- 0:10Speaker 1: And good morning. Welcome to car Talk here on K
- 0:14Speaker 1: one AM, fourteen hundred FM ninety three point three and
- 0:17Speaker 1: ninety five point one. Nathan Thompson here. And you know
- 0:21Speaker 1: we always say that the Dungeons brand is a family business,
- 0:27Speaker 1: and we've got the new generation in today, got William
- 0:32Speaker 1: Dungeons and William, how are you today?
- 0:34Speaker 2: I'm doing great, feel good to fill in today, and
- 0:37Speaker 2: you know, a little nervous, you know, I know I
- 0:39Speaker 2: have big shoes to Phil. He's been doing this for
- 0:41Speaker 2: a while, but I'm excited to give it a shot.
- 0:44Speaker 1: Well there you go.
- 0:45Speaker 3: Well, yeah, I mean he is your dad.
- 0:46Speaker 1: So yeah, Brad Dungeons is out today. So the Dungeons
- 0:51Speaker 1: Toyota CarTALK is with William Dungeons and this is what you're.
- 0:55Speaker 3: The fifth generation? Yes, I would be the fifth Now
- 0:59Speaker 3: are you proud of me for doing that?
- 1:00Speaker 1: Matter?
- 1:01Speaker 4: No?
- 1:01Speaker 3: That was impressive?
- 1:02Speaker 1: Yeah all yeah, right, Well the good news is you're
- 1:05Speaker 1: much taller than your dad.
- 1:06Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, No, I beat just about everyone in my family.
- 1:09Speaker 2: My younger brother looks like he's going to catch up
- 1:12Speaker 2: to me, and has for a while, but luckily I
- 1:14Speaker 2: don't think he will, so I might get to keep
- 1:15Speaker 2: that title just by a half an inch.
- 1:17Speaker 1: Yeah, there you go, There you go. Well, William Dungeons
- 1:20Speaker 1: again in for Brad for Dunge's Toyota Car Talk, and
- 1:24Speaker 1: you brought a special guest with you today.
- 1:25Speaker 3: Yes, well, yes I did. I brought Noah.
- 1:27Speaker 2: He's our new acquisition specialist and I'm excited to introduce him.
- 1:31Speaker 2: He's a football coach too, so you want to kind
- 1:34Speaker 2: of introduce yourself and you know, let us know about
- 1:37Speaker 2: your role at Dungeons.
- 1:39Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:39Speaker 5: So, hey, everybody, I know, I'm football coach here at Bartlesville,
- 1:45Speaker 5: I coach inside backers. I also work at Dungeons Toyota.
- 1:47Speaker 5: I'm the acquisition specialist. So all I'm doing is looking
- 1:51Speaker 5: for great use vehicles to buy to.
- 1:54Speaker 4: To increase our use inventory. So we're we're looking for everything.
- 1:58Speaker 5: Inventory is type, but it's great and we're being extremely
- 2:01Speaker 5: aggressive with offers right now.
- 2:03Speaker 2: Yeah, like you said, inventory is is tight right now,
- 2:06Speaker 2: just about across the board in the car industry, and
- 2:09Speaker 2: you know, lots of dealers will turn to the auctions
- 2:11Speaker 2: for that stuff. We really try to avoid that because
- 2:14Speaker 2: we find you know, if the car has made it
- 2:16Speaker 2: to the auction, typically there's a reason other reasons don't
- 2:19Speaker 2: want it, And so we're we're looking for local cars
- 2:23Speaker 2: because we want to be able to help local people
- 2:25Speaker 2: get out of their cars and then also help and
- 2:27Speaker 2: get into new cars, help those cars move on to
- 2:30Speaker 2: a home that fits them a little bit better at
- 2:32Speaker 2: that point. And so I know, Noah's job is just
- 2:35Speaker 2: kind of to be on the lookout for any vehicle
- 2:38Speaker 2: that makes sense for us, and you know, anybody that
- 2:40Speaker 2: we can help out, and there's just about anything we're
- 2:43Speaker 2: we're happy to put a bit on these days. You know,
- 2:46Speaker 2: do you kind of want to walk us through what
- 2:48Speaker 2: a typical day looks like for you?
- 2:51Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 2:51Speaker 5: Absolutely, So typical day, Get to the building, go through
- 2:56Speaker 5: We are a Kelly Bluebook instant cash offer participating, So
- 3:00Speaker 5: I look at any of those that might have come
- 3:02Speaker 5: in from the night before, get contact all those people, uh,
- 3:06Speaker 5: you know, and then after that, I'm looking Service Drive.
- 3:09Speaker 5: Is there any vehicles going through service that you know
- 3:12Speaker 5: we'd want to take a look at we'd be interested
- 3:14Speaker 5: in purchasing.
- 3:16Speaker 4: Get to talk to all those people. It's always great.
- 3:18Speaker 5: I see a lot of people I know, so it's
- 3:19Speaker 5: always nice to see familiar faces.
