- 0:02Mark Chapter 7. Let us pray, Heavenly Father.
- 0:08Oh, you're such a good father, Lord, you father us well.
- 0:12Lord, you're so incredible. Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, you are so
- 0:17good. Yes, we grab a hold of the hem
- 0:20of your garment. Yes, we come in.
- 0:22Yes, we receive our healing, God.
- 0:25We receive in the name of Jesus, healing from on high.
- 0:29God, heal our bodies, heal our bones, heal our infirmities.
- 0:32God, I pray in the name of Jesus, that you, Lord, will come
- 0:37in and fill us, overflowing not just halfway, not just to the
- 0:42top of the brim, but God overflowing into the community,
- 0:46overflowing into our families, into our marriages, into our
- 0:52workplaces. God, in the name of Jesus, I
- 0:55pray that we could be light and salt to this wicked and perverse
- 0:59generation. God, I pray in the name of Jesus
- 1:01that we finish well. God, give us integrity, God,
- 1:05integrity to finish well. God, I pray that we will not
- 1:09live distracted in the name of Jesus.
- 1:12I pray God, that you'll come and get your glory today in the
- 1:15reading of your word. Let your word jump off the
- 1:17pages. Let your word jump into our
- 1:20hearts and minds. God, let it be the authority
- 1:23over our lives, the authority over today.
- 1:26God, I pray in the name of Jesus for a sound mind today.
- 1:29God, I pray that your doctrines and your precepts, your line
- 1:33upon line will be laid today. God, from the foundations of the
- 1:38earth, from everlasting to ever lasting, from glory to glory,
- 1:43it's your words that will prevail, God to the end of the
- 1:46ages. For Jesus is the Word, and the
- 1:49Word became flesh, and the Word was God.
- 1:52And so God, we get out of our own way, Father, and we lay
- 1:56prostate before you, God, and I pray that you will help us to
- 2:00gird up our loins, that you'll help us to stand in your
- 2:03presence. Father, we do not grovel, God,
- 2:07but we marvel God at you, Lord. We are locked eyes with you,
- 2:13Lord, we are lockstep with you, God, we are yoked with you, and
- 2:18your burden is light, Lord. And so, Lord, we just want more
- 2:22of you. We have tasted and we have seen
- 2:25that we want more, Father, we're not satisfied with just a
- 2:29little, God. You are our everything.
- 2:33You are our very next breath. And so God come in, God show up,
- 2:39show off. God, you are the one that we're
- 2:42here for. God let the fear of man go.
- 2:46God, let greed go. In the name of Jesus, I pray
- 2:50that we will be here just for you and you alone.
- 2:54God, it's you and it's you and it's you, and it's you, Jesus we
- 2:58love. And it's in your holy, precious,
- 3:01powerful name that we pray. Amen.
- 3:06Let's start in verse one. Then came together unto him the
- 3:11Pharisees and certain of the scribes which came from
- 3:15Jerusalem. Look at this and look at how
- 3:17these Pharisees, they just go following our Lord around.
- 3:22You know, you can see the hostility that is just brewing
- 3:28all around Jesus. He can't get a moments away from
- 3:32everybody and the Pharisees, they're coming looking for ways
- 3:37to trap him. Let's see what happens.
- 3:39Verse 2. And when they saw some of his
- 3:42disciples eat bread with defile, that is to say with unwashed
- 3:47hands, they found fault. Look at these fault finders.
- 3:50Don't be surprised when you have people in your midst that are
- 3:54critical. That critical spirit is a sure
- 3:58sign of a backslidden Christian. You can see that these Pharisees
- 4:03were very critical of Jesus and they were very critical of his
- 4:08disciples, and they were holding fast to tradition.
- 4:12And by and large tradition is not the issue.
- 4:16But by and large, when we hold tradition up over the Word of
- 4:21God, when tradition Trump's God's infallible inerrant word,
- 4:26we are in danger, friends, of falling into the same trap that
- 4:30these Pharisees fell in, which is a critical spirit.
- 4:34Verse 3 for the Pharisees and all the Jews, except they wash
- 4:38their hands often, eat, not holding the tradition of the
- 4:42elders. So it was a common thing in the
- 4:45Mishnah, it was a common thing in the Jewish lineage that they
- 4:51held the teachings of their rabbis in a higher degree than
- 4:56the law and the prophets. And Jesus here is going to flip
- 4:59the script. Jesus here is going to beat them
- 5:02at their own game. Jesus here knows their inner
- 5:04thoughts and motives, and Jesus cannot be trapped.
