- 0:08Speaker 1: Advice sugar.
- 0:14Speaker 2: Hell lo Lower Lowerllo, Welcome to the nord ve Nic Show.
- 0:17Speaker 2: I'm your host of Shooter, and it is Wednesday, which
- 0:20Speaker 2: means our dear friend Donnie Meecham is joining us. Hey, Donnie,
- 0:24Speaker 2: are you there?
- 0:24Speaker 3: Loi Low It is Wednesday, and so and so and
- 0:27Speaker 3: so Wednesday, Wednesday, Wednesday.
- 0:30Speaker 2: We had a really heavy show yesterday. It was all
- 0:33Speaker 2: Rob Ryer. Who's our lead story today? And then we're
- 0:35Speaker 2: going to move on to some other celebrity news too.
- 0:38Speaker 2: But this story, Donnie, just awful. Let's get to the news.
- 0:42Speaker 2: What time is it, my friends? It is tea time. Okay,
- 0:47Speaker 2: big story. At the top of the show, Rob Reiner
- 0:51Speaker 2: and his wife brutally murdered. It looks like it was
- 0:54Speaker 2: their son Nick that did this. All indications are pointing
- 0:57Speaker 2: to him, although we should be careful here. Anybody is
- 1:00Speaker 2: guilty until they've had a trial, so we're going to
- 1:02Speaker 2: try and keep an open mind. However, I'm told that
- 1:06Speaker 2: just two weeks ago the family had a meeting about
- 1:08Speaker 2: what to do with Nick. It was not a secret
- 1:11Speaker 2: in Hollywood that Nick was a troubled individual. In fact,
- 1:13Speaker 2: at the Conan O'Brien party the day before they were murdered.
- 1:17Speaker 2: I know somebody at that party, and when Rob and
- 1:20Speaker 2: his beautiful wife Michelle turned up with Nick, people rolled
- 1:23Speaker 2: their eyes. He's thirty two years old. It's not like
- 1:25Speaker 2: bringing your ten year old son to the party. He's
- 1:28Speaker 2: thirty two. He got invited to events because of his
- 1:31Speaker 2: mom and dad. People in Hollywood knew he was difficult,
- 1:33Speaker 2: he could be a bit of a bully, he could
- 1:35Speaker 2: have a huge ego. However, they were kind to him
- 1:38Speaker 2: because of who his daddy is. Was It feels weird
- 1:42Speaker 2: to say it was, but I think that's probably the
- 1:44Speaker 2: past tense. Now is probably the right tense. It's complicated
- 1:47Speaker 2: because you hear these stories about him having a chip
- 1:50Speaker 2: on his shoulder, that he could never really be as
- 1:52Speaker 2: successful as his dad, as his grandpa. But then, on
- 1:55Speaker 2: the other hand, was he lived in a twenty five
- 1:57Speaker 2: million dollar house. His mom and dad paid his rent
- 2:00Speaker 2: for him constantly when he was at his own apartment.
- 2:03Speaker 2: They paid for him to go in and out of
- 2:04Speaker 2: rehabbit here like fifteen or sixteen times. He never really
- 2:08Speaker 2: had a job. His daddy wanted to be a screenwriter,
- 2:11Speaker 2: so his dad let him write a screenplay and it
- 2:14Speaker 2: wasn't really that great. If it'd been, if he hadn't
- 2:16Speaker 2: been his son, Rob Ryder, wouldn't have produced or directed
- 2:21Speaker 2: that that film. Let's be clear about that. And so
- 2:24Speaker 2: I think my feelings, which at first were really stunned,
- 2:26Speaker 2: and now I think I'm really angry. It feels really
- 2:30Speaker 2: really like a spoilt brat, like a spoil bra He
- 2:33Speaker 2: had everything to live forward. Now, obviously we're a compassionate show.
- 2:38Speaker 2: We're kind here. I got to be compassionate to drug addiction.
- 2:41Speaker 2: It's a disease, it really is. It's not a choice.
- 2:44Speaker 2: It is a disease. I believe that. So I'm trying
- 2:46Speaker 2: to be kind here, Donnie. But it's so complicated because
- 2:49Speaker 2: this kid had everything we did not, Donna, You and
- 2:52Speaker 2: me have had to rough it. We had tough childhoods.
