- 0:01Speaker 1: One, just being able to go to Pixar, growing up
- 0:04Speaker 1: with my dad working there. And then growing up with
- 0:06Speaker 1: people just like knowing the movie and kind of, yeah,
- 0:11Speaker 1: just being a part of that world.
- 0:14Speaker 2: When Monsters, Inc.
- 0:15Speaker 1: First came out, my mom was, we were kind of
- 0:17Speaker 1: going to auditions and seeing if this was like the
- 0:19Speaker 1: world I wanted to be in. We realized quickly that
- 0:22Speaker 1: it was just full of a bunch of like moms
- 0:25Speaker 1: living vicariously through their little girls. I don't know, like
- 0:29Speaker 1: no shame. But, you know, we would go to these
- 0:31Speaker 1: auditions and it was just like not for us. And
- 0:34Speaker 1: so my parents pulled me out of it, which I'm
- 0:37Speaker 1: really happy they did that. So I think if I
- 0:40Speaker 1: stayed with it throughout my life, like that definitely would have,
- 0:44Speaker 1: who knows how I would have ended up. I always
- 0:46Speaker 1: would say like the little amount of fame I have
- 0:48Speaker 1: now is sometimes too much, but it's still really cool.
- 0:51Speaker 1: It was a cool experience. And so growing up, I think,
- 0:54Speaker 1: It was just always a part of me. So I'm
- 0:56Speaker 1: sure it affected me. I've thought about sometimes what would
- 0:59Speaker 1: have been like if I wasn't Boo. It's like hard
- 1:01Speaker 1: to hard to think about. But overall, I wouldn't change it.
- 1:08Speaker 2: No, that's really interesting when you said that even just
- 1:10Speaker 2: a little bit is almost too much at times because
- 1:12Speaker 2: I've wondered like, you know, recently watching like the Michael
- 1:17Speaker 2: Jackson film that came out and just.
- 1:19Speaker 1: Oh, I need to see that.
- 1:21Speaker 2: I really enjoyed it. It's very controversial. I mean, you know,
- 1:24Speaker 2: you've probably seen that, but I, I actually really enjoyed it. And, um,
- 1:30Speaker 2: I was like seeing just the amount of fame he
- 1:33Speaker 2: had in the matter of a couple of years would be,
- 1:36Speaker 2: it was just very overwhelming for me as a person
- 1:39Speaker 2: to imagine having that much. Um, and just no privacy,
- 1:44Speaker 2: no secret thoughts, like just impossible. Um, And so I
- 1:49Speaker 2: find that interesting when you're like, yeah, just a little
- 1:51Speaker 2: bit of fame can be too much at times. Is
- 1:53Speaker 2: it because, what is it about it you think? Is
- 1:57Speaker 2: it because the fact that you, what is it about that? Like,
- 2:01Speaker 2: do you have to feel like you have to live
- 2:02Speaker 2: up to something or that it's not, what is the
- 2:07Speaker 2: little bit of fame that can get like hard to
- 2:10Speaker 2: handle at times that you mentioned?
- 2:11Speaker 1: Yeah, I think what you said of like feeling like
- 2:13Speaker 1: you have to live up to something, that's a part
- 2:15Speaker 1: of it. Um, you know, I was nowhere on the
- 2:18Speaker 1: scale of Michael Jackson by any means. Like I wasn't
- 2:20Speaker 1: being followed around with my paparazzi or, you know, maybe
- 2:24Speaker 1: at first it was a little like taste of that. Um,
- 2:27Speaker 1: but I think like, I don't know, growing up, I
- 2:29Speaker 1: remember elementary school, some of my friends being like, oh,
- 2:33Speaker 1: so-and-so only likes you cause you're the voice of boo
- 2:35Speaker 1: or like kind of not kind of navigating, like who's
- 2:38Speaker 1: your real friend or who just wants to say they're
- 2:40Speaker 1: friends with boo. You know, it's not the worst thing
- 2:43Speaker 1: in the world, but I think, like, that was something
- 2:45Speaker 1: that was kind of in my head a little growing up.
- 2:48Speaker 1: And I'm not really recognized unless I, like, I'm at
- 2:51Speaker 1: a Comic-Con. I'll be recognized there. Or if I'm at
- 2:53Speaker 1: a Comic-Con, then, like, after going to dinner sometimes, like,
- 2:57Speaker 1: I'll run into people from the show and they'll recognize me.
- 3:00Speaker 1: But there was, like, a couple times. I remember in
- 3:02Speaker 1: college I was living on campus in the dorms and, like,
- 3:05Speaker 1: a few different times throughout the year. Random people would
- 3:08Speaker 1: knock on my door and ask if I was boo,
- 3:10Speaker 1: and I'm like, how do you know where I live?
- 3:13Speaker 1: So it was nothing too drastic, but sometimes it's like, huh,
- 3:19Speaker 1: this is weird. But nothing too bad.
- 3:24Speaker 2: You don't regret at all the fact that you didn't
- 3:26Speaker 2: pursue more you're happy with?
- 3:30Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm definitely happy because I couldn't imagine–