- 5:07And Jesus never broke the law and Jesus never sinned.
- 5:12And here you can see how Jesus sees their evil intent and He
- 5:17sure is going to let them know and remind them that they are
- 5:22man and He is their Creator. For and when they come from the
- 5:26market, except they wash, they eat not, and many other things
- 5:30there be which they have received to hold as the washing
- 5:34of cups and the pots and the brazen vessels and of tables.
- 5:39So here Mark wants us to know and Mark wants his readers to
- 5:43know the Gentile is who he was writing to.
- 5:46And Peter is orating this. And you can see that Mark is
- 5:51letting all the people that are not familiar with with all of
- 5:55the Jewish lineage and heritage, what they thought.
- 5:59And this was them separating themselves from the Gentiles.
- 6:02This was them reminding themselves that they were the
- 6:06chosen special race of God. And by the way, it's no
- 6:09different today. Yes, Jesus Christ came for the
- 6:12whole world, but God is still very hyper fixated upon those
- 6:17Jews. The Jews are still his chosen
- 6:19people and he's going to bring them into the fold.
- 6:22Friends, They were meant to be priests.
- 6:25They were meant to be the priest for the whole world and to lead
- 6:28everybody into a relationship with Yahweh, but they squandered
- 6:33their inheritance and Jesus came to buy it all back.
- 6:36And He's showing all of the priests, and he's showing the
- 6:39scribes, and He's showing the Pharisees and the Sadducees and
- 6:43the Herodians. He's showing them the air of
- 6:46their way. He was the only spotless,
- 6:48sinless one that could OfferUp His life.
- 6:51For a redemption of you and me praise God, Hallelujah you verse
- 6:575 And then the Pharisees and scribes asked him, why walk not
- 7:03your disciples according to the tradition of the elders, but eat
- 7:07bread with unwashed hands. Now this was not a question of
- 7:12hygiene. This was a question of his
- 7:16disciples upholding all of the traditions in the land,
- 7:20upholding the bylaws that were wrapped around the laws.
- 7:24And Jesus very much and very often he would intentionally
- 7:31break all of their little man made rules.
- 7:35And he was showing them that they were acting in a way that
- 7:41is not in accordance with the heart of God.
- 7:44Jesus knew how to please the Lord God Almighty and he walked
- 7:49that line and he knew exactly what to say and how to say it
- 7:53and when to do it. And when you and I, whenever we
- 7:55are plugged into the power source, He gives you
- 7:58discernment, friends. He let you know what it is that
- 8:01the Lord is after, what it is that moves the heart of God.
- 8:05And it's obedience, friends. It's obedience to Him and to
- 8:09this word that you hold in your hand.
- 8:12It's not left up to interpretation, friends.
- 8:15It is obedience unto the words that are black and white on this
- 8:18page. And if you want to know God's
- 8:21unrevealed will for your life, you must obey the revealed will.
- 8:26And it's right here. It's from Genesis to Revelation.
- 8:29Nothing added and nothing subtracted.
- 8:32Praise God, Hallelujah. He's showing them the air of
- 8:35their ways of how they are so silly and all their little man
- 8:39made games that they're trying to play in their little
- 8:42Playhouse that they had. They did not want to let it go.
- 8:45They wanted to continue to manipulate the masses.
- 8:48They wanted to continue to exceed lots of greed in their
- 8:53midst and they would take all of the things that people were
- 8:56offering to God. And what were they doing?
- 8:58They were using it for their own selfish gain and vanity here in
- 9:02the land, and God saw it and He's going to RIP it all apart
- 9:06here. And he uses Jesus Christ to come
- 9:09in and reveal what all of their evil motives were.
- 9:13And he's telling them that God sees everything and nothing is
- 9:17hidden from Him. Even your own motives are not
- 9:19hidden from God. Your thoughts are not hidden
- 9:21from God. You cannot compartmentalize your
- 9:24life. You do not have a you on Sunday
- 9:26morning and then a you on Saturday night.
- 9:29It doesn't work that way. We need to be congruent and we
- 9:32need to have integrity and we need to finish this race well.
