Hundreds of volunteers transformed six Milwaukee Public Schools ahead of the new school year, painting classrooms, revamping playgrounds, and planting gardens—all part of a 30-year tradition led by GE HealthCare. At Academia de Lenguaje y Bellas Artes, volunteers teamed up with local artist Reynaldo Hernandez, who once attended the school in the 60s and now created a stunning mural celebrating Hispanic and Latino culture—complete with the school’s still-used logo.
