- 0:00Welcome back to Pamoja Ministry. Today, we have
- 0:05reached the final conversation of refined for
- 0:08a purpose and before we go anywhere. I want you
- 0:12to remember where we have been. We have talked
- 0:15about the fire. We have talked about character,
- 0:19integrity, compromise, the crack before the collapse,
- 0:24correction, failure, mercy, preparation. the
- 0:28weight of what we prayed for. And in our last
- 0:32conversation, don't waste the fire, we ask one
- 0:35final question before moving forward. What must
- 0:39not follow me into the next season? We said,
- 0:42take the lesson, leave the bitterness, take the
- 0:46wisdom, leave the shame, take the discernment,
- 0:50leave the paranoia, take the humility, leave
- 0:54the humiliation, take the correction. Leave the
- 0:58condemnation take the testimony and leave behind
- 1:02what the fire was meant to remove but now We
- 1:06have reached the other side of that question
- 1:09Because after asking what the fire was meant
- 1:12to remove Perhaps we should ask what was the
- 1:16fire producing? What if the season you thought
- 1:19was only breaking you was also building something?
- 1:23What if the season you thought was only delaying
- 1:27you was developing you? What if the season you
- 1:31thought was only exposing your weakness was teaching
- 1:35you where your strength actually comes from?
- 1:39What if God was doing something in you while
- 1:42you were asking him to do something around you?
- 1:45Maybe now we are ready to understand the name
- 1:49of this entire journey You are not simply going
- 1:52through the fire. You are being refined for a
- 1:57purpose. Maybe you couldn't see it while you
- 2:01were in it. There is something about difficult
- 2:05seasons. When you are inside them, your vision
- 2:08becomes limited. You see today's pain, today's
- 2:12pressure, today's unanswered question, today's
- 2:16disappointment, today's battle. You pray, God,
- 2:20get me out. God, change this. God, open the door.
- 2:24God, remove this pressure. God, defend me. God,
- 2:30restore me. And those prayers are understandable.
- 2:34But sometimes, providence becomes clearer, looking
- 2:38backward than living forward. Joseph could not
- 2:41see Egypt from the pit. David could not see the
- 2:44throne from the cave. Moses could not see the
- 2:48Red Sea opening while tending sheep in Midian.
- 2:52Peter could not see Pentecost while crying after
- 2:55denying Jesus. Paul could not see his future
- 2:58ministry while blinded on the road to Damascus.
- 3:02Sometimes you understand what God was producing.
- 3:06Later, James says, consider it pure joy, my brothers
- 3:11and sisters, whenever you face trials of many
- 3:14kinds. Why? Not because pain is enjoyable. Not
- 3:18because injustice is good. Not because betrayal
- 3:22is good. Not because loss is good. James continues,
- 3:27because you know that the testing of your faith
- 3:30produces perseverance. There is the word produces.
- 3:35The trial is doing something. The testing is
- 3:39producing something. The pressure is revealing
- 3:41something. The process is developing something.
- 3:45and sometimes you cannot see what is being produced
- 3:49until later. The fire was not the purpose. This
- 3:54distinction matters. We should never become so
- 3:58fascinated with suffering that we begin treating
- 4:01pain itself as holy. Pain is not automatically
- 4:05purpose. Suffering is not automatically spiritual
- 4:09maturity. Some suffering comes from living in
- 4:12a broken world. Some comes from other people's
- 4:16decisions. Some comes from our own decisions.
- 4:19Some comes through persecution. Some circumstances
- 4:23remain mysterious. And scripture does not require
- 4:27us to call evil good. Romans 8 28 does not say
- 4:32everything that happens is good. It tells us
- 4:35that God works in all things for the good of
- 4:38those who love him and are called according to
- 4:41his purpose. That means the fire does not have
- 4:45to be good for God to bring good through it.
- 4:49The betrayal was not necessarily good. The disappointment
- 4:53was not necessarily good. The failure was not
- 4:56good. The injustice was not good. The loss was
- 5:01painful. But God is not limited by what happened.