- 3:21Speaker 4: People of Bartlesville. Are so kind.
- 3:24Speaker 5: And then after that, you know, I'm I'm looking on
- 3:26Speaker 5: the internet. I'm looking on you know, auto trader, maybe Facebook, marketplace,
- 3:30Speaker 5: anything local, just to help people who are selling their vehicle,
- 3:33Speaker 5: because we can make the process a lot faster and
- 3:38Speaker 5: simpler than you know, maybe Facebook marketplace or auto trader.
- 3:42Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I know a lot of people run into
- 3:45Speaker 2: issues lots of times. You know, typically you can get
- 3:47Speaker 2: a higher value sometimes from Facebook Marketplace, but lots of
- 3:50Speaker 2: times that leads to you put in your car out there.
- 3:53Speaker 2: It's out there for months, you're not able to sell it,
- 3:56Speaker 2: you know, and then you're lower in the price, and
- 3:58Speaker 2: ultimately you get back down to a simil or price
- 4:00Speaker 2: to what you're looking at, just so that you can
- 4:02Speaker 2: move it eventually. And so we try to make that
- 4:05Speaker 2: process a little quicker and easier for people so that
- 4:07Speaker 2: you know, you know, you can get your money with
- 4:09Speaker 2: him the next day or two, and you know you're
- 4:12Speaker 2: gonna get it quick. You're using a reputable source. You're
- 4:14Speaker 2: not going to some shady, you know.
- 4:18Speaker 3: Place where you're just meeting up with somebody you've never
- 4:21Speaker 3: met before.
- 4:21Speaker 2: And you know, you know, we have Noah and you
- 4:24Speaker 2: know the brand backs him fully and he does a
- 4:26Speaker 2: great job with everything. So I'm very excited to have
- 4:30Speaker 2: him here with us. And you know, I'm very excited
- 4:33Speaker 2: about the football season. He's got me hyped up about it,
- 4:36Speaker 2: and he showed me some videos and they look like
- 4:39Speaker 2: they're going to be really good. So, you know, how's
- 4:41Speaker 2: how's your experience been with the football team this year?
- 4:44Speaker 4: Man, it's been great.
- 4:45Speaker 5: I'm super proud of these dudes, how hard they're working.
- 4:49Speaker 3: You know.
- 4:49Speaker 5: Really it's there's great kids, great teachers, great administrators, great parents,
- 4:55Speaker 5: and really a great staff of coaches.
- 4:57Speaker 4: And I'm very happy to be here and I'm excited
- 5:00Speaker 4: to see what the future holds for us.
- 5:01Speaker 2: Yeah, is there any any particular players I'm kind of
- 5:05Speaker 2: putting you on the spot here and I don't will
- 5:07Speaker 2: you to leave any of them out, but any particular
- 5:10Speaker 2: players we should be excited for this year?
- 5:12Speaker 3: Uh?
- 5:13Speaker 5: You know one thing I'd say, I mean, look at
- 5:15Speaker 5: all of them, but uh, I feel like we have.
- 5:17Speaker 4: A really good senior class.
- 5:19Speaker 3: Uh.
- 5:19Speaker 4: These dudes have worked super hard.
- 5:21Speaker 5: They've been through a lot, you know, through the past,
- 5:23Speaker 5: so our our seniors definitely they're coming in with something
- 5:26Speaker 5: to prove. They don't want to They don't want to
- 5:29Speaker 5: be in that rebuilding phase.
- 5:30Speaker 4: They want to win now because it is their last year.
- 5:32Speaker 4: And I'm super proud of those dudes.
- 5:34Speaker 3: And then all of our.
- 5:34Speaker 4: Underclassmen as well. We've got a lot of leaders in
- 5:37Speaker 4: our younger classes.
- 5:39Speaker 2: And what does the preparation kind of look like leading
- 5:42Speaker 2: up to the season to you know, be ready to
- 5:45Speaker 2: go when that time comes.
- 5:47Speaker 5: You know where we are just finishing up our summer workouts.
- 5:50Speaker 5: Today was our last real workout. We'll be testing next
- 5:53Speaker 5: week to see to measure how much better these guys
- 5:56Speaker 5: got during the summer. And then here in a few weeks,
- 5:59Speaker 5: I believe August third, we start our fall camp. So
- 6:02Speaker 5: we start practice and we start preparation. So five point
- 6:05Speaker 5: thirty in the morning, that's when we practice, and we're
- 6:08Speaker 5: just gonna start getting after it.
- 6:09Speaker 2: Yeah, and you know, I bet this is one of
- 6:12Speaker 2: the most exciting times, you know, being able to see
- 6:15Speaker 2: how much they've grown. You know, me being an athlete
- 6:18Speaker 2: in high school and in college, and I know you
- 6:19Speaker 2: were an athlete in high school and in college too,
- 6:22Speaker 2: and you know.
- 6:22Speaker 3: That feeling of being able to grow over.