- 9:35Repent of all the times that you've broken the heart of God.
- 9:39Repent of all the times where you've made it all about
- 9:42yourself and all about this world and vanity and greed and
- 9:47lock eyes with him. Move in accordance with him.
- 9:50Move lockstep with God Almighty and watch how it goes well with
- 9:54you. Godliness with contentment is
- 9:57great. Gain, friends, we do not need to
- 10:00be so wrapped up in the ways of this world, in the systems of
- 10:05this world, friends, it will choke you out.
- 10:07We must stay connected to the vine and produce much fruit,
- 10:11friends. And here the Pharisees, they had
- 10:13missed the mark here, and he's showing them that six.
- 10:18He answered and said unto them, Well has Isaiah prophesied of
- 10:22you hypocrites as it is written? This people honors me with their
- 10:28lips, but their heart is far from me.
- 10:33These are Jesus's words and He is showing them.
- 10:37He is showing us how we sure can speak Christianese.
- 10:42We sure can speak all of these traditional sayings and these
- 10:48little verses that come up, these cherry picked verses that
- 10:52make us feel really good, but we do not know the entirety and the
- 10:57authority of God's Word from beginning to end.
- 11:00We do not have it, we do not house it, we do not own it.
- 11:03And what do we do? We rely on others to tell it and
- 11:06to teach it to us. And we must get into the Word
- 11:09for ourselves so that we can have the discernment so that
- 11:12whenever the counterfeit comes across the table, you can see
- 11:15it. You can spot it, friends.
- 11:17And, and that is how we're going to safeguard ourselves and make
- 11:20it all the way to the end in here.
- 11:23He is telling them that Isaiah got it right.
- 11:25They sure are speaking as if they know him.
- 11:29But deep down, by and large, their hearts are so far from
- 11:33Him. They have hardened their hearts
- 11:35as in the days of rebellion. And they're making it all about
- 11:38self. They're making it all about
- 11:40gain. They're making it all about
- 11:42vanity. They're making it all about
- 11:43position. And Jesus will have no part in
- 11:46that. Friends 7.
- 11:49How be it in vain do they worship me?
- 11:53Teaching for doctrines, the commandments of men?
- 11:57Here he breaks it down. This is the crux of the whole
- 12:00matter, Friends. They're holding on to man made
- 12:05commandments, man made traditions, and they're holding
- 12:08them in a higher degree in a higher regard than God's holy
- 12:13Word. And it's no different in our day
- 12:16and our our friends. Whenever you see churches
- 12:19closing on every church corner, whenever you see people falling
- 12:24away, the apostate church. Why?
- 12:27Because people picked up on the duplicity and the hypocrisy of
- 12:31the leadership and of the churches.
- 12:33And they saw that there was no difference inside of those four
- 12:37walls than there was out in the world.
- 12:40And it was only about the vanity of the pastor.
- 12:43It was only about the buckets being passed around.
- 12:46And people fell away because they saw that we were not in
- 12:51tune with the Lord. They saw that all of these
- 12:54people were making it all about things that it's never has been.
- 12:59And they were attaching all of their traditions onto the holy
- 13:03Word of God. And if people would get into
- 13:05this good book and study it for themselves, they would not be
- 13:09duped. They would not be LED astray.
- 13:11They would not be surprised. They would know that they are
- 13:15the temple of God. They would know that we are the
- 13:18church. And it's not a building,
- 13:20friends. It's not a place that we go.
- 13:23The church goes everywhere that you go because you are the
- 13:26temple of God, friends, and He has sanctified you.
- 13:29He has made you holy because He is holy.
- 13:32And He wants us to be the light and to be the salt in this
- 13:36wicked and dark generation for this time, for such a time as
- 13:40this friends, a for laying aside the commandment of God.
- 13:47You hold the tradition of men as the washing of pots and cups and
- 13:52many other such like things you do here.
- 13:58Jesus is letting them know I'm not going to play your man made
- 14:04made-up games here. He is not afraid of men, He has
- 14:11No Fear of man. He has broken that down.
- 14:15He never had to apologize to anybody.
- 14:20Jesus meant what he said, and He said what he meant, and He's
- 14:23showing them the error of their ways.
- 14:26And we would do well to take heed to these words.