- 5:05He can take what should have destroyed you and
- 5:09weave it into something that develops you. The
- 5:12fire was not the purpose. Refinement was. Peter
- 5:17says your faith can come through the fire like
- 5:19gold. 1 Peter 1 says that trials come so that
- 5:24the proven genuineness of your faith, of greater
- 5:28worth than gold, which perishes even though refined
- 5:31by fire, may result in praise, glory, and honor
- 5:36when Jesus Christ is revealed. Peter compares
- 5:40tested faith to gold. Gold enters the fire containing
- 5:44impurities. The heat reveals what doesn't belong.
- 5:48The refiner removes it. And what remains becomes
- 5:51purer. Think about our entire season. Maybe the
- 5:55fire revealed something in you. Anger, pride,
- 5:59fear, insecurity, the need for approval, weak
- 6:03boundaries, undisciplined words, unforgiveness,
- 6:07poor stewardship. self -confidence without dependence
- 6:11upon God. Maybe you didn't know it was there.
- 6:14Maybe you knew but underestimated it. Maybe you
- 6:19defended it. Maybe you called it personality.
- 6:22Maybe you blamed everybody else. Then pressure
- 6:26came and suddenly there it was. But what if God
- 6:31allowed you to see it because he wanted to deal
- 6:34with it? Maybe exposure wasn't always destruction.
- 6:38Maybe exposure was an invitation to refinement.
- 6:43The fire revealed you to you. There are things
- 6:46God already knows about us that we have not yet
- 6:50discovered about ourselves. Peter believed he
- 6:54was ready to die with Jesus. Jesus knew Peter
- 6:58was about to deny him. Peter's confidence was
- 7:01sincere, but it wasn't complete self -knowledge.
- 7:06Then pressure came. and Peter discovered Peter.
- 7:10Have you ever experienced that? You thought you
- 7:13were patient until you had to wait. You thought
- 7:17you had forgiven until you saw the person again.
- 7:21You thought you were humble until somebody corrected
- 7:25you. You thought money didn't matter until you
- 7:29lost some. You thought you trusted God until
- 7:34the answer didn't come. You thought you had self
- 7:37-control. Until temptation came at the right
- 7:41moment. You thought you didn't need approval.
- 7:45Until people stopped applauding. The fire didn't
- 7:48necessarily create everything it exposed. Sometimes
- 7:52the fire revealed what was already there. And
- 7:56that revelation can be painful. But you cannot
- 7:59surrender what you refuse to see. You cannot
- 8:04strengthen a boundary. you refuse to admit is
- 8:07weak. You cannot repent of something you continue
- 8:11defending. You cannot ask God to transform a
- 8:15version of yourself you keep pretending doesn't
- 8:18exist. Sometimes the beginning of transformation
- 8:22is the moment you finally say, God, I see it
- 8:26now. But God didn't show you the impurity to
- 8:32throw away the gold. This may be one of the most
- 8:35important things we have learned. When God reveals
- 8:39something in you, don't immediately conclude,
- 8:42I'm finished. The refiner doesn't throw away
- 8:45gold because he discovers impurities. The impurities
- 8:49are why refining exists. David failed terribly.
- 8:53God corrected him. Peter failed publicly. Jesus
- 8:57restored him. Jacob carried deception in his
- 9:00history. God wrestled with him and changed him.
- 9:03Moses had weaknesses. God dealt with him. Paul
- 9:07had a past that could have buried him in shame.
- 9:11Yet he said, by the grace of God, I am what I
- 9:15am. Grace does not tell you impurity doesn't
- 9:18matter. Grace says, bring it to God. Let him
- 9:22deal with it. Correction is not always rejection.
- 9:25Conviction is not condemnation. Failure does
- 9:29not automatically cancel purpose. And the crack
- 9:32does not necessarily mean the structure is worthless.
- 9:36Sometimes God shows you the crack because he
- 9:39intends to preserve the structure. Look at who
- 9:44you are becoming. This is where I want us to
- 9:48slow down. Because maybe you have spent this
- 9:51entire season looking at what you lost. But have
- 9:55you looked at what you gained? Not materially,
- 9:59internally. Maybe you pray differently now. Maybe
- 10:02you listen more carefully. Maybe you are slower
- 10:06to react. Maybe you recognize certain temptations
- 10:10sooner. Maybe you understand your boundaries
- 10:13better. Maybe you don't need everybody's approval
- 10:16anymore. Maybe you apologize faster. Maybe you
- 10:21know when to remain silent. Maybe you are more
- 10:24careful with your words. Maybe you have become
- 10:28more compassionate toward people who fail. Maybe
- 10:31you understand grace differently. Maybe you have
- 10:35learned that being strong does not mean pretending
- 10:38you never get tired. Maybe you ask for help sooner.
