- 0:50Speaker 6: Good morning to you out there and listening a land.
- 0:54Speaker 6: Good morning to my education, my teachers, my principles, custodians,
- 1:05Speaker 6: lunch room people. Good morning to you, I know, back
- 1:10Speaker 6: to the grind. Stat your kid up next week to
- 1:15Speaker 6: start off. Set the temple, y'all. Let the temple, y'all
- 1:17Speaker 6: wait too long? First day is the best day.
- 1:21Speaker 3: Why wait? You know Halloween. You already know Billy ain't
- 1:27Speaker 3: changed in three months. Go on, get him real quick, set,
- 1:32Speaker 3: you know, just let him know. Oh I forget you
- 1:35Speaker 3: get put in jail for that. I'm sorry. That's that
- 1:38Speaker 3: old school, back when the teacher used to be able to,
- 1:41Speaker 3: you know, play on the fringe with your commands, your
- 1:45Speaker 3: gray on the friend you used to get to stand
- 1:48Speaker 3: right there like, man, is this is he reaching for
- 1:52Speaker 3: his knife because he used to keep him a pocket
- 1:54Speaker 3: knife back they always had him old pocket knife. You
- 1:58Speaker 3: could see carry he had open carried knife. But not
- 2:03Speaker 3: now they're they're cameras everywhere. Yeah, yeah, but that used
- 2:06Speaker 3: to be a little thing to get you a quick
- 2:08Speaker 3: threat that he is not having it used typically was
- 2:11Speaker 3: the vice principal because he had a lot of rage
- 2:15Speaker 3: because he been here for twenty two years, y'all haven't
- 2:18Speaker 3: promoted him to being the principal.
- 2:20Speaker 7: He got a lot of animosity the print the actual
- 2:23Speaker 7: principle is younger than him.
- 2:24Speaker 4: Yes, yeah, he ain't the principal cause he won't play.
- 2:27Speaker 3: The younger principal is not even from this town, from
- 2:31Speaker 3: this to just moved in from Maine from the ain't
- 2:33Speaker 3: even from the district. And he got a lot of
- 2:36Speaker 3: animosity to hit you with that quick threat. I won't
- 2:39Speaker 3: play the game, and why they won't me to be vice?
- 2:42Speaker 3: Really he telling you, I ain't got nothing to lose,
- 2:43Speaker 3: nothing to lose, so I'm gonna get my retirement regardless.
- 2:46Speaker 3: You know, go forward, Go forward, big thirteen year old,
- 2:51Speaker 3: since you big mister will Cox, slow down, broh south side.
- 2:56Speaker 3: I just got off the bus going your backpack south
- 3:00Speaker 3: and then ask you something stupid when you walk. You
- 3:02Speaker 3: know how your mama doing? Hey man, hey, hey, Now
- 3:05Speaker 3: you cross the line because you know how. They said
- 3:08Speaker 3: in a more of how your mama doing doing like
- 3:11Speaker 3: they know your mama in that kind of way, how
- 3:16Speaker 3: are your mama doing right?
- 3:17Speaker 6: And not a welfare check. But I don't know how
- 3:24Speaker 6: your mama doing. She's still they still hold on.
- 3:28Speaker 3: Now, good morning to you out there and our sports land.
- 3:32Speaker 3: Glad to be here with you. Command Greg, you have
- 3:34Speaker 3: to take that that do rag off. Though I ain't
- 3:38Speaker 3: doing class. I'm not a class.
- 3:42Speaker 6: The statement at the statement at Tuskegee, this ain't Tskey
- 3:48Speaker 6: Tuskege University said, I'm outside of tuske They're not just
- 3:51Speaker 6: going with the do rag in class.
- 3:54Speaker 3: They talking about basically on campus. I don't attend that school,
- 3:59Speaker 3: but we connected to just putting it out there before
- 4:02Speaker 3: class comes back. Teskia University, which is in Tuskegee, Alabama,
- 4:07Speaker 3: which is about fifteen miles from Auburn. So a university
- 4:14Speaker 3: I know very well has decided and the thing with
- 4:19Speaker 3: me and I saw the story. Kamanche hit me with
- 4:23Speaker 3: it about an hour after I saw it. The bad
- 4:27Speaker 3: producer hit me this morning with it. So I'm starting
- 4:30Speaker 3: here because my thing is how bad has it gotten?
- 4:38Speaker 3: Because you don't make these kind of national statements off
- 4:43Speaker 3: of one or two people. Do ragging and how shoe
- 4:48Speaker 3: wearing to class one or two people, You don't make
- 4:51Speaker 3: no national statement you live with that. It must be
- 4:55Speaker 3: at a fever pitch. It's a problem for them to
- 5:00Speaker 3: come out. But Tuskei University has put out how they
- 5:04Speaker 3: are changing and putting the word out so that the
- 5:08Speaker 3: kids coming back, the young men and women will know
- 5:12Speaker 3: the particular rules. Won't be any bonnets. And this is
- 5:16Speaker 3: in basically on campus because they're talking about classroom, cafeteria,
- 5:22Speaker 3: sporting events. So basically that's why I just kind of
- 5:26Speaker 3: sum it up to be basically on campus that the
- 5:31Speaker 3: do rag, the bonnet, the house slippers, revealing clothing will
- 5:37Speaker 3: no longer. Teachers will be advised to come and address
- 5:44Speaker 3: it when they see it, and you won't be able
- 5:49Speaker 3: to tell them that they haven't told everybody. They're letting
- 5:54Speaker 3: you know. And I imagine for them school is probably
- 5:58Speaker 3: about three weeks out, they getting letting commands. You know,
- 6:03Speaker 3: no pajama pants to all it All that looking like
- 6:06Speaker 3: you just woke up and was walking out to the
- 6:10Speaker 3: mailbox is over.
- 6:13Speaker 8: How do how do?
- 6:14Speaker 3: How do we get here? Big Kenny? How did we bad? Producer?
- 6:17Speaker 3: Command you Greg all in the studio, But Big Kenny,
- 6:19Speaker 3: I started with you. How did we get because we
- 6:21Speaker 3: talk about this. You go to the the airport.
- 6:25Speaker 6: Yes, you go to the mall anyway, you go to
- 6:28Speaker 6: just say anywhere, okay literally literally literally anywhere, and they
- 6:35Speaker 6: will be in the bonnet and they pajamas and the
- 6:39Speaker 6: house shoes.
- 6:39Speaker 9: Nah.
- 6:40Speaker 3: I know we hit your grand mama awake. I noticed you.
- 6:44Speaker 5: I know this.
- 6:45Speaker 6: You know this because you holding a program with your
- 6:48Speaker 6: grandmama face on it. But your cousin and her bonnet,
- 6:53Speaker 6: her pajamas and her slippers. And you know how we
- 6:56Speaker 6: got here? Where my scamming and spin that God shut
- 7:04Speaker 6: on us.
- 7:04Speaker 10: Spin Young Miami or it's all up, Young Miami, Young Chicago,
- 7:11Speaker 10: little Los Angeles, miniature New York, decata.
- 7:20Speaker 3: I'm telling you all of that.
- 7:21Speaker 6: It has been normalized to the point where places where
- 7:26Speaker 6: you were supposed to go because you had separated yourself
- 7:32Speaker 6: as somebody who was different, seeking better and more can't
- 7:37Speaker 6: tell them from the where my scamming?
- 7:40Speaker 3: So Tuskigy, how bad it get?
- 7:43Speaker 6: How bad can be when when on site a teacher
- 7:46Speaker 6: can come up to you on some girl, go put
- 7:48Speaker 6: some clothes on. We done went back to the village
- 7:52Speaker 6: raising your children at Tuskei.
- 7:54Speaker 3: Commandin Greg How did we get to the slacker all
- 7:59Speaker 3: day any day anywhere?
- 8:03Speaker 7: Look, I would say that when when there are things
- 8:10Speaker 7: like this like address code passes, it never goes over well.
- 8:14Speaker 7: I mean there's nobody, none of the students gonna be like,
- 8:17Speaker 7: you know what, you're right, we need to we need
- 8:19Speaker 7: to look more professional in the classroom setting. Like no
- 8:23Speaker 7: one is thinking that. So it's it's I think most
- 8:27Speaker 7: of it. Most of it is you're not gonna tell
- 8:30Speaker 7: me how to dress or what to wear. That's why
- 8:33Speaker 7: I think it's it's probably not gonna go over well.
- 8:36Speaker 7: Like I I saw this in a Facebook group. Someone
- 8:38Speaker 7: also said, oh, they need to get rid of slides
- 8:41Speaker 7: like the crocs.
- 8:43Speaker 4: Crocs.
- 8:44Speaker 7: Yeah, And I'm like all of the athletes at the school,
- 8:48Speaker 7: especially if they play football, will mutiny because that's no
- 8:54Speaker 7: that's what they wear outside of but that's just because
- 8:57Speaker 7: you're allowed.
- 9:00Speaker 3: But if those were banned, then with coach Prime has
- 9:05Speaker 3: already mandated at Colorado that his football players can't go
- 9:11Speaker 3: to class like that and wife beaters and crocs. I
- 9:17Speaker 3: have to pull up the exact article, but he already
- 9:20Speaker 3: kind of put out this for his players already that
- 9:24Speaker 3: he doesn't want his players going to class like that.
- 9:28Speaker 6: Now, bad producer. As we go to Brea, I just
- 9:31Speaker 6: want to hear your opinion because we're talking about Tuskey University,
- 9:35Speaker 6: and we're not talking about twelve thousand, three hundred semester.
- 9:39Speaker 6: We're talking about IVY League prices, prices, We're talking about
- 9:45Speaker 6: forty two grand out of state, thirty seven in state
- 9:50Speaker 6: type tuition out of state.
- 9:55Speaker 11: Well, you know, Juske is one of those schools in
- 9:59Speaker 11: the prestigious suspect circle of More when you say Morehouse Tuskee,
- 10:04Speaker 11: those universities run together as far as academics and.
- 10:10Speaker 3: Of black scholars here in America.
- 10:12Speaker 11: But what I liked about like about it is that
- 10:15Speaker 11: not only talking about on campus, but any professional meeting
- 10:19Speaker 11: you have to go to or business meetings, you have
- 10:23Speaker 11: to wear a business suit and appropriate shoes when.
- 10:27Speaker 3: You go at me.
- 10:28Speaker 11: So in other words, if they just have a meeting,
- 10:29Speaker 11: they have to put on a suit again, you have
- 10:32Speaker 11: to put on a suit and tie. So I'm trying
- 10:34Speaker 11: to get back to that time of you mean that's
- 10:38Speaker 11: the staff or no, you're just a student.
- 10:41Speaker 3: Yes, if you have a meeting, that falls on the
- 10:45Speaker 3: organization itself.
- 10:47Speaker 6: If we're having an official meeting and my organization lets
- 10:50Speaker 6: you show up anyway, that's well.
- 10:52Speaker 3: When the president of organization is just like that too. Yeah,
- 10:55Speaker 3: what I'm saying, and I can. I can be a
- 10:57Speaker 3: witness to the Tuskegee And I imagine whoever the current
- 11:01Speaker 3: president is probably somewhere around my age. And when we
- 11:08Speaker 3: would go and drive down from Auburn to Tuski, they
- 11:13Speaker 3: look like and they was dressed to not the nine
- 11:17Speaker 3: to the eleventh. Yes, it looked like two am Vegas
- 11:23Speaker 3: club during the day. I'm talking about clean clean can
- 11:29Speaker 3: get like get down on campus. Where are you where
- 11:32Speaker 3: y'all going class? No, the president, the president of the
- 11:40Speaker 3: United States must be visiting. No, bro, I'm just heading
- 11:43Speaker 3: the lunch and some of them were just coming to
- 11:46Speaker 3: stand on the quad. I don't even go to school
- 11:54Speaker 3: even registered.
- 11:56Speaker 6: I just put on my skinny tie with my my
- 12:00Speaker 6: suit at my Stacey Adams quick question.
- 12:03Speaker 3: Do you think a lot now Tusky?
- 12:05Speaker 11: In the last couple of years they've had some incidents
- 12:07Speaker 11: on campus during homecoming and got some bad press.
- 12:12Speaker 3: This came from this?
- 12:13Speaker 11: Is this gonna help direct? Are they sitting a benchmark
- 12:17Speaker 11: for other HBCUs know we've.
- 12:20Speaker 3: We've reported more houses, had some some different dress codes.
- 12:23Speaker 3: I think they're getting along. I'm saying they're part of
- 12:26Speaker 3: that first group. It sounds like, but I think that
- 12:30Speaker 3: dressing is part of the mindset in which you actually
- 12:36Speaker 3: It's almost like stepping out of one spot in mind
- 12:41Speaker 3: to the next spot.
- 12:42Speaker 6: Makes me easy, makes it easier to identify the trouble
- 12:45Speaker 6: makers too. Couldn't have been one of them dudes with
- 12:48Speaker 6: the skinny tie on, can be guy in the suit.
- 12:51Speaker 3: It's got to be one of them, do rad guys,
- 12:52Speaker 3: We'll be back more than Sports Jock Show right after.
- 12:55Speaker 12: This, and then I repeat the damsels in distress, but
- 13:02Speaker 12: the mess they are like mine.
- 13:05Speaker 4: Don't go away. More of the Sports Jock Show with
- 13:08Speaker 4: Wayne Danzidius coming up.

- 14:18Speaker 14: neighbor's home for dinner for the first time, how would
- 14:21Speaker 14: you ask if there are any unlocked guns in the home.
- 14:23Speaker 8: Hey, hey, we're so excited for tonight. Before we come over, though,
- 14:27Speaker 8: may ask if there are any unlocked guns in your home.
- 14:30Speaker 15: Our guns are stored securely, locked in a safe that
- 14:33Speaker 15: the kids can't access.
- 14:35Speaker 3: Awesome.

