- 0:10Speaker 1: Let's listen to some voicemails. Boys, Yeah, let's do it
- 0:13Speaker 1: voicemail time. We need to jingle for this segment. I agree.
- 0:16Speaker 1: Do you guys know any musicians something uh that tees
- 0:20Speaker 1: it up in a really fun and you know, lighthearted way.
- 0:23Speaker 1: Maybe we can write one right now and then we
- 0:25Speaker 1: can get it composed in post. Yeah, go ahead. I
- 0:28Speaker 1: should be like, butt up bump, all right, butt up
- 0:31Speaker 1: bump voice males with the brothers.
- 0:35Speaker 2: Bruce males with brothers, and don't dun't brother bump And
- 0:45Speaker 2: if you've got the question, just leave it at.
- 0:48Speaker 1: The beep bum. I love that. Yes, boys, man, a
- 0:59Speaker 1: lot of bass. A question just in plays. Let's play
- 1:13Speaker 1: the first one.
- 1:13Speaker 3: Hi, my name is Anna, and I have a little story,
- 1:17Speaker 3: followed by a question. So on the Greetings from your
- 1:19Speaker 3: Own Town tour, I was lucky enough to to be
- 1:22Speaker 3: selected to shoot the surprise song. But while I was
- 1:25Speaker 3: talking to you guys, specifically Joe, he said like, what's
- 1:29Speaker 3: your mother's name? And I thought he said what's your
- 1:31Speaker 3: brother's name? And I was like, I don't have a brother.
- 1:34Speaker 3: The thing is, it's not e Barrisic. But it is
- 1:36Speaker 3: one of those moments that what I'm sometimes like, when
- 1:39Speaker 3: you're trying to get to sleep at night, your brain
- 1:42Speaker 3: keeps you up and it's like, hey, remember that this
- 1:44Speaker 3: cringing thing you did. My question for you is, what
- 1:47Speaker 3: is something in the last year that would be one
- 1:50Speaker 3: of those cringing things that you did that that could keep.
- 1:53Speaker 4: You up at night?
- 1:54Speaker 5: Is that too dark?
- 1:55Speaker 6: Okay?
- 1:56Speaker 3: Oh well I can't. I can't delete this all right?
- 1:59Speaker 4: Let me back.
- 2:01Speaker 1: I love you have an amazing character voice. Yeah, she
- 2:04Speaker 1: should you be on like you would be fantastic on
- 2:06Speaker 1: a Rick and Morty, Bob's Burgers or Rick and Morty.
- 2:10Speaker 1: There's countless things that we've done embarrassingly or cringey in
- 2:13Speaker 1: the last year. Or I to speak for myself, but
- 2:15Speaker 1: why don't you start? Then? I said something today that
- 2:20Speaker 1: I felt I was cringey. And I was waiting in
- 2:23Speaker 1: line for my smoothie post workout little creatine in there,
- 2:28Speaker 1: and I was reaching over and I was in a
- 2:30Speaker 1: commit conversation. So I don't know, brain fart, brain fart's happened?
