Latest / The Mark Simone Show / Hour 2: Is NYC losing residents?
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Mister New York marks them upon seven to ten wor.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Well, we'll get to Mom, Donnie and more coming up
- 0:14Speaker 2: this hour. Leticia James, who's facing serious criminal charges James Comy,
- 0:20Speaker 2: facing serious criminal charges, are now in court trying to
- 0:25Speaker 2: get the US attorney disqualified. Lawyers for Comy and Leticia
- 0:30Speaker 2: James are arguing today the criminal cases against them should
- 0:34Speaker 2: be tossed because President Trump's hand picked prosecutor is illegitimate. Illegitimate,
- 0:41Speaker 2: they say, Now, of course, this makes absolutely no sense.
- 0:45Speaker 2: They're claiming they've been targeted by Trump because of their
- 0:48Speaker 2: past investigations into Trump. Well they're claiming to see that's
- 0:53Speaker 2: not going to work. If they're claiming they've been targeted
- 0:57Speaker 2: because they targeted him, that doesn't really hold up, doesn't
- 1:01Speaker 2: pass the Laft test. They both pled not guilty, and
- 1:06Speaker 2: they'll try to This is a pretty good indication that
- 1:09Speaker 2: they don't have a strong defense. If they're trying to
- 1:11Speaker 2: get the prosecutor removed, trying to claim their political targets
- 1:16Speaker 2: rather than argue the case, it means it's a pretty
- 1:19Speaker 2: good case against them. So zorin Mam Donni is back
- 1:23Speaker 2: from Puerto Rico, where he was at that Democratic I
- 1:27Speaker 2: don't know what you call that thing. It's a conference
- 1:29Speaker 2: after every election all the Democrats in New York State,
- 1:34Speaker 2: they head to Puerto Rico for conference. But as Curtis
- 1:40Speaker 2: would call it, whining, dining, pocket lining. All the lobbyists
- 1:43Speaker 2: happened to be there at the same time, all the
- 1:45Speaker 2: special interest groups happen to be there at the same time.
- 1:48Speaker 2: So you do the math. But Mamdanni is back. He's
- 1:51Speaker 2: got a chief of staff who's a crazy socialist. He's
- 1:55Speaker 2: got a first deputy mayor. That's the most important thing.
- 2:00Speaker 2: First deputy mayor is the guy that actually runs or
- 2:02Speaker 2: gal or guy or runs city hall. Adams had a
- 2:09Speaker 2: woman for deputy mayor, but the current one is Dean
- 2:14Speaker 2: full Land. He was Deblasio's first deputy mayor for years
- 2:19Speaker 2: and years and years. Now there's four other people that
- 2:21Speaker 2: have already been chosen that are from the Deblasio administration.
- 2:24Speaker 2: So it looks like you're going to get pretty much
- 2:27Speaker 2: what you got during the Deblasio administration, which was not good.
- 2:31Speaker 2: But we got through it all right. I mean, you know,
- 2:33Speaker 2: you remember those eight years. It was eight years of Deblasio.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Crime went up a little and went up in certain neighborhoods,
- 2:40Speaker 2: and there were problems here and there, but we got
- 2:43Speaker 2: through it just fine. And now the only problem is
- 2:47Speaker 2: you got a crazy city council. The election was not
- 2:51Speaker 2: good city council wise. You got more wacko left wing
- 2:54Speaker 2: kooks than the city council, just as you have in
- 2:56Speaker 2: the state legislature. And the problem is this Mam donnie
- 3:01Speaker 2: first Deputy Mayor Dean Fullane. One of the reasons he
- 3:04Speaker 2: might have been chosen. He's a big guy with the legislature.
- 3:07Speaker 2: He's the most connected, plugged in guy with that legislature
- 3:10Speaker 2: up there in Albany. So if they want to get
- 3:13Speaker 2: some tax increases or something past, this guy's got a
- 3:16Speaker 2: good shot at getting it done. So that's the only
- 3:19Speaker 2: big problem with this guy. Now, the free buses all
- 3:24Speaker 2: that stuff, of course, that was just silly and people
- 3:29Speaker 2: fell for it, Mam Donnie promising free buses. The mayor
- 3:32Speaker 2: has absolutely no control over the buses. They're run by
- 3:35Speaker 2: the state, by the MTA. Mayor has nothing to say
- 3:39Speaker 2: about it. Hockel said, you can't just take away this revenue.
- 3:42Speaker 2: We need it. She's not going to do it. Now.
- 3:44Speaker 2: You got to always be mad at Kathy Hockl who's
- 3:46Speaker 2: always screwing in you up. If she was going to
- 3:49Speaker 2: tell people that you can't have the free buses, it's
- 3:52Speaker 2: not going to happen. Why didn't she tell us during
- 3:54Speaker 2: the campaign. Why did she wait till after the election? Well,
- 3:57Speaker 2: because it's you know, that's what a hack Democrat does. Mom.
- 4:01Speaker 2: Donnie was asked about this, But you're not going to
- 4:03Speaker 2: get the free buses. I think the.
- 4:04Speaker 1: Governor and I share a belief that in making buses free,
- 4:08Speaker 1: we have to replace the revenue for the MTA. We
- 4:10Speaker 1: cannot simply demand that they do so without covering the
- 4:13Speaker 1: amount of money they would raise from faars. And that's
- 4:15Speaker 1: the cost of about seven hundred million dollars a year.