- 15:25Speaker 13: Now it's time to present the Jock of the Day
- 15:28Speaker 13: on the Sports Jock Show's.
- 15:30Speaker 4: Taken it to a completely different level.
- 15:32Speaker 13: This year where we highlight an appoli that has taken
- 15:35Speaker 13: their game to the next level.
- 15:48Speaker 1: Good do.
- 15:56Speaker 3: Welc back to this war Shock shop. I'm this war
- 15:58Speaker 3: Shock Wayne Yd. We're doing a little outcast Goodie mob
- 16:04Speaker 3: dunionon family for you today in honor of our man
- 16:08Speaker 3: Andrew Jones, the brave center fielder going into the Hall
- 16:13Speaker 3: of Fame yesterday in Cooper'stown, New York. Three members going
- 16:21Speaker 3: in Andrew Jones, Carlos Beltran, and Jeff Kimp I mean,
- 16:26Speaker 3: excuse me, Kent going in from the San Francisco Giants.
- 16:31Speaker 3: My question, guys, once again, and I guess every time
- 16:34Speaker 3: this comes up, I'm gonna always get back to Roger Clemens.
- 16:42Speaker 3: Seven Cy Young most Cy Young's ever won by a
- 16:51Speaker 3: baseball player, Barry Bonds seven MVPs, the most MVPs won
- 17:03Speaker 3: by any baseball player, kind of how we talked about
- 17:10Speaker 3: with Bill Belichick. We're still back here. The next MVP
- 17:15Speaker 3: is show he Ad Toney, he has four. That's how
- 17:17Speaker 3: far Barry Bonds. My question, you, guys, is seven MVPs.
- 17:24Speaker 3: Barry Bond seven most all time. How did you vote
- 17:32Speaker 3: as writers for these guys to make the Hall of Fame?
- 17:36Speaker 3: I mean for them to win these awards, but not
- 17:42Speaker 3: to go in the Hall of Fame. How does that work?
- 17:48Speaker 3: Because you are the ones who voted, right, you know,
- 17:52Speaker 3: I would imagine the same names that have a right
- 17:54Speaker 3: to vote for MVPs. Why did you get Barry Bonds
- 18:00Speaker 3: VP but won't let him go to the Hall of Fame.
- 18:07Speaker 3: It is showing you the personal uh, and the difference.
- 18:11Speaker 3: To me, I think that his stats and what he
- 18:15Speaker 3: during that year, they can't they can't argue with that
- 18:18Speaker 3: seven years.
- 18:19Speaker 11: Well no, I'm talking about the times that he won everything,
- 18:22Speaker 11: he was on top of his game, and they can't.
- 18:24Speaker 11: You really can't say, well, he don't deserve it. But
- 18:27Speaker 11: when it comes to the Hall of Fame, they can
- 18:29Speaker 11: hide behind that he didn't did this or it's alleged that.
- 18:35Speaker 3: But my thing is, these.
- 18:37Speaker 11: Sports writers, can we I won't see the list of
- 18:41Speaker 11: these some of these sports writers who have the vote.
- 18:43Speaker 3: Can we check you? Can we background check you?
- 18:47Speaker 5: Uh?
- 18:47Speaker 3: You got seven more than any picture ever?
- 18:51Speaker 16: Right?
- 18:52Speaker 3: Right? There is no positive drug tests, but there is speculation, speculation,
- 18:58Speaker 3: But can I can't incarcrate you on speculation, Kenna, No,
- 19:03Speaker 3: that's that's not proof. The only close thing I know
- 19:06Speaker 3: is conspiracy. So why did I vote you for the
- 19:10Speaker 3: cy Young and then when it came around for the
- 19:13Speaker 3: Hall of Fame basically withdraw my vote?
- 19:19Speaker 6: And bad producers just said now, just like there have
- 19:23Speaker 6: been speculation, there's no speculation. There's been speculation about drugs,
- 19:30Speaker 6: but no drug use that we can positive drug tests prove.
- 19:36Speaker 6: There's speculation, I would say about things like collusion and uh,
- 19:42Speaker 6: a systematic blocking and exclusion and a black balling and
- 19:48Speaker 6: a what did you say, a bad producer? I wrote
- 19:51Speaker 6: conspiracy because there's there's no way that out of all
- 19:54Speaker 6: the writers, I don't know who they are because they
- 19:56Speaker 6: kind of keep them secret. Some of them tell you
- 19:58Speaker 6: who they are, But out of all the is not
- 20:00Speaker 6: one of them. See the logic in what you're saying.
- 20:03Speaker 6: You can't convince me. You can't convince me that if
- 20:06Speaker 6: like thirty of us got a vote in all of
- 20:08Speaker 6: this time, not four of us would go hold on
- 20:12Speaker 6: man hold on now seven MVPs Brouh, the next closest guy.
- 20:18Speaker 6: You can't tell me somebody wouldn't see the logic in that,
- 20:20Speaker 6: and so every year you get passed over. Every year
- 20:24Speaker 6: you don't get in, it's because someone and I don't
- 20:27Speaker 6: know who that person or those people are, has said
- 20:31Speaker 6: he will not get in. He will not these two
- 20:36Speaker 6: people for whatever reason, we will not Bill Belichick. Come on, man,
- 20:41Speaker 6: you can't tell me somebody ain't sitting around in the
- 20:43Speaker 6: room going you know, they gonna find out.
- 20:45Speaker 3: This is all brick.
- 20:47Speaker 6: If we don't let Belichick in and nail some we
- 20:49Speaker 6: don't care keep him out because I don't know if
- 20:52Speaker 6: you ever watched the Grammys, but I saw a sound
- 20:55Speaker 6: clip where Jay Z presented an award, but before he did,
- 20:59Speaker 6: he mention that, you know, this is the same body
- 21:02Speaker 6: of people who give Beyonce awards for selling the most albums,
- 21:07Speaker 6: and she's got the number one singles, and she's got
- 21:11Speaker 6: the most towards sales, and she never wins a Grammy.
- 21:15Speaker 6: So by your own metrics that don't make sense. You're
- 21:18Speaker 6: saying she's the most successful artist in the world, but
- 21:22Speaker 6: she never win a Grammy.
- 21:24Speaker 3: So that's you know, command she greg I got seven MVPs,
- 21:28Speaker 3: I got seven cyngs. You don't have a failed drug test.
- 21:35Speaker 9: You just have.
- 21:38Speaker 3: Speculation. Why does that give you the power after you've
- 21:43Speaker 3: already granted me the highest awards seven different times. I
- 21:52Speaker 3: think the writers.
- 21:55Speaker 7: Are reacting as if they were fooled, and I think
- 22:00Speaker 7: they take it personally. I thought that people vote for
- 22:04Speaker 7: the Baseball Hall of Fame in particular, that that is
- 22:07Speaker 7: hating on the highest level for guys who we saw
- 22:10Speaker 7: how good they were and they can't get in. And
- 22:14Speaker 7: in this case with Roger Clemens and Barry Bonds, yeah
- 22:18Speaker 7: they got they got those awards like you, but now
- 22:21Speaker 7: you feel that you were fooled by them because they're
- 22:24Speaker 7: alleged to have taken peds and now you gotta like, well,
- 22:31Speaker 7: we gotta punish them for that, because I think you
- 22:35Speaker 7: took peds. There's no failed drug test. You have no evidence,
- 22:39Speaker 7: but they take it as their it is their right
- 22:44Speaker 7: or it is their prerogative to keep them out of
- 22:48Speaker 7: the Hall of Fame as punishment.
- 22:50Speaker 3: Now, people like Alex Rodriguez failed a drug test. Mark McGuire,
- 22:55Speaker 3: the great cardinal in Oakland A's after his career, he
- 22:59Speaker 3: did met So you have in those cases where evidence
- 23:08Speaker 3: the whole those two great names out, but you don't
- 23:11Speaker 3: have any evidence and.
- 23:13Speaker 6: He's been Now, this is something I want to ask
- 23:16Speaker 6: you said they take it personal. I just looked at
- 23:19Speaker 6: up Barry Bonds retired after the two thousand and seven seasons,
- 23:23Speaker 6: so he's been out of the league about a dub.
- 23:26Speaker 6: And some of these writers weren't writers.
- 23:29Speaker 3: Were they?
- 23:31Speaker 7: But there they're not. They may not necessarily say alleged
- 23:35Speaker 7: performance enhancing drugs. They may they may hinted that, they
- 23:37Speaker 7: may actually say it. But for the most part, the
- 23:40Speaker 7: thing with Barry Bonds is he did have a great
- 23:42Speaker 7: relationship with the media.
- 23:44Speaker 6: And I'm saying so, and that's something that they insert
- 23:49Speaker 6: I think in that industry, and that some of these
- 23:51Speaker 6: guys probably weren't work working in the media. Some of
- 23:55Speaker 6: these guys probably didn't have a vote twenty years ago,
- 23:58Speaker 6: and they're still willing to side with the no, don't
- 24:01Speaker 6: let him go people because that's kind of what.
- 24:05Speaker 7: There would have to be more younger writers like they Basically,
- 24:09Speaker 7: those those older voters got.
- 24:12Speaker 3: It and I don't. I don't know that their votes
- 24:15Speaker 3: ever expire. Well, they're given to them, so they can
- 24:19Speaker 3: always vote as writers. But it is a writer's as
- 24:24Speaker 3: I always inform you, all these awards from the heisman
- 24:29Speaker 3: to MVP the Hall of Fame. These things were started
- 24:33Speaker 3: by writers, and they eventually let people who were inducted
- 24:38Speaker 3: in have a vote as well, but it's still Writers' awards.
- 24:43Speaker 3: I just don't know how you wrote for me to
- 24:45Speaker 3: get the m v P. But you and the blinders
- 24:50Speaker 3: on with that, and then you tell me I can't
- 24:53Speaker 3: go to the Hall of Fame and Barry Bonds and
- 24:56Speaker 3: Roger Clemens's career will be back. Talk about the Philadelphia
- 25:02Speaker 3: World Champion possibly seventy six right after this.
- 25:08Speaker 17: I know about it like the star own the screen.
- 25:10Speaker 4: Watch me to ballow it now.

- 25:37Speaker 2: us kids and our cell phones. Distracted driving was the
- 25:41Speaker 2: cause of more than three thousand deaths in twenty twenty two.
- 25:44Speaker 3: Come on, we're smarter than this.