- 10:42Maybe you recognize pride faster. Maybe you know
- 10:46that your gift cannot replace your character.
- 10:49Maybe you understand that integrity must be protected.
- 10:53Maybe you have learned to pray before responding.
- 10:57Maybe you have learned that not every battle
- 11:00requires your participation. Maybe your circumstances
- 11:05have not completely changed. But you have. And
- 11:10perhaps that is one of the miracles you almost
- 11:13missed. You were waiting for God to change everything
- 11:17around you, and somewhere along the way, God
- 11:21began changing something within you. You asked
- 11:26God to change the season, but God was also changing
- 11:29you. This is the revelation. Sometimes we enter
- 11:33prayer focused on circumstances. Change my job.
- 11:37Change my finances. Change my marriage. Change
- 11:41this person. change the situation, change the
- 11:45environment, change the outcome. But then God
- 11:49begins asking, what about your reaction? What
- 11:53about your pride? What about your discipline?
- 11:56What about your words? What about your boundaries?
- 12:00What about your unforgiveness? What about your
- 12:04stewardship? What about your dependence upon
- 12:07me? And suddenly, The prayer changes. Instead
- 12:11of only, God, change this. It becomes, God, change
- 12:17me while I walk through this. That is a different
- 12:21level of prayer. Because now the fire is no longer
- 12:25simply something you are trying to escape. It
- 12:28becomes something you refuse to waste. God doesn't
- 12:33waste the fire. This has become one of the central
- 12:37declarations of our journey. God doesn't waste
- 12:41the fire. Again, that does not mean God authored
- 12:45every painful thing that happened. It means nothing
- 12:48is beyond his ability to redeem, teach through,
- 12:52transform through, or incorporate into his purposes.
- 12:56Joseph said to his brothers in Genesis 50 20,
- 13:00you intended to harm me, but God intended it
- 13:03for good. The intentions were different. Their
- 13:07intention was harm. God's purpose was preservation.
- 13:12Joseph did not call their evil good. He recognized
- 13:17that their evil did not have final authority
- 13:19over his story. What they intended was not what
- 13:23ultimately defined the outcome. And perhaps there
- 13:27are things in your story that you still cannot
- 13:30explain. Don't force an explanation. where God
- 13:34has not given one. But you can still believe
- 13:37what happened does not have greater authority
- 13:40than God. The fire does not get to decide who
- 13:45you become. The betrayal doesn't. The failure
- 13:48doesn't. The rejection doesn't. The disappointment
- 13:52doesn't. The delay doesn't. The accusation doesn't.
- 13:56The loss doesn't. The wilderness doesn't. God
- 14:00can still work. God can still redeem. God can
- 14:04still teach. God can still restore. God can still
- 14:08redirect. God can still refine. What they meant
- 14:14for evil may have pushed you towards something
- 14:17they never intended. Joseph's brothers wanted
- 14:20him gone. They helped move him toward Egypt.
- 14:24Potiphar's wife wanted him punished. Prison eventually
- 14:28connected him with Pharaoh's officials. The chain
- 14:32did not make sense while Joseph was living it.
- 14:35But later, purpose gave perspective to pain.
- 14:39Sometimes people think they are removing you
- 14:42from something, and God uses the movement to
- 14:45reposition you. Sometimes rejection forces you
- 14:49to discover something you never would have pursued.
- 14:52Sometimes a closed door redirects your attention.
- 14:57Sometimes disappointment reveals misplaced dependence.
- 15:01Sometimes losing people's approval teaches you
- 15:05to live without it. Sometimes the battle drives
- 15:09you deeper into prayer. Sometimes the thing that
- 15:13shook your confidence teaches you to depend upon
- 15:16God instead of yourself. Again, we don't have
- 15:20to call the painful thing good, but we can say,
- 15:24God, if it happened, Don't let it be wasted.
- 15:29Even your failure can become part of your formation.