- 4:18Speaker 2: So yeah, if you're not going to get rid of
- 4:19Speaker 2: the fair you're going to have to replace it. With
- 4:22Speaker 2: it all comes down, you're going to have to pay
- 4:23Speaker 2: seven hundred million one way or another. Will he meet
- 4:27Speaker 2: with Trump?
- 4:28Speaker 1: Do you plan to call President Trump? I will be
- 4:30Speaker 1: reaching out to the White House and as we prepare
- 4:34Speaker 1: to actually take office, because this is a relationship that
- 4:36Speaker 1: will be critical to the success. So it wasn't just
- 4:38Speaker 1: a hypothetical scenario on our debate stage, they're actually going
- 4:41Speaker 1: to call him, what will you say? Well, I'll say
- 4:43Speaker 1: that I'm here to work for the benefit of everyone
- 4:45Speaker 1: that calls the city home, and that wherever there is
- 4:48Speaker 1: a possibility for working together towards that end, I'm ready,
- 4:51Speaker 1: and if it's to the expense of those New Yorkers,
- 4:53Speaker 1: I will fight it.
- 4:54Speaker 2: Yeah. So, now what does that mean? He won't call Trump.
- 4:57Speaker 2: He'll call the White House. He'll get some kind of meeting.
- 4:59Speaker 2: Most it'll be Chief of Staff Susie Wilds. She'll meet
- 5:02Speaker 2: with him. Then they'll see how that goes. If it
- 5:05Speaker 2: goes really well, maybe maybe there'll be a phone call
- 5:09Speaker 2: between the Trump and Mom Donnie. I doubt there'll be
- 5:12Speaker 2: a meeting because I don't think either of I don't
- 5:15Speaker 2: think either one of them wants a picture with the
- 5:17Speaker 2: other guy. It's not going to help Mom Donnie to
- 5:20Speaker 2: have a picture of Trump. Certainly not gonna help Trump
- 5:23Speaker 2: have a picture of Mom Donnie. But you never knows.
- 5:26Speaker 2: He's meeting with Susie Wiles. You never know what Trump
- 5:28Speaker 2: will do. He might just pop into the room. Ah,
- 5:30Speaker 2: there he is, my little communist. He might try to
- 5:34Speaker 2: come in and win him over. But I think they'll
- 5:36Speaker 2: let somebody meet with him first and see how it goes. Now,
- 5:39Speaker 2: will he keep Jessica tiss She was asked about this again.
- 5:42Speaker 1: No, I continue to be confident in the decision I've
- 5:46Speaker 1: made to retain her, and I look forward to the
- 5:47Speaker 1: conversation that we have. And the reason for my confidence
- 5:50Speaker 1: is that I see, amidst whatever disagreement there may be,
- 5:53Speaker 1: there is a common shared goal of delivering on public safety.
- 5:57Speaker 1: And even earlier, when you were asking me about the
- 5:59Speaker 1: potential of the National Guard, you know, the Police Commissioner
- 6:01Speaker 1: said very clearly, we do not need the National Guard
- 6:03Speaker 1: in New York City. The NYPD is here to create
- 6:05Speaker 1: that public safety and working together to deliver on her
- 6:09Speaker 1: record of reducing crime and accompanying that record with the
- 6:12Speaker 1: creation of a Department of Community Safety, these are the
- 6:14Speaker 1: things that excite me.
- 6:15Speaker 2: In now. It was pretty clear. He didn't say, well,
- 6:19Speaker 2: I might keep her.
- 6:20Speaker 1: He said, I continue to be confident in the decision
- 6:23Speaker 1: I've made to retain her.
- 6:25Speaker 2: Now that's pretty specific. I've made the decision to retain her,
- 6:28Speaker 2: so that means she's staying. However, got to put a
- 6:31Speaker 2: big asterisk on this. She's the police commissioner. If he
- 6:35Speaker 2: interferes with her, she'll leave. And also there's a deputy
- 6:39Speaker 2: mayor that's called the Deputy mayor of Public Safety. That
- 6:42Speaker 2: deputy mayor oversees the police commissioner. So if he puts
- 6:46Speaker 2: the wrong person in there, who Jessica Tish does not
- 6:49Speaker 2: want to work for or take orders from, then she'll leave.
- 6:53Speaker 2: So he says he's made the decision to retain her,
- 6:56Speaker 2: but there's things he could do that would make he
- 6:59Speaker 2: knows would make her leave, make her quit. And she's
- 7:02Speaker 2: one police commissioner that does not need the job, does
- 7:06Speaker 2: not need the job. She could leave at any time.
- 7:09Speaker 2: So as far as the police.
- 7:11Speaker 1: When we're talking about a response time that's closer to
- 7:13Speaker 1: sixteen minutes than when just five years ago it was
- 7:15Speaker 1: closer to ten. That is also something that is related
- 7:18Speaker 1: to us asking police officers to respond to nearly every
- 7:20Speaker 1: crisis we can think of. And it's time that we
- 7:23Speaker 1: understand the retention crisis is being related to a crisis
- 7:26Speaker 1: where we're asking police officers to respond to homelessness, to
- 7:29Speaker 1: mental health calls. It's time to actually allow them to
- 7:31Speaker 1: be police officers.
- 7:33Speaker 2: Now, we talked very fast and he talks about a
- 7:34Speaker 2: retention crisis in relation to the retention crisis and the
- 7:36Speaker 2: relation of that, and you don't always know what he's saying.
- 7:39Speaker 2: But I don't know what ally just said. He's still
- 7:44Speaker 2: on this idea of And first of all, did he
- 7:46Speaker 2: say response time is sixteen minutes? That's a long time.