- 28:06Speaker 3: It's like, welcome back to this what shock sham, this
- 28:11Speaker 3: what shock Wayne Candy, good morning. Tell you out there
- 28:13Speaker 3: this single land, Big Kenny the funny man himself, the
- 28:16Speaker 3: BABADUSA command you Greg in the building. Uh, we were
- 28:19Speaker 3: just talking about the Hall of Fame that ceremony was yesterday.
- 28:23Speaker 3: The guys were doing the break talking about commissioners like
- 28:26Speaker 3: Bud Seedlig and uh, before we get around the Lebron James.
- 28:29Speaker 3: One thing, just like, uh, the commissioner for the w
- 28:33Speaker 3: n B A you're not, as a player, necessarily supposed
- 28:38Speaker 3: to like the commissioner. Just so y'all can know that
- 28:43Speaker 3: the commissioner works for the teams, not for the players.
- 28:52Speaker 3: When I hear things about the w NBA and the
- 28:54Speaker 3: players be talking, the commissioner is supposed to be making
- 28:58Speaker 3: decisions to push the league, not you, not for what
- 29:03Speaker 3: you like. The commissioner's not supposed to just pay you.
- 29:09Speaker 3: His commission comes that every dollar he can save the
- 29:13Speaker 3: thirty two teams, the thirty teams, the twenty eight teams,
- 29:16Speaker 3: the sixteen seventeen teams of the WNBA. It's money he gets,
- 29:20Speaker 3: I don't I think sometimes you you got to remember
- 29:24Speaker 3: that there's a head of the players Association whose job
- 29:28Speaker 3: is to try to protect the players. But Roger Goodell
- 29:36Speaker 3: works for the thirty two owners. Patrick Mahomes worked for
- 29:41Speaker 3: the Hunt family. So when you got to my budd Celick,
- 29:48Speaker 3: Bud Selick would get in the home of the funny
- 29:50Speaker 3: fame from the numbers are from when he took over
- 29:55Speaker 3: to where he left the league. When he left the league,
- 29:59Speaker 3: So if I out it at a dollar and I
- 30:01Speaker 3: pushed it up to nine, and how do you stop
- 30:03Speaker 3: me from going in it into the Hall of fame?
- 30:06Speaker 3: Forget what you like, forget the decisions. Y'all was worth
- 30:11Speaker 3: one dollar when I got it, bit Kenny, Yeah, well
- 30:14Speaker 3: you know I retired y'all worth nine dollars, nine whole dollars.
- 30:18Speaker 3: How do you get the nine of us got the
- 30:20Speaker 3: nine dollars? It doesn't really matter. He's not in jail
- 30:23Speaker 3: for it. And but Siegler was an owner, he was
- 30:27Speaker 3: all of that. Without it out PDS, would they have
- 30:31Speaker 3: got the nine dollars? I ain't. Y'all didn't vote for
- 30:36Speaker 3: PDS until two thousand and three. You didn't want weed
- 30:40Speaker 3: in the NBA until we're going to talk about. Steven
- 30:43Speaker 3: A wants to be more weed regulations for the WNBA.
- 30:47Speaker 3: What I'm saying is the commissioner is going on numbers
- 30:52Speaker 3: as well. But if he's getting credit, then Bonds and
- 30:55Speaker 3: Clibbings should get credit. But Bud Celic isn't keeping Beerry
- 31:00Speaker 3: Bonds and Roger Clemens out the writers. The Baseball Hall
- 31:05Speaker 3: of Fame is ran by the writers. The baseball teams
- 31:09Speaker 3: did not start the Hall of Fame. The writers did.
- 31:15Speaker 3: That's that's not That's not what I'm saying. It's how
- 31:18Speaker 3: is it?
- 31:20Speaker 9: How?
- 31:21Speaker 7: How is he getting credit for that time, for that
- 31:25Speaker 7: explosion and the players are being kept out and they
- 31:31Speaker 7: were what they did was part of that.
- 31:34Speaker 3: Exposion because you doing PDS ain't got nothing to do
- 31:38Speaker 3: with me as an owner. But you made more money.
- 31:43Speaker 3: You made you made more money as a team, and
- 31:46Speaker 3: Bud Sealey got credit for the expansion of marketing or
- 31:50Speaker 3: whatever I can at the game. I can't enforce a
- 31:53Speaker 3: rule that wasn't a rule, but Ceilic can't just automatic.
- 32:00Speaker 3: It was somebody and they're being kept out and it
- 32:02Speaker 3: wasn't a rule. Do you need to talk to the owners?
- 32:05Speaker 3: How was you need to talk to the players Association? Yeah?
- 32:13Speaker 6: I'm surprised that when it comes to Barry, Bonds and Clemens,
- 32:17Speaker 6: they don't have someone from.
- 32:22Speaker 3: Major League Baseball, even the Players Association currently involved with
- 32:26Speaker 3: baseball speaking up, saying wait a minute, someone to advocate
- 32:31Speaker 3: build a bridge with the writers on some what's going on?
- 32:34Speaker 6: With y'all because you know, honestly, we're we're letting in
- 32:38Speaker 6: talent that doesn't measure even close to what these people
- 32:43Speaker 6: have done in the Hall of Fame.
- 32:45Speaker 3: Are we watering down the Hall of Fame?
- 32:47Speaker 6: Or are we just punishing these people for crimes that
- 32:50Speaker 6: they haven't been found guilty of. So I'm amazed that
- 32:55Speaker 6: the writers have the power that they have, and that
- 32:57Speaker 6: it is to me, seems to be absolute when nobody's
- 33:01Speaker 6: trying to change it or snatch it back or dilute
- 33:05Speaker 6: it any But you would.
- 33:07Speaker 3: Have to go and start your own hall of fame
- 33:10Speaker 3: Hall of Fame, Yeah, I suppose. So the baseball players
- 33:14Speaker 3: as a whole would have to take and decide they're
- 33:17Speaker 3: going to start a players only Hall of Fame where
- 33:20Speaker 3: they have the power. The writers have the power because
- 33:25Speaker 3: they started the Heisman Trophy. They got together and said
- 33:29Speaker 3: we're going to vote every year. Now, college and everybody
- 33:33Speaker 3: got the benefit from that being a situation. Now, now
- 33:39Speaker 3: do we know how many writers have a vote for
- 33:42Speaker 3: a baseball Hall of Fame? No, I'm are they sure?
- 33:49Speaker 3: Is that players have to get seventy five percent of those,
- 33:53Speaker 3: And see, to me, that sounds a little bit sketchy.
- 33:55Speaker 6: Any it might be just one old dude that calls
- 33:59Speaker 6: themselves the baseball writers are just sitting around mad.
- 34:03Speaker 16: You know.
- 34:03Speaker 4: Bearbon's another again.
- 34:05Speaker 3: In and people sometimes in business, some people John Grutin
- 34:13Speaker 3: didn't build the Bucks that won the Super Bowl. Tony
- 34:19Speaker 3: Dundee did, right, But John gruton that got the job
- 34:23Speaker 3: and the credit. When you're president, you don't know when
- 34:29Speaker 3: the revolution of what's going to make the economy explode
- 34:32Speaker 3: goes up. Yeah, when we went switching from cassette tapes
- 34:39Speaker 3: the DVDs, just like right now, we're in ai revolution. Right,
- 34:47Speaker 3: So whoever's the president during this period, we'll get the
- 34:51Speaker 3: credit without necessarily having to make a bunch of moves
- 34:57Speaker 3: that the stock market is at all time high. Whoever
- 35:02Speaker 3: was running the country at the real estate debacle right
- 35:08Speaker 3: got the blame. They got the blame for that. So
- 35:13Speaker 3: I'm with you. I'm not saying where the bud celix
- 35:15Speaker 3: should be. And this is I'm saying a commissioner is
- 35:19Speaker 3: just all about Roger Goodell got it at one dollar,
- 35:24Speaker 3: pushed it up the nine.
- 35:27Speaker 6: In six years something like that. That's that's things that count.
- 35:32Speaker 6: Uh and and and again I would just I find
- 35:37Speaker 6: it dubious that we don't know how many votes there are.
- 35:42Speaker 6: We don't know how where these people at. We it's
- 35:46Speaker 6: just a system that we keep being told has decided
- 35:51Speaker 6: that these people don't qualify, and that that is that's
- 35:55Speaker 6: so Unamerican of us today, because we want we the
- 35:59Speaker 6: same folks.
- 36:01Speaker 3: Go online and find out where you work.
- 36:04Speaker 6: You're an individual and you just walking down the street
- 36:06Speaker 6: and you dump trash on the street, they'll find out
- 36:08Speaker 6: where you work and get you fired. But we can't
- 36:11Speaker 6: find out who the baseball writers are.
- 36:13Speaker 3: Oh, I'm quite sure we googled it. If we were
- 36:15Speaker 3: in we could get a list of them. They would
- 36:21Speaker 3: provide for us and we could see how many, would
- 36:23Speaker 3: you think?
- 36:23Speaker 6: But I don't think you would get a what, who
- 36:25Speaker 6: and where they voted? They voted, okay, the situation right,
- 36:29Speaker 6: not a matter of public right.
- 36:33Speaker 3: That was all I was with the commission When y'all
- 36:35Speaker 3: was talking about the commissioner, I was just wondering, y'all
- 36:37Speaker 3: do know the commissioner works for the teams. Everything they're
- 36:42Speaker 3: going to try to do is for the team more
- 36:44Speaker 3: than the player. And the writers own the Hall of Fame.
- 36:47Speaker 3: You saw as big Kenny was saying with the Wnbanfesta
- 36:53Speaker 3: caller and Breonna Stewart went in created the Rivalry League
- 36:57Speaker 3: or whatever rivals what does that call that league they start?
- 37:02Speaker 3: So Lebron James and Chris Paul would have to go
- 37:05Speaker 3: and start the Players Hall of Fame m hmm and
- 37:11Speaker 3: decide who would vote. The only two votes would be
- 37:16Speaker 3: there too, you know what I'm saying. They would have
- 37:19Speaker 3: to go galvanize the other players and decide they want
- 37:23Speaker 3: a player based Yeah, kind of like the ESPNN did
- 37:27Speaker 3: with the Spies. They created their own awards show. They
- 37:35Speaker 3: give their own athlete of the year, sports illustrator give
- 37:37Speaker 3: their own athlete of the Year.
- 37:40Speaker 6: So and it took some time to catch fire, but
- 37:44Speaker 6: now it is one of the premier sports.
- 37:46Speaker 3: I got an issue with the Heights because only two
- 37:51Speaker 3: defensive player in the history of the Wars ever won
- 37:55Speaker 3: Charles Woodson Travis Hunner, and they had to do more
- 37:58Speaker 3: than just play defense wreck. So basically it's an offensive award,
- 38:03Speaker 3: and really it's a quarterback running back award because ninety
- 38:07Speaker 3: five percent of the award is going to a running
- 38:10Speaker 3: back or a quarterback. I think like four or five
- 38:14Speaker 3: receivers of one exactly.
- 38:20Speaker 6: So sixteen of the last sixteen of the last twenty
- 38:24Speaker 6: has been quarterbacks from seventy something the eighty running backs
- 38:31Speaker 6: won it eleven years in a row, so it became
- 38:34Speaker 6: an award.
- 38:35Speaker 3: That was just offensive. So you tell me there's never
- 38:37Speaker 3: been a linebacker. And then it seems like it's like
- 38:42Speaker 3: when the writers are this is what the writers are
- 38:45Speaker 3: voting in.
- 38:46Speaker 6: It seems like they sort of follow a trend too,
- 38:48Speaker 6: because once a running back, when they start looking for
- 38:51Speaker 6: the next running back to put in that place, instead
- 38:54Speaker 6: of just looking for the best college player, they start
- 38:57Speaker 6: looking for the back that's better than this guy to
- 39:00Speaker 6: justify giving it to him.
- 39:01Speaker 3: So I don't know, Uh, the biggest light that ever
- 39:09Speaker 3: been turned on for me is when you told me
- 39:11Speaker 3: that the five star ranking was something that writers came
- 39:14Speaker 3: up with. I had no idea.
- 39:15Speaker 6: That's not.
- 39:18Speaker 3: Just the local I'm saying. A bunch of the fact
- 39:20Speaker 3: guys that had got that the back of this stuff
- 39:23Speaker 3: was man made blew my mind.
- 39:26Speaker 6: I thought that somewhere on Olympus Odin was like Zeus
- 39:31Speaker 6: was like, hey, look man, you Hercules, but this your
- 39:36Speaker 6: cousin gotta do something.
- 39:37Speaker 3: Steve Spurry making him in charge of ranking.
- 39:40Speaker 11: Steven Spurry exposed it when he went to South Carolina
- 39:43Speaker 11: because when they used to beat Georgie, he said, they
- 39:44Speaker 11: go to Georgia file stars, they leave the tubes him.
- 39:53Speaker 3: I was sitting somewhere like give him another star.
- 39:56Speaker 6: Yeah, the more camps you go too, they will rank
- 40:01Speaker 6: you higher. Or they could just pay me and we'll
- 40:03Speaker 6: be back more than sports jocksha.
- 40:06Speaker 3: Cliche.
- 40:07Speaker 12: So proper style and whole purpose is to make me
- 40:09Speaker 12: feel a little. I guess see why don't not say? Look,
- 40:11Speaker 12: why I ain't for that gets Let me explain on

- 42:26Speaker 6: I'll sing even the Big Janny, Welcome back to the
- 42:30Speaker 6: Sports Shock Show.
- 42:31Speaker 3: I'm the Sportshock Wayne Candy, Good morning, see you out
- 42:34Speaker 3: there in this thing land. Lebron James, the King, has
- 42:39Speaker 3: decided to go to get him a cheese steak. Will
- 42:43Speaker 3: it be Geno's or pets? We will soon see. Trust me.
- 42:49Speaker 3: Lebron made that choice thirty years ago. He was flying
- 42:52Speaker 3: in cheese steaks to his high school team, back when
- 42:56Speaker 3: Sports Illustrated was footing the bill. Yeah, I don't know.
- 43:01Speaker 4: It didn't just start when he got to the NBA. Now,
- 43:04Speaker 4: he'd been the King for a long time.
- 43:08Speaker 3: But Lebron has decided to go and at least play
- 43:13Speaker 3: this season. It's a two year deal to play with
- 43:17Speaker 3: the Sixers, but I imagine things can happen where this
- 43:22Speaker 3: could be the last year and the number one thing
- 43:26Speaker 3: of that is hoisting up another trophy. Could easily be
- 43:32Speaker 3: his last moment and end on that note, or it
- 43:37Speaker 3: could inspire him winning a trophy to come back and
- 43:40Speaker 3: try for that next year. But at least for this year,
- 43:42Speaker 3: we have the pleasure of watching him play with a
- 43:46Speaker 3: team where you figure they're going to go deep into
- 43:49Speaker 3: the playoffs, and their biggest issue will be about health Lebron,
- 43:58Speaker 3: who will be forty two later this year and his health,
- 44:03Speaker 3: Joelo Beebe who over the lies four or five years
- 44:07Speaker 3: have definitely been UH suspect of when he's available, Jalen Brown, Tyrese, Maxie. Now,
- 44:16Speaker 3: you got Carwell Pope most likely coming off the bench.
- 44:20Speaker 3: You got that young little first second year got its
- 44:25Speaker 3: comb as well. Hard team to beat if healthy guys. Yeah,
- 44:33Speaker 3: they're gonna be hard.
- 44:34Speaker 11: It's gonna be because they went deep in the playoffs
- 44:39Speaker 11: this year and Uh Bee was wasn't he had a
- 44:44Speaker 11: couple of unhealthy issues there and Maxie.
- 44:50Speaker 3: What he was out also, So it's sort of Philadelphia.
- 44:57Speaker 7: It's possible that it's going to be unreal, realistic, high
- 45:01Speaker 7: expectations again because I think it's going to depend more
- 45:07Speaker 7: on Lebron's going to a team where at best he's
- 45:13Speaker 7: the fourth guy and why he may be the best
- 45:18Speaker 7: fourth option of all time even at this age. I
- 45:23Speaker 7: think that is we're we are way past the UH
- 45:27Speaker 7: time of we can win a championship because simply we
- 45:31Speaker 7: have Lebron. We're way past that. But it's gonna it's
- 45:35Speaker 7: going to depend more on how Embiid Maxi and Jalen
- 45:39Speaker 7: Brown do rather than Lebron's contributions. It's it's great to
- 45:44Speaker 7: have him, but you can't lean on him to be
- 45:48Speaker 7: your top guy and make a deep playoff run with
- 45:51Speaker 7: the Red if those other guys aren't there.
- 45:55Speaker 6: First of all, I want to call your attention to things.
- 45:58Speaker 6: One told y'all, I ton'd you how he was going
- 46:01Speaker 6: to Philadelphia. He going to Philadelphia. Second thing, he has
- 46:08Speaker 6: made such an impact that a man who wouldn't even
- 46:10Speaker 6: say his name before when we talked about him when
- 46:14Speaker 6: he was with the Lakers is now wharing a Philadelphia
- 46:17Speaker 6: seventy six ers hat in honor of Lebron James.
- 46:22Speaker 3: Now, if that ain't a change in mindset, I don't
- 46:27Speaker 3: know what he is.
- 46:29Speaker 6: Difference with him in Philadelphia I think is he's always
- 46:33Speaker 6: like in the last couple of years he might have
- 46:35Speaker 6: been a fourth guy, but with the Lakers he was
- 46:37Speaker 6: a fourth guy with first guy expectations. He can go
- 46:41Speaker 6: to Philadelphia and actually be just a really murderous fourth
- 46:45Speaker 6: guy because these.
- 46:46Speaker 3: Other guys are good.
- 46:48Speaker 6: They just you know, Joel n b get you some sleep,
- 46:51Speaker 6: get on a weight program or some exercise, those ankles,
- 46:55Speaker 6: big guy.
- 46:55Speaker 3: Well, you know what I mean.
- 46:58Speaker 11: Is this is where you going out speaking with someone
- 47:02Speaker 11: who the last person to win a championship for eighty three,
- 47:06Speaker 11: that's on that team.
- 47:07Speaker 3: I called him. He said, Twitty, don't start that. Who
- 47:10Speaker 3: is that?
- 47:11Speaker 11: Mister Andrew Tony, He said, don't start that. Lebron forty one.
- 47:15Speaker 11: We ain't got him in our prime, said y'all, y'all
- 47:19Speaker 11: killing me. But so basically, just gotta let the game play.
- 47:25Speaker 11: And and he's gonna be the third best option, Joel
- 47:30Speaker 11: Embiid got to play concentrat on defense.
- 47:32Speaker 3: You don't need don't need a bead for his offense. Well,
- 47:35Speaker 3: I'm gonna go out on a limb right here, and
- 47:37Speaker 3: and and and tell you that Lebron James, it is
- 47:43Speaker 3: never the fourth option. He's never the third option. He's
- 47:49Speaker 3: never the second option. He is the best option to
- 47:56Speaker 3: win a championship. Whatever he's gonna want to do on
- 48:00Speaker 3: the floor with a team determines whether they win. He's
- 48:08Speaker 3: not gonna he's not regulated to taking the fourth shot.
- 48:13Speaker 3: The other guys want to rally around him like magic
- 48:17Speaker 3: Jaylen Brown, first throw the ball up is what he said.
- 48:24Speaker 3: They're gonna all let him be him when when he
- 48:29Speaker 3: wasn't the second option last year to Luca, Luca just
- 48:33Speaker 3: shot the most because who took him into the playoffs,
- 48:39Speaker 3: but Luca was out him and the god he didn't
- 48:45Speaker 3: have to help.
- 48:45Speaker 6: But the Sixers were in a vine of thinking, maybe
- 48:49Speaker 6: they'll win a championship right now with Lebron their championship
- 48:54Speaker 6: their mentality, yeah, they I can't I can't believe. I'm
- 48:58Speaker 6: actually it'll make mb burkerts ankles out. But it's still
- 49:02Speaker 6: Maxims team.
- 49:03Speaker 11: Though he's still Lebron, He's still but it is Maxi's
- 49:07Speaker 11: team and he will understand that. And he doesn't have
- 49:10Speaker 11: to worry about the the the pressure or for him
- 49:15Speaker 11: to go to Philadelphia, the sports city that where they
- 49:19Speaker 11: cussed out Santa Claus. I mean to me to go
- 49:22Speaker 11: to a city where they ride you, I mean, that's
- 49:26Speaker 11: showing that Lebron already been rolled. But that's to go
- 49:30Speaker 11: to That's what I'm saying. And plus he got some help.
- 49:32Speaker 11: The Eagles have won and the Phillies have won, and
- 49:35Speaker 11: so the basketball pressure is not that hard for him.
- 49:38Speaker 3: He just got to go in there and and everybody
- 49:40Speaker 3: say him when we've seen Lebron and the Olympics. What
- 49:47Speaker 3: do the Olympic players do when they play with Lebron
- 49:52Speaker 3: that Lebron Lebron, Steph goes to the corner KD going
- 49:59Speaker 3: the morning, get the ball to Bruns.
- 50:02Speaker 6: I'm just trying to tell you it's not the sixers
- 50:05Speaker 6: were almost there. This makes them feel like we got
- 50:08Speaker 6: that piece. This is we had the window. The window
- 50:12Speaker 6: it is only open.
- 50:13Speaker 7: He'll be more of a facilitator, making place for others
- 50:17Speaker 7: rather than being that leading score.
- 50:19Speaker 3: He has under twenty points this year, but his stats
- 50:22Speaker 3: will be he'll be under twenty. He still need to
- 50:24Speaker 3: master more. I bet you will have average more than
- 50:28Speaker 3: more than twenty. Did he just say?
- 50:32Speaker 6: Then he say, you say you said he won't average
- 50:34Speaker 6: twenty under twenty more under He's that's what That's what he's.
- 50:41Speaker 3: Wanting to do. You're under twenty. I'm not a statement,
- 50:46Speaker 3: but you said it. But you said it.
- 50:48Speaker 6: So you're wearing the seventy six hat, but you still
- 50:51Speaker 6: a person under that hat. You're still the same person.
- 50:55Speaker 6: After this will be back.
- 51:00Speaker 5: Can you.
- 51:02Speaker 3: Think don't go away?
- 51:08Speaker 4: Or of the Sports Josh Show with Wayne Gan videos