- 6:24Speaker 2: The summer and coming into a new season and feeling
- 6:27Speaker 2: like you're at the top of your game.
- 6:28Speaker 3: And I bet that's exciting to watch as a coach.
- 6:30Speaker 5: Oh absolutely, just it's not even just the physical aspects
- 6:34Speaker 5: of strength and how fast and you know, how high
- 6:37Speaker 5: we can jump.
- 6:38Speaker 4: It's also the mental change. You see these dudes' attitudes
- 6:41Speaker 4: starting to change.
- 6:42Speaker 5: They want to win, They're getting more mentally tough, more resilient,
- 6:46Speaker 5: and that's been very impressive watch.
- 6:48Speaker 2: It's a super cool and I think your first game
- 6:50Speaker 2: is on the.
- 6:52Speaker 5: Twenty eighth, twenty eighth of August.
- 6:55Speaker 2: Twenty eighth of August, Yes, so that'll be Is that
- 6:58Speaker 2: a home game, do you know?
- 6:59Speaker 4: Home game against skytok Okay?
- 7:01Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, everyone show up for that.
- 7:02Speaker 2: Let's let's make our Bruins proud and you know, support them,
- 7:05Speaker 2: and we're super excited to see what they can do
- 7:07Speaker 2: this year. Hopefully they can get that one and get
- 7:10Speaker 2: many more after that. Yes, absolutely, so, I know you're
- 7:14Speaker 2: confident about them going into this year. And then you know,
- 7:17Speaker 2: I also wanted to touch on a little bit, you know,
- 7:20Speaker 2: I know we're trying to use your role as a
- 7:23Speaker 2: way to kind of make it where you know, even
- 7:26Speaker 2: when inventory is tight, we want people in the community
- 7:29Speaker 2: to be confident that they can get any vehicle they're
- 7:32Speaker 2: looking for. And so we've been talking a lot and
- 7:35Speaker 2: working a lot on you know, making waves and pipelines
- 7:39Speaker 2: that you know, know what, can find cars for customers
- 7:42Speaker 2: that are looking for specific use cars, similar.
- 7:45Speaker 3: To what we do on the new side.
- 7:47Speaker 2: I do a lot of the new car management of
- 7:49Speaker 2: the inventory, and a lot of that is trading for
- 7:52Speaker 2: people and you know, preferencing in these different avenues that
- 7:56Speaker 2: I have, and I know we're trying to set that
- 7:58Speaker 2: up for Noah so that people that come in and say, hey,
- 8:00Speaker 2: I want this specific used car, he can go out
- 8:03Speaker 2: and find it. I think you actually have a couple
- 8:06Speaker 2: people that are looking for cars right now, and I
- 8:09Speaker 2: wanted you to go ahead and shout those out just
- 8:11Speaker 2: so if anyone does have these cars in the community,
- 8:14Speaker 2: we would love for you to come by see if
- 8:16Speaker 2: maybe we can make something work for you, get you
- 8:18Speaker 2: into a new car, or even just buy the car
- 8:20Speaker 2: from you and then we can help it find a
- 8:22Speaker 2: new home pretty quickly there. But if you want to
- 8:25Speaker 2: go ahead and let the people know, you know what
- 8:27Speaker 2: cars we are specifically looking for right now.
- 8:30Speaker 5: Yeah, absolutely, I've got a customer looking for a twenty
- 8:33Speaker 5: twenty GMC yukon fifty to sixty thousand miles. I've got
- 8:38Speaker 5: a lot of people looking for those twenty twenty two
- 8:40Speaker 5: to twenty twenty four rab foors, and then twenty fifteen
- 8:44Speaker 5: to twenty twenty one hundreds, and then I have three
- 8:48Speaker 5: right now looking for any you know, four runners. So
- 8:51Speaker 5: if any of those are sitting in your parking lot,
- 8:53Speaker 5: you've got a buyer.
- 8:54Speaker 3: Good luck. I'm fighting a four run yea, that's the
- 8:57Speaker 3: big thing.
- 8:58Speaker 1: Yeah, yes, you know, the four runner was reintroduced basically
- 9:04Speaker 1: and totally redone for this a model year, and it's
- 9:08Speaker 1: a very popular vehicle.
- 9:10Speaker 2: Yes, yes, especially you know, it's interesting to see because
- 9:13Speaker 2: if you look at that list of cars, you know
- 9:15Speaker 2: you got the rap for twenty twenty two to twenty
- 9:17Speaker 2: twenty four. They just completely redid the RAB four. I
- 9:20Speaker 2: have one of the new rap Fors. I just got it.
- 9:23Speaker 2: It is an incredible car. But I also know a
- 9:25Speaker 2: lot of people, the people that are looking for this
- 9:27Speaker 2: car that like the older generation and they want to
- 9:30Speaker 2: be able to get into that.
- 9:31Speaker 3: And so that's why they're looking for that. Similar with
- 9:33Speaker 3: the Tundra.