- 2:34Speaker 1: This is called which called brain fart. It's okay a
- 2:37Speaker 1: BF not to be confused with boyfriend. I reached over
- 2:42Speaker 1: to grab a straw and I said, and to the
- 2:44Speaker 1: lady that was right there, I said, excuse you, And
- 2:45Speaker 1: that was second I said, I'm so sorry, I mean
- 2:50Speaker 1: to excuse me. She just looked at me like it's okay,
- 2:53Speaker 1: and I was like, I know I did, and I'm like,
- 2:55Speaker 1: that was brain fart. Excuse me, excuse you. I have
- 2:59Speaker 1: a similar one where I was playing golf recently, and golf,
- 3:02Speaker 1: I think it's a whole thing right, as you all know,
- 3:05Speaker 1: but for those that don't, there are unspoken rules and
- 3:07Speaker 1: things you don't do. If someone hits a bad shot,
- 3:10Speaker 1: it is in good form to to throw them in
- 3:12Speaker 1: another ball and be like, we're not setting the course
- 3:14Speaker 1: records today, Like have a good time hitting unless you're
- 3:17Speaker 1: actually in a competition. Unless you're in a competition, but
- 3:19Speaker 1: if it's just free plage is fun. There are things
- 3:21Speaker 1: you do to make the other person feel like we're
- 3:23Speaker 1: not good enough to be taking this that seriously, Yeah,
- 3:25Speaker 1: we don't need to care much. The person I was
- 3:27Speaker 1: playing with that I don't really know it very well,
- 3:29Speaker 1: hit a shot. But just as they had hit the
- 3:32Speaker 1: putt which didn't go very well, I had taken a
- 3:35Speaker 1: sip of my sparkling water and one of the carbonation
- 3:38Speaker 1: bubbles hit the back of my throat and I went,
- 3:41Speaker 1: oh no, just as they missed the putt to like
- 3:44Speaker 1: make par or bird or something, and they kind of
- 3:45Speaker 1: look back like, damn, this guy sucks. I was laughing
- 3:50Speaker 1: at you. It was the I had a carbonate, you know,
- 3:53Speaker 1: so I just kind of let it go over compensated
- 3:55Speaker 1: a whole or later. I was like, hey, it's tough
- 3:58Speaker 1: course out here. He's really winning run fast. Huh. All right,
- 4:02Speaker 1: that's a good one. Unless Kevin, you've never been cringing
- 4:04Speaker 1: in your life. I was gonna say, I have too
- 4:05Speaker 1: many to count. I don't even know where to start.
- 4:07Speaker 1: It's just too like it's every time I open my mouth,
- 4:09Speaker 1: I have an issue. So let's just move on. My
- 4:12Speaker 1: favorite of yours is the condolences to the chef. That's
- 4:15Speaker 1: like the old class one. It's carried with me for
- 4:17Speaker 1: a very long Like first nice meal was at A
- 4:20Speaker 1: four Seasons. It was also probably our first nice hotel.
- 4:24Speaker 1: It was the Rints in Dallas. I remember exactly where
- 4:27Speaker 1: I was, and the Jonas brothers were somebody. The people
- 4:31Speaker 1: were paying attention to us. Somebody put us and the
- 4:34Speaker 1: Ritz and we were like oh my gosh. And we
- 4:37Speaker 1: had a concert that night and they kept the restaurant
- 4:39Speaker 1: open late for us to have a meal, and we
- 4:44Speaker 1: all had a delicious meal on and on the way
- 4:46Speaker 1: out we saw some of the staff and Kevin said
- 4:48Speaker 1: to the GM, he goes, uh, meal is fantastic. My
- 4:52Speaker 1: condolences to the chef walked out, you know, and I
- 4:57Speaker 1: think you at the time, you probably had a summer
- 4:59Speaker 1: scarf and you flipped it back as you said it too.
- 5:01Speaker 1: Definitely summer scarfed it at that point. The thing I
- 5:03Speaker 1: don't tell about the story was I looked up the
- 5:07Speaker 1: word condolences and I believe I like read the definition
- 5:12Speaker 1: wrong and used it. I was like intentionally used the word,
- 5:17Speaker 1: which was like an absurd So you were like, I'm
- 5:20Speaker 1: looking this up, I'm going to I'm going to the
- 5:21Speaker 1: Ritz Dallas. Yeah, like I like did a whole thing
- 5:24Speaker 1: or like did a you know, I mean, I don't
- 5:26Speaker 1: think it was the worst. I think it was Saint
- 5:27Speaker 1: Regis if I'm now correcting myself. So manys, next voicemail,
- 5:35Speaker 1: let's hit it.
- 5:36Speaker 5: Hello.
- 5:37Speaker 6: My name is Heather and I've been a fan for
- 5:40Speaker 6: twenty one years now, so I am in a relationship.