- 52:05Speaker 15: Our guns are stored securely, locked in a safe that

- 52:18Speaker 4: And now back to the sports. John Wayne Yandy.
- 52:22Speaker 6: Center Cord on Sports News Gossip BLib blah blab.
- 52:29Speaker 3: Blah, old school TuS to school moves. Can't keep it
- 52:35Speaker 3: chopping like King the brooms. Let's do it on the

- 52:42Speaker 4: Oh the school, take us to get the school moves.
- 52:44Speaker 3: Can't keep it chopping like King.
- 52:46Speaker 4: Let's do it on the bar, try the lot, change
- 52:50Speaker 4: the broop.
- 52:51Speaker 3: Welcome back to this woe shop, shop this sport shock
- 52:53Speaker 3: wing candy Lebron James deciding to go to Philly overteen
- 53:00Speaker 3: like Cleveland with a lot of people because that's his hometown.
- 53:04Speaker 3: He would have had Donovan Mitchell there if he went
- 53:06Speaker 3: there in a team that was forecast to do some
- 53:09Speaker 3: big things. None of the teams that he was supposed
- 53:14Speaker 3: to go to weren't teams that if you add him,
- 53:20Speaker 3: you'd feel the same way about. I think this to
- 53:23Speaker 3: me when I'm watching him. This might be about workload.
- 53:28Speaker 3: This is that on those back to backs, I don't
- 53:31Speaker 3: have to feel like we're gonna lose if I don't
- 53:36Speaker 3: play like he's been with the Lakers. You felt like
- 53:41Speaker 3: when he was with the Lakers, whenever he's not going
- 53:43Speaker 3: to be in the lineup, they were gonna lose the game,
- 53:48Speaker 3: he can go play tonight and know tomorrow no matter
- 53:51Speaker 3: who they play, Joel Jalen and Tyreeth and maybe the
- 54:00Speaker 3: doors open. I mean he might, he might be able
- 54:03Speaker 3: to set out two three games just rest up for
- 54:05Speaker 3: the playoffs. Well, back that kind of management of his
- 54:09Speaker 3: time and energy. That back to what you on the
- 54:13Speaker 3: night I feel thirty five. I'll give you thirty five,
- 54:16Speaker 3: but night I feel like I can just be twenty
- 54:19Speaker 3: eighteen eighteen be good. But back to what you were
- 54:23Speaker 3: saying about the other teams that they were looking at.
- 54:26Speaker 3: He could go to and Miami even though they had
- 54:31Speaker 3: Joannison any band, but they don't have that with Edgecombe
- 54:37Speaker 3: and Maxie. Like those scores there that and it had
- 54:42Speaker 3: been Pam scored eighty points, it had been Jonice is
- 54:47Speaker 3: a two time MVP. It had been tough. No, I'm
- 54:52Speaker 3: miss helping you with what you said. But I'm just
- 54:54Speaker 3: saying these guys aren't scores.
- 54:55Speaker 11: Well, they're scores, but I'm saying right now, this situation
- 54:59Speaker 11: he's with this, this is a better situation here.
- 55:03Speaker 3: I was just eluding hold on, no, not just alluding
- 55:07Speaker 3: to yeah, but I know that, but he he didn't
- 55:11Speaker 3: go to Miami.
- 55:11Speaker 11: But it's not the same thing in Miami, and it
- 55:13Speaker 11: wouldn't have been the same thing at Golden State. This
- 55:15Speaker 11: is it would have been tougher at those two spots,
- 55:19Speaker 11: even in Cleveland because who's him and James Harden, I
- 55:23Speaker 11: mean Donovan Mitchell that that I could see that, But
- 55:27Speaker 11: it was just gonna be that we have to acquire
- 55:29Speaker 11: some more pieces that they already had. Death and what
- 55:34Speaker 11: at Philadelphia he came into a great situation.
- 55:38Speaker 3: Well and again when all the situations was great, You're
- 55:43Speaker 3: going to Miami to play with two Hall of famers,
- 55:46Speaker 3: You're going to Cleveland to play with two Hall of famers.
- 55:52Speaker 3: I don't understand right now only one person is headed
- 55:55Speaker 3: to the Hall of Fame maybe and that's Joela bid
- 55:57Speaker 3: but he's been injured a lot. Again, I see.
- 56:07Speaker 7: What it would have possibly been a good fit, but
- 56:09Speaker 7: it's the rest of the like could he have played
- 56:13Speaker 7: with It been like he was out in the lake
- 56:14Speaker 7: and with the Lakers. It was more like if it
- 56:17Speaker 7: was a roster fit. And some story came out that
- 56:20Speaker 7: he actually wanted to play with Darius Garland, but they
- 56:22Speaker 7: traded him. He didn't traded him for for James Harden
- 56:26Speaker 7: and Max. I'm quite sure him and James played in
- 56:28Speaker 7: the summer together.
- 56:30Speaker 3: If he can play with Luca, if he can play
- 56:32Speaker 3: with Luca Duncans, he can play with anybody that's ever
- 56:35Speaker 3: dribbled a basketball. Nobody hogs the ball more than Luca.
- 56:42Speaker 3: In my opinion, I've never seen a ball hall more,
- 56:45Speaker 3: not in necessarily a bad way. But I'm saying the
- 56:47Speaker 3: position they put Luca in. We don't say ball hog anymore.
- 56:52Speaker 3: We say usage rate, usage, righte usage that.
- 57:00Speaker 6: Sounds like that sounded like wi fi sh That's the
- 57:04Speaker 6: place that sounded like your coverage play like your say.
- 57:08Speaker 3: They had to turn into a metric stat. So you
- 57:12Speaker 3: know how desperate James Harden is to win a championship.
- 57:17Speaker 3: If he could win a championship, he would go just
- 57:19Speaker 3: stand in that corner. He don't he doesn't care how
- 57:22Speaker 3: he get a championship. Right now. He's desperate for a championship,
- 57:31Speaker 3: just like Joelo b He might just become the defensive
- 57:33Speaker 3: guy you're talking about this year. And if I got
- 57:37Speaker 3: an average seventeen and block four shots, flow shots exactly
- 57:42Speaker 3: and that and get me a ring like Jalen Bronson
- 57:45Speaker 3: as a team I think saw themselves and that's that's
- 57:53Speaker 3: what called Anthony Town.
- 57:55Speaker 6: They saw themselves in the East competing and the only
- 57:58Speaker 6: thing they didn't have was the belief that we could
- 58:01Speaker 6: have done this, Like we got all the skills and
- 58:04Speaker 6: you could see it on the floor. But then something
- 58:06Speaker 6: happens and we start feeling like we're not as talented
- 58:11Speaker 6: as we are. Lebron will fix that. He'll come and
- 58:14Speaker 6: make you feel like you really is.
- 58:17Speaker 3: Man.
- 58:17Speaker 6: I knew I could jump, but man that I really
- 58:21Speaker 6: can get up. And before you know it, they start
- 58:24Speaker 6: playing like they believe. And that's the number one impact
- 58:27Speaker 6: I think he'll have in Philadelphia.
- 58:28Speaker 3: Believe and can we not look great? That's a great
- 58:30Speaker 3: point that he will put the other players, the other players,
- 58:34Speaker 3: we just need to get the game.
- 58:36Speaker 6: Yeah I can get up. If Joel and b will
- 58:38Speaker 6: go down and think, man, I can play through this
- 58:41Speaker 6: with my leg whatever it is. Instead of just going
- 58:44Speaker 6: on I'm finna go out for three weeks, He'll be like, no,
- 58:46Speaker 6: I'll tough it out.
- 58:47Speaker 11: And can we look at it like like we said,
- 58:50Speaker 11: I mean, he is Lebron James. But the thing is,
- 58:56Speaker 11: like you think about Alan Iverson, if he would at
- 58:58Speaker 11: that age when he was older and as the guy
- 59:01Speaker 11: if you were willing to go and just this is
- 59:05Speaker 11: what I look at it with Lebron. He's going to
- 59:08Speaker 11: I know that I'm the man, the man, I've still
- 59:10Speaker 11: got the name, but I'm willing to go and go
- 59:13Speaker 11: here to have a.
- 59:14Speaker 3: Chance to win and digress back still and I just
- 59:18Speaker 3: want to make sure because he was on your team.
- 59:20Speaker 3: You claim the Lakers last year, but you wouldn't say,
- 59:23Speaker 3: you know, the man average like twenty five points a game. Yeah,
- 59:26Speaker 3: I know, but you wouldn't say he still is in
- 59:29Speaker 3: the top ten and scoring. Yeah, he's going to score,
- 59:32Speaker 3: but he's still don't have deal. Was the leading assists
- 59:36Speaker 3: man on his team, but he don't have to have
- 59:38Speaker 3: all that.
- 59:40Speaker 11: Back to what you're saying, he can that he can chill,
- 59:43Speaker 11: don't have to worry about the next night. He's in
- 59:46Speaker 11: the position that he and Cruise control that you.
- 59:51Speaker 6: Won't say you used to not say Lebron James name,
- 59:54Speaker 6: but every team he go to be your team, like
- 59:57Speaker 6: last year the Lakers with your team and now you're
- 59:59Speaker 6: winning the seventy one.
- 1:00:00Speaker 22: See the story behind that. We talk about it more
- 1:00:04Speaker 22: the Sorts show right after this jump, Stop, Make, Make,
- 1:00:20Speaker 22: don't go away.

- 1:00:35Speaker 17: exactly what texting while driving is like. Your human brain

- 1:01:00Speaker 18: That's probably what the driver who killed a four year

- 1:01:05Speaker 18: feel different, you drive different. Don't drive high. Brought to