- 9:34Speaker 2: Looking at the last generation of Tundras is in that
- 9:37Speaker 2: twenty fifteen to twenty twenty one year and four Runner customers.
- 9:41Speaker 2: Some of them do like the older body style. I
- 9:43Speaker 2: will say for me personally, I like the new body
- 9:46Speaker 2: styles on all of them. But they are great purchases,
- 9:49Speaker 2: and you know, I know we can get a lot
- 9:52Speaker 2: of value for those cars right now, or really any
- 9:54Speaker 2: kind of Toyota Honda, even if you're going too four Chevy.
- 9:58Speaker 3: You know, we're giving a lot for those.
- 10:00Speaker 2: I know I wasn't on our list, but just yesterday
- 10:04Speaker 2: we had a customer come in and she was looking
- 10:06Speaker 2: specifically for She was going to sell us her car,
- 10:10Speaker 2: but she was looking for a used Honda, which we
- 10:12Speaker 2: didn't have on the lot. And that's one of my
- 10:13Speaker 2: favorite things, is being able to get someone there and
- 10:16Speaker 2: being able to explain to them that, you know, just
- 10:19Speaker 2: because we don't have it on our lot right now,
- 10:21Speaker 2: if you give us the chance, we will do everything
- 10:23Speaker 2: in our power to go out and find you that
- 10:25Speaker 2: vehicle because we want to make the process easier for you.
- 10:28Speaker 2: We don't want you to have to, you know, go
- 10:30Speaker 2: shop at five different dealerships and find this one or
- 10:34Speaker 2: that one, and you know, we can know specifically what
- 10:36Speaker 2: you're looking for new or use. We have a lot
- 10:40Speaker 2: of avenues to go out and get that car for
- 10:42Speaker 2: you and make that buying experience a little bit easier.
- 10:45Speaker 2: And that's really our whole brand is keeping it simple
- 10:49Speaker 2: and making it easier for you. That's why we got
- 10:51Speaker 2: rid of the dock fee. We want prices to be straightforward, upfront, easy,
- 10:56Speaker 2: and we want to be able to do the same
- 10:58Speaker 2: thing with cars even if we don't have it on
- 11:00Speaker 2: the lot because one thing I've noticed, you know, I
- 11:03Speaker 2: worked at a different dealership that had a lot of
- 11:05Speaker 2: cars for a while, and still even at those dealerships
- 11:09Speaker 2: that have tons of inventory, you're gonna have lots of
- 11:12Speaker 2: cars that just aren't the right fit for the customer.
- 11:15Speaker 2: And we want to be able to make it where
- 11:17Speaker 2: we can get any of those cars for you.
- 11:19Speaker 1: That is the Dungeons difference. As you were saying, well,
- 11:21Speaker 1: you know, uh, the family owned business. You guys are
- 11:25Speaker 1: a small hometown dealer and you've just you've done such
- 11:30Speaker 1: a great job of building relationships here in the community. Uh,
- 11:34Speaker 1: you know, through through your your your sponsorships that you
- 11:37Speaker 1: do you know again, Dungeon's Toyota Oklahoma's oldest Toyota dealer.
- 11:41Speaker 1: Uh So that's a that's a distinction that you guys
- 11:44Speaker 1: have that you hold an honor. And I can tell you,
- 11:48Speaker 1: you know, kind of my own personal experience with my
- 11:51Speaker 1: family whenever you were in the Ford business and also
- 11:54Speaker 1: in the Toyota business on my on my dad's side,
- 11:58Speaker 1: my grand my grandparents, they bought every single vehicle from
- 12:03Speaker 1: Dungeons and they were dedicated to you. My grandfather he
- 12:11Speaker 1: had a nineteen eighty two Toyota pickup truck and believe
- 12:16Speaker 1: it or not, that thing still runs.
- 12:19Speaker 3: Yeah. No, we'd probably take it on trade. No. No,
- 12:25Speaker 3: it's a four by four.
- 12:26Speaker 1: I mean it's it's it's got a little bit of
- 12:28Speaker 1: rus problems now, but it's sitting in my sister's house.
- 12:32Speaker 1: But you know, that just talks about the differences that
- 12:36Speaker 1: you guys make. You're willing to go that extra mile
- 12:41Speaker 1: to make that relationship better. Yeah, because you know, nobody,
- 12:47Speaker 1: let's just be honest, nobody enjoys going to a car dealership, SAX,
- 12:52Speaker 1: except for maybe.
- 12:52Speaker 3: The collar exactly.
- 12:54Speaker 2: I always tell my girlfriend that I would love to,
- 12:57Speaker 2: you know, just stop into a dealership really quick and
- 12:59Speaker 2: see the experience. But of course that's me just doing research.
