trying to persuade the king and persuade the people to follow the
- 25:43path of evil.
- 25:44And they claim to be speaking for God.
- 25:47And then there's Jeremiah, who's actually speaking for God.
- 25:51Well, you know, Jeremiah wasn't applauded.
- 25:53He wasn't given a key to the city.
- 25:55Right.
- 25:56Frankly, they wanted to kill him.
- 25:57They wanted to imprison him.
- 25:58They hated him.
- 25:59But we've got to recognize that when we stand up for Jesus, it's going to be very rare
- 26:04that we're going to be standing with the majority.
- 26:06But Jesus said that.
- 26:07You know, there's a narrow road that leads to eternal life in a broad road that leads
- 26:11to destruction.
- 26:12But we've got to recognize that our calling is by Jesus and it's for Jesus.
- 26:17Yes.
- 26:18And if you think you're going to win man of the year by serving the Lord in ministry,
- 26:21well, you better recognize it and ain't going to happen.
- 26:25But one of these days our goal is to hear a well done, my good and faithful servant.
- 26:30So we as pastors got to recognize that we're accountable to the Lord only.
- 26:34We play an audience of one and that's Jesus.
- 26:38Carson Wentz has a foundation called audience of one, by the way, A01.
- 26:42We got to let go of the cruise ship mentality and our comfort.
- 26:46And we got to get on the battleship.
- 26:48We need brothers and arms.
- 26:50And Paul, I know you're kindred spirit, brother.
- 26:52That's why I love talking with you.
- 26:54If you're an Edmund Oklahoma area, check out Fairview Baptist Church and we encourage
- 26:58you to get this website to your pastor, LibertyPasters.com.
- 27:03Paul Lord ruling sooner will be talking and God bless you in the next event.
- 27:07Amen, David.
- 27:08God bless you.
- 27:09Thank you.
- 27:10All right.
- 27:11Great to see you.
- 27:12All right, friends.
- 27:13Thanks so much again for your support of the podcast and for sharing.
- 27:15God bless you.
- 27:16And as always, keep speaking the truth about things that matter.