- 7:54Speaker 2: I don't know. I was watching Blue Bloods last night.
- 7:56Speaker 2: A guy a woman called, there's a man with a gun,
- 7:58Speaker 2: but we'll be there in about sixteen minutes. It was
- 8:03Speaker 2: more like sixteen seconds on TV. But he's still on
- 8:08Speaker 2: this idea that you don't waste police responding to domestic
- 8:12Speaker 2: violence calls now, as cops will tell you, those can
- 8:15Speaker 2: be the most dangerous of all those domestic violence calls.
- 8:20Speaker 2: That's where you get there's real physical danger. You got
- 8:23Speaker 2: a raging maniac husband with a gun and knife. He
- 8:26Speaker 2: can't have social workers going there. And the important thing
- 8:29Speaker 2: to remember, the NYPD has tried this about four different
- 8:34Speaker 2: times over the last thirty years. They've tried it. It
- 8:37Speaker 2: doesn't work. Social workers end up getting injured killed. First
- 8:40Speaker 2: of all, the social workers won't do it, will not
- 8:42Speaker 2: go on these calls because they've seen what's happened in
- 8:45Speaker 2: the past, and they've all said they won't do it
- 8:49Speaker 2: unless the police come with them. So if the police
- 8:51Speaker 2: are there, you don't need the social worker. But it's
- 8:54Speaker 2: not going to work. His mom Donnie on HOKL.
- 8:56Speaker 1: You know, I look forward to the relationship that we're
- 8:58Speaker 1: building to serve in set of constituents New York being
- 9:01Speaker 1: pleased to change her mind on buses. I'm excited, just
- 9:03Speaker 1: as I was in October twenty third about making buses
- 9:05Speaker 1: fast and free.
- 9:06Speaker 2: Fast and free. Right, How are you gonna make the
- 9:08Speaker 2: buses fast? How do you do that? They're stuck in traffic.
- 9:11Speaker 2: They can't go any faster than the cars in front
- 9:13Speaker 2: of them. I don't know what he's talking about. You
- 9:16Speaker 2: know who hit out during the whole election, Kirsten Gillibrand.
- 9:21Speaker 2: Do you remember her? Jilibrand anybody remember her. She's the
- 9:25Speaker 2: other senator in New York. You never see her. You know,
- 9:28Speaker 2: Schumer is scheming and scamming to get on every TV
- 9:30Speaker 2: show he can. She's in hiding. She's in witness protection.
- 9:33Speaker 2: Nobody ever sees her. During the whole election. She was
- 9:36Speaker 2: in hiding. Did not want to talk about it, but
- 9:38Speaker 2: she was asked about Mom, Donnie.
- 9:39Speaker 3: I'm going to make sure that I protect this city,
- 9:42Speaker 3: protect the mayor and the governor from whatever assault President
- 9:45Speaker 3: Trump tries to put on the people of New York City,
- 9:48Speaker 3: and we will stand united to fight against whatever President
- 9:50Speaker 3: Trump throws at us.
- 9:51Speaker 2: I'm gonna protect I'm gonna protect you. I thought she
- 9:53Speaker 2: was talking about against Mom Donnie. It's against Trump. So
- 9:56Speaker 2: she's kind of useless. You know. Schumer, he's on the
- 10:00Speaker 2: way out. He'll be gone pretty soon, if not from
- 10:04Speaker 2: if not stepping down from the Senate, he'll he'll definitely
- 10:06Speaker 2: not be the minority leader anymore. He's been doing that
- 10:10Speaker 2: fake Sunday press conference for years and years and years
- 10:14Speaker 2: and years. It's an old trick from the seventies, eighties, nineties.
- 10:18Speaker 2: It doesn't work anymore, but he doesn't figured that out.
- 10:21Speaker 2: In the good old days, on Sunday, nothing happened. There
- 10:25Speaker 2: was no news, nothing happened, and Sunday night they still
- 10:28Speaker 2: had to do a six o'clock news and eleven o'clock news,
- 10:31Speaker 2: and the newspaper still had to put stories, and so
- 10:34Speaker 2: nothing was happening. So Schumer would do this press conference
- 10:36Speaker 2: and announce something and it would get in the paper,
- 10:39Speaker 2: and it would get on the newscasts because nothing else
- 10:42Speaker 2: happened on Sunday, they were forced to use it. If
- 10:44Speaker 2: he did the press conference any other day of the week,
- 10:46Speaker 2: it wouldn't even pay attention, it wouldn't even show up.
- 10:48Speaker 2: But it worked for years. But it doesn't mean anything anymore.
- 10:52Speaker 2: There's media twenty four to seven, seven days a week.
- 10:55Speaker 2: Media is going NonStop, even if it's Twitter, even if
- 10:58Speaker 2: it's online, even if it's social media. So the Sunday
- 11:03Speaker 2: press conference means nothing. Oh yeah, you'll still get on
- 11:06Speaker 2: the six o'clock and eleven o'clock news, but nobody watches
- 11:08Speaker 2: that anymore. Local TV viewership is down like ninety percent
- 11:13Speaker 2: over the years, so it's kind of pointless to keep
- 11:15Speaker 2: doing that Sunday press conference. Hey, Bruce Blakeman definitely is
- 11:20Speaker 2: considering running for governor. He's the best county executive in America.