- 13:02Speaker 2: But I know, you know, that's why so many of
- 13:05Speaker 2: these you know, carvanas and stuff like that where you
- 13:08Speaker 2: avoid the dealership are popping up right and you know,
- 13:11Speaker 2: but I think through that you lose a lot of
- 13:13Speaker 2: that connection that was so important for my family from
- 13:16Speaker 2: day one, where it's like the connection to the community.
- 13:19Speaker 2: You know, I've heard my dad's told a story about
- 13:22Speaker 2: you know, we got into the car business right before
- 13:24Speaker 2: the Great Depression and at the time, you know, everybody
- 13:28Speaker 2: was struggling, and my family really stepped up in the
- 13:31Speaker 2: community and that really helped our brand, but it also
- 13:33Speaker 2: allowed them to help people in the community.
- 13:35Speaker 3: Because of the position they were currently in.
- 13:37Speaker 2: And you know, that's something we want to continue for
- 13:40Speaker 2: generations beyond even me, and we've been working towards and
- 13:44Speaker 2: doing since then. And so you know, you lose that
- 13:47Speaker 2: human connection when you're going to these bigger conglomerates, and
- 13:52Speaker 2: that is one thing that you know, concerns us. But
- 13:55Speaker 2: we also see that the dealer model is what has
- 13:58Speaker 2: pushed these customers, and that's why we really want to
- 14:02Speaker 2: flip the dealer model on the head. It's head where
- 14:04Speaker 2: it's you know, it's not about us, you know, bringing
- 14:08Speaker 2: you in and spending hours negotiating and whittling you down.
- 14:11Speaker 2: We want to make it as simple, straight forward as possible.
- 14:14Speaker 2: And if that's us needing to go out and get
- 14:16Speaker 2: a car for you, we'll go do it. If that's us,
- 14:19Speaker 2: you know, having the right car on the lot and
- 14:20Speaker 2: just making that experience as fast and easy as possible,
- 14:24Speaker 2: that's what we want to do for you. And we
- 14:26Speaker 2: want you to come back and your kids to come back.
- 14:29Speaker 2: And you know, one thing from the dealership I worked
- 14:32Speaker 2: out in Tulsa a lot. You know, they'd come in and,
- 14:35Speaker 2: you know, lots of people. I'd say, my name's William Dudge,
- 14:38Speaker 2: is nice to meet you, and they'd be like, what.
- 14:41Speaker 3: Are you doing here?
- 14:42Speaker 2: Why?
- 14:45Speaker 3: I'm like, I'm getting experience elsewhere.
- 14:47Speaker 2: But they would tell me stories, you know, even my
- 14:50Speaker 2: girlfriend's dad, you know, I remember what he found and
- 14:52Speaker 2: when I met him for the first time, he was like,
- 14:54Speaker 2: I got my first car from your score here in Tulsa.
- 14:58Speaker 2: And it's just it's great to hear the those stories
- 15:00Speaker 2: through time and know that we're still here helping the
- 15:03Speaker 2: community and you know, we'll keep working on making it
- 15:06Speaker 2: as easy for everybody here as possible and doing as
- 15:09Speaker 2: much as we can to you know, change that car
- 15:12Speaker 2: buying experience for people so that they can still come
- 15:14Speaker 2: into the dealership, they can still have relationships with people
- 15:17Speaker 2: like Noah and our other our sales consultants, so that
- 15:21Speaker 2: they know if they ever you know, just need to
- 15:23Speaker 2: sell a car, they can call Noah, if they're ever
- 15:25Speaker 2: looking to you know, trade in. They have someone they
- 15:27Speaker 2: can call if they're having an issue with their car,
- 15:29Speaker 2: because that's one thing you don't get from a Carbona
- 15:32Speaker 2: or even a bigger dealership group is you call in
- 15:36Speaker 2: to your salesperson and say, hey, you know, I'm having
- 15:38Speaker 2: an issue, or you call Carbana. I don't know, I
- 15:41Speaker 2: guess a helpline or something. You say I'm having this
- 15:45Speaker 2: issue with my car. They're gonna say, well, you know,
- 15:49Speaker 2: service is this number. You know, I saw it at
- 15:52Speaker 2: other dealerships and you know here, you know, it's like
- 15:54Speaker 2: service is right there.
- 15:56Speaker 3: I'm gonna go, I'll.
- 15:57Speaker 2: Go set you an appointment, I'll go get everything set
- 15:59Speaker 2: up for you. And that's we really want to get
- 16:01Speaker 2: the processes in place so that you feel like you
- 16:04Speaker 2: have a helping hand through every step of ownership and
- 16:07Speaker 2: not just the buying experience, and then it's like see
- 16:11Speaker 2: you later, you know.
- 16:13Speaker 1: William and Noah both one thing that again, you were
- 16:16Speaker 1: talking about turning the dealership model on its head and
- 16:21Speaker 1: really not focusing in on what all the other dealerships do.