- 5:43Speaker 6: We've been together for seven years and we talk a
- 5:47Speaker 6: little bit about marriage, but just just a normal like
- 5:50Speaker 6: when are you getting me your ring? What are you doing?
- 5:53Speaker 1: And normal?
- 5:54Speaker 6: Well, to know how long it took Heaven to decide
- 5:58Speaker 6: that he wanted to by Danielle ring and how long
- 6:03Speaker 6: it took actually to go through like the whole process.
- 6:07Speaker 6: I've seeing the parents and everything, and is seven years
- 6:10Speaker 6: way too frigging long, just kidding. He lets me go
- 6:12Speaker 6: to Jonas Brothers concerts whenever I want, so never merged
- 6:17Speaker 6: a tour. So he's a good person.
- 6:19Speaker 1: Great person.
- 6:20Speaker 6: I love you guys. Bye.
- 6:21Speaker 1: It reminds me of Delilah her voice, Remember Delilah, she's
- 6:25Speaker 1: still on bro. Can we just play the first like
- 6:28Speaker 1: when she introduced herself one more time. I'm gonna add something.
- 6:30Speaker 4: Hello, my name is Heather and I have been a No,
- 6:39Speaker 4: that's a different like a different Uh.
- 6:42Speaker 1: It's like a I don't know, that's like a a
- 6:45Speaker 1: commercial you see on television past like two am the
- 6:48Speaker 1: questions for me, it took Kevin all two minutes to
- 6:51Speaker 1: decide if you wanted to marry Danielle kind of No,
- 6:53Speaker 1: it was about a year in I said a year in,
- 6:56Speaker 1: I was like, I definitely want to marry this girl,
- 6:58Speaker 1: and about six months later started working on a ring
- 7:03Speaker 1: and then I asked her parents. It was pretty straightforward.
- 7:06Speaker 1: It was like two years into everything, two and a
- 7:08Speaker 1: half just enormy engagement to wedding pipeline. That's that seems normal.
- 7:14Speaker 1: You nick though, like your you went, how do you
- 7:16Speaker 1: know you were a couple months before about the ring? Yeah,
- 7:20Speaker 1: like forty eight days knew interesting and your wedd didn't
- 7:24Speaker 1: ask me. It's weird. I would. I feel like you
- 7:34Speaker 1: should start being more obvious with your questions to your partner.
- 7:38Speaker 1: It's time to get real. I know she's not asking,
- 7:41Speaker 1: she's asking like how long did it take for you?
- 7:43Speaker 7: Keap?
- 7:43Speaker 1: But I'm I think there's also the elephant in the room,
- 7:46Speaker 1: meaning seven years is a long time, a damn and
- 7:48Speaker 1: ring in the corner h pair shape that. I feel
- 7:51Speaker 1: like she should probably be like like, oh man, so
- 7:55Speaker 1: what's the fucking plan? Yeah, seven years is like a
- 7:59Speaker 1: little past the window. No more hinting. I think it's
- 8:03Speaker 1: time for I think it's time for the chat. Yeah,
- 8:05Speaker 1: you're about to finish college and finish your master's degree,
- 8:08Speaker 1: like you need to. You need to figure it out
- 8:10Speaker 1: and be like yo, bro, or how about just everyone
- 8:12Speaker 1: has their own timeline? Chill, You guys are being a
- 8:14Speaker 1: judging I don't like it. The audience is gonna love
- 8:16Speaker 1: me for that. I don't know. I'm just trying to
- 8:20Speaker 1: keep things interesting. You know, Let's have some real conversations.
- 8:23Speaker 1: I think. I don't know why not. I kind of agree.
- 8:26Speaker 1: It's like at a certain point, is it going to
- 8:27Speaker 1: be too long? Where that at that point you spent
- 8:29Speaker 1: seven years maybe more with someone that doesn't if that's
- 8:32Speaker 1: your plan for your future, like you want to get married,
- 8:35Speaker 1: then there needs to be a real conversation. I think
- 8:38Speaker 1: there you go, and if you don't want to get married,
- 8:40Speaker 1: then let people live their lives. Guys, that's the problem.