- 11:24Speaker 2: He'd be a great governor. Who we had to pick
- 11:26Speaker 2: one person to be the governor of New York, He's
- 11:28Speaker 2: the perfect pick. I like Alis Stefanic, but Blakeman would
- 11:32Speaker 2: be better. He's a governor now, he's the governor of
- 11:36Speaker 2: Nassau County. He does a great job she's a legislator.
- 11:39Speaker 2: But he's going to do a tour of upstate New York.
- 11:43Speaker 2: He's going to actually first he's going to do I
- 11:46Speaker 2: think Albany, Westchester, Yeah, Hudson Valley. He'll go up there,
- 11:52Speaker 2: tour the place, speak to voters, do some events. Then
- 11:56Speaker 2: he'll go up to the North Country, which is where
- 11:59Speaker 2: at least is from. And they might be saying, well,
- 12:03Speaker 2: that's a little pushy. No, No, it's a smart thing
- 12:05Speaker 2: to do. It's a very smart thing to do. He
- 12:07Speaker 2: just want a big reelection victory, very convincing, a re
- 12:09Speaker 2: election victory twelve points, won by twelve points. But if
- 12:14Speaker 2: you're not sure should he run for governor? Could he win?
- 12:19Speaker 2: A smart executive. If you're not sure, you go test it.
- 12:21Speaker 2: You go test the waters. You go upstate and talk
- 12:25Speaker 2: to voters and meet with them, and see how you
- 12:26Speaker 2: get along with them, see how they get along with you,
- 12:28Speaker 2: see what the reaction is to you. If you're going
- 12:30Speaker 2: to make a decision. And that's what a good manager does,
- 12:33Speaker 2: go go test the waters, go there, feel it out.
- 12:38Speaker 2: So that's what he's going to do. And he's said
- 12:40Speaker 2: he'll make a decision in the coming months. I think
- 12:43Speaker 2: he had to decide by February. The Republican State Convention
- 12:47Speaker 2: is in February. He said, I'm looking forward to meeting
- 12:49Speaker 2: people up there, hearing from them, seeing what we can do.
- 12:52Speaker 2: Smart thing to do now, Blakeman something would be the
- 12:55Speaker 2: underdog because Stephanic is better known for the Republican primary state. Also,
- 13:01Speaker 2: she's got a lot of support from GOP officials, the
- 13:05Speaker 2: donors like her. Republican Party chairman Ed Cox likes her.
- 13:10Speaker 2: But yeah, I mean she'd be great. We love Alistafanic.
- 13:16Speaker 2: Blateman would actually be a better governor, but we'll see
- 13:19Speaker 2: what happens. Jack Schlossberg he's the latest really disastrous Democratic candidate.
- 13:26Speaker 2: He's the grandson of JFK. He's the son of Caroline Kennedy.
- 13:30Speaker 2: He's a real whacko. You're going to start seeing the
- 13:33Speaker 2: videos all over the place that he's put on YouTube.
- 13:36Speaker 2: They are I think I have one on my Twitter.
- 13:39Speaker 2: Yeah go check that out, or his TikTok, his Instagram.
- 13:42Speaker 2: Just a complete creepy, weirdo wacko. And a lot of
- 13:46Speaker 2: people point out he's had some weird fixation on JD
- 13:49Speaker 2: Fans's wife Usha, making creepy comments about her, And there
- 13:54Speaker 2: was one time where even he did a poll on
- 13:56Speaker 2: his Twitter who's hotter, who'sha Vant's or Jackie Oh, which
- 14:04Speaker 2: was kind of strange to people. Is Jackie Oh? Jacqueline
- 14:08Speaker 2: on Nassis is his grandmother? Who does a poll on
- 14:11Speaker 2: how hot his grandmother? Is very very weird. Then, I mean,
- 14:15Speaker 2: he's just had a series of wacko, ludicrous tweets and posts.
- 14:21Speaker 2: There was one where he claimed Alan Dershwitz murdered his wife,
- 14:25Speaker 2: yeah in February, or ranting ridiculous and accusing Alan Dershwitz
- 14:29Speaker 2: of killing his own wife. Dershwitz threatened the defamation lawsuit
- 14:33Speaker 2: against him. There was another series where Schlosberg shared naked
- 14:37Speaker 2: pictures of himself as a kid. I mean, he's just
- 14:40Speaker 2: a complete nutjob, wacko sleeves Paul. There's another one where
- 14:44Speaker 2: he talked about his recipe for jew blood. His words,
- 14:48Speaker 2: jew blood. The recipe includes two ounces of jew blood Ashkenazi,
- 14:53Speaker 2: not Sephardic, four cups of male well, I don't want
- 14:58Speaker 2: to say the word baked at three hundred degrees until
- 15:01Speaker 2: totally dry like your wife. This is Jack Slosberg. Now
- 15:06Speaker 2: he's running these ads online as he wants to run
- 15:11Speaker 2: for Jerry Nadler's seat. And in the ads he's dressed
- 15:13Speaker 2: nicely and he speaks very properly, and he says I
- 15:16Speaker 2: want to do what I can to hold him. You
- 15:18Speaker 2: can be very formal now, but the internet is forever
- 15:21Speaker 2: and all these videos are going to emerge. You're going
- 15:23Speaker 2: to see them all. He is a complete and total
- 15:26Speaker 2: nutshob wacko. Hey, Jimmy Fayley will be with in a
- 15:29Speaker 2: few minutes. We'll take some calls next. Eight hundred three
- 15:32Speaker 2: two one zero seven ten is the number. Eight hundred
- 15:36Speaker 2: three two one zero seven ten.