- 2:55Speaker 2: He did not. From the day he was born, people
- 2:57Speaker 2: band dad, he was invited to the best part is
- 2:59Speaker 2: because of his mom and dad. He could call Stephen
- 3:01Speaker 2: Spielberg on the phone, because of who his dad was.
- 3:05Speaker 2: And to think that we've got to this end of
- 3:06Speaker 2: the story from where it started, with such hope, with
- 3:09Speaker 2: such privilege, with such money, it makes me sad, Donnie
- 3:14Speaker 2: it makes me sad. Also to makes me really really angry.
- 3:17Speaker 2: I met with Nick about five or six years ago.
- 3:19Speaker 2: I was in LA and he had a project that
- 3:21Speaker 2: he was working on and he wanted my advice, and
- 3:22Speaker 2: the project wasn't very good and he wasn't terribly talented.
- 3:25Speaker 2: We met at the coffee shop. And let's be honest,
- 3:27Speaker 2: I only met with him because his dad was who
- 3:29Speaker 2: he was. If it'd been anybody else, if somebody had
- 3:32Speaker 2: contacted me on social media and said I'm writing a screenplay,
- 3:36Speaker 2: rob would you like to meet with me, the chance
- 3:37Speaker 2: on me doing it is not good. And so the
- 3:40Speaker 2: only thing here that made him interest in the only
- 3:43Speaker 2: thing that made Nick interesting was the one thing he
- 3:46Speaker 2: was running away from, which was his legacy, his parents,
- 3:50Speaker 2: his family name complicated. Donnie was going to come out
- 3:53Speaker 2: about this story. But today I'm not so sad. Today
- 3:56Speaker 2: I'm angry. Where are you? I don't know.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Ardibly sad.
- 4:00Speaker 3: It's incredibly just and it sounds weird, but it's confusing.
- 4:05Speaker 3: It's what it is because and you know, also, I
- 4:07Speaker 3: think you did hit the nail on the head there too.
- 4:10Speaker 1: It's like we you have the addiction issue. It has
- 4:14Speaker 1: to be It's very tricky because it's not an excuse.
- 4:19Speaker 3: I know a lot of people who have you know,
- 4:22Speaker 3: are currently addicted and who have gone through addiction.
- 4:25Speaker 1: They didn't murder anybody.
- 4:27Speaker 3: And so I think that it sounds sometimes it's so
- 4:30Speaker 3: easy or flippant to use that as an excuse of
- 4:33Speaker 3: why he, you know, murdered his parents. But it's just
- 4:39Speaker 3: there's no telling what exactly was going on in that
- 4:42Speaker 3: man's head. But he's a thirty two year old man
- 4:46Speaker 3: living at his parents.
- 4:49Speaker 1: But there is a whole issue that you.
- 4:52Speaker 3: Have to look at of like just imagine your grandpa
- 4:55Speaker 3: created all in the family your dad made when Harry
- 5:00Speaker 3: met Sally, Like you know what I'm saying, like, these
- 5:03Speaker 3: are just these are not just you know, random you know,
- 5:08Speaker 3: oh look it's that guy who created that six show
- 5:11Speaker 3: on Netflix or whatever, and these are these are legacies
- 5:15Speaker 3: that he would never be able to live up to.
- 5:18Speaker 3: And so it's just there's a lot of pressure there
- 5:20Speaker 3: and that's probably what led to the addiction, which then
- 5:23Speaker 3: once addiction has a whold.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Of you, it has a hold of you.
- 5:27Speaker 3: And it's just sad because no one knows exactly what
- 5:31Speaker 3: went down that moment. But to not to get to
- 5:36Speaker 3: graphic here, but to slit someone's throat, which is allegedly
- 5:40Speaker 3: what happened. One is enough, but two people, but not
- 5:45Speaker 3: only just two people, your parents.
- 5:48Speaker 1: Is a different level.
- 5:50Speaker 2: Of hysteric brutality. It's brutality to shoot somebody's terror derbit,
- 5:56Speaker 2: but to use a knife, it's really personal. It's personal
- 5:59Speaker 2: to think they look and that look them in there,
- 6:03Speaker 2: and while you're murdering one, your mother is standing there
- 6:06Speaker 2: fighting or talking or saying it's put down the knife.