- 16:26Speaker 1: Dungeons is very good. As you said, you've eliminated the
- 16:30Speaker 1: dock feed. Your salespeople are non commissioned, correct, So that
- 16:36Speaker 1: takes a lot of pressure I think off of your
- 16:39Speaker 1: sales staff, it does, you know, but that's still you know,
- 16:44Speaker 1: for the general public again not enjoying going to a
- 16:47Speaker 1: car deater. This is a selling point for you guys.
- 16:50Speaker 1: It really is that your sales staff are professionally trained.
- 16:55Speaker 1: They are trained to make that connection. If you don't
- 16:59Speaker 1: have it, give us a chance. We'll try to find it, exactly.
- 17:01Speaker 1: Good luck finding a fore runner. Yeah, but that that
- 17:06Speaker 1: is really the Dungeon's difference is that you don't have
- 17:11Speaker 1: that pressure filled you know atmosphere that is going on exactly.
- 17:17Speaker 2: And I was I was talking to somebody just the yesterday,
- 17:21Speaker 2: I believe, and they were looking for a raft four.
- 17:24Speaker 2: We have one in coming that fits exactly what he's
- 17:26Speaker 2: looking for, but it is pre sold. Most of our
- 17:29Speaker 2: raft force right now are selling before they hit the lot, sadly,
- 17:33Speaker 2: but we do have some that, like I bought mine.
- 17:35Speaker 3: So people could test drive. So if you do want
- 17:37Speaker 3: to test drive a raw for yeah, that's the only
- 17:40Speaker 3: region you buy it. Well, I will say, yeah, it
- 17:43Speaker 3: was a factor, but it is. It's such a great experience.
- 17:46Speaker 2: But the big thing, you know, I'm talking to him
- 17:48Speaker 2: on the phone and he lives in a Wasso and
- 17:50Speaker 2: he at the end mentions, you know, well, since you
- 17:53Speaker 2: guys are going to have to do the same thing
- 17:54Speaker 2: that these Tulsa dealers will do and go out and
- 17:56Speaker 2: get one, you know, I'm technically twenty minutes closer. And
- 18:01Speaker 2: I said, you know, I completely understand. But you know,
- 18:05Speaker 2: going to a different dealer, you're gonna have doc fees,
- 18:08Speaker 2: they're gonna want, they're gonna add on stuff. Typically they'll
- 18:11Speaker 2: have some kind of protection package that is already preloaded
- 18:15Speaker 2: on and they're gonna make you buy that, and that's
- 18:17Speaker 2: what you're gonna end up negotiating. And I'm like, with us,
- 18:20Speaker 2: I can give you a number and it's gonna be
- 18:22Speaker 2: that number, and there's not going to be any other
- 18:25Speaker 2: you know, varying factors or any other little gimmicks or games.
- 18:29Speaker 2: It's just gonna be straightforward. We'll get you in and
- 18:31Speaker 2: out in an hour. And he's like, well, that might
- 18:34Speaker 2: be worth giving you guys a shot. And you know,
- 18:37Speaker 2: we really want to be able to bring that to
- 18:40Speaker 2: mostly Bartlesviille people because we understand that. You know, sometimes
- 18:46Speaker 2: it looks like they have more cars over there, and
- 18:48Speaker 2: I looked this morning and they don't have a single
- 18:51Speaker 2: wrap four on the ground available either, And so we
- 18:55Speaker 2: try to offer different ways of being able to get
- 18:58Speaker 2: you that exact And you know, Noah plays a big
- 19:02Speaker 2: role in that because the used car inventory, like we've
- 19:05Speaker 2: said is is tight, and you know, he's very good
- 19:08Speaker 2: at finding cars for people. I've already seen it a
- 19:12Speaker 2: couple of times. I think he's he's been enjoying it,
- 19:15Speaker 2: getting rolling.
- 19:16Speaker 3: And you know how long.
- 19:17Speaker 2: You've been here with us for three months, I believe, Yeah,
- 19:21Speaker 2: so he's just getting started, and I know he's only
- 19:23Speaker 2: going to get better, especially with his background as an athlete.
- 19:27Speaker 3: You know.
- 19:27Speaker 2: Yeah, we tend to strive to just continuously improve, which
- 19:31Speaker 2: is a big part of sparks for us. Kaizen is
- 19:34Speaker 2: a Toyota term that means constant improvement, and I know
- 19:39Speaker 2: that's a big thing for us. And you know, that's
- 19:41Speaker 2: why Noah was such a good candidate for this role
- 19:44Speaker 2: because we knew we could see that, you know, coming
- 19:47Speaker 2: from his athletic background, you know, constantly trying to improve
- 19:52Speaker 2: on what he's doing and find different ways to buy
- 19:56Speaker 2: cars for people was going to be something that he'd
- 19:59Speaker 2: be always thinking of about.
- 20:00Speaker 1: It and already plugged into the community, already plugged in
- 20:03Speaker 1: the community with the high school football program. So that's
- 20:08Speaker 1: that really is incredible. So you know, you guys have
- 20:12Speaker 1: a difficult job, and you know it's it can be
- 20:17Speaker 1: very fun, it can be very rewarding, especially when we
- 20:20Speaker 1: have those repeat customers. The word gets out about the
- 20:26Speaker 1: good buy the good car buying experience.