- 15:39Speaker 4: Set up preseat on the iHeartRadio app to Douboar to
- 15:42Speaker 4: hear Mark live.
- 15:44Speaker 2: Set another for Mark's podcast to hear him anytime. Now,
- 15:48Speaker 2: back to Mark.
- 15:49Speaker 4: Simone on dou wor.
- 15:52Speaker 2: Hey, let's take some calls. Eight hundred three two one
- 15:56Speaker 2: zero seven ten is the number. Let's go to doctor
- 15:59Speaker 2: Bob on Long Island. Doctor Bob a great surgeon. Doctor Bob.
- 16:02Speaker 5: How you doing, Thanks Mark?
- 16:03Speaker 4: Yes?
- 16:03Speaker 5: And good thanks Mark. You know, I think it's terrific
- 16:07Speaker 5: that we've got two fantastic candidates with Lakeman and a
- 16:10Speaker 5: last Stephonic And I think that You're right, Blakeman is
- 16:14Speaker 5: better as an executive to be governor. And what about
- 16:18Speaker 5: the fantastic and brilliant Stephanic is a tremendous legislator. Have
- 16:22Speaker 5: her go into the senator a senatorial position. We have
- 16:25Speaker 5: to to losers representing New York at this point.
- 16:29Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a good idea. Blakeman would be the better governor,
- 16:31Speaker 2: although we'd be happy with Stephanic. But Blakeman is a
- 16:34Speaker 2: governor ally in Long Island, and Stephanic would be a
- 16:37Speaker 2: great senator. Very good, Thanks for Colin. Let's go to
- 16:40Speaker 2: Linda in Long Island. Linda, how you doing? Yes?
- 16:47Speaker 1: I do matter?
- 16:48Speaker 2: You sound a little depressed.
- 16:51Speaker 4: I am.
- 16:54Speaker 2: Hello, Mark.
- 16:58Speaker 6: Okay, so I s Schlatsburgh And at least you know
- 17:02Speaker 6: he is really creepy besides being dumb like his mother.
- 17:07Speaker 6: But at least on Mayor looks good. Did you see him?
- 17:12Speaker 2: Who looks good?
- 17:12Speaker 6: Slats Mayor looks good?
- 17:15Speaker 2: Mayor Mom?
- 17:16Speaker 4: Donnie, well he looks good.
- 17:18Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 17:19Speaker 2: Are you talking about Donnie? Yeah? It looks good?
- 17:25Speaker 3: Right?
- 17:25Speaker 2: Yeah? Am I the only one that got lost in
- 17:29Speaker 2: this conversation? Where are you in Long Island?
- 17:35Speaker 6: It's the secret.
- 17:38Speaker 2: Mental institution? Now where do you live in Long Island?
- 17:41Speaker 1: Law Park, Floral Park?
- 17:44Speaker 6: Right, the mental institution, Laurel Park.
- 17:46Speaker 2: That's almost Long Island. It's sort of half Queen's half Long.
- 17:49Speaker 6: Island, right, that's right, that's right exactly.
- 17:51Speaker 2: That's where North Shore Towers is, right, Yes, all right,
- 17:56Speaker 2: you're right on the border there. All right, thanks for calling, Linda.
- 17:59Speaker 2: Let's go to Tom and Queen's Tom. How you doing, Hey.
- 18:03Speaker 7: Mark, good morning. I have concern with what you're saying
- 18:08Speaker 7: about the Blasio versus Mandami. At least with Deblasio, he
- 18:12Speaker 7: was lazy and he definitely liked to set off smoke detectives.
- 18:16Speaker 7: With Mandami, I think he likes I think he's got
- 18:18Speaker 7: a real agenda that's gonna work.
- 18:20Speaker 2: Yeah, that's the argument that Deblasio was a lazy guy
- 18:24Speaker 2: who never even came to work and did nothing. But
- 18:26Speaker 2: that means his team ran everything. So we saw what
- 18:29Speaker 2: they all do, and you got the same team running
- 18:31Speaker 2: things now with Mam Donnie. And don't think Mam Donnie's
- 18:34Speaker 2: not lazy. These socialists are all like that, right. I
- 18:39Speaker 2: gotta go back and watch the Blasio campaigning see if
- 18:43Speaker 2: he was you know, a lot of times these Deblasio
- 18:46Speaker 2: was a socialist. Remember he spent his honeymoon in Cuba. Uh,
- 18:50Speaker 2: I gotta go back and watch him campaign. Was he
- 18:51Speaker 2: campaigning the same way Mam Donnie was with all these
- 18:53Speaker 2: promises and his fast talking. You gotta go see what
- 18:57Speaker 2: how he cam pig? You know, Mam Donnie most likely
- 19:01Speaker 2: a con man. And who knows, maybe he was counting
- 19:03Speaker 2: the socialists. Who knows. It could be like that book demand.
- 19:07Speaker 2: He just doesn't show up for work. Let's go to
- 19:10Speaker 2: Vincent and Brooklyn. Vincent, how you doing, Mark?