- 6:09Speaker 2: You can only imagine what's going on in that room.
- 6:11Speaker 2: Rob Ryino, he was in his seventeenth a little bit.
- 6:14Speaker 2: It was a big he's a big guy, a big,
- 6:16Speaker 2: burly guy, and he could have liked different and they
- 6:19Speaker 2: probably you would run away, but you're not going to
- 6:20Speaker 2: leave your part. You get down on your hands, on
- 6:23Speaker 2: your knees, and you hug the person that's had their frozen.
- 6:25Speaker 2: It's just the scene. And to think their daughter Romany
- 6:29Speaker 2: came in and saw this, Billy Crystal saw the bodies like,
- 6:33Speaker 2: it's just she's so so heart wrecking. You didn't kill her.
- 6:37Speaker 1: She's lucky, very lucky. They don't. It's just a tricky relationship.
- 6:41Speaker 2: What what does the family do now? Do they forgive him?
- 6:44Speaker 2: Like my sources told me that Robriner had a huge heart,
- 6:47Speaker 2: and I did a story yesterday that he would probably
- 6:50Speaker 2: want us to forgive his son if he was alive
- 6:52Speaker 2: today and we asked him, your son has done something terrible,
- 6:54Speaker 2: he would say, yes, he has. He's still my son.
- 6:57Speaker 2: I still love him. It is so complicated, is so rich.
- 7:00Speaker 2: It is so disturbing that this story is going to
- 7:03Speaker 2: go on for a really long time. The last time
- 7:04Speaker 2: there was a murder in Brentwood like this, it was O. J.
- 7:07Speaker 2: Simpson with a family member and like that Nicole Brown,
- 7:10Speaker 2: it was in Brentwood. It was shocking. It's gonna go on.
- 7:14Speaker 2: We're gonna be careful about how we cover it, though,
- 7:15Speaker 2: because I don't want this to turn into a true
- 7:17Speaker 2: crime podcast. We are a celebrity gossip show. I know
- 7:20Speaker 2: you come here for a giggle for twenty minutes, so
- 7:22Speaker 2: don't think we were not aware of that. I want
- 7:25Speaker 2: to cover the big news of the day. This is
- 7:26Speaker 2: the biggest story of the day. Once again, We're not
- 7:28Speaker 2: doing a poll on this. We never do polls when
- 7:30Speaker 2: something's this tragic and so we're going to move on
- 7:33Speaker 2: with the show. Hey, Donnie Love, let's change gears a
- 7:35Speaker 2: little bit. What are you working on?
- 7:37Speaker 3: Speaking of tricky relationships, but I actually I saw the
- 7:43Speaker 3: photo of Madonna and Guy Ritchie awkward. Well, you know
- 7:48Speaker 3: what's so awkward about it was a little bit we'll
- 7:49Speaker 3: get in to the and the no, we'll talk about awkward.
- 7:51Speaker 3: So Madonna and Guy Richie, which you know, we're married
- 7:54Speaker 3: for years and they did that interesting Movievina, and you.
- 7:59Speaker 1: Know, tricky relationship there.
- 8:01Speaker 3: But they have kids together, and one of those kids
- 8:04Speaker 3: is Rocco, and I will applaud them for both showing
- 8:10Speaker 3: up at his art exhibit to support their son.
- 8:13Speaker 1: That is amazing. But it was the first time they've
- 8:15Speaker 1: been together nearly twenty years, which.
- 8:18Speaker 3: Twenty to me is so bizarre as well because Rocco's
- 8:25Speaker 3: what twenty five? I think, I want to say, rocos
- 8:27Speaker 3: twenty five? Has the kids not seen him? That part
- 8:31Speaker 3: is so strange.
- 8:32Speaker 1: Because how have they not been in the same room.
- 8:34Speaker 2: They were done on Garridgie, Well they had they had
- 8:37Speaker 2: a really ugly custody battle over Rocco, like and they
- 8:40Speaker 2: and he moved to London. So after they got divorced.