- 8:42Speaker 1: What if his version is I don't want to get married,
- 8:45Speaker 1: but hers is They should know now that's what I'm saying.
- 8:47Speaker 1: She definitely wants to get married. She didn't call to
- 8:49Speaker 1: be like for sure, guys, why do people want to
- 8:51Speaker 1: get married? I know she wants to get married. I'm
- 8:53Speaker 1: just trying to make you guys look bad, that's all.
- 8:57Speaker 1: That's fine. Wow, I'm in my villain era. Okay, next one.
- 9:06Speaker 7: It's Hailey from Arizona. I'm a big fan and I
- 9:10Speaker 7: have kind of a predicament. I'm the youngest of four siblings.
- 9:14Speaker 7: My oldest brother and I have been estranged for a
- 9:17Speaker 7: few years now. He recently got married and moved across
- 9:21Speaker 7: the country. I was not invited, which I completely understand,
- 9:25Speaker 7: but my parents knew about it, along with another brother.
- 9:30Speaker 6: They knew about it for months, They.
- 9:32Speaker 7: Attended the wedding, they helped him move, and kept it
- 9:36Speaker 7: all a secret from me and my sister, all because
- 9:38Speaker 7: he asked them to What hurts isn't what my brother did.
- 9:41Speaker 7: I have totally come to expect that what hurts is
- 9:45Speaker 7: feeling like there's a pattern where everyone accommodates the difficult
- 9:49Speaker 7: sibling and the rest of us are just expected to
- 9:51Speaker 7: deal with the fallout. So my question for you is,
- 9:54Speaker 7: as brothers who have worked through conflict and rebuilt relationships,
- 9:59Speaker 7: what advice would you give for healing a family wound
- 10:03Speaker 7: when maybe it seems like accountability is one sided and
- 10:08Speaker 7: the people you're most disappointed in aren't the difficult family member,
- 10:12Speaker 7: but maybe the family members who help enable the behavior.
- 10:17Speaker 7: Would love to know your thoughts on this.
- 10:19Speaker 5: I love the podcast you guys are awesome.
- 10:21Speaker 1: Thinks Wow, well, I think you are therapized for sure.
- 10:27Speaker 1: She's this person is I think, already working on themselves,
- 10:31Speaker 1: which I think is incredible. Number One, you're doing a
- 10:34Speaker 1: great job because the way you're just communicating how you're
- 10:37Speaker 1: feeling about the situation, it's very impressive. And I feel
- 10:42Speaker 1: like this situation obviously is very complicated, and I'm sorry
- 10:46Speaker 1: that you didn't get invited to the wedding, and I'm
- 10:48Speaker 1: sorry it's a strange to your relationship. That's tough for family,
- 10:51Speaker 1: that's tough. But yes, there is some moves being made
- 10:53Speaker 1: on your behalf, which is a little strange. And I
- 10:57Speaker 1: feel like at least the family members that you're close with,
- 11:01Speaker 1: there's got to be some sort of family meeting and
- 11:04Speaker 1: just be like, guys, we got to figure this out
- 11:06Speaker 1: more of like an intervention. But right, well, well, yeah,
- 11:09Speaker 1: I got I agree with you, Joe, but I also
- 11:11Speaker 1: like the relationship might not be not healable, Like that's fine.
