- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up everyone, and welcome back to the Epstein Chronicles.
- 0:03In this episode, we're diving right back in to the
- 0:06allegations made by Lisa Doe number one against the estate
- 0:10of Jeffrey Epstein. One twelve. The main function of each
- 0:16of the associates who acted at the instruction or direction
- 0:19of Jeffrey Epstein was to recruit, entice, harbor, transport, provide, obtain, maintain,
- 0:26or solicit young females, knowing that fraud or coercion would
- 0:29be used to cause that female, including plaintiff, to engage
- 0:33in a commercial sex act. One thirteen. Each such associate
- 0:37described above was also employed to perform functions in order
- 0:41to avoid detection of the illegal nature of Epstein's commercial
- 0:45sex trafficking and to forever conceal the enterprise. One fourteen.
- 0:50One significant element used to compel commercial sex acts of
- 0:53young females, including plaintiff, was to avoid detection of the
- 0:57sex trafficking ring was the design of this scheme or
- 1:00pattern intended to cause a person to believe that failure
- 1:03to perform an act would result in serious psychological, financial,
- 1:08or reputational harm. One fifteen. By the time he was
- 1:11released from jail, in two thousand and nine, Jeffrey Epstein's
- 1:15scheme had worked. Plaintiff was completely reliant upon him one sixteen.
- 1:20By this time, plaintiff was twenty four years old, did
- 1:23not have a formal education, and her window of opportunity
- 1:26to become a professional dancer was closed or quickly closing.
- 1:31One seventeen. Jeffrey Epstein had spent years ensuring that plaintiff
- 1:35no longer had her own connections to the dance world.
- 1:39In doing so, he gave her reasonable belief that failure
- 1:42to engage in commercial sex acts would cause her reputational harm.
- 1:46One eighteen. Jeffrey Epstein had selected, coordinated, and paid for
- 1:51plaintiff's dance training for many years. In fact, he had
- 1:54been in complete control of her dance career for seven
- 1:57years or more. One nineteen. Jeffrey Epstein intentionally deployed his
- 2:01scheme to obtain this complete level of control over plaintiff's
- 2:05dance career, with knowledge that he would never intend to
- 2:08fulfill the promise that plaintiff had reasonably relied upon, because
- 2:12he knew that he could not risk losing plaintiff to
- 2:14the dance world, which would inevitably occur if he followed
- 2:18through and use his connections to make her a professional dancer,
- 2:22a career for which he had the natural talent and ability.
- 2:25Losing control over plaintiff and her schedule was never acceptable
- 2:29for Epstein one twenty Jeffrey Epstein knew there was a
- 2:33risk that the plaintiff could soon learn that he had
- 2:36never intended to use his wealth, power and connections to
- 2:39help her with her dance career one twenty one. However,
- 2:43by this point, Jeffrey Epstein had grown reliant upon plaintiff
- 2:46to engage in commercial sex acts with him and to
- 2:49bring other young girls to him to provide him with
- 2:52so called massages. One twenty two. Jeffrey Epstein knew it
- 2:56was imperative for him to maintain control over plaintiff and
- 3:00other individuals like her, especially while he was in jail
- 3:03and unable to employ his scheme, plan or pattern as
- 3:06frequently and regularly as he did when out of jail,
- 3:10or to recruit entice, maintained and solicit young girls through
- 3:14fraud or coercion to engage in commercial sex acts with them.
- 3:18He needed to ensure that Plaintiff would still remain available
- 3:22for him when he was released from jail and return
- 3:25to New York one twenty three. Rather than finally fulfill
- 3:28the false promise that he had used to cause plaintiff
- 3:31to engage in commercial sex acts with them for many years,
- 3:35Jeffrey Epstein created a new fraud one twenty four. He
- 3:39switched his method of operation and attempted to force plaintiff
- 3:43into other professions where he had strong connections and could
- 3:46maintain complete control of her life. One twenty five. This
- 3:51was a scheme to one employed by Jeffrey Epstein and
- 3:54as many associates with numerous victims in order to coerce
- 3:58them into continuing to en age in commercial sex acts
- 4:01with him. One twenty six. His scheme was centered around
- 4:05controlling plaintiff's legitimate world, so that if she did not
- 4:09cooperate in his illegitimate world, he could destroy whatever possibility
- 4:13she had of succeeding in her legitimate career. Epstein made
- 4:17sure plaintiff knew he was capable of doing that one
- 4:21twenty seven. In furtherance of his scheme, Jeffrey Epstein caused
- 4:25plaintiff to believe that her failure to engage in his
- 4:28illegitimate world would result in serious harm one twenty eight.