- 15:33This may be difficult to hear correctly, so listen
- 15:36carefully. Sin is not necessary for spiritual
- 15:40growth. We do not need to fail in order for God
- 15:44to teach us. We should never deliberately choose
- 15:47wrong because we think God will use it. But when
- 15:51we genuinely fail and genuinely repent, God's
- 15:56mercy can teach us through what happened. Peter's
- 16:00denial taught him something about self -confidence.
- 16:03David's failure revealed the devastating consequences
- 16:07of uncontrolled desire and misuse of authority.
- 16:12John Mark's early departure did not prevent him
- 16:15from later becoming useful. Paul never forgot
- 16:19the kind of man grace had rescued. Your failure
- 16:22can teach you boundaries. Humility, dependence,
- 16:26accountability, compassion, watchfulness, the
- 16:30danger of pride, the necessity of prayer, the
- 16:33value of correction. So don't glorify the failure.
- 16:37Glorify the God whose mercy refused to let failure
- 16:40have the final word. Your scars may become part
- 16:46of how you serve somebody else. Jesus told Peter,
- 16:51when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.
- 16:54That is extraordinary. Peter's restored life
- 16:58would eventually become useful to other people.
- 17:01The thing that humbled him would influence how
- 17:04he strengthened others. There are lessons you
- 17:08understand differently after living through them.
- 17:11You speak differently about failure after mercy
- 17:15finds you. You speak differently about grief
- 17:18after you have cried. You speak differently.
- 17:22about waiting after you have waited. You speak
- 17:26differently about temptation after you have discovered
- 17:29your vulnerability. You speak differently about
- 17:33restoration after you have needed it. Your scars
- 17:37do not make you superior, but healed scars can
- 17:42make you compassionate. Maybe somebody will survive
- 17:46because you are willing to say, I know what that
- 17:49valley feels like. I know what shame feels like.
- 17:53I know what waiting feels like. I know what it
- 17:57means to need mercy. And I also know God can
- 18:02meet you there. The fire was preparing your capacity.
- 18:07Remember our last conversations, integrity, discipline,
- 18:12self -control, correction, mercy, stewardship,
- 18:16the weight of blessing. These are connected.
- 18:19Character develops. Discipline strengthens. Self
- 18:23-control protects. Integrity makes you trustworthy.
- 18:27Trustworthiness increases your capacity to carry
- 18:30responsibility. Maybe you were asking God for
- 18:34greater responsibility while God was developing
- 18:38greater character. Maybe you were asking for
- 18:41influence while God was strengthening integrity.
- 18:46Maybe you were asking for abundance. While God
- 18:49was teaching stewardship. Maybe you were asking
- 18:53for leadership. While God was teaching humility.
- 18:58Maybe you were asking for a platform. While God
- 19:02was teaching you how to live when nobody applauds.
- 19:06Maybe you were asking for the palace. While God
- 19:10was developing something in Potiphar's house
- 19:13and the prison. Preparation is also progress.
- 19:17And now perhaps you understand why some lessons
- 19:20matter. The blessing carries weight and God cares
- 19:23about who you become while carrying it. But don't
- 19:28turn this into a formula. We have to preserve
- 19:32this truth. Not every difficult season means
- 19:35a promotion is coming. Not every loss means God
- 19:39is about to replace it with something bigger.
- 19:42Not every waiting season ends with the exact
- 19:45thing you requested. Not every faithful person
- 19:49receives earthly success Christianity is not
- 19:54Endure enough pain and God will reward you with
- 19:57money promotion or influence Jesus himself suffered
- 20:02the Apostles suffered Some faithful believers
- 20:06have walked through enormous hardship without
- 20:09receiving the earthly outcome. They hoped for
- 20:13Our ultimate hope is not success Our ultimate
- 20:17hope is Christ. So when we say refined for a
- 20:20purpose, purpose is bigger than promotion. Purpose
- 20:25may mean becoming more like Christ, more faithful,
- 20:29more loving, more disciplined, more courageous,
- 20:33more compassionate, more useful, more surrendered.
- 20:38Sometimes the greatest thing produced by the
- 20:41fire is not a new position. It is a transformed
- 20:44person. Maybe the purpose was bigger than the
- 20:50thing you lost. Sometimes we become so focused
- 20:54on recovering what was lost that we cannot imagine
- 20:57God doing something beyond it. We want the old
- 21:01door reopened, the old relationship restored,
- 21:05the old position returned, the old opportunity
- 21:09recreated. And sometimes God does restore those
- 21:13things, but sometimes he doesn't. Sometimes restoration
- 21:17is not going backward. Sometimes restoration
- 21:20is discovering that God still has a future, even
- 21:24when yesterday cannot be reconstructed. Purpose
- 21:27is bigger than position. Purpose is bigger than
- 21:30a title. Purpose is bigger than one opportunity.