- 11:16Speaker 1: The family members that that are she's good with, I mean,
- 11:18Speaker 1: shouldn't be like finding out that you're hiding something with
- 11:21Speaker 1: an a strange family member. To make it less of
- 11:24Speaker 1: a blow for you like that's weird. I totally agree. Yeah,
- 11:27Speaker 1: I also think that, you know, it's especially painful when
- 11:31Speaker 1: it's your parents and you feel like they're prioritizing, you know,
- 11:35Speaker 1: another child over you, and it's a really complicated thing
- 11:39Speaker 1: for all all parties. However, I think, you know, given
- 11:42Speaker 1: the fact that you're Haley's processing this the way you
- 11:46Speaker 1: know you are, it means that you're coming to the
- 11:49Speaker 1: conversation with balance and thoughtfulness and you know, at least
- 11:54Speaker 1: some empathy and compassion, knowing that it's so tricky. But
- 11:57Speaker 1: I do think a conversation is warranted. And just to
- 12:00Speaker 1: put it in the context of our dynamic and our experiences,
- 12:04Speaker 1: there have been plenty of times where one of us
- 12:06Speaker 1: felt a certain way, and including Franklin, you know, and
- 12:11Speaker 1: the fact is we're still mom and Dad's kids, and
- 12:13Speaker 1: they have to champion each of us in different ways,
- 12:17Speaker 1: even if they might feel like, well that one's clearly
- 12:20Speaker 1: in the wrong in the situation, or it's too nuanced
- 12:23Speaker 1: to say someone's wrong or right. They got to sort
- 12:25Speaker 1: of be Switzerland and love all their children equally even
- 12:28Speaker 1: when there's conflict. And I think I've taken a lot
- 12:31Speaker 1: of learning from that you know, and applied it to
- 12:34Speaker 1: even our brotherhood, and there have been times that been like,
- 12:37Speaker 1: all right, you know what, I get it. They need
- 12:38Speaker 1: to like prioritize that right now and their feelings and
- 12:43Speaker 1: hurt even if I might feel a certain way, I
- 12:46Speaker 1: think the conversations do and it should happen in like
- 12:49Speaker 1: a place that doesn't feel like an intense environment, just
- 12:52Speaker 1: like as you said, Joe, like a hang just or
- 12:54Speaker 1: maybe Kevin with you a hang to just air it
- 12:56Speaker 1: out and have a conversation. I think that's smart. It's
- 13:00Speaker 1: tough smart. Next up, Hi, Okay.
- 13:03Speaker 5: I had a question.
- 13:05Speaker 8: So my husband and I are married of eight years
- 13:08Speaker 8: and in a multicultural marriage. He's from Guatemala and I'm,
- 13:12Speaker 8: as he says, all Americans, born and raised in Washington State.
- 13:17Speaker 8: We have two little boys. But one challenge we faced
- 13:21Speaker 8: is realizing we had different expectations around simple things like cooking, cleaning,
- 13:29Speaker 8: parenting because of our cultural and family backgrounds. I'm just
- 13:34Speaker 8: wondering have any of you experienced cultural differences or family
- 13:39Speaker 8: differences showing up in every day married or relationships in
- 13:44Speaker 8: family life and what helps you worked through them as
- 13:47Speaker 8: a couple.
- 13:48Speaker 5: Thank you so much.
- 13:48Speaker 1: By Wow great question. I think I think a lot
- 13:52Speaker 1: of people will probably deal with this. Yes, yeah, I
- 13:56Speaker 1: think cultural differences I can only imagine. But like even
- 13:59Speaker 1: just how you were Raisa, as people like, you know,
- 14:02Speaker 1: if you're used to expecting something in relationship, I think
- 14:05Speaker 1: that's a poise for disaster. In my opinion, I think
- 14:08Speaker 1: if you expect something of someone without ever communicating that
- 14:12Speaker 1: that's what you're looking for, I think that's going to
- 14:15Speaker 1: head towards disaster pretty quickly. Expectations of the blueprint for
- 14:18Speaker 1: disappointment is something our father always used to say. Yeah,
- 14:23Speaker 1: so that's true marriage. But but as first, cultural differences,
- 14:26Speaker 1: I mean, I'm also in a multicultural, multi religious family,
- 14:31Speaker 1: my wife being from India. There's a lot of things,
- 14:33Speaker 1: as you guys know, early in our relationship that took
- 14:36Speaker 1: some kind of figuring out, right, you know, just ways
- 14:39Speaker 1: in which the culture is just different. It's all you know,
- 14:42Speaker 1: communication and just certain ways in which things were done,
- 14:49Speaker 1: rituals and otherwise, whether that's you know us, the way
- 14:54Speaker 1: we do things here or the way they do things there.