- 1:01:33Speaker 6: You may began.
- 1:01:40Speaker 9: Come come come to mine.
- 1:01:43Speaker 5: Isn't just.
- 1:01:48Speaker 3: I'm a doing Yeah, I'm gonna go on the way
- 1:01:51Speaker 3: you vegan, Welcome back to this Worstock show. I'm the
- 1:01:56Speaker 3: Woystock Wayne gandye uh. The only reason I wanted to
- 1:02:01Speaker 3: bet you, Babby Duson. I'm not sure that Lebron James
- 1:02:05Speaker 3: mc kenny command you Greg all in the building. I
- 1:02:10Speaker 3: looked at Lebron's scoring will actually be easier this year
- 1:02:19Speaker 3: because the Draymond Green type players. The coach is gonna
- 1:02:25Speaker 3: feel like they need to go for Jaylen Brown right
- 1:02:31Speaker 3: when ob Gold then there the guy that is darting.
- 1:02:34Speaker 3: Lebron has to respect Joel. So now I'm just getting
- 1:02:39Speaker 3: now so I'm gonna get a lot more layup and
- 1:02:42Speaker 3: tippings and little things like that. Based on that, I'm
- 1:02:47Speaker 3: not gonna be the guy.
- 1:02:49Speaker 6: Right that everybody only got about two three guys on
- 1:02:52Speaker 6: their team, and now here's Philadelphia with a bona fide
- 1:02:56Speaker 6: at least four. Then what's the young guy coming off
- 1:02:59Speaker 6: the bench at it's coming off? I mean, you know,
- 1:03:02Speaker 6: somebody's gonna be open. So and that was all I
- 1:03:07Speaker 6: was saying. That is, in my mind, his scoring doesn't
- 1:03:10Speaker 6: necessarily have to drop. It just might not be a
- 1:03:12Speaker 6: whole bunch of jump shots and stuff, But that's what
- 1:03:15Speaker 6: I was saying. I'm not the y'all are gonna be
- 1:03:19Speaker 6: having to do some other things, and I'm gonna end
- 1:03:21Speaker 6: up with like Big Kenny saying, the third and fifth
- 1:03:26Speaker 6: guy on me, and that's what you know on the
- 1:03:30Speaker 6: and when they do the pick and roll, that's gonna
- 1:03:32Speaker 6: be Jalen and y'all gonna be I'm just gonna be
- 1:03:34Speaker 6: down here teeth tipping and keeping it balanced.
- 1:03:38Speaker 11: Well, that's what I was saying. With the pressure, I mean,
- 1:03:40Speaker 11: he don't have to like, he don't have to worry
- 1:03:41Speaker 11: about scoring, and then it's.
- 1:03:42Speaker 3: Just gonna be easy. But the pressure is not gone.
- 1:03:45Speaker 3: The pressure is even more. The pressure still be there,
- 1:03:48Speaker 3: especially in that city.
- 1:03:49Speaker 11: No, the pressure as far as that in that city.
- 1:03:51Speaker 11: But I'm saying, as far as do he have to score,
- 1:03:53Speaker 11: do out doubt take that jump shot?
- 1:03:55Speaker 3: Do I have to know you got?
- 1:03:58Speaker 6: You got?
- 1:03:59Speaker 3: This is the thing we out we out here, He's
- 1:04:01Speaker 3: gonna create that. We out here running what we brung.
- 1:04:04Speaker 6: We we got these cars and we street racing and
- 1:04:08Speaker 6: every time I race you, you get me by zo
- 1:04:11Speaker 6: point two three seconds now. My man said, get a
- 1:04:14Speaker 6: brand new blower out and bought the blower and put
- 1:04:16Speaker 6: it on the car. Ain't no way you ought to
- 1:04:18Speaker 6: be beating me now. And that's the pressure Lebron has.
- 1:04:21Speaker 6: He the brand new blower on this massive engine. Ain't
- 1:04:24Speaker 6: no way y'all ought to be coming out the East
- 1:04:27Speaker 6: is nothing less than the champions in the East and
- 1:04:31Speaker 6: all the way to a championship.
- 1:04:33Speaker 3: Who's gonna come out the west to beat you?
- 1:04:34Speaker 6: Now? So that's the pressure he has, because everybody they
- 1:04:39Speaker 6: the governor of Pennsylvania has instituted the day he signed
- 1:04:45Speaker 6: his deal as Lebron James Day in the state. The
- 1:04:48Speaker 6: day he signed a deal has now become in perpetuity
- 1:04:54Speaker 6: a whole day for the state.
- 1:04:56Speaker 3: That's pressure.
- 1:04:57Speaker 6: So he's got the pressure, but he's got pieces around
- 1:05:00Speaker 6: him again that can help alleviate some of that pressure.
- 1:05:04Speaker 6: And I can guarantee you that New York is unnoticed now.
- 1:05:10Speaker 6: They're definitely thinking, oh yeah, New York, Boston, I love
- 1:05:13Speaker 6: you know. The Indian and the Fever story has come
- 1:05:16Speaker 6: out of there. One of the former players claims that
- 1:05:22Speaker 6: the Fever.
- 1:05:26Speaker 3: Basically didn't want to have out in the open, that
- 1:05:31Speaker 3: they fired one of the assistants for sexual harassment. Made
- 1:05:37Speaker 3: me think, guys, why is that a bad thing for
- 1:05:43Speaker 3: these organizations? Young player? You come to me, what was
- 1:05:48Speaker 3: her name? COMANCHI that that said it? Yeah, you sent
- 1:05:55Speaker 3: me the story. Oh yeah, Brianna Taylor Brianna Turner alleged
- 1:06:01Speaker 3: in her social media that the Indiana organization fired a
- 1:06:04Speaker 3: male employee last season for sexual harassment. At that the
- 1:06:11Speaker 3: Fever players were encouraged to keep quiet about it. But why, guys,
- 1:06:18Speaker 3: is that a bad thing you bring to me and
- 1:06:24Speaker 3: I fire the guy or person whoever it is. Why
- 1:06:30Speaker 3: is it wrong for me as an organization to want
- 1:06:32Speaker 3: to keep because I wrote down in house what's bad
- 1:06:37Speaker 3: about in house? To where you think that they for
- 1:06:42Speaker 3: her to feel like they shouldn't be able to because
- 1:06:45Speaker 3: I fired the person right right now? Do you think
- 1:06:48Speaker 3: that part of it? And this is just I don't know.
- 1:06:54Speaker 6: I don't know what the process is anymore for a
- 1:06:57Speaker 6: person getting fired from a job when they go to
- 1:06:59Speaker 6: another job, if we don't say nothing about why you
- 1:07:03Speaker 6: got fired from the last job, could you insert yourself
- 1:07:05Speaker 6: somewhere else in an environment where you could continue those
- 1:07:08Speaker 6: kinds of activity would be only concerned that I could
- 1:07:11Speaker 6: imagine somebody would have, because in any other capacity, I've
- 1:07:17Speaker 6: never known them to announce why somebody gets fired. We
- 1:07:20Speaker 6: just see Bob get walk to his desk by security
- 1:07:23Speaker 6: with a box, and Bob gather his stuff, and he
- 1:07:27Speaker 6: give everybody his goodbyes, and they walk Bob to his car.
- 1:07:30Speaker 3: Don't nobody ever go. You know, Bob was taking pencils
- 1:07:33Speaker 3: and he was misappropriate. We never know.
- 1:07:36Speaker 6: So I can't imagine that they would make a press
- 1:07:39Speaker 6: conference outside of the type of crime he committed and
- 1:07:44Speaker 6: the potential for that to be something that continued if
- 1:07:48Speaker 6: he goes someplace else in WNBA.
- 1:07:50Speaker 7: Man, what is wrong with the Fever just keeping this
- 1:07:55Speaker 7: in house? Well, I mean they did keep it in house.
- 1:07:58Speaker 7: Brianna Turner currently plays for the ace Is, but she
- 1:08:02Speaker 7: was on the Fever last year and her what her saying.
- 1:08:06Speaker 3: What she said is in.
- 1:08:07Speaker 7: Response to Sophie Cunningham's comments about transgender athletes, So she's
- 1:08:15Speaker 7: she was saying, well, that's that's not really an issue,
- 1:08:18Speaker 7: but something what wait?
- 1:08:20Speaker 23: What what?
- 1:08:20Speaker 20: What?
- 1:08:20Speaker 18: What?
- 1:08:21Speaker 3: What were Sophie Cunningham's comments about.
- 1:08:24Speaker 7: She said, I want to protect young girls in a
- 1:08:27Speaker 7: locker room or young girls in sport who shouldn't have
- 1:08:30Speaker 7: to go against biological men. Okay, And what Brianna Turner said,
- 1:08:39Speaker 7: to date, there's been one out trans player in the
- 1:08:41Speaker 7: league that they caused zero problems. An issue that has
- 1:08:45Speaker 7: caused problems. So she was responding, like, the transgender UH
- 1:08:51Speaker 7: athlete thing is not an issue. But a real issue
- 1:08:55Speaker 7: is the team fired a male employee for sexual haress.
- 1:09:00Speaker 7: That's an issue. So she was saying, like, that's not
- 1:09:03Speaker 7: an issue, but this is if you're trying to protect somebody.
- 1:09:05Speaker 7: So the fever did keep it in house, but this
- 1:09:08Speaker 7: player who's not on the team anymore.
- 1:09:10Speaker 3: But that's what. But I'm asking you, what's wrong with.
- 1:09:14Speaker 6: You? Come to me with an issue. I do an investigation.
- 1:09:20Speaker 6: I find that the person that you said did what
- 1:09:23Speaker 6: they did, they did it. I find I put in
- 1:09:27Speaker 6: their jacket. I make sure next companies and everything else.
- 1:09:33Speaker 6: When I say keep quiet, I mean why do I
- 1:09:35Speaker 6: have to announce it to the media.
- 1:09:39Speaker 3: Not that I don't tell Coca Cola or home depot,
- 1:09:43Speaker 3: wherever else you start going, it's in there. I make notation.
- 1:09:47Speaker 3: I'm saying, why do I need to have a press conference?
- 1:09:54Speaker 3: I mean you don't.
- 1:09:56Speaker 7: I mean you don't have told you don't have to
- 1:10:00Speaker 7: say anything. But some I think in the from the
- 1:10:05Speaker 7: the players perspective, I think in in her perspective, it's
- 1:10:09Speaker 7: like it's going to like everyone should know that this
- 1:10:15Speaker 7: person did this well.
- 1:10:17Speaker 20: And the.
- 1:10:22Speaker 3: So so you want to basically try to set up
- 1:10:26Speaker 3: a system of revenge and trying to embarrass. I don't
- 1:10:34Speaker 3: know what this person. I don't know what this person
- 1:10:36Speaker 3: did under the I don't know what he did he
- 1:10:41Speaker 3: or she did under the label of sexual misconduct. I
- 1:10:46Speaker 3: don't know what that is. We have he on the
- 1:10:48Speaker 3: show realized that it's from hissing at somebody to actually
- 1:10:53Speaker 3: physically touching, hearing somebody, you know, sending somebody a picture
- 1:10:59Speaker 3: on it. So we have a wide range. I'm just
- 1:11:03Speaker 3: to me and I guess that might show my age
- 1:11:07Speaker 3: where I played ball in an era where if it
- 1:11:12Speaker 3: didn't need to be told to the reporter, you didn't
- 1:11:17Speaker 3: tell it to the reporter. Now we live more of
- 1:11:19Speaker 3: where everybody needs to tell you that we gave the
- 1:11:23Speaker 3: O line some TVs, Well, well we didn't. They didn't. Really.
- 1:11:27Speaker 6: Players gave us TV the running back quarterback watches back then,
- 1:11:32Speaker 6: but there was no docu series about it.
- 1:11:37Speaker 3: We just got our TVs and.
- 1:11:39Speaker 6: Well back then and a lot of them dudes was
- 1:11:40Speaker 6: probably actually paying for the TVs and giving them to you.
- 1:11:43Speaker 6: Now somebody wants to sponsor the TV and they need
- 1:11:48Speaker 6: the world to know that not only did you get
- 1:11:51Speaker 6: a TV, but you got a visio hde HDP TV
- 1:12:01Speaker 6: from whatever. So I think a lot of that goes
- 1:12:04Speaker 6: into it. But I think her sensibilities made her feel like.
- 1:12:13Speaker 3: That's not enough. There needs to be more. She was
- 1:12:17Speaker 3: personally offended.
- 1:12:19Speaker 11: I don't think so, because not that she wants to
- 1:12:23Speaker 11: put out a stat about trans we haven't had but
- 1:12:27Speaker 11: one problem with a trans athlete against the women. She
- 1:12:31Speaker 11: basically going against Sophie Cunneyham. This sounds like more of
- 1:12:34Speaker 11: a that a it's not right. It's just I'm with
- 1:12:40Speaker 11: you on this, Like if it's an HR situation, if
- 1:12:44Speaker 11: we work for a company, there's somebody else's jacket HR,
- 1:12:47Speaker 11: like your employee salary. You don't discuss all that. But
- 1:12:51Speaker 11: I feel like that she has this thing against this man.
- 1:12:56Speaker 11: Maybe he harassed a friend of hers, or or her
- 1:13:00Speaker 11: count of her, maybe her partner.
- 1:13:03Speaker 3: And she wants to expose him, and that's what I'm
- 1:13:05Speaker 3: saying something about her sensibilities makes her feel like this
- 1:13:09Speaker 3: is something y'all should be screaming about.
- 1:13:12Speaker 6: You won't even tell people what he did. Tell them
- 1:13:16Speaker 6: what now? Look we handled it. You said he did something.
- 1:13:19Speaker 6: We we we erased Htory more to it, and now
- 1:13:23Speaker 6: he we We've erased him so far from the history
- 1:13:27Speaker 6: that the culture has reset and everything's back to normal,
- 1:13:30Speaker 6: and you're with somebody else now screaming you need to
- 1:13:33Speaker 6: tell them what he did. Some trauma still exists with
- 1:13:37Speaker 6: her and that incident or that situation, and she feels
- 1:13:40Speaker 6: because I'm saying, if a beef with you and Sophie Cunningham,
- 1:13:44Speaker 6: why you got.
- 1:13:45Speaker 3: Me drugs shock show right after this.
- 1:13:49Speaker 12: I'm the type of guy that noticed subtle signs when
- 1:13:52Speaker 12: I cut on mind she ain't even try to look sexy.
- 1:13:54Speaker 4: But even if she was, so what mother broke up?
- 1:13:57Speaker 3: Don't mean to be so abrupt, but that lets me Joh'm.
- 1:14:00Speaker 4: Bowl Wayne More of the Sports Jot Show with Wayne
- 1:14:03Speaker 4: Dandidio's coming up mast But.
- 1:14:08Speaker 24: I mean do not to stop and when going.