- 21:33Purpose is bigger than one person's approval.
- 21:36Purpose is bigger than one closed door. God is
- 21:40not limited to the version of your future you
- 21:43originally imagined. Sometimes the fire burns
- 21:46away not only impurities, but also our insistence
- 21:51that God must fulfill purpose exactly the way
- 21:54we expect it. Faith eventually learns to pray,
- 21:58God, I surrender not only my life to you, I surrender
- 22:02my version of how my life must unfold. Now you
- 22:08understand why you couldn't take everything with
- 22:11you. This is why our last conversation mattered.
- 22:14Some things could not follow you. The bitterness
- 22:17had to go. The pride had to go. The need for
- 22:21revenge had to go. The uncontrolled reactions
- 22:24had to go. The weak boundaries had to change.
- 22:28The unhealthy dependence had to change. The need
- 22:32to prove yourself had to go. The comparison had
- 22:35to go. The old compromise had to go. Because
- 22:40sometimes God is preparing a future that requires
- 22:43you to travel lighter. You cannot carry every
- 22:47wound forever. You cannot carry every offense
- 22:51forever. You cannot carry every old identity
- 22:55forever. You cannot carry every old relationship
- 22:58in the same way forever. You cannot carry every
- 23:02habit forever. At some point, you take the lesson
- 23:06and leave the weight. The person coming out should
- 23:11not be identical to the person who went in. If
- 23:14you walk through the fire and learn nothing,
- 23:18something was wasted. But if you come out praying
- 23:21differently, something happened. If you come
- 23:25out humbler, something happened. If you come
- 23:29out wiser, something happened. If you come out
- 23:33with stronger boundaries, something happened.
- 23:37If you come out more disciplined, something happened.
- 23:41If you come out less dependent upon applause,
- 23:45something happened. If you come out more compassionate,
- 23:50something happened. If you come out knowing how
- 23:53much you need God, something happened. If you
- 23:57come out able to forgive, something happened.
- 24:01If you come out with integrity strengthened,
- 24:05something happened. Maybe the miracle wasn't
- 24:08only that you came out, maybe the miracle is
- 24:11who came out. There are fires you should never
- 24:16have to repeat, not because God mechanically
- 24:19gives you the same test until you pass, but because
- 24:23wisdom should remember. If God showed you the
- 24:27danger of poor boundaries, remember. If you learned
- 24:32what pride can cost, remember. If uncontrolled
- 24:35anger damaged something, remember If exhaustion
- 24:39made you vulnerable, remember If isolation weakened
- 24:43you, remember If ignoring conviction led somewhere
- 24:47painful, remember If prayer carried you, remember
- 24:51If accountability protected you, remember If
- 24:56scripture anchored you, remember If God carried
- 25:00you when you had nothing left, remember The lesson
- 25:04becomes part of the refinement. Don't waste it.
- 25:09And now, look at the fire differently. Maybe
- 25:12you once looked at this season and only saw what
- 25:15it took. Now look again. What did it teach? What
- 25:19did it expose? What did it remove? What did it
- 25:23strengthen? What did it redirect? What did it
- 25:26clarify? Who disappeared? Who remained? What
- 25:30became less important? What became more important?
- 25:34What did you discover about God? What did you
- 25:37discover about yourself? What prayer became deeper?
- 25:41What boundary became clearer? What conviction
- 25:44became stronger? What illusion died? What faith
- 25:48survived? Maybe you still don't understand everything.
- 25:53That's okay. You don't need to force meaning
- 25:56onto every detail. But perhaps you understand
- 26:00enough to say, I am not the same person. And
- 26:04maybe that is where purpose begins becoming visible.
- 26:11Refine doesn't mean perfect. Let me make this
- 26:14clear before we finish. You are not leaving this
- 26:17season perfect. I am not leaving this conversation
- 26:21suggesting that mature Christians reach a place
- 26:24where weakness disappears. We remain dependent
- 26:28upon grace. We continue growing. We continue
- 26:32learning. We continue needing correction. We
- 26:35continue needing the Holy Spirit. We continue
- 26:38practicing discipline. We continue guarding integrity.