- 14:31If we have let anything creep in to our lives that is not in this
- 14:39holy book, then we are in error. If you cannot find the Word of
- 14:48God speaking all of the traditions that you uphold
- 14:55higher than His Word, we are in danger, friends.
- 14:59And He's showing them that the washing of pots and cups cannot
- 15:06supersede God's word, and they were in danger of holding
- 15:11tradition higher than God's Word. 9 And he said unto them,
- 15:15full well, you reject the commandment of God, that you may
- 15:19keep your own tradition. It doesn't get much plainer than
- 15:24that. It does not get much more matter
- 15:26of fact than that. They are upholding their own
- 15:31traditions and they're rejecting God's Word. 10 For Moses said,
- 15:36honor your father and mother, and whosoever causes or curses
- 15:40his father or mother, let him die the death.
- 15:45So he's reminding them of their law.
- 15:49He just reminded them of the prophets, so he's coming in.
- 15:54This is how genius Jesus Christ is.
- 15:58He is all knowledge wrapped up in humanity.
- 16:03He is the Godhead, He is the Trinity, He is all wisdom.
- 16:10And he's showing them through the law and the prophets that
- 16:14they are in error. He's telling them what Moses
- 16:17said. He just told them what Isaiah
- 16:19said. 11 But you say, if a man shall say to his father or
- 16:23mother, it is Corbin, that is to say, a gift, by whatsoever you
- 16:29might be profited by me, he shall be free.
- 16:32So he here, Mark, make sure that he adds in what this Corbin
- 16:38means. And Jesus here is showing the
- 16:42Pharisees that they are using God's ways to exact over their
- 16:52own parents, not just their fellow men, their fellow
- 16:57countrymen, their own heritage, but their own mother and father.
- 17:02They are robbing. 12 And you suffer him no more to do all for
- 17:08his father or his mother. 13 making the word of God of none
- 17:13effect through your tradition, which you have delivered, and
- 17:16many such like things you do. And here Jesus is proving a
- 17:21point. Friends here, Jesus is making
- 17:23sure that they understand that they cannot trap him, they
- 17:27cannot put him in a box, they cannot get him to stumble over
- 17:32his words. Jesus Christ is so perfect.
- 17:36Jesus Christ is always right. And all of these words are our
- 17:45law, All of these words are our prophecy.
- 17:49All of these words are our North Star, our guiding light, our
- 17:54road map. It is going to get us to Jesus
- 17:58is going to get us home, friends.
- 18:00And we need to, by and by, rely on every syllable, every jot,
- 18:05and every title. And he's making it as plain as
- 18:08humanly possible, friends. 14 And when he had called all the
- 18:16people unto him, he said unto them, Listen to me, everyone of
- 18:21you, and understand. Now when Jesus says, listen to
- 18:25me, we would do well to pause, to lock in, and to make sure
- 18:30that we are paying attention to what he is saying. 15 There is
- 18:35nothing from outside a man that enters into him that can defile
- 18:43him, but the things which come out of him, those are they that
- 18:48defile the man. So here the Pharisees were so
- 18:51wrapped up in the washing of the hands and the pots and the
- 18:55plates, and they thought that that was the defilement.
- 18:59And they thought of themselves as some super race that they
- 19:05were going to be set apart from the rest of the world.
- 19:08And they thought to themselves that they were better than
- 19:12everyone. And that was never God's plan.
- 19:15Listen to what Jesus is saying. He is showing us that it is not
- 19:20what goes in. And here He's releasing us from
- 19:24all of the kosher laws that they have.
- 19:27He is releasing us and letting us know that those things that
- 19:31when he was giving them over to Moses, when he was given the law
- 19:36about all of the things, it was for their own well-being.
- 19:39And then now as we progress, we can see that a lot of those
- 19:44things have been eradicated. The diseases and the things that
- 19:49would have killed them. God knows best and hear Jesus in
- 19:53this time, and He's going to do it later with Peter on the
- 19:55rooftop, with the letting down of the sheet, with all the
- 19:59animals. He is letting us know that it
- 20:02is. It's not our duty to stay
- 20:04kosher. We do not have to.
- 20:06We have to only abstain from sexual immorality and we have to
- 20:11abstain from meat that has been sacrificed to idols.
- 20:15Other than that, we are free friends.