- 1:14:18Speaker 24: That means do not stop and when you go in

- 1:20:27Speaker 6: different franchise, not going into whole different trenchise.
- 1:20:31Speaker 3: So let her do the talk. You nod and ask
- 1:20:34Speaker 3: her stuff like so you like Champagne do stuff like that.
- 1:20:38Speaker 6: Uh, we were talking about the situation with the fever
- 1:20:42Speaker 6: w n B A as I even said, I think
- 1:20:43Speaker 6: the list show or you heard before that when I
- 1:20:46Speaker 6: was talking about has been kind of.
- 1:20:49Speaker 3: Seen for everything except to play on the court. And
- 1:20:52Speaker 3: then you see the All Star game right this weekend
- 1:20:56Speaker 3: for the.
- 1:20:56Speaker 5: W n B A.
- 1:20:57Speaker 3: No, no, I now I didn't see the game.
- 1:21:03Speaker 6: It's I saw one highlight that was when Obama came me.
- 1:21:10Speaker 6: People people sent me that clip.
- 1:21:14Speaker 11: All I saw was them talking to the girls about Lebron,
- 1:21:16Speaker 11: asked the question about Lebron.
- 1:21:18Speaker 3: So none of us tuned in to Okay, I saw
- 1:21:21Speaker 3: her dominate alonga uh dunked. That was it highlight.
- 1:21:26Speaker 6: Okay, I didn't catch much any of it at all.
- 1:21:28Speaker 6: I heard that Azy Fud, the young rookie from the
- 1:21:31Speaker 6: Dallas Wings won the three point contests. She was the
- 1:21:34Speaker 6: first rookie I think allowed to be in it and
- 1:21:38Speaker 6: the first which would make her the first rookie to
- 1:21:40Speaker 6: win the contests as well. But we were talking about
- 1:21:42Speaker 6: the fever and the in house and I'm not one
- 1:21:47Speaker 6: way or the other, so this this wasn't one of
- 1:21:50Speaker 6: those it's a right way or wrong way. I was
- 1:21:52Speaker 6: trying to figure out as a company, right when in
- 1:21:59Speaker 6: houses something that companies do do do you try to
- 1:22:05Speaker 6: keep as much of negativity from spilling over it? And
- 1:22:11Speaker 6: sports Jack, I have personal experience where I know someone
- 1:22:15Speaker 6: who because companies it used to be traditional that they
- 1:22:21Speaker 6: would keep especially wrongdoing and impropriety by their employees, especially
- 1:22:28Speaker 6: those high up in house. Is a friend of mine
- 1:22:33Speaker 6: engaged in some illegal activities as a bank officer and
- 1:22:37Speaker 6: went to the bank and was like, hey man, my
- 1:22:39Speaker 6: bad engaged in some illegal activity. I'm gonna get you
- 1:22:42Speaker 6: all the money back and retire. And they was on
- 1:22:44Speaker 6: some okay, just don't tell nobody why you're retiring or
- 1:22:48Speaker 6: what happened. And no criminal charges, no, none of that.
- 1:22:53Speaker 6: And he was allowed to leave with what he said
- 1:22:55Speaker 6: was giving them the money back, but went on to
- 1:22:59Speaker 6: live a really nice life just across the state line,
- 1:23:02Speaker 6: you know what I mean. So, uh, it used to
- 1:23:05Speaker 6: be almost the golden parachute for people. Yeah, I did
- 1:23:09Speaker 6: something wrong, but I'm gonna still get my pension. I'm
- 1:23:11Speaker 6: gonna still get all of the stuff I'm supposed to
- 1:23:13Speaker 6: have as long as I keep my mouth shut. So
- 1:23:17Speaker 6: now you're wanting me to have a full blown press
- 1:23:19Speaker 6: conference about a firing of something that we've already handled.
- 1:23:23Speaker 6: This isn't we came to you and you let it continue.
- 1:23:27Speaker 6: You have an atmosphere of sexual impropriety or harassment. We
- 1:23:32Speaker 6: handled it. Now you just want me to have a
- 1:23:33Speaker 6: press conference. I don't think that's right.
- 1:23:35Speaker 3: We'll be back more a sports shock show right after this.
- 1:23:39Speaker 3: See what you need to do was learn the tricks
- 1:23:41Speaker 3: of the trade. Go to workers put it down and
- 1:23:43Speaker 3: didn't get paid. It's only two of us gonna get
- 1:23:45Speaker 3: caught for making the sale of working in You.
- 1:23:48Speaker 4: Of the brook, I can't tell it.
- 1:23:49Speaker 11: Tin't nobody to come in and get in the stone
- 1:23:52Speaker 11: trying to kill no birds.
- 1:23:53Speaker 3: Put about fifteen stones the.
- 1:23:54Speaker 4: Seas for cool breeze.
- 1:23:56Speaker 3: Who's noticed the chances?
- 1:23:57Speaker 4: Yeahhoo, don't go away. More of the Sports Josh Show

- 1:24:37Speaker 3: talk and talk, you're doing a really good job. And
- 1:24:40Speaker 3: I don't think that's so.
- 1:24:41Speaker 5: I don't know, and I know sometimes we get into it.
- 1:24:45Speaker 5: It's just hard on both of us. But I'll try
- 1:24:49Speaker 5: to understand me more and I'll try to do the same.

- 1:25:45Speaker 3: First drown it with the bucket of water, then stir
- 1:25:47Speaker 3: it with the shovel. Wow, you sound just like him
- 1:25:51Speaker 3: when he said if it's still warm, then do it again.
- 1:25:54Speaker 4: Where can I learn all this?

- 1:26:32Speaker 12: I stuffed the grounds like a magian nele fit and
- 1:26:34Speaker 12: said we're back around the tanks.
- 1:26:35Speaker 3: You can't stop the train.
- 1:26:36Speaker 4: Don't repaying out there. But when out leave there, he's
- 1:26:39Speaker 4: gonna be out no name, brother man, telling enough to
- 1:26:41Speaker 4: the no brains.
- 1:26:42Speaker 3: So that we see there, I'm talking what Back to
- 1:26:44Speaker 3: the sports Shocks shop, the Sports Shock Wayne Gandy, Good morning, Uh,
- 1:26:49Speaker 3: Stephen A. Smith, as you know, is uh the top
- 1:26:53Speaker 3: of the pyramid as far as ESPN goes. And the
- 1:26:57Speaker 3: voices of sports once again making news. This time around,
- 1:27:04Speaker 3: he was weighing in on a call for the NBA
- 1:27:10Speaker 3: to actually put marijuana onto more scrutiny and pose another
- 1:27:19Speaker 3: marijuana band. Over the years and for a while there,
- 1:27:24Speaker 3: the NBA did not have a band on the substance.
- 1:27:28Speaker 3: They have gone back and forth. Some people even felt
- 1:27:30Speaker 3: like that and I think two thousand shortened season was
- 1:27:36Speaker 3: due to the particulars of the players. Didn't want to
- 1:27:40Speaker 3: be regulated in that area, not just money they did
- 1:27:45Speaker 3: so they did so steven A and I'll let him
- 1:27:50Speaker 3: speak for herself as far as how he sees marijuana and.
- 1:27:55Speaker 25: Consider we a performance enhancing drug.
- 1:27:59Speaker 3: Really, let me explain why.
- 1:28:02Speaker 25: If you go out into the streets of America, believe
- 1:28:06Speaker 25: it or not, these NBA players, I mean they next level.
- 1:28:08Speaker 25: Please don't get me wrong, but you got some casts
- 1:28:10Speaker 25: on the street, the bad They can really really ball.
- 1:28:13Speaker 4: They play right.
- 1:28:15Speaker 25: There's two things they're lacking that the professionals don't. The
- 1:28:18Speaker 25: level of discipline night in, night out basis committing yourself
- 1:28:22Speaker 25: to whatever.
- 1:28:23Speaker 5: And nerves.
- 1:28:25Speaker 25: You could be a bad player, but in the moment
- 1:28:28Speaker 25: you get fidgety. Yeah, weed helps subside that, calms the nerves.
- 1:28:34Speaker 4: No, those nerves are a part of it.
- 1:28:38Speaker 25: It ain't just your athletic ability, it's your poise under pressure.
- 1:28:42Speaker 3: Is for example, to bring it to the ladies on.
- 1:28:47Speaker 25: Nail me Osaka when she had her mental health issues,
- 1:28:50Speaker 25: her mental health breakdown. In some people's eyes, I'm like,
- 1:28:54Speaker 25: go get all the therapy you want. But as much
- 1:28:59Speaker 25: as I'm a fan of yours, and I feel sorry
- 1:29:01Speaker 25: that you're going through this.
- 1:29:03Speaker 4: As a sports fan. Not so much, because that's part.
- 1:29:07Speaker 25: Of the competition when you going into a visiting territory,
- 1:29:10Speaker 25: if you go into a matchine the crowd.
- 1:29:13Speaker 3: At stephen A's take on the marijuana, he insists that
- 1:29:18Speaker 3: it's a pe d an ability of players. And we
- 1:29:24Speaker 3: have seen a lot of NFL. You don't hear a
- 1:29:27Speaker 3: lot of baseball, but you do have NFL. You do
- 1:29:31Speaker 3: hear the NBA players all basically don't want and they
- 1:29:37Speaker 3: try to use they sciatica or they glaucoma to try
- 1:29:44Speaker 3: to be able to use it. Because you know stephen
- 1:29:47Speaker 3: A is saying, is a ped guys to try to
- 1:29:52Speaker 3: escape a part of sports that is very prevalent. And
- 1:29:59Speaker 3: really it's even guys with the talent to be less,
- 1:30:03Speaker 3: which is handling the pressure, the stress of the performance.
- 1:30:11Speaker 3: What side of the river are you guys standing on?
- 1:30:17Speaker 6: Well, we did not have sat right, we didn't have
- 1:30:24Speaker 6: to come. Okay, what I'm trying to say is here
- 1:30:29Speaker 6: on the Sports Jock Show, when we were.
- 1:30:33Speaker 3: On the AM.
- 1:30:36Speaker 6: Frequency, we interviewed a sports writer whose specialty was talking
- 1:30:43Speaker 6: about long distance running, and he said one of the
- 1:30:46Speaker 6: benefits that long distance runners get from using marijuana is
- 1:30:52Speaker 6: it helps them to lose track of time. They can
- 1:30:56Speaker 6: zone out and while they're running, they lose track of
- 1:30:59Speaker 6: the fact they don't connect to the fact that I've
- 1:31:02Speaker 6: been running for fifteen miles at a seven minute mile pace,
- 1:31:09Speaker 6: and that helps them with their long distance running. So
- 1:31:13Speaker 6: I don't know about if it helps that way. Surely
- 1:31:17Speaker 6: it wouldn't be a stretch to think that it calms nerves,
- 1:31:20Speaker 6: because we have people that get prescribed marijuana for post
- 1:31:25Speaker 6: traumatic stress disorder and anxiety, which are issues that have
- 1:31:30Speaker 6: to do with regulating your nervous system or being anxious
- 1:31:36Speaker 6: at having yourself calm down. So why wouldn't it be
- 1:31:41Speaker 6: that for the NBA or the NFL.
- 1:31:46Speaker 11: Still, so, I was trying to hear understand a little
- 1:31:49Speaker 11: steaming a little bit more what he was saying as
- 1:31:52Speaker 11: far as the guys on the street to play streetball.
- 1:31:56Speaker 3: Versus he's saying that is a lot of guys with talent.
- 1:32:00Speaker 3: That the problem that a lot of talent loses out
- 1:32:07Speaker 3: on is they're not disciplined. They can't put they can't
- 1:32:10Speaker 3: put all the elements yes, and they can't handle the stress,
- 1:32:15Speaker 3: the pressure of the game. It's not whether they can
- 1:32:18Speaker 3: dunk the ball, or shoot the ball or catch the ball.
- 1:32:21Speaker 3: It's when you start adding that it's two seconds on
- 1:32:25Speaker 3: the clock or eighty thousand fans in the stands. They
- 1:32:29Speaker 3: can't perform under.
- 1:32:31Speaker 6: That perfect example. So he saying that they need to. Uh, well,
- 1:32:35Speaker 6: I'm saying this is a perfect example. I'm probably six
- 1:32:40Speaker 6: seven funniest person in my family, but I'm the only
- 1:32:43Speaker 6: one that's a professional comedian because I'm the only one
- 1:32:46Speaker 6: willing to stand in front of a room.
- 1:32:48Speaker 3: Full of people and tell this joke.
- 1:32:50Speaker 6: Now in the breakroom, in the backyard, at the at
- 1:32:55Speaker 6: the family gathering, I got cousins and uncles and people
- 1:32:59Speaker 6: that will have you crying laughing. But they not, Man,
- 1:33:03Speaker 6: I ain't finna get up on no stage and do that.
- 1:33:06Speaker 6: So they have a drink or two, they might be
- 1:33:08Speaker 6: more willing. And that's what he's saying. It calms your
- 1:33:11Speaker 6: nerves enough to help this.
- 1:33:13Speaker 3: I'll give you example, and now I'll let you talk.
- 1:33:15Speaker 3: The great Roddy White will come out. I don't know
- 1:33:18Speaker 3: that you know all time falcon great. Oh yeah, he
- 1:33:23Speaker 3: could someday fall into the hall. Who knows. When I
- 1:33:28Speaker 3: came to the team. Roddy was in his second year
- 1:33:32Speaker 3: out of UAB. If you're ever wondering why there is
- 1:33:36Speaker 3: this level of competition mindset where scouts go to HBCUs
- 1:33:43Speaker 3: or a lower level, it's because some of it is
- 1:33:48Speaker 3: how would you do in the pressure of the Alabama
- 1:33:52Speaker 3: Georgia game when in all week is talked about and
- 1:33:57Speaker 3: the expectations and all that versus UA B versus Chattanooga.
- 1:34:03Speaker 3: So when I met Roddy, he would go out, rout great, Ralph,
- 1:34:08Speaker 3: beat command you Greg, then drop the ball as he
- 1:34:12Speaker 3: came back to the huddle. I always told him some
- 1:34:14Speaker 3: people scared to be great every time he dropped the ball.
- 1:34:21Speaker 3: Some people scared that. Now I'm gonna expect you to
- 1:34:25Speaker 3: do that again again and again. Show me you can
- 1:34:27Speaker 3: do it, and I do it again.
- 1:34:29Speaker 4: And I don't want that on me.
- 1:34:30Speaker 3: I don't want to have to. I just wanted to
- 1:34:32Speaker 3: do it this one time.
- 1:34:33Speaker 6: If I catch one out of three, I'm great. If
- 1:34:37Speaker 6: I catch all three, Now you on some I'm gonna
- 1:34:41Speaker 6: need you to be better than that. I'm gonna expect
- 1:34:43Speaker 6: you to expected the level of expo.
- 1:34:46Speaker 3: Stephen A is saying that a lot of talent that
- 1:34:49Speaker 3: goes from high school to college, can't be disciplined enough
- 1:34:55Speaker 3: or can't deal with the pressure, so they go to
- 1:35:01Speaker 3: using marijuana to deal with the anxiety. And if that's
- 1:35:06Speaker 3: the case, then the PD is being is a ped
- 1:35:11Speaker 3: it's you wouldn't. I can't count the number of comedy
- 1:35:16Speaker 3: shows that I've hosted that the headliner asked me, Hey, man,
- 1:35:20Speaker 3: give me a few minutes to get my head right.
- 1:35:24Speaker 3: I'm before that. Don't start the show yet, I'm gonna
- 1:35:27Speaker 3: need he in the.
- 1:35:30Speaker 11: Same voice, though, we say marijuana can cause you to
- 1:35:34Speaker 11: be undisciplined. That's a a to lose time, to not
- 1:35:38Speaker 11: do what you're supposed to do, not following up. Well,
- 1:35:43Speaker 11: so they they that's why I'm just sort of a
- 1:35:45Speaker 11: little confused. Well, it is based on the individual. The individual.
- 1:35:51Speaker 11: Some people zoning and you see, maybe you're thinking we'll
- 1:35:56Speaker 11: come back on do we have time, We have time.
- 1:35:59Speaker 11: Maybe you're thinking of day of the game. Yeah, maybe
- 1:36:03Speaker 11: that's what he's talking about. But when I hear him,
- 1:36:05Speaker 11: I'm talking about, you had a terrible game last night,
- 1:36:10Speaker 11: So do you having to sit in the next forty
- 1:36:12Speaker 11: eight hours or the next five days of it?
- 1:36:15Speaker 3: You use escapism.
- 1:36:18Speaker 6: Two hits of this and I if they just passed
- 1:36:21Speaker 6: the ball like they supposed to, it really wasn't my fault.
- 1:36:24Speaker 3: So you removed the anxiety of sitting all week having
- 1:36:28Speaker 3: to sit in this listening to the fan in Philadelphia
- 1:36:34Speaker 3: talk about you all that come match you. Where are
- 1:36:40Speaker 3: you on this?
- 1:36:42Speaker 6: What you do?
- 1:36:42Speaker 5: Ray?
- 1:36:44Speaker 3: I think it was interesting where this take was made
- 1:36:52Speaker 3: in the safety of a podcast that had no nb
- 1:36:55Speaker 3: other NBA players on it. And I think that.
- 1:37:04Speaker 7: I don't see a real athletic advantage with it, and
- 1:37:13Speaker 7: some and it could be a slippery slope in where
- 1:37:16Speaker 7: like okay, well now sleep is a ped or seeing
- 1:37:22Speaker 7: a sports psychologist is a ped or breathing exercises, So
- 1:37:29Speaker 7: I don't I don't see the I don't see the
- 1:37:33Speaker 7: athletic advantage with it, because that's really the only angle.
- 1:37:39Speaker 7: He had his nerves, like you know, a free throw
- 1:37:42Speaker 7: with too.
- 1:37:43Speaker 6: And really quick comment you, Greg, if I might interject,
- 1:37:46Speaker 6: we just agreed that Lebron James going to Philadelphia gave
- 1:37:52Speaker 6: them a mental advantage, changed their mindset. We've talked about
- 1:37:57Speaker 6: the nerves and how some people do what they call
- 1:38:01Speaker 6: in the in sports choke and because they can't handle
- 1:38:05Speaker 6: the pressure and their nerves got them all fidgety. It's
- 1:38:08Speaker 6: some dudes who have used drugs claim to have had
- 1:38:12Speaker 6: Hall of Fame days and don't even remember the game.
- 1:38:16Speaker 6: I don't even remember playing this game, and I struck
- 1:38:19Speaker 6: out fifty two batters in three innings. I was on
- 1:38:22Speaker 6: cocaine the whole time. But that's if that's not performance enhancing.
- 1:38:28Speaker 6: I don't know what is the ability to detach from
- 1:38:31Speaker 6: an activity to the state where you're still performing but
- 1:38:36Speaker 6: don't feel the pressure.
- 1:38:37Speaker 3: We'll come back to break. We'll talk about it. One
- 1:38:39Speaker 3: of you remind me of the young man I want
- 1:38:43Speaker 3: to say. His name was Folks. He got drafted by
- 1:38:47Speaker 3: the Orlando Magic. I want to say, like the first
- 1:38:50Speaker 3: or second pick of the draft. He's lost his whole
- 1:38:54Speaker 3: career because he says he has performance anxiety when he
- 1:39:00Speaker 3: gets on the court. He can't handle the stress. Will
- 1:39:07Speaker 3: be back more to Sports Job Show right after this.
- 1:39:14Speaker 9: Save the.
- 1:39:19Speaker 3: People, Don't go Away.