- 26:43Refinement is not perfection. Refinement is transformation.
- 26:47It is becoming more responsive to God. more aware
- 26:51of your weaknesses, quicker to repent, slower
- 26:54to justify compromise, more willing to receive
- 26:58correction, more intentional about boundaries,
- 27:02more dependent upon grace, more committed to
- 27:05integrity, more faithful with what God places
- 27:09in your hands. The refiner is still working.
- 27:13And maybe that is the purpose. Romans 8, 29 follows
- 27:19the verse we love to quote in Romans 8, 28. After
- 27:24telling us that God works in all things for good
- 27:27according to His purpose, Paul speaks about being
- 27:31conformed to the image of His Son that gives
- 27:34us something profound. Maybe the deepest good
- 27:38God is producing is not simply comfortable circumstances.
- 27:42Maybe He is forming Christ in us. a character
- 27:46that looks more like Jesus, integrity, love,
- 27:50patience, courage, humility, obedience, self
- 27:54-control, compassion, faithfulness. Jesus endured
- 27:58temptation without compromise, popularity without
- 28:02pride, rejection without losing identity, power
- 28:06without corruption, false accusation, Without
- 28:09surrendering truth, suffering without abandoning
- 28:12obedience, if refinement makes us more like Christ,
- 28:17then the purpose goes far beyond the temporary
- 28:20season. This is what the fire was producing.
- 28:24Maybe now we can finally say it. The fire was
- 28:28producing endurance. The fire was producing wisdom.
- 28:33The fire was producing discernment. The fire
- 28:36was producing humility. The fire was producing
- 28:40discipline. The fire was producing stronger boundaries.
- 28:44The fire was producing deeper prayer. The fire
- 28:48was producing compassion. The fire was producing
- 28:52dependence upon God. The fire was producing integrity.
- 28:57The fire was producing faith that had been tested.
- 29:00The fire was producing someone capable of carrying
- 29:04responsibility differently, and perhaps the fire
- 29:08was producing a testimony. Not, look how strong
- 29:12I am, but look how faithful God has been. Not,
- 29:17I survived because I had everything under control.
- 29:20But, God carried me when I didn't. Not, I never
- 29:25failed. But, mercy found me when I did. Not.
- 29:30Nothing hurt me, but what hurt me did not get
- 29:34to determine who I became. So what do you do
- 29:37now? You move forward, but differently. You don't
- 29:41return to Egypt. You don't rebuild what conviction
- 29:45tore down. You don't resurrect what repentance
- 29:48buried. You don't abandon the boundaries that
- 29:51protected you. You don't forget the God you needed
- 29:54in the wilderness when you arrive in the place
- 29:57you prayed for. You don't let blessing replace
- 30:00dependence. You don't let promotion replace humility.
- 30:04You don't let influence replace integrity. You
- 30:07don't let success silence prayer. You don't let
- 30:11yesterday's failure become tomorrow's identity.
- 30:14You don't let yesterday's betrayal become tomorrow's
- 30:18bitterness. You take the lesson. You take the
- 30:22wisdom. You take the humility. You take the discipline.
- 30:26You take the testimony. You take the deeper faith
- 30:29and you keep walking. And now I want to speak
- 30:34directly to you. Maybe you are listening to this
- 30:37while still in the fire. Then perhaps this finale
- 30:40is not yet describing your past. Maybe it is
- 30:43describing what you are hoping to see. You may
- 30:46still be waiting, still hurting, still asking
- 30:49questions, still trying to understand, still
- 30:52praying for the door to open, still asking God
- 30:55for intervention. Then don't force yourself to
- 30:58pretend everything makes sense. Faith does not
- 31:00require pretending. But hold on to this. Your
- 31:04current chapter is not necessarily your final
- 31:07conclusion. You may not yet know what God is
- 31:09doing behind the scenes. You may not yet understand
- 31:13what this season is producing. But stay close
- 31:15to God. Stay teachable. Stay prayerful. Stay
- 31:19accountable. Stay in His Word. Guard your heart.