- 20:17And he's going to tell them that it's what goes in that defiles
- 20:21or it's not that what goes in is what comes out.
- 20:24And he's going to tell us that it is the intentions.
- 20:27Our intentions inside of our heart is what's coming out that
- 20:31defiles us. Friends. 16 If any man have ears
- 20:36to hear, let him hear. So he just said in 14 listen to
- 20:40me, everyone of you understand. Then in 16 if you have ears,
- 20:46listen up. 17 And when he was entered into the house from the
- 20:49people, his disciples asked him concerning the parable. 18 And
- 20:55he said unto them, Are you so without understanding?
- 20:58Also? Do you not perceive that
- 21:01whatsoever thing from without entering into the man, it cannot
- 21:06defile him, 19 because it enters not into his heart, but into the
- 21:11belly and goes out into the drought, purging all meats.
- 21:15He's saying that eventually it's going to make its way back out.
- 21:20But the things that we store in our heart, the things that we
- 21:25meditate upon are the things that get us in trouble, friends.
- 21:30And He's showing them that they do not need to stay over there
- 21:34in preschool and in elementary school.
- 21:37They need to be a student of His words.
- 21:42They need to know and meditate upon the higher things.
- 21:45We cannot just behave like animals, friends.
- 21:49We do not need to be so debased and so degraded.
- 21:53God is calling us into a higher level of meditation and thinking
- 21:58upon eternal things, things that actually have eternal value.
- 22:03We cannot be so wrapped up in this world.
- 22:08Yes, we love our neighbor as ourselves and we love God more
- 22:12than any, and we need to make sure that we are living in light
- 22:16of eternity. And that's what He's inviting us
- 22:18into, Friends. 20 And he said that which comes out of the man
- 22:25that defiles him. 21 For from within, out of the heart of men
- 22:32proceed evil thoughts. Adultery, fornication, murder,
- 22:46thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit,
- 22:59lasciviousness, evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness.
- 23:17All these evil things come from within and defile the man.
- 23:26Jesus did not stutter. Jesus shows us all of the things
- 23:34that we're storing up in our hearts, and if we're not
- 23:37careful, they will take root and they will manifest themselves
- 23:42into our actions and they will not just stay as thoughts.
- 23:51After we get done entertaining an evil thought, it starts to
- 23:57take root. If you do not take those
- 23:59thoughts captive and make them obedient unto this word unto
- 24:04Jesus Christ, friends, what will happen is you will wind up in a
- 24:08place that you never saw yourself.
- 24:12This is where so many moral failures happen is because it
- 24:17was the secret sin that was first entertained in the mind
- 24:22that took root and it LED them away.
- 24:31It LED them into a place that they never thought that they
- 24:37would ever be, and it was because they did not obey His
- 24:42word. Evil thoughts lead to adultery.
- 24:53Evil thoughts lead to fornication.
- 24:56Evil thoughts lead to murder. Evil thoughts lead to theft.
- 25:04Evil thoughts lead to the coveting of what others have,
- 25:12wanting what others have. Evil thoughts lead to the
- 25:15wickedness that it abounds all around us.
- 25:20The evil thoughts lead to deception.
- 25:24The evil thoughts lead to blasphemy and pride and
- 25:29foolishness. They all are housed within
- 25:35before they come out on full display.
- 25:42We would do well to take those thoughts captive, to stomp the
- 25:48head of the serpent immediately. Do not entertain those thoughts.
- 25:5324 And from there he arose and went into the borders of Tyre
- 25:58and Sidon and into a house, and would have no man know it, but
- 26:02he could not be hid. You, you can't hide Jesus.
- 26:07Jesus is on full display. All of creation proclaims his
- 26:11name, so that man is without excuse, Jesus.
- 26:15The glory of Jesus is on full display.
- 26:18Friends, look around. It's everywhere.
- 26:21It's in people. You can see the creative hand of
- 26:25God, the handiwork of God on the human.
- 26:29You can see it in the trees, you can see it in the animals, you
- 26:33can see it in the mountains and in the ocean.
- 26:36You can see it in all of geography and the topography.