- 14:57Speaker 1: It took, you know, a bit of a learning curve,
- 14:59Speaker 1: but I came to love kind of learning and and
- 15:03Speaker 1: finding kind of our rhythm within it, and there's it
- 15:07Speaker 1: just it just makes life so much more exciting and
- 15:11Speaker 1: the experiences you have so much more fulfilling when when
- 15:14Speaker 1: you're when you're experiencing something that your partner grew up
- 15:19Speaker 1: doing or or loves about their culture, and how you
- 15:21Speaker 1: apply that to your own life and the world you
- 15:23Speaker 1: build together. So I think it's it's sort of twofold.
- 15:26Speaker 1: There's one version where it's like I think there's a
- 15:28Speaker 1: conversation that we had around expectations around who's carrying what
- 15:32Speaker 1: responsibilities in the relationship, and then a separate one around
- 15:35Speaker 1: how can we embrace things that you love about your
- 15:36Speaker 1: culture and that I love about mine and celebrate these
- 15:40Speaker 1: things together and make it a part of the fabric
- 15:41Speaker 1: of who we are as a team. And you know
- 15:44Speaker 1: that that can be an exciting journey to go on.
- 15:47Speaker 1: I agree, I actually disagree. Yeah, I will say that
- 15:52Speaker 1: I do think that, like, it's hard when you have
- 15:55Speaker 1: a lot of people expecting certain things in a household
- 15:58Speaker 1: just because of either gender or like role, Like I
- 16:02Speaker 1: don't necessarily I do not agree that that's how it
- 16:04Speaker 1: should roll. So it's definitely difficult when that's like embedded
- 16:09Speaker 1: in a lot of people based on where they're from.
- 16:11Speaker 1: That's a great point.
- 16:12Speaker 9: Moving on, Hey, so my name is Sabrina and I
- 16:15Speaker 9: live in Pensacola, Florida. So I just got.
- 16:18Speaker 5: Married two years ago and I moved.
- 16:20Speaker 9: From Rome, Georgia to Pensacola, And I was wondering how
- 16:25Speaker 9: y'all managed to like move away from like your parents,
- 16:29Speaker 9: because I know for me, it's kind of hard living
- 16:33Speaker 9: with it, like living without them. But now I was
- 16:36Speaker 9: a loving husband who I love so dearly, but it's
- 16:39Speaker 9: just so hard, like visiting my parents and then leaving
- 16:42Speaker 9: kind of getting that homesickness again. But I was just
- 16:45Speaker 9: wondering how y'all manage your time with like your parents
- 16:50Speaker 9: of like separating and having your own families.
- 16:52Speaker 1: Now, thank you for the question. We share our parents. Now,
- 16:59Speaker 1: our parents are. I can hear them. They're in the
- 17:02Speaker 1: other room and Dad, you know, is on the phone
- 17:05Speaker 1: walking around. Obviously, not everybody has that luxury of being
- 17:07Speaker 1: able to get you through parents to visit as often,
- 17:09Speaker 1: and you have to go visit them a couple times
- 17:11Speaker 1: a year if you're lucky. There was definitely seasons where
- 17:14Speaker 1: you know, we got the taste of it. COVID and
- 17:16Speaker 1: all that where we didn't get to see our parents
- 17:18Speaker 1: for quite a while, right, and that could be really tough.
- 17:20Speaker 1: I mean, just even I moved pretty far a couple
- 17:24Speaker 1: of years ago from where my family was and felt
- 17:28Speaker 1: so lonely, like the first time in my life, I
- 17:30Speaker 1: felt like, wow, I feel pretty alone, like pretty separated,
- 17:34Speaker 1: pretty far from from fam. But I found ways to
- 17:38Speaker 1: look forward to seeing them and making a proper plan
- 17:42Speaker 1: either meeting them halfway or whatever. And also finding a
- 17:44Speaker 1: good community for yourself. You know, finding some good friends
- 17:47Speaker 1: is important, and if you can do that, I think
- 17:51Speaker 1: it's great. And also I think there's been like a
- 17:53Speaker 1: lot some fun things on Zoom came out of COVID.