- 8:42Speaker 2: She was she was never around, so they only ever
- 8:44Speaker 2: saw each other through They never saw each other. The
- 8:46Speaker 2: kids only saw their parents, so they were shuttled around
- 8:48Speaker 2: by assistants or managers or eight like. They didn't they
- 8:51Speaker 2: McDonald didn't drop off the kids and say, oh, you're
- 8:53Speaker 2: looking after them. A nanny wood or a security guard would.
- 8:56Speaker 2: But to be in the same room, I think you're
- 8:58Speaker 2: right here. It's nice to see them together, but they
- 9:00Speaker 2: clearly don't want to be together. And there's no rule
- 9:02Speaker 2: that you have to be. If you really don't like
- 9:04Speaker 2: me and you don't want to be in the same
- 9:06Speaker 2: room with me, don't come. Just don't come. We can
- 9:08Speaker 2: come on different different nights. And if I really want
- 9:11Speaker 2: my mom and dad's star power to sell my art,
- 9:13Speaker 2: then you have to suck it up, like you know.
- 9:15Speaker 2: It's that thing about having famous parents here, that's the
- 9:18Speaker 2: topic of the day. It seems there's a lot of
- 9:21Speaker 2: perks that come from famous parents. My dad worked two
- 9:24Speaker 2: jobs that allowed me and Christine to have a lovely life,
- 9:27Speaker 2: to do stuff that he could pay for. But the
- 9:29Speaker 2: downside was we never really got to see my dad.
- 9:31Speaker 2: He was always working, so there's always costs and benefits
- 9:34Speaker 2: to all these situations. To be born as a child
- 9:38Speaker 2: of Madonna. If you were Madonna's son, it would be
- 9:40Speaker 2: an extraordinary thing. The life you live already, it's unfair.
- 9:44Speaker 2: We'll never get to live that life, Donna, you and I. However,
- 9:47Speaker 2: the tricky part is Madonna's your mom. That's tricky, tricky too.
- 9:50Speaker 2: I hope she's a good mom. She's a very difficult individual.
- 9:54Speaker 2: Whatever I've interviewed her or been around her, it ain't easy,
- 9:57Speaker 2: and so I hope she's not like that as a mom.
- 9:59Speaker 2: I don't think people change. I would imagine this is
- 10:01Speaker 2: so difficult. Rocco left, he went to London. He wanted
- 10:04Speaker 2: no part of her. They didn't speak for a really,
- 10:06Speaker 2: really long time. It's nice to see them friends again.
- 10:09Speaker 2: I do wish, though, that Eddie's art opening, she didn't
- 10:13Speaker 2: need to quite look so Madonna rish that's what.
- 10:17Speaker 1: She looked, and hat she looks ridiculous. She looked ridiculous.
- 10:22Speaker 2: She looked. I love you, I've always loved you, but
- 10:26Speaker 2: you didn't like couldn't you have put on a beautiful
- 10:29Speaker 2: Chanel pants suit? It's an art? She went fishes what
- 10:34Speaker 2: we're wearing now, Donnie to do the podcast is more
- 10:37Speaker 2: regular than what she turned up in a costume with
- 10:39Speaker 2: the sunglasses and the legs and the stockings. And I
- 10:43Speaker 2: just guy Richie. Honestly, I look at him. What did
- 10:47Speaker 2: he don't get I don't get it. I don't And
- 10:52Speaker 2: there was a lot of fury Madonna's fan base when
- 10:54Speaker 2: she married him because he was potentially homophobic. He had
- 10:56Speaker 2: sent some really ugly things about gay people. When you
- 10:59Speaker 2: look at his movies, they're pretty misogynistic. And so Madonna,
- 11:02Speaker 2: with all her gay followings, to marry a man that
- 11:05Speaker 2: potentially could be home of her it's messy. But they
- 11:08Speaker 2: did get together for Rockers art exhibit. He's a lucky guy.