- 19:13Speaker 8: You're making me cracked up, Mark, Zora Mandami, according to me,
- 19:17Speaker 8: looks like Bucky Beever or Alvin the Chipmunk. Mark. I've
- 19:23Speaker 8: been going to Milan in Italy for years and years
- 19:26Speaker 8: and years. Anyway, Milan at night they have actually de
- 19:32Speaker 8: facto free bussing. And I say this because the subway
- 19:36Speaker 8: system shuts down from about eleven thirty to five in
- 19:40Speaker 8: the morning, but they have bus lines that paralleled the
- 19:45Speaker 8: existing subway route, so that if you get out of
- 19:47Speaker 8: work and your train is shut down, you could take
- 19:52Speaker 8: a bus. But when the bus goes by all the
- 19:55Speaker 8: places where there's the clubs, where all there's all the
- 19:58Speaker 8: nefarious action going on. The kids come on the bus,
- 20:02Speaker 8: the guys come on the bus, and nobody pays. They
- 20:05Speaker 8: actually have tickets. So sometimes the controllers they go on
- 20:09Speaker 8: they're like, they're like uh friends in safety offices, like
- 20:14Speaker 8: what Mandamie wants to replace the cops with. And they
- 20:17Speaker 8: go on the bus and they check your ticket to
- 20:19Speaker 8: see who paid. There are times when the ambulance has
- 20:23Speaker 8: to come to get the ticket controller to take them
- 20:27Speaker 8: off the bus because the people becoming sense, they either
- 20:31Speaker 8: beat up the ticket controller or if they really get crazy,
- 20:36Speaker 8: they go beat up the bus driver and they go
- 20:38Speaker 8: beat up the guy who will get takes checking the tickets.
- 20:42Speaker 2: You're not exactly cheering us up here. This doesn't sound good, no, but.
- 20:46Speaker 8: That's what we're gonna have a fun Tommy gets his way.
- 20:48Speaker 2: Thanks for I don't mean, I know you're right a
- 20:54Speaker 2: man of the world. You're right, all right, Well, good call,
- 20:57Speaker 2: Thanks for calling.
- 20:57Speaker 6: Hey.
- 20:58Speaker 2: When we come back, Jimmy Taylor will be with us next.
- 21:01Speaker 2: Lots to talk to him about in just a moment
- 21:03Speaker 2: on seven to ten WR Now more, Mark Simone on
- 21:08Speaker 2: seven TENR Well, Jimmy Fayla Great talk show hosts brilliant
- 21:14Speaker 2: comedian and he's on WR now every weeknight, nine o'clock.
- 21:20Speaker 2: We'll get him back nine to midnight, Jimmy Fayler. We
- 21:23Speaker 2: lost him, We'll get him right back. He's on nine
- 21:25Speaker 2: to midnight every night and it's an excellent show. If
- 21:28Speaker 2: you haven't got a chance to listen yet, you'll love
- 21:31Speaker 2: this show. It's not only interesting, but very funny. Every
- 21:33Speaker 2: night from nine to midnight. He also does a great show,
- 21:38Speaker 2: a late night show on Fox Saturday nights at ten o'clock.
- 21:42Speaker 2: Excellent show. Do we get him back? Yes? No, Oh,
- 21:46Speaker 2: we got him. We got him. But Jimmy Fayler, make
- 21:48Speaker 2: sure you watch him also every Saturday ten o'clock on Fox,
- 21:52Speaker 2: a great late night show. It's the best monologue in
- 21:55Speaker 2: television every Saturday night. Jimmy Fayla, how you doing?
- 22:00Speaker 4: I have? I got a lot of family that are
- 22:03Speaker 4: getting ready to visit New York before we defund the police.
- 22:08Speaker 4: They're trying to come before them and Mom, Donnie stuff kicked.
- 22:10Speaker 4: And he's actually good for tourism right now because everybody's
- 22:13Speaker 4: making a bonus trip this week, and that.
- 22:17Speaker 2: You know, so far, he tired everybody from the Deblasio administration.
- 22:21Speaker 2: We got through eight years at Deblasio, didn't we.
- 22:26Speaker 4: No, if by way you mean Florida real estate agents. Yes,
- 22:32Speaker 4: they were so busy, but they did get through it. Uh,
- 22:35Speaker 4: don't ever forget. Bill de Blasio made our number one
- 22:39Speaker 4: restaurant chain a place called this Space for rent. Oh,
- 22:43Speaker 4: that was a very big place underd Blasio. So I
- 22:48Speaker 4: don't like it, Well, yes, we're gonna have fun. We're
- 22:51Speaker 4: New Yorkers, and that's the one thing about us. If
- 22:53Speaker 4: you live here, I always say New York is a
- 22:56Speaker 4: spiritual dominatrix. If you're going to live here, it's because
- 22:59Speaker 4: you'll like getting beat up. In a roundabout way. Anybody
- 23:03Speaker 4: listening on Long Island right now, who drives into the
- 23:05Speaker 4: city every day like I do, you have to like
- 23:08Speaker 4: the beating on some level to keep showing up and
- 23:10Speaker 4: taking it.
- 23:11Speaker 2: No, it's not that bad. You know, Hey, you work
- 23:15Speaker 2: at Fox. You walk out of Fox. It's so beautiful.
- 23:17Speaker 2: There's Radio City, there's Rockefeller Center, there's the Tree. It's
- 23:21Speaker 2: still New York. Isn't it still the greatest city?
- 23:24Speaker 4: Yeah? Yeah, No. The truth is there nothing that can
- 23:26Speaker 4: compare it, you know, even if it takes a dip
- 23:30Speaker 4: under Mom Donne. The truth is, you know, Stefanic announcing
- 23:33Speaker 4: she was gonna run when she did is a real
- 23:36Speaker 4: check on anything Mom Donnie wants to do, because Hokeel
- 23:39Speaker 4: doesn't want to get that radical, knowing she's going to
- 23:42Speaker 4: be in a tight race. Yeah, and she's you know,
- 23:45Speaker 4: Hokele already has her limitations. I mean, she's basically governor
- 23:49Speaker 4: because she was the only woman in Albany that was
- 23:51Speaker 4: too annoying for Andrew Cuomo to hit on. You know,
- 23:55Speaker 4: had she'd been a little bit easier to deal with,
- 23:58Speaker 4: he probably would have got me to her too, and
- 24:00Speaker 4: she'd be out of there, and god knows what would
- 24:02Speaker 4: have happened.
