- 0:12So over several years now I have been speaking about leadership
- 0:17and particularly the failure of leadership within this country
- 0:23and probably a bit more focused on leadership within the police
- 0:27because because they come from AI, have a policing background.
- 0:32To me it seemed very evident that here in Queensland we
- 0:38lacked the leadership that we needed.
- 0:41We still lack leadership within the Queensland Police Service
- 0:45and within government. However, it's it so you can see
- 0:52that there's people that come along and they might want to
- 0:55change things, they might want to push things along and people,
- 0:58people can identify that we need to change direction, that we've
- 1:02gone down that path. Obviously we've let here in
- 1:06Australia, we've let DEI affect us in.
- 1:11It's been the most, it had the most detrimental effect upon our
- 1:15nation and upon different government agencies across the
- 1:20nation. Yet we've still been unable to
- 1:25enact any change, to implement any change for the better, even
- 1:29though we can see, we can see that these things need to
- 1:32change. As I've said before, if nothing
- 1:36changes, then nothing changes. It's not good enough just to see
- 1:40that we need to change in these areas.
- 1:43If something's wrong, identify that there's something's wrong
- 1:45and identify the need for change.
- 1:48You then need to go on and actually implement, implement
- 1:51changes. Otherwise, we're not going to go
- 1:56anywhere. So I'm saying all this because
- 1:59we still have a major problem with leadership here in
- 2:02Australia. Obviously we've got the federal
- 2:05election coming up this weekend. I'm recording this.
- 2:08This is on the 29th of April, this is Tuesday, the 29th of
- 2:12April here within Australia. So this coming Saturday is going
- 2:20to be our federal election. The polls are open at the
- 2:23moment. You know the booths, the, the
- 2:26polling booths are open at the moment.
- 2:28You can go in and put in your early vote.
- 2:32So can I say this, this episode is not going to be in favour, in
- 2:37favour of their current Prime Minister, the head of the Labour
- 2:41Party, Anthony Albanese. He is the epitome of what is
- 2:49wrong within the leadership in Australia at the moment.
- 2:53So I'm going to show you a couple of things.
- 2:56A couple of things. One, the first one, now I don't,
- 3:00I don't keep up with in general with Muslim, Muslim faith, the
- 3:06Muslim faith and all that, traditions, whatever, whatever
- 3:08you want to call it. However, I did know, I did hear
- 3:11that. I think it's last month,
- 3:14something like that. It might even still be
- 3:16happening. I don't know.
- 3:16But you've got Ramadan. So I'm going to bring up the
- 3:22lovely message from the Prime Minister that he sent Muslim
- 3:29people, people who practice the faith of Islam, follow Islam in
- 3:33Australia. OK, so here we have it, Anthony
- 3:37Albanese MP, Prime Minister of Australia.
- 3:39Message from the Prime Minister, Ramadan.
- 3:43See, you have the coat of arms up here.
- 3:45It's official letter Ramadan Mubarak to all Australians of is
- 3:52of Muslim faith. I've got no idea what Mubarak
- 3:55means and they know what Ramadan means.
- 3:58All I know is it's a some kind of tradition where they they
- 4:01fast during the day I think and eat at night.
- 4:04So here in Australia, when Muslim people across the country
- 4:07gather for Ramadan, the prayers and feasts follow many different
- 4:12customs and traditions, yet at their heart is the same purpose,
- 4:19strength and discipline. Compassion in abstinence.
- 4:23Renewal and renewal in returning to the essentials of your faith.
- 4:28All this reflected in acts of self restraints and charity.
- 4:34Acts of self restraint. That's interesting phrase.
- 4:41All this reflected in acts of self restraint and charity.
- 4:44Worship and reflection and the nightly breaking of the day long
- 4:49fast. This is what binds Muslims
- 4:52together at Ramadan, when the restraint of fasting gives way
- 4:57to the joy of the Iftamil. I think that's how I hope that's
- 5:02how you pronounce it, Iftamil. We are reminded of the essential
- 5:06power of this sacred month, as well as the enduring and
- 5:10uplifting value of gathering together in community and shared
- 5:15faith. Australia's Muslim community
- 5:19enriches our society and our country in countless ways.
- 5:25I thank you for your generosity and care, for your hard work and
- 5:32aspiration, and for your willingness to give back to the
- 5:38community. May you have a blessed, blessed
- 5:45Ramadan that was dated February 2025.
- 5:54OK, from the Prime Minister's Office now here is the message
- 5:59that the Prime Minister, same man, Anthony Albanese, elbow,
- 6:04elbow MP. Just want to go back here.
- 6:08This is the official the official letter, the official
- 6:15letter that Anthony Anthony Albanese MP, Prime Minister of
- 6:19Australia coat of arms here in the top left corner sent to the
- 6:23Muslim community. And where's the official letter
- 6:27that Anthony Albanese MP Prime Minister of Australia said to
- 6:31sent to the Christian community because well, the last time I
- 6:36checked, Australia's supposed to be still supposed to be a
- 6:40Christian nation based formed on Christian on biblical
- 6:46judeo-christian foundations principles.
- 6:51Here's the message that Anthony Albanese, the man who still
- 6:55hopes to become to be the Prime Minister, remain the Prime
- 6:58Minister of Australia after this weekend.
- 7:04There you go, It was a tweet. Anthony Albanese at Elbow MP.
- 7:08Happy Easter weekend from Toto and Toby.
- 7:13So Toto and Toby, I assume, are the dogs in the picture.
- 7:17You've got Anthony Albanese. Remember, the lads not married.
- 7:24I think this is his partner. This lady here.
- 7:28I've got no idea who these people are.
- 7:31The younger woman and a younger guy who knows who they are.
- 7:36I've got no idea. Don't care to be quite frank.
- 7:39So, yeah, happy Easter weekend from Toto and Toby.
- 7:45Don't don't forget in March he was leading the Mardi Gras
- 7:51parade, Mardi Gras, Mardi Gras parade.
- 7:55However, what, what most concerns me is I think Australia
- 8:00is going to end up instead of having a change, we're just
- 8:05going to end up not with the leadership that we that we need.
- 8:14We're going to end up with the leadership after this coming
- 8:16weekend. We're going to end up with the
- 8:18leadership that we deserve. Happy Easter from my two dogs.
- 8:23This is all my opinion. I'm Jay Fallon.
- 8:27Let me know what you think. Thank you for listening to the
- 8:29Slippery Slippery Slope.