- 11:12Speaker 2: I looked at the art. I'm not an artist, I'm
- 11:14Speaker 2: not an art critic. It looks okay, but I think
- 11:16Speaker 2: if it wasn't we couldn't afford it. On her son,
- 11:19Speaker 2: we couldn't afford it. And if I could afford it,
- 11:21Speaker 2: I don't know. It feels like these Neppo babies are everywhere, everywhere, everywhere, everywhere. Okay,
- 11:26Speaker 2: maybe along Megan Mockl, who's not a Nepper baby. We
- 11:29Speaker 2: have to be clear here. It's easy to hate on Meghan,
- 11:31Speaker 2: but she made her own money. She made about five
- 11:32Speaker 2: million dollars on suits, when back when she married Harry
- 11:36Speaker 2: she had more money cash than he did. He had
- 11:37Speaker 2: a lot of houses and Crown jewels and a lot
- 11:40Speaker 2: of paintings and picassos and family family heirloos. But she
- 11:44Speaker 2: actually had cash in the bank. She'd save to put money. Well,
- 11:47Speaker 2: now she's dragging Netflix oh into her drama with her dad.
- 11:51Speaker 2: So so Uss tell me. When her dad checked into hospital
- 11:54Speaker 2: and she did not know what to do, she had
- 11:56Speaker 2: her own PR people involved, but she called the Netflix
- 12:00Speaker 2: publicist and it was the Netflix team that reached out
- 12:03Speaker 2: to the dat they don't like this. Meghan's show is
- 12:07Speaker 2: not doing very well on Netflix. It's not being renewed.
- 12:10Speaker 2: It's over The PR department of a massive company like
- 12:15Speaker 2: Netflix are there to look after the executives and to
- 12:19Speaker 2: make us watch the shows. They're not your friends, Meghan,
- 12:22Speaker 2: they're not your employees, they're not your assistants. It's really
- 12:25Speaker 2: overstepping a line here. I was shocked when I found
- 12:28Speaker 2: out that the people calling were not Meghan's personal PR,
- 12:33Speaker 2: it was Netflix. They don't want to do this. Netflix
- 12:36Speaker 2: team around Meghan is to get us to watch a
- 12:39Speaker 2: cooking show. They're not prices publicists. They're not anger management publicists.
- 12:43Speaker 2: They're not involved in divorces and problems within families. And
- 12:47Speaker 2: so Meghan hit the phones and called these pr people,
- 12:49Speaker 2: and now the Netflix team are just like It just
- 12:51Speaker 2: reminds them why they don't want to be in business
- 12:54Speaker 2: with Meghan and Harry. It's messy. It's just so messy.
- 12:57Speaker 2: Nobody likes a mess. If you've got a problem of
- 12:59Speaker 2: personal prom don't tell your employees, Donnie, If you have
- 13:03Speaker 2: a personal problem, don't you be calling iHeart here to
- 13:06Speaker 2: get it, get it fixed. It's amazing. I see people
- 13:08Speaker 2: make the same mistake all the time. They think that
- 13:11Speaker 2: boss is the people we work with are like a family.
- 13:13Speaker 2: They're not. It's a job, keep it, keep it on
- 13:16Speaker 2: the download, deal with it without involving them. I think
- 13:19Speaker 2: this is a really dumb move.
- 13:20Speaker 1: What do you think, don It's not it's smart at all.
- 13:23Speaker 3: And it just all that does is if Megan was
- 13:26Speaker 3: hoping to, you know, rekindle any type of relationship with Netflix,
- 13:30Speaker 3: it's this doesn't help this, This does any thing. It
- 13:34Speaker 3: just burned the bridge for good. Because but the problem
- 13:38Speaker 3: is is that I'm sure they must be under some
- 13:40Speaker 3: sort of contract, and who knows where the contract ends.
- 13:43Speaker 1: It might end at the end of the year. So
- 13:44Speaker 1: I'm sort of the PR team's like, gosh, darn it,
- 13:46Speaker 1: like we have to do this, Like this is right.
- 13:49Speaker 1: We're in a contract.
- 13:50Speaker 2: We have to we have to do. Never a good
- 13:53Speaker 2: reason to never a good luck. Yeah, it just reminds
- 13:56Speaker 2: them why, why, why they're gonna end their relationship. Okay,
- 13:58Speaker 2: quickly before we get a break, Patrick's oh my goodness,
- 14:01Speaker 2: it's the Nipper Baby show, isn't it. Patrick is struggling
- 14:03Speaker 2: to land a big role after White Lotus. What is
- 14:06Speaker 2: going on with Patrick?
- 14:07Speaker 1: Well? Patrick, you know he was on The White Lotus
- 14:09Speaker 1: and The White Little Was is a huge show. You
- 14:13Speaker 1: it's mostly known for Jennifer College, but it's a huge.
