- 0:27Hey everybody, good morning from the chicken coop.
- 0:30So today I have a quote but we don't know who said it.
- 0:33I researched like crazy trying to figure it out because it
- 0:35drives me insane when things say unknown because I always try to
- 0:38find somebody to give credit to. But this quote is so great.
- 0:42Every day may not be good, but there is good in every day.
- 0:46And obviously unknown is the author of this quote.
- 0:50So what does that mean? That means that you have to.
- 0:57Look to find it. It is not always out in the
- 1:00open. I like to think of these like
- 1:02I'm on a treasure hunt or an Easter egg hunt or some kind of
- 1:07magical thing where you're looking.
- 1:09I love to do hidden pictures and you're always looking for the
- 1:11hidden picture. And for me, that's the thing.
- 1:15It's like you have to seek it out.
- 1:17You have to find it and. If you're listening this week,
- 1:20there's kind of a theme going here about finding these things
- 1:24because people are struggling right now and they are very
- 1:28bombarded by all the wrong things that are happening out in
- 1:30the world, and they're struggling to find the right
- 1:33things. So this is a habit of
- 1:38cultivation. This is a habit that you're
- 1:40developing. This is something that you have
- 1:43to look for. And while you may have, you know
- 1:47bad things happen every day. And every day may not be good.
- 1:52There are good things, small things, tiny things.
- 1:56And how can you get more if you're not even focused on the
- 1:59little ones that happen? It won't happen.
- 2:01You will never, ever, ever be able to truly hit your level of
- 2:06greatness if you're constantly noticing and looking for the
- 2:09things that are not working. So what's so important to
- 2:13remember in the process of doing this is that you have the power
- 2:17to see and not see. You have the power to, you know,
- 2:21change your eyes. Remember the the magic pictures
- 2:24years ago. And it was this whole craze at
- 2:28one point in time where it looked like just this myriad of
- 2:31a graphic and you couldn't see it.
- 2:33But if you. Didn't unfocused your eyes and
- 2:36they would say look past the graphic.
- 2:38All of a sudden you'll see a picture of a plane or a rocket
- 2:41ship or a sun. And I remember I was so young
- 2:45trying to see those and it drove me nuts and I was like, I can't
- 2:49see him, I can't see him. And I would try so hard and I
- 2:52would try so hard and I would look at all the little squares
- 2:54and all I could see was the little squares.
- 2:56So I was seeing right what was right in front of me and I
- 2:59couldn't see the bigger picture which I had to unfocus myself
- 3:04and. Really get into a different
- 3:05headspace. But you know what's really cool
- 3:07about it? Once I did it, once I was able
- 3:10to do it, oh boy, it changed everything.
- 3:13And I learned a trick. And then I learned how to do
- 3:16hidden pictures, and I got way more skilled at being able to
- 3:20see things that I couldn't essentially see.
- 3:22So I'm going to challenge you guys.
- 3:25To go out and try to find that and just food for thought.
- 3:29This is something that I do regularly.
- 3:32It's a habit of mine. I have a hidden pictures app,
- 3:35and no, this isn't a plug for hidden pictures, but I keep it
- 3:38on my iPad so that I can sit and I can look at it because I'm a
- 3:43very visual person and I love to see things that are there that I
- 3:47don't see. So I will walk around like, you
- 3:49know, I've talked about this in the past.
- 3:52I will take pictures of every little treasure that I, and I'm
- 3:55air quoting treasure here that I find on my walks which are are
- 3:59on the farm. Every day I walk, walk, walk
- 4:0327,000 steps a day around the farm.
- 4:05Typically I have a walking trail and I just walk it and I see
- 4:09things. Flowers, bugs, all kinds of
- 4:11things because I'm cultivating A mindset that allows me to find
- 4:17good little things in every day and those little things, no
- 4:20matter how difficult it might be.
- 4:22Be for coaching day or a recording day and how difficult
- 4:25the weather might be or whatever.
- 4:27I'm going to go off and I'm going to find those little good
- 4:29spots. And every day that's why I post
- 4:32pictures of flowers, to teach you guys to do it.
- 4:34That's why I post pictures of bees and bugs and every little
- 4:38tiny thing, because we are surrounded by them.
- 4:41We just have to find them and be willing to stop and pause and
- 4:44look. And I use my cameras to help me
- 4:46with that. All different types, whether
- 4:48it's my. Video camera, my phone, my big
- 4:51camera, my DSLR, whatever it is, I am always taking pictures,
- 4:57much to my husband's dismay by the way, because there's a lot
- 5:00of photos that are in our iCloud and boy, it's a lot.
- 5:04But in any event, it's a tool and it helps you see the good.
- 5:10So try to find the good, you know?
- 5:13Honestly, even a paper clip is an amazing tool.
- 5:18When you think about it, wow, How did somebody come up with
- 5:20that? What a cool thing.
- 5:22Zippers. You put your pants on every day,
- 5:24you zip them up. Guess what?
- 5:27That would not be happening if it was not for the guy who or
- 5:30the girl who created the zipper. I mean, come on, think about it.
- 5:33The person that did that? Pretty brilliant in my opinion.
- 5:37You know, I use these shades out here in the chicken coop to give
- 5:40them areas where they can just get out of the sun.
- 5:44Besides the fact that they can go everywhere they want on the
- 5:46farm, but some of them like to hang out close to the coop.
- 5:49So I create these things. These little shades are awesome.
- 5:53Can't even tell you how grateful I was when I picked up.
- 5:55I was like, wow, this person is amazing and I just sent that
- 5:59person a ton of energy because I wanted to put out good energy.
- 6:04I went there to solve a problem I was dealing with.
- 6:07Not enough shade for the girls who stuck around.
- 6:09That was not a good thing. But guess what?
- 6:12I was so focused and excited. I'm like, I'm going to go find
- 6:14something. I was on a treasure hunt.
- 6:16I walk in, I find it. Boom.
- 6:17Now I've got good in the day. See how it works.
- 6:21So go find your good in the day. All right, my friends, have a
- 6:24blessed day and I'll see you tomorrow.
- 6:26Bye.