- 26:41You can see it in archaeology. You can see it friends all over
- 26:47architecture. You can see it in the
- 26:50creativeness all around you. It is God's hand and even the
- 26:58rocks will cry out if we do not. Jesus cannot be hid, He's all
- 27:04around. We must look for Him and have
- 27:06the blinders taken off so we can see, so we can truly see the
- 27:11spiritual realm happening all around US. 25 for a certain
- 27:16woman whose young daughter had an unclean spirit, heard of him
- 27:20and came and fell at his feet. That is our appropriate
- 27:25response. Friends, fall at his feet today.
- 27:28Worship Him in spirit and truth. 26 The woman was a Greek and a
- 27:35Syrophoenician by nation, And she begged him that he would
- 27:39cast forth the devil out of her daughter.
- 27:43So we know that this Syrophoenician woman, she is
- 27:48coming to him and begging Jesus to heal her little daughter. 27
- 27:54But Jesus said unto her, Let the children first be filled, for it
- 27:59is not meat to take the children's bread and to cast it
- 28:02unto the dogs. Here Jesus is likening her to a
- 28:09dog, and he is saying that during this time he is sending
- 28:15out his disciples to the Jewish nation 1st and then it would
- 28:22creep in to all the Gentiles. He's saying first let the Jews
- 28:27make their decision before the Gentiles are reached.
- 28:31And here she catches a glimpse of what is to come.
- 28:34Here she understands the deity of Jesus Christ.
- 28:38She understands that he is not just for the Jewish nation, but
- 28:42he is for the whole world. And here she is crying out, and
- 28:47she knows the power that he contains, that everything was
- 28:51spoken by him that exists and is for him and to him.
- 28:55And she is begging him. And sometimes that is our
- 28:59approach, Friends, we should knock and knock and knock and
- 29:04knock some more and do not give up.
- 29:08Beg him for the healing. When the healing doesn't come,
- 29:13do not give up. And do not be offended when he
- 29:17calls you a dog. We could do well. 28 and she
- 29:24answered and said unto him, yes, Lord, yet the dogs under the
- 29:27table eat of the children's crumbs.
- 29:30Praise God, Hallelujah for the faith of this woman.
- 29:33What a marvel this is that Jesus sees her faith and she says I
- 29:39may be a dog because I'm not a Jew, I'm a Gentile.
- 29:47But even the little dogs come and eat the crumbs under their
- 29:51master's table. These little puppies get to come
- 29:54and eat of all the little falling crumbs.
- 29:59And you know when we come to the Lord, it's not crumbs, it is
- 30:05abundance. Friends, He's going to ask you,
- 30:08what do you have? And even if you only have two
- 30:12fish and a few loaves, give it to him and watch how he
- 30:17multiplies it. 29 And he said unto her, for this saying, Go
- 30:25your way, the devil has gone out of your daughter.
- 30:28He already knew what he wanted to do.
- 30:30He already knew. And she was relentless.
- 30:34She would not give up. She gave him the faith that
- 30:38moves mountains and it's not about the size of the faith,
- 30:42it's who your faith is in and it's in Jesus Christ.
- 30:45He can do anything. He's not just hyper fixated on
- 30:48the Jews. He loves everyone, He loves the
- 30:51whole world, and he already knows who belongs to Him. 30 And
- 30:56when she was come to her house, she found the devil gone out,
- 31:00and her daughter laid upon the bed.
- 31:02Praise God, Hallelujah, the healing power is available to
- 31:05you today, friends, Cry out unto the Lord, seek him while he may
- 31:10be found. Ask for the healing.
- 31:13Be healed of all your sins, friends, which is the greatest
- 31:17healing that could ever come, is to be forgiven of all of your
- 31:20sins and to know that you're going to bust heaven wide open.
- 31:2531 And again departing from the coast of Tyre and saidon he came
- 31:29unto the Sea of Galilee through the midst of the coast of
- 31:33Decapolis. So you remember, he sent legion,
- 31:38He sent the Demoniac, He sent him where?
- 31:42Into Decapolis, Here are these 10 cities.
- 31:46And Jesus told him, no, don't follow me, but go and tell
- 31:50everyone all the things I've done for you.
- 31:53And he went and published all the things that Jesus did for
- 31:56him throughout the Decapolis and throughout his area.
- 32:01And here Jesus, after all that Jesus is going into Decapolis,
- 32:05let's see what he has to say. 32 And they brought unto him one
- 32:09that was deaf and had an impediment in his speech, and
- 32:14they begged him to put his hand upon him.