- 24:03Speaker 2: Uh. Yeah, these people leaving New York, they moved to Florida.
- 24:06Speaker 2: They moved to North Carolina. What's the first thing you
- 24:08Speaker 2: do when I read the New York Post. They still
- 24:10Speaker 2: listen to New York radio. They they'll all be back
- 24:14Speaker 2: at one point, won't they They'll all be back.
- 24:16Speaker 4: Yes, they will try, because that's that is actually what happens.
- 24:20Speaker 4: Every one of my friends who has moved to Florida
- 24:23Speaker 4: tells me about how they you know, we're gonna we
- 24:25Speaker 4: gotta find a pizza place. Then we're gonna go to
- 24:27Speaker 4: the bagel place.
- 24:29Speaker 2: Oh my god.
- 24:29Speaker 4: So you're just doing this with more humidity, you know,
- 24:34Speaker 4: that's all you're really doing.
- 24:35Speaker 2: And know for a.
- 24:36Speaker 4: Scheme of things, and I know they were perks, but
- 24:39Speaker 4: if you're from here and you've spent enough time here,
- 24:42Speaker 4: you're not supposed to leave. Like you know those stories
- 24:45Speaker 4: Mark about how someone smokes every day till they're ninety
- 24:48Speaker 4: and never gets sick. Yeah, and then they quit smoking
- 24:51Speaker 4: and drop dead in.
- 24:52Speaker 2: Like three weeks.
- 24:54Speaker 4: Like at some point, the bad adverse things we do
- 24:58Speaker 4: become like standardized operating procedure for some of us. I mean,
- 25:02Speaker 4: it's there's no way of really knowing. But New York's one.
- 25:04Speaker 2: Of those things.
- 25:05Speaker 4: If it's ingrained in who you are, you're not going
- 25:07Speaker 4: to be right if you leave it behind.
- 25:09Speaker 2: Yeah, well no, it's still the greatest thing in the world. Hey,
- 25:13Speaker 2: mont Downey's already done one great thing. You got rid
- 25:15Speaker 2: of Cuomo. Don't you think we won't see Cuomo again
- 25:17Speaker 2: as a candidate, will we?
- 25:20Speaker 4: I mean, listen, save for an upcoming appearance on season
- 25:24Speaker 4: fifty two of Dancing with the Stars.
- 25:26Speaker 2: I do think, I do think it's over. You know, oh,
- 25:32Speaker 2: handsy Andy.
- 25:33Speaker 4: But Curtis will be back. I think you already launch
- 25:36Speaker 4: I think Curtis already launched his next campaign.
- 25:38Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure. Yeah, well, we love Curtis. But hey,
- 25:42Speaker 2: the shutdown, the Democrats certainly accomplished a lot. Could you
- 25:45Speaker 2: tell us what that was? Well, you know, we.
- 25:50Speaker 4: Did break a record for margaritas an airport bar Okay
- 25:54Speaker 4: as a nation. Those flight delays, the TG Fridays broke
- 26:01Speaker 4: a Potato Skins record. I mean, nothing else went on. Nobody,
- 26:05Speaker 4: nobody could get, nobody got off the ground. You know,
- 26:08Speaker 4: it was such it was such silly posturing by them.
- 26:12Speaker 4: And you know it's clear now they really didn't even
- 26:15Speaker 4: know why they did it. You know, they said obamaka't
- 26:18Speaker 4: you know well, you know healthcare and healthcare was too expensive,
- 26:21Speaker 4: but they passed the healthcare bill.
- 26:22Speaker 2: It was their healthcare bill.
- 26:24Speaker 4: So how do you blame us for healthcare.
- 26:25Speaker 2: Being too expensive?
- 26:27Speaker 4: You know, I mentioned this on TV the other night.
- 26:29Speaker 4: I said, if the Democrats saying healthcare is too expensive,
- 26:31Speaker 4: it is like Bill Cosby saying the drinks are too strong.
- 26:34Speaker 4: I'm like, dude, you made it. You made the beverage.
- 26:38Speaker 4: Their You've no legs to stand on here.
- 26:42Speaker 2: So, yeah, this Affordable Care Act, if it's so affordable,
- 26:45Speaker 2: what the hell does it need a subsidy? If it's affordable,
- 26:47Speaker 2: they've never explained now and if the fact that they
- 26:51Speaker 2: keep talking about it means it's not working. Otherwise, if
- 26:53Speaker 2: it was working, it wouldn't be an issue. Yeah, that's
- 26:57Speaker 2: that's the.