- 20:29Speaker 3: Do you see it?
- 20:30Speaker 1: You see it on social media all the time for
- 20:32Speaker 1: somebody's just a keyboard warrior going on about some dealer
- 20:37Speaker 1: doing this, doing that, doing this, doing that. I have
- 20:40Speaker 1: to say, I'm being one honest, and it's not because
- 20:42Speaker 1: it's you guys's program right now.
- 20:45Speaker 3: Honest.
- 20:46Speaker 1: I see comments like that for nearly every dealership out there.
- 20:55Speaker 1: I cannot recall one single instance literally, Yeah, well I
- 21:01Speaker 1: see that type of negative feedback on social media about Dungeons.
- 21:06Speaker 2: Well, and that's why, you know, we've worked on our
- 21:09Speaker 2: processes to make sure that it will be simple. But
- 21:12Speaker 2: it's the same like that for everybody too, because you know,
- 21:16Speaker 2: lots of times there's inconsistency in dealerships and that's why
- 21:20Speaker 2: you'll see some dealerships that have.
- 21:22Speaker 3: These raving reviews, but then they do also have those reviews.
- 21:25Speaker 2: And one thing we've worked really hard for and we've
- 21:27Speaker 2: really seen payoff for us recently is you know, making
- 21:30Speaker 2: sure it's always going to be simple, straightforward, fast for people.
- 21:34Speaker 2: And that's why, Yeah, if you look at our reviews lately,
- 21:37Speaker 2: and it's great, and I'm so grateful for the people
- 21:40Speaker 2: to actually, you know, take the time because I know
- 21:42Speaker 2: it takes time out of your day go online put
- 21:45Speaker 2: those reviews in. But I'm so grateful for them just
- 21:49Speaker 2: explaining the process and the what they went through at
- 21:53Speaker 2: Dungeons and how easy it was, because that's really the
- 21:57Speaker 2: best advertising we can have, and you know, because it's
- 22:00Speaker 2: we really want to know what your experience was like
- 22:03Speaker 2: at Dungeons and I tell people if you've ever had
- 22:06Speaker 2: a bad experience in the past, yesterday, month ago, you know,
- 22:11Speaker 2: twenty years ago, you know, even at the store in Tulsa.
- 22:14Speaker 2: You know, I want to know about it because that's
- 22:16Speaker 2: the only way we can continue to improve.
- 22:19Speaker 3: You know, we want to.
- 22:20Speaker 2: Make sure that every I is dotted, every T is crossed,
- 22:24Speaker 2: so that it is going to be the best experience
- 22:27Speaker 2: that you have ever.
- 22:28Speaker 3: Had, and if it's not, we're not doing our job right.
- 22:30Speaker 1: So and if something is having an issue, it's really
- 22:33Speaker 1: good to know that the boss, the owner, the principal
- 22:36Speaker 1: dealer is right there the office on the showroom, SUN
- 22:41Speaker 1: is there too, so you know, I can say if
- 22:45Speaker 1: SUNS has a bad experience, you're probably going to tell Dad.
- 22:49Speaker 3: If Dad is going to.
- 22:51Speaker 1: Take care of that, You're not going to get that
- 22:53Speaker 1: at a corporately owned to membership.
- 22:55Speaker 3: That is one thing that is great.
- 22:57Speaker 2: You know, I sit in the office right new to him,
- 23:00Speaker 2: and I sit out of den I'm sorry. Luckily I
- 23:06Speaker 2: have my uncle Bruce sitting in between us. Yeah, so
- 23:10Speaker 2: he's in between but yeah, and Noah, Noah deals with
- 23:13Speaker 2: Bruce on a daily basis just because he's our used
- 23:16Speaker 2: car manager. He handles pretty much all the us, so
- 23:19Speaker 2: they're they're the two that are putting their heads together.
- 23:21Speaker 2: I know that's been a fun experience for you. Yeah,
- 23:27Speaker 2: he's a good guy, So yeah, I know we it
- 23:30Speaker 2: is definitely a family owned and run dealership, and you know,
- 23:34Speaker 2: we're we're really.
- 23:35Speaker 3: Proud of that.
- 23:36Speaker 2: You know, I just working with my dad every day.
- 23:40Speaker 2: I was talking to someone about this the other day
- 23:42Speaker 2: when we hosted the Business after Hours, and she was
- 23:45Speaker 2: telling me about, you know, talking to people and how
- 23:49Speaker 2: they're always like, must be hard working with family because
- 23:51Speaker 2: she had worked with her mom for years and you know,
- 23:55Speaker 2: just like her, it's and she said that it was
- 24:00Speaker 2: honestly way easier than anyone ever thought.
- 24:03Speaker 3: And you know, that's one thing I've learned.