- 32:17You know, Jesus is limitless in the way that he can heal us.
- 32:21He's limitless in his resources. He's limitless in his power,
- 32:25friends. 33 And he took him aside from the multitude, and he
- 32:30put his fingers into his ears, and he spit and touched his
- 32:34tongue. Praise God.
- 32:35Hallelujah for Jesus's spit, for Jesus's methods, for Jesus's
- 32:42power. And here Jesus is showing us
- 32:46that there are many different ways that the healing comes.
- 32:49It is not just one way. If you have tried everything,
- 32:54try again. If you have laid on your face
- 32:57prostate with tears, fast. And if the prayer and the
- 33:04fasting does not move that mountain, then pray and fast
- 33:09some more. Friends, do not give up.
- 33:12If you have breath in your lungs, it's not too late.
- 33:15The Lord can do anything. 34 And looking up to heaven, he sighed
- 33:20and said unto him, F Fatah, that is, be open.
- 33:25And straightway his ears were open, and the string of his
- 33:29tongue was loosed, and he spoke plainly.
- 33:33That's what happens when you come to the Lord.
- 33:35That's what happens when you get healed from the Lord.
- 33:38The Lord helps you to speak plainly about His Word.
- 33:45It's black and white, friends. He gave you the full authority
- 33:49of His Word. And we are so preoccupied with
- 33:52wanting to know all of the extra biblical things, then we're not
- 33:56even locked in to the words that He's already given us.
- 33:59We need to make it plain, friends, and He could not have
- 34:02made it more humanly plain than from Genesis to Revelation and
- 34:07all. We are not inventors of new
- 34:09things. All we do is bring up all of the
- 34:15jewels in the gems in the well, source of all the resources that
- 34:21He's already entrusted to us. We must obey those things before
- 34:25we ever see new light. Jesus has given us the ability
- 34:31to speak plain in our theology and doctrine, and we do not need
- 34:35to deviate left or right or add anything to it.
- 34:39There is nothing that needs to get added to the Word of God for
- 34:42people to be saved. It is the full authority.
- 34:46Friends make it plain, speak plainly. 36 And he charged them
- 34:52that they should tell no man. But the more he charged them, so
- 34:55much more, the great deal. They published it.
- 34:58You cannot hide this man. You cannot hide his word.
- 35:01It is going to come out. It is going to be mainstream.
- 35:05You can't do anything with. It doesn't matter which network
- 35:09you turn on. It does not matter which channel
- 35:13you tune into. It does not matter.
- 35:15It's Jesus all over everything and if people are trying to RIP
- 35:19him out, people are trying to get rid of him and all they're
- 35:22doing is trying to clear their conscience because he is
- 35:26convicting them and they do not want to listen to the
- 35:30conviction, so they want to do away with them.
- 35:33But you can't do anything with him.
- 35:35He is here to stay. Friends.
- 35:37It's all about him. We'll end on 37, and we're
- 35:41beyond measure astonished, saying he has done all things
- 35:45well. He makes both the deaf to hear
- 35:49and the dumb to speak. And you will see greater things,
- 35:53friends. You will see mightier works than
- 35:57these, Jesus Christ coming in glory with all the angels and
- 36:07with all the Saints coming to rule and reign for 1000 years.
- 36:12You will see the New Jerusalem coming down.
- 36:16You will see God Almighty coming to be with us forever.
- 36:23You will see greater things than this.
- 36:25Let's not get tripped up and trapped in the here and the now.
- 36:30Yes, we need to be light and salt to this generation.
- 36:34Light and salt for our little lifetime that He's given us.
- 36:40But greater things are to come. Friends, we've only touched the
- 36:47tip of the iceberg. We've only got to see glimpses
- 36:52of His glory, glory, Hallelujah, glory descending on us and
- 36:59enveloping us and encapsulating and rapturing us in His love and
- 37:05His mercy and His might and His power.
- 37:09This holy reverence in awe for the King of kings and the Lord
- 37:14of Lords, Faithful, true, righteous, our King Jesus comes
- 37:23riding in praise God, Hallelujah.
- 37:26I hope you've been blessed by this chapter here and Mark, I
- 37:29know I sure have. Praying for every single one of
- 37:36you. I love you, so does God.
- 37:43We'll see you back here tomorrow.
- 37:45God bless you.