- 1:41:18Speaker 4: Between between.
- 1:41:30Speaker 21: Log as you can see a sports joint all sing
- 1:41:34Speaker 21: even very Jenny.
- 1:41:37Speaker 3: Welcome back to the Sports Shock Shaw the Sports Shock
- 1:41:39Speaker 3: Wayne Candy. We left talking about Stephen A. Steven A.
- 1:41:43Speaker 3: Smith's comment about the n b A, the league implementing
- 1:41:49Speaker 3: more stringent marijuana policy, imposing it that he sees marijuana
- 1:41:57Speaker 3: as a p e d uh And we were just
- 1:42:00Speaker 3: talking about the mental and he was basically saying it
- 1:42:04Speaker 3: is a way to help with the mental part of
- 1:42:09Speaker 3: the game that is actually the one of the biggest
- 1:42:14Speaker 3: parts of the game. During the break, I was mentioning
- 1:42:17Speaker 3: Markel folks, Big Kenny. I had written down Ben Simmons.
- 1:42:20Speaker 3: Big Kenny had the same thought. Where you watch Ben Simmons,
- 1:42:24Speaker 3: it's not about his height, his weight, his speed, his conditioning.
- 1:42:28Speaker 3: It's that his belief that he could hit a shot stopped.
- 1:42:35Speaker 3: I've never seen a player that won't the whole premise
- 1:42:40Speaker 3: of being on the offensive side of the ball come
- 1:42:44Speaker 3: out like and we've seen terrible shooters like the Draymond's
- 1:42:49Speaker 3: and the Dennis Rodmans. Was still shooting.
- 1:42:53Speaker 4: I'm talking about stopping half court and shoot it like
- 1:42:56Speaker 4: they know.
- 1:42:56Speaker 6: It's literally stopped shooting the ball because of the if
- 1:43:02Speaker 6: it's not a layup.
- 1:43:06Speaker 3: He literally we saw Nick Anderson missed that free throw
- 1:43:12Speaker 3: in that playoff game. And then and then tail spend
- 1:43:18Speaker 3: next thing, no baby oil at some children's basketball youth
- 1:43:22Speaker 3: camp thing or so whatever. He went and went crazy,
- 1:43:25Speaker 3: got out of his car because.
- 1:43:32Speaker 4: At the youth camp, the slipping slide or whatever.
- 1:43:37Speaker 3: It was something crazy.
- 1:43:39Speaker 6: And then he finally bounced back and kind of and
- 1:43:41Speaker 6: work in the corporate office for the magic.
- 1:43:43Speaker 3: But it's the moment, his mental his mental game. It's
- 1:43:49Speaker 3: a meant most bad plays are followed by a bad play.
- 1:43:55Speaker 3: Only time in my career I ever gave up two
- 1:43:58Speaker 3: sacks in the game well is Jacksonville Pittsburgh, nineteen ninety
- 1:44:04Speaker 3: nine in Pittsburgh three Rivers Stadium, late in the third quarter,
- 1:44:11Speaker 3: blocking Tony Brackens. Had been practicing all week on his
- 1:44:17Speaker 3: jab to the inside outside swim move all week. That's
- 1:44:22Speaker 3: all I had the guys work on. That was his move.
- 1:44:30Speaker 3: I sat, he did the move. I fell for it,
- 1:44:37Speaker 3: almost crushed me. Not that he got the sack, but
- 1:44:40Speaker 3: he got the sack on the move. I spent all
- 1:44:42Speaker 3: this time, three days out of here practicing.
- 1:44:45Speaker 6: You told you, I said, hey, come to move here,
- 1:44:47Speaker 6: come to move. Don't fall for the move. And you
- 1:44:49Speaker 6: failed for the move. And instead of having a short
- 1:44:53Speaker 6: memory and flushing that out two plays later say to
- 1:45:02Speaker 6: the point after the game, had to go tell coach kward.
- 1:45:05Speaker 6: As I was walking, I said, coach, oh, that won't
- 1:45:08Speaker 6: ever happen again. But I was so frozen in the
- 1:45:10Speaker 6: moment that I couldn't believe I failed for it. I
- 1:45:13Speaker 6: failed for this move. Now I'm talking about.
- 1:45:18Speaker 3: We talked about this, talked about it. I know, we
- 1:45:21Speaker 3: talked about this. That's the mental. The mental is can
- 1:45:25Speaker 3: you bounce back from the bad game? It's can you
- 1:45:28Speaker 3: handle success? Can you play against the Lord.
- 1:45:32Speaker 6: Talent when I always talk about you taking this team lightly.
- 1:45:39Speaker 3: Mentally. So that's why you're struggling with him. You know,
- 1:45:42Speaker 3: when the Georgia States go play the Ohio State in halftime,
- 1:45:47Speaker 3: you look up, Georgia stayed up thirteen to three s Wow.
- 1:45:52Speaker 4: Like you.
- 1:45:53Speaker 3: I've seen I've seen it happen. That's basically what it is.
- 1:45:58Speaker 3: I've seen it happen both ways.
- 1:46:00Speaker 6: First time I had a chance to film a television
- 1:46:02Speaker 6: show was here in Atlanta Beat Comic View. A guy
- 1:46:06Speaker 6: who is known to kill crowds everywhere he goes, got
- 1:46:09Speaker 6: on stage, looked at the.
- 1:46:11Speaker 3: Camera, that red light came on, and he went, hey, whoo.
- 1:46:18Speaker 6: I y'all doing man, it's a lot of people out here,
- 1:46:22Speaker 6: and did that for five minutes, to the point the
- 1:46:24Speaker 6: producer started screaming, get him off. A guy that got
- 1:46:27Speaker 6: on and everybody was going, ain't no way this dude
- 1:46:30Speaker 6: ugh to be on. He ain't been doing comedy that long.
- 1:46:32Speaker 6: He barely surviving. The club got a standing ovation because
- 1:46:36Speaker 6: he was able to get out there and manage that pressure.
- 1:46:39Speaker 6: But the dude who was killing never got on TV
- 1:46:42Speaker 6: again because when he saw the red light, he went blank.
- 1:46:46Speaker 3: So if weed can help.
- 1:46:47Speaker 6: You, I think he's just talking about that, that advantage
- 1:46:51Speaker 6: that disconnect long enough to make me feel like I can.
- 1:46:55Speaker 3: That's in it.
- 1:46:55Speaker 11: So I think I'm gonna have to stop the cats
- 1:46:58Speaker 11: to be playing that play when we out, they won't
- 1:47:01Speaker 11: have to put a band no smoking while we're playing.
- 1:47:04Speaker 3: They're using it to advantage. I know you have a friend.
- 1:47:07Speaker 3: I know you have a friend Commandchi. I know Big
- 1:47:11Speaker 3: Kenny Gott like probably like nine of his ten friends
- 1:47:14Speaker 3: are this way. Some people need liquid courage. We used
- 1:47:18Speaker 3: to call it liquorid curse. Out of courage.
- 1:47:20Speaker 6: They couldn't They can't talk to you, lady till they
- 1:47:23Speaker 6: get that drink. They have a drink, kind of like
- 1:47:26Speaker 6: the character on the Big Band Theory. I have friends.
- 1:47:31Speaker 3: They got to get their liquid courage up first. Give
- 1:47:33Speaker 3: me a shout of the Alabama Slama and it's like,
- 1:47:36Speaker 3: so they can't go in there just as them. Now
- 1:47:39Speaker 3: they need to be drunk Timmy, Right, they got all
- 1:47:43Speaker 3: the courage in the world. Now perform and drunk Timmy
- 1:47:47Speaker 3: get the girls. Now.
- 1:47:48Speaker 6: Drunk Timmy know what to say, Drunk Timmy know what
- 1:47:51Speaker 6: to wear, Drunk Timmy be owned to at least start
- 1:47:55Speaker 6: throwing up. Then that's when drunk Timmy ruined things. But you, yeah,
- 1:48:01Speaker 6: I got lied. I know a lot of them do.
- 1:48:03Speaker 6: Have witnessed a lot of dudes that literally and you
- 1:48:06Speaker 6: would think they had everything going for them, that all
- 1:48:10Speaker 6: they you ought to be filled with confidence, you got
- 1:48:13Speaker 6: all of these things that going for you, but they
- 1:48:16Speaker 6: can't put that together in Hey, how you doing. I'm
- 1:48:20Speaker 6: the star athlete from the team. That wasn't enough. They
- 1:48:24Speaker 6: had to go get the liquid caurage.
- 1:48:25Speaker 3: Speaking of liquid courage, Tony Romo manin Greg Boy having
- 1:48:31Speaker 3: too much whiskey at his golf tournament last week, got
- 1:48:35Speaker 3: a d u I after the golf tournament. He predicted
- 1:48:41Speaker 3: he'd make it home it. I ain't judging you because
- 1:48:45Speaker 3: we didn't.
- 1:48:45Speaker 4: All got a DUI after the golf tournament. I'm right.
- 1:48:50Speaker 3: We'll be back more to Sports Talk Show right after.
- 1:48:52Speaker 5: This playing Space Amazing, What my God's amazing?
- 1:49:00Speaker 3: Come travel out of Space, stand in the One Place, Don't.
- 1:49:05Speaker 4: Go Away, or of the Sports Jock Show with Wayne.
- 1:49:08Speaker 13: Dan Videos coming up next, and now let's talk about
- 1:49:14Speaker 13: something exciting.
- 1:49:15Speaker 4: Life insurance.
- 1:49:15Speaker 13: Three quarters of Americans believe that coverage represents a critical
- 1:49:19Speaker 13: piece of financial security, yet only forty nine percent actually
- 1:49:23Speaker 13: have life insurance.
- 1:49:24Speaker 27: When I was twenty five, me and my wife were
- 1:49:26Speaker 27: just getting started with our family and thought we lived
- 1:49:28Speaker 27: forever life insurance.
- 1:49:29Speaker 3: What's the last thing on my mind? What about you?
- 1:49:31Speaker 4: Will you be leaving benefits or bills?
- 1:49:33Speaker 27: When I was forty, with a kid in college and
- 1:49:35Speaker 27: bills piling up, I was worried how my family would
- 1:49:37Speaker 27: survived without me. That's what I'm in an appointment with
- 1:49:39Speaker 27: the insurance informant.
- 1:49:40Speaker 13: Information gives you power, and life insurance gives your family
- 1:49:43Speaker 13: security no matter what stage of life you're in.
- 1:49:46Speaker 27: Now that I'm older, I don't worry about whether I
- 1:49:48Speaker 27: leave my family with bills or benefits.
- 1:49:50Speaker 3: The answer is easy, whether.
- 1:49:52Speaker 13: You're twenty five or fifty, whether you earn a little
- 1:49:54Speaker 13: or a lot, All you need is the insurance informant
- 1:49:57Speaker 13: to help you build a foundation of security, because without you,
- 1:50:00Speaker 13: your family will have two options, benefits or bills? Which
- 1:50:04Speaker 13: legacy will you leave behind? Log on today, benefits or
- 1:50:08Speaker 13: bills dot Com? That's benefits or bills dot Com.
- 1:50:14Speaker 8: When I smoke weed, I get lost in the music.
- 1:50:17Speaker 8: I'd like to isolate each instrument, the rhythmic Babe, the
- 1:50:21Speaker 8: harmonies on the piano with sticky melody.
- 1:50:28Speaker 24: Hey, careful bad, there's someone crossing the streets.
- 1:50:31Speaker 3: Sorry I didn't seal it.
- 1:50:34Speaker 4: If you feel different, you drive different.
- 1:50:36Speaker 3: Don't drive high. It's dangerous and illegal everywhere. A message
- 1:50:41Speaker 3: from NITZA and the ad Council.
- 1:50:45Speaker 4: And now back to the sports John Wayne Gandy.
- 1:50:51Speaker 6: It's time to put a school board when we put
- 1:50:53Speaker 6: a spin on life and sports and how they intermingle.
- 1:50:58Speaker 4: On the Sports Jack Show with Wayne Dandy.
- 1:51:16Speaker 3: Welcome back to this Sport Shock Show. I'm in this
- 1:51:17Speaker 3: Sport Shock Wayne Candy. Good morning to you out there
- 1:51:20Speaker 3: and listening land. Uh guys, and this is Greg and I.
- 1:51:26Speaker 3: Then we got a couple of comments a couple of
- 1:51:29Speaker 3: shows ago when we were talking about Derek Carr and
- 1:51:32Speaker 3: getting sacked, and I told you that's what happened. He
- 1:51:35Speaker 3: got sacked so much. David Carr got got sacked so much.
- 1:51:39Speaker 3: The mental Yeah, now when he drops back, he just
- 1:51:43Speaker 3: think people sacking him. He's just it's like, why are
- 1:51:46Speaker 3: you moving up maps here? People? Because that became a
- 1:51:53Speaker 3: mental people. Can you say we had a couple of
- 1:51:56Speaker 3: comments comments from our online listeners.
- 1:51:59Speaker 6: We got Aaron Duffy at the last hour said they
- 1:52:02Speaker 6: don't let you get away talking about the bad producer
- 1:52:05Speaker 6: with spit, but he replaced the p with another bird.
- 1:52:10Speaker 6: But he was just saying we uh when we mentioned
- 1:52:13Speaker 6: how he's now a seventy six fan and bron.
- 1:52:19Speaker 5: Uh.
- 1:52:19Speaker 6: Elder Casey, when he heard about my friend that gave