- 31:22Guard your integrity. Receive correction. Practice
- 31:25discipline. Refuse bitterness. And when the fire
- 31:28reveals something, give it to the refiner. Don't
- 31:31waste the fire. One day you may look back differently.
- 31:37Maybe one day you will look at the season that
- 31:39almost broke you and recognize the place where
- 31:43you learned to pray. Maybe you will look at the
- 31:45rejection and recognize where you stopped living
- 31:49for approval. Maybe you will look at the failure
- 31:52and recognize where pride finally broke. Maybe
- 31:56you will look at the waiting and recognize where
- 31:59endurance grew. Maybe you will look at the correction
- 32:03and recognize where your character changed. Maybe
- 32:07you will look at the closed door and recognize
- 32:09where your direction changed. Maybe you will
- 32:12look at the wilderness and recognize where you
- 32:15discovered God could sustain you. And perhaps
- 32:19you will say, I would never choose everything
- 32:22that happened to me, but I can see that God did
- 32:24not waste it. That is different from calling
- 32:27pain good. That is testimony. The fire didn't
- 32:31get the final word. So as we close this season,
- 32:36I want to leave you with this declaration. The
- 32:39fire did not get the final word. The betrayal
- 32:42did not get the final word. The accusation did
- 32:46not get the final word. The rejection did not
- 32:50get the final word. The disappointment did not
- 32:53get the final word. The failure did not get the
- 32:56final word. The shame did not get the final word.
- 33:00The delay did not get the final word. The wilderness
- 33:03did not get the final word. Even the version
- 33:06of you who entered the fire does not get the
- 33:09final word. God is still working. Grace is still
- 33:13working. The Holy Spirit is still transforming.
- 33:16And the refiner is still refining. This was never
- 33:22just about surviving. Maybe at the beginning
- 33:26you prayed, God, just get me through this. And
- 33:30God did carry you. But now you realize there
- 33:34was more happening. You were learning. You were
- 33:37changing. You were surrendering. You were being
- 33:40corrected. You were discovering weaknesses. You
- 33:44were building discipline. You were learning integrity.
- 33:48You were receiving mercy. You were developing
- 33:50capacity. You were learning stewardship. You
- 33:54were releasing what could not follow you. And
- 33:58perhaps now, you can finally look at the journey
- 34:01and say, I understand. Not everything. Maybe
- 34:06never everything. But enough. Enough to know
- 34:10that God was present. Enough to know that grace
- 34:13was working. Enough to know that the fire did
- 34:17not destroy everything. Enough to know that something
- 34:20came out stronger. Enough to know that your story
- 34:24is still being written. Enough to know that purpose
- 34:28is still alive. And enough to declare, I was
- 34:32refined for a purpose. I will not waste the pain.
- 34:37I will not waste the correction. I will not waste
- 34:41the lesson. I will not waste the mercy. I will
- 34:45not waste the second chance. I will not waste
- 34:48the wisdom. I will not waste the testimony. I
- 34:52will not waste the fire. What God removed, I
- 34:56will not keep rebuilding. What God taught me,
- 34:59I will not intentionally forget. What God entrusted
- 35:03to me, I will steward. Where God corrected me,
- 35:07I will remain teachable. Where God restored me,
- 35:11I will remain grateful. Where God strengthened
- 35:14me, I will remain humble. and whatever comes
- 35:17next I will enter it differently not perfect
- 35:21but refined not without scars but wiser not without
- 35:27a past but no longer imprisoned by it not depending
- 35:31upon myself but depending upon God because now
- 35:35I know the fire was not my destination the fire
- 35:39was part of my preparation and the God who was
- 35:42with me before the fire The God who was with
- 35:45me in the fire will still be God when I walk
- 35:48out of it. So I move forward with deeper faith,
- 35:52with greater wisdom, with stronger integrity,
- 35:55with humility, with discipline, with gratitude,
- 35:58with mercy, with purpose. And with this testimony,
- 36:02God did not waste the fire. I was, I am, and
- 36:06I will continue to be refined for a purpose.
- 36:09This is Pamoja Ministry. And wherever you are
- 36:13in your journey today, remember, the refiner
- 36:16is not finished with you. Keep walking. Keep
- 36:20believing. Keep becoming. And may everything
- 36:24God has taught you in the fire prepare you to
- 36:27faithfully carry whatever he places in your hands
- 36:31next. Always remember, you are not alone.