- 26:57Speaker 4: Point, you know. And everybody who got duped into this,
- 27:01Speaker 4: you know, under the auspices of you know, well, it's
- 27:04Speaker 4: gonna be cheaper and we're gonna help more people out
- 27:06Speaker 4: and blah blahlah blah. Those people are very silent, like
- 27:10Speaker 4: you know what I mean, Like Obama is it's his bill,
- 27:13Speaker 4: it's Obamacare. You don't see him out there defending this
- 27:16Speaker 4: thing right now. He's you know, calling Trumpet authoritarian and
- 27:19Speaker 4: everything in between. But nobody who was involved with the
- 27:22Speaker 4: original passage of this thing. You know, it's like if
- 27:25Speaker 4: you were the captain of the Titanic, you're not really
- 27:27Speaker 4: gonna brag about the course you charted. You know, a
- 27:30Speaker 4: lot of people go left, you know when they get
- 27:32Speaker 4: to Nova Scotia, but not me. And nobody wants to
- 27:35Speaker 4: own it. And that's my favorite thing about right now, is.
- 27:39Speaker 4: They're pivoting to everything, but who passed the bill to
- 27:42Speaker 4: begin with? Sending with a shutdown? And you know this, oh,
- 27:44Speaker 4: the Republican shutdown. Ahs, the Republican shutdown. These evil Republicans
- 27:48Speaker 4: shutdown the government. In the middte of the government opened,
- 27:50Speaker 4: They're like, how dare they open the government?
- 27:53Speaker 2: Republicans?
- 27:54Speaker 4: What kind of monster?
- 27:56Speaker 3: They're not?
- 27:57Speaker 4: Various people.
- 27:58Speaker 2: Well, everybody should listen to Jimmy Fail every night nine o'clock,
- 28:01Speaker 2: nine to midnight on WR and watch him Saturday night.
- 28:05Speaker 2: I love your Saturday night show, ten o'clock. Best monologue
- 28:08Speaker 2: in television.
- 28:09Speaker 4: Now, thank well, nobody's having a better time than us, man, Like,
- 28:13Speaker 4: for real, we're having we are having a great time.
- 28:15Speaker 2: It's like the world's on fire.
- 28:16Speaker 4: We're just roasting marshmallows. I mean that's what I'm doing
- 28:18Speaker 4: tonight at nine o'clock on w o R.
- 28:20Speaker 2: Yeah us what you got now? Yeah?
- 28:23Speaker 4: Oh, nine pm tonight. It's actually a pretty hot show
- 28:26Speaker 4: coming down the pike. So what happened? Nicole Parker is
- 28:29Speaker 4: a former FBI agent and she's involved in some type
- 28:33Speaker 4: of deep state Shenanigan. She's going to tell me about
- 28:36Speaker 4: the truth is is and you know this. Okay, I'm
- 28:38Speaker 4: not deep state. I'm more like deep dish. You know,
- 28:41Speaker 4: I could talk to you about pizza. She could talk
- 28:43Speaker 4: you about the deep state. But it's going to be excited.
- 28:45Speaker 4: I can't wait to hear it. And I'll probably have
- 28:47Speaker 4: to google half of what she tells me because there's
- 28:49Speaker 4: like a six hundred point IQ gap between her and me.
- 28:52Speaker 4: But that's fine.
- 28:53Speaker 2: Yeah, that's tonight nine to midnight on seven to ten WR.
- 28:57Speaker 2: It's a great show, and the Saturday night show excellent.
- 29:01Speaker 2: But you know these late night hosts. I'm watching this
- 29:03Speaker 2: interview with Kimmel and his wife, who's I didn't realize
- 29:06Speaker 2: runs his show, and they're so angry, and you know,
- 29:09Speaker 2: our job is to stop Donald Trump. Our job is
- 29:11Speaker 2: to get Donald Trump tell Would you tell him what
- 29:14Speaker 2: the job of a late night host is? Isn't it
- 29:15Speaker 2: just to entertain?
- 29:17Speaker 4: The job of a late night host is. You are
- 29:19Speaker 4: the last thing people are going to watch before they
- 29:22Speaker 4: go to bed, So your job is to put them
- 29:23Speaker 4: to bed with a smile in their face, take away
- 29:26Speaker 4: the tension from the day's torments, and kind of unite
- 29:29Speaker 4: the country through that need to escape. Yeah, okay, Instead
- 29:33Speaker 4: they're turning on Kimmel at eleven thirty and being told
- 29:36Speaker 4: the fascints are here, Hitler's in charge. Good night, everybody
- 29:40Speaker 4: have a night dream like, oh man, well sounds crazy.
- 29:44Speaker 4: The compass is broken. You know what I know when
- 29:46Speaker 4: she said her family members, you know, if they vote
- 29:50Speaker 4: for Trump, they're voting against Jimmy Kimmel because he argues
- 29:53Speaker 4: with Trump every night. The idea that she thinks people
- 29:56Speaker 4: should be voting not based on the economy or the
- 29:59Speaker 4: safety up you community, but on whether or not it's
- 30:02Speaker 4: gonna hurt Jimmy Kimmel's feelings, Like when you love to
- 30:05Speaker 4: be that detached from reality, you can just cruise through
- 30:09Speaker 4: the world thinking you were right about every you know,
- 30:11Speaker 4: weapons grade, stupid thing that came out of your mouth.
- 30:15Speaker 2: Well, you gotta watch watch Jimmy Faylor's show Saturday nights
- 30:19Speaker 2: at ten. You will love it. Best of late night
- 30:20Speaker 2: show there is. And make sure you're listening to them
- 30:22Speaker 2: tonight and every weeknight. He's on nine to midnight on
- 30:25Speaker 2: w r with a great show. It's very funny, entertaining, informative,
- 30:29Speaker 2: nine to midnight tonight and every weeknight. Jimmy Fayla, Thanks
- 30:33Speaker 2: for being with us.
- 30:35Speaker 4: You're the best, Mark.