- 1:52:22Speaker 6: the money back, he said he had some funds off
- 1:52:25Speaker 6: in the cut. I said, way way in the cut,
- 1:52:27Speaker 6: Uncle Charlie, like the bad producer said, silly old me,
- 1:52:31Speaker 6: thinking that weed was a downer. He's under the impression
- 1:52:35Speaker 6: like a lot of people. The propaganda with weed is
- 1:52:38Speaker 6: it uh? And reduce your lethargic and reduces your motivation,
- 1:52:45Speaker 6: makes you unmotivated. Uh. Elder Casey said everybody has a
- 1:52:48Speaker 6: plan until they get hit in the mouth. Then quoted
- 1:52:51Speaker 6: the great poet who made that quote, Mike Tyson, and
- 1:52:54Speaker 6: then he says, uh. It even happened to him. In
- 1:52:57Speaker 6: the worship service, five other people were called on to sing,
- 1:53:01Speaker 6: and when with his name was called, I froze up.
- 1:53:04Speaker 6: This was after singing for over fifteen years at many churches,
- 1:53:08Speaker 6: even on TV. So he said it can happen that
- 1:53:11Speaker 6: that being mentally frozen and not being able to perform.
- 1:53:15Speaker 6: So I think the general consensus is that Stephen A.
- 1:53:19Speaker 6: Smith he's not right about a lot of stuff, but
- 1:53:22Speaker 6: I think he might be on the something he.
- 1:53:23Speaker 3: Got on one today, Tyreek Hill, ten months after surgery,
- 1:53:29Speaker 3: says his knee is still very weak. So looks like
- 1:53:33Speaker 3: the Falcons will have to sign him after Halloween. Bring
- 1:53:38Speaker 3: in play with Tua.
- 1:53:40Speaker 6: No you think you think it's knee is still very
- 1:53:44Speaker 6: weak because his injury was that pronounced, Or do you
- 1:53:49Speaker 6: think that he not really showing up for his rehab
- 1:53:53Speaker 6: like he's supposed to be rehappy.
- 1:53:54Speaker 3: No, it's it's it's something that scar tissue build up.
- 1:53:58Speaker 3: It hits everybody a little difference. Some people are faster recovery,
- 1:54:03Speaker 3: some people are and some of it is with age
- 1:54:07Speaker 3: and usage. Yeah mahone is coming back. Yeah, but that's
- 1:54:14Speaker 3: just for what he how he plays.
- 1:54:16Speaker 7: We're talking about a guy who depends on his list
- 1:54:18Speaker 7: speed versus someone who Okay, yeah, Mahme's gonna move around.
- 1:54:23Speaker 7: He can run a little bit. But someone who is
- 1:54:27Speaker 7: an explosive receiver like him. If he says he has no,
- 1:54:32Speaker 7: he's not doesn't have power in his leg.
- 1:54:36Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:54:37Speaker 6: Remember he used to go into warp speed and I
- 1:54:39Speaker 6: was about say, we talked about a man whose nickname
- 1:54:41Speaker 6: is the cheetah, So there's difference between speed and cheetah speed.
- 1:54:44Speaker 6: This the fastest mammal on. He showed up on track
- 1:54:47Speaker 6: meet and with everybody. Yeah, he's looking to go to warp.
- 1:54:51Speaker 6: So in his mind, I'm running, but I'm not able
- 1:54:54Speaker 6: to get to warp anymore. You might actually get close
- 1:54:58Speaker 6: enough for me to hear you breathing. Uh no, allows
- 1:55:02Speaker 6: answer Shakhari Richardson. They won track meets and this past
- 1:55:09Speaker 6: weekend one hundred meters is track becoming the new boxing?
- 1:55:16Speaker 27: Oh?
- 1:55:17Speaker 3: You mean we have to talk about as.
- 1:55:19Speaker 6: Far as like, ain't no class, ain't nobody looking at
- 1:55:23Speaker 6: really looking at it?
- 1:55:24Speaker 3: You we got to come up with some sort of
- 1:55:26Speaker 3: gimmick to get people.
- 1:55:27Speaker 7: To I think the years between Olympics, I think there's
- 1:55:32Speaker 7: not a lot of attention. I think it's always been
- 1:55:37Speaker 7: like that with with track. I mean between Olympics, we
- 1:55:41Speaker 7: weren't even thinking of Usain Bolt between Olympics, and I
- 1:55:46Speaker 7: know Michael Johnson tried to.
- 1:55:47Speaker 3: Have that that league to get interest, but it failed. Yeah,
- 1:55:52Speaker 3: that that didn't work. And that's what I'm saying. With boxing,
- 1:55:55Speaker 3: it's like maybe once a year somebody will talk enough
- 1:55:58Speaker 3: about a fight. Yeah that, but outside of to get made.
- 1:56:04Speaker 6: Outside of the spectacle fights right the legit fet night.
- 1:56:10Speaker 3: Like the ones about the Mayweather, the ones they put
- 1:56:14Speaker 3: on ESPN. Yeah, I'm talking about the regular people in
- 1:56:17Speaker 3: their prime should be still fighting fights now. No, I
- 1:56:22Speaker 3: think fighting now.
- 1:56:23Speaker 6: I think fighting and fighting and track and field to me,
- 1:56:27Speaker 6: are akin to holidays like the fourth that July. You
- 1:56:31Speaker 6: spend just this one day celebrating this thing, and the
- 1:56:35Speaker 6: rest of the year nobody's really thinking about fireworks, you
- 1:56:38Speaker 6: know what I'm saying. But those people spend their whole
- 1:56:42Speaker 6: year thinking about it.
- 1:56:43Speaker 3: But we we could care less about track and field
- 1:56:46Speaker 3: until they say Shakari's running in the championship and then
- 1:56:49Speaker 3: Will Toney.
- 1:56:50Speaker 6: Five team basketball players from DC area, along with their
- 1:56:55Speaker 6: twenty seven year old coach, we're arrested down in Polk County, Florida,
- 1:57:00Speaker 6: about five miles from my hometown. I actually go to
- 1:57:03Speaker 6: the seven eleven. It was about four in the morning.
- 1:57:07Speaker 6: The five kids decided they wanted some snacks. They go
- 1:57:10Speaker 6: to the seven eleven and then decide they are going
- 1:57:15Speaker 6: to steal the items. They run out the store, all
- 1:57:19Speaker 6: five of them. The officers were called out.
- 1:57:24Speaker 3: They eventually caught three, but when they got to the
- 1:57:28Speaker 3: coach and asked him did he recognized the other two?
- 1:57:33Speaker 3: He said he didn't know the kids.
- 1:57:38Speaker 6: When I read the story, I kept thinking, how I
- 1:57:40Speaker 6: have asked you guys for years? Now, why is it
- 1:57:44Speaker 6: when we get caught, all of a sudden we get done.
- 1:57:53Speaker 6: You're the coach of this basketball team, right, do you
- 1:57:57Speaker 6: know who these two kids are?
- 1:58:00Speaker 3: Right here, I'm showing you like they standing. Yeah, I
- 1:58:05Speaker 3: got these three. There's two more. Okay, so you don't
- 1:58:09Speaker 3: know where those two kids are? You're saying the ones
- 1:58:12Speaker 3: in the basketball uniforms the same color I got them.
- 1:58:16Speaker 6: Do you asking me? Do I know where they at?
- 1:58:19Speaker 6: I know who you know they are? They look like
- 1:58:21Speaker 6: basketball players. Now do you know their names? Can you
- 1:58:24Speaker 6: help me out find them? I just coach this team, sir.
- 1:58:28Speaker 3: I don't rested him for that, yes, because the kids
- 1:58:34Speaker 3: finally did walk up up and he said he was
- 1:58:38Speaker 3: trying to protest.
- 1:58:39Speaker 6: That, hey, coach, because we didn't all rob the seven
- 1:58:46Speaker 6: eleven at eleven o'clock in the morning, didn't lie to
- 1:58:48Speaker 6: the police. All right, at two three in the morning,
- 1:58:51Speaker 6: we robbed the seven eleven. They had a lot of
- 1:58:53Speaker 6: the police.
- 1:58:54Speaker 3: They stole thirty seven dollars and sixty cents worth of items.
- 1:58:59Speaker 3: I had that on your birth divided by five, that
- 1:59:02Speaker 3: would have been like seven dollars and fifty cent of peace.
- 1:59:05Speaker 3: And who are their boosters? Go ahead? Was this team?
- 1:59:10Speaker 11: When I first saw the story, I thought it was
- 1:59:13Speaker 11: old because didn't they just catch some kids in the
- 1:59:16Speaker 11: same county at.
- 1:59:17Speaker 3: The sporting goods store? Yeah?
- 1:59:19Speaker 11: They you man, y'all better leve y'all aau teams whatever, y'all.
- 1:59:24Speaker 4: In that area right there, Florida.
- 1:59:26Speaker 3: A lot of tournament tournaments, playing in Polk County, Florida
- 1:59:31Speaker 3: because it's it's like fifteen minutes from Orlando. Yeah, they
- 1:59:35Speaker 3: have a lot of tournaments there.
- 1:59:36Speaker 6: Yeah, and they ain't playing in Polk County, Florida. But
- 1:59:39Speaker 6: what about that's not still as a group. It's not
- 1:59:43Speaker 6: a boy band activity. You don't say, I've never rehearsed,
- 1:59:48Speaker 6: let's go steal snacks.
- 1:59:51Speaker 3: That that's you don't do that group.
- 1:59:53Speaker 6: Playing coach, the whole premise of you being coached is
- 1:59:56Speaker 6: to uphold the character those cops probably would have worked
- 2:00:01Speaker 6: with you if you had maybe you had a better
- 2:00:05Speaker 6: chance by being honest and maybe getting them to let
- 2:00:07Speaker 6: the kids. You're talking about walking them back up there?
- 2:00:14Speaker 5: What kids?
- 2:00:14Speaker 6: You talking about your bus like he had a list
- 2:00:18Speaker 6: and looking out the window at.
- 2:00:20Speaker 3: Us right now, it sounded like he wanted to leave
- 2:00:22Speaker 3: them behind. It's not like he had a list. I
- 2:00:26Speaker 3: don't know that, and we are in The truth is
- 2:00:32Speaker 3: he will throw your in the ocean.
- 2:00:34Speaker 21: It's time to wrap things up on the Sports Junk
- 2:00:38Speaker 21: Show with Wayne Candy.
- 2:01:06Speaker 3: When You designs an ocean gives a sports shot testa
- 2:01:08Speaker 3: minute to Vin. We'd like to thank you for tuning
- 2:01:11Speaker 3: in today, Big Kenny Comanchi, Greg Bad producer, thank you
- 2:01:14Speaker 3: for your contributions to today's show. If you miss any
- 2:01:17Speaker 3: of the show, you can go to Apple Podcasts, Amazon podcast, Audible, Deezer, iHeartRadio,
- 2:01:24Speaker 3: or Spotify and catch the replay of the show today.
- 2:01:30Speaker 3: Nobody's going in the ocean. This is my yearly commitment
- 2:01:36Speaker 3: with high school football, starting things like cross country and volleyball.
- 2:01:42Speaker 3: All the early sports start here with school, especially in
- 2:01:46Speaker 3: the Georgia area. High school football comes to us before
- 2:01:50Speaker 3: college and pro starts, parents, grandparents, uncles, cousins, any adope.
- 2:02:00Speaker 3: Please help your kids high drink, Please be mindful, talk
- 2:02:05Speaker 3: to them about how to prepare. Also talk to them
- 2:02:11Speaker 3: about caffeine before practice. It's sad every year we have
- 2:02:18Speaker 3: to report on two or three kids around the country dying,
- 2:02:24Speaker 3: and a lot of it has been the mystery of
- 2:02:26Speaker 3: are you taking that five hour energy or that twenty
- 2:02:30Speaker 3: four ounces of monster and drinking it twenty minutes before
- 2:02:34Speaker 3: you go outside? Only reason I because I can picture
- 2:02:39Speaker 3: myself and on a slow day, I could have been
- 2:02:45Speaker 3: one of those people trying to get that energy to
- 2:02:47Speaker 3: impress coach today. So help your kids out. It's not
- 2:02:51Speaker 3: just on the coaches and the coaching staff. Be a
- 2:02:54Speaker 3: little mindful to Hi Drate. They sell over lecture like
- 2:02:58Speaker 3: packages everywhere. Now put that in your system, put it
- 2:03:01Speaker 3: in their bag. Stay away from the caffeine and the sodas,
- 2:03:05Speaker 3: and let's try to see if we can minimize any
- 2:03:08Speaker 3: of these tragic deaths. As we enter the best part
- 2:03:12Speaker 3: of the year, which is football season for Big Kenny
- 2:03:17Speaker 3: comand you Greg, the bad producer, we hope you have
- 2:03:20Speaker 3: a good day. It's raining in in Atlanta, real hard, right,
- 2:03:23Speaker 3: now it's not supposed to be it was.
- 2:03:27Speaker 6: It's the seautle of the South that's what has become.
- 2:03:31Speaker 6: Have a good afternoon, peace,