- 17:58Speaker 1: We were doing a lot of like game nights on
- 17:59Speaker 1: Zoo and even with my parents. I don't know if
- 18:01Speaker 1: your parents are tech savvy, but there's a game called
- 18:04Speaker 1: Code Names. It's a good one for the family online.
- 18:07Speaker 1: We should do it. You can play on Zoom. Try
- 18:09Speaker 1: that out with your parents. I think adulting can be
- 18:13Speaker 1: a really liberating experience too. When you, you know, move
- 18:16Speaker 1: out on your own, you start to think about, you know,
- 18:18Speaker 1: what do I want to put on my grocery list
- 18:20Speaker 1: and what's my laundry day, and you start to build
- 18:23Speaker 1: those those systems, even if you don't stick to it
- 18:25Speaker 1: and don't put the pressure on it, because there's there's
- 18:29Speaker 1: going to be chaotic moments. But I think you can
- 18:31Speaker 1: find ways to sort of gamify it and be like,
- 18:33Speaker 1: you know, this can be fun defining who I am
- 18:36Speaker 1: as an adult and what my home looks and feels like.
- 18:41Speaker 1: And then you know, FaceTime is.
- 18:43Speaker 10: An incredible tool for all relationship So FaceTime as much
- 18:48Speaker 10: as you can and try to, you know, kind offset
- 18:51Speaker 10: some of that home sickness.
- 18:53Speaker 1: I just got one of those TVs that roll around
- 18:55Speaker 1: that you get all those ads for and it's got
- 18:57Speaker 1: zoom on it. It's the greatest thing ever. It's whoa
- 19:01Speaker 1: so cool. So when if you see me rolling you
- 19:04Speaker 1: around my house and like you're there in the room,
- 19:06Speaker 1: that's what's going on. So get one of those TVs.
- 19:08Speaker 1: They're pretty great. You should buyer one. keV, let's go.
- 19:10Speaker 1: Kev's got that solo artist money now he's just buying
- 19:13Speaker 1: TVs that roll on the house. Yeah, I wish have
- 19:15Speaker 1: we got time for one more?
- 19:17Speaker 2: Hi?
- 19:17Speaker 5: Jonas Brothers.
- 19:19Speaker 11: I might be a little bit of an older fan.
- 19:21Speaker 11: I'm twenty seven and I recently got braces. I wasn't
- 19:25Speaker 11: able to afford it as a kid, and now I can,
- 19:29Speaker 11: and I'm trying to fix my team so I can
- 19:31Speaker 11: be more confident.
- 19:32Speaker 5: So I was wondering to you, guys, how do you
- 19:36Speaker 5: guys stay so confident? I know, Joe has had some
- 19:41Speaker 5: things in the past, uh, like for example in a
- 19:45Speaker 5: grade when he you know, crapped himself at school and
- 19:49Speaker 5: then had to go back and clean it up. But
- 19:52Speaker 5: then only a few years later is performing with the
- 19:55Speaker 5: Jonas Brothers and just exuding confidence. How do you guys
- 20:01Speaker 5: do that? So thank you guys if you answer my questions.
- 20:06Speaker 5: Sending love, and I hope you guys have a blessed day.
- 20:09Speaker 1: Joe, how do you stay so confident after you've pooped
- 20:11Speaker 1: your pants and now I'm a Jonas brother? How do
- 20:14Speaker 1: you do it? Someone like you being conmic? How does that?
- 20:17Speaker 1: How does that happen someone as well? H good on
- 20:23Speaker 1: you getting braces and feeling your best self. Yeah, that's good.