- 4:33Knowing she had that reality in mind, Jeffrey Epstein forced
- 4:37plaintiff to seek a profession as a massuse, an ironic
- 4:41choice since he had lured plaintiff into committing commercial sex
- 4:44acts by hiring her supposedly to give him massages. Now
- 4:48years later, she still did not have massage training one
- 4:52twenty nine. Jeffrey Epstein made this proposition to plaintiff in
- 4:56order to create the illusion of a legitimate profession for
- 4:59se and distinct from the illegal, illegitimate, and exploitive life
- 5:04she had been suffering with at the hands of Jeffrey Epstein,
- 5:07defendants and their criminal enterprise one thirty Because she did
- 5:11not have any knowledge of the legitimate massage industry, nor
- 5:15did she have any contacts to help her get any training,
- 5:18Plaintiff could only rely upon Jeffrey Epstein both the teacher
- 5:22and recommend her to clients. With these steps in mind,
- 5:25it was clear to plaintiff and Epstein that if she
- 5:28did not cooperate with them and comply with the demands
- 5:30that he made, he could take this new legitimate massage
- 5:33profession away from her as quickly as he had given
- 5:37it to her. One thirty one By this time, Jeffrey
- 5:40Epstein controlled every aspect of Plaintiff's reputational and financial life
- 5:45one thirty two. Turning his young illegitimate massuse into legitimate
- 5:50messuses was a common scheme of Jeffrey Epstein. He did
- 5:53this in an effort to add an apparent legitimacy to
- 5:56his illegal commercial sex acts. One thirty three. As part
- 6:00of his scheme, plan, or pattern to indoctrinate plaintiff into
- 6:03acceptance of his illegal enterprise, Jeffrey Epstein attempted to legitimize
- 6:08the art of massage one thirty four. Despite the fact
- 6:12that plaintiff had been providing Jeffrey Epstein with so called
- 6:15massages for many years, she did not have any training,
- 6:19nor did she actually know how to perform a legitimate massage.
- 6:23One thirty five. Rather than providerr with formal training, which
- 6:27she did not have, Jeffrey Epstein required Associate six to
- 6:31provide plaintiff with three different massage trainings, where Associate six
- 6:35would provide plaintiff with a massage and explain the various
- 6:38techniques she was employing in order and effort to have
- 6:42plaintiff learn something about legitimate massage. Despite this was done
- 6:47by associate six, even though she herself did not possess
- 6:51any formal training or licensure one thirty six, Jeffrey Epstein
- 6:55would not allow plaintiff to acquire outside training or a
- 6:58massage licensure one thirty seven. Given that Jeffrey Epstein had
- 7:03controlled the manner in which plaintiff received the only massage
- 7:06training she was ever going to receive, Jeffrey Epstein was
- 7:09in control of all aspects of that training, legitimate or otherwise,
- 7:14including where a plaintiff would work, when she would work,
- 7:17and by whom she would be employed one thirty eight.
- 7:21As further evidence of his control, Jeffrey Epstein created an
- 7:24entire scheme to have plaintiff employed as a massuse on
- 7:28his own dime while she was working for other organizations
- 7:32one thirty nine. As an example, in exchange for plaintiff
- 7:35engaging in sex acts with Jeffrey Epstein, Jeffrey Epstein made
- 7:39a ten thousand dollars donation to a particular dance company
- 7:43on condition that the dance company used the donated funds
- 7:46only to pay for plaintiff providing massage services to the
- 7:50dancers of the company. Plaintiff continued to engage in commercial
- 7:55sex acts with Epstein, for which she was compensated through
- 7:59these massage donation packages. One forty one. Plaintiff knew that
- 8:04if she did not engage in commercial sex acts with
- 8:06Jeffrey Epstein at his request, or if she did not
- 8:09comply with his demands to bring other girls to provide
- 8:12him with so called massages, then he would cause her
- 8:15both financial and reputational harm, including ruining her professional reputation
- 8:20in the massage community, thus ruining her sole primary, legitimate
- 8:24source of income one forty two. Moreover, if plaintiff did
- 8:29not comply with Jeffrey Epstein, he would use his power
- 8:32to turn the dance companies for whom she was providing
- 8:34massage services against her. Her reputation as a legitimate masseuse
- 8:39would be ruined, and her reputation in the dance community
- 8:42at large would be destroyed. One forty three. Jeffrey Epstein's
- 8:46planned scheme or pattern was so intricate that from the
- 8:49beginning to end, he was employing fraud and coercion in
- 8:52order to entice Plaintiff to engage in commercial sex acts
- 8:56and insured her compliance by causing his victims, including Plaintiff,
- 9:00to believe that failure to perform as demanded would result
- 9:04in serious financial and reputational harm one forty four. In
- 9:08conducting his scheme with plaintiff, Jeffrey Epstein was able to
- 9:12convert one act of fraud, the making of false and
- 9:15course of promises to aid plaintiff's dance career, into another
- 9:19act of fraud, the making of false and course of
- 9:21promises to aid her in the profession of massage. He
- 9:26executed his scheme as a way of regarding, enticing and
- 9:29soliciting her into committing commercial sex acts one forty five.
- 9:34The totality of the circumstances created by Epstein was intended
- 9:38to make plaintiff believe that if she failed to continue
- 9:41engaging in commercial sex acts, Jeffrey Epstein would withdraw every
- 9:45other positive aspect of her life away from her. As
- 9:49a result of his scheme, plaintiff was trapped. She knew
- 9:52that the moment she failed to allow Epstein to commit
- 9:55sexual acts against her, he had the ability, which he
- 9:58used to withdraw, de damage, or destroy all legitimate aspects
- 10:02of her life. One forty six. This fraudulent scheme of
- 10:07Epstein's constituted acts of coercion from beginning to end from
- 10:11two thousand and two through twenty ten, inasmuch as the
- 10:15scheme was designed and caused plaintiff to believe that her
- 10:18failure to perform any sex act required by Epstein would
- 10:22result in serious financial or reputational harm tour. All right, folks,
- 10:27we're going to wrap up here, and in the next episode,
- 10:29we're gonna pick up where we left off. All of