- 24:05Speaker 2: Is when I first got in the car business, everybody
- 24:08Speaker 2: was like, that's gonna be hard. You know, working with
- 24:11Speaker 2: your dad, that's a lot of pressure. But he does
- 24:14Speaker 2: do a really good job of coaching me. And you know,
- 24:16Speaker 2: of course there are times we're gonna butt heads and
- 24:19Speaker 2: disagree on stuff.
- 24:20Speaker 3: I love it. I love that well that happens.
- 24:22Speaker 1: I mean, obviously this is a family owned radio station
- 24:24Speaker 1: as well, so you know that just makes such a
- 24:28Speaker 1: huge difference, and I think it makes a difference for
- 24:32Speaker 1: your customers as well. So William and Noah again, you're
- 24:36Speaker 1: looking for you used in good condition raft wos, tundras
- 24:41Speaker 1: and four run runners all right, see if you have that.
- 24:44Speaker 1: Do you have any specials going on? We got about
- 24:46Speaker 1: three minutes left here, So what's what kind of specialist
- 24:49Speaker 1: do they have?
- 24:49Speaker 3: Do you have you do? The big thing right now
- 24:51Speaker 3: is trucks.
- 24:53Speaker 2: You know, we got great deals on trucks two point
- 24:55Speaker 2: nine to nine up to forty eight months on tacomas
- 24:58Speaker 2: and if you're looking for an SR, they actually have
- 25:01Speaker 2: an additional five hundred dollars off if you're financing with
- 25:04Speaker 2: Toyota Financial. And we got a couple of Grade US
- 25:07Speaker 2: our fives right now. We got two white ones I believe,
- 25:11Speaker 2: a black and a gray one, and like I said,
- 25:14Speaker 2: if those aren't the colors for you, let me know,
- 25:16Speaker 2: I'll go find you one. But they're priced incredibly online
- 25:20Speaker 2: and we're super aggressive on those right now. And then
- 25:22Speaker 2: also on tundras, if you're looking for a full size,
- 25:25Speaker 2: we got two point nine to nine all the way
- 25:27Speaker 2: up to seventy two months. And if you decide not
- 25:29Speaker 2: to take that rate, you actually get one thousand dollars off.
- 25:33Speaker 3: So really pushing the trucks this month.
- 25:36Speaker 2: I know there are a lot of people looking for
- 25:37Speaker 2: trucks at good prices right now, and that's something that
- 25:41Speaker 2: we can really deliver on in these coming weeks. So
- 25:45Speaker 2: definitely reach out if you're looking for any kind of
- 25:47Speaker 2: vehicle Toyota wise.
- 25:49Speaker 3: Like I said, if it's new, I'll go get it
- 25:52Speaker 3: for you.
- 25:52Speaker 2: If it's used, Noah, we'll go find it for you
- 25:55Speaker 2: and just give us a shot. We're gonna keep you
- 25:57Speaker 2: updated on our process. We won't be calling you every
- 26:00Speaker 2: day blowing you up, but if you let us know
- 26:02Speaker 2: your three months out, we'll make sure we have the
- 26:03Speaker 2: right car there in three months. If it's tomorrow, we're
- 26:06Speaker 2: gonna do everything we can today to get you that car.
- 26:08Speaker 1: So well, this has been a very enjoyable conversation with
- 26:11Speaker 1: the younger generations. You know, normally whenever I do a
- 26:15Speaker 1: car talk with with Brad, I'm the youngest one in
- 26:17Speaker 1: the room. Today that's certainly not the case, So we
- 26:20Speaker 1: appreciate you. William Dudges and no will what's your last name?
- 26:23Speaker 4: Wilson?
- 26:24Speaker 1: No Wilson, who is the used car acquisition person for
- 26:28Speaker 1: Dungeons Toyota also on the coaching staff at Bartlesville High
- 26:32Speaker 1: School for the football season.
- 26:34Speaker 3: Go out, support the Bruins.
- 26:36Speaker 1: Go out tonight, support the Dungeons Toyota Indians by the way,
- 26:39Speaker 1: at Bill Dungeons Memorial Stadium. They'll be playing in the
- 26:42Speaker 1: sam Musual World Series. It's a do or done situation
- 26:46Speaker 1: for the for the Indians tonight, so head on out
- 26:49Speaker 1: there as well. That again, that just shows you the
- 26:52Speaker 1: community importance that Dungeons has for us. William, tell everybody
- 26:58Speaker 1: where you're located, and I know you're going to be
- 27:00Speaker 1: at the dealership right after this.
- 27:02Speaker 2: Try be at nineteen eleven Southeast Washington Boulevard. Come on
- 27:06Speaker 2: by if you got a car to sell. As for Noah,
- 27:09Speaker 2: he's ready to go. We'll be there just working our
- 27:12Speaker 2: butts off today. And if you're looking for anything, let
- 27:15Speaker 2: us know as well. So go Bruins, Go Indians, and