- 20:27Speaker 1: It's great. And now braces are way cooler than they
- 20:30Speaker 1: were when when we were younger. We're doing the whole
- 20:32Speaker 1: invisil line thing, right, now it's working out great for
- 20:34Speaker 1: everybody we are meaning, are you that our daughters are?
- 20:37Speaker 7: Oh? Got it?
- 20:38Speaker 1: I got good ass teeth right now, good ass teeth straight.
- 20:45Speaker 1: You know, there are days we don't feel our best
- 20:47Speaker 1: and don't feel that confident, and you catch your reflection
- 20:53Speaker 1: selfie cam pops up and you see a triple chin you. Well,
- 20:58Speaker 1: I'm going to the gym today. But I think probably
- 21:01Speaker 1: like little things help. Honestly, I like a little little
- 21:07Speaker 1: morning walk, clear my head. And I just also try
- 21:11Speaker 1: not to poot my pants as much anymore. It's probably
- 21:14Speaker 1: step one of your day. Just don't poop my pants sometimes.
- 21:18Speaker 1: I did send that to our our group chat, days
- 21:21Speaker 1: without Pooping your pants zero when it happened to me
- 21:24Speaker 1: a couple years maybe a year ago. Yeah, I had
- 21:27Speaker 1: this thought recently. It's more related to like social environments
- 21:32Speaker 1: and you know, big groups or group setting, whatever it is.
- 21:34Speaker 1: And and it was advice that I gave somebody else,
- 21:37Speaker 1: and I was like, man, I should listen to my
- 21:39Speaker 1: own advice, which I never do, but it was basically like, hey,
- 21:41Speaker 1: just just keep in mind that everybody else in this
- 21:43Speaker 1: room is probably having the same self talk thoughts that
- 21:47Speaker 1: you're having about what they just said, or how they look,
- 21:50Speaker 1: or how you know their stature in the room socially,
- 21:54Speaker 1: all those things were all doing it in real time,
- 21:57Speaker 1: and the first person be like, I'm not I'm just
- 21:58Speaker 1: one hundred percent of company, like they're full of hit.
- 22:03Speaker 1: I think, just it's that old thing of like imagine
- 22:05Speaker 1: that everyone else in the room is is not worring
- 22:08Speaker 1: like that thing, but apply it to the fact that
- 22:10Speaker 1: everyone else is probably feeling some level of insecurity at
- 22:12Speaker 1: every every given moment. It should take some pressure off
- 22:15Speaker 1: and allow you to just be yourself and know that
- 22:17Speaker 1: confidence isn't just about the way you look or how
- 22:19Speaker 1: you feel or whatever. It's a frame of mind. It's
- 22:22Speaker 1: a it's a mindset I love that you have to adopt,
- 22:25Speaker 1: and you have to choose to be confident and happy
- 22:28Speaker 1: and to feel the best version of yourself each day.
- 22:30Speaker 1: And when you don't to that point, Joe, I think
- 22:33Speaker 1: taking a walk's a great call. Watching something that's going
- 22:36Speaker 1: to make you feel uplifted and happy. There's so much
- 22:39Speaker 1: like doom scrolling that happens, and it only weighs in
- 22:41Speaker 1: further into your confidence. Or one way to really confidence
- 22:45Speaker 1: boost listen to the Hagones podcast right here on iHeartRadio.
- 22:49Speaker 1: Proven by most the most, nine of ten scientists say,
- 22:55Speaker 1: one out of one out of ten. Actually, he's likely
- 22:56Speaker 1: the one that the check this out. He's one of it,
- 23:02Speaker 1: all right. Thanks for all your amazing questions and calls.
- 23:05Speaker 1: Make sure to keep you coming. Yeah, keeping coming is
- 23:08Speaker 1: our hotline. It is one eight four Hey Jonas or
- 23:11Speaker 1: one eight four four three nine five six six two
- 23:14Speaker 1: seven as always, Bye bye bye bye bye bye