- 14:17Speaker 3: And he was hoping, Oh, I'm on this huge show
- 14:20Speaker 3: that's on HBO, and you know what's going to happen
- 14:24Speaker 3: when I'm done with it is everybody's gonna call, everybody's
- 14:28Speaker 3: gonna car and I'm gonna have all these.
- 14:31Speaker 1: Yeah, just is not happening. And sources are you know,
- 14:35Speaker 1: tehoo scoop there. He's he doesn't understand why he's a
- 14:39Speaker 1: little shocked.
- 14:39Speaker 2: It doesn't. He is shocked. It is entitled. Is entitled? Yeah,
- 14:44Speaker 2: is entitled. I thought after I had my morning show
- 14:46Speaker 2: on VH one that I would be on the view.
- 14:48Speaker 2: I just assumed that I would be hosting the nightly news.
- 14:50Speaker 2: I thought agents and managers and other TV people would
- 14:54Speaker 2: It didn't happen. It doesn't happen. You've got to make
- 14:56Speaker 2: it yourself. Patrick, if you're listening a love a lower lobe,
- 14:58Speaker 2: even somebody with your last name, your looks the white
- 15:01Speaker 2: lotus on the resume. You got to hustle. You got
- 15:03Speaker 2: to hustle. He's trying. He's trying. He'll break through if
- 15:07Speaker 2: he keeps in it. The question is really keeping it
- 15:09Speaker 2: because he doesn't need the money, he doesn't really need
- 15:11Speaker 2: the fame. He will wisby Patrick, And so we'll wait
- 15:14Speaker 2: and see. Okay, we're going to take a quick Greg
- 15:16Speaker 2: and we will be right back. Welcome back to the
- 15:20Speaker 2: Naughty but Nice have your host, Rob shoots with our
- 15:22Speaker 2: dear friend Donnie. Meet him. Hey, Donnie. We normally go
- 15:24Speaker 2: to the pole, now do dudd, But we don't do
- 15:26Speaker 2: poles when we have a tragic story at the top.
- 15:29Speaker 2: Of the show. Obviously, yesterday we were talking about Rob
- 15:31Speaker 2: Ryaner so no pole and no poll today either, So
- 15:35Speaker 2: let's go straight to my favorite part of the show.
- 15:37Speaker 2: Oh and a personal connection here, Donna, you used to
- 15:40Speaker 2: work for this company and nicest of the day.
- 15:46Speaker 3: Nice to today is Howard Stern and he is shut
- 15:50Speaker 3: down those retirement rumors with a new serious x mdal.
- 15:57Speaker 1: So he you know we're only he.
- 15:59Speaker 3: Goes, look, I've signed a three year contract, a new
- 16:02Speaker 3: three year Now this one might actually be the one
- 16:05Speaker 3: the end because it's interesting in the last two or
- 16:08Speaker 3: five years.
- 16:09Speaker 1: This one is a three years. But it's Howard's turn,
- 16:12Speaker 1: and he's smart, and he goes, I figured out a way.
- 16:14Speaker 3: To have it all, which not going to make his
- 16:19Speaker 3: fans love him even more because right now he takes
- 16:22Speaker 3: a lot of time off, and he said, now I
- 16:24Speaker 3: get even more time off.
- 16:26Speaker 4: So he But here's the thing, everybody was this whole
- 16:30Speaker 4: big retirement Howard's going to no Like Serious XM would
- 16:35Speaker 4: not exist right now.
- 16:37Speaker 3: We wouldn't be talking about serious XM if it wasn't
- 16:39Speaker 3: for Howard.
- 16:40Speaker 1: And here's the thing, Yes, Howard might not be the
- 16:42Speaker 1: big draw that he used to be. But serious xm
- 16:47Speaker 1: owes him everything.
- 16:49Speaker 3: And not only do they own everything, they know that,
- 16:52Speaker 3: they respect that and they're loyal to that.
- 16:55Speaker 2: Yeah, they've built they've built a house on Howard. They've
- 16:57Speaker 2: built the subscriptions on Howard. And he might not be
- 17:00Speaker 2: the star he was when he when he signed up
- 17:02Speaker 2: twenty thirty years ago. That we've worked there, Donnie, it's
- 17:05Speaker 2: the house of Howard. He has a separate, separate studio.
- 17:08Speaker 2: Everybody in Andy Cohen is a separate wing. You have
- 17:11Speaker 2: to have a separate ID passed security paths to get
- 17:14Speaker 2: into his section of the building. Andy Cohen is sitting
- 17:16Speaker 2: next to everybody else like we're all wedged in together.
- 17:19Speaker 2: That that that place is the house of Howard. Congratulations,
- 17:23Speaker 2: you know, nice work if you can get it. And
- 17:24Speaker 2: his super talenting really is. So it's a nice guy.
- 17:28Speaker 2: Good for you, Good for you. Okay, she's the naughty,
- 17:31Speaker 2: naughty Gail King's leaf lips might have cast their job.
- 17:34Speaker 2: So Gail King, for no reason whatsoever, sat down with
- 17:37Speaker 2: Sherry Shepherd. It was a great interview, but she had
- 17:39Speaker 2: to ask about CBS. Sherry is great and Gail was like,
- 17:43Speaker 2: there might be some changes and there's some drama going on.
- 17:45Speaker 2: CBS doesn't like this. Gail, shut up? Why are you
- 17:48Speaker 2: doing this. You're in the middle of a really difficult position.
- 17:52Speaker 2: Your contract expires soon, probably not going to be renewed.
- 17:55Speaker 2: If it was going to be renewed. Now you've given
- 17:57Speaker 2: yourself a real problem because they don't like leaks. They
- 18:00Speaker 2: don't you know it's interesting if you don't have to
- 18:02Speaker 2: talk about it, don't You don't need to do this.
- 18:05Speaker 2: Like when I get asked if I want to do
- 18:07Speaker 2: this interview or that interview, I say no because I
- 18:09Speaker 2: just know it's not going to turn out well. If ever,
- 18:11Speaker 2: I was asked to do What's what Happens Live, I
- 18:13Speaker 2: would pass because Andy will come at me for all
- 18:15Speaker 2: the stuff I talk about his housewives. So I don't
- 18:18Speaker 2: know why Dale did this interview as a self inflicted wound,
- 18:20Speaker 2: and I would have thought she knew better and naughtiest
- 18:23Speaker 2: of the day. Let's end with a moment of rob
- 18:26Speaker 2: Happiness isn't something you find. It's something that you decide.
- 18:30Speaker 2: It's the moment you stop waiting for life to feel
- 18:33Speaker 2: perfect and you start showing up anyway. You don't need
- 18:35Speaker 2: a new job or a new relationship or even a
- 18:37Speaker 2: new version of yourself. You don't need to lose five pounds.
- 18:40Speaker 2: What you do need is to make a choice. You
- 18:43Speaker 2: need to choose. You need to choose to notice what's
- 18:46Speaker 2: not working. You need to choose to take the next step.
- 18:49Speaker 2: And it takes a lot. It's not easy. It's not
- 18:52Speaker 2: an easy choice, but it's an essential one because happiness
- 18:55Speaker 2: grows when you keep the promises to yourself, You speak honestly,
- 18:59Speaker 2: and you act before all your dad talks you out
- 19:02Speaker 2: of it. So start showing up today. Start now, not
- 19:05Speaker 2: tomorrow's start now, and remember, happiness is not something you're
- 19:08Speaker 2: just gonna find. You're not gonna stumble upon it. It's
- 19:11Speaker 2: not luck. It's something you decide every single morning. Donnie,
- 19:15Speaker 2: I tell myself today, Rob, you are gonna be happy.
- 19:18Speaker 2: It's a choice and gotta say mostly works. Hey, that
- 19:23Speaker 2: is it for today. Thank you so much for listening

- 19:41Speaker 2: really do help. And thank you everybody who's following me
- 19:43Speaker 2: along on substack. I think we have two three thousand followers. Now.
- 19:47Speaker 2: My goal was to get one thousand followers a year,
- 19:49Speaker 2: so we're almost three times my goal in one year
- 19:52Speaker 2: to get three thousand, it's terrific. By the end of
- 19:55Speaker 2: next year we'll have six thousands. Once you get about
- 19:57Speaker 2: ten thousand followers, it's substantial. So thank you, thank you,
